This is Michael Popak, Legal AF.
Did Donald Trump just seal his electoral chances shut in Pennsylvania at his
racist rally in Madison Square Garden yesterday by allowing speaker after
speaker, including the first kickoff comedian to go after and attack the
proud Latin community, the Puerto Rican American community, disparage them,
defame them at a moment where in Pennsylvania, for instance, which is critical, he can't win the
election without Pennsylvania, where there's 600,000 Latin voters, 53% of them of Puerto
Rican descent. How do you think they woke up this morning after seeing Kill Tony,
a right-wing podcast comedian, I guess that's what he calls himself, go after the Kill Tony, a right-wing podcast comedian,
I guess that's what he calls himself,
go after the Latin community.
A community in Pennsylvania that has doubled since 2000,
that is now voting in larger numbers than ever before,
and will ultimately be the swing vote now in Pennsylvania,
because Donald Trump just put them in play
by attacking them.
Here's what Kill Tony podcaster had to say
about the Puerto Rican community in his standup
during the beginning of the Madison Square Garden
racist event.
Let's play it.
It is absolutely wild times. It really, really is. And you know,
there's a lot going on. Like, I don't know if you guys know this, but there's literally a floating
island of garbage in the middle of the ocean right now. Yeah. I think it's called Puerto Rico.
Okay. All right. Okay. We're getting there. Again, normally I don't follow the national anthem,
everybody. This is exactly a perfect comedy set up. There's some people here. All right. Very
good. It's absolutely wild to see. And in Texas, stuff is really, really crazy. We're right there
by a wide open border. Where are my proud Latinos at tonight? You guys see what I mean? It's wide open. There's so many
of them. It's absolutely incredible. Believe it or not, people, I welcome migrants to the
United States of America with open arms. And by open arms I mean like this. It's wild.
And these Latinos, they love making babies too. Just know that. They do. They do. There's
no pulling out. They don't do that. They come inside just like they did to our country.
Republicans are the party with a good sense of humor.
Now that stood on the shoulders of Donald Trump earlier in the week calling America
a garbage can.
That it was a garbage can for the rest of the world to pour their, I don't know, fill in the blank into.
The fact that there is a candidate for office
that's running for president of the United States
to be the holder of the torch of freedom
and be the leader of the free world
who believes our country is garbage
and people within it and citizens of this country
are garbage, that should be that should be resonating
in people's minds as they early vote today and as they go to the polls on
through Election Day. And so obviously Donald Trump doesn't understand math. He
has no appropriate or adult pollsters around him to tell them that maybe it's
not a good thing to go after the Puerto Rican community and the Latin community and to fame and disparage them and disenfranchise them during your racist
rally.
Let me just give you the numbers in Pennsylvania so you know what I'm talking about.
And then I'm going to tell you what Kamala Harris has done almost at the exact same moment
in order to earn the vote of the Hispanic and Puerto Rican community and respect them. And I mean, it just shows you the split screen between the two campaigns.
I mean, while Donald Trump is allowing speaker after speaker to comment about,
and I'm not making this up, I'm just not going to show the clip.
One speaker said, this Kill Tony guy in the beginning, the opening act,
said that the problem with Hispanics is that they make so many babies
because they don't practice proper birth control.
And that floating pile of garbage
in the middle of the ocean is Puerto Rico.
Those are fellow Americans, my friend.
Those are fellow Americans.
Let me get to the stats,
and then I'll take you back to what Kamala did,
almost at the same time with her influencers, her people supporting her campaign, who have over 315
million followers in Bad Bunny, JLo, and Ricky Martin.
I'll leave that for a moment.
Let me give you the stats first.
Here's the stats.
There are 580,000 eligible Latin voters Americans in Pennsylvania. 53.4% are Puerto Rican.
Okay. That vote has doubled. The Latin vote in Pennsylvania has doubled since 2000. This is a
state that Joe Biden won by 81,000 votes. Not insubstantial. Gotta win it again. Electoral votes for Pennsylvania have been reduced
since the last election down to 19
because of a loss in population,
making the Latin vote even larger
as a percentage of the population, overall population.
Now, you have nationwide 17 million Latinos
and Latinas will go to the polls on election day.
17 million.
That's up 6% since 2020.
It's up 40% since 2016, since Donald Trump last ran and won.
So since he last ran and won, the Hispanic community is up 40%.
And he's decided that the opening act at his racist rally, right,
which is probably the up there with the 1939 American Nazi party rally,
also in Madison Square Garden, one of my homes,
that he thought that was a good idea to go attack this group of people, right?
Victimize them on a national stage. There's only one reason Donald Trump,
just to answer the question, I've heard asked of me because they know I live and
work in Manhattan and I have for years and grew up around this area. Why did
Donald Trump go to Madison Square Garden? He's never gonna win New York City. He
lost it by, I don't know, 85 points the last time.
He lost the state by 12 points. He's never going to win New York. Why is he going to Long Island?
Why is he going to Madison Square Garden? Why is he going to a bodega up in Harlem,
in Spanish Harlem in New York? Because he knows he can get the maximum media attention because
New York is one of the media capitals of the world. Right? Every major news station, every major media entity
has an office or their headquarters in New York
within blocks of Madison Square Garden on 7th Avenue.
And so he knew that for a relatively,
he's free riding again, for a relatively cheap investment,
he grifted his way to pay the money
to rent out Madison Square Garden,
filled by
the way, if you saw everybody on the stage that went on for hours and hours, it was about
99% white guys.
That's the party for the Republican Party.
That's who's asking for and trying to earn women's votes, Hispanic votes, black votes,
all white guys, white dudes making racist comments like kill Tony from the stage,
one after another, after another, after another, including somebody I used to work for.
That was embarrassing. But we'll put that aside for a minute.
Whose great idea was it? Which of the campaign managers? Susie Wiles, Chris LaCevita, who's
getting paid $22 million.
Who came up with the idea, it's a good idea,
and off the jump to attack the Latin community
while Pennsylvania is in play, and 600,000 voters,
half of which are Puerto Rican descent, are in Pennsylvania.
I know they don't care about Puerto you know, Puerto Rico as an entity.
They never have.
Donald Trump, what's his big contribution?
Throwing paper towels at them after a hurricane, after saying it wasn't so bad for you there,
not that many people died.
He battled with the female mayor of San Juan, you know, forever during the hurricane problems
that he ignored.
And so you got the split screen.
While he and his racist henchmen are attacking the proud Latin and Puerto Rican community,
right, in a country, again, where 17 million or more Latins are going to go to the polls
or have already started to go to the polls in this country,
making them a huge block that you need to win
if you're going to be president of all the people.

is killing Donald Trump's campaign in Pennsylvania, Kamala Harris, sorry, appearing with J. Lo,
Bad Buddy and Ricky Martin were at Freddie and Tony's restaurant,
a very famous spot, especially for politicians, Puerto Rican restaurant in Pennsylvania.
Let's roll a clip of that.
That was going on at the almost exact same time as the rally in Madison Square Garden.
Talk about counter-programming, an exquisite example of the counter-punching successfully
of Kamala Harris. Let's roll the clip.
I've been to Puerto Rico right after Maria, for example. This is not a new area of focus for me.
In fact, my team will tell you that even when I was in the Senate, knowing Puerto Rico doesn't have
a senator, I always felt a need and an obligation to do what I could as a senator to make sure that
Puerto Rico's needs were met.
And I have some work that I did during the Senate years
that is in furtherance of that.
But this morning I announced what we're gonna,
so my whole economic plan,
whether it be around affordable housing,
getting families a child tax credit,
supporting our small businesses,
I call it an opportunity economy
in terms of the vision,
about giving people access to opportunity,
knowing that the people in all communities,
in our community, they want, yes, a job,
but they wanna be able to build wealth.
They wanna be able to build into generational wealth.
Home ownership, small business, small business growth.
So I call it an opportunity economy.
The thing I mentioned this morning is I'm going to create basically an opportunity economy task force for Puerto Rico.
And specifically focused on two things.
One, bringing the private sector with nonprofits, with the Puerto Rican leadership around,
and the federal government around focusing
on what we need to do around building economic opportunity
on the island as an extension of the overall plan
for an opportunity economy.
Again, homeownership, small business, all of that.
But the second piece of it specifically,
and this is something I saw from the times
that I've been there to examine what we need need to do better is the electrical grid, right?
Yes.
And so focusing specifically on what we need to do to bring resources and to attract investment
to finally deal with that grid.
Who do you want to vote for?
I mean, for those that are still on the fence, I don't know what we're down to at this point. You want this neo-Nazi rally, which everyone is comparing it. And I did a prior hot take on
this to the 1939 famous infamous rally of Nazis and German Americans and Germans in Madison Square
Garden. You want that? I know everybody, it's like a chuckle fest at these rallies
when Donald Trump attacks Kamala Harris's ethnicity.
Tucker Carlson said she'll be the first, I don't know,
Samoan Malaysian low IQ prosecutor to ever be president.
I mean, something like that.
It's always these white guys telling the jokes
up on the stage that they used to tell in the locker rooms,
a private racist members only segregationist golf courses
and golf clubs.
Now they just in country clubs.
Now they just say it out loud.
And then at these chuckle fests,
it's always about, you know, going after people.
And people in the audience that laugh back at it, they don't
seem to realize the irony that one day that could be you.
Well, you know, somebody saying, well, I'm Irish descent, I'm Italian descent, well,
I'm this or, yeah, that's because Donald Trump hasn't gotten around to attacking you yet.
One day they'll come for you as well.
An out of control guy who's running for president with fascist and dictator tendencies,
not even tendencies, plans that he plans on executing.
You're not safe.
You're not safe in that country just because he's not currently going after you or threatening
to put you in a concentration camp.
That's coming.
And you know, listen, from the perspective of who you should listen to, I love these
people that form, you should form your own opinion, but you do it on major data.
That's important.
We got three major members of the military or led the military who were hired by Donald Trump, who have all
come out and said that Donald Trump is a fascist and a dictator and it is a threat to our democracy.
Three, not one, General John Kelly, General Mark Milley, Mark Esper, former head of the
Department of Defense, all under Donald Trump, have all come forward
and said, we worked for the guy. We observed it. I know all you, rest of you
people, you chuckleheads who think it's funny, we had a whole group of people
run by my neighborhood with big Trump flags in their pickup trucks
and their pick-me-up trucks. But these are the people that worked with Donald
Trump, that were in the inner circle,
that breathed the same air, that poured water out of the same pitcher in the conference
room.
Right?
And they're telling America that they're scared.
And if Mark Milley, former general, joint chiefs of staff, four-star general Mark Kelly,
who was, sorry, John Kelly, who was the chief of staff for Donald Trumpstar general Mark Kelly, who was, sorry, John Kelly, who was the
chief of staff for Donald Trump, and Mark Esper, who was the last, one of the last
heads of the Department of Defense, tell you that he is a fascist and shouldn't
get anywhere near the White House? You got to listen. Instead of listening to
whatever that just was for four or five hours in Madison Square Garden.
Where I assume if we hold his feet to the fire, Donald Trump just killed his electoral
chances in Pennsylvania.
Now let's be frank.
If, I'm going to end my hot take this way, with the path to greatness, the path to glory,
the path to rewrite this story and the ending. Okay? Kamala
wins, Kamala Harris and Tim Walz win, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan
game over. They've won the presidency. She's won the presidency. I mean,
there's other ways to do it, but the clearest path, the easiest path, the bluest wall, is Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan.
Now, I'd love to throw in Arizona,
I'd love to throw in Nevada, I'd love to throw in Georgia.
Those are extras, okay?
This is pass-fail at this point.
Sure, I want to crush MAGA.
Sure, I want her to get 300 plus electoral votes.
I'd like 400 plus electoral votes. You know, it's possible. If she ran the table on all
the places where it's a toss up or we're blue leading, she'd have a lot of votes and she'd
crush MAGA for now. But it's pass fail. Just give me 270. Pennsylvania, we're looking at
you. Right? The eyes of America are looking at Pennsylvania,
Wisconsin, and Michigan. Those poll results start coming in Tuesday night, Wednesday morning,
declaring Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan for Kamala Harris. We have a Madam President-elect
Kamala Harris. Rest of the states do. I mean, I'm not giving up on Georgia. I'm not giving up on North Carolina.
I'm not giving up on Nevada and Arizona, right, the other likely places.
And if she runs that table, that's the message that we're sending as Americans, that this
is not what we just saw, parading up on the stage at Madison Square Garden, is not our
America.
It's an America of values, of patriotism, where you don't attack your fellow citizen,
you reach out and give them a helping hand.
I don't attack, I've been to Puerto Rico a number of times.
My parents had a honeymoon in Puerto Rico,
and it's a beautiful, beautiful island
who is American and is America and loves America.
Right?
And it has been hit terribly.
While Donald Trump is attacking them and calling them garbage, and the rest of America garbage,
Kamala Harris presents a plan for Puerto Ricans on how to rebuild their infrastructure, how
to rebuild their power grid, how to invest in local business in Puerto Rico,
strengthen their health care, because they are a group that suffered and never
fully recovered from the hurricanes from five, six years ago. That's leadership.
That's judgment. That's character. That's the person you want to hold the torch of
freedom and represent America and the American brand around
the world. Her name is Kamala Harris. And I'm Michael Popak. I'm reporting here on Legal AF
and on the Midas Touch Network. So until my next report, my next podcast, my next exclusive content
