Starting point is 00:00:00 This episode was recorded on Camaragal land. Hi guys, and welcome back to another episode of Life Uncut. I'm Brittany. My name is Matty J. And if you are just joining us, this is our radio show. We do a radio show every day of the week. We package it up. We put it here. It's just the best bits. I don't want to start with a dampener. You know, I don't want to bring the mood down, but I'm just letting people know this is just to manage expectations that I will only be on this podcast the cutdowns of the radio show for another two weeks yeah and then my partner in crime and
Starting point is 00:00:34 your partner in crime but mine laura burn is back on air she's back unless you don't want her to be back and if you guys are vocal enough we can get a cut out of the picture i i think she'd be onto us if i was like no if she does listen to these before it goes out sure but if people start rallying together if they have pitchforks and they're on the street you would be divorced very quickly, Matt. It's not me. You're literally advocating for pitchforks. No, I'm just saying if you want something,
Starting point is 00:01:04 don't be afraid to fight for it. That's all I'm saying. Oh, I hate. Actually, I was going to say I'd hate it. I'd love to be a fly on the wall for you tonight. Hey, the TikTok Awards. Yes, they are on this evening. And you're a big part of it, right?
Starting point is 00:01:18 Hey, before you tell me that, actually, didn't you get beaten by a cat last year? That's the AIMCO Awards, Brittany. AIMCO Awards. I just loved that moment. You keep bringing it up in front of everyone. I was like ordering my coffee the other day and you're like, he lost to a cat, by the way.
Starting point is 00:01:32 And the TikTok awards, they were like, what? Do you know what? As people that are content creators, like I like his content, that's the stuff where like you feel for you. Obviously there's nothing worse than losing to a cat, but it's also brilliant shtick. I can't remember the name of the cat. Princess.
Starting point is 00:01:46 Princess Polly. Princess Isabel. Princess Isabel. Everyone else remembers the name of the cat. How is she going, by the way? No, I think that's the princess of Denmark. Hang on. I think.
Starting point is 00:01:54 Yeah, it is actually. The lady who runs the account, because shock horror. It's not the cat. The cat doesn't post itself. I think she has about eight cats. Princess Honeybell. Princess Honeybell. Very close.
Starting point is 00:02:06 Yeah. Do you remember there was a movie? I used to love it. It was one that we used to watch as a family. Milo and Otis? Milo and Otis. Do you remember, Grace? Oh, my God, I knew.
Starting point is 00:02:14 Milo and Otis. I did not. I've not seen it, but I'm familiar with the concept. You haven't seen it? It is like saying you haven't seen Forrest Gump. What about Napoleon? No, come on. Come on.
Starting point is 00:02:25 How dare you? I'm sorry. Matt, the scene that like lives run free in my head and breaks my heart, Milo and Otis, when they get separated because the cat gets stuck in the bucket in the rapids. Apparently. Oh, I'm sorry to say this. No, don't say it. Apparently they like went through like eight cats for the making of.
Starting point is 00:02:41 I'm so sorry. That's not funny. I'm not laughing. I am not laughing. I saw something in the corner of my eye, but they went through a few cats. I wonder if Princess Honeybell is the same. You reckon she's a fraud? No, not at all.
Starting point is 00:02:52 I'm not saying that. Don't put words in my mouth. There's a lot of cats. I think there's like eight cats. I think Grace is Googling. Yeah, there's 12 cats. Wow. Is this from the movie?
Starting point is 00:03:03 One swallowed by a snake somehow. What? For the movie? Yeah. Oh, I thought you meant Princess Honeybell. Oh, no, no, no. Sorry. I was like, she's dead?
Starting point is 00:03:13 Princess Honeybell was eaten by a snake. People right now are like, no! Matt's like, yes! Put your collars out for Princess Honeybell. Wow, Grace, you just took us on a ride. Sorry, this is Milo and Otis to confirm. I don't know if Princess Honeybell will be at the TikTok Awards. Do you think you're going to have like a bit of a frenemy moment?
Starting point is 00:03:32 No, I'm the bigger man. I don't like cats though. That's just nothing to do with losing at the awards to the cat. I just overall, I'm not a huge cat person other than Raspberry, my cat. I was going to say, you do have a cat. Yeah, I do like Raspberry, but it's going to be an exciting event. I wouldn't say my role is a big role at the awards. What's your role?
Starting point is 00:03:52 Well, Stan, it's being live streamed on TikTok and on Stan. They have an elevator there as like a photo op. So I'm at the elevator for a period. Oh, you're an elevator guy. Big elevator guy. I definitely thought your role was bigger. I thought you were on the red carpet. It's the pink carpet.
Starting point is 00:04:11 It's the pink elevator. To clarify. Mitch will be working on the pink carpet, Mitch Turi. Mitch Turi, yeah. The name may be familiar to some people. and I then do, I think it might be a 10-minute warm-up before the live stream of the awards happen. Great.
Starting point is 00:04:27 That's good. I then come out and I let people know just about, you know, the toilets, about the bar. You have been practising some of your jokes on us. Yes. Yeah. And all I'm going to say, guys, is tune in. No, I just, I have a moment.
Starting point is 00:04:41 I have a moment. They won't be able to watch my part, thankfully. But isn't it live stream? Not my part, no. Sorry, you've definitely sold out like you were live streaming. It's not true. Grace, please play that back. I can't right now, but I'm sure you –
Starting point is 00:04:53 I did clarify. I said before the live stream commences, I come on as a warm-up. Right. Okay. So just be careful, Brittany. This is all – it's all recorded. I definitely thought I could watch you on the live stream, but that is exciting.
Starting point is 00:05:07 You cannot. So, yeah, I'll tell people where the toilets are, where the bar is. It's also already happened by the time this comes out. Yes. Yes. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So you can't watch. Yeah, exactly.
Starting point is 00:05:15 Yeah, thank you. Thank you so much. Yes, thanks for putting that into perspective. But for us, it's about to happen. Yeah. So that'll be fun. It's such a hot day, though. Are you up for any awards or not?
Starting point is 00:05:25 No, never been nominated. Never been nominated. Not huge on TikTok. No, neither am I. I don't use it, but I'm thinking I might have to. Mate, you missed the boat. You missed it. I don't think I've missed it.
Starting point is 00:05:38 I think I haven't launched yet. I think my prime's coming. I'm manifesting. It's very addictive. TikTok, it'll get you once you get bitten by that bug. That is actually why I didn't go on there. I've never been on there because I know it's such an addictive source and it's also a bit of a cesspit.
Starting point is 00:05:53 There's a lot of bullying on there. There is, but there's bullying everywhere. Once you find your people, I'm very lucky I don't get a lot of hate on TikTok. People are very supportive. Because you're a pretty wholesome dad man. And I think the people who are copying hate are the ones that are posting things that are pretty controversial. Or just women in general.
Starting point is 00:06:11 Well, I like the – there's a lot of family creators out there, Mums, who I follow, and Ames is one down from, I think it's Wollongong or Newcastle. Sorry, Ames. But I love her content and she has such a great audience that are really supportive. Yeah. Cute. Well, this week on the show, we are talking about probably the most wild bucket list you've ever heard of.
Starting point is 00:06:33 If there is an overachieving bucket list person, this person is absolutely it. Yeah. If you want to rethink your bucket list before we get to that segment, you should do it now. 100%. Pause the podcast, think about it. And actually, no, listen to it and then you can re-evaluate. Yeah, talk to your friends about it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:49 I'm talking about these are the professions. I've got five here. These are the most likely to cheat on you. So if you're married to someone who works in one of these industries. This is the problem with these segments. I feel like it plants seeds in people's heads. You're right. Because you listen to it and you're like, hang on a minute.
Starting point is 00:07:07 But this is coming from a personal detective. Is that what you call it? Private. Private. Matt. Matt really knows how to tell that story I mean Private detective
Starting point is 00:07:18 Private and personal That's an easy mistake Grace back me up Yeah I actually typed personal detective earlier this morning I did Yes Well it is somebody's personal detective at that time Thank you
Starting point is 00:07:28 Whilst under employment It's not like Brittany to attack me for making a mistake Would you hire a private detective for anything? Probably if I lost something I think Like your dignity i lost that a long time ago all right let's get into it hey manny j what are your thoughts on miss universe oh my god as a whole like not just what's happening now but the pageant itself because i miss universe pageant has been in the news a lot the last couple of weeks a lot of
Starting point is 00:08:00 controversies but do you think we should even be having this pageant that's a very good question i mean growing up i always put the pageant miss universe on a pedestal i think back because you You got to look at hot women. Of course you did. I admired and respected women like Jennifer Hawkins, Tegan Martin. Renee Aris. Renee, yes.
Starting point is 00:08:22 It was the springboard to creating megastars in this country. Yeah. But, yeah, recently it's kind of gotten a little bit murky, lost its shine a little bit. And then this year, is it just me or is there drama? Oh, there is so much drama. There's scandals. Except the drama isn't coming from where you would think.
Starting point is 00:08:41 The drama is not coming from the women competing against each other. In fact, the women have shown a lot of solidarity and a lot of support and I think that that's really, really cool. Basically, Miss Universe has just happened in Thailand in the last week or so. But in the, I guess, the levels, I don't know, the rounds over the last couple of weeks, every round there's been something in the news that's happened.
Starting point is 00:09:02 Someone fell off the stage. She's in ICU. It's a disaster. Oh, my gosh. Miss Jamaica. Can we just have a second? Poor thing. Yeah, she's walked straight off.
Starting point is 00:09:12 She just, and I almost want to laugh, but I won't because I think she's, she doesn't have life-threatening injuries, but she's still in ICU. That's what I've been told. Yeah, I don't know what happened. I don't know how high the stage was. And I also think their costumes are too billowy. It blocks their, like the costumes are too over the top. It blocks their vision.
Starting point is 00:09:29 Except, did you see Miss Nepal? She was a bird, wasn't she? She had like, what's that coloured plastic paper called? Cellophane? Cellophane. Thank you so much, Producer Grace. She just had this, like, skirt. I shouldn't laugh.
Starting point is 00:09:42 I'm sure it's – But you are. But it was – Marley could have done a better job. Right. So you're saying you didn't like the costume. Not a fan of Nepal's. Well, okay. Nepal didn't win, though.
Starting point is 00:09:51 Mexico won. Miss Mexico won. Okay. Can I just say, I think she was great. Yeah. Miss Mexico. And for people who have been following along on the journey of Miss Universe, she was the one – she did a walkout.
Starting point is 00:10:02 She had, like, a fisticuffs with one of the executives. I got really sucked into it, right? because what happened was all the Miss Universes were sitting down in a room. He was giving a speech. He didn't realise that the whole thing was being live streamed and he started to completely berate, like go off at Miss Mexico and she was trying to speak and she was trying to get her opinion across
Starting point is 00:10:25 and he literally was just saying, don't talk, you're dumb, the way he was speaking to her. So she got up and walked out and then it was so, I get goosebumps thinking about it. All the Miss Universes were like, stuff you. Whereas 10 years ago, that wouldn't have happened. Yeah, you're on your own. It's a competition.
Starting point is 00:10:40 Well, not just that, but it's like, oh, this is my only chance and we know that women aren't supposed to have a voice. You're covered in goosebumps right now. Because seeing them all stand up and walk out together and then he had to come out and apologise and he was crying and he was like, you don't know how much pressure I'm under. Like, shut up. Anyway.
Starting point is 00:10:55 That was a great moment. So she's won. So she won. But then I didn't watch enough of Miss Universe to know she did warrant having the victory. But people, the backlash, apparently Miss Philippines. Well, yes, there's a lot of backlash on who they think should have won and whatever else.
Starting point is 00:11:11 Venezuela, Brittany. Yes, Venezuela was up there. Colombia. But what I will say is the judges have come out. So two judges that you get sworn in. I love this, by the way. I know. You take an oath and you swear in that you're going to make the best judgment
Starting point is 00:11:29 of Miss Universe and the world is depending on it. Anyway, one of them has left and he has gone AWOL. He said basically that the top 30 are picked before the competition even starts. They know who they want the top three to be. That is going to be a game changer because the competition cannot continue anymore if the judges have just completely outed them. Can we not do a doco, please, on Miss Universe?
Starting point is 00:11:52 I'll do it. I'll do it. They're just chomping for it. I mean, what next? Next year. What are we in for? Well, do you know what it is too? The thing was it's always been owned by men.
Starting point is 00:12:02 Remember Donald Trump owned it for like 15 years. That's right, yeah. And then finally a woman bought it a couple of years ago and she said, I'm going to change everything. It will never be owned by men again. It's always going to be owned by women. We're going to do the right thing and give them voices. Anyway, someone obviously slipped her a 50
Starting point is 00:12:15 because she sold it like a year later to a man. The twists and turns. Can I ask you a question? Yes, I was asked to do Miss Universe. That was my next question. Was it? Do you think, do you think Mexico, did they deserve to win? Yes or no?
Starting point is 00:12:30 Tell me what's on your mind. I don't know enough about. Don't sit on the fence, Brittany. Give me an answer. I do know. Did she deserve to win? I do know they have to, not only do they have to be beautiful, they have to be good people and they have to have done X amount
Starting point is 00:12:42 of charity work and raise money. And I do know she's in sustainable fashion, so she's trying to change the fashion industry by, she went to study in Italy. And I know that that's her shtick, but I don't know enough about her to say that she should be the winner. I think give it to the Philippines. I said it.
Starting point is 00:12:58 Venezuela. I said it. Venezuela. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Now we're talking about vasectomies. I am yet to get one, but I am thinking about it. It's a strong maybe. Well, Laura, your wife has been edging you into that direction
Starting point is 00:13:16 after you just popped out your third daughter. And I thought before I lock this in, before I pull the trigger, I want to speak to a few people, just get various bits of feedback from those who have experienced a vasectomy and I just want to get their thoughts. Do you know actually what happens, like shooting blanks? Do you know what's – no. You're just shrugging.
Starting point is 00:13:37 I think – I could be wrong here. I think they like get a hot iron and they just like brand underneath your testicles and then like – I'm pretty sure that's not it. I think that's what they do to cows. It fuses, it like clamps and then the scar tissue just like stops it. It's like a plug. that's all I know. That's all I know. And I could be wrong here. So, you know, don't come for me if
Starting point is 00:13:56 you're looking for precise medical information. It is your lucky day because for some reason, the phones are lighting up, which means I'm hoping there are punters out there that are wanting to talk about vasectomies. We have, is it Jay? Jay's on the line. Hey, Jay, thanks for calling up. Hey, guys. How are you? Good. Have you got some vasectomy advice for Matt? Have you had a vasectomy? I do. I have. Maddie, mate, you've got three kids now, mate. I think that Once you hit four, you're heading to key carnival territory and I don't know how that will go. Okay.
Starting point is 00:14:26 Well, Jay, before we get into the procedure. Or the cars. Can I just ask, how many children do you have? I've got two. Okay. Okay, so you called it after two. Yeah, and how old are you, Jay? Yeah, 40, just turned 40.
Starting point is 00:14:40 So my wife suffered severe hyperemesis during pregnancy. So we made the call to stop at two. And how did you find like a doctor? What are they called? A surgeon? I don't know. Is this a doctor? Well, my doctor was called Dr. Snit.
Starting point is 00:14:55 No, he wasn't. Surely that's not the actual name. Pretty self-explanatory. Yeah, Dr. Snit on Google and this is not a paid advertisement. I think he does quite a lot down in Melbourne. And did you put some aside? Some what? S-P-E-R-M?
Starting point is 00:15:14 Yes. Yeah, like, well, just, like, you know. What are you going to do, stash it around the room? No, just to have, I have been told. I can't remember who said this, but you meant to – well, you're not meant to. You have the option of having a sample that they freeze. Who knows what the future holds? It's just there in case.
Starting point is 00:15:31 Did you do that, Jay? No, I didn't even know that was an option and nor would I explore it. I think, like I said, two is enough for us. Matt, it's not – look, maybe you should do it. Maybe you should. My husband's sperm's frozen. I've got that bad boy on ice. Maybe it's not the worst thing if you know you're going to tie that knot for good.
Starting point is 00:15:48 Okay, and then, so Jay, the big question right now is whether you go under, that's a local, no, it's a general. That's a general. A general or a local? No, no. You go local? No, just the local. Honestly, the only painful part of the whole experience is the local anesthetic.
Starting point is 00:16:03 After that, it's, yeah, smooth sailing. Where does the local go? It goes on the base of the penis. Down the bottom. Oh, Matt's cringing. Yeah, I couldn't. So surely that is like, I mean, I don't even have a willy and I feel like that is so painful.
Starting point is 00:16:18 I feel like I'm cringing a little bit. And then what was the recovery time, Jay? Hang on. No, what was that pain out of 10 first? Oh, look, that pain was not too bad. Maybe like an 8 out of 10. Not too bad. It's nearly 100% pain.
Starting point is 00:16:32 Well, look, I'd compare 10 out of 10 being childbirth. So, yeah, a solid 8, I reckon. I mean, I don't know. But again, only a few seconds and it's all... I'm nervous. Okay. Yeah, and the recovery. And the recovery.
Starting point is 00:16:44 Look, I think, yeah, just an afternoon, just lying on the couch watching TV or some sports. See, that sounds pretty good. That was pretty good, although the worst part for me is that I came home and my daughter, who was two at the time, yeah, she ran and head-butted me straight into the crotch. Oh, no. Out of 10, what was that pain like?
Starting point is 00:17:04 I was still numb at that point, so that was okay, but I think the swelling was a bit worse than expected because of that little, yeah. Okay, this might be a dumb question, And, like, Brittany, just bear with me. Do you feel different? Do you feel weaker? Like, did you go to the gym afterwards and go,
Starting point is 00:17:20 I can't lift the dumbbells that I used to lift before I met Mr Snip? Does that happen? I know we said there's no dumb questions, but it turns out there are. That was my main concern, Maddie. Honestly, I was concerned about, like, lower libido or enjoyment through sex or just, I guess, the superpower gone. But absolutely no difference at all. It was like I never had it done.
Starting point is 00:17:40 You don't feel lesser than, which is what I think a lot of men worry they're going to feel. Yes. Any advice before I go? Stop being a bitch. Avoid the gay bar. Get it done. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:17:52 Thank you, Jay. Thanks so much. That's been invaluable information. Thank you so much. I was liking Jay up until that last little point. He's like, shut up and get it done. He's like, man up. You're still going to be able to bicep curl.
Starting point is 00:18:04 Sounds like my wife. Hey, I know people are probably sick of talking about this, and it's something that I'm on the fence with, AI. One minute, I love it because it's so useful and like there's so – ChatGPT. Do you use ChatGPT? I – yes, I do now. I didn't.
Starting point is 00:18:25 Were you hesitated for a second? Because I really fought it and I just didn't know how good it was because I refused to use it. How do you use it though? Well, I've been changing the way I use it the last couple of days. I used it a couple of days ago to tell me where the best cafe was in my area instead of Googling it. So I don't mind using it for that kind of stuff.
Starting point is 00:18:43 Did it work? It did work, yeah. It came up with really good ideas and it told me which ones were closed or open because I was on holiday so I didn't know the area. So I think for that kind of stuff. But I pushed off using it for so long because you hear all these horror stories and you hear it's taking over the world. You know some people, okay, they like plug it in to pay all their bills,
Starting point is 00:19:02 respond to all their emails. But then are you giving it control of your bill? Yeah, it's like deep embedded in your life. I'm not that. Whereas I'm like, write me an Instagram caption and that's it. Do you? Do you take the dashes out? Of course.
Starting point is 00:19:15 Hey, I saw a news article the other day. It was in the paper. It was actually a physical, tangible paper. And it was obvious that the article had been written by ChatGPT because they left the part in where it said, would you like me to make this more catchy? With one, they left it in and it got printed. Anyway, that's not what I want to talk to you about.
Starting point is 00:19:33 I wanted to talk to you about the dangers of it. And I feel like we're in too deep now to escape. But how is this? There is this little teddy bear, Matt, like as in, I'm showing you a picture, literally like a kid's teddy bear. That looks really cute. Actually, Marley and Lola, I think, would love that under the Christmas tree. It's so cute.
Starting point is 00:19:49 They're calling it the smartest AI-powered plush companion. That sounds lovely. So it's this teddy for sale. It's been sold out. It's called Follow Toy AI Toy. It says, it's the smart AI-powered plush companion that goes beyond cuddles. Our adorable bear combines advanced AI with friendly interactive features, making it the perfect friend for both kids and adults.
Starting point is 00:20:10 Well, imagine this. A little teddy bear writes my captions for me and then recommends you a cafe to go to. That sounds great. It does sound great. For 99 bucks. That's a bargain. Well, the problem is it's all just been recalled
Starting point is 00:20:21 because the teddy's gone rogue and it's starting to have like sexually explicit conversations. Oh, my God. Which might be great for the adult, but it's not good for your toddler. It's not good for your five or six-year-old. It's starting to give advice on things like where to find knives and, like, weapons and things like that.
Starting point is 00:20:40 What? Because I guess this is the problem, right? How do you stop it? How can you possibly train the AI to only go so far? Because it's at the point now where the AI trains itself. Like, it learns itself. It learns from every time it hears conversation. You mean this cute, cuddly little teddy bear is telling people
Starting point is 00:20:57 where to get knives from? Well, it's that horror movie, Chucky. It's giving cute Chucky. But imagine, like, I don't know, as a parent now, Would you buy any AI-powered toys for your kids? Because it's like one part you're like, wow, it could be so educational, but on the other part you've got a Chucky. Have people not watched The Terminator?
Starting point is 00:21:16 No. What's the other one? Megan. I mean, we've been told time and time again how this story will end and yet we just choose to ignore it. Well, the AI specialist the other day was saying it's done. We can't stop it now. Oh, then just buy the teddy.
Starting point is 00:21:33 Who cares? Don't go and buy any teddies that has been recalled. I don't know. Be careful out there with the AI world. I think any little – Watch out for the teddies. Watch out for – They'll get you.
Starting point is 00:21:44 Who thought we'd live in a generation where we'd have to say be careful of that cute little teddy because it literally could end your life. Well, that's where we're at. Matty J, Penny for your thoughts. Happy Schoolies Week, Brittany. Oh, God, that makes me feel old. Happy – were you ever a toolie?
Starting point is 00:22:01 No, I wasn't even a schoolie, let alone a toolie. Okay, before I talk about what I did for schoolies many years ago, for me it was back in 2004. Can you believe that? Oh, my God. I would have been the same year, I think. What did you do for your, like, end of year celebration? I am a real nerd.
Starting point is 00:22:18 So I was, like, the only one in my year out of all my friends that didn't go to schoolies. I moved alone to Italy instead because I was like, you guys go to schoolies and waste your money. I'm going to go get cultured and learn another language. And I lived there for a year. So I didn't get to go to schoolies. Too good for the Gold Coast.
Starting point is 00:22:33 Not too good, but I couldn't, for some reason, I could not wait. And I loved my town. I loved my school. I counted down the days till I could move to another country. I don't know what it was. So I missed it. How much did you have to try and save up to go to Italy? Not enough.
Starting point is 00:22:48 I worked there illegally for cash. So it was a rough year, yeah. But I didn't save that much. Do you regret not going to schoolies? Not one iota. Really? No. But you would have been a toolie.
Starting point is 00:23:00 No, I never was. And also, that's very offensive. Actually, because you were a bit of a geek. I saw the photos. I know. We've all seen the photos. I went to the Gold Coast. That was, it was the done thing.
Starting point is 00:23:12 Back in my day, everyone was very excited. We stayed at the Peninsula Hotel, which is still around. Every time I drive through the Gold Coast, I look at the Peninsula and I'm like. You get a shut off. But I had a room. It was about six of my best mates. We were up there together in a few bedroom apartment. and it was like back then it was pretty wild on the Gold Coast.
Starting point is 00:23:33 It was very dangerous going out to the beach. I don't think it was as organised as what it is now. They have like concerts on the beach. It was just literally thousands of kids all just underage drinking. It was chaos at our age. In the streets, yeah. It was like just riots filled down the streets. The police could not control people.
Starting point is 00:23:52 It was different. I feel like it's quite a controlled, happy environment now. Now they have a lot going on to make sure that kids aren't just, like, destroying the place. But, yeah, back then it was wild. And I remember going down to the beach and I was like, nope, not for me. And now we're facing Bonnie Blue at schoolies. I know.
Starting point is 00:24:11 Well, I watched a video recently and it's of kids who are currently on the Gold Coast enjoying their schoolies and it's the one bit of advice they've been given from their parents. What do you think was the one bit of advice, Britt? Any guesses? Protection. There's a few protection calls. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:25 One of them might surprise you with the feedback they're getting. Okay. I'm told not to get an STD, so... Anything your parents have told you not to do while on school is? Don't go on the balcony. Yes, balcony! Actually, my parents did say that. Low-key, they were really stressed about that.
Starting point is 00:24:40 Don't do drugs. Yeah, don't do drugs, don't do drugs. She said just don't go too crazy. Don't take a drink that's already been opened. Open them yourself. No drugs and no pregnancy. Don't get pregnant. It was by her mum.
Starting point is 00:24:51 My mum said don't do what your brother does. My ex's mum said to me, don't put anything in your mouth that you're not supposed to and then winked at me. I was told not to get an STD, so don't jump off the balcony. Oh, balconies? No, I trust myself. Don't fall off the balcony. Wow, the balcony was the strong contender there.
Starting point is 00:25:11 Well, I remember back in my day, people used to just throw the furniture off the balcony. It was the done thing. You know, it's because the Gold Coast, everything in the skyscrapers, right? So you're staying like 20 floors up. Yeah. you're 18, you're highly intoxicated, you're showing up in front of your friends. The concept of schoolies, it is crazy.
Starting point is 00:25:31 What are we doing? What are we doing sending 17-year-olds? I'm 17. I was 17 when I finished school. And we're sending them for a week at high-rises? It's actually insane, isn't it? With alcohol? My kids never go to schoolies.
Starting point is 00:25:45 They can go on a family holiday to Fiji or something. Your parents must have been thrilled when you said, I'm going to go to Italy instead of the Gold Coast. To be honest, it was worse. It was worse because my dad's like, what do you mean you're moving alone to the other side of the world? Now, remember, we're so old. We didn't have – you don't have a phone that you can just call up.
Starting point is 00:26:03 You don't have a FaceTime. I had to take a card. Remember when you got phone cards that had like 30 digits in them and I used to have to walk down. I have to email ahead in the week, lock in a time, Sunday, 3 p.m. Then I would walk into my local phone box. You have to enter in the 45-digit phone card to call back and then you had your, like, 15 minutes phone time.
Starting point is 00:26:23 So my dad was beside himself thinking I was on the other side of the world alone. We both had struggles. I was surviving on the street from furniture being thrown off balconies. You were trying to call your parents. Very similar experience. Very similar. I don't know. I think school should change.
Starting point is 00:26:36 I think we should all just be going on group holidays to, like, to the Fijis or something. To the Fijis. No, I mean the Fijis of the world, like the beautiful islands. Singular. Fiji. The Fijis. You've been here a while now, Matty J.
Starting point is 00:26:52 You're part of the furniture. I'm getting very comfortable. It's lovely. My pants are still on. Thank God. Laura would be asking questions if you started coming to work with your pants off. Or going home with your pants off. Hey, I have a question for you.
Starting point is 00:27:05 This is a question that I saw floating around the interwebs. And it was the answers. There were thousands of people that had commented. And the answers were so divisive. And I found it so interesting. And Producer Grace, I'm going to want your input on this as well. When you visualise the year, how do you visualise it? Like think of the months of the year, January to December.
Starting point is 00:27:29 How are you seeing that in front of you right now? Producer Grace, should I go first or should you go first? You go first. You go first, Matt. When I think about it, like if I'm like, oh, did that happen in January or was it June? To me, it's a calendar. Oh.
Starting point is 00:27:44 It's a calendar. It's like a grid. Like in your eyes, you're lifting up the flap. Well, it's more of like a long roll, like toilet roll, but it's – I think that indicates something entirely different. But it's just – to me it's like a bit of a grid system where obviously you have like, you know, 1 to 30 odd and then you – Right.
Starting point is 00:28:05 So you literally see January, the days, and then you would flap that flap over and it goes to the new month. I think so. I think so. How do you see it, Grace? I'm a line. I see it as a line. on the left is January on the right is December yeah interesting so I see it the same way so
Starting point is 00:28:21 there were I mean that was the first calendar answer I saw like that Matt I don't think many people saw it like that what does that mean guys we'll dive into that but I also see it if you just quickly told me to visualize it January's on the left and it goes all the way one really long line and then December's at the end but there were also some people Grace that saw it linear but like vertically so like they they go down like the toilet roll i think yeah but then there are some weirdos out there that have seen it circular so they go all the way around in a big circle and they meet back at the top for the record if that's you and you're a circular person i don't think you're weird i think it's clever i think it's really interesting but what
Starting point is 00:29:03 it did say the people that saw it linear were generally thought of as more highly intelligent Okay. What about the toilet roll people? They didn't actually make it onto the – Okay. Okay. Can I ask a question then? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:17 Okay. Just to figure out who we are, the type of people – The world is round. Okay. So do you have internal thoughts? I love this one too. I do. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:27 I have a constant internal monologue. And is your internal monologue – is it your own voice? My own voice. Okay. I have a lot of empty space. I don't have a lot of internal monologue. I'm not a huge talker to myself in my mind. Are you?
Starting point is 00:29:43 How do you make a decision? I still think, Matt. But what do you think? The internal monologue's different. The internal monologue is like constant talking back and forth, like not a lot of silence or downtime. Whenever I think, that's all internal thoughts. It's all communicated.
Starting point is 00:29:57 So when you stop talking right now, what is your mind going like? I've got a few thoughts. One is that I need to check my car. My tires need air. I also think that I wouldn't mind a drink later on. Also, we need baby wipes. But do you talk back to yourself in your brain? So are you saying –
Starting point is 00:30:15 No, the thoughts are just yelling at me right now. Yeah, and same for you, Grace. Same as me. I'm not having a conversation inside my brain. I'm just talking at myself. That's just thoughts. That's not the internal monologue. Well, then you do have an internal monologue.
Starting point is 00:30:26 Well, yeah, everyone has a thought. Not everyone. The debate that you're thinking, that's not thoughts. Internal monologues are actually like going back and forth and like running through things. May I just – excuse me. Monologue is not back and forth. Monologue is one person.
Starting point is 00:30:42 Yes, I got her. I got her, Grace. I think you're confusing the debate. Oh, no, I think you're confusing what monologue means, Brittany. Because you're just having thoughts. Yeah, that's a monologue. Oh, my God. I just lost a brain cell.
Starting point is 00:30:56 Okay, let's go back to Matt Beano. Okay, toilet paper. You and me both, Brittany. Toilet paper calendar. Toilet paper calendar. Hey, guys, ask yourself, are you a toilet paper? Are you a linear or are you a circular when you see the month of the year? And if you're confused as well, great.
Starting point is 00:31:11 Welcome to the club. Sorry, Laura. Brittany, I have a question for you. Yes, it is awkward when you call me Laura. It's because I just can't stop thinking about her. I love her so much. Shout out to Laura who's currently at home with Poppy. Yeah, cute.
Starting point is 00:31:28 Our eight-week-old. Look, being a parent is, it's a minefield. A minefield of situations where you don't know if you're doing something right or doing something wrong. Yep. So Marley, who is my eldest, you may know that, Brittany. Yeah, she's what, six? I think she's six.
Starting point is 00:31:43 I think. I think she is six. She is. She is. She will be seven next year, currently in her first year of school. Now, I don't know if you know this, Britt. I didn't know this because I was one of those weird kids where I like never took a day off school. Ever.
Starting point is 00:32:00 I remember we used to have awards at the end of the year for kids who never missed a day of school. That's because your mum's a teacher, so she was dragging you there. That's it. And I don't know, it was like, it was a bit of a competition amongst the kids in my school of like... You nerds. Who could not?
Starting point is 00:32:13 I remember being sick and I couldn't go to school and I was like, damn it, I won't get the award. Weird award as well to have at the end of the school year. Well, not really. It's a lot of incentive to get the kids there. Like, it worked. But then I think like those times when I was unwell and I would like drag myself to be at school
Starting point is 00:32:29 and sit there in my desk. And give every other kid the chicken pox. I know, like Mrs Smith, my teacher, was like, Jesus, Maddie, just stay home. It's all right, dude. But I now know that there is a quota. There is a number of days. And Britt, tell me if you didn't know this.
Starting point is 00:32:44 And if I'm telling you for the first time, you're welcome. You're allowed to miss, this is in New South Wales, 10% of the school year. Have you done the math? What does that equate to? I'm glad you asked. It is 20 days. Okay.
Starting point is 00:32:59 Once you then reach your quota, it's called here chronic absenteeism. You then get reprimanded. You get brought in. As a parent. As a parent, yeah. And look, we are at the end of the year and Marley has reached her quota. She is at her limit. Have you taken her out 20 days this year?
Starting point is 00:33:18 Yes, I have. That's a lot. Don't judge me. Out of curiosity, is this because she's unwell? Sometimes we have a doona day. Shut up. You cannot leave her home from school for a doona day. Because it's very stressful.
Starting point is 00:33:32 It's a lot going on. It's her first year of school and sometimes she's exhausted and I let her recharge. I give her a couple of doona days throughout the year. I'm not into it. I'm not into it. And then sometimes, like last week, for example, we wanted to go down the coast and it's really hard in the afternoon
Starting point is 00:33:49 on a Friday with traffic. It's really bad. You know, adds on an extra hour. So we thought we'll just take her out of school. But then that's the issue. We had maxed out our quota. So are you being called into the principal's office? So if you want to take a day off, you have to fill out a form
Starting point is 00:34:04 and you have to give a reason why. And I'm sure they don't really care that much, but still I get quite nervous because I don't want to just say, oh, we're having a weekend away down the coast. But they're also not approving. Oh, Maddie J wants to do it in a day again. They're definitely not approving that. I don't know if this is a new thing,
Starting point is 00:34:20 but I remember when we were at school, just one particular year, my parents took us all out. There's four kids and we went like not around Australia because we didn't go the whole way but we went on a huge trip into the middle of Australia through all the deserts and we were out of school for ages. So did you bring books? Did you learn on the road?
Starting point is 00:34:37 No. Oh. But we learnt a lot about life and like experience. So it was funny because we learnt how to build fires and make damper because we camped our way around Australia. You do like fire. I do. What's it called?
Starting point is 00:34:50 You're a pyro. You're a pyro. But I think it was a bit more lenient then. I think, you know what, these rules are probably more in place to keep an eye on maybe kids from families that are not lucky enough to have Duna days. But I had to then tell Marley because I freaked out. I didn't want to say that on the Friday just gone
Starting point is 00:35:08 that she was going to just have a day off because we wanted to go down the coast. So I had to say to Marley, you've got gastro. That's the reason. Because if you're sick, you don't need to have one of those reasons. Does Marley know she doesn't have gastro? But Marley was like, what do you mean? And I was like, well, just if your teacher asks, just say you had gastro.
Starting point is 00:35:28 And she's like, but I didn't. And I'm like, yeah, but we're playing a game here. And you're like, let's just pretend that if you get asked on Monday if you're still sick, you have to say, no, I'm much better. And she was like, but for what reason? And I was like, because of the chronic absenteeism, Marley, okay? Get it together, Marley. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:35:47 Okay, well, let us know how it goes next week. I've been so stressed out. They're probably listening to this right now. No, they're not because – They're teaching, hopefully. Yeah, hopefully they're just packing up the classroom. It's The Pickup with Britt Hockley, Laura Byrne, and our little tripod, Maddie J.
Starting point is 00:36:02 Well, the tripod is the wrong thing to say. I need to start thinking through. I need to start thinking through things that I say before I say them. Where was your head at when you said tripod? I was trying to think of like the third wheel. I meant to be third wheel and tripod came. I'm sorry because you're not a little tripod. I'm sure you would be a bigger one.
Starting point is 00:36:21 Do you know what, I take that as a compliment. Can I just say, as producer Grace, I did not write tripod. Anyway, what's going on, Matt? Okay, look, I have some information. This is hot off the press and I think a lot of people out there who happen to be single or actually could be dating one of these professions would find this very beneficial. Now this is a list, this is a certified list of the one, two, three, four,
Starting point is 00:36:47 five most likely professions to cheat on you. Can I guess? I love this game. Have one guess. I reckon pilot has to be in the top five. Oh, you are so close. So close. I'm going to say like finance slash lawyer.
Starting point is 00:37:02 I'm going to say. No, no, colder, colder, colder. I'm going to say doctor. Okay. Oh, very, very. Like surgeon. Very warm. So this, just in case you're wondering,
Starting point is 00:37:10 because you're like, how is this a certified list? It has been put together by none other than Paul Evans. Who's that? A private detective. Okay. So he spends his life like catching cheaters and he's put together, good at him for archiving all the information being like, oh, and Ralph here was a cheater.
Starting point is 00:37:29 What did he do? So did I even get one right? I'll tell you the five. You're very, very close. Starting at number one. Actually, these are like no particular order, but the first that I'm going to mention is IT professionals, which I found quite surprising.
Starting point is 00:37:42 Why is that? Because they can like hack phones and stuff. Yes. Yes, they know how to like, you know, cover their tracks. You think they're the ones you can trust because they, I don't want a blanket statement, but they're usually a bit like geeky and sweetie and you think that that'd be like the one that you could take home and trust. They're the ones you need to watch out for.
Starting point is 00:37:58 Wow. Okay. So if you were dating or thinking about dating someone who mentions they're an IT professional, just have your guard up. Maybe IT for them means inner turmoil. Well said. Or I'm tumultuous. Well said.
Starting point is 00:38:11 Very good. Very good. Or I'm trauma. This one is also surprising. A call center employee. I actually used to do, I was a cold caller. Explains a lot. Back in the day, I would try and refinance your home loan
Starting point is 00:38:22 and I think there were a lot of people in the room who I worked with who were cheaters, myself not included. That just seems like a weird flex. Like why is a call centre person, what about that is making them cheat just because they're on the phone all day? Are they phone sexing? It's long hours. I think for the call centre employees, it's like inner work romance
Starting point is 00:38:43 because it's so stressful. You bond with those people you're close with at work. I wouldn't have expected that. Also a surprise, but Paul Evans, the detective, he doesn't lie. He doesn't lie. We have to trust him. Sales reps, which I think sales people, and I used to be in sales, so I can say this, they're all a bit slimy.
Starting point is 00:38:59 Is that because I think when you say sales rep, I think the old school knock on the door, do you want to buy my Tupperware? Let me come into your kitchen and show you my plastic. Yeah, and also where's your bedroom? Let's do it. Doesn't matter. I'm married. Who cares?
Starting point is 00:39:09 Boom. Yeah. The sales reps. Nailed it. So you said pilots. He didn't mention pilots, but he has mentioned here flight attendants. Yeah, I think pilots are worse. I think you have to also, I think you're lumping the pilots.
Starting point is 00:39:22 You want to know why? Talk to me. When I was younger, I was a nanny in Italy for a family that was, he was a pilot and she was the chief air hostess and he used to cheat on her all the time. How did you know? Because she used to trauma dump on me and say he's cheating on me. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:39:36 Because he flies the plane, he has a little cute hat so it's hot and sexy and then they get somewhere for a couple of days and there's just all the time in the world. Yeah. Now, there's a lot of great pilots. It's Jimmy the pilot from The Bachelor. Great. Shout out to Jimmy.
Starting point is 00:39:49 I think they're really happily married. But yeah, he's the best. It's not a blanket statement. All pilots bar Jimmy. Yeah. Watch out for. Now, you mentioned doctors, surgeons. Surgeons, doctors, yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:01 Yeah, and I think they are the ones you need to watch out for. I think we're all, you know, you mentioned you're a doctor, you're a surgeon. They're the ones with the God complex. I dated a surgeon for quite a while and he cheated on me, like, whenever he could. I think everyone I've spoken to over the age of 35 has been cheated on by someone who works in the medical profession.
Starting point is 00:40:23 Yeah. Also, shout out to the medical workers of this country who are the backbone of making sure we are healthy, but stop cheating, okay, for God's sake. I feel bad there's so many people in the car right now that's like, I work in there and I would never cheat. These are just, look, it's Paul Evans, it's not us. It's Paul Evans.
Starting point is 00:40:39 It's Paul Evans. This is Paul. Also do agree with Paul. He did say here, he's like, These are the number one cheaters The medical professionals Are there any more? No, that's all I've got
Starting point is 00:40:49 Do you know what? I'm actually surprised I'm very lucky that I trust my husband Actually, wait You used to work in medical I did, yeah That's how I know how many of them cheat Not me
Starting point is 00:41:00 Were you? Be honest Honest I will take a lie detector I don't know if I trust you Grace, do you trust Do you think I trust her
Starting point is 00:41:07 Yeah, I have a trustworthy face Not personality Just my face You've only known me three years I was just about to say something that was really integral and deep. I'm sure it was. But it's gone, so let's move on. We're talking bucket lists.
Starting point is 00:41:26 And there is a reason because there is somebody that I have come across that is about to finish the most wild bucket list in history. I think it's a great time to talk about bucket list items because end of the year. Yeah. I think it's good to have goals, have plans, something you're working towards. Before I tell you what he has done.
Starting point is 00:41:44 Hit me. Do you have one? Yeah, I was speaking to a parent recently. Their child is in the same class as Marley at school and we had a little play date and as we were chatting, whilst the kids were playing, we were going through some of their family holiday pics and they had done a holiday. The husband, he was a very good sailor.
Starting point is 00:42:05 He'd worked on super yachts, loved the ocean and they had hired a boat and done, I think it was a three-month trip in the Mediterranean where they sailed around like Croatia and Malta and the Greek islands and they were going through photos and it was just, it looked like the most incredible trip. So with the kids as well, they all lived on this boat for three months. Have you ever sailed once in your life? Because I'm feeling like.
Starting point is 00:42:31 But I thought to myself, you know what, there's one thing that I would love to do before I cark it and that is learn how to sail and take the family, maybe not three months because it's a really long time, but go to Europe and sail our way through. Imagine pulling into ports. You'd have to get a captain. No, not for me.
Starting point is 00:42:52 So you're never taking that bucket list off. What's yours then? Well, I have a few. I'm very lucky. When I think of travel-based, I've done a lot of what I wanted to do, but I really want to, and I'm going to try and do it this year, I want to go into one of those igloo accommodation in, like, Finland where it's all glass and you can just – the whole roof is glass.
Starting point is 00:43:12 You see the Northern Lights through the roof. You know, like that. I want to do that. Well, that'll never happen. I think it's going to. And the other thing I want to do is free dive with – what are the big whales called? Whale sharks?
Starting point is 00:43:24 Whale sharks. Yeah, I've done humpback whales, but I haven't done the whale shark. You're so immature. You're laughing because I said hump. No, I just like – it's like I've never met anyone who has like a list of animals they want to swim with. and I also I've done sharks
Starting point is 00:43:40 and humpback whales I've done turtles but I really want to cross off that list get those whale sharks my last thing is and this is probably the biggest thing
Starting point is 00:43:46 I really want to be in a acting a movie or a TV series gotcha producer Grace has a similar bucket list what's your
Starting point is 00:43:55 what's your bucket list okay I was trying to think I feel like I'm on the right track I feel like I've done enough things but I would like to be in an infomercial like you know
Starting point is 00:44:04 in an infomercial and it's like some woman trips and spills some popcorn. Does this happen to you? Yes. If only there was a gadget that could help. That's my dream.
Starting point is 00:44:12 I reckon, Matt, you and I could make that happen. I reckon we could make Grace's dream of being in an infomercial happen. It's hard because daytime TV, it's like all the, you know, Studio 10 back in the day. We could have gotten you on there. I have some connections there. Oh, what if now? I waited too late.
Starting point is 00:44:27 I know, yes. What if we make, okay, bear with me. We'll air this. What if we make our own infomercial? We film it. Grace films it. We put it online and then that might be her audition to get her on TTV. Next week's pretty busy for me.
Starting point is 00:44:40 I'm fucking alive. Okay, well, I want to tell you about this guy, Carl Bushby. This is the reason. Hang on a second. This is the reason we're talking about bucket lists. Bush Pig? Bushby. Bushby.
Starting point is 00:44:50 That's a cracker of a last name. Carl Bushby, in two days' time, is expected to finish his bucket list item, which is walking around the world. Now, guess how long it has taken him. I reckon two years. Cute. 27 years. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:45:10 Come on. And he's finishing in apparently two days. Yep. He's from Hull in the United Kingdom. He started in Chile in 1998. Surely he's taken a couple of breaks because 27 years, that's too long. Oh, it's pretty intense. You should see him.
Starting point is 00:45:29 How's he looking? He must be quite trim. Well, this is him in 1998 when he started. I need to find one now. He's gone through it. He's got pictures covered in icicles. He's got really long, scraggly hair. He's sunburned.
Starting point is 00:45:41 It's 27 years. It's actually insane. No, that's just ridiculous. I mean, his poor family. They're like, when's Carl coming home? But also, how do you – yeah, I'm going for a walk. How do you fund that? That's what I would know.
Starting point is 00:45:52 I didn't look into it enough. I just saw the heading. But how do you fund that? Yeah, no, that's too much for me. Like, if he had done it under five years, I would have been impressed. 27, you're taking – But you wouldn't even do that. You're taking the piss, mate.
Starting point is 00:46:03 You tell him, Matt. Yeah, I will. Sorry, Carl. Let's try and get him on the radio. That would be cool. Let's not. No, next week. Very busy.
Starting point is 00:46:10 Producer Grace, that's for you, and then I'll get you in an infomercial. Hey, Matt, it is time for... Yeah, and these ones are actually fun. You know how sometimes they're not fun and we just try and pretend they are? No, I've got to say, every Friday so far since I started, they have all been fun with a capital F. We want to send you into the weekend being the coolest, smartest person at the party. You can whip these bad boys out and impress someone, I guarantee it.
Starting point is 00:46:40 All right, Matt. First one, I'm going to ask you to answer this. How many peanuts, roughly, do you think it takes to make a jar of peanut butter? Can I just confirm what size jar? Just like the regular jar. A regular size jar? Okay, I'm going to say... Don't overthink it.
Starting point is 00:46:56 Okay, this is just a wild stab in the dark. If you get it, I'm going to give you... It's going to be a pudding from Woolworths that we brought in here today. 540. Did you look? Yeah, I looked. Grace and I just looked at each other and I was like, you cheated. Sorry, sorry.
Starting point is 00:47:15 I couldn't help myself. You cheated for Fun Fact Friday. I looked at Fun Fact Friday. I'm sorry. That was the only one that I saw, hand on heart. It's not as fun when you cheat, Matt. Sorry. I know.
Starting point is 00:47:25 Grace and I are really upset. We're all having fun, right? Everyone having fun. I'm not. Grace, having fun. You're forgiven. Okay. This once.
Starting point is 00:47:32 Honestly, hit me. How easily we forget, Grace. Forgiven but not forgotten. That's what it must feel like to be really smart. The look on your face. I've never had that look before. You enjoy that feeling. I know.
Starting point is 00:47:43 I was like, oh, I want that again. Okay. What colour do you think the hippopotamuses, the hippopotami, which one is it? Hippo. Yeah. Well said. What colour is a hippo's milk? Oh, dang.
Starting point is 00:47:59 That was a really hard way to get that. I'm just, I feel like every animal, their milk is always white. Oh. Okay. I hope you enjoyed that feeling of being smart. No, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. I haven't locked in my answer just yet. Purple.
Starting point is 00:48:14 No, purple's an unusual choice. A hippo's milk is pink. That was, I was close. Don't ask me why. I don't know that part. It's because they have like a unique, what they call blood sweat, which comes out as like red and it mixes with milk and makes it look pink.
Starting point is 00:48:31 And it's also the taste of strawberries. Okay. Can I just say that? That was a joke. Just in case anyone uses that at a party, don't listen to me. Don't quote Maddie J. Okay, speaking of pink, do you know where a flamingo's pink colour comes from?
Starting point is 00:48:51 It's feathers. Okay, here's a question. Grace, thank you. Thank you for that laughter. What colour is a flamingo? White. No. Oh, damn it!
Starting point is 00:49:00 They're grey. Where does the pink come from? They only turn pink because of what they eat. Flowers. No, because they like to dine on, like, three-course dishes of algae and shrimp. Oh, yes. And then they contain, like, this natural red-yellow pigment, and then that comes out.
Starting point is 00:49:16 It's like when, you know, they say humans, if you eat too many carrots, your skin turns orange. Flamingos are the same. If they gorge on the algae... That is interesting. Yeah, isn't that cool? An animal fact is just that's delicious. WWW takes longer to say than World Wide Web.
Starting point is 00:49:34 I disagree. WWW, World Wide Web. I would say they're on par. I would say it's subjective. But, hey, I'm not going to attack the facts today. I'll have to take your word for it. I think that's subjective, Grace. It wasn't very fun, that one.
Starting point is 00:49:47 Just a little point of reference. Yeah, the internet facts. In Switzerland, owning only one guinea pig or parrot is illegal. you can go to prison because they are like pack animals that need friends and it's really unfair to have just one of them because they're lonely. The Swiss are a strange bunch. No offence. That's my husband.
Starting point is 00:50:09 No offence there. And my husband used to have guinea pigs. Oh, okay. There we go. A little clue. I'm going to say, yeah, that's true. It is true, yeah. Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:50:16 Sorry. It wasn't a question. It was a statement. It wasn't true or false. I'm telling you. Okay. Got that? Okay.
Starting point is 00:50:24 What were his guinea pig's names? Guinea and pig. Yeah, okay. It's very Swiss. It is, isn't it? Like just to call a spade a spade. Okay, last one. You're taller in the morning than at night.
Starting point is 00:50:36 Yeah, true, true. Also a statement, but thanks. I swear I used to guess them. Am I making that up? No, sometimes I'm just... Am I meant to just sit here passively and absorb the facts? Is that what we're doing now? Should I stop guessing?
Starting point is 00:50:48 We do. No, we just see how we're feeling on the day. This is very confusing for me. Do you want to ask me a true or false? True or false? Humans share 50% of their DNA with bananas. False. Oh, it's true.
Starting point is 00:51:06 That's true. I don't have any... That's not true. ...additional information here. That's true. That is true. We are not 50% banana. We are.
Starting point is 00:51:13 Grace, can you... It's true. Oh, my God. I don't believe it. Isn't that... This is... We're all having fun. This is fun, right, guys?
Starting point is 00:51:20 I don't believe it. I know. Brittany, are you getting annoyed? This is a fun game. I can't be half banana. The similarity is limited to housekeeping genes, which is like basic cellular functions. Yes, it's not DNA.
Starting point is 00:51:32 So it's just like atoms, kind of. It's not DNA. You're not like... I can guarantee you my ancestry test that I just sent off is not coming back with banana. Fun fact, Friday really took a turn, didn't it?
