Starting point is 00:00:00 Hi guys and welcome back to another episode of Life Uncut. I'm Laura, and Brittany's not here, because she's on holidays, and we're not really back. So I'm sorry for sliding on into your DMs like this and just, well, giving you a false sense of hope. Actually, we're still on holidays, but what we decided this week is that we're going to package up some of our favorite, favorite episodes for you guys, and we're going to drop an episode each day this week. Just a past episode, you know, from the beginning of time when we started this podcast, so that
Starting point is 00:00:52 we can take a little trip down memory lane and rehash some of our favorite episodes. It is absolutely miserable in Sydney this week. And originally we thought we were going to take the week off and just rest and relax and do what people do when they have holidays. I don't know, be pregnant, lay on the couch and watch 60 episodes of Virgin River. I've also done that. But anyway, instead we thought, instead we thought this would be a really great way to bring you guys some of the episodes, which we have loved, but also for anybody who hasn't been with us since the beginning of Life Uncut and hasn't followed the whole journey so far. I mean, you guys will now see really how far the podcast has come in the past 18 months, not just in the
Starting point is 00:01:34 conversations that we're having, but also in sound quality. I mean, we talk all the time about how we record this podcast on a tiny little machine next to my bed, but I guarantee you it sounds a million times better than what it used to sound when we had a full studio and had zero freaking idea what we were doing. But anyway, look, today's episode is wild and it's probably incredibly inappropriate and there's going to be some people out there who are very confused by it, but it's also great and it is such a good laugh and it just feels like you're sitting down with some girlfriends having a margarita and talking about all your inappropriate dating stories.
Starting point is 00:02:10 the episode i have chosen from today is hungry because girls gotta eat now some of you might know who girls gotta eat are especially if you're part of our facebook group which is life uncut podcast that is because girls gotta eat gets thrown around a whole lot in the facebook group as a podcast recommendation so girls gotta eat is an american podcast it's hosted by two comedians Ashley and Raina and they are honestly the funniest most unfiltered absolutely wild chicks you're ever going to meet in your life and Britt and I we we really genuinely love the podcast we've been big fans for a long time and in February this year we actually went to one of their live shows and then we interviewed them the next day so they did a live show at the comedy
Starting point is 00:02:56 club in the entertainment quarter in Sydney it was oh my gosh I can't even tell you it was so were fucking hilarious. People were talking about the times where their parents had accidentally sent them dick pics. It was wild. And that truly sets the tone for what this interview is. It is incredibly, incredibly wild. I'm pretty sure that Raina is talking about how she was pretending to masturbate with a microphone within the first five minutes of the episode. So if you're easily offended, then maybe this isn't the one for you. But if you want a good laugh and you want something totally lighthearted and just you don't know what day of the week it is what's going on who you are you're still full of Christmas ham this is the episode for you so each day this week Britt and
Starting point is 00:03:42 I are going to choose our favorites tomorrow it's Britt's turn and yep you get the idea Britt then me then Britt then me and then next week we will be back to our normal programming our normal scheduling and we're going to bang out some really awesome episodes in the new year before we have to take another break because I'm having a baby, as you guys already know. But we will keep you posted as we get closer to that due date. But anyway, guys, we really hope that you enjoyed this episode. You enjoyed the trip down memory lane. Currently, Life Uncut is on episode number 100. So this little treat for you all is episode number 13, Hungry Cause Girls Gotta Eat. Hi guys, and welcome back to another episode of Life Uncut.
Starting point is 00:04:44 I'm Laura. And I'm Brittany. And today, that was, did you just sing your intro? I did, I just tried something different. Great, today's the day. Guys, we have such a cracking episode for you today. And that is because we have some very, very special guests all the way from New York. And these ladies are the queens of podcasts.
Starting point is 00:05:05 They have a top relationship, dating, and sex podcast in the United States. They're like us, but on steroids, completely raw, unfiltered, nothing off limit. They receive 2.5 million downloads a month on their very spectacular, raw, and sometimes a little bit raunchy podcast, Girls Gotta Eat. We have Raina and Ashley in the studio. Hi guys. But guys, welcome. We're so glad that you're here.
Starting point is 00:05:33 We're so glad to be here. Ready for a cracking episode. We're going to bring a cracking episode. We've already been updating them on some like proper Australian words. I'm not going to act like a bogan. Oh, nice one. I like the intro part. Can you please act like a bogan?
Starting point is 00:05:46 So girls can be bogans? Oh. No, you don't want to be a bogan. Absolutely do not. I'm trying to think of the American word for this because I feel like it's on the tip of my tongue. Blue collar? It's like a redneck, isn't it? Okay, so we're both from The Bachelor.
Starting point is 00:05:57 I don't know if you know. Have we now? My bachelor was a bogan. Oh, yeah. He was. He was called the honey badger, for God's sake. What? Bogan is a guest.
Starting point is 00:06:06 He's like a footballer, like loves a beer on the weekends, hangs out in a singlet, has kind of long hair and a mustache. I definitely dated this guy. Yeah, he sounds hot, hey? Yeah, we called my ex-boyfriend, all of my ex-boyfriends. We, last night, went to your show, which was at the Comedy Club, and it was freaking fantastic. Thank you so much for the deep, deep belly laughs. I really enjoyed that you started the show by trying to masturbate with a microphone.
Starting point is 00:06:29 That was, please don't do that with owls. That was Raina. They haven't been disinfected. Yeah, we won't do that. It's too early. It's really early. It's like 10 a.m. Raina masturbates all day long.
Starting point is 00:06:39 I woke up at 4.30 this morning and I masturbated. What else are you going to do at 4.30 in the morning? I don't masturbate all day long. I take breaks. Hang on, hang on. Just snacks? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure, Ashley, you said that you love a brunch and choke.
Starting point is 00:06:51 Oh. Is that right? Okay, you really put me on blast. i don't ever masturbate at all i masturbate at night but yeah i'll definitely have sex at any time of day no i my valentine's day was really special i am seeing somebody and we went to breakfast or brekkie as you guys call it and then we like had sex and like the broad daylight sober at like 11 a.m it was the day we left to come to start traveling so it was like a send-off valentine's day it was really special low-key choked before noon this is crazy okay so you
Starting point is 00:07:21 guys are actually here on your tour which was fucking fantastic and i nearly wet myself laughing last night but i i sort of went into the show and i was like you know what i'm gonna like make some notes as i go for today let me i just want to read you what i got oh my god you want to read us all the trash that we said on this is this is as far as i got tampon applicator finger blasting seven text crazy peter pan that's it that's all i got stop writing i was like i so you you talked about your um you guys use applicators right for your tampons because we liked a lot of like hygiene to end up in landfills yeah that's the american way um i've noticed tampons are getting more compact where the applicator kind of slides out so they're they are smaller but yeah i just
Starting point is 00:08:02 i'm not used to just like dry fingering myself to put a tampon in like i've had to do a lot for one in australia but it's not it's i'm not i this is going to be graphic but it's not comfortable I have long nails. Like, it's not something I'm super into. I'm slipping into my nails right now. I really enjoy that this is how the show started, just so that you guys all have some sort of, like, base to understand what Girls Gotta Eat is.
Starting point is 00:08:26 And if you haven't listened to an episode, we really, really highly recommend. You'll laugh from start to finish. The beginning of the show was finger-blasting, template application chat, and pretending to masturbate with a microphone. And I had plenty of time for it. It started because Raina was saying that, like,
Starting point is 00:08:42 she wants to masturbate to everybody in this country because they're so much more attractive we have some very hot guys here however the problem with men in australia is that there is this insane peter pan complex okay where and maybe it's just in the eastern suburbs like where we live we're from bondi but there's a lot of guys there who they're like 45 50 and they're still like oh i'm i'm not ready to settle down like why is she texting me all the time so that is the issue with dating in australia we find that a lot of coastal cities in the united states as well so like we in every single city we say what is dating like in your city and it's really interesting like it's a different brand of terrible in every city and some cities actually
Starting point is 00:09:15 aren't that horrible like the stuff in sydney was not nearly as bad as some stuff we get in the u.s like couldn't even hold a candle to it but i find that the peter pan stuff is like charleston south carolina san diego yeah the coastal cities like the surfing coast yes but that's kind of why you move there like guys move there to be the peter pan forever yeah and what is dating like in new York. Oh God. It's a whole mixed bag. I mean, disaster. I mean, I think that you see this also in like a lot of major cities where like guys just, they have their pick of the most like beautiful, interesting, exciting, fun, smart, successful women in the world. And every woman there is like that. I find that there's then this complex where it's like, they're always waiting
Starting point is 00:09:54 for the next best thing. Cause it's like, they are, if you live in New York, it is a really difficult place to live. It's the most expensive city. It's so hard to live there. Like you got to be at the top of your game. So these men, they are the most successful people in the country that have chosen to live there. They're super kind of like type A, powerful men. Not all of them. I mean, I'm dating someone that's like a 20-something comedian. Like it's not – no. But those businessmen, finance types are just a specific type of guy. But there is every type of person. There's like a Brooklyn hipster. There's a broke open-miker. And then there's like a finance guy. I mean, there really is everything you can find.
Starting point is 00:10:34 But when we talk about that type of New York, it's that high-powered, making money, finance type guy that is kind of the worst. But Raina and I also don't like those guys. We're not – that's not our type. Yeah. Then aren't you a penguin? But we've also, like, had good luck in New York dating, too. I wouldn't want to date in any other city.
Starting point is 00:10:48 Like, I still think that there is a great pool of men there. I don't always find them. But, like, I am just as guilty sometimes of next best syndrome as the men are, you know? Yeah, like, grass is always greener. Yeah. I mean, I want to find somebody who's incredibly good looking and exciting and funny and successful and like does all these cool things and travels. And like, I want to find a unicorn too. So like, I'm part of the problem sometimes too. I'm probably not as big of a jerk as the men. I don't profess that I care about somebody when I don't. Probably another like
Starting point is 00:11:14 level of manipulation that goes in there just to get what you want. Like at least there's some transparency from the female side. And the anonymity, like it's just huge city. So like nobody, it's so big. Like really treat someone like shit and they'll never see them again. maybe you'll run into them in the street, but who cares? Like in smaller cities and smaller towns, you're a little more accountable because you have mutual friends. You know, you're going to see them out. Like when I was in Atlanta, I just feel like people don't, didn't act so much like that because there was a common person or a friend or something that, you know, you just felt a little more accountable. Guys here, I've been single eight years and I've dated, I'm not kidding, every race,
Starting point is 00:11:47 religion, nationality, height, occupation, country. I've been there. Trust me. I fuck around the globe in Sydney. All around the world. What I think happens in Australia is, I don't know if it's like this in new york but nobody wants to approach you in the wild no one ever they they and okay i got asked out finally finally guys update last week on valentine's day oh in the wild he asked for my number oh my god i know right i was like are you unwell are you feeling okay are you dying because it's just like your bucket list tick off no he asked me out i gave him my number he's texted me for a week like non-stop but he hasn't asked me out come on okay so we call it like being pen to death and i like i'm guilty of it too but you gotta shut that shit down and i think it
Starting point is 00:12:27 stands to reason that that person asked for your number because they want to go out with you and i would say one time hey do you want to go grab a drink on tuesday and if he doesn't then i would be done with it i don't care what you did at the gym today i don't care what you ate for breakfast i don't care about your fucking family you live in my phone and i don't give a shit about you i said okay so should we grab a coffee and he's like where is your favorite coffee place i don't like it he's just like trying to talk he's not making any moves and i'm going to bali next week and i was like hey spontaneously going to bali next week in conversation he's like oh maybe i should come i'm like dude you haven't asked me for a fucking coffee no i don't i wouldn't are you
Starting point is 00:12:59 paying but you also then sit in this like relationship purgatory forever with these people where it's like oh maybe this will happen maybe this will happen and it's just this like constant non-commitment forever it's lazy dating i just really think you should let it happen i just i think you should stop talking to him and stop answering him brittany needs some hard love so in this like our dynamic at the podcast is that i am boring i have a kid i'm basically married I don't bring any quality content. Brittany is one that goes out into the wild, dates men, and comes back and reports. I haven't been meaning to tell you this.
Starting point is 00:13:27 I have to tell you before I forget. Please don't. So we're traveling with a friend named Meryl. And then someone DM'd me and they said, oh my gosh, that dog that's in Meryl's Instagram story is this woman, Laura's dog. She's like Australian bachelor famous. My dog is way more famous than me. And like said that was a dog.
Starting point is 00:13:47 It was so crazy. I was like, wait, we're podcasting with her tomorrow. This is so crazy. shut up and i saw the dog twice yesterday and that conversation i just had to tell you before i forget it was so crazy someone messaged me and was like that dog is famous that is so bizarre i have been stopped in the street before by someone who literally ran it was like oh my god oh my god and i was like yeah guys i was on the bachelor she ran straight past me and to my dog and was like i am so excited this was the only thing i don't know what you call it this is the only person i
Starting point is 00:14:14 wanted to meet when i was in bondi and it was my dog not me i deal with that people have tagged me in a story and said the only reason they came to our live show was to see my dog because we bring him to work on the stage he comes on the stage someone's like someone wrote the only reason I come to these shows is to see Dewey yeah we got sick yeah sick we got it I want to go back to what you're saying is I think that we should give advice to girls that like go through this kind of stuff where like you're just being like pen pal to death and I was in this sort of situation with somebody recently where he just kept like I like him he's fun to hang out with but he kept responding to my Instagram stories and asking me all these questions about what me and Ashley are doing and
Starting point is 00:14:45 It felt like he was like this observer of my life. Yeah, and you're like, what are you doing? It's not reciprocal in any way. It's just like you're just asking me all these questions so you can like know about me. I'm assuming like you guys are pretty well known and so you probably run into people that just like want to be in your airspace. But it's also attention seeking, right? It's like someone who – it's a noncommittal thing because they're constantly getting this drip feed of attention for themselves. So they're like – they're satisfying some need that they have.
Starting point is 00:15:10 Yeah. We were talking about – he said women's relationship, you know, eight years, single, whatever. You guys are having these conversations over text? That's what I said. This is insane. That's crazy. Like, okay, keep going. So he's lost relationship.
Starting point is 00:15:21 This was it. He's like, I've never actually had one. Actually, the only one I had was, we were like long distance pen pals. Oh, this is like red flag after red flag after red flag. Was he hot? That's why you're hanging on. If you're having fun, you get something out of it too, then fine. Take the attention.
Starting point is 00:15:34 But like, I would just say, do you want to grab a drink or a coffee on Tuesday at six? And if he doesn't, then stop responding. Brittany's favorite color is red flags. She's like a bull. my love language is red flags that was actually one of my questions I was gonna ask you what your love languages are so perfect same way mine's attention and wine I'm like all of them so I want someone to touch me whilst giving me a present and telling me I'm pretty I'm like bit avid a baby to say quality time is mine and I mean like quality time your priority times I love
Starting point is 00:16:06 spending time with people because my if I don't like you I'm not spending time with you so it's like my number one like I just don't spend time with people I don't like I don't go to dinner or people don't like I don't I've my our time is limited it's precious there's power in that isn't it power in getting to a point in your life where you can say no I was bad at that for a long time I'm like oh I feel bad I should just go even then you don't want to and now I'm like I actually don't want to do that so I'm not going to go if it's not going to bring you joy or money don't go Marie Kondo the shit out of your life people about everything about your life if it doesn't spark joy I am not going to do it well if it sparks money I'll do it I think verbal affirmations and physical
Starting point is 00:16:38 is pretty close I'm like a pretty sexual person I like to be touched I like to have sex a lot I like kissing and cuddling I'm like a very touchy person even my girlfriends I am I think that all of them are important I think everybody I've really cared about has like embodied one a little more than the other I need verbal affirmations though like I dated somebody for a long term he just never said anything really nice to me he did a lot of nice things he was thoughtful but he never said like you look really nice in that dress or I'm really proud of you or I'm really excited to see you and after like asking so many times to be like hey like could you just act like in a nice way to be like hey it would be nice if you could just like get excited to see me or like be like
Starting point is 00:17:13 hey i know you bought that dress to look nice for me you look great i can't ask 10 more times like it's just the relationship has to be over i joke that i'm like physical and give me a present but i'm not really for somebody to say something to me like i'm proud of you means so much more yeah than than anything you could buy me gifts makes me feel uncomfortable i don't like receiving gifts gifts make me like i'm like what do i need to do back for you now like i don't even like people buying me dinner on a first date and stuff like this and we've had this conversation about like what's your first dating etiquette and like how should you kind of navigate that i hate it because i feel like if a guy buys me dinner then i owe him something like i need to see him another
Starting point is 00:17:49 time or there's some sort of like contractual obligation there like i hate being given stuff for the first dinner it's like pay for everything what do you guys think about dinner on a first date who pays oh who pays well we don't even like i don't love the idea of dinner on a first date i mean i think like i would never go to dinner with somebody i met on an app because you're like locked into a meal. Like I just think drinks, like I think you feeling somebody out over a few drinks, then you see what you want to do. But like if some stranger from hinge was like, let's go to dinner. I'd be like, I'm not doing that. I do think a guy should pay for the first tab that is presented to you just as like this hard and fast rule to make it less awkward. Like not about
Starting point is 00:18:27 because I want you to pay for me. Just, this is kind of old school, but like my thing is like, if we, if I bounce around with a guy, I've went on like an eight hour day once with a guy. And Like, by the end of the date, I felt like we'd spent a lot of money in New York City going to, like, four different places. I bet I'd – I bet we were equal. Like, I bet we both spent, like, $100 by the end of the night. And that's fine with me. I just – I don't want someone to spend hundreds of dollars on me, a stranger.
Starting point is 00:18:49 But I also don't want to haggle over that first tap. It's so weird to me. I hate this, like, weird, awkward, like, should I pay – every time I go out with a man, just pick up the drinks. Also, my first dates and her first dates are always at, like, a dive bar. The drinks are a couple – like, $11, $12. I'm going to make you buy me like a $25 glass of wine here. Pick up the next tab.
Starting point is 00:19:08 Like it just, it's not that I am not grabbing my wallet, but that first, let's just, let's just not make it awkward. I went on this lunch date, super casual. Let's get a sandwich and a smoothie at Bondi. Let's sit on the grass. Cute. Whatever. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:21 Like you'd think it was cute. We get to the first, we get to the first sandwich place and I just automatically go to pay because I hate that awkwardness. Hand over my card. I never have cash anywhere. And they're like, oh, sorry. It's cash only. I think it's funny.
Starting point is 00:19:33 i'm like oh like sorry do you have cash i don't have cash he's like oh okay likely story like a bit and i was like oh but like and i was like oh maybe that was a joke first date so he hands over and it was so awkward that i was like okay look we'll like i'll grab the smoothies across the road so we're sort of even this is not a fucking seafood restaurant it was a sandwich we go across the road to the smoothie place i go to pay again they say sorry it's cash only he's like i can't believe she's doing me this great i think this is hilarious right i'm just like this is so fucking funny. And I look at him laughing and he's really deadpan. And I'm like, sorry, it's obvious I've tried to pay twice. And he said, are you just taking me to all the places you know are cash
Starting point is 00:20:11 only? That's a weird accusation. So I say, look, I can stop an ATM on the way to the beach if you want and get you some money out. And he's like, okay. And I was like, oh my God. So I'm walking to the ATM and I'm like sort of going real slow, like fumbling for my card. Like, are you actually going to make me do this? And he just stood back and waited. I got $20 out and gave it to him. and he's like thanks i feel so weird inside right now everything is dry i hate that vagina has left the belly and he goes i had a really good date i think we had a connection can i see you again and i was like wrong absolutely not it's just it's rude and here's what i'll compare it to yes i when we started the podcast i had somebody do literally exactly this to me we walked up to
Starting point is 00:20:48 a bar it was i always offer to pay and he acted weird and made me go to an atm watched you in like an atm line yes stood there in the pouring rain watched me in an atm date that he invited me two drinks for eight dollars i if a total stranger was next to me at a bar and they were like it's all cash and that person's like shit i would give a total straight look twenty dollars is a lot of money to people some people i don't want to be like i'd piss twenty dollars but like if a stranger was like fuck i don't want to go out in the rain i'd be like here's ten bucks i wouldn't be a jerk a hundred percent there's nothing there's nothing more awkward than money which is why i don't fight a guy when he wants to pay at the start but i'll go get the drinks
Starting point is 00:21:22 after and that's what i tell our listeners when they ask for advice i'm like don't offer let him pay and then you get the drinks. If a guy straight out is going to be like, I'm not going to pay for your sandwich or your smoothie and you need to get money out from the ATM. I would think he was not interested in me at all. Like that is such a clear indication. Pay for my girlfriend's sandwich. Like it's no big deal. I wouldn't even treat a friend like that. I wouldn't even ask Raina to go to the ATM to pay for that. I think the implication is that they will never see you again. So why should I be on the hook for this bill? I went out with this guy in LA this week and like just a coffee shop, like nothing, a $5 date, you know, but I got there and he already
Starting point is 00:21:55 had a coffee and like i walked in he got up with me he stood in line with me he paid for my drink it's five dollars but like i thought it was like a chivalrous nice kind of thing to do he didn't make me go stand by myself and pay for my shit we we get this question a lot too um sex on a first date what do you guys think like i did it i'm dating the guy brain and i say like it's so dependent on how you how confident you are as a person how you act afterwards a lot of women can't do that. You know, I think even when you're younger and that's not condescending, even when I was younger, you know, it's like you get attached to somebody, you start to get a little needy and insecure about it. And that's just not who I am now in my thirties. So I am able to do
Starting point is 00:22:37 that and like wake up and not freak out and, you know, kind of not expect anything and just be able to be chill about it. So it's, it's, it's how you are as a person and how you act. Cause I think that makes such a world of difference. Yes. Some guys will have sex with you and never talk to you again but they could do that after the fourth date so it's just it is it's very specific on the type of people and how both parties act and you know he and I went out we were having a great time we connected and we had sex and I wanted to have sex and I mean I'll be honest with you afterwards I felt a little like was that the right move I saw Raina the next morning I was like feeling a little like iffy about it but then you're also like but this also makes good content
Starting point is 00:23:10 so it's okay it was great it was like and he he gets what I do and so it was like we had shows that weekend I was able to talk about it so I was like that was the right move because if nothing else i got the content but like you know he messaged me next morning and it just it worked for me it doesn't mean that it's yeah i mean we always say like do what you want to do like if you feel like having sex with somebody have sex with somebody there's nothing wrong with waiting either like fucking somebody doesn't mean they'll never date you and holding off for 60 dates doesn't mean that they will date you i don't think it hurts to wait you could definitely wait if you want to have sex with somebody on the first date you will definitely want to have sex them a few
Starting point is 00:23:42 dates in but I totally agree with her about like how you act and owning what you do like I we have a good friend who called me after a date that he went on one date with this girl a couple drinks go back to her place on like a weeknight and they had sex and he was like she I guess he got up to leave right afterwards and she like flipped out on him and she was really really angry that he like wouldn't stay at the apartment with her didn't want to like cuddle and talk and she's like we just had sex and he's not the kind of person that like ever feels bad about anything so like I'm sure it was really bad and I said like this is a consenting an adult you know you went on a date you were not wasted you didn't take advantage of her like you slept with her
Starting point is 00:24:19 it's a school night you can go home you didn't do anything wrong and but we say too like we really more so than sleep with somebody in the first date I we more so preached you wait because the the longer you let that chemistry build up the better it's going to be and also girls I think sometimes don't know what to do. Like, cause you, if you're back and you're like making out on the couch and you're like, Oh, well like clothes are coming off. Like just, you can just leave. Like you can just leave or you can ask them to leave. Like you can totally just have hot steamy makeouts with somebody for a few dates. It's fine. Like we, we talked to multiple men. They're like, that's great. Like if someone's ever pressuring you and you feel like you should be having sex,
Starting point is 00:24:55 you should never do it. Like I did this because it was in the moment. It felt right. It is what it is. I mean, this guy's significantly younger than me. I didn't know if we were going to have the future i was wanted to get laid it was like a thing that happened and then it worked it ended up working out but there's just also like no harm in waiting my last serious relationship we've waited like over a month this is one of the things we've talked about in a past episode in that like sometimes when you put yourself in a situation where you are like back heavy petting like you're getting it on and then a guy turns around and is very oh come on come on come on come on and push leave and never speak to them again fuck that person not a good guy don't fuck that person
Starting point is 00:25:27 don't fuck that i totally agree with ashley it does not matter how far it's gone you can have your top off they can be like sucking on your tits to get a little handsy it doesn't matter you can hop off that person and leave and i wish somebody would have told me that when i was like 1920 because i think i was always in situations always like where i'd go back to a guy's place i was drinking we're in bed we're hooking up and i was like well i'm here no one ever i don't want to act like i've ever been physically assaulted i haven't been but i just didn't know what else to do i was just like i guess we'll fuck and then guys that don't ever talk to you after that we're never gonna date you so i think sometimes as well as like one of the sort of points that we've
Starting point is 00:26:00 talked about in the past is that like, you might go into a situation with a guy where you don't really have strong feelings for him at all. And you're still trying to figure it out yourself. But then once you have sex for a woman, sometimes that changes things. And then all of a sudden you're like, well, why doesn't he like me? Why doesn't he want to be with me? Why isn't he calling me back? Why isn't he? And these are these conversations that you're having with yourself. But if you could actually remove yourself from that situation and think about it logically, you'd be like, oh, I don't like him either. But hormonally, you just do. It's a real chemical reaction.
Starting point is 00:26:28 You just do. science so this is science i'm very turned on by like a hot makeout you're like up against a wall like i'll go i'll masturbate to that and like i don't need to and i don't care if a guy's like come on come on come on i don't care you can pull your dick out i don't even have sex with you so i've seen this guy recently and um not sleeping with him i didn't want to yet and this is why i want to say this message to people that listen because we will we would like get hot and heavy make out have that and then he would try and sleep with me and i'd say i'm not sleeping with you like don't want to sleep with you he would keep trying and trying to the point that i was like i've told
Starting point is 00:26:58 you like i was like what are you doing like if you i've told you i'm not gonna sleep with you and he's and he said why not why and i said i don't need to give you a reason right my answer is no and i and that's it that's the reason i don't feel like it that's the reason then he said um well you know usually girls say no and then you just keep going and they do it and i was like uh i don't want to say that i'm gonna leave now right i was like it was really blown away i was like that's not cool and it just made me think about all these young women out there that that's what happens to them they don't want to but they're in this situation where they're like oh like it's easy just to do it because they're putting the pressure on but my message in this and i'm glad
Starting point is 00:27:34 you guys brought it up too is that you absolutely doesn't matter how deep you are how no pun intended or how far along you are you don't have to do anything and you can pull the pin at any point it's between a good guy and a bad guy it just is it's just it's the guys that i have my my brother and like my close guy friends it's like they could be no this is weird that i said my brother and i'm gonna say dick but like they can be dick out and if you say no they will stop and they will be glad to stop because they are like guys you know there is some confusion with some men regarding consent but like a good guy that you should ever date is like the second you say stop he's he's out like it's just anybody that's pressuring you is not a good guy it is
Starting point is 00:28:13 it's black and white to me even if you say no and then you never hear from him again that is a good thing like if you're saying no to someone and then they're pressuring you and then afterwards you're like oh well maybe and then maybe they would have dated me you don't want to date that guy anyway no i want to be the man that has enough first of all it's had enough sex that they don't need to badger me that has enough self-control that they can just walk away that knows that they like me enough that they could wait a little bit otherwise that's just like not a nice guy like and i think that that's why guys like that seek out really young girls because i didn't know how to say no then yeah and i didn't know how to stand up for myself i don't even know how i knew how to
Starting point is 00:28:47 identify the behavior as predatory and i don't know that it always is as deep as being predatory sometimes you're just drunk and they're like come on come on come on I just I don't know that I ever knew how to like get up and leave yeah well that was one of our next questions which was what for you is different dating in your 30s versus dating in your 20s and how does that now like dictate the way that you deal with your relationships and navigate your dating life well experience and knowledge and being able to like detect these red flags and bad behavior and thing and things like that and just like being so confident and knowing what you want and just like not settling for anything less. I mean, that's kind of, I just have so much like self respect and self love
Starting point is 00:29:25 that I won't settle for a guy that a isn't really into me or is not treating me the way I want to be treated. I mean, it's just, that's just what it is. So there's just a, just a bar and you don't like measure up. I don't, I don't care. Just that's, I hope that people that with what we talk about in our podcast has changed when we know it is, you know, like change the way young women think about dating and men and things like this. It's just like knowing who you are and knowing what you want, knowing what you, you know, deserve. And so that's really it. I mean, and sexually just asking for what you want,
Starting point is 00:29:58 knowing what you like in bed. It's just confidence, isn't it? Yeah, it's just confidence. In every aspect, confidence to say no, confidence to say what you want, confidence just to be who you are and not worry about what you say and do, how they're going to judge you or how it's going to affect them. It's like I used to care so much and now I'm like, thank you, bye. I think you get better at reading people too
Starting point is 00:30:17 and you can make better decisions because you've read this book before, you know, and you can make more educated decisions. And, you know, somebody will say something to me on a first date that I might have brushed off before, and now I know, like, that's who you are. And there's nothing wrong with it, but it's not – you're not my person, you know. And I also take things a little less personal. I don't have to be so mad. I don't have to be so jealous or angry or offended.
Starting point is 00:30:37 You're just not my person, and that's totally fine, but I don't have to, like, keep going back in for more. And I like men as they get a little older. I mean, I still think that they're just as immature, but I think they're a little more fully formed in the sense that like by like 35 they're pretty much doing what they're gonna do for the rest of their lives frontal lobe is formed yes and I don't I think people can always change for sure but I think that like somebody who's floundering and can't figure it out at 23 should be afforded some time I think that somebody at 35 who's just
Starting point is 00:31:06 floundering can't get it together isn't kind isn't any of these I don't think you're really going to change that much and so I could again make a more educated decision immediately and just like I think sex is a lot better as I get older I just I don't even know that anybody told me that sex was for my pleasure when I was like in my early 20s like I don't remember fucking to have orgasms I remember fucking so that the man could have an orgasm and I enjoyed it like I always enjoyed sex you got off it was like a nice surprise yeah I can't believe you can do this for me but like now like I expect a man to like go down on me I expect foreplay I like all kinds of things that I just wouldn't have asked for or done I think what's really great and I think
Starting point is 00:31:45 that's what what's what I try and bring to this half of the podcast and I love that that's what you guys are about too and it's about being in your 30s and there's a whole like people that always are like why are you single why can't you meet anyone aren't you lonely like fuck my life's amazing yeah people get people women now feel like they're failing when they're 30 and single but I don't see that as a failure at all and I think you need to get to this point where you're happy and confident in yourself before you're ever going to be with anyone else yeah i mean we're dating and relationship podcast but i think the number one piece of advice we give to everybody always is just have a life that you're proud of that you're excited about and um it's not a failure
Starting point is 00:32:22 to be single at 30 it's a failure to me to be in a miserable relationship at 30 but like i would rather be single and happy and fulfilled and there's a comedian that i really like his name's ari shafir he's been on our show and um he's the stand-up special and he says like people always say to me like if you don't have kids are you gonna be so lonely and he's like i think about it and i pick up my phone and i call people that i'm not lonely like there's things you could do in your life to not be lonely you nailed it on the head like you would rather be alone and be happy than be with some fuck boy for the rest of your life who's gonna make you miserable but like our lives are amazing like we're here like we're like touring we're performing we're making money
Starting point is 00:32:56 we're traveling all over the world it's like this is great i mean what you're what would be what's the alternative i have a husband and kids no thank you it's not that bad but like it's not for me I talk a lot on our podcast about how absolutely fucking crazy I was in past relationships. Like I was a girl who went through guys' phones. I was a girl who set up fake profiles to stalk my boyfriends. Like I was the next stage of crazy. But that's because I dated guys who made me that way. I dated guys who made me insecure.
Starting point is 00:33:24 And at the time, I genuinely thought, oh my God, maybe I'm this person. Maybe I'm mentally unstable. And now that I'm in a relationship where I'm treated like a goddamn princess, I'd never do that. you know, and I know that it was all situational. So I feel like I can give relationship advice because I have been on the other side of the line. What's a huge red flag when a man says to you that their ex was crazy. My first reaction is that was what'd you do? Yeah. A hundred percent. How'd you make that happen? Because people bring that out in each other. Brandon and I were just talking about earlier today, how crazy I was with my ex. And I'm, I mean, I would say that he was crazy
Starting point is 00:33:56 and he would say that I was crazy and he's in a relationship now that I'm sure is very healthy. And you know, the relationships I will be in from here on out will be very healthy and stable. And it's like whatever we did when we were together was like a disaster we literally talked about this on the last episode as well where like you can pour methylated spirits on someone's crazy and set that shit on fire and then other people put it out the good and the bad so reina what i wanted to ask you was if you're happy to talk about it don't want to rub salt in the wound but you were engaged once i'm very happy to talk about it seven years ago yeah uh-huh it's an open gaping wound still i'm still emotionally in recovery we get a lot of stuff about people saying like i've just
Starting point is 00:34:32 my partner has left me heartbroken goes to me how do I start again at and they're saying things like how do I start again at 27 28 29 how do you get back out there and I think I don't know what your story is if he cheated on you why he left or anything but if you want to just like give us a little rundown and then how you got back into the wild and like got back on your feet yeah I mean the very the brief overview is that like he left me the day after our engagement party but uh I think that the day after the day after um well he'd be sure to tell me the day of that he wasn't in love with me just so that he could ruin the party i just i don't think that with long term we were honestly a match i don't know that i was um adept enough to to look down the road and know
Starting point is 00:35:08 that he just really couldn't get his life together and that was and he didn't like himself and he hated me because i was successful and that i mean that's the long and short of it we just weren't like a great match he also wasn't like intellectually a match for me but a great person like i hate what he did i don't hate him so that's that's the long and short of it and i think that when you're 27 and everybody around you is getting married and starting up kids you're like shit how can i start over again. And Ashley and I have a couple episodes that we're really, really proud of about how to get back out into the world after that and how to heal. And I think, first of all, you've got to let yourself heal. Talk to everybody that will listen to you. I think you should cry
Starting point is 00:35:41 about it. I think you should journal about it. I think you should be really angry. Don't talk to that person about it. Don't talk to your ex about it. Talk to everybody. Just let yourself feel the things. You don't have to feel better tomorrow. I think everybody's like, what is this thing that will fix it? Nothing really, time, nothing else. But hopefully you can surround yourself with people you love. And then, you know, think about what else do I have in my life? You know, I was 27 and he left me and I just, I wasn't that interesting. I didn't have that many hobbies. I didn't have a ton of friends. I didn't really done anything I was super excited about. And so I was like, okay, let me go to culinary school. Let me start traveling. Let me reconnect with
Starting point is 00:36:13 people that I'm excited to be friends with. Let me read books. And I got a camera. I learned how to like do photography. I just did other shit. I think you have to mourn, but I think women are a little bit better at like, okay, I'm going to go to the gym more. And like when I, when I'm through a terrible breakup, I just like was in the best shape of my life. I was like working out more. Yoga really helped me. I started cooking more. I started doing all kinds of stuff. And then I eventually moved to New York. We met Raina, we started this podcast. So it's just kind of doing those things you weren't probably ever going to do. I mean, I can't even imagine Raina, like married at 27. Like I, I can't picture her now just like had married this guy and then what,
Starting point is 00:36:48 probably had a kid, moved back to Pittsburgh. It's like your life could have gone this totally a different way. And like, here we are just like have this podcast and traveling the world and touring. It's just like, man, from trauma, like from trauma, some of the best growth can happen. And like all of it, all the best growth, but yeah, absolutely. Right. But only if you want that and only if you project that, because I think it can take one of two ways, like, just like you said, you can sit in it and you can feel, feel the pain and go through that. Or, or alternatively the pain, if you're not, if you can't handle it and you can't handle that anxiety that comes with it at the very early stages, getting back with someone who's a dickhead
Starting point is 00:37:21 because it's, it feels better to be back with them straight away than to try and sit through that hurt. And so I think for some people, like be really aware that breakups are supposed to fucking hurt. They hurt. And like, you have to get through that first part before you can get into the good stuff where you actually start to get some personal growth out of it. Yeah. Growth doesn't have to happen day one. Afford yourself the time, like be fucking mad and be disappointed and upset. and like I you know day one is different than day 30 and that's different than day 365 and it took me a really long time to get over this and to start dating in a healthy way to stop thinking about it to stop talking about it to everybody all the time um you know day one through 30 I just I
Starting point is 00:37:59 unfollowed him on social media I blocked his friends and family for me I had to cancel my wedding of course and I leaned on my parents to do that it's humiliating and it's okay that that's humiliating and I really thought I was the only person that had ever gone through something like this. So I'm, I would go on the internet, find other people that have gone through this, listen to podcasts. You don't have to like wake up day two and be like personal growth time. I bought a ticket to Miami. I went to Miami with my friends and I cried and had a shitty time. Like you could do that too. And it's fine. Nobody's going to judge you for that. And everybody's been through that. And then jumping back into the dating world. Um, if you've been in a relationship for a long
Starting point is 00:38:37 time people are like oh i'm mortified i don't want to go on online dating but i think in the world now that's that's it isn't it everyone's online it's like i think there's no shame yeah like no one cares i've got three dating apps simultaneously oh yeah just firing up right now oh you guys have raya i've heard you talk about it what do you think of it i'm yeah i'm i'm on it i haven't even looked at in forever i need to cancel it because they're charging me for it um I don't know. It's just like, I personally, I am, I've just, I've not really had success. I've gone on plenty of dates from the apps, but anybody I've actually dated, gone on a
Starting point is 00:39:11 few dates with, dated, had anything significant with, I've just met them in the wild. It just is what it is. It's just not really for me, but I've gone on so many dates from Hinge. I mean, I've gone on the dates. I don't know. It's just never, it's always worked better for me meeting somebody in the wild. I only really meet on, to be honest, Hinge. it's like yeah that's what i've been here in the wild it doesn't really happen here
Starting point is 00:39:33 i have a question you said like men don't really approach you and i we we got that same feedback from other girls here are they weird when you approach them is it odd to approach a person i approach guys like i'm happy to and um i've most of the people i've ever dated i have either gone up to them and spoken to them slid into their dms approach like been the first person to talk to them online like i have no problem with that and also i've gotten to the point where i realize that you have to go after what you want because they're not going to do it. And I don't know what it is with Australian men. I don't know if they're intimidated, lazy, grass is always greener, just can't be bothered. I don't know, but they just don't. And it sucks because I can, if any
Starting point is 00:40:11 guys are listening, I know so many women that are like, I would say yes to somebody that normally wouldn't if he asked me out in real life because it just doesn't happen. It's very rare. I mean, maybe I'm wrong that you strike up a conversation with somebody and they're like, whoa, I have a girlfriend and you are ugly, back up. It's not that bad. If you start to talk to somebody in public and you feel if they're interested or not, are they asking a follow-up question? If you make a move and you say something to somebody in a bar or in a coffee shop or whatever, I think that you're going to know if they're interested or not. I think we pick up on social cues enough. If they're not, you leave it. That doesn't really feel like such a rejection. It's
Starting point is 00:40:50 like, who knows what that person has going on? They're just not into this. It's so rare that It's like a, whoa, girl, back up off me. Yeah. You're so thirsty. But even if you do get rejected in real life. Who cares? Who is that person? Who cares?
Starting point is 00:41:03 Yeah, exactly. Like it shouldn't, I guess, don't allow it to like affect you so much to a point where you feel bad about yourself or you feel like you're not good enough because you have no idea who that person is and what's going on in their life. They might put you guys in the Daily Mail. They might be like, oh my God, Brit approached me. It was so awkward. I went up to one guy once and I was like, all right, I'm going to go talk to him.
Starting point is 00:41:21 He was at the bar and I went up to him and I looked at him. He looked at me and we were this far away, like next to each other. And I panicked. And I go, I like your glasses. But that's a good opener, right? You don't need to be like, I want to suck your dick. What's a good cocktail here? Have you ever been here before?
Starting point is 00:41:39 Yeah, you guys danced and walked away. And I was like, oh, no worries. Well, that guy sucks. Somebody walked up to me. It could be like the ugliest troll on the earth. And if he said, I like your glasses, I'd be like, thank you. Like, who are you? And you would chat, right?
Starting point is 00:41:51 I know. I would say thank you and be polite and then not give him another opening. Like, that's the thing. It's like if you compliment somebody, you can tell pretty quickly if they want to continue that conversation, whether, by the way, they kind of look at you and then if they want to continue talking. But also being rejected by somebody. Oh, I should say not rejected, being let down, whatever.
Starting point is 00:42:11 I mean, after you've been rejected on national television, nothing's as bad. But being rejected, it's not, it's not the end of the world. They don't know who you are. And there are 7.5 billion people in the world. Just because someone that you approached in a pub doesn't want to continue the conversation, you don't need to go home and cry and be like, what? And honestly, think about how many people you've rejected in your life. It's totally fine.
Starting point is 00:42:32 And if that person rejects you, then there's no hope for the rest of us because I don't look like you. If you're out here getting rejected, I'm like, ugh. I just, I don't care. Guys, it's a numbers game. It is a numbers game. I just, I'm, look, I'm not so hard shell, but like it doesn't hurt my feelings a little bit if somebody isn't attracted to me, but like, that's not my person and that's fine. And I'm
Starting point is 00:42:53 probably better than them and richer than them anyway. So fuck that. So guys, after being at your show last night and you guys brought some amazing, amazing unfiltered stories, we do a segment on our show every week where we ask for people to write in and give us their most unfiltered, most embarrassing stories that have happened to them. And so this week we're asking you to bring us your unfiltered stories. I was talking to this guy, this was a while back and he had sent me like a photo of him kind of like snuggled up in bed and he was like, Sundays are for naps. And I was like, oh my God, that's like so cute. You know, like he's so witty. I think he's not because he is dumb. I've talked to him and he's dumb. Yeah. So I was like, oh my God, he knows what day it is.
Starting point is 00:43:31 Like he's so smart. So I was on my way to the spray tan salon. And so I was like, okay, what I'm going to do is when I get there, I, cause he had sent me like a picture without a shirt on the day before. So I felt like we were like in topless territory. So it was fine. So I was like, I'm gonna you get to the spray tan salon, you know, you get like, it's all like sprayed, you look skinny and tan. And I was going to take a photo, like fully nude in the mirror and in Instagram and then put like censored like gifts over my private parts. And like 25 filters as well. Yeah. Well, I actually didn't need it. You know, I had the spray tan, that's the filter in itself. Um, if you can't tone it, tan it. So like I, I took the photo and over my like vagina, I did like a blinking
Starting point is 00:44:06 censored gift. And then over my breasts, why did I say breasts? I don't know what titties. Um, I said, it just said Sundays are for spray tans. Cause he had said Sundays are for naps. You know, I was like trying to be cute. So I, I took the photo. It looked great. I did the thing. And like, I sent it through to Instagram to him. And I, I like when I tell this story at our, I've told on our shows before, like, I'm kind of like, if you listen to the podcast, you know, that like, I think everything I do is like perfect all the time. So I know I don't really go back and like proofread my work, but I forgot to save it. And I was like, I want to show like Raina, you know, I'm like, save it if I need to show another guy down the road, whatever.
Starting point is 00:44:41 So I went back in Instagram and clicked on what I had sent him. And it let me open it because it was like saved as a video because there was a GIF on it, whatever. And there was no GIFs on it. So it was just my naked body, no context, no emojis, no captions, no nothing. I was like, oh, my God. And I'm just in that blacked out pants, just titties and vagina, like labia. At least you were 10. Yeah, I looked great.
Starting point is 00:45:03 Betrayed by Instagram. So I was so betrayed. I was like, I cannot believe they would do this to me after all I've done for them. And luckily, because it was an Instagram, was able to unsend it before he opened it. Like, I just, like, thank God. I really don't know what I would have done if he would have seen it. Like, I can't even imagine. We were not there yet.
Starting point is 00:45:19 You just have to own it. And so I unsent it. But then I was in this, like, panic. Like, I was blacked out from panic. And I texted him, oh, my God, I almost just sent you a nude. And he was like, okay, so send me the nude, right? Like, he's a guy. He was like, I want to see it.
Starting point is 00:45:37 And he was supposed to come visit me in a couple weeks. He lived in a different city. I don't want to say which city. But anyway, I lived in New York. He lived in a different city. And I was like, I'll send you the nude when you send me your flight confirmation. And he – because I thought that was, like, so cute and funny. And then that's when he told me he was driving.
Starting point is 00:45:54 It was, like, a 12-hour drive where he lived. And I was so turned off by it. So the joke is that I, like, ended it because he was poor. It really was other reasons than that. But that was, like, the beginning of the end. Kind of fizzled out anyway. but like I still think about that moment of like just full nude like he would have opened that and been like what like what is wrong with her maybe he would have booked the flight you guys are right
Starting point is 00:46:20 so I um I have a story for you guys that somebody has written in and this is in response to your uh show last night where you were talking about like Rainer and Ashley were talking about last night people accidentally seeing photos of their parents naked or their parents seeing photos of themselves naked it's my favorite new segment that we do it's so fun it's so i'm just going to paraphrase the story because it is it is a long one basically this this listener has written in and she has said that she was at work this one day and she was serving some customers and her nan had come in to visit her and anyway her dad had sent her a text message and had shown up in notifications and like you guys you know when you get a little notification thumbnail message and
Starting point is 00:46:57 you can just see the picture but you can't really make out what it is and she's gone on to say that Her dad often sends her memes and often sends her, like, random picture messages. And so she was like, hmm, that looks unusual. But I will open that later because I'm at work. Could be inappropriate. Anyway, having a chat to Nan, having a chat to some customers. And Nan was like, no, no, no. Like, open it.
Starting point is 00:47:18 Open it. Like, you know, it's a message from your dad. So the listener decides she will open it. And she has received a picture from her dad, which is a picture of his flaccid penis angled angled at the camera oh my god with a caption hungry dinner tonight why is it flattered that's my question and it turns out after some investigation that was meant to be sent to his wife and not to his youngest daughter i'm dying i would never recover i would never ever recover what do you think is like an acceptable uh course of action after that i would
Starting point is 00:47:56 divorced my parents did he realize do we know if he realized it well so what she has then done is she has forwarded that picture to her sister because she felt like she needed some moral support in this situation well like just once my sibling would never forgive me if they had to share in this with me i would i would have to i would have to send it to my brother he would have to experience that trauma with me dad just sent me a dick pic i better be on that group so guys we have decided that on this episode because we have some very wise wise women here with us we're going to bring forward some of our ask uncut questions and throw it to you guys ash and rainer and see what you have to say to our audience brit which which
Starting point is 00:48:34 question do you want to go with yeah i'm going to go straight for this one my boyfriend and i have been together for eight years we are so close and we don't normally have any issues lately though i've been noticing how close my boyfriend is with my best friend and it's making me uncomfortable they snapchat each other all the time they've been to the gym together a few times and he often knows what's happening with her before I even know. I've brought it up with him. He acts like I'm being ridiculous and that there's no need for me to be insecure because it's my best friend, but I am insecure and I can't help it.
Starting point is 00:49:03 I do trust them. I feel like logically I know nothing is going on, but I can't help but be worried. Can I ask him to stop hanging out with her altogether or am I overreacting like he tells me I am? So I'm not a part of their relationship and I don't know what their history is. So it's hard to be like, yes, tell him. I don't know if he's cheated before. I don't know if they have trust issues and I don't know if she's with a partner that
Starting point is 00:49:23 totally invalidates everything she feels all the time. So like we say, it's like very important to be with a partner that validates how you feel. But like if this is a new behavior and it's setting off red flags for you, I don't know. I don't think it's totally out of the question to ask for the behavior to stop. Wait, talk to your friend. What is going on here? Like this is crazy. Like I would never stand for this.
Starting point is 00:49:44 Like unless they were like friends first and they like, this must have just started happening that her boyfriend and her best friend go to the gym together, just the two of them? Absolutely fucking not. I would never. I love your rage.
Starting point is 00:49:56 I'm so here for this. I would never stand for this. What are you talking about? You're going to the gym one-on-one, you're Snapchatting. Absolutely not. I have no patience for this.
Starting point is 00:50:03 And I wouldn't be the friend either that would do that. I could never, ever in a million, there's not one person I'm friends with who I'm Snapchatting their boyfriend,
Starting point is 00:50:12 telling the boyfriend what's up with me, socializing with the boyfriend without it. And that doesn't mean that I want to like suck their dick. it's inappropriate it's inappropriate it doesn't need to happen I read this and I said to Laura
Starting point is 00:50:22 straight up I was like I don't want to be the pessimist like this is you just don't do it like I'm thinking of like my best friend Corey like her or Kate like their husband like I don't know maybe if like Corey couldn't come with us or something we would maybe do something I just can't even picture it but like I'm like we're family like they're married like I still don't think it would happen but if I don't know if like I was around Corey was taking care of the baby and Pam was like, hey, you want to go get in a boxing workout? But Corey would be privy to all of it. Like, that's the thing.
Starting point is 00:50:49 Like, if I'm ever talking to my friend's boyfriend or husband, like, they're involved. It's a group chat. It's a group chat. We were saying this about, like, in relation to us and our friendship. And I was like, if you were Snapchatting Matt and going to the gym with Matt and he knew things about you before I knew things, I was like, our friendship would be done and I would be having some very serious conversations with him. I'm just going to delete my Snapchat now.
Starting point is 00:51:11 Like, that is not... fucking stop sending my partner nudes but yeah like i that if you and i genuinely believe this with so much in life like if your intuition is telling you that something is wrong like it's telling you that something's wrong because there is something dangerous that's happening like that is your body saying this isn't right fucking explore why it's not right and don't let someone gaslight you and tell you that you're being crazy because you're probably not being crazy well have you told him not to hang out with every female ever in the last eight years every female attacks him are you losing your shit or is this like a one-off situation you're like what the fuck is
Starting point is 00:51:43 going on here 100 and honestly maybe one time i could tolerate my friend like communicating with my man without me but like over and over again if it's trying to like plan a surprise present for you yeah if they're gonna buy me something exactly that's totally maybe he's maybe he's planning a proposal and in which case like we can all suck our words but unless there's something that's happening later the proposal at the gym yes like no it's so rare that i would say i will say it through all my relationships and all my girlfriends it's never happened to me that my man has had any type of relationship with a girlfriend of mine and also like snapchat as the choice of of interaction something where it expires and you don't have a trail like why are
Starting point is 00:52:21 they choosing that form of communication over anything else i really think if i can pay attention to you there's smoke there's fire yes so ultimately ultimately to this girl like you you're not overreacting you can call both of them out on it and have that chat and if they're still join it and get out of it. Yeah. This sucks all around like an eight year relationship. Like it's, that's not, this isn't one year relationship. This is eight years of these people's lives. Like this is really tricky. Like, I mean, we can sit here and like get all worked up and make jokes, but like, I feel for this girl. A hundred percent. I don't, this sucks. Like what she's going to, if it goes south or if there really is something going on, she loses her best friend and
Starting point is 00:52:59 her partner of eight years. Like this is all bad. Our second question is my youngest sister and her friend are really into bdsm like being slapped and punched during sex amongst other things is this normal and common i just find it so savage and what does it say about the guy's character if he's happy to do that to you and what does it say about the girls like her sister and the sister's partner i think it's a sister and then then her sister's girlfriend are both like they're just out here like let's get punched it's almost like they're talking yeah yeah like they're talking about it with each other being like oh i mean like maybe i'll try that i guess that's what it is like a friendship oh maybe they're like like encouraging each other they're
Starting point is 00:53:33 in like a bdsm sisterhood yeah it's fraternity of bdsm yeah i think there's no diagnosis for why people like certain things if it turns you on you should do it i think that like you should do whatever you want in the bedroom as long as you feel safe and protected and if it's within like the confines of a relationship or maybe you're kinky you want to do a strict i don't know like normal is like such a weird thing to like quote unquote normal like if you can dream it people are into it if you can imagine it it's on the internet there's a club for it people are doing it so i don't know like yes some people like to be hit in the face other people like toe shit like i i don't know i just think that there's like a brand for everybody and as long as her
Starting point is 00:54:11 sister is safe then who cares nothing wrong with your sister it's not what i want to do but if whatever makes you come well she can talk to her sister i mean it's her sister she should be able to talk to her sister like i mean if it's i think you should be able to talk to your close friends and your family about anything like if i don't understand like why not just go to coffee and be like, Hey, just, this is kind of foreign to me. No judgment, but what's going on here. Just make sure you're, you're safe. You're not doing this for any sort of wrong reasons. You're not being pressured by your friend or by other guys. And this is something that makes you happy and that you're being like safe and things like that. I think that's like an open line of communication
Starting point is 00:54:44 of like trying to understand it better. Because I think also that's people can be a little judgmental about sex and it's not their experience and what they're into. So maybe she'll gain some information by just even finding out why her sister is into it i think ultimately anyone can do anything this isn't for me but if if this is consensual and she feels safe and she's enjoying it then i think people can do what they want yeah if they're both adults that have said yep let's go and do this and if you have a you know have a safe word yeah my only contribution to this which would be my one thing to think about is depending on age i think that sometimes like porn can really impact someone's thought process behind sex and what sex is supposed to be like so unless
Starting point is 00:55:27 maybe try and get to the bottom of it with your friend the bottom of it may have been not the right word to use try and figure it out with your sister uh that is she doing this because she thinks that that's what's expected of her does she think that this is what guys want in sex and in a relationship and if this how they're going to like her and she's like being good at sex maybe get to the bottom of that if it's not that and it is just purely because she loves it then I mean who are we to kink shame let her go to town for sure yeah tie her up slap her silly anybody should family should understand that you only talk to them about this stuff out of like love and caring I think porn has gotten crazier and the stakes are higher and the shit that you
Starting point is 00:56:04 see people do on a screen are just wilder and yeah I think it serves to reason that a lot of girls today would be like well that's what guys want me to do because that's what I see on screen and I feel really lucky for how I grew up like most guys were discovering porn at the end of high school and things like that but it didn't get as like violent i think it was crazy as some stuff is today it wasn't as accessible we are so stoked to have had you in i have fangirled hard for a long time i actually put clothes on i don't often wear pants put pants on i put makeup on i almost felt like i was getting ready for a date pretty for you guys look great i think you guys look great too stop it and i woke up no you hang out yeah flawless um but we're we're really
Starting point is 00:56:41 thankful to have you here but just to wrap this up we always finish with this segment called suck and sweet it's a little recap of the week it's the the best and the worst of your week can be trivial and ridiculous it can be deep and sad and hardcore or it can be like whatever the highlights and the lowlights baby you guys are kicking it off yeah you can kick it off i hope we don't have the same highlight um my suck was that i was curling my hair a couple days ago and i got a text message it i glanced down and i laid the whole curling iron on my tit um it is it's pretty bad oh my god it's been healing for like quite a few days my god it's really bad oh my god reina has like a full-on third degree burn on her tit she just showed us her tip guys as well
Starting point is 00:57:23 like the whole tip as a positive it sort of looks like you've contoured a bit so like to give shape you know how you do that oh my goodness yeah that um that was pretty bad for me that's a low light yeah that's a low light and what was your highlight i mean obviously just being in sydney and i'm not just saying that this is really just such a phenomenal place but um we we got a like a private boat tour ashley and i and a friend of ours that we went out with them and we got to see all of sydney and sydney harbor and the opera house and we ate prawns on the boat and the driver was so great it's just it's really special to be in a special place with people that you love and experience something new so that was really special for me yeah she did take mine and
Starting point is 00:58:01 I booked the boat so great um being here this has been my like dream trip um also probably like flying delta one to get here so uh I'd never flown first class international before so it was an experience um because I just like splurged because it's always my dream to come to Australia so just being here the flight basically yeah the boat ride just like walking along the like beach walk a long Bondi and just everything's been so perfect. I noticed you've got a Bondi shirt on. I know. I'm literally wearing the merch. I'm just like, I'm so into it. My suck is that I have just been bleeding out of my vagina the entire trip. So what I did was I tried, because I am sleeping with somebody, I was supposed to get my period before I left,
Starting point is 00:58:51 but I skipped it. I just took my birth control pills all the way through and it was great. I was not bleeding. We had sex. Again, like, you know, brekkie and choking on Valentine's Day was great for me. But it's caught up with me because I'm just old and fucked up. You know, like, I can't control my body anymore. This is really a fun time. Maybe don't go in the ocean too deep.
Starting point is 00:59:11 Hey. I mean, what, to get eaten by a shark? Yeah. So it's just been frustrating. And again, you guys don't have tampon applicators. So I'm just, like, having to finger myself every day. Yeah, so that's been the worst part. That could also be a highlight, though.
Starting point is 00:59:23 So, I mean, let's look for the silver lining in things, guys. Britt, what was your low light this week? My suck is pretty quick and easy. It literally happened to me on the way to the studio today. What happened to you? What sort of trauma have you experienced, you poor thing? In my 10-minute drive, I was coming down the road towards the studio and I was sort of stopped in the line-up at the traffic lights
Starting point is 00:59:46 and this little zippy Italian man on a scooter, but he, you know, when they're so impatient and they can't wait he tried to like zip in between all the cars and completely just clipped the front of my car no turned around and waved and drove off the rangy the rangy i had to pick my jaw up off the bottom of the car i was like oh my god i can't believe you just did that and then drove off sort of waving and i couldn't do it i was like tuning at him wait did he cause damage well yeah he clipped the like a bit of pain did you get his license no are we gonna shame him on the podcast he was too quick luigi if you're listening oh eyes on you buddy i've got eyes on you well you don't because you didn't get his license or anything
Starting point is 01:00:27 so actually you're the one who really sucked in this situation exactly hence why that's my suck okay that's a really really sucky suck get to your suite anyway so my suite moving along my suite is your guy's show last night i frothed it what what was that like i frothed it she just said froth frothing is is it offends us as well it's disgusting yeah she was frothing at the slit she doesn't mean that yeah awful frothing at the slit have you never heard that before that is the most graphic thing i've ever heard i have never heard that what was that oh did i just she's like i have a husband and dog and a kid i don't leave the house very often but when i do oh my god that's not a thing i'm never gonna forget that when you say frothing like i frothed it just
Starting point is 01:01:13 means you loved it like okay i'm gonna use this in like dirty time i think i'm gonna say it today yeah can you please please what time is it you guys can have that for free trade frothing at the slit stop saying it it's a lot it's more not frothing no just frothing because you can say that about food like i'd be like i'll go to toddy's you froth it at the mouth yeah at the mouth is different froth at the mouth but at the slit yeah but frothing at the mouth is more like you have rabies it's not like you're enjoying something guys you're overthinking it You just froth it. It doesn't mean anything.
Starting point is 01:01:44 Okay, gotcha. We're in sub-division. Can we make this about me now, guys? This is my highlight and low light now. So my low light. Wait, I had one. What was my low light? Molly Shatterstone.
Starting point is 01:01:55 Oh, my God. So my low light. This is going to make you guys never want to have kids ever. I love my daughter. She's the best. I mean, I don't want them anyway, but yeah. Good, perfect. It's good to drive it home.
Starting point is 01:02:03 It's 100%. This is some more contraception just to add to that pill. So I woke up yesterday. My daughter, she's eight months. She's the dream. but she was like laying in her cot just being cute and making noises and i was like oh it's so nice that she didn't wake up screaming crying today that's a really nice way to wake up so i walked into her bedroom and she wears a sleep suit to bed which is like got little feet on it and like
Starting point is 01:02:23 a onesie yeah it's exactly the same and um she was in her sleep suit and she was like patting her legs and squishing something down her thighs and she had done the world's biggest shit and then was ruminating in it and it was from her neck to her toes and what do you do you just throw the baby out like that is crazy oh yeah we put her out for council cleanup i don't know where she is now but i hope she's gone to a nice home and family you just have to like hose them down it was hideous and she thought it was so fun she was just rubbing it into her legs do they not have a sense of smell at that age like how do you know they will eat it if you let them eat it like they really don't know what's going on that was too far sorry laura you've been going too far she's
Starting point is 01:03:02 she's extra no i love it i never get out guys what you did is love that's crazy store that up for when she's like a little bitch at 13 years old oh i can't wait crazy you throw that back at her face the good thing is like i save everything for social media as well so i've already got a great footprint for her when she's 13 just to shame her great fine and what was just sweet i was at your freaking show and it was so good so that was also my highlight okay that was my highlight watching you try and masturbate on stage with the microphone was definitely my highlight i wasn't trying i was doing it no but but also um so guys last night at the show there was um um one of the audience members had brought her dad with her and watching rainer and ashley
Starting point is 01:03:43 just troll her poor 50 year old dad for the entire night it was really really enjoyable that wasn't they were they came in off the street so that wasn't anybody's dad so it was a couple that just wanted to come to a comedy show so they didn't know what it was they didn't know what they were there for they just they were they were just like let's go to a comedy show tonight and they like showed up basically what i'm envisioning is that they just showed up at the comedy store and then they just came to this show and they asked the girl sitting next to them what is this like what are we here for and the girl had to try to explain it but no they weren't i don't even know what like they were not there with their daughter they were there sight unseen experience out of a
