Legal AF by MeidasTouch - VIOLENT Criminal Pardoned by Trump INSTANTLY ARRESTED Again

Episode Date: January 24, 2025

A Jan6 defendant charged with 12 felony counts, including throwing a bomb at 25 law enforcement, was pardoned by Trump, and then 24 hours later, picked up by Trump’s own DOJ in Florida, on an arrest... warrant for another felony of possessing a gun while a felon. Michael Popok takes a deep look into Trump’s pardon “process” (“F’ it give them all pardons”) and the depravity of absolving those who beat law enforcement. Charles Ball, a Jan 6 defendant who had 12 felony charges against him, including throwing an incendiary device, I mean a bomb, at 25 cops and law enforcement on Jan 6. So bad were his actions as alleged that they
Starting point is 00:03:06 kept him in jail all this time. And then he got sprung from jail with Donald Trump's pardon. And one day later Donald Trump's Department of Justice picked him up on new charges including that he was a felon possessing a firearm. Freedom! For less than 24 hours. Those are the types of people that Donald Trump has pardoned. Those that will beat law enforcement to death if they can. I'm Michael Popak, you're on Midas Touch Network
Starting point is 00:03:36 and on Legal AF, let's get into the case of Dave Charles Ball from Homosassa, Florida, who had 12 different felony counts against him. This dude was so bad as alleged that the judge, Judge Contreras in the DC Circuit Court, didn't even let him out in pretrial detention because of the allegations against him. I mean, he was as alleged a bad dude,
Starting point is 00:04:01 but beating up law enforcement as charged in the indictment against him in Jan 6th, pardoned by Donald Trump, that's not his first time he's ever beaten up law enforcement. He got convicted of beating up law enforcement, domestic battery, resisting arrest, and the rest. Those are the felony charges that would deny him the right to own a gun.
Starting point is 00:04:23 And so he owned a gun. In fact, there was a bench warrant from 2023 in the Middle District of Florida, sort of where their home of Sasa is, and he got picked up on it. By now, the Trump Department of Justice. Oh, the cosmic justice is so sweet here. Now look, Charles Ball, as alleged, as I said, bad guy. Anybody that makes a bomb and tries to throw it at 25 law enforcement, bringing an explosive device to the Jan 6, attacking the police, possessing a dangerous weapon,
Starting point is 00:04:55 does not belong back on the streets. It's only by chance that he's been picked up again. So what's Donald Trump gonna do? Is Donald Trump going to pardon him again? Is Charles Ball going to be the first person in history to ever get two pardons back to back? This is what happens when Donald Trump doesn't do any due diligence, violates even what MAGA wanted him to do about the Jan 6 pardons, which was don't pardon the Jan 6 defendants. Even MAGA wanted him to do about the Jan 6 pardons, which was don't pardon the Jan 6 defendants. Even MAGA didn't want to do that. You've got Republican senators coming out against Donald Trump and Congress people saying, we're supposed to be the law and order party.
Starting point is 00:05:34 I'm worried about the security and the future security of the Capitol. You should be. You don't think copycat people are getting it into their minds that they can get away with this as long as Donald Trump's in office or somebody just like him? This is the problem, and there's new reporting by the way, that Donald Trump was being given the list. He has no attention span. Has anybody noticed this? He had no attention span in his first term, and you think he's gotten any better four,
Starting point is 00:05:59 five, six years later? They stopped giving him the daily briefings when he was president the first time because he would just doodle and not pay attention. So they started, this is the reporting, they started to go through the 1,600 Jan 6th defendants to kind of separate them and segregate them from the really bad ones like the oath keepers
Starting point is 00:06:20 and the Proud Boys, Enrique Tarrio, Stuart Rhodes, guys like this guy, Charles Ball, from others, you know, maybe the misdemeanor wandering around people who didn't attack law enforcement with weapons, you know, that distinction. And apparently, according to Inside Knowledge, he got bored halfway through and literally said, fuck it, F it, sorry, give them all pardons
Starting point is 00:06:46 because he was mentally exhausted from going through a list. See, when I saw the pardon itself, I was like this guy is already gassed and he's only his third day in office. I predicted that there would be 1,600 to 2,000 pardons there's more coming by the way. Jan six defendants were first. But I thought there'd be like a spreadsheet, you know? He's got somebody working on his staff. Make a spreadsheet, segregate them, separate them.
Starting point is 00:07:15 Even JD Vance was like, yeah, we're not gonna let the really bad ones out. Right? Even he, until he got attacked by MAGA, he was like, oh, I. I'll let me walk that back So no spreadsheet the pardon just said I pardoned everyone Everyone in Jan six. I don't know any of their names except for these Oathkeepers and proud boys the worst of the bunch and I'm gonna commute their sentences
Starting point is 00:07:38 Let them out of jail right now and the rest all let it sorted out by my attorney general in my Department of Justice head I was like talk about phoning in this decision to celebrate and reward people who attack law enforcement. My household just welcomed our bouncy bundle of joy infant daughter. And now our sleep has been changed forever. My sleep has been what's the word I'm struggling for now? Awful, interrupted and frenetic.
Starting point is 00:08:07 The result, low energy and focus. It's clinically shown to improve sleep and let me tell you, it works. I finally started sleeping through the night and waken up refreshed, not groggy. With better sleep, my energy and focus
Starting point is 00:08:38 came back. Starting point is 00:09:44 off. In fact, Donald Trump was asked, you may have seen this clip if not I'm gonna play it right now either way, he he was asked at a press conference just a moment ago you know just in the last day or so, is it ever acceptable to assault law enforcement? This wasn't a trap. This is a this is a appropriate question to ask somebody who with a stroke of a pen Just pardoned 1600 people. He doesn't even quite know what they did and here's the clip of that at the press conference It's going to be a long Four years for Donald Trump at press conferences go you would agree that it's never acceptable to a solid police officer
Starting point is 00:10:22 So then if I can among among those you pardoned, DJ Rodriguez, he drove a stun gun into the neck of a DC police officer who was abducted by the mob that day. He later confessed on video to the FBI and pleaded guilty for his crimes. Why does he deserve a pardon? Well, I don't know, was it a pardon?
Starting point is 00:10:38 Because we're looking at commutes and we're looking at pardons. Okay, well, we'll take a look at everything, but I can say this. Murderers today are not even charged. You have murderers that aren't charged all over. More than 400 of the people that you pardoned, though, assaulted officers. So I want to ask you about the Vice President,
Starting point is 00:10:56 Jamie Vance. He said, if, this is a week ago, he said, if you committed violence on January 6th, obviously you should not be pardoned. Why is your vice president wrong? Well, only for one reason. They've served years in jail. They should not have served, excuse me,
Starting point is 00:11:12 and they've served years in jail, and murderers don't even go to jail in this country. And we had 1,500, we have 16 under review, as you know, we commuted about 16 of them because it looks like they could have done things that were not acceptable for a full pardon but these people have served years of jail or their lives have been ruined and in many and in many cases listen to me for a second stop interrupting they served years in jail and
Starting point is 00:11:43 if you look at the American public, the American public is tired of. Okay, Ball is just an example of the type of people that got released. If you go back to my body of work here on the Midas Touch Network, I've done dozens and dozens and dozens of hot takes about Gen 6 defendants being indicted,
Starting point is 00:12:03 being prosecuted, being convicted and being sentenced because I thought it was important. It's important for posterity sake. It's important for us to understand in the soul of America what happened here and the scar on the soul of America. I'm calling for every hot take I do
Starting point is 00:12:20 about the Jan 6 pardons, the creation of a Jan 6 museum memorial kind of like 9-eleven I want the videos running. I want the report out there. I want the I want the GoPro videos I want the closed-circuit TV cameras playing I want the indictments I want what judges have said about these defendants the ones ones who really know, because they saw the video, they saw the evidence, they have the receipts. I want that in a museum, celebrating law enforcement, outmatched, outnumbered, who battled with guys
Starting point is 00:12:54 like David Ball at the Western Terrace and the Western Tunnel in a medieval pitched battle in order to save a democracy. I want a row of hero photos and paintings of this of these law enforcement, including the ones who died, and the ones that took their own life. We need a Jan Sixth Museum. It's going to be built by Democrats, progressives and fair minded people for sure. Maybe it is a wing of the Biden
Starting point is 00:13:22 presidential library. Maybe that's where it properly belongs. That's where I think it should go. But we can't ignore it like it didn't happen, like the Tulsa massacre. We can't ignore it like it didn't happen, like slavery for so many years. We had no museum in America dedicated to that. This needs to be preserved, especially when you've got people like Mike Johnson, the Speaker of the House, Louder Milk and Jordan say, we're setting up a new committee,
Starting point is 00:13:53 a special select committee to look at the special select committee of Jan 6th and the weaponization. What are you even talking about? Weren't you the same guys belly crawling to get out of the Capitol as these crazed, frothing-at-the-mouth domestic terrorists were attacking the seat of our democracy at the orders of Donald Trump? Weren't you the same people that in the initial aftermath said that Donald Trump had disqualified himself as being ever serving in the presidency or in any office again?
Starting point is 00:14:27 qualified himself as being ever serving in the presidency or in any office again. This is where we're watching the rewrite of history. We can't allow it to happen. It's like the South saying that the Civil War was not over slavery and their use of slaves for their agrarian society. And it instead became over time the War of Northern Aggression with giant, magnificent, Grecian and Roman-type statues and monuments to their generals and to their leaders. Yeah? Can't allow that to happen for Jan 6th, right? It would be the equivalent if we allowed the majority or the Republicans to claim that 9-11 was an inside job
Starting point is 00:15:07 or a job that was perpetrated by the Jews or a false flag event or it's phony, it was done on a Hollywood soundstage, those people aren't really dead. And we allowed them to continue to say that over and over again and teach that in history books and set up a counter museum. We can't allow it. I'm going to continue to call for the Gen 6 museum. I want it on the campus of wherever Joe Biden's presidential library is going to be. We're going to continue to talk about these things because it matters here on the Midas Touch Network and on Legal AF.
