Life Uncut podcast acknowledges the traditional custodians of country throughout Australia
and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their elders, past and
present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
This episode is recorded on Gadigal land of the Aurora Nation.
Hi guys and welcome back to another episode of Life Uncut. I'm Laura.
I'm Brittany.
I'm Mitch.
And this is our radio show, The Best of the Pickup,
that we do every day of the week.
And then we package up the best bits here for you
so you don't have to listen live.
Did you, Laura, leave the part in where you request
the genitalia size of a rabbit?
Is that going to be in the show?
We don't normally put like, well, we do this segment
called Little Wins where people call out with like
their little wins of the week, not the big stuff,
only the small stuff.
And this woman told a story and then I think I asked
the penis size of her rabbit and it just fucking
spiraled out of control.
You were just very invested in the penis size of the rabbit.
Well, no, I felt sorry for the rabbit because they thought it was a girl,
but it was a boy.
And then I said that's unfortunate for the rabbit,
and then I realized the rabbit doesn't care.
But a rabbit's penis, it doesn't just hang out.
It's not like a horse or a giraffe.
I don't think any animal's penis hangs out.
It kind of sucks up.
Horses do.
Big ones.
Do they?
Yeah.
Are you kidding?
Brittany's invested in the horse penis.
Can you give me a photo?
Bro, have you not seen a horse's penis?
Guys, can we?
I'm not walking around Barnes.
Oh, our producer, Alex, is saying massive.
That's a metre long.
Yeah.
They're not that big.
Am I going to get, Mitch, I'm.
You're on the work white.
Oh, my God.
I'm showing you a picture.
Looks like an exodated one.
Ew.
I'm talking about the horse.
But they just do leave them out like that.
Can we?
Leave them out?
Okay, everyone, don't Google rabbit or horse penises.
I know that.
Brittany, put that away, man.
I know it was the slim chance that you were going to do it,
but just in case, I advise don't.
Would you guys say, and this is really connecting to the lifers,
they get it, that the tall skinny boys you've been with
always have bigger penises.
We're not, no.
Than the stocky men.
It doesn't mean anything.
I've never been with a stocky guy.
I don't think a shorter guy.
Really?
Not really short and stocky, no.
Beefy guy.
Brit, no?
Cat got your tongue.
Yeah, Brit is like, I'm not having this conversation.
I'm just not going to talk about all my ex's penises on here.
Yeah, I agree.
Oh, here we go.
We have limits, believe it or not.
We have boundaries.
And it ends with a rabbit's penis, Mitch.
That's our limit.
It's too much, guys.
No, we did have a big week.
I got into my first ever street fight, I guess you'd call it.
No, I had a bit of a confrontation, like an argument with a taxi driver of all people.
But I want to preface this in case you have checked out of the podcast right now.
It was not my fault.
That's the problem with taxi drivers.
They've got the right to do whatever they want.
I remember I went to a concert one night and what would normally be a $40 trip,
they were quoting $110 and they don't turn the meter on.
They can't do that.
They've got to put a meter on.
No, I know, but they sat outside the stadium and there were 20 taxis and I went up to each
taxi and they all had a different price that was within the same ballpark, 100% times the
normal price.
Because you're desperate.
it. Well, that's exactly right. But that's why everyone thinks we need to reform taxis and go
Uber. But you know, it's a lesser of two evils. No, look, I don't, I don't want to shit on taxi
drivers or the taxi service. I love them and I use them. It was nothing to do with it being a taxi.
It was the man that was in charge of the taxi. Also, I was talking about my biggest fear in life.
Actually, it's a lie. It's not my biggest, but it's a fear that my kids are going to break
something that they shouldn't break when you go into a shop or you go into a restaurant or
something that they're going to do something and I'm going to have to pay for it. There is a family
who I think was faced with one of the worst breakages
that has come from a four-year-old
and it was something that could not be replaced.
Irreplaceable.
Yeah, it was very bad.
Also, I went into a coffee shop and pretended that I was a local
and I was one of their regulars and this was a prank I wanted you to do, Laura.
I won't do pranks.
I know, but it wasn't really a prank.
It was more of like a silly little...
It was just awkwardness.
It was an awkward moment.
I wanted you to go to a cafe and say,
hey, give me the usual and see what the barista would do
if they just made you a random coffee or if they questioned it.
and you put it back on me, I didn't.
That and so much more on the show this week.
Coming up now.
I am bringing you a story today, Mitch and Laura,
where I am looking for someone to back me up.
I'm looking for someone to tell me that I was in the right.
You have come to the wrong place.
Damn it.
Yeah, I should know better.
So last week I had to go for work all the way over to Perth, right?
So I had to go and do some talks and presentations over there.
It was just like a one-night thing.
And I was staying at this hotel and I needed to leave the hotel
and get to my next venue with all my luggage,
do the presentations there, which it was a big business lunch.
And then I needed to go straight from there to the airport.
So I had all my luggage.
I'd been there for I think two days.
I had high heels on because I was like going to dress the part, you know.
So I left the hotel and I went down to get a taxi to the venue.
Now the venue was only 10 minutes away.
It was pretty close.
But I had huge luggage, wheel on, hand and high heels.
So there's a taxi waiting.
He's not doing anything.
He is twiddling his thumbs.
I saw him.
So I walk over to him.
I say, are you free?
Being polite.
He says, yes.
Great.
Jump in.
Love when that happens.
Pops the boot.
I put my luggage in, climb into the car.
And then I say to him, sorry, I'm not actually going that far.
I've just got to get to this venue, which is just down the road.
Britt, he saw you with all your luggage and probably instantly thought,
airport.
You're going to the airport, girlfriend.
100%.
I had to go 10 minutes, right?
And he says, oh, no, that's walk.
And I was like, what?
I was like, no, I just need, can you please take me to this location?
He said, no.
And I said, sorry, why?
He goes, don't be lazy.
That's what he said.
I wish I was making this up.
He said, don't be lazy.
You're being lazy.
And he said, two minutes.
And I said, no, it's not.
And I pulled up a map and I showed him.
I said, this will be a 13-minute walk, which doesn't sound long, right, guys.
but when I'm in high heels running late with all of my luggage I said sorry it's not two minutes
please can you take me like you're free and your lights on I'm in my car and we had a full-on fight
he was no telling me how lazy I am and that I should be walking and not using a taxi why would
you and I was like I'm trying to I'm trying to pay for you to take me somewhere money and I said
please not enough I literally said wait it gets worse I said please can you take me please just
take me down the road and come back nothing is going to happen in that time I'm paying you I'm
not asking for a favor. He gets out of the car. I'm still in the car. Pops a boot, pulls my luggage
out and puts my luggage on the street. That's so embarrassing. Oh, it was not embarrassing. I got
out and we were going each other. We were fully going each other. And I was so shocked that another
taxi drove past, stopped his car in the middle of the road. And he said, I'm sorry, is everything
okay here? Are you all right, ma'am? Because this taxi driver was going me. I've never experienced
anything like it. And then I said, no, I'm not all right. And he's like, get in. I'm going to
take you where you need to go. I was like, well, I just want you to know it's only five minutes.
And he's like, that's fine. And he stopped and the taxi man got in and slammed his door and
the nice taxi driver took me. But then I had this feeling of like, is there like an unspoken rule
that you can't, you have to drive more than 10 minutes in a taxi? No, I'm sure that it's very
frustrating and annoying for them, especially if they've been waiting for a long time for a longer,
a longer trip. But also, Britt,
if I was you in that situation,
I wouldn't want to be any in the car with a guy
like that. Like, if he was yelling at me, if he was being
hostile. I was late.
There is no part of me that with him
behaving like that would make me want to
be in that taxi with him. No, but Laura, in the time that it took
him to pick a fight with beautiful Brittany Huckley,
sorry, I think we're brushing over the
fact that you were gorgeous. He could have dropped
you in the time that it took to get out, take
your bags out, and be a bit of a prick. Mitch, thank you.
I even said I'll pay him more. I tried
tried to bribe him and then i'm like why am i trying to bribe him but he could have in the
time it took him to abuse me and pull my stuff out of the car and i was like i'm gonna report you
and i was like writing down but i was never gonna report him who's right me or him no you're right
that sounds like a very very awful situation and i did text each other say just agree with her
because i think she's a bit upset as soon as you started yelling before you'd even told the story
i was like whatever she says i'm gonna say she's right it genuinely i don't like confrontation
No, we know, we know, please, we know, we know.
Britt, you're the nicest person I've ever met and you're beautiful.
Wow, thanks, guys.
I need to come here for this more often.
We need to give you an update on the discussion we were having yesterday.
So I brought to the table the idea that one of you two girls, Britt or Laura,
should walk into a local cafe and proudly ask for the usual.
Walk in as if they know who you are and say,
give me the usual, but it's a cafe you've never been to before.
Mitch, why?
The question is why did you want us to do this
and where did this idea even come from?
It's radio, Laura.
There's no why.
We just do it.
Yeah, I don't remember.
I think it came from TikTok,
which is pretty much where all your good ideas come from.
Where did it come from?
TikTok.
What day is it?
Who am I?
What show is this?
The thing is, I can't do these.
This is one thing about radio.
You know how the people do like pranks and like tricks and whatnot.
It makes me so viscerally uncomfortable to try and prank someone,
which meant that you had to do it, Mitch.
And I did do it.
Because you were so confident.
I went to a cafe that didn't know me
and I walked in with confidence and I asked for my usual.
Do you want to hear how it went?
I'm so embarrassed for you.
I feel awkward already, but yes.
Here we go.
Now, just so you know, I tried to go in hot with confidence.
Here it is.
Hey, how are you?
I'm good.
Good to see you.
Oh, yeah.
Thank you.
How have you been?
Yeah, not too bad.
Good.
Yeah, good.
Thank you.
Good.
I'll just get my regular, please.
What I normally get.
Which one?
I'm sorry.
It's too many people.
Oh, that's all right.
You don't have my coffee?
No, I'm new here.
Oh, you're new?
Oh, I come every day.
She was not new there.
I already feel awkward.
Of course you feel awkward.
It's horrible.
But she actually handled that really well.
Like, she didn't really hesitate.
She was just like, man, there's a lot of people here.
You're not special.
How long do you reckon she's been working there for?
I asked her.
Do you want to hear?
Yeah.
Here we go.
This is the follow-on.
Nice to meet you.
Nice to meet you too.
What's your name?
Robert.
Robert?
Robert, yeah, with an R.
Okay, I'll get my usual.
So my usual is a strong oat flat white.
A small one?
Yeah.
Thanks.
I'll try to remember that.
Oh, you don't have to try and remember.
It's okay.
No, I will.
Oh, it's all right.
How long have you worked here?
A couple weeks?
No, like, whatever I want.
Okay.
Yes, you once, twice.
Yeah.
Okay, well, now you know me.
One and a half months is not that new if you're going to a cafe every day.
I know.
But fair that she didn't know who you are because you'd never been there.
Also, the poor thing.
She's going to write that down and wait for you to come back.
You're never coming back.
That's the bad part.
No, can you go back tomorrow and just see if she remembers?
Yeah, now we need to double up.
We need to follow up, follow up.
No, because she thinks my name is Robert.
That's okay.
Go and commit.
You need to go and see if she's remembered.
Put it to the test.
Wait two, maybe next week.
Let's do it next week.
More upsetting for you that she had no idea who you are.
I know.
That's a real humbler, isn't it?
There was one lady in the cafe she knew, but she didn't say anything.
That's Mitch Turi.
He's got a pseudonym so that people don't know who he is.
Is that Robert?
Is that Robert from the radio?
With an R, of course.
All right, see, I'm dedicated to the show, girls.
That's what dedication to the cause sounds like.
No, doing preparation and actually, you know,
reading the articles and stuff is dedication to the show.
But I'm glad you did that.
I know what you noticed, Laura, that that wasn't my normal coffee order.
No, that was for our producer.
Oh, you're a good man.
That wasn't your order.
No, it wasn't my order because I got it for the team.
Anyway, look, guys, we've got to go for the day.
We've just got to go home and give our kids more naked dolls.
Ask Uncut.
You do it on your podcast, Life Uncut, every week.
We have a listener who's gotten in touch with us.
They've got a question in their life today.
We're going to try and help out Kate.
Kate is struggling with her partner.
He doesn't post her to social media, which is an issue that I think we've all faced.
Kate, hello.
What's going on?
Give us the details.
Hey, guys.
Yeah, so you hit the nail on the head, Mitch.
Like, I've been with my boyfriend for three years now,
and I've just never made it Instagram official.
Like, I'm not even on his grid at all.
It's almost like he's not even in a relationship.
and like I love him so much and obviously there's no problems
like in our real life but I just don't understand
why he won't post me or post any pictures of us on social media.
It just seems a bit strange.
Kate, is he someone who's active on social media
or does he just never use it so therefore he doesn't post you
or anything?
Well, he does but like this is the thing.
He'll post pictures with him and his friends.
Like they'll go out the whole night out.
Like, you know, even brunch and stuff like that.
Like he'll go out with them and post photos at brunch and stuff
and I'm like, okay, well, like, and I've never really wanted to ask.
I don't know how do you approach this.
That's the thing.
I don't know how to bring it up.
It's definitely upsetting if the avocado on toast makes the grid.
And you don't.
And you don't.
Like, for me, I'm like, well, you put the poached egg on there.
Have you actually asked him why?
Because for me, I think three years deep,
if people are using social media, that's crazy.
I tend to lean towards they're trying to hide something
and I hate saying that.
But at the end of the day, that's what it is.
Like, you should be pretty important.
So what has he said when you've asked him?
Well, I've kind of hinted.
So I've never really gone in and been like, hey,
why don't you post me on social media?
Because I don't want to seem, like, needy or anything as well.
Like, I kind of just go, oh, that's a nice picture of you and your friends.
Kate, it's been three years.
It's not needy anymore.
You don't need to hint or drop hints.
Also, do you post him on your social media?
Because, like, do you post him in your stories and then you tag him
and he just never reshares your stories?
Like, what's happening there?
Well, that is actually how I've tried to see if he'll reshare it
because when I've tagged him, because I post about him all the time.
See, that's the other thing.
I post all the time thinking, okay, he's going to reshare it.
Never reshares it.
He's hiding.
That's so weird.
Nah, he wants to appear single on his socials, I reckon.
I've done some thinking.
If you only ever post him out with his boyfriends
and he's posting brunch, I've got a lot of gay friends
that do that every single weekend.
He's not gay.
Does he watch RuPaul's Drag Race by chance?
Yeah.
Oh, we love it.
We watch it all the time.
Katie, are you sitting down?
I'm going to tell you something.
I fear your boyfriend might be a friend of Judy's.
Oh, no.
Oh, no.
She's like, I knew it.
No.
No.
Let's be gay.
He's not, but you just need to, I think three years,
let's be serious, three years you are at a place
where you should be able to sit down and say,
it makes me feel a bit insecure that you don't post me.
Are you happy to put me on the gram?
And if he says no, there's definitely something more at play
because anyone should be able to be like, you know what?
You're right.
It has been three years and no one knows you exist.
So you think I should just go straight in and just say, look.
Yeah.
Why don't you post me?
Okay.
The other alternative is to hack into his phone
and upload something to his grid without him knowing.
Yeah.
I've always wanted to do that, but I'm like, oh,
I can't even talk to him about it.
No, that's unethical.
I think that would be a bit too far.
What you should do is get the Grindr sound effect from YouTube,
play it in the same room he's in,
And if his eyes light up, I'm right.
Oh, God, I hope not.
If he is, it'll be stressful for a bit.
But trust me, you'll have a new best friend.
I'll call you back and I'll say, please help me.
Yeah, yeah.
You'll love having someone help you with your outfits.
We need to discuss one of the biggest stories of the day.
This is Yochi Man and this is the man that you will end up hating today.
That's a problem.
Okay, so Yochi Guy, if you don't know who he is,
he's going viral on TikTok at the moment because of a very apparently
questionable date that he went on and he got the ick from the girl that he took on the date.
Firstly, he thought everything was going swimmingly fine. Had a great conversation in the
car. There were vibes. Then they got into Yochi, which for anyone who doesn't know what Yochi is,
it's like a frozen yogurt self-serve thing. It's fancy. Yeah. You pour your frozen yogurt in and
then you go to the buffet of frozen yogurt toppings and you add your topping. Yeah. And
it's priced by weight. So the more toppings, the more expensive it is. Yeah. Have a listen to this.
okay you put it on tiktok right so i was on a date last night more specifically a yoji date
chemistry's there pulling to yoj i grabbed the normal size cup right like the small one i see
that my date grabbed the big cup i'm like oh that could be an issue because realistically i'm probably
gonna have to pay for this and i'm starting to freak out so anyways fill up the cups mine's at
a reasonable amount i'm looking at my god that's like 40 already i'm like freaking out and then we
get to the toppings i'm like all right surely she lays up on the toppings so then i'm filling up i'm
putting like a strawberry on at a time this girl is just putting every topping on i'm like jesus
leave some for everyone else okay so the reason why he's saying he got the ick is because when
he got to the checkout he had to pay for her exorbitant yochi i think the bar for getting
the ick is so low at the moment that we will very easily kind of dismiss relationships because the
person turns us off but have a listen to what that he has to say so then it comes to paying
and it's the classic are you guys together and you look at her she looks at you i was like yes
oh my god comes out it's like 330 dollars i'm just like this sucks anyways whatever i'm kind
of offered at this point i've sort of got the ick i don't want to be there so the ick aside the bar
is so low for a man to only be funny when he's putting other women down i think first of all
is disgusting he gave me the ick if you ask a woman out then you shame her for what she eats
and you're too tired and you complain about paying for her frozen yogurt you didn't get caviar and
lobster you got a frozen yogurt you got some milk that's been on ice if you are shaming the toppings
if you are shamed yeah which he's shaming her for leave some for everybody else and all he has done
to he's really like reiterate that he's not going to get another date you have put yourself out
there to make sure no woman wants to go near you with a 10 foot pole? I mean, people are absolutely
flaming him on TikTok at the moment. I think he put this out there thinking that people would be
like, yeah, that's so funny. But there have been hordes of women who have been commenting,
firstly saying things like, if you only have McFlurry money, you shouldn't be taking someone
to Yochi in the first place. Other people are also saying like, if this is the benchmark for
what you get the ick from, like you should hear the stories that so many women have around horrific
dates that they have had.
Did you see what she posted?
She woke up feeling a little bloated from the yummy yochi I had on what I thought was
a good date last night.
He woke up and decided to share the intimate details of our date to the world.
Well, they weren't really that intimate.
It was just toppings.
Well, how much she was shamed.
How much she ate.
She was shamed.
That's pretty mean.
I'd be gutted.
I'd honestly be gutted.
Do you have an ick for your boyfriend?
Yeah, I do.
Well, Stephen's ick for me, my boyfriend, when I first ever messaged him, day one on
that dating app, I invited him out for yochi and he said, that is, that's so unsexy.
we're not going to get frozen yoghurt.
What did you do instead?
He got the ick from frozen yoghurt.
We, what did we do instead?
Went to your house, Brittany.
Way sexier.
My house and my lounge is way sexier than your house.
We all know what they did on your lounge.
I was house-sitting, yeah.
Oh, yeah, extra toppings.
You know what is one sentence that I think every single parent can relate to?
It's something that every parent says on repeat,
especially when you have little kids, and it's don't touch that.
Don't touch that, especially when you walk into a store.
If you've ever had your child break something on you,
you will know when you're in a shop, it is absolutely mortifying.
But there was this story that was circulating around a kid
who went into a, it was like an ancient museum, you know,
taking your kid through a history museum.
Just a museum, yeah.
They're not all, not all museums are history museums, though.
True.
With ancient artefacts.
Right, right, yes.
Thanks for trying to school me, Mitch.
No, I mean, ancient museum makes it sound like the museum itself.
Yeah, I agree.
It was a museum that had old things in it.
Okay, well, picture this.
You're walking around with your four-year-old.
You're looking at some, I don't know,
mummified mummy over there in the corner and then all of a sudden you hear this smash oh i was
waiting for a crash sound effect that's okay there you go smash and you turn around and there it is
your darling little four-year-old standing next to a giant pot that is smashed all over the floor
now this pot good thanks for keeping up this pot was 3 500 years old and what happened to it from
BC. It smashed.
There you go. It was an old jar that used to be
used for either carrying wine or carrying
olive oil and this poor family were
absolutely beside themselves because
their kid, all it took was a four-year-old.
The tyranny of time couldn't do it but a four-year-old could.
I don't know if your four-year-old should
be running around
like a museum with
3,500-year-old artefacts.
When I first saw this, I thought
that the kid had climbed into like a glass enclosure
or something because you would think of something...
An enclosure that's like a zoo?
Well, if it's 3,500 years old, do you think that you would try
and, like, cordon it off a little bit?
Laura, was it bolted down or was it behind glass?
No, it was just sitting in, like, a pot vase.
And the little kid.
No, that's the museum's fault.
I agree.
The little kid wanted to look inside and see if there was anything inside there,
a bit of wine left over, and it just toppled over.
It's too top heavy.
I actually know why it's not enclosed.
It's because they believe it's, like, bad luck or bad karma
to, like, close off these things.
They need to live free.
the artefacts need to have full access to the environment.
So they don't, they try not to put it behind, be behind glass.
I've read that.
The exact reason I just told you.
But like spiritually.
No, spiritually because it's better for them.
They just don't believe it should be locked away, yeah.
Hold on, Ashley's called.
Hey, Ashley, did this happen to you?
Did you knock down a 35,000-year-old pot?
Are you a 35,000-year-old pot?
I did take one side of my house's gutter off
by trying to jump off the roof onto a trampoline as a child
with my brother.
I wasn't quite brave enough to jump from standing,
so I tried to jump from sitting and didn't let go
and took the whole gutter with me.
You took the whole gutter off the roof.
That's pretty expensive for your parents.
We've gotten so many messages, actually,
that are coming through of kids, things that kids have broken.
And number one is TVs.
The amount of children out there who have broken $4,000 plus TVs is,
yeah, look, that's a common one.
I reckon it's a bit of a misconception in the public
around how radio is made.
Like I think if you're driving in your car,
you think a couple of people get in a room
and we just start talking some smack
and I understand why you might think that.
But let me-
That's probably what it sounds like.
Yeah, exactly.
Let me score you for a second.
We take this very seriously.
Radio has full-on, sit-down, serious content meetings
where each individual brings some ideas for the week,
the hard-hitting questions,
the things everyone's talking about,
all the things that maybe we think
will incite some great conversation.
So every week we bring it, we throw it around, we agree on some stuff.
And I just had to ask myself today, Mitch, how have you been doing this 10 years?
Because you threw some things around in radio that made me wonder what on earth is going
on in your head.
We're not completely sold on it, but we want to give you your time to shine.
I want to give you a moment to sell these ideas to us, these conversations you want
to have.
We've even given it a name.
It is now called Mitch Pitch.
I love this.
Yeah, so it's your time to pitch us these ideas
that you have been trying so desperately to get on radio
and we keep cutting you down.
No, to be fair, this feels like a very big stitch-up.
Actually, it is a stitch-up because we know the ideas.
You pitched them to us and they are terrible.
I think it's good.
These are all content ideas that you want to discuss on the show
and we have said no to, but this is what your notes app looks like.
Yeah, literally I'm holding my notes app up in front of you.
I've just written these.
I have these ideas throughout the day and I go,
God, Britt and Laura would love them.
I'll talk about them on the pickup.
And then we always shoot you down.
You get sad in the meetings, Mitch.
But this is your opportunity.
Maybe there's something that might actually hit,
might actually land.
Okay, so I'll just rattle off some of my ideas.
Are you worried that sushi places just make far too much sushi?
Is that the end?
Yeah, think about it.
You walk through a sushi store and 3 p.m. comes
and there's just all this leftover sushi.
And I go, who's going to eat that?
No one wants discounted sushi, Mitch.
That's my point.
It gets thrown out.
It's wastage.
I'm glad that you all pass there and you worry about the environment,
but I don't think people care about it as much as you do.
They care about the environment, but not the sushi.
Surely they could just make less sushi.
A bow.
Did we all just give up on the concept of out of bounds?
Explain.
Well, out of bounds works for children.
At primary schools, mums in cars that listen,
see it's connected to the pickup, they use out of bounds for kids.
You know, out of bounds, don't go in that area.
Kids listen to it.
If we just use that concept as adults, like, you know,
you've got the T4 transit lane and the merge and the giveaway.
If you just put out of bounds on the road,
Adults would listen to it and they wouldn't drive into that lane.
They're called road rules.
We have road rules.
Yeah, but just use blanket.
Use the statement out of bounds.
It works as kids.
It would work if we were adults as well.
Imagine if they start implementing things that you have as kids as adults,
like no hat, no play.
See, it'll work.
No one can walk out.
Oh, I'd love to be grounded and sent to my bed.
They could use that for like violence, for like attack.
No punch, no life.
Sorry, what?
Next.
Moving on.
Yeah, that one doesn't land.
What are some others?
Where'd all the redbacks go?
I've written down.
Good question.
Great.
You like that?
You're hooking me in.
Where are they?
Because I haven't seen them in a long time.
15 years ago, that was the biggest issue that Australia faced.
John Howard, campaigns, kill the redbacks, watch out for redbacks.
Did he really?
I'd go into any garage and my mum would go, you watch out for redbacks.
I haven't seen a redback in decades.
In shoes and under the logs for the fireplace.
Yeah, see, I told you there's something in this.
Where are they?
Where are all the redbacks?
Well, you've got to then look it up so you can answer the question.
Oh, we could get Dr. Harry on or get like a redback specialist on.
What's that other scientist we get on from time to time?
I've forgotten his name.
Dr. Carl.
He'll know where the red backs are.
Is it chic to wear a winter coat on holiday
yet cringe to wear a winter coat at home?
Yes, I agree.
I am a different person when I'm on holiday.
Do you fake accents when you're overseas?
I do.
It's fun.
And it's very racist.
You shouldn't do that.
No, I'm talking about America.
I get what you mean.
But I mean, like, if you're in America or British,
like English speaking.
It depends on where you are, doesn't it?
I'm not going to Pakistan and going,
hey, what a fun idea this would be, guys.
Mitch, you and I lent into our accents on our Scottish holiday
for like the whole time we were talking in accents.
Yeah, we have fun.
See, this is good.
What about this?
Should we hide lifeboats on cruise ships?
I think it's really off-putting that they put them on the outside.
I agree.
What is going on in your brain?
I agree.
It's like when you have the life jackets,
but they're underneath the seat in the aeroplane,
so you don't have to look at them.
You know they're there.
Yes, yes.
And that little oxygen thing drops out in case of emergency.
You're on the cruise ship.
It's like, FYI, we might need this.
So where do you want them to be?
In a bunker.
So when you're drowning, you can't get to them?
No, the bunker can open up.
It's mechanical.
All right.
What do we like, Mitch's pitch?
I'm getting that you're a hypochondriac.
That's what I'm picking up.
Yeah, and a bit flighty.
