up and bears down.

This is the same silhouette he saw in the light of a star.

You race forward, drawing your weapons, drawing your magics, stealing yourself for a fight with
the unknown and hoping you will live to see the other side.

I would, if I would believe that this is fine in this moment,
as I enter into the darkness of the basement,
I would cast a combination of just fire, bullet, and control flames immediately
to ignite my palm and cast light throughout the basement.
You reach your hand out, and you focus on your sorcery, your bloodline,
your draconic bloodline, and you start to sweat.
You know that with just a snap of your fingers,
you would be able to create that flame,
but your heart starts racing.
You start feeling almost like you're suffocating,
just thinking about the possibility of producing this flame.
You want to, but you're afraid.
You're afraid to create this flame in your hand.
It seems like it would be easier to walk into a dark,
scary basement such as this,
than it would be to look at that burning bright light.

These creatures seem to be an amalgamation of the things that you remember.
A resemblance of what stories you've heard of skeletons that exist on the, in crash ships,
around lighthouses, stories of them coming back to life and returning to the shore for whatever.
unknowable purpose they happen to shamble up for.
But also sea creatures.
Some of them seem to have scales and fins across the top of their head.
Gills, these sorts of features.
Strange jaws and teeth, razor sharp like a piranha almost.
They all have slightly different characteristics.
They are not shifting.
They are still present, but they don't seem to match any of the templates,
and yet they match all of them from your experience.
I look at Yornear.
Does it feel like we would be totally outmatched
trying to, like, fight or kill these things?
It almost feels like looking down at an army.
