Legal AF by MeidasTouch - Trump BLOWS IT and INCRIMINATES Himself with New Filings

Starting point is 00:00:00 This is Michael Popoak, legal A. If you think Donald Trump would have learned his lesson about taking legal advice and strategy advice from Ken Chesbro, one of the co-conspirators, attorneys, constitutional scholars self-proclaimed that's been indicted with Donald Trump in Georgia and going to trial in October. One of the things that got Donald Trump in trouble was to follow the crazy schemes related to the fake electors and using them to send to Congress and to the National Archive to get Mike Pence to recognize them or throw the entire election over to the States and let them pick Donald Trump as president. That strategy came up was was developed by Ken Chesboro, John Eastman, Peter Navarro, and all of them and implemented by Donald Trump, the campaign and all the lawyers around

Starting point is 00:00:52 the country. A handful of which who are now co-conspirator indicted defendants in Georgia. You think Donald Trump would say, you know what? Maybe I shouldn't follow Ken Chesborough round, but he is Ken Chesborough has been filing almost on a daily basis motions to dismiss Aspects of the indictment against him. He he's got about seven counts against him, including the biggest one the civil sorry the criminal Rico count and

Starting point is 00:01:22 He files about daily some sort of seven or eight or 10 page document in which he says, this count should be dismissed. Count seven, count nine, count 12, 14 and 17. And Donald Trump, like a little puppy dog, files a one line piece of paper in court that says, me too, whatever he says, I, let me make it a little more legally

Starting point is 00:01:46 professional. I, Donald J. Trump, former number 45 president here by adopt the legal arguments raised in the motion by Ken Chesborough, docket number blah, blah, blah, but it really comes down to what he says. And that's what his new lawyer, Donald Trump went out of his way to fire his old lawyer, drew little hashtag billion dollar lawyer and hired Steve Saydow, who we always thought was smarter, one of the smarter smarter than the average bear. But all Steve Saydow has been doing is taking one look at the crazy papers filed by Rudy Giuliani, Sydney Powell, Ken Chesboro, you know, what we like to refer to at LegalAF as Team Crazy and go, yeah, I'll have what he's having.

Starting point is 00:02:37 That sounds like a great idea, except it isn't a great idea. First of all, the arguments that Ken Chesperot is raising, including a new filing just today, in which he's trying to dismiss count number nine, which is the conspiracy concerning the fake electors, right? A conspiracy to impersonate an officer, a state officer, that's a fake collector. Ken Chesperot wrote, I don't really know what you're talking about on the indictment, which officer are you talking about? I'm not sure electors or officers they are. And secondly, they weren't fake, they were contingent.

Starting point is 00:03:16 And everybody knew, at least when I gave my advice, that in order for them to work, there had to be a valid pending legal challenge. And so if there's no valid pending legal challenge, these electors don't ever become electors and therefore they're not fake. Follow that argument. In order for that to work, you'd have to ignore all the facts that have been developed in part of the indictment. I don't know what Ken Chesperborough thought when he wrote his memos,

Starting point is 00:03:46 when those memos were circulated by Mark Meadows to Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell and others and Ray Smith, another lawyer indicted from Georgia that met with the fake electors and gave them guidance on this process. I don't know if he followed the facts, but team Crazy took your memos and took your fake electric strategy and decided that even without real legal challenges, valid legal challenges, having gone O for 60 all around the country, including in Georgia, in your attempt, in their attempt to prove fraud, even without it, they were like, that, listen, that never bothered anybody, the lack of a precondition or a prerequisite. Let's just send them in and see what happens.

Starting point is 00:04:31 We'll send them to the National Archive, the fake electric certificates, which look like real electric certificates except their phony. We'll send them to the federal judge, chief judge, for the Northern District of Georgia in Georgia. Why not? I mean, I don't think he's ever gotten a certificate before, but we'll send it to him. We'll send it to the, um, more importantly, to Mike Pence, sitting as the president of the Senate, so he can count them or not count them or exclude them or exclude all of them and throw it over to the, to the state houses and let them pick the president, which is what their real goal was.

Starting point is 00:05:05 This was the argument Ken Chespero made the problem with Donald Trump adopting it with his one line, I'll have what he's having. And following Ken Chespero's crazy, too smart by half constitutional analysis self, self proclaimed is that Donald Trump doesn't get past the first step in that in that presentation, because there weren't any valid legal challenges. So even his own own co-conspirator says, you never were supposed to use the fake electors. They were contingent. Only if you had a lawsuit that was pending that throughout the Biden electors, then you

Starting point is 00:05:43 go to the fake electors. Well, apparently Giuliani, Donald Trump, Sydney Powell, Jenna Ellis, Ray Smith, and the rest missed that day in law school class and missed that memo and just said, well, screw it, we've got the fake electors certificates. So not only is it inconsistent with the facts that are already developed in the indictment about how the fake electric scheme was used and how it was done serotoniously in the dark undercover of night because everybody that was doing it, all the fake electors knew it was illegal. They then we go one step further and this completely undermines Donald Trump's argument

Starting point is 00:08:13 that he could use the fake electors and use them against Mike Pence at a pressure campaign because there was what? There was no lawful legal challenge. So it completely pulls the legs out from under Donald Trump's argument. Yet Donald Trump's lawyer, Steve Sado says, I'll adopt Ken Chesboro. I'll adopt Rudy Sini Powell's arguments about the Rico conspiracy. Here's an idea from one long time practitioner 32 years to another, Mr.idow, draft your own papers. Okay. If you think the president of the United States former has a case that dismissed the indictment, put it down on paper, analyze it, research it,

Starting point is 00:09:06 show us your writing skills, show us your research skills, give Fony Willis something to respond to, but these these cowardly, pathetic and strategically dangerous adoption of team crazy's filings is going to blow up in your face like a cheap dime store cigar. And that's what's going to happen. But it, so I have to tell you, it really does both bemuse me and irritate me and confound me that Donald Trump is letting this type of lawyer and go on in these cases. File an emotion to dismiss, follow the judge's rules, get a hearing on it. I've never seen such a thing when somebody's liberty

Starting point is 00:09:58 is in jeopardy. Donald Trump better be taken this case seriously because other than Jack Smith, it's the second best way to see him behind bars. His life and liberty is in jeopardy. He's staring down the barrel of hundreds of years of a prison term in Georgia. You hire a new lawyer, pay him. Maybe that's the problem.

Starting point is 00:10:20 Pay him and maybe he'll file appropriate filings. In the meantime, all he's doing is digging your whole deeper by adopting teen crazy's arguments. I guess they're trying to show, I mean, if I listen, if I want to get inside their mind for a minute, I would say, I guess they're trying to show that Donald Trump is consistent in his profession, that in his confession, that he didn't think he was doing anything wrong. He thought the election was rigged. He relied on, he relied on these other lawyers, even though many of them, like Sidney Powell almost got disbardry, Juliannie did get this part.

Starting point is 00:10:59 Ken Chesboro, I'm sure would likely be the spark. John Eastman is about to be this part, even though he relied on this law firm that's now comprised of a lot of disbarred and or suspended lawyers. That's a great advertising campaign. But he's continuing to do it because he really believes it.

Starting point is 00:11:20 I'm gonna triple down on it. I thought that they were legitimate and giving me good advice then. And I think they're giving good advice now. And I'm going to follow it. I mean that if that's where they're going with this, um, fire your lawyers in higher new ones because this is walking malpractice. I know people get upset on the hot takes like popok or better Gary don't give them advice as if as if they're going to fall as if they watch this channel they should and watch our hot takes on law and politics and would follow our advice Donald I don't know if you've noticed but

Starting point is 00:11:59 Donald Trump hires lawyers to purposely do his bidding and he is the chief strategist and tactician for his own cases, just like he is the ringmaster for the entire conspiracy, right? He is the hub of the wheel of the conspiracy of which all the spokes are connected. And that's what we're watching. A lot of bad loyering, a lot of poor loyering, a lot of weird judging that we're bringing to light on a regular basis. I sit on some valuable real estate for the Midas Touch Network.
