Episode Date: October 26, 2025

Welcome back to Ask Uncut where we answer your deep and burning questions! Laura has left Lola traumatised with a video she’s seen on her phone! Britt has a new idea of what she wants done with ...her body once she dies.Vibes and Unsubscribes for the week:Britt -Victoria Beckham on Netflix Keeshia - Unsubscribe The Woman in Cabin 10 on NetflixVibe - @mylawn_coLaura - The Traitors UK Season 4   Then we jump into your questions! SHOULD I HAVE A THREESOME WITH A COUPLE I JUST MET?Should I try to have a threesome with a couple I just met? I am currently on holiday and I have met an Australian couple who live near me back home. I really get along with them and my mind keeps wondering about the possibility of having a threesome with them. I’ve always been curious but not interested in having a threesome when I’m in a relationship. Should I go for it? And if so, how do I even approach this topic with them? (For context they are about 8 years older than me) FRIEND BOOKED OUR ACCOM WITH SHOPBACK- SHOULD I GET HALF? My friend and I are going on holiday together and we travel well together. We both are in good paying jobs however she has worked full time for around 2 years more than me. When booking our accommodation (which we looked for and decided together) she said she was happy to book and when I asked her to send the email confirmation to me for my records I could see that she used the shopback app. Now I love the app and use it all the time, but booking accommodation that’s approximately more than $1000 and getting 10% off that is a reasonable discount. Am I weird for finding it a bit uncomfortable that she will receive $100 cashback whilst I will pay full price? LOUD SNIFFER - CAN I OFFER A TISSUE?If someone is loudly sniffling incessantly on the train (and driving me f*cking insane), is it rude to offer them a tissue? Or is that taking passive aggressive one step too far?BESTIE IS DATING SOMEONE I USED TO HOOK UP WITH AND WANTS TO ALL HANG OUTMy best friend matched with someone on Tinder a while ago. They spoke a bit and she told me about him. I worked out that we had hooked up a number of years ago. We spoke for a bit and got together a few times but nothing progressed. She originally said she wouldn’t pursue him because it was weird, but then asked if it would bother me if they hooked up. I was fine with it. She was very adamant that it would only be sex. Fast forward a few months later, they are now almost exclusive. I’m not upset or ‘bothered’ by it, but I do find it very uncomfortable and awkward. She wants us all to go out on a ‘double date’ but my partner and I find it to be very awkward. Am I bad friend for not hanging out all together? Do I need to suck it up because I said it was okay? Idk how I’m going to do friendmas with someone I’ve banged that’s not dating my bestfriend?? Starting point is 00:00:00 This episode was recorded on Camaragal land. Hi guys and welcome back to another episode of Life Uncut. I'm Laura. I'm Brittany. I have missed saying that. I know I haven't been. I'm Laura. Well I haven't been gone for very long but I miss, no, doing the intro. It's been, guys I've been sitting at home watching a lot of TV. I have some fucking good vibes. It's been two weeks but we missed you, We miss you. This is Ask Uncut where we answer your questions. It is.
Starting point is 00:00:32 Usually, I mean, it's kind of been like the thing this entire year. I don't think I've brought a single TV series to our vibes and unsubscribes, not a single one because I don't. And now you're going to blow your load. It's a lot. I've brought like an episode but not a series because I don't watch series. I don't have time to watch series. I think that's a lot.
Starting point is 00:00:48 Have a think. Which one? We're like 11 months deep. I'm pretty sure you've probably brought a TV series. You're lying to your teeth. I'm exaggerating. Okay, but I don't watch TV series because I don't have time to watch them. It wouldn't be like us to add a bit of mayo to a story.
Starting point is 00:01:00 And if I have vibed a TV series, I'm going to, like, tell you the truth. I didn't fucking watch it all because I don't think I've watched an entire TV series this whole year. I don't think you should out yourself. But this postpartum period has been really good for just, like, couch rotting. I've sat on the couch covered in, like, breast milk. It's also particularly muggy in Sydney at the moment,
Starting point is 00:01:19 so I just feel like I'm, like, ruminating in my own liquid sitting on the couch watching TV. Like every 17-year-old boy. Ew. Oh, it's true. What? Or image 17. Think about it.
Starting point is 00:01:29 Think it through. Oh, God. All right. Well, look, before we get into Ask Uncut, before we get into answering your questions, I traumatized Lola. So the other day we were out at dinner and Lola at the moment is really into recording herself on my phone. Like she records little videos of her talking.
Starting point is 00:01:46 You guys might remember the video that she did when we told her that we were having a baby and she was like, hi, everyone. Yes. She's an influencer in the making. Literally. She looks like she watches Little Content Queen. It's actually frightening for a four-year-old. Anyway, I thought she was just, like, looking through photos and stuff
Starting point is 00:02:02 in my phone and looking through her own little videos that she'd made. And she turns to me and she's like, Mom, I need to talk to you. And I was like, what's wrong, sweetie? Horrified. Absolutely fucking horrified. And I was like, what's wrong? What's happened? Like, what did you see in my phone?
Starting point is 00:02:18 Thinking, oh, God. You were like, is my last OnlyFans in there? No, because I deleted kids' YouTube. Like, they don't have access to anything else on phones, only the camera. And she goes, I never want to have a baby. And then I realized she'd flicked through my camera roll and she'd seen all the birth photos.
Starting point is 00:02:38 Does she know? She literally saw me taking Poppy out of myself, covered in blood. She saw the whole thing. She is traumatized. Of course she is. Traumatized. She's like, I don't want a baby. Fair enough.
Starting point is 00:02:52 She just saw something come out of where you do a weave. Yeah, yeah. So it's been an education piece because they already knew that babies come out of your vagina, but not how. They didn't know the how. To be fair, I'd probably be traumatized if I saw that on your phone. Do you want to see it? I'll show you.
Starting point is 00:03:06 You did show me your first birth. Yeah, I'll see it. Nah, it's just too much. I knew it. I called you bluff. I'm a little bit intrigued, but I don't know if I could look at you the same. I can't. I feel like I'm breaching some sort of HR employee code if I show you my literal vagina
Starting point is 00:03:19 with a head hanging out of it. You showed me Marley. And I think it was because it was like baby one and it was exciting. And yeah, I saw some stuff. Were you like, Oh God, do you know what was some, something that it caused like a bit of an uproar in my family. And I still don't know if I was in the right or in the wrong. So my parents got divorced when I was like 15, I moved away when I was 18.
Starting point is 00:03:37 And I remember I would have been about 21 by this point. And my dad was kind of saying to me, like, you've lived out of home for three years now. Like I need you to clean up your shit that's here. Like you've got all this stuff that's here. Can you go through it? Can you get rid of it? It's taking up too much space. My parents said that to me about a week ago, 37, 8.
Starting point is 00:03:55 And I remember at one time when I went back home, I kind of cleared out a whole bunch of stuff and I only kept what I thought was like genuinely really important or somehow sentimental. And a part of what I got rid of was my birthing VCR. Like it was on a video. In my head, I was like, we don't even have a VCR player anymore. Like I don't even, even if I wanted to see this, which I wouldn't, I don't know how I would see this. And when I told my dad that I'd gotten rid of it he was really upset with me well when was he gonna watch it that's my point your parents are divorced I was also like I was 21 by this point you haven't watched it since you can't you don't have a device to watch it on now but he was really upset that I'd thrown it out and my mum was
Starting point is 00:04:39 a bit annoyed as well I think it's because that's one of those things that you've held on to for so long that like he's held on to that thinking that it might be sentimental to you at some point and then for you to be so like just like nonchalant about it that kind of hits different watch them come out of their mom's vagina over and over and over again like no one needs to see that it was the 90s as well yeah don't go quality hey well like little switch here i learned something last night we've spoken about this on the podcast before but this is like new and improved version you know how we've spoken about like the weird ways you can cremate yourself and turn yourself into jewelry or like if a family member dies there's all these different like because you
Starting point is 00:05:16 could have cremation we've gone from birthing to cremation end of life start a life to end a life no get this bear with me this is cool I think this is how I want to go you can now instead of like being cremated and turned into jewelry or something like that's cool maybe turn a little bit into jewelry but there are companies now that will package your ashes up into like a a canister and they put it into fireworks and they explode you into the sky. Cremated twice. Yeah, so you go up.
Starting point is 00:05:47 Double crispy. You literally, like everyone could gather and see you off into the sky. Is that not like sort of romantic? Imagine being at the bottom of that and like what's raining down is the dust of granddad. It would be like at Brit's wedding when we all got hit with shrapnel from the fireworks and we'd be like, oh, wonderful, that was Nana. But that's exactly what I'd want to do when I go.
Starting point is 00:06:07 My last thing would be to burn you all as I come down to the ground. I think it's romantic. Why are we coming up with more creative ways to, like, dispose of an already disposed of family member? Like, I think fireworks, not for me. I'd do it. Yeah. Explode me, I don't care. But put a little bit of me into it.
Starting point is 00:06:25 Blow me up, Skye. I'm not against it. It's kind of fun. Yeah, have a huge party, blow me up into the sky, over the ocean, but keep a little bit of me, like, for some jewelry. For a ring, yeah. Or make it an exclusive line for Tony May. All right, Brittany 20, but really you only get 20%. Brittany 20% on there.
Starting point is 00:06:44 All right, guys, let's get into vibes and unsubscribes for the week. Brittany, what is your vibe? My vibe this week is Victoria Beckham documentary, and now it's on Netflix. I'm coming in with a vibe, but at the same time, there are some things I didn't love about it, and I know that doesn't make sense, and I'm going to explain it. If you haven't seen it, Victoria Beckham released her own documentary
Starting point is 00:07:02 about her story and where, like, David is a bit more of the accessory because a year or two ago, we saw David release his documentary and, you know, she had her moments in it as well. Now, when David's documentary was released, I don't know, did you watch it, Lawsy? I haven't. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. That one I've seen. I haven't seen the new one. So when David's was released, I think the whole world saw a different side to Victoria Beckham for the first time. She was very funny. You know, we'd never see her smile. So I think we just saw this really cheeky, playful side and we saw them interact and everyone really frothed her. And so So this documentary I really loved because I think it really humanizes her. You just get to see
Starting point is 00:07:40 who she is at her core. And she's actually a bit of a powerhouse. Like she's, she works really, really hard and now they're extremely unrelatable, but you don't look at them like they're unrelatable. Like when, when they're talking about their story and the money that they've spent, the money that they've lost in business and how much David had to loan her and all of this stuff, as unrelatable as it is, you still really like her and you still just see a side to her where you're like oh you are just someone whilst you have a very privileged life you are still just a normal woman that's out there working hard I really loved it but when I say the parts I didn't love is I didn't think it did her enough justice I don't think that they gave her
Starting point is 00:08:14 as much as I loved her story and learning more about her they dulled her down a lot and I just didn't like that part of it and because we saw those glimpses in David's so we know it's in there but they just lent too much into a bit woe is me and the struggles instead of letting her personality shine through yeah but i thought that she was exactly that person in david's one because it was david who was taking do you remember where she was like we're just average people blue color working family he's like your fucking parents drove around and rolls royce or something like she always tried to play that character and he's the one that leveled her and actually provided the entertainment so i wonder if watching that back you would have the same perspective on it
Starting point is 00:08:50 because i kind of do think she's a bit unrelatable i mean she is she's victoria beckham it's very unrelatable they actually talk about that and there's a few people that have come in with some commentary outside saying that they don't really like the way that David treats her in a way. Like he cherishes the ground she walks on and he loves her unconditionally. They've been married and together for 27 years, but there are a few moments where it looks like he keeps her in a place a little bit. And she addresses that comment in it. And they really were a very normal working class family. And they show all the footage of her life and how much they had to remortgage houses to get her into a dance school. And they really were a normal family. And she says he worked his ass off
Starting point is 00:09:27 and all he ever wanted to buy himself was a nice car. That was his treat. But the way that David had said it in the doco made it sound like you're bullshitting Victoria. You are, you've always been wealthy. They absolutely weren't. Anyway, it's like, there are a lot of people that are either loving it or hating it. I think it was a slightly dulled down, boring version of her, but I still loved the insight into the life and the dynamics. So it's an unusual one. You guys aren't all going to froth it. But, um, I put it on my stories a couple of days ago when I watched it, I was, I was crying in it like I was really emotional in it it's been emotional week for me anyway but it's been a bit of fucking wild ride this week yeah and a lot of people had responded to that
Starting point is 00:10:03 saying I cried at the exact same moment like I loved it so yeah I'd be interested to see how many of you are pro and how many of you are against Keisha what is yours my vibe this week is as we've been speaking about for the last couple weeks Laura I'm not sure if you're aware of this I'm now a lawn girl it's a part of my personality is trying to make my 12 square meters of grass out the back thrive. I feel you. As soon as you have a lawn and you start to care about it, you really do go deep down that rabbit hole. Scott's fertilizer, it'll be your best friend. Well, interesting you say that. When I spoke about it last time, I got a message from a lifer who is also a lawn girly and her and her dad have a business. The Instagram account is
Starting point is 00:10:45 mylawn underscore co. They've got 98,000 followers, so they're not struggling for a follow. People love lawns they have fantastic content and so the daughter who is a lifer does a lot of the socials you can actually get a free beginner's guide from them as well if you like sign up and I purchased I purchased some of this grow granular fertilizer from them it's fantastic it's puppy safe I was messaging in the dms being like is this okay for the dog and I also got some rescue dog wee repair so that's a product that you can put on for where your dog pees and it makes the grass go green instead of going brown and dying. We thought we had army worms, but turns out it was just Buster's really acidic piss all over the garden. Anyway. But yeah, anyway, the account basically
Starting point is 00:11:27 has a lot of tips. Her dad, Dave, is a professional greenskeeper. So, you know, they've obviously got a lot of knowledge. And if you are wanting to do some like lawn maintenance or gardening or that kind of thing, it's a really great account. And we love supporting laughers as well. I know I said I've been watching a lot of TV and I have, and I could give you about seven vibes at the moment, but I'm gonna I'm gonna pace myself the number one though that I'm absolutely obsessed with Keish you have vibed this in the past but it's the new season so it's worth the top up it is the UK Traitors season number four the casting of this is absolutely brilliant and it's been doing so well on streaming that channel 10 is actually going to play the entire series
Starting point is 00:12:06 of the UK version in Australia one or the celeb one it's the celeb one so it has Alan Carr who is an amazing comedian. It has Paloma in it, who is a singer from the UK as well. The casting is just fucking brilliant. There's quite a few comedians. They are so, so funny. If you don't know what Traders is, I mean, I'm sure you do, but if you don't, it's a reality TV show. It's kind of based around a murder mystery type situation. And there are a whole lot of what they call faithfuls and there are three traders and they have to try and flush out who the traders are. The only thing I'm going to tell you about this season is that they're doing a really bad job of figuring out who the traitors are thus far and the traitors that have been cast are
Starting point is 00:12:47 exceptional so get amongst it watch it it's on streaming but if you want to watch it when it starts playing on channel 10 the reason why i think also channel 10 has put it on is because we have our own australian one coming soon as well they've just released a whole aussie cast so you can actually go and see that online it's a lot of reality tv but could be good i was so excited for it if you want to watch the new season it is on paramount plus there's already a couple of episodes that are up but it comes out on a Thursday and a Friday so in alignment with when it's released in the UK and it's really annoying because every week you have to wait for more and I hate that about a series. Let's get into the question. Okay question number one. Should I
Starting point is 00:13:24 have a threesome with a couple I just met? This is the million dollar question. I'm currently on holiday and I met an Australian couple who live near me back home. I really get along with them and my mind just keeps wondering about the possibility of having a threesome with them. I've always been curious but not that interested in having a threesome when I'm in a relationship so do I go for it and if so how do I even approach this topic with them for context they are eight years older than me that's not the context we need we need to know if they're keen how do you okay okay when this question first came in I was like oh it must be a given that they've shown interest in the concept of having a threesome and I said to Brie I was like surely
Starting point is 00:14:05 they've given some sort of indication which is the reason why you whoever's written this in is like oh okay like how do i you know like i've never thought about a threesome but like this seems like a good idea but let me go away and think about it it's your last line that's really thrown us because you wrote and if so how do i even approach this topic with them which makes us think that potentially they have not given you any indication that they want to have a threesome with you and you just want to bring it up i think they are innocent in this situation i think they I have no idea. I want to defend her.
Starting point is 00:14:34 I reckon they've given her the spidey senses. No, I think they've given spidey senses, but I don't think that they've brought up the idea of a threesome. I think they might have maybe seemingly been a bit flirty. Yeah. But have they? Okay. No, because you would know.
Starting point is 00:14:47 You can't write this in and then say, how would I even bring it up? I think she just wants to bang him. I don't think it's been a conversation because you wouldn't be saying, how do I bring it up? You'd be saying, yeah, let's bang. I have a question for you, though, before we answer this. I haven't and I'm not. No, no.
Starting point is 00:15:00 how do I have a threesome with you and Ben no how would or how would you react if you were away on holidays with Ben you met a girl who was you know I don't know why the eight years older thing is important but it seems like I need to reference it a girl who's eight years younger than you is someone that you've met at breakfast you guys have been chatting you had drinks one night like you know she seems great maybe she's attractive like you do objectively think she's attractive but also like you're there with your husband just a big hypothetical no because I want to know how you would react if someone out of what felt like the blue to you was like hey i've been thinking about it want to have a threesome with me i'd say am i on candid camera what oh my god please tell
Starting point is 00:15:39 me you know what candid camera is i do but i just don't know why the fuck you said it because i would think i'm being punked that's my point i'd be like if out of the blue someone was like hey we should probably do it and i was like do what they're like threesome i'd be like oh this is i'm being filmed this is a prank that's what i would think if there was nothing to indicate that ben If we weren't on a swingers boat or at a swingers club and it was a normal night out and a girl was hitting me up on the spot for a threesome, that would be weird to me. But how would you react is more my question. What would you do?
Starting point is 00:16:07 Would you be offended? Would you be flattered? I wouldn't be offended. I'd be flattered for sure. Would it impact your ability to continue to hang out with her? Yes. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:15 If you just said you want to fuck my husband. She wants to fuck you too. Well, that's worse. That's for me. I don't want to. But no, I would be flattered. It doesn't make me uncomfortable at all. I would be flattered.
Starting point is 00:16:25 But I wouldn't want to hang out for the preceding days and I don't want to catch up with you when I get back home because you've said you want to have sex with us. The context is the funny thing here for me. The last line where she says, for context, they're eight years older than me. I think the context around this that we needed more was like, what about it gave you the indication? And maybe you just didn't write it to us.
Starting point is 00:16:45 Like maybe there was some flirting and some things that were said. And then in that case, I think that the best thing to do is, I don't think it's something you can just straight up say. having said that I've not done it right so I think that you would go back and try to hang out with them and pick up the vibe I don't think I think it's something you don't just jump into a threesome especially when you live near each other it is something that I think you have to ease into and feel out and then when you do do it there are rules that people set and there's discussions you need to have with the three of you and I kind of feel a little bit differently to you about this
Starting point is 00:17:16 because firstly one you don't know these people they're strangers to you even if they live kind of in the same area you're never going to see them again and even if you do who cares you don't know them. Number two. I don't think that's true. Think of us living in the same area. We run, like if it was Bondi, you run into people all the time. But you can also easily avoid them. Like I run into my ex. I'm not affected by it. I just ignore him and walk, walk away. You know what I mean? So it's the same kind of thing. You don't, it doesn't have to be somebody that rules your life. They're not your friends. It's not like you're trying to hit up your best friend and her boyfriend. Like that would be a bit different. These are strangers who you've met on a holiday
Starting point is 00:17:46 who mean nothing to you. So I would say my approach would be if you are picking up a vibe and you are having drinks and stuff together, my question probably to her more so than to them as a couple, because I think that that's less intimidating would be, have you guys ever had a threesome? Gauge it. If she says, Oh my God, no, like absolutely not. Then you're going to know that it's not happening. But if she's like, yeah, or no, we've, but we've thought about it. Like she's going to open that up if that's something that they're interested in. So that would be my absolute in there, but I certainly wouldn't just be, I wouldn't be hanging out with them in an unending way trying to flirt but with no indication or not really knowing where I'm
Starting point is 00:18:25 going with it I would hang out with them but then I would you know at some point bring up that question with her privately and if it gets shut no I would not be I would not be can I have a word no you're at a bar you're getting a drink and then you're like I have a question for you guys if you guys have had the reason and then she can interpret that however she wants to and I think that that is very it's not direct it's not asking for it to be with you but you're gauging how is her reaction to that I agree with that but that also can't come out of nowhere that your conversation has to be there but my understanding in these situations is usually it comes from the couple it doesn't usually come from singles floating around looking for couples it usually
Starting point is 00:19:01 comes from couples that know they want to bring a third person into their relationship so I think you would know if they're giving you that sign it's very rarely the other way where a single person just goes up to a couple that are on a romantic holiday to float it if it's not like that kind of a holiday I don't know I've been asked a couple of times and so like not to put tickets on myself I've been in situations I used to party a lot by couples by couples and it was always the like I knew them you know it wasn't the first time that we'd been hanging out for I was about to say both occasions I actually think there might be three separate couples wow you know I don't know why I give off those vibes I've actually never had a threesome but
Starting point is 00:19:38 that was mostly because it just wasn't a fantasy of mine and so when you say this I now feel offended because I've never been asked. I don't know what environments you were putting yourself in. I've been asked. But you were also in relationships. This is obviously when I was single. So no, I got asked by my boyfriend. He was always like, Hey, let's have a threesome. Yeah. And when I said no, he just did it without me. Yeah. That's, that's another story. But it was always the woman in the relationship that would kind of bring it up with me when it was just exactly like you said, Laura, just the two of us. It was always floated as a, have you ever done this? Is it something that you're interested in? It's just to get the spidey senses. And I was
Starting point is 00:20:14 like, no, I haven't. And it's not really something that I've thought much about. And then I realized what the first time it happened, I realized what was going on. And I was like, oh, just so you know, I'm not interested in that. And we laughed it off and we carried on with the rest of the night and we had a great time and it wasn't awkward. Yeah, but they're your friends and that came from the couple. It's not you going up to them saying, hey, you want to have a threesome? But I think it would be the same. It depends on how you, I think it's the delivery. I think it depends on how you approach it I would recommend making it less serious you know like just float it as a fun thing that have you ever done this are you interested just like Laura said it's funny to
Starting point is 00:20:47 me that you find it easier with a friend Brit because I think the fact that they're a stranger and you owe them nothing you're never gonna see them again if something does become uncomfortable is more problematic like to me I would have way more confidence to ask that question of a complete stranger than to ask that question of a friend who I would have to hang out with again and and they know that i want to fuck them i would find it the relationships changed but it's just it's here's where i think we're different right that to me is a question friends like you just said said to another friend have you ever had a threesome i would ask both of you that that doesn't mean i if the answer is not what i wanted it doesn't mean i want to have sex with you it's
Starting point is 00:21:22 just a question you'd ask friends but you can tell the difference if there's intention there's an eyebrow raise there's like a pause of i just think and maybe we're all overthinking it i just think there would be signs there will be vibes if they are interested and then if you're picking those up then sure you live once go for it but it's very bold is what i'm saying if they're just a couple on holiday and there's no there's been no sign you know what a vibe is you know if there's flirting and we can't be getting to this age and not be able to read between those lines yet we've misinterpreted it before yeah i i disagree i think a lot of people misinterpret flirting i think some I think a lot of men misinterpret flirting as just like kindness or like any sort of attention gets
Starting point is 00:22:04 misinterpreted as flirting. I think sometimes it's tricky to read, but in this specific interest around holidays, nothing is going to happen if you get rejected here. Like nothing bad's going to happen. You're going to get on with your life. You're going to be like, wow, remember that time I thought I wanted to have a threesome with that couple? I think shoot your shot, whatever. What are you going to lose? If you want to, and you're thinking about it, give it a crack. If it doesn't work out, tell us. If it does, tell us. I want to know regardless. I need more information. Eight years old is not enough for me. Please tell us how this goes down or how it went down if it's already gone down. Like you might be doing it right now as we speak. I don't
Starting point is 00:22:40 know. But can you please write in this as an aftermath because I just need to know what happened. All right. Next question. This one I have some very strong feelings about, but it's also, it's not that serious, but I think I'm going to take it seriously and I apologize. All right. My friend and I are going on a holiday together and we travel well together. we both are in good paying jobs however she has worked full-time for around two years more than me so she just has more money in savings when booking our accommodation which we looked for and decided on together she said that she was really happy to book it all and when I asked her to send the email confirmation to me for my records I can see that she used the shop back app
Starting point is 00:23:19 now I love that app and I use it all the time but booking accommodation that's approximately more than a thousand dollars and getting a 10% off, which is a reasonable discount. She got a hundred dollars off our mutual booking. 50 bucks each. Yeah. Is it weird for finding it very uncomfortable that she will receive a hundred dollars cash back whilst she expects me to pay the full price? Yes, the title. So she's paid a thousand. She was like, I'll book it. Paid a thousand dollars, gotten a hundred dollars off, which $50 of that is your discount. And she's just expected you to pay her the $500. Nah, I'd be saying, hey, slip me that fitty. You can get that. That's your money. You can't just be like... Also, if you're booking something on discount as a friend
Starting point is 00:24:01 and also in a mutual booking, I think it is wild that you would think you get to keep the entirety of the discount. Although, props to her. She tried. Do you think it was intentional? Do you think it was an intentional $100 savings? Or do you think she just used the shot back on everything and didn't really think about it? I don't think it's malicious. Like, how do I scam my friend of a hundred bucks I just think she's gone to use a shop back app you have to realize it tells you like shop back's great you literally get money back like this is not sponsored but we wish it was because they do sponsor from time to time yeah they should sponsor us but you like you pay for something and you can literally get cash back now the cash back goes into like your account on an
Starting point is 00:24:35 app but you can still you it's still money back like she still saved a hundred dollars I don't think it's intentional but you do need to give that fifty dollars back to your friend now the question is is do you bring it up with her do you raise it and say hey you know how I transferred you $500 for the holiday. Could you actually just hit me back that $50 you got from cashback? Because that's the problem, right? We all know it's cooked. We all know that what she's done is not right. And obviously like she's not entitled to a $50 bonus just for booking. Ooh, could it be admin fees though? If you're the person who has to do the booking. Not even the cross city tunnel charges $50 for an admin fee. That's a $10 fee if you forget to
Starting point is 00:25:09 pay your tolls. It's annoying when you're the one who has to book everything. Maybe she thinks she's entitled to it. I would just say, oh, bargain, you saved a hundred bucks. Let's throw that in for a dinner one night. That's going to cover a dinner one night, something like that. This one's on you. You know why you took my 50 bucks. No, it's literally, you literally, if you've seen the receipt, right? Like you've seen the screenshot or whatever, cause she's asked for it. She not, everyone knows. So I would just be like, oh, how good you saved a hundred bucks. Like how good's that? That'll cover our dinner one night. I have another question for you. And do you guys think it's cheeky or fine? So often if you go out
Starting point is 00:25:39 for a big group dinner there's one person in the group who like lives their life by points right like maybe they've got a fucking black amex card or they've got some sort of card that anytime they pay on their card they get really good or aggressive points do you think it's a fair situation where someone's like oh i'm gonna pay for everyone you guys just transfer me because they want to use their credit card for the points i think that's fine and i often think that uh in that situation the person who pays always ends up having to pay a little bit more because you get like so people will just transfer you it's like when you do a group dinner or something people will just transfer you for the price of their meal and they will not include things like service
Starting point is 00:26:17 charges or like additional things that are put on top so whenever I've been the person to pay I've always ended up paying more and I don't get points I'm not a points girlie I have found I mean I actually don't care because it doesn't affect my life because I don't have points anyway but I've found recently it's happened a few times and it's been people who have like their work cards and they're like oh we'll just pay for everything but everyone's splitting the bill evenly so it's like to say it's a thousand dollar bill and everyone's paying 250 or 200 that's absolutely not the maths i've not gone out for a 250 meal in so fucking long but for the ease of doing maths and it's been split evenly but it's like but you're getting all the points it doesn't
Starting point is 00:26:53 you're getting a kick back on this yeah but if you don't have points maybe i want them anyway but you don't have them right so if you've got a card and you get your points you literally just say hey now i'll get mine i'll get the points but if not if there's four people one person has points and three don't let them get the points for your friend yeah but also I'm like let me just pace then I don't have to go through the inconvenience having to fucking transfer you money and remember and all that sort of shit yeah I think it's fine all right but I also get I get points as well so it's fine that's why I pay for everything to be fair the more that I think about it if it's a good friend of yours that you travel with a lot I actually think it's a fine thing to just say
Starting point is 00:27:29 like hey hun I saw that you got 100 bucks back on shop back like do you reckon that you can transfer the 50 that I overpaid I actually think you can do that like I know at the start I was like this is awkward it's 50 bucks it's not 10 bucks it's not six dollars like it's 50 dollars is a considerable amount of money yeah I just think it was the holiday in 2023 or was it last week that's the problem okay next question we've never had this one before I really really would love your advice Laura if someone is loudly sniffing incessantly on the train Laura can you take this seriously sorry this is somebody's ask on heart sorry if somebody of all that we get sent fucking hundreds of questions a week of all the questions i love these this is how we ended up
Starting point is 00:28:15 okay if someone is snipping loudly on the train and it is driving me fucking insane keeping in mind it's quite a long train ride is it rude to offer them a tissue or is that taking passive aggressive one step too far i think it's fine i think it's absolutely fine so here's here's a scene you're on train laura and you're the whole time which you do i do it okay yeah i have but you know what this is oh don't go the sinus oh i do i have tiny sinuses i'm supposed to have that surgery where they drill out the inside of your holes she goes i'm supposed to have that surgery where i come out like gg had did you know this is how this is how conditioned i am from my husband I literally was like, I suppose I have that surgery that drills out the inside of your
Starting point is 00:28:59 holes. And then Matt, Matt's narrator voice was like, I'll drill out your hole. That's literally what just happened in my brain in real time. To be fair, that's what my brain went to as well. That's what Matt would say. Anyway, no, look, I do. And I do this. And you know, you know who else does it?
Starting point is 00:29:12 I don't care who else does it. Marlee May, who also has very tiny sinuses. Do you know what? Maybe she doesn't have tiny sinuses. Maybe she's just learned it from you. Or maybe she's been to a specialist who's been told she has tiny sinuses. Has she x-rayed her sinuses? I have it.
Starting point is 00:29:28 My sister has it. My mum has it. It's a hereditary thing. Set the scene. Laura, who sniffs all day. She's on the train. She's sniffing, sniffing, sniffing, sniffing. If somebody next to you didn't say a word, locked eyes with you,
Starting point is 00:29:39 leant over and handed you a tissue and like willed you to take it with their eyes, what are you doing and how do you feel? Okay, I think that they would say, hey, would you like a tissue? In which case I would say, no, I have tiny sinuses. No, it's hereditary. Leave me alone. And my daughter has tiny sinuses too. And so does my sister-in-law.
Starting point is 00:29:57 And so does my mum. So fuck you, Sally. I would be, to be fair though, if I'm on a train by myself, I am not sitting there rudely making noise and snorting. Laura's like, oh, this is my stop. It's the middle of the desert. She's like, here I am. Like, I'm just not doing it.
Starting point is 00:30:15 I know I do it in front of you because I'm so comfortable, guys, and I love you so much. I feel safe in this studio. No, I'm fine. I wouldn't do it on public transport. And I do think that some people have zero awareness of their bodily functions in a space where it affects others. If you are the whole time on a train, I think it's okay for someone to say, oh, sorry, did you want a tissue? But do it in a non-accusatory way.
Starting point is 00:30:42 Don't be like, do you want a tissue, you fuck? I think it's fine. I mean, it is fine. If you have to sniff, you have to sniff. No one can come for you for that. either the snot's going to run out of your nose down your face well they obviously are but I do think it's fine to offer a tissue but they don't have to accept it and I think that that's the difference I don't know if I'd accept a tissue on a rogue train from a stranger like what if it's
Starting point is 00:31:05 been roofied or something you know chloroform you know when you put what you know I've watched too much true crime you know when someone kidnaps someone and they put chloroform over their face and they go to sleep what if someone had done that on tissue there's a lot of awful things I haven't on trains guys this took a dark turn unfortunately this is one of the pains of being in public and on public transport sniffing is clearly something that absolutely drives you insane for me chewing gum and I know I've said it before I cannot handle the smell of chewing gum or the sound of someone clicking chewing gum in their mouth it's hereditary it is hereditary my mum it's also been diagnosed in Bali as well no genuinely it is it's your ick yeah it was a really
Starting point is 00:31:48 funny one for you and I Keisha at the start of like our friendship when you started working for us as well because Keisha loves chewing chewing gum like you love it you'll chew chewing gum all day and like I can't be in the car with Keisha if she's chewing chewing gum so I'd be like hey Keisha can you please not have chewing gum in the car or can you like not be chewing chewing gum in the studio and for a long time Keisha was like Laura's fucking insane or you'd be like oh sorry but like a bit of an eye roll around it well I was diagnosed with oral fixation what a committable combination this team is plus I actually ended up realizing that I found it quite soothing like I found it you know and I liked fresh breath but yeah I have stopped because I've realized that
Starting point is 00:32:27 my oral fixation is not as not as bad as your aversion to it yeah she uses a dummy now thanks we've come forward in leaps and bounds everyone just thinks i'm insane and it's okay i'm i'm okay with that whatever so anyway just fucking put up with it if you have a tissue you can offer it no this was the last thing i was gonna say so there are some things that you have to accept things like potentially sniffing or chewing gum whatever but like i was once in a plane next to these i thought this was a joke question but we're really i'm backing only because i think i have something to add guys like when i was five guys i've been sitting on a couch with a newborn no one's spoken to me in fucking four weeks so this is the only adult interaction I've had so I was on a plane
Starting point is 00:33:07 and I was sitting next to these two boys that were like 18 years old and one of them was in the middle one of them was against the window and I was on the aisle no other way around one was on the aisle one was in the middle and I was just the seating arrangement matter I'm so lost I'm on the edge of my seat okay the one that was the furthest away from me what do you do Kept farting, kept farting, kept farting. And the one in the middle kept fucking laughing about it. He kept farting and it went on. It's actually nothing worse.
Starting point is 00:33:37 It went on for the majority of the fucking flight from Sydney to Queensland. Oh, I was flying up to see my dad. So it's like a quite far to Townsville and it would have been about the fourth time. And the one in the middle snickering and I, it was so repulsive. I turned around and I was like, I'm really sorry, but if you know, that's right. I was on the aisle seat. Oh my God, Laura, fuck. Laura was somewhere on a plane and somewhere else in the plane
Starting point is 00:34:03 was some people farting. No, because he was against the window and I was in the aisle seat and I turned around to him and I was like, I'm really sorry, but if you need to shit your pants, you can get up, I will get up for you. I was like, otherwise, if you need to fart again, can you please go to the bathroom? And I said it at really loud, normal speaking voice,
Starting point is 00:34:20 his friend in the middle absolutely dropped dead with laughter and the kid did not do another single fart. Oh, you showed him laws. Sorry. I'm like, I've lost the plot. Sometimes people's guts get a bit funny on planes from the pressure. No, you cannot fart your way to Townsville and not take that to the bathroom. Do you know what would have hidden the smell?
Starting point is 00:34:41 Dew and gum. No, it would not. Okay, I think we've established a tissue question. Okay. Last question. My best friend matched with someone on Tinder quite a while ago. They spoke a bit and she told me about him. I worked out that we had hooked up a number of years ago.
Starting point is 00:34:56 We spoke for a bit, got together a few times, but nothing really progressed. She originally said that she wouldn't pursue him because she felt that that was weird. But then she asked if it would bother me if they hooked up and I was completely fine about it. She was very adamant that it would only be sex. Well, now fast forward a few months later, they are now almost exclusive. I'm not upset or bothered by it, but I do find it very uncomfortable and awkward. She wants us to go out on a double date, but my partner and I find it really weird. Am I a bad friend for not hanging out all together?
Starting point is 00:35:27 Do I need to suck it up because I said it was okay? I don't know how I'm going to do friend-mas with someone I think that's now dating my best friend. Help. Okay, I'm just re-skimming my eyes over this again. They spoke for a bit. We'd hooked up a number of years ago. Okay, I'd say get over it. Yeah, get over it.
Starting point is 00:35:47 I'd say get over it. It's years ago. I understand where some awkwardness might come from is that you are, it's not you hanging out with them. It's you and your partner. Your partner might feel uncomfortable hanging out with someone that he knows you are having sex with. I think that's more okay. Like if he's like, I don't really think I need to hang out with someone you used to bang. I get that. That's fine. But for you, like you hanging out with your best friend, new boyfriend, someone that you hooked up with years ago and you've moved on and are happy and they're happy. I think you need to be happy for them. Like
Starting point is 00:36:15 if she's found someone that she's exclusive with and they're vibing like like you it'd be different if you were in a full-blown relationship with that person a few years ago like that's a no-go for me but no one is forcing you to either but she's your best friend I would you don't have to bring up and laugh about it you guys don't need to make jokes about it friendness might be off for your boyfriend but the day-to-day hanging out I think you just need to be happy for her yeah and also I think with these kinds of things you gotta rip the band-aid off so I think if you do hang out and you do that once are you going to realize it's actually not that weird I would agree if it was your long-term boyfriend or someone who you really had feelings for dated and it didn't work out
Starting point is 00:36:53 and then your best friend came along and years later started dating them but obviously she didn't know like it's not like she was like oh yeah that guy used to date actually I've kind of got the hots for him she also just spontaneously matched with him on a dating app and then they got together and and it's worked out for them and it didn't work out for you yeah I think it is not a big deal it's not a big deal to me I wouldn't see it as a big deal I mean we have had situations I know we've talked about it on the pod before where I matched with a guy on tinder we hooked up we boned and then years later you were like I'm going on a date with this guy and I was like lol didn't bone him though I didn't hook up because it made me all I could think about when I was
Starting point is 00:37:28 with him was you and I just really put an adapter on things well to be fair you guys stayed friends like you stayed friends with him I've stayed friends with him yeah we're all still friends We all hung out at one point. Keisha's friends started dating him like a month ago. That's the most Bond I think we've ever said, guys. This is my point, but going back to the threesome. When you live in the same area, it all comes out. I think we're very close to Christmas, obviously.
Starting point is 00:37:56 It still feels a little bit raw to you at the moment. Don't do friend mess. That's fine. But do go out for coffee. Do meet your best friend's boyfriend. She already has met him. No, but meet him in the capacity of her now being your best friend's boy. He is not the guy that you used to fuck.
Starting point is 00:38:11 He's not anymore. It's been years and you've got a boyfriend. He is just your best friend's boyfriend. I actually think you just have to let it go. You do have to respect, even if it is absolutely fine for you, you have to respect how your partner feels. Now, I don't know how your partner feels, but at the end of the day, you have to respect the way your partner feels.
Starting point is 00:38:30 So even if you're okay with it, if he is for whatever reason uncomfortable, that's not on you to force him. like it's just not and you might not understand it but men are strange creatures yeah but in saying that brit okay if ben's best friend in the whole world was started dating someone and he told you i hope this isn't too weird for you years ago we hooked up it meant nothing they didn't even know each other they've just now met spontaneously online would you stop ben from hanging out with his best friend and and that person's new partner like it depends you cannot argue with how someone feels. So if your partner doesn't want you hanging out with someone that you used to fuck,
Starting point is 00:39:06 that's okay for them to say that. Like you can't force it. I disagree only because it's a very different situation. There is no intimidation there. That person's not interested in you anymore. They're interested in your friend. I don't know. No, I'm not saying that he's stopping her. I'm saying you should be over and hanging out with him. But if your partner doesn't want to go and group hang with someone that you used to have sex with, that's okay. You don't have to force him your current partner to go and sit down and have lunch with someone he knows used to have sex with you like from my understanding from conversations with men men and women view a lot of things differently a lot of things the same as well but a lot of men really hold on to these
Starting point is 00:39:46 situations of your past relationships and things like that and it's different to sit down and be across from someone knowing that they were having sex with your partner there's just something different about it. Some people, it might not bother them. I'm just saying, if your partner is saying, you know what, I just, I don't feel like I need to go and have lunch with someone you used to have sex with, then that's okay. He doesn't have to come. But you as a best friend to her, like, yeah, you need to get over it. Yeah. I think so too. Give it some time. It's going to, it's not going to be as big a deal the longer that they're together. And if they're like a really happy, awesome relationship in six months time, that's going to become the new normal. And
Starting point is 00:40:21 you're not going to be catching up with them thinking, I remember that time four years ago when we had sex. Like the details are probably foggy anyway. Anyway, guys, that is it from us. I now currently have a baby attached to my titty. Yeah, we've got to get out of here. Some people need to eat. Poppy.
Starting point is 00:40:34 Poppy, yeah. Poppy, and she also needs a nappy change. If you really do want to watch me breastfeed, go and hit us up on the YouTube channel. Stop saying that as our cell. No, YouTube's a big one for us, guys. Power for women. Yeah, please.
