This is Michael Popak, Legal AF Houston. We have a problem. There's no other way for me to put this in new secret leaked documents from Donald Trump's transition team, listing his choice for attorney general and the heads of the other legal departments and FBI. At the top of the list is Judge Aileen Cannon, the judge, the Federalist Society member, the right wwinger down in Florida who just recently dismissed the 40 counts, felony counts against him in the Mar-a-Lago case,

now setting herself up to be rewarded with the Attorney General position where she's listed at least at the number two on a list of rankings. Additional reporting by ABC News who got their hands on the leaked transition document, the transition planning legal principles, PLES, meaning the people that are going to be heading the various departments in a legal capacity, have heard number two under Jay Clayton, the former Securities and Exchange Commission, SEC chairman, puppet chairman, under Donald Trump the last time around. I'll talk about Jay Clayton next and the link between him and the transition team.

But here's the reporting. Think about this. The two names that are at the top top of the list for attorney general and deputy attorney general are the judge who just dismissed the case against Donald Trump while there's still a pending appeal concerning that, and Donald Trump's own criminal defense lawyer, Todd Blanch, who's listed as the deputy attorney general who would be answering to Aileen Cannon. Think of the perversity of this.

The judge who was just presiding over the case in which the criminal defendant in front of her has now put her on a list to make her attorney general the top job, law job in America. And who would be reporting to her? His criminal defense lawyer, Todd Blanch. If this is not grounds, I'm just going to be very clear right here, this should lead to the automatic recusal and reassignment from Judge Cannon by the 11th Circuit. The 11th Circuit, her bosses, who have this appeal about overturning the decision by Aileen Cannon, who is the first person in 200 years of federal and jurisprudential constitutional history to ever find as a judge

that the special counsel was improperly appointed or is not properly appointed under Article 2 of the Constitution, when they reversed her decision and reinstate that indictment, assuming that Donald Trump doesn't get back to the White House, they need to immediately remove her and reassign her from the case. In fact, they need to do that now. And Jack, and this is a call out to Jack Smith before I get to all the other names, all vetted apparently by Boris Epstein, one of the unindicted co-conspirators in the DC election interference case, the fixer and consulier for Donald Trump, that sweaty guy in the three-piece suit that's

always lurking in the background of every arraignment, right? He's the one that took over from Michael Cohen. He apparently helped vet this list and put this list together. Now there's a whole nother list of federal judges and Supreme Court candidates. This is just the one about the lawyers. And so Boris Epstein put her name on this list. And now the 11th Circuit should immediately issue an order

like this week, disqualifying her, removing her from the case. Because the appearance of impropriety is so great, the odor is so great of corruption, that the American people will never have faith in our criminal justice system if that doesn't happen immediately. And I've got a message to the extent that he's a follower, a listener of Legal AF and the Midas Touch Network to Jack Smith, the special counsel. Drop the gloves. It is time for sharp elbowed practice. It is time for a ruthless adherence to the law. And it's time for you to file a paper to make that request directly to the 11th Circuit and have her removed. I mean, the lawyers, the public defenders that are

representing the guy that had the gun sticking out of the bush at the golf course who got assigned Judge Cannon, they moved to disqualify her. They found that she was biased. Jack Smith, file a paper with the 11th Circuit immediately saying that based on reporting and this leaked a presidential transition memo, it looks like your judge just got herself a plum assignment of being ultimately your boss and could fire you because that's what's going to happen here. Think about the perversity of this. Aileen Cannon, who got a love letter directly from Clarence Thomas in a concurring opinion telling her what to do, and she did it, which was,

find that the special counsel was an invalid exercise of Article 2 constitutional power in both the appointment and in his funding. Despite dozens of federal judges in the US Supreme Court in Nixon versus the United States in 1974 finding that special prosecutors were appropriate, an appropriate delegation of inferior office authority. Now think of this perversity. You've got Aileen Cannon, who just dismissed the case, being now rewarded and getting the attorney general position and the first order of business on day one

after she's the attorney general and she's sworn in and confirmed, which might take a minute given her status in the Senate especially if the Democrats get the Senate because they need to confirm these positions if she gets through the confirmation process. So shout out to the Democrats and the voters make sure that there is a adult in the room with the Democrats on the Senate side, but if she gets confirmed, first order of business, fire Jack Smith the special counsel on behalf of Donald Trump and then he'll pardon everybody. Assuming this case doesn't get tried before. So blockbuster news, Aileen Cannon with deputy general counsel Todd Blanch,

Donald Trump's criminal defense lawyer, getting his plum assignment, which is what he's always wanted. The reporting from earlier in the summer is that the reason Todd Blanch left his plummy, plummy white shoe firm job and went out on his own with his only client being Donald Trump, was that if he won, he gambled and he won,

he'd get a job in the cabinet, like attorney general or deputy attorney general. Now, if it's not Aileen Cannon, think about this parade of horribles, this rogues gallery. Jeff Clark, he's on the list. Jeff Clark was the last man standing, the last attorney general standing to do Donald Trump's bidding. He was willing to overthrow democracy and use the Insurrection Act and martial law to crush dissent in the streets. And if you think I'm making it up, Cash Patel just in the last two days, who's rumored to be Donald Trump's CIA director, said the first order of business, first thing they're going to do is going to put members of the media in gulags, in concentration camps, arrest

them, and people that are formerly in the government. Okay? So you got that going on. That Jeff Clark. logs in concentration camps, arrest them and people that are formally in the government. So you got that going on, that Jeff Clark. Then if it's not Jeff Clark, the other person is Jay Clayton. I told you to put a pin on him in the beginning. I got a little bit of background with Jay Clayton because I did some work on Wall Street back in my prior life on the lawyer side. Jay Clayton is, how can I put this nicely? He's all hat and no cattle. Is that the right phrase? He's all suit. He's an empty suit.

He's considered a puppet. And he was a puppet director or chairperson of the SEC under Donald Trump. Did all of Donald Trump's bidding. Nobody on Wall Street was scared of Jay Clayton. Let me just put it that way. Don't forget that the co-head of the transition team for Donald Trump is a person who considers himself a titan of Wall Street, who has experience with Jay Clayton, including on the golf course, I would imagine. You have that going on. You got Jay Clayton,

who did the bidding for Donald Trump the first time around, and now, and now, he's being considered to be the attorney general. The guy was barely qualified to be the SEC director, the chairman. And now he's going to be the attorney general for Donald Trump. So, and wait I'm not done, and I'm not done. Remember Stan Woodward? Stan Woodward represents two of the three co-defendants in the Mar-a-Lago case.

Now we're back to Judge Cannon and Stan Woodward represents the valet, the butler, Walt Nauta and represents the other guy, Carlos de Oliveira, who was the maintenance worker. Stan Woodward, who is also MAGA to the Corp and being paid by Donald Trump's PACs forever and the Republican National Committee, he's on the short list. So think about this old home week, right? This is like when you went to sleepaway camp and you didn't see your friends for a year, then you came back and they were all in your bunk. Think about this bunk.

Aileen Cannon as the Attorney General and as her two deputies, Todd Blanch, criminal defense lawyer for Donald Trump, who appeared in front of her to defend Donald Trump in that case she dismissed, and Stan Woodward who represented the other two co-defendants. Isn't that a lovely bunk? Yeah, it's a bunk,, right, of Federalist fascists all getting together to try to overthrow our rule of law. And it only gets worse from there. I think they put the other people on the list to scare the crap out of us and say, well, at least it's not Mike Davis or letting Clarence Thomas be the head of the Attorney General

positioned through Mark Paoletta. I mean, that's where we're at. And if this reporting is true, and it's gotta be, because it's multiply corroborated, it's not fake news, and nobody's denying it so far. This is the world we're living in, this is what should happen off of this hot take. Alien Cannon needs to recuse herself voluntarily,

or the 11th Circuit needs to do it for her. And Jack Smith needs to help it along with a filing to the 11th Circuit needs to do it for. And Jack Smith needs to help it along with a filing to the 11th Circuit to preserve whatever's left of a shred of dignity and integrity about the justice system and get her off the case. If this doesn't lead the 11th Circuit to find that Aileen Cannon was compromised ethically and otherwise during the entire case and making her ruling as a grounds to reverse it and reinstate the indictment against Donald Trump, I don't know what will. I don't know what will.

And the perversity, and as I said, the stench of this lack of ethics, of this just odor that's pervasive over this is just nauseating. It really is. To think of, like I said, that camp bunk of Aileen Cannon, Todd Blanch, and Stan Woodward getting back together again, this time running the attorney general's office. And then you've got the people that they're considering to run the FBI.

I mean, Todd Blanche is also on the short list if he doesn't get the plum job of deputy attorney general to be the FBI director. Sure, Donald Trump's personal criminal defense lawyer. Why not? Look, this is the fevered dream of Donald Trump and Boris Epstein and the Federalist Society to be able to put these people and reward these people and make sure that what happened last time with Donald Trump doesn't happen again, which is adults in the room

speaking truth to power and pushing back under threat of the 25th Amendment. The only reason our democracy didn't topple over the first time is because we had people at the end like Pat Cipollone and Pat Philbin in the White House council position and Eric Schneiderman who all said no and stopped Donald Trump and put their hand between his finger and the button that would have blown up our democracy. That's the only reason.

And people like Michael Lutig, the judge who stepped in with Mike Pence and Mike Pence growing a conscience and some sort of balls at the end not to do Donald Trump's bidding. Other than that, if these people, let me put it this way, if the people I just identified, Aileen Cannon, Todd Blanch, Jay Clayton, Paoletta, worse, Stan Woodward and the rest, Boris Epstein. If they were in power, Donald Trump never would have left. He'd be the first five term president. And I'd be doing my hot takes and my recordings from a concentration camp or a gulag in adjoining cells with the Midas brothers

and my producers. Got a report on it right here. There is a way out. I always like to leave my hot takes with the way out and the call to action. The call to action is simple. If you weren't motivated enough to get out and vote, get out and get other people in your life to vote,

to make phone calls to motivate other your life to vote, to make phone calls to motivate other human beings to vote, to knock on doors to make that happen, to get souls to polls and have them vote? I don't know what would. I mean, I'm not apocalyptic in my general perception, but if Donald Trump gets a hold of the Supreme Court one more time, it'll be two generations of right-wing conservative, seven-to-two decisions that you're not going to like. If Kamala Harris wins, we might have a five-to-four Supreme Court in the other direction. That alone should be a motivator.

Reproductive rights for women out the door for two generations if Donald Trump gets back into power. A federal court system that's completely reshaped. All the good that Joe Biden did at the trial court level undone by what Donald Trump will continue to do at the appeal court level, the appellate court level over these things. And now every department, every cabinet level, every major position headed by lawyers that owe their loyalty and have kissed the ring in the ass of Donald Trump, that's what's going to be in office. All being manipulated behind the scenes by people like Leonard Leo, the oil and petroleum industry, all pulling the levers of power against you. Vote. If we vote, we win. It's really that simple. The party equation

is simple. If Democrats vote in the numbers they're supposed to vote in, Donald Trump will not get anywhere near the White House again, and everything that I just laid out will just be some sort of perverse nightmare that never happened, that we averted. Yeah, this is like, it's a wonderful life. Right? You too can wake up on the bridge on a snowy, you know, snowy evening and realize that your family

is still there and all these terrible things and Potter's Field never happened. Make sure that doesn't happen.
