Greetings. You're listening to Legends of Aventress. My name is Morning Frost, and this is Once Upon a Witchlight. Here's what happened last time. The hiss that emanates from this mournling. You watch as it mouths a word, but none of you are able to determine what word is said. As the mirror begins to swirl with a strange mist, and for a moment, you see a whole way of mirrors. And at the very end, the two bits of a tailcoat as someone turns up. corner, stripes of red and stripes of white and the coat of Mr. Witch and Mr. Light. Torbeck, you get to pick the first door. If you say pineapple, I will use my mind to close the door as quickly as possible to shield you from danger. Remember, what's the safety word? Um, pineapple. No, no, no, no. We agreed that as poopy butthole.

You're right, poopie bowl. I'm going to go to door number two. look inside and what you see is a large cupboard stands alone in this dark room. Fine scrollwork frames the cupboard's two doors, which are bridged by a circular panel of dark wood. Panel is inlaid with a silver hourglass that there is nothing else in this room. With a soft click, the doors pop open. Oh shit. You hear a strange suctioning thwop. And out from the inside, you begin to see this long gelatinous. substance begin to spill out and over. A jelly worm, with its maw completely agate, rings of circular teeth spiraling deep down into its throat as it begins to pry itself up out of the well.

You can see the cauldron wedged into a side of its gelatinous form begin to sizzle and melt. Seems to sense your presence and your sound. It begins to barrel towards you. You find yourselves in the bathing room of Bavorno, of Lightstraw's cottage. It is here that you have attempted to use the word that you found written in the bottom of a tiny cauldron to open the mirror that would get you back to the material plane.

And in a moment of frustration, Gideon chucks the cauldron behind his shoulder and it sails through the air, landing with a splash directly into the well tube, at the very center of this bathing pool. And with a loud slurping sound and a pup, a large gelatinous worm squeezes its way up out of the tube

and immediately charges forward towards Gideon. I need you all to roll initiative. Let's fucking... You can put this on the tube, please. Oh, I got a good roll. Oh, is that what it looks like? Yeah. That's a little...

That's awesome. Oh, it's a jelly worm. Yeah, it's a jelly wheel. First roll with these sharp-ass dice. I did well. It's really the movie. I got an 18. If I die, it's your fault.

Now he is going to get a round of opportunity because I would say you're effectively surprised by this worm flying out of the tunnel directly at Gideon. And so I believe his movement speed is quickly enough. I was going to say we get yeah.

We're all right here. So he is going to. I mean, he's going to make his, he's going to you watch his this jelly worm squeezes its way out of the tube. Its mouth is a circular ring of teeth that are moving. One ring moving clockwise, the next counterclockwise, as they're moving in opposite directions, as it shoots forward and begins to slide through the disgusting acidic water in this place.

And it is going to make its way directly up to, your grim and it is going to... Oh, fuck. No! No! If it stands in a direct line in front of me, I can take it. I'll just forget to rage or use reckless attack. It is going to...

I've evolved since then. I need you to make a dexterity saving throw from the place. That's a six. Lovely. It is going to... it is going to engulf you. You watch as the worm rears up. And with its entire form,

it is going to, it's opening its mouth wide as it sucks, Gideon down. And you are able to see, okay, you perverts. For the second time to that, you're able to see that this creature is made of some sort of jelly. It is a gelatinous worm. And you can see directly inside of it,

bits of things that it's eaten. And you see floating inside, of it the tiny cauldron that you had thrown into the well. As you watch as Gideon is consumed by this thing, you see his body floating there inside of it. It is not. Does he like scoop through the body of the worm, like the chocolate loving kid from Gila Wonka?

Exactly. You know, like, that's just glue. Yeah, yeah, like it's sucked up in a fucking tube. Nine. We're going to take some damage. You're going to take 10 points of acid damage. You cannot breathe. You are restrained.

I mean, you can breathe. You'll just choke. On acid. And you can attempt to escape from it at the start of your truck. Cremie. I guess, is there any reason for us to go into the pool, or can we just shoot at it from here? Yeah, you imagine you could shoot out from there.

Okay. I guess it probably back up a little bit. You can see, oh my God, that's a blue-loving worm. Wait, who the fuck am I? Oh, I don't know. You'll be, you'll be briggs out. And I don't know, that's fine. I think the dodge, actually.

Is it like the burning acid that was in the pool? You imagine that they are, if not necessarily made of the same thing, that it's the acidity of this entity that is leaching out into the pool and causing it be acidic. There we go. So you're going to zirgum down. Zergum. Pop hero, everybody. Quick, blood, blood lust.

Wait, did you even roll to hit? I did. Well, I rolled like a 24. Oh, that misses. Oh, no, I'm kidding. I'm kidding, I'm kidding, I'm kidding. But I would like to know what you're rolling to hit, please. Even if it's high. I really would.

And so you, you raise your cane and you shoot this blast of magic at this entity and you see bits of the gelatin spray off of it and splash in a radius around it. Luckily there doesn't seem to be anyone there, but you imagine that it would do a significant amount of damage had someone been standing directly next to this thing. And it does a bit of damage, but the worm seems to be unfazed.

unfazed. Did I perceive that the splash? Oh, gee, I don't get it over there. Torbeck. Does Torbeck feel like he can reach into this monster and pull Gideon out? I think that Torbeck would probably believe he could try. Oh, no, Gideon, Torbeck is coming. Immediately charged into the acidic pool and rush this monster

and attempt to shove one of his monstrously disgustingly long-armed, through the side of this creature into the jelly and see if he can grab onto Gideon and pull him out. And that will be his entire turn. Entire turn. I need you to roll a dexterity saving throw. Oh, yeah, baby. Dorbeck, no, this isn't Dante's peak.

I'm going to use a dread. I can feel it. As soon as it happened, I go. Okay, all right. You got me, Nikki. You got me? You got me. We're sleut.

together. 20 total. Okay. I will say you are, you are able to, you're not able to pull him out. Okay. You are able to reach in and get a hold of him. You are going to take a little bit of damage because you are in contact with him. You're going to take five points of acid damage. You reach in and you feel bits of your skin begin to sizzle with the acid within. Even with your large lumbering form, you have found a sense of precision with your movements and you're able to avoid the rotating teeth as you reach and grab on to part of Gideon, part of his chains that are still sliding down the gullet of this thing. You yank outward, you will have advantage

on your next world. It is about this time that the acid is too much for you and you are forced to let go. That's my turn. It is the jellyworm's turn. It is the start of your turn. So you are going to take, oh, holy shit. 144 damage.

He's been rolled in. Were you injured before? Oh, it's in the acid before. You told me to jump in the acid. Twenty-five points of damage. Holy shit. You should have healed up, buddy. I don't know what to tell you.

The cube is then going to... Oh. Wait, didn't you pull out by Torbeck? No. Technically, he couldn't. But Andy asked if Torbeck would think he could. I think Torbeck would think that he had a change. And because he rolled so high,

I'm giving him advantage to get it. Even if you had said no, I was going to do the exact way. I figured if I knew you, but I'm like, you know what? Yeah, probably not going to be able to do that. So all we see now is just cuffs floating inside of the... Yeah, yeah, yeah. You look and you see as the worm's body constricts for a second and you watch as a part of Gideon's skin like pops,

and you see little spots of blood. appear and then disperse as the blood is swimming through the gelatin. It's like when you take a syringe and inject a, what is it, food coloring into jello in the way that it spreads. You see bits of Gideon's blood begin to spread in this way. He looks like he's in a significant amount of pain. As the jellyworm looks down towards you, Torbeck, and it is going to roll to attack.

Actually, do you want to? I don't think Gideon's okay, everyone. He's completely bald and beardless. Actually, it is not going to attack. It is going to rear up and attempt to swallow you as well. I need you to make a dexterity save. Ooh. I'm trying to climb faster.

Double a double armor. Oh. You got it. 15. 15 is enough. I like calmly step out of the way. You are feeling the wounds on your arm as this jellyworm begins to slide down to consume you, but you've begun to pull Gideon out,

and the manacle is hanging out of its arm. It hits you in your shoulder, and you jolt out of the way, just in time that this creature misses you, and it rears back. It is going to use its movement, however, to move back towards the well. Oh.

Do I get an attack of opportunity? Yeah. It's a piranha plan. Yeah, I'll just attack it. Having this attack come in, Torbeck, well, it almost like Torbeck stumbles out of the way clumsily, but he moves like unnaturally quick, which is kind of weird. And then as it moves away, I'll just try to, like, claw at it.

We're apparently getting Mike feedback. Oh. I don't know. You'd be like giving me a headache in case we'll watch whenever I was having to start something later. Let's know what... Yeah, I'm going to twist.

you are able to do a significant amount of damage. This song is like, Gideon. Mom, can you listen to Pirates the Caribbean soundtrack. No, he empires the Caribbean soundtrack at home. Look, this is what I have, right? It's a wrong of your friend. The audio's gone?

Just a gun. Gideon. Me. Yeah. You are swimming in this mass of acidic gelatin. It is getting into your beard, your ears, your nose. You're keeping your eyes closed the best you can. You can feel the acid sizzling away at your flesh.

And you look down and you see bits where your flesh is melting away. And this is incredibly painful. But you are further up this worm than you started. You know that you have very little time to get out of this thing. And I'm just rolling a... Dexterity saving throws. Dexterity saving throws. Oh, and this is strength.

Say, throw. Thank you. Because you're already inside of it, so you're trying to get out. That makes sense. 21? That is enough. You are, you look up towards the rotating maw of the mouth,

and you whip your chain towards the teeth, and your chain gets stuck between two of the rotating sets of teeth, and as it rotates, the chain starts to pull you up on its own, and you slide out, and as you are, as you are, as you are barreling out of its mouth, you whip the chain with your wrist, wrenching it free of the teeth, breaking two of its teeth rings. But you are free of this entity.

Oh, fuck, guys, it assing all my clothes off and now I'm covering a gel. And I'm not bragging this time. You're covering in, what? Covered in jail. Oh, fuck, am I talking right? It melted all my tongue out of my mouth, too, I think. It melted all the tongue.

And you watch as she looks like she's almost manipulating the space around it, and you see a strange, green, misty fog surrounding its head as she places her hex upon this creature. And then she lets loose two of her Eldridge Blasts, the green swampy magic blasting into its chest, huh? Twice at once, that's pretty good. Teach me that.

Oh, yeah, because she's higher well. I'm on a little four, yeah. That's like, who I do that wants. Um, let's say she hits with both in them. Fucking dumbass. She'll do a lot of you. Nice much. Yes.

It's a nice amount. It's badass. Oh. It is. She does 17 points of damage to this thing as she lets loose. The Eldridge blasts. It's okay.

I'm going to try and help you as best I can, but I don't think I should get in there because I don't want to lose my dress. It wouldn't be okay if you saw my nether regions. That's how it works. You guys didn't hear that, but it was very funny. You watch for a second as the teeth stop in their spinning for just a second, almost as if this worm is trying to think really hard on something. And then in a fit of what can only be considered as rage, is clearly offended by something that it's thought,

its teeth begin to spin again, and it is back in the action. We will take the dodger action, and I will move back. Oh, did you go into the water? No. Oh, I'm Ganges. Oh. You really taking a dodger? No, I can't.

I use my action to home basic. No, I don't know that was a bonus action. I don't know what you do. You don't know. I reversed time. You could literally lie to me all the same. Long and I would be none the wise. I guess I got out of Takana.

Torbeck. Torbeck still doesn't have any memory of the instance with Agden and doesn't know why he's here and what's happening. So he looks at Mr. Cremi, looks at Gideon, and then he looks at the worm and says, Oh, don't worry, Mr. Cramme, Torbeck will handle this. Ow, ow, ow, ow, and he runs at the worm and attempts. You're going to take five points of acid damage. Okay, and then he attempts to bite its flesh. Oh, okay.

Okay. That's great. That's great. A 10? Yeah, that hits. You know those weird wormy things you can buy at the dollar store that is like a long? That's not. Wow.

Well, it's got to be a bloodhunter, but. Okay. I got an 18 to hit. Turns out the highest I could have got was an 18. Okay. 12, we'll just keep calling it slashing damage because I'm flavoring it as a bite. Because Torbeck doesn't, yes, This is total total damage.

You're going to take eight points of acid damage as you bite into this thing. It's totally worth it. Yes, it's dead worth. You imagine that had you just attacked, you would have taken less damage, but because you chose to put this thing in your mouth, there is additional damage.

Torbik, residents flesh away and looks back at Mr. Kremi, and his face is just like, like blisters and like graveslaunch all over this. That's my old turn. You watch as Torbeck's maw is matted with bits of acidic jelly. You see as he rages out at you screaming, you see that his gums are bleeding.

It's like real bad ginger vitals. It's a horrible sight. It's very reminiscent of eating the vials of whatever. You can see that the flesh and hair around his face. fingernails is beginning to sear away. They look much longer and bloodier. It's like biting into a water balloon. Is anybody within, okay, I need you to make a,

And I would say you even see bits of magenta where the tubes are beginning to eat away

and the witchlight is beginning to leak out into this worm. Just a little bit, just faintly. As you focus in, you try and move your mind away from Torbeck and you focus in on the worm itself. And it's tiny worm-like brain that you can see just barely in the top of its head, very small compared to the rest of this body. And you begin to put pressure on it. And you watch as the worm starts to jolt this way and that. As the teeth begin to spin and spin and spin and then come to a halt and grunt. and then grind against each other as it is writhing in pain as you continue to put pressure on this brain,

thinking about that one tiny spot and then you swish. And the brain with a loud pop, you hear the brain explode inside of its head. It almost echoes out around you. The body whips this way and that, the very last moments of its life, all of the energy inside of this, this creature being let out by huge convulsions as it flopped this way and that. and then splashes down into the water, occasionally jolts as the life leaves it. And you are safe for the time being.

You had looked at this wooden platform and thought to yourself that it could withstand what was happening here, even if the rest of the stairs blew away. This platform would be safe. You could always go back inside and take the stairwell. You have calculated all these different things. You know you have the pixie dust. You know you have one of the spider

climbing things yourself, and you're thinking about all of these things as the platform is ripped out from under you and you begin to plummet. You all watch as Frost falls down into the fog and is completely gone from view. Frost, you fall 10, 15, 20, 30 feet, and then you stop. You look around and you move your feet and you're not standing on anything solid. There's nothing beneath you. There's nothing holding you up. Will my gallants ever stop emerging? If you feel something move on your back and begin to unfurl,

and then you drop another 10 feet before you land firmly on a lily pad. And as you stand to talk this lily pad, incredible. You realize that this lily pad has the power of flight. And you move this way and that, and it moves with you to the side. you think to yourself, how do I go up? And as you think it, you begin to rise. Could you go down and you begin to sink that?

With my mind. This lily pad seems to somehow be in tune with you as it moves whichever way you think. All the while, the rest of you are staring at the fog below. And you wait for that inevitable sound, that inevitable splash far off in the distance. As Frosty's body slams into the water, But it doesn't come.

I would have vine whipped out and it just would have just... You do. You vine whipped down and you grab it onto something. You whip it back up and they just wrapped around one wooden plank of broken step. Gringo! Can he go do the thing? And he goes, he's dead, Mr. Graham. Oh, there's spiders all over. Man, I kind of liked him, too.
