Starting point is 00:00:00 Life Uncut podcast acknowledges the traditional custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their elders, past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today. This episode is recorded on Gadigal land of the Aurora Nation. Hi guys and welcome back to another episode of Life Uncut. I'm Laura. I'm Brittany. I'm Mitch. This is the pick-up show where we package up all the best bits from our radio show.
Starting point is 00:00:32 Pretty rogue show, wasn't it? Yeah, we get a bit kooky, don't we? We've covered some ground. By the end of the... You did that on the show this week. Remember, Laura? It's a ghost. There's a really funny article.
Starting point is 00:00:41 There was a man who has been arrested and charged for pretending to be a ghost in a cemetery. And I think it's a bloody great story. Do you think he was having fun or was he being malicious? I think he was having fun. I think he's... Yeah, I think he's just bored. It's like, I'm going to scare some people. You're like teenagers out in the field doing, like, cow tipping and stuff.
Starting point is 00:00:57 I feel like it's akin to that. That's not even real. Who cow tips? I feel like someone must have had to have done it for people to talk about it so openly. Cow tipping and planking. Remember that trend? I was about to say, my profile picture on Facebook for a good three years was me planking. Was it?
Starting point is 00:01:10 At the Easter show. Yeah, I planked on a bale of hay. I'd love to see that photo if you can find it. It's been deleted. I don't reckon it has. Yeah, I was just going to say, I deleted my Twitter because all the celebrities were doing it and I just want to join in on the craze to see if anyone picks up on it because all the celebs are deleting all their past tweets.
Starting point is 00:01:25 So I deleted mine. So in case I said anything bad. And no one picked up on it. No one cared. I thought maybe I'll get press. Mitch Turi deletes all tweets, but no, no one did. Are they deleting their tweets because of the fear of something that they tweeted back in the day resurfacing?
Starting point is 00:01:37 So it's just easier to cleanse yourself. Yeah, and I just thought I don't use Twitter and I probably would have said dumb things when I was 16 on Twitter. I had the internet in high school, so I just deleted it. I have never had a Twitter account and I have never, I have never even looked on Twitter. I have not touched Twitter. It's terrible now.
Starting point is 00:01:52 It's just a right-wing hellscape now that Elon Musk is in charge. It's actually really sad. Twitter's gone. Well, it's X, isn't it? Yeah, it's now X, but Elon Musk is so conservative now. All the big advertisers are gone, so the only advertisers that they're putting on the platform are right-wing conservatives. It's really scary.
Starting point is 00:02:05 He paid so much money for that dumpster fire. That's a terrible investment if there ever was one. I wonder why he did that. It's such a dumb investment. It's not really. He did it to control the media. One man can be very powerful. That's why one person shouldn't control all of the media.
Starting point is 00:02:19 There's good porn on Twitter. It's true. We have really taken a sidestep here. Well, I think the Life on Card audience really want to know this. Keisha's allowed to come on, your producer, and talk about her things and I want to talk about mine. What kind of porn do you find on there, Mitch? I mean, not straight porn.
Starting point is 00:02:33 There's gay men involved. Yeah, I know what gay porn is. It's just a lot of OnlyFans creators posting their content so you kind of get like it's real classic back-to-roots amateur porn. I didn't know you were allowed to do that on such a public platform. Yeah, Tumblr got rid of it and Twitter's like, hold my mouse. Hold my penis, yeah, exactly. Anyway, that's my tip for the week.
Starting point is 00:02:52 Wow. All right, well, we're also talking creepy or cute. Like how far is too far when you want to get someone's number? Because there's a story about a guy that went to the extreme. He saw this chick, he shot his shot, and it flopped. If you do not have the balls to talk to them face-to-face when you have literally been in the same place as them, sending a message of any sort of, like, of any sorts,
Starting point is 00:03:15 that's like, I saw you, but here's a note instead. For me, I'm like, I don't know what you look like. Really? No, I think that's fine. I think it's weird. I'm like, just shoot your shot. I think it's cute. I was telling Brit when you were in the bathroom, Laura,
Starting point is 00:03:27 that that's how I got my last relationship with my ex. My ex of five years. So he hadn't seen you. He had no idea what you looked like. We hadn't met. He followed me on Instagram. I thought he was cute and he kept posting that he went to Sydney Uni. And I thought, well, I don't want to slide into his DMs.
Starting point is 00:03:40 So what I did was. You stalked him at his uni. No, no, no. I just drove to work via the uni, parked outside the uni for five minutes, swiped, found him and then drove to work and then we messaged on Tinder. Did you tell him that? Yeah, he knows that. He thought it was very cute.
Starting point is 00:03:54 They dated for five years. Yeah, but you told him that you hunted him down. Yeah, I didn't hunt him down. I'm not a predator. He's not an alien. It wasn't like, you know, creepy. I didn't call you a predator. No, I'm more of an alien versus predator.
Starting point is 00:04:05 That's not like a sexual predator. Took your bow and arrow out to the unicorn. That was a movie reference. Sorry. No, I can see how you got confused. And then it was great and then he cheated on me, so love is real. Love is blind.
Starting point is 00:04:18 Love is cooked. Also on the show, speaking of my past relationships, you girls forced me to call an ex of mine that I went on like three or four dates with and you made me ask him to transfer me $8 for the yochi that I paid on our final date. Yeah, you sound like an idiot. That was cute. His response was sweet.
Starting point is 00:04:34 You wouldn't even call him an ex. If you go on three dates, it's not an ex. You didn't have a relationship. You got yogurt. We didn't even sleep together. I paid for his yochi and he's like, all right, I'm going to walk home. I'm like, do you want me to come? He's like, we got mold damage.
Starting point is 00:04:46 He's too sweet. Let him down gently. It's the black mould. It's not personal. He literally is like, we've got mould. You don't want to see my house. And I was like, okay. Oh, then we went to Kmart.
Starting point is 00:04:54 We bought a waffle maker. I remember. Was that him? Yeah, that was him. I remember Kmart, babe. He was at my birthday. Yeah, yeah. Oh, I met him.
Starting point is 00:05:01 That was the first date after I had the breakup and it was like uncharted territory. Guys, let's get into the show. I came across an article that had me in absolute stitches over the weekend. So imagine this. Imagine. Okay. It's late at night and you have a loved one that's been buried in a cemetery, okay?
Starting point is 00:05:21 It's not funny. It's not funny, okay? Lots of us have that, all right? But you go to visit them. You're having a late visit at a cemetery to share dinner with your loved one. And all of a sudden you hear, ooh, a ghost. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:39 Is that the cemetery with you? And you think, oh, my God, is that Aunt Mildred? But no, it's not Aunt Mildred. It's actually just a 24-year-old man who's hiding in the cemetery making ghost noises. Oh, that would really scare you. Have you had a joint? What's his story?
Starting point is 00:05:54 Yeah. I'm imagining that. Punchline. There's a guy in the States who's been arrested for hiding in cemeteries, making ghost noises at poor people who were coming to visit their family and their friends. Wait, what's he been arrested for? What is it?
Starting point is 00:06:10 That's already harassment. He pleaded guilty to using threatening. Pretending to be a ghost. or abusive behaviour likely to cause distress and was fined £35. A legal use of oohs and aahs. I know. I also said it was in the US, but it wasn't. It was in the UK.
Starting point is 00:06:23 But you know what? The fine details of this story don't matter. My favourite thing about Laura is when she reads something, she just goes, oohs and aahs, cemetery, Aunt Mildred, but leaves all detail out. Yeah, but don't you think it's so funny? I feel like all of us have, not that we've hidden in a cemetery, but the idea of this is.
Starting point is 00:06:36 All of us have done that. Hey, I think I speak for all of us when I say we've all pranked someone behind a grave. We've all been a ghost. We've all embalmed someone and then laughed at them. I think it's so funny that you can be fined for this, that this is an actual law, that you can't hide in a cemetery and pretend to be a ghost.
Starting point is 00:06:50 And you know what that means it's time for. It's back, Brit. It's back. She's brought it back. It's time for Laws, Laws. Here we go. Laws, Laws. Now, there are lots of very silly laws out there
Starting point is 00:07:05 and people have been arrested and fined for many things, like wooing in a cemetery. Laura, sorry, we have to set this up. We have done this before. Laura has this weird hard-on for laws. She brings up laws from around the world and she tells us, Britt, thinking we're going to love them and they're the weirdest things ever.
Starting point is 00:07:24 The thing is, is that these are so stupid, but somebody had to have done it for it to be implemented as a law. That's why I find it fascinating. So here we go. Laws, laws. I've got a couple of good ones for you. In Florida, unmarried women who parachute on Sundays can be fined or jailed, but only on Sundays.
Starting point is 00:07:40 Surely that is from like the 17... Were they paragliding in the 1700s? Imagine being that one woman who did it on a Sunday and they're like, you wench. We're setting, go to the courts now. Legislation. Guys, we need to get on the patriarchy about this because this is a rule that was created to uphold traditional values
Starting point is 00:07:55 and social norms regarding appropriate activities for women on Sundays. All right. Next one. In Kentucky, it's illegal to dye ducklings blue and to sell them. I mean, yeah, animal cruelty. I'm here for that. Yeah, I'm here for that. It's true.
Starting point is 00:08:07 Why just the ducks though? Yeah, and also could you do it pink and green and yellow? Just blue. Blue is specifically the law. But, yeah, it's for animal welfare purposes. Okay, in Tennessee, it is illegal. Oh, no, this one I understand. But in Tennessee, it's illegal to use someone else's Netflix account.
Starting point is 00:08:22 You can be fined. That should be everywhere. Mitch, you'd be done. You'd be in prison. I'm using everyone's Netflix. I'm using Brit's Netflix account. You actually are on mine. Guys, look.
Starting point is 00:08:30 Yeah. I mean, Mitch, you would share anyone's. I would. You actually know. You were talking about how you were sharing yours recently. So you've also been a victim of this. Okay. And lastly, guys, this is one that I think we can all really take home
Starting point is 00:08:41 and appreciate. In Alaska, it is illegal to push a live moose out of an aeroplane. What? This regulation addresses concerns for both the welfare of the moose and the safety considerations for people on the ground. Why is it? I feel like it should be legal to push any animal out of an aeroplane. Why are we just on the moose?
Starting point is 00:09:01 Yeah, but imagine being on the ground and you see a moose flying out of an aeroplane. You're like, oh, God, think of the people and the moose. Imagine seeing a bear fly out of an aeroplane. I'm with Brittany. If a giraffe fell out of an aeroplane, I'd think the same. Guys, you're taking this a little bit too seriously. It's your segment. Somebody out there pushed a moose out of an aeroplane
Starting point is 00:09:16 and you shouldn't do that. They got fined for it. That's horrible. Maybe it fell. Out of the aeroplane? Yeah, who knows? Why was it in there? Well, anyway.
Starting point is 00:09:23 There's so many questions that Laura doesn't have the answers for. That is it for Laws Laws, everyone. All right, it's back. If you're going to a cemetery this weekend, don't make any ghost noises. I can't wait for it to be rested for another nine months. We did that segment like in 2022. Ooh.
Starting point is 00:09:35 I want to talk messy breakups and money. A lot of breakups actually happen because of money. Do you know that? Money and cheating. And they are the two crucial pieces of information in this story. Love is Blind USA is currently airing. I'm obsessed with it. And this really pivotal moment happened in episode eight
Starting point is 00:09:55 that's going pretty viral. This between Monica and Steven, this couple that got paired together. They're trying to get married and work out their relationship. and just to give you some context here, Monica finds out that Stephen's been cheating on her, right, in text messages. She's read his phone and she's seen this multitude of sexy messages that have been going on behind her back
Starting point is 00:10:16 when they're supposed to be getting married. Wow. How have they known each other for? Well, the experiment, they meet in these pods blindly. They talk for a couple of weeks. They pick who they want to marry blind. And then they get married. No, then they spend time together.
Starting point is 00:10:29 They live together. They move in together. And you live together for a while and then you go on a honeymoon and then you decide if you're actually going to get married. I love the show. I love it. Mum, where did you meet Dad? A pod.
Starting point is 00:10:38 Yeah. Sorry, we were on The Bachelor. I know. That's at least romantic. A pod. Sounds like you're a cicada. Okay, so listen to this. She confronts him about cheating.
Starting point is 00:10:48 She's been spotting him money-wise for the last couple of weeks because he lost his job as an electrician. So she's like, you know, don't worry, babe, I got you. That's what a relationship is. Right. Then she sees the messages. Then this happens. before you leave i would like you to venmo me the money you owe me for me
Starting point is 00:11:04 carrying your weight the last couple days if you wouldn't mind taking out your phone now to send me the venmo fine she's like leave right he's like okay i'm going and she's like hang on wait get your phone out now and i want to see it happen pay me back some money and he you have you you see the ping right he does no choice he gets it out he does it pings her the money and then She's like, no, you can leave. I think this is so fine. If I found out that my partner was cheating on me and I had been paying for their ass for the last couple of weeks
Starting point is 00:11:34 or days or whatever, absolutely you can ask to get paid back for it. Yeah, I'm with you, Laura. I think it's the same. And I also think like her doing it in real time is the only way that you can guarantee that they're actually going to pay you back, right? Because otherwise you could bring it up two weeks later. Oh, I transferred it. Oh, it must not have gone through.
Starting point is 00:11:49 I'll try again. Like we've all had that person that says, oh, so sorry, I forgot. lot. And then the money never ever comes back to you. Hold on, Laura Britt, how long do you have to claim your cash back return from an ex? Like if you have this moment, do you have a month to call back and claim or do you have a year? Okay, so for me, I had an ex who was cheating on me and he owed me a bit of money. But at the time, because we were dating, I was like, oh, no, it's fine. You don't need to pay me back. I've got this. But then when I found out he cheated on me, I asked him for the money. He refused to pay me back, but I had his credit card. And so I logged
Starting point is 00:12:22 his credit card details in the back end of my Shopify and I just let him pay for my subscription up until the point where he paid me back the money he owed me. That's so smart. It just took him six months, but we got there. What subscription, Laura? Well, Shopify. It's like how you run your online store. So for my other business, he was just paying for my online store subscription. He was an early investor in Tony May. Yeah, he doesn't know it though. I think it depends if you like, it depends on the situation. If you've just broke up amicably four years later, you can't be like, you know what? Like that time we went to Hawaii, you can pay me back. But my ex was cheating on me for two years and I found out so I made him not only pay me back but I because I
Starting point is 00:12:57 lent him a lot of money I worked out the interest that I would have earned if that money was in my account and I added the interest on and he paid it back I like the petty nurse I think you're allowed to be petty if you've been cheated on and what do you think is the timeline when do you think you can't ask for it I think anything after like three months it's done it's gone like I had a cheating ex as well I made him pay the whole house deposit I made him break the lease I made him pay the bond like he covered everything but that was about the three-month mark and he fought it hard and i just said no you pay it who was the last person you dated mitch me before your partner the last date i went on before steven was this guy he was lovely we went on a couple dates and
Starting point is 00:13:33 i bought his yochi his frozen yogurt which is expensive stuff and then we never saw each other you do hear about those people all the time that go on a date and then like leave and ask their date to venmo them like a coffee would you call him and see what would happen if you ask him to pay back that yo-chi. Ain't this your story? Call Laura's business investor ex. No. No, because we're not calling anyone.
Starting point is 00:13:53 We've been broken up for like nine years. My exes are from 100 years ago, like all of them. And they all were bad cheating situations and most of them are now married kids. Someone needs to try it out. Spoiler, it's not going to be Laura or myself. Why don't you call the honey badger, Britt? Ask him for the therapy fees that he put you through.
Starting point is 00:14:08 The $500,000 he earned from the show, maybe. Wait, I don't even know if I have this guy's number. You do. Let's find it in the break. I'm always saying, pay me back for the yo-chi. You will sound like an absolute flog. But do it anyway. I think we need to put this to the test and see what will happen.
Starting point is 00:14:20 All right, let me see if I still have his number. Oh, it's a dick pic that's just appeared. I do. We are talking about getting money back from an ex. Can you ask for money back when you are breaking up? How much can you ask for? What's the most insignificant number and what is the time frame? I also think a very important part of this, though,
Starting point is 00:14:39 is like whether you've been or haven't been cheated on. Off the back of Love is Blind in the USA, one of the couples found out that he was cheating on her and she demanded on the spot that he Venmo her a couple of hundred bucks for the last couple of weeks because she's like, stuff you, I was supporting you, you cheated on me, now I want the money back. We thought we'd put this to the test because I feel incredibly awkward
Starting point is 00:15:01 about what's about to happen. Oh, you feel awkward. We're going to make Mitch call a guy he used to date how long ago? Oh, my God. This was like a year and a half ago. We went on like three dates and it was cute and fun but we just weren't a match and it fizzled out
Starting point is 00:15:15 and the last date was a Yochi date where I paid for his frozen yogurt. It's a good question though like what's the benchmark? When is it okay or not okay
Starting point is 00:15:23 to call an ex and ask for money? I would guess that this is one of those times where it's not okay but we're going to try it anyway. I'd like people to know that I want to preface this
Starting point is 00:15:30 by saying I think this is ridiculous but I'm doing it because you two your exes are old they don't have mobile phones. Mine's a honey badger he wouldn't answer.
Starting point is 00:15:37 I don't even know where he is at the moment. He lives in the bush. Okay. So his name is Liam just for context. Okay, we're going to sit here quiet and you are going to ask him to pay you back
Starting point is 00:15:46 Yochi from your amicable breakup a year and a half ago. How much? The last message was from last year and it was the breakup message. What's your reason going to be? You're going to say like you're saving for a house? Yeah, house deposit, climate. How much are you asking for?
Starting point is 00:15:59 Climate change. Climate says it. Climate change. $8. That's what it was. He had a hefty cup, I remember. Can you say that he got some extra toppings and just rounded it to $10?
Starting point is 00:16:08 This is so stupid. Hello, Liam. Hello. It's Mitch. Churi. How are you? Oh, oh, hi. How are you? I'm good. Thank you. I'm good. I'm good. How have you been? Good. What's up? Nothing. Oh, I just thought I'd buzz you because I was, I have sat down with a financial planner because I'm looking at, as you know, you know, I was wanting to buy a house, right? Get into the market. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. When we last spoke. That was like a year ago. Yeah. Yeah, it was. I thought you would have got that organized by now. No, I'm still living with my parents, which is, you know, classic. But I wanted to buy something and my financial advisor's like, look, you've got a lot of little fees that you've been, like expenses that you've been blowing and we need to cut them down. And if I can recoup any of the lost costs, like I should do it
Starting point is 00:16:58 because it goes towards a house deposit, like everything counts, you know. So I was just going through all my finances and there's an $8.12 charge from when we went on our date, our last day and um we went to yochi yeah that we got frozen yogurt yeah um i'm just wondering if you don't mind just sending that back oh um yeah of course you need you need like the eight dollars for like a some paint for the roof or something when you get your funny funny funny need some renovations maybe we do have chemistry after all i uh no no it just it just it just adds up like i've i've called other friends and asked for coffees and um i just thought if you could
Starting point is 00:17:35 It's so random. Oh, that's very sweet. So just maybe I think considering we did it when last year and I think inflation's gone up, maybe we just round it up to $10. Yeah, we can chuck the interest on it as well. But then you just have to invite me around for dinner one time and then we'll call it concrete. No, sorry, I'm seeing someone now.
Starting point is 00:17:54 Yeah, yeah, so am I. But hey, it didn't work out for us, but we can... Oh, stop it, Liam. You're on the radio. I can't do this. Liam, it's Britt, Mitch and Laura. Liam, I felt so uncomfortable. You were brilliant.
Starting point is 00:18:06 Why on earth would you pay that? Hey, I mean, I know it's struggling times and some people need money. And, hey, Mitch is nice and I was just like, he'll do the same for me, so why not? He would not do the same for you. You don't know Mitch. Oh, he would. He knows me.
Starting point is 00:18:22 You also thought Mitch was struggling. He's fine. He's fine. You never know. You never know. He's living with his parents, so that must be true. Must we keep bringing that up? Liam, that is so sweet.
Starting point is 00:18:32 And, I mean, God, maybe we should go on that fourth date. You are dating someone. Maybe we should. I don't know. No, we're both happy. We're both happy. I don't know if we've proved anything. I strongly suggest don't do this.
Starting point is 00:18:42 Anyone who's listening who thinks that they're going to call up their exes and get money, it doesn't work out like this. This is a terrible, terrible idea. It's ask and you shall receive. All's well that ends well. Thanks, Liam. See you. You're welcome.
Starting point is 00:18:54 See you later. Bye. Oh, my God, what a kind man. I think he knew he was on the radio. I think he knew. I think he figured it out real quick. Totally. If this was behind the scenes in text, you would have been, screw you.
Starting point is 00:19:03 I have a story that might make you change the way you travel. Do you put, Britt and Mitch, do you put your address and your phone number on like a luggage tag on your luggage when you're, you know, traveling around the place? Yeah. So that if you lose your luggage, you can find it again. Yeah, like an ID tag. I do.
Starting point is 00:19:18 I've got like a fancy one with my initials on it. Yeah. You don't have anything. I don't know. Just raw dog it, Britt. I think I raw dog it because you've got the sticker from the airline. You know, they put your bag tag and stuff on it. So you have that on there.
Starting point is 00:19:29 Well, Britt, turns out you might be doing it the safest way. So there's a woman who's gone viral because she has, basically she got picked up, but in a very unusual way. So she was at the airport and she received a text message from a guy who said, hey, I know this is an unusual way of getting in touch, but I saw your bag tag at the terminal. You were so beautiful that I couldn't let the opportunity go not to speak to you, but I didn't know how to come up to you in person.
Starting point is 00:19:57 and he messaged her because he got her number from the back tag. Creepy. Creepy. Only creepy if you're not into it. If they're smoke show hot. That's cute. That's the problem though, right? You don't know if they're smoke show hot.
Starting point is 00:20:11 You have no idea. You can't shut it down then until you find out. I'd be like, send a pic. So everyone on the, like everybody who's joined in the conversation on this has been saying that this is creepy AF. But I have a theory. I think, exactly what you said, Britt, I think things are only creepy if you don't find the person attractive.
Starting point is 00:20:28 100%. If you're at a bar and someone looks at you from across the room and they're hot and they smirk at you, oh, that's hot. That's cute. But if they're ugly and they smirk at me, I go, where's security? Get them evicted from the building. It's the same thing, right? It's like if someone slides into your DMs and like,
Starting point is 00:20:43 hey, I saw you walking across the street. I wanted to say hi. And it's like 70-year-old Johnny from down the street. You're like, well, I'm not into it. But if it's like a Hemsworth or someone, you're like, yeah, that's not creepy. But then does this not just make us all really superficial? Yes, it does. Everything on attractiveness?
Starting point is 00:21:00 Yes. Okay, well, with that in mind, I think objectively there are some things in life that if you remove the way that someone looks, you can decide on whether it's creepy or cute. Oh, do you have some? Which is why we're going to do this, creepy or cute. Okay, this is fun. Here we go.
Starting point is 00:21:14 I was flirting with a guy who worked in a cafe. I went in pretty regularly and one day he put his number on the top of my coffee cup and asked me out. Creepy or cute? Cute. But then you can never go back there again if you don't like him. There's plenty of places to get coffee. What if that's the one place that makes a really good coffee?
Starting point is 00:21:32 It's hard because I'm really about like shooting your shot. So I want to encourage people in the wild to get amongst it. I think it's cute. I think it's cute. But how hot is he? I reckon he just ruined her morning coffee. All right, here we go. I was at a bar and a guy bought me a drink.
Starting point is 00:21:44 Cute. I had been drinking all night. I asked how he knew what I was drinking and he said he was standing behind me earlier and he'd heard me order it. Oh, I think that's cute. I think that's cute because we want people to offer us a drink, right? You've got to check there's not like a roofie in there. For me, if I was in a bar line and I thought the guy in front of me was red hot
Starting point is 00:22:04 and I heard him order a drink, I'd be like, that will be cute. I know what he drinks. That's my in. All right, I've got another one. I was working at a festival and some guy went through all of the event photos to find me on Instagram and DM me. That's creepy. That's like, that takes time and thought.
Starting point is 00:22:21 Oh, that one's borderline, is it for you, Britt? Well, I like the effort. It's because Britt doesn't go clubbing, so she can't picture it happening. She's like, how would that feasibly happen? I like the, no, okay, strap in. I've got a story for you. Okay.
Starting point is 00:22:35 Many moons ago, I was 25, very single, and I was online dating, and I saw this guy that I thought was so hot. he had a dog in his very particular picture he was quite muscly and fit and cute and i i liked his bio he was from new zealand um he had been in the navy like he had some he was a pt had very specific things about him that i could track down i swiped him we didn't match but i was like i wonder if i can find him i searched him until i found and i knew it's not so i ended up finding him on facebook and i d i messaged him on facebook and said hey i know this sounds weird i saw you
Starting point is 00:23:10 online dating, but wasn't sure if we were going to match. So I just thought I'd shoot my shot and say hi. We ended up hooking up for a week. 10 years later now, we're still really good friends. He went and got married. We're still friends. So what I'm learning from this is that it was fine for Brit to do it because she's hot. But if you go and try and stalk someone after seeing them on a dating app and didn't match with them, that would be creepy. Yeah. Yeah. Affirmative. Hey, our beautiful queen of the screen, Kate Winslet. We all love her, right? um thank you kate winslet this is a story from 1998 believe it or not but it's making the rounds again at the moment and i hadn't heard it until now and i now think of her differently wait till
Starting point is 00:23:52 you hear what i'm about to say actually i'm not even going to tell you i'm going to let kate tell you herself you're in the water tank you're soaking wet you gotta go to the bathroom you know when you gotta go you gotta go Leah would sometimes say to me, sweetie, sweetie, I've got a pee. Okay, I'm a slow boy. And so I sort of swim away for three metres. La, la, la, la, la.
Starting point is 00:24:13 Oh, one patch, one patch. And then swim back, swim back in. It took too long to get out in the wet clothes. Oh, God. So I confess, it happened. It happened. Oh. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:26 It really changes that scene, doesn't it? It changes it drastically. Also, it means he wouldn't have really died because the pee would have warmed him up. Jack was actually quite thermally warm. If you think about it, when Jack drowned, bubbles came up. That was actually just a little fart. It made the scene.
Starting point is 00:24:40 It wasn't even Jack's breath. It was her bubbles. I have a question. Are we as adults peeing in pools? Like are we still doing that? Oh, yeah, I let loose. As soon as I feel that warmth hit my body, I just unleash. No, hang on.
Starting point is 00:24:52 It's not – she hasn't just admitted that she likes to pee in a pool. She had a reason. To be honest, she had all these half an hour of getting in and out of corsets and to get back into scene. This is a huge production. So she's like, it was easy for everyone if I just did it in the pool. She doesn't just choose to go swimming in a resort and pee in the pool. The reason why I asked this question is because just on the weekend,
Starting point is 00:25:12 we were at a friend's pool, my husband, myself, the two kids, and I swam over to give my husband Matt a hug. And as I got very close to him, I wrapped my arms around his neck. He said to me, oh, honey, don't come close, I'm peeing. And at that exact moment, I felt the warmth of it. I swam into the pee. That is the ultimate disrespect to your friend's house, to pee in the pool.
Starting point is 00:25:32 Yeah, they're going over it. I pee in the shower. I pee in the pool. It's sterile. The shower's different. The shower's very different. It goes down a drain and no one else is in there and no one else has to get in there and flounder around.
Starting point is 00:25:42 But, Britt, this is my case, okay? You don't have a case. Okay, I know we think it's disgusting because it is, but I guarantee that there are more adults out there that pee in the pool than what they would admit. I don't think it happens. Matt's fine with it. He has no problems.
Starting point is 00:25:56 He thinks that it's not a deal. He thinks everyone does it. And I was trying to convince him that everyone doesn't do it. Why don't we call him? And I can let him know that I do, but Britt thinks it's disgusting. I can tell him it's rank. I don't think he's going to enjoy being called. That's fine because I've already dialed it.
Starting point is 00:26:08 It's too late because you just told them. Yeah. He doesn't listen, I don't think. Honey. Hi, honey. Hi, honey. Look, don't hate me for this. Funnily enough, we were talking about Kate Winslet.
Starting point is 00:26:18 You know that really famous scene where it's her and Jack on the Titanic and she's holding Jack from drowning and they're both in a big body of water. So it's come out that she peed in that body of water and I was sharing about you on the weekend and how you're okay with peeing in the pool. And you peed on Laura. And you peed on me. Yes.
Starting point is 00:26:39 Matt, what part of you thinks it's okay to pee in your good friend's pool knowing that them and their friends have to get in there and swim through your urine stream? What makes you think that's okay? In my defence, I think it's a surfer thing. I think if you ask any surfer... I did surf. They're all – okay, did you ever wear a wetsuit?
Starting point is 00:26:59 Yes, all the time. Did you ever wear a wetsuit in winter when it's cold? Yeah, I peed in my own wetsuit in the ocean. That's different to a pool mat. Same thing. You're in a body of water. Would you say that you do it pretty much every time you go for a swim in a pool or is it just like a one-off occurrence?
Starting point is 00:27:15 Only at friends' houses. Now that I've conditioned my body over such a long period of time to be used to peeing in pools and spas, Because it's almost like even if I don't have to, my body just does it. You're actually all disgusting. Yeah, I agree with you, Britt. You were fine. You were defending your husband two seconds ago.
Starting point is 00:27:34 Now I have an ick for my own husband. Because we also have a scar. Laura, you liked it when I was peeing on you. Oh, stop it. It's a kink. It's not. There's children in cars. Thanks, Maddie J.
Starting point is 00:27:43 We love you. That's an exclusive, everyone. You
