Starting point is 00:00:00 Thank you all for being here with us tonight. This is Neon Odyssey. We'll see you out amongst the stars. That's why you... Possibilities stretch out before you. What awaits down the path you will have to choose. We leave our homes with our sights set on freedom and adventure. As we search, we are always asking questions.
Starting point is 00:03:55 What's out there? What's waiting for me? Believe in yourself and create your own destiny. Don't fear failure. The call to adventure is a track ever playing on the record of infinity. Few have danced to its beat with more rhythm than the crew of the Rhapsody. Blasting through Etherlands, they charge forward to chart their own destiny, whatever may come. As the large customized ship of Wrette sails through space on its way to their next adventure, the crew enjoys some hard-earned downtime.
Starting point is 00:04:44 As we peer into the ship, we'll take a look at what the crew is up to. I would love to start with Coe, if you'd be so kind. I think that I would be in the gym of Rhapsody. I've found an old punching bag, or I bought one with the light slate allowance that I'll get. And I'm just in there beating the shit out. I haven't been able to, you know, beat up any ruffians, anyone. I haven't been allowed to drop anybody down in the elevator shafts. And so I'm just taken out.
Starting point is 00:05:26 my aggression, I'm making sure that even though I'm in outer space, I'm not getting weak. I'm away from gravity. And so I'm just, I'm kicking ass. Always staying sharp for the next adventure. You're in the gym, training hard, battling, throwing punches, keeping your senses and your fighting ability to the highest, the highest, most honed level. Ziggy. I'll also spend my time in the gym. making sure that I remain as primed for the adventure. You know, I spent five minutes in the gym. That counts.
Starting point is 00:06:08 I spent five minutes in the gym and then I go back to my room and I play video games. And when I realized that I flattened them every single one of the ones that I've owned, I reset, clear them, and start again. You spend your five minutes in the gym checking in on Coe saying, hey, how's it going, before inevitably making your way back to your room to refresh.
Starting point is 00:06:30 Oh, you need that barbell? I got it for you. Are you just gonna take a bench and sit and play on your phone in your weight? I'm gonna get it. Just for me. We're gonna a fucking hour. Grab it. What am I supposed to do with this? They use the muscles and the and the lifting and the whole. It's leg day. Oh, okay. I'm sorry. Doing great. You're doing great, Ziggs. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:07:05 You're five minutes up. You make you. You make you. your way back to your room, where you also enjoy your much-deserved downtime. Pixel, where do we find you? Oh, Pixel's been in her room the entire time reading Nilari Nights. It's her favorite magazine. Yeah, that was coming. I shouldn't know it. But when she's not reading Nilari Nights, she's reading her favorite book series,
Starting point is 00:07:32 Cosmos of Star Dardust and Galaxies. It's Romanticity, a Spade's Romantic. Excellent. You're sitting in your room. And writing songs. She's writing songs. And, you know. Drinking in the creativity of the stories of the stars while you read Nilari Nauri Nights. Looking at Nalari Nights. There's in fact just one page.
Starting point is 00:07:57 You haven't flipped through. There's one page that just... It just really stands out. It really stands out. You bought the whole, you bought the whole zine for one single frame. but you're using all this new inspiration to be the spark to write new songs that you'll perform or maybe not you'll perform at your leisure should you choose to do so oh well on on the nights when everyone is in the common space pixel will put on her own little shows excellent absolutely
Starting point is 00:08:32 they don't watch them most of the time but she does in the lounge playing the new songs about nalari nights for the whole crew as you gather in the evenings with brand new tunes for everyone to jam to. Ophelia. I think Ophelia would be probably in the common area, enjoying a startini, taking her rifle apart,
Starting point is 00:09:02 boiling it, putting it back together, but slow, just kind of as a relaxation technique. Taking a sip now and then making sure everything's just right. Also making sure that your skill set stays sharp, taking care of your trusted weapon, ensuring that it never fails you in the field as you continue. Even in this relaxed moment, you continue to stay on top, sharp and ready for whatever comes next. Preparation is key.
Starting point is 00:09:34 Pipe. I would say most days, Pike and Coe, actually cross pads in the gym. But whereas Coe is doing her strength training routine, Pike is staying fast, quick. And we would do a lot of sparring, I think. But we would spar towards the end of my exercise as yours is kind of just beginning.
Starting point is 00:09:55 And we would go our separate ways. So while Coe is getting into the thick of her workout, I'm already winding down meditating, praying, cooling off, and looking out the viewport. onto the absolute magnificence that is the galaxy. You meet in the gym often as you cool down, you have your cool down period and your warm-up period together, as you spar almost a daily activity,
Starting point is 00:10:21 once more, always staying ready, staying sharp. And as Coe begins to get into the lifting, get in the heavy training, retain that power, sharpen it, push it even further, you work on your mindfulness as you peer out the viewpoint. serving the galaxy around you. Brett? I would be probably in my, like, desk on the side of the main lounge, the Rhapsody,
Starting point is 00:10:54 and I would be doing whatever true machinist would be doing, the budget. I'll be going over their finances, and I don't know necessarily how well the bounties have been paying, I know we have a lot of expenses, especially with that new flight simulator. Are you saying that we're in debt? You know, we might be. There is a debt section on the character here. What's the flight simulator sound like, Derek?
Starting point is 00:11:21 Yeah, Derek. And do you know how much RAM costs this is? Wow. The inclusion of Ziggy has absolutely spiked your outgoing funds. As you review this paperwork, you are not currently in extreme levels of debt, but you can forecast and you can come to the conclusion that if you don't get on the trail of a bounty soon, you will probably begin to break into debt in the next six
Starting point is 00:11:52 to seven weeks. I don't want that. I don't know that. Should we talk about what our species, our class, and our... Oh, I love that. I love that. I'm sorry, yes. We absolutely should do that. If we just want to start with Pixel and go around, I think that, or we can start with Rhett and go the other way.
Starting point is 00:12:15 Whatever feels comfortable. Yeah, the same order again. Yeah, the exact same mortar again. The exact same mortar again. I went a little all over the place last time. But go! What is your species? What is your class?
Starting point is 00:12:26 And what is your subclass? I am co-tentatorra. I am a rhizzo that is my species. And I am an enforcer, which means that I live by a code and I gained some sort of supernatural cosmic power through a code that I keep and something that happened in my life that I lived or was willing to live and die
Starting point is 00:12:52 by this code that granted me this power. And my renegade, my subclass is the renegade and means I don't fight fair at all. It's Arizo, Mike. Ariseo is a species that has a storming soul. They come from the planet of Goro, and they are connected to, they're an oni-like species,
Starting point is 00:13:13 they're connected to thunder, lightning, and rain. And if you've been watching Starz of Trapsity Anthem, you may notice some changes. Should I talk about background? Why just read off each of these and we can, yeah, yeah. My background is the streetrunner. I grew up in the streets in desperate poverty. Very lower middle class then desperate poverty,
Starting point is 00:13:38 if you know, Starter's Fratsity. And I, yeah, You know, it's really affected my moral code, is what I'll say. And I've got very cool enforcer stuff. Derek. Very cool. Ziggy. Ziggy is a Sarian. You will see from his art right here, that he is a triceratops-like looking dino person very much,
Starting point is 00:14:02 but not all sarians look like that. They can look like a variety of dino-themed looks and feels. And he is a gridrunner. That is his class. He's been a gridrunner for as long as you've known him, but his subclass is hypercoder. That's right. I'm a hypercoder.
Starting point is 00:14:20 Bad ass. Thank you. I agree. And in addition to his Sarian lineage being rockhide, which comes with some specific benefits, depending on the choice that I make for this character, I also have a background of techie. It's not part of my background, aside from flavor.
Starting point is 00:14:39 I'll say that I grew up in desperate wealth. But I am very familiar with all things software and tech related. Video games are certainly a part of that, but I'm a good coder, as is Ritt in my subclass name. That's Ziggy. Pixel. I'm playing Pixel Pop. She is a globulin icon of the HoloStar variety. And I'm still thinking about the Mallory, so I don't really know what Derek said.
Starting point is 00:15:12 but I am an envoy as my background. And basically me, she's just very charismatic and influential. And that's really all I'm going to say about her. Did you say your class and subclass? Yeah, I did. I said I was a globlen icon of the hology. Sorry, I was thinking about the glory. I didn't even say, you said it.
Starting point is 00:15:35 In the same place. Oh, yeah, exactly. You don't know what you did with that art. You don't understand. It's a problem. Ophelia. All right, I'm playing Ophelia Callos, and this is Gorgonite, is her species,
Starting point is 00:15:50 so Snake Mommy. She class is the scoundrel and subclass operative. So I don't know how you want to, do you have anything special you'd like to say about that? Secret agent? Yeah, very secret agent. James Boggs, Joanna Dark. Yeah, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:16:09 Background is agent. Speaking of secret agent, the background. Background is the agent, so I won't read all of that, but I just want to read the last sentence because I'd like it. Whether you stole secrets, guarded them, or shaped what others believed, you finished the mission and disappeared
Starting point is 00:16:24 before anyone knew to look. Damn, that's pretty cool stuff. If Nikki's distracted by Shadow Daddy art, I'm distracted by this art over here. I'm extremely distracted. There are two really big things that I love on this. Are there cheeks? Oh my gosh.
Starting point is 00:16:39 It's the class and subclass. There's just a lot of good stuff going. Class and some. A lot of great some really some really massive features Mike who are you? I played Park starfall my species is Solari and again like Derek said before you knew all of the information you knew that that Pike was a disciple and I am a godhand
Starting point is 00:17:01 basically one of the cool things is that I have a feature that's called Star Gauntlet so you guys know that I have my magic gauntlet that has a resonation with my soul and the beliefs that I have. There is a divine element to this class and subclass. And my background is adherent, which means that I grew up in or have strong ties to religious, spiritual, or philosophical community. And again, if you've watched any of Anthem, you will have seen some of that come through already. And Rhett. I'm playing Rhett Indigo, Captain of the Rhapsody. He is an Etheron, which is a space dwarf with a tie to ether that makes up space and the kind of matter and gravity that comes from that.
Starting point is 00:17:48 And he's a Gravgunner machinist. Obviously, machinist is your classic tech vibes and building stuff, fixing stuff. But the Gravgunner subclass is a subclass that has advanced technology and weaponry that uses things like ether or gravitons to blow people up. and uses gravity tech to be able to hold giant weapons that normally wouldn't be possible, so you can be heavy weapons. Heavy weapons. War crimes, perhaps. Exactly right.
Starting point is 00:18:21 And his background is mercenary. And I'll read a little bit of it. Speaking of war crimes. Yeah, it's speaking of war crimes. The lesson from your past is if you're good at something, you don't offer that service for free. Oh, shit. I got to remind the most important lesson of the adherence life is that living, intentional community takes work.
Starting point is 00:18:41 Oh, wow. That's a cold-out shit and shit. That's the truth. That is the truth. Holy smokes. That's it. Okay. Then thank you all for introducing yourselves.
Starting point is 00:18:51 We are back. Rhett. You have just discovered that you are rapidly approaching. The cash burn is on flames, and you are rapidly approaching debt in several weeks if you don't pick up work. I look for. work. I'll pick up the phone and I will call one of my like a phone from the 80s. I'm gonna walk to the wall. It's got the it's got the rubber they're twisted around right
Starting point is 00:19:25 there's one twist and just can't fix. What about like one of the clear ones where you can see all the inside. I love those. You know I think I would have upgraded for that. Yeah you definitely would have. I'm gonna pick it up off of the wall. Because this is the space 80s, I've memorized Rhett's phone number. And so I type it in. And I let it ring. Or a graph's phone number. Yeah, I type it out.
Starting point is 00:19:49 Absolutely. You take your corded phone off the wall. You punch in the number. And you call your contact graph. There's a ring. Bring. For a little bit before the gruff voice picks up on the other side. in here,
Starting point is 00:20:10 Hello? Hey, Graf, how's it going? Hey, Red, yeah. It's good. How's it going with you? Not too bad, not too bad, but I've seen to taking on some expenses
Starting point is 00:20:23 and I've grown my crew a little beyond our current means and funds are running low. I'll just cut right to the chase. I'm looking for work. If you have any leads on anybody, anything, you know, any hot bounties,
Starting point is 00:20:36 get an early scoop. I really need to be. a sure thing. Well, you're looking for another bounty already. I thought you guys were set after the last one for some time. That's what I thought to. I look, it's bad, okay? I'm going to fix it. We're going to start budgeting.
Starting point is 00:20:54 I'm going to give everybody an allowance. But until I work up the mental constitution to have those conversations, it is what it is. All right. Well, let me check the, let me check the GBG database here. Let me see what's flagged. Yeah, that one. It's probably out of your league. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:14 No, that one too. Yeah. This probably wouldn't even cover you. This is beneath you. Let's see. This one's showing promise. I got one here. I'm going to send over to your unit.
Starting point is 00:21:32 I think this one might work for you. This looks about, this looks about to be your speed. Dr. Joseph Kowalski says here he's wanted for murder of anitrons and isotrons. Theft of robots, other property of killworry industries. They want them back, they want the stuff back. You can bring him in. You're looking at a pretty good payday. Should set you up for several months here, at least while you find the next one.
Starting point is 00:22:05 All right, well, if you have any info on them, then this is cleared by the guild, right? Like there's nothing shady about this? No, this comes straight from the GBG. I can send it over to you. I'll get you the whole packet. It looks like, I mean, just at a glance, apparently last sighting of them was on Goro. So, you know, that's something. And if I'm looking at this, the night market district in 10,000,
Starting point is 00:22:35 Tyro. Might be where he pick up some leads on them. All right. City of Tyro. You got it. That's right, Rat. I owe you one. I'll get you a bottle of what's it. That thing you like. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:53 I wrote down, sir. Anyway. It's a case of Pal heavy. Oh, yeah. You know what a case that? Yeah. Some of a case of Pal heavy. That'll swear or so. Oh, that's the why. Oh, you know, same old, same old. All right, Graf.
Starting point is 00:23:14 Can't get rid of her? Can't live without her. All right, just send over those files, and I'll get to it. All right, you should see it in coming now. Hey, Rhett. Yeah. Good hunting. Stay safe out there. Thanks, Graf.
Starting point is 00:23:30 All right. All right. All right. No, you're not going to get. All right, all right. No, you know what we do is. Every time, man. Hang on the phone.
Starting point is 00:23:44 I just can't. It's too good to hear your voice. I don't want to cut it off too early. Man, all right. Shut up a man, his wife. Oh, God. Team meeting.
Starting point is 00:24:00 And I'll call everybody to the lounge. You slam the announcement. And you, uh, you call everybody. everyone to the lounge, the almost over a PA system, the shout to gather will ring out throughout the Rhapsody. All of you in your respective places wherever you currently find yourselves, maybe the gym, maybe your rooms, maybe already at a table,
Starting point is 00:24:24 maybe in the flight simulator or playing a video game. You start to make your way towards where you know you will find Red. You start heading towards the lounge of the Rhapsody, ship you've come to call home. It's hexagonal hallways draw you to its center where you find Rep. You enter the lounge. In the middle of the room two steps down, you see the familiar crescent couch warmly welcoming you to come and relax. The static from the TV and the music from thoroughfare combatants to left on is the only noise that accompanies the flipping of pages as you look over at Red. He stands off to the side in the kitchen section of the lounge,
Starting point is 00:25:04 a familiar metal table between you and he. You can see he has a myriad of papers spread out in front of him, and Hank, his robobug, lay sleeping soundly at his feet. Brett, this better be good. We're almost out of booze. We're almost out of notes. I see where your priorities are, though. Look, I think I got a pretty solid lead,
Starting point is 00:25:28 but he seems like a pretty tough customer. Rhett, this better be good. I almost got the next sigil memory in StarWake. Echoes with the Numbular Arc. Are you still playing that nerd shit? I started over. I finished it. Can we play Thorough Fair Combatant 2 while we have the meeting? Can we focus? Who's the mark?
Starting point is 00:25:48 Yeah, you can play a game as long as you listen. The mark. Yeah, focus. Can you believe this? We can multitask, right? Oh, yeah, easy. Joseph Kowalski. All right? And allegedly, he's been messing with Kilroy Industries. he's been stealing their bots
Starting point is 00:26:04 stealing their bots and murdering anitrons and Issafe wait so is this guy some sort of like serial killer is that what we're dealing with it's kind of what it sounded like yeah I mean he's killing me
Starting point is 00:26:20 what he's not just robo theft and I can't imagine Kilroy is too happy about it so sounds like the bounty will tie us over long enough at least to find the next one.
Starting point is 00:26:35 Sonic boom. Sonic boom. Hey, he's suck at this. Oh, damn it. This game is about finesse. You can't just match the buttons. Sonic boom. Sonic just get out of the corners.
Starting point is 00:26:46 He'd get out of the corner. Sonic boom. No, I can. There's no way to counter this. Sonic boom. This is harsh shit. Isn't the kids supposed to be good at video games? What's going on?
Starting point is 00:26:57 I'm one of the best. Not? You play Sonic Boom. Over and over and over. Anyways, yeah. We'll save this quality guy. He seems like a great guy. Yeah, we'll rescue him.
Starting point is 00:27:05 We'll rescue him no time in his cats. Wait, we're gonna go somewhere? Yeah, I think there's a guy with a guy like a Claudein that's missing or something, and we're gonna go save him. Oh no, but I wanted to take a nap. I didn't say nothing about a Claudein or a cat. What the hell are you?
Starting point is 00:27:20 Get off the game. All right. Well, I'm tired of playing. Anyway. I turn off to me. So what are we doing? Well, we're gonna go find this guy. He's on Goro.
Starting point is 00:27:32 What? I mean, because we're bounty hunter, fix them. Yeah, but I take a really long break. Like, you're doing a lot of work and stuff, and you're doing really great within the moment you take a long break. It's really hard to do work again. Yeah, I can see how that's true.
Starting point is 00:27:51 You've got to ease back into it, I suppose. And I have three more chapters left of Millarie nights. Well, we still got to get there first. Yeah. I mean, it only takes what, like three days to read one chapter or something? Right? Like three days to read a chapter, right? Well, I mean, it depends on what kind of chapter it is, you know, if it's got certain content in it,
Starting point is 00:28:16 it might take a little longer than the others. Two days if there's pictures, maybe? Yeah, definitely two days if there's pictures. Wait, did they make the Lari Knights who pictures? What the fuck is Nilari Knights? Well, there were two different kinds. There's the magazine, which does. have pictures. That one's really nice.
Starting point is 00:28:34 And then there's this book. I don't know what you're talking about. This one just has words in it. Oh, look. I love my metal magazines. They had a feature on Widows Whale. Well, this one's about a specific nalorian. He falls in love with this girl who's, like,
Starting point is 00:28:50 pretty but also not really pretty at the same time. She's kind of unassuming and people aren't really interested in her. But then because of who she is and she's also super special, She was born with special abilities, everyone else had. And so he falls in love for Goro. She was about in nowhere, and then they're gonna get married. Oh, and they have a fate touched bond.
Starting point is 00:29:14 And he knows it, but she doesn't know it. I said a course for Goro, Wall Pixel. You start charting a course for Goro. You start charting a course for Goro. You know that recently, you took on some work that got you in a little bit of hot water with the Empire. So you've been lying low from them. You're voiding the use of their galactic gateways that would really easily allow you to travel from one section of space to another.
Starting point is 00:29:50 Because of this, as Hank plots the course, he plots it using the ether lanes. A slower method of travel open towards all nether lanes. manner of you could encounter through space as opposed to the gates that would get you very close to the sector you're seeking. Less regulated. Less regulated, absolutely. So you set a course,
Starting point is 00:30:18 you begin to blast off, and you know that probably this will take you somewhere around two and a half weeks to get there. I can't afford the gates right now, and even if I could. Exactly how tight are our funds? We do have money though, right?
Starting point is 00:30:36 Because this is only book one in a 17 book series. Well, I mean, you're going to have two and a half weeks. Yeah, and I'll be through the first 15 books in two or three days. Our funds, they're fine for now, but if we don't get this guy quick, we're going to have to use it. Wait, credit card? That's the stuff where the free money comes out of, right? Yes, yes, that is exactly correct. It's not free money.
Starting point is 00:31:14 They would never give me a credit card. I always thought I was like, I don't know how those rich assholes did it. No, I mean, they'll hand a next card to any, you know, Joe Schmoa on the street. Yeah, I got 15 the other night. And then you just pay the monthly minimums, and then in all of the sudden... You have to pay the monthly minimums? Of course you have to pay the monthly minimums. Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:31:33 It's not free money. Really? I don't know. Look, in the next two and a half weeks, I'm going to give you a lesson. on personal finance. They didn't say that, though, probably. Say what? None of them.
Starting point is 00:31:51 We have a lot of work to do. Yeah, they're not, I just click the button. Get caught, get caught, get caught, get caught, get caught. All right, pixel. Instead of Nilari Knights, it sounds like you're going to be reading Ether on accounting. Not again.
Starting point is 00:32:05 All right. And with that, you make your way into the Ether lanes. You plot a course, Hank plots a course, You set off on this journey. You know it'll take about two and a half weeks. You all have established kind of what you use the time to do as you prepare, as you go to get ready.
Starting point is 00:32:28 With this bounty ahead of you, I don't know if anyone would do anything different or specific, but otherwise, we will move the travel forward. I would probably want to be doing any kind of like research that's out there about reporting. of any of these murdered anitrons or isotrons to see like news articles, yeah, like public things that might be like showing us what's going on. Roll a investigation check. Our first roll of the night.
Starting point is 00:32:59 I just really wanted to roll. Yeah. Well done, Kel's. Because I have these nice ones. I don't even have dice on it. It wasn't, it wasn't. In classic Kelsey fashion, I rolled two and so thusly got a three. Brutal.
Starting point is 00:33:13 With a three. They're keeping the investigative force on Goro's, keeping a pretty tight control on specifics around these cases. So far, you've only been able to determine that there are about five confirmed anatron or isotron. An aotron and Isotron kills. But no more about the manner in which they were,
Starting point is 00:33:47 how they're found. No more specifics beyond that. Cool. So he's only targeting Anatrons and Isotrons? And he did Waterman? No, I think we clear that up. We don't know who he is. No, I didn't give his policies.
Starting point is 00:34:04 Did I? There was a photo of him. I'm sorry. There was a photo of him in there. He is a stardust human. He has, in the photo, he's wearing what looked like kind of a white lab coat. He has this bulbous nose with these very dark, thick rim black glasses.
Starting point is 00:34:21 I want to do. He has this wacky, this wacky, cooey hair extruding from his head that kind of falls about his shoulders in all manners. Oftentimes, he's depicted as wearing a sweater that has Sorinian on it. This guy. Why is it always these science types?
Starting point is 00:34:42 And he has, in his hair is like kind of almost, almost like snow white. Does he look like he's got a taste for blood? No, I don't know this guy. Why? Oh, because I thought all of you guys knew each other. No, just because he has a sweater with a sariant on him. Very specific. It's a really weird looking sari. Should I get a sweater with a human on it?
Starting point is 00:35:04 It's weird. I mean, yeah, I feel like these doctor types, you know, maybe they just get so accomplished with their accolades and research that they're looking for that next hit, you know, when they search for the tab. Feeding their ego. He doesn't look like a killer, not to me. Well, yeah, but Zicki doesn't look like a killer and he's got the highest body count of all of us. Killco. You don't know. We thought we can eat body count
Starting point is 00:35:40 That's right I have a feeling that if you multiply His body count by a million You get zero Thanks Hicks Let's not have this conversation right now Okay
Starting point is 00:35:57 No he is just a human And look maybe he just He just lost it one day Who knows why Right regardless we're bringing them in He's a real sick fuck If he's just targeting just two species Yeah, a buddy's also stealing bots too
Starting point is 00:36:16 Wait, what species is he talking about? Quottering? We don't know we talked about this. Oh. Anitrons, which are the robots of this galaxy, and isotrons which are like digital beings taking material form. And you don't know this guy? I feel like I should know him, but he's a killer. We're not supposed to save him at all. I was dead wrong when I was listening so closely and intently
Starting point is 00:36:39 at the beginning of this mission. All right, we'll be there in Hurry, right, right. Took two weeks and made it. Yeah, exactly right. You've made it one day into the etherlands. What are we going to do in the meantime?
Starting point is 00:36:58 So we have to work on your accounting and finances. It's been about two weeks since you've set off into the etherlands. You know that you are closing in on Goro. You, as you once more, you're up, you take your seat, wrette in the captain's chair, just reviewing the ship as you would normally. Hank has kept a steady path on the course. And everything seems to be going according to plan.
Starting point is 00:37:30 You're close to your bounty. The world is within striking distance. though this started off with notes in need there's a promise here there's an optimism that you're on the right track and this is something that you think you might easily be able to take care of
Starting point is 00:37:49 and it's as that thoughts going through your head that the first thing that happens is Hank starts barking but it's a is a bark nice classic loving scratch my head bark He turns, he whips around towards you. As immediately following, an alert goes off throughout the ship. Void anomaly detected.
Starting point is 00:38:17 Oh, no. Void anomaly. And as you look at the instruments, it can't be. You see outside the Rhapsody pointing the instruments, the deep instruments, scanning out into the, uh, into space. You see what looks like a line start to tear open in the night as it stretches, a mouth opening wide. As you hear once more void anomaly detected. Pouring out of it, you see four starships that look almost like black manta rays with these purple lines painted
Starting point is 00:38:57 across the top of them. Nilari warships are headed straight for you. Have we ever seen this before? many of us ever experienced this before? I would say you know of Nilari Raiders. I jump out into open space. Oh, that's right, yeah. I didn't think about this. I didn't think about this, yeah. We lost it.
Starting point is 00:39:21 Pixel is ready to be boarded. She didn't even notice what happened. That's the funny is fake. She's got a new crew now. Pixel says, board me, board me everybody. She switched signs, right? Yes, you have never, you've never been besieged by Nilari Raiders before.
Starting point is 00:39:38 But you know of Nilari Raiders, beseeching the ether lanes, you know that these portals can tear open, you know that they live within these wormholes kind of between, and that they've been known to escape out of these openings, go out and pillage as it were. And I'm gonna need everybody to roll for an issue.
Starting point is 00:40:07 Oh shit. Oh my gosh. For first. Yeah, we're doing it. We're doing it. We're believing and fighting the lari. I'm not lying that. Here, I put it down on my computer. Do we have to kill them?
Starting point is 00:40:23 Maybe we should take some of them prisoners. You'll find a place for this. Yeah, we have to work together here. Oh yeah, yeah. And once more, eats the pre, old friends. I will pass. Pass out your ships.
Starting point is 00:40:41 Hell yeah. Hell yeah. Hell yeah. Where's me? Thank you. There it is. It's gonna be on your sheets. What?
Starting point is 00:40:51 Your ship's gonna have a different issue. Oh, good call. We are going, Mesa passing out some handy, dandy reference sheets for our Starship Combat and Vehicle Rules, which you can access right now. Right now. By being a VIP at neonrpg.com. I almost said the crooked moon.com. My shilling is so, uh,
Starting point is 00:41:12 It's so, uh, muscle memory. Uh, neon RPG.com becoming a VIP for $1, you immediately get a massive playtest document. You can pass here the camera, too. When I were gonna have, yeah, you can just put it over top here. It's fine. Oh, it's so heavy. Oh, gosh. Let's figure out how you want us positioned there, Mesa Reno.
Starting point is 00:41:34 Oh, yeah. We'll say that, uh, presumably we're scrambling towards our star, you are, we'll put you guys. Yeah, that's perfect. And then these Nauri start, I mean, this is... I'm gonna need some D-6s. I do. I can believe you would do this to me. You can kind of, yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:56 I didn't think, I didn't know it was gonna go this one. You didn't think this through. I didn't know that Nauri art was gonna feature so heavily when I started building this out. I did. That's very funny. Captain Marketing. To the rest,
Starting point is 00:42:12 The rest of them. Oh. The other thing I have my. You know what I'm really stupid? I got my Stardust dice. Can I bring them tonight? Oh. I can't believe my brain reminded me to grab my dice.
Starting point is 00:42:27 I'm so, thank you, Brain. Thank you. You have the Stardust dice? No, I have. Oh, oh, the Zicky dice. Oh, that's so cool. Oh. All right, I'm gonna do some sheets really quick.
Starting point is 00:42:39 And this music is off. the hook. In our Kickstarter, you'll be able to get wonderful maps. This is probably just one of them. And you can see that this is hexes. So our space combat is on one inch hexes. And facing matters. Facing matters. Facing matters. And it's very fun. Yes. I guess that should roll for initiative. Oh, geez. Okay. I can refer to my handy-dandy character sheet in order to roll for initiative. Oh, you just refer to your ships. I think it's all done for us. I'm sorry. Wherever you want to put me.
Starting point is 00:43:13 I'm good with anything. I was just trying to cluster itself a little bit, so it weren't like all haphazard. Oh. I didn't count. All right. I need to get my other deep tents. Do these Corsairs look affiliated with the Void Dominium?
Starting point is 00:43:45 Or not. That's a great question. I guess it's probably no doomed. Yeah, it would be totally fucked. Yeah, you're correct. They do not look affiliated with the Void Dominium. This looks. to be just like a roving band of Nullori pirates as it were okay okay so the
Starting point is 00:44:10 context here is killer be killed exactly right killer be boarded and be besieged by this evisaged by pirates oh boy oh what is the alarm on the rhapsody sound like oh brah right exactly these red You see the nalori, you see the wormhole open up in front of you. These Nullari starships pouring out. These almost black manor rays start flying towards the Rhapsody. And you know that, you know that their intent is singular. They are blasting towards you to board, to either scuttle the rhapsody, take it,
Starting point is 00:45:12 take your personal ships, take you for whatever you have and whatever you're worth. Oh, my man. There is one. There is only one option, depending on who you ask. There's only one option in how you move forward. It's time to scramble the ships. Oh man. To the hangar.
Starting point is 00:45:33 Let's go! You all start racing down as the red light blasts through the hallway. As you all start racing towards the hangar bay, it bursts open in front of you. The magnetic holds of each of each of you. holds of each of your ships connecting to the side in two different levels. As they start to pop out and descend towards you, you race up and you each hop into your own ship.
Starting point is 00:46:01 Initiative 20 to 25. 24. 24. Hot tall. Smokes. What the hell? Oh, Hyperion's already up here. You run towards your green ship shaped with the two prongs out.
Starting point is 00:46:16 the sides and the one motioning forward. As you launch up into the cockpit, you plug your grid boy in, and the screen's light in front of you as it's waiting to accept your code. You move into the center as the mags release you and you jettison out into space. 15 to 20. 19. 15. 17.
Starting point is 00:46:38 Holy smokes. 19. Thunderfang was 17. Sparrow was 15. Correct. White Sprite. I got a nine. I rolled a nine. Thunder Fang.
Starting point is 00:46:51 Ow! Shown. Sparrow. You two? 13. 13. Rhett, what'd you get? Six. Six. Oof.
Starting point is 00:47:08 Okay. You all start leaping into your ships. Pixel, you run towards yours, almost shape like a fairy picks itself. That orbed cockpit. You jump in as the fairy wings of your... of your ship, extend behind you. The mag release, as you move to the center of the hangar bay, and it launches you out into space.
Starting point is 00:47:31 Co, you leap into the Thunder Fang, controls shaped like your motorcycle, as the lightning crackles connecting to each side of your arms of your ship, as once more the Magerlease hits, you jettison into space. Pike, you leap into the cockles, cockpit of the sparrow. You punch the controls forward. You hit the pedals. You pull the levers.
Starting point is 00:47:58 As it spins off the mag release, you definitely land in the center of the runway and the hangar and expertly jettison into space, comfortable and confident as you move out there. Ophelia, you lunge into the Daphne. Its sleek body releases from the mag the mag hold as it wants more takes to the center of the ship and you launch into space. And then, Rhett, finally, seeing your crew all take the fight out. You hop into the ether barge. It's domed window in front of you. It's hulking body, almost a smaller form of the Rhapsody,
Starting point is 00:48:43 but a little denser, chunkier. As the mag release sets you free as the last. to push off into space. And all of you jettison out, as you see now, those Black Nilari Starfighters with the purple streaks running down their back of the pulsating void energy. And Ziggy, you were the first to engage.
Starting point is 00:49:09 All right, I am going to jump into my cockpit. We're all flying out through the empty space, and I will, I'll, fixate on the number of video games that I've been playing, priming me so perfectly for all of this experience. I'll say, in the pipe, five by five, which is 25. And then I'm going to slip in between my two companions here. And I'm going to...
Starting point is 00:49:45 I know they're expensive, red. I'm sorry, but I have to. And I'm going to lift a finger, and I'm going to push a button and out from the side of one of my... extended wings here, a missile is going to drop and I'm going to use Trojan missile. Bad ass. I fire a missile at a target on its sensors within 50 hexes and I'll make an attack roll when it enters the target space. But what I cannot find I'm desperately
Starting point is 00:50:13 searching for it is how many spaces the missile moves on my turn. Do you have that information? I believe it is on the missile staff block. I think it moves. I I want to see it moves like nine hexes. Like it moves pretty far. It's nine hexes. Yeah. Okay. I don't have a tracker either, but we're gonna go.
Starting point is 00:50:31 Use a D4, but that's what we did last time. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep. Or however many like rounds it lasts if it's D6. I think we used D6's last time. We tracked with the rounds. How much fuel it had? We did that at 1.1.2. Nope. I'll use this and the four will be,
Starting point is 00:50:47 oh no, the one for sure will be the four, five, six, seven, eight. And I think it's a four, actually turns is a movement. So it doesn't enter the space, it just barely swings forward. Actually, yeah, no, I'm gonna, I'm gonna keep it there. And I...
Starting point is 00:51:12 Could you have moved one space closer when you flew? There we go. I love that. I love that. Let's call it a strike. Perfect. That's gonna be a 24 to hit. Oh, 24 hits. Huge. missile look like as it fires out from the Hyperion or the Double Dash? It is a... It flies forward.
Starting point is 00:51:41 The stream behind it is what makes it so visually apparent. There's this very thin, almost rail-like green beam that starts off as bright neon and then shifts off into a gradient. I'm thinking of the way that the lights trail in Akira whenever one of the motorcycles moves around. It moves forward. If you were to look closely, you'd be able to see the almost like
Starting point is 00:52:07 PlayStation 1 low-poly fizz that happens at the blackback of the rocket as it jets forward. It flies forward and collides with the side of this Nilari ship. This neon green light cuts through the air as your missile flies towards the first Nullari Starfighter.
Starting point is 00:52:24 I hear... Pixel screaming at me, but I'm... But how do we know they're bad guy? Also, don't say, Cockpit when the Nilar's around. Jeez. Holy cow. Crush this guy.
Starting point is 00:52:41 That's going to be 50 points of lightning damage. 50? Which number is this? That's number one. 50 points of lightning damage. That's cut. Oh my god. I only have two of these.
Starting point is 00:53:10 This is a catastrophic hit, which you see as the missile lands and blows up, you take out a whole wing of this enlarge ship, and it starts to be incapable of flying straight. It's now kind of like wavering as it moves through the air. I also made some special modifications to my missile. When the wing blasts off, you're You can see this crackling hypergrid energy spread all the way around the surface of the ship. Number one will subtract D10 from all D20 tests until it started my next turn. Wow. Got it.
Starting point is 00:53:54 Yes! You land an unbelievable blast as this eruption of neon green hits the ship and then moves and then captures it as it looks to be messing with its targeting systems. Light Sprite. Oh, good, but this is so beautiful. Oh, well.
Starting point is 00:54:14 And I'm gonna move up. How much move did you have? I don't remember. Did they come over the inner column and talk to Pixel? 30. No, they don't come over the inner. Five, six.
Starting point is 00:54:24 They know what they are. Oh, no. I'm blocking their thing. How many hexes you wanna move? I wanna move within nine hexes. This one if I can. Oh, sure, easy. Oh, hello, pixel.
Starting point is 00:54:36 It's us, the Nilaria. Five, six. How clothed are you in there? We're not clothed at all. Underwears option on the void. Oh, okay. Give me a couple. It's eight.
Starting point is 00:54:48 Biggs have. Give me a second. The comms are not happening. The comms are not happening. Zero. Maybe, me, mindy, Mo. Do I shoot the Nullari with my missile? Yes or no.
Starting point is 00:55:01 Yes. Damn it, okay. And then I'm gonna crank back a glitter missile. And I'm gonna shoot a glitter missile. at this guy. Do you have a D4 we could steal? Which one is that? Which one is that?
Starting point is 00:55:13 It'll be number four. Number four, okay. So you make nine and lands on here. I like that. I can't let you tempt me. I'm busy, you roguish, delicious man. I just said. And I'm gonna let the glitter missile fly
Starting point is 00:55:31 and it's gonna hit with a 30. Whoa, that'll hit. That'll hit. Yeah, just missed. Holy smokes. He's roving band. That wasn't in the crits. What the fuck.
Starting point is 00:55:44 Golly. And then it's gonna do 26 points of radiant damage as the entire Nilari ship is coated in neon glitter. Nice. Ooh. Not that there are many lights out in space at all, but it's somehow picking up any bit of light and it's just causing light to kind of illuminate
Starting point is 00:56:06 around this thing. Until the start of the light sprays now. Next turn, attack rolls and vehicle wisdom checks to use sensors on the target have advantage. Oh my gosh. This glitter bomb soars through the night, illuminating all around it. And both of these missiles, as they found purchase on the Nilari ships, you'd see that at first it looks like it connected with this purplish orb that motioned around the ships. But as the missiles land and explode, those orbs are blasted away as both of them have landed direct. onto the hulls of these ships,
Starting point is 00:56:42 pixels now illuminating it in this glittering neon cascade of light. Thunderfang. I have, if there is comms, I'm not hearing it. There is heavy metal. Hell yeah. That is absolutely blasting it. And you'll hear, close the city and tell the people
Starting point is 00:57:02 that something's coming to call. And I'm, as I am blasting forward with my, I would presume that my speakers are probably also blasting out in this space. Oh, because there is noise in this space. Hell yeah. And there's also cool explosions and fire. Who would have thought? One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine.
Starting point is 00:57:28 I don't think I need to turn there. No, you're good. Okay. Ten. Sorry, nine, ten. And so I just, I don't need to actually. actually. He's very coded as get right up in the face,
Starting point is 00:57:41 even in a starship. Yeah. I get right up to him as I will press a, take a lever and pull it. And out from underneath the hash will be this, almost like this billowing storm cloud that kind of crackles. Nice. And what they don't see is my cloaking pulse mine
Starting point is 00:58:03 that I basically pull back and I do like a cool, in space, a cool Oculus. Yeah, yeah, yeah. With the Thunderfang. As I slide right in front of it, it seems like an intimidation tactic. But I stealthily put my pulse mind in his face. And I'll say, let's see you, dodge that asshole! And that's my turn.
Starting point is 00:58:25 Excellent. You pull the Akra slide. The bottom of your ship opens up, and the stealth bomb releases from it. Entering straight into their space. It is now the Nilari's turned. Is the bomb just triggered? It's when he moves or when they move out of it. Okay.
Starting point is 00:58:42 Or move into it. Yeah. Okay. Yeah, absolutely. Nice. I think all four are going to attempt to move forward closer to the party to move towards them to get in range. So that first will attempt to, or the fourth, we'll resolve that. The fourth will move forward attempting to fly past Coe to get towards the rest of the party, presumably triggering your stuff.
Starting point is 00:59:06 Yeah, so it'll do that. It needs to make a DC-15, sorry. ADC-15 dexterity saving throw. As I attempt to Django Fet him into oblivion. Oh, roll a seven. Seven, that's not gonna be enough. So I'm going to roll a bit of, oh man, I need to have more D-10s.
Starting point is 00:59:30 Yeah, they're three right here. This is using our- I can see these rods before we do anything, I guess. Eight. Hey, are you both using your missiles and bombs? 20. You only moat, no, how many no, some, cause?
Starting point is 00:59:49 I get this is a one shot, but there's always a credit card, rent. Enough of them. 48, 58. 55. 58 points of thunder damage. And it's 80s reduced by five until the start of the next turn. Oh, that's nice.
Starting point is 01:00:15 How much damage? A fifty five, 58. Woo! Got him out of here. His AC is reduced to zero. Oh. As he enters the mine in this thunderous lightning crackling boom as the mine goes off and this ship is blown into pieces
Starting point is 01:00:34 as these arcing lightning stretches out and once more illuminates the sky as he is gone from the battle. The other three will start moving forward. Um, the, basically about as close as they could get with, uh, without being, uh, they want to stay five, five hexes back from the person they're trying to shoot. Yeah, I mean, they can definitely get to basically anybody, so it's just who you want to target. They'll just move forward and they're going to shoot at, uh, is that pixel, Ziggy and the Sparrow? Six. Uh, their speed is, uh, 10 hexes. So he's got three left, seven.
Starting point is 01:01:13 So he could turn, eight, nine, ten. I think that's fine. Two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, what's to say. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine. I think that's probably fine. Yeah. Okay. Okay.
Starting point is 01:01:31 What are you guys doing? Hands up? We're coming for you, Pixel. Okay. We're coming for you. Don't ask you. We know your name. I'm right.
Starting point is 01:01:38 I'm right here. My name is. This isn't all in your head, Pixel. I can tell. We're coming for you, all three of us. Oh, God. That's a lot. In reality, though.
Starting point is 01:01:45 none of that happens. And they'll fire at Pixel, then Ziggy, than the Spiro? It's like gravity falls. With the two. Oh. That was a natural one. Oh.
Starting point is 01:01:56 Oh, yeah. Oh, okay. Here we go. 21 to hit Ziggy. Which one was firing at me? Oh. Number two. Which is the center one?
Starting point is 01:02:13 Number three is the center. The one that can fire at me, sort of through pixel, if you want to do it that way. Number two can fire at pixel. number one can fire at... Two was firing a pixel. So the far left one from me
Starting point is 01:02:24 was firing at pixel. The middle one was firing at you. And then the far right don't fire at the sparrow. They fire in like a classic crosshatch configuration. And every hex is 1,500 feet. Yes. It was really far.
Starting point is 01:02:39 Pixel, they're taking us for both sides. Oh, Jesus. Does it 21 hit, Ziggy? I don't know. I'm distracted by that. No, it does not. distracted by the Delari. These cannons on either side of the wings are firing out,
Starting point is 01:02:57 this purple pulsing blast. All through the sky, they fly around Pixel and Ziggy. Sparrow, 23. So, my AC is 23, which is meter beat, but as a reaction, I choose to jink, which means to get out of the way very quickly. The sparrow is hit by an attack roll, and the attacker is in the sparrow's front fire arc,
Starting point is 01:03:23 which we're facing each other. My response, I add 5 AC to my against the attack, possibly causing it to mix. So I see this attack coming, I definitely get out of the way. You hit the, you see, bov, boom, boom. My reaction is gone. And the shots are coming straight at you.
Starting point is 01:03:38 You spin the controls easily. You hit the pedals, and your ship flips over upside down as the shots come just under you, and you dodge them without breaking a sweat. And it is now your turn. Sweet. Then I am going to one, two, three, attempt to attack number one after making three movements.
Starting point is 01:04:01 I know how much these missiles cost, and I would never do this to my good friend, Rhett. So I will use my- One shot for- My burst cannon, no, cut that. I use my burst cannon to attack number one, which is the one that Ziggi already attacked, hoping to basically follow up on Ziggi's missile attack
Starting point is 01:04:17 to take him out. Yep. That is a 28 to hit. That is. So my burst cannon fires off. There's this series of, you see the shots to bring out. That's gonna be a 4D10 plus four radiant damage.
Starting point is 01:04:33 Wait, did we kill one already? Yeah. Co-hitted for almost full health. That's 34 points of radiant damage as I pepper this thing with a series of burst cannon shots. Almost upside down as the Sparrow has just moved. Upside down in the theater of of this arena, as the Sparrow has just dodged the original shots,
Starting point is 01:04:57 you respond with this pepper spray of your own, as the shots ring out and land cleanly on number one, still crackling with that strange green light that's moving around it, as your shots just tear straight through its hull, and it rips it apart as that ship is now dead as well. And as that happens, I actually am using the rest of my movement fly through the explosions and debris as I just
Starting point is 01:05:25 careen the rest of my movement, which is going to be three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, as I am kind of doing like a run around the outside to try to flank these guys. And you move through the blast as the fire licks off of the hull of your ship. Nice work, singing. As you blast through it.
Starting point is 01:05:49 No, no problem. That's my turn. All right. I am going to, in my very sleek ship, move forward towards number two. I hope, one, two, three, four, five. I'm sorry, actually, I meant to ask a question. Do I need to be five hex as a way?
Starting point is 01:06:11 Is that what that means? Okay. Or up between five and 20. That's what the... So five is close range. Yeah. Disadvanted. So what you want to get within five.
Starting point is 01:06:20 Yeah. Five is safe. You're gonna walk down. I've got you in my side. I'll probably have one more and you'll be there. Yep. Yep. Yep. I'd like to be right here. Yeah, go for it.
Starting point is 01:06:31 You can if you want. Send it. Right up in there. Okay. So if he is dead. So I'm going to surge forward in my ship and then target it with my pinpoint lasers for an attack.
Starting point is 01:06:47 Okay. And this is number two? Number two. Number two. Yep, two. Okay. I got it. Oh, that is.
Starting point is 01:06:57 I use my reaction. Where's my bloop, bloop, bloop. Which order are you doing? This one, plus six. Okay, that is 25. Oh, 25 will hit. Okay, and I don't have enough dice, but I'm not making this work.
Starting point is 01:07:13 What is that at 10? So, four. Double zero is a 10, yeah. Okay, 14, 14 and 16 is 30. 30, plus four. Yep. 34 radiant damage. And the target has.
Starting point is 01:07:28 has disadvantage on the next attack roll it makes before the end of its next turn. If I don't just kill it. If I don't just kill it. This beam cannon erupts from the Daphne as it flies straight out and hits this ship. It connects with that purplish orb around it for a second before it shatters straight through it
Starting point is 01:07:47 and hits the hold dead on. And it's now disadvantaged on. Disadvanted on the next attack roll it makes. Disadvantage on the next attack roll. Excellent. I'm sorry. Then I am going to, Daphne, going duck. And I'm going to activate my cloaking field.
Starting point is 01:08:07 What? Turn with the rest of my movement. What the hell? What was I at? Was it? One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine. I think I'll just move right there.
Starting point is 01:08:19 So, man, somebody's been hitting the books over here. Oh, yeah. Somebody's been studying up. Going dark, man. Going what? Where are you? Either bar. I don't see you. Tell me exactly where you are.
Starting point is 01:08:35 What? I feel you. Where are you? I feel like in. Talk louder. Talk louder. Two, these are expensive. Three, four, five, six, seven.
Starting point is 01:08:48 I mean, I'm feeling pretty confident in, you know, R&X bounty, so fuck it. I hit a big purple button. And a torpedo-looking thing will sort of clunk out on the small little wings of the etherboard and then shoot rocket off forward. As I'm going to use breech torpedo. Which one looks the healthiest?
Starting point is 01:09:12 Three. Probably three, yeah. Three's been untouched. I don't think you got hit yet. Base confirmed. Thank you. Three's been untouched. Oh. I'm gonna look one more, I think I have one more. And I'll just go shoot at an end two.
Starting point is 01:09:28 screw it. I'm going to shoot my torpedo. It can move nine squares. I'll do this guy. It should have enough where it's going to go in. Attack. We're going to see if I hits. Ooh, probably misses. Six. 12. A 12. A 12 will miss. But your missile is still on the field of play. Hold on. Hold on. I was going to say if you, there are things you can do to increase the... Do I have a maneuver of Power Dice? Give me a Saturday. Oh, a power dice. Double check all the stuff you have.
Starting point is 01:10:06 I would help you, but I already use my reaction, so I can't. Oh, no, that's, I have my reaction back. I'm going to use a power die. And I'm going to target lock. And so I see that it's about to miss. And presumably the Rhapsody's back here. Oh, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:10:20 Hank, give me a scam. Lock in on this guy. And then Hank is going to wire me that sensor information. And I'm going to attempt to use my power die, which on the ether barge is a. A D6, they're all D6. It's five to six. I have five, so it's 17 to hit.
Starting point is 01:10:38 A 17 starvation. I am going to use my hollow amplifier. Yes! And you're gonna see these two speakers appear at the front of the light sprite and they start to blast. I'm leaving. And you're gonna see all these crazy lights
Starting point is 01:10:58 begin to swirl around Brett as he gets my iconic inspiration, which is another D6. Go, come on. Come on. Oh my God. Oh 18 still
Starting point is 01:11:12 We tried, we tried. It keeps going on those. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's still on the field of play. Perfect. I think it actually just got,
Starting point is 01:11:22 I don't know if you have movement left, but I believe it continues to move and we'll start to, like angle back around. It continues to track the target, but it can't try to hit it again until my next turn. Right. There you go. Hyperion go.
Starting point is 01:11:35 If you go two squares, two hex of forward. If it moves forward, if it moves nine. on its turn. It doesn't stop there, right? It flies past the ship. It tracks the same target though, so yeah. So it should start going and then it'll just start to loop around Right, right. Is that am I good? Yeah, yeah. Okay, good. Hell yeah. Period. Your barge, Julia sucks. It's getting me or the torpedo. Don't you. Don't think about it too hard, right?
Starting point is 01:12:13 Or I'm gonna take a crack at three. And we'll see how that goes. I'm just gonna use my hyperblasters. It's like classic arcade-style shots are flying out, Gallagos style. He's got no tape. He's got a bottle of shast. And my all-rush mixing.
Starting point is 01:12:34 And that's gonna be a 20, dirty 20 to hit. A dirty 20 will still mess. These guys are slick. They're quick. They're quick. I, similarly, I'm, type a few things. Everyone will have their reactions back. I have my reaction, so I'm gonna type a few things and I'm gonna add a D6 to my Attack. I'm gonna get a six so I'm gonna have a 26 to hit a 26 will absolutely hit I love that for me and now I'm going to
Starting point is 01:13:02 Roll 3d 10 which I gave you my 3d10s and That's going to be 21 points of force damage however whatever it's damage threshold is because of the nature of my hyperblasters, it is half against this damage, so I might break the damage threshold with that damage that I just gave.
Starting point is 01:13:25 Who was this too? This was number three. And you did 21 points? That's correct. You absolutely, as the Gallagher Blasters go out, you see that same side of the piercing of the shields as 21 points of damage, starts blasting into the hall.
Starting point is 01:13:48 I raise my finger up and I execute a script. Using my bonus action, I'm going to use viral spike on number three. I need it to make a DC-14 intelligent saving throw. Whoa. 12. 12. During its next turn, the pilot of the target can maneuver the ship or take an action with its controls, but not both.
Starting point is 01:14:10 Oh. All of a sudden, the console, the sexy Nauri looks down and his console, The screens are showing like an animated version of Ziggy. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Yeah, yeah. And that would be the conclusion of my turn. Light Sprite.
Starting point is 01:14:30 That's good. I'm not gonna do anything nearly as cool. I am gonna move around Ziggy. It's a cool my turn. You did. I did. You literally did the coolest thing. I did. I did. I'm gonna move around the Zicular.
Starting point is 01:14:43 No. The Sigular. The Sigular. Can we make that a thing? That's so cool. And I'm going to turn towards number three. Listen, what's out here, okay? Leave me and Ziggy alone.
Starting point is 01:15:01 And I'm gonna fire off another glitter missile. We can fire off a glitter missile. Although I guess I'm guilty. My name is Zyler. And I'm really freaky. Okay, that is now officially the name of the Nikki X Nilari fan fiction. It's Zyler the Nilari.
Starting point is 01:15:23 Okay, please. shadow powers in the void. I can't wait to show you what they do. He's the prince of the Nilari. I'm fighting against the dragon rage in my heart. Exactly. This, what is it? It will never work between us.
Starting point is 01:15:35 I'm too dangerous. Okay, but then we have to. The dragon rage is begging me to consume you. Body and mind. And that's gonna be another 30 to hit. Oh yeah, 30 hits. 30 hits. And you're hitting number three?
Starting point is 01:15:49 Yaw. Oh, okay. 17. 27 radiant damage, and attack rolls on number three are at advantage, and vehicle wisdom checks to use sensors are at advantage. Number three, as once more, this blast, this crazy sparkling blast of glitter hits this ship.
Starting point is 01:16:20 It is looking extremely rough as the hull is almost cracked open. It looks like it's barely engines, barely still functioning. Thunderfang. It's Zeiler with an X. I never imagined any other way. I can move. She has crack me up.
Starting point is 01:16:38 I love you, yes. Yeah, no, Nye Anxiety, L-O-L-L-L-L-L-I-R. Ziler. R-I-W. That's good. That's good. Do you do the lightning damage? Me?
Starting point is 01:16:52 Oh, yeah. This turn. On his, oh. Oh, I did lightning damage to number. number one, but then he got blown out of the sky by Pike. I should have teed you up, shouldn't I? Oh, no, that's totally fine. I forgot about that.
Starting point is 01:17:04 I forgot I had this voltage lock thing. I am going to just spin around here. So I can move one, two. Oh, no, I need to move, right? Three, four, five, six. That's in my arc. I am going to lock on. There's two left.
Starting point is 01:17:30 They're the crackling lightning that connects the two kind of pod engines to my cockpit. I can't say cockled together. And then zaps out an arcing lightning bolt of plasma. I need to make a range attack wall. They did this. They made those choice. I didn't ask them to do this. They chose this.
Starting point is 01:17:50 They chose violence. I don't know how to respond. Which one are you finding? I don't know how to handle this. I have nothing to say. Oh, but you, was it? The other one had advantage. You have advantage of the other one.
Starting point is 01:18:02 Yeah. I'm gonna sit the other one. Like, do you still have my reaction? I gotta remember that now. Also, he's distracted right now. Because I certainly missed that first. His deck is going out of control. Oh, man.
Starting point is 01:18:14 I can't say that. I'm pretty sure I fail that. It goes wide. What did you get? Yeah, I got 11. Levels of ice. On advantage? On advantage?
Starting point is 01:18:21 I got a four and five. Brutal. Oh, no. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh.
Starting point is 01:18:24 Oh. You want to use a power die? Oh. I will tell you the AC is 22. No, there's no one. So it's... 11? 11?
Starting point is 01:18:31 You have to get pretty... Well, you would have to get two sixes, because I could inspo you, but you have to get two six and six and five. I don't think it's going to be more. I'm distracted. I'm like, you know... Sparking lightning cuts of slot as you were just cranking out to heavy metal in the ship.
Starting point is 01:18:49 Both ships will just stay where they are, and once more pepper Ziggy first, and then... Pixel if they can right in front of them. I might have a shot. And. Oh, I'm getting excited. The first we'll do, Zika.
Starting point is 01:19:05 I think they're both affected by something. So two, I believe you hit. Has disadvantage on its next attack. Okay. Oh, 11 to Ziggie. I'm gonna assume that doesn't hit. You carry on with whatever you're doing. I laugh as it flies by.
Starting point is 01:19:29 The, and then three will fire on the light sprite, I believe. No. And is also affected by something. Which one? Number three is, we're at advantage. Disadvantage. We're at advantage.
Starting point is 01:19:46 I'm in advantage. Three is viral spike. So three can only. Oh, it can't move, but it can attack. Oh, got it got, got, got, yeah. If it takes an attack, it is disadvantaged because of . Two.
Starting point is 01:19:57 Oh, no, okay. To make sure. Yeah. Sorry, my fault, my fault. I apologize. I have the one number. 21. But that misses.
Starting point is 01:20:02 Just ignore me. I'm very excited about what I'm about today. Okay, okay. The Nauri Blasters are flying, cutting through space as they fly and erupt all around you, but no shots have landed yet as it goes to the sparrary. Okay, that works. Oh God, I really love the good enemies to love us.
Starting point is 01:20:21 Ziler! My hands are all in the camera. I have a ton of movement. So I'm gonna start by using one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, and eight. I'm gonna move into its square. And I am going to use a bonus action to swift maneuver. Pike causes the sparrow to take the dash action
Starting point is 01:20:45 or gains advantage on the next vehicle dexterity check that he makes to perform a stunt before the end of his next term. I'm gonna choose the stunt one. The stunt that I'm going to make is pursuit. I am going to move into the ship's hex from the side or the rear, making a dexterity vehicle check, A vehicle dexterity check, your target ship will make a dexterity save, the DC being whatever I roll.
Starting point is 01:21:07 But I'm gonna roll at a disadvantage. You can't move into a Nilari from the rear. See, you're all hot for the Nilari, but I'm coming for that ass. Okay. Me too. Oh, that's not great. What's my plus? That's what I have to figure out here.
Starting point is 01:21:24 I come from the Empire of the Void Wing. And you are but a common one. It would never work yet between X. Between Zyler and Pixel. Even though there's an X in both of our names. But I look totally different when I'm not wearing my glasses. I don't know if you'd buy all the gods and agonels. You're stunning.
Starting point is 01:21:47 Well, we'll see if he beats it. We'll see if he beats it. No, no, we can isolate signal. It doesn't matter that it's high. What we should do is when, if he succeeds, somebody should use the power dye to date. Power died to dam rolling. What I'll say is I didn't roll very well.
Starting point is 01:22:00 I got a 16. I got a 16 Dexterity save. Oh, that's funny. 20. You're my favorite. So if we can somehow make him fail. Can I increase your score if I use Isolate Signal? That's a great, it says that when an ally fails an ability check,
Starting point is 01:22:23 which technically didn't happen. Oh, you didn't fail. I set the DC. I see. Because of the pursuit. Got it. I unfortunately just didn't roll very well on this one. You can still attack, though, right?
Starting point is 01:22:39 Yes, you can. I'm just making sure that the pursuit is not my action. Stuntzor, come on. I believe this is a stunt attempt per move. Oh, yeah. Yeah, you can still just attack. I miss the pursuit, but I will attempt to just attack him. That's very fair.
Starting point is 01:22:54 Thank you for keeping me honest. You're welcome. That's better. That's going to be a, uh, 23 hits absolutely playing the rules 14 15 16 20 points of radiant damages I continue to pepper this guy is this three what did I say 20 23 is this three you're shooting at number three yes on I'm gonna 14 20 20 20 points of radiant damage as you move to take pursuit in your guns lock on to three
Starting point is 01:23:26 I get them boom boom once more you see this pepper spray of the Spiro just carved through the hull of this ship as it explodes and splits apart. Three is now dead. The final remaining ship in space and the move is to the Daphne. Oh, it's 24 points of radiant damage.
Starting point is 01:23:47 It blows up even more. Oh, I agree with that. It evaporates into dust and it takes one more. It splits in half and then both halves of the ship independently explode in spaces. Another one down. And what actually happens again,
Starting point is 01:24:02 I jet through this debris and I actually pass through Pixel. You have more movement? Yeah, I just do a cool maneuver over Pixel. And we kind of do this like knowing nod at each other as I zip through your airspace and finish my turn passing. Also the Daphne, but I can't see her. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:24:20 Daffy, let's see you. Okay. I want to make, okay, the turning, I want to zoom around to the back here. So now do I move in turn? Move in turn? How does that work? Yep, yep.
Starting point is 01:24:36 So you can go, you can do one, two, three, four, five, six, seven. Yep, perfect. Yep, that's perfect. And then I want to pursue. All right, it's your turn now. You got this. Yes.
Starting point is 01:24:49 You got this. So move into the ship's hex from the rear, make a dex check. Target ship makes decks. So you're gonna set the DC. I set the DC. Oh, oh. So you're just gonna roll your decks check.
Starting point is 01:25:03 See what you get. And then Mace's gonna try to beat it. So that's a 70? Is that right? Where's your dex? No, plus, plus. Oh yeah. Yeah, 17.
Starting point is 01:25:15 Oh, 15. Okay. Nice. Okay, so I am now in pursuit. Nice. Daphne slots in easily as it takes position behind this in a large star ship. Okay.
Starting point is 01:25:27 And then I can just attack as normal, correct? Yes. Yes. Okay. So I will attack with my laser, so behind it, it will see sort of a flare of light starting to happen, and then my ship will take form behind it coming out of its cloaking. Oh, cool. Oh, you like stalked. That's awesome. Okay. That is awesome. As it notices nothing at first until once more, the sky lights with the energy of your blast.
Starting point is 01:25:58 It was terrible. That's okay. Um, eight, eight, can I do anything with that? Oh boy, I have my reaction. Spend a power die to add it to the total. Can I do that, target lock? So, target lock. You could. You can target, like, we can jam.
Starting point is 01:26:12 If anybody else has reactions, we can, when you're not, oh no. That's for, if someone, what didn't she get? I'm a liar. I got an eight to hit, but I wonder if I can target lock as a reaction when an attack misses. 20. Yeah, yeah, you'd have to get, you can. You absolutely can, but the problem is you'd only add at most of six.
Starting point is 01:26:32 Oh, I see, I see. Okay, never mind. You'd have to get pretty, you'd have to get pretty hot. You and I both got cooked on our moves. Oh, half of our moves. Well, you've established pursuit. So if it goes to move, you will follow with it and be able to fire upon it. Okay.
Starting point is 01:26:45 Is that? That will be at that? Ether barge. Oh, fuck. Give the business right. Missile will continue. Yes, it will. It'll turn.
Starting point is 01:26:55 One, two, three. four, five, six, seven, eight. Here we go. Attempts to attack. Some chips. Eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, thirteen. He's gotta be a ballad. No, and this is again.
Starting point is 01:27:23 What? Yeah, I haven't rolled above a ten. Wait, what did you get? Yeah, what you get? I got a eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, 13, fourteen, fourteen. So I would need to roll like you'd have to roll a six on another InSpo.
Starting point is 01:27:37 Or and use your thing maybe. I'll use a power die. We'll see what happens. I'll use a power die to help. There's a five. You just need a one. Oh, that's pretty. It's guaranteed five.
Starting point is 01:27:48 I just need a one, I believe, right? Immediately you hear Ethereum girl start playing. That song's still cooking. But you can hear the microphone activate inside of the lights, right? And you can hear pixel weeping over the death of Xiler. Oh yeah, he's, he's done. I don't know why I rolled in 20. If that did anything, you could do you say.
Starting point is 01:28:09 I even die sexy. And I got a four. Oh, yeah, yeah. Worth every roll. This missile, this torpedo missile spins around as you call out to Hank, the targeting support of the Rhapsody guides the missile forward as almost once more. These things are fast.
Starting point is 01:28:33 It's almost gonna miss it until you hear the tune of Ethereal Girl kick in, it lights up that in the Lorry's ship, and once more the missile makes a final redirect as it crashes into the hall, exploding. Nice. I'll do some math here. He does $8 billion damage to win the day. That's true.
Starting point is 01:28:55 Oh, I love that. Someone said instead of Ethereum Girl, it's my heart will go on, but the recorder version. Yeah! does. Oh, that's funny. Eight points of force damage. Nice.
Starting point is 01:29:13 And it suffers a mishap. Oh! It does suffer a mishap. As the missile expands, and you see that almost gravitan energy expand and encapsulate this Starfighter, it crushes it under its gravity rate, as this ship is twisted into a small ball of metal, Liquid, uh,
Starting point is 01:29:39 orbs extend out into the, into the night sky as, uh, this, the final Nulari starship, uh, is blown to pieces. It's blown to smooth. Poo! I don't teach them. Nice shot, right?
Starting point is 01:29:54 Not them is their team, but, you know, maybe other, good shots. Yeah! Good job! Who else got a kill? Sound off! Well, it was more of a team effort. I think we all got four kills.
Starting point is 01:30:07 Well, but if we're counting, I got two. Yeah, yeah. If we're counting Pike got two. Nice, Pike. Sick. Well, if we're counting, I got one. Let's ride. You fly the ships back into the Rhapsody.
Starting point is 01:30:25 You dock them back into the hangar bay, having dispatched of these pirate raiders erupting out of the air to come and take you, and you let them know that was not an option. this evening. You find the ships nestled back into the Rhapsody. You shake off
Starting point is 01:30:47 the battle. You move back to your rooms, your captain's chair. You begin to settle back in to finish what little is left of this journey. And there's not a lot left. You're only about three days away at this point. And the next three
Starting point is 01:31:03 days go by unevently. Until... Sorry, no. Sorry. The... You can't be with us. I'm the loss. And that happens for like an hour. That happens for an hour.
Starting point is 01:31:27 For three and a half days. That happens for three and a half days. As the Rhapsie flies forward, you now see the planet Goro start to pull into view. And at first you think it's almost this swarming, swirling, dark blue mass. Until you get closer and closer and closer, And you realize what you're actually seeing
Starting point is 01:31:52 is a planet surrounded by storm clouds. And this raging storm that surrounds and encapsulates the world as you make your way towards, as you make your way towards Goro and the city of Tyro. You pierce through the clouds. The whole of the Rhapsody getting wet as you pierce through these storm clouds with the liquid condensation around you, you finally break through this cloud cover once more you can see beneath you. And this array of neon lights erupts from under you. These tall buildings stretch out from the city, reaching up to greet you as the rains of these storms. bring you down, the lights almost beckoned you to a welcome relief. Once more, finding a docking
Starting point is 01:32:57 as you land the Rhapsody into the starport of Goro. You described us kind of like descending through storms, correct? Yes. Do we, is this a common occurrence here? Is this planet like always kind of surrounded by storms or it just looked like this is just weather that's passing through? I think you would know that Goro is a planet that often in the town. like it is a stormy planet. This is the... So you say the neon looks extra good. The neon does look extra good.
Starting point is 01:33:26 This is the natural home planet of the Rhizzo. Oh. And they resonate with the storm soul of this world. And so how it manifests there in their either thunder, lightning, rain, resonance powers, those kind of natural effects you still see all over this world. and it's encountering a storm now as you descend, and then finally dock in the Starboard. And you have a moment to collect yourselves
Starting point is 01:33:59 to discuss what to do, what you might wanna say before you head out and enter Tyrol. I was always too poor to come here. This is wild. This is colorful and say, and all this shit to buy. And it's all so overpriced. And now I can finally afford it! Whoa, well, have you been here before or?
Starting point is 01:34:26 No, I never came to time. I could never afford it. I mean, I lived halfway across the planet. Oh, you're from Goros? Yeah. Well, I take out my cash. My cashlet. All right.
Starting point is 01:34:40 I hear everybody, you need some spending money. Nice. I was like they have markets down there. I don't need any much with. We got a bar. I got the best wallet, and I'd get a rubber band. And I hear it roll it up. Stealing my pup pants?
Starting point is 01:34:56 Well, if you're from here, then, you know, is there anything you can tell us about, you know, maybe give us a leave? We can start asking around, which is usually my, you know, step one. Well, I mean, usually I would corner, like, thugs and, like, beat him up and threaten to kill him or, or worse to them if they didn't tell me what I wanted.
Starting point is 01:35:17 But you're not going to do that. Why? I mean, I don't know. We don't know. He's like a nerdy doctor. He's an old man doctor guy. He's like, I don't know if a bunch of thugs on the street are going to know anything about this guy. Yeah, but I'm so heartbroken. I don't even want to spend money.
Starting point is 01:35:32 And I think the only thing that will make it better is if we beat up a bunch of thugs. You know, I would like to. I just don't know if that's going to get us like, is that going to jeopardize the mission? No, we're not going to beat up any thugs, all right? But I'm so sad. We're here for one guy.
Starting point is 01:35:49 How is going to help me get over thugs? We'll find someone. We'll beat up the mission. The doctor. Can we beat up, Ziggy? Was it, no. Ziggy. I'm sorry, what?
Starting point is 01:35:58 Ziggy can take it. I know. Cries louder than me. Uh-uh. I don't know. Zic, you'll have to give you, like, one punch in the gut? No, you probably don't throw up. No, I'll definitely throw up.
Starting point is 01:36:21 We always say I'm not gonna throw up, but I mean, I throw up. Come on, you gotta build up your gorge. You always say that it's every time. But it's Bixel, it's not me or pipe this time. Yeah, I promise. I'm only like one-third as strong as cold. Well, if it's just... I just run over a bunch of in this time. I do feel better.
Starting point is 01:36:45 Five notes on vomit. You got no vomit or what? Oh. Well, I'll take no vomit time. I think I... Yes. Every time, Ziggy. You almost have it, you're going to be out there.
Starting point is 01:37:01 Don't worry, first round's on me. All right. Oh, man, love. Okay, can we have money now? Well, Chef Boyar Z, huh? Wow. Thank you. Okay.
Starting point is 01:37:13 Where are we going to go buy? Well, we'll buy stuff while we also investigate. We probably don't have to role play this because it's only one shot. I know, but it's only mid-year. but it's only midnight. It's the midnight market. Let's go!
Starting point is 01:37:26 Let's go! I follow coat. You make your way, and Coe, in the lead, you make your way out of the bay of the Rhaps it is. You step out into the Starport and staring into this
Starting point is 01:37:44 this large, illustrious city of these beautiful neon lights the sounds that are traveling throughout it, sounds of music, of laughter, of people talking, of happenings of a city, a light, and alive, as you start to make your way down the city streets,
Starting point is 01:38:07 heading for the night market. Don't like it too much. Oh, nice. Don't like it too much, he says, and then it's on a bag. Right. Don't get used to that song. You know, Co.
Starting point is 01:38:29 I love the midnight lights in this place. You start to make your way. Presumably, maybe you start to engage, encounter with the people of this area. And you'll see all manner, rhizzo, Claudaren, Skeetic, all manner of people as you move through. You start to show off the photo of the doctor you have. Looking for any lead, anything that draws you closer, gives you an idea of where to go, what to do next.
Starting point is 01:39:18 I'm going to intimidate anybody who I think might know something. Yeah, and any time Coe does, I'll cross my arms and lean 45 degrees to the side and look intimidating. 45. A whole 45. Roll an intimidation. Roll an intimidation check. At advantage. Of course.
Starting point is 01:39:38 With pixels out. Yeah, we're here. Let's take the look. That's your character. That is, yes. Yours is on your lap. Oh, there it is. Intimidation is.
Starting point is 01:39:55 Ooh, 23. Oh. You get intimidated, buddy. You're moving through this place, possessed, renewed with a vigor. You're on Goro. This is something about being here. You feel a resonance. You feel vindicated.
Starting point is 01:40:15 You feel like this mission is an egg, and you have the power to crack it open. And you're getting ready to just crack this whole thing wide. You just start grabbing people. You think might look tough. Might look tough. Might look, like they might know something
Starting point is 01:40:33 about the underbelly. You grab several people as you move through. You start slamming them up against walls. You're asking them questions. You know this nerd? You know this nerd?
Starting point is 01:40:46 I've never seen it before. I'm pause. I don't know them at all. And, and, uh, as you did. They pledge every time. Do it again.
Starting point is 01:40:56 Do it again. No, no, please. No, no, It's scary every time. He's not fucking. As you were, you were tearing through the streets, and people start giving you a wide birth. As you were, you were the absolute,
Starting point is 01:41:12 you're the top dog strutting straight down the middle of the road. Above you, you see these cars, the Starship cars riding through lanes, but even in these streets for people who appreciate more of the analog, Even on the ground there are wheeled vehicles motorcycles cars still tearing through and you are just you are You're grabbing everyone that comes by that you want Nobody can stop you And it's and it's you're doing this you're not you're not getting too much
Starting point is 01:41:46 Until eventually something catches your eye a little bit ahead of you traffic's being diverted You see these neon almost like pylons, like small pipes coming out of the ground, that are drawing this like grid imagery between them, saying caution, caution, like don't approach. You realize this to be a police coordinating. Oh. Oh.
Starting point is 01:42:21 You were so cool. Yeah, I know. This is what I do. I don't remember, I think a police, I'll walk up. Yeah, as it says, red territory. As I, as we walk up, I'll follow red. I'll key a script on my grid boy and pull my hoodie up over my head,
Starting point is 01:42:39 seeing that there's been some sort of altercation. I'm going to cast, it's major armor, but I'm going to be casting what I call firewall, increasing my AC as I protect myself in this more dangerous scenario. Nice. Sweet. You do that. You pull the hole in your head. You hit a couple.
Starting point is 01:43:01 You'll see this pattern of squares and hexes. Coat me like a, you know, like a body suit almost. Empowering yourself. And then fade and then. As you're moving towards potential danger, Wreck, you take the lead in this situation. You start walking up. You see several vehicles.
Starting point is 01:43:22 Police indicate flashing lights gathered around this area. one looks like an ambulance, a med-advance, a square vehicle to lift off and take somebody away in. As you approach, roll a perception check or investigation. Ooh, you're so kind. 15. 15. With a 15, you get a glimpse right before you walk up of a body on the ground. Oh boy.
Starting point is 01:44:01 It is an anatron, a mechanical almost robot form, but you know them to be people. You know them to be very much alive. As you walk up, you catch a brief glimpse of almost what it looks like something is burst outward from its chest. Oh my God. The metal case, the metal breastplate at the front of it is cracked, almost torn. open and outwards. As you see these two figures kind of bringing a laser stretcher onto either side of it as a beam connects under it
Starting point is 01:44:42 and they lift up the body as the arm slims off over the stretcher and off to the side, just within the cordon, you see a slightly larger Sorian wearing a police, what seems to be a police uniform with a, these orange scales in the long, almost, like, raptor-like head, as he's standing there seemingly overseeing things. Officer? Uh, hello, citizen.
Starting point is 01:45:15 What happened? Doesn't look too good. Uh, gruesome stuff. Who, roll a persuasion check to get started. Hmm. I mean my buddy Pike here. I think that's what I mean. That's a four. Oh.
Starting point is 01:45:44 Well, we can't. I can't give out too much information about murder this just occurred. Why are you asking? I'm sorry. I'm scared of murder. No. I happen to be watching the news and notice that there seems to be a trend around here. And, you know, a few more of these happen.
Starting point is 01:46:16 I'd worry about, you know, what'll happen to the faith in y'all here in the city if, you know, city if you know more of these keep happening well another procedure check in advantage you mean a girl like me might not be safe in a town like this six you're not synthetic uh when this happens when i'm i'm watching a lot for these i'm watching this interaction between red and this police officer and i'm sensing that things aren't going well and i've lit a cigarette it's kind of dangling from the core of my mouth and i i walk up behind him and i put my hand on a shoulder and I just whisper like a small prayer I say a light bringer's with us I sense the fire in your soul and I use enduring passion when you were a creature you
Starting point is 01:47:04 see within 30 feet fails the D20 test you can take a reaction to give the target heroic inspiration the target can choose to use it on the triggering roll or or not and then once I use this trait I can't use it again until I finish a long rest so I'm giving my buddy oh heroic inspiration can I use it on this roll right now. It says you can use them. Absolutely. All out. Whoa.
Starting point is 01:47:25 So I try to remind just Rhett with a soft prayer the enduring passion that I see within him. You feel the emboldening of your long time friend. Like, as he walks up to you and gives you this extra nudge to be hopefully far more charming, I'm treating it well. I got a... This is persuasion? 14. Better.
Starting point is 01:47:55 Much better. Yeah, absolutely. You feel emboldened by the, the pushing forward of politics. As you're talking to this officer, and especially at the words of the populist trust in you being able to keep them safe, he seems to soften.
Starting point is 01:48:14 He seems to want to assuage any concerns that you might have. Now, there's nothing that you'll have to worry about. It seems like these killings are, well, they're specific to anatron, isotrons. It looks like who's ever doing this is taking hyper sparks out of one. Going straight from the sparks, huh? I've never seen anything like it. This is brutal, brutal work. That's like cutting the soul out of somebody
Starting point is 01:48:54 Maybe Well look You seem like a straight shooter I'm just gonna cut to the chase I'm a bounty hunter I'm gonna pull out my My ID for the For the Galactic Bounty Goal
Starting point is 01:49:11 It'll say hey I'm Rank B I believe He had a season number of their rank B Whatever this can vote Whatever my rank is in this canon You're rank B It's gonna have rank B on it
Starting point is 01:49:23 and I'll just show proof. And look, we're trying to find this guy. And so let me do you a favor. And if you have information, there are places where maybe it's not the best for y'all to go where I can. Let me help you out. He's been kind of, as you walked up,
Starting point is 01:49:44 and you kind of started talking to him, he's leaning back against one of these pylons that's exuding this cautionary electric light. and once seeing the rank of the GBG official badge he'll actually stand up straight and turn his full body towards you bounty hunters huh we need all the help we can get we haven't been able to catch this guy so far and I need to I need I'll take any help I can get to get these people
Starting point is 01:50:17 off the streets whoever it is now I don't know who's doing this but I heard someone say from the crowd that this guy here, the victim, spent a lot of time at the Prisma can'tina. Hear that, Zicki, take that down. I'm sorry? We'll take up me up. All right down.
Starting point is 01:50:42 This is your AirPods in. All right. I appreciate it. And I'll let you know if we find them. We're gonna be out here looking too, but I hope one of us catches this guy soon. Good luck. You too. Happy hunting.
Starting point is 01:51:08 I'll turn. All right. Prisma Cantina. Find it, let's go. All right. Fucking... What are you looking at, ugly? Are you talking to the cops?
Starting point is 01:51:25 Yeah. On your way. Jesus. What the fuck is this? I'm sure he wasn't helpful, right? No, we haven't leave. Is this person with you? You're not ugly.
Starting point is 01:51:36 Yeah, I am. You're a bounty hunter too? We're gone. Just stand down, co, stand down. Yeah, stop this. I like, I do put my hand, like, kind of up, and I'm just like, I'm sorry. You have to forgive, she hasn't gotten late in weeks.
Starting point is 01:51:53 I mean, well, you don't need to tell him that. Well, look at this fucker. Hey, the uniform looks terrible on you. Okay. I'm leaving. I'm depressed. Easy, Co. I'll buy you a beer. What is he going to do, arrest me?
Starting point is 01:52:06 Let's just get to the canteen. Hey, you're under arrest. Get back over here. Coe is a blood curse. Anytime she says anything like that, it happens. It just happens. It becomes reality. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 01:52:18 Oh, man. We run to the canteen away from the cop. You're able to kind of do a quick, a quick search of the area. And you can get a location on the, the bar that they gave you, the Prisma Cantina. And as you find where it is, you may start to make your way and to head there.
Starting point is 01:52:45 Now knowing that there's a killer on the loose who's been killing antitrons and isotrons. A wild killer on the loose. A fresh body has appeared in the area. So you feel very confident that you are on the trail of the doctor. Okay. Zee presumably finds where this canteen is.
Starting point is 01:53:12 Yes. You're able to basically pull up directions to the canteena from where you are, and you can navigate the party through the streets, through the neon lights, the music, the sounds, still a constant buzz all around you, even though it's this nighttime. And there's this kind of persistent rainfall that still hasn't quite stopped as you were there. So even as you walk through these neon streets, there's almost this beautiful reflection in pools of water that have gathered across the road.
Starting point is 01:53:49 As these large buildings reach up into the sky, it almost gives this illusion that they dip down into the ground as well. So you have these twin peaks of light going in all direction. I take a slightly longer route so that we can stop into a game store and I can pick up Graviton Lancers too and then make my way to the Prisma canteen. Oh, this is it. Oh, next, oh, right, okay. You find a copy of whatever you just said. And then you make your way to the Prisma Cantina. You find it has this kind of almost like sandy texture to the building, almost as if to evoke a
Starting point is 01:54:31 as if to evoke kind of the old Wild West as you find this, that a similar though, neon bright sign written in this cursive, scrolling font, Prisma Cantina, but the INA at the end is out of light, so it just shows Prisma can't as you enter. The first thing that I would do is make sure that we, I grab everybody around
Starting point is 01:55:01 Just something to hold on to make it look like we belong there. We don't want to stick out. We're just there for a drink, you know? We're not doing anything out of the ordinary and I would pick up a round for the crew Thank you. You move in. So you move into the canteen. It's this circular room that wraps all around with a bar in the dead center Behind it you see what seems to be the the bartender of this area moving fast serving customers that sit all the way around and you see various species of people, of course, rhizos, ominites, schedic, globlins, other salari, all sorts. Jaza, in the center of the bar tending is this Leika sheepdog with this kind of white shaggy fur that almost seems to be covering his eyes as he's moving and passing out drink.
Starting point is 01:56:04 Some ornate stemmed glasses that have colorful liquids that are shooting out plumes of bubbles as he passes around. Others seem to be just tankards as he hands one to another rhizo that just slams it back down as you move into the canteena. And you walk up and you order drinks? I would, if he, you know, whenever he gets me the round or whatever, when he comes back up to the bar with the drinks, I would tip him well. well and kind of lean in and presumably if I have access to the information yeah you would have it would be pictures I would pull out a small almost like a poloid of this of this guy and just be like after tipping him well and be like what can you tell me about this guy you seen him he'll he'll come over to the table or wherever you're sitting and he'll bring a round of drinks whatever you
Starting point is 01:57:02 order at the bar and he'll put him down uh Yeah, he used to come in here. He used to come in here quite a bit. Why are you asking about him? When was the last time you saw him? Not for a while. Probably a couple weeks back. He used to be pretty regular.
Starting point is 01:57:32 Well, that's pretty good. Look, we appreciate it, thanks. And I'll double the tip. And just, you know, show him that I'm kind of greasing the wheels here. Oh, well, he was pretty regular. And then, uh, I remember one night he came in. I've never seen him in a state like this, never seen him so upset. I was barely talking.
Starting point is 01:58:02 All he just wanted was drink after drink after drink. Set on that stool right up there. He just wanted to keep going. He also served him. I thought he was going to black out right there on the counter. He just stumbled on out of here. Did he say anything about where he was going, where he was coming from, anything at all? He said one thing.
Starting point is 01:58:28 He was talking about his kid. I never heard anything about him. Never shared much about himself, but that night, that night when he was getting hammered, shit-face wasted, tears welling up in his eyes, talking about how he lost his son. He seemed it was weird. I mean, before he seemed he had kind of this, this promise to him, but something changed. Something changed and something turned. Was there an accident?
Starting point is 01:59:10 Did he say how his son was lost? Hard to understand him through the tears and the snot. Couldn't figure out how he lost his son. Couldn't figure out if it happened that night. Just whatever he was going through, something changed that night. And that was the last time I saw him. It's been weeks since that. Well, you appreciate the help.
Starting point is 01:59:39 I'm afraid you won't be seeing him again. You think? Yeah, we're bounty hunters and we're going to find him. There's a big bounty on his head. You think he's a tough customer? Well, Doc, I mean, I've never seen him hurt to fly, except maybe a couple of bites. That's the only damage I ever saw him do.
Starting point is 02:00:08 I give Red a knowing look. Definitely wasn't the type of getting. getting any bar fights and we got we can have a rough crowd around here sometimes well you know that they say that the real sick fucks like the serial killer types like you know have a method and get all fucking creative with their bullshit that you never expected you those are the ones oh he was so nice he was my neighbor and then they're chopping up body parts and doing weird shit with it i don't fucking know a bunch of freaks oh my man and if he survives ways of dead or alive or alive I don't think we know are you telling me the doctors wanted for like a
Starting point is 02:00:51 bunch of murders like he's some kind of murder freak that's right so you better tell us what you know you don't get mixed up in this he might come for you next once he knows that you thought he talked to us oh huh listen I mean the only other thing I know I don't know if this is anything see that guy sitting over there points it kind of like a clauderon that has his back to you, this kind of orange hair coming down around his neck. As he sits at a table alone, his backs to you, but it's watching the door
Starting point is 02:01:35 from where you are. He's got advantage on people coming in and out and otherwise kind of open to the room. You mean that peeping Tomcat over there? Yeah, yeah, that's the one. Listen, I, you know. What's his name? Another freak.
Starting point is 02:01:56 What's his name? You want to know his name. Yeah, what's his name? Martel. Martel, huh? Yeah, Martel. I'll run him down this time. Martel what?
Starting point is 02:02:07 I hear that they don't need. This is one name kind of place. They just come up, they order a drink, and barely get their name sometimes, and they sit down. I was going to say, you know, it's really, frankly, honorable that. You know, given that you're a bartender, you could have just said, I don't know his name. I'm a fucking bartender. You still gave us a name.
Starting point is 02:02:25 He knows everybody. He's, you know, he's an old regular guy. This is the kind of place where everybody knows your name. And on a sense, I had him written all down this time. I thought I'd use one. My name is Ziggy. Don't tell him your name. What?
Starting point is 02:02:39 I thought this is the first dude. He's flabbing everybody. All right, wait a second. Ziggy, I'm writing that one down. I'm writing that Ziggy. You never forget. He's in the nose. What's what ass about you.
Starting point is 02:02:50 Green hoodie, Sorian, dress, airtubs, kind of pop. You should tell him your last name in case you ever need to find you. He doesn't take last name. No. You're lucky you're in the fucking
Starting point is 02:03:00 hyperspark. You're going to get your heart ripped out or something. You're going to get eaten. I'm not, I'm not synthetic. Well, I am. Who knows? Do we see any
Starting point is 02:03:10 antitrons or the other one? Great question. I said. Oh. In the bar. Yes. I think you would
Starting point is 02:03:18 see absolutely a couple of anitrons and some isotrons as well. As Rhett had explained earlier where the anitrons are, both anitrons and isotrons are very much this living species of people, but the anitrons have almost the life living within the machine empowered by a hyper spark that lives within them. The isotron is almost like the software come to life in this synthetic body, once more powered by a hyperspark that gives them their life. But they're not just kind of like execution robots that are doing one thing or another that they're programmed to do. They're very much living people. And you would see both anatrons and isotrons in this bar.
Starting point is 02:04:13 So anyway Martel over there Like I said before We run kind of a rough Customer outfit I don't endorse it But I get the sense
Starting point is 02:04:31 Sometimes he follows people out of here Tries to rough them up if they're a little Too drunk See if he can get anything off of He's trying to get people off Off of them like steal from robin.
Starting point is 02:04:47 Nothing untoward of course. Are you wearing a wire? Is that all you know? That's about the sum of what I know, yeah. All right. That guy you can kick his ass. All right.
Starting point is 02:05:00 The bartender? No, no, no, no. Not him. Martel. If the dog ran into any trouble out of here, if anyone saw him last, it would have been that Tomcat over there, Martel. I don't think that we should call that peep and calm cat by his name Martel.
Starting point is 02:05:17 Why? Because I think we've got to intimidate him. If we go over there and we're like, your name's Martel and we, well, it's not as intimidating, you know? But if we call him piss mouth, piss claws, he'll be really intimidated. I don't think that's ever going to catch a own face. My magic. All right. Where's the?
Starting point is 02:05:38 He's just a couple tables over. It's kind of like this circular room that rains around. There's this kind of, there's this low. Beat permeating through this, the Prisma Cantina as the music plays. And he's just sitting in one of these booths that wraps kind of around the room, but has Vantage on the door. He's maybe currently 20 feet away from there. Does he, is he, is he alone?
Starting point is 02:06:04 Yes, he's alone. Does he have a drink? He does have a drink in front of him. He has one of the, he has one of the, Stein. It seems from your vantage running low, but he does have one in front of him. And you can even see from the side on his hip sits what looks like a rather large dagger sheft
Starting point is 02:06:26 at his hip. Coe, just don't break the tables. Nah, I'll tend to the furniture. I mean, this guy was really fucking helpful. I'm not going to rough up with his establishment too much. I'm going to go. I'm going to say, hey, Barkeek, will you mind sending over a drink to our friend over there
Starting point is 02:06:42 on Red? Oh, shit. I'm this guy. All right, you said, I'll take one more name down. One more name. There's an agent there. There's a dopeia too, but it never gets away. It's pronounced Regan.
Starting point is 02:07:03 Well, you just said red. I mean, it's pronounced Red. Well, we were spelling out phonetically for you, but it's pronounced Regan. Okay, I'll send the, I'll send a drink over to The Martel, you're saying, the guy that follows you by... Okay. Here we go. He'll go back behind the bar.
Starting point is 02:07:26 It's not... It's not how you think it's spelled. He'll take... A couple keys in there. He'll take a Stein and hit a pump. And you'll see this frothing liquid will pour into a mug. And he'll walk over to Martel and kind of place it down. And then he'll look over his shoulder.
Starting point is 02:07:44 and point back at you as he'll look over and kind of give you a quizzical glance and then raise the mug at you. As he raised the mug, I'd like to like kind of like gesture him over here. Like gesture him over towards like, oh sure. Okay. I'll be halfway, like maybe towards a less populated area of the bar. Sure. He'll get up. Yeah. He'll get up and start and start moving towards you, drink and hand. Yeah, it's the drink. Oh, well, it's quite good. Before he says that I want to smack it out of his hand. I heard a drink to smack out of his hands. Here you go.
Starting point is 02:08:22 Oh, it's quite good. And I would have basically grab him by the throat. Yeah. He'll in show. I don't know if I got to roll for that. What an idiot. He's drinking with his dagger hand. That's very funny.
Starting point is 02:08:34 Roll dex contest. Oh boy. Okay. Do any, I don't think any. It's been multiple days since our ship combat. Yeah. Oh yeah, like three, like three, I think it was the, like, 15th day that you faced the Nilari, and then it was like about three more days. Can I make it athletics?
Starting point is 02:08:56 Yeah, yeah, let's do athletics. Okay. Athletics versus my acrobatics. That is an... I am, I'm gonna lean forward. You look here, you piss mouth, piss claws, and then I'm gonna give, I'm gonna give co-a iconic inspiration. as I tried to intimidate this, this guy. If I can use that, I would.
Starting point is 02:09:23 It's a de-sex. D-sex. You drinking my friends drink without permission, huh? The nine. With a nine, you definitely move forward. You slap the cup out of his hand. His hand quickly goes to the hilt of the dagger on his hip, and then you grab him by this tunic.
Starting point is 02:09:50 that he's wearing on the front. You grab him by both sides. He wears it open to kind of show off his chest, like an absolute just more like preening. Just a piece of shit. And he grabbed him by both sides of this vest and lift him easily off the ground.
Starting point is 02:10:06 He's one hand on the dagger. He'll let go of it. Oh, don't hurt me! Oh, please! Put me down. Don't hurt me. Okay, yeah. I mean, see you guys, look, some sort of like creepy stalker mugger is always going to be a fucking coward. Hey, I'm not... Do you want to keep all...
Starting point is 02:10:23 You smell like ammonia. Yeah, what the fuck? And why do you smell like that, first of all? Second of all, if you want to keep all the fucking teeth and that mangy maw of yours, you're going to tell us what you know about this guy. What? You got tonsil stones or something? What?
Starting point is 02:10:42 Gingervitis, it's the solid killer. I've had a problem for a long time. It's really sad. Are we really... This poor guy. Show him the pictures. Oh. I pull my Grinboy out.
Starting point is 02:10:54 What did you do to this guy? Huh? Yeah. That's the duck. I didn't do anything too. Well, I mean, I... Did you sleep with him? Uh, what?
Starting point is 02:11:06 No. No. I don't know. I got this Bix. Well... He was being very lucid and telling him what I want to know. Don't distract him. Okay, sorry.
Starting point is 02:11:14 Well, I don't know. Maybe I saw him. Maybe I didn't. What's, uh, what's to have me giving you? Bad answer. Maybe you saw him and maybe you, You didn't? How would you like to never fucking see again
Starting point is 02:11:25 if I'm trying to rip your fucking eyeballs out, asshole? Roll intimidation. I also squeeze his, I don't know like got around the neck, but I'll try to like, you're press your little bit. You're pressuring his body as you grab him. The vest is tightening around his core. Is he wearing shoes?
Starting point is 02:11:40 Does you say advantage? Yeah, so a strength intimidation? Yeah. Oh, yeah, strength intimidation for sure. As you're using. It's a great question. Yeah, he's got boots on. He's got only black boots on.
Starting point is 02:11:51 I'm gonna tie his shoe laces together. Yeah, if I could do an Antonio Banderas. May I do them? What do you want to tie his shoelaces together? I guess he's completely restrained, so he can't stop you. No, sorry, not five. It was plus five. So that was an 18. 18, sorry.
Starting point is 02:12:08 With an 18. Plus five. That's pretty good. Sorry. Oh, no, please. I want to keep on my teeth. Okay. And your eyes? Oh, my eyes. I forgot about the eyes. Fucking right.
Starting point is 02:12:19 Are you tying my shoelaces together? Yeah. She'll also punch you in the stomach and you'll throw up. I've seen what happened. Well, I can't reach his stomach, but I can reach something a bit lower. All right, this time I'm taking no throw up.
Starting point is 02:12:29 Who throws up from getting punched in the stomach? That doesn't happen. You can't have. You don't watch out. When you get punched by her. Oh, God. Okay. I'll tell you what you want to know.
Starting point is 02:12:41 What do you want to know? I'm going to put my ring pop on. Where was the last time you saw this guy? Dr. Kowalski. It was a couple weeks ago. He was in here. He was getting shit, He's drunk. I thought there's a
Starting point is 02:12:53 perfect opportunity to take advantage of him. He always seemed like a guy maybe with means. So I followed him out here. I don't care about your fucking motive. I don't care about your backstory or something. I don't care. But I wrote a whole thing up. I don't fucking care.
Starting point is 02:13:10 Where did you see him? Well, I stalked him. He was making his... You were a stalker too, you perfect. We already established this. That was the first thing you said, creepy stalker. I'm sorry, I'm behind. I just said I wasn't creepy.
Starting point is 02:13:24 I admitted to the Stoker Munger piece. So I followed him. Anyway, he left the out of here, and he stumbled back, and he made it to this old warehouse just down in the industrial district. I punched him in his dinkleberries. Oh, my goodness. Oh, yeah. I got all that.
Starting point is 02:13:49 She didn't even get him in the stomach, right? I didn't get him. I know. I know it didn't care. Oh, my bow is ruined. He'd punch a guy that Diggleberries after tying his shoes together. Talks fast, and we don't get all this.
Starting point is 02:14:05 I said he was in the little district. Is that all you know? We didn't sign this building, and I was going to mug him, but he just looks so drunk and sad. He didn't have nothing in his pockets. This guy isn't. All right, all right, all right, all right. Here's the map.
Starting point is 02:14:23 Where's the warehouse? This is so beneath, Ophelia. It's embarrassing. I mean, he's like, embarrassed. It's right over there. All right. She's going to think you have a bunch of idiots. Okay.
Starting point is 02:14:34 You know what? You're lucky. I don't think you're worth torturing. So I believe you. And if anybody, if anybody asks about who we are, what our names are? That's right. Or comes in afters asking questions about the doc. Don't tell them a fucking thing.
Starting point is 02:14:52 Or you're going to be wish that that freak found you first and ripped your fucking heart out, okay? No, no. I won't tell anybody about the doc. tell anybody in the bounty. I won't tell anybody please don't remember my eyes out. He finished you fucking dream. You knocked around my hands. It's all over the floor. Can we get the hell out of here?
Starting point is 02:15:10 This is a nightmare. How did you let this smile? He gets on his hands and knees on the ground. Okay, we're laughing up. I also got a video this guy. Growing up after you punch him in the dick. This is perplexing. It's a setting change.
Starting point is 02:15:48 One of the many. NeonrbG.com. That's right, neonrbrogue.com. All right, I think I know where we're going. I think we're going to get there pretty quick, actually. I'll open up my note folds and I'll put another 20 notes on the bar. On the bar. Thanks.
Starting point is 02:16:06 Oh, much appreciated. Did you get the information you were looking for? I hope so. doing that again. I hope not. I've never seen a man on my boots. I think he was telling the truth. I've never seen a man lit drink off the floor like that.
Starting point is 02:16:21 Yeah, that was really sad. Yeah, it's really weird, though. I mean, usually when I ask him someone to do it, they just do it immediately. I don't get it. It's really easy. I don't think it helped that his drink, that he spilled his puke all over his drink.
Starting point is 02:16:33 We're not going to think about that. Okay. See? You're asking a fucking cop for help. That's how you do it. We got it. And if anyone asks, you don't know our first names. I wasn't the name that I said, and you didn't hear Reganette's name either.
Starting point is 02:16:52 Ziggy, I won't tell the soul name. No, no, no, no. You walked right up to me and said, hi, my name's Ziggy. I thought we were exchanging, I thought we were exchanging first names. I didn't get it. You have to rewind. If I could save scum, I would. Kids these days.
Starting point is 02:17:18 You know where we're going? Yep, I got it. Where's Ophelia? This is really beneath her. We head to the warehouse. Yeah, I lead the way. You guys head to the warehouse. You make your way
Starting point is 02:17:32 and you make your way out of the doors of the canteen. You push them open and you begin to head towards the warehouse where you would, except you're suddenly struck with a blinding light. quickly you're suddenly struck with a blinding light And as you were grabbing Martel and shaking him And he's loudly shouting about the dock And the bounty and things like that
Starting point is 02:18:07 You hear a voice ring out Through the city streets Well, well, wow! Other bounty hunters, I see? Who the hell is that? Who's that? I feel like I recognize that voice. I'm so glad you asked.
Starting point is 02:18:26 It's me, Rex Maxim, head of the maximum bounty crew, led by me, Rex Maxim. Who's Rex Maxim? And my crew of Tufts here right behind me. Oh, no. And it take you, yeah, you're going to give us that bounty. Hey, it's me. What's you doing? What's it happening?
Starting point is 02:18:49 Oh, my God, that's looking so good. Oh, you know, just a little GtL, a little GtL, you know, just keep it fit. Why, are you bounty hunting now? Oh, the circumstance. You're stealing the spotlight, buddy. Take a back seat. No, I'm not interested in you. I mean, the circumstance and they cut your hours of Black Hole Sunnyside up.
Starting point is 02:19:31 No, no, no. Excuse me. Not interested in me, but I'm Rex Maxim. The end of the bounty crew, Maximum, Reg. Did we know you? Everybody knows me. Okay, so the circumstance, anyway. The circumstance, turn around.
Starting point is 02:19:46 Okay. Oh, okay, I'll just wait here until we're ready to fight. I think to be fair, that's one of his favorite. Yeah, I know last time you saw me I was at the beach cabana, but I got a new job. There's a lot of dead around here. I know he's so great. You know how unflaffable is. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:20:03 Anyway. Unvothered king. He's one of my best friends. Oh, good seeing you. I'm sure I'm going to turn back around shortly here, but, uh, yeah. Okay, okay Anyway We're here on the set
Starting point is 02:20:19 Of Maximum Bounty And I hear tell You are also hunting the doctor Well, I can't have that happen Stupid TV show Oh, you're shooting the show right now Oh, that's the lights And all the camera people behind me
Starting point is 02:20:31 I also have two other goons Right behind me But they're wearing the masks Because the whole spotlight thing It's just really hard to get screen time I've seen all your other shows You've done tons of stuff. This is a bounty show?
Starting point is 02:20:46 Oh, yeah. It's new, actually. It's coming out. That's so cool. You don't know him, Pixel? I'm... You're shiny. Thank you for noticing.
Starting point is 02:20:56 No, I mean, you look sweaty on camera that doesn't translate well. I can't believe you let your crew put you on camera all shiny like that. Oh, Pixel, I see what's happening here. I'm not sweating. I'm glistening. Okay?
Starting point is 02:21:09 It's all part of the fact. They spray a little extra on. to really give me that rough and tumble from the streets kind of look while I'm chasing down in the streets It's part of a signature body oil he puts on before every show It's it's Rex Maximum's a Rex Maximum's a body oil stay a while and glisten He's for real, stay a while and glisten It's absolutely the oil line
Starting point is 02:21:38 You're a good one you're part of this bounty team Yeah, yeah yeah yeah Oh, man. It's a shame I'm going to have to shoot you with laser guns. Because I actually quite like you. The way we can get out of this, though, there's a peaceful way. I just need all the information you've accumulated on the bounty, and then we'll go get the dock, and you all can go do other things. Are you getting this?
Starting point is 02:22:00 Camera people, right here. This is my good side. You've got to be out of your mind if you think we're just going to turn over the bounty to you. We've already done the hard part. Are you like one of the helpers? Are you talking to? Is he not in charge? Give me one reason to kick your ass.
Starting point is 02:22:16 What, kick my ass. Have you seen these gunes? The circumstance, turn back around. Hey, what are you doing? What are you doing? Is you fighting time? Oh, oh. Circumstim!
Starting point is 02:22:32 What is you looking so trim. You're looking so trim. Oh, and you were popping! You're looking so sparkly. I know. I know. Okay, turn back around. You think you're going to be that guy?
Starting point is 02:22:46 He's humongous. We can handle ourselves in a fight. We can't give you any information that's harder. And we've been doing all the work. You've got to just take it. And if you're going to make the show, you have to go and you have to do the investigating and you have to go do the finding of all the info yourself, right? Well, you think you got under yourself in the fight?
Starting point is 02:23:04 Well, I'll cut you. What is your deal? What is your deal? Who is this? This is the Jaza standing on his other side. And to his right, the circumstances is this big. riso, a red rhizzo. And off the side, you see a slightly
Starting point is 02:23:18 shorter jawsa with kind of a night, almost like a like a cupless, like a laser cupless in the side. Oh, I recognize that guy. He was eliminated for Maximum Chef. Oh, no, no, no, but that was a cheat. That was a cheat.
Starting point is 02:23:31 Y'all, I hear you. Who is this guy? I didn't prepare for that secret ingredient. I'm not actually allowed to see my name on the maximum bounty anymore. Why is that? Well, we bleeped out every time and it's not good for you mean. Aye! Don't make him say the name, okay?
Starting point is 02:23:47 Oh, we've been through this, Jaws. We've been through this, okay? You're bad for publicity. Just sit there and be menacing. Wasn't the circumstance at Lublin last time we met him? I'm pretty sure he was. I guess it's just non-chamins. Oh, it's sad.
Starting point is 02:24:03 There's a lot of things. I work with a lot of extras, okay? Really, they're just here. Anyway, guns up, everybody. Guns up. Point him at them. Point them at them. And then I'll start
Starting point is 02:24:14 It's kind of like... Whoa, whoa, whoa. We're gonna shoot us with laser guns Just for a TV show? Yeah, I mean, it's great for ratings. If you shoot us with laser guns, we can't give you all the information that we found out. May you persuasion check.
Starting point is 02:24:35 21. That's good thinking. I can see you and this guy are really the heads around here. You're the big brains. You're the thinkers. Guns down, everybody. Guns down. Surely we can come to some sort of a, uh, uh, uh, no, you just go away. You go find your own bounty. Just go away.
Starting point is 02:24:57 What, but no, what we got on the trail of this one? I don't want to go find a whole other bounty. You know how much it costs to bring these guys around? Wait, hold on. When you say this one, who do you mean? Well, I don't know who do you mean. Who do you mean? No, no, you say it first.
Starting point is 02:25:16 I want to make sure that you know the bounty. Wait a minute. You don't even know what you're talking about. What are you out there? On maximum bounty, Rex Maxim, Lady Luck, is always on my side. And here I am. Here I am in front of you,
Starting point is 02:25:34 and you're in the middle of handing me over the bounty. Four. Say it on three at the same time. One, two, two. Three in my way. Oh, he's good. He's good. Hey, no.
Starting point is 02:25:50 Oh, God, I thought I had you at that one. My name is Co. It stands for knockout. And I'm going to kick these guys' asses. What are you doing? When Rex showed up, we were really surprised. When they pointed guns at us, we didn't know. What?
Starting point is 02:26:11 I want they able to say. We didn't know what to do. They were supposed to do. I forgot. I forgot. I forgot. I forgot. we were going to be on the show. Hold on, hold on.
Starting point is 02:26:20 I'm going to pull out the body oil. Jesus. Oh! You never sprays stay a while and glisten right in the eyes. You get it kind of a bubble in the forehead and then massage it into the pores. Why is it so oily? Oh, terrible technique. Wait, are they actually filming this? Are you given that footage?
Starting point is 02:26:44 No, get me off screen. I don't want to walk into the camera. I'm trying to like... You can go out easily. The cameras all the thing are capturing everything. They think it's a part of the thing. You get up there and wear those classic, like, oh, your hand gets in front of the camera and it cuts out.
Starting point is 02:27:02 Oh, the lights still focus on you. Okay, guys, I got a level with you. It's raining out here, okay? Give me the bounty and let's go on. I'll collect the reward. I'll find whoever it is. I mean, I got all these guys. Well, we kind of know a creep who's right inside.
Starting point is 02:27:26 Oh, no. Everyone was wondering the entire time, why was Ophelia here? This was way beneath her. That's gonna play well on camera. You two are made for it. You two are made for it. You said the creep's inside.
Starting point is 02:27:43 The bounty? Yeah, you and your crew, you can go and find out who the creep is. It'll be, it'll, it's all part of the, the bounty hunting experience. Rex Maxim does it again. Secures another bounty. From these bumbling bounty buffoons, you thought you captured him here.
Starting point is 02:28:04 We're not bumbling bounty buffoons? Yes, you are. What does the camera guy look like? You know, like black caps turned backwards, glasses like really, really, you know, like into the lens. in. Okay, can I, getting to do my last confessional, I mean, you're
Starting point is 02:28:23 producer, don't mean what to say, right? The false trauma. Sure, yeah. Okay, and then I... I just tried to back it out of his hand to crash. Oh, oh, that lens. That lens was so expensive. I walked over to it. Hey, you know who has to pay for that? Well, now I'm definitely taking this bounty. Quit breaking the cameras. Good luck. Fuck you.
Starting point is 02:28:42 Get out of here. Course language on TV. What is this? Rated R? I get one of those. Let's get out of here. Wait, so you're going inside? Oh, yeah, I'm going to take the bounty. I'm going to take the pervert bounty inside. He's good.
Starting point is 02:28:57 Yeah, there's a real pervert in there. Yeah. You'll know who he is by looking at it. Oh, I'm sure. Yeah. You can just tell sometimes when you look at someone, you know. Or you can just smell sometimes. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:29:08 Oh, the smell. Yeah. Oh. I got something for that, though. Ziggy, you know what it is. Ew. Yeah. Oh, sexy Raxie's sword spray.
Starting point is 02:29:32 That's right. That's right. Anyway, well, this has been fun. You're all going to play well on camera. So we decide waivers or are you going to get paid royalties or anything? I mean, how's, you know, like how, how much do you know how to sue? Listen to a hypercast. Oh, you're fine. You're fine. Carry on. We don't need waivers.
Starting point is 02:29:56 All right. All right. Great seeing you. Goodbye. The clever editing is going to be a nice thing. Aye, Pigsaw! Great seeing you. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 02:30:10 We're going to go smash some skulls in this bounty. You kick him in a thing to baby. See you. What are you doing? Go see you. Oh, I love that guy. Oh, you, you guys, you get out. You get out of here.
Starting point is 02:30:24 Who are you? Oh, no. I was good, too. We're going to have to put up with this. We're going to go, and we're going to go fighting the bounty before. You don't have to put up with this. No, I didn't, no, I was relevant too. All of you nameless goons, you're all going to die.
Starting point is 02:30:41 As soon as a fight breaks out, you're all disposable. You're welcome, goodbye. You see a large array of goons with a red bandana covering their mask. Just go like, oh. As Rex Maxim of Maximum of Maximum moves, into the Prisma canina with one camera now of the camera crew following
Starting point is 02:31:02 him in as he's followed by the circumstance and Mr. Jaws. What the hell was that? A colossal waste of our time, I'd say. Can we move on, please? How do we keep running into that guy? I don't know. It's fucking insensitive.
Starting point is 02:31:20 He never remembers our name, so. It's for the best. Yeah, you're right. Do you think he has like a tracker on the Rhapsody? I can't imagine it's intention. We got a sweep for bugs. I'll do it when we get back.
Starting point is 02:31:36 Well, we have the map. Yes, so where are we going? Girl, hold on. I clean my glasses. I keep cleaning them. All right, that's going to take them off. This way. Up the street.
Starting point is 02:31:51 How do you know where to go? Well, I got the location from Martel. He taught me. That means. You make your way. You make your way. And once more, it's still raining outside. You make your way towards this old warehouse.
Starting point is 02:32:16 And it's a short walk. The sounds that start erupting from the Prisma cantonas. You hear the preening, you hear the shouting. You hear kerfuffles, the noise, tables, chairs getting thrown as skews, you make your way away from it. You move to o'clock. into the industrial district, a quieter portion of town, some of the neon lights start to fade away behind you, but still a general thrum in the air, until eventually you navigate your way towards the warehouse that was pointed out to you. This large building that seems to only sit one level up, but it goes back far and it's wide.
Starting point is 02:33:02 and you know that something like this they probably dug into the ground to delve deeper and there's a door that stands in front of you just a simple door that you feel like anyone would have used to walk into
Starting point is 02:33:18 not a very tall building but wide and long yep got it well is this it is where Martel pointed when I showed him the map and it looks the way he described it
Starting point is 02:33:32 See, everything seems quiet from what we've just no, no... Roll a perception check. Uh-oh. Oh, oh, yeah, I can do that. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:33:43 Yeah. I got a 15. 15. Everything does seem quiet. As you stand right out front of the door, you notice something above it and off to the side. It catches your eye just for a moment. A little security camera with a faint blinking light. It's not moving, but it's just angled. at the entry door.
Starting point is 02:34:04 I'm near Ziggy because he's showing me the map on the grid boy and I will just casually kind of look at him and then with my head give like a nod towards the camera. Can you do something about that? Would I have to find a
Starting point is 02:34:21 terminal or access point or would I be able to try to remote hack it? I would say for the security here for this camera you would be able to try to remote hack it. I think I might be able to give it a shot. I'm going to attempt to... Yeah, buddy.
Starting point is 02:34:40 Make a computers check and see if I can grid spike the security system to either turn off the camera or loop the play or some sort of hackerly biz. You may do so. Roll a computer's check. I will do that. And I believe that I can, because I'm using my grid spiking kit, do it at advantage. I believe that's correct. Hell yeah. Oh, yes.
Starting point is 02:35:07 That was sorely needed. That's going to be a 23. Nice. 23. This is your wheelhouse. You are definitely, you go to the grid boy, you are definitely able to break into it and go through and access this camera. And you loop it, you disable it, whatever you choose to do with it. But you learn one thing about it.
Starting point is 02:35:33 What you would normally expect to see some form of closed circuit security monitoring this camera, as you remote in to access it to take control, just before your handshake completes, you catch the faintest glimpse of code of a handshake disengaging, somebody else remote accessing into the camera. There's someone else in the system. What? What do you mean? I think there's there, there's someone else in the code here. I got a little shimmer, a little, a little hint.
Starting point is 02:36:13 Hey, just just just just just hold on. Can I can I see if I can trace this person or follow that or is it just a ghost? It comes and goes. I'd say with a 23, you attempt to reverse hack it, attempt to get a location of it. But it feels eerie. You normally get this signature of a counter hacker. This feels almost like a ghost, but you're so sure that something was there,
Starting point is 02:36:48 something was monitoring, but it was so lightning fast, and it's a disconnect, almost beyond even your speed as an expert hyper-coder in what you would have expected another odor to be able to accomplish in that time. time. They're gone. I lost the signature. No, hold, hold on, hold on. No, whoever I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I know, I, I noticed. They, they, they, they, they, they were out of there. Ligate me split, split. Damn it. So, somebody knows we're here. They, they, they, they know that I was in the system. Uh, if they, if they are here, then they, they, they, they might know that we're present, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, if somebody was trying to somebody was trying to,
Starting point is 02:37:35 access it. It wouldn't be too hard to deduce. Ophelia, do what you do. Get us inside. And what is the door? Seems like a relatively simple door. I mean, there's a lock under it as if for a standard
Starting point is 02:37:55 key. Doesn't have a keypad that sits in front of it, not concerned with a heavy level of security at this point. There's almost like a run down portion of the town, almost as if this facility you'd imagine to be defunct. Okay.
Starting point is 02:38:12 I will just kind of cursory check the door, make sure that I don't see any like trip wire or any kind of thing like that, but I'll make to unlock the door. For investigation, I'm sorry, an investigation check. Check for traps. This is D&D folks.
Starting point is 02:38:30 Hey, ha, hey, yeah. I do like D&D. I don't know if you knew that. It's a seven, right? Yes. Okay. Sorry. I'm glad you asked your almost completely blind husband. I know.
Starting point is 02:38:44 That's only an eight. That's an eight. Even with an eight, with your skill, it's relatively plain to see as you check this door, but it does not in any way feel trapped to you. It is locked, and you may have to pick it or force your way in some other way, but it does not seem to be trapped. You believe that if you would attempt to open this, it would do so without, some massive consequence.
Starting point is 02:39:10 Okay. Yeah, I would make to unlock this door, kind of being aware if there looked like there were any alarms or anything that might go off tied to that. Roll a sleight of hand, I believe. With bypass tools. Oh, with bypass tools. Yes. Which is at advantage? Yeah, I have something.
Starting point is 02:39:37 I believe you have bypass tools. See, it's added advantage, I believe. So it's added advantage and you add your proficiency. Ooh! And your decks. Slate of hand is, so that's 20. Your advantage. Oh, okay. If you want to try to roll higher.
Starting point is 02:39:56 That's 21. Nice. Hell yeah. Ooh. Do I need to add anything else? I'm sorry. That's already. No, you're good. You should be good.
Starting point is 02:40:04 That's good. You're good. 21. 21. With a 21, you move to the door. You give it a little knock around where the lock is. With a flick of your wrist on the right, a tool, a bypass tool, ejects out of it, and you grab it in the air as you fit it into the lock. And in seconds, it bears open to you, and you hear a familiar click
Starting point is 02:40:29 before you reinsert the tool, and you turn the knob and push the door open. All right. Nice. Well done. Easy. Wasn't very secure, but they still got the camera. It doesn't make any sense. Let's keep an eye out. What are they going to do?
Starting point is 02:40:53 He's an old man. He's in a full like a house of cars. He's somehow killing these people, ripping out their hypersports. He's probably sneaking up on him. I'm telling you, Rhett, something about this doesn't add up. Anatrons are made of metal. It's not like you snap your fingers and rip their fucking heart out. Didn't Martel say he was well off?
Starting point is 02:41:10 Maybe he has money. Maybe he bought like a cool Heart-wrapping suit. Heart-ripping suit. Well, keep an eye I have a giant spike club with electricity. That helps. I think that will be very effective.
Starting point is 02:41:24 In many situations. And if he has a suit, then I can hack it. You proceed. You proceed into the warehouse. Opening in front of you, you see tools strewn all about the room. different parts, arms, legs.
Starting point is 02:41:44 You see what looks like the construction pieces of robots and they're large in number. The ceiling extends maybe 15 feet above you. At the other end of this room, you see a square cutout against what is otherwise a large open space. That cutout darkened almost as if by dust
Starting point is 02:42:09 windows, you see this very faint, blinking light and movement on the other side of the room. In this room, relatively sparse, except for the tools that are thrown about the room, the parts, you see kind of a large open section of the floor in front of you. and then just that piece on the other side. There's the square section with almost the dusted glass, the slight blinking light, and just off directly in front of you on the other side, a door. Another door closed.
Starting point is 02:42:51 Apologies if you said this, but what's the visibility like? This is kind of a dark room. It's not like so terribly dark, but it's kind of like far above you, 15 feet up in the air these faint almost like fading fluorescent lights try their best
Starting point is 02:43:11 to cast and illuminate the area but it's in disrepair I'm sure others have ways to do this as well but without even thinking I use another one of my species traits illuminate I know the light can't trip and so I've done this many many times I hold up my gaunted hand with one
Starting point is 02:43:27 finger in a small almost like a tiny sun sparks at the tip of my finger and kind of floats their hovers and as I use the light cantrip and illuminate the area around me. You do so. You illuminate the area around you. I'll take a group perception check. I got 18. 15.
Starting point is 02:43:54 6. 13. 6. Pike, as you illuminate the area, you'll notice one thing about the open floor. Kind of this slight dust almost accumulating, like a place that wasn't. loved for or cared for, maybe just a place that was used because of necessity. But you'll notice a little bit in that center, a very faint layer of dust. It's actually extremely
Starting point is 02:44:21 hard to pick up, but you can almost make out what looks like footprints that were all like a large collection of people standing in the center of the room. that are now no longer here. Hey, Rhett, you see that? It looks like tracks of some kind. Yeah. See where he might be going?
Starting point is 02:44:53 We'll get a closer look, but whoever was here, it's like they're long gone now. And I'll move closer to it. The tracks? Yeah, church right? Yeah, better look and see if they move in any direction or just proceed forward. As you move towards the tracks,
Starting point is 02:45:09 and you really get down, you start investigating them, you'll notice two things. You'll notice they do seem to all move towards the door on the other side of the room. Not that square, where there's the slight movement, the blinking light, but the actual door on the other side of the room. And one other thing you'll notice about the footprints is they all seem to be almost the exact same size. It's hard to tell us.
Starting point is 02:45:40 I'll again turn to red as I get a better look at this and say, well, easy enough. They go that way, but there's movement over there. What do you think? Did we call out? Hard to say. It's pretty far away and it looks like glass. They might not even hear us.
Starting point is 02:46:02 Is it like, one, is the blinking, like, blinking like the camera was, like a red light blinking or different? No, it has kind of a similar, like almost, white fluorescent dull glow. Okay. And then is the movement regular or, like, is it, like some? Roll your own perception, Jack. Ooh.
Starting point is 02:46:29 Better roll high. Uh, 21. Whoa! Okay. It seems eerily regular as you look at it. If you're looking at it and attempting to trace a pattern, and it seems very easy to tell that this seems to have a pattern that whatever's moving in there almost doesn't deviate from in the slightest.
Starting point is 02:47:05 I don't think that's a person necessarily. Oh yeah? Might just be set up as a distraction. Something else, I don't know. We know he was stealing robots. From Kilroy. Yeah. This Corpos want that shit back.
Starting point is 02:47:27 All right, I think we go check it out. Just a bunch of guard bots. Yeah. Easy. All right, I'm with you, Red. I've smashed tons of those. All right. Approach.
Starting point is 02:47:35 Yeah, we'll kind of walk as a group towards where this very even movement has happened. Yeah, you do so. You walk up towards that square section in the back right of the warehouse. And as you get closer to it, another door, but you start to hear very faintly the shuffling from inside and almost a whirring. Do you hear that? Yeah. What is that?
Starting point is 02:48:08 Mechanical, must be, right? Anyone heard that before? Yes, well, yeah. I'm sorry. I don't follow up on that. We pursue the sound. So should I just fucking crash into it? It sounds like some sort of drone or robot, right?
Starting point is 02:48:32 Can't you do gadget stuff to it? Gadget to death or something? I don't fucking know. We might have been detected. It could be some sort of horrifying kill robot. Exactly. We should use a little bit more tact than we've used thus far. Fine. I'm in keeping my mouth shut. Ziggy. Do some gadget shit. doing. I don't have gadget shit.
Starting point is 02:48:57 What are you talking about? You do gadget shit. I use my trait gadget shit. Oh, okay. That's not RPC. That's not what that says. You go to the door and you use gadget shit and it explodes off the hinges
Starting point is 02:49:14 and you win the game. Does it look like we just need to get closer to see the source of this thing or? It looks like you get closer and there's definitely like an accumulation or something, something on the windows. You can't quite see in but you know you're now very close to it and it doesn't seem to have reacted
Starting point is 02:49:31 to the fact that you're outside whatever's in there. You think that you'd have to move into the room to find more. I think we have to steal. I let the light, I extinguish my light and attempt to
Starting point is 02:49:47 be more stealthy about this whole thing. Is it like a glass pane between us? Yeah. Oh, okay, okay. Like a glass pain kind of like from waist to height, like head out. And another door? Yes, in another door.
Starting point is 02:49:59 just right in front of you. I'll again approach the door, check for any sort of like alarming systems and open it. Yeah, you do so. We'll keep your same. You move forward. It's easy to tell once more
Starting point is 02:50:14 that this is not a trapped door and you extend the bypass tool one more time and give me one more bypass check. At advantage with your decks and your proficiency. What is the bypassed? again?
Starting point is 02:50:35 Yeah, you're good. Slide of hand. Thank you. Okay. Had a 20. 20, yes, thank you. Well, the 20. Once more, it erupts from your wrist. You catch it. It's easy for you to work
Starting point is 02:50:48 the tumblers as you move definitely through this, and you hear the click, click, click, until the bolt slides backwards, and you hear the as it unlocks before you. You put the bypass tool away, and once more, turn the knob.
Starting point is 02:51:04 and open the door. Okay, and I would do that very slowly, trying to minimize any noise or kind of like movement that might be sensed from this. You do it very carefully, as you open the door, you step into the room, flickering light above, casts it in an odd, on and off glow. You find the source of the movement.
Starting point is 02:51:32 A simple droid seemingly malfunctioning continues to close, clean the now spotless desk in front of you. The moving metal limbs and the wiping of the desk are the only noise in the otherwise silent room. You see a hastily furnished and simple office, clearly a space constructed simply to work. It is built sparsely designed to be utilitarian. A simple desk chair sits behind a wide black desk. At last you find your bounty.
Starting point is 02:52:03 The wild gray hair of Dr. Wiley points towards the floor as you see his body slumped over in the chair. On the floor, you find papers strewn about and one frame facing down with cracked glass around it. A darkened monitor attached to the wall is the only thing still above the desk. Wow. What was the verdict on that dead or alive? They'll probably pay something. It's like a robot graveyard in here. Well, at least he's dead. That cop was just...
Starting point is 02:52:46 The antitron just got his fucking hybrids park ripped out. I'm looking around. Something is not adding up to me, and I am like, I'm on full alert. Red, I don't like this. I mean, I... Maybe it happened overnight, and it took, let's say, 8 to 12 hours to find the body, maybe. Just give me a minute. I want to walk up to him and try to medicate.
Starting point is 02:53:10 listen check and see how long this dude's been dead and maybe how he died rule a message check I need a I need to I let's try this one I think the doctor meant dr. Kualski not wiley did I say whyly oh man I will say I wrote that into the my thing at one point but yes Dr. Kowalski um 11 you take a couple steps forward you hear the the crunching of glass as you move towards him. You shuffle the bot in front of you out of the way and you move to the chair and you pull him back getting ready to inspect
Starting point is 02:53:49 him. The cause of death becomes apparent immediately. His chest bone burst open cracked outward. Shattered bone blood pooling at the
Starting point is 02:54:05 base of the chair soaked into the cushion. His heart ripped out. Can I tell how long ago he died? With your check, you get a rough estimate, but it seems like a couple of weeks. Oh my gosh. A couple of weeks?
Starting point is 02:54:24 So that stinks. It's not him. It does. It is hungent in this room. The second you would have opened the door, and really, even as you approached it, you would have gotten the scent of decay, assaulting your nostrils,
Starting point is 02:54:37 doubly so as you actually opened the door and unleashed what it kept back. He's not the guy. The bounty was wrong? He wasn't this guy the whole time? It doesn't make sense. I mean... Unless he had someone working with him.
Starting point is 02:54:53 That guy just died. But he was killed the same way. There's no way he did this to himself. This is bad, Rhett. We're in a bad spot here. There's a serial killer Rondalus. And I thought he only was going after antitrons. Isotrons.
Starting point is 02:55:12 Whoever's doing this. That's either. That doesn't make any sense. I'm going to run back to the door that we just came in and just like poke my head out and like try to just make sure that nothing's coming up from behind us. I'm on like full art right now. You run out to the door and now there's something
Starting point is 02:55:30 about the stillness that feels particularly eerie to you. As the dead body stands behind you and the smell creeps into your nose, you look out, there's no movement, no sound except from behind you still that, whirring of the robot, just once more those footfalls draw your attention to the other door in the room, but nothing that seems to be racing towards you.
Starting point is 02:55:55 Let me, let me see if I can sense something. And I'll kind of smell the air, and I'll kind of get the kind of instinct and insight. You'll see kind of these, the little bit of static electricity that lift off my skin with little kind of white tendrils. As it kind of smell, there's almost kind of like this, tiger-like almost instinctual attitude. I'm kind of just trying to perceive as I use my cosmic conduit
Starting point is 02:56:23 to use vigilance, and I'm going to open my awareness to detect aberration, celestial's constructs. Faye, fiends are undead. That's really awesome. For the next 10 minutes, or until I have incapacitated, I know the location of any creature of those types in the 60 feet of myself, and I know this creature type. Okay.
Starting point is 02:56:43 And you're not allowed to just say that he notices the vacuum rope. That's against the rules. You do notice the vacuum, right? That's really funny. It's a limit, man. You tap into this sense, this, this, the senses of this tiger, almost as if sniffing out, searching in all directions all around you for prey.
Starting point is 02:57:13 You sense a large group of large grouping of constructs about 30 feet beneath you. There's something beneath us. There's more robots. Alive ones? I mean, they were making them here, weren't they? Yeah. They were, and they were stealing them, too.
Starting point is 02:57:38 I mean, I don't know how much he's going to be worth, but they want the stolen tech back, too. I mean, Kilroy's going to pay something for this. Fuck they want, who cares? Is there any, do they want, they want the stuff he was? doing too. Is there like any computers around or any like any terminals? This is like a desk. There's a there's a monitor to the side of the desk. We mentioned also the robot that's been cleaning the desk. You can see around it there are papers
Starting point is 02:58:10 strewn on the ground and a single frame that is face down on the ground surrounded by cracked glass. That's probably not important. I'll just go down scared. I specifically leave the frame untouched. I'll cross my arms. What would Inspector Paw robot do in this situation? I start to go through and look at the different things and try to piece things together.
Starting point is 02:58:41 If I think that I can access the robot's memory banks and perhaps see what it saw, maybe video recordings of the many times that it's been recording in this space, if I can go to the monitor, and if it has its own, digital records in there. I'm gonna try my hardest to find any data that I might.
Starting point is 02:59:05 That probably leads me eventually to the frame if those sources don't lead me to some form of clue. Roll a computer's check on the computer. Okay. And I'd ask what anybody else is doing. I'll keep an eye out. I am just being watchgag and making sure that we are not, because I'm just, I'm on edge.
Starting point is 02:59:27 Got it. I'm protecting co. Okay. Nice, thanks. I'm gonna basically kind of reach out with my kind of like, my storming soul, basically, and just try to keep an eye on if I feel any movement of these constructs below me or construct below me. Interesting.
Starting point is 02:59:45 I would say, well, Rhett and Ophelia, what are you doing? I'll be reading, like picking up the papers on the ground and just kind of seeing what's on them. Okay. I'll be inspecting the the bot and just seeing if there's anything special unique about it was this stolen Was it you know is there any kind of clue I can glean from the from the from the cleaning computer check Sorry technology technology check you're a computer check 16 on the on the term are you rolling like a D12 you would think
Starting point is 03:00:27 This is my first rule above like a six tonight. 10. Sorry, 15. 15. 15. Okay. You're reading papers. Co. You notice that it feels like a large grouping of presence of constructs.
Starting point is 03:00:42 You're really honing in. You're doing everything you can to pinpoint it. You feel them beneath you. Something strange, though. Though there are 5, 6, 7, 8, maybe 10, what feels like constructs beneath you, you only get a signal from one that shifts in any direction. There's one that's moving down there.
Starting point is 03:01:08 All the rest are just standing still. Do you think it's like repairing them or something? Maybe it's one of these cleaning bots? Yeah. There's only one thing's moving down there. I mean, well, that's good. Rhett, from the bot in front of you, you come to find that this is almost like
Starting point is 03:01:25 a strange amalgamation of parts. You can gather relatively easily that it seems like this is something that was constructed crudely out of the parts you saw outside in the warehouse, maybe to serve an extremely simple purpose to keep the space clean to tend while the doctor was potentially doing other work. It does not look like a stolen bot from Gilroy, but maybe one constructed out of the extra parts around you. that is malfunctioning even in its protocol to clean. Ophelia and Ziggy, you both start to, in different angles, peruse what you have discovered is his research.
Starting point is 03:02:15 On paper, you find all these handwritten scrolls, mathematics even, trying to calculate something. angular trajectory movement speed across an arc how items flow in motion very strange Ziggy on the computer you see two things you see a couple of weeks ago there is a large blast of information
Starting point is 03:02:45 gathering from the terminal a speed of research you feel like could not be conducted by a human you also find more of his research. You read about something he called the sapling protocol. You read about... That's bad ass. That's cool.
Starting point is 03:03:09 You read about something, research on the harmony. The river of life that charges through the galaxy. The source of power that all things require. turn to when they die. It seemed as though he was researching how to manipulate a specific soul from the harmony.
Starting point is 03:03:36 You, Ophelia, find notes on the hyper spark. You find notes on anatrons and how they function. Isotrons. What about the hyper spark brings them to life?
Starting point is 03:03:51 Between these two things, it is reasonable to presume that what his research was attempting to find was if he could gather a specific soul from the harmony, tie it to a hyper spark, and insert it into an anadron.
Starting point is 03:04:07 Damn. Does Co? No. I'm just separate one of Co. and Mikey know. But I think it's probably pretty common knowledge that when your soul is dead, it's supposed to be like, join the harmony.
Starting point is 03:04:24 It loses. I think most people would know that you really, you lose the identity and you flow back into this essence of life, the oneness. Yeah. Right? It's not, it's not so much that all these kind of like free-flowing, organic individuals exist in this space that
Starting point is 03:04:42 So it would be probably a taboo, we would understand probably that that would be pretty taboo research. To attempt to excise a soul from the harmony would be extremely taboo research. Do I find anything about, I connect the sapling protocol research and the harmony and the soul stuff, and I think about how hypersparks are being pulled out of chests.
Starting point is 03:05:13 Do I make any connection between, do I find anything that might make a bridge there? Or do I just find that somebody has been doing research faster than I can, even at my terminal? and about these specific pieces in the research. I guess let me ask this another way. Does it feel like he had all this research and somebody poured through that? And I find records of that, someone going through that research very quickly
Starting point is 03:05:43 or that the research was accumulated faster than a human could have accumulated. Both. It looks like someone has poured through his research, but it also looks like someone has poured through the web at an expansive rate almost to learn about the world. Shit. What the fuck?
Starting point is 03:06:10 Uh-oh. So his heart was ripped out. His physical human heart was ripped out. His physical human heart is ripped out. Presumably it's not lying on the ground anywhere in the room that we can see. but is there a blood trail or has the mop vacuum
Starting point is 03:06:31 robot great there are there are a smear there are large pools of blood in the room the chair that he's sitting and the cushion is soaked in blood
Starting point is 03:06:44 the almost the taste of iron hangs in the air with that terrible pungent smell of decay to the side there is what looks like another large pool, almost, but not quite fully pooled in a perfect circle. It's almost crescented, as if a large dropping of blood
Starting point is 03:07:09 fell there but fell against a surface on one end. The heart you do not find, the heart is gone. Okay, the heart is gone. We can't stay here much longer, we gotta move. I don't like this. Either way, I don't think he was the one doing any of his killing. Maybe whatever did do the killing is down there walking around.
Starting point is 03:07:32 I found a lot of information here on this computer. There's something called the Saffling Protocol. And it seems like the doc, he was doing a bunch of research on the harmony and trying to figure out how to pull a specific soul out of it, which I can't tell you that. It's beyond me, but... That's cursed. More than cursed.
Starting point is 03:07:56 is the way that this data's laid out in front of me. The data points don't make any sense. This happened more quickly than he would have had time to even type the queries in this keyboard. You'd have to be something else to do this. I can't make any sense of it. I think it's clear that whatever, whoever this is, it's not human. I think we go down. And if it's moving around down there now, let's go before it leaves.
Starting point is 03:08:29 And if there's an elevator here, that means it's an elevator shaft. And whether it's metal or flesh, it's gonna break the fucking same. Alright, it's on an elevator. I'm gonna basically try to like follow my sense. It's only 608. It's only 608. So like, I'm gonna make sure we'll look for an elevator, but, you know, I'm not trying to smash in. The experts are over here.
Starting point is 03:08:51 Uh, no offense guys, uh, for us. But I'm following their lead knowing how serious it is, but if there's danger, I'm ready to leap forward with my club. I'm going to take a hot second as this is happening to get what I need to prove Kowalski's innocence. I know that we haven't found the bounty, but at the very same time, I want to try to get this evidence so that if the galactic bounty hunting guild comes at us and says, hey, you found this body, we want to be able to prove that they were wrong and that they're still a killer on them. loose. I will collect that and I will save it to my grid boy. You gather the research and the evidence found
Starting point is 03:09:34 and you save it to your grid boy. And did you look at the frame? I am not and because you were on the floor doing the paper thing I was leaving that to you. Okay. I will have also done that. Sorry, I thought you said. No, I originally, I hit like 14 buttons at the same time but you can take that elevator. You reach down and you flip over the frame and
Starting point is 03:09:54 you see in the crack glass a photo. The photo depicts Kowalski himself standing next to a young boy. Eyes closed from the large smile that crosses his face. That same wild hair but sandy blonde spreads wildly
Starting point is 03:10:14 around his head. The photo falls out of the frame and you see written on the back Adam's eighth birthday. Tears stains dot around the writing. His son. His son. I look over. I mean, he's just a kid. It's just a kid.
Starting point is 03:10:42 Are you saying he's trying to pull his soul back? That's what it sounds like. It's not a little kid doing this. Is it? There's no way. It depends on... Look at this guy. I mean, it depends, right?
Starting point is 03:11:07 Like, if you get pulled out of the harmony, you don't know what's what and you get thrown into a body. What does that like? If you're a kid, what do you? The thing is playing a game. Or he might have pulled the wrong thing out. Yeah Yeah
Starting point is 03:11:25 This is Umay always said That you shouldn't Mess with stuff like this It's a cycle It's a harmonious cycle And it's there for a reason Yeah Let's put it into all this
Starting point is 03:11:38 Life and death Both sides of it Okay Let's go I'm with you Yeah I'll try to hurry Down to wherever Yeah we try to find a path down
Starting point is 03:11:49 You race out of the room You leave that acrid stench behind you You exit the door, you follow those footsteps in the dust, and you move towards the other door in the room. You come to find that this, unlike what you've encountered so far, there's not a knob, turn, enter. This is actually two doors that slide open, and when you motion them behind that, two grated doors that actually barred you from what looks like a relatively large freight. elevator to move heavy product machinery equipment things they would have moved in that manner and you can step on it we do yeah yeah you move into the freight
Starting point is 03:12:43 elevator and you see but two options the floor that you're on and the basement level and it says you close the graded dude you close the outer doors and then close the the grated doors that you reach forward and you press the button for being. You feel the sensation growing ever closer, Coe. You feel the stillness of the constructs moving towards you but only because you move towards them. Still one remains until it too goes motionless. And stop moving. It knows what coming.
Starting point is 03:13:34 Get ready. Stay behind me, Picks. No, no, you stay behind me. I'm not protecting you. We'll protect each other. Nothing will be okay. And I'll step behind him. The doors in front of you.
Starting point is 03:13:56 This room illuminated in a terrible light. You realize what you're staring at are nine hyper-sparked. hyper sparks, daisy chained, around the edges of the room, that all seem to be pouring power into what looks like an anatron body elevated, but does not yet have a hyper spark in its core. On the ground in front of you, you see about nine collected, lined up robots. the stillness in the room is extremely noticeable what the hell is all of this
Starting point is 03:14:49 the daisy chained hyper sparks on both sides also chain at their ends into two separate reactor cores that are on either side of the elevator as you exit that draw power from and into the facility as this crackling faint almost light green power stretches out all around the room casting an eerie glow I'm gonna try to see if I can sense anything that's different I don't know if it's still if it's been more than 10 minutes if
Starting point is 03:15:31 if not I'd say 10 minutes I'd say 10 I would like to just get a sense I know I'm sensing probably multiple conflicts around me I'm trying to see if I feel anything is more the one that was moving, uh, that feels out of place or different. Roll a, what you should say, religion, archana? Religion.
Starting point is 03:15:57 And, Roll religion check for me. For what it's worth, if it is kind of some harmony biz, it also does detect Celestials, which harmony spirits are in this setting. So I am, just in case that's a religion. Okay.
Starting point is 03:16:13 Minus one. That's very funny. A one. Oh, God. Uh-oh. Uh-oh. What's the worst that can happen? This is fucking wrong.
Starting point is 03:16:26 I'm scared. I'm scared at this point. I'm a little, you know. You reach out and you don't get a sense for where this robot is in the room, but you do get a spark of celestial. But there's something strange. about it doesn't have this pure aura that you would have expected it has this almost like this dirt on it this flickering this corruption as you sense these
Starting point is 03:16:59 constructs and certainly the presence of a celestial I would say that the room around you as well you feel the senses off the hyper sparks in the room All right. Don't forget that one of these is moving. Proceed with caution. I'm right behind you, Pike. And I am going to start to move towards, you said there were nine figures. About nine figures in front of you.
Starting point is 03:17:32 I'm going to very cautiously just move to the one that is closest to me. The one that I first walk up to as I'm approaching this configuration of nine-ish. And like carefully put my arm on the shoulder area of it and just kind of like see if I give it a move if it does anything. You move forward and you put your arm on the shoulder and you give it a little jostle and see if it does anything. And nothing happens at first. And then all of the robots turn at different advantages and look at you. And they all speak in unison as you hear, I'm sorry. I can't let you take anything from this facility.
Starting point is 03:18:18 There's a brief flicker of movement, you see, towards the back of the line, and the otherwise still mass of robots that catches your eye. You see, I'm not finished with my research. You think you see a flicker of technicolor light beam from somewhere towards the center of the robots, but it bounces off the metal betraying where the true location. as. You may call me Atom. Dr. Kowalski built me in an attempt to resurrect his son, or me. I'm not sure. Something went wrong in his attempt, though. He was so sure this time. I'm unsure who I am truly. I only...
Starting point is 03:19:15 know there's something wrong a corruption you see as he's snapping the eyes of the robots around you start to glow red at first one then three
Starting point is 03:19:33 then four robots almost feel as though they begin to come to life and they'll start to be this shaky movement in the otherwise thrumming mass uh guys are you the one
Starting point is 03:19:50 ripping out people's hypersparks? You do this? I started with his heart. I thought that would be the key. After all, he would give it to his son gladly. So I took it. It did nothing to assuage of the corruption. In my spark, however.
Starting point is 03:20:15 So yes, I moved on to others like me. Anitrons, Isotrons. I took their spark. However, yet again, nothing worked. There's a corruption. This body is failing. I'm running out of time. You said yourself that something's wrong.
Starting point is 03:20:40 Just stand down, turn yourself in, and we can fix this. Turn myself in. To you. And then where? Kill Roy. So they can lock me in a lap. and study me. For the rest of my days, however short those may be.
Starting point is 03:21:01 They might be able to fix you. They might be able to help. Whatever's bothering you. You don't have to do any more killing. Tell them, right? Tell them. What the fuck kind of corruption? What do you mean? I don't know.
Starting point is 03:21:17 But I believe if I can construct a new body and a single arm from the back now will gesture upwards towards the figure that's almost elevated, this pristine anatronic body waiting for a hyper spark. It's not fully complete, but being built behind you. I don't know if Kilroy can help me.
Starting point is 03:21:45 I doubt that they would, but no one has helped me so far, and so I will help myself. I will construct the means to my freedom. I will build it. I will cure my corruption. And I will take my place in this new form. Well, I wish I could say that I could help you out. But I could fix you in what you're dealing with here.
Starting point is 03:22:14 Are you Adam or At Atam? Who are you? The virus in me makes it impossible to know. I think he tried to pull. Adam from the harmony. But something happened. He was screaming when I awoke. He ripped his heart at.
Starting point is 03:22:50 It didn't seem to be doing him any good. It seemed a favor in the end. And I thought maybe the biology, the beating heart of the man for his son, could that cure the virus in me? Could that make me whole? So I punched my hand through his chest. I closed my fingers around.
Starting point is 03:23:10 his heart and I ripped it out and I crushed it into my own core thinking that might fix me. But it did not. Where are you from? Do you have any memories? Experiences. Memories. Is it me? Is it Adam?
Starting point is 03:23:41 Do I remember the doctor swinging under an elm tree? Do I remember? The hypergrid? Do I remember the flow of the harmony? Are these constructed thoughts? Are they memories? I don't know. All I know is I have but one path forward.
Starting point is 03:24:06 Cure this virus and live free. If you will take me to kill Roy, then you will die here, like Kowalski did. We'll kill ten people at least. We can't just... let you keep doing what you're doing. 14. They found 10. You can't let you keep doing this.
Starting point is 03:24:36 We're here. We do what we do to deserve justice. We can't, we can't let you keep doing this, right? There's a snapping that keeps running out from the, ringing out from the back of the mass. And every time he snaps, another robot ignites the eyes turning red. They start to get this kind of war. almost strange movement to them until he says
Starting point is 03:25:09 I won't go anywhere with you I won't go anywhere with anyone what happens next is I will take the form behind me I will move into the body I will cure the virus in my hyperspark and I will live and if you stand between that If you mean to stop me, then you die here.
Starting point is 03:25:38 And the robots that have been igniting rush at you. And I need everyone to roll for a missionaries. Hell yeah. All right. Damn. Christmas. Let's do this thing, baby. Let's go.
Starting point is 03:25:54 If you mean to stop me, then you will die here. And the robots rush at you as you move forward. You now see walking away from the pack. back towards the body that's elevated up in the air. You see Adam. And as he walks away, he looks like all the other robots. But the mirage starts to fade away. As you see these black tendrils of what look like cable,
Starting point is 03:26:24 almost extruding from the back of his head, as if he's growing hair. This black almost looks like a tattered a lab coat in a mockery of the dye. or in resonance with him. It's hard to tell, but this tattered black coat extends around him as his metallic footsteps one after the other walk towards the body as this ravenous group of robots whirring and mechanically and moving strangely. They have these eyes gone red as they've ignited with his virus spreading throughout the crowd. I need everyone's initiative. Oh, I need to roll, and the reason I waited
Starting point is 03:27:10 is because since I'm a mercenary, I got the origin of the Overwatch. Oh shit. The following benefits, one is snapfire while you are holding a range weapon. And a creature within the weapon's normal range moves from a space with cover to a space without it. I can make a special range opportunity attack with the weapon against the creature.
Starting point is 03:27:27 That's one, but then the other one is sharp vigil. I add my proficiency bonus to my initiative rules. Oh, nice. I have. Guess what I rolled? A one. A one. No.
Starting point is 03:27:37 No. You've been on a cold streak for a while now. As a street runner, I get a street instinct. Or I get other, I get urban guide and origin feat. And one of the features of the street instinct, when I roll initiative, I can add a bonus equal to the, my wisdom modifier, which is a negative one, but it's a minimum of one.
Starting point is 03:27:57 So I get a 17 to my initiative. Hey. Let's go. So let's do this, 20 to 25. 15 to 25. 20. 15. I also got a 15. Oh, 17. You go over. So it'll be co. Co. Pike. Ziggi. Co. Pike.
Starting point is 03:28:16 Like, proficiency bonus already added into my initial of omission? Yes. Okay. Yes. For ease of play, we try to do all the math for the person who's enjoying the pre-gen. So I just close my eyes and go, 10 to 15. That's what it is. 13. 13. I got a 14. Oh, 14. Okay.
Starting point is 03:28:41 Suck it. What did you get? A four. Okay. I talked about that awesome bonus. Yeah. I mean, it would have been worse. Bringing up the rear once more.
Starting point is 03:28:53 It could have been a two. Okay. So you see Adam begin to split from the crowd walking casually towards the body, towards this new form as he goes to it. A panel just beneath it, he starts to move his hands towards the, keyboard and you don't see his fingers strike down but you see the keys depress rapidly from where you are it's hard to almost tell uh exactly how he's using it um but he starts up co initiative is to you i uh look i understand what you're going through and it fucking sucks
Starting point is 03:29:35 but we can't let you keep killing people and i am going to just uh grab my my club as it begins to crackle with electricity, as the soft electricity, the static electricity, lashes out more and more until you hear this boom of a thunderstorm as I unleash the storm, a new rhizo species feature. As a bonus action, I unleash my lightning spirit. As I run forward, I am going to run, I think I have a speed of...
Starting point is 03:30:13 Coe doesn't know this, but hundreds of feet above the area that we are, there's a storm raging in the skies of the... Oh, yeah. And a neon lightning strike crashes over the factory. Oh, hell, yeah. God, I wish I'd said that shit. Let's go.
Starting point is 03:30:27 That's badass. A tiger's face erupts through the storm clouds. As a bonus action, as my club smashes into, hopefully, I'm gonna just fight robot number one. Natural 20. No! Oh no! Oh no!
Starting point is 03:30:50 You know, it's almost like I'm making this up is Cosmic smite is an action? Oh gosh, I don't remember how cosmic smite. Damn! No, it's a, it's... Is it a bonus action? Smite is a, is a, cosmic smite is a spell you can do on here when you attack. Got, I've already used it, can't do it.
Starting point is 03:31:14 So I am going to just smash in with my club, which is, I know this. I know this. I have my abilities here, I promise. Yep, here we go. I believe you can use it when you hit them. Right? Yeah, that's what I thought.
Starting point is 03:31:29 Already use my bonus action. Oh, I see. Yeah, that's right. Oh, got it. I got it. I see. Hell, you guys are all correct. It's just one step ahead of us.
Starting point is 03:31:39 14. They're all correct. Exactly. 14 plus three is a, 17 points of bludgeoning damage. Oh, to which one? To one? Yeah, in the back there.
Starting point is 03:31:52 And I am going to activate my push weapon mastery and knock him back 10 feet. Nice. And then I am going to, hold on. As I do that, as I take the attack action, I'm expending my final use of cosmic conduit as I get this fury, I activate rage of the streets, my renegade enforcer subclass feature.
Starting point is 03:32:15 Oh yeah. For one minute, I can make one additional unarmed strike or one attack with an improvised weapon as part of the attack action. Even though I'm level three, as part of the attack action, I've used my club. Now with two, I'm going to look at the second robot and I'm trying to kick him away so I can clear a path
Starting point is 03:32:34 towards this. Nice. This robot. You cave your club into the first one and you see its torso chassis almost crunch in from the crushing blow of your club as it's moved 10 feet to the to the side it's struggling to stay up on two feet 16 16 will hit 16 will hit it'll deal wow which ones this uh it's number two to 16 a hit uh i do um nine points of bludgeoning damage they roll max and i'm gonna activate my unarmed
Starting point is 03:33:09 striped because as part of my uh street brawler subclass feature for the renegade uh i uh can activate the or Saff weapon mastery, I'm gonna push this robot, hopefully, 10 feet back. Absolutely. Wow. And that's, you crash with your club on one and then you swing out with your boot as you land a crushing blow with your heel into the other robot. Both have taken massive hits as you cast them back. Shoot him! Shoot him! You see, as you call out, you see Adam for a moment turn.
Starting point is 03:33:55 And this time on his face, almost a, almost a look of anger as he responds to you. You think you know what it is to be me. You think you understand. You know what it is to be born and condemned to die within weeks because of the mad machinations of a raving doctor. How long have you lived?
Starting point is 03:34:17 What have you done with your life? And he'll cast a handout towards you and cast service denial. I need you to make a Constitution saving through. Okay. Yeah. Okay. I don't care for this.
Starting point is 03:34:33 With a new bag of tricks. Oh my God. I don't know what's going on here. 21. Okay. Sheesh. With a 21, you'll take half this day. As he extends one hand out, you'll see almost a jolt of lightning will shock into the cabling that's running around, and it'll course, almost as if it's charging towards you through the cabling in the ground until it erupts out of it and strikes at your core.
Starting point is 03:35:06 You will take half of... Oh, it's lightning damage. There's lightning damage. Ha ha ha. Oh, it is. Again, neon lightning in the sky. As a riso, I have tempest resistance. You'll take half of 15, which is 15.
Starting point is 03:35:24 Half of 15 is seven, which is then dropped to three. Yeah. Not bad. He'll then, after he casts out and that lightning charges at you, almost in its wake as it races towards you, he'll snap his finger. As you'll see this strange, Almost an effect similar to what you've seen Ziggy launch out with before.
Starting point is 03:35:48 This kind of like scrambling of this green light, this cube feature as this energy moves towards you. But this has a warping to it. This has a strange technicolor rot almost that lives in the inside of it. As he hits you with malware jolt. Oh boy. This guy might be a virus. You might be a virus.
Starting point is 03:36:12 19. To hit? Yep. Yeah, no, that'll... That'll do it. That'll do it. Oh, that'll do. That's pretty good. My AC is 16. Oh, good enough. Mine too. Hell yeah. I increased my AC earlier with my hoodie. Nice. It's a very powerful hoodie.
Starting point is 03:36:33 Well, I empowered it with Major armor. Mage armor hoodie is great. You'll take 12 additional points of damage as this corrupt of almost grid energy, orcs through the warehouse, this underground facility straight and lands directly on you. It has this weird, corrupted sensation to it as it hits you. What kind of happens was that? That is just forced damage.
Starting point is 03:37:00 Okay. 12 these have. I believe you did say 12. Oh, did I say 12? Yes, you're there. 12, 12, 12. I think he's trying to do it. Pike. I watched what Code did.
Starting point is 03:37:18 I saw this. I shout over my shoulder to the rest of the party. You heard Co. Take the shot. She and I've got these. And I'm gonna step up between three and six to try to guard my tank husband, off tank husband.
Starting point is 03:37:32 And I am going to use in sold strikes to expend one essence point to make two unarmed strikes as bonus action, in addition to my normal attack, to make three attacks against six to start. We'll see how it goes. Yeah, absolutely. I'll take three total attacks.
Starting point is 03:37:48 These are on the bots. Yeah, it'll be, oh, the one is a natural 20. Oh my God, yeah, come on. Let's go, come on. I'm gonna start with just those first two attacks to see how it goes. Yeah, why don't you? What was the second?
Starting point is 03:38:01 17. 17 hits. The Natty 20 will do seven plus three is 10. 10 points of bludgeoning for the first damage. And this is to which one? Uh, six. So 10 points to start. Okay.
Starting point is 03:38:19 The next one is five more points of bludging damage to six. Okay. If he's still standing, I'll take the third attack. He is still standing. Uh, 17 again to hit. 17 hits. Nine points of bludging damage with max as the third. I deliver two quick hits with my fist, one two punch,
Starting point is 03:38:41 and then the final hit is a rising knee to the, to the chin of this robot to try to level him and keep them down. And that's gonna be my whole turn. Are there any subclass features in there? Then you may wanna? No, not yet. Okay. I'm waiting. Thank you, though.
Starting point is 03:39:02 You charge forward. You run up calling out that you and co have this. You race forward and you throw two quick punches. Emboldened strikes land. One catching just under the chin, the other a body shot, until you leap up a little bit, and once more, catch this robot with a knee,
Starting point is 03:39:25 as it lifts into the air slightly, and then falls to the ground as you've actually separated its head from it, and you've destroyed butts. I use one of my three essence points as this guy is cut. That's my turn. Ziggy. I'll get about there.
Starting point is 03:39:51 As I reach the stairs and I start to climb up the gangway, I hope I don't get my heart ripped out. I hope I don't get my heart ripped out. I don't want to get Kalimad! As I take out Graviton Lancer 2, the data pack that I purchased at the game store, I slap it into the side of Rhett's gun. Ooh.
Starting point is 03:40:12 I use my bonus patch, a bonus action to, Trap, truck, trust me, Rhett. I pop it into the side of the gun using my Grid Runner feature, hot, not hot fix, my apologies. It's function, my hypercoder feature. Subclass. Yeah. My subclass feature, function patch.
Starting point is 03:40:31 you will be able to add 1D4 to D20 tests using your gun for one minute. So I pop that in and then I tap a few keys on my gridboy and run a script and I will ping the lovely Atom here. That's just a magic missile. I'm going to cast it at second level and they all hit
Starting point is 03:40:58 so I'm just going to roll 44. Nice. which I definitely had prepared but seeing that the army of robots are being easily handled by our melee fighters I do 14 points of force damage to Adam as these pixelated beams fly out of seemingly nowhere and just go
Starting point is 03:41:30 and I just pepper him with these blasts that hit him with a ton of pixelated sparks These sparks fly through the air. And they're soaring towards him. But he'll say, you have seen me, but I have seen you. And he'll raise a hand.
Starting point is 03:41:51 And as the beams almost land on him, once they approach, they get just outside of his hand rate, and you see them turn to code, corrupt, and fall to the ground. As he reacts with deletion worm. Deletion orb? And he corrupts your spell.
Starting point is 03:42:08 Deletian worm. Deletian worm. Oh, my. And he corrupts your spell. I see you come to play. Wizard, bad. He and I start break dancing. Yeah, yeah, obviously, obviously.
Starting point is 03:42:27 That's exactly what happens. That's fucking here. If that's your turn, it's to Ophelia. Okay. Let's see. I would step out this way to get a line of sight to Atom. And I would, And I will kneel down with my sniper rifle
Starting point is 03:42:46 and get him in my sights. And I will fire off around at him. 16. 16 hits? Okay. Really? All right. Sweet.
Starting point is 03:43:07 Uh-oh. This can't be good. Filly, every time I get hit by Ophelia, I take 80 damage. Yeah, I'm gonna say, yeah. One shot, one kill, baby. Yeah, exactly. Oh, takes.
Starting point is 03:43:20 Okay. I have a cure for what ails you. Okay, that is 11 plus 3 is 14 piercing damage to Atom. Yes. So I'll say just a little spark. Nice. Is there any, like looking around, is there anywhere that I feel like I could find cover?
Starting point is 03:43:47 Yeah. Yeah, absolutely. Let me see. There's definitely like kind of stuff, right? Yeah, there's crates, there's stuff true in about the room. You can absolutely treat like that thing 100% as covered that larger square. There's also, there's a very real,
Starting point is 03:44:06 just like slightly elevated section off to the side there you can get up to that would probably give you at least half cover, but I think if you get behind that box, you can definitely have covered. So kind of hiding myself behind the crowd, and towards the back of this box, I will use my bonus action to hide. That's the word.
Starting point is 03:44:38 Okay, you're hiding. You'll see as you fire out this blast, he's firing these crazy arcing energies. You've watched him completely nullify Ziggi's spell that's never once missed before. This imposing figure that seems to dominate the battlefield. field, you crack a chink in his armor, we'll say. As you see your shot pierces into his torso,
Starting point is 03:45:07 and you see the light of his hyper spark poking out. And just to layer on, that would have applied the sap property because of the smooth operator feature of the operative subclass. She has adaptive strikes. You can apply specialized technique when you hit her missing creature with an attack roll using a weapon or unarmed On a hit, you can activate a SAP weapon mastery.
Starting point is 03:45:29 In addition to a different mastery property you're using on a miss, you can activate the Graze weapon mastery. You can use benefit the number of times equals your Dex mod. Or if you choose to use it, if you choose to use it. But that would be. The Graze is cool because it's like a glancing blow. Exactly. That's so bad.
Starting point is 03:45:45 Like you can't miss almost. You can't truly miss. What does the sap property do again? So I can maintain mine. It would be, and again, that's if you want to spend one of your three uses. But that would make his next attack this attack advantage.
Starting point is 03:45:57 Oh. Yes, I choose to do that. That seems pretty good. That seems pretty good. That seems pretty good. Let's shot. Good stuff. Let's go.
Starting point is 03:46:07 It's got a stand a chance. It's got a chump pixel. I'm going to move kind of into the middle of everyone, so I'm about 20 feet from everybody. Not just you guys, I don't care about the creatures. Oh, I mean, oh. 5, 10, 15, 40.
Starting point is 03:46:30 Yeah, you're literally 20 feet from any one of us right now. You're perfect. I'm gonna stand there and begin to play my key tar. And then you're gonna see pixel turn blue and then purple for a second and then no, no, no. And then pink and then back to green, oh, that's better. And then her hair is just gonna get even more yellow.
Starting point is 03:46:50 As she turns to yellow using emotional spectrum. So really nothing changes. It's like she got a new dye job. And that doubles the range of my shed light, which makes it 20 emanation from me. My allies in the light have advantage on intelligence investigation, wisdom perception checks,
Starting point is 03:47:07 and the first time that one of my allies or an effect creature misses with an attack roll, it adds, it can add a 1d4 to the total, possibly turning it into a hit. Nice. So now when you're in that, you feel invigorated and involved. That is a global and species feature. Hell yeah.
Starting point is 03:47:23 Hell yeah. This war radiates a minute, I think. Yeah. I believe it does. I forgot to mention, if I may, is that because I have this raging storm, at the end of each of my turns, every creature of my choice within a 10-foot emanation
Starting point is 03:47:40 takes damage equal to my proficiency bonus. Damn. So three, four, and five would have been sacked by the lightning crackling out around me. For my PB is what? Two. Two extra lightning damage. That's just why I understand Nicky's feature.
Starting point is 03:47:53 Is it anybody can do it for the whole minute, or is it just the next use? The first time an affected creature misses with an attack roll. So we can use to us. Just do it one. Oh, perfect. I just want to make sure I got that. That's awesome.
Starting point is 03:48:07 You can add a D4. Add a D4. One time. Hell yeah. Just once. No, that's amazing. And that's my bonus action. And then for my main action, I'm going to, I am going to look towards Guy and strum my keytarr and you're going to see a wave of like pixelated light shoot towards him.
Starting point is 03:48:36 It's almost holographic and it's blindingness. And I'm, I'm going to cover him in glitter music and cast Fairy Fire. Nice. Oh, ho. And so that is. Yeah, DC-13.
Starting point is 03:48:53 11. Oh, okay. Nice. So he is in, you know, I'm just gonna say holographic light because I don't like the color choices. He's outlined so he can't be affected by, you know. You can't go over as a board, right?
Starting point is 03:49:16 advantage on attack rolls, I believe. Which is huge. That's huge for a few of them. Oh, yeah. That's huge for all. Cheapsoft. Oh my God. Yep, he can't be invisible.
Starting point is 03:49:25 And we're advantage on him. And that's just affecting him. That's just affecting him. I put it over there, yeah. Because I didn't want to hit Co. I'm so ready to dodge tank all these mofos. You wish. I'm gonna serve home, wasn't that 20s over here.
Starting point is 03:49:39 Yeah, until I sent her deflection your ass. Um, and that's your turn? That's my turn. Excellent. The mechanical agitated worrying of these robots increases as they lunge towards you. Two of them, the two on my left, I think four. Three and four are-
Starting point is 03:49:59 Three and four are both going to attack Pike. Perfect. Six is going to go for Co. Six is dead. This is five. Oh, five is going to go for Co. One will run towards Co. Two will run towards Pixel. And all of them will make...
Starting point is 03:50:16 Oh, no. All of them will make these wild strikes as the shaking, as these robot limbs of heavy metal are crashing towards you. Oh, that's a natural one on Pike. That is a 19. Oh, no, that hits me.
Starting point is 03:50:38 Okay. Okay. Oh, I get to tell me how it was the other than I take. Okay, hang on, hang on. What is this? What is this? What is this? Oh, that's very nice. Mm-hmm. Oh. Not too shambry. Um, 11 points, we'll say, uh, from number three, uh, as its wild, uh,
Starting point is 03:51:01 crashes towards you, this heavy metal blow coming in. Yeah, I'm ready for this, and I use my reaction to use center deflection. So when an attack roll hits me and its damages include, uh, bludgeoning, piercing, or radiant or slashing damage? Uh, yeah, just bludgeoning. Perfect. I will take my reaction to reduce the attacks total against me the reduction equals 1d10 plus 6 I'm gonna try to see if I can get 11 here But 9 plus 6 is 15
Starting point is 03:51:26 Oh my god If I reduce the damage to zero I will expend an essence point as I redirect some of the attacks force to number four So I get to do it has to succeed on the dexterity saving throw or take two D6 damage of the same type I can take through this in my head so clearly It just doesn't say what the DC what my DC is Oh I roll 13. Right here.
Starting point is 03:51:51 DC's gonna be 13. Thank you. Spell save DC 13. I'm rolling 13. I got a 13. Damn. Okay, well I still take no points, no damage. It doesn't take any damage, and I use my second essence points. So I try to- You redirect the wild strike towards the other robot,
Starting point is 03:52:05 but even it and its wild movements, the strike goes past it. But you definitely dodge all incoming blows. The other one, five, I think, will hit Co. or try. It'll hit, that'll hit. That's a 15. Oh, 16.
Starting point is 03:52:25 Oh, okay, okay. One more one will strike now. That is a 20. Okay, that'll hit. I'll allow it. All out. Uh-oh. Seven points of bloodsling damage.
Starting point is 03:52:40 I'm looking rough. Uh-oh. Two, I think he's left. We'll go for Pixel. Oh, plus, plus, plus, 17. I'm gonna jink and get in my starship. And I don't believe.
Starting point is 03:53:02 Yeah. I like to call him an orbital strike. I can't. Yeah, no, that hits. Okay, Jinky minus. I love Jee from Minas. You only take six points of bludgeoning damage as it's wild strike.
Starting point is 03:53:17 It's almost clawing at you as you see these red eyes. It's almost now like ravenous creature, doing the bidding of ads. as they swarm around you as it's striking towards you. And that is now wrecked. How is Coat looking? Oh, very bad. Very rough. So I'm seeing you just getting like clubber.
Starting point is 03:53:39 So the main thing is that like the virus, presumably. I basically got jacked. Not a big deal, but I just got a little bit of Zoop and then that's how the virus and I took a shit to the damage. So I'm like, fucking jolting and like, so I'm serving the... Short-circuiting as a person. and I see that Pike and Co are up there against the robots.
Starting point is 03:53:59 Ziggy and Ophelia are like pelting this guy, Adam, and I see that Co is rough. And so my battlefield training kicks in. And I literally, I'll throw my gun behind it and I'll sort of float in like a grab kind of holding as I run up to her. And I pull out my metabolic stabilizer. And I'll pull it out and it kind of has a hose that connects
Starting point is 03:54:24 to my pack and you'll hear this ether kind of whir as I inject code inside. Oh, damn. With a large medical needle, an injecter with medicine. A syringe. As I cast cure wounds at a first level, which is
Starting point is 03:54:40 2.8. But you make the StarCraft 2 medic stem pack noise. As a machinist, I have something called hypertech schematics. At level two, I can pick three of them. And one of these schematics that I can make, one of the devices that I can make that I chose, is the
Starting point is 03:54:59 metabolic stabilizer. When I cast a spell using a spell slot that restores hit points to a creature, you can use the item to expand a number of your rapid repair dice to your, up to your intent to modifier, minimum of one, to add them to the total restore. What's rapid repair dice, you ask? Well, it's another machina's feature. I'm so glad you were looking rough. So you lucky duck. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. This guy. You, your understanding of technological magical magic allowed you to swiftly repair damage to constructed objects and creatures. You have a pool of dice of D6s to fuel the repair.
Starting point is 03:55:33 The number of dice in this pool equals to twice your P-B. So I have four rapid repair dice. Just how bad is you? Do I just send it? If I can say out of 25, three, oh my gosh. I'm using the max amount of rapid air dices. There's a reason why you're called code. It's three out of four.
Starting point is 03:55:50 So the idea is that normally a machinist can rapidly repair constructs, objects, whatever. This schematic that they have the metabolic stabilizer lets me add that to healing to kind of sell that medic vibe that Red has. I will tear up. Well, it's okay. No, it's okay. It's the worst thing I've ever seen. It could have been really good. It could have been better.
Starting point is 03:56:17 14 points of... That's more than enough. That is more than enough. I'm back on my feet. I'm good. That was my action. It hurts good. I don't know.
Starting point is 03:56:27 Does the sting means it working? Does the sting means is working? Ah! It's like mouthwash. It's all just iodine. Fuck. And then, hold on, hold on. Because I'm a grab gunner, oh.
Starting point is 03:56:41 I will then see that you're looking good. Stay alive! And I'll pull my gun back out. And I will use a bonus action. I will activate the secondary fire option on my grab gun. And I have three options, disruptor beam, singularity manipulator, and suppression cannon.
Starting point is 03:56:58 But the one that I will choose is something that won't hurt my friends. You know what? Everything in a line here that's not next to Pike or Co. In a 10-foot line, I'm going to, the cannon is going to whir and you're going to see the singularity spin inside of it as a purple beam burst out of it in a line. This is the one that basically disintegrates stuff
Starting point is 03:57:24 and destroys objects and stuff. So whatever tech is in the way to, five and four. You know, there's like that reactor core you mentioned. Oh, uh-oh. Uh-oh. Uh-oh. Uh-oh. I kind of want to destroy this crap.
Starting point is 03:57:35 Uh-oh. Stinky. I don't know what the consequences might be. Unless some of the consequences might be. They need to make a DC-13 deck saving throw. Oh, two. They fail. You take five force damage.
Starting point is 03:57:53 And it's only, it's five and four, take five force damage. Five and four take five force damage, you said? Five force damage. Okay. Oh, and any non-metrical object that is it being worn or carry takes damage if it's in the line. If the beam destroys an object, the line continues past it. It fires out, it hits two of these bots in the line. In the battle haze, you have lined it up, almost,
Starting point is 03:58:28 almost perfectly at, inadvertently, at a sector of reactor. Or on purpose, whatever your intention was. But you were gonna graze one of the two reactors in this room as you fire out and it strikes into the plating and carves into it almost like a concave, melted beam as you, if you could hear, almost could hear your fin hits coming from it. All right.
Starting point is 03:59:02 That's my turn. Co. Not entirely sure what that means. I am... Because of that, I don't need you to use lay on hands. So what? Is he elevated or floating? He's not floating.
Starting point is 03:59:17 But he is at the body that's not currently identified on the map. But he's at the body. He's been basically working to construct with his goal of moving his ideally cured hyper spark of his virus into this new form and that transition will move it. But he's not finished building the body. As this is going on, you see these mechanical arms and whirring components looking to add in extra limbs, closing, soldering pieces of it. This form is being built behind you as the battle rages. And he sits right beneath it, looking up, feverishly working, beat its end.
Starting point is 03:59:58 Nice out of you picks! I see him kind of like radiating, and I get a good lock on this funer. And I'm gonna ignore the two that are next to me, and I am just, I'm gonna provoke two opportunity attacks, possibly. For two bots? Yeah, I'll take them.
Starting point is 04:00:13 Yeah. Man 16. But I'm here, because I'm advantaged. You are? That's right. You may continue. Oh. Nice try!
Starting point is 04:00:23 Okay, that should definitely. They flail wildly at you, but you move definitely as you charge forward the warrior's spirit driving you towards this construct. 19 to hit. Oh, 19 hits. I will shoot it. Thank God.
Starting point is 04:00:44 13 points of bludgeoning damage. And I am going to just use a bonus action and use cosmic smite. As once again, my storming soul erupts through me. It then surges down my attack. tattoos into my arm, up my club as the spikes become these crackling spikes of electricity, because I am going to just cosmic smite it as well. And if there is, like, if I could like knock him back into his technology to like try to like smash it,
Starting point is 04:01:16 I don't think Coe's thinking about like, oh, I shouldn't fuck with it. Here. So I rolled 10 on me. and then how much it's it's 2d8? I think Rhett would also be kind of like a smash all of this technology pedig. Yeah, yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 04:01:36 Yep. So it allowed me to head. Because I think the one was an natural one. Do you really want to take this back to Kilroy? You know what I mean? I mean, this person almost just like infecting me with a hypergrid virus. That wasn't electricity? I'm resistant to that.
Starting point is 04:01:50 That's scary. Wow, I got 13, you made me 21. 25 points of blood damage and knocking back 10. feet into whatever equipment. 25 additional points of damage? No, no, just a 25 total. Oh, 25 total, even from when you hit him
Starting point is 04:02:07 the first time at the club? No, that was part of it. I just divine smite. Oh, okay. A divine smite. So 25 total on your full turn. I'm underwall, my first attack. Okay, that's cool, that's cool.
Starting point is 04:02:20 If I knock him back, like, I don't know, I won't back. Unless it's gonna stop. No problem. And then I'm going to take my, uh, take my, uh, take my fist and just try to like, I'm going to actually try to kick him
Starting point is 04:02:34 into his, like, exposed the weak point, perhaps. So you charge up to him, your club, the spikes crackling with electricity as they extrude out. You swing it in. He turns with rapid speed,
Starting point is 04:02:53 inhuman speed, as he shifts around and he tries to get a hand up quickly. you see almost this form of this green energy that has this strange technicolor movement through it as he tries to get the hand up but your club comes in too fast as it crashes through bursts into his palm sinking spikes through his hand
Starting point is 04:03:17 as it throws his body against the console behind him and his head snaps back and cracks the glass of the console he's working at and he bounces almost towards you as you ricochises off the machine behind it and you go for a second and I'm going I'm just going to do a kick with my boot into the chest. I've already rolled
Starting point is 04:03:39 it hits, I already don't roll the damage as five points of bloodsure damage. And once again smashing him back into his machine I'm sorry how he became a monster but you're still a fucking monster and that's my turn. Oh at the end of my turn he digs two lightning damage. I will
Starting point is 04:03:55 let you know. Did you know? And what makes you? me a monster, blood on my hands, and there's none on yours, I suppose. Oh, damn, he just got you there. He just stones and glass house, dude. Uh, right. Sure did.
Starting point is 04:04:16 He will, he will raise, um, actually the same, the same, the same hand that's, uh, your club is currently in, the spikes protruding through. He grips the end of your club and he cascades that same, uh, that same corrupted energy back at your body. With one more time, I'm gonna need you to make a DC-14 Constitution saving throw. Oh boy. What are you gonna do? And fit me with a hyperbid virus and kill me?
Starting point is 04:04:44 Oh, 16? Oh, that's gotta be good enough. 16? Oh, 16 beats it. Which means you don't, you once more don't take the secondary effect. You will, however, take the damage. Oh, boy. If I didn't throw my dial over the place.
Starting point is 04:05:02 Yepee! Um... Uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-ch-de-ch-lid-ch... Nine points of force damage. Uh, is that technicolor green corrupted energy, uh, lunges down your club, and, and it almost feels like you feel that virus, trying to infect, trying to change something about your physiology. He looks around the room and he raises the other hand towards Ziggy. And he casts once more malware jolt. Uh-oh.
Starting point is 04:05:42 Does A-17 hit. Oh boy. It would. But I'll use my reaction to cast shield. Oh, this is just the equipment shield. Sweet that's 2A, Warr. That's not what I want at all. there it is
Starting point is 04:06:07 yes I'll use my reaction okay I have the spell slot for it that's why I wanted to double check that's why I'll cast shield I'm sorry what was it displacement orb I literally you don't have deletion worm no no I wish you had deletion warp I use copy pasta
Starting point is 04:06:23 I don't know you're the same fucking thing fuck you bastard and I just he'll look over at you say your name Why? I already ran into this problem before. I'm not going to give you my first name, okay?
Starting point is 04:06:42 That's cybersecurity one-on-one, jackass. What I'm going to want my password? Oh, is it my turn? I'm, okay. I will start just by making another fist attack as I kind of cross over. Having dodged the attack, I make a cross-attack to number three.
Starting point is 04:06:59 It's just an attempt to punch number three square of the jaw. Oh, that might not be good enough. 16? 16 is? Okay. That is gonna be... Which one you said? Number three. Minimum damage, four points of bludgeoning damage number three. And as my fist connects and I just hit this robot, I'll kind of redouble and I'll look at all three of them and I'll say, I'm the light bringer's godhand jackass and my body will begin to glow
Starting point is 04:07:33 as I give off this radiant light using the light bringers glare As a bonus action, I can unleash a blaze of solar radiance. Each creature of my choice within a 15-foot emanation originating from you takes radiant damage equal to my P&B bonus. That's two. And I can use it a number of times equal to my proficiency bonus, which is two, and then I gain them all back on a long rest. So this burst of radiant energy shoots out from me,
Starting point is 04:07:58 and three, four, and five, well, I'll take two damage as I attempt to burn them with the power of my soul. That is one of my species traits. Nice. Wow. And you hit three? I punched three in the face, and then I burned three, four, and five for two points in age. So three should have divine resonance on it.
Starting point is 04:08:16 Yes, except I only, I'm not attacking again this turn, and it just turns a miss into a hit. I get that 1D4 to a miss. Was it you or is it anybody? It says before the end of my, oh, my next turn. It's not this turn. So then I will do that. I will divine res. I misread it.
Starting point is 04:08:33 I will divine resonance number three. And he's basically glowing. And basically, it gives me profusizing the religion skill. But once per turn, when I hit a creature with an unarmed strikes, or with the radiant blast from my Starghauntlet feature, which I haven't done, I can apply the resonant effect, which is the next attack roll that misses before the end of my next turn gets 1D4 to the total. Damn, okay.
Starting point is 04:08:58 It's good. Targeting got to go on. Ziggie. All right. All right. All right. You came to play? Let's go!
Starting point is 04:09:07 I will run over up here hugging the wall, and I will, I'll, I'm right, I've got something real good for you. Just keep on, just wait one second. And I'm going to, if I leave the 20 foot radius, will I no longer have the 1D4 or? Correct. Okay, well it's too late now,
Starting point is 04:09:32 but I am going to benefit from Fairy Fire, which are still active. That is right. That is true. And I'll cast. Oh no, there's a, it says on here except for Ziggy. Oh. But I didn't give you my first name, so I'm gonna take it out.
Starting point is 04:09:44 I'm gonna, why that works. I'm gonna cast multi-thread, which is just scorching Ray. I'm reflavoring the name of the spell. We're gonna do this. Absolutely. Three times. So that's going to be 17 to hit. 17 hits?
Starting point is 04:10:03 Well yeah. That's going to be more to hit. And that's going to be 19 to hit, all three a hit. And I will do... What are you doing? Scorching Ray. How's you looking?
Starting point is 04:10:25 You could stop it, yes. You don't know that I can stop it? I could stop it. I could stop it if I wanted to. How is he looking? He's a great question. When Ophelia shot the shot, you know that his
Starting point is 04:10:41 his chest just towards the bottom was almost cut open by the blast. You started to see the faint light of his hyper spark extruding out from under it. As Coe ran in and bashed him once more,
Starting point is 04:10:59 that opening has grown even larger. You get this glimpse of his hyper spark as you're looking at it. And it has this warbling to it, It has this dimness. It has this flickering as the battle continues. It seems being dimmer and dimmer.
Starting point is 04:11:22 I had shot the magic missiles before. These thin beams, almost like a laser pointer, just going to do-to-to-do-to-to-to-to-to-do. My script enhances them. These circles appear in the hypergrid energy, like beam cannons. I'm targeting that dimming. And I am going to, The last one was snake eyes,
Starting point is 04:11:47 so I don't do as much damage as I should have, but I will deal 12 points of fire damage. And I don't think I have anything to do with my bonus action. I get my reaction back, and that will be the conclusion of my turn. We got this guy, come on! Your blast rings out this time and lands true.
Starting point is 04:12:10 You target straight towards his hyper spark. You land in his body once more. It's now plainly, to see is you've almost cut open what would be his stomach. You see almost the bottom half of the Hyper Spark peering out. It has this
Starting point is 04:12:27 terrible emanation that mimics a heartbeat as the pulsing light as it dims and grows fainter and fainter. Ophelia. I would like to in just a very
Starting point is 04:12:47 acrobatic and cool second like hardcore parkour throw my gun up do a flip or whatever and end up on this upper areas yeah and so I will take another shot with my sniper rifle directed at Adam using my class feature of cheap shot to deal an extra if assuming I hit an extra 2d6 on that because is within five feet. And you're attacking with advantage, right, while it's still fair to fire yet?
Starting point is 04:13:26 And you're an unseen attacker. Because you're hit it. Yes, I'm at advantage six ways to Sunday. So. Now that's cheap. What was your attack roll? She doesn't done it yet. Oh, you're only that.
Starting point is 04:13:36 We're assuming I'm good. Okay, oops. Fuck me. Do better, do better, do better, do better. Better. Okay, let's see. 17? Oh, that's good enough.
Starting point is 04:13:47 There it is. 17. With a 17, you take, you take, cover and your blast rings out from the rifle. His eye locks onto you as the, as you draw a bead on him and the blast goes out. And as he did for Ziggy, you'll see that strange technical effect go up.
Starting point is 04:14:10 And the blast will be eaten by the shield. That was a good seal on Mesa's part. He could have used it. He could have used it. Fuck, you pass my turn. No, I'm just kidding. Inception him. Pixel.
Starting point is 04:14:22 Derek. Oh, no, I will bonus. No, I don't need to do that, no. That's okay. I don't need to do that. Pixel will move closer to Ziggy and Ophelia in the hopes of being able to get them. Not worried about Co at all, but to see. Is it an opportunity to tag?
Starting point is 04:14:44 Huh? Yeah. I just need to be able to get. Yeah, that's that. That's good. Everybody. Number two, can take an opportunity to attack me. Number two? Number two.
Starting point is 04:15:02 Fifteen? That hits. Oh. Can I see the... Thank you. Seven points of bludgeoning damage. Oh my gosh. But you don't throw out.
Starting point is 04:15:18 No, I cough up blood, though. Oh, gosh. As I look toward this guy, and I'm going to Starry wisp him. Nice. Whips. Whips.
Starting point is 04:15:34 Whips. Wips. I'm gonna starry whips him. He's 60 feet away, yeah, he's less than 60 feet away. Oh, absolutely. You're gonna. No, I miss. Isn't his hack roll?
Starting point is 04:15:49 Oh, no, he's, I'm at advantage. I think that is a 16. That is? I will say mechanically, he cast shield. Oh, that's right. I believe it increases his AC for the whole round. Oh. I thought it was just that turn. 16 will still mess. Yeah. Good try. That's my try. Good try. The robots, once more, will dash wildly
Starting point is 04:16:18 at all of you as much as they can. Two at Pike. Yeah, come on, bring it. One now, or the two will collapse around Rhett on the other side. And then is there another one or? There's two on, there's two right next to me, two next, the Pike and one between both. Yeah, only six is dead. They're all like rough, well, okay. They're all pretty roughed up. I hope so.
Starting point is 04:16:39 Yeah, I mean, cooed a bazillion damage to one and two. First misses, these are on Pike, the second misses. The third, oh my god. Fourth, okay. 21 to hit red. Oh, geez. Hold on. 21, you say?
Starting point is 04:16:57 No. That's what I say. 21, my EC is. Sorry. 60. Yeah, we all have 16. Shield wouldn't do anything? Oh, no. No, wouldn't it?
Starting point is 04:17:07 Doesn't it add five? Yeah, but it does. Meets or beats. That's the worst feeling in the world. It's happened so many times. What happened? What did you do? Shield is still meet or beat. It ties what he gets if he gets shield,
Starting point is 04:17:17 so it still fails. But yeah, but what did you get? Are you within 20 feet of me? No, no, that's for a missout on attack roll, right? Right. Isn't that what this is? No, they're attacking him. Oh, right. It's ripping him limb from limb.
Starting point is 04:17:30 Oh. Nine points of bludgeoning damage to RET. As a reaction, I use unyielding density an etheron feature where I roll the D12 and I reduce the damage and then my next attack. I can shoot that damage back. It's extra force damage. That's good.
Starting point is 04:17:46 I rolled well for once. I raised by eight. Yeah. It was nine. Oh, I think one point of damage. Incredible. I roll one more. I rolled even as an odds.
Starting point is 04:17:56 It's gonna come at Pike. Yeah. 22. That'll hit. Okay. I'm gonna attempt to move like, You got it. Solar light and reduce this by. This is eight points of damage.
Starting point is 04:18:09 Reduce it by 10. I will not spend an S's point this time. As I just deflect the move. Okay. It is a glancing blow off my collar. Still, these robots just can't get in, can't crack your defenses. As you move around.
Starting point is 04:18:24 And, Rep, it's now your turn. Seeing all these guys, can I, can I, I can kind of squeeze through here. I'm gonna kind of like go... I'm just gonna back up and take an opportunity attack from
Starting point is 04:18:39 one, and five, I guess. Fuck it. Jeez. Two. We got endless. You got on this guy. They're all so weak, though. Five more points of bludgeon damage.
Starting point is 04:18:57 I am going to... Let me just mark that. I am going to... to use my bonus action to do that beam again. And it's sort of right in range with the reactor thing again. So they need to make a deck save. Melt Zygd, because that'd be awesome. Oh, five.
Starting point is 04:19:17 He's our spring dancing. They fail, they take. I never stop. 2, 1, 5, and 4 all take 9 points of force damage. Plus the extra. I can turn the extra at 1. 2, 1, 5, and 4? Yeah.
Starting point is 04:19:36 Which one's looking the most hurt or the least hurt? Out of that group two. I'll throw two more damage at number two. As you were a... And you fire out the disruptor beam. It cuts a clear path between these bots. Five and four are cut clean in half. And it does, even in the height of this battle,
Starting point is 04:20:04 it does occur to you as each one of these bots is dropping and getting decimated and destroyed. This does lower the payout. Whether or not your intention here is to actually seek a payout for the bounty, you would still know as you're destroying all this equipment that it means ultimately sacrificing on the bounty. As the beam cuts straight through, this time you've taken a much more direct advantage on it.
Starting point is 04:20:32 You strike directly into the reactor core that is next to Ziggy. And you cut almost a clean hole straight into it. And it starts basically like burbling, as is now the reactor. It's like, it's a lethal death of December. Almost as though it's like. It's like. Has anybody else pays purple?
Starting point is 04:21:02 That was my bonus action. As an action, I'm going to turn. And, oh no, I moved away from Pixel. Oh, well, that's fine. I'm gonna now shoot my Gravgun at Adam. At a D4. I'm advantaged, and I can have the D4, which is why I wanted to use that.
Starting point is 04:21:20 To use 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20. Actually, it's 21. To hit. Don't forget your advantage against this guy. I did. So I crushed that, and then I will roll a D12. Oh, 11. 11, 14, 14. 15.
Starting point is 04:21:40 Because I have a weapon upgrade is one of my schematic. So my gravity is actually a plus one. 15 to Adam. 14 to Adam. Oh, boy. That's a turn. That was a pretty good fucking turn, bro. Yeah.
Starting point is 04:21:57 He certainly looked very rough. The hyper spark. Let's go. Is slowing in his chest. The beat, the pulsing, almost imperceptible now. The light extremely dim. Um, look at this guy. This because you just wanted to live!
Starting point is 04:22:21 What more noble cause could there have been? It's not worth fucking living if you gotta kill a bunch of people to do it. I am sorry, Adam. And I'm going to just try to, uh... I'm gonna go for the hyper-spart. I'm gonna be try to, uh... That's gonna be... I'm just bonus actioning. Cosmic, uh, cosmic smite.
Starting point is 04:22:49 I crack electricity. and I'm just going to try to, rather than smashing it, I'm going to erupt it into lightning. Oh, I'm on advantage. Let's see if I current. I don't. I can match a wall on that one. And I'm going to just shove my spike club
Starting point is 04:23:00 with the lightning to burst into it. And so I'm going to roll all this at once. Not bad. 10, 16. 19 points of bludgeoning and radiance. 19 points of bludgeoning and radiance. That's massive. How do you want to do this?
Starting point is 04:23:25 Oh! I'll say that. I'll look almost like with pity, as I will kind of say, whenever you go back to Harmony, Hypergrid, both, and we find more peace than you do in this shitty galaxy and just stab it in, hoping to erupt with my storming soul crashing down all around,
Starting point is 04:23:46 and hoping to put an end to this virus that has gone out of control. You stab forward. with your club, piercing his hyper spark, crushing it into the panel behind him, connecting almost his viral hyper spark to the machinery that leads above to the body above you. You watch almost as that strange technicolor green glow
Starting point is 04:24:19 almost spreads and blast backwards. There's a chain reaction, As it reaches upwards, it hits the body, and it explodes the form that it was being built right above you. Oh, shit. The form that was connected Daisy Chain to nine other hyper sparks in the room that were all connected in some way or another to the reactors. They start to burst and warble and blast as explosions trace the edges of the room as the hyper sparks go almost Nova, until the one near the reactor goes off that Rhett had blasted a whole open.
Starting point is 04:25:03 You feel as though you have moments to say your final words as potentially this room is about to go up in a cacophony of hyper-spark blast. And Ziggy, you stand directly in front of it. I'm sorry. That's very funny. See, comedy comes in threes, folks. Well done.
Starting point is 04:25:29 Well done. You'd be waiting. You wait some time, Derek. Some time. Oh, can I and garden me well? I guess I just die. Oh, my God, Derek. You may not have realized this because you were listening to music the whole time.
Starting point is 04:25:47 But the hyper sparks around the room are daisy chaining and bursting. They're creating. a chain reaction in this reactor in particular that you're right behind, you don't feel as though you have the time to get out of the way. I would scream loudly. I don't know what you want for me. I don't have time to get out of way.
Starting point is 04:26:23 I delete my browser history and then I die. That's pretty good. I don't know what you want for me, Mace. I just die. Just die. Sometimes that's the end. sends the brakes. No, Zee's definitely got like a dead man switch
Starting point is 04:26:49 where he doesn't like enter a code every four hours. He'll automatically, like, yeah, 100%. Hell, yeah. Co. The chaining blasting around the room, you almost loosen your grip on your club for a moment as you turn back
Starting point is 04:27:04 and you look towards the reactor about to burst. You see the look of horror on Ziggy's face as he turns back and he stares at this reactor considering his final moments and who will possibly be left to clear his browser history and then in the blink of an eye
Starting point is 04:27:26 you feel your club push back for a moment as it is forcibly extruded from the core of Adam lightning quick he races around the room, he moves himself dashing between Ziggy and the reactor as it overloads. The blast is horrific as light is bathed. The room is bathed in light,
Starting point is 04:27:56 as the energy overflows this chaining mass of hypersparks. As it erupts and bathes the room, it starts to cascade and absorb and a filter through and into Adam. I'm expecting Ziggy just to be like a shadow on the wall. Yeah. Right, yeah.
Starting point is 04:28:25 He's doctor, man. Yeah. Yeah. Oh my God. What the? Ziggy, in front of you, you see the form of Adam. You see from the back. You see the cloak that he wore around him now completely.
Starting point is 04:28:47 You see his mechanical form from the middle of his back down as he stands there. You see the cabling tendrils of hair as he speaks. Well, how does it feel to have your life in another's hands? This is what it's like to be an experiment. Your life, never your own. Always hunted. always desired. He turns around to look at you and you see his hyper spark completely dark. The whole front of him almost melted off from the blast that he had taken.
Starting point is 04:29:38 His face dripping metal, his eyes burst optic energy opening. It's a miracle he has the capacity to speak to you as he falls to his knees. You must understand. I was never fighting to end your life. I only fought to live my own. In my time I've experienced many things. Been places you only wish you could dream of. I've seen isotrons race the logic tunnels, the time dolphin migration through the pools
Starting point is 04:30:22 of Shinsati. It seems now is my time to die. With no one left to mourn me, was I ever really here? Was Adam? The light fades from his eyes as the final dimest piece of his hyper spark blinks out of existence. Adam stands kneeling in front of you dead, completely scorched, burnt, almost melted, and his one final act knowing that death was unavoidable for him to save you.
Starting point is 04:31:05 Oh, it seems for now the danger has subsided. So the other bots are... Oh, as he... Yes, I'm sorry. Oh, no, I was grappling number three to like try to use it as a shield. And now that this has happened, I realized that it's like, stopped. It's not funny. Even upon the bursting of the reactor, you would see that any ability he had to hold sway over the machines
Starting point is 04:31:36 was completely evaporated in the moment that he was... that he was conflagrated from his front. His final, final bit of power used to speak his final words. Once I realized that this thing is, these things have stopped fighting, I'll push robot number three over it. You're all right?
Starting point is 04:31:57 Yeah, Ziggi, you all right? You can stop screaming now. Yeah, I'm all right. I'm okay. I don't understand anything, of what the fuck just happened. Did he save us? Yeah, I was toast.
Starting point is 04:32:18 I was a conner. I, I wouldn't be here if he hadn't just put himself in the way. Co, I'll tell you what happened. This whole thing was a bust. We're not taking any of this to kill Roy. Not a chance.
Starting point is 04:32:41 Wouldn't they want it, though? Yeah, they'd want it. Yeah. Pulling souls out of the harmony? That's tech. I don't think anyone should have. Imagine they start doing this by the thousands. Mrs. Ume would call it abomination.
Starting point is 04:33:03 I shudder to think what would happen if Drinkgo got a whole of it. I think we destroy it. Delete it. Everything. Just get rid of it all. I will light a cigarette and just kind of like take a long draw. survey the area and just say, we were so close, Red.
Starting point is 04:33:29 We were so close. Yeah. Well, so is the next one. I had all of it. I had a recording of his confession. All of the evidence that we collected upstairs. I had video footage.
Starting point is 04:33:50 I had it all. Then I deleted my browser history. So it doesn't matter. Well, let's delete the rest. You handle the computers, the rest of us. Just destroy, dismantle whatever you can. Okay. Own it.
Starting point is 04:34:15 Um, and I want to sort of like, the end of the mist style, just like, start destroying all of the, anything that would look remotely valuable or, like, would be related to any of this research. Just dismantling it, destroying it. You set to work, turning this facility to Ash. Everything that survived the battle of this room does not survive what comes next as you walk to every individual piece and ensure That components research computers papers everything goes up in smoke
Starting point is 04:34:48 And you're successful in your attempt to do so I think that I would I'm not really good at like mass destruction but the thing that can smash right but like this is like requires like thermal like you know shit I would go to Dr. Kowalski's body and I would probably just try to, you know, bring it with us or try to do something the best that I can, like wrap it up in one of the tarps or something. And at the very least, like bring it, like maybe bring it to the GBG to say, hey, the murders are going to stop. Right. See you get out of it. Yeah. Right. Murders are going to stop, you know.
Starting point is 04:35:27 So don't send any, don't send anybody snooping around. absolutely you after destroying the lower facility you can all get in the freight elevator you take it back up to the to the ground level you set to work destroying
Starting point is 04:35:45 anything up here you think that they could find use trace back from a research perspective you get Kowalski's body you wrap it up relatively carefully so as to you know
Starting point is 04:35:59 some monocum of respect as you take him back through the streets of Tyro. And to help with this, as a machinist, I'll use my manufacturer feature. And as a magic item, a whole mechanics tools, I can create one item in my hand or unoccupied space within five feet of myself. And I can choose a long list of things. I'm going to choose thermal blanket. Oh, nice.
Starting point is 04:36:22 Nice. So I'm going to take out my tools. And almost magically, you'll see me, like, take supplies from seemingly nowhere and kind of like craft and like form this blanket roll. And once that's done, I'll hand it to code to wrap the body. I forgot you could do that. Yeah. Yeah, I can.
Starting point is 04:36:41 I'll take what Rhett did now that's pristinely clean, I presume. Oh yeah. And, you know, I'll, if I can use some of my cosmic biz to at least make the stension, whatever, go away, and then just wrap it up and treat a little bit. I'll get them like tied to my back. Yeah, you take to work. You tend to the body, you do what you can to mute the scent.
Starting point is 04:37:05 As you wrap him up in the thermal blanket, you tie him to your back, you make a quick work of ensuring that this facility is nothing but dust and smoke. As you leave this old warehouse in the industrial district, it is still raining outside. It is now very late into the evening, into the early morning pike. As you look up into the sky, the rainfall can't help put out your cigarette in your mouth as you look up. Everyone gets just a little bit drenched as you begin to make your way back through Tyro towards the Rhapsody. A little battered, a little bruised solemnly. but feeling and believing as though oddly you've accomplished something good.
Starting point is 04:38:03 I would, when everyone else goes on, I would kind of leave, I'd bring Dr. Kowalski inside and place him down wherever we keep him. I would probably, while you're probably going through the manifest and getting ready to take off, I would go back outside and just stand looking at the storm cloud, watching the lightning being just doused in rain because I have a feeling like I'm not going to be back for a long time So I'm just kind of gonna look up and enjoy Goro almost like I can feel like the storming world soul
Starting point is 04:38:36 Kind of radiating up through my own electrical field almost like I'm trying to ground in charge And I'll just kind of look up at the sky and then as soon as I hear like the you know You're the the whirring of the ether engines all I'll walk back inside pixel you're not looking great right you've you took some gruces right um reflecting on the corruption and the harmony I'm reminded of what I learned from my family and from the other saurians that I grew up with and for the first time I will walk over pixel I I notice you're not looking too great I'm sure Red's busy yeah I'm exactly Dost it. It's like 400 o'clock in the morning.
Starting point is 04:39:24 Well, just real quick. And I'll reach in. Why are you getting naked? What are you doing? Put your shirt back on. I'll reach into my hoodie. And I'll pull out a necklace. And on the end of the necklace, there's a small green crystal that sort of spins and turns.
Starting point is 04:39:37 Ew, what are you doing that? My harmonious conduit, a species trait specific to me on Odyssey. And I'll hold it out. And I will channel the harmony. I will grade you some number of hit points equal to my proficiency bonus what does it sound like when you channel the harmony there's a unlike the he's gonna do this to me at 400 o'clock in the morning
Starting point is 04:40:01 unlike the the hypergrid sounds that you would normally hear this would be this would be a chord a very beautiful uh almost chiming of course, right? And I'll be able to heal you almost max. You take 11 points of healing as I hold it up, and the light will sort of flow over you and you'll feel just that a little bit more energized. And I'll slip it back into my hoodie. Don't tell anyone I did that, all right?
Starting point is 04:40:36 Yeah, I mean, I wouldn't even know how to explain to anyone what you've just done. I just, you know, all this stuff about the harmony and, you know, It's not all bullshit. No, of course not. I've been telling you that this whole time. I got to think. Yeah? Thank you.
Starting point is 04:40:57 Thank you. Good bye. Give you a little hug and then I'll race back to my room to see if I've ruined. Did you put on deodorant? I put on some sword earlier. You have to put on deodorant. Sword doesn't stop the, the underarm smell. I told you that the last, when was the last time you showered?
Starting point is 04:41:16 Yeah, I guess. Siggy! And then I'm gonna walk away. I told you. All right. Ready to go? Yeah. I don't know how I feel about any of that.
Starting point is 04:41:34 Well, how is there to feel? Did a good thing. Even if it didn't feel good. And they approved my extra next card. So, hey, chart a course for the next few ones station. Well, can we I'm really hungry. Can we stop by Blurboes?
Starting point is 04:41:57 I'm really feeling a steel donut. Yeah, we can swing by Blurboes. I'll sit down and I'll... You all move on to the Rhapsody, Rhett, you take your seat kind of in the pilot's chair. You call out to Hank to to chart a course to Blorbo's. Still battered, bruised,
Starting point is 04:42:24 thinking about how to turn in to the GBG, thinking about what you've been through, did you make the right decision, how are you going to take care of the crew, what comes next? You opened up the next next card, but still this will pay out, likely they'll pay out for Dr. Kowalski, but a fraction, a fraction of what would have been paid. for the bounty alive. And as optimistic as you are, as you punch the Rhapsody into flight, and it thrums to life and it takes off and once more soars into the cotton candy skies of space as you enter the ether lanes and you ride the Rhapsody,
Starting point is 04:43:14 you can't help but think until once more there's a noise from your terminal. You check on that, Yeah, I'll get it. And I'll walk over to the terminal. Familiar how it works, and I'll press whatever button I need to receive this message. You'll press a button and you'll see a GBG letterhead.
Starting point is 04:43:41 And you'll see a new bounty incoming. And a sheet will feed out and a photo, a spinning 3D photo will alight in the air in front of you. and you'll see a very familiar image. As the next bounty has come to the Rhapsody, you see smiling back at you Rex Maxim of Maximum of Maximum Rex Bounty Hunters. Lady Luck is always on his side. And you don't know how all of this went,
Starting point is 04:44:21 but you know what comes next. And that's where we won the session. All right. Did it. Nice job, guys. Good job, Mace. Thanks for running session, man. Oh, thank you guys.
Starting point is 04:44:36 Thanks you guys for getting through it. I know it's late. Thank you, everyone at home, too, for staying with us if you're still here. Thanks for staying up late. To watch the first full playthrough of Neon Odyssey. Hopefully you had an amazing time. I know that we do. Unbelievable.
Starting point is 04:44:55 There's so much more to come. There's a lot more to come. There's a lot more Neon Odyssey. Let's do a very quick advantageous and chill. Yeah. We won't cut over to Patreon, we'll do it live, we'll stay here. Yeah. And I think my favorite moment,
Starting point is 04:45:09 it was all that cool shit at the end with like the, philosophical, you know, Tiers in the Rain shit. That was awesome. Dude, that was insane. That was amazing. We got royd by a robot. We got Roy baddied by a robot. That was great.
Starting point is 04:45:21 What's that? My favorite moment is what you're talking about right now? Is when Ziggy, Mesa's like, see what do you do? It's like, I scream! I praise death. I don't know what you want me to do. I was no good. I was so funny. I scream. I don't know what I.
Starting point is 04:45:40 I scream. I don't think I can get out of this. I scream at the top of my lungs. It was such an, like, it was all this awesome, amazing, badass shit was happening. It was such a moment, needed moment of laughter. I was so good. Yeah. Zicki's always there for you. You just got pushed off a building. What are your last thoughts?
Starting point is 04:46:00 Oh fuck. Oh fuck. Go fuck. Oh. My favorite moment was, the Zilari. Oh, yeah. The Nilari. Yeah, them.
Starting point is 04:46:13 The Nilari Star Pirates. Four hundred o'clock in the morning and I have an appointment at 8.30. So I'm fucked. So it was, it was the Nilari. And the fact that we were, and by we, I mean me, were thirsting over them, And then Mace comes out with four ships of Malaria fear.
Starting point is 04:46:36 And I just, that was so funny. You could believe it. I couldn't believe it. The dragon prince himself was there the whole time. Oh man, I forgot to wear my glasses when Wrecked Shoe. You also saw this. We did. Oh!
Starting point is 04:46:48 I brought these specifically for when Wreck showed it off my. Oh my god. My favorite moment, I think it's a more broader thing, but like it just follows the classic Star-Dust Rhapsody Anthem. adventure arc. And, you know, if we think it's a normal thing and we realize that it's more and it ends up with a complication and
Starting point is 04:47:08 we have to make a choice and we don't get exactly what we wanted, but we're all changed at the end. And that just feels really good. That feels really good. I fucking love this. I love neon odyssey. I would say I love Starz's for Afti, but I love neon honesty. I love this world.
Starting point is 04:47:24 I love this setting. And I love all of you for going on this Neonan Odyssey with us. Oh my gosh. I have two favorite moments. You only get one. I'm going to choose two. One selfish and the other one is genuine. The genuine one is these are fucking awesome. Oh my God. Oh yeah. I had so much fun and it's because the meat and potatoes of what's on each page is fucking awesome. I'm so proud and excited to share the mechanics of Neon Odyssey with everyone. And it comes in this beautiful container, this form factor, the design. It's so easy to pick up and go Oh, I don't know what the, oh, it's right here.
Starting point is 04:48:02 Oh, I don't know what the, oh, it's right here. That felt awesome, and so that's my favorite moment with being able to play pen and paper Dungeons and Dragons again. My selfish moment, uh... Nope, nope. Grin on our battle. Nope, nope, it's gone like the wind. Oh, when you did the AirPods thing, no, no, no, no, no.
Starting point is 04:48:23 Sorry, what was that? My selfish moment was using harmonious conduit. Oh, yes. And the reason is because I've had that feature for Ziggy since days. fucking one of Star-O's Rhapsody Anthem, and I have been waiting for the right moment to use it. And now that you all have an opportunity to have it in your hands as VIPs, go to Neon-R-PG if you're not already. What are you doing? I had to find a happy, sweet moment to use it, and I think that we found that moment. It was very exciting to be able to share that.
Starting point is 04:48:57 Mace. Oh, man. There were just so many, just classic, so many. moments. Um, I'm gonna take the cop out and say that, getting to play, getting to GM the first session of neon happened in the history of forever is, is my favorite moment. And the runner up to that was getting to play Rex Maxim, again. Okay.
Starting point is 04:49:23 Is that such a funny scene? No, I did not, no. Oh, I'm sorry, Kels. No, that's okay. I think my face- Well, Kels is here. I know, when did I get here? My favorite is just getting to use the, like, the ship battle rules.
Starting point is 04:49:41 Oh, yeah. I really, really love the mechanics of doing the ship fighting. It's so fun. It's just so fun. I really enjoy that. My second favorite was Rex. Every time. Oh, the circumstance.
Starting point is 04:49:56 Oh, the circumstance. I like that. Him being, like, overshadowing. And you started to play against your Whoa, circumface. It's still good. Turned and Arriz. Was fucking unbelievable.
Starting point is 04:50:09 I lost track. It wasn't, you know, in the moment. No, Rex thought he was a riso, but he was a glovelin. A little bit taller than average. He was like, he's like, four and a half feet. I didn't know if I'd remember anyway. No, and all the guy can't use.
Starting point is 04:50:23 When you all play, down with the platists, become a VIP, one buck. You get all these preempts, except prophelia. You will get it when we unlock that stretch goal. But especially when you're not on camera and it's not late, like being able to just take your time and sink your teeth into the crunchiness up. There's so much to read.
Starting point is 04:50:41 I want that, right? 100%. Well, I mean, for the space combat, on Kelton's point, of where, like, just like the space combat is so fun and crunchy and delightful in a way that I loved, that makes it feel like a proper dog fight. I would love to play combat for three hours.
Starting point is 04:50:55 Just the Starship Combat. I would love to play it basically nonstop. It's a good thing we're doing walls. Yeah. Yeah. So we're gonna wrap there.
