Legal AF by MeidasTouch - Trump Gets Publicly Humiliated as World Rebukes Him

Episode Date: October 10, 2026

Popok reports on another failed social media campaign by Trump to "win" the Nobel Peace Prize (no surprise considering he is threatening genocide against Iran and has 3 of his "peace successes" still ...waging war), but an amazing public humiliation of Trump by the winner! Starting point is 00:00:22 free of charge. BetMGM operates pursuant to an operating agreement with Eye Gaming, Ontario. This should not come as any shock. but it is heartwarming. Donald Trump has not won the Nobel Peace Prize. He got passed over yet again. I'm not even sure he was on the list of 287 people that they considered. Instead, Navi Palais, who had been a, who's a black civil rights lawyer and human rights lawyer from South Africa,
Starting point is 00:00:52 that first gained a claim under Nelson Mandela about the opposing apartheid, later became the U.N. High Commissioner on human rights also was part of a committee that looked at what's happening between Israel and Hamas in Gaza and labeled it a genocide. She also has been on the International Criminal Court. She was there for about nine years. And of course, we now know that Donald Trump's response to Navi Palais and her clapback moment, I brought the receipt, get ready for what she had to say upon learning that she won about Donald Trump. His response, besides campaigning in the last 48 hours, because he's settled eight wars,
Starting point is 00:01:40 his response was to have Marco Rubio, the Secretary of State of the United States, who frankly should be prosecuted by the International Criminal Court, have him declare that there would be major sanctions against the ICC and put them on a blacklist, which means that anybody that does business with the ICC is going to have other sanctions against them. That's his response, his knee-jerk response to losing out again on the Nobel Peace Prize.
Starting point is 00:02:08 I'm Michael Popak. Let's kick off Saturday morning with this new reporting. Now, you may remember that last year, Donald Trump lost the Nobel Peace Prize also and made the same claim. I settled eight wars. The problem, as the chair of the Nobel Peace Prize, he said is, we like our Peace Prize winners when they're not waging war around the country. Now, Donald Trump has this weird count. He does weird new math about these eight different confrontations that he has stopped.
Starting point is 00:02:42 Most of them, either they were already in the process of being resolved and he took credit for it. You know, they were one inch away from the finish line like maybe Indian Pakistan or others that have flared back up and aren't settled at all, like in the Republic of Congo. What about Israel and Gaza? What about Russia and Ukraine? And what about the new war he started a year ago in Iran? Has a Nobel Peace Prize winner ever been simultaneously conducting a war and has threatened genocide against an entire group of people in terms of the 90 million Iranians?
Starting point is 00:03:20 I don't think so. So the only one that I think woke up shocked that he didn't win was Donald Trump. And why he campaigns for it when you know you can't campaign for it, I have no idea. Last year when he squeezed the opposition leader in Venezuela, Marina Karina Machado, to have her fork over her peace prize. She thought it was a quid pro quo. She thought giving him the peace prize. And we've got a video clip, we'll play in a minute, was going to get her something.
Starting point is 00:03:52 Like install her as the head of the Venezuelan government. She had been the government in exile, the president in exile. She's the people's choice. But we're now over a year after the invasion into Venezuela, another black mark against his resume for the Nobel Peace Prize. And he still has Delci Rodriguez, who is the number two to Maduro, the strongman dictator of Venezuela, who's in New York where I'm at today awaiting trial with his wife.
Starting point is 00:04:22 You know, his number two is still in charge because she was willing to sign over all the Venezuelan oil fields and businesses, that Donald Trump's hand-picked companies and entities that benefit Donald Trump and his family. But who should be in charge is Marina Karina Machado. She gave over her medal. Here's a clip. I presented the president of the United States, the medal,
Starting point is 00:04:47 of the Nobel Peace Prize. And I told him this. Listen to this. 200 years ago, General Lafayette gave Simon Bolivar a medal with George Washington face on it. Bolivar since then kept that medal for the rest of his life. Actually, when you see his portraits, you can see the medal there. And it was given by General Lafayette as a sign of the brotherhood. between the United States, people of United States and the people of Venezuela in their fight for freedom against tyranny.
Starting point is 00:05:31 And 200 years in history, the people of Bolivar are giving back to the hair of Washington a medal, in this case a medal of a Nobel Peace Prize. But what did she get in return? Nothing. She's still in exile. So that led to my favorite clapback moment, literally, of the week, when Navi Palais in front of her colleagues, in being told that she's now the winner of the Nobel Peace Prize awarded to her, and she'll be going to Norway to pick it up in December. Here's what she had to say about Donald Trump. Play the clip. They share the prize with Trump. Is that not like the ultimate clapback?
Starting point is 00:07:06 moment. If you clap harder, maybe I'll give it to Donald Trump. No, you're not going to do that. So Donald Trump's reaction to all this was to both attack the Nobel Peace Prize winner, saying that she is anti-Semitic and that she's a bigot and she's a racist. Okay, first of all, she's a black civil and human rights lawyer. She was the first black woman to ever have a law practice in her province or wherever she lived in South Africa, pointed by Mandela. She made her up through dismantling apartheid, you know, race separation and all the structures around that in South Africa, then leapt over to the United Nations, where she served on various committees, became the high commissioner of human rights, ended up on that panel that found that Israel has committed
Starting point is 00:07:54 genocide, which, of course, Donald Trump doesn't like, calling effectively Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel a war criminal, which the international criminal court is looking into. And this is the reason Donald Trump try to tear down her body of work and her character. But she has worked a lifetime as a human rights advocate. And this is why, you know, in the category of, let's say, international justice and human rights, she was a very good choice there at 85 years old, especially. And no, no amount of berating, you know, he's not going to be able to have a meeting with Navi and have her turn over the metal.
Starting point is 00:08:33 I think that is pretty obvious. of the Trump administration to announce as soon as he lost. I mean, laws suggest he was in the running, but he wasn't chosen to have Marco Rubio declare that they're going to not only have, not only have we not agreed to ever participate in the international criminal court. And that includes Democratic presidents as well. Obama didn't sign up for it either. Clinton didn't sign up for it. Carter didn't sign up for it. We've never been a willing participant in the international criminal court. They, you know, it's the rest of the countries evaluate facts and law and determine whether there's been a violation of international law or not. And they issue out arrest warrants. There's an
Starting point is 00:09:17 arrest warrant out right now for the International Criminal Court against Benjamin Netanyahu. That's why Mayor Bandami called for his arrest to have that arrest warrant recognized when Netanyahu went to the UN General Assembly when it opened up in September here in New York. York. But we're going to continue to follow. This is not going to be the last we heard. What I'd like to see is a proper analysis. I mean, I know America and Americans don't like to subject themselves to international law. They like to make their own law. You know, we're only in the UN and fund a lot of the UN because we want to make sure the UN doesn't screw anything up for our own interests. And we want to have the veto power as one of the superpowers in the United Nations, which we helped found.
Starting point is 00:10:03 But we've never wanted to be subjected to international treaties or international law, the Geneva Conventions, the International Criminal Court. I think we need to evaluate that. Maybe the next president. I'm not saying it's a good thing or a bad thing. I think there needs to be more study about whether we need in order to rejoin the world order after Donald Trump's tenure is over, whether we need to join the International Criminal Court and support it or not.
