Starting point is 00:00:00 The following podcast is a Dear Media production. This is Let's Be Honest with Kristen Cavallari, a podcast all about getting real and open on everything from sex, relationships, reality TV, wellness, family, and so much more. And just a fair warning, there will probably be some oversharing. Welcome in to Let's Be Honest. We're back for part two of y'all's questions. So last week started with questions that you guys had submitted on Instagram. You guys always give the best questions. You really do. So I appreciate you guys for that. So I had so many that couldn't fit them all in last week. So we are going to finish them this week. And we're just going to start off strong
Starting point is 00:00:45 because that's all we know how to do. So the first question, just getting right down to it. How's the healing process of cutting your dad out of your life been asking for a friend? All right. So here's a conversation that I had with Cindy, the spiritual medium that I had on the podcast months ago. I, when I cut my dad out of my life, I had this crazy guilt and I felt like car, like I was worried about karma and I believe in reincarnation. So I was worried about like karma from lifetime to lifetime. So I remember asking Cindy, I was like, here's the thing, you know, with cutting my dad out of my life, I was like, does that mean that I'm going to have to come back into another life and work out all the same issues with him?
Starting point is 00:01:29 And she was like, no, you actually cut the karma by cutting him out of your life. Like I needed to do that. And I felt that you guys, before she said that, I felt that like cutting my dad out of my life is one of the most freeing things I've ever done. I, it, to me, it felt like it was the last thing in my healing journey that I needed to do to move on with my life and start moving forward. But I still, it was like my mind kept going back to that karma thing. And Cindy validated for me and was like, nope. And that was like all I needed to hear. And I haven't looked back since I haven't, but you guys, it was also so many years of battling. Like I never wanted to be around him. He always made me feel really shitty. And it was like,
Starting point is 00:02:28 why is he in my life if he brings me so much unhappiness? And it was like, I wanted to come out and cut him out of my life so bad, but I just felt really guilty and I didn't really have like a good reason necessarily. Like I did, but in my head, you know, I think we have this way of, it's like my dad, you know, I think we have this way of, it's like my dad, you know, I can't just like cut him out of my life. But then, um, there was a really traumatic incident that happened with my kids and it was like, Oh no, Oh no, no, no, you don't get, no, sorry. You don't get to do that and be in our lives. So it was like that, that was what I needed. So I think, listen, life is short. And if it's what you need to do to be happier, fucking do it. Just because we're born into this
Starting point is 00:03:15 family doesn't mean that we have to keep them in our lives. If they are bringing you heartbreak and disrupting your peace and making you feel like shit. Why? Why? We can create our own families with our friends even, you know? I don't believe that you have to keep them in your life just because they're your parent. I don't at all, actually. Okay. Totally changing course here. You were very thin filming Very Cavallari. You're beautiful. Any size, just wondering, I guess that's a question like why it was so thin. So yeah, I was, I was, I was very thin. So I'll put it in perspective for you guys. I'm five, three. I currently weigh 114 pounds filming, very Cavallari. I got down to 102 and I was eating the same amount of food that I'm eating now. The difference was
Starting point is 00:04:07 I was so unhappy and so stressed out. I look back at photos from that time period and I am like, holy shit. I was real fucking thin. I was skin and bones. I looked like shit. I think I look so much better now. And you guys, that was just stress. That was being in a really unhappy marriage, quite honest. I mean, literally, I was so unhappy. And I was also I had way too much on my plate, which, again, I think they kind of go hand in hand. I was so unhappy that I was just trying to max out. But I also wasn't lifting heavy weights like I am now too, but it's, that was stress. So, but now I'm just taking care of myself in so many more ways too. But I, I work out with a trainer one day a week, lifting really heavy weight. And then I usually work out three to four times
Starting point is 00:05:01 else. So I work out four to five times a week, one time with a trainer. I lift weights on my own two to three more times. And I also, I'm pretty good about pushing myself. I will say I don't push myself as much as my trainer, but I will, I'll put a little weight on there. I work out for an hour and then sometimes one day a week, I will do 30 minutes on the Stairmaster. And I'm pretty consistent with that. If I go on vacation, maybe I'll work out once or twice a week and I'll beat myself up over it. But I think with the gym, it's consistency. It's just showing up for yourself. And listen, if I'm really busy and I only work out two to three times a week, fine. I'm not, I don't,
Starting point is 00:05:42 I used to get like, I used to get mad at myself and I would feel guilty. And it was just like, ugh, a really horrible way of living where now I'm like, okay, I just needed a little bit more rest this week. I actually think rest is just as important too. So lifting heavier weights has been good for me to put some muscle on my body too. Yeah. Yeah. Will you do another cookbook? Guys, I don't think so. I don't think so. I feel like I've said everything I need to say in the cookbook world and there are a lot of work. There are a lot of work. My last one, truly simple kind of put me over the edge. I loved the process because I love nothing more than being in sweats in my kitchen. I love it. And that was my life
Starting point is 00:06:23 for months. And then I, what I did with truly simple was I was in my kitchen. I love it. And that was my life for months. And then I, what I did with truly simple was I was in my kitchen from, I think it was like August through February. And then I wrote, I did the writing portion from a few months, probably three months as well. Three months in addition to that. And it just, it was, it was, it was a lot of work. It was a lot. So I don't, I don't think so. You know, I'm not trying to add anything else to my plate right now. I love doing the podcast and I love having uncommon James and anything outside of that. I've kind of just been turning down. I've been saying no to stuff because my life is, you know, I'm really happy with things and
Starting point is 00:07:01 my work-life balance is in a great place that I don't want to add more to it. Okay. Skincare. How do you keep your face so young without Botox? Give us the skincare routine. All right. Let's really dive into skincare stuff. So, okay. Skincare. I use all of the uncommon beauty products. I really do. So that is the Koji pads in the morning, the pineapple peptide nectar serum, our daily water cream. Those are great, really hydrating products. Nighttime, we have a retinol alternative. We also have a, we have peel pads at night. We have glycolic pads. I'll kind of change those up at night. I'm trying to think. We have a lot of products coming out that aren't out yet that I am using. So while I'm using all of our products that we currently have,
Starting point is 00:07:48 I'm also supplementing with other products that are not out yet. But I also, okay, I do a lot of face masks. We have a clay mask. We have a hydrating mask. I love both of those. I do, you know, I've tried all the freaking lasers. I've done a lot of lasers over the years. I have never really noticed a difference. Maybe they are working and that's kind of helped me
Starting point is 00:08:12 stay looking youthful. I just haven't seen like instant results, but maybe, maybe that's part of it. I don't know. Cause I have been doing lasers kind of off and on since I was probably like 25. I've tried them all. What else? I try to do a facial every few months. I get facials if I'm in New York or LA. I go to Joanna Check in New York, and I go to Nary Colon at the Shani Darden Spa in LA. And they do a lot of like microcurrent stuff. I love a microcurrent machine. I have one called the Pico toner at my house. What else do I have? I kind of look at your face as what it is, a muscle. We have muscles on our face. And so to me, we need to work out our face the same way we would any other muscle in our body. So I, you know, like you'll see all these people doing like really gentle skincare. I'm not gentle at all. I'm like
Starting point is 00:09:02 getting in there. I'm like lifting things up. I'm like doing like a face massage. I've got the gua sha. I've got all the things. Like I believe in all of that. Like I've got every fucking home contraption imaginable, the red light, the blah, la la la la, the this, the that. I have done stem cell treatments under my eyes, which, you know, they kind of say is a more natural route to filler. I'm trying it. I am trying to go as long as possible without Botox and filler and all that jazz. I don't know if I'll ever do it. You know, I remember people would ask me when I was 25, why don't you get Botox? And I'd be like, because I'm 25. Ask me when I'm 35. And now I'm, you know, like, I don't know. I mean, I'm just trying to not do this stuff.
Starting point is 00:09:45 My mom is 70, you guys. Well, actually 71. She looks fucking amazing. She looks so good. And she doesn't do anything. Jeans play a huge role taking care of yourself. I drink a shit ton of water. I, you know, I work out. I'm happy. I'm peaceful. Those all play a huge role. I eat really clean. I don't drink alcohol. Actually, this is the next question. Alcohol. How often do you drink it? How much? What's your go-to bevy? Do you take breaks? So here's the thing. I think alcohol is a huge, it ages you a lot. I rarely drink. If I'm home, I am not drinking. I've never been someone to open up a bottle of wine ever. So it really depends. There are some weeks I'll have, I'll drink two nights. There are some weeks I won't drink at all.
Starting point is 00:10:33 I definitely take breaks. So my big Uncommon James campaign shoots, for sure, I do not drink for at least two weeks leading up to them. Last winter, I didn't really drink for like two and a half months. And I felt so, I felt so good. Also, I was in the best shape of my life. But for my life, it's kind of hard to be completely sober. I also am someone who I'm very healthy. I'm very clean. I, you know, love feeling great, sleeping really well.
Starting point is 00:11:04 I love going a couple of weeks without drinking, but then I kind of like turning it up once in a while. That's I've always been like that. I'll probably always be like that. I have that in me, like a little kind of like a little bit of that party girl likes to come out from time to time. So I will randomly sometimes have a night where I have seven or eight drinks, like, and I'll get after it sometimes, you know? So it really just depends, but that will always be in me. I really feel like it'll always be in me. I got that little bit of that party girl streak in me. But what I do do is I'm typically drink tequila soda with lime juice and jalapenos and a good clean tequila. Lalo is really good. What other good ones do I like? That's my favorite, but just like,
Starting point is 00:11:47 you know, no sugary drinks, no crap, no juice. Like those are all just unnecessary sugars and calories. But I think like living in a really clean lifestyle is probably the biggest thing with aging. I really, I really do. Isn't just about drinking water. It's about water and electrolytes. It makes sense. You lose both water and sodium when you sweat, but both need to be replaced to prevent muscle cramps, headaches, and electrolytes. It makes sense. You lose both water and sodium when you sweat, but both need to be replaced to prevent muscle cramps, headaches, and energy dips that result from dehydration, which is less common, and low electrolytes, which is more common. Enter Element. The evidence suggests that we should shoot for 4,000 to 6,000 milligrams of
Starting point is 00:14:20 sodium, 3,500 to 5,000 milligrams of potassium, and four to 600 milligrams of magnesium per day from diet and supplements. If that sounds like a lot of sodium, consider that athletes can lose up to seven grams of sodium per day through sweat. Well, Element has your electrolyte needs covered. With 1,000 milligrams of sodium, 200 milligrams of potassium, and 60 milligrams of magnesium. It contains enough electrolytes to move the needle towards each of these electrolyte goals. You're also guaranteed to find an element flavor you love. You could try fan favorites, citrus salt or raspberry salt. You could get spicy with mango chili, or you could even mix chocolate salt in your morning coffee
Starting point is 00:15:01 for a mean mocha. I personally love grapefruit. I have a subscription. I actually just got my new subscription today, so I'm fully loaded and very happy about it. And now they're actually also introducing Element Sparkling. No sugar, no caffeine, all electrolytes, which I cannot wait to try that. Get your free sample pack with any drink mix purchase at drinkelement.com slash honest. And if you're an Element insider, you have first access to Element Sparkling, a bold 16 ounce can of sparkling electrolyte water. Okay. And then what's your diet and workout routine? So I talked about my workout routine. So my diet, okay. Try to eat as organic as often as possible.
Starting point is 00:15:45 I eat a ton of meat and veggies and some fruit. I do limited dairy. If I'm going to do milk, it's going to be raw milk that I get at the farmer's market. Cheese. I do goat and sheep milk cheeses. I don't do a lot of cow's milk. I typically don't tolerate it well unless it's the raw milk and don't listen to the bullshit about raw milk being bad for you. It's not bad for you. There are so many beneficial things in it for you. There's enzymes. It's good for your gut. It's so we crush it at my house. And by the way, the cream on top of your raw milk and coffee in the morning game over. Okay. Sweeteners. I do maple syrup. I have honey from my own beehives. Those are kind of the only two sweeteners that I do. One thing that's changed over the years is I,
Starting point is 00:16:31 and it says it in my first two cookbooks. I never used to do anything white, no white flour, no white sugar, no white salt. That has changed. I do white rice. I've switched and now we eat white rice and fuck it tastes so much better. It tastes so much better. And I don't know, it's been kind of easier for me to maintain my weight. I also think, and I'm kind of jumping around and I know these are a lot of questions. I have all these questions in here, but maintaining weight, I think really comes from the freedom around food. It's not being so stressed out about it. It's not thinking every time you're eating food, it's going to make you fat. It's like, it's enjoying your life a little bit and having that relaxed feeling when it comes to food and not being so fucking crazy about it.
Starting point is 00:17:16 Yeah. I don't know. I used to be like really, I used to be really hard on myself about food where now it's like, if I want something, I'm going to eat it and I'm not going to beat myself up. And then great. I'm going to consistently eat healthy. And then, you know, from time to time I'll eat like shit and that's fine. And it just kind of is what it is. It's just being a little bit more lax when it comes to that stuff. But okay. So one thing I do do is I read ingredient labels. I don't look at calories ever. I don't look at fat. I don't even really look at sugar. I just read ingredients and I try to eat real whole food. So while, you know, we have some
Starting point is 00:17:52 stuff that's processed in my house, well, especially because I've got kids, we've got all the snacks and everything, but with what I'm eating, I just try to eat real whole food, you know, and if I'm going to do chips, I'm going to do like the Siete brand, just like brands that I trust where, you know, they use avocado oil instead of all of these inflammation causing oils. And if you guys really want to dig into this, you can go listen to my episode with Dr. Ryan Monahan, who's my doctor. And we do talk about some of the food stuff, but no, I don't eat fast food. I don't drink soda. Like not, I mean, I couldn't tell you the last time I did either one of those things.
Starting point is 00:18:32 And oils that I cook with at home, avocado oil, coconut oil, olive oil. And then I also have butter. I use a lot of butter. I eat bacon. I eat a lot of steak. Like a typical breakfast for me, scrambled eggs, bacon, a little bit of cheese, avocado lunch. I usually do leftovers, which will be some sort of a protein, a veggie, maybe some rice. It just depends. Or I'll make a big salad with a protein. Always, always, always a protein. I've really upped my protein in the last few months and that I've seen a difference with. And what I used to do was my morning routine used to be wake up green juice, coffee. And then when I was hungry, I would make eggs and whatever else. Now I get protein in my body within the first hour of waking up. So I am making my eggs and my bacon and everything within the first 30 minutes of waking
Starting point is 00:19:16 up. Then I do coffee. Guys, I haven't done a green juice in months. I mean, honestly, almost a year and I feel better and I look better. So I don't know. I am kind of on this protein kick right now of, um, I think protein is really important. So I try to have protein at every meal I do. And I, again, I've been able to maintain my weight easier than I ever have. And I haven't been like, it's, I've also kind of been eating like shit from time to time to more than I used to. So I don't know. Try the protein stuff. Does Montana have a favorite recipe that you cook for him from the cookbooks? He loves the chicken skewers with bang bang sauce out of truly simple, which is actually, I make that probably once a week. That's my kid's favorite recipe too. The chicken is so good. And then this bang bang sauce is, Oh, I could just, I could drink it. And I usually do that with white
Starting point is 00:20:15 rice, which is so good. Then with the sauce and everything and a veggie asparagus, you can do asparagus and you can do roasted in the oven, put butter on it. And then I also grate a little manchego cheese on it, which is really good. Well, actually I'll melt the butter, do a little garlic powder with it, a little bit of salt, and then I'll pour it on it at the very end. You want to melt the cheese on and then pour the butter on. That's really good. What's the biggest difference between doing reality TV and having a podcast? Oh God. I mean so much. So the podcast is 100% me. It's on my terms. It's what I want to talk about when I want to do it. It is all on my schedule and how much I want to say or what I don't want to talk about. I have complete control. And that for me is an absolute dream. I love that. Where with reality TV,
Starting point is 00:21:09 it's not, you know, it's a production schedule. You know, you have to be at so and, you know, wherever at such and such time, you know, you don't really kind of get to decide what you're talking about. You know, there's storylines. You got to keep the story moving. It's set up situations. You might have to film with people you don't necessarily want to film with. It's, you know, oh, let's have the same conversation five times. But, you know, a few different ways. It's a job. Reality TV is a job. And yes, my podcast is a job, but it doesn't feel like a job. Reality TV, people think you literally just show up and there's cameras and they're just filming your life. It is not like that at all. It is very structured. And, you know, even the Hills and well, all of the shows I've done,
Starting point is 00:21:49 Very Cavallari included is like literally exactly what to say. So that's a job. I love the podcast and I loved reality TV too, but it's just, I could never do it now. I could never do it now. We're like the podcast for me is a dream. OK, what is a red flag when it comes to sex? Oh, the guy never trying to get you off, I'd say, you know, like I think it's the guy's responsibility to be like, did you come? Are you going to come before he comes? Right. Like, hello. What about us? That's important. I think a guy who only wants to have sex from behind, like there's no, listen, there's a time and place for that. Like I'm here for that, but there's no intimacy in that.
Starting point is 00:22:37 And so like, I'd say the first time you have sex with a guy, if he instantly like turns you around, it's like, what? Okay. There's, he can't connect emotionally. I think that's a red flag for sure. And then what else? I just think like a guy who's not concerned about getting you off is like, bye. Bye. It's not always about you, bitch. Biggest thing you've learned about yourself in the last year? I think the biggest thing that I've learned about myself in the last year has really been through all of this stuff with Montana, where I've always kind of known this about myself, but this was like a good test for me was I really don't listen to anybody else. You know, I live my life for me and I do
Starting point is 00:23:21 what I want to do and what I think is best for me. And when I mean anybody else, of course I listen to my friends. I listen to my family, but I mean like outside perspectives, like it doesn't matter. And you know, I've always known like, I've done a good job of not really letting negativity get to me, but like I really learned through all of the Montana stuff, like I can rise above it. And like, actually I was really proud of myself for not letting it get to me and being like, you guys can't rock me, man. Like I'm happy. And no one could say, and still can't say anything that's going to change my mind about him or my situation. And, and that felt and feels really good to know, like, I've fucking got this. That's a nice feeling. That's a really good feeling.
Starting point is 00:24:14 How do you know if you met the one? So, I mean, gosh, I'm no relationship expert, but I think, I think meeting the one is someone that you can't live without. Someone that makes you feel really good, that just puts your best interest in mind and builds you up, right? Makes you feel like you can conquer anything in this world. Then someone who feels really safe, like some, like no one who's in competition with you or like threatening, like it needs to feel like home. And I actually think it can be easy. I think a really good relationship can be easy, which is also something I've had to learn. But I think it's like someone you like quite literally cannot live without. Yeah. Oh, no. That's a good question, though, because that's one that I've kind of like on
Starting point is 00:25:09 TikTok, you know, whatever your algorithm is, that comes up on my feed quite a bit. Like, how do you know? How the fuck do you know? That's kind of the gist that I've gotten, though. But I think it's ultimately like, yeah, someone that feels like home. Okay. Tips for staying fit during pregnancy. So I think the biggest thing is staying fit should not be your biggest goal, right? Like, yeah. Do you want to feel good and, you know, still be active? Okay. I totally get that because I was like that, But I actually looked at my pregnancies as an opportunity to kind of not care so much and have some fun and indulge a little bit more because I was like, you know, this is such a short window in my life. When else am I going to be able to just like eat all the cupcakes or like eat all the pasta that I want? And while saying that, you still
Starting point is 00:26:01 want to give your body and your baby really good nutrition. But I do think it's a time where like, have a little bit of fun. I think as long as you are staying active and eating relatively clean for the most part, and just making sure you're getting all the nutrients, you'll be fine. I really think you'll be fine. And I think you should enjoy it. I just think you should. I think if you're worried about gaining weight and like stressed out about it, you're just already setting yourself up for failure because then you're going to feel guilty.
Starting point is 00:26:33 You're just, it's just a shitty way to be. Relax and enjoy it. That's what I say. I think we need to stop being so hard on ourselves when it comes to like diet and exercise. Like fucking enjoy it a little bit because guys, that's where the beauty is. Telling you, it's where the beauty is when you don't, when you're not so worked up about it. It's where the magic happens.
Starting point is 00:26:59 Okay, I'm excited to talk to you guys about quints. Summer is here and your wardrobe needs an upgrade, right? Instead of a flimsy fast fashion haul, spend your money wisely on high quality essentials that will last beyond the season. Quince is my spot for quiet luxury without paying luxury prices. Starting point is 00:28:35 Here's a brand that we all know and love, and that is Facebook. On Facebook, I don't just scroll mindlessly. That's one thing that I love so much about Facebook is that you can further your interests beyond the scroll and into real life. So for example, if you guys are interested in cooking, like you all know that I am, you guys can find different Facebook groups that have similar interests. So cooking is great because you can all make similar recipes like this chicken piccata recipe that my Facebook group and I just made. And then you share it and then you can talk about what you loved or didn't love about it. And I always find it fascinating the different ways that people do their food styling. I'm a horrible food stylist, so that's why I love sharing images of food so that I can get better ideas. And again, I mean,
Starting point is 00:29:20 you don't have to be into cooking. You can really find a Facebook group for just about anything, whether it be traveling, fashion, home decor, gardening. I mean, the sky's the limit with this stuff. There are people who are into every single thing, so nothing is off limits. Another thing I love so much about it is that the people on Facebook are real. The people behind the content are real. And that just makes me so happy that it's not some AI character. They also have marketplace where you can buy items from people just like you who are interested in the same things. Again, with cooking, it's really great because there's different cooking utensils and little gadgets, which I am obsessed with. I am such a sucker for a new kitchen utensil. So you guys, I would really encourage you to make some reels. You can share them. And again, it's just another way to find community and build these groups of
Starting point is 00:30:10 people. And you get to share all of your similar interests, which is really fun. So see where it will take you. So guys tap into the people on Facebook to fuel the things you're interested in. If you want to discover more, visit Facebook. Parents, here's one that you're going to love, and that is Haya. Typical children's vitamins are basically just candy in disguise, filled with two teaspoons of sugar, unhealthy chemicals, and other gummy junk that growing kids should just never eat. That's why Haya was created, the pediatrician-approved, super-powered, chewable vitamin. Haya fills in the most common gaps in modern children's diets to provide the full-body nourishment our kids need with a yummy taste they love.
Starting point is 00:30:50 Formulated with the help of nutritional experts, Haya is pressed with a blend of 12 organic fruits and veggies, then supercharged with 15 essential vitamins and minerals, including vitamin D, B12, C, zinc, folate, and many others to help support immunity, energy, brain function, mood, concentration, teeth, bones, and so much more. It's non-GMO, vegan, dairy-free, allergy-free, gelatin-free, nut-free, and everything else you could possibly imagine. Hyatt is designed for kids of all ages, and it's sent straight to your door so parents have one less thing to worry about. And that's honestly my favorite part of it is that they just show up in the mail. So you don't have to go out and get them. You're never lacking for any. And my kids love them. I never have to
Starting point is 00:31:33 badger them about eating these. And as a parent, you know, that sometimes is the biggest battle. So guys, I've worked out a special deal with Haya for their best-selling children's vitamin. Receive 50% off your first order. To claim this deal, you must go to hayahealth.com slash honest. Where do you see yourself in five years? God, I don't know. I don't think like that anymore. I used to like, I used to think like that all the time. I'd be like, okay, in two years, I'm going to do this. In five years, I'm going to do this. And then in 10 years, I'm going to have accomplished X, Y, and Z. I've kind of let all of that go. God, five years. So in five years, I mean, oh my God, my kids will be getting older. Camden will be about to leave the house. I'll only have a couple more years with kids in the house.
Starting point is 00:32:40 You know, okay, five years, I want to be with my kids as much as possible. They might not want to hang out with me at that point because they're all going to be in high school. But I want to be in in their lives as much as possible. And I will still have uncommon James. And I kind of just like I picture my life is just like making dinner every night. I just want to be a mom. I want to be a mom and I don't know, maybe be a wife. I don't know. That's all I, that's all I envisioned myself in the next five years. I just like have this vision of me like in my kitchen, in my home. I'm just like with kids running around like in and out, like, you know, their schedules are busy, but it's just like, still like calm. Like I just
Starting point is 00:33:21 see myself as like feeling very grounded and calm. And I like that a lot, actually. So I don't know. TBD. Favorite tattoo. So I have 10 little tattoos, little, little. And they're all just kind of like randomly on my body. But my favorite one I think is on my arm. This is kind of looks like a wave, but it's CJS for my kids. And like
Starting point is 00:33:48 in cursive, it's like really fine point cursive. And I just, I don't know. I just love that one. I like the placement of it. I like that it's my kids. I don't know. Yeah. I just, I like how delicate it is too. I like that one a lot. I'm trying to think what all of my tattoos are. Yeah. I kind of want to get more too. I really, I got my first two tattoos. I was 19 or 20. Got the Capricorn symbol on the back of my neck and a star on my foot, which is like, why? And then I really didn't get any for a while. And then, then, and then just the last few years I started getting more and I'm kind of into it right now. And I kind of want to get a few more, but I'm also like, oh, just chill. I don't know. I don't know. Because I don't know what I would get. So my philosophy with tattoos is don't get anything that can change, right? Like a man's name,
Starting point is 00:34:42 for example. I actually, okay, actually the first tattoo I ever got was my ex-boyfriend's initials on my wrist. Thank God for tattoo removal. I was 19. I did it sober in New Orleans. And I remember my dad read it in a tabloid and he called me and he was like, so what happens when you guys break up? And I was like, we're not going to break up, dad. You know, when you're 19 and you're just like, this is my forever. Broke up probably what a couple months later. And then I had to get, I think it was like eight or nine laser treatments to get this fucking thing off. Thank God you really, you can't see it at all. So thank God for laser treatment. But so just don't get stuff that can change. Like I will always be a Capricorn. These will always be my kids. I have
Starting point is 00:35:22 my kids astrological signs. Like that's never going to change, you know? Your morning routine. Okay. So my summer morning routine is very different than my school year morning routine. But summer morning routine is wake up. Do you guys know what tongue scraping is? If you don't, look it up, get them because it's awesome. You can get, I have a copper one. You scrape your them because it's awesome. You can get, well, I have a copper one. You scrape your tongue because it's all the bacteria that collects in your mouth while you sleep. So you want to get that off right away. Brush my teeth, throw on a sweatshirt, let the dogs out. And then I kind of just like get breakfast going. Coffee, you know, breakfast, coffee. I love a lazy morning. My kids are sleeping in right now. Like that is so nice when your kids
Starting point is 00:36:07 start sleeping in. Oh, that is heaven. So I usually have a minute to myself in the morning, which is really nice. I should be meditating. I should fully take advantage of that, but I'm not, I'm just kind of like, whatever, you know, I'm, I like my just kind of like quiet morning. So I'll usually check some emails and stuff, feed the dogs. And then I slowly will put on my workout stuff. And then I usually work out, well, make my kids breakfast, you know, when they wake up and whatnot, and then work out. And, you know, then we're kind of off and running with the day. The school mornings are hectic. I wake up at six. I pack lunches. I make breakfast for the kids and me make coffee. And then it's usually like, you know, we're racing out the door at like 725,
Starting point is 00:36:51 730. And then I drop them off and then I come home and clean up the kitchen. If I didn't before, sometimes I am able to before we go to school and then change workout, you know, kind of done the same thing. So I just, to me, there is nothing better than a slow, lazy morning. That's heaven. In fact, I love sitting on my front porch. I've got these porch swings and having coffee out there. I was like a warm summer morning with coffee. It's like heaven. I love it. Last question. Are you in Montana considering living together? No, it's not really something that's come up right now. I think, you know, we've talked about the future, but we're just really enjoying each other right now and kind of taking it day by day. I think mentally in my mind where I'm at is like, and I've, I said this a few months ago on the podcast, but I'm going to like, let's get through
Starting point is 00:37:49 summer. And then I'm going to kind of reassess and just kind of see where we're at and we'll go from there. And you know, at the end of the summer, let's call it the end of August, you know, we might say, okay, cool. This has been great. We're having so much fun. And like, we're, you know, this, like, we see a future here, but like, let's give it another six months and then let's see where we are then. Like, I don't, I don't know, but that's kind of where I'm at right now is just like taking it day by day, taking it slowly, but no, like we're not, no, we're not living together anytime soon. But we will see. I don't know. Sometimes I eat my words. So thank you guys so much for submitting all of your
Starting point is 00:38:31 questions. They're always fun. I love doing these these episodes. So appreciate you guys listening. And I hope you all are enjoying your summer and getting outside and just loving life right now. Summer's my favorite time of year. So I'm just a happy girl. So thank you guys. I'll see you next week.
