Welcome to Legends of Aventrus. I am High General Virgil Zern, and you are listening to Beneath Dark Wings. Here is what happened last time. You see the massive force ahead of you. The time has come to test your mice. Their horrible weapons built into these constructs is to failure in battle. Your soul will be theirs. You hear the loud footsteps and marching of soldiers, the smashing of war drums. Death and hell. march upon this city. We are the last line. It is up to you brave men and women to stand

against the darkness, to stand against the hellfire. Fusantra, you see this massive machine rolling towards you. You know that they are harvesting souls for something. And I'm going to polymorph you, if you will accept. I will accept, I trust you. Okay. My man, you are now a giant ape. of damage as you see Herger's now at 8th. Just going 8th shit into this. And that's how you use Polymore. Yeah.

You hear a crack. And meanwhile, as Hergia is climbing up this thing, it starts to crumble, its eyes go dark. And it's this, it's a scrap metal. A massive, a brass statue, demonic hellfire spins around the statue. This is Moabuk. He's coming! The statue begin to.

to move as flesh begins to appear. My queen, give us the blessing we need. And he lets out a roar to massive wings sprout from his back. You all stand in the battlefield in front of Zentra, as all around you, thousands of soldiers on either side are still clashing with waves of beast men, ogres, giants, demons, devils. And there is current.

slain bodies all around you. Some machines still making their ways to the wall. You're hoping that these soldiers can handle it. However, you're not concerned with the carnage that's all around you. Directly ahead of you is High General Zern. His hair blasting back, massive wings sprouting out from his shoulders,

his massive great sword in one arm as his wounded crippled arm is still in its slain. His eyes are flaring. He's called you to his side, and he's flying towards this massive statue that is on a massive polonquin that is heaved and pushed forward by eight huge minotors. As this swirling, fiery portal is rising up from the ground. And as you see, as it's rising across the statue, where once was brass and fire is armor,

flesh, flame, and it begins to move. And you see Zern turned to all of you, his stern face even more punctuated by the blazing red energy as he's called upon the power of the Raven Queen to empower you as he raises his great sword and says, to me, all of you, I'm here, I'm here, I'm here.

We are going to slay, and I'm not stumbled today, and he turns around and flies as he beats his massive wings and takes off into the sky, raising up about four feet, and glides across the fields, heading towards the statue.

And as you see, this massive swirling portal rise higher and higher and higher. You see the body of a huge creature that begins to move. There's this coarse, almost coal-like black armor. Dark red flesh, barely visible between the narrow gaps in this heavy armor, blazing with fire from every little bit.

You can just see this devilish flesh. And as it gets to his head, it shrinks and raises up, and you see a massive helmet. two enormous bull-like horns rising up and two tiny eyes, two flaring nostrils, and as soon as the portal finishes, a massive eruption of fire

immediately bursts from this creature as it stands with one massive whip that has many prongs at the end of it in one hand and a clawed gauntlet in the other. as the massive flame blasts back all eight minutes horse, completely singeing the flesh from their bones, turning the skeletons as the entire force in a massive radius around, around this huge statue.

It's completely incinerated instantly. Nothing left but ash. And anyone were finishing it. Fuck you go. You guys ever see Terminator 2? Guard me anewkus. I need your guidance. Thanks for the follow.

and clash against the row of soldiers that are attempting to assist you. And it is just you seven, as you are all running forward. You see the form of High General Zern as he flies forward as this massive creature that had just been sitting a massive empty, empty socket in his armor with blazing hellfire, erupting out of it. You hear around him the crying of children, oh fuck, and babies, as they sound constrained

and in agony and rage and sorrow. As this creature stands up, it looks at Zern, and you see these sockets, in the helmet narrow, almost as if the armor that which it is wearing is living. As it whips, its massive flaming whip. Okay, 2025. Oh, so.

That'll be a, uh, let's say, 24, 20. Okay. 24? Yep. Lifty got a 20. Lifty got a 20. Lifty got a 20. Caprice got 24. Okay.

So, Haqdino Zurn has whipped around this wind, this hot wind that has filled you with powers, albeit to glow the same red that he is, and you all are receiving plus five the saving throws and all damage. As you hear the crackling of a thunder and lightning, as he then flies. He then flies and slices into Moloch. Okay, Capricier up. You roll, you go. I pull back the crossbow. Ah, fuck shit.

I fire, I get a 13 to hit. It clangs off of his armor. Oh, okay. I'll take another bolt and load it, and that'll be it at my turn. Okay, that's your turn. Lifty, you're up. Oh, I'm Lifty. Fuck.

as the puffs of smoke. And you see these floating smoke action creatures. creatures fly around, faces wrenched in pain looking like children, and they are all going to swarm around you. Oh, my gosh. Yikes. Yikes. That's going to be a yikes for me dog.

And doing so 20 points, so that's half. Okay. As that happens, he's going to turn to you

because legendary actions are a thing. And he is going to raise his crackling whip and shoot towards you, Hersha. That is going to be a 30 to hit. That'll hit. Okay. You're gonna think. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

So that'll be 13 points of slashing damage and now I know why you posted that wizard shield mean earlier. Just huge. 13 points of slashing damage And 16 points of lightning damage. Have, obviously. So make sure you have rounded down.

You would already smell the stench of horrible sulfur as he reaches out toward the back line.

You see Phyllis snap his fingers, and all of a sudden it gets extinguished from his hands. And the eyes narrow as it looks at you. We can do this. Okay. I don't know what eggs sound like. That's pretty good. A inch for them disilline.

So, as Moloch stands up fully, finally, as as he's risen, He's risen, standing tall, even taller, than the massive ape that Hurd has been turned into. It turns to you hear the sound of wailing as you see a horrible, horrible pit of dark energy swirling in his stomach. As it gets louder and louder, you hear the sound of horrible wailing and despair and agony

and blasts at all of you as it's a breath of despair. I need everyone to make a wisdom saving throw. You have been favorite. Ooh, that was a scary roll. Oh my goodness. That might be a yikes for me. Plus five, everybody.

No one's within 10 feet of me. I moved down. No, she's not. What is it? Wisdom? Oh shit, that's actually not bad. I got a 16. 16, okay.

26 for Troa. Passes. Passes. Luffy gets a... 8 plus 7 is what? 15, 15. Does it 25 pass? 25 passes.

round. Oh, shit. And then following up, he slices and slices. And with that, it is Capri- Capricis turn. Holy shit. What the fuck? Oh, my God. Oh, Jesus. I'm going to go,

I'll take a pack of opportunity. I'll go, like this and get right here and then I will do thunderwave at first level. I think they all use their reactions, right? Yes. Yeah. Oh, fantastic. Oh, I like baited them all out. That's a good point.

Her speed is very high. So it's going to be like all the way up there. So anyway, just to, she was right here. I'll say she can get to, there's a ring of fire around it and you stop as soon as you can't move any more. So we'll say she can move to the edge of the battlefield. And that's a spoon if anybody's serious. Oh, hell, no long. It's a lot of it.

energy his hair is flying upward his sword is sundered into it his one arm is still at his chest the sword is cleaving down and Caprice you say these words and Moloch's eyes turn to you as The bolt fires and it pierces through his skull, it bursts out of the other side, and you see the lights dim, and he looks out, and it's like,

in a massive roar, erupts across the forest, and looks around as it flashes. There seems to be a sense of betrayal in the other as the lights dim and the massive form of Moloch crumbles to the ground. Oh, fuck. And as soon as this devil is snuffed out. We've essentially pushed him out of the point, right? Like he's not dead.

That was like a manifestation of him in our point. When it comes to creatures of that level, the way I usually think about it. it is that it's an aspect. And there's still some personality thing that goes down and he's going to be in his little like, yeah, it's almost litreous. You'd have to kill him

for his problem. Yeah, it essentially expelled him from our time. Yes. And it will be incredibly difficult for him to get back. So it's for all intents and purposes we've killed him. But we don't know any of that.

But we don't know how long it would be. Right, right. That's why it was a meta question. Out of character. Yeah. As soon as he collapses onto the ground, and the puff of dust erupts out.

Suddenly a massive pillar of flame erupts out of him and Zern has to dodge out of the way and suddenly you hear the banging of war drums louder and louder and you hear the low guttural roar voices in unison. Bar for Matt, Bartho Matt, Back from Matt, back from Matt,

back for Matt, and it gets louder and louder and louder as the roars erupt and echo across the forest. As you then look behind you and Zern, his eyes are wide with furious anger and hatred. He's completely covered in the blood of this creature. As he turns around, as you look all around, the, the, the,

a beacons of flames sort of erupt all across the forest ahead of you. As suddenly the massive battle behind you starts to, the massive din of battle starts to almost suddenly get quiet as just the thundering of hoofs. As the surviving beast men all around you begin to back up and you hear a As you hear Baphomet, Bafo Man, and suddenly the beast men that are engaged begin to back up and then begin a full retreat into the forest.

As you hear the chanting of Baphomet get louder and louder and louder and louder and suddenly not very far into the woods ahead of you, you see a massive, pillar of flame and swirling black energy swirling up all around it

and the trees begin to shake. Leaves are scattered, splinters of wood and as the you look behind you and you see soldiers looking around completely bloodied as the survivors

of this of the Horn Legion begin to begin a full out stampede tore back towards the forest as all of the human soldiers are looking around their weapons, drawn their hands glowing the ones that are able to cast covered in blood their own

and the blood of their comrades as they're all looking around confused as as Molok's body the massive pillar flame doles back down and you hear the chanting get louder and louder as the beasts that are returning to the forest begin to chant baffle man baffle man as the trees shake and suddenly from beyond you hear a loud the horrible horrific roar of a bull that completely shatters all of the other noise and

and echoes, shakes the ground around you as something rises up from the trees. Black fur, massive figure, two sets of massive horns. As you see as an enormous bullhead rising well over the tree line, Turrance, blazing eyes, takes one glance, and roars again, and suddenly all of the beasts are inspired and let out a roar in exchange, and they thunder into the forest, and then the massive creature raises up

a horrible, massive, jagged, black glave, and it glows with this horrible black, energy and he brings it down and the massive bullhead turns and begins to stop away. As, as all of the beasts enter the forest and rush past you and Zoran is looking around like, what does this happen? What do we do? I believe that they have done what they sought to do. They sacrifice. sacrificed that creature. Or should I say we sacrificed that creature?

And now they have risen that bull beast and are going to fulfill whatever duty they actually have. We've been dup friends. Do we just let him run into the forest? No, obviously we don't, but it's not like we can catch them right now. We have to get to safety. We're tact. I've got nothing left.

Zern, uh, Zern, you see, you see his face now as the dull, or the bright glow of the red begins to dull. His eyes now returning, as his face now begins to finally show its age, as his wings crumple and retract back into shoulder blades, and he lands, and he holds his great sword to the ground

as he almost stumbles to all fours, and he breathes, and you see a huge amount of blood spit up by him. And he says, we have to engage in a full retreat. Yes, we don't really have any other choice. It's not a retreat. Let's just get behind the walls, but we took care of the big guy. We're all right.

And I'll cast healing word on him at... You do that. Joe, can you help the High General up? Help me help him up. I want to reach down. I'm still huge. I want to reach down for the last or two hours. Yeah. I'll just like you doing that in that case. Pick him up. Before, like, I'm about to be able to say,

May I help you soon? Eight hit points. Eight hit points. As you start to seal his wounds, you realize just how much of a beating that Zern took from Moloch as just horrible slashes, stabs, bite marks all over. He was heavily armored in plate,

and he was horribly wounded. And he is, he lets out a sigh as you close up his wounds as Toa. you pick up his form as he sheets his sword, and he looks up at you slightly confused, like slightly confuses, and there's almost as if he had been knocked in the head slightly. As he's a full retreat behind the walls. We've done what we can this day.

Yes, yes, sir, yes, sir. And I'm going to just pick him up, see does he, like, resist or seem disgusted by that? No. I'm going to grab him, and I'm going to start just running back. I'll join the group, I guess. Are we going?

Yes, we need to go. I just got here. My little life took forever for me to hear about. I'm here, I'm here now. Oh, no. It's that disgusting dwarf from the end. No, it's not. It's just Terja.

It's not. It's me. It's herjat. And I just kicked the fucking Moloch on the ground. And... Do you need help with him? I've got him for now. Unless, where's Peyton, by the way?

I just remember... I don't want to talk about it. We can talk about it later. It's not important right now. Let's get Zan back to the city. Shouting left and right. Spread the word. Return behind the gates.

Return behind the gates, everybody. We're going back. Seeing that I'll help. I'll do the same thing. So as you're all shouting back and forth, all of the soldiers of Zentra, the entire battlefield is completely covered in bodies. And you see that the beast that managed to escape

is a fraction of the ones that actually managed to, that attacked initially. And it seemed as if there's bodies of countless beastmen, minotaur, centaurs, goat creatures. And it seems almost all of the Iron Legion that attacked has been completely wiped out as the stragglers all are running back to the forest. And as all of the soldiers looking confused,

they begin to then let into a full charge in attempting to chase. You begin to shout out, and Zern looks at all of you, and he says, and his voice booms out magically, and echoes across the field, and you hear,

Oh, retreat, retreat, retreat, and immediately the soldiers all turn around and begin to start making their way. The balistas and the trebushes and catapoles are still firing their missiles, at them. You see a one massive boulder smash and take off several meditores. You see the ruined remnants of the machines as you cross. As you see however one portion of the wall has a massive hole in it, however right directly in front of it, you see it completely destroyed a Hellfire

Engine. It seems that was the only one that was actually able to make it to the wall and actually pierce through. And as you begin to sprint back towards Zedron. As we would be moving back, I would be casting, since I can do it at range, spare the dying on anyone who looks like they might not have fully died. So I'm just going to be looking everywhere

and just essentially trying to phrase people. You see some soldiers moving, although they're down, and several of the medics and the clerics are all the ones that are not retreating. They're going and checking the dead. And it seems like you've saved a good number of lives is doing that, maybe several dozen.

As you are saving the lives of these soldiers, as you're all running back. As the Southern Gate opens up, these soldiers are all spilling into it, and you all manage to make your way to the other side of the walls of Zentral. Oh!
