Starting point is 00:00:18 Open the I-Hart Radio app. Search Las Coulteristas and click watch or tap. Look, Matt. Where? Oh, I see. Wow. Bowen, look over there. Wow, is that culture? Yes.
Starting point is 00:00:31 Oh, my goodness. Wow. Las cultureistas. Ding dong, Las Cultureistas calling. Live from Hollywood. Live from... Live from... Ha.
Starting point is 00:00:40 ...street. Well, we should cut that out. We shouldn't give... We shouldn't... We shouldn't... Well, we are... Because if you said the street, it's one of those streets that's so small in L.A.
Starting point is 00:00:50 where if you said the street, everyone would know exactly where to come. And it's only one thing on the street. There's a million people on this fucking street every time I come here. You don't have to use fresh language. We're catching a vibe today. We said this was going to be the Vives episode.
Starting point is 00:01:03 This is the Vives episode. And for that reason, we are wearing sunglasses for parts, for important parts to punctuate the conversation. I do think it's a lot brighter in here than usual. Yeah. Oh, God. We had an accompanist in high school. His name was Robert Lowe.
Starting point is 00:01:23 Like Rob Lowe. Like Rob Lowe. And he was this, I don't know, we'll call him a cool. hat, but he would clearly come in, hung over. So, H-O. And he would wear sunglasses, stroll in at 3.30 p.m. on a Tuesday. And then we'd be just running our, you know,
Starting point is 00:01:48 our scales on stage. And then there was just one day I'll never forget it. He goes, God, can we just turn these lights down while wearing sunglasses? Robert. I'm like Rob Lowe, you are so H-O. Well, to say nothing of how the other Roblo is H-O-T. One of my favorite celebrity memoirs is Roblo's, I think, first memoir, because I think he has more than one.
Starting point is 00:02:12 And could you look up if Roblo has, and how many autobiographies Roblo has? It's going to be important for the conversation today. Now, what do you think is the difference? I mean, there are like, you know, things that are characteristic of an autobiography and a memoir. and a memoir. An autobiography. Comprehensive, chronological.
Starting point is 00:02:31 And a memoir can be sort of a just a glimpse. Exposatory. Yeah. I prefer a glimpse. It's actually real culture number nine. I prefer a glimpse. When it comes to biopics,
Starting point is 00:02:42 I would like to see like, this is the week I really hurt my leg, but by the end of the week, I still did the show. Yeah. I'd rather see overcame leg injury and did the performance, the program,
Starting point is 00:02:54 then this is what happened when I was six, you're going to see me an old age makeup at 99. I don't give a fuck. How many memoirs? One autobiography. Oh, I bet that's really good. I bet that's really good. You know, speaking of collection of humor.
Starting point is 00:03:14 I was looking at the cast list. You're not even going to believe this. A five-star weekend? Yes. Yes. And not only was our guest in the show, I have a feeling. That's why maybe she stopped by today. Like maybe a little show, starting on July 9th on Peacock.
Starting point is 00:03:32 Catch a vibe, why don't you? But also Regina Hall. Chloe 7E, ever heard of it? Ever heard of it? Ever heard of that? Our producer, Rebecca, is slipperying through the door. Like Chloe 7E. There we go.
Starting point is 00:03:47 Like Chloe 7E slipped into this cast. Flipped into the cast. But Chloe would never be caught dead in Los Angeles. The water's too hard for her. Well, she might be caught dead in this show. because we're hearing that there is a ton of suspense in drama as well as Jennifer Garner. And she can do it all. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:04:07 So good in 13 going on 30. Oh. So good in Love Simon. Yes. So good in Alias. But she's not here. She's not here. Our wonderful friend is.
Starting point is 00:04:18 She's catching a vibe. She's catching a vibe. We have very fun memories of her in this space, in this very building. Yeah. This is the night when she popped in for our. great global songbook episodes. Oh, huge. I love this place.
Starting point is 00:04:33 I love this place. I love this woman. L.A. meaning Dars, and I said the name a little early, I shot the load, but I'm sucking the load back up to shoot it again. Really? That's how it works. That's how it works.
Starting point is 00:04:47 In LA, please welcome Darcy Garden. Hey, wow! How long have you been able to do that trick? Since I watched Greece, the first. Oh my god, they do that in Greece. That's right. My head's too big. I feel like it's like brush up, brush up, braisha.
Starting point is 00:05:03 Brasha, brush up. That's a highlight of that film. That is. In a film of highlights. Really good every scene. Really good every scene. Oh, I'll take it. It's so bright, says Robert Lowe.
Starting point is 00:05:16 I think I might be a little hungover. Do you think so? What was last night? We went to jar last night. Oh, fine. Did you have the leechi, martini? Should we have? It's famous for. Can I just say something?
Starting point is 00:05:28 this is not my I don't think so honey. Yeah. But I said this at the gold gala in front of many high profile Asians. They're like, what's your hot take about Asian culture? I go, leachy looks and feels like glands, gonads, testicles. For sure. It does. Why are we like, okay, popping that into our mouths?
Starting point is 00:05:47 It's vainy. It's so messed up. It's so wrong. It's just messed up. If you unzipped a testy squirted out what's ever in there, it's going to be a leech. to be in that martini. I'll tell you something. The balls I have in my mouth
Starting point is 00:06:01 that don't taste like leachy. Funky. That's to say nothing of my current same-sex partner. I'm making a joke. Fraser, I'm not commenting on the smell or taste of balls. But you kind of did.
Starting point is 00:06:12 Which was that it was good. No, no. Now someone's gonna, someone's gonna be down there for me and say, ooh, I love these leachies. Well, I think that's good. You want it to be leechy. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:06:21 You'd rather it was leachy than stinky. Worst flavor on three. One, two, three. Go, that. Stinky. But it's in tie with. mango. Grape?
Starting point is 00:06:30 Hate grape. But you hate grapes. Are you kidding me? You hate grape flavor. I know. Wait, what are you? I love grapes. I love grapes.
Starting point is 00:06:38 I hate grapes. Well, no, the flavor of grape. Yeah. Is that? I don't understand. The flavor of grape is so different than a grape. A hundred percent. A grape is 100 percent different than a grapes.
Starting point is 00:06:46 Yes. A grape is 100 percent different than the grapes. And that's rule of culture number 60. A grape is so much different than a grapes. A grape is 180 degrees. different than the flavor grape. Yeah, very good. Now, I do want to...
Starting point is 00:07:03 Rob Lowe. Rob Lowe. Turn the lights up. A hundred 80 degrees different than Robert Lowe. I need to, I need for us to go back to what Matt also said in that statement, which is he doesn't like mango. Oh, yeah, you don't like mango the fruit or the flavor?
Starting point is 00:07:15 It's one of the best. That's what I said. Wasn't it exactly what I said? So why I feel the need to ask a question? You said you didn't like mango, which is I've never heard anyone in my life deride mango. Had you been listening to me at the... thinner last night I did say it. You said it last night because you were like, I don't want a mango.
Starting point is 00:07:32 It was a sour. You had a side conversation. I was not included. It was a sorbet option. Oh, and you said not mango for me. I said, no, thank you. And I also said no, thank you to passion fruit, one of the other worst. You got your taste buds on wrong, doll. But doll. But doll. Here's my thing. I was going to save it for it. I don't think so honey at a future time. And you can. Passion fruit should be the name for strawberry. Oh, my. Wait, let me take it all that. Passion fruit should be the name for strawberry. Okay. Why is it called strawberry a? Straw? B, the most passionate fruit is strawberry. Easily.
Starting point is 00:08:04 It looks like a heart. Can I ask a question about where they wear strawberry bushes most grow? Is it amongst straw? Is it amongst straw? Like, could that be true? I am not. Okay, I do feel like horses eat straw and horses like strawberries. So they got to be close to each other.
Starting point is 00:08:17 If I know anything about horses, straw is strawberries. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But I thought they liked carrot. Okay, here I am thinking carrots? They definitely do like carrots. Is straw the same thing as hay? And if so, I'm right. Becca or Anna, we actually are going to need a Google.
Starting point is 00:08:34 Is straw the same thing as hay? Is straw the same thing as hay? Now, carrot is the right name for that. For sure. Oh, okay, so straw and hay. Hay is a nutrient rich feed. Who knew? Hays and nutrient rich feed.
Starting point is 00:08:47 Not us. Legumes. Straw is golden yellow. Golden yellow. Wheat. And wheat or oat. Okay. So didn't realize they were both food.
Starting point is 00:08:56 I thought they were literally sticks. Sticks where I suck up my drink. Oh, yeah, right. Hollow sticks, aka straws. Yeah. Okay, so what was your flavor? So my thing is, passion fruit should be the name for strawberries. I'm there with you for that.
Starting point is 00:09:12 I don't think so, honey, strawberries being the name of strawberries being named the passion fruit. And that's what that's that's all I'm saying. It's going to be hard, but I think we can do it. And then what was the flavor that you said you hate? I don't hate my. Oh, I just said stinky. Stinky. Stinky is not a flavor.
Starting point is 00:09:29 I know what I say gonad. What's a flavor I hate? Leachie. Leachie. You hate leachy? I despise leachy. What do I hate? I definitely hate some things.
Starting point is 00:09:37 But I also love so many things. Down to the purest flavor. You don't want to offend any fruits. I don't like rosemary flavor. Interesting. Yeah. What's that about? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:09:46 Just like, I also don't like hazelnut flavor. Okay. You don't. Nutella almost impossible for me. Oh, yeah. That's going to be hard. It's okay. It's okay.
Starting point is 00:09:56 So, Rosemary, you ever? You ever have like a rosemary infused drink? Sure. To me, it's a total. I don't think it ever makes it better. It's a total mango for me. Yeah, exactly. It's a total mango for me.
Starting point is 00:10:08 For me. If anyone ever gave me a drink with rosemary in it, I would say, hey, can you throw this out? Yeah. Rosemary. I don't like it as a name either. Do you remember, do you remember that musical? Rosemary. Can you name it?
Starting point is 00:10:25 You know it so well. sounds like does it sound like Matthew Broderick singing it no what were they in? Tell us It's a question
Starting point is 00:10:34 How does it I guess that's a Google actually Yeah that's a Google It's a big blind spot from me But did you hear about this? Okay
Starting point is 00:10:45 Cynthia and Ariana are both going to be in very like you know Not oft produced Songheim musicals Cynthia is doing passion
Starting point is 00:10:55 with Jonathan Groff. Directed by Jamie Lloyd. Ooh. And Ariana. And Jonathan Bailey are doing. Okay, take your Jonathan's and spin around. Take your Jonathan's. We love that.
Starting point is 00:11:05 Those are great Jonathan's. Those are two of the best Jonathan's. They're really great. And I mean, like, those are two of the best Jonathan's in the history of America. Of Jonathan. Or England. Oh, the world's over.
Starting point is 00:11:17 Yeah. Who sucks? That's Jonathan. Oh, there are some. Jonathan Swift. Do you. Jonathan Franzen. Jonathan, okay.
Starting point is 00:11:24 Stop. Put the pen down. Oh, right, right, right. Jonathan Taylor Thomas, you didn't have staying power. Oh, stop. He's like, my children. They're not listening to this. They might be.
Starting point is 00:11:36 Or if they are. Maybe they are in the future. Oh, oh gosh. You did it. I would hate for Jonathan Taylor Thomas's kids in the future to be like, I'm going to listen to every lost cult. And they get to whatever this is 549 or whatever. Guess they didn't like Dada.
Starting point is 00:11:53 Oh, no. Oh, I guess they didn't like Dadda. They're 30, but they're calling him Dadda. He makes them. Can I just clear up, I've loved Jonathan Taylor Thomas from the running name? Because I was doing a bit. And also, you were like, if I can't have him, no one will. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:08 I'm always like that. I know you are. Yeah. You're always doing that. I'm always doing that. I'm always saying that to people. You're always saying that to people. I'm always saying to people.
Starting point is 00:12:16 If I can't have them, no one can. I'm always doing things. I'm always saying stuff like that to him. I'm always saying stuff like this to him. You know, No, we can talk about it. That's true. It's been out for weeks.
Starting point is 00:12:26 You guys know it. You love it. We're talking about the Culture Awards. The Culture Awards. Darcy did it for a second year in a row. I can't believe we've really cracked open like this sort of, you know, Cagney and Lacey of our time and it is you and Joel Kim. That's so funny.
Starting point is 00:12:40 That's so funny. You will always present together at the Culture Awards. I mean, please, like, don't make promises your ass can't deposit. Yeah. Don't write checks about. My ass depositing. My, my. I would love a deposit in my ass right now.
Starting point is 00:12:56 I would love a deposit in my ass right now. I've been vocal about it. I need deposit. God, get on it, hon. Need to pause. Need to pause on my depose. Need those paws on my depose. And that's the wit and humor
Starting point is 00:13:11 that booked you the five star weekend. Tell us about it. That was pretty much my audition. The pause. You're in, you're in. You're in. The five star weekend. Five star weekend.
Starting point is 00:13:22 We're very much fun. We love it. Peacock is an amazing family. Peacock is I? When you're here, you're peacock. When you're your family, you're peacock. Remember when we all saw each other at the up fronts? I'm like, hey, this is crazy.
Starting point is 00:13:34 I know, it was like, it felt, what was it, 10 in the morning? It was just sort of, everyone was a Monday. It was a Monday. Everyone was sort of like freshly coffied. You know what I mean? It was a little like, ah! Yeah. It felt a little like, ah!
Starting point is 00:13:47 And then we were about, I'm sure, of course, you guys had rehearsed, but we hadn't rehearsed, so we hadn't rehearsed, so. So what we're talking about listeners is we did something called UpFriends for NBC, where you basically like get, you basically like sell your show to like a bunch of ad people. Yeah. And we did it at the Radio City Music Hall and it was packed ass. But quiet ass. But quiet ass. We hadn't rehearsed anything.
Starting point is 00:14:13 So you're backstage at, again, Radio City Music Hall. And I don't even know which way is going to, what curtain is going to open. Yeah. And then it opened. and you're on stage at radio. It's so overwhelming. Yeah. And there's a sea of lovely, wonderful people
Starting point is 00:14:28 that don't want to make a noise. No. Not a sound. Nope. Not a clap, not a laugh, not a nothing. Not a Twitter. But that's okay,
Starting point is 00:14:36 and we love you, and we hope that you love us and buy it. Please buy it. Buy it. Hey, buy it. Whatever it is, you better buy it. Better buy it. But it was really,
Starting point is 00:14:45 I mean, not to like break it down too much, but guys, it's so fun seeing you that shit like that. It's random fun. It does warm my heart to see you. Of course it does. Any real genuine friend there. I'm like, hi. Because then it's just like you turn the corner and it's like an over caffeinated person from like a procedural.
Starting point is 00:15:02 Yes, somebody that you've maybe watched on TV for 20 to 30 years. And I'm like, oh. Hi, yes. And we know each other. We were coming off stage and we were sort of like jaunting off like, hey, we did it. And then it was just Mariska. Of course it was. Being like, that was great.
Starting point is 00:15:14 I was like, hi. Hi. Nice to meet you. Yes, totally. Totally. It's that. It's that vibe for show. And of course, when you're peacock your family, so you have to kind of act like your sisters.
Starting point is 00:15:21 Yeah. She's cousin. She's cousin. She's cousin for show. Yeah, she's good. Wait, but what's your vibe when you're back in New York City? I love it so much. You love it so much.
Starting point is 00:15:28 Don't you love it so much? You hit the restaurants. Oh, I love hitting restaurant. And the theater. And the theater can't be beat. I love hitting the goddamn theater. I just saw Maya and O. Mary. Oh!
Starting point is 00:15:39 How was it? Your lover. It was so good. My lover. It was so good. Did you say you love her or my lover? I said your lover. And I said my lover.
Starting point is 00:15:47 Yeah. And I do love her. And I love her, but my lover. It was amazing. And I'll just see that every new cast until I die. I love it so much. I think I've seen the only one I missed was, oh, I missed John Cameron Mitchell because I wasn't there the entire time. But I'm a completest.
Starting point is 00:16:03 You're a completest. I'm seeing every Mary. I missed Krakow. I know. Well, I'm going to see her this week. So I'll tell her you missed her. And what I'm doing is I'm flying to Ireland for like two nights to do an episode of Celebrity. named that tune. It shoots in Ireland because I bet it's cheaper to do that and then I'll
Starting point is 00:16:26 like unbelievable and yet believe it. I get to donate a hundred thousand dollars or something like that to charity and it's going to be amazing and and also I'll win because I'm really good at name that tune. Yeah. Or maybe I won't because I'll get in my head. So let's let's practice. Ready? Go do that. Bailey Ray. Why did I say Corian, Billy Ray?
Starting point is 00:16:55 It's Corinne Belly Ray, but you were right. I like Corian. Corian was my college. Corian. Corian. Belly and Kelly. Yes.
Starting point is 00:17:05 Go put Yons records on. Yes. Love that. That's a great twist. I love that twist. Did I make up Yons? I think my sister and I said Yons. Yons.O.N.S for your...
Starting point is 00:17:18 No, no. Yons? But I think Yons is... Getting a cry. when you see this sad movie. Yons? No, like, Yon's isn't like Christmas Carols, but I think you and Miranda did invent it.
Starting point is 00:17:27 I think it did. And we say Yins. But Yins I think is like Pittsburgh or something like. Yins. Yins guys. Yins guys. What's Yins guys? Yins guys.
Starting point is 00:17:35 Google it, Google it, Google it. Yins guys means like Ustetus. Like you all, you all go, Yins guys gotta go down to the bar. Yen's guys. Yen's got to go to the John. Yeah. You never heard this before.
Starting point is 00:17:47 But Yon is like your, and that's just Miranda and Darcy talking. I'm gonna say, The state of Pennsylvania has come up with the craziest words in the English language. Totally, totally. Or just the uses of words. For sure. It's time for round two of name that too.
Starting point is 00:18:00 Okay. Okay, it's hard. Sorry. Sorry the artist is calibrating. Okay, here we go. Hmm. Hmm. Hmm.
Starting point is 00:18:12 Hmm. Hmm. Can I have this song again, please? I know it. Okay. Hmm. You're going to a different part? Yes.
Starting point is 00:18:25 This is the verse. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Since you took your love, Sinadi O'Connor. Yes. Cori Ann O'Connor. Nothing compares to yawn. Nothing yon pairs to yawn.
Starting point is 00:18:47 Nothing up there. That wasn't so good. It was so good. I think this is a perfect time to introduce a game that I don't think will succeed. Okay, great. But it's called the girl game.
Starting point is 00:19:03 Okay, wow, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, this is good. We all take a turn and we sing, we think of a song that has the word girl in it. We sing the pitch of one girl in the song. Okay. And then we have to guess what song you're thinking of it. Okay, and when he says we sing the pitch of it. So if it was my girl, it would just be, girl. For example, for a girl, go put yon records on, I would have gone.
Starting point is 00:19:28 Girl! Okay, okay, okay, okay. So you just do the girl, the girl moment. The girl moment. Okay, okay. So do you wanna- Give me one sec to just think of a girl song. Okay, it's actually hard.
Starting point is 00:19:37 Yeah. It's quite hard. It's quite hard. It may be too hard. No, no, no. Because also we can take a beat and they could cut out this dead-ass air, fard. I don't know if you guys do things like that.
Starting point is 00:19:48 All the songs I'm thinking of are like too hard. Like I wanna do, it's about to be a girl fight. But then it would just be, no, girl. Right, but here you would have gone. Girl. Okay, let me just think. Girl. Okay, I got...
Starting point is 00:20:01 Okay. Okay. Okay, ready? Mm-hmm. Okay. Girl. One more time. One more, one more time.
Starting point is 00:20:11 One more time. I think I had. But that was the note. That was, yeah. Okay. I don't want to give you anything away. It's okay. Girl.
Starting point is 00:20:21 A little different. Girl. Girl. Girl. I'm not there. Girl. Close. Girl.
Starting point is 00:20:26 Girl. Girl. Girl. Girl. Girl. Girl. Girl, girl. Do you want me to give you like any more?
Starting point is 00:20:34 Girl. Give us the. Yeah, should I give you like a, the word before or after? Give us a word far away from the girl. Okay, how about this? I'm gonna go like this. Yeah. Girl.
Starting point is 00:20:47 Boom, boom. Girl. Woman. I'm not a girl. I'm not a girl. Don't tell me what to believe. Not yet. The woman is...
Starting point is 00:21:05 Go ahead. That was really good. All I need is time. A moment that is my... I'm emotional. Wait. You are. Because you want to know what?
Starting point is 00:21:23 We never sing on the podcast anymore. I know. It's been so long. Honestly, you did a little singing with Josh and Aaron, I feel. But not a lot. But not a lot. That's just Broadway. Yeah, that's true.
Starting point is 00:21:34 That's just Broadway. You inspire the music. I love the music. I love the music too. Let's take it back. To music. Okay, play girl. Whose turn?
Starting point is 00:21:43 It's a flaw. It needs one new rule. Well, we have to work. I mean, we have to, like, this rule. Yeah. Okay. We get it ready, and then Katie Kirk will nail it. Ready?
Starting point is 00:21:54 Go! I can tell you you've been crying and you need somebody to talk to. Go! Destiny's child. You guys have twins. You know, like, when twins or siblings have, like, correct pitches together? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I think it could be true that we have.
Starting point is 00:22:10 are somehow twins. God is so big. How did you feel about us getting sexual with each other at the Culture Awards? It was well it was like it was legitimately hot. Who was I sitting next to? You were sitting next to Jill Kim. Jason? Yes. I was sitting next to my husband and Joel. Well weren't you next to your husband? Yeah I was next to. Or was it someone else? No, it's my husband. No, you've been carrying on an affair with Joel Kim
Starting point is 00:22:36 and it's over. What if I was carrying? It ends today. Today is the day that it ends. What if I carrying on an affair with Jason for decades. With Jason? Yes. My husband and I have been carrying on an affair. But I called him my husband, but it was an affair. We find out you have like your actual husband from Lute. Yes.
Starting point is 00:22:53 He's very old. Very old. Okay. I... Jason's looking good. He's always good. He's always hot. And I want...
Starting point is 00:23:01 Can we just say that? He's so hot. No, he's so hot. You can. Can we do it once? He's so hot. I love this part. Oh, me too.
Starting point is 00:23:09 I love that. part of a man. I bet he likes those parts too on you. Right here. What's going on with you? Speaking of a man coming in here. Can you hear? Speaking of the man in our life,
Starting point is 00:23:23 always handling our long pole. Is this about good? You're perfect. Okay. You're perfect. He's just anal. Even though we asked him yesterday, ever tried it in the butt?
Starting point is 00:23:33 No. Okay, so obviously Brittany and Malin are so hot. They're so hot. They're so hot. They're so hot on the show. But on their show, but on stage in person, you guys, I'm so sorry, Brittany and Malin, you guys are so hot, but you guys actually hotted them down.
Starting point is 00:23:52 No. We framed them. I mean, because we've also seen them, like, eat each other out. Yeah. Okay, but you guys, like, we haven't seen you guys eat each other out. Not yet. So it was so exciting to see you eat each other out. We play two gay guys who eat each other out.
Starting point is 00:24:06 Fishing husbands. We play two fishermen they meet. mother hunting. I'd watch it. I'd watch it. Hello. The fishing husbands? I would watch it.
Starting point is 00:24:16 And it's just an HGTV sort of tone. We're just picking out decor. I think you should do that. But you guys really had some, like you were, you guys did a great job. And I know it's sibling off.
Starting point is 00:24:26 You know what I mean? He told me earlier in the week that I had to be slower and more central with him. And he said, I know it's weird. And I was like, I'm gonna do it. Don't talk about it. I just wanted to get on the same page
Starting point is 00:24:36 because in the rehearsal, the chore rehearsals, Matt was doing a thing where he was just like... I was being silly. He was feeling, putting his arms in the air and doing this. And then I'm watching it back, I'm like,
Starting point is 00:24:44 it's funny, but it's like, I think we need to make people feel slightly uncomfortable. It was so, I mean, it was actually like heated rivalry. It was like you guys really were doing the slow sexy. Can I turn in and say absolutely? Yes, right?
Starting point is 00:24:57 And again, the peanut gallery, agreeing. It was so hot. It was so hot. And again, Malin and Brittany, you're so hot. Eat each other out every day for the rest of your lives on camera. But I really liked watching
Starting point is 00:25:08 you guys get sex. sleep with each other. Sorry to, I guess I'm into incest. There was, there was so much great um, incest. Woman on woman, man on man in the show. I loved when 80 Brian said, I would never eat much.
Starting point is 00:25:23 Even in a crunch. Even in a crunch. It felt like siblings when you and Paul were kissing. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. Paul and I have kissed before. You've made out before. Well, not made out, but we've kissed. We did this like web series for Broad City. Feels right. Huh? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And your characters, I feel like we, We just did the same thing that we did on the show, which is like we improvised a kit.
Starting point is 00:25:45 I mean, there was no intimacy coordinator. It wasn't in the script. Perfect Easter egg for fans of the BC. I feel like I should read the text that I sent you guys, which is that Paul texted me and said, do you know I'm playing Shrek? And I said, just found out. So excited. And he wrote like something like, if you consent.
Starting point is 00:26:05 I will give you dot, dot, dot. Next test. Next text. A kiss. And then I said I was just about to say we should kiss. So it was a mutually agreed upon kiss. Yes, consent, just like we talked about in the piece. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:18 I love consent. Love consent. I'm enthusiastic for it. I wish I had tonged him down a little more because he kind of, he would have. But that's another layer of consent we think. Well, you just, you don't want to be the one. I do remember like my first stage kiss in a play. Someone tonged.
Starting point is 00:26:34 I tongueed. I tongueed in like a, like a. You have to tell him sometimes. What was it like almost like a response, like a, you know, when the doctor goes like this. Reflective. Oh. Yeah. It was almost like a reflexive thing.
Starting point is 00:26:47 And I think I also kind of had a crush him at the time. So maybe I was like. Who was it? He, you wish you. You don't want to say. I mean. I said Robert Lowe's name. If I said it.
Starting point is 00:26:58 Is he a person today? He's a person that lives today. Oh, okay. He's no longer an actor. But that I think I don't want to. Because of that? No, I don't want to make you say. And one of those great actors that you're just like.
Starting point is 00:27:09 I mean, I mean, where I'm like, your gift. Your gift. Your gift. Your voice. Oh, my gosh. But also, he gave it to us for a long time. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm done with this shit.
Starting point is 00:27:19 There you go. Gave it to us. And people are going to. But I do remember I kind of tonged them down. Yeah. I don't mean I was like like this. Like that a little love. I just kind of like tongue.
Starting point is 00:27:28 And then it was like, oh my God. I'm so sorry. And he was like, it's okay. My only kiss on screen was with a straight man and he was lovely. But I was nervous about it the whole time. Wait, I'm trying to think of it. His name is John O. and it was on the show.
Starting point is 00:27:40 I loved that. Oh, no, the best. He was so handsome and great. And he was so lovely. But I was just like, I was a little bit, like, in my head the whole time, like, I'm kissing a straight man. And then I did a little internalized homophobia of, like, I shouldn't even be here. You guys had good chemistry, though.
Starting point is 00:27:53 I shouldn't even exist. I shouldn't even be on this planet. I was kind of like, ugh, this straight man has to kiss me a gay guy. I didn't think of it. I didn't think of it like an actor has a job and is kissing another actor. I was just like, flagellating. Like, I can't believe it. I shouldn't be here.
Starting point is 00:28:09 Wait, I'm so sorry, this is actually really sad. That's tough. Because it sucks that you had to, like. I know, I know, I know. But also even that that would just even crush your mind. But it is like a thing. Yeah. It is such a thing.
Starting point is 00:28:20 Totally. I never want anyone to feel when I'm kissing them. Like they don't want to do it. Consent. How serious are we getting? Just a little. I loved it. That was our first kiss.
Starting point is 00:28:40 I know. I'm in the Paul Downs Club. I have weirdly kissed so many people on camera. That's wonderful. Not a lot on stage, but so many people on camera. I kind of can't believe it. Well, comedians, they have that. You have to.
Starting point is 00:28:52 Yeah. I have. You've made out with some of the elite. You truly. Some of the hottest women alive. A list mouths. One. Title of app.
Starting point is 00:29:01 A couple, honey. A list mouths. Ariana Grande. A. Oh, Ariana. List. SS. S.S.
Starting point is 00:29:10 Sydney Sweeney. Gina Ganes. Judy Greshon and Scarjo Oh I mean kind of the Oh you're right The world's hottest I also want to tell you that The greatest Johns in America
Starting point is 00:29:19 The greatest Johns Had I known that there would be Mouth on mouth today I would have shaved a little bit Oh no yinz guys That was good I'm yon Yon beard did it all
Starting point is 00:29:31 Today we went to go meet Sudi's baby And I went down to kiss the baby And I was like I can't because of my My beastly face So you're kind of like Every time you kiss someone you're thinking like, I'm a piece of shit.
Starting point is 00:29:43 I'm like, fuck about. Sorry. God, you are a... Well, it's my kink. How do you know we haven't stumbled upon finally the discussion of my kink on this show? Just kissing? Yeah, feeling like a little dirty pig. Feeling like a dirty pig?
Starting point is 00:29:56 Feeling like this per... I don't deserve to be kissed by this baby. Back in the day when I was on Grindr and people would sometimes go like any kinks. Right, right. And I'd be like, uh, I'd be like, not really. I mean, I guess this, this. And they'd be like, for me, it's definitely kissing. Kink, kissing?
Starting point is 00:30:11 Some people think that that is like... It's weird. Some people want to focus on them. Does sometimes a kink mean like, I need this? No. To me, kink means like, this is a strange one, but here's my thing. I'm into it. I don't think it's something that people do.
Starting point is 00:30:28 I think it's something that this guy did because... And that was indicative to me of like, oh, you're not like an intimate... Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. You're not into looking for sex on this app for, like, intimacy and passion. Right, right, right. You're into it, in your words, to bang out and plow. Oh, oh, interesting. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:45 Interesting. Even with kissing. Yeah. Well, I'm just saying, like, if someone's like, I'm into kissing, I feel like it's like, well, I would have, I would have assumed. Wait, so what are you saying that if someone says I'm into kissing? It was just funny because he, the introduction of the conversation was what's your kink. Right. And I said, okay, it's this and this.
Starting point is 00:31:02 And he was like, for me, it's, you know, I contact kissing. You know, things that for me, I was like, yeah. That's spoiler play. It feels like normal sauce. We'll do that. Yeah. Totally, totally, totally. I'm gonna try that.
Starting point is 00:31:13 I'm gonna try that. I'm gonna try that. And how was he? I didn't go. Okay, good. Happens all the time. I lost contact. I know Wi-Fi.
Starting point is 00:31:21 For example. Sadie. I'm drowning. Oh no, I'm fishing. Fishing husbands. I just remembered I had a fishing trip. I've got no service on the lake. There is no way.
Starting point is 00:31:32 I'll get back to you when I'm back from the lake after I caught my bass and my big sea birds. Jason, a fisher guy? Golfer? No. No. What's his most, like, husband? Yeah, what's his most male hobby? Okay, not fishing or golf.
Starting point is 00:31:49 His most male hobby, he's like, he'll fix whatever the fuck. That's hot. Yeah, I guess that's his most male thing. He's a fixer. He'll fix, you know, like, if something's broken, he'll fix it. Oh, my God. What's the craziest thing that he could just fix or has just fixed? I mean, to me, anything with a car blows my mind.
Starting point is 00:32:07 Are you kidding? No. Anything with a car blows my mind. I'm like how, this is science. This would kill me. Yeah. I'm like, I couldn't even fathom. So that, like, just recently had a car thing that he was like,
Starting point is 00:32:18 oh, I'll just buy the thing and I'll fix it. And then he did it and then. Also, I'm going to say it in the car, what button does what? What button does what? What is I'm looking at here? I'm sitting here going, what button? What's this? I don't go.
Starting point is 00:32:31 This ever happen to you? Yeah. The whole dashboard changes color and you're in a different mode. I don't want that. You're like ultimate speed race. I don't want to be an ultimate speed rate. Sometimes it does it day to night. That can be confusing.
Starting point is 00:32:42 But just so you know, that does that. Like when the like sun changes, it might go into dark mode. Don't be scared. Right. I'm here going. I'm here going. I'm supposed to be looking at the road. Right.
Starting point is 00:32:55 Why am I looking at computer? Why is it computer school? Why am I sitting here in computer school when I'm supposed to just be driving in driving class? And driving class and driving world. I went to computer school when I had to in seventh grade. And I do mean there was a period where we had to go to school. To computers. And then you would do kid picks.
Starting point is 00:33:15 Kid picks. Oh my God, kid picks. Wait, I feel like, I feel like Miranda and I, Miranda again, my sister. I feel like we learned how to like, this I feel like is from kid picks. Ah, bay, say, day, hey. When you would type out the letters. Yes. It's like, ah, bay, say, day, day, pay.
Starting point is 00:33:35 F, ha. I'm going to get them wrong. I miss F F. I miss F. Like, Hota, F, G, G, L, M. You learn Spanish through Kittics. But then my favorite was, his voice would go like, Igriga or whatever.
Starting point is 00:33:51 Y, Z, what is Igriga? Igriga? And also, I don't know if I'm doing right. I'm Jeddah. I'm sitting here talking kid picks. No, we're talking kid picks. I'm actually just quoting kid picks. You're quoting kid picks,
Starting point is 00:34:04 but in Canada, kid picks would do French. Where they go, Grette. Whoa. And you'd be like, yeah, that's right. Yeah, yeah, that is right. So at Kittlis. Grit. Grit.
Starting point is 00:34:13 So. Oh, God. Yeah. Sorry. California kid picks must have been a vibe. Oh, bang. Yeah, yeah. Kid picks.
Starting point is 00:34:23 Wow. Anyway, but that was computer school. And that's going to be computer school, yeah. I didn't do any of that. I didn't have that. I didn't have that. I didn't have that. Well, first of all, all those teachers are dead.
Starting point is 00:34:33 I thought about that the other day. And if not dead in life, dead in practice because those computers. Oh yeah. Yeah. Those computers are big pieces of cement. They're dead professionally, certainly. Yes, for sure.
Starting point is 00:34:47 Dead personally, likely. Possibly. Yeah. They spent all their little lives on computers. And now computers are in our freaking eyeball. Yeah, I have it in my eyeball. Yeah. I can't get away from them.
Starting point is 00:34:59 There's 17 computers in this room. Computer. Computer. Computer. Computer. Computer. Computer. Literally, literally, literally. We basically are all computer.
Starting point is 00:35:08 Wasn't it always Cunty when not Regis, but Meredith Fierra on Millionaire would go, computer, eliminate two of the answers when they would 50-50. Anytime Meredith Fierre would ask for the computer, I'd be like, yes, bitch. And that's a rural-culture. What number was that? 12. 12. Anytime Meredith Fierre would ask the computer.
Starting point is 00:35:30 It was, yes, bitch. No, don't. Yes, bitch. It became a lot of different things. Ideas. Yeah, and they'll figure it out. Yeah. Too many ideas.
Starting point is 00:35:39 No, no, no, we're good, we're good. There was a lot of ideas, but one strong idea was the five-star weekend. I'm so happy it got made. It was such a strong idea. Can you talk about the camaraderie on set? I'd love to. Yeah. This is so dumb.
Starting point is 00:35:51 But I actually would love to. Please. Tell us about it. And you know what has our favorite people in it? I know. Okay, should I tell you some of them? Yes. You mentioned some at the top, but I wasn't here.
Starting point is 00:36:00 Regina Hall. Cast? Wait. I just said cast, but I meant to say listeners. Cast. Cast. Cast. Listeners at home, I was here.
Starting point is 00:36:09 Yeah. That's what you don't know. When they're talking at the top, I was here the whole time. Don't ruin the spell. Well, now that they know, we have to change the whole top of the show. And now a quick break from our sponsor,

Starting point is 00:38:26 Wow. That's huge. Yeah, I think that's right. Wait. 13 going on 30, Reune. Reunion. Not to mention catch and release reune with Timothy Oleon. With Jimmy Ollivan.
Starting point is 00:38:35 And Jenny Jee. It's a catch and release reunion. I have to ask about a few of the cast members. I'm an open book, honey. I'm going to ask the same question about all of them. What was the most Jennifer Garner thing she did on set? Well, okay, the few that are coming to mind. Yes.
Starting point is 00:38:52 She was like the queen of food trucks. So she would always get, she'd get a food truck like weekly. Love that. Which just is taking care of the cast. The children. Totally. She like had Gemma and I over to her house. She would have had Regina and Chloe, but they were in New York, and just made us a chicken lunch.
Starting point is 00:39:12 Just whipped up a chicken lunch. I love it. And it was. Delish. Yes. You know what I mean? Like that type of thing. Where you, like, just, oh, let me just whip you up a chicken.
Starting point is 00:39:25 So she was providing. She's a provider. Yeah, she's a provider. Also, I mean, I could talk forever about her. Also, like, let me just think what I want to say here because she's so chicken lunch does it all. chicken lunch she's so chicken lunch yeah but it but also not sandwich lunch no chicken lunch yeah hot chicken on a plate yeah hot chicken on a plate the best vibe hands down yeah yeah yeah yeah totally chicken on a plate oh here's some pan sauce yeah yeah oh yeah yeah yeah yeah she's like um
Starting point is 00:39:53 pounded chicken panko wow fried or yeah yeah yeah yeah oh oh i said delish shoot me down no I love tolish. What's wrong with the leash? What's wrong with Tillish? What's wrong with Tillish? No. She's just... She glows.
Starting point is 00:40:10 She's... She is so busy. Yeah. Family, career, acting, beyond everything. Also, like, charities, like, traveling. She's so busy.
Starting point is 00:40:20 But reaches out... She is such a good friend. I could cry talking about her. Really? She's such a thoughtful, generous... Like, you can't believe the character. this person puts into her relationship.
Starting point is 00:40:35 She's, she is like, she's the fucking greatest. Jenny G. Do you know my story about her? Listen to tell me. I was doing the ride. Yeah. I was singing on the street. Great.
Starting point is 00:40:45 You remember because Darcy is the ride alumni. For those you don't know, it was a sideways facing bus, a tour bus 13 and a half feet tall. It wrote around. Comedians slash hosts were on the bus, narrating, and there were some people on the street performing.
Starting point is 00:40:59 And I would do both, but this day I was performing on the street in front of Carnegie Hall. I was getting ready to walk down the street, have the bus pull up and have them be like, who's this guy? Let's see if it wave to us. And then start singing my song,
Starting point is 00:41:10 which was, I know you're lying, because your lips are moving. It was? Tell me do you think I'm dumb? Sure was. Oh, yeah. Megan Traynor.
Starting point is 00:41:19 Okay, great. And as I'm singing it, the bus starts freaking out. Okay, you're like, and I'm like, oh my God, I must be slaying down to say to Megan Traynor. And the guys, there's like a saxophone playing along.
Starting point is 00:41:30 And I turn around, and the bus drives. away and they freaked out from me. I ate. And the saxophone guy goes, I was like, wow, we killed that. And he goes, yeah, no, I think they just noticed Jennifer Garner. And I was like, what? And apparently Jennifer Garner had, like, stood by me
Starting point is 00:41:45 while I sang the whole time and did a whole thing like with the bus, like, oh my God, she's a performer. And then by the time I had turned around, she was like rounding the corner and like. Totally she. And she was like a phantom. Yes, I love that. I mean, like, even that, just like she knows who she is. She's like, I'm going to talk to you best.
Starting point is 00:42:03 I'm going to walk away. I'm not going to give you too much because I got to take care of me. It was wild stuff. That is amazing. God, you're going to love her. Yeah. You know, when we meet her.
Starting point is 00:42:12 I mean, well, I have thoughts. We reached out to her to come to the culture awards. Actually, we wanted to her accept the award for best thing to say to a gay guy, which was, You Can Breathe Now, Simon. Is that, she'll do, she'll do it. We talked about it last year. We tried to make it happen.
Starting point is 00:42:28 Go through me next time. But you know what's, I'm not kidding. It'll happen. I teafully believe. Okay, too. I have always loved her. And she talked to me about the show last year. What?
Starting point is 00:42:40 She did? So she won't, I mean, it's happening. She saw you say Migenella quista? Absolutely. Migena laqueista transphobia? Does she agree? She totally agree. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:49 She says Megan, Jennifer Garner says meena-a-a-goucita, gender binary. Yeah. Wow. Well, what was the most Chloe 7-E thing that she did on set? Oh my god, so many good Chloe things.
Starting point is 00:43:01 Okay, I'm just thinking of like the very first time we met. Okay, okay. Well, okay. First, this is just cool. Yeah. I went vintage shopping. Oh, that's awesome. In Los Angeles? In Nantucket. Oh, bitch. Excuse me? Huh?com? We, um, is that what you said? That's really funny. We, um, is that a dot org.biz. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Dot biz is crazy. Take your pick. Not.gov. Dot.org. In this climate. Yeah. And, in this climate. Hey, Trump. Can you hear my, coming for you, baby. Can you hear my spine. Yeah. That feels great. Hey, hey Donald Trump.
Starting point is 00:43:38 We're coming for you, baby. Hey Donald Trump, my spine is cracking. And Mr. Trump, if you're listening. My spine is cracking. Okay, so I just remember, okay, imagine if you will. Okay, I'm taking it back. The day, okay, so I was the last of the five to get cast. Thank you. We started, I got cast, thank you.
Starting point is 00:43:58 I started, I got cast and we started filming not but days later. Five stars are weekend. Less than five days later. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So Minky Spiro, the amazing director, had this idea of bringing the five of us, five women who had never worked together before, didn't really know each other at all.
Starting point is 00:44:14 Very different women. Very different women. Very spice girls. Very spice girls. And I'm like, are we? Who is? And then we, her idea wasn't just that we were going to, like, eat lunch together,
Starting point is 00:44:25 but we were going to play Pictionary together for like 90 minutes. Or maybe it was two hours. This is Chloe's idea? No, this is Minky. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. So anyway, this is how we got to know each other. is we sat in a living room and we play it like these busy busy women that were like prepping to start shooting the show and me being like I'm here we played pictonary for like I'm I feel like saying two hours is an exaggeration but I literally think it was because we kept being like another round like really but it was so fun so fun so fun but I have this great memory of Chloe oh my god I love her so much she she she she we weren't on the same team it doesn't matter we were I was basically helping
Starting point is 00:45:05 someone else, like someone that wasn't on my team, where I was, like, giving him a little hint. And she looked at me and she was like, what the fuck? And then she was like, what the fuck? What the fuck? Wink.
Starting point is 00:45:17 And that's kind of Chloe in a nutshell, just kind of like. The ultimate it girl. Yes. So cool. Just amazing. And like, I don't know what it was about, you know, this just happens.
Starting point is 00:45:29 You, I don't know why this particular group meshed like this, but we just like got into it. really fast. It was like, it was like girl time every day, five of us, a lot of group scenes, so we're all just sitting around. There was like, no topic off limits. We just like got deep fast. I don't know why. It was just one of those. Do you tend to do that? I don't. I mean, I will, I'll go where the, the wind blows me. Yeah. But I don't like, what do you, I mean, whatever, what is that? Like, well, I guess a lot of people would call it like trauma dumping. When it's a mutual thing, it can be quite beautiful. We were sort of just like open. Yeah. It was not like,
Starting point is 00:46:03 it wasn't necessarily trauma dumping, although trauma down, whatever you got. But it was like, it was just like, it wasn't a bunch of women kind of holding it in. Yeah. Or like close to the, well, it wasn't like this. It wasn't like, yeah, exactly. It was like, and yeah, it was, it was just like, tell me about it.
Starting point is 00:46:23 And then what happened? It was, it's five, it's five of you who people have obsession over. It's, it's that I'm upset. I have obsession. over. Wait, I just thought of a Regina thing. No, that was going to be next if you could believe it. Can you just imagine this woman? She's the funniest person
Starting point is 00:46:42 alive and she has the driest sense of humor to a scary amount where you don't know if she's joking, lying telling the truth. It's like genius level dry. But she, we were talking about hold please.
Starting point is 00:47:00 Happy Gilmore coming out. Yeah. And this is just a little funny thing she said. We were talking about who's gonna see it, whatever. And she goes, because I haven't even seen Gilmore Girls season one. That's really fucking bad. Because I haven't even seen Gilmore Girls season one. Right.
Starting point is 00:47:16 And so she's like, so how am I going to see the movie? And then you're like, you're trying to like. No, she's ahead of that. And then she's also, again, off in a puff of smoke. You're kind of like trying to catch up. No, she's, I'm obsessed with how like, slippery she is. Can I do one more? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:34 Please. Oh, my God. They're just pop. into my head. So this is like kind of what this podcast is. It's like Regina Hall was good this day. Exactly. That's kind of what this podcast is. Regina Hall being good this day. I introduced her to my brother who is an editor for animation, animated movies. And I said, this is my brother Will. He works in Netflix. Beep that. Just kidding. He's an editor. And she goes, I'm an editor. And I know right away she's lying, but I keep going. And I'm an editor. And then I say he does
Starting point is 00:48:05 animation and she goes I edited Moana this is fucking legendary my brother has like a good bullshit detector I edited Moana she's so dead ass I'm an editor I'm not picturing her like major clicking through I'm like I'll go yeah yeah yeah totally she's just really funny she's really quick and really really funny well she's a legend She's a master at throwing something away because one of the best line reads in any comedy ever is, Who the fuck did that? Scary movie three? I mean, like, where does she?
Starting point is 00:48:44 No, right. She's just funny. Yeah, she just is good. She's so naturally funny. That's the thing ultimately is when it comes down to it, some people just like are good. Totally, totally. Undeniable. I know, undeniable.
Starting point is 00:48:58 I think we should give her her first Oscar. Yeah, I know. I know. We should hand it to her. I think she's gonna get one. I do too. Yeah. Also, this was fun.
Starting point is 00:49:06 When one battle came out, we were in Nantucket, so we went together. There's one movie theater in Nantucket, and it has one screen, and it was playing. Major. It was playing one battle. And so we all went with her, like, a lot of people, and it was really sweet. It was so exciting. It was so exciting. That shot of her in the mirror telling Chase, like, you have to come with me.
Starting point is 00:49:26 I'm like, chills. Chills. She's perfect. She's perfect. Restrained. Beautiful. I mean, she's perfect. She's incredible.
Starting point is 00:49:35 She has so much gravitas as an actor. Have you seen Support the Girls? No, but it's so good. I got to leave this. God, why haven't I seen this yet? I've heard it so good. It's so good. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:45 Yeah, she's amazing. She was like the manager of a Hooters. He looks out for supports the girls. She goes ahead and supports the girls. Is it also sort of like a play on bra? Literally. Yeah. Like support the girls.
Starting point is 00:49:56 They're like, they work out like a Hooters. You know. You ever think about it? Doing Hooters? Yeah, going to Hooters. I've been. Have you enjoyed the wings? I've enjoyed the wings.
Starting point is 00:50:06 Huh? Now, I, that, excuse me. That just, you know, it's a double entendre. It really is. Oh, thank you. Yeah. Oh, my God. Is that a fun name for a girl, entendre?
Starting point is 00:50:20 Entangra. It was a gorgeous, actually twins. Double entendre. Double entendre. I have two daughters name, Antondra. I call them double entendre. Entondra. Entondras.
Starting point is 00:50:31 Entondras. Entadres. Dinner time. Make it. Your mashed potatoes only are ready. Make the dinner, honey. Aunt Jen Garner made chicken lunch. And Jen Garner is here.
Starting point is 00:50:43 Entadras! Entondres! She pounded the chicken. Aunt Jen Garner is crazy. Why did I say that? Aunt Jen Garner. Aunt Jen Garner is here. Aunt Jen Garner is here.
Starting point is 00:50:54 She pounded her chicken all night to be here with you guys. She made you chicken lunch. What is chicken lunch? Is that from something that's really funny. Entangor, get your finger out of on. 10.30 p.m. That's entendrous chicken from antsy Jen Garner. From aunt, no, from aunt Jen Garner.
Starting point is 00:51:09 Aunt Jen Garner. Is it aunt or aunt? Well, depends on what you're saying. Because this is the definitive answer. It'll be this from now. He is actually aunt. Oh, my God. Is that wrong? I agree. It's just another check in the column for we say things wrong from Long Island. Of course it's not. But I would be so, I'm so surprised you guys say aunt. I always think East Coast is on. So everything on Long Island that can sound worse does. Okay.
Starting point is 00:51:33 So basically if it's like the word is like, Aunt. Yeah, you're going to say aunt. Ant. Right, right, right. Can you explain Mario? Because it's not Italian. I don't say Mario.
Starting point is 00:51:44 I say Mario. Well, it's pretty fucking close to me. We call that penis weiner in my family. Can I tell you guys about penis weiner? Huh? Huh? Huh? Huh?
Starting point is 00:51:51 In my family, meaning in mine and Jason's home, if something is this or that, same, same, we call it penis weir. Penis wener. P penis wiener. It's half a dozen, which I hate to do this guys, but we talked about this last time I was on. I know. Six of one and a half a dozen. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:07 So the new version is penis weiner. Yeah, you can say penis weiner. And it really, we're, we're, imagine this, if you will. We're renovating our house, okay? So we're working with adults, like contractors and architects and stuff. You use penis. The amount of times we say penis weiner to a grown adult man who's like, would you want this or that? We're like, yeah, penis wiener.
Starting point is 00:52:25 And they know it now. Yeah, they get it. Yeah. It communicates a lot. It does. And feel free to take that. Listeners, feel free to take that. I mean, penis wiener. I mean. It's penis wiener. It's penis wiener. So you were talking Mario. Sorry, I'm hopped up now.
Starting point is 00:52:39 I do. I do know it's Mario. And also, have you noticed? Have you noticed I've been saying Mario more? You know he's been, it's very my fair lady. He's like correcting his speech. Well, depending on what? Depending on where you're from, you sometimes have to do that. For example, sorry to utter his name again. But Jason grew up in Virginia where they say, what do you call the little waxy colored thing that you draw with. Crayon.
Starting point is 00:53:02 Crayon. Crayon. No, I'm sorry, Jason. Crown? So he's fixed it. Mr. Cardin. That's wrong. That's just wrong.
Starting point is 00:53:11 Crown is what goes on the head of a queen. For sure. But some of your listeners right now are thinking, you, I guess that needs me. If I said murder was wrong, some of them are probably like, oops. Right, and what is it? Murder? Well, murder.
Starting point is 00:53:25 No, no, the act of murder. Sometimes they can hear things and if they're not happy with it, it's okay because they're wrong. okay because they're wrong. And I love the listeners. I love the readers, the Katie's, the publicist, the finalist, and even the Kyle's. A lot of you are wrong out there about what you're doing and something you're thinking right now. And the way that you've behaved today and probably all week is wrong. And that's one minute. And you can feel bad. And you know how long it took me to say that to myself? Guess what? It's okay if people feel bad. Oh, huge. I have a game. Okay. This is the penis wiener game. Okay. I'm going to name two things. One of them has to be penis
Starting point is 00:53:57 and one of them has to be a good. I love it. Coke and Pepsi. Which one's penis? Which one's weener? Coke is penis. Pepsi's weir. Ding, ding, ding.
Starting point is 00:54:06 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. Jessica Simpson and Ashley Simpson, which one is penis and which one is wiener? Jessica's Coke. Jessica's penis. It's Coke. Jessica's Coke.
Starting point is 00:54:17 Jessica's Coke. Ashley's Weener. Jessica's Coke, Ashley's Pills. Ashley's pills? Well, because he's talking like Coke. Oh, I see. I was like a massive. Ashley Simpson's stand.
Starting point is 00:54:28 Were you? Massive. Is this Ashley? Anna Monday. Cool. Yeah. Cool. And I know that song
Starting point is 00:54:37 became what it became and had a, like it's been overshadowed by the moment. But I think it's a great song. I wrote an essay defending her in high school. Yeah. Defending her post-S-N-O?
Starting point is 00:54:48 Yeah. Wow. For AP comp. Yeah, absolutely. Like a persuasive essay about why Ashley Simpson should be forgiven. That was your thesis. Okay.
Starting point is 00:54:56 I really would like to read it again. I know. I know. I would like to read it again now to see how much faggotry is on display. Yeah. Word by word. Read it on the pool. I really should find it.
Starting point is 00:55:07 I don't know if it exists anymore, but I hope it does. Read it on the pool. Read it on the pool. Read it on the pool. Read it on the pool. I think Darcy walking into the first episode she recorded with this was a major moment in history. I remember every moment. I remember every moment.
Starting point is 00:55:22 Don't remember what I did yesterday. Yesterday. This afternoon. That was back in. 2000 what? 17? 17, I bet. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:31 It was... Whoa and a half. After you did, I don't think so many live in LA. Okay, not to correct you, but first was show. Yes, it was. It was. And you were like, y'all packed back to the guild. No, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:55:42 Pod was the first. I think, Pod was the first. Oh, sure. Okay, in my memory, it's so funny because I'm like, I remember everything, but now I'm like, okay, I think it was an apartment type of, okay. It was. Type of studio. Yes, it was.
Starting point is 00:55:55 And then I did the show, live show. Yes. And then I did like a downtown L.A. office. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. There was a lot of, we have lived many different lives on this podcast. And then it's soon to be another one because.
Starting point is 00:56:11 Announce it. Can we reveal? We're going to be getting a new set that Bowen Yang is designing. Oh. Oh my God, this is so exciting. This is not a big deal. Now I feel the pressure. Feel the pressure.
Starting point is 00:56:22 That's fine. Feel the pressure. You know what creates pressure? Diamond. Oh, yes. If you think about it, you know, creates pressure. Don't correct him. Don't correct him. Do you know what creates pressure?
Starting point is 00:56:32 Diamonds. And actually, in a way, it's true. It's actually a little culture number three. You know what creates pressure? Diamonds. But also, you can make that make sense. And I've already done it. Well, and the process of making a diamond, you do create pressure. Okay, say it again. Like, we, everyone's focused on the diamonds. No, what about the pressure that was just there? How about time together instead of gifts like diamonds? How about simply time together? I love time together. I'm Cynthia Lois.
Starting point is 00:57:00 And I'm Josie Dye. And we're done pretending we have it all figured out. Each week we laugh, cry, and talk our way through life's messiest moments. The things you think about but would never say out loud. The questions you are always too shy to ask. Relationships, regrets, awkward moments, and the stuff no one warns you about. It's honest, it's funny, and sometimes it gets a little uncomfortable. But that's kind of the point.
Starting point is 00:57:21 This is Cynthia and Josie's Unmentionables. Listen on the free IHeart Radio app or wherever you get your podcasts. You heard it. Now see it. Las Culturistas is now available with video episodes for free on the IHeart app. Watch full episodes from start to finish all on the free IHeart app. Hear the voices you know. Starting point is 00:57:51 And when I ask this question, know that I want to know what your love language expression is not what you like to receive. Because apparently that's a controversial thing. You can answer both ways. Well, of course can. So how do I like to give it? Yeah. Yeah, what's your love language? God, wait, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:58:07 What love language do you speak? There's words of affirmation, physical touch. Okay. There is gifts, quality time. Fuck. And you said words of affirmation. Encouraging word. Okay, and this is how I show love.
Starting point is 00:58:21 What's that? This is how I show love. Yes, yes, how you show love. I think words of affirmation. Yes, you are, words of affirmation. You're so good. Aw. It's my love language.
Starting point is 00:58:31 What can I say? I think it's definitely mine too. Yeah, you think so? But I also do, with lovers, physical touch is part of it for me. Definitely for sure. I mean, but also, it's not just like I need physical touch. It's like that's a way of showing love or receiving. Yes.
Starting point is 00:58:44 Well, you talked about your husband's barrel chest earlier. Yeah. About how you love to get tactile with them. I love getting. You ever punch his chest? Yes, totally. I think I did yesterday. That's fun.
Starting point is 00:58:55 Hell yeah. With the brass ring. Yeah. What was this? Just kind of like warming up for a punch. As a yiata. Yeah, a little bit of a yada. I want to do a yiata so bad.
Starting point is 00:59:08 Oh my God, you should do a yada. Can you believe we got karate shot by Miss Piggy? What a moment from God above. He took one right in the kidney. I mean, what a moment. Yeah, that was amazing. That is, I mean, there's too many things to say, like, if you could tell Little Matt and Bowen, but that one is actually like go back even further.
Starting point is 00:59:25 That's actually like life doesn't make sense. That's like seven years. It's too crazy. It's crazy. And every single time we were watching it in the edit, I go, she's the most beautiful woman. She's the most beautiful in the world. She's really graceful.
Starting point is 00:59:37 And in person, she's a lot more soft-spoken than you think. Very soft-related. Very shy. Oh, my God. Yeah, she has a grace about her in elegance. She's actually never really raising her voice. No, she's, I mean, that's not. That's not, that's just the pitch.
Starting point is 00:59:51 That's just, it's really more like me. Exactly. Yeah. It's really good. Well, you have to know, so we were in the writers room, like, like, all writing the Miss Piggy copy, writing the Miss Piggy bit. There was so much anxiety passed around about, like, who was going to do it. Like, because it's like daunting. Oh, totally.
Starting point is 01:00:11 You can't just say the word. No one ended up taking the first pass on the copy. And then when we were reading it, it was another level of anxiety about who was going to perform as Miss Piggy. And we all did like take turns because you kind of have to do it as her to make sure it's working. Yes. Yeah. So much about it. It was a fun opportunity, but I think one of the most vulnerable.
Starting point is 01:00:31 I bet. Because you want to commit to it. If you like, if you like fuck around with it, it's not, it's not doing what you're setting out to do. Yes. Yes. Probably when you're rehearsing your songs, you're like, I don't want to just like pretend to sing it. We got to sing it. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:00:45 Yeah. It's like, it's like if you were reading for like Julie Andrews or something, you know what I mean? It's like, oh, this is the queen. We'll have her on. Okay. But she, God, Miss speaking. I feel like I was relinquishing my. my Miss Piggy impression.
Starting point is 01:00:58 Yeah, who was like, I'm... Who, like, nailed it? Matt, for sure. I was pretty good at it. But I, I... Kermie? Oh, Kermie. Wow.
Starting point is 01:01:09 Really good. But I did this when Amy Polo was here, but I, my favorite Miss Piggy's sort of soundbite Stim is from Muppet Christmas Carol. Okay. When she is the only person in the whole fucking movie to yell, to scream at Scrooge. Yeah. And when Scrooge is coming, you know, over to, to Cratchets to apologize.
Starting point is 01:01:30 Yeah. She freaks out, rightfully. She goes, Oh my God, that's so, like, in my soul. Hearing that, I'm like, And you'll be living here at once. Oh, that's so good. At once is so scunty.
Starting point is 01:01:47 Piggy, piggy. Piggy. At once. At once. She's so in charge. She is. I want to do an out. I want to tell someone at once.
Starting point is 01:01:57 Yes, totally. And I want to tell someone why I ought to. Oh my god, I've never told anybody at once and I want to. I've never used it. I need this done at once. Oh my god, we should all kind of commit to doing that at least once in the next month. I want to let me just test this out. Okay, yeah, test that out.
Starting point is 01:02:15 Shut the fuck up at once. Okay, weird, but I like it. Yeah, it's because at once you want at once to hit hard and once you said shut the fuck up, all I'm thinking about is the cuss word. I wonder if it's like, like, um, God, how, how? And I'm Becca. What are you doing at once? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Why are you typing?
Starting point is 01:02:35 What are you typing? What are you typing? What are you typing? What are you typing at once? At once. What is going on? It is so, like, how would you use it? What is going on at once?
Starting point is 01:02:45 It has to be. It was a real question as well. I want to know what you guys are doing. Clack, clack, clack. You're working? Interesting. We're working. I think it works.
Starting point is 01:02:54 We're always working. We're always working. Oh, now I feel bad. No, I feel like, we're trying to take. one single moment off and then you get on my elks so now I'm working horse shit amongst the straw and
Starting point is 01:03:05 whatever they're doing hay and all that shit eat some hay at once love that really hey want to go kick rocks at once oh I love kick rocks I love kick rocks so it has to be like let's have sex at once
Starting point is 01:03:17 if you consent at once a clock if it's okay with you I would like to have sex at once it has to be like I mean nothing beats get out of here at once Get out of here at once. And you will be leaving at once?
Starting point is 01:03:32 Yeah, yeah, yeah. You'll be leaving at once. And you will be leaving at once. Get out of here at once. Do this at once. It's like, get out of here at once. At once. Yes, yes.
Starting point is 01:03:42 Go get me that answer at once. Yes. Yeah. Did Miranda Priestley ever say at once? She doesn't need to. She just says, that's all. No, the most aggressive, from the first movie at least, because I feel it's more in me.
Starting point is 01:03:54 Sure. She goes, the iconic line of just, And if you don't have that Harry Potter book, don't even bother coming back. Is there a way we could put At On Ones in there? If you don't have that Harry Potter book at once. Don't even have that. Wait, who was it? What's her name? Anne Hathaway.
Starting point is 01:04:13 No, but what's her name? Andrea? Andy, Andy, yeah. Then Miranda calls her Andrea. She goes, Andrea. She'd be like, At once? She'd lead kind of muttering like, what did she say at once? What?
Starting point is 01:04:25 Yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah. Okay, she'd be like, oh, shit, she said at once. She'd be like, Anne Hathaway was so good at the subtle exasperation. Yes. That a romance, comedy heroine has to carry through.
Starting point is 01:04:40 Yeah, totally. Settle exasperation. Totally, which is important. It's very this vibe. Yeah, yeah, totally. Well, I get, ah. Don't do that. Did you see Devil Wars Prada to?
Starting point is 01:04:55 You loved it. You loved it. You did. You did. We did. We did. So, yeah. Should we do Meisner for a second?
Starting point is 01:05:03 Yeah, okay, okay. Can we do a three-person, Misenor? Yeah. One, two, three. Can someone, anyone at all say a three-word phrase? Yeah. Go ahead. Do it at once.
Starting point is 01:05:19 At once. Do it at once. Do it at once. That's fine. That's okay. Let's get this red. Okay, let's get this red. Okay.
Starting point is 01:05:28 Let's get this red. Let's get this red. Let's get this bread. Let's get this bread. Let's get this bread. Let's get this bread. Let's get this bread. Let's get this bread.
Starting point is 01:05:59 Let's get this bread. Let's get this bread. Let's get this bread. Let's get this bread. Let's get this bread. And My Meizner. Whoa. I felt like I broke the spell a little bit.
Starting point is 01:06:30 No, never. But you really went there. Yeah. I love acting. I know. I love it. With my friend with anybody. I don't want to do this.
Starting point is 01:06:39 I don't want to act. I love when I get to do that in here. You know what I mean? With that, with that, with this. The pot is just, you know, it's like you set it up for years to be able to do that. Yes. Oh my God, you're so right. Yes.
Starting point is 01:06:54 On pod. On pod. It's on pod. And that's on pod. Yeah. You ever notice Aidy Bryant does this with her hands? Yes. She points with all five fingers.
Starting point is 01:07:04 Totally. She does this. Totally. We're watching the cut and she's just like, any of you. Yes. It's so good. Pointing is, she's a pointer. But she points with all five fingers open and a hand like that.
Starting point is 01:07:19 She's like. What's your pointing technique? What's your pointing style? You, you wiggle. I'm so like, I don't know how crazy my hands. are. I think I'm, I mean, now I'm aware, but I think I don't realize how much I'm talking with my hands, but that's not pointing. No, no, no, no, no. I think generally just gesticulating however you wildly. I'm this culture. Yes, you are. I am, I am point. It's a, you know, a straight line,
Starting point is 01:07:42 but bent at the wrist. Do you remember that kind of thing in theater school when you would sort of like do this and the director would be like, do that? You know what you mean? Okay, so like you would we didn't go to theater school. We didn't go to theater school. Yeah. Meisner, though. No, well, I didn't say we shouldn't have been in it. I said we weren't. Let's go back to theater school. Theater universities. Do you think Yale School of Drama would take me in Bo now?
Starting point is 01:08:11 I do. I do. They should be so lucky. What would be your guys as monologues to audition for the Yale School of Drama today? I would do the 10 things I hate about your monologues by Julia Stiles. So good. I would do. They'd be like, okay.
Starting point is 01:08:27 No, you'd kill it. I would do like just, okay, a two-person scene, but take out all of the other lines, okay? I would do just Ross's line in the like breakup scene with him and Jennifer Aniston. Wow. That's great. And I would have to make it work because all of her lines would be gone.
Starting point is 01:08:48 Uh-huh. So I'd be giving them something they'd never seen before. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I would do Aaron Brockovich in the beginning. when she's trying, when she's going through her resume. God damn. It's really good. I'd love to see that. She has no medical experience, but I did
Starting point is 01:09:08 but what is she? She was like, but I did work in like a dentist's office in Irvine or something. Like she has a great monologue where she's trying to like apply for this. No, no, no. You came up something better. Also from Erin Brockovich. Okay. Uh-huh. When she's in the courtroom. When she's in the courtroom and then like the lawyers like grilling her and then it ends with her.
Starting point is 01:09:30 Just, it's such a strong. That asshole smashed in my fucking neck. Good job. You guys are so good at that thing you just did. Well, he came around the corner like a bad out of hell. Wow. When was the last time you saw that movie? Not soon enough. Not soon enough.
Starting point is 01:09:45 Why? Not soon enough. Not recently enough. But it wasn't that long. We did watch it recently. I would watch it tonight. Oh, that's actually a really good idea. Just the fact that you guys have the, your brains are so good.
Starting point is 01:09:56 No. Yes. Because you have that air. Brockovich monologue you both do and you have countless other fucking monologues in your head at all times. This was the monologue that sealed the deal for me and Matt in the year, I would say 2013. Okay. Excuse me. I cut his elvade wire. I said it I didn't know what help. I cut his Elvad wire. I actually didn't know what help meant. And now I thought I was a surgeon but I can't. I thought I was a surgeon, but I'm not. So I quit.
Starting point is 01:10:27 Is he? I knew it. I knew it was Grace. Grace has so much good stuff in there too. Those first few CZs. And I'm sure it just gets better and better. You know, you stop when you stop. You know, you stop when you stop.
Starting point is 01:10:42 You're sure, Grizzanami gets better and better. I'm sure gets better and better every day. That's actually a little culture number 40. I'm sure Grace Anatomy gets better and better. But you stop when you stop. And when I stop, I really, what? Your turn. Sorry, go.
Starting point is 01:10:55 Of what? Monologue. Yeah, but. But I don't know. I mean, I like, I, well, the time is now. This is the Yale School of Drama Audition, honey. Okay. Can be one of your own?
Starting point is 01:11:04 And we're two very severe gay men who are not going to make this easy. What would, like, monologue, monologue? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I know. I never really had a monologue. The top teen monologues.
Starting point is 01:11:17 Yeah. It was like teen monolog books. And they were also, like, again, not to theater school you, but they would always be like, don't look in those books. Yeah. They'd be like, those are overdone. I remember the first monologue I did in high school. school, I had just read a book, this is kind of timely, I had just read the book,
Starting point is 01:11:31 Girl Interrupted, which is now going to Broadway or on Broadway. Oh, wow. It was just a, it was just a book. This is a book before the movie. It was just a book about a girl that went to a goddamn place where they make you feel better. They interrupted her. Yeah, they interrupted her. She was like, get out of here once.
Starting point is 01:11:45 Yeah. But they, you know, because they kept interrupting her. Right. They said, get out of here. They said get out of here once. Yeah. Yeah. But she was mid-sentence.
Starting point is 01:11:54 The first monologue. The first page, I want to say, is what I did. That's amazing. Yeah, the first, yeah, like I took it straight out of the book. That's cool. I just remember being like, no one's ever done this before. And then they made it into it. It felt so like, you know, I felt really like no one will ever know anything about it.
Starting point is 01:12:17 I am so unique and then it was made into a movie and then it was made into a play. And it clearly had a path. I'm getting Allison Williams Cool Girl Award. vibes from you. I'm not. Don't make any promises. Yeah, I'm not. I'm not promising anything.
Starting point is 01:12:32 We haven't even seen what happens on Bravo next year. Yeah. Yeah, but. Can you become a Bravo It Girl by next year? Yes. If anyone I know can become a Bravo, it girl, it's Darcy Cardin. How would you, how would you...
Starting point is 01:12:45 Sweating. Okay, so, are you sweating? Because it's like, you know it's a lot of pressure. It's a lot of pressure. It's like two diamonds. It's like one diamond. It's like what creates pressure is diamonds. It's like, pushing two diamonds together. So much pressure.
Starting point is 01:12:56 It's like... Ouch. How am I supposed to become a diamond like this? Honey, there must be another way. That's my impression of a diamond. Something becoming a diamond. I'd be like, oh my God. This is so hard.
Starting point is 01:13:15 I have to do this? This is almost as hard as me when this process is complete. You know I'm the hardest substance. Yes, yes, yes. Because right now I'm just, what, Cole? Oh, honey. Or whatever? Any coal is a goal.
Starting point is 01:13:28 Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Wait, by the way, is that factual? Does coal become diamonds? Can you guys look that up at once? Just carbon. Anything with carbon. Okay, so maybe like a soda?
Starting point is 01:13:40 Yeah. A carbon-aided soda. Honey. What's the best soda? What are they made of coal? Fucking shit, bitch. What the hell? Carbon. Carbon.
Starting point is 01:13:48 Carbon. Carbon. Carbon. Carbon. Oh, interesting. So this is a wives tale. An old. Sedimentary, yeah.
Starting point is 01:13:56 Sedimentary, yeah. Said you. Who's too we can trust you, Becca? Okay, sedimentary, said mentory. Said mentory. Said mentory. I want a young wife's tale for fucking months. Oh my God, for once.
Starting point is 01:14:05 You were just going to say, I want a young wife. I want a young wife too. Yeah. I want a young, okay, I don't mind being warm right now, but do I look like I'm sweating? You look stunning. It's so hot in here. No, no, it's so fun. It's so fun.
Starting point is 01:14:17 And fine, and I want to be here forever, but as long as it's not sweat and jumping down. No, girl. And if it is viewers at home, enjoy it. Wait. Oh my God, it works to sweat because it's July 8th. It is July 9th. It's July 8th today. Today is July 8th the day before the show starts.
Starting point is 01:14:33 Unless you're listening on July 9th, in which case it's July 9th. But this is coming out on July 8th a really hot time. It's such a hot time. It's one of the hottest times in, well, not the world. Have you ever been to Australia? July 8th is the cold. It's rough. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:14:47 It's not so bad. It's not so bad. Because they flip it, they flipy floppy. But they do flippy floppy. Yeah, yeah. Where will you be on July 8th when this comes out and July 9th when the show comes out. Do you know what your schedule is? Yes, I do. What is it? On July 8th, we have, last night, we had, no, no, tonight I have the premiere. Yes. Love that. Tonight I have the premiere.
Starting point is 01:15:03 In New York City? Right in Los Angeles. Right in Los Angeles. Right in Los Angeles. Right in the tarpits. In the tar. In the tar. We come out of the tar, the five of us. That would be a gag. Well, we'll be. We're going to be on a platform under the tar. And then when it's time for us to enter there, the platform is going to go and the tar is. You rise out of the tar. That's amazing. It's amazing. Like Lydia Tars? Like five Lydia Tars. And then what are you doing the next day? Five little Lydia Tars.
Starting point is 01:15:30 Five little Lydia Tars. Okay. And then on the day that it comes out tomorrow. Yeah. I think I have pressed tomorrow, but God. Who are you excited to see? Oh, you know. The usual.
Starting point is 01:15:40 The Mark Malkins. The Malkins. Yeah, he'll be there. The Cameron. He's growing his hair out. I noticed. Yeah. All the guys are growing their hair out.
Starting point is 01:15:50 Yeah. Actually, Jared's growing his hair out. Mm-hmm. I want to say. Jared who? Entertainment Weekly, Jared. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. He's growing his hair out.
Starting point is 01:16:01 It's growing his hair out. I want to grow my hair out. Do you? Yeah, I do, actually. I mean, that would be cute. I mean, you can pull it all off. Well, thanks. You can pull off.
Starting point is 01:16:09 Don't pull out the hair. Don't pull out the hair. Pull it off. Pull it off. You can pull off the buzz cut. I think I'm going to do it. I'm going to grow out my hair. I have to shoot something this month.
Starting point is 01:16:19 And then after that, I'm going, I'm going like. You can say. Yeah, yeah, it's out. Unless it's something else. I'm a mistress. It's so exciting. The newest tracks. Let's go.

Yeah, we got to do it. I think you're sporty. It's all been leading up to this. gonna say you're sporty too okay okay okay okay hold on and you're good with that yeah I'm good
Starting point is 01:17:30 I'm gonna say all love I think cool you want to say Chloe's posh but I think Chloe's scary and I think Gemma is posh Gemma is yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah might be Regina is baby ginger baby no Jay Garner I think I think I think Jennifer Garner feels like ginger to me and is Jennifer Garner somehow baby Jennifer Garner somehow baby I mean then again if if if Jennifer Garner is the lead. I know. Then who is... Does that make her ginger?
Starting point is 01:17:59 I don't... But I think that... But the... I don't want to... I don't want to... It's not call sheet numbers or anything. It's not call sheet numbers. It's vibes.
Starting point is 01:18:07 It's... Okay. So then I'm like, is she... Because Jennifer Garner's vibe is kind of sporty. I know. I actually think she might be... Your baby. Your baby.
Starting point is 01:18:14 But I don't know. I mean, I'm also like, am I scary? No. No, I'm baby. I think your baby. Yeah. And I think Regina Ginger and I think Jen sporty.
Starting point is 01:18:24 You think... Jen is sporty as hell. She could do. Jump up on that table right now. Slay your ass. No, she's... I've seen chicken money. I've seen ALEAS.
Starting point is 01:18:31 She can still do that right this second. You think so? She rides her bike around the god. She doesn't take the... You know, she still? Oh, yeah. Electra? Really?
Starting point is 01:18:39 You know how you get in the van to go to set? Yeah. She's like, I'll meet you there. I'm going to bike there. She's sporty. Damn. Hair makeup probably just presents that. They love her.
Starting point is 01:18:49 Oh, okay. There you go. They say, you know, with Jen, she's going to bike to set. So her touchups take a little bit longer, but we love her. Somehow she gets there and looks even better. Yeah. That's what they know. She got us, she got us a Bon Me truck today.
Starting point is 01:19:01 Yeah, she got us a Bon Me truck today. Was there ever a Bon Me truck? I'm sure there was. I love Bon Me. We got a lot. I love Vietnamese chicken. So do I. Yes.
Starting point is 01:19:10 I really do. I do as well. That's why I said it. And that's also why I said it. At once. You notice I said it at once? I love Bon Me at once. I want to bond me at once.
Starting point is 01:19:19 I want to bond me at once. Should we do a Bonme episode of the podcast? And what does that movie? What would that be? Podcast Bonme? That might be title of F. Wait. Podcasts upon me.
Starting point is 01:19:28 Bowens going, you don't like that? What could that mean, I wonder. He's just sort of sitting here wondering, I don't understand. Podcasts on me. I don't know if it's title of it, but you might change the goddamn podcast name to podcast on me. What do you think of us changing our podcast name to just lost culture?
Starting point is 01:19:47 Ooh, no. Do you want to? I don't know. Why? We're discussing it. I just think it's kind of fierce. I mean, do it then. If there's like...
Starting point is 01:19:56 This is the thing about Las Colteristas. And no fucking television show on this earth knows how to pronounce it. Oh, funny. He says Las Costa Rica. Los Costa Rica. That is so funny. I had a nice moment with your dad at that show. He told me, he goes...
Starting point is 01:20:09 He comes over to me and he goes, I love Darcy. You know, she said, you guys have known each other for 10 years. And I was like, oh my God, I guess that's true. And then he goes, nice to meet you. And I go, we've met before. And he goes, what? And I was like, we had a phone call. And he finished the sentence.
Starting point is 01:20:23 He was like, the phone call. Yes, yes, yes, yes. Richard's such a hit with everybody. Did you see his chain? Of course I did, but also, I don't think it, I'm sure it didn't make the cut. I mean, we all watched it, did it make the cut? I don't think it made the cut. Because it wasn't even on.
Starting point is 01:20:36 My dad was wearing an iconic chain with his initials on it. But at one point in this sort of like intermission, like commercial break. Yeah, we shouted it out. Matt said, give it up for my dad's chain. Give it up for my dad's necklace. Yeah, my dad's necklace. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He actually looked like fashion on 10.
Starting point is 01:20:52 Love. Like blazer over a t-shirt with the chain, gold chain. In fact, I loved it so much that you said that, that I was like, I wonder if it would work if when you come out, when me, Darby comes out. I call myself Darby. When I come out to the microphone, should I say like, and everybody give it up for Matt's dad's necklace? But will that totally ruin the bit?
Starting point is 01:21:11 It would have worked in the room. It would have been cut in the ass. It would have been cut ass. But you would have given it clean. You would have given us a clean line. Totally. It would have been for you guys. This is, I'm saying we do it live one year maybe.
Starting point is 01:21:26 He really wants to do it live. Oh, live. I'm like, you have. I see what you're saying. Yeah, because this is what the- It sounds hard to me. It sounds like a fucking nightmare. No, actually, well, this is the thing.
Starting point is 01:21:37 I don't know about that. What are you? What, you didn't have to do anything. You didn't have, like. It's practically the same thing. It's practically perfect in every way, Mary Poppin style. Yes, and I just, I just want people to like, kind of like, we should all just experience it together.
Starting point is 01:21:52 Totally. I think it could be live and I think you guys would thrive. Scary vibes. Yeah, also scary. It's like if you don't have to, you don't have, if you don't, if you don't, I mean. I think we have a couple more years of doing it to tape. And I think the next move for the show, fingers crossed, knock wood, is to do it in the NYC. Okay, yeah, I think so too.
Starting point is 01:22:08 I think that that would be. You have live up the butt because of. Yeah, he's got live up the butt. Yeah, you got live up the butt. And I'm telling you, it is such a fun. Oh, interesting. It's the scariest fucking thing. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:22:19 But it's so fun. Do you think if I've ever done anything live? I've done like, well, I guess the SNL carpet was live. I've done my life. Oh, I've done the, I've done Jenna. That's live. That's live, exactly. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:22:33 You've got this. I like this. It's not that I don't like want and I'm excited by live. It's just that I know the show is so involved. I would hate to lose opportunities to do things because it was live. Because it was live. I've been sitting here for five hours with my legs crossed like a little child. Are they dead?
Starting point is 01:22:50 They're alive. But just like like crisscross applesauce. Yeah, I mean. Woo. Okay. Kindergarner. Kindergarner. Kindergarner.
Starting point is 01:23:01 Hey, get out of kindergarten at once. You know what's crazy? Jennifer Gardner. You know what's a crazy word that is German? Yeah. Warm. Huh? The word warm is German.
Starting point is 01:23:13 It's like, oh, well, yeah, sure. That word is, you know, romance language. That word is, you know, this. Warm is just German, y'all. And what is it? it mean? Warren. Okay, cool.
Starting point is 01:23:26 I'm just learning German. I do a lingo. I just wanted to share. Becca, who's that? Ariana Grande. Aren't you an arunator? This is on the permanent record. Learn at once.
Starting point is 01:23:42 Learn at once. Learn at once. Yeah. Snap shot of a stuff. Like, you guys, girl, I didn't get one of them. Girl is hard. It's hard.
Starting point is 01:23:49 Because I think I am to agree with Bell. And then it's a lot. an impossible game. It's an impossible task. We'll develop it. And it's time to do I don't think so honey if you can even believe. Okay. Which you probably can at home because this is about that time. Yeah. And what I don't think so honey is for
Starting point is 01:24:03 the uninformed is a 60 second absolute pop-off to something. No, to something. On some topic. It's really a thesis statement that gets followed up on. Brutely. Brutalist. It's a brutalist segment. I do have something.
Starting point is 01:24:21 used to say 60 seconds to rant on. I try to make it different every time. I know, I know. You know, it's funny. I was thinking back so long ago. There was like at least an episode where we, where we, where you didn't do, I don't think so, honey. And you tried something else.
Starting point is 01:24:38 Yeah. Yes. Yeah. Was it like year two or something? Yes. We're like, we're going to try this one this time along the line. We did a positive day with Mike Kelton and we did, I think so honey. Oh, funny, funny, funny, funny.
Starting point is 01:24:49 That's funny. That's so cute. And he did. want to know what that was. Actually, that was a very fortuitous day. Because he said, I think so, Honey Maggie Rogers. Wow. And we're like, who's that? He was like, she is an unbelievable singer. You have to check her out. And he was right. Let's just say we checked her out. And let's just say the world checked her out. Oh, yeah. And she's going to come on the pod this year at some point. And she should. And I would love, I would love her to take out an acoustic guitar and
Starting point is 01:25:11 strum a strum a strum song. Did you, were you ever listening to Las Coach when we used to do the musical episodes? God, like a, wait, like a long time ago. We would have like a musical improv. artists, no artists come and like sing songs. Henry would play. I don't think I ever heard. It's quite nice. But also maybe I did. But I feel like I'd remember that.
Starting point is 01:25:28 We did that several times. We did. Where you would have an art. If the person was a singer, you'd have them sing. Like Kat Cohen did it once. Our friend Amanda Shuckman did it once. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like people, Larry Owens did it.
Starting point is 01:25:40 And would you want to do this again? Maybe. I know who would be fun to do it with, actually? Because I want them to come on at some point and we already have to like change the setup because there's three of them is high. Yeah, that'd be fun. I bet they would love that. God, I can't believe they've never been on.
Starting point is 01:25:55 I know. Well, because they're sort of a three. They're sort of a trio. They got it. People harder to nail down than one. We're sort of a duo. That's a five-o. That's a Cinco, baby.
Starting point is 01:26:03 We call that a Cinco. All right, everybody, here we go. Okay. This is Matt Rogers. I don't think so, honey, it's time starts now. I don't think so, honey, just based on the Rotten Tomato's score, deciding we're not seeing that anymore, especially when we have plans to see the film.
Starting point is 01:26:17 We have plans. You're calling you. No, I'm just say, because actually, what happened was we were excited to see scary movie six and then it had a 28% on rotten tomatoes and it caused a lot of discord amongst people that were attending the film and I thought okay well we can't just base it on the rotten tomato score because how many times do we love a movie that has a very low rotten tomato score many you know what I'm saying like probably a lot of comedies too which are looked at as disposable I'm actually really interested it hasn't come out yet
Starting point is 01:26:44 but I really hope that stop that train gets amazing reviews because it is so good but sometimes comedies just get the shorter under the stick and And I don't think so, honey, that that is cool. And I certainly don't want to be a part of an audience that is bailing on these comedies, knowing that that is true. Mind you, I did hear some things about the movie that make me less inclined to see it. But the thing is, like, I don't know. I do think so, honey, until y'all are like, I don't think so honey.
Starting point is 01:27:10 And then it makes me feel like a little bit sad just based on Rotten Tomatoes. And that's one minute, totally. I did just hear it wasn't that funny. Okay. Well, we'll be the judge of that. We'll be the judge of that. And as long as you're letting Regina Hall be dry. Truly.
Starting point is 01:27:23 Well, that's my thing is it's like ultimately, that's why I don't always trust a rotten tomato score. Because if Regina Hall is in something for me, you add 50 points to any rotten tomato score. I realized I haven't seen any of the movies that they're going to be satirizing this time. Whereas back in the day, I was still watching a lot of the movies that they were satirizing.
Starting point is 01:27:44 So much of it is like recognizing the thing. Exactly. The thing. And so then I realized like, That might be a reason. Once I realized, because I did read a couple reviews, like, oh, these are the movies that are the riffs. Yeah. Maybe that's a reason why.
Starting point is 01:27:58 Do you? Are you a scary movie boy? No. No. Deeply no. Deeply no. Deeply no. I am always curious about them.
Starting point is 01:28:04 I'm begging on my hands and knees that we go see backrooms or obsession. But it's a lot. Jason's, well, whatever. See him. What Jason say is. I was about rotten tomatoes you right now. I make him see movies and, yeah, the scary movies. Like kind of detail for.
Starting point is 01:28:18 detail. I can't with explicit violence and especially when it doesn't make any, when it doesn't need to happen. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I guess like, it just, it just like upsets me and bumps me out. And when it comes out of nowhere, too, it just feels like careless to me and cheap. Totally. And an assault. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But smart horror, I actually really enjoy. Same. I always see Jordan Peel's movies. Yeah. I saw weapons, but I got like a minute by minute play back. Sure, sure. Play by play. And it was just one moment in weapons that I think he would hate. And that's it. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:28:49 And you'd have to leave. And you'd have to leave before then. Yeah. And that'd be fine. But backrooms doesn't have violence in it. Yeah. But I heard that it has something. Oh, never mind.
Starting point is 01:28:57 Well, you know what Bowen Yang's, I don't think so honey, is going to have comedy in it as well as insight. I don't know about that. Those are both debatable. Let's do it. Well, let's live in a world where we have belief. This is Bowen Yang's I don't think so honey is times does now. I don't think so honey calling it a full fat Coke. I've got a can right here.
Starting point is 01:29:16 Let's look at the fat content shot. the fat content, shall we? Yeah. Total fat. Zero grams. Cut that shit out at once, I said. Dye Coke has zero. That's white claw hunting.
Starting point is 01:29:30 Yeah, has zero grams of fat. I understand what we're doing. We're being cutesy about, you know, diet, full fat. It's not like that. No. The diet thing is actually a cute little holdover from the 80s or some such. 30 seconds.
Starting point is 01:29:42 Full fat Coke, call it full shug. Right. Call it. 30 milligram sodium coke. Call it that. That's crazy. That's a long walk. Sodium in this?
Starting point is 01:29:53 Ooh. Anyway. You did what? What? What? You didn't know there'd be sodium? I didn't know that much sodium. This is actually 25 grams of carbs. Okay, call it that.
Starting point is 01:30:02 Call it that. Oh, I shouldn't have had this. Oops, now that I think about it. Oops, but I have had to talk about 11 p.m. last night. You did. I'm not putting good things in my body. And that's your time. One minute.
Starting point is 01:30:13 But yeah, but you know, now that we're done with the show, though, we're being garbage cans. I think that's, I like that moment. We had pizza, the other nights. It was a loser. I would have that again tonight. Lucifer's rocks. Lucifer's rocks.
Starting point is 01:30:26 Rocks. I fucking love you, Lucifer's. The best. The devil. The devil. Lucifers worship the devil. I love. Years ago, one time I was flirty DMing with whoever runs their social.
Starting point is 01:30:37 And if you're still running it, he's taken now. Back off. Back off. You better not speak to me again. Unless you're talking about. pepperoni and sausage. But not that kind of pepperoni and sausage. If there's anyone I would flirt with on a mascot level,
Starting point is 01:30:54 it would be the pizza demon. Ooh. And that is Lucifer. You hear that devil? Back off me. Go to Bowen. Oh my God, the pizza demon. It's pizza demon.
Starting point is 01:31:04 It's a pizza demon. You've had Lucifers. I've had Lucifer's. You gotta get it with buffalo sauce and pepperoni. It's so spicy. So spicy, but it's good. Ooh. Makes me want to.
Starting point is 01:31:15 Sam. It makes you want to do a little vocal run. Do you take vocal lessons? Do you take vocal lessons? Yeah. I took one, I haven't taken one in a long time, but I took one like maybe five years ago. Oh, was that Eric Fetrow?
Starting point is 01:31:29 Yes. Actually? Yeah. Oh, that's fun. Like Ari's guy. Yeah, yeah, he's amazing. He's one of the top guys. It was a great lesson and I was like,
Starting point is 01:31:39 keep doing this, you idiot, and I didn't do it. No, it's like, it's like acupuncture. It's like, oh, I gotta keep doing this to get better. But it was great. always say I'm going to do it year-round because I start in October to start getting ready for Christmas. And I always stop doing it in January and then I lose it until we have to, you know, get ready for the culture awards. But it would be a great thing to aspire to, like, have that like a regular part of life because it's like therapy. I know. And when you're doing it, are you doing
Starting point is 01:32:03 it once a week, once a month? By week. When I'm doing it, I'm doing it a few times a week. Holy Christmas. But I also love it. Like I said, it is, it does feel like additional therapy. Sometimes I go and I won't realize I need this, but I'll just end up talking the whole time because I'm like, you know, needing to like work through something or, you know, whatever. Whatever. You're about to do a vocal run, Darcy Carlin. This is Darcy Cardens. I don't think so many. Her time starts now. Okay.
Starting point is 01:32:32 I don't think so, honey, that the kitchen, that the room of the kitchen continues to be dirty. You clean it very well. Bleach. The whole gag. Not but a day later, stains upon the floor once again. And all you did was get some yogurt. It's not like you made a big marineropo and a bubbling for all your nanas and nonos.
Starting point is 01:33:03 30 seconds. No, you simply put a slop of yogurt in a bowl. And then suddenly covered and you have to once again reach for the mom. And I don't think so, honey. That room has got an attitude. It needs to figure itself. Why so many states?
Starting point is 01:33:27 I would like that room to take a note from bed, living, bath even. A little less noise from you kitchen. I don't think so, honey, you're filthy. Kill them all. Kill the mall. How do you know it? You listen to it all the time? It is deep in my soul.
Starting point is 01:33:53 It really was. It moved through me. Kill them all. This is terrible. This is terrible. Kill them all. They were also so good in the show. They were so, they were the most funniest.
Starting point is 01:34:10 Wow. The funniest. They are so funny. You are. a sleigh for that. You are. You notice his point? You, oh my God, interesting. He does this. I do pinky point. Wait, here's you.
Starting point is 01:34:22 Here's you. Here's you and here's me in theater school. When prompted. When prompted. Don't forget. I still don't understand the difference between this and this. I guess it's like maybe naturally you'd be like, and you over there and your teacher would be like, point. And you over there. Wow. Well, I'm pointing to you at home. And I'm pointing to you at home.
Starting point is 01:34:40 And I am saying, you know, I'm going to point you to your remote control. tomorrow that is July 9th if you're listening to it on July 8th because the five-star weekend you're going to be checking in to a five-star experience. Ooh, that's really good. That's really good. You guys, I love you. I love you. Do you know how much we love you? And also,
Starting point is 01:34:58 do you know that like when we were leaving again, today we picture lock the culture awards so we're excited. So we got a glass of champagne at the end and we said we were coming here and the whole post crew was like, please tell her that we love her. Sorry. That's so nice.
Starting point is 01:35:16 Yeah, it's just true. A lot of love. A lot of love. A lot of love. That's so nice. Whatever, that's so nice. I love you guys. We love you.
Starting point is 01:35:25 I talk about you all the time. Wait, I do want to say something that I said 500 times to interviewers in almost the Lady Gaga when there's one in the room sort of way. Yes. Yeah. But I'm going to say it again, which is that. The show that you guys put on is the exact same show that you would have done in the UCB basement.
