Starting point is 00:00:00 Welcome in to Let's Be Honest. Before we get into the episode, I'm about to turn you on to the only deodorant that you'll ever need. It's called Lume Whole Body Deodorant, and it's formulated for all the places that tend to get stinky when the weather warms up. Not only does it go where other deodorants don't, but it's also just outrageously effective. One application in the morning is clinically proven to block odor all day long. So even if this summer feels like you're in Texas or you literally are in Texas, you don't need to worry. Lume has you covered with up to 72 hours of odor control. Something that I love so much about Lume is they are paraben free, baking soda free, and they're pH balanced for safe use below the belt. If you know what I mean,
Starting point is 00:00:44 finding a good deodorant can be really tricky. I feel like I've tried every deodorant on the market and not to be gross, but when I start sweating or even just a couple hours later, sometimes I stink. I just do. So I've been using Lume and I love it. I do not smell awful. Thank you very much. Lume's starter pack is perfect for new customers. It comes with a solid stick deodorant, cream tube deodorant, two free products of your choice, like the mini body wash and deodorant wipes, and free shipping. As a special offer for my listeners, new customers get 15% off all Lumi products with my exclusive code. And if you combine the 15% off with the already discounted starter pack, that equals over 40% off your starter pack. Use code honest for 15% off your first purchase at lumideodorant.com.
Starting point is 00:01:34 That's honest at L-U-M-E-D-E-O-D-O-R-A-N-T.com. The following podcast is a Dear Media production. This is Let's Be Honest with Kristen Cavallari, a podcast all about getting real and open on everything from sex, relationships, reality TV, wellness, family, and so much more. And just a fair warning, there will probably be some oversharing. Okay, we're back for part two of the Grease Recap. So... We haven't left, actually.
Starting point is 00:02:07 We've been sitting right here. So we're rolling right into part two. Right into... We're going to keep going on Paros. So, okay, let's see. Like we said, we had three nights. I want to talk about the restaurant that we ate dinner at right on the water. You know, when you see those videos of these restaurants in Greece,
Starting point is 00:02:23 and they're literally like on the water, and there's like waves crashing behind you, we ate at a place like that. And it was a last minute decision. Scoot found it and we just stumbled into it. That was probably my favorite restaurant. It was mine too. And it's the coolest thing in the world because yeah, like you'll see these videos on like social media or whatever. And like you said, like the waves are crashing up and the tables are just kind of like scattered
Starting point is 00:02:44 out or whatever. But it's so beautiful. That was one place. I actually have a video of you walking in and like, you look back at me like, Oh my God. Cause one of those things, like you see it, you can't believe that's real life. I know. Like, I love when you're like walking through the restaurant, like walking into the ocean. It looks. Yeah. And then it's just like the most beautiful, like it is unbelievable. And it's like those things. And it reminds you like how beautiful like the world is when you get out there and like look around like it is so magical so that dinner was so beautiful do you remember that night was one of those nights that was so weird because like
Starting point is 00:03:14 people will come up to you when we travel but Greece is so there's not a lot of American there's not I actually feel like Greece well Mykonos was a place well I'm trying to think there was only a couple nights where people came up to me but I do feel like Greece, well, Mykonos was a place. Well, I'm trying to think. There was only a couple nights where people came up to me. But I do feel like Greece is a place where I can kind of hide out. Yeah, no, I felt like you got left alone a lot. But at that restaurant, for whatever reason, you did a photo shoot. I had a meet and greet.
Starting point is 00:03:36 A meet and greet, yeah. We were at the table and these girls come and they're all so nice. The people who like love you are seriously cool girls. And I can always spot them. When I walk into a restaurant, oh, but by the way, if you are seriously cool girls. And they're all nice. And I can always spot them when I walk into a restaurant. Oh, but by the way, if you're listening out there, the girl in Mykonos. No, the one girl at the place in Mykonos who I saw when we're walking up the table, keep nudging her boyfriend. And you took a picture of Kristen and sent it to Demois.
Starting point is 00:03:59 Is that what it's called? Yeah. Well, also, I took a picture with her. Oh, no, it was the girl right behind you. I took a picture with her when I was on my way back. How rude. So anyway, she took a picture of Kristen and sent it into DeMois. DeMois is so gross, you guys. Don't be part of that.
Starting point is 00:04:13 It's so that shit makes my skin crawl. Like let people live their lives without you taking photos of them. And then it's like reporting on it. Like if you feel I'm sorry, I'm going to fucking vent and go there. If you feel cool doing that, you're a fucking loser. I'm sorry, I'm going to fucking vent and go there. If you feel cool doing that, you're a fucking loser. I'm sorry, but you are, especially in this situation with her in particular, she like thinks she's a paparazzi taking photos of my back. But then I took a photo with her and she still sent it in to Demois. So it's like, I think it's, I think it's
Starting point is 00:04:40 so gross. I mean, I, I get nervous because saying Demois is discussed, whoever the person is that runs it, I think she's actually supposed to be a nice person. I don't think anyone knows who she is. She's a scumbag. I'm sorry. Yeah. But what you're feeding into, it's just it's not cool because it's also it's all these weird pictures of people in them in private moments, like at a restaurant enjoying themselves. And it always gets taken out of context, too. And if you guys are not familiar with Demois, it's an Instagram site that anyone can essentially write into send pictures in. But Justin could write in and say, I just saw Kristen Cavallari licking someone's butthole and they do and they do no fact checking. And then they say that. Yeah, they could say that. Like I saw Kristen arrest right now and she was screaming at the
Starting point is 00:05:20 waitress. And that's not true at all. That could not happen at all, but they could write it. And the millions of people who look at that account. So you want to know why. So here's what happens in like the media world. Demois will write something. And then like the Us Weeklys of the world will fact check with people's publicists and whatnot. And the reason why 98 percent of the shit that they put on that site doesn't go anywhere is because it's not fucking true. Right. If they were writing stuff that was really true, it would be everywhere. It would be printed everywhere. But it's like there's no way of fact checking that stuff. That is a shitty thing.
Starting point is 00:05:49 I get it. The zero fact checking. That's the part I don't like. The bummer is that's not going to go away because people's fascination with celebrities will always be there. I know, I know. Okay, I'm done bitching.
Starting point is 00:05:58 So I saw that girl, but I saw the whole thing go down and I was just so shocked that she would send that in because- What a bitch. What an absolute bitch. That is so rude. I know. And I was just so shocked that she would send that in because- What a bitch. What an absolute bitch. That is so rude.
Starting point is 00:06:07 And we expect an apology. Also, we had just gotten off. We were like on a boat that whole day. And we all look haggard as fuck. That was like the one day where we all didn't feel cute. Didn't put any effort into my appearance. But also, I think too, because that was the first day that I had been recognized. So I'm in this mode of like, sweet. No one knows who the fuck I am in Greece. I was like, this is awesome.
Starting point is 00:06:28 And then that was another meet and greet day when I went to the bathroom. It's like, once one person comes up, I get it. Then everyone comes up, which is fine. And again, I like meeting people. I'm not complaining. You're so good at it. You like have fun with it. Yeah. I don't mind. I just felt like, I don't know, maybe because I took a picture with that girl, she would be like, oh, I won't't send that in them but the night that we were at that restaurant in Paros because Paros is like way different than Mykonos like it really I didn't feel like I heard very many Americans or like you really just feel disconnected from the world it's like a tiny island or whatever but we went to that restaurant and a bunch of like the sweetest girls were coming up but like you said like one person
Starting point is 00:06:59 will come and then all of a sudden a bunch of tables will come but what I thought was so cool that night is we're sitting there and like Mark not fazased by it at all like he's not like didn't even like roll his eyes or like and he kind of just like looks over and he like smiles or whatever where i have seen you with other people in the past who like really hate that stuff and they almost kind of get jealous that i've gotten left in the airport from one particular ex, when girls would come up to me and ask me for photos, he would leave me. Would literally leave me. They'd be like, hey, can you take a picture for us? And he would like laugh and walk away. Like that's what I'm used to doing. That's insane behavior. Well, yeah. No, Mark was so chill about the whole thing.
Starting point is 00:07:42 Mark is so great. It's so funny, though, because like when you think about going on vacations with anyone for like 10 days or whatever, and especially like somebody in a new relationship, you're going to see little like weird things happen. You guys didn't have one. There wasn't one night of like bickering. Like you guys really do have like that good kind of energy. Like it's a similar thing to scooting. We're like all just kind of buddies. Like all of us just like had fun or whatever. But not once did he like get jealous. Did get weird about things very very supportive also very like patient because
Starting point is 00:08:09 like our conversations at these tables just get so insane and he went to lunch breakfast lunch dinner over and over for 10 days and like chris and i are turned on like this but even more when we're on vacation and he's so patient and like cool with it. I know. You know what? Really shocking though. Like, I'm not just saying this because like we're on a podcast
Starting point is 00:08:30 and I'm trying to paint the picture. He wouldn't say anything. No. Differently. Yeah. He's so consistent. Consistent. He's no matter what the situation is,
Starting point is 00:08:40 no matter where we are, he is consistent. And that as being on the other end of it is so nice i've also never experienced that before i know you haven't i really know you haven't and i kept thinking about that a lot on that trip yeah it was like that's very good for you consistent and just easy like he's so easy to be around what i was thinking about too it's funny like uh so we always travel together and what i really thought about this time is I was like okay so for the past like four years me and you have been doing all these trips all the time together whatever I never really thought
Starting point is 00:09:12 about like we would go to dinner all over the world and like you would just go back to your hotel room alone by myself and you'd go to bed and I would lay in bed all night like is she okay like whatever immediately like seven o'clock in the morning I would wake up and I'd text her I'm like morning like do you want to go for a walk do you want to go to the gym whatever charity case no no no no no but just you would do that with anybody or whatever but it's so funny like on this trip it was like it was so chill like i wasn't worried about you and like i know she's okay yeah and it was it was cool and but but beyond that i just really liked like you having a buddy there but it also said to me like you're fucking dope for going on vacation
Starting point is 00:09:45 with Scoot and I and like, you're never need, like, you're just like, good night, you guys. I would be like,
Starting point is 00:09:49 I would sleep with the other couple. I would sleep with the other couple. Well, I love my alone time too. I mean, and that's something
Starting point is 00:09:54 I've had too. That's a bit of an adjustment for me. to have a buddy this time? Yes, it was very nice. I can tell it was. I love that for you.
Starting point is 00:10:01 You had a little buddy. You had a little buddy. You like, actually slept in. Yeah like actually slept in. Yeah, I slept in. Yeah, which normally we would always meet like immediately. We'd be up so early. So up and all of us together or whatever.
Starting point is 00:10:12 I slept a lot in Greece. I was nice. You slept a lot. It actually freaked me out. You slept a lot. Like a weird amount. I was catching up on the last four years. One day when we were...
Starting point is 00:10:23 Okay, so Paros, we're going to kind of wrap that up. Well that's kind of it for Paros. Like Paros was great. I think we kind of left being like we don't necessarily need to go back.
Starting point is 00:10:32 Incredible island but like once you've done it you've done it. Yeah I agree completely. The only thing that I would maybe like five years from now maybe I would like want to rent a house
Starting point is 00:10:40 with friends and just kind of do it in a really chill way. I want to go experience I guess there's beautiful beaches there. That was the one thing we didn't do. Yeah, take out like the ATVs and like ride around the island and stuff, explore more
Starting point is 00:10:49 like that. But I feel like we got like the nightlife and the dinners and all that stuff out of the way. But it is so beautiful there. P-A-R-O-S, Paros Island. Just in case we're saying it, we're normally like, what are they saying? Here's a brand that you guys know I absolutely love, and that is Element. If you're not familiar with Element, what are you doing? But they are electrolytes.
Starting point is 00:11:19 Element helps anyone stay hydrated without the sugar and other dodgy ingredients found in popular electrolyte and sports drinks. Electrolyte deficiency or imbalance can cause headaches, cramps, fatigue, brain fog, and weakness. Element is a zero sugar electrolyte drink mix born from the growing body of research revealing that optimal health outcomes occur at sodium levels two to three times government recommendations. Each sick pack delivers a meaningful dose of electrolytes free of sugar, artificial colors, or other dodgy ingredients. Element is formulated for anyone on a mission to restore health through hydration
Starting point is 00:11:55 and is perfectly suited for athletes, folks who are fasting, or those just following keto, low-carb, whole food, or paleo diets. I have been using Element for years now. I have so many packs in my pantry. I use at least one to two per day. They're great pre and post drinking. If you're going to be drinking, I just always feel so much better when I'm drinking my electrolytes and they have so many great flavors. My current obsession is mango chili. It sounds kind of funky, but I'm telling you, you guys, if you like a little kick, you're going to be obsessed. So guys get your free element sample pack with any purchase at drink element.com slash honest. Also try the new element sparkling, a bold 16 ounce can of sparkling
Starting point is 00:12:41 electrolyte water. Yum. While I'm not currently on dating apps, that doesn't mean I don't have my fair share of experience with them. And that's why I'm really excited to talk to you guys about eHarmony. The best relationships are the ones where we feel comfortable being ourselves, right? They're with people who really see us for us, someone who really gets us. So why not use a dating app that is designed to do specifically that? eHarmony helps you find someone you can be yourself with. The eHarmony signup process gives each person a distinct personality profile that shows what makes them them. Based on a set of questions everyone on the platform answers, eHarmony members see how shared personality
Starting point is 00:13:24 traits with people feel instantly relatable and differences can complement one another as well. That's one thing I love so much about eHarmony is these personality profiles. So right from the get-go, you already know a lot about this person, what you have in common, what you do not have in common, but maybe you're interested in. And I always used to like going into dates, having a few talking points. So when you have these robust profiles, you already from there can get a couple of talking points. If you're going to do a FaceTime, a phone call, or if you are just going straight to a date, I love having more information about someone I'm
Starting point is 00:14:02 going to go on a date with. That was always kind of my negative about other dating apps was you really didn't know a whole lot about these people. And so you're just basing everything off of photos, which that will definitely get you into trouble. Take it from me. So you guys find someone that you can be yourself with. Get who gets you on eHarmony. Sign up today. Bon Charge is a brand I'm also so excited to talk to you guys about. Bon Charge is a holistic wellness brand with a huge range of evidence-based products to optimize your life in every way. Founded on science and inspired by nature, all Bon Charge products adopt ancestral ways of living in our modern day world. Their extensive range of premium wellness products help you sleep better, perform better, have more energy, recover faster, balance hormones, reduce inflammation. I mean, the list is endless.
Starting point is 00:14:50 From blue light glasses and infrared saunas to red light therapy to EMF management and circadian friendly lighting, Bon Charge products help you naturally address the issues of our modern day way of life effortlessly and with maximum impact. My favorite product from Bon Charge is their red light face mask. The red light face mask is supposed to help with wrinkles, acne, scars, you name it. Red light is so good for just about everything. I love the red light face mask because it's so easy to use. You just throw it on and you can continue doing whatever it is you're doing, whether that's the dishes, maybe you're making your bed in the morning, maybe you're
Starting point is 00:15:29 getting dressed. I mean, it's so easy to use that you can literally do whatever you want while wearing it. I've tried every other brand I feel like, and none of them compare to the bond charge one. So you guys definitely check them out. You're going to want to go to boncharge.com and use coupon code honest to save 15%. That's B-O-N-C-H-A-R-G-E.com and use coupon code honest to save 15%. So then we took another ferry to Santorini. And holy shit, Santorini is the most beautiful place I've ever been to. Blew my mind. I did not want to go there. I know.
Starting point is 00:16:12 I didn't tell you that. I wrote that like in an Instagram thing. So you saw that. But I was saying like on my Instagram post, I was like, I actually didn't want to go to Santorini. Because in my mind, I always thought of it as like a tourist attraction. Or like if you went like just like went to Paris and like only looked at the Eiffel Tower or something.
Starting point is 00:16:25 You didn't want to go because you thought there was no party scene. That's the truth. To be really honest, I thought it was going to be dead with no party. I thought that they
Starting point is 00:16:32 wouldn't let me like have a drink at 10 a.m. It's a sober island. Yeah, I thought it was going to be fucking boring. I know. But we got there and I cannot believe
Starting point is 00:16:41 how beautiful this place is. The boat pulls up to the island and it's a volcano formation. So it's just this big rock in the middle of the sea. And this town is up on top of the rock. So everything's like cliffs. The most incredible views you've ever seen.
Starting point is 00:16:55 Our hotel. I'm like a hotel lover and I am absolutely a hotel snob. I am very like particular about hotels. This was the most beautiful hotel I've ever been to. One of my favorites that I've ever stayed at. Yeah. Did you have a negative about it? Because you said that not with your whole text.
Starting point is 00:17:12 I'm just thinking of like every hotel I've ever stayed in. But no, I would 1 million percent go back and stay there. This hotel was incredible. And Santorini is actually my favorite island. And what I would do if I were to go back to Greece is I would do four nights in Santorini is actually my favorite island. And what I would do if I were to go back to Greece is I would do four nights in Santorini. We would do more active stuff during the day, like renting a boat and doing those things. I would do Paros for three and maybe Mykonos for two. Yeah. Stop in Mykonos. Just party really quick. Get that out of your system and then jump on a plane and fly home.
Starting point is 00:17:39 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Exactly. Or maybe you start in Mykonos, get the partying out of your way and then you recover and rest in Santorini. Because I'm not kidding. I like the first way you said it, because you know what? Mykonos kind of put a bad taste in my mouth a little bit. We left there. I kind of, it was the first time.
Starting point is 00:17:54 So like we were saying earlier, Scoot and I always extend our trip. Every vacation that Scoot and I go, we're like, let's stay another week. We don't have kids or anything. So we always stay. But like Mykonos, I kind of wanted to go home. I was just like, but then Paros and then Santorini.
Starting point is 00:18:07 In Santorini, we tried to stay longer. We couldn't figure it out like with flights and everything. We wanted to stay longer. I loved it so much. But I think the first way you said is better. Like do a beautiful Santorini and Paros and then go to Mykonos, just party quick and then just go home.
Starting point is 00:18:21 Yeah, I think like getting on a plane kind of hungover and feeling like shit is always awful. And then coming home feeling awful. Maybe you stop at like in London, but I want to go to the Soho London farmhouse. I loved that we stopped. I would really like it made it. I love doing stuff like that. I understand breaking it up now just because we had such a nightmare of a. Yeah, because I don't want to like on the way home racing to like do the connecting flights or whatever and actually yeah it was so easy we just went right into london we had like a really nice night we had a nice day there and then you don't really unpack anything you just go right back to the airport and then fly home it was really good but we partied in london i mean are you kidding me how oh my god We got to our hotel room
Starting point is 00:19:05 and we were like, we had full intentions of just like putting pajamas on and ordering or whatever. But then the two of us were like, we're in London. It looks so beautiful. We just went down.
Starting point is 00:19:13 We have to. Yeah, we have to. We didn't go crazy or anything, but it was perfect. You guys are honestly amazing. Well, no wonder you're fucking tired, Justin. I know. I'm feeling better and normal now.
Starting point is 00:19:25 But I want to talk about Amoody Bay. Okay. So in Santorini, there's a couple different places in Santorini. And someone just asked me where we were. And I was like, I don't even know. But the first night we walked down from our hotel into this little bay. It's called Amoody Bay. It was the prettiest restaurant I've ever eaten at in my entire life.
Starting point is 00:19:44 I felt like we were on mushrooms when we walked down because you walk down like this windy road. The hotel said they could drive us, but there was something backing up this one little windy road. So like you're better off just walking wherever. So we walked down, you walk down this windy road or whatever, and you come down to this little like cove that's built into the side of the cliff where all these like restaurants are. It doesn't look real. It doesn't look like it's the most beautiful. It's the coolest thing I've ever. Again, it looks like a movie set. It looks like a movie set. And like, it's so, so beautiful. And the Greek food is my favorite. Like, I'm not kidding. I think
Starting point is 00:20:13 we had Greek salads every day. I could still eat them every single day. I never get sick of them. Never. Greek food like that. And tzatziki and just like all the things. What was that fish roe spread that we were having? What was that called? What island was that on? Well, we had them on, I think we got introduced to it. Oh, in Paros. Oh yeah. The guy brought it up and we're like, oh, fish spread. We're like, yeah, we'll try it. Absolutely. And then we started ordering it over and over. It was so good. I wish I could remember what that was called, but that's my favorite food on the planet is the Greek food. Oh, I never get sick of Greek food. I just absolutely love it. I think I could
Starting point is 00:20:44 live my life on Greek food. I'm going never get sick of Greek food. I just absolutely love it. I think I could live my life on Greek food. I'm going to make you a Greek salad right now. So I think we did walk away from the trip being like, okay, we love Greece, obviously, but we've done it now a few times. I think next year we're going to try something new. We decided we were going to go somewhere new and I'm not going to open up a coffee shop there.
Starting point is 00:21:02 No, we're definitely not moving there. I couldn't. It's also, I think it's just going to keep getting busier and busier. And it's way too far from the United States. I mean, let's be real. Let's be honest. Yeah, let's be honest here. You know how some places just like speak to your soul?
Starting point is 00:21:15 I have always been and will always be Mexico. I just will be. Well, part of Mexico. Well, Justin. Well, part, say it. Obviously, Cabo. like what part of mexico well justin well part say it obviously cabo but i'm not i'm not gonna open up a coffee shop in cabo i would do like remember los barillos so when we did this detox spa a couple years ago you fly into cabo but then you drive 30 minutes on the other side and it's like what cabo was 30 years ago could you really live there that long so suck my dick i know what i'm talking about. Part of the year I could.
Starting point is 00:21:48 I actually could live there. I could live in Mexico part of the year. I love Mexico. Girl, I'm so with you. It's also kind of like, well, I lived in Southern California my whole life, but you did most of your life. It's such a Southern California thing. There's also something about that part of the country, like the sun, the way that it hits Mexican food. In Cabo in particular, I'm laughing because you have the Laguna Beach-Cabo connection. Like Cabo is fantastic.
Starting point is 00:22:12 I mean, there are parts of it that kind of like got basic. Like everyone goes to Cabo. It's like the new Cancun or whatever. But Cabo is absolutely stunning. That to me is like the rocks and the beach. And then I just think the food is out of this world. I can eat Mexican food every freaking day. And you always know what you're going to get in Cabo.
Starting point is 00:22:30 You know, you're going to have great service, great food. It's always going to be beautiful. It's just, it's, you always know what you're going to get. Were you ever a Hawaii girl? Never, right? I went a few times growing up and I love Hawaii, but I kind of have no desire to go. Well, I think if we lived in California,
Starting point is 00:22:44 it's so much easier from here. That's a full day. Oh my gosh. It's like going, yeah, it's no desire to go. Well, I think if we lived in California, it's so much easier. From here, that's a full day. Oh my gosh. It's like going, yeah, it's like going to like... So if I'm going to travel for nine hours, I'd rather go somewhere else. I think we should go. You know, because my grandparents lived in Hawaii my whole life.
Starting point is 00:22:55 So we would spend so much of our childhood there. And Hawaii has a little bit of that for me, what Cabo has for you. Yeah. But... What island? Well, my grandparents lived on Oahu. I wouldn't really want to live there. I love like Kauai I love like Hawaii. Yeah. And I like the smaller parts of the island
Starting point is 00:23:09 or whatever. But like if you go to Hawaii, not like a tourist and you go check out the quieter beaches and stuff, it's so beautiful. We would do. I remember going to this thing called Queen's Bath and it was like this big just I don't even know what you call it, but it's water in the middle of all the rocks and you can like jump off the cliffs and everything. And that was like this big, just, I don't even know what you call it, but it's water in the middle of all the rocks and you can like jump off the cliffs and everything. And that was amazing. We would do all of that stuff. My dad would rent a Jeep and we would just like go cruise around the island. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:33 The problem with Hawaii though is the food. Is it, they don't have good food? It's terrible. It's absolutely terrible. It's like burgers and fries. It's burgers and fries. It's like American, like, but then even like the Hawaiian food. I'm surprised by that.
Starting point is 00:23:50 Yeah. It's not healthy. Yeah.'s not healthy yeah it's just not and every time i go to like a hotel the food it's it's rough you know first world problems like that one lady told me you know she called me out my first world problems this is a first world problems i have quite a few i have quite a few of them you know i gotta dip my toe into the uh other types problems to have, you know? All right. What other trips are we going to do here? We have nothing planned. And that kind of gives me a little bit of anxiety, you know? I mean, this is like our big trip. We like in the summer, we always do one big trip. But we always do New York in November or December, which is nice.
Starting point is 00:24:19 Well, I found that one spa that I really want to go to with you. Oh, yeah. We should do that. It's like super like techie. Like they like hook you up to like machines and stuff and they like do all of your blood work. And then they like follow your progress for days, like to see how your body's calming down and how you're getting healthier while they like give you all the foods and vitamins that you're missing. Like, I love that. Like that's like the future and they, and they, they cater. So the
Starting point is 00:24:42 first day you go in and they get, it feels like a commercial. I'm not going to tell you what the place is called, by the way, because I'm not promoting it. But when you first get there, they kind of do like the whole rundown of your system and they plan your vacation for what your system needs. Oh, I love that. So we're going to do that and then we'll figure that out. I really want to go to Switzerland really bad. I want to do Tokyo, but I think that'll be one after my kids are out of the house. I think that you should take your kids to Tokyo when they're in high school. That'd be so cool. Really? So you want to know what I'm going to do with my kids?
Starting point is 00:25:10 I told them that when they each graduate, I'm going to take them on a trip, like wherever they want to go. And I think because my dad always told me growing up, he was going to take me to Italy and he never did. Which like, listen, I understand. Like not everyone can just go to Italy, but I think I want to go to Italy. I think it was more like he always told. My dad didn't take me to Italy. I think it was more like he always told me he was going to and he never did,
Starting point is 00:25:31 but he never had a conversation with me about it. Of like, hey, this is why we're not because money's tight right now or whatever. But so with my kids, I've been like, I'm going to wherever you guys want to go. Camden is like, I want to go to Greece. Oh, really? Yeah. The whole time I was... I actually don't think Cam would like Greece. Jackson would love Greece.
Starting point is 00:25:49 Jackson is a wild animal and he would love jackson would love mykonos yeah camden's not going to be the partier no he's not going to be well i would maybe do santorini with him i don't know he would love that yeah each of your kids would love a different island jackson would be mykonos 100 camden would be santorini sailor paros a nice in between no i don't know sailor you know you might have to create a whole new island for her. She would have to discover. She does not like to follow the normal path. Let's chat about Skims. I specifically want to talk to you guys about their loungewear.

Starting point is 00:30:53 Can we talk really quick? Please. This is the best thing in the world. So obviously, Kristen's kids don't have social media and they don't. Kristen doesn't show them on social media, but Saylor has her own private. They have Snapchats because like that's what the kids do now. It's only with their like, you know, sixth grade, fifth grade friends, whatever. But so they're all on Snapchat. So Sailor has a Snapchat this morning. Kristen, she doesn't listen to these podcasts, right?
Starting point is 00:31:17 I just don't want her to know that I watch. Because, OK, here's the thing. OK, so Sailor is the toughest little girl you've ever met. And she's just like strong. And like, I've talked about it before. Like she scares you for the first like 10 minutes and then she'll like warm up to you. But never does she let her guard down, you know?
Starting point is 00:31:32 But we know. She has said like five words to Mark total. Like he'll be like, good morning, Sailor. And she's like. She literally will go, if you say good morning, she'll literally go. And then like walk out of the room, whatever. So then when she's sweet to you,
Starting point is 00:31:43 you feel like just like the world is just the best place on earth, whatever. So then when she's sweet to you, you feel like just like the world is just the best place on earth, whatever. Okay, so she has a Snapchat and Kristen's like, you have to go look at Sailor's Snapchat. I pulled over on my car. I was driving when Kristen voice-nated it to me. I pulled over and like pulled it up and I found it.
Starting point is 00:31:59 I went on to her Snapchat and I looked at it. You guys, she was doing get readies with me. And here's the thing too, which by the way, makes me really happy because I thought Saylor might be like a softball chick. Yeah. Like she's like tough and she's really, really strong and like whatever. She was doing the most girly get ready with me ever. Like she was pretending to put on makeup. She was talking directly into the camera like Kristen Cavallari. The way she was putting on her makeup is like how the influencers do it. By the way used the uncommon james bronzing drops and i'll say who it is tell everyone what brand that is you're all link it link it she's all and then the bronzing drops and like put some on like the
Starting point is 00:32:35 thing is is it was the cutest thing in the world because i said to you right after i was like please don't tell her that we watch this or like don't let anyone tease her about that because that is her real personality and i want to watch it for the next 10 years of my life when i discovered it last night i was i was with mark and i was like mark come watch this we were dying because you don't even really get to see that side of her right she was so like girly and sweet and it's funny because you say like at school she's like a star student the teachers love her she has like all these girlfriends whatever and we're like sailors she's like because at home, but she has brothers, you know, like whatever. But it's like we got, or I, I mean, you see her every single day.
Starting point is 00:33:11 I'm just talking as an outsider. But like, I saw a glimpse of her that like I've never seen before. It was the QC. Then she was doing like these like TikTok dances. But she knew how to put a song to it. She said, POV, you don't put makeup on. I'm like, how does she even know this stuff? She's almost nine. I'm like, how does she know that? Well, she's around older girls.
Starting point is 00:33:30 And so she picks up on this stuff, but I'm like, kids are so fucked today. The fact that she's eight and she's doing get ready with me. By the way, I would have been the same way at fucking six. I would have been like, okay, here's my, I talk about this all the this all the time like scoot will always say because i'm obsessed with social media and i could do it all day long but scoot was like if you had social media when you were a kid i would have been a nightmare like i would have i would have been i would have shared my entire life nightmare like the fact that all of that is just gonna be so normal to these kids as they get older but also just like sailor has a makeup kit. Like I didn't start wearing makeup until I was in eighth grade, eighth fucking grade. That's 14, 13, 14. Again,
Starting point is 00:34:11 Saylor is eight and she wears makeup. She does makeup like she doesn't wear like makeup to school every day. Like I wouldn't allow that. But like if she'll come home or like on the weekend, she'll be like, I'm gonna go do my makeup. And it's like, how do you even know what you're doing? Oh, my God. She's going to be such trouble and she's so pretty. And she had like a little belly shirt on when she was doing her little dances.
Starting point is 00:34:29 I'm like, oh my God. That is going to be serious trouble. But she's... Thank God she has older brothers. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:34:35 they'll humble her for sure. Thank God. But she's your daughter. I mean, those videos I was watching, I was like, oh, there's Kristen.
Starting point is 00:34:42 It's me. Oh my God. She's kind of sassy too, you know? kind of sassy? She's like, oh, there's Kristen. It's me. Oh my God. She's kind of sassy too, you know? Kind of sassy? She's like sassier than you. That's why though, I really don't want her
Starting point is 00:34:51 to know that we saw it because I don't think she'll ever do it again. Well, can't you see who watches your stories or no? Oh, crap.
Starting point is 00:34:59 But she knows I follow her. Like, I mean. Oh, so she's confident and proud. She's going to be on reality TV. She's going to be on reality TV for sure. Get ready for that. Just prepare yourself. She's taking over Uncommon James on reality TV.
Starting point is 00:35:13 She will for sure have her own show. Oh my God. Oh God. I think she's going to make you look tame. A hundred percent. Well, because, well, that's like if you go watch Laguna Beach today, you're like, this is so boring. There's nothing happening here. But at the time, it was a big deal. But
Starting point is 00:35:28 everything is so heightened and fast-paced. And it's like, you got to get it out there. It's a lot now. It's a lot more to keep up with. Yeah. If you want to keep people's attention or get people to pay attention to you in that world, I mean, it's just constant. It's a lot. That's a lot of pressure. My God, I'm tired. Just thinking about it.
Starting point is 00:35:48 Fucking social media age eight. Oh my God. Wait, we needed to talk about something else. Your followers want to know. This was your first big trip. They all want to know. This was your first big trip with Mark.
Starting point is 00:35:58 Like what was the vibe of you on that long of a vacation together? And keep it real. This is a Let's Be Honest podcast. No, of course. I'm nothing but honest. It was so easy. And I will say it was a long trip.
Starting point is 00:36:10 You know, it was. 10 days is a long time together. And I think when you travel with someone, you really get to know them. You start to see their little things that bug you or whatever. I mean, I really mean it. He's so easy.
Starting point is 00:36:23 And he opened up to me a lot on this trip, which I love. I love that. I need that. To feel connected. Yeah. And so I really came home feeling like, God, that was really great.
Starting point is 00:36:34 And just how easy it is with you guys. I thought the four of us were so great together. Like zero complaints. I really had so much fun. I came home more excited about us, I would say. More in love with him? More in love with him. I like that. I really had so much fun. I came home like more excited about us, I would say. More in love with him? More in love with him.
Starting point is 00:36:48 I like that. I know. No, I feel the exact same way. It was just like so freaking easy. And it was really cute with you. It was like the first time that I saw you, like you seemed chill. There was never like a moment
Starting point is 00:36:58 where like you and I would like walk ahead or whatever. You're like, oh, fucking this is annoying. Like none of that. Like you guys were like a little like pair or whatever. And i mean mark and i were together constantly like the two of us would kind of do our own thing sometimes and you guys would you know but very rarely though like yeah when i came back i started thinking about that trip i'm like we literally did everything together the one day that i said to you i was like hey girl this is like your guys's first big trip together to europe whatever i was like if you want
Starting point is 00:37:25 to go to dinner tonight do your own thing like scoot and i do not care you know like secretly hoping that you want to go to dinner just because like i enjoy it um and scoot and i've gone everywhere together whatever and we had the london whatever so i was like if you guys want to have like a date night or whatever and um we had like a day date that day yeah like you were kind of whatever cruising around but for him to even be open, because I was also kind of giving him the out. So he'd be like, hey, Mark, what do you think or whatever? Yeah, which I did.
Starting point is 00:37:49 Yeah, but even him, like he's just so go with the flow. Like it really was an easy, easy foursome. So that is really exciting to me. I know. There was like this weird, no, that tree that fell down over there. It's like the inside of the tree is really orange. I thought it was a flame. Like that really orange. I thought it was a flame. Like that like freak tree.
Starting point is 00:38:06 I thought it was a flame. It's the inside of a tree. Do you see that? Like when I flashed over and looked at it, it looked like a flame. Jeez, that's scary. Oh my God, you and I running from a forest fire. A fake forest fire.
Starting point is 00:38:21 No, honestly, he just is the easiest guy to be around. I mean, he really is. He never talked about complaining. He never fucking complains ever. Never complains. And also he's very present. Very present. That's something that I noticed a lot.
Starting point is 00:38:36 I even made like a joke to him because like I was like, is that a brand new phone? Because his phone looked like it'd never been touched before. Like my phone is brand new, but it looks like it's been like thrown out of a car like 10 times at the bottom of the ocean. Like my phone's just beat up all the time, but his phone is so clean. Like, but I noticed that he's never on his phone scrolling or like even like calling people. Like he must like really know the times to go do it.
Starting point is 00:38:57 Like, cause he was calling his parents and calling his friends or. Well, I don't know if he was calling people. I mean, I know he was like checking in and stuff, but. But anyway, the present thing was really good. Cause I know everyone can relate to this. Like if you invite a new friend into your friend group or like one of your good friends dates, somebody new, a lot of times, like you can meet these people and like, because they also like get a little shy. So people sit at the table and scroll. Like he was always very present. That
Starting point is 00:39:19 means a lot to me. Cause I like to really connect and be present. You know, I love social media. I've done that forever. But like when you're in those environments, it's fun to feel somebody like. No, totally. You want to connect. I also think. Aren't I better about social media? Yeah, you really are. I mean, yeah. You really notice it though, right? No. Yeah. When we're together now, you're like hardly on your phone. And the one night that you were at the gay bar, I kept knocking it over. So yeah, she like literally threw my foot. He would be filming. I would just go up to the phone and just knock it over yeah i was filming i kept like trying to go live like i love social media and i was going like always go live but by the way but by the way i am so respectful of you because
Starting point is 00:39:55 in my normal life if i was on that trip alone i'd be live doing shit all the time but like i am when i'm with kristin and she's on a new, this new relationship or whatever. Like I don't want to put out a drunk Insta story that people like take and turn it into something weird or whatever, but we were all very, very much present. I missed my social media though. I love it. I really enjoy it.
Starting point is 00:40:15 Are you happy to be home so you can do it again? Yeah. I'm happy to be home. Just like connect with my buddies on social media. It's really funny because it's a, it's a part of my personality. I really know it is. No, I love it. I get that. That's like the one thing where a part of my personality. I really enjoy it. No, it is. I love it.
Starting point is 00:40:26 I get that. I love it. That's like the one thing where we really don't see eye to eye on. We're so different with that stuff. Because if social media went away, I'd be so happy.
Starting point is 00:40:33 She wouldn't care and I would have a breakdown. Like, I feel like I have to share my personal life from time to time so it's not just an Uncommon James ad.
Starting point is 00:40:43 You know what? Yeah. Oh my. So you don't want to do any of it but you do it i don't see where i'd be i just i would let someone put a camera on me all the way and i would like talk to people but you know what i was talking to scoot about it because he he even brought it up he was like because i really was when we were there i was trying so i would like take videos randomly and then i would post them hours later when I was in bed. Where normally I do everything in real time or whatever.
Starting point is 00:41:08 And Scoot was like, I can tell that's kind of like getting to you or whatever. Oh, really? Yeah, that you're not like just kind of being yourself like you always are on social media because I enjoy it. But we started talking about it and I started thinking it's a big part of like also why I loved doing hair. I love to constantly connect with people like that is like my happy place. Right. Then hair got taken away from me. I love to constantly connect with people. Like that is like my happy place, right? Then hair got taken away from me. I'm not in a salon anymore. And kind of social media became like,
Starting point is 00:41:31 I read DMs. I talk to people. I love sharing. Like I love talking about like beauty products and finding out what the best things are. Like I would do that in my chair all day long. My favorite thing about doing hair was like learning from my clients the best things.
Starting point is 00:41:43 So I just absolutely love it. No, that makes sense to me. I totally see why social media has filled that gap. Yeah. Like that is my personality. Like I really enjoy constantly feeling like connected to people. The time change really threw me off because I'm like, wait, everyone in America. Everyone's sleeping.
Starting point is 00:41:57 Yeah. I'm like, even if I wanted to talk right now, I couldn't. Where are the DMs? Yeah. Where is everyone? Why is everyone quiet? It's like crickets. No, that makes sense to me.
Starting point is 00:42:04 I mean, it really does. And then yours makes sense to you because you've also been in the spotlight for such a long time and you see it in a different way. For me, no one cares what I post, you know? So I could post anything. And like, I also don't care
Starting point is 00:42:17 if I'm like drunk on a live or whatever. Yeah, I'm drunk. Like, nobody cares. Listen, I would love to be able to just be 100% my authentic self on social media. Unfortunately, I can't be. That's what close friends is for. Although it's really just turned into posting my kids, which I do like it because then I can,
Starting point is 00:42:33 you know, everyone who I know in LA, Chicago, every, you know, everybody can. She's saying close friends on Insta stories where you can make a story just for your close friend. So I can select who can see it. And that's been nice for all of my friends to be able to see my kids. But that's kind of the only thing I like about it. But I would love to be able to say everything I want to say, be drunk on Instagram, do all of those things. But it would turn into a headline. It would turn into a story. And I don't I don't like that life. Yeah. No, look, I think you're very honest and you have all your outlets to say what you want to say. You don't need to relate to me. I actually really do think that you dislike social media.
Starting point is 00:43:05 No, I do. Yeah, and I think that that's normal. Also, you've done that stuff for your entire life or whatever. Right, sharing my life. Also, I'm sorry, but people in the public treat women differently than men. I think if you acted drunk where people would tear it apart. She's a mother. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:43:21 Where with me, it's funny, A, because I'm not famous. And you're not a dad, I think. Yeah, and I don't have kids or whatever it's like it's funny. A, because I'm not famous. And you're not a dad, I think. Yeah. And yeah, and I don't have kids or whatever. I wonder if you guys had kids if people would look at you differently. Like dads get away with fucking murder. Look at fucking Justin Timberlake getting a DUI with ecstasy and all that shit. No one even fucking says anything.
Starting point is 00:43:37 It's so true, though. If that was Jessica Biel, oh, my. No, but I'm just saying dads can never be around their kids. And they come home and spend five minutes with them. And it's like, oh my God, he's the best. Yeah. What? No, it's a real thing.
Starting point is 00:43:50 It's a real thing. I mean, they get away with so much. But yeah, the way that people just in general pick apart women. Can I just say really quickly, I just want to say this. So Mark took my kids to school the other morning. He made them breakfast. I made their sandwiches the night before and like whatever. Because I actually had to go to LA for 24 hours to film a kind of bar commercial.
Starting point is 00:44:10 So I had to leave in the morning. So Mark fed my kids and got their lunches and took them to school. That is so cute. That's really fucking sweet. He's 24 years old. Like 24 year olds don't need to be doing that shit. Don't say that age anymore. You don't need to say that. He's ageless. You're right. He is.
Starting point is 00:44:27 But I get what you're saying. You know what I'm saying? I just think that's a big deal. I think it's a big deal for a guy in general, but especially for his age. Like that was really fucking sweet. And did it come kind of natural to him? Or like he was just like chill with it? I mean, he loves your kids. He was fine. He loves my kids. And my kids love him. He was fine with it.
Starting point is 00:44:43 And my kids were fine with it. But I don't know. It means a lot to your kids too, I bet. It means a lot to my kids. He's my kids and my kids love him. He was fine with it. And my kids were fine with it. But I don't know. It means a lot to your kids too, I bet. It means a lot to my kids. He's very present with my kids. He plays with my kids. He talks to them. Like it's, it was so funny. Oh my God, I was making dinner the other day
Starting point is 00:44:54 and Jackson pulled up the Montana boys Instagram. I was going through all the videos with Mark being like, oh, I like this one. Oh, like, what were you doing here? It's so funny. But yeah, so all good stuff all around. So next year, we're going to not go to Greece. No, we don't need it.
Starting point is 00:45:10 We don't need to go there for a while. Definitely. Long time. Not opening up a coffee shop. But we've got 10 years. So the search continues. I still think it's going to be Mexico. I've said all along.
Starting point is 00:45:19 It'll be Mexico. And I think it always will be. All right, you guys. Wait, what else? We didn't have anything else, right? We gave them good stuff, right? Do you guys feel like we gave you good stuff? That's the people pleaser in me.
Starting point is 00:45:30 I'm like, wait, you can't end it. Did they have something to really take away? I'm trying to think. Yeah, I think it was good. It was excellent. I think we killed it. I'm really proud of you, man. See, the jet lag is hitting right now.
Starting point is 00:45:42 What time is it? It's 11. It's a sign. But it's this time, one o'clock. Like I could go. Yeah, I'm going to upstairs. Here. Just go in my room.
Starting point is 00:45:51 I just stay here. All right, bye guys. Bye.
