Legal AF by MeidasTouch - Trump’s Latest SCHOOL STUNT goes HORRIBLY WRONG
Episode Date: February 1, 2025Trump and MAGA are against indoctrination of public school students,..unless it’s their brand of “patriotism” and “founding father” rhetoric. Michael Popok calls out Trump’s next Executiv...e Order to eliminate a college theory on racism and the law and social structures (“critical race theory”) from being taught to Kindergarteners and middle school children—when it isn’t; in order to use that as an excuse to launch his incomplete and historically inaccurate “1776 Commission” again. Donald Trump's about to pass a new executive order
that's going to eliminate a problem that doesn't exist
in our public school system.
Eliminating what he claims to be the teaching
of critical race theory in kindergarten
through ages 12 in our public schools.
He's got one big problem with that.
It's not being taught there.
It's being taught in law schools, graduate programs,
and higher education, undergraduate coursework,
not in kindergarten.
Now why is Donald Trump raising this issue?
Well, you'll find out here on the Minus Touch Network
and Legal AF.
I'm Michael Popak.
CRT like like DEI,
are the four-letter words of MAGA, because it's another proxy for them to argue that the liberals,
the moderates, the Democrats, the Afis that live on the East Coast and the West Coast are out of
touch with mainstream American values and patriotism. And we have to get rid of DEI and we got to get rid of this insidious critical race theory
that's happening to kindergartens and fourth graders in America. And we got to replace it
with another level of propaganda about the founding fathers and patriotism as designed by Donald Trump.
All right, let's break this all down.
What is critical race theory?
It comes out of the 70s and 80s.
It has to do with looking at how society,
this is the theory, that's why it's called a theory,
that society perpetuates racism
through its legal institutions.
That's one of its major doctrines,
that race and racism is embedded in the legal systems,
in its policies, that race is a construct meant
to keep people down and so on.
It's a very sophisticated theory.
I don't support all of it.
I understand it.
There's many, many aspects of it about racism in the law and intersectionality
that I do agree with, but I also took that kind of teaching in graduate programs and in law school.
I'll tell you who's not being taught it, a fifth grader, an eighth grader, a 12th grader,
or a kindergarten student, for many reasons, including it is a very complicated Theory that would not be appropriate in that setting so it doesn't exist at the public school level
But it's a boogeyman under the bed right that Donald Trump and MAGA go after as a proxy to attack
Liberal ideals we get rid of diversity equity and inclusion
That's one four-letter word for MAGA. And let's get rid of
CRT, the other four-letter word. Okay? So he is about to sign another executive order. That's
the second shoot a drop, so to speak. And he's going to have the Department of Education head,
who's soon to be Linda McMahon, you know, World Wrestling Federation, World Wrestling Enterprises,
to eliminate something that doesn't exist.
Now what he really doesn't like, we know he doesn't like this, is the Pulitzer Prize-winning
work of Nichelle Hannah Jones, who wrote the 1619 Project, published in the New York Times,
about slavery and its impact ever since on American legal systems
and our domestic policy and racism in America, stemming from when we first, or that period of
time when we had slavery in this country. It won a Pulitzer. It's well argued. It's well researched.
You don't have to agree with everything about it, but you do have to recognize it as a body
of academic work that is logical with intellectual honesty and integrity.
Donald Trump hated it, so he and MAGA quickly slapped together the 1776 Commission.
He's got to troll everything. So the 1619 project gets met by the 1776 commission, which is all about American patriotism and
the old white guys that founded this country and the framers of our Constitution and our
Declaration of Independence and things like that.
It was so poorly written and poorly researched because Donald Trump doesn't do anything with
thought, doesn't do anything with proper analysis, doesn't do anything with a 360 degree holistic approach.
Look how he's governing in the first 11 days.
As I predicted, we are veering from one constitutional crisis and one abuse of power to another.
We're averaging right now a case a day in the Trump administration.
I think that number goes up, and I've said it before, to three to four cases a day as
the opposition to Donald Trump gains momentum.
We got about 10 cases filed already, four different courts, and we're only here on the
10th day of the Trump administration.
So 10 for 10.
I think it's going to be 20 and 30 more of that
I think we're gonna get four thousand lawsuits filed before the Trump administration is over four times
What happened in its first administration now? Let's go back to critical race theory functional mushroom seemed to be all the hype right now
So I did some research into the different companies out there, but I kept coming up with one above the rest
Mudwater which led me to try their turmeric starter kit.
It's based on a mushroom blend
that pairs ginger with warm turmeric
to create a golden hour for your brain.
Look, for me, I got the pick-me-up of a cup of Joe
without the impact of my nervous system or sleep cycles.
All right, it's February.
New Year's resolutions are still fresh. But let's be real, a lot of us are
already starting to slip, right? Maybe you've promised yourself
you're gonna hit the gym more, or eat cleaner, or just stop
hitting the snooze button 17 times. We've all been there. But
here's one resolution I can actually stick to ditching the
endless cups of coffee for something better, Mudwater.
If you're trying to cut those coffee jitters or just want to avoid that 2pm crash, Mudwater is
the cozy nourishing drink to help you power through. It's not your average cup of joe. It's
got a blend of cacao, chai, turmeric, and adaptogenic mushrooms to actually help you feel more focused, not wired. It's smooth, it's steady, and honestly, it just makes you feel better.
Switching to mud water can help you say goodbye
to sleepless nights.
It's got all the energy
without the late night existential crises,
and it's easy.
I mean, we're all busy, right?
Two minutes, mix it with some hot water or milk,
and you're good to go.
Or go completely wild and add some creamer, honey or CBD.
No hassle, no over caffeinated craziness, just pure focus.

It is a, yes, and I'm going to agree
with Maga and Trump here for a minute.
If CRT was being taught to people in kindergarten,
to boys and girls in kindergarten
and in fourth grade or eighth grade or even 12th grade,
without proper analytical framework,
without proper mental development,
without proper educational foundation
in order to understand this information, process it,
and make their own independent judgment and decisions about it the way graduate students do, college students should, and the information, process it, and make their own independent judgment and decisions
about it the way graduate students do,
college students should, and the like.
I would agree with Maga that it would be indoctrination
to teach that even though it's basically correct,
that the law, suffused within the law is racism and bias,
and the law as a construct is founded on an internal racism that can't be eliminated
from the analysis of law.
I agree with that.
I was also in law school when I took that course.
So I would agree with MAGA that it would be indoctrination if it was taught too young.
The only problem with their working theory is it's not being taught in public school
and they know it. Just like they know that the vast majority of undocumented people in this country are
not criminals, but it blows their narrative for them to admit that.
Instead they want Kristi Noem to run around on some sort of immigrant hunt, that's what
it looked like, looked like the Purge, run around on some sort of immigrant hunt saying,
we're taking the scumbags off the street.
That's our head of Homeland Security.
With a stroke of her pen, inhumane pen, she denied 600,000 Venezuelan undocumented any
more temporary protective status in the United States.
And her comment about that was, we're not going to give them 18 more months to commit
crimes in this country.
So they have to demonize and make the boogeyman out of undocumented in order to pass laws,
pass rules, do their mass deportations, do their destruction of sanctuary cities and
sanctuaries themselves, such as churches, do raids there along with schools.
And we have to expose it.
So get ready.
It's coming.
I'll do the hot take when it's signed in the next few days.
But critical race theory, he's going to say it exists in public schools when it doesn't.
He's going to say he's eliminating it or ordering the Department of Education to
eliminate it. He's then going to ask it to be replaced with his version of
indoctrination, which is the 1776 Commission and patriotism. So MAGA
doesn't have a problem with indoctrination. They just have a problem
with indoctrination when it's not their own. I'm going to continue to follow it
and expose it right here on the Midas Touch Network and Legal AF.
