Hi, welcome to a mini episode where these are our minisodes. We have a special guest on our minisode. Her name is Yamanika Saunders. You may have heard her.
Starting point is 00:02:16 Hello? Oh, what? I'm trying to look thin next to you. Okay, well. Thank you. They brought me water. Wow, it's like a liter of water. Isn't that crazy?
Starting point is 00:02:23 Thank you, my love. I appreciate it. Yeah, I need it. I'm thirsty. What's in that thing? I'm dry. Vaginally? You need a lubricant?
Starting point is 00:02:31 Every time I'm around you, my pussy is the driest it's ever been on earth. You be drying bitches' pussies up. Because you need all the moisture you can get down in your motherfucking bat cave. Bitch, do not come for me. I'm high. Catherine, are you listening to this? I am, I am. Are you listening to her talk about her dry pussy?
Starting point is 00:02:47 Okay, I want to make sure we're recording because I would like that as part of the episode. Okay, thank you. Welcome, pussies everywhere. I want to say something while Yamanika lathers herself up. We're not going to say where we went. Please don't, Chelsea, don't do it. No, I'm not going to.
Starting point is 00:03:01 Are you going to do this? I am not going to say where we went. No, but you're going to say something, Chelsea. I'm going to say, listen, we go out all the time. It could be anywhere. Yamanika took me to one of the worst meals I've ever had in New York City
Starting point is 00:03:15 the worst meals it's so hard to have a bad meal in New York City there are so many beautiful restaurants in this city one of the reasons I love to come here one of the reasons I spend so much time with you in New York is because we go to different places and we eat
Starting point is 00:03:29 and it's always a good situation last night was the worst I actually woke up this morning angry I woke up this morning and I thought when was the last time I had such a bad meal because you're racist. There's no, you have to be. Racist?
Starting point is 00:03:43 How dare you say something about my, in this climate? How could you make this about race? I have to. It wasn't a black restaurant. Are you talking about you? I'm racist against you? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:53 Okay, because I went to your other restaurant the other time we went up to Harlem and we had a great meal. So I don't know what you're talking about, racist. Oh, right, I did have a good meal. Oh, okay, okay, okay. So you did one good one, and now you fucked up.
Starting point is 00:04:02 Okay, okay. Have you ever- No, it wasn't your vibe. It was aggressively bad. No, no, no, no, no. It was aggressively bad. There was a thing. You know what it is, Chelsea?
Starting point is 00:04:12 The thing about it is you got to remember that your taste buds, they're in a different tax bracket as well, right? I'm still the type of bitch that'll go to TGI Fridays and say, yeah, the five-course Why are you talking like Bill Cosby right now? What is this voice that you're using? Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Or Red Fox.
Starting point is 00:04:29 Bill Cosby. Somebody. You're talking like some old black man that I know. I've been raised by old black men. Okay, but why are you talking like an old black man? you're not old and you're not black anyway there wasn't just me it was there was a four of us nobody else said that nobody else oh no no i said i said that you said for everybody and everybody had to imprint with your attitude no that's they didn't have it no they i got a text from renee
Starting point is 00:05:00 this morning going i can you fucking believe that meal last night no no no i got a text from renee saying this was the best place you've ever been to before. Fucking, that's a lie. Show me the text. I'll tell you right now. Okay, show it. I'll show it.
Starting point is 00:05:09 Show it. But what were you getting ready to say? Well, see, this is bullshit. What is the thing you were doing? It's totally fine. I'm telling you. Have you ever eaten there before? Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:05:18 I have eaten there. I told you also, when people decide to go upstairs and outside, outside in New York City takes down the quality of the food. Okay, there's that voice again. Okay, Catherine,
Starting point is 00:05:32 do we have an update for some of our, What's going on today for our mini-sode? Our mini-sode. I like to say mini-sode. I love how you did that voice and you bail out on me. Yeah, because you're full of shit. I can see the wheels turning.
Starting point is 00:05:44 Just one full of shit after another. It's just blah, blah, blah, blah. I'm over it. And now she's wearing a shoulder brace today. What happened to your shoulder? She can't talk because she's laughing so hard. I told you yesterday. Remember I kept saying it?
Starting point is 00:05:59 Yeah, I know. But what happened to it? My rotator cuff is like on some shit Oh Yeah Did you hurt it working out?
Starting point is 00:06:06 You said you benched too heavy Yeah But it was not on my trainer It was on me because I was doing stuff I wasn't supposed to do on my own time outside of her
Starting point is 00:06:13 I was trying to get back because I was at 275 with it and I'm trying to get back to like dead lifting that Okay well be careful because if you get a tear I know I got to When you were doing
Starting point is 00:06:22 that shoulder lifting did you also have lipstick all over your teeth? You just get to an age where you don't give a fuck about where the makeup lands Why even bother, though? Yeah, I just put—
Starting point is 00:06:32 If it's going to be on your teeth, what— No, no, no. I opened my bag up. I saw my lipstick was open. I put my face in the bag. I came out with some lipstick. I don't care where else they got it. It looks like you actually put your face in the makeup bag.
Starting point is 00:06:42 I did. Is that what you're saying you did? Yes, I did. Like the Jetsons. Behind every night spent making the kids' lunches, there's a lot of suspense. Will they finally eat the veggies? Will the pesto survive the first bite? Will the lunchbox come home empty, half full, or come home at all?
Starting point is 00:07:01 And will you finish episode 8 before you're done slicing the cucumbers? Get Bell Pure Fiber Internet with Crave, Netflix, and Disney Plus from $94 a month. Price guaranteed for two years on internet with a two-year term and auto pay credit. Visit bell.ca for details and to check availability. Bell. Connection is everything. When I was 14 years old, I was kidnapped and held captive for nine months. I survived, and I've spent my life exploring how other people survive what should have destroyed them. I'm Elizabeth Smart, and these are the Survivor Files.
Starting point is 00:07:34 I just remember this low, taunting voice next to my ear saying, Shut up. Don't say anything. Every week, I'm with survivors who live through the unthinkable. I knew if he woke up, without a doubt, he was going to hurt me. I started feeling that there was someone at the end of my bed, and I just started screaming. They are abducted, stalked, controlled, and nearly silenced. But these aren't stories about what's taken from them. They're stories about what it takes to make it out alive.
Starting point is 00:08:10 Listen to The Survivor Files with Elizabeth Smart on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. If your bookshelf and your For You page are equally important to your personality, welcome home. This is Prose Society, the weekly podcast that's part book club, part group chat for thought daughters, pop culture obsessives, and anyone who thinks Pride and Prejudice and Love Island deserve the same level of discourse. I'm Eli Rallo, and every week we're connecting the dots between books, the internet, and the conversations everyone can't stop having. I'm going to have to look up this story. I'm obsessed. I'm obsessed. From best-selling authors and your favorite book talk creators to the latest pop culture moments, nothing is off the table. It's like if you can hide some real messages inside compelling characters, then that is a Trojan horse.
Starting point is 00:09:01 Whether you're looking for literary deep dives, smart pop culture conversations, or a community of readers who love to think a little too much, you're in the right place. Listen to Pro Society on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. See you between the pages. On the new podcast, Solita, we share the messy reality of traveling alone as a woman. I can wait four hours for the next bus or this random dude is offering me a ride on his motorcycle. I chose option B. I'm Julie Pinheiro and I travel by myself because it's a rare space where I can say yes without asking anyone else first. I'm on a mission to reclaim the word solita, trading the pity for possibility.
Starting point is 00:09:46 Every time I tried to be alone, I kept meeting people and they were like, you smiled at us. Not a lot of people smile around here. It's when you're alone that you're most receptive to the world as it is and not the lies you're sold about it. It can be a time where you push your limits, change your mind, or wake up to a new version of yourself. So whether you're a solo travel veteran or you're too nervous to book your first trip, I hope you listen to Solita on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Okay, Catherine, we can continue now. What's happening? Okay. Jill says, help, I'm being trolled on the internet by my ex. Dear Chelsea, I'm a 43-year-old psychotherapist
Starting point is 00:10:32 in New York City, never married, no kids, but myriad rich life experiences. However, my dating life has not been a source of light. Every relationship, like clockwork, after six to nine months goes awry. I wonder why I'm finding the same guy in a different t-shirt, men with zero accountability, and putting me down to serve their own ego. After going no contact immediately following my most recent breakup, my ex has taken this to a new low by trolling me on the internet. He launched a smear campaign at what seems like an attempt to elicit a reaction from me. So here's the thing. In addition to being a psychotherapist, I've engaged in underground own work in the psychedelic space. While I'm interested in the power of psychedelics for
Starting point is 00:11:09 psychological and healing insights, I also fully support if someone takes them recreationally. Who cares, right? As long as someone isn't hurting themselves or others, I see no reason to have any judgment when it comes to how someone manages their life or makes money. It's also one of the ways I make money. For what it's worth, I have student loans for my master's degree and the mental health field doesn't pay much while in clinical training. So as this ex fancies himself a comedian, he has mined me for material and used me as fodder on a public platform, debasing me as a drug dealer and named other private and personal details, joking that my practice is a front for psychedelic sales. How do I move forward from feeling violated and exposed? Jill.
Starting point is 00:11:49 Hi, Jill. Hello, Jill. Hi. Hi. This is our special guest, Yamanika. She's here today. Nice to see you, my love. I'm excited about this. This sounds very, really easy comedian. He had a flash in the pan about eight years ago, but not actively writing and working and going up. But is he actually hurting your practice in any real tangible way? That's the thing. I think that his reach isn't that large.
Starting point is 00:12:17 I think it's probably more ego-driven and the debasing and the minimizing and the way of no accountability that my work somehow is triggering him or just the zero accountability and pointing fingers is now more of the piece that I have more of a problem with. This is 100% your problem. You understand this, right? 100% is your problem. And you're still invested in it.
Starting point is 00:12:48 That's why you've not healed from it. If you were over this guy, he could fucking drop right in front of you off the 90th floor into a splat. and you'd walk over him to get a Dunkin' Donut. I'm telling you, you've got to get over the guy and move the fuck on. It doesn't matter what he's saying. And he's trying to agitate you
Starting point is 00:13:06 because it's all he's fucking got. He's a loser. I agree. He's completely, I honestly think you have to pay absolutely no attention, give him absolutely no reaction and just ignore him until he runs out of steam and find somebody else to occupy his time and thoughts.
Starting point is 00:13:20 Like it's just so lame and so meaningless. And if it's not having a big impact on you, like it's the let them theory let him let him go and spit himself out you know without you engaging there's only so much gas he has and here's the things we need to focus on with you right i'm a beautiful woman i'm a woman a career woman who's done very well for herself i can take care of myself you know any man would be blessed to have me specifically for these things that i It cannot be focusing back on him and not focusing on you. You're sitting here.
Starting point is 00:13:56 You look very beautiful. You got yourself together. Maybe a few guys somewhere think you're crazy. We've all got a few guys that, you know. You have more than most people. Well, you too. Okay, we're together. We can't go to the East Coast a lot, right?
Starting point is 00:14:08 We barely here, all right? But focus on the positives of you and less on what he got going on because you're a beautiful woman. Focus on that and what you've done in life. yes absolutely i agree with her and don't worry about your hallucinogens like like affinity for that don't be apologized for that you're allowed to do whatever the fuck you want to do hallucinogen i think that's that my own fears is being called a drug dealer when it's like it is this gray market and but you're not a drug dealer don't worry about that you know how much money drug dealers make you focused on the wrong thing yeah you gotta come to my academy about not giving a fuck yeah the whole
Starting point is 00:14:48 Breaking Bad was about that, wasn't it? The guy was a drug dealer. He was a teacher. Then he was hustling drugs. Yeah, but that didn't end well for him, y'all. I don't watch it. Because somebody told me to watch it in reverse and see how he wins. Okay, well, watch it in reverse.
Starting point is 00:15:01 I don't know. I never watched it. Okay, well, then don't bring it up. You can't bring that up if you've never even seen it. Well, I heard stories about it. Okay, anyway. Was it not about that? Yeah, it wasn't.
Starting point is 00:15:08 It's not a success story in the end. Anyway, don't worry about it. He doesn't die in the end, does he? Don't worry about any of this. That guy's a loser. just ignore him yeah well no but you shut the fuck up for two seconds
Starting point is 00:15:22 I'm sorry but you're fine okay I was just wanting you to call him a loser on a public he is a loser okay so you're fine move on with your life forget about him and that will end soon okay block him on everything because the only way you're seeing any
Starting point is 00:15:38 of this stuff is because you're following still so like block his email so you're not getting any of that communication block him on social he's not your problem anymore It doesn't matter what he says. Right, exactly. Yeah. Thank you, guys.
Starting point is 00:15:50 Okay, take care. Goodbye. I love how you reference a show that you've never even watched. I mean, that's so... Okay, okay. Okay, what? I don't know. Did you...
Starting point is 00:16:03 I don't know. You had a good point. Here's the reality. This young lady, beautiful young woman, and you know I hate to give white women too much credit, but she's a beautiful white woman. the way she not focused on when I see this woman and I'm like, wow, she seems like such a lovely woman. A man would be dumb not to like, whatever, go focus on the guy that can see the beauty of
Starting point is 00:16:29 who you are and what you got going on. And I'm telling you, I just got to the point where I learned this myself. You know, as you get older, you go, why was I wasting so much time trying to Act like I needed to find somebody that was going to accept me instead of just letting that person find me. I find them. And enjoy your life. So much time wasted being young, worrying about who we're going to be in a relationship with. And then you get older, you realize you don't even want a motherfucker in your crib. There's also just like a chemical thing.
Starting point is 00:16:57 When you're not doing something, when you're not mingling with someone, they can only mingle about you or long after. like they it runs out of steam if there's not two energies colliding if it's just one guy circling like eventually he's gonna drown you know eventually there's no one else mingling with him so like when people are in your life and are causing you distress like you just like exit far right and don't look at them don't talk to them don't don't engage ever and and and yeah have a little faith in yourself yeah yeah all right thank god you were here today yamanika thank god you came got lubricated you with lipstick on your teeth i'll see you in a net and we're we're going to do another mini so so i'll see you next time thank you and you can find yamanika on instagram
