The following podcast is a dear media production.
This is Let's Be Honest with Kristen Cavalry, a podcast all about getting real and open on everything
from sex, relationships, reality TV, wellness, family, and so much more.
And just a fair warning, there will probably be some oversharing.
Hello, hello, hello. I am coming at you from a very different background.
If you're watching the video, I'm.
I'm actually in Atlanta right now. I've been here for the last two weeks. I'm filming a movie. I'm so excited. I've
been having an absolute blast. So I can finally talk about it now. I'm doing a little rom-com.
It's for Roku, who we did the Laguna Beach reunion with. Fox actually just recently bought Roku. So it's
sort of, they're the same thing now, Fox and Roku. And it's a really sweet rom-com. And it's going to come out in the
spring and I have not been on a movie set in like probably 18 years or something like that. So
it's been so fun. I am playing a reality TV producer. And so in a lot of ways, this role almost
feels like it was made for me because there are so many similarities. So I play this reality
TV producer and I'm in Georgia and I'm filming like a bachelor type show. And it's a really sweet
rom-com. That's all I'm going to tell you. I was so excited when I read the script, when I got the
offer. My character name is Ari Harper. And there's also a lot of similars between my character
and I. She is all about work. She puts everything into her career and basically has no time for
love. I feel very similar in that regard for the last few years. And so I've been here and it's been a
blast and I really feel like I've been in a healing era, I would say, for the last few months,
because I feel like there were so many things from my early 20s that didn't sit well with me.
And what I mean by that is it's not like I was staying up at night thinking about certain
things that happened to me in my early 20s.
But there were like these little moments that I maybe wasn't proud of or like I, I
knew I didn't give 110%. And what I mean by that is I used to act, right? Like after Laguna Beach,
I did act. I mean, this is my sixth movie that I've done. I did movies back in the day. I did
little guest spots on TV shows. And so I definitely, that was what I did in between Laguna Beach and
the Hills. And every time I was acting, I was so in my head and I was so insecure about it that I
could never just settle into scene. Like I was always in my head about my lines. You know,
like what's my next line? I was never listening in scene. I was, I was just super insecure and like,
I needed validation to be like, did I do okay? And so this time going into it now, I feel I'm just in
such a different headspace. I mean, I'm an entirely different person today at age 39 than I was,
of course, in my early 20s. I mean, I would hope and imagine that most people are, but it feels
really good to be able to go back onto a movie set and be confident and know my lines and drop into
the scene, to be present, to listen to my scene partner, to react, to just walk away feeling good
about the work that I've done. And I found out about this movie, when did I find out about this
movie, May or June, somewhere in there. And so I had the summer to really learn this script,
like the back of my hand because the last thing I wanted was to get onto the movie set and be hung up
about my lines. I knew if I knew my lines, man, like knew this script so well that then I could let it
go and then I could play and have fun. And that's the whole point of acting, I think, is to play and have
fun. And so I was really happy that I had that time to prep and shout out my little baby girl
sailor because she ran lines with me over and over and over the summer.
And I mean, honestly, without her, I don't know what I would have done because that was just it, right?
Like the memorization of it, I had to be running it with somebody.
My boys wanted no part of it.
I would ask them, I'd be like, do you want to run lines with me?
They'd be like, no.
And Sailor always was up for it.
And I just, I really am so thankful for her.
And my kids were actually just here, too.
They're in school.
So it does kind of suck that I have to be away from them for two weeks.
But this movie is being shot in 14 days, which you guys.
the fact that you can shoot a movie in 14 days is an absolute freaking dream come true for me.
As a mom, of course, you know, I can't, I can't be away from my kids longer than that.
And I, they came, they were just here last weekend.
They came, like, right in the middle of it, which was really fun.
And they got to come to set.
And I just also thought that would be cool for my kids to be able to experience a movie set.
Like, I don't know if I'm going to do any more acting beyond this.
I mean, I do know I'm really having a good time and I really love being on a set.
And so we'll see.
I think the reason that I haven't really done any acting stuff in the last 18 years.
I mean, I did an episode of 911 Nashville last year, but that filmed in Nashville.
And it was two days.
Like, so that's easy.
Most things, you know, you have to travel for it.
And I think that's why I just haven't done anything is because it would have taken me out of Nashville and taking me away from my family for too long.
So it was like the stars all aligned for this role.
And it could be shot in 14 days.
It's close.
I drove to Atlanta. It's three and a half hours from where I am. And my kids could come. And I loved
the movie. Like it's all, it's just like it all was so perfect. And I again, my boy, I don't know,
my boys are funny. They're at those ages. Like, they could have cared less about being on set.
But they also like, the entertainment world, like cameras and all of this stuff has just been a
part of their life. And so they don't care. It's like they see this stuff all the time. But I do think
Sailor was actually really excited to be on set and she wanted to be like right there in an
shot when we were shooting. And I think too probably because she knows the script like the back of
her hand too. So I think that she thought it was fun. And so that was really cool to have them on set.
And for Sailor to be like into it, you know, so it's been fun. So anyways, as that gets closer,
I will of course keep you guys updated on that. Oh, but the other thing too is like with the healing
era thing that I was talking about. I feel like, okay, so what sort of
of jump started that for me was, of course, the Laguna Beach reunion. I mean, that, like,
I probably don't even have to say anything to you guys about how you can imagine that was so
healing on so many different levels, but to be able to come together over 20 years later. And,
you know, I think, obviously, especially for Lauren and I, right, to, like, really come together as
adults, have fun together, get to know each other and, like, genuinely be, like, excited and happy
to be around each other and to like really officially one bigillion percent put all of that behind
us was so nice. Like so incredible. And then I had Miami Swim Week and I modeled in a fashion show,
well, the Uncommon James show that we did with Risa. And that was really healing for me because
I walked in a show in probably 2011 and also in Miami Swim Week. I think I did like something
for sky vodka. It was like a sky vodka show and I had this like blue like it looked like an ice
kind of like the sky vodka like ice bathing suit. I don't know. I was looking back. I'm like what was
that? But it was great. It was fun. And I have never been so nervous for anything in my life than that
fashion show in 2011. And someone that I loved looked absolutely fucking miserable being in the
audience and that was a really shitty feeling and I had so many people being like why just saying
things right and I was also like what the fuck how could my person be so unsupportive of this
when I am like shitting fucking bricks because I'm so nervous it was my first time walking in a show
in a bathing suit I was what 24 or something like and it was just like it just like shattered my
whole world. And so then to be able to go back to Miami, model in Miami swim week again,
feeling really good in my body and like just feeling really good, having that show be such a
success was like, again, just amazing. There's like just been these moments here in the last few months
that I feel like I'm getting to redo these things that like I had an insecurity about or like an
anxiety about and it feels really nice to just like have a different taste in my mouth about some
of these bigger moments in my life. And so with the movie too, it's like, wow, I, we only
have a couple more days of shooting. So we're getting towards the end. But I'm walking away from
this experience. Just like, I'm on cloud nine right now. I've had, I've had the best time. And,
And, you know, also I think, too, like, it's really about who you work with. And I've always actually had a really good experience in the acting world with who I've worked with. But, you know, director, producer, like, co-stars, obviously. Like, I really am loving everybody that I'm working with on this. And everyone is making me feel really good and really comfortable. And, you know, I came into this being like, you know, I haven't done this in a really long time, like 18 years. And I was kind of nervous.
you know, I mean, and obviously, like, you know, we'll see how the movie, how I look in the movie,
how my performances, but without seeing anything, I feel really good about it. Like, for me,
the biggest thing was to do the work, do the prep work so that I could show up on set,
feeling so prepared, and just to play and have fun. Because at the end of the day, I mean,
that's what acting, I think, is about is having fun. Like, this is fun. And I'm really grateful
for the opportunity. And, you know, it's just, for me, I think it's really cool to see how,
and I've talked about this, but how everything in life is building blocks. You know, I mean,
I got this because of the relationships I built on the Laguna Beach reunion, you know, specifically
this one producer, Brian, shout out Brian. You know, he, he offered this to me. And I, and I know that,
you know, it's a big deal. So I wanted to take it seriously and I wanted to show him that, you know,
I'm going to show up and I'm going to do my job and, and, and do the prep. And anyways, with all
that to say, I am just, I'm, I'm just feeling like so good. Like my heart is feeling really good,
just overall. And it's been a combination of things in the last few months. And that's a nice place
to be. And, you know, someone, well, as I always do, I asked my followers on Instagram what they
wanted to talk about. And someone was like, oh, no, no, it was from the Architectural Digest. So I just
did my house on Architectural Digest. Oh, so I just did my house on Architectural Digest.
digest, which also huge honor. That was like, dream come true. I mean, I'm, dream come true. It's,
it's just such an honor. I don't even know what else to say. So that was awesome. That just recently
came out if you guys missed it. And someone said, I, DM to me, I think, and was like, you know,
I want to know how you, how to have such a perfect life like you. And it, it made me stop because I was like,
wow, I totally get that from the outside world, maybe it looks like I have a perfect life.
And as open as I am, I don't share really some of my biggest struggles or things that I have
struggled with in the past if it involves other people. Because I also, even though I've been a
public figure for over 20 years, I'm careful of what I say when it involves people other than
me only because I don't necessarily want to expose is not the right word, but I don't want to put
other people on blast and I realize I signed up for this life and maybe, you know, certain family
members haven't or, and I say that. And also, I have said a lot about my dad. I haven't said
everything about my dad. And actually, I don't think I have said like what ultimately led to me
cutting him out of my life. And I'm, I'm holding that close to my chest because I don't need to
do that to him. Like, we both know what happened. I don't need to put him on blast publicly. I mean,
I think I can still share my story and without having to say details.
And, but the whole point of me saying this is, the things that have affected me the most in
my life, for the most part, I have not talked about.
And I think I'm naturally a very bubbly, happy, kind of, I try to focus on the positives.
Like, I, that's sort of, that's sort of always been my.
natural state, even when it felt like my life was falling apart. And my life was pretty hard,
starting in my childhood. And, you know, obviously throughout my 20s, my life, and by the way,
I still deal with shit. But I think the difference today is, yeah, I don't have a daily struggle
the way that I used to. And that's taken a lot of work and effort on my.
end. I mean, of course, there are stressors in my life, right? And there are things that I think about,
but I try really, really hard to not feed into negativity to always remind myself just how powerful
our minds are because it really are. Just try it in your everyday life. If you're worrying about
something and constantly giving something energy, it's just going to make it bigger and bigger and bigger.
Like I really have, I've had so much trial and error with this of like, if you don't like something,
give it absolutely no, absolutely no attention, absolutely no energy, absolutely no time.
And this stuff will kind of fall away.
And in the same breath then, the things that you love, that's why gratitude is so important,
it just expands.
So the more you're like, I'm so thankful that I have a quiet morning.
I'm so thankful that I never have to worry about what I'm going to feed my kids.
I'm so thankful that I'm able to travel and go.
on these incredible trips. Like, I live in that state. And I went for a walk today. Today I have off.
I went for a walk around this really cute neighborhood that I'm staying in. And in my head,
I was like, this is a gratitude walk. I want to start doing this more because I was just walking around.
I was listening to music. And I was just thinking how grateful I am to be here and be doing a movie.
And I was just thinking about all the things in my life that I'm grateful for. And I say that because
my life hasn't always been that. I have had a lot.
of struggles. I've been really unhappy in my life. In my early 20s, I used to come home from being
out and journal. Journaling honestly has saved my life. But I used to come home and journal and be like,
I'm so fucking sad. I'm so sad. Like, why am I always so sad? Like, what's wrong? It was like kind of
before I started like, well, I guess like really going to therapy and like really digging in and
figuring out my shit. I used to be just like sad. And I was attracting all the wrong guys. And
And that's my fault. I never am the victim. I'm never blaming anybody. It was the energy that I was
putting out is why I was attracting all of the wrong guys. And I just went through a lot of shit,
again, that I'm not going to talk about because it involves other people. But I think also in our
lives, the whole point is to go through hard shit to get to the other side. That's the point. That's how we
learn. That's how we grow. I would, this is what I was thinking about on my walk today. I would,
go back and go through everything that I've gone through again, knowing that I am where I am today.
If it meant getting to where I am today, getting to the other side, I would do it all again.
And I do. I'm really thankful because I do feel like I've gotten to the other side.
And again, that's not to say that I don't deal with shit and stuff doesn't come up.
But I feel really grateful that I do feel like in this lifetime, I've paid my motherfucking
dues.
I've paid my dues.
and I feel like I'm on the other side now.
And that feels just, I mean, absolutely incredible.
Let's talk about Virel.

So this is where VEVrel has been.
game changer. And the closet is insane. They have Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Dior, all the brands that I know.
And so the way it works is once you're accepted into the club, you just pick the piece that you want

But my point with that is just because it looks like someone has a quote unquote perfect life,
there's no such thing.
Everyone has a different journey in this lifetime and is dealing with something.
Everyone is dealing with something.
It looks different for everybody.
But I don't know one person who's never dealt with something.
right? Like, yeah, do some people have, you know, quote unquote, harder lives than people? Sure. But also,
if you're spiritual like me, you don't know their past life. Maybe this life. This is something that I have.
Did I read this? I can't remember where I heard this, but this really resonates with me is. Oh, no,
oh my God, it's Dolores Cannon who said this. She is a hypnotherapist. And she said with, if you don't know who she is,
she's pretty cool. She's worth looking up. But she's done, you know, however many hypnotherapy sessions.
And something that she had gathered from all of her sessions was that, you know, it's if you
believe in reincarnation, that certain lives are harder. And we set ourselves up for that so that we can
learn more and grow more and just gather more information. And she said, you know, maybe this person's
past life was really rough. So in this lifetime, they wanted, they wanted an easier life. Like,
it's almost like they're like, this is a break. This lifetime is a little bit of a break for
them where like for me I feel like the whole first half of my life was just fucking lesson after
lesson after lesson. And I feel like I passed, you know, I do. And I feel like this is not an easy
lifetime for me. But now I am sort of in this phase of like, I don't know. Like did I pass what I
needed to pass in this lifetime? And really like the biggest thing for me, I think in this lifetime
has been standing up to certain men, not letting men walk all over me, setting boundaries,
knowing that I don't need anybody else in this lifetime. That's been huge for me. Hence why I've
been single for six and a half years. A huge lesson has been that I don't need anyone but myself.
And I've passed. So, Universe, if you could send me that man, that would be nice. No, but that's the
whole point, right? Anyways, so my point with that is you never know what someone else is going through.
you just never, never do.
Okay, one thing I do want to talk about, though,
and it kind of goes with the movie I'm doing
because obviously, so I'm basically doing a movie
about a dating show.
Well, I am, not basically.
I am doing a movie about a dating show.
And I'm playing a TV producer, like I said.
So when I asked you guys what you wanted to talk about,
the amount of DMs or whatever you call them
on the question box on Instagram,
the amount of comments from people about Harry Jousey's
dating show. Let's marry Harry. It was wild. And I love it. I mean, I love it because I love Harry so much.
So many people. What did you think of his dating show? Have you talked to Harry since his dating show?
All the things, right? Okay. So I have watched three episodes. And I hope I'm not jumping the gun
by even talking about it without having finished it. And I know they have already done the reunion.
And I have talked to Harry. I fucking love. I absolutely adore Harry. And I know I think he's getting
some shit right now online, but I stand by the fact that people are very different in person than
their image. And a lot of times, guys, it's the opposite. A lot of times it's the opposite. The people
that you think are so nice and such great people are assholes. And it's the people who you think
are going to be a dick or cocky or whatever that are the most genuine, just authentic, just
sincere, good people with big hearts. So Harry is one of those people. I was to take a lot of
stand by that until the day I die. But it's been fun for me to watch a couple episodes of a dating
show while I'm doing a scripted movie about a dating show. Dating shows are wild though, right?
And people ask me a lot if I would ever do one. And it's funny because for about five seconds,
I was like, should I? But no, I could never. I could never. And I only say that because I think
the type of person that a dating show attracts is the absolute wrong person that I would want.
or that probably most people doing a dating show would want, right? Like to me, and again,
I know I'm generalizing. To me, it's like fame horrors. That's not really a technical term,
you know, but like that's what, that's what it is. And watching Harry's show, I feel like I can
kind of spot those girls a mile away. Maybe it's because I think I have a really good judge of
character, but also just coming from the reality world. And I just, you know, I think there's
like just little things you can kind of spot out. But they ask,
me to host the reunion and I couldn't do it because I was here in Atlanta filming the
filming this movie but that was one thing that I was so sad about. I would have loved to be there
for Harry and and I just think it would have been so much fun to host that. So that was that was a
bummer. But so I have I have talked to him and if you guys have not seen this, I actually think.
So here's what it's and I also haven't watched a lot of dating shows so I actually don't
have a lot to compare it to. However, I really liked the concept.
with his show because he had his three best friends there who also got to weigh in on who they
thought would be good for him. And I just think that's kind of a genius concept. And at first,
the girls didn't know that these three friends were watching them. And then, you know,
they get to kind of like be a little spies for Harry, which I think is really important.
And of course, I was just sitting there like, God, Justin and I would have so much fun and just
absolutely kill this. But like, oh, imagine the guys. Like, what guy is like, I want to go on a dating
show. Like, no, sorry. That is definitely not the type of man I want. I want a man who doesn't even have
Instagram who's like, just doesn't care at all about any of that stuff. Ooh, a guy that wants to go on
a dating show. Like, I get it for girls, right? But like, gross. Anyways, anyways, okay, again,
don't judge me on what I'm about to say because I've only seen three episodes. But Amber on
let's marry Harry. I cannot fucking stand. This girl to me seems so calculated and like she's trying
so hard to like be the girl that's like, oh, you know, I don't like playing hard to get and like trying
to be like so cool. Also a little tidbit for you. Apparently Amber cheated on her last husband with
his best friend. That's the, that's the T. Okay. So I'm really happy because I knew I didn't like her
from the jump. And then the girl that Harry gives the little ring to, I actually fucking love.
I like really, like really like them together. And I know that they don't end up together.
And I was actually texting him being like, what happened? Like, I really liked her.
But Harry, I thought, looked. So I like the show because I think it really does show Harry. Like,
he is charming and he is sweet. And he like, I just, I love that he was like asking the girls' questions and like really getting to know them.
He was being vulnerable.
Like he's opening up because the Harry that I've seen.
And by the way, if you guys don't know, Harry Joussey, so he came on the podcast.
He's also been, he came on my podcast tour.
What I loved so much about him was when the first time I ever met him was on the podcast.
And on the podcast, I mean, the range of emotions that we hit.
I mean, we went from like, you know, girls' buttholes to like his dad dying and tears.
And I mean, it's all over the map.
And I love that.
Like, I love someone who can do the whole gamut, you know,
who you can talk about everything with.
And I just thought he was so, or he is, not thought.
He is so genuine and he's authentic.
And that's why I love him.
And that came across on the show.
And so I really loved to see that.
So anyways, I just thought that was, I just, I don't know.
I think he's getting a lot of shit because he was making out with everybody.
But, like, by the way, you guys, you're on a dating show.
What did you think was going to happen?
And also, I'm sorry, but you want,
thousand percent have to have a kiss with someone to see if the chemistry is real. Like,
I think you can have chemistry-ish with someone, but you don't like fully, fully know until you
have that first kiss. Imagine, like, you like someone and the kiss is horrible. You're like,
well, I can't do this. That happened to me one time. I went out with an actor, actually, and he's so
cute. And he was like, so fun and he's so great. And it was such a bad kiss that I was like,
I never want to see. I never want to talk to this man ever again. So I just think if you're going
on a dating show, of course he's going to be kissing people. Like, this is what's happening. And I love
the girls, how jealous they get. And I love that they're like actually referring to him as their
boyfriend. I'm like, bitch, you've met him four days ago. Like, what are you talking about?
I just like, oh, bless these girls who go on these dating shows. Okay. So you guys do love all the like
celebrity gossip stuff with me. I get a lot of that too. And actually next week we'll do a whole
episode about parenting. The questions that you guys submitted this time, I was really happy to see.
It wasn't about dating as much, probably because you guys know that it's not even a part of my life
anymore. But it was like split between celebrity, like Harry Jousie, celebrity gossip stuff and
parenting stuff. So next week, I'm separating up. Next week we'll do parenting. So, but you guys had
a lot of like pop culture rapid fire kind of stuff. And so I was just going to do those and
and then we'll call it a day. Okay. So someone, someone,
said one current pop culture obsession you genuinely do not understand. I actually fully understand
this, but it's the Clancy murder trial. And I don't usually pay attention to this stuff
because I find, well, A, it's extremely low vibration. Anything on the news is very low
vibration, so I really never pay attention to anything on the news. But especially like a murder
trial and when it's involved kids and it affects me. And I know that about me, right? So I
like purposely try to just tune all that stuff out. But for some reason, I got obsessed with
this murder trial. And it was right actually kind of when I came to Atlanta. So then I was by myself.
I'm in this Airbnb, this like neighborhood.
And I was scared at night.
By the way, I'm never scared ever, ever, ever.
And because I was paying attention to this murder trial,
it was like all I could think about.
I'm like, just, and I was freaked out in this house.
And I was freaking myself out.
It was changing my energy.
And so I was like, I can't pay attention to this anymore
because I'm about to start shooting this movie.
I can't be in this headspace.
And so I made a point to,
I'm not watching those videos on TikTok. I'm not asking Justin. Justin's obsessed with this stuff.
I'm like, I'm not asking him for any more updates because I'd be like, tell me, tell me everything that happened today in court.
He thinks he's a juror on all of these trials. I love him. But I was like, I can't do this. It's affecting my life.
And so I completely stopped and my energy completely changed. I'm no longer scared at night. Like, it's a complete difference.
And it's just, it's so interesting for me because I'm like, what would happen if everyone just stopped watching the
news because everything on the news is fear-based and that's intentional. And they want everyone living
in fear. They want everyone with this anxiety and this stress and like being worried and
thinking someone's going to come kill them every day. Like what? Oh my gosh, it's fucking crazy. So
I don't know. I guess I was just, again, it just goes back to that thing of you are what you're
absorbing, you know, on your phone, in your conversations, on the news. Like all of these things
play a role in your life. And I just thought firsthand. And I was like, and I'm also not happy with
the verdict on that. And we're not even going to get into it. Okay. But I am sorry, I have very
strong opinions on it. And again, I did sort of check out at the end. So I don't know like what the
last week or whatever of the trial. I don't know really what happened. But I do know how I feel
about it. And I'm not happy. Okay. Someone said the most embarrassing, what's my most embarrassing
celebrity crush. I don't have any embarrassing ones, I don't think. I don't really have
celebrity crushes. However, the two men that I do love are Josh Brolin and Kyle Chandler. And yeah,
those two. But, you know, again, and also, I don't know, I think Kyle Chandler probably like years
ago, like more like Friday Night Lights vibes. Yeah, those are two met. You wonder why? Because
they're manly. They're like, they're real men. I like men. I like men.
I like men. Where are all the men?
All right, let's talk about clean, safe products.
Now, if you have kids and or dogs, you're definitely going to want to listen up because, let's be the honest.
They ruin everything. They ruin the furniture. There's always something spilled.
There's always something smeared. They're always rubbing crap into the couch, the rug.
You name it. And my dogs are actually more of a problem, if I'm really being honest.

All right, I want to talk to you guys about Ladder.
Maybe you don't know what to do at the gym,
or you're just tired of doing random workouts that you saw online
and you're not getting any results.
Well, Ladder gives you a real plan from an expert coach.
Ladder is an expert strength training plan, not a content library.
You get a new plan every week that builds on the last,
so the workouts connect.
Each week progresses from the one before through structured training blocks.
you actually start to see gains. It feels like you have a coach right there with you. And it's great
because your progress is tracked automatically. The app remembers your weights, your reps,
and your sets. So you can actually see yourself getting stronger over time. And it costs
less than a dollar a day. That's elite level personal training for a fraction of what you pay in person.
I especially love this when I'm traveling and I'm on the road because I can put this on. I don't have
to think about it. I don't have to plan a workout ahead. And it just changes it up for me,
which I also really love.
So remove the guesswork with Ladder
and get a real coach in your ear
telling you exactly what to do
for every workout.

Okay, a celebrity breakup that shocked me.
Okay, jelly roll and bunny.
And I love, I love Bunny so much. And she actually reached out to me before it came out. And she was just chatting with me. And when she told me on the phone that they were getting a divorce, my jaw was actually on the floor. I was shocked. Shocked. And now, look at her, man. She is thriving. She looks so good.
good. She's having fun. She's getting her sparkle back. And that makes me really happy for her.
Her soul, her heart is so pure and so beautiful. She is the ultimate girl's girl.
And you know, you got to stand by those ones. But she did. She reached out to me. You know, it's
interesting. I do have a lot. Why are all of a sudden, by the way, are so many people getting a divorce?
don't know what the fuck's going on. I don't know, you know, the moon and the planets and the
stars. But I've had so many people in my life getting a divorce in the last like six to eight
months. And a lot of people have reached out to me. I think because obviously I'm divorced,
people want advice and they want to know what to do. And it's a really hard situation. And so you do
want to talk to somebody who's been through it. I don't think I had anyone to reach out to
when I got a divorce other than my mom. You know, I didn't know anyone who had been divorced.
and so I've actually really enjoyed being there for people and giving some people advice,
which I think I talked about that on another episode.
If you want divorce advice, I did a whole episode about it.
So you can go listen to that.
But okay, anyhow.
Okay.
Oh, this is funny because we were actually just talking about it.
What celebrity do you think is nothing like their public persona?
There's a lot.
There's a lot.
But that's just it, right?
I'm not going to give you any names on that.
But what I will say is, it's the opposite.
It's always the opposite.
Well, I was actually just going to say something.
And I was like, I don't know for sure.
It's just rumors.
I, well, fuck it.
What fuck do I care?
I have heard.
And again, this is hearsay.
So don't quote me on this one.
Okay.
Don't quote me on this one.
I have heard the is horrid.
Like an absolutely horrible person.
And she's, you know, known as America's sweetheart.
I don't know if that's true. Okay. That's just what I've heard. I mean, I have other ones that I have seen
firsthand. But I'll tell you, like, Harry and Austin Kroll, who I talked about a couple weeks ago,
are good examples of this of they get kind of a bad rep. And two of the sweetest guys I know.
And of course, it's a little different when I'm not trying to date them. I realize it's a different
interaction. But I think you also just like with the dating stuff, it's really hard to just base
your opinion about someone when it comes to dating.
Because I think, I don't know, dating's a tricky thing.
It's like, unless you're exclusive and you're in a relationship or you've had a
conversation of like neither one of us is dating other people.
Well, I don't know.
Is he really an asshole?
And I'm not talking about Harry or Austin specifically with this.
I'm just saying in general, like, women love to be like, he's such a fucking asshole.
And it's like, but hang on a second.
is he an asshole just because he doesn't like you? And so you're making, I just feel like women and men do this too.
Men 1,000% do this. But like when someone doesn't get what they want from someone, people love to be like,
they're an asshole, they're this or that. And it's like, hang on a second. Are they actually an asshole?
Are you just making this all about you? I don't know. I just think that's why you have to be so careful listening to people's opinions about people.
because everyone makes everything about them.
That's why, I don't know.
I really, if someone's telling me a story about someone,
I don't judge that person on it because I'm like,
well, who knows?
There's always two sides to every story.
Okay, I feel like I'm rambling so much right now.
I haven't actually taped a podcast in week,
so I'm like, this is all new for me.
Okay, what celebrity would you want to switch lives with for 24 hours?
You would have thought that I actually, like,
would have thought of answers before I started taping, but I have not.
But okay, I'm going to read you the next one because these are actually going to go together.
What's a celebrity conspiracy theory you think is true? Okay, so these are going to go hand in hand.
I think the Illuminati is real. I've talked about it before. You guys know how I feel on this thing.
I think it's real, but I want to know for sure. So I would switch bodies with someone who I think is in the Illuminati to find out.
Who do I think is in the Illuminati, you ask? Well, I don't obviously.
really know. But I think like, you know, listen, I think, well, no, okay, I'm not going to give
names. Here's why I'm not going to give names because that's going to turn into a fucking headline. And I'm
not doing that. But I think we could all probably piece it together, right? It's like the people who are
really powerful in Hollywood, I think are part of the Illuminati. And I just, so maybe it wouldn't even
be a celebrity. Well, oh, God, okay, this is so tough. I would switch bodies with anybody who could
confirm for me if the Illuminati is real and if it is what the fuck's going on. I want to know
about all the Epstein shit. I want to know like I just want to know about all of these powerful
families. The families that run the world, right? I would want to know, I would want to know
if the government, like what secrets the government is keeping from us? Because I feel like the
government. Like I think, I just think like they have the answers to life. Right. Like I think they know
how powerful our minds are and that's why they want to like keep us really low, keep us dumb. That's why
the news is all fear-based. That's why they put fluoride in our water. I mean, don't get me started on a
fucking conspiracy theory, you guys, because I believe them all. I believe, I do. I believe them all.
And so I just want to note, like, I want confirmation on all of this stuff. I hope that answers it.
Okay. And then last one, which celebrity interviewer podcast appearance
changed your opinion on someone. Oh, wow. There is one podcast. There's one, only one, okay,
this is true. There's only one podcast in the four years or whatever that I've been potting that I have
been like, what the actual fuck is going on? Just like, dear in a headlights, like, this is actually
happening. Oh, this is like what's really, okay, got it. Like, just can't believe people behave like
this in the real world, okay? And then there was one interaction. There's, there's only two celebrity
interactions I've ever had that like really stand out in my mind of being like, this is bat-shit
crazy behavior. So one podcast and then one female who when I, oh God, I don't know, I was in my
early, or was I married? I may have been, this may have been mid-20s to late 20s.
And we were going to an event together or something. I don't remember how, I don't remember. We were
the big group of people, we were at someone's house beforehand, and she took selfies for,
I'm not kidding, 45 minutes straight. She, I'm not kidding. I'm not exaggerate. Like, I hope you guys,
I don't exaggerate. I don't lie about dumb shit. Like, I don't care enough to lie. Forty-five minutes.
She was taking selfies here for, for how, okay, and then those weren't working. So she went into
another room. She went to the bedroom. Just taking more. For 45 minutes. And I'm sitting there going,
I mean, bitch, if you haven't gone it by now, you're not.
going to get it. Let it go. But like to me, that's like, that's crazy behavior. I fully understand
you want to get your picture. I fully understand taking a selfie. I fully understand. We live in
this digital world. But spending 45 minutes on one selfie is unhinged. Okay, I'm sorry, but it is.
And you know what's so interesting, both of these women that stand out in my mind, they're women,
but they're beautiful. That's the part that's like crazy to me is beautiful.
women. Also women who are known for their looks. So I don't know. Maybe when you're kind of only known for
your looks, it's you get in your head more. But also it's like, you're, you guys are the last people
that need to be worried about this. Like what? That's crazy to me. Which we could then talk about
body image and this fucking ozempic world that we're living in now and raising a daughter is so
fucking hard in today's day and age with this body image shit. And,
And it's the BBLs, I guess, are back in fashion being super skinny.
And then actually, I don't even think it's a BBL anymore, you guys.
These girls are getting, I think it's injections in their butt.
Someone was telling me this.
Someone who's done it.
So it's kind of a good source.
There's injections that you can get in your ass now.
That's why like all these girls have these huge butts overnight.
And you're like, well, they didn't, because I think a BBL is like kind of an intense recovery.
And that's why, but whatever.
The point is, it's so hard with this body image shit now. And I'm hyper aware of it because I have a daughter. I feel like for me, I'm sort of like, of course I care. Listen, I'm not, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm vain. I care about my appearance. And also my appearance is part of my job. So I put effort into it and I take care of myself. But for me, it's more about feeling really good in my body, being healthy. Like, I want to be good to my body.
I want to be kind to my body. I don't want to do anything that's going to, like, hurt my body long term.
That's why, like, anything natural I'm game for, but everything else kind of scares me. And, but with that being said, I feel like I don't, like, it's easier being 39 and being comfortable in my skin than when I was 25, let's say. I mean, listen, and I remember being in my early 20s. I always, I never felt good in my skin. I never did. And that was before social media and this pressure that we have now.
like everyone looked more normal, right, in the early 2000s.
Now it's like, it's just so different.
And this is pre-Botox and pre-everything.
And I don't know.
It's just a different world.
And I do, I just think it's so hard for these kids now.
And I'm not taking it away from men and from boys.
But to be a woman, a young girl growing up in today's world is really hard.
And I just think all we have to do or all we can do is,
have a lot of conversations, making an open, open-ended conversation about making good choices,
feeling, because for me, it's like making good choices for me means loving your body and
taking care of it in a way that you love it and appreciate it instead of hurting it.
Like, you know, I took diet pills in high school and it's like, I remember my dad found the diet
pills and he was more mad about that than like me drinking. And by the way, I get that now.
I would be the same way.
Like, that shit's so bad for you.
And I don't know.
This Ozempic craze is wild.
Everyone I fucking know is microdosing OZempic.
Well, OZempic is really bad on your digestive system.
It slows everything down.
So I'm just kind of like, I don't know at what cost?
What's going to happen in a couple?
I don't know.
I don't know.
I could keep going and going and going.
But I'm not going to.
I think at the end of the day, it's just like we ultimately set a good example.
or are hopefully setting a good example for our daughters. I'm singling out the daughters right now.
Like, I know at the end of the day how I feel about myself, how I talk about myself, my relationship
with food, my relationship with alcohol, my relationship with working out and prioritizing
sleep. And I feel very proud of the example I'm setting. And I really hope that. I really hope.
that is the foundation that sailor will have forever. And I definitely dealt with my own food
struggles, my body insecurity, all the things. But my dad did have a good relationship to food.
And I got to see that throughout high school. And I didn't do it then, but I ultimately did come
back to that. And so I do think seeing that and having a good foundation, I think for kids,
kids is, is huge, is huge. And listen, I mean, it all starts with us, right? Like, as a mom,
you know, I can't be going around being like, I feel fat. I feel like that. It's like,
can't talk like that. Cannot talk like that in front of your kids. Even if you do,
even if you do feel fat, keep it to yourself. Don't say that shit from your kids. I just think
like having a healthy relationship. But that's, that's everything as being a parent, right? It's like
working on your own shit so that you don't pass that down to your kids.
Great segue into next week's episode, more parenting stuff.
So we're going to stop here.
And if you're a parent, tune in next week.
But I love you guys.
As always, good to be back.
Back in a normal cadence here with the podcast now,
I think summer and taking a couple weeks off and everything has been great.
But I'm happy to be back in a rhythm with you guys now.
So I love you and I'll see you next week.
