and Galane Maxwell is out and it contains more shocking allegations against prominent figures. We have
what you need to know about this last release and where we go from here. Welcome to Sidebar,
presented by Law and Crime. I'm Jesse Weber. Well, this may be it. The final batch of court
documents have been released. Over 215 documents. Now, as a reminder, all of this legal
paperwork in the Jeffrey Epstein case, it is being released thanks to New York Judge Loretta
Prescott, because she decided back in December that documents related to a defamation law
suit filed against Epstein's Madam, accomplice, Galane Maxwell, this was filed by Epstein
accuser Virginia Joufrey, that all this could be unsealed and made public with most John
and Jane Does to be identified. Now, of course, Jeffrey Epstein was the financier and sex
offender who pled guilty to state sex crimes charges back in 2008 in Florida under a very
controversial non-prosecution deal that saw him avoid facing more severe charges. But as we know,
he was re-arrested years later on federal sex trafficking charges.
And while he was awaiting trial, he apparently killed himself in his New York jail cell in 2019.
Maxwell, his accomplice, was convicted of sex trafficking in 2021, and she's currently serving
a 20-year prison sentence.
Now, Virginia Joufrey, formerly Virginia Roberts, she had filed this defamation suit against
Maxwell in 2015 for statements that were made by Maxwell questioning Jufre's claims of
abuse.
The case was settled out of court, but there was still huge.
amounts of court filings that the media outlets wanted access to, right?
Transparency.
Now, to be clear, and I say this all the time, not everybody named in these documents is
accused or guilty of nefarious or criminal activity or knew what was going on.
They could be former employees, victims, associates, or just even people mentioned in passing
during deposition testimony.
Okay.
Now, what do we know?
We know that more than 1,000 pages of documents have been released over the last week,
a week and a half, two weeks.
But now, included in that list is a sworn deposition with Epstein himself in 2016.
Now, what did he say?
Maybe not surprisingly.
He repeatedly invoked his Fifth Amendment right, protecting himself from self-incrimination.
Not that surprising.
Now, a lawyer for Jufre had asked Epstein repeatedly about all the accusations against him,
about whether or not Jufre had these sexual encounters with powerful men like Prince
Andrew, the Duke of York, even kind of minor things about his.
cell phone number. But the lawyer also wanted to know if there was any attempt to blackmail
these men. Epstein said the word fifth more than 500 times in this deposition. So he didn't
give them anything. He even refused to acknowledge that he knew Elaine Maxwell at all. Now,
we've told you before here on sidebar about Joufrey's accusations against Prince Andrew. She claims
that she was forced to have sex with him despite being underage. Prince Andrew has always maintained
that he didn't even know Jufre despite there seemingly being a photo with her with Maxwell in the
background. But let's talk about Jufre's 2016 deposition. There's a lot to talk about here.
So this was released in the latest batch of documents. And first, she claims that she was paid
$10,000 to $15,000 for one sexual encounter with Prince. She also explained that she had
been paid $160,000 by a media organization for articles and the photograph of her with
Prince Andrew. Now, Jufre filed a lawsuit against Andrew, and he paid an undisclosed amount of money in
2022 to settle the suit. He didn't admit any wrongdoing or liability, but the settlement was
reportedly millions of British pounds. Now, in the latest deposition paperwork, Joufrey denied having
ever been sex traffic to any presidents, but said that she did have sex with a well-known
prime minister. She refused to name who that person was. She said, quote, if I can just say,
I personally know that this is not a good person to talk about, and I'm not going to point
blank. I'm not going to say his name. Well, here's another revelation that's probably going to send
shivers down your spine. I know it did with me. In this 2016 deposition, Joufrey claimed that Epstein
had a room known as the dungeon inside of his New York City townhouse. She testified, quote,
So there was pictures on his desk in the office and around that room. And then there's this
room that I refer to as the dungeon that had a huge photograph of me and another girl. I mean
huge, as in bigger than that wall cabinet, there's a painting of both of us doing salacious
acts together. And when asked what she meant by salacious acts, Jufrey said, sexual acts. You know
what I'm saying? According to Jufre, there were also nude photos of victims all over Epstein's
properties, including Little St. James Island, a home in Palm Beach, Florida, has Manhattan
townhouse, his New Mexico ranch. She said to the best of her knowledge, guests to the
properties really wouldn't be able to miss these photographs. For example, Jufre claimed that
in Epstein's Palm Beach home, there were at least 50 photographs on the hallway table
right as you walk into the house through the front door.
Sticking with Jufre's deposition, now let's talk about Gwendolyn Beck.
So according to Joufrey, Gwendolyn Beck, the ex-girlfriend of New Jersey Senator
Bam Menendez, often participated in orgies with Jeffrey Epstein and underage girls.
Yeah, in that 2016 deposition, Joufrey was shown a list of names and asked which one she
was not trafficked to when she was a teenager. She replied, Wendell and Beck, I wasn't traffic
to her. She was just part of some of the trafficking. And when an attorney asked what that
involvement was, Dufre replied that Beck was involved in some of the orgies along with Epstein.
Now, Beck has been connected with Epstein before. That's not new. There were photographs of
them together at events, but it's our understanding that this is the first time she has been
accused of any wrongdoing publicly. By the way, Beck actually ran for Congress in 2014.
It was unsuccessful, but Epstein made a donation of more than $12,000 to that campaign.
At the time, she told a Virginia media outlet that she accepted the donation out of, quote, forgiveness.
Remember, at this point in time, Epstein had already been convicted of soliciting a minor for prostitution.
She said at the time that she hadn't spoken with Epstein personally in years.
Beck said, quote, during my years at Morgan Stanley, I managed a portion of the investment funds and knew him personally.
While the press has tagged him as a man of mystery because they can't explain how he made his money,
it's mostly a combination of real estate complex derivatives.
At the time, he had a girlfriend he was very close to and was a hardworking, thoughtful man.
I think he went off the deep.
When she left and got involved in very bad behaviors, which he sought therapy for and paid his time in jail.
At the time of this recording, I will tell you that Beck has not commented yet on these latest allegations.
Billionaire Les Wexner, founder of Elbranz, that founded the business empire that owns Victoria's Secret and Bath and Body Works.
He was mentioned again in this final document dump.
We've mentioned him before in previous sidebar recordings,
but in this latest document dump,
Dufre says that she was trafficked to Les Wexner for sex multiple times
and that he, quote, participated in sex with minors.
She claims Maxwell instructed her to wear outfits like lingerie for Wexner.
And that is something, by the way, that Maxwell categorically denied in her deposition.
Dufre seemed to suggest that she and Wexner had a sexual trist with Epstein associate Sarah Kellyn too.
Drew Frey said in the deposition that she planned to sue Les Wexner.
She said, quote, I wanted to see him come forward.
I wanted justice to happen.
I wanted him to own up for his wrongs.
Now, Epstein was at Wexner's personal finance manager for years.
Wexner has previously denied all wrongdoing,
apologized for his association with the convicted sex offender.
And in fact, an attorney named Brad Edwards, who had represented Joufrey at one point,
said that he had doubts about his client's claims about Les Wexner,
saying that Wexner's denial about knowing what Epstein was up to was very likely to be true.
Mr. Edwards said, quote, we have not seen where he is in the company of Jeffrey Epstein at the time
when he was engaging in these things.
In fact, it's very seldom that many of the victims actually even met him or saw him.
I do know that there's a lot of business ties to him, but other than receiving information
about their business connection, I don't have any information to believe otherwise.
And by the way, Les Wexner has never been criminally charged connection to these allegations.
And speaking of allegations, there are new accusations against French model scout Jean-Luc Brunel as well.
He has long been accused of acting as a pimp for Epstein, procuring young girls for him to sexually assault.
Brunel was picked out of a modeling agency in the 90s following a report of decades-long abuse against young women and girls.
But Epstein and Brunel apparently started a new agency.
And when Epstein died in 2019, French authorities opened an inquiry against Brunel, tried to flee the country, but he was arrested at the airport.
The documents alleged that he would offer girls from poor country's modeling jobs, but instead would traffic and abuse them.
Brunel, though, was found dead in a prison cell in Paris.
He was waiting trial on charges of rape.
Now, according to the documents, Epstein forced Jane Doe No. 3 to observe him, Brunel, and Maxwell engage in illegal sexual acts with dozens of underage girls.
Epstein also forced Jane Doe 3 to have sex with Brunel on numerous occasions.
And we knew all that, but in the latest round of documents, there was a message that was,
recovered. And it was apparently a message left for Epstein by an employee of his, someone who
would work for him. And it read that Jean-Luc Brunel, quote, has a teacher for you to teach
how to speak Russian. She is two times eight years old, not blonde. Lessons are free, and you could
have your first today if you call. Yikes. Authorities, by the way, found this back when they were
investigating Epstein in the early 2000s before he pled guilty to those charges out of Florida.
Joufrey, by the way, also talked about Bill Clinton in this latest round.
Virginia Juffray claimed that former President Bill Clinton, who we already had reported was an associate of Epstein, had a connection to him at one point in time.
He's never been formally accused of any wrongdoing or crimes.
But Jufre says that he had to have been a witness to what was going on, namely the abuse of all of these minor females.
She was asked in the deposition, is Bill Clinton a witness to the sexual abuse of minors?
Dufre replied, yes, he would be a witness because he knew.
what my purpose there was for Jeffrey
and he visited Jeffrey's
island. Now to note
there has been doubt cast on
whether Clinton ever was on that island
and there's no definitive proof
he was there. There's clear
evidence that he was on the plane at one point.
Now moving on to these kind of big claims
from Jew Frey, she also claims
in the 2016 deposition
that she and another female
performed sex acts
on not only Jeffrey Epstein
but prominent attorney Alan Dersh.
inside of a limo.
Quote, Jeffrey instigated it.
The men pulled out their wording for this is just anatomy.
They pulled out their anatomy, their genitals,
and we were told to perform oral sex on them.
You know, I don't know the exact terms that they used during that time,
but Jeffrey insinuated it and Alan agreed to it, so yes.
And as we have previously reported,
Dershowitz had sued each other at one point.
Jufre had dropped her case against him saying
she might have had a case of mistaken identity about being trafficked to Alan Dershowitz.
And by the way, Alan Dershowitz has adamantly denied all wrongdoing, even calling for the release
of all of these documents.
There's another interesting tidbit regarding Elaine Maxwell being deposed.
So during a deposition in this lawsuit, an attorney asked Maxwell if she had approached
an underage Virginia Joufrey at former President Donald Trump's home in Palm Beach County,
Florida.
Maxwell said, quote, first of all, we can all agree here.
all of you sitting here, that the lies that you perpetrated in the press that she was 15,
and we should all agree now that that is fake, a lie that was perpetrated between all of you
to make the story more exciting. Can we agree on that? The lawyer replied, that is not my question.
Maxwell replied, can we agree? She was not the age she said. You put that in the press.
That is obviously manifestly, absolutely, totally a lie. Then you got to get this. Apparently,
Maxwell got upset because the lawyer says, quote, I am going to put on the record,
Ms. Maxwell very inappropriately and very harshly pounded our law firm table in an inappropriate
manner, I ask she take a deep breath and calm down.
I know this is a difficult position, but physical assault or threats is not appropriate.
So no pounding, no stomping.
No, that's not appropriate.
And Maxwell responded, can we be clear?
I didn't threaten anybody.
Well, finally, I'm going to leave you with this.
We talked a lot about Epstein accuser Sarah Ransom and her allegations about recorded sex
tapes and kind of doubts on her credibility, but there was one other disturbing thing that she claimed.
So in a 2016 deposition, Ransom explained how she once found herself on Epstein's plane
with the financier and two other females.
She said, quote, the rest of the passengers in the, I think it's towards the front of the
plane where all the seats are, we all, all the guests were, fell asleep.
I pretended to be asleep.
Jeffrey then went, Jeffrey went to his, was in his bed on the plane, having open sex
with Nadia for everyone else to see on display.
Now, that could be Nadia Marsenkova.
We've talked about before being a Jeffrey Epstein associate.
So as of right now, that seems to be all of the documents at play.
There is a question about whether or not the identities of at least two other Jane Does may
be revealed.
The court is going to assess that.
But these are the documents.
These are the revelations.
Now, it's not the Jeffrey Epstein list, as we all talked about.
You know, the list of everybody that committed a crime.
But it definitely sheds some new light for people,
especially if you haven't been following the Jeffrey Epstein saga.
And at the very least, it kind of crystallizes a little bit more
of the players and the allegations for you.
But remember, that's what this is, allegations, documents, material, testimony,
in the middle of a civil lawsuit.
So let's always be clear and put this all into context about what this means.
But we will continue, of course, to follow more of the Jeffrey Epstein saga,
should it progress.
That is all we have for you here on Sidebar.
