Life Uncut - BACH UNCUT - Swamps, tats and the great bachie bush doof (Part two)
Episode Date: August 19, 2021So how many episodes of the Bachelor do you think we’re re-capping this week? 2..14...28? Well if you guessed 3, you’d be correct! Wednesday was a big thick juicy double ep that kicked off with Ho...lly getting a second single date. They waded through freezing knee-deep water in a national park, which is as good as single dates have been going lately. The group date saw all the girls having lunch with Jimmy’s mum, Susan. The only issue.. She likes her bachelorettes served well done. Poor old Steph copped the full brunt and if her bags aren’t packed… they should be! Things go from bad to worse for Steph and at the cocktail party, half the girls tell Jimmy she’s gotta go. Except wait for this big twist that Tahnee dropped… JAY WANTS TO BE RUNNER UP AND CASH IN ON HER NEW FOUND FAME! Not sure if we’re now technically on ep 11 or still 10.. Who the hell bloody knows what’s going on or what day it is. Osher decides to throw a bush doof in the backyard of the Bach mansion, which is complete with teepee tents, glow sticks and DJ decks. As soon as they get there, Jimmy pulls Jay aside to make sure she’s not gunning to be a Matty J 2.0, which she staunchly denies. When they return Jay bee-lines it for Tahnne and things kick off. They both end up in tears saying the other one is lying - it’s incredibly awkward but equal parts entertaining. Jimmy decides that Jay is too good at kissing so he says goodbye to Tahnee. The next single date is with Carlie and they’re tattooing each other.. Except it’s not real tattoos because Osher spent all the budget on the bush doof so they’re using sharpies he bought from the local servo. Sadly they opt for compases instead of southern cross tattoos (we can’t help but wish Sierah was on this date). The group date is an water obstacle course that’s being billed as a Bachelor Love Triathlon. Jay is the clear favourite to win, which is great because she needs to repair her reputation but she throws the game and let’s Ash win. WHAT ARE YOU DOING JAY!!!! Jimmy gets the extra time with Ash and he looks like a kid who got given an avocado for Christmas. At the cocktail party Brooke returns and she’s as horny as a teenager at Schoolies. After jumping Jimmy she proudly declares that she’s getting all the remaining single dates and if anyone gets in her way, she’s going to put them in a headlock. This prompts Laura to decide she’s had enough and calls for the first free limo back to Sydney.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

I am Marnie May. Welcome to Batch A Cut.
Hi guys and welcome to part two.
This is Batch Uncut, and I'm Laura, and I am joined by my favourite Bachelorette runner-up, Matthew Johnson.
That's right, it is me, Matty J, arguably Australia's favourite Bachelor out of all the seasons that are out in history.
That's a big call. Is this international or just Australia?
Should I give Sam Wood a call? Say what he thinks.
Sam Wood? Honestly, who is that guy?
Hello, Sam. How are you being, pal? Matt thinks he's the best.
we're going to put up a poll. Do you know what? True story. True story. Before I was the bachelor,
I was, I was waiting for the phone call. I was walking down on Bondi beach and I saw Sam Wood
with Shnezana and they were taking a photo with a random person on the street and I walked past
and I, and I stood there watching them and I thought to myself, the random person was mad.
And I was like, I love you guys. I saw you on the bachelor. They were like, get out of our garden.
and I was like, sorry.
And by Sydney, I meant I was in Melbourne in their front yard.
No, I was watching them take this photo with a random person
and I thought to myself, wouldn't that be so weird?
Imagine just a random person coming up to you and asking for a photo.
Imagine if that happens to me.
And here I am, Laura.
Here I am now, many years after The Bachelor.
No one wants your photo.
I've not been asked for a photo in about two years.
Actually, somebody came up to us the other day and was like,
I listened to the podcast I love the podcast oh like Maddie J you were so good I was listening
to Batrung Cut and Matt was like I still got it and to that lady if she's listening you really
put a spring in his step did that happen yeah when did that happen you audibly said I've still got it
yes yes yes yes oh gosh I've done a step I can't remember anything
guys we got like bachelor did us dirty again they gave us two episodes on wednesday one episode on
thursday it was a lot to uncover it was a lot to unpack bachelor is like the nonna who just
keeps giving you food when you're like i've had enough please it hurts me i've had too much come
on have some more a little more i couldn't possibly nana i don't want anymore i feel sick
Have some more.
No more, Bachelor, please.
Have some more.
Come on.
One more for you.
Please, make it stop.
Okay, one more.
No, really, make it stop.
I've heard a rumor that apparently this is the last week
where they're doubling up episodes.
So from now on, it'll go back to our regular viewing schedule
where it's just two episodes per week.
Thank God, because it's almost killed us.
Is this like a Steph rumour or a Tani rumour?
How much validity is there to this rumour?
Steph, where are you?
Thanks for the hot tips, Steph.
But anyway, guys, we are not going to talk too much before we get into the episodes.
We've got 10, 11 and 12 to unpack today.
So, you know what?
Strap on your undies, settle in, make yourself a cup of tea.
You're in for a long one.
Have some more.
All right, this episode starts off with a single date.
It's also weird that we don't have any date card reveals.
It's not happening.
Have they cancelled this from The Bachelor?
What is happening?
I think they're trying something new.
They just realised that date cards, that piece of paper is expensive.
But that's like half of what Osher does on the show.
I wonder if they cut his budget.
Like, Osher, we don't need you for the date cards anymore.
Just the cocktail parties and rose ceremonies.
Like, we're going to just give you a bit of a salary cap this year.
We're going to cut you back.
You know, you're going to be in half of what you normally do,
so we're going to pay you half because, you know what,
their times are tough it's COVID times I miss them I want them back I still have my date cards I feel
like the date cards maybe look okay I didn't take it back what I was just about to say I feel like
that they're a really like beautiful memorabilia that you have from the show but maybe not if you
don't end up with the person everybody else has burnt nares or like thrown them in the recycling
I think you're the only one who's held on to them somebody from my season and I will not say who
because it would definitely be a Daily Mail article 100% burnt all the stuff you gave her
on the show, created a bonfire, burnt it, and then sent a photo
of the bonfire in a WhatsApp group.
It was Tara.
It wasn't Tara.
It wasn't.
But imagine having that effect on a woman, that they're going
to set some shit on fire.
Breaking some hearts, Maddie J.
That's just lovely to hear.
I hope she's doing well, whoever that woman is.
Anyway, back to the single date.
And we have Holly.
Interesting that she's now had her second date.
She's the first out of all the girls to get the second single date.
Is that right, Laura?
She is.
but what does it mean? Because I feel like it's a big statement to be the first person to get the
second single date. Is it a big statement? Oh yeah, 100%. I really think that sets you
apart from the rest of the group. Everyone is looking at who is going to get the first,
second date. And the really hard thing is when people start getting their second single date
and there's others who haven't even received their first date, pretty much know that those people
are on the way out. Holly has a beautiful single date in the majestic Kuringai National Park
all the way out in the northern beaches of Sydney.
That's Jimmy's hometown, if you didn't know.
And it's a good thing that Holly is easy to impress.
This is pretty cool.
It is.
Where are we going?
We're immersing ourselves in nature.
Oh, how exciting.
Immersing yourself in nature is code for
we have absolutely no freaking budget for this date
and so I'm taking you to a creek.
That's what happened on this single date.
Do you think in the back of Holly's mind she's thinking,
how the hell are they going to fit a super yacht
in this little creek here.
Is a helicopter going to land over there or what's going to happen?
She's like, there's no cleared spaces for the helipad.
I'm seeing lots of foliage and debris.
This seems like it could be a bit dangerous.
Maybe someone's going to come out and clear a flight path.
Wading through a swamp is great, sure,
but we're talking about The Bachelor right here.
This is meant to be the most eligible man in Australia
who takes women on the most impressive dates
and he took her on a bush walk to the Karingai National Park
and they went swimming in a freezing cold creek.
I have done that on a date before with a guy on Tinder
who I didn't go on a second date with because I got bitten by a leech.
That's what they did.
Do you think this was filmed during COVID
and they had to like have lots of restrictions
around what they were and weren't allowed to do?
Actually, that's a very good point.
I'm a genius.
Laura Byrne, wow.
Yeah, maybe you're right.
I think COVID would have definitely had an impact
and what kind of dates they could do.
And I think we're now seeing the result of that.
Well, at least you know that if you take someone to a freezing cold creek
in the middle of a swamp in the middle of a national park,
you're guaranteed to have some alone time.
It's so romantic here.
It feels like we're the only two people in the world.
No one is going there because it's winter and it's an ankle-deep swamp, Holly.
That's why you were all alone.
okay swamps aside i do think holly and jimmy have so much chemistry on screen it's ridiculous
it's because holly's gonna be my number one i will not sing at all again for the rest of this
episode but no as you all know holly is my number one it girl and i really enjoyed holly trying to
climb jimmy like a tree it was because she was freezing but apart from that they looked really
good together they have so much chemistry they look hot af as a couple and i am backing this i
stand i have lots of time for the jimmy holly what's going to be their like pseudonym jimly
jilly it's no matora that wasn't really that exciting was it sorry we subjected you to that
guys apologies all right enough about holly and jimmy your favorite couple because let's all admit
that jay's still in with a very red hot chance talking about the group date now laura burn and
we get to meet lovely Susan, who happens to be Jimmy's mother, who is also a psychologist.
And you know that you're in a bit of trouble when your mum rocks up halfway through a season
and she starts calling you James.
I wonder why they went for Jimmy then at the beginning.
So maybe there's an intruder and he's James and he's big, hot Italian man, stallion coming
in.
No, okay, I'll stop.
What's with your fixation on big Italian men?
Don't get jealous.
You're part Italian.
I remember when the Olympics was on and the cycling was on the TV.
And I was like, look at that man in lycra.
I wear lycra all the time and you don't seem to care.
I'm sorry that I'm just a boring old mix of Welsh and Australian.
Can we please get back to Jimmy's mum?
James' mum.
Susan gets to meet all of the women and she's giving them a little bit of a grilling.
She does seem very fierce.
Obviously, she wants nothing but the best for her sweet James,
or Jimmy as we sometimes call him.
Or the kinky captain, if you've been following along thus far.
I wonder if she calls him kinky captain behind closed doors.
Ah, yes, James, my son.
Or as I like to call him, the kinky captain.
That guy loves whips.
I just want to also say, I cannot tell you how many flight attendants
have messaged us or DM'd us and said that it hurts them to the soul
that we call him the kinky captain when he's actually
like the first-hand officer, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
I don't know.
Look, just don't crash the plane.
I don't care what your title is.
I just want to be on a plane that lands safely.
I know he's not a captain.
We're so sorry that we have been giving him a title
that he is not deserving of, but we're going to keep calling him
the kinky captain because we've come too far.
What's the official correct term?
What's his profession?
Like first-hand officer Jimmy.
He's like not quite a captain yet.
Oh, he's first hands in Captain No.
Wow, that was so bad.
Never do that again.
All right.
So interesting that Carly, everyone loves Carly,
and she absolutely nails the chat with Jimmy's mum.
And I think also the fact that Carly is a lawyer,
she's also wearing Cartier jewellery.
I think Susan would have looked at that and gone,
yes, you are the perfect calibre of human being for my son.
You will fit into the Northern Beaches fine, darling.
Come this way.
But also, we have to acknowledge this is the point in the series
where midway there's not that many girls left.
It is time for a villain to fall.
The last group I'm thinking was Steph and Laura
and I kind of zeroed in a bit on Steph.
I was trying to work out, is she really over her ex?
I just wonder whether she has him almost as the idea.
Benchmark?
Yeah.
It's always awkward when you get asked about your ex from your new partner's mum
who's also dating seven other people at the same time.
It's just a really uncomfortable conversation, isn't it?
Well, you don't want to shit on your ex.
It looks really bad if you go, yeah, my ex-partner, what a twat, absolute tool.
You want to talk really positively of them.
But then at the same time, she's done that and then it's now made it look like she's still in love with her ex.
But didn't she say that her ex cheated on her?
During this chat with Jimmy's mum, she's gone out of her way to talk about how awesome her ex was
and how all of their core values and their interests and all this sort of stuff aligned.
But yet she has been saying things this whole season about how he cheated on her
and how that relationship ended really badly.
I mean, look, there's been some mismatched in some of the things Steph said up until this point.
This was another bit of a mismatch.
I also think that Steph would have felt really under pressure being questioned in that way
and wanted to say the right thing.
Maybe not necessarily said how she really felt,
but was just trying to answer the question correctly.
And I think that's why she got so tripped up
because it was a weird, long, rambly, ambling answer.
Kind of like the one I just did then.
I didn't know Steph was in the record with us today.
But anyway, guys, this was the downfall.
This was the part of Steph's demise.
I think Jimmy hearing from another person
saying that there is some issues around Steph.
And look, there are a lot of things about this episode
that I think were highly edited.
I don't think we got to see the full conversations
that kind of took place and how they all played out.
But we'll get into what happened with Steph at the cocktail party.
But before we get there, Carly had some extra time.
All right, so Carly gets the extra time.
And I think it's a combination of the fact that,
yes, she has a great profession.
Yes, she wears expensive jewellery.
And, Laura Byrne, have you seen the set of teeth that she has?
She's been going to see whoever the people from Mass go and see
after they're finished.
She doesn't need to have the ambassadorship once the season ends.
She's already been to see Dr Smile, whoever his name is.
This woman is absolutely perfect.
She is wife material.
And Jimmy, he knows it.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, he loves it.
So much so that he can't even help himself by going into sexual innuendos
during the chat.
You know, obviously we're coming up to the pointy end of things.
This whole chat about Jimmy's pointy end.
Now, this is like classic 101.
This is quintessential bachelor lingo.
What, talking about your genitals like that?
You were always talking about your pointy end, Matthew Johnson.
So now that I have a big stiffy, what I really have to start talking about
is where we see ourselves in the future.
Because this guy's throbbing.
your answer
no okay so there's a couple of things that if you've watched enough of the bachelor you would
know one of them is we're coming up to the pointy end like classic this is something a producer will
say to you once like twice 50 100 times in a day totally and like i love you such batchy chat
Do you know what I mean?
Like, oh, whenever I hear that, I'm just like, oh, classic Batchy 101.
Okay, don't listen to Matthew Johnson.
The other ones that you will hear are.
You're here for the right reasons.
Are you here for the, I like this.
Drink, drink every time someone says you're here for the right reason.
Another one is, I think there's great compatibility or chemistry.
They're also very, very good ones.
Oh, got one.
I got one.
I just can't wait to see where this goes.
Journey is another good one as well.
Anyone that describes their relationship as a journey,
you know that they're straight from The Bachelor.
And there's one last one, Laura, if I may.
I think at the start of a date you may hear on occasions,
and I really just want Laura to open up.
Don't you ever.
Sorry, guys.
I told you.
Got a wine in my hand.
I hope you're enjoying it, feeling fine.
You are too much.
Thank you.
I've gotten lost where we are now.
Same.
Going through my notes, I don't have at any point Laura talking about opening up.
You're all hot and flustered, Matthew Johnson.
Cocktail party.
No, can I just take a moment to talk about Carly?
Because Carly's come up a lot in the Facebook group.
She is so perfect.
Like, she is beautiful.
She is so kind.
She is so positive.
She has a great job, great income.
Look, and not that that is something that is an essential.
It's not an essential service, but it's a nice to have.
What, money?
Yeah, especially if you're going to live in the Northern Beaches once again.
But everybody in our Facebook group freaking loves Carly,
and everyone keeps saying that Carly is too good for Jimmy,
and Jimmy, sorry if you're listening to this,
but Carly has a little bit of a fan club over at Life Uncut,
and I'm here for it.
I think Carly could be in with a chance if she doesn't end up with Jimmy
to be the next Bachelorette.
I agree.
Yes, I absolutely agree.
But it's one of those like really soul-destroying things
when you look at someone like Carly and you're like,
how is she single?
She must be closet crazy.
There has to be something.
There's something wrong with Carly.
She's got some bodies in the basement.
The one question Jimmy hasn't asked her yet, which is…
Where do you keep your bodies?
Are there any bodies in your basement?
She's like, oh, shit, you got me.
You got me, there's 12.
I just want to open up.
all right look another about carly it was so vanilla it was so beige she's so lovely it's
annoying how lovely and perfect she is she's definitely too normal to be on reality tv
so let's go let's fast forward to the cocktail party it was a doozy and jimmy look jimmy was
a little not jimmy james was a little bit of a gossip at this cocktail party he was like a high
school girl wanting to find out who'd been talking about him in the locker rooms look it's hard i do
sympathize with james here because you're also a gossip obviously i love a gossip no but in this
position you really need to get all your information together and you need to get it firsthand from
others and it's really hard because nobody wants to throw anybody else under the bus i don't want
to dub anybody in but you're there like fishing for any little clue any little bit of information
and and james is going around being like give me all your bloody goss on steph what do you got on
death and a few girls do come forward and start to dob her in what do you think of the whole
dobbing in culture on the bachelor or the bachelorette like when somebody goes out of
their way to tell the bachelor tell the bachelorette about some bad behavior that another person in the
house has done i mean it was pretty prolific on matt agnew season i have to say on our season
i didn't see it happen at all and if it did happen it definitely wasn't shown on it on the
the show like it was edited out no i don't think anyone on my season on sorry on our season i don't
think anybody dubbed anybody else in from memory but yeah it is it's really difficult and i think
the thing that makes people really reluctant to do it is the fact that you were all living under
the one roof if you all had separate houses that you went to at the end of a cocktail party
i think maybe people would be more inclined to dub somebody else in but you really have to try
and keep the peace as best as you can.
See, I always saw it when we were on the show
and when I got to spend time with you,
there were definitely people in our season
who had done or said things that really upset me.
And in my mind, I was like, Matt needs to know about this.
Like, I wish he could see what was happening for what it was.
And what a lot of people who's listening to this
might not realise is like,
and the question gets thrown out every year,
why doesn't The Bachelor send the villain home?
Surely they must see what's going on.
often they don't. The reality is, is often they're so far removed from the drama and the bitching and
the gossiping that goes on between the girls and between the contestants that they aren't really
a hundred percent privy to the extent of how toxic it is in the house. And I know that like,
even when we, like when I was like spending my time with you and there were times where I wanted
to tell you things, cause I was like, God, you need to know this. I didn't want to waste the
very limited time that i got to spend with you talking about someone else i was like that seems
like a really shitty use of my time to bitch about someone else not even bitch but just to like
tell you about what someone else is doing wrong but i think you're absolutely correct here i
remember at this point when you come into a cocktail party you literally you walk in you go
hey everybody you're having fun tonight all right great you may have two or three minutes at the
most talking to the girls as a group before either you grab someone for a one-on-one or they grab you
for a chat you then chat to most of the girls and then you go straight into a rose ceremony and then
the night's over and on the group dates you don't really get to spend any time yeah bitching about
anybody else because no one wants to spend that time that's so precious fixated on somebody else
and i guess a lot of people have asked how long at cocktail parties do you actually get to spend
talking to the bachelor. It varies hugely. I think that probably like a normal amount of time would
be maybe like 15 minutes. Each girl probably chats for about 15 minutes. Do you reckon? You think
that's a long time? I reckon it was like five or 10. Well, I think it depends on who it is and
what's going on. Yeah. I don't know. But by the end I was pretty tired. That's literally still
your excuse every other week. Seven minutes. Oh, I was pretty tired, babe. Sorry about that. I'm
good up until about five minutes anything beyond that i i start to fatigue quite quickly ladies and
gentlemen this was your bachelor lucky me but quite a few girls do come forward with information
about steph she's clearly not someone who's well liked by all the girls in the mansion right now
you know tani is one person that comes forward and says that she's still in love with her ex
lily is another one that says a really similar thing so there's only one thing to do sayonara
stefano because you like italians i do i'm gonna miss steph now what do you think of steph and the
drama that was surrounding her because obviously it's going to be trumped up to edit that's what
everybody always says and with the way they've behaved if you know what's shown on tv is not
what they like if what's shown on TV is negative which we've seen in the case of Steph what do you
think in the way that this is all played out do you think that she is the villain that she's come
across us or do you think that editing has been very very heavy on her as a person I don't know
I'm trying to figure this one out and there's a part of me that I really enjoyed watching Steph
on the show she definitely made it interesting she's got so much confidence which is great to
see from a contestant on a show like this obviously it's very strange that there are lots
of situations where i don't know if she just had memory loss or she was just thinking that denial
was the best policy but you know when she called holly c-u-n-t and then just flat out denied it but
she did it multiple times it wasn't just once or twice when she met with jimmy's sister and cousin
and she threw jay under the bus because she said that she didn't want to have kids and then amongst
the girls she completely denied it like it's the same scenario with her time and time again when
there's so many clear inconsistencies I think it's really hard to sit back and blame it on the edit
and it was weird you know when she sat down with Jimmy straight away like she started crying right
she she turned that emotion on and then the moment that she realized that hey the game was up she
stopped crying and she was like yeah see you dude I'm fucking out of here whatever I don't think
that that's what happened i was so confused watching that part of the show i think so much
that conversation was edited out i think that there was way more that was discussed and i was
when this was happening okay like let's fast forward guys steph went home but i didn't get
it i was like this is the most awkward weird conversation they've spoken for three minutes
she's already crying and now she's stormed out i don't believe it and the most confusing part was
at one point when we're just getting into the chat the cameraman dropped the camera
it's like Blair Witch I was like is is there a bear on the set is the cameraman okay
what has happened Frank the cameraman is passed out on the floor right now is anyone rescuing him
wasn't that weird when the camera just dropped and you just left with a scene of like a close-up
shot of the grass well the weird thing was that like it's not like they were moving or running
around they were just sitting on a bench it was like one camera just does a backflip in the air
if you guys didn't notice this you're going to be like what the fuck are they carrying on about but
we were watching it was just like a locked shot of jimmy and steph sitting on the on the bench
and then all of a sudden the camera just fell on the ground and they used that in the editing
like they had some crazy behind the scenes scope like they're trying to make it seem like it's all
like under the radar and there's producers coming in it's all very unreal it's so so staged i wonder
if the editor was sitting there going i really hope i just have a shot of the cameraman dropping
the camera oh we got it here it is perfect that was great from frank that'll be the perfect amount
of suspense for this situation okay but this was honestly this has been the biggest storyline
happened thus far this entire season and it went for two minutes so i mean i've heard from other
people tonight that they've said to me blank. They've said me straight up. We think Steph's
still in love with her ex. Who said that? Multiple people. I've never spoken about that ex to anyone
in this house. Look, I'm sorry. Did you ask anyone about Holly and how shit she is? She cried. She
denied. She walked out. I liked the way she walked out. It was sassy and she owned that, but we didn't
see enough of it and I think that I would love to see what ended up on the cutting room floor
of that whole situation because there's more there than what we saw all right but the million
dollar question that everybody keeps asking this season is is Steph still not over her ex
am I okay yeah dude I'm ecstatic I would marry my ex a thousand times before I would get with Jimmy
all right now before we move on you may be thinking Matt and Laura what are you doing
you've forgotten one of the juiciest parts of this entire episode.
No, we have not.
Well, we did, but we're going to put it in here now.
Yeah.
Okay, so when Jimmy had the chat with Tani,
yes, Tani threw Steph under the bus, but...
She also threw Jay under the bus.
Jay?
Everyone loves Jay.
What do you mean, Tani?
So apparently, Jay said some things which are
breaking the old code of bachelor conduct.
Jay?
said, you know, I would like to finish runner-up
because I heard that they do better.
To be fair, 50-50, the runners-up do pretty good.
Look at you.
Look at Abby Chatfield.
I mean, sure.
This is very awkward because, yeah, look,
if you do want to do well, become runner-up.
We know that Jay talking about being runner-up
is a very key and fundamental storyline,
but we're going to unpack that in the next episode,
which is episode number 11 because, fuck,
we've got two more episodes to go, guys.
This is the episode that never ends.
Episode number 11.
Let's just jump straight to it.
Hot and ready and sexy and can't wait to get unpacking.
And the budget restraints continue here on The Bachelor
because on this episode we're going camping.
It's nice that they've kind of pitched this as like,
we want to know if the girls are outdoorsy and they like to, you know,
just get one with nature and get out there and get amongst it.
but really it was the arts department being like,
fucking hell, guys, we cannot work under these restrictions.
What have we got left?
Oh, some tarpaulin and a couple of blow-up mattresses.
Go on camping.
Get the jaffles ready.
That'll do us for a full episode.
No one's going to notice.
It was literally a full episode of camping.
My school camp had more budget than this.
Oh, wow.
You know, like normally every episode it changes locations.
Like you'll have a day that'll be on a yacht and then you'll have it at the Batch Mansion
and then you'll have a group date that's somewhere else entirely.
Like even just the traveling to and from dates cost money.
They didn't have to travel.
They literally just went, pitched a tent and stayed there for the duration of an entire episode.
I'm like angry for Jimmy.
One of the scenes, you can see the Batch Mansion in the background.
They're in the backyard.
They're in the paddock.
They're not really, are they?
No, they're not.
You can see Osher sitting there in the driveway of the Batch Mansion.
Smoking a cigarette.
He's like, oh, what are these idiots up to today?
Make them dance.
All right, shit budgets aside, let's talk about Katia.
I love Katia.
She's not an intruder.
She is a love coach and she's going to help the girls try and build a connection with Jimmy through eye contact or scent.
Now, research shows that our scent can actually make or break a relationship.
So, one by one, these lovely ladies are going to go and leave their odour print.
I was like, is someone going to go up and just rub their armpit on him?
Like, when I have an odour print, it's not a good thing.
When I leave my odour print on Matt, he's not too happy about it.
Usually when Matt leaves his odour print on me, he's farted on my leg.
Like, well, I was thinking Jimmy's blindfolded here.
Everyone's trying to one-up the other person.
Is someone going to come up and just be like,
That was a really long one.
And Jimmy's like, oh, yeah, so.
That's definitely Holly.
I know what we ate for lunch yesterday.
No, to be honest, I was waiting for Laura to walk up and just cock a leg.
This is my turf.
Just mark a moterifrin, my scent over here.
If this doesn't get me a single date, nothing else will.
You've really got to pull out the big guns.
when you're at the bottom of the barrel.
Oh, poor Laura.
Hashtag free Laura.
How is she still there?
Okay, the hashtag free Laura has been trending on our Facebook group
and I'm so here for it.
Somebody needs to just cut her loose.
Let the girl go.
Give her some reprieve.
Now, Laura, let's get into the really juicy part of this episode,
which is the chat with Jay.
Let's not forget that in the last episode,
Tani said that she only wants to come runner-up
because the runner-up does do better.
Let's be real.
Well, the runner-up does pretty okay.
If you are a runner-up and you make yourself known as a big character,
you'll do well out of The Bachelor.
You'll do well.
Hey, the weird thing about this chat with Jay,
tell me if I saw this incorrectly,
but did he not go up to Jay and say,
hey, Jay, should we have a chat?
The next thing, he's gone for like six hours with Jay.
They went horse riding.
He's like, hey, do you want to just come for a quick chat behind this bush over here?
And then he's got a full day planned.
I wonder if everyone's thinking, all the other girls,
I was like, where the hell has Jay gone?
Once again, no date card.
And I'm feeling robbed.
They've really, really gone off script this season.
Bring back the date card.
So Jay and Jimmy sit down and they want to unpack this big rumor that's been started by Tani.
It's a whole thing.
Drama, drama, drama.
Did she say it?
Didn't she say it?
Do you think Jay said it?
You're a fucking team, Jay.
I love Jay.
I think, obviously, whilst everyone is quite friendly in the house,
it's definitely an environment that is somewhat competitive so if you're sitting there and
apparently so tiny said that she had made this statement while she was getting her hair done
if you're sitting there and you know that somebody is right there next to you within like a meter and
a half you're not going to say openly yeah do you know what i want to come run her up because they
do better no one's that stupid like jay's a very smart girl why is she going to do something like
that which could so easily be used against her I am so Switzerland on this like and I'm gonna kind
of this is my perspective on it Matt and I have spoken about it quite a bit I don't think Tani
is flat out lying I don't think Tani like had this big manipulative plan to be this evil bitch I
think that we could see how upset Tani was we could see how she was so hurt that she really
felt like she had been vulnerable and shared something that she thought she heard whether
it'd be true or not true. And it had backfired. What I actually think has happened, and this is
totally me speculating, so do not come for me, Daily Mail, don't write an article because they've
got no proof. But I think when you're in that environment and it's so vulnerable, the very,
very real threat that you're going to be number two, which is how I felt when I thought, you know,
maybe it'll be someone else. And if you're like a strong independent woman and you don't want to be
embarrassed by being number two because there's this real like you got rejected on national tv
like how shit was it matt tell us all yeah it's pretty crap it's not something i'd want to relive
quickly uh we'll talk about it on a podcast in turn you know i know what you mean it's to protect
yourself totally and i think that maybe in a moment maybe she was talking to one of the makeup
artists and one of the makeup artists were like you know oh how do you feel about jimmy and maybe
she made a joke which was like oh you know what yeah i really like him but if i come second like
well hopefully I'd still do well out of this terrible joke poor taste but maybe she said
something that was misinterpreted and actually was said in vulnerability and I think in that
environment sometimes when you make jokes the jokes are held against you if they don't land
or and and you're being put with all these people of different personalities some of them like you
some of them don't and the reality is is that not everyone in that environment has your best
interest at heart because you're all competing for the same person so do I think that that Jay
said it with that venom and that sort of like malicious intent absolutely not yeah but i don't
think jimmy believes her like jimmy says all right i'm gonna have to believe you and it's not
because he really does believe her i think it's just him going okay let's just sweep this under
the rug and try and move forward i definitely see huge cracks in the relationship now between
jay and jimmy and i feel like it makes her sound like it's like the one thing that you never want
to be pinned as on The Bachelor. You never want to be pinned as the clout chaser. You never want
someone to say that you're only there for Instagram followers. Like everyone knows that
everyone on there is going to get Instagram followers. Like you cannot tell me that you
sign up for a show like The Bachelor and you're not doing it for the possibility of what could
come. Every single girl there is either doing it for the experience, but there's also like a little
bit of you that goes, oh yeah, let's see what happens. I will believe you. Yeah. You think?
or you no no no i know we can move forward okay do you really believe i do yeah i will believe you
to be honest i think that this has done some serious damage to jay like i i genuinely and
i know that i've always been team holly but i think that jay was very much up there and like
i said on the last week's episode i thought she was getting a number three edit now i don't think
she's getting a number three edit i think that there's some there's too much jeopardy in her
storyline because usually number three is like carly is getting the number three edit now it's
the perfect one and unfortunately Jay is this there's too much trepidation happening so it's
making me think that Jay is number two now she's had two controversies she's had I don't want to
have babies obviously it came from Steph and Steph had said that she had cereal for breakfast and I
still wouldn't believe her but now she has that incident now she's got this incident here saying
that she wants to come runner up like there are so many question marks surrounding Jay right now
I'm very worried about Jay.
I'm not feeling confident right now.
One thing I do want to quickly unpack because this is a really long episode,
even though they don't actually leave the location at all,
lots of stuff happens.
I want to unpack when Jay and Jimmy are coming back to the cocktail party,
they're coming back to the bonfire, the bush doof.
Osh's DJing, glow sticks are out, it's all kicking off.
Laura's shelved an MDMA.
And as they're walking in, Jay said something that we should unpack.
Hey, you know how you told me that stuff?
The what?
About the girls that said that stuff.
Yeah.
And I know you don't want me to bring it up, but I feel like I need to.
Like, I don't want to make drama, like I hate drama.
Yeah.
But I hate that they would say stuff like that when it's true.
Yeah.
But maybe it's later tonight.
Okay.
Do you think it's a little bit unfair that Jimmy has asked Jay
not to approach the girls about it, not to speak about it at all?
Look, I can see why a lot of people would look at Jimmy
and see what he said as something that's quite unfair,
but I see where he's coming from.
Obviously, he wants to try and mitigate any kind of disagreement
amongst the girls as much as possible, especially at a cocktail party.
Jimmy just wants to have a nice, relaxing night where everybody has fun,
and he knows that as soon as jay brings this up it's all gonna kick off and jimmy's gonna be stuck
trying to pick up the pieces yeah but i also think it's a little bit unfair like i think
it's hard giving someone that knowledge and being like hey someone in this group of friends these
people that you live with have been bitching about you to me but don't say anything well like that
goes against every fiber in my being would be like i will fucking blow this bitch up find me
Get that bitch, Fox.
Like, I would be so mad and I don't have enough self-control.
Totally.
I mean, Jimmy's like, do you know what?
Maybe you should just bring it up tomorrow when I'm not around.
A hundred percent.
He was just trying to avoid the drama.
You would never tell me not to say something.
You'd be like, I can't control that crazy bitch anyway.
Go, Laura.
Go on.
Pick up the knife and run wild.
Make a mess of yourself on national TV, you idiot.
No, I mean, I feel very sorry for Jay right now.
Obviously, she can't not bring this up because Tani is standing right there
and she's just dragged her name through the mud.
But it's also about defamation of character.
I pride myself in being a nice person.
And I think the fact that girls can say stuff like this about me,
which is totally untrue, it's hurtful.
Look, the real take-home message from this entire episode is that
the messenger never be the messenger.
Someone always shoots the messenger.
I was like, this is going to be very profound.
What's Laura going to say?
I didn't even say the quote properly.
When you're the messenger, don't be the messenger.
Write that down, kids.
That's a rule you have to abide by.
It'll set you well in life.
You know what?
I have a podcast.
It's called Life Uncut where I give out advice on a Thursday episode
and I can't even get the quote.
You know, never want to be the messenger.
The messenger always gets shot.
Isn't that the saying?
No, it's snitches get stitches.
Ooh.
Ooh, yeah, you like that, bruh.
So Tani goes home because she snitched.
And I feel sorry for Tani.
As sorry as I feel for Jay, I feel for Tani.
And I know some people are going to disagree with me,
but I feel sorry for Tani because I feel like she got set up.
I feel like Jimmy.
Got what he needed.
Yeah, he asked her to give.
Kick her to the curb.
Yeah, he asked, can you stop talking on top of me?
Sorry, sorry.
He asked her to.
Get out of here.
jimmy asked honey i'm gonna break up with you in a second
jimmy asked honey to divulge who had been you know a problem in the house and he got the
information he needed out of her and then he sent her packing because whatever she said and what she
said about jay wasn't what he wanted to hear he obviously has a deeper connection with jay he
wants to keep jay around he wants to believe that those things weren't said or they were said in a
different way or whatever whatever the situation was but I feel like Tani was set up for failure
because she was given no time one-on-one she never had a single date and her way of being able to
build a connection with him was to give him some information she felt like she was helping him she
really probably genuinely thought that she was doing the right thing by him and look it just
backfired for everybody and I feel sorry for her I also feel sorry for her but the big question I
have laura is what the hell's going on with ash ash is nowhere to be seen where was ash during
this entire thing what's ash doing is she still there she wasn't even on this episode at all ever
talk up make yourself be heard she's that person at a bush door who just had way too many wines
had to go sleep in the tent she was vomiting behind the tent in the back and that's pretty
much episode 11 wrapped which means we have a whole other episode so if you're still with us
Holy dooly, we're going to try.
Is it a holy dooly or holy dooly?
It's holy.
We're going to try and get through this one real quick.
And holy dooly, it's going to be a cracker.
Wait, can I put in here?
I've got something that I want to bring up.
We've got a little grab for you guys.
Tani, I'm sorry, but you did not receive a rose.
Could you please take the time now to say goodbye?
has anyone noticed that osha is reaching a whole new range of alto
you did not receive a rose i don't know what you're talking about i mean he's always been
very empathetic in his tone but it's just gone to a whole new level like it's really gone
ladies we've only got four roses and the ladies are like what i'll just speak up i can't hear
what you're saying, mate.
I literally cannot hear.
His voice has gone so far into a whisper.
He sounds like he's had his larynx removed.
I didn't receive a rose.
It's time to...
What?
Who, Osher?
Speak up!
Who's going home?
Laura?
Oh, I love you, Osh.
All right, episode 12.
Let's do it.
There's only six girls left in the mansion.
How did that happen so quickly?
Oh, I've got an idea.
It's because they keep doing double episodes.
I mean, the sad thing is, Laura, with all these double episodes,
it does mean the amount of batch uncut episodes that we do together
is going to be cut short.
It also means that these episodes have to go for a very long time
in order for us to cover everything.
So I hope that you are maybe going for a long walk.
Maybe you're working at home and you just need some background noise
and, I don't know, maybe you just need some friends in your ears for an hour.
Everyone needs a friend, Matthew.
Why are you laughing at that?
That wasn't even a joke.
I know.
I just didn't know where you were going with that.
Neither did I.
Everybody just needs some friends.
Everybody out there.
Laura on a four glass of wine.
The thing about friends is that you need them, okay?
And everyone shoots the messenger because the messenger's going to get shot.
people know people know long walks being like what the fuck is laura talking about
messengers and friends uh let's talk about group dates let's talk about obstacle course
group dates and triathlons so triathlon involves running cycling and swimming
kind of brutal although if i had to pick one i i pick none you know what laura same if i had
to pick one, I would pick none as well. There's something really dehumanizing about running around
a triathlon obstacle course for a man, isn't there? I love it. I love it. Of course you do.
It's like you could literally make these women do absolutely anything and they'll do it because
they just want to spend time with you. The patriarchy. Fuck, the feminists are coming
for you, Matt. Do not say this. You could be like, all right, now we're going to roll around
in baths of human feces.
You're then going to jump through hoops that have been set on fire.
And if you do that, you'll get five minutes with me at the end of the day.
And these women will do it.
They're like, you can roll in this hot tar
and then there's a pile of feathers over there.
And that'll get you a single date.
And everyone's racing to the hot tar.
Yeah, look, I admit I did the same thing.
And people ask me how do I feel about it as a feminist.
And sometimes I question when you say shit like that.
And saying that, and saying that, there is obviously the bachelorettes, so men will do
the same type of activities, trying to spend time with a woman, or men and women now.
I'm glad that we've evened the scales.
Okay, let's get into what happens on this group date.
Jay messes up.
Jay.
Let's just jump ahead to Jay.
Jay, what are you doing, mate?
What are you doing?
Okay, obviously, you've rocked the boat a little bit in the last episode.
Now it's time to redeem yourself.
And I thought, Jay is obviously going to win this one.
out of the girls she is one of the fittest there so clearly she's in a very good position to win
extra time with jimmy but she makes an absolute mess of this obstacle course i think we all felt
the same way watching this and and we saw jimmy's heart like collectively break when jay kind of
gave away her advantage to ash so if you didn't see the episode what happened was is the obstacle
course had all these different like points along it where there was red flags uh the irony that
you'd get a red flag from a guy who's dating six women so when you picked a red flag up you had to
then answer a question and if you got the question right it was kind of a compatibility test you
would then get a five second advantage head start on the other girls now jay was winning by a landslide
and when she got to one of the red flags and she got the five second advantage instead of taking
the advantage she broke the second cardinal sin which was she gave her advantage she literally
gave away her one-on-one time with jimmy to her friend ash well she didn't give it away in that
moment she just gave the person who was the biggest competition in the race a huge advantage
of herself so yeah but what ended up happening was that she won it like i mean when you're in
those sorts of competitions and if you're genuinely invested in the guy it's like it's almost like
she's never watched a season of bachelor before like you do not give away or prioritize the
friendship over the guy like that's just like it's the biggest mistake to make because obviously
the friendships are important but if there is one-on-one time at stake with the bachelor and
you really really like the guy you bloody go for it obviously the last episode jay had that single
date weird horse ride extended one-on-one time together doesn't matter time is so important even
if it's five minutes ten minutes half an hour whatever you want to take advantage of that and
if we were on a group date laura and you had done what jay had done i would be absolutely
filthy i would be so annoyed and also i think the big thing as well is it's like
if anybody else watching it noticed like jimmy looked genuinely upset jimmy questioned jay about
it in that moment as well i'm just a bit confused it's almost as if jay wants ash to win i mean
does jay even want to spend time with me oh i don't know i think it's a really big statement
and i think it's it's very dismissive to to give away the potential of extra time because like
even though you care about your friends even though you want to prioritize your friendships
and and you know you if your friend has not had enough time with the bachelor you want to like
allow them to to explore their connection but jay would be foolish to think that she was safe after
everything that has been happening after all of the things like what happened on the last week's
episode the fact that tani has just gone home she was the last person to get a rose at the cocktail
party like she would be foolish to think that she was safe and she had it in the bag it was it was
the whole thing was weird like you know it was a weird setup it was a weird power flex it was a
weird thing that she did if she's genuinely into jimmy it was weird when there's already been all
this controversy around the fact that she wants to come second and then she literally offers up
being second the whole thing was strange matt you picked her as number one and i think you're an
idiot agreed agreed agreed i'm sitting here watching her going jay you've disappointed me
beyond words obviously ash wins the group date ash gets the extra time with jimmy and i maybe
i'm reading into it maybe i'm trying to psychoanalyze jimmy here but i think he looks disappointed
he looked like a guy who had gotten a subway sandwich and then walked outside the front door
and dropped his sandwich in the gutter.
I was going to say he looked like a kid who'd been given a rock for Christmas,
so I'm glad that we're on the same page.
He looked like someone who was disappointed.
He looked disappointed.
And then the kiss was, like, weird.
And there was no tongue, and it was a very closed mouth,
and it was like the way that you'd kiss your nan.
Hey, and don't get us wrong.
We love Ash.
She's beautiful.
She's great.
She's amazing.
But I feel like Jimmy really wanted Jade to redeem herself here, and she didn't.
And Lily summed it up perfectly.
I think Jay's putting on a brave face and she's saying, you know,
an hour here or there isn't going to change her connection with Jimmy,
but an hour here or there could.
Moving along to the single date with Carly, who is divinely perfect
and, of course, does not have any tattoos because she would never spoil
her beautiful porcelain skin with such filthy, filthy, dirty tattoos.
So the single date is that Jimmy is going to put a tattoo on Carly
and Carly's face is like, no, you're fucking not, pal.
Jimmy's like, we're putting Southern Cross tattoos on each other.
Rip your shirt off, mate.
And Jimmy's like, this is my friend.
He's a tattoo artist.
They sit down and Carly is less than impressed.
I was thinking if we could come up with some ideas,
some things that we'd want out of a relationship.
Okay.
And then my artistic ability is quite limited.
So then Rhys will come in and help us visualise.
Cool.
This woman is a corporate lawyer.
I mean she wears Cartier for goodness sake
She doesn't want to get a compass
With a love heart, a house and a son
Drawn on her by some random guy on a reality TV show
With a Sharpie pen
But one thing I think is like the real
Real highlight is the fact that once again
The art department has gone to Spotlight
And they were like what have we got for a group date
What have we got for a single date here
Oh Sharpies I know
We'll do a tattoo session we can't afford real tattoos
They're very expensive but we can draw them on with permanent ink
Alright Jimmy the total budget for the next date
$4.
Okay.
So, look, it's delightful.
Carly has the best teeth.
They have an excellent time.
They're so exceptional together.
It's painful to watch because they're so pleasant.
I love how much you love her teeth.
Every time she's on the TV, you're just like, look how straight they are.
So white.
Every time she's on the TV, I'm like, no wonder Jimmy wants to spend time with her.
He can see himself in her teeth.
all right now it's obvious that carly has made a huge impression on jimmy but it seems like he has
quite a few choice words to say about her carly's gonna hate me for saying this but she is the
complete package she's intelligent she's fun she's beautiful don't you fucking ever call me
intelligent fun and beautiful i would hate you to say that about me matthew johnson you call me
horrible things only i'm not okay with this jimmy you should be ashamed of yourself you dirty kinky
kept in you.
We both
came out and I both listened to this and we were like
why would Carly hate that you
said that she's intelligent, beautiful,
fun, perfect, porcelain skin,
is a tattoo virgin.
Tell me why she would hate that, Jimmy.
She's there at home watching it back on TV
being like, oh my god, you
prick, Jimmy. You prick.
Why would you say that? Bastard.
You left me at the altar and now
you're calling me funny and intelligent and
beautiful. I hate you.
spit on you next time I see you.
That's going to win you.
You really ran with that joke, didn't you?
I was like, oh my gosh, Laura's.
Matt got turned on.
All right, this has been going on for way too long,
which is exactly how we felt when we were watching the three episodes
back to back.
We are going to fast track it now to the cocktail party,
some big juicy sexy crazy stuff a couple more adjectives go on what else you got wild brook
she made an entrance and she is back baby i found it really interesting that the moment that she
came back into the cocktail party was the exact moment that jay was about to have time with jimmy
in the business class lounge and i was thinking to myself yes finally we get to see some time in
the business class lounge but no i wonder why production would have made that call like the
moment they're about to go up there they would have said osha run in there right now and bring
jimmy outside and i'm thinking like oh gosh nothing is going right for jay right now like
even production are working against her i 100 think the production and the edit like and when
i say the edit i don't mean the edit that's happened after the fact i mean like the storyline
that's been put in place is punishing Jay for what she did on that group date. Like she is
legitimately being punished. She would have been sitting at that cocktail party saying in her
voxies, saying to all the girls, I really need to speak to Jimmy tonight. So all of the producers
would have known that she desperately wanted to speak to Jimmy. As soon as she was going to take
him to the business class lounge, that opportunity was taken away from her. And it was a real
moment of like, you're not playing the game properly. Don't do that again. If you want to
be spending time with jimmy then you need to be giving it your absolute all it was it was
punishment that's how i see it anyway what do you think yeah they were like bending her over and
spanking her spanking her i was like oh yeah that was so weird okay and out the front whilst jay is
getting a metaphorical spanking is brooke brooke is back brooke welcome back sweet little brooke
Or is she?
Brooke, who is the sweetest, kindest, happiest.
She's got the biggest smile.
She's also got great teeth.
Everyone this season has good teeth.
Why are you so obsessed with everyone's teeth?
She has turned into the most unlikely villain of all.
Our little medieval jousting champion.
She likes to play dress-ups and now she's back as a villain.
Who would have thought it?
I can give you the hug that I've been telling you I was going to give you.
Yeah, I know.
What about the kiss?
ah brookie's back the confidence that this woman has is incredible she's changed so much i remember
brook is just being like so angelic and peaceful and beautiful and now she's like what's up
motherfucker kiss me sit on my face all right
okay even jimmy's like holy shit what's happened he's like what have i created i am going to and
obviously guys we say this all the time we don't know anything more than what you know we are just
speculating obviously because jimmy has had the ability to call her or text her outside of this
environment so she's left because her grandfather passed away they have stayed in contact i think
jimmy has given her some reassurance he's probably given her without maybe necessarily meaning to
he has given her an inflated sense of reassurance around this situation and she has come back
guns blazing okay laura but we don't know it could have been one call and one text message
it could have been four phone calls and a hundred text messages we have no idea we have no idea but
we do know that he has said i want to give you a hug he has also said i want to kiss you because
otherwise no no no she said what about that kiss yeah because he was like i want to give you the
hug that i've been telling you about and she was like yeah and what about the kiss and i think
That's because he has been saying, I want to kiss you.
And I don't know, does anyone send a text message saying, I want to kiss you?
Maybe they do.
It's been so long.
Of course they do.
You never send me text messages like that.
I always send you a text message and I'm like, I can't wait for you to sit on my face.
You're like, take the bins out, baby.
Make sure that you've got Ty ordered when I get home.
Wash those feet this evening.
So Brooke is back.
Brooke is back with a vengeance.
Brooke is back with the confidence of someone who thinks they are going to win.
and she is getting everyone offside.
Wasn't it funny when she came back in
to talk to the rest of the girls
and she was talking about the fact that,
hey, girls, there's only one single date left
and by the way, I've got it
and she's got lipstick smudged all over her face
and in that, let's just remind ourselves
that in that environment,
whilst you're aware that Jimmy is hooking up
and dating all these other girls,
when you're in a group situation,
you don't really show that much affection to the bachelor
other than a handhold or anything else
because you know that it's so hard for the other people to see.
No, but it's very much she's come back in
and obviously she's not fully aware of what's been happening in the house
and she's been gone, but she's come back in with a vengeance
and she's come back in with this renewed sense of confidence
and it's really upset a lot of the girls and I understand why.
I think that some of the conversations that she was having,
her saying that they were having a really like sexy, intimate chat,
all of that is wildly inappropriate to tell the other girls
and of course it's true of course it's the honest truth and she's not doing anything wrong by saying
it but it's a real power flex and it's being done to try and like mentally disarm the other girls
that are there and make them question their connections and saying oh yeah we've been texting
we've been on the phone do I think Brooke's mean absolutely not I think Brooke is beautiful and I
I have loved her up until this point I just think she came back with too much aggression
Have you been speaking to Jimmy at all while you've been gone?
I have.
Yeah.
We spoke quite a bit.
It was nice to get a few calls and texts and things like that.
And yeah, he was really supportive, which made it feel a bit more real.
It did feel like a relationship.
Look, Lily was so emotional and I totally get it.
In that situation, to hear something like that
and have it just push so far into your face would be so confronting.
And you look at the rose ceremony, Laura,
it looked like all the girls had been crying.
100%.
Every single girl there had red eyes.
And I guess, like, I feel almost, like, hyper attuned to this
because there were so many cocktail parties that we had on our season
where all the girls or at least a number of the girls
had been hysterical during the cocktail party
And then maybe the edit hadn't shown the full storyline.
Like you hadn't seen the girls crying or you didn't know.
There was one cocktail party of our season where I was devastated
by a conversation that had been misinterpreted and it was never shown.
None of the conversation was aired.
I had bawled my eyes out at the cocktail party and I was standing there
and I looked it back on screen and I was like, it's so wild that I –
everybody can see that and know I've been crying
but they don't have the context as to why.
So much is missed out.
I thought in that moment you just had an allergic reaction
to like the prawns at night or something.
As if we're getting served prawns on The Bachelor.
Are you joking?
What?
Spiros.
What?
Sharpie dates and prawns.
Caviar at the cocktail party.
My season of The Bachelor was back in the heyday
when there was money, Laura.
I would love to know what you were eating in the batch pad.
What were you eating?
There was a rat in The Bachelor Rat Mansion.
A rat.
Knowing that every single girl at the cocktail party has been crying,
Osher comes in and he does his most sympathetic tone to date.
Ladies, you are safe.
However, there are four of you here that do not yet have a rose.
I thought after the last cocktail party that we were never going to get lower.
We're there now.
We're at a whisper.
Osher will never get lower than this.
I think he had bronchitis.
I thought he had COVID.
Is Osher going to be okay for next week's episode?
That's what I'm really worried about.
Osher's going to be mute on next week's episode if he keeps going down this track.
How the hell is he going to come in next week and go, hey, ladies?
Hey, ladies.
Goodness me.
Osher, I hope you're doing okay, mate.
Okay.
And you know what?
One of our favourites, we said goodbye to the last person who has not had a little
kissy kiss this season, and that was Laura.
and we freaking love Laura.
We love her but it was time for her to go.
There has even been the hashtag trending on Life Uncut Facebook group
which is Free Laura because she has been shackled
and held in the Jimmy dungeon for far too long.
We need to save her.
We need to surround her and protect her.
She needs us.
Thank heavens she's finally been set free into the big bad world again.
Let's get her on the podcast.
I would love to interview her.
I hope she's dating.
I hope she's fired up Tinder and she's just giving it a red hot go.
Apparently the kids are on Hinge these days, according to Sierra.
Three episodes.
The world's longest batch uncut at Recap.
Oh, my goodness.
We are tired.
I'm going to have another glass of wine.
I really hope that next week they don't start doing three, four, five,
six episodes in a night.
I can't take any more.
I will be very drunk if that's the case.
How do we normally wrap it up?
Tell your friends, tell your family.
Ladies.
Hey, sorry, tell your friends.
Hey, wait, wait, wait, no, can we catch up?
Ladies, tell your mom, tell your dad.
No, that is so shit.
Tell your uncle and aunt.
No, we're not ending the episode like that.
And share the love because.
That is, no.
We love love.
Thank goodness that is over.
Oh, my goodness, holy dooly.
we love love i can't even get that low i'll get low oh god
We'll be right back.
