Just three weeks ago, Donald Trump and his transition team were crowing about their victory.
We don't need background checks.
We don't need any stinking background checks for our cabinet picks.
Tulsi Gabbard even went as far as to say, we would never let the FBI in.
They're just going to be moles and we're never going to tell them what we're going to do
in transition, violating the law of presidential transition.
How's that going for you, Trump transition team,
with Pete Hegseth's defense secretary nomination
hanging in the balance.
It'll be cooked toast, it's done,
probably be pulled later today.
That makes two cabinet picks done
because of the fact that they didn't allow the FBI to do a
background check. Now we got new reporting they finally decide in the
last 24 hours maybe we should have the FBI do a background check so maybe we
should sign the mandated required by law by Congress agreements to have background
checks done on Michael Popak, Euron Legal AF and the Midas Touch Network. I'm Michael Popock, you're on Legal AF and the Midas Touch Network. I'm going to pull this whole thing together.
As soon as I read, oh, after four weeks, they're finally signing with one month to go before
the new Congress comes in, the required agreements to let the Department of Justice and the FBI
do background checks, give them top secret security clearances, uh, and also do briefings to
allow for a smooth transition.
This is all I said, this is all a ruse.
This is because they can't save Hegseth.
They're pissed off at Pete Hegseth for lying to them, the transition team
about the sexual assault allegation, the rape allegation that he had in 2017.
His failure to disclose he had a copy of the police report in his back pocket for
the last three years, kind of left a copy of the police report in his back pocket for the last
three years kind of left that out of the transition team.
And now we go from the FBI is evil.
The FBI needs to be hollowed out.
Cash Patel is going to put it in mothballs and make the FBI headquarters a museum.
They're terrible.
The Biden FBI can't be trusted.
Now we have, we need to have the FBI do background checks. Right? Because all of your
candidates are dying a slow death because you're letting the media and Midas Touch and Legal AF
do the background check for you. Okay? Suzy Wiles, who is allegedly brought in to be the
chief of staff for Donald Trump because she's the adult in the room, she must be pulling what's left
of her hair out. This is all backing up on her.
This is all of these failed nominations.
Gates for Attorney General,
now Hegseth for Department of Defense,
soon to be Tulsi Gabbard, RFK Jr.
I mean, if they get half their cabinet through,
I'd be shocked.
This is all the fault of the transition chairs
led by RFK Jr., Tulsi Gabbard, Howard Lutnick, who's
now commerce nominee, and Linda McMahon, who's now education cabinet nominee.
It's their fault.
And Susie Wiles, the chief of staff nominee.
They're supposed to be doing the vetting.
They're the ones that made decisions.
Susie Wiles said infamously now three weeks ago, we don't need to do the FBI.
We have our own investigators. Yeah, how's that going for you? You learn it when we learn it. You
learn it when we report it, apparently. And so now when I read, oh, then now they're signing
the last agreement for the FBI. It's obvious. This way they can put up all the MAGA sweetheart
favorites. And then when they all get shot down one at a time,
like you're in some sort of boardwalk arcade,
you pick up one of those little air rifles,
you know, the wind a cupid all,
you know, like Hegseth, you know, Gates, okay.
They can blame Joe Biden.
Why not?
Joe Biden's going out of business anyway.
They're like, well, we wanted Matt Gates.
We wanted Pete Hegseth.
We wanted Tulsi and R.F.K. Jr.
But the mean FBI, aw, Joe Biden's FBI did it.
Yeah, okay, who's buying that?
How about you're an incompetent transition team
that doesn't deserve to be in the White House
or anywhere near it?
How about that?
You're supposed to judge the future potential president by how he runs his campaign.
I know he beat Kamala Harris, but the rest of the campaign just lurched from crazy to insanity to
conspiracy theories to anti-woman misogyny, anti-immigrant, every day, every way. Terribly
run. Run is not even the right word.
They just bought an election with Elon Musk's money.
And you're supposed to watch how they're doing
in the transition team.
I remember when Bill Clinton would stand there
with his amazing cabinet, one shinier and more talented
and more competent than the next,
standing in a row, holding hands. I was like,
oh, I feel good about what's going on here. Our enemies should feel good about or feel terrible
that this really strong cabinet is coming in with the president. How about what's going on with
Donald Trump? I was out last night for dinner with some friends who kind of leaned the other way,
I mean, politically. And they were like, even they weren't defending the picks. I looked at
them I said how can you defend this process or these picks these are you
know these are smart people they're like you know they look down at their
they look down at their shoes you know we really know we didn't those Matt yeah
you're right Matt Gaetz that's not a good one no no no Pete Hexeth no no no
that's terrible like stop mumbling speak up speak up they're terrible He's doing a terrible transition job. In addition to doing a terrible transition
job, it is already the most corrupt president-elect we've ever had. I'm gonna
do another hot take about about 14 million dollars that Donald Trump earned,
put in his pocket while he was president, which he's not supposed to do under the
emoluments clause of our Constitution.
And his failure to sign all of these agreements to allow for the transition, there's no ethics code. There's no ethics plan to solve the ethical and financial conflicts of the people that he's
placing in the cabinet. How is Howard Lutnick going to unwind all of his business operations
and his cryptocurrency relationships and personal investments
in order to be our commerce secretary.
How's Elon Musk gonna unwind anything
considering he is a defense contractor,
gets billions of dollars from the US government
and stands to benefit when he makes recommendations
to get rid of regulators
to allow his own companies to benefit. Where is the required ethics plan to resolve these issues for Donald Trump
and his family? Nowhere. That's why I can safely and with confidence say out loud
they're the most corrupt incoming presidential administration we've ever
had. Shouldn't surprise you, he was the most corrupt president we ever had. Why is anybody shocked by this?
We've talked previously about how much of your personal data
is out there on the internet for anyone to see.
Your name, contact info,
social security number, and home address.
Even information about your family members,
all being compiled by data brokers and sold online.
As a person who exists publicly,
especially as someone who shares my opinions online,
I am hyper aware of safety and security.
And privacy matters more than ever.
It's easier than ever to find personal information
about people online.
All this data hanging out there on the internet
can have actual consequences in the real world.
That's why I decided to give a delete me subscription to my wife. Now look, my wife is the handyman in the
family. It does so many things beautifully, but tech is not one of them. And I worry about her
online presence, especially given my work in the media. Giving her a Delete Me subscription made
her happy and let me relax. It was the perfect gift. And once I gave it to her, she started
using it. And then she realized how insecure she was before and how protected and proactive
she felt now. It empowered her. That's why I personally recommend Delete Me. Delete Me
is a subscription service that removes your personal info from hundreds of data brokers.
Sign up and provide Delete Me with exactly what information you want deleted,
and their experts take it from there.
DeleteMe isn't just a one-time service.
DeleteMe is always working for you,
constantly monitoring and removing the personal information
you don't want on the internet.
To put it simply, DeleteMe does all the hard work
of wiping your
and your family's personal information from data broker websites. Take control of your data and
keep your private life private by signing up for DeleteMe. Now at a special discount for our
listeners and their loved ones. Today, get 20% off your DeleteMe plan when you go to joindeleteeme.com slash Legal AF and use promo

And this ruse that I'm calling out here about the FBI doing their job, like, well,
that's because all the senators, even the Republican senators were saying, we need an FBI report on
each of these candidates or something pretty darn close to it being prepared. I called two weeks ago
for Joe Biden to have the FBI do these background checks and deliver them to
the American people.
Now, they didn't take me up on that offer, and now we had to wait around for Donald Trump.
I also had my thought that Donald Trump made a mistake.
He's made a lot of mistakes.
One of them was naming his cabinet so early and then refusing to have background checks
by having them out there for a month and then having enough time for the media
to train their focus and dig on dirt
and do op research about each of these people,
they left Midas Touch and legally have too much time
on the clock before the Jan 3rd new Congress comes in.
You know, we could dig it up.
How hard was it gonna be? You just scratched the surface on it up. How hard was it going to be, just
scratch the surface on these people. How hard was it going to be to see that Linda McMahon,
running an organization, the World Wrestling Federation, which is basically anti-children
and terrible for their morals, maybe, and is being sued for having allowed a sexual
predator to groom boys for sex while she ran the organization, maybe shouldn't be the head
of the Department of Education and our nation's youth. Maybe. Maybe Elon Musk, who's got billions
of dollars of government contracts, shouldn't be the one deciding which government regulators
that he hates because they regulate his contracts, should live or die. Maybe they shouldn't do that.
because they regulate his contracts, should live or die. Maybe they shouldn't do that, right?
Maybe they shouldn't put an admitted drug addict,
or I'm sorry, former heroin addict,
let me get the phrase right,
RFK Jr. in charge of health and human services
when he doesn't believe in childhood vaccines
or really much else around science.
How about that?
And now they're gonna use at the last minute,
well, we did sign all of our agreements, not quite.
I know the reporting is FBI gets agreements signed
with the Department of Justice FBI
with the Trump transition team.
That's not the reporting, that's why I'm here.
I don't know why I'm so excited this morning.
I think it's the coffee.
That's not the reporting.
The reporting is they still haven't signed the ethics agreement or filed the ethics plan
and they have no intention of doing that.
People are like, I wonder how all of these people are going to divest themselves of their
businesses that have business in front of the government.
They're not.
Wake up. They're not going to put things in blind
trust. They're not going to divest. Donald Trump's not going to make them. We're going
to have to go to court to make them or to disclose it. And we're going to have a whole
constitutional crisis. Get ready. This entire presidency is going to be lurching from one
constitutional crisis to another about the separation of
powers and the checks and balances that we can have on the presidency. That's all. Thank
God we've, I told my partners I might as touch, thank God we formed Legal AF, the YouTube
channel about a month or two before the election. You know, we have plenty to talk about, trust
me. I'm just counting down the days to January 3rd and January 20th when the new presidency comes in, right?
That's also the starting, that's, you know,
if you're doing a race, an F1 race, you know,
that's the green flag, man,
for the lawsuits that are gonna be filed.
And Donald Trump, who learned a bad lesson
from the immunity decision over the summer,
that he's all powerful, he's omnipotent.
And he's gonna test it
and we're gonna have to test it for him.
So now of course, it was a shocked
when they finally said who could be the fall guy
for all these without us taking responsibility
for all these failed cabinet picks.
Oh, Joe Biden's FBI, That's what Trump's thinking.
We'll pin it on Joe. He's out the door anyway. He's got his back turned. Just pin the tail on him.
That's why I, just to end it here on the hot take, that's why I have absolutely no problem
with any of the pardons that Joe Biden is considering or will issue. None. Protect everyone.
is considering or will issue, none. Protect everyone.
Get everyone behind the firewall
of a protection of your pardon.
Federal prosecutors, FBI, state prosecutors, judges,
anyone who touched anything with Trump's name as a defendant,
give them protection and their staff around it
in addition to your son, Jack Smith, Merrick Garland, all the judges,
Letitia James, do it all.
Got one shot, one last superpower, make it happen.
Michael Cohen, I've asked for that.
Get that guy protected.
He's a wreck.
Get him protected with a pardon.
I'll continue to follow it all.
Right here on Midas Touch and the Legal AF.
