Starting point is 00:02:15 do I have a fun episode for you guys today. I'm sitting here with two people who do not need an introduction, the one and only Heidi and Spencer. Holy shit. I'm so glad you guys are here. I know. Me too. Okay. So we just went to dinner, I think two months ago. Spencer, when's the last time we saw each other? Was it? Am I supposed to look at the camera? You're not supposed to look at a camera. This is your first time doing one of these? It's a beautiful camera and I'm just like. God, we're in for a real treat today. No, you look at me. That's going to hurt my neck. I can't do that right now. Turn your body on the couch.
Starting point is 00:02:48 What are you doing? I'm old. I have back problems. Oh, come on. You're not that old. Oh my gosh, he tells that to Gunnar. I'm like, don't tell your son that you're old and you have back problems. Like, it's not comforting for him.
Starting point is 00:02:59 He thinks you're like this for a long time. Spencer, we got to loosen you up a little bit, bud. What's going on here? Nachos and margaritas. Well, maybe. No, I just stopped. You just stopped all that stuff? Two days.
Starting point is 00:03:11 It's been two days. It's been a few days. I'm very proud of you. Okay, you're on a new one. Summer's over. Summer's over, so now we got to get started. Is it summer when you're supposed to be living in a house? Well, I was trying to gain weight because Heidi, i knew she had a big hydroxy cut campaign so i was like i'm gonna get a hydroxy cut campaign do so i was
Starting point is 00:03:30 bulky and then i pitched myself and they were like no my god we only want heidi yeah right sorry sympathy way you should say it was sympathy way which is very you're so sweet and then i'm on like you know fit like trying to get really fit and not eating all the stuff and he's still on the sympathy weight so i think it was you know yeah when i haven't we had friends in town it kept being like these people are in town anyways like every excuse to like live it up and have people visiting want to go eat nachos with me they're not like you have to eat healthy so you're on this huge health kick right now yeah Yeah. So what are you doing to get in the best shape of your life? It is so intense being a mom. Like I knew it was going to be ahead of time,
Starting point is 00:04:14 but I'm eating, I'm not eating any sugar, any gluten. I mean, I'm basically eating meat, some fruit, a little bit, some vegetables. Not even a lot of vegetables. No alcohol, right? No alcohol. Are you drinking coffee? I have to have. I mean, God, it's like take away the alcohol, but don't take away the coffee. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:33 I mean, and actually the hydroxy cut helps. Oh, okay. Right. So I get a little coffee. Jacks you up. You guys know it. Okay, great. Hydroxy cut for mom in the morning.
Starting point is 00:04:42 Let's go. Oh, man. Yeah. You're ready. It gives you that extra boost and burning calories. Oof, great. Hydroxycantamol in the morning. Let's go. Yeah, you're ready to get an extra boost and burning calories. So girl, but I do think the last time we saw each other was when I did an episode of the Hills reboot, which was almost three years ago, which is actually insane. Yeah. But I was thinking the other day how long we've all known each other. I met you my senior year of high school in 2005 when you started filming Laguna Beach with us. And I met you
Starting point is 00:05:02 right after I graduated because I dated Brody and you guys were best friends. So we've all known each other for like 18, 19 years, which is insane. It's so crazy that one year after I met you first and then you organically met Spencer in a different way. And if it weren't for you, we wouldn't be together. Okay, so how many years have you guys been together? Is it 16 or 17?
Starting point is 00:05:25 16, right? That is wild, you guys been together? Is it 16 or 17? 16, right? That is wild, you guys. I was 19 when we met. And then I was 20 when we were official. And I'm 36. So that's 16 years. Oh, it took a year for us to be official? Wait, I want to know about all of this.
Starting point is 00:05:36 Yeah, it took a while. First of all, tell the story how you guys met. Obviously, I know I may or may not have had something to do with it. But I want to hear from you guys. And I want to know what your first impressions were of each other. Oh, is there two very different stories? You want to tell your version or mine? I think we have the same version. Oh, really?
Starting point is 00:05:53 Yeah. Oh, okay. So I'll tell you my version and you can interject your own. It's exactly the same. Not every time we tell, it's always different, but. Why don't you leave and then he'll tell his version and then he'll come back in. I can't get up and get back in the seat. He's back.
Starting point is 00:06:10 Spencer, what has happened to you? This is it. The second baby really. Those old things haven't slept in six years maybe. You did. You just started not. Anyways, okay, let's tell a story. I just started sleeping?
Starting point is 00:06:23 You just started not sleeping. What, a year ago like yeah i mean i was up with gunner all right so most of you all who haven't slept in a year that's like oh my god all right so you haven't slept we have a five-year-old that comes in the room it's 12 times a night and goes is it morning yet oh he comes into my ear is it morning yet okay yeah i'm like i went through that phase. Jackson came in every single night. You guys, I'm not kidding. For probably five years.
Starting point is 00:06:47 Five years? This is never going to end. All of a sudden, it just stopped. It just stopped. One night, you're like, holy shit. He didn't come in last night. So what do you do? Well, actually, what happened was he started sleeping with Camden in the same room as Cam.
Starting point is 00:07:01 I think he has, Jackson has like major FOMO and like always has to be with people and be around people. And so he started sleeping with his older brother and he was happy. I said, put the baby in with Gunnar. But the thing is the baby sleeps and he doesn't. So Gunnar will wake up the baby. Yeah, he does. He wakes up the baby. We went on vacation. They slept in a room and he would be waking up the baby, you know, and I'm like this can't. I know it's hard. Okay. So you're not sleeping not sleeping okay but let's get back to where we met how you guys met okay let's be honest let's be i love the name so i asked you if you knew anyone to hook me up with right and this is when i'm dating brody yes we're dating yep and you're like no no i don't know anyone i got no one for it. Well, to be fair, Spencer wasn't like hook me up with somebody, you know, like he was
Starting point is 00:07:48 total party boy. I don't know that I saw Spencer in like this boyfriend light either. No, and he wasn't. We love you. Totally wasn't. He's still shocked. Everything is still. Where are we?
Starting point is 00:08:02 He's not sure where we are. He thinks I drugged him, I think. On a daily basis. He's like, you know, what's that story again? Yeah, what's your name? How did we meet? Somebody help. So, yeah. So, anyways, that makes sense.
Starting point is 00:08:14 And then we were in the club. And you're like, oh, I do have someone for you. Because you were there with Spencer. And you're like, there's Spencer. And so, I look over. And, yeah, Spencer. I was like five playmates around him. And I'm like, okay. around him and I'm like okay
Starting point is 00:08:26 I'll just I like a challenge I like a challenge I like a challenge but he was like super handsome and charming and of course everybody loved him because he was so sexy and funny and sweet it sounds like we have the same version it seems similar
Starting point is 00:08:41 maybe you tell yours just in case I think you nailed it. And then we went home to Malibu, all of us, right? We all went back to Brody's house.
Starting point is 00:08:50 We all went back to Brody's house. Okay, see, I don't remember that. I don't remember like after the initial meet. I don't know if you came back. Oh yeah,
Starting point is 00:08:56 maybe you didn't come back. She didn't. No wonder I don't remember it. I know. It wasn't there. She did not. No? Why would I not have come back?
Starting point is 00:09:02 Brody and I were together. I think, well, that's almost when we were done. You guys met like right at have come back? Brody and I were together. I think that's almost when we were done. You guys met like right at the tail end of Brody and I dating. So we were not in the best place. Right. Maybe I was like, bye.
Starting point is 00:09:12 You were on off totally. I'm going home. Yeah, maybe so. I don't remember. So anyways, we went back. And then we started dating on and off. And then Spencer said to me something like, I'm falling in love with something like that. That night?
Starting point is 00:09:27 No, like a few weeks later. I don't think I ever said that. And I said it to you. And I said it to you. You made that up. No, I did not. You said it. I feel like we're in couples therapy right now.
Starting point is 00:09:39 I think we got to work through some shit, guys. Oh, he's in love with me energy. You were. So that's what you were thinking. And you said that. I didn't say that. You said I'm falling in love. That's why when Kristen said.
Starting point is 00:09:48 This is where we disagree. I'm telling you. Should we move on to a new topic? That's why when Kristen said, oh, I hear you're in love with Heidi. I'm like, what are you talking about? And then, yeah. So I wouldn't have said, what are you talking about? I'd be like, oh my gosh, of course I'm in love.
Starting point is 00:10:01 So then Spencer wanted to do the Cabo. Remember when he had like girls around his waist and he would drop it and catch it with the other hand so i was like you know what i'm over this guy i'm done i'm not gonna hang out with him anymore i changed my phone number which was did you because of spencer yeah and i was like oh wow i told everyone do not not, anyone, yeah. Don't give him my number. Don't talk to me. She went to like a store.
Starting point is 00:10:31 That's a boss move. Bye. Yeah, I was like, I'm done. I don't even need to like talk to him. I'm just done. So then in the fall, he wanted to get on the show. I don't know what your version what happened
Starting point is 00:10:45 oh I like yeah what happened then he started talking to Sean Travis okay because you were filming The Hills right and this was season two but this was in between that you guys first met each other and were hanging out
Starting point is 00:10:57 right I think it happened more organically than that I think I was with Brody and Nicole Richie at Chateau Marmont and Sophia was best friends with Nicole and I think Nicole was like oh my gosh Adrena is looking for somewhere to like meet up and they were like tell her to come here so then you weren't getting along with Adrena and that was very clear to me in the few minutes of the conversation. I was like, I should show up with you on the show because Heidi changed her number.
Starting point is 00:11:29 And so that's why. Wait, that's how you came on to- And The Hills was with Audrina? But right then, Sophia was like- I did not know that. Sophia was like, hey, Spencer wants your number. And I was like,
Starting point is 00:11:40 don't give Spencer my number. I want nothing to do with Spencer. Sophia, the producer. Yeah. Okay, yeah. Also like a cast member that didn't film. So this Spencer my number. I want nothing to do with Spencer. Sophia, the producer. Yeah. Okay, yeah. Also like a cast member that didn't film. So this is my house. You guys, I never knew that.
Starting point is 00:11:50 I never knew that you can't, because to be honest, I never watched The Hills until I was on it. I was a movie star. No, I think because I was jealous actually, to be honest, because The Hills was blowing up and I was trying to take acting seriously.
Starting point is 00:12:03 And I was like, I don't want to be part of reality. I don't want to be in the tabloids. But like definitely a part of me obviously saw all the attention that you guys were getting. And of course, I was like, but I definitely had some major jealousy of all of the attention you guys were getting for sure. So I never watched it. So I never knew that you came on the show with Audrina.
Starting point is 00:12:22 So what the fuck did you think when you saw that? Well, I was, I don't know. you came on the show with Audrina. So what the fuck did you think when you saw that? Well, I was I don't know. At that moment, I was so mad. But I also we had like a few run ins right before there or around there. Like I was dating some people and some people that he kind of knew. And I was like, it wasn't even the point that I don't know. It was just like I was already not getting along with Audrina. And we just had, I was already not getting along with Adrena. And we just had heard that she was hanging out with Jason Waller all summer. And we were like, of course, Adrena just wants to go after everyone else's leftovers. Type of thing. You know, we're like, oh my gosh, she's so desperate.
Starting point is 00:12:57 So I wasn't sure what to do. But like a part of me was so excited to see Spencer because I loved Spencer. Like even from the minute I met him yeah I wanted to marry Spencer I was infatuated with him like there was nothing and nobody that ever gave me like those sparks and that feeling and I was just like oh I love him this is so annoying I was just talking about like that chemistry yeah you can't buy that like you can't find that everywhere when you have that is the most special thing on the planet yeah what are What are you going to say? It's true. I'm sitting on this couch. Priceless.
Starting point is 00:13:31 Okay, guys, a brand that I'm always so excited to talk to you about is Element. Starting point is 00:17:13 So when did you guys become serious? So then we like did a lot of games on and off camera. And I think it was just magnetic. And we were both like, all right, should we give this a try? And like get and like get on the same you said no first so what you asked her to like be well because she was always talking smack and like so i was like okay like do you want to be official she's like no no it's too bad i'm like okay and then like i don't know a day later a week later i just like about what you were saying and then she almost like rear-ended. That's my memory. She almost like hit a car
Starting point is 00:17:46 as she was like making this. That's my one memory of her. Almost fender-bender. Don't you guys love that? Because I feel like back in the day. It was on Fairfax. What? I remember it was on Fairfax.
Starting point is 00:17:58 Thank you for that. I'm just fully painting the picture for us. I appreciate that. Don't go there. So I feel like people back in the day would have put money on the fact that you guys would not still be together.
Starting point is 00:18:09 Right. So how good does that feel? And what would you say to those people? Take it away, Spence. What a great question. I mean, it's like one of my friends, King Kevinvin used to say to people when we were not people to his fiance when we she didn't want us at her wedding he said he said so you believe in santa claus and she's like huh she's like well if you believe what you see on reality tv then you must believe
Starting point is 00:18:38 in santa claus and quote always sticks with me that it's kind of you know nowadays that's more like duh but back then it was like this is real but the reality is anyone who really thought about it's like okay there's cameras there's microphones people are getting paid if you watch all the credits like story editor story for like this many names but it's real so obviously they lied to everybody and that's why they i think because they you know i don't not us but maybe someone was going to sue and then to get out of the lawsuit they did that alternate ending that showed like no this was fake with brody and i think that was to protect the fact that it's my conspiracy to make it so you could never sue and like because they were
Starting point is 00:19:21 like well we said yeah we said it was all fake it's my theory okay I like that theory I think you come up with good theories Spencer's currently listening to conspiracy I'm all for it
Starting point is 00:19:32 not a conspiracy JFK was it's not a conspiracy 100% we can do another podcast on conspiracy theories that's not a conspiracy but we might think
Starting point is 00:19:39 it came true true no it was very factual do you think the earth is flat too that I can't get into i don't know i'm seeing all these tiktoks really i'm like maybe the moon landing tiktok has definitely ruined the moon landing for me we definitely went down that dark path years ago how did they make
Starting point is 00:19:56 that phone call to the white house from the moon i know i'm like shit you're right and what happened to the camera crew after they left they got got them getting out of there, leaving the moon. But where are the camera guys? I was like, this is not the podcast for this. Yeah, back to what we were saying. What are we talking about? OK, so yeah, you guys being together after all of these years later. So doesn't that feel so good for all of those haters?
Starting point is 00:20:18 I think for me, it was just the biggest life payoff because I really gambled everything at that time. You know, like I was losing my best friend. I was, you know, jeopardizing probably not being on a TV show is jeopardizing my reputation. I mean, everything, you know, so it's like for me, when I felt in my heart that that was my soulmate and the right person. Well, I think it's safe to say you guys have been through your fair share of really negative press, especially in the height of the hills. So I would imagine that going through that together
Starting point is 00:20:48 probably brought you guys closer. Was it nice to be able to have one another to lean on during all of that? Yeah. And I think also we created a lot of it together. You know what I mean? Okay. Right. Right. So it wasn't just like all of a sudden we were swarmed. You know, it's like, okay, it's a little here, a little there. This is coming next week. So you just feel like you're almost in two different worlds. You know, you're behind the scenes making money and moves and strategies. And then definitely at a point, it was like, wow, this has gotten out of control. And how do we pivot out of this?
Starting point is 00:21:22 And now it's permanent. And, you know, every season two after the show, they be like oh next season's your redemption season this is your redemption oh that's what they would tell you guys right so we always thought that we would have a chance to like redeem the audience and to change it around and it just never played out and we didn't watch it enough either to really see what was happening because first of all we were busy and second of all we just didn't really care I mean we're just making so much money and we knew like the truth and obviously sometimes we disagree about storylines and things that would be happening but I gotta tell you though
Starting point is 00:21:55 the two seasons that I did everyone in my life was like Heidi and Spencer are the best part of the show they're the comedic relief like I mean it's like my mom even said that too. Oh my gosh. I was going to say you have great people around you. People that get it. Clearly. I love your mom. You guys, you were so funny. I remember the last, maybe it was the last season with the little kid neighbor or something that you guys
Starting point is 00:22:17 had. Enzo. Enzo! The show was hilarious. So anyways, I do think people... Anyone knows where Enzo is, I really want to do a TikTok with him. You should. Everyone. That would go viral. That's all people want to know.
Starting point is 00:22:30 Where is Enzo? He's got to be so old now. He has to be in like... Yeah. I think he went to Brazil. He wasn't born here. Enzo's not even here anymore. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:39 Okay. I want to get into y'all's marriage because we all know that a marriage, well, any relationship has ups and downs. So I'm curious in those down moments, how do you guys pull through and get through it? Oh, you're pointing me on the down. Here's the downer. How do you pull yourself out? Hey, cry baby. What's it like eating pie? No, Heidi is pretty positive. So that helps.
Starting point is 00:23:04 She is pretty positive. So that helps. She is. Yeah. I don't know how she does it, but I know when she tells me like, suck it up. Get your shit together. You have lots of great things going on for you. Okay.
Starting point is 00:23:16 So focusing on gratitude. Yeah. She's very like, we have our health, Spencer. Not you for long, apparently. You can breathe. Yeah. I mean, we have Not you for long, apparently. You can breathe. Yeah, I mean, we have air. That's so great. There have been times
Starting point is 00:23:29 in this world where there was a nuclear war and people can't go outside and if there's fires and things happening, it's like air. Nuclear war. We had nuclear war. There was threats of nuclear war. Silo, we stopped watching that. That's on Apple Plus. There were threats.
Starting point is 00:23:47 There's been threats. Yes, there was an atomic bomb. And the air quality has been very poor. Heidi's very... So she keeps it. She keeps it together for you guys. If it weren't for Heidi, it would be dark.
Starting point is 00:24:00 Thank God for Heidi. If there were two censors, it would be just a lot of whining. Well, one thing I do remember is when i did the hills reboot with you guys heidi you were talking about how you were keeping it spicy in the bedroom and it was like lingerie and correct me if i'm wrong i want to say that you said you guys were having sex at least every day she's trying to have a baby she's like she prayed me out she was a big con okay now so now that she has a baby, it's like, 16 years later, there's not like a one-year con. It was like a one-year like, whoa, times have changed.
Starting point is 00:24:31 But you liked that. You were into that. That was one of the best years of my life. Best years of my life. So are you still doing any of that stuff? How do you keep it spicy and exciting? Because you guys, after 16 years and two kids it's really hard well like spencer said i have a timer what does that mean i mean definitely we try i mean she gets a stopwatch
Starting point is 00:24:54 out she's like i don't i don't you have a really good mental clock i don't how long are you giving him well it just depends on how tired i am and what time. You're literally like, sponsor, I'm exhausted. Like, can we wrap this up? I'm like, I'll meet you downstairs. You can't come. I don't know why I can't come. We've come a long way. I'll meet you downstairs or not.
Starting point is 00:25:14 It's your choice. So you gotta do it during the day. Because at night, yeah, like when I was married and with little kids, I was like, no, I'm going to sleep right this second. It's so hard. You gotta find different times. But definitely, you know, throughout the week, it's like it's several times a week. You guys are still having sex several times a week.
Starting point is 00:25:30 Yeah. Well, my hat's off to you. Thank you. It's been 16 years. Oh my gosh. And you have a baby, no less. Heidi says not a baby anymore. He seems like.
Starting point is 00:25:41 How old is he? He's almost one. That's a fucking baby. She says we don't even have a baby. She said, well, that's a baby. That's a baby? He's almost one That's a fucking baby She says We don't even have a baby She said That's a baby That's a baby
Starting point is 00:25:48 He's a toddler now He's a toddler Emotionally It doesn't feel like He's this newborn Are you guys gonna have Any more kids? I feel like Spencer
Starting point is 00:25:55 You're done Why do you feel that way? I don't know When I first saw you You were like Two is really Put me over Actually I think you said it
Starting point is 00:26:02 When we started recording too Why are you looking at me With your answers? I think you said it when we started recording too. Why are you looking at me with that answer? I feel like Heidi, you would have a hundred picks. Yeah, that's why she's not rational about the situation. I'll just keep popping them. Three is really fun, guys. Just saying. I think if we lived somewhere else, I definitely would want three.
Starting point is 00:26:19 Yeah. And I would definitely be pushing like, hey, I want one more because obviously I'm going to want another one but realistically like financially and being in LA and wanting the boys to both have such good opportunities and being able to each have one of us so at this point I think two is such a blessing and to have two of them but you never know God's plan and at this point I would say yeah we're are you on birth control you know how much you are you know how much kindergarten costs in la yeah i can imagine i mean because we're in public yeah but it's 44 000 private school is that's imaginary that's
Starting point is 00:26:56 not what we're paying by the way it is a national too it's expensive i would have liked our sons to go to private school public school jobs i agree you should be a dentist the other day mom you should be a dentist to make more money for us oh my god because when are you getting a job i know it's like he's selling massages right now he just puts on a little stick and he just covers you in lotion. We love that. I do. I love that it's no touching because I got a little concerned.
Starting point is 00:27:28 He's like, oh, I'm doing massage and I was like, oh, I need, what is happening? I've got to look into this. Then he has a stick and he's like,
Starting point is 00:27:33 he's like hitting people. I was like, great, keep doing that. I like that. At least he's doing something. He's working. We like that. Working harder than me.
Starting point is 00:27:40 There you go. So I want to know what your favorite thing about each other is and then also the one to know what your favorite thing about each other is and then also the one thing that just irks you about each other favorite thing the list is so long spencer no i mean i have so many i'll go oh wow you sure have yours quick i love one of my favorite things about spencer is how he is. He's so funny. I love being with him. I was going to say that about you. You took
Starting point is 00:28:07 mine. Okay. That's a good one. Alright, you only do one. I'll think about that. That one's going to be hard. That one I gotta think about. He's so perfect. I just can't come up with anything. I would say my
Starting point is 00:28:23 favorite thing about Heidi besides how funny she is is how loving she is. I love that. It's very basic. No, that's important. She is way more like obviously that's what keeps this marriage so amazing because she's so caring and loving. And well, it's more like selfless. She's always concerned about every, not just me or everybody, friends, family.
Starting point is 00:28:50 It's a very like. That's, I love that. It is very true. You are very loving. You are. And what irks me about her. Yeah, wait to hear. Crank that out.
Starting point is 00:29:00 Maybe she done the first one. It's one of my favorite things to like troll at this point. Now, I don't do it. I can't wait to hear this. I don't do it on purpose. But it doesn't irk me because it… No, just spit it out. I am not allowed to have anything out anywhere.
Starting point is 00:29:15 Oh, okay. So she's very… She's a neat freak. No, I mean if I'm drinking the water, I haven't finished it, that glass is gone. That was years ago. I will tell you what irks me about you too. What do you mean that's years ago spencer leaves his socks everything he won't even put a paper towel in the trash oh i did yesterday and it had your retainers you throw away your retainers so
Starting point is 00:29:36 no that's a perfect example of why it was flat no it was it was over the way did you get the retainers back i've dealt with this a lot with my kids many retainers have been thrown away I'm just saying that's a perfect example of why I wouldn't throw paper towels away your own paper towels
Starting point is 00:29:49 so he'll have a good example he'll literally have 10 paper towels and he says I reuse them I'm like no you don't I just have to throw them away
Starting point is 00:29:56 so I have to walk around the house cleaning of trash everywhere I'm like I don't have time for this you now need to just throw your stuff
Starting point is 00:30:05 a freaking way. Or just put your own dish in the dishwasher. I just don't get it. What is why? It's empty. I've met very few men in my life who can actually just clean up after themselves. And I'm not being an asshole.
Starting point is 00:30:18 I'm not trying to generalize. I'm just calling a spade a spade, okay? It's justade. Okay. It's just. Yeah. And you don't need another. Right. But also, like, I had time for that back in the day and I would clean up. Okay.
Starting point is 00:30:32 How many cups do you have out? Here's your one. Keep it. We don't need the 10. And it's like, great. 10 seems excessive. Well, Spencer is a little like, you know, so anyways, we have the same irking thing. Wait until you have to try to train your kids to put their dishes in the dishwasher gunner does it what he'll do it he's like he or dad he'll
Starting point is 00:30:49 even teach my kids even say hey dad watch this i'm like great show him sailor this summer she for you know tour money she was doing all of the dishes which was so nice it was the first time that any of my kids have done a dish. And I was like, wow, this is this is nice. What's tour money for Taylor? I just got to ask. Sailor chore money. Chore. I was like, Taylor's tickets are a lot. But, you know, Sailor's going on tour. No, I thought to buy tickets. No, no, no. Yeah, no. Okay, I want to know, after this conversation especially, what a normal day looks like for you guys from the time you wake up. Just a normal day.
Starting point is 00:31:30 To the time you go to bed, who's doing what, what does it look like? Because honestly, I really feel like people think that you guys live these really big, loud, glamorous lives. I actually think you guys are very normal and live very just normal lives. So walk me through that. The normal day I usually wake up with Riker between break it down 530 to six. Okay. And actually before that, it starts at whatever time Gunner is waking up. One of us is taking him back to bed. Gunner's up before that. Gunner is up all night right now. Oh, right. Like, okay.
Starting point is 00:32:06 So then whenever I get some sleep in between there, Riker wakes up at four. Put his pacifier in. I'm not supposed to, but I need that like snooze. A hundred percent. So then he sleeps till like, yeah, between five, 5.30. I'm going in and out of his room from five until he wakes up six, whatever. Then I go upstairs and I give him a bottle
Starting point is 00:32:25 and then I play with him and he's so cute on the floor and everything. And then whenever Gunnar comes out, I start breakfast for him. I usually make pancakes or French toast and I give Riker his breakfast, which is like yogurt, whatever it is. I have my tea.
Starting point is 00:32:38 Then Spencer- Wait, where's the coffee? I thought you were drinking coffee. Whenever Spencer gets up, I get the coffee. Also, I have the tea first. I know, I'm like, I'll have the tea. I can make the tea. You're so nice to wait for him.
Starting point is 00:32:48 And then I, well, he is the barista. Oh, okay. I'll make it. I wait. Yeah, yeah. I wait to put my order in. A good barista is like, I miss that about my ex. Oh, he was a barista.
Starting point is 00:32:58 He was a good coffee maker. I've learned to do it on my own. I don't need no man. Yeah, yeah. I'm an independent woman. I make my own damn coffee. I can do it, but I I'll wait it's the one thing I get from you know served so actually he makes breakfast too he's really good at breakfast so he'll do that sometimes depending on the time it's about to be school we'll get Gunnar off to school and then I come
Starting point is 00:33:22 back if it's Monday Wednesday Friday I do a it's, well, now I'm doing workout Tuesday, Thursday. I put Riker down at nine. Takes a nap for like an hour, hour and a half. Then I'm up with him. Bottle, food, playtime. I want to take him for a hike, take him for a walk, take him outside, whatever it is.
Starting point is 00:33:37 Gunnar gets out of school. Where is Spencer during all this? What's he doing right now? I don't know. Where are you? We don't know. I was trying to figure out where I am. Spencer's lost. Where am I in right now? I don't know. Where are you? We don't know. I was trying to figure out where I am.
Starting point is 00:33:45 This one's just lost. We don't know. Where am I in this day? I don't know. You just gotta do your own thing. So I guess you're gonna do your own version of what your normal day is like.
Starting point is 00:33:53 I sound like I'm part of this. I just try to figure out where I am. You're there for coffee. I did the coffee. He's in and out. He keeps dipping in and out. I probably texted her
Starting point is 00:34:03 a couple of TikToks. Okay, great. He called me a few times. Keeps laughing with those TikToks. Right. He's in and out. I probably texted her a couple of TikToks. Okay, great. Called me a few times. Keeps you laughing with those TikToks. He's in and out. He made breakfast. I love this. He'll take Gunnar to school.
Starting point is 00:34:13 Okay, that's nice. Yeah, so now he does that. And then, you know, dinner. Oh, skip. You guys don't do anything in the afternoon. I love that. All right, and then dinner. Then we go to bed.
Starting point is 00:34:26 I want to live this life. Very basic. Actually, I don't miss those early wake-ups with babies. I do not. I know. Wait. Who's making dinner? Are you making dinner every night?
Starting point is 00:34:33 Spencer usually now makes dinner. Oh, wow. Yeah. Okay. So Spencer's the chef. Yeah. Chef Pratt. We've got Chef Pratt in the house.
Starting point is 00:34:39 We're either having ground meat or steak. I love that. Those are regulars in my house, too. Meat and rice. That's our specialty. I love that. Those are regulars in my house too. Meat and rice. That's our specialty. This is great. And do you guys have like a cocktail at night? Are you like sitting there like,
Starting point is 00:34:52 look at these children that we've met. With like a cocktail. Our lives are so beautiful. Not right now. Well, for the last four days. No, it's been almost three weeks for me. Do you guys live in the same house? Sometimes. I'm like, hi, I'm Heidi. I don't think you guys live in the same house? Sometimes.
Starting point is 00:35:06 I'm like, hi, I'm Heidi. I don't think you guys are on the same team. We're married. Colorado is two weeks ago. Okay, while you're looking for that, I want to ask you guys. This is three coming up. Is what? We're in three.
Starting point is 00:35:18 All right. Today's three. Of what? Being sober? Yeah. Right. Yeah. Do you have tea at night?
Starting point is 00:35:24 So we used to drink wine every night. You were drinking every night. With a baguette and cheese. Wow. Okay. Watching silo. And watching shows. Wow.
Starting point is 00:35:33 What time do the kids go to bed? And then trying to have some intimate sexual time. Trying to have sex. Yeah. Then trying to have sex. I applaud you guys. You guys, your life is pretty fucking awesome. I'm not going to lie.
Starting point is 00:35:43 And it is several times a week. So, you know, I mean, guys, if I told you the lack of sex that I've had in the last three and a half years, you would be like, I feel so bad. Definitely. So enjoy it while you have it. Running a busy household can be pure chaos and stressful. I'm over here balancing three kids schedules, basketball, horseback riding, you know, trying to make dinner every night. Starting point is 00:41:07 order. That's T-R-Y-A-R-M-R-A.com slash honest. Okay. Like I said earlier I do think you guys are some of the most down to earth normal people I really think it's a hot take normal maybe
Starting point is 00:41:33 you guys are like super normal people you guys are just like everybody else I don't know we are we are we're just like you
Starting point is 00:41:41 we're just like us in weekly no but I think because people always ask, anytime your names come up in conversation, people are like, oh my God, are they as crazy as they were on the show? And I'm like, no, they're not. They just understood the assignment,
Starting point is 00:41:56 which is something that all three of us, I think have always really related to each other on. We were there to film a TV show. If we're not bringing it, there's no TV show. And you have more fun when you bring it. A hundred percent. But with that comes a lot of misconceptions. So what is the biggest misconception about you guys that you think is out there?
Starting point is 00:42:12 I would say they're all pretty on brand. I don't know. You know, I don't. Really? I don't think anything's like, it seems all logical. Like, you know, based off our behavior. You think that your character on the show is very true to who you are no i think like the lunacy of it is right but that's what i mean i think the fact
Starting point is 00:42:32 that people thought we had such a tumultuous relationship is the biggest misconception like all the fighting it's like we could never have sustained a relationship being in that kind of relationship for sure and it's understandable because we did play it out and we played it up. And, you know, when you're like going through things, sometimes it starts feeling real and being real too. Like, you know, if I really saw Spencer flirting with someone, I'm going to really get upset because I'm like, okay. Even though that was the plan.
Starting point is 00:42:59 Even though if it's the plan. No, I know. It becomes real. I get it. Okay. Now I'm really. It sounds fun to do a plan. And then when you do it. And then you step back and you're like, oh, that's the plan. No, I know. But it becomes real. I get it. Okay, now I'm really, it sounds fun to do a plan. And then you do it. And then you step back and you're like, oh, that was the
Starting point is 00:43:09 plan. And you know, so it can get that way. And so then that does come across well, like when Spencer just sent me the TikTok of Gerard Butler saying when he was in 300, how he got so into the character, like you, you understand, you know, the acting becomes part of that. So that misunderstanding of us having such a fighting relationship, you know, because the truth is it was the exact opposite in real life. Like we go home and have a normal life
Starting point is 00:43:37 and watch movies and be in the music studio. And Spencer's always been my biggest cheerleader and advocate. And so I think that was the biggest and the hardest part is that Spencer's actually like one of the most selfless people and like such a teammate and, you know, such a he has no ego attached to it. He just wants like success and what's the best. He's so smart. He has a plan. And, you know, it's always so strategic. It's not like this crazy wild. It's like, no, Spencer is, you know, very meticulous and, you know, calculated.
Starting point is 00:44:07 So the that that's always frustrating that he kind of got the brunt of, you know, the negative portion of it when he was, you know, I would say the key success of that show continuing at that moment. Yeah. You know, it's not, I didn't make this up. It was on MSN, the media outlet, but there's a list of
Starting point is 00:44:32 who actually ended up being the villain of the Hills. MSN News. It wasn't me. I'm not going to say the person's name. Was it me? No. Oh, okay. But I, you know, I don't want to say that person's name. I got you. The narrator of the show actually was? No. Oh, okay, okay. But I, you know, I don't want to say that person's name. I got you. I'm picking up where you're
Starting point is 00:44:45 throwing down. The narrator of the show actually was the villain. Oh, wow. You check Google. On Yahoo, this just came out. This is this breaking news. Actually, my Wi-Fi's not working. I'll send you the link. I'm sorry, back screensaver. I'll show you right now. So that could be
Starting point is 00:45:00 a misconception. Okay. Really? Okay. But that's just the media, you know. I think today's world is very different than it was when the Hills was on, when Laguna Beach was on. I think some of the stuff that happened then, people see it in a very different light now. That's all I'm going to say about that subject. Yeah, I totally. But to your point, though, about, again, it goes back to if your guys' relationship on the show is perfect, there is no story.
Starting point is 00:45:27 And your point to him flirting. I remember when I came on, Brody and I had like a fake relationship and he and Jade pretended like they broke up and Brody and I were dating. They were together the entire time. I still to this day. And like, how was Jade OK with that? I wouldn't have been. I could have never done what you did where my real boyfriend is pretending to go and flirt with a girl or whatever. It would have driven me crazy.
Starting point is 00:45:48 There was a point where I was like, okay, we're getting married and I'm done with this. For sure. You know, I don't want to have these fake stories. I was like, I'd rather just not be on the show anymore than continue doing this at this point. Like, we've done it. We did that work it's the same thing over and over like spencer we said why didn't i flirt with a guy or whatever it's like the the continual spencer flirting with other girls and not being into heidi because heidi is a really good flirt so she could have knocked she could have knocked that scene like they were
Starting point is 00:46:23 filming the wrong flirt okay you could go back in time i keep saying this is spencer's pitch the other day so i'm just re no my bitch the other day if they wanted to hit show they would have filmed heidi not like they didn't film heidi like the heidi that was playing all her games with me and had you know heidi and i talked about a dinner two months ago we're like we should do a show but we it's like yeah we've got kids like we can't we know what it takes to have a good show we can't do it anymore it's hard because yeah when you're on it you want the success and you want it and you're being paid and that's the hard thing too when you're a professional person it's like not showing up to work exactly they're paying you to be a personality to do a certain job
Starting point is 00:47:03 and if you don't show up first of all you're not working again yeah and then it's like they're paying you to be a personality, to do a certain job. And if you don't show up, first of all, you're not working again. Exactly. And then it's like, what did you do? Yeah, they were also really good at negotiating back then because you'd be like, oh, I don't think we want to do that. I'd be like, that's fine. You won't be on that episode and you won't be paid.
Starting point is 00:47:16 And then you're like, hmm, that was good negotiating. Okay, we'll do it. We were in Costa Rica and they're like, if you want another season, you're going to have to make out with that guy. And I was like, fine, I'll take over the team. Sure, I'll do it. He was gay.
Starting point is 00:47:29 He didn't know until after I made out with him. That's neither here nor there. Okay, I want to play a quick game with you guys to wrap things up. Okay, the game is called Two Truths and One Lie. And what we're going to do is you guys are going to tell me three facts about yourselves as outrageous as you want them to be. But one is going to be a lie and I have to try to guess
Starting point is 00:47:47 which one is not true. Okay. All right. Heidi can make a move. Okay. Heidi's got this. Okay. We once spent our last money
Starting point is 00:47:59 on a one-way trip to Costa Rica with all of our dogs and our belongings, thinking we'd never return to America. Wow. Okay. Okay. I had my back shaved surgically.
Starting point is 00:48:14 Holy fuck. See, I knew you would have good ones. And this is why I told you to come up with them. I'm already like, I don't know. I'm like, I like sushi. I still, to this day, have one of the top three best-selling Us Weekly covers. I believe that.
Starting point is 00:48:40 Okay, I'm going to go with Costa Rica not being true. Oh, wait, we're supposed to be allowed. Oh, fuck. I said all three are true. All right, that's fine. We just I'm supposed to be allowed. Oh, fuck. I said all three. All right. That's fine. We just learned a lot about you guys. Yeah, good job.
Starting point is 00:48:51 We just learned a lot about you guys. Wait, holy shit. I forgot to lie. What Us Weekly cover was it? Why I Called Off My Wedding. It's not top three. It's number one. Oh, it's number one. Holy shit.
Starting point is 00:49:01 Look at you. Wait, let me think of one more. No, it's too fucking late now i know okay here's i want to get spencer i'm going to give you an assignment so my feet tonight okay or you could we could do it now you have two emf stickers on your laptop i do just in case you need one here. We're safe next to her. I even have like... You don't wear the necklace?
Starting point is 00:49:28 I don't wear the necklace, but I have like a portable thing in my bag. Like I love when someone recognizes an EMF. That is so funny. She's totally... Oh, you should see my house. Anyways, okay. Okay, because I set you guys up, right?
Starting point is 00:49:41 And it's been so successful. You're so welcome. I want to know who you guys would set me up with. And I just feel like, Spencer, you're going to have some good ideas for me. Oh, yeah. I feel like you need to return the favor. And if you need some time to think about it. Oh, like this episode or like, I mean, like, if you have people now, great. If not, we can come back. We can go back. I just wanted to plant that little seed. You're good with this stuff. That's really challenging.
Starting point is 00:50:09 Do you want someone normal? She called us normal. So her radar is all at home. Or a normal barometer. Do you want someone successful in their own way? Or do you want someone famous? So I have said, I would love. like successful in their own way or do you want someone famous like what's the that's hard because I have one friend
Starting point is 00:50:27 that's been asking me for 15 years let me see a picture no you've already like you won't remember but a couple times under the influence you flirted with him
Starting point is 00:50:37 and he that's no surprise and he remembers it to this day and asked me can I see a photo of this man he's rebranding right now
Starting point is 00:50:43 okay get back to me when the rebrand happens I knew you were man? He's rebranding right now. Okay, get back to me when the rebrand happens. I knew you were going to say that. He's rebranding. He's been asking me to set him up for 15 years. We need father material as well. In my perfect mind, I don't want to date someone who's famous, but I do need to date...
Starting point is 00:51:01 I want to date someone successful because I don't want to be paying for someone I just don't I've dated guys before who don't have a lot of money and they expect me to pay for everything and it's such a turnoff to me I'm very traditional in the sense where like I want the man to be the man I'm into like really masculine men but someone who's really in touch with their emotions. Okay, so he has to chop wood. The perfect man. I've seen him on TikTok. Me too. He live streams from the woods. Yeah, he can chop some wood,
Starting point is 00:51:31 fix some shit in a house. Are you okay to be a stepmom or do you want to just... Yeah, I mean, because I have kids, I do feel like someone who has kids, there's just a level
Starting point is 00:51:39 of understanding and I want someone to be good with my kids, obviously, too. Do they need to live in LA or near you or can they live anywhere I'm open I mean obviously like a board game are you making a human yes please create a brainstorming Nashville would be great but he
