Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday! Happy Halloween episode. It's a Halloween special today you
guys. How are we feeling? I am a little scared. Okay, I've actually made it really dark in the
room and I've just got literally like the LED lights on. It's the middle of the day but I'm
actually feeling really honored. I've actually got goosebumps because I was just going through
a couple of the stories and I'm actually a bit terrified. These episodes genuinely leave me
feeling really scared but they're just thrilling.
Aren't they thrilling?
Are you one of those people that you like being scared or are you like, no hate horror
films, like not for me because I know a lot of people they find being scared fun, you
know like the type of people to go to like S fest and scare mazes and I do love something like that, but
I get really nervous. Like when I went to a scare maze in York two years ago,
there was like this clown with a chainsaw and even when we were just like queuing up to get into the place,
they're like fucking charging at you with these chainsaws and also you're in a queue,
so you're not running away because I've been in this queue a while right just to get in and I get
so scared because I get you're an actor and like I get it like you're being paid this is your job
it's makeup but there is nothing to tell me that you're not actually a bit fucked and maybe you
are like a genuine murderer and you're just using this as your cover
But you are actually out here to murder a load of people tonight
Do you know what I mean?
But like no one would be alarmed by all the screaming and stuff because we're at a scare fest because I'm sorry
That's like a murderers dream location
Do you know what I mean?
And I just get so scared that actually the people behind the makeup might actually be
kinda crazy and be out here trying to kill us.
And I- if somebody said can you give a description and I'm like yeah it was a clown.
It's just not helpful.
But anyway, I love you guys, I missed you.
I feel like I haven't spoken to you in two weeks but it was just because I had the last
couple episodes pre-recorded so early. So yeah, I've been on holiday, I will do like a what we got up to, a proper
debrief, share all the funny stories and stuff next episode because I don't wanna, I just
feel like we need to keep the Halloween vibes for this one so that's gonna be next week.
There's a couple of things that are going on like in the news and stuff that I'm sure we've all seen that
I feel like we should talk about next week so this episode is gonna be focused
on Halloween and spooky stories insert ghost noise when I did the first ever
Halloween episode I had so many people messaged me like what the fuck was all ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooooooooooooooooo o It may just be a little dramatic effect or it could be real who fucking knows I actually have goosebumps I'm so nervous. I'm so afraid especially because my recent psychic reading told me that I was gonna start having experiences with spirits, which
Is seriously the whole right side of my body has got goosebumps like my right nipple is
extruding
Petruding protruding, that doesn't sound right
anyway, it's hard as fuck
and yeah, all down my right leg and right arm I've got severe goosebumps
guys I'm freaking myself out, I'm freaking out
I'm freaking out, okay, if you are driving
drive extra cautiously, I don't want anyone getting too distracted
and driving dangerously.
Do you know what I mean? Please listen to this in a safe space. Obviously, I do want to
preface this by saying that these are just stories that you guys have sent in.
You know, let's take them with a pinch of salt. Let's not get too scared. Some of us just like
to get a little bit freaked out, you know? Oh my god, guys, why do I have goosebumps? I'm actually
scared. I feel like I'm not alone in this room. Oh,'m scared I'm scared I'm scared I'm scared okay I didn't
even start yet. Anyway I hope you're all having an amazing week if you went out for Halloween because
this is past the first Halloween weekend. If you went out how was it? I actually didn't end up going
to the Halloween party that was making a massive deal out of. Yeah, classically, basically we got back from our holiday, we had a day to figure everything out
and we had no idea how we was going to get there, what we was going to go as, where we was going to
stay and it was just causing me too much stress. I was like, you know what, I'm just gonna call it,
I'm just gonna, I'm just not gonna go. But yeah, it's fine. It did look really fun though, so that's depressing. But
yeah, I didn't actually go out. I didn't go out for Halloween this year. I probably won't be going
out this weekend either, to be honest. I'm just like, sometimes I just don't have it in me. Like
sometimes, like last year, I didn't have any plans but I really wanted plans. I really wanted
to get dressed up and get a costume so I literally
just did it, made content and didn't go out. This year I had the option to go out but I
just didn't have it in me, I just wasn't in the mood. I think because I just got back
from being in the blazing gorgeous sun and having amazing wheat sipping cocktails by
the pool and then like sunset walks on the beach that
like the last thing I wanted to do was go to like a spooky Halloween party and get all Halloweened
out do you know what I mean so I just didn't have it in me this year I think I might get a couple of
pumpkins and do them this week but that's about as far as I'm gonna go I'm ready to just switch on
the Christmas spirit but that's not this episode. Okay I hope you're ready I hope
you're as nervous as me and I hope you are feeling as spooked out as me because
otherwise I feel extremely alone. I love you thank you for being here. Oh I also
need to say you guys know I asked for these Halloween stories like two months
in advance we had some incredible, when I tell you incredible, incredible Halloween
stories coming through. Some really fucking scary ghost stories. I made a folder in my phone called
Halloween episode. Was saving them all every time they come in. Was saving them all straight to the
folder. Today I go through my emails getting any last-minute Halloween stories and thinking oh
Where's my Halloween folder gone? That's really weird. Oh, I find it
Empty I thought that's really weird
So I search in my email inbox
ghost
spooky
Halloween story all these keywords all coming up with last year's
emails. I was thinking no no no no no, that's weird. Like why have they just disappeared
out of my inbox? So within like the last three hours I've had to somehow recover. I've recovered
like a handful of them.
There is only a handful I could find.
But I did ask you guys on Instagram if you sent one in, send it back.
A couple of you did send them back in. Thank God.
And I did get a couple of new ones. So we do have an episode.
Thank God. Thank you guys.
But yeah, something out there did not want me to do this episode, which is scary, because
then I'm plugging in all my mic stuff, setting it all up to record, and it's just not picking
up my mixer, which is basically like the box that's in between my laptop and the microphone.
It's just not picking it up.
And without that, there's no microphone, there's no episode. I was like, what the fuck? It's just not picking it up. And without that, there's no microphone,
there's no episode. I was like, what the fuck? It's just not picking it up. I had this problem.
And then I was trying to open Logic, which is the platform I use to record it. It's not opening.
It's literally not opening. And I'm like, why is something against me reading these stories out?
Something doesn't want me to tell these stories but
I'm doing it anyway and I'm really scared. But okay, I love you. Thank you for being
here. Thank you if you sent in any stories. Let's get into the episode.

and follow lear on the line on Instagram to get involved. Love you! Okay everybody, let's begin.
I'm gonna really try and set the tone for this episode so that we can really get in the spirit of Halloween.
Okay.
Let's do this.
When my friend Emma was little, her mum would do her hair every day in the mirror before
school.
Now I'm already scared.
I'm already scared when there's mirrors involved guys.
I'm already fucking when there's mirrors involved guys. I'm already fucking terrified
Okay Emma was maybe like six to eight so not a young young child
She was aware of the difference between reality and imagination at this age
Emma would talk to her imaginary boyfriend George in the mirror every single day
Sometimes she'd comfort him if she was him if he was upset or if he
missed his mummy. Oh my god. And sometimes they'd just play. Emma's mum would go along
with this thinking that she had this imaginary friend, although her mum did find it slightly
freaky. Sometimes with the odd comments and details. Emma would tell her mum how George
got to be in the mirror with quite drastic, sorry, quite graphic details about a road accident.
I'm scared. No, I'm terrified guys, I'm terrified. I feel like I need to open the door.
It started to become a real issue when Emma was getting out of bed in the middle of the night I'm terrified guys, I'm terrified, I feel like I need to open the door.
It started to become a real issue when Emma was getting out of bed in the middle of the
night to sit by the mirror to comfort her friend George.
One day, when Emma's mum was driving her to school, they had been diverted and had to
take a different route to school.
On this diversion, they passed a memorial on the side of the road.
As you can imagine, were flowers and little laminated poems.
While passing, Gemma pointed at the memorial and said,
Mummy, Mummy, that's where my boyfriend George died.
Oh shit.
Her mum further investigated on Google what had happened there and lo and behold a young
boy named George had died there in a road accident.
Are you actually serious?
A truly heartbreaking ghost story and when I heard of this years on from it happening,
I have never doubted whether afterlife is real or not
I have changed names in this story because it's obviously a heartbreaking and very real tragedy
But my mum is best friends with Emma's mum and I fully believe this was real
Emma's mum was distraught when she had learned about all of this if I remember rightly they moved house shortly after
Now I can't vouch this story is real and I hope I've relayed it accurately
But I do believe this to be true based off of this sort of woman, Emma's mum is
Absolutely not the type to lie or make shit up
I don't doubt it for a second
I'm not even joking. I need to go and get Jamie in the room with me because I'm actually a bit scared. One second guys
Okay, I've got Jamie in the room with me. I actually couldn't read that.
I believe that with every inch of me, but do you know why that makes me feel really sad?
Is because, obviously I believe in the afterlife as well. I think when you have a fear of death, it's nice too.
But, the fact that he's upset, he's in his afterlife and he's sad and he's missing his mummy, like
that makes me even more scared, like oh I've always liked to tell myself that like it's a
happy place that we go to and that makes me feel like scared you know, like that poor boy
and it's so sweet like she'd get up in the middle of the night and go and sit with him in the mirror.
Poor boy. And it's so sweet, like she'd get up in the middle of the night and go and sit with him in the mirror.
I bet she remembers that so well. I do wonder, like, maybe Emma has the power to communicate with the Passover. Do you know what I mean?
And maybe she's like a medium.
Are we still in contact with her?
I would love to know.
Like, has she seen anything else? Has she spoken to anyone else? Oh my god
I wonder if George like misses her that when they moved out
Right we're gonna have to move on to the next story. Okay guys story number two
Hey, babe, so this is a spooky story that genuinely happened. This is not dramatised, I actually
experienced this and I would swear on my life. So me and my sister were dog sitting for a friend
and staying in her house. For context, in this room we were staying in it was already given creepy
vibes. It was decorated really old as it was an old house and there was a rocking chair in the corner.
No, I'm sorry, I'm tapping out. If you want me to stay somewhere there's a rocking chair or even
worse a rocking horse. I'm out. I'm not doing it.
She's even put, should have knew that was that, should have knew what that signaled, lol.
Anyway, we go to sleep and in the middle of the night I woke up for no reason. I
didn't need a wee, nothing.
I just got woken up and my sister was still fast asleep.
When I opened my eyes in the right corner of the room was what I can only imagine was
a ghost.
They're always in the fucking corner, aren't they?
Why the corner?
But then maybe they don't want to get too close.
Maybe they're scared. AHHHH they were stood near the curtain and
they were glowing and they were glowing like the skin was glowing almost like in
Twilight when Edward stands in the sun and all they did was check their phone
put it in their jeans pocket take it out and check their phone and then put it
back in their pocket and it just kept happening repeatedly
What does that mean?
so like do we get phones in the afterlife like just asking for a friend because like
They were a young woman with a brown bob a black leather jacket and jeans on not what you imagine a ghost to look like, right?
Yeah, seriously. I'm imagining like a nightie.
Like, if you tell me a ghost, I'm picturing long black hair, a nightie, pale skin, barefoot.
Heh.
Anyway, I was absolutely terrified.
Like, I felt paralysed as I could not move a muscle because I was so scared.
I wanted to wake my sister up, but I didn't want to move.
I stared at this thing slash ghost for probably about five minutes but it felt like forever. Five minutes is
a long time to watch something put their phone in and out their pocket. And then I hid under
the duvet, pretended not to see it until I fell asleep. I do not know how I managed to
go back to sleep to this day but I was around 15 so maybe I didn't realise to the full extent what I was really witnessing. And let me just say I 100%
know I was fully awake, I was not dreaming, not hallucinating, I was fully lucid and seeing
this and I can still picture it vividly now I'm 23. Later that week I told my friend what
happened and she was like do you know anyone who's died that age and
instantly I started crying and knew who it was.
My cousin died when she was a baby and I don't know if ghosts can age
but she would have been the same age that that ghost looked and it just felt right that as soon as I had the thought
it was her I could feel chills all over me and I just knew it was her.
Anyway, that was it but yeah the
scariest thing ever. I hope you all enjoyed. Love you, bye! Oh my god I have
head to toe chills. Chills. The fact that like once you thought about who it could
be like you just knew. I have chills! this is scary I'm not doing this next
year I'm not doing it I can't do this again I'm so scared I'm so scared
okay how the fuck are we all gonna sleep tonight if any of you are listening to
this because I know a lot of you like to listen to podcasts falling asleep if any
of you are listening to this like just in the middle
of the night in the dark trying to relax and fall asleep I'm genuinely concerned. So be fair you
should hear the stuff my mum watches on her telly as she falls asleep at night. It's just like I'll
get up for a wee in the middle of the night which is next to her bedroom and then all you hear is
like he stabbed her 16 times in the back and it's like, okay, mum's having a nice relaxing night every single night.
That is terrifying. Oh my god, you must have been petrified.
See ever since my that
psychic told me I was gonna start seeing ghosts. I think somebody's told me that before as well.
That things will start like making themselves known when when you're ready like as soon as you open yourself up to it
But like just so you guys know like I'm not open to that like you and like that's it's just like not something I want
My family have a lot of stories, I definitely told these in the
first one but my older sister, no I'm sorry, her house, I've experienced it. If you haven't
heard these stories go listen to the Halloween episode from 2022 because I think I told all
my experience with ghosts and all my family's experience with ghosts in that episode.
And yeah, it was so fucking scary,
like how every time I stayed at my sister's house,
I experienced something so scary
and so did other people that stayed there.
And now whenever I go in, I never feel alone in that house.
Like every time I step foot in the house,
I'm like, get me out of here, get me out of here,
get me out, get me out. And I feel like whatever lives in that house doesn every time I step foot in the house I'm like get me out of here get me out of it get me out get me out and I feel like whatever lives in that
house doesn't like me that's what I genuinely just feel it in my gut and
like my people pleaser side is like what have I fucking done to you why don't you
like me like I want you to like me okay Okay next story. Okay so this one is a little bit
different it's not really a ghost story but it feels funny enough to read out
and it will kind of it will relieve some of the fear that we're all feeling right
now for a short moment. Hey girly have I got a ghost story for you? Now this is
not your typical ghost story and I don't think you'll predict what happened but I feel this is the right time to share. It was about 15-16 years
ago when I was 13. I was staying overnight at my best friend's house, let's call her
Beth. And it started as a normal sleepover. We did some baking, watched some films and
ate loads of sweets and chocolate. It was getting very late so we decided to call it a night and go to sleep. I was super thirsty so went downstairs to get a glass
of water and on my way up the stairs I heard the toilet flush and I thought it was my friend
so I carried on. It wasn't her. It was her, at the time, 18 year old brother. Naked. I
froze as any 13 year old girl would. I was statue still at the bottom of the stairs and
he was stood at the top, everything on display, trying to work out what to do. He then ran off
to his room and I stayed a little longer in shock at what I'd just seen. I then ran up the stairs and
into bed where Beth was already asleep. I stayed awake for a while with the image of him burned
into my brain. I eventually fall asleep. The next morning, me and Beth go down to breakfast
where her family are already gathered in the kitchen, listening to her brother tell a story.
I couldn't even look at him because I felt so embarrassed for what I'd seen. Turns out
he didn't even know it was me. He thought he'd just seen a ghost at the bottom of the
stairs and that's why he ran off.
I'm still very close with Beth and whenever I see her brother he always tells the story of how his
house was haunted and he'd seen a ghost. I haven't admitted that I'm in fact the ghost he saw to Beth
or her brother. Not a real ghost story for Halloween but a ghost story worth sharing. Love you, bye! I think that's hilarious, like this guy for 15 years has believed he'd seen a ghost and
I genuinely think he'd probably rather it was his sister's friend. But could you imagine
telling him that now? By the way, next time you go round and he's like, have I ever told
you about the ghost story? And you're like, yes, 50,000 times you've told me,
but let me tell you something.
It wasn't a ghost, it was me.
I saw your butt naked when I was fucking 13.
All right, and believe me,
I was far more terrified than you.
This is a great story though.
I kind of love that he believes
that it was a ghost all this time.
And I find it really sweet how like obviously at 13
I think anyone else would do the same thing of just like go along with his idea
That it was a ghost and how scary would that be just like a little kid ghost at the bottom of the stairs
You just stood there naked at the top and he just sprints. I don't blame him
So funny though. I love that story. Okay back to the real scary stuff. Hey
pretty girl. Hi babe. I have a good spooky story for you and the girlies. So I work
in a castle. Already no. Immediately no. Why? Why would anybody work in a castle? I
just don't understand. If anywhere is haunted, it's a castle. Do
you know what I mean? Organising and running weddings, events and also doing social media.
I've never felt scared in the castle or experienced anything paranormal, even though I'm often
there by myself, looking up after events etc. I like to tell myself the ghosts are friendly.
Last year during the October school holidays, we put
on a Halloween spooky event in the dungeons. It was just a small event where a member of
our staff was dressed up and gave gruesome talks and demonstrations about how doctors
would treat battle wounds in the Viking Anglo-Saxon times. We'll call the member of staff Rachel.
Rachel brought her husband with her. He thought it would be funny to dress up as one of the
mannequins in the dungeon and stay as still as possible, but then suddenly move to give
the visitors a fright. He's also very into all the ghosts and paranormal stuff. I tried
to block it out because I'm just a girl and I get scared lol. This man stepped one
toe in the dungeon and immediately said there were spirits and weird energy in the corner next to the entrance door.
Can't deal, can't deal, can't deal.
He said to stay away from the corner as he was getting bad vibes.
I said, literally stop talking hun, I don't need to hear it.
I also have an irrational fear of mannequins, so I'm already terrified of that room.
No, mannequins are actually kinda creepy, not gonna lie. The event was a success and visitors loved it. However, Rachel made us aware on the first day
that she had a couple of kids that fainted, but she and their parents put it down to low blood
sugar levels or other reasons. She then came through to the office at around 11.30am looking
very panicked. This was on the second day of the week long event. She said that
people kept fainting, her phone keeps turning off and on, the battery drains in a matter
of minutes, her watch kept stopping, the room goes freezing cold and she was scared. This
woman isn't scared of anything. She said everything was fine right now but that she would take
a radio with her and radio through to us if she needed help.
She's a saint, like the fact that she's like let me crack on.
Within about 10 minutes of her going back to start the next talk she shouted over the
radio for assistance in the dungeon.
I'm sorry why are we even 7 foot in the dungeon let alone hosting ghost talks down there. Me and my other manager
went through to find another girl had fainted. This was the third person in the space of one and
a half hours. We closed off the area while the girl came around and we got her back outside once
she was feeling better. It turned out that each day at least two to three people fainted in the
dungeon. Rachel at first thought maybe three people fainted in the dungeon.
Rachel at first thought maybe these people already had underlying conditions and it was just a bad unlucky coincidence or maybe they were squeamish and couldn't handle the stories.
She was a nurse before joining us at the castle. Okay, I do.
So she took care of it all herself. The more we walked through to find a cause,
sorry, talked it through to find a cause, we both realised that every person who fainted was standing in that corner
next to the entrance door where Rachel's husband said there was something weird going
on and told us to stay away from it. This corner was at the back of the room where they
couldn't really see the demonstrations or anything that would make someone feel so squeamish causing them to faint.
We also checked the accident sheets that Rachel filled out for each person he fainted. None
of them reported any medications or known medical conditions that would have caused
the fainting. Most of them are never fainted before. Each person also felt fine after leaving
the dungeons. I left and shut the door. Fast.
On the third day of the event, we discussed moving it to another location in case there
was a problem with that room, but Rachel's husband decided to light some sort of incense
type thing, sorry I don't know what it was called. Possibly sage. Let's go with sage.
To ward off any negative spirits or energy. He spent about 20 minutes waving it around
the corner and saying something to the spirits. Oh sorry, that alone would fucking cause me to pass
out, that is terrifying. We decided to carry on with the event that day and that if another
person fainted or felt unwell, we would close it immediately and come up with a plan B.
People stood in that corner throughout the day and nothing happened. We never had another
person faint. Rachel's phone and watch stopped being
weird and everything was suddenly fine. Safe to say I will never put another event in the
dungeon nor will I go there ever again. Big fat nope. Happy Halloween! I'm sorry, whatever
he had, that sage ship, can I get some of that? Because wow. That is so messed up it's so messed up like what explanation can
there be besides that it was some sort of energy or spirit or presence you
know what I mean like what other explanation can there possibly be that
is so scary well lesson learned leave the dungeons in castles alone, because no thank you. Well
I'm glad everyone was okay in the end. Okay here we go, next story. Hey girly, so I've got a spooky
story for you. We moved into a 200 year old farmhouse with a really old stone cellar. You see? No! This is what we don't do. This is
this is exactly the house we don't move into. You know what I'm saying? 200 years old farmhouse
with an old stone cellar. It's just it's just not gonna happen for me. Like I could never
with only a stone table attached to the floor in the
center of the room. Wow attached to the floor, crazy. It has old outhouse barns
outside and a two acre garden. Sounds fucking crazy, you're not gonna lie.
There was a lock on the kitchen door that could only be locked from the inside of
the door and then wait what of the door and then kitchen led to the cellar.
Our dogs would never go down to the cellar, however once we had our friend's dog come over,
the dog went down to the cellar and started barking over and over and over again and ran
back upstairs and was shaking. Oh no.
There has been other times when sat in the outhouse smoking at night due to rainfall
and my dog would stare at the ceiling barking
and you could hear something moving in the roof.
What?
When in the kitchen you would hear a loud click
and the door had locked by itself.
However, we never got locked out the kitchen.
It only locked if someone was in there.
Safe to say we moved out.
When we looked at the history to the house, we found that over 120 people had lived there since it had built in 200 years.
Wow, so no one's staying there long.
120 people in 200 years? That's... wait, that works out like people
aren't living there for long at all before they leave. Which is a lot.
I've attached a photo which is similar to the seller we had. Oh no, what is that?
Jamie, look at that. What the hell is that? Oh my god that's terrifying. I wonder like
what went down like 200 years ago, what went down in those years? It kind of
makes me feel like somebody lived there. So if there's 120 people lived there for
200 years it makes me feel like somebody lived there for like all their life, right? Let's say they lived there for like 40 years, whatever.
Somebody else lived there for 30 years, yeah, yeah, yeah. Then everyone else after that
lived there for a year or two max. Why? Why the fuck is that? You know? That's crazy.
I wonder what the stats are now that's so so
scary I would I was gonna say I'd love to know the story what actually went
down there but I don't know I don't know if I would I'm so glad everyone's okay
right next story hi Leah safe to say I've recently had a spooky encounter. I just don't know how
I can get through this episode. Right. Back in April I stayed three nights in a
hotel. This is recent, okay? April. I stayed three nights in a hotel in Italy.
Checking into the room it looked a little run-down with wooden floors and
wardrobes permanently fixed shut but I didn't think much of it
Every night at home. I sleep with the fan on I
Struggle to sleep without white noise when there is no fan
I stick white noise on Spotify through my phone to fall asleep to
It's been my number one on Spotify rat for two years running lol
You know, I love this tune
on Spotify rap for two years running lol. You're like I love this tune. My first night as I was drifting asleep I could hear scratching coming from under my bed on the floor. Under my bed
I am so scared of the whole under the bed situation. Has anyone ever seen The Visit,
the horror film where they go and stay with their grandparents? There was a scene in that
that summed up my biggest fear from childhood where
somebody reaches out from under the bed and grabs your ankles.
Still to this day, I'm 27 years old, I will scatter away from my bed because I'm still so scared.
Literally, it's like that, you know, kids are scared of a monster under my- under their bed. I'm 27,
I'm still scared of a monster under my bed. So if I had scratch in under my bed, I
would pass out I
I would sprint I would sprint out of the room before it could get me
Does anyone else have this fear as well that like you'll be sprinting out of your room and you for some reason like you just
Can't get the door open like Your hand won't grab the handle your like hand-eye coordination is just off and you just can't get the you can't get the door open
because I suppose
Most bedrooms you pull the door into yourself into the room. So like you'd have to walk backwards like open the door
To get out. Do you know what I mean? And I always have this fear of like I'm sprinting away from something in my room and I can't get out that's that
terrified me anyway back to your story I sat up and turned my side light on it
then suddenly stopped I disregarded it thinking it was the people below me so I
tried to go back to sleep yeah people below you just scratch in the ceiling so if I could be rats could be rats where am I so I tried to go back
to sleep and then the scratching started again I set up and turned the
sidelight on suddenly it stops again so I lay back down it started again and
then it stopped after about a minute.
As I continued trying to fall asleep, I heard a knock in on the wall behind my headboard.
I didn't think much of it, again blaming the people in the room next door. Until it dawned
on me. My bathroom was behind the headboard. How could someone have knocked when it's in
my room? The next morning I didn't think
too much of it. That's insane. The fact that you went through all that and you
didn't think much of it like is insane to me. I can hear a tap drip when I'm
alone. When I stayed in a hotel by myself, I haven't done that often but the last
time I did it I could not sleep.
So basically it was really really hot, it was the middle of summer and the hotel was
in on like a high street, like a really loud noisy high street in London. So I had to have
the window open because it was so hot but it was so noisy out there so I would shut
the window to try and keep the noise out but then I'd be fucking boiling and then the silence was
terrifying me. I literally, and I knew that there weren't, there weren't many people in the hotel,
it was quite a quiet hotel, like I hadn't seen a single soul on my floor in the lift, like I hadn't seen anybody else,
so I felt really alone in there and I was so afraid to the point where I had to sleep with the window open
just so that I could feel noise and people.
So if I'm that scared in a hotel where nothing has happened,
how you can experience this and say that you didn't think much of it?
It's crazy. You're brave.
The second night felt fairly peaceful. Nothing out of the ordinary happened until the third and final night. Similar to the other two nights, I put a white noise on my phone. As
I was drifting to sleep, suddenly it stopped playing. Presuming my phone had died, I turned
the side light on and checked my phone. My phone was fully charged. It appeared the white
noise had just been paused. I continued playing it, turned the side light off and
turned to lay facing the other way to try and get back to sleep. Next thing I know,
every single light in the room turned on and the white noise had been paused again. No,
no, no. That is just something I cannot do. All the lights turn on.
What in the fuck?
Every single light.
The dressing room light.
The dressing table light.
The bedside table lamps.
The ceiling light.
The bathroom light.
No.
No no no no no no no.
I kept my eyes shut.
This is when I got the strange sense that someone or something was leaning over watching me with my eyes
Still shut I ignored what just happened
Hey
You what you you just kept your eyes shut and ignored it in sanity
And I suppose in some sense took the L assuming whatever it was did not want the white noise playing, so I slept with all the lights on.
You're just like, alright, geez, if you if you wanted it up, you could have just asked.
If you want the lights on, that's fine.
Crazy.
Somehow I managed to fall asleep. Yeah, sorry, you've gone from like,
I can't sleep without white noise to sleeping with the fucking lights on and no white noise with a ghost in the room. Okay, as the night
went on I felt this sudden chill which woke me up at 3 12 a.m. notoriously witching hour. Oh, is it?
Oh, oh, oh. I was laying on my back, which is out of the ordinary for me, hands face downward on the bed by the side
of my body. I looked down at my feet and realized the whole bed sheet was at the end of the bed.
How would I have done that in my sleep when it was tightly fitted?
Yeah, and also laying on your back with hands face down side by side is so creepy.
Like no one sleeps like that, like a plank of wood, like no one sleeps like that. Like a plank of wood. Like no one
sleeps like that. Why would I be too hot in a room that is freezing cold from the
aircon when I'm wearing shorts and a vest top? Why have I never pushed the
whole- why have I never pushed the whole bed sheet off at home? Feeling groggy from
sleeping. Yeah if you actually deep that, like when I'm reading the story I'm like
oh yeah like that's weird like you could have kicked the quilt off. Who's ever done that in their life? Raise your hand. No one. Not many at least.
How many of you have ever woken up and the quilt is by your fucking ankles?
Has never happened to me. Oh
My god, could you imagine what happened to me tonight? Me and Jamie are laying there in bed like planks of wood for the-
Do they tell our ankles?
And the lights on. That was so scary.
Feeling groggy from sleeping, I didn't think much about it. You are just the queen of like
just not thinking about things. Like, eh, fuck it. Like, I love that though. I pulled
the bedsheet up and fell back to sleep but felt as though I wasn't alone. It wasn't until
the next morning that I thought about it. Was it paranormal activity that I experienced? Or maybe it's just an old
building that creaks and has electrical problems. Maybe I sleep, sorry, maybe I sleepwalk without
knowing and I pulled the bed sheets from the other side of the bed. I'll never know. Safe to say if
that wasn't my last night I would have checked out and found somewhere else. I emailed the hotel
asking if anyone else has experienced anything paranormal
They unsurprisingly never replied
Freaky
Save to say I'm probably blacklisted from that hotel now. I have attached some photos of the room
It looks like a boat you want to see this Jamie
Look at that.
It's scary, it's not, it's not massively scary but like yeah I would, oh I've got that bag,
that Ryanair size bag, I have that bag. Um yeah, it doesn't... it doesn't look massively creepy, but it's not somewhere I'd want to stay at the same time.
But like, if you s- if you told me it was haunted, like, I'd believe you. Do you know what I mean?
Yeah, that's so scary. And like, what are these spirits doing just hanging out in hotels? Like,
do you know what I mean? Like, I would assume that you'd hang out with like, your close ones or something. Maybe they're all there just in that room together.
God, okay.
Next one.
My family and I went on a holiday down the country when we were kids and we live in Ireland.
We booked a holiday home for the week and it turned out that it used to be an old small
hotel years ago.
There was quite a creepy vibe from the start. Upstairs there was a hallway of five doors
boarded up.
Why? Why? Do you know what I mean? Me and my cousin were upstairs in a room and it was
sort of a lounge room. We were sitting in front of the mirror and suddenly we both at the exact same time screamed
and ran down the stairs.
What?
When we both got downstairs we realised we saw the exact same thing.
A white figure ran past the mirror.
Our parents never believed us as they thought we were just messing as we were only kids
but to this day we still talk about it.
We hadn't discussed anything spooky before we screamed. We just saw it at the exact same time
That's fucking scary
The fact that like you both just sat there then all of a sudden you both like
Exact same time that's so scary
Okay, let's do one more. Okay let's go for this one. Okay
hello Leah I have a spooky story for the pod. Not ghosty or anything like that
but Defo, a weird one. Okay this might be a nice one to end on you know, to, to, uh, de- I said this before. I said, decompose?
But that's like when you, when you die,
and your body like breaks down.
I said it before, let's, let's all decompose.
You're like, no thanks.
That's so dumb that I said that,
because so many of you in my DMs like,
um, babes, I don't think you got the right word there.
Decompress? Deeeeee.
You guys know what I'm trying to say and I can't quite get my finger on it. Basically,
I've been speaking to my nan and grandad recently and they were telling me that when I was younger,
maybe two, three years old, I used to say how the mummy I have now is much prettier
than my other mummy and how I didn't have a dad but I did have a brother the mummy I have now is much prettier than my other mummy, and how
I didn't have a dad but I did have a brother, how I couldn't go to school because I didn't
have any shoes and I lived in a cottage, was very poor, couldn't afford bread, I only had
rags to cover myself at night, no blankets or anything, and we had to burn the wood from
the stairs to keep warm.
Oh my god that's so sad, that's heartbreaking. My nan said
these things were very strange and historically accurate words for me
considering I was only about two. Yeah that's true, I haven't even clicked
that you're two years old. My niece and nephews are like seven, eight, they
wouldn't have a clue. Apparently I only spoke about this for like two weeks and
then I never mentioned it again. That's crazy, isn't it?
Wow. I wonder what they were thinking. I bet they were like, Jesus Christ, she's a creepy little kid.
Okay, they were some terrifying stories. I don't know about you guys,
but I'm gonna struggle to shake this off now.
Let's wrap up the episode.
Okay, spooky, spooky girlies.
There is actually a lot of stories about people,
and especially children, who talk about their past life and
when you research into it, all these things existed like the accident that caused their
death or whatever it was, whatever their story is. There's actually a lot of Examples of people being able to back up these kids theories and like like you like the last one
They come out with things that like you just shouldn't know at a certain age
so
Do how can we not believe in like a past life and stuff like that?
But then it may not be that you experienced a past life
It may be that you have like a connection your soul may have a connection that you experienced a past life, it may be that you have like a connection, your soul may have a connection
to something in a past life.
It is one of these things that we just like
don't have the answer to, you know?
And probably never will, or at least not in this lifetime.
But yeah, terrified,
triggered out my fucking minds,
and yeah, gonna have to go and have a nice hot bath or
something even though that might cause me some stress at this point but yeah
I'm scared and freaked out and I need to go and see some daylight because I'm so scared
but I hope you guys enjoyed this episode I definitely definitely did it's just so
fun when I said I'm not doing it next year, that was a lie. I probably most definitely will be.
What can we do next?
What other special?
We obviously have the New Year's special, which is staple over here.
Like we do the reflection of the year, all of our, what's it called?
Resolutions, goals, how many we ticked off, how many of them we thought we wanted and
then it turns out by the end of the year that it was totally different.
So I love that one.
I always find that one really wholesome, finding out what you guys have been up to and achieved
or found, you know.
And we always want to do a Christmas special episode, but it's always really difficult
to think of anything for a Christmas special. A few of you have asked me to do a gift guide so let me know if you would want me to do
that. I would actually really enjoy doing that I think. Probably and I guess it would make sense
to do that maybe like the 1st of December so everyone has lots of time to do some shopping but
it still doesn't feel like too early to do a Christmas episode you know. It could be a great
mark to December to do a Christmas episode. Let me could be a great mark to December to do a Christmas episode let me know what you guys think
if you have any ideas and yeah it's cozy season baby oh we have fireworks soon
fireworks night I enjoy that I don't know why I said that I actually am one
of them people that like fireworks make me feel nothing like my sister if
there's fireworks she's like, guys, there's
fireworks! And she has to run outside, open the back door and she films it every single
time and I just don't, I don't feel that, wow it's so pretty. Like sometimes I do. I
love like the New Year's fireworks and stuff like that, I think they're incredible. But
you know when it's like your neighbour across the street is just putting, setting up some fireworks.
I think when I did them with my friends once, that's the only time I was genuinely like
this is sick, like this is actually really fun. Like me and my friend Bri and her partner,
we did, we set off fireworks on the boat that we used to work on that was fucking fun that was so cool and it was actually really emotional and we
just had this like really lovely moment where we was like hugging and watching
our fireworks and it was really really fun so that's the only time I ever like
think wow fire was so fun and we are actually discussing maybe we should do
our own fireworks this year because I know a lot of people always do it don't
know I've only ever done that once on that instance. So yeah, I hope you guys all have an amazing week,
an amazing Halloween, stay safe,
look out for each other, look out for your friends,
drink responsibly, and yeah,
I'll see you next week for a brand new episode.
All right, I love you! Bye!
