In the wake of defeating Meg, she hands over the information she compiled on Portia Bella. You take her back to the Rhapsody, leave her in the brig, and discuss what to do next. After Ziggy attempts to seek help from his family and fails, it becomes clear that they are Calicus This is only hope. With previous run-ins with the Cavalon Empire, they know they'll have to falsify security clearances,

and to do so, Ziggy will need Meg's help. In a private moment together, they code an override key, ensuring the party can land on Crata. Passing strangely enhanced security, the crew pierces the atmosphere and are stunned at the beauty of the land around them. With no time, they head straight to the temple to find Ziggy's brother. brother or not they refuse to interrupt the meeting of the channelers to connect ziggi to calicus after receiving a blessing in the inner sanctum the group waits to warn him of the impending threat of portia bella the meeting releases and ziggi finds himself face to face with his eldest brother for the first time and a long time though he pleads with him and warns him of the danger calicus refuses to heed his his warnings deflated and unsure what to do next, Ziggy leads his friends down the stairs to think of what to do when his gridboy gets a call.

It's Meg. She warns him that Portia Bella has touched down and will strike at his brother tonight. Ziggy, now's the time. You have to get to him before she can, or he's dead. She knows about the enhanced security, and that won't stop her. you'll see in the information from Portia's prep that he'll be in the Southern Garden Terrace that's where he'll be at his most vulnerable and she'll exploit that. You won't be able to just walk in, but there's an adjacent hotel with the right amount of leverage you can jump.

Is it something where we can just like sort of walk around this space in order to get there? I think you go from the general entrance, so you know that he's gonna be at the Southern Terrace. This hotel rises noticeably above other buildings around it. on the southern section of the temple. So it's just shy of visible from where you're at currently.

You absolutely can make it to the hotel by nightfall. And you would be able to pull up a map and ID it, identify it to the party, and make your way there. All right, this is the only way we can get to the southern tennis. We have to tear us. We have to go through the hotel, get to the roof, and figure out how to get down

and and, and, and, and I can handle that. Do we have, do we have to go right now? Do we have time to go to that ice cream place and then that other place that you wanted to go? You make your way through the streets. You head between buildings until eventually, heading to the southernmost point of the temple, you find this hotel. At this point, it is turned dark. Night has fallen. And under its cover, you all scale the hotel building. On the southern side of the temple,

Rett adjusting the force of gravity to slow your fall, you leap from the roof and land in the garden. You arrive at the southern terrace shrouded in darkness. It's very dimly lit, only lightly illuminated by the reflecting light of the city. You keep your eyes on the roosting pterosaurs on the various parapets, and you seem to fortunately have evaded their senses. You make your way through the lush foliage, hearing the rippling stream and pool of the garden, and find a vantage point that shows the open-air pathway between the main temple and the upper reflecting pool,

just as you expected from Portiavella's plans. That was way easier than I thought it was going to be. Good job. Elevate the elevator. Gave me some trouble. You figured it out. I should mark that spell slot I used for Featherfall. Let me do that.

I remember that the information that I got, that I copied from Meg's Terminal included like guard paths and stuff even. And so I'm pulling my grid boy up and turning the lightness down all the way as best as I can.

yes, it does look like their movements sync up perfectly to the information that you are provided by Meg, but you believe to be and know to be sourced by place. for Shabella as she was doing reconnaissance on the hit for your brother. If these guards don't wander around or this guard doesn't wander around and go, illusion, what are you hiding? We have a problem.

tell and I'll like be scrubbing forward to see how the guard paths are forward. Yes, and you can move it forward and they quickly Does it look like if there's a like an easy opening or that it would be smarter for us to sort of just sort of stay back and see if portion makes it. You actually, you scrub forward, you scrub backwards, you're almost impressed to find, and one of you might notice this better, perhaps even read, that there is zero perceptible breakage

in their guard. You think that it would be impossible to find an opportunity to run. this place without them catching you. At this point you would probably determine that the best opening or best option is to hold position, watch for either your brother or Portiabella to herself come over the wall, enter the garden, something like that. As long as we have eyes on where we know he's going to be, right, then is it safe to assume that she would have to come through here to get him?

Yes. Okay. Yes. So you are looking at basically a path. You're in kind of like an open-air breezeway between the temple itself. There's a door there that walks out into this kind of lush, almost like not quite a garden,

but it's a lush area that paths to this other structure that you now know to be these pools of reflection. So Calicus would have to come out of the temple, walk this path and into the pools. So like a temple oasis maybe? Kind of, yeah, kind of. There's absolutely water. You can hear the streams moving.

Beautiful greenery. Lush verdant greenery grows around you in this area. Basically in a chow garden. Yeah, exactly. You're basically on a chow garden. Or a pinocle. And so you would know that Portia Bella would have to enter this kind of corner section of Chow Garden to get to him on his way to the pools.

These guards are disciplined. I don't think that there's any sense with us rushing in. We got eyes on where we need to. I think we stay right here and we wait, confirm that your brother is where he is, and then we just wait in the second we see Portia, we try to snap her. Snag her.

I hope. I mean, she's been such an effective assassin, you know? All this time, if she had some other means of getting in there, and she just, I don't know, warps in, and then takes care of business and my brother's toast. So, so this is his, like, nightly alone time, and she's going to come in and kill him. Can you stop saying nightly alone time?

But then, you look on in horror as you hear a low growl from the guard of the Losseraptor as it moves in your direction. You see its enormous, bladed talons. as it creeps towards you.

And its growl starts to get louder as it stares into the bush you're hiding in. And then suddenly, total silence falls over the garden. The raptor's eyes roll back in its head, and it collapses. You realize too late that there's an envenom dart embedded in the hide of the dinosaur,

and a moment later, both armed guards collapsed. You see a blur as a shape moving impossibly fast, darts from a bush across the garden through the opening and into the reflecting pool. Portia Bell Goans is making her move. Oh, man. How'd she, I'm gonna try to scream. How'd she get past us?

You try and scream. You even try and voice that. And you come to find that you can make no sound. I immediately, I have my club, I burst out. I burst in. No more fucking plans. No more fucking staking out. Yeah.

I feel like an idiot. I think that the moment Pike realizes that we're unable to communicate, there would be some hand signal like activation notification being like, I'm moving. Oh, 100%. Like we would be going as well. Yeah. I would somehow signal to you that I'm making my move. I would like look up.

Covered in her advanced and perfectly selected tools, weapons, and gadgets, her free hand was moving down to Calicus's chest when she notices you enter. She spins around with a look of furious anger with tears of rage streaming down her face. Y'all should have given up.

Of my choice in a 15 foot emanation will take three radiant damage. I can use this bonus action three times and regain all expended to use

eruption, this bright streak flashes through the jungle. I imagine because it's dark now, this is quite an illumination, and it would be intense for everybody. It would still be very evidently digital magic.
