We need to move forward, and I agree, we need to secure the area and make sure that it's safe and we need to rest. And this is connected to the government, we could at least get some kind of information? I agree. Hello, is there anyone in there? It's safe now. She looks up at you and she goes, shh, she's sleeping.

I'm upset. He told you it was dark. You would know that the Raven Queen is a goddess of death. prominent in the shadow. We could maybe sit down and blabber a little bit, have a conversation. That would be the tits. Have you come to die, devil?

I didn't mean to deceive you, great both. Staying in town would be very dangerous. He has just this thick, coarse black hair. Oh, son of up. I may or may not have armed a werewolf with a javelin and didn't think about it, so I'm sorry. All right.

And I'm going to very carefully shave some of the black fur off of his arm. Okay. And scoop it in the vial without touching it. Make a dexterity check. And right after you do that, I realized we hadn't introduced our players or our characters. I knew I was really excited. No, no, I would should have done that.

So we'll do that after, after Felix makes his role. Sorry, I'm looking, oh, just a straight decks check? Straight decks. All right, sorry. I'm navigating, I don't. I'm navigating Dean Debian for the first time again. Oh, that's bad. I only got a six.

You got a six. So you managed to, you a lot kind of spill onto the ground, and some of the hairs kind of fall onto your wrist, and you kind of shaped it off immediately. But you do manage to get a number of hairs into the bottom. Felix has just shaved off some of the black hair on, that has sprouted from Amos since you've been gone. I'm looking over my shoulder as I like tuck the knife back into my cloak. Is Amos awake? He's not conscious. He's not conscious. He's not conscious. He's sweat.

He's spreading profusely and he has this hair. He seems to be at least in some kind of catat-fong state. He appears to at least be uncomfortable. I'll walk up, having not seen, I guess, what Felix has done. Start slapping him on the face. Hey, hey, Amos, are you all right? Caprice, just be careful touching him.

We don't know how this spreads. Do I see this happening? Yeah, you're all there. Okay, what are you doing? What's going on? I thought I'd make them wake him up. I took a sample. I was able to get some of the hair.

We have to study this the best that we can. This is clearly not an illusion, and I just show them the vial of black hair. Well, okay, I don't need to see your vial to realize he's got hair on his back, but this is quite... It's an illusion you wouldn't know just by looking at him. But holy Christ, what do we do about this guy? He's clearly alive, and I feel bad just smishing his head in,

Honestly, I have no issue of people being. covered in furze, obviously, I'm as well. He's something to look like you, huh? Wow. Well, not nearly as beautiful. However, the thing that concerns me is he's sweating and I find sweat to be disgusting. I mean, he's clearly sick.

If he jumps back up and he's a lot stronger than he was, I have to be honest with you guys. I'm out of steam. I got nothing left. Oh, so you think he's going to turn down ass? Look at him. This clearly is a real issue. He should definitely take his weapon away. Yeah, so I know. Yeah, so I know.

It's very noticeable that he's at a angle, and, you know, you guys walk back to camp. You find it exactly how you left it. The fire isn't snuffed out. There's still some very faint embers beneath your campfire, but really just everything is where you would like. I'm not sure about you, but I'm exhausted. So I'm ready to lay down and go to sleep.

I walk over to Herja and I start making those kids. I'm just fucking around. No, I still keep right there. Right in the lower back, I've been really feeling it. Oh, yeah. I could put my elbow in a little bit. Yeah. That's good.

I'm glad. So in my time awake, I'd like to do investigation on him. And again, this is going to be tough, because I don't want to touch him too much. So you might use a stick or my knife. Should we make an investigation at disadvantage, please? All right, it's not bad. Plus seven is 15.

Okay, so you're kind of keeping an eye out on him, and you're taking, I'll say, for the full couple hours of your watch, just you, Dakota, and Amos, and you kind of occasionally, he stirs occasionally like, and you kind of seems the same, but right when you're ready to wake up Toa, you notice that there are two small bumps.

He seems to be kind of I would say, I mean, like a fever? Is that why he's sweating profusely? I mean, like, can I discern that? I'd say if you're not touching him, it'd be very difficult for you to see. You can probably sense that with how much he's sweating, he may have something from your kind of field medical knowledge. I do not want to touch him at all.

Are you just still a normal person? You just need to last like two hours, that's all. He starts kind of shaking a bit more, and then he calms back. I think you're all right, just hanging there just a little longer. Okay, and then your watch is over? I'll probably get up. I'll go to Lufty. And I'll, uh, I guess your iris is on top of her.

Yeah, I would definitely go to Lufty. I would gently push Iris off of Lufty. The moment she touches me, my back arches, my tail is up. Just, just roll over. Come on, just roll over. What? You've been sleeping off for like three hours. I've slept on her every night for the past month.

It says that like either sleeping or like not doing physical activity for a full eight hours, right? So can I sleep for seven, wake up that extra hour and spend that hour

like meditating and preparing spells that it still counts as a long rest? So yeah I think instead of holding everyone back an extra hour. I think the AD is just the morning routine of getting up is when you're preparing. Okay.

So it's not like you need to make everyone wait. Just like everyone's kind of waking up and they're getting ready for the day. You're just able to kind of flip through your spellbook and start preparing. Okay. So you all kind of wake up to the

It kind of has this almost like these mutton shops that have grown overnight. And now very clearly are two small black horns that have grown. It sounds really inhumane. Lesser restoration, you touch a creature and can either end one disease or one condition of which you can. Condition can be blind and deaf and paralyzed or person. So if it's a disease, it would cure it. If it's a curse, it would not. So you cast lesser restoration, you kind of feel that shimmering a golden light come over him, and he seemed to show no change. Does Derek meet the role for the horn thing? Yes, make him a straight, extra check.

You just grab him. The more you can get, the better. 14. So as you grab his forehead, he starts to kind of start, I apologize, and you kind of have to hold him down, and the knife is shaking. Full of hair, and working it. Okay, and you manage to stick your blade into the horn,

and it's very difficult, but you manage to just kind of like your woodwork moves very slowly, get a nice, healthy shave of this black horn into the vial. Just like making a violin, no problem. And he just kind of is starting to shake more and more as he starts like to sweat profusely. And that's why I says. Out of curiosity, I'm sorry to interrupt. Excuse me, how are you? Excuse me, how are you? I'm going to try that in Infernal and Abyssal. Oh.

And he's just kind of, he's not really responding in people different. to hear the noise, he just kind of like, apologize, and he starts shaking, so he doesn't respond to either infernal or his whole... I mean, just not anything different than he has with the others. I didn't mean to interrupt, I just... You know, it suddenly occurred to me that his voice

seems to be changing, and I thought maybe, you know, if he's going to be becoming like some sort of like crazy demon or what happened, that might be meaningful. No, I feel like all of us here can recognize that he's transforming into something that we're not okay with, and I don't want to be... the first person to go ahead and say, okay, let's kill the guy. All right, you're darling, then I'll be the first person to say, let's kill him.

It's not a disease. It's not something I can cure. I don't think there's anything that we can do to keep him from journeys. We might as well kill him now instead of doing it when, oh, I don't know, he's much more powerful than he has a full set of horns than he'll never be this. Unless he looks like he's going to get much more powerful, I'm 100% disagree. And the reason I disagree is because this is how we prove to anyone in Kirstog, what's been going on with this gross thing? Well, I'm not going to kill his dog. I'm going to kiss Stein.

And I don't think the people that are going to give a shit. No, it was a mispronunciation. I think there was a little bit of a dialect issue. Capricci. I think that we were trying to go to Kirstein. Right? Yeah. Yeah.

So I think it's important to at least, you know, I'm trying to keep him alive as long as possible. And Dakota hasn't told me otherwise that he's bad. And I don't want to get to that point where we kill him before Dakota tells me, hey, by the way, this guy's going to kill him. You know that that's just a weapon, right? She's kind of sentient and she's like my best friend. Do we know how far to church?

I think he'll probably another day or Tuesday. Actually, no, I think it's another day's right. I do not think that we can walk a day with this thing in full blown, whatever. He's going to slow us down. Listen, I don't want to just kill someone who's innocent, but he's going to slow us down. I obviously didn't want to either. The reason he's still alive, the fact that I've saved his love.

I mean, yeah. It's fair. But at the end of the day, it's not like we can sit here and do much for him. But if he turns into one of the things that we've already killed, then killing him is no big deal. I mean, I've never taken like a life life. You kill beasties and what have you.

It's a totally different bag. If he turns and he truly genuinely wants to attack us, it's, you know, one of those defense operations. I feel really strange about killing somebody that's been apologizing me up to and to this point. So not to say that I'm not appreciative of everything you've done up into this point. Like I'm so glad that he's still maybe heinous, amos. I don't, whatever his name is, Cepuci back me up here.

But I just don't feel right killing him right now. Can we spare, I'm sorry, can we spare 10 or 15 minutes while we talk about this? Can I get a moment alone with him? Sure. Yeah. Do whatever you want to do, but you do. want to do, I trust you. I just met you, but hopefully you don't kill him. If you kill him, we're going to have to have a conversation. I'm not going to kill him. Not a very confrontational

conversation because, you know, from where from, but, you know. There's also a core meeting conversation that we need to have. I mean, if we think of the Kirstein, then the, does that mean that we're going to just, you know, the, you know, the, whatever. This is my thinking as well. source of transmutation measure. Amos. Do I feel like he's alive still after Felix has investigated him enough? He's still just like, so okay, first off, I just want to say thank you for not killing him first off because I think we would be against it.

what kind of magic are you most familiar with evocation evocation do I know what that is I know some I know some conjuration and I know a little bit of transmutation and divination things like that but I I've always specialized in invocation Okay, well, that helps, but does this feel like the same kind of magic stuff that you were running into when we were working with, you know, the big, uh, big double of, and, you know, the big, uh, big, uh, big, uh, that was strictly illusion magic. So you see, you're looking ahead at the Stout Maine Highlands. And you kind of see this dense, kind of loamy soil that spreads all around. where the Stoutman Highlands are basically in the foothills of peaking ahead, very, very, very faint snow caps, tips. Cool. What notes? The K-R-O-L-V-A. Cool. Yeah, the K-R-O-L-V-A. As K-R-O-L-V-A. And as you are making your way down the road, you start to see that the elevation was fairly,

kind of hilly, but you know, not too bad in the clockwork wearing a bed, but it starts to kind of veer up and down around bends and bluffs and prags as you start making your way

towards Kyrgyzog. And you see the occasional herd of wild horses running through the highlands, and you see farms far off, dotting.

Not too many, but several. It seems to be pretty sparsely populated in civilization. Can I get a sense of what they are farming? I would, yeah, make an intelligent charm. Huh, 20. 20. I would say, given your experience, you're probably getting the sense that they are farming wheat and barley. That makes sense.

I give them a little nod, and out of my flask, I started to take a skip of the delivery. shift fear that a gentleman poured into my godrick poured into my flask the previous day. And so, you night falls over the highlands as kind of the clouds roll and you kind of start to feel the pitter-patter of rain drops, cool, water, getting your skin as you're making your way. There are the occasional tree here and there, but for the most shrubs, stuff like that. It's just shrubs and bushes and, like, large rock formations, and you're just kind of basically weaving in and out of these things

As you're walking through this path, as you kind of start to pass a bend up ahead of you, the large wooden walls of Kyrgyzine, you can kind of start to see as it as wooden walls. Wooden walls. Okay. Of Kyrshire. as you can kind of see that this city, this town seems be built into, one like a tier of cliffs as you walk through the river going right through. You see that the walls kind of continue on either side of this roaring river and a series of waterfalls. You see the large gate up ahead, but it's far enough away, there's its altitude, you can kind of, you can see, get a good sense of it.

You see shapes moving along the top of the wall. You would recognize these as kind of as the general town guard and the general centuries. And you can see that there are varying levels, and you can kind of see just over the wall that familiar kind of dot at the very top of the town. Coistered away from the rest, separated by the river. you see the monastery of Lockoard where you were in. And you... But we don't... She has to share this with us.

We just know she's from the town. And so you know that you are getting close and that you could probably go off to the side of the road, go along the river, find a bank, and, um, and stash the dude in some place. Uh, safe. Okay.

So we found an outcropping. So yeah, you're able to kind of, get the sense of like that there's some place off the road. And how far from the town gates are we? Yes. You're probably another good 20-minute walk up the side of these highlands to the town. And it's kind of a little hidden village, almost. And you can kind of get the sense why this is staged strong for so long.

And she, like, grabs his face and, like, prize it open.

And it's the same result of him as, like, sputtering and, like, he just kind of, uh, struggling. And then she just, she just shrugs and then goes back down and drinks. Uh, not seem to be bothered. So, um, as, uh, you're all approaching, um, you kind of all see that there are, uh, there's not many people kind of coming and going. But you see a large, let me see this music is like.

I got a deal with that musica. So we have to go back to Germany and listen to some crafts work. And so you're all, so basically you see a large wooden gate. And as soon as you all approach, you kind of all have to stop all at the same point, the rest of you catch up with Felix. as you hear kind of some shouting. As you see this large, tall, wooden gate, probably looks about, like, 20 feet tall.

And there seems to be some shrugging behind it where, of course, some centuries are walking back and forth along this wall. You kind of hear that loud roaring of the waterfall next to you. And they say, oh, they seem fine. And they just take a look. And they're like, yeah, sure. And then you hear,

and then you hear, and then. the large wooden gate slides open and you step in Keirstein. I'm leaving the way, I'm swaggering. As much as I can keep to the front of this group, I try to keep to the front of that case every day. Okay, so Caprius just kind of like jaunts up ahead and just kind of is swaggering about.
