Starting point is 00:00:24 We are seeing some major people in the Trump administration saying, I quit. Donald, you and your corrupt Department of Justice cannot order us to engage in illegal or unethical acts. Perhaps you will find other fools who will engage in such behavior, but not us. This is principally coming from the Department of Justice. Main Justice in Washington, DC, which is now run by the corrupt Attorney General Pam Bondi and the Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove. They're basically serving as Donald Trump's personal law firm out for nothing but retribution and
Starting point is 00:01:06 unethical quid pro quo deals. But other top prosecutors who have worked in the DOJ for a long time have had enough and they are very publicly quitting. And also in the Southern District of New York, after their top federal prosecutor, the acting United States Attorney, Danielle Sassone, was asked to dismiss the charges against Mayor Eric Adams despite a ton of evidence of crimes committed, bribes taken, some of the worst behavior because Donald Trump wanted Eric Adams to turn over money to Donald Trump's administration and to parrot the MAGA talking points, Danielle Sassone, the top federal prosecutor, said, this is
Starting point is 00:01:51 an unethical quid pro quo. Crimes were committed. I'm not going to be the one to dismiss it because that makes me complicit. So she resigned, then others in her office resigned and then get this then Eric adams the corrupt criminal mayor from new york Whose charges I guess are going to be dismissed who knows shows up with tom homin on fox news The borders are and they start to brag about the quid pro quo on fox and tom homin's like well, you're going to do what I tell you to do or
Starting point is 00:02:26 I guess we can go back and have that discussion about your case again. And Mayor Eric Adams is just like sitting there. The whole scene is so utterly pathetic. I got to show you though, these resignation letters. This is some powerful stuff. So other people at the SDNY who worked for that prosecutor They're resigning as well because they're saying we're not we're gonna be lawyers for a long time and our bar Licenses and the oath we took actually matters to us. Yes, we're conservative lawyers, but that doesn't mean we're Criminal lawyers who are going to commit crimes for Donald Trump. I got to give these lawyers credit take a look at Hagen Scotton's letter for example, this just came out
Starting point is 00:03:09 This is an assistant United States attorney in the Southern District of New York So a very accomplished lawyer someone who would be working in the chain of command with that Danielle Sassoon Who was serving as the acting United States attorney the top federal prosecutor in that office Let me just read this line from this letter and I'll share more with you as well Scotton writes the following if no lawyer with an earshot of President Trump is willing to give him that advice that what you're asking is unlawful and illegal Then I expect you will eventually find someone who is enough of a fool or enough of a coward to file your motion.
Starting point is 00:03:50 But it was never going to be me. Please consider this my resignation. It has been an honor to serve as a prosecutor in the Southern District of New York. I want to read more of that letter. I want to show you Danielle Sassone's letter. I want to tell you more about what's been going down at the Department of Justice as well, but let me just show you this image right here. So you go, what? They did that earlier this morning on Fox. You had this brazen criminality by the DOJ, right? Where mayor Eric Adams gets the federal corruption charge drop nuts because There is an overwhelming evidence because he agrees to help the Trump administration
Starting point is 00:04:32 And just watch what Homan says Here Homan's like it's a thinly veiled Homan warning to Adams that if Adams doesn't come through for us I'll be in his office up his butt saying where the hell is that agreement? We came to on your behalf I mean in any other time in American history This would be grounds for impeachment of Donald Trump because this is this of all these people. This is crime These are crimes right here and they're just admitting to it on Fox. Watch this And they're just admitting to it on Fox watch this
Starting point is 00:05:10 If he doesn't come through I'll be back in New York City and we won't be sitting on the couch I'll be in his office up his butt saying where the hell is the agreement we came to so And I want ice to deliver. We're gonna deliver for the safety of the people of this city May I show you more exhibits of the crimes and then I'll show you some more resignations? So Donald Trump's asked in the Oval Office when he's with India's Prime Minister Modi yesterday, what do you know about these resignations? What's going on? And first Donald Trump realizes, wait a minute,
Starting point is 00:05:40 what should I say here? I'm just gonna go with I know nothing about it here, play this clip. If I could ask you about a development in your hometown today, the U.S. attorney has resigned over the DOJ's request to drop the case into Eric Adams. Did you personally request the Justice Department to drop that case? No, I didn't. I know nothing about it. I did not. And then Donald Trump realizes, wait a minute, I have absolute immunity now. There's no repercussions anymore because of the corrupt United States Supreme
Starting point is 00:06:08 Court and the spineless Republicans in the Senate and the House of Representatives. Okay. I'm going to actually say, you know what? We fired the United States. She didn't resign. I fired her. How many times have we heard that with Donald Trump before she didn't resign?
Starting point is 00:06:23 I said, you're fired. So immature and such criminality. Here, play this clip. That war is a horrible war. It's a vicious bloody war. We want to end it. To your other question, that US attorney was actually fired. I don't know if he or she resigned, but that US attorney was fired.
Starting point is 00:06:44 Now, just so you know who's leading the justice department so pam bondy's the individual leading the justice department So as I said, the justice department now is trump's law firm. Emil bovey was trump's lawyer in his criminal case He's the person who's carrying out these orders with or asking that these orders be carried out with Pam Bondi. So this was Pam Bondi earlier this week where she said that she was bringing charges against the governor of New York and the New York attorney general, Letitia James, charges as though they were like criminal charges. Then you looked at it.
Starting point is 00:07:21 It was some like just frivolous civil lawsuit that wasn't even filed on a docket when this announcement was made here. Watch this video of her. We're here today because we have filed charges against the state of New York. We have filed charges against Kathy Hochul. We have filed charges against Letitia James and Mark Schroeder, who is with DMV. This is a new DOJ and we are taking steps to protect Americans, American citizens and angel moms, like the mom standing right behind me, who you're going to hear from in a moment. New York has chosen to prioritize illegal aliens over American citizens. It stops. It stops today. As you know, we sued Illinois, and New York didn't listen. So now, you're next.

Starting point is 00:10:02 And when I saw her make the argument for Trump during impeachment, I was like, doesn't seem like a impeachment lawyer. And when I saw her make the argument for Trump during impeachment, I was like, doesn't seem like a great lawyer. Like, like, you know, lawyers may have different skills, but being a advocate, an oral advocate, we just watch, watch this. This was not exactly I would not give this high marks in my law school class. If this was some of the presentations that were made here, play this clip. He remained on the board
Starting point is 00:10:34 until April of 2019. We also know that… All right, now let's get back into these letters, shall we? Because this is some compelling stuff. This is what Hagan Scotton wrote. Dear Mr. Boeve, Emil Boeve, Trump's corrupt deputy attorney general at the DOJ, I've received correspondence indicating
Starting point is 00:11:06 that I refused your order to move to dismiss the indictment against Eric Adams without prejudice, subject to certain conditions, including the express possibility of reinstatement of the indictment. That is not exactly correct. The US attorney, Daniel Sassoon, never asked me to file such a motion,
Starting point is 00:11:23 and I therefore never had an opportunity to refuse, but I am entirely in agreement with her decision not to do so for the reason stated in her February 12, 2025 letter to the Attorney General. In short, the first justification for the motion that Damian Williams' role in the case somehow tainted the valid indictment supported by ample evidence and pursued under four different U.S. attorneys is so weak as to be transparently pretextual. The second justification is worse. No system of ordered liberty can allow the government to use the carrot of dismissing charges or the stick of threatening to bring them again to induce an elected official to
Starting point is 00:12:03 support its policy objectives. There is a tradition in public service of resigning in a last-ditch effort to head off serious mistakes. Some will view the mistake you are committing here in light of their generally negative views of the new administration. I do not share those views. I can even understand how a chief executive whose background is in business and politics might see the contemplated dismissal with leverage as good if distasteful of a deal, but any assistant U.S. attorney would know that our laws and traditions do not allow using the prosecutorial power to influence other citizens, much less elected officials in this way. If no lawyer with an earshot of the president is willing to give him that advice Then I expect you will eventually find someone who was enough of a fool or enough of a coward to file your motion
Starting point is 00:12:55 But it was never going to be me. Please consider this my resignation It has been an honor to be a prosecutor in the Southern District of New York, Hagen Scotton right there. That's how it's done, folks. Let me show you Danielle Sassoon, Hagen's boss or prior boss, the acting United States attorney for the Southern District of New York. And it should be noted with her background that she clerked for Justice Scalia and she clerked for Justice or Judge Wilkinson, conservative, Federalist judges. You don't get more conservative and check the boxes
Starting point is 00:13:32 than a Justice Scalia Wilkinson law clerk. And that's why she was given this position, but she was not going to violate the law. Here's what she said in her letter, just so you could see it for yourself. So one of the things what she said in her letter just so you can see it for yourself. So one of the things that she says in her letter is she goes, let me just pull it up right here, she's like, look, I've been, you know, I've been in this position for a while. She goes, on February 10th, 2025, I received a memorandum from the acting deputy attorney general,
Starting point is 00:14:01 Emile Bove, directed me to dismiss the indictment against Mayor Eric Adams without prejudice subject to certain conditions, which would require leave of court. I do not repeat here the evidence against Adams that proves beyond a reasonable doubt that he committed federal crimes. Mr. Bove, rightly, has never called into question that the case team conducted the investigation with integrity and that the charges against Adam are serious and supported by the facts in law. Mr. Boebs memo, however, which directs me to dismiss an indictment returned by a duly constituted grand jury for reasons having nothing to do with the strength of the case, raises serious concerns that render the contemplated dismissal inconsistent with my ability and
Starting point is 00:14:42 duty to prosecute federal crimes without fear or favor and to advance good-faith arguments before the court. As a lawyer, this is some powerful stuff right here. When I took my oath of office three weeks ago, I vowed to well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office which I was to enter. In carrying out that responsibility, I am not charged the duties of the office which I was to enter in carrying out that responsibility. I am guided by, among other things, the principles of federal prosecution set forth in the Justice Manual and your recent memorandum instructing attorneys for the Department of Justice to
Starting point is 00:15:17 make only good-faith arguments and not to use criminal enforcement authority of the United States to achieve political objectives or other improper aims. I am guided by the values defined by this career." And so she goes on and then she says, I'm resigning. Powerful, powerful stuff. And then you had the lawyers at Maine Justice resign as well. The Justice Department planned to remove the prosecutors handling the Mayor's case, the ones I just mentioned,
Starting point is 00:15:47 and reassign it to the Public Integrity Section in Washington. However, as soon as the Public Integrity Section in Washington was informed that it would be taking over from SDNY, John Keller, the acting head of the unit, and his boss, Kevin Driscoll, the senior most career official in the criminal division resigned, resigned, resigned, resigned.
Starting point is 00:16:10 This is good stuff. This is powerful stuff. And as a lawyer, I respect what they did here, standing on business, standing for their values, standing for the oath that they took. Tell me what you think, hit subscribe.
