Starting point is 00:00:00 At least it's cool in here. It's cool and it was last week. Oh, that's why we didn't do a pod, isn't it? Hmm. Next week's the same, so all the best. The good news is Tony's air con man's coming Friday afternoon. Oh, that's such good. He's having a look.
Starting point is 00:00:33 Oh, he's having a look at what? What's he need to look at? I think he needs to look at walls, roofs, what he's doing. But he's on his way. Thank God. So I'm going to beg him. Thank gosh. Thank gosh.
Starting point is 00:00:45 Oh, thank golly gosh. That doesn't even make sense. Welcome to Nat's niece. El's Bell's is, James ain't well. James is a bit poorly, bless him. So it's me a roo-roo tonight. Yeah. We've got shit loads to go through.
Starting point is 00:01:03 How are you? I'm... Is that how you feel? I feel. I feel. So do I. Well, I know. I could cry.
Starting point is 00:01:12 I'm not going, no, no, not just about the arm. I've just, it's knocked me off centre what's happened. I don't feel good. I'm not surprised. I mean, I lost my big toe now and that really polished you off. That really got me down. I didn't realize how much that affected me. And then I heard your news and I thought it's not that fat.
Starting point is 00:01:33 You didn't mention it, to be fair. That would have been crack. I put it in Patreon, didn't I? Oh, did you? I did. I did put a photo. I just said I'm absolutely devo. However.
Starting point is 00:01:44 How did that? happened? I would love to know. So I was out on the Saturday night. Yeah. Oh, this is going to sound really gross. No. But it was hurt. No more gross than the old pissata that everyone liked. Still doing it. I don't know. I haven't noticed something on my toe, like a bit of crust. Hope everyone's enjoying their breakfast. Sorry. But you know what I mean? So anyway, I sort of ignored it. You know, and it smells a little bit. Oh, no, no.
Starting point is 00:02:17 I'm sorry. Sorry. This is more better than the snot-sucking. Sorry, guys. Didn't think much of it. Fungal infection. No, well, it's not. I think what's happened.
Starting point is 00:02:26 And then a couple of days later, it was like lifting. Okay. And I do have gel on it. Lifting. Lifting. And it did smell a little bit. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:36 So I was like, fuck. And I could feel the whole thing was lifting up. So I don't know if I've knocked it or something's happened. So I tried, I peeled the gel off. Yeah. And it didn't. So I just cut it really far down with slippers. And I was like, fuck, this is really bad.
Starting point is 00:02:51 But I've saved it. I've been putting cream on it. It's not an infection. And I managed to have some gel put on it. So it looks half decent. So you've not lost your toe now. No, so it was actually, I took a photo. And I chatchee G.
Starting point is 00:03:06 Pop that on the grid? No, I'm not. But I chat G. P-T-Dit. Yeah, well done. and the advice was that it's still on by the cuticle so we think we're good so I'm hoping it will just grow out
Starting point is 00:03:19 I'm sure it will sorry that is so much information no I think we all go through these things I've only lost tone now is when I've run a marathon which is weird I was thinking that someone the other day on Instagram it's so weird you've mentioned that now
Starting point is 00:03:32 it's very odd because I had a real come up with a man with a bowl of water and he was putting mouthwash in there vinegar in there and he was like, this helps your toenails. How weird is that? And you didn't even know? No.
Starting point is 00:03:47 It's weird and does it help? Unnaggy. I was very upset because I thought it's not really the time of year for that to be happening. No, no. You don't need that. Not with your sandals on. Exactly. The feet are bad enough as it is without that happening.
Starting point is 00:04:03 But I think we've salvaged it. I'll show you after. Okay. Good. So, yeah, that was that. Then obviously your news. was not ideal. Not ideal at all.
Starting point is 00:04:13 I actually didn't... I did not know what to say. No, no. There were no words. No, no. Do you know what I mean? Yeah. Like nothing to make it better,
Starting point is 00:04:23 nothing to help the situation. It's fucking mad. Yeah. Although it does make me laugh that the pod that me and Mark did on Monday, all the national newspapers have picked it up. I've seen it, I saw it today.
Starting point is 00:04:34 The horror story. Independent, run it. It must be fucking no news on this week. But what made me laugh for? I was like one of the headlines or something like smash to pieces. And I was like, that's so you, that is such a you thing to say. No, I did say it smashed to pieces again. Yeah, it made me laugh.
Starting point is 00:04:50 But hey-ho, listen, she's doing well. The only thing I'd say about it now, and I don't, you know, I prefer not to really talk about my children's emotions, but I will. And I think people will understand, and it's important. Today I was talking about going back to school. Because obviously there's a few weeks left, and she genuinely was, she had fear in her eyes. She said, Mommy, I just don't want to go back.
Starting point is 00:05:13 And that's hard because she's scared. And I always keep saying you need to be more careful. You need to be a bit scared. And I think this has polished her off. Oh, bless her. Well, she's not going to be doing PE and stuff, is she? No, of course not. Maybe a bit more time, but let her maybe just see the end of the year out.
Starting point is 00:05:29 I'm just going to see, actually. And I know people might say that's wrong, that's right, but she does a lot. I've got loads of workbooks at home. If she wants to just get to a point where she's in. the summer, we can get it stronger, we can get it better, and she doesn't want to, not people knocking it, people... No, I get it. I guess my only thing to you is, then, she's got another six weeks off school.
Starting point is 00:05:50 I know. So how is she going to feel going back? I agree with you. I agree with you. I agree with you. And also, you miss your friends. It's very good to be at school. Maybe just give it the rest of this week.
Starting point is 00:05:58 And then get back next week. That's what I'm thinking. That is what I'm thinking. See how she is. Yeah, it's still quite fresh. Bless her. But she's right. She's right. Nightmare.
Starting point is 00:06:07 But yeah. What else? I've been... I've had a couple of lovely weekends, celebrating the old birthday. Chaburty, chibouti. So that's been really lovely, really nice. Had some really, really lovely evenings and days out with friends. You went to Margate, is that right?
Starting point is 00:06:25 Went to Margate at the weekend. I've never been to Margate. You've been a few times. Yeah, because my friend lives there. Yeah. Enjoyed it? Really lovely place. It's cool.
Starting point is 00:06:33 It's cool place. They call it like hackney on scene now, don't they? Tracey M and lives there, doesn't she? Madonna was there, wasn't she? Was she? Yeah, seeing Tracy. Wow. It was all over socials a little while ago.
Starting point is 00:06:44 Yeah, no, it's a cool place. But it's seaside, isn't it? But we went to see the streets on the Friday. Really, really good. It was at Dreamland. I had a message from somebody about that. Oh, right. And I don't know who it was.
Starting point is 00:06:59 I'm not sure if I can find it now. Say what? Let me just have a quick look, Em. Mel and I, it was so hot. I don't know how you did. I was worried. I phoned you. I said, drink lots of water.
Starting point is 00:07:09 It was so hot. I saw you on the Walters. Loved it. I need to put these up. I actually must put them up. You must. So me and Mel get into Dreamland. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:18 And instead of going to the bar, we went to the Walterser and some other ride and had the time of our lives. We were the only people on there. Brilliant. Five pound each. What per ride? Isn't it a joke now? I'm mad at it. So that was fun.
Starting point is 00:07:33 We were absolutely pissing ourselves. Crazy. On the Walter to garage music. That was good. Excellent. Yeah. Then we got drunk and watched the streets. and they were excellent.
Starting point is 00:07:41 It was just like an older crowd, so it was quite nice. Yes. I see it's our generation and older, to be fair. So, yeah, it was just a good crowd of people. But, yeah, everyone was there for a real good time, and he was excellent. Excellent. And then the day after, I got quite drunk on Seaside Martini's sensational. What are we popping in there?
Starting point is 00:08:03 I don't know, but really nice. That's a shame. But probably had four too many, five too many. and didn't make the England game. Oh, did you not? No. It was late. Ten. We did National Picky Bits Day.
Starting point is 00:08:20 Yes. Your mum popped round. Yeah, I heard. Yep, I heard. So that was really nice. Had a few wines. And then Evie phoned me. So me and Toby's are going to come up.
Starting point is 00:08:28 I was a bit like, ooh. So everyone went and actually I had loads of water because I thought I'm not going to make it, clean the kitchen, washed all the floors. And then Evie and Toby arrived about seven. we had a little barbecue and I made it I did it which is you know what I'm like
Starting point is 00:08:44 yeah no I was um Sparkle so it was good Can't find the message It was from a lady who said Was your niece at the streets last night Oh stop it Yeah and I said yes she was
Starting point is 00:08:57 Who are you let us know Oh yeah I'll try and find it It's just in the messages Talking of the World Cup Mm hmm Fucking shocker I was so excited Well, no, you don't even know.
Starting point is 00:09:10 Japan went one-nil up against Brazil. Yes. So that meant... One all. Right. We were literally there in extra time, and in injury time Brazil scored. What a shame.
Starting point is 00:09:22 And I put a little cheeky bet on. Aw. For them to win. That was never going to happen, but the odds were good. So, yeah, we're out, and Germany out on penalties. Shocker.
Starting point is 00:09:32 Well, Germany, because I haven't seen a lot of it. Perfect. Not going to lie. I'm just watching England games. was Germany a knockout stage? Yes, it was. So it went to extra time. Fine.
Starting point is 00:09:43 It was one all again. It gets exciting now though, doesn't it, with a knockout? So the problem with the Germany game was I was so tired, watched it in bed, fell asleep. And then I woke up in a panic and it was penalties, but I was like in and out of sleep. So I sort of didn't know what was going on. It was awful. So that's the problem with these late games. It's hard call.
Starting point is 00:10:04 It's very, very late. And then tomorrow. This will be yesterday. Yeah. England's on at 5. 5.m? No, PM. What's happening tomorrow? I'm working.
Starting point is 00:10:15 What is tomorrow? Wednesday. Oh, I'm here. I'm around. Okay, good for you. Yippie. A lot of people will be working. I'm sure they'll be let off a bit early, hopefully.
Starting point is 00:10:24 Yeah. It's annoying. Can't it should be like eight. Why have they done that eight again? I've not seen an early game yet, and they're doing that? No idea. No idea. There's lots of questions around this World Cup,
Starting point is 00:10:34 but we won't go into it again. Yeah, they're all right. you. No, genuinely no. The hydration break free, everyone. I was just saying I don't think they should stop. And I know it's redfuts. But again, for me, it bamboos was my brain. I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:10:50 20 minutes in. It just sort of cuts the game. And I think it happened last night. I think it was, I don't know, but sometimes it just off of it really breaks the game up. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Yeah, it's a bit. Three breaks.
Starting point is 00:11:03 You're getting three breaks. The stadiums are amazing though, aren't they? Incredible. Yeah. We've got bundles and bundles of correspondence to go through. Lovely, lovely. Let's have a listen to what people thought of our last pod. It sounds like ages ago.
Starting point is 00:11:17 It does feel like ages ago. Weird. It's not, though. A couple of weeks. So weird. Sunglasses theory. Oh, yes. I don't, Elsie's,
Starting point is 00:11:28 Elsie's theory of men not wearing them. It's not come across from our listeners. She's wrong. Well, sunglasses is theory. Women wear them more. because we were taught that squinting gives us wrinkles. That's what Emma said, producer M. Listening to the Natsnees' podcast about sunglasses and men,
Starting point is 00:11:47 my husband absolutely loves sunglasses. He's probably got about 10 pairs ranging from cheap and cheerful to a mega expensive, so much so that if we ever see a sunglasses hut or we're in the airport, or I make an effort to steer him away from the sunglasses because no doubt he'll end up buying another pair. I can't understand why you need so many pairs when you can only wear one pair at a time, but there you go. It's Rebecca from Nottingham.
Starting point is 00:12:19 Love listening to you, girls. You give me a giggle. I'm with him. I'm obsessed with them. You love sunglasses, don't you? I'm obsessed with them. It's terrible. I buy, yeah, I'm, yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:31 And I will have an outfit and I will try. three, four pairs on to see which one's go. Yeah, it's mad. Yeah. Yeah. Love them. Do you think there is a point where you think, oh, I don't need another pair of sunglasses?
Starting point is 00:12:46 No. And you know what? No. Do you know what? I've got a pair of, like, designer ones that mum got me for my 30th. Yes. I've still got them.
Starting point is 00:12:58 I haven't worn them in a while, but I've just remembered that I've got them. And they are so cute. Cute and unusual, they are timeless. Ten years later. That's really good. I mean, that's decent. And you've not smashed them to pieces?
Starting point is 00:13:12 No. I'm quite good with things like that. No, that's really good. Yeah, I've got a lovely little collection. I do. I love them. That's good. I have four pairs downstairs in a plastic box.
Starting point is 00:13:21 They're all squashed together. Oh, that makes me feel sick, aren't they? And when I get up, I think, oh, I've got a bit of brown on. Well, pick up the brown ones. You always wear your linen ones. I love my denim ones. I'm obsessed with them. I know.
Starting point is 00:13:34 They're so, only other and other stories. But they're comfortable, they're light. I like a light pair of glasses, I have to say. And it's funny, like, I will have, I will only wear certain ones on the school run. Why is that? I don't know. Just because you feel like, I don't know. The big ones, yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:56 Cover my face up. Oh, that's funny, isn't it? It is, yeah. I do really like them, but when I've had designer ones, I just, I just don't think there's any difference to me buying a lovely pair of. wearing Marxes or a lovely pairing next. You know, absolutely. And that's it. It's style as well, isn't it?
Starting point is 00:14:15 Yeah. But can I have some advice for everyone? Go on. If you are treating yourself to some designer sunglasses, hopefully no one will hear me from the designer shops, do not buy them direct. You will spend double the price. Just Google it.
Starting point is 00:14:34 I can't really. I'll put it on Patreon. I'll put on Patreon the shops on nine that you should shop at. That's where I get all my designer ones from. Okay. Hence why I have so many. I mean, it's still expensive.
Starting point is 00:14:46 Don't get me wrong. But I've been to airports. I've been to the designer shops direct, taking a photo of the label, Googled it and got them for half the price. Wow. Mm-hmm. That's amazing.
Starting point is 00:14:57 Yeah. There we go. That's my tip. Fantastic. You're welcome. Okay, so who wears sunglasses in my family? So, oh, it's Kirsty, by the way. I wear sunglasses, particularly if I'm outside of,
Starting point is 00:15:09 I know the sun's going to be in my eyes. I do like to wear sunglasses. I also like to wear sunglasses on the school run in case I've not done my makeup because I feel like it just helps complete my face a little bit. My kids don't wear sunglasses all the time, but if they ask for them, then I will give them them, but they generally wear big rimmed hats. My mom wears sunglasses.
Starting point is 00:15:25 My dad doesn't wear the sunglasses. My husband, he wears his sunglasses all the time, even in our wedding photos. Like, why did I allow that? I don't know. I think he just thought he looked cool. What else did we do? My uncle wears his sunglasses a lot, actually, and a hat all the time.
Starting point is 00:15:43 But he's pretty freckly, so maybe that's why, because he thinks he's going to burn everywhere. I don't know. But yeah, that's the rundown of who wears sunglasses. I love the old sunglasses family tree. Last year, me and mum did a car boot, didn't we? Yeah. Yeah, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:15:57 She just got boxes and stuff out of the garage that had been there for ages. Yeah. So I found this sunglasses case. I was like, don't you get madden. I think it. I think it was something like that. I opened it up, and they were really cute, little sleek sunglasses. glasses. I've put them on. Mom's like, no, I like, I'm having them. She bloody took them back.
Starting point is 00:16:14 They look really nice. I said, see, this is why that sort of stuff, you've got to look after it. All of that stuff. They could have been known for a pound. That's what I mean, yeah. Someone had a right bargain. She loves them. I said, you crack me out. That's excellent. Hi, nah. I hope you're okay. What a lovely Monday is. It's Enel from Nebworth. Hope you're right. Love in the Patreon. Already watched it at Hartford Show again. Even though I was there. This is a bin story, but not a stolen bin story. So, oh, it's Emma from Neverworth. I don't even know if I said that.
Starting point is 00:16:47 Maybe I did. I haven't had any bin stolen, but I had one of my bins in my last house. Eventually, the lid broke. And there's no way we did that because we're not that vicious with it. So obviously it must have broken when it was being put onto the truck, blah, blah, blah, because when we put it out, it wasn't broken. And when they entered it, it was. So I phone the council up, blah, blah, blah.
Starting point is 00:17:11 and I have to pay £72 for a new bin, even though we never broke it. Now, obviously, I've got no proof of that, but we're not that heavy-handed, so we know we did fucking break it. The bin men broke it when it's going on their truck. So I had to pay for the pleasure of them breaking my fucking bin. I was fuming at the time,
Starting point is 00:17:31 and whatever, I had to buy a new bin. So that was that. So that's my bin story. It's not exactly exciting, but just like to share that with you. And your nieces, love you all. Join the pods as usual. Bye. Cheers, Em.
Starting point is 00:17:45 She's great. She's great, Emma from Networth. We've got a little special episode coming up with Emma. I'm having a little nag with her soon. Oh, yeah, a little nag with us soon. Because you see, when you do holidays, we've booked holidays. We're going away. You're going away.
Starting point is 00:18:00 You're going away. I'm going away. We need to do a few special apps. So I've got in touch with a couple of listeners. And there's going to be a couple of nice episodes there. But yeah, Emma is a very funny. anyone looking forward to it. It says here, I know you have some more bin info, don't you?
Starting point is 00:18:16 I can't. I can't. But before we go on, great pod today with your nieces, although sucking the tomato puree, green face. Anywho, in reply to bins, we just had delivered today a food bin. Well, two food bins. One slightly larger, one to keep outside, not sure where, as in spell W-A-R-E, as I have a bin store that I already have filled with the food.
Starting point is 00:18:41 the general bin, the recycling bin, and the garden bin. That's the brown, the little brown bin. This is a new thing up north, I think. Shocker. I know when my daughter lived down south, they already had them, but what a pain. I have no idea where to put them. The slightly smaller one is supposed to be kept in the house. Yes.
Starting point is 00:18:59 But my bins are in a pull-out drawer, and this ugly grey bin is too large to keep on a worktop, and I don't have a utility room. Yes. Oh, it's grey. I was a green. They're lovely, aren't they? they. Stunning.
Starting point is 00:19:12 So that's a pain anyway. Has anyone got any suggestions for what to do with them? As I think they're going to be quite stinky left out on the work top. So. What are we doing? Right. So I don't have a bin. I didn't have a bin.
Starting point is 00:19:29 I will. Binless. Has been. That was good, isn't it? That was really good. Sorry, I'm cracking up. I'm just sorry, everyone. I've just gone on to Instagram to look for a message
Starting point is 00:19:44 and I've just seen Natalie in a shower cap, a towel and a trumpet. Thank you. What is one doing here? A little bit of Imperial Leather. That is, guys, I urge you to watch it. I will share it. Sorry, that has just completely frown me. No, sorry, just while we're on Bin,
Starting point is 00:20:03 and before I forget, I have to give a shout out to the Instagram, Haley's labels, bless her heart. and I haven't given them to earlier yet. I need to do that. She sent me some numbers. No, she hasn't. What is it? At Haley's numbers?
Starting point is 00:20:19 No, Haley's labels. At Haley's labels. On Instagram. Thank you, Haley. I'm sorry. I haven't even messaged you because my brain. What are they? They're bougie labels.
Starting point is 00:20:30 No, just numbers. Oh shit, sorry. Just numbers. Just very kindly. Sent me some numbers. That is so kind. She said you could have your road name on it. I said, it's fine.
Starting point is 00:20:39 The numbers is perfect. Thank you. That's so kind of. Isn't that lovely? So anyway, yeah, I never had been a bin. No. I used to use my bags for life. Sorry?
Starting point is 00:20:52 Not the... No, sorry. The Tesco bag. Yeah, carry a bag, yes. I'd hang that on my... Door when it was full up. That's what I would do. Then the green bin arrives.
Starting point is 00:21:05 Yeah. I was the same. What the fuck am I going to do with this? I can't be about it. It's lovely. It sits on the windowsill. I empty it daily. Often, like twice a day, depending what's in it.
Starting point is 00:21:20 If I throw something a bit naughty away, that's going straight out, not keeping that in there. And I'll wash it about 100 times a day. So hang on. Put milton in, it puts a flora in. Two seconds. With the green bin. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:33 Are you then emptying that into your brown bin outside, the miniature brown? Yes, exactly. In the green. Yes. In the bags. Yes. Goes in the brown bin outside. Understood.
Starting point is 00:21:43 That's what I do. So I do have the green bin out and it ain't great. But then I'm like, well, I did have a Tesco bag hanging or Azda or a mark. Do you what I mean? So it swings aroundabouts, I'd say. I agree. See, my brown bins outside and that's for all food. Yep.
Starting point is 00:22:01 What do you mean? The Greek, if it has to be in bags. Yeah. Yeah. Sometimes I don't put it in bags. Oh, wow. They take it? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:09 What do you all? Oh, well, this brings me on to my next conversation. So with the green bin for me, it's quite small, but that should be compostable stuff. Yeah, your food, babe. No. Compostable. So that should be anything that isn't meat, eggs. Sorry.
Starting point is 00:22:28 Oh, I might be wrong here. So where am I putting that stuff? What do you mean? So that compostable stuff should remain in that green bin, no? No, no, no, no, no. So that's a food caddy for your size. Yes, because you put your green paper bag, the resists. Whatever they are, recyclable.
Starting point is 00:22:42 Little bags, yeah. In the green bin. You put all your food in there. And then you tie it and put it in the brown. Exactly. So I don't do that. I put everything within the brown bin and anything that's compostable. Because you've got a compost thing.
Starting point is 00:22:53 I've got a compost thing. So I put that in the little green bin. But you don't put them in bags in the brown bin. Sometimes. That's mad. I mean if it's, yes, it depends what it is. So I put my bins out last week. Yep.
Starting point is 00:23:09 I'll out. Everyone's bin is just thrown The fucking lids are hanging off Some like, okay Mine's all there lovely Oh, I feel that's saying it's not right here I've opened it They've not taken it
Starting point is 00:23:23 They've not taken the fucking bin Why? I don't know Natalie So I email the council I said it's 35 degrees Please What are you doing to me Why?
Starting point is 00:23:37 No response I've got maggots. I've got maggots. So today, I open it. It's fucking riddled with maggots. It's nothing worse, is there? Do you know what? There's one thing.
Starting point is 00:23:48 I cannot. I think we've spoken about this because it happened to my big bin last year. It gives me the hew-jeeves. I can't bear it. Me too. So I'm like bleach, hot water from the kettle. But they're not going to take that, are they now? Because it's got maggots in.
Starting point is 00:24:05 It's not my problem. What am I going to do? Why haven't they take it? There's got to be a reason. There's no reason. They're in the bags. Oh, lovely. Perfect.
Starting point is 00:24:14 So if they don't take that bin, I am going to lob that bin and say, oh, someone's stolen my bin again. I'm going to have to, because I can't deal with that. Well, we didn't talk about Emma. 72 pounds. What's, yeah, I mean. That's a lot of money for the bin.
Starting point is 00:24:35 She's been had over there. Is that a scam or something? That's what we pay for the, isn't that the garden? Maybe it's a garden. and bin. Any bin, if you've broken, I mean, this is sorry, guys, it's so boring, but I'll just can't get over it. It's crazy stuff, yeah, that's a real shame in that heat.
Starting point is 00:24:51 Maggots, lots of them. It's the ones. And then one of the green bags was split as well, so I'm like, now it's split. That's why I've got, I mean, it's up. And I opened it, and there was all these little flies. It's hit. So that's, yeah, I don't need that in my life. So, yeah, hopefully, if they don't pick it up, I don't know what I'm going to do.
Starting point is 00:25:08 Not good, not good at all. It will be lost. Another lost bin. We've all been there. Nisi was in Italy, listening in Rome. I thought you was called me, Nisi. Oh, did you? Nisi.
Starting point is 00:25:26 Let's see what you made. No, Nisi, loving listening in Rome to Nats Nisieces with Italian adverts. Oh, that's cute. So cute. We can do that. We can do that soon. Excellent. So excited.
Starting point is 00:25:40 go away. Yeah, can't wait. Be fantastic. Just a shame my child's got a broken arm. Oh, what the... Mad that we talk about a thousand things, but everyone goes for the sunglasses. That's me.
Starting point is 00:25:56 I thought that really sounds like that, Lou. That's hilarious. That was me just saying how crazy it is that you all talk about sunglasses. We try and guess what the most correspondence is going to be about. It's usually what Ilya brings up to be fair. Yeah, it is true.
Starting point is 00:26:13 It is true. Just listen to recent pod with you and the nieces. Listen since day one. However, I've never messaged. Crying at the Roberto roll of the tongue. Also, my hubby never leaves the house without sunglasses, whereas I only wear mine on holiday. I just have Botox to fill the frown lines.
Starting point is 00:26:32 Not sure why I'm telling you this. A relevant bit of info. Tracy from hitching. We love it. We love your irrelevance. don't you worry about that. Stealing thunder. That was a big one.
Starting point is 00:26:45 Oh, yes, yes, yes. Stealing thunder. Hey girls, on the subjects of stealing thunder, my niece had a big family gaffering on her 18th birthday. Her granddad decided to bring his new girlfriend to introduce to everyone. Half the family didn't even know she existed.
Starting point is 00:27:02 That was brilliant. Her nan died less than two years ago and they were married for 50 years. Oh, that's not brilliant. I'm so sorry. It was extremely awkward And hardly anyone on my sister in North Side acknowledged the poor lady
Starting point is 00:27:14 Oh no Love you girls in the pod Catherine Catherine we need more But how No it's awful However It's not her fault
Starting point is 00:27:23 No I know But he's rocked up He's probably 70 odd No I know At least We need to know like Was the woman a complete stranger Because then to ignore her
Starting point is 00:27:34 It's a bit harsh It's not her fault No she was a stranger He's just taking her along No one knew her. His new girlfriend. He's an older man, isn't he? Yeah, no, I know.
Starting point is 00:27:45 It's mad. Yeah, no. I mean, good luck to the geyser. Living life. And he's just rocked up with her. That is such a man thing to do. There's just no thought goes into it, isn't it? They just don't think that they're just probably thinking,
Starting point is 00:27:58 oh, I should bring my mate along. But at the 18th as well, yeah, that is jokes. That is so funny. Trying to think of anything like that outside. I don't know if you really had anything like that Well I have to say I wasn't overly enamoured when Bless my dad's heart
Starting point is 00:28:15 He decided to bring his friend from the golf club Down to London for the weekend I didn't like that But he was actually a young man to be honest I feel a bit bad by you're I thought you meant Yeah Yeah
Starting point is 00:28:30 When I look back though That is complete love for my mum jealousy Yeah He was, yeah, he brought his friend down. Was she young? Younger than him. Yeah. Was she?
Starting point is 00:28:42 I just, I, yeah. No, I get it. No, of course. No, of course. So no one did I have the amp? Yeah, no, absolutely. Nothing went on there. No.
Starting point is 00:28:52 But yeah, I just didn't like it. I know, but I just didn't like it. No, I don't, yeah. So I get it. No, everyone's at a birthday party and he comes along with some bird. That is hilarious. I'd love to know more. They still together?
Starting point is 00:29:04 Yeah, that would be nice. Catherine, are they still knocking about together? Because that's lovely, because you do. You need company in old age, and that's really lovely. You should never want someone to be on their own. It's not nice, and it's quite a selfish thing to want, actually. Morning, morning, morning from this scorchio. Fucking Scorchio!
Starting point is 00:29:23 It is currently 9.20 a.m., and I am dripping. God help me. Anyway, just listen to the pod regarding the sunglasses, and I think my husband, and I'm going to call him out, Aaron, he is in the minority then because he's a tart. He loves his glasses. Father's Day has just been and gone. I've just purchased his third pair of Raybans because he keeps losing him because he wears him all the time. So, yeah, Aaron, you're a tart, mate.
Starting point is 00:29:54 All right, you're a tart. Enjoy the weather girls. And hopefully, to the public, P-S-A. Public service announcement. If you are going out in the public today, everyone, put some bloody deodorant on, because already this morning I've smelled three people with Bobby Orange, and it stinks.
Starting point is 00:30:12 So get some of the odrin. Ciao. Oh, it's Holly from Kent, by the way. Ciao. Bobby Orange. Leave your advice, good. Really good. Brilliant.
Starting point is 00:30:25 I've been using Sanics. Yes. Game changer. Really? So good. Oh, that's good. Really good. I was thinking about getting Joni a little roll.
Starting point is 00:30:35 on? Yeah, I would. I know, sad. But it's for them, but even Alfie now in the shell, I say to him, not that he smells at all, but I say to him, wash your armpits, wash your dinkle, wash a bull sack. You've got to teach them. Yeah, of course you have. And even just to let them understand, you know, I'm like, this is where you sweat the most.
Starting point is 00:30:55 You've got to wash properly, do you what I mean? You could stand next to me and go, wash your feet, wash your feet, wash your bits. Oh dear. You've got a laugh. Yeah, I've got a laugh. Oh, sorry. Lauren Hickey sent us a little message. Just thought of the pod when you were discussing see-through leggings
Starting point is 00:31:20 and telling someone there's something wrong. Currently sat on a baking hot train on the way to see Take That, OG fan here like you all. There's a guy who went to the toilet. Oh, no. And got a wad of tissue paper to block his face. because he's sweating so much. Oh no, oh no.
Starting point is 00:31:40 And now the tissue has got stuck and so broken down with the sweat, he's leaving bits of train toilet paper all across his forehead. I don't seem to be able to say anything to him, so I now know where I stand on that discussion. Oh, don't. Poor guy. That's awful. Well, that's funny actually.
Starting point is 00:32:04 Even like we haven't mentioned, like, flies undone. Oh, Mark does it all the time Yeah, I do it all the time I'm really bad at that It happens to be the other day So I went oh your flies are undone I do it all the time And toilet paper stuck on your shoe
Starting point is 00:32:22 Yeah, that's a classic It's a classic I sometimes, before if that's happened to someone I'm just trying behind them Not trying to step on it That comes And they turn around I'm like, hi
Starting point is 00:32:34 They're doing you for stalkerish behaviour But you're just trying to help Oh dear Girls First Time voice-note are to the pod Katie from Binirickey I listen to all of your pods But you girls
Starting point is 00:32:55 Nat's nieces is my fav I have to say I literally As soon as it's dropped I'm on it Thanks for all you do And thanks for keeping us All so entertained
Starting point is 00:33:05 And keeping it real It's like listening to like three of my mates chatting. I laugh at loud sometimes. So thanks for that. The recent one, I've been trying to send this voice note all week and I get too embarrassed nothing on now. I'm not going to send it and I thought, no, I'm going to do it. So yeah, when Ellie was talking about sunglasses and men wearing sunglasses, I love a pair of sunglasses. I've got so many pairs of sunglasses. I, like just that the cheapy ones or, you know, I've got some expensive, but I love a pair of sunglasses. But my other half never
Starting point is 00:33:36 wear sunglasses and yet he should because he's been told that he's got UV damage so he should wear them. He never wears them. And yet we were just on holiday and he bought three pairs of sunglasses and in the end I was like, babe, yeah, get them. They can sit in the drawer with the rest of them. So, yeah, it's definitely a girl thing. We love an accessory, don't we? We do. Keep up with good work, girls. Love you lots. Oh, thank you. Well done for your first voice note. Don't ever think, oh, I don't want to do that because you listen, loads of people come on here and they talk. So you must do it. It's very important. So thank you very, very much.
Starting point is 00:34:11 Maria. Yes, Natalie. The Freibentos pies are still sitting there waiting for a taste test on Patreon. Not now. They've been in this room with 40 degree heat. No, thank you. No, they'll be fine. They're in a tin. But I'm just saying that needs to happen. Can't I? But we have an addition. What do you mean? This is from Stace.
Starting point is 00:34:30 Well, look what I've seen today. When you try the pies, you need to try this. Solid no from me. there is a Frey Bentos, meals in minutes, chicken cormer and a chicken teaka in a pouch. Lovely. So they're ones to add to the collection. What do you mean? Sorry, what's in that? Curry.
Starting point is 00:34:53 Chicken curry. On its own and you pull it all the rice. No, there's rice in it as well. Chicken corma with rice, chicken tika with rice. How much they're getting for ruby? You should probably love them. Easy as well. They do loads of stuff.
Starting point is 00:35:06 Never known it. If they want us to do a taste test, they can send us some stuff. Yeah, send us some stuff. I'm a pay house as well, to be honest. Don't stop fucking talking about you. It's unbelievable this pod. Nothing. Oh, gosh.
Starting point is 00:35:23 Hi there. How you doing? I'm just listening to Natis's pod, hence I've always known, on sunglasses, because I'm actually on my way to Rayband now. and I am very particular on my sunglasses. I'm going to stop that, sorry. Rayband. Is that what you said?
Starting point is 00:35:44 But I used to say Rayband. Oh, Matty, you've had a shocker, mate. Raybans. Rayban. It's Rayban. It is. I always used to say Raybans. I'm with you, Matty.
Starting point is 00:35:55 We'll continue. I've looked online. There's three different pairs I want, but I need to have try them on. I need to have a look how it looks on my face and all of that. But I'm probably going to end up buying it online because it's a 20% discount. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:36:08 Oh, now I need to tell you, I'm a miserable fucker today. Ain't it hot? I'm sweating off my tits off. I hardly slept last night. I've got to take that tonight. My mate's excited. I can't think of anything worse because I'm so tired. I've already had my hair cut.
Starting point is 00:36:25 Been up since 4 this morning. I've had my hair cut, coloured. I'm now down Oxford Street on my way to a raid band, and I think I'm going to kill myself because I'm that tired. Anyway, yeah, sunglasses 100%. quick story. So I'm wearing Raybans now and no one
Starting point is 00:36:43 looking at, if you were past the street, no one would think anything. Basically, I was at Birmingham Pride a few weeks ago. Got a bit jolly dick and I was on the Dodgums. They went flying. It basically come to pieces a bit. I've put it back together a bit, it's a bit wonky. And, yes, that's why I'm getting a new pet.
Starting point is 00:37:01 Anyway, hope you could. Hopefully I won't be a miserable bugger at. Take that later. But I can't think anything worse of all the people. shoved up me. Anyway, have a nice weekend. Bye. Well, you might be thinking
Starting point is 00:37:12 people will be shoved up you, Matty, but in your mood, I don't know if that's going to happen tonight. Happy Pride. Obviously, happy Pride Month, everybody. I've been a bit shit. You are quite shit. No, June, I've got loads of people
Starting point is 00:37:24 I want to talk to, and this month has passed me by. Oh, my God, June is fucking gone. Been and gone. Oh, my God. Been and gone. How has that happened? But it's Pride Month.
Starting point is 00:37:35 I've had a drag artist on. And no one on. It's bad. Really bad. I'm going to have to make it up and do one in July. I think you can do it any time of year, to be honest. But Kate But Kate Butch wants to come on. Have you seen Kate?
Starting point is 00:37:47 No. They do a, I'm going to show you, it's hilarious. They do a, what, they've got my calendar. And they're like, what month? What's Sonia have we got this month? Brilliant. It's really good. I mean, we did have a, you know, we went to Mighty Hoopla.
Starting point is 00:38:01 That was a good, proud day for us. It was a very, very, very gay day. Amazing, wasn't it? Yeah. But yeah, no, I will. I'll get some more people and it's outrageous. But Matty, hope you enjoyed take that. Let me know.
Starting point is 00:38:13 Yeah, I mean, there's been, yeah, Harry Stiles, take that, and it has been so hot. Baking. Baking. I mean, the world, for me, felt like they'd come to a bit of a standstill last week, which was crazy. Yeah, how do you stand on the heat thing? Because I know we all talk about it, but I think we need to gear up for it.
Starting point is 00:38:34 It's not going away. No, I think for me, the fact, having the flexibility to work from home I was very thankful for. Yeah. I'm not saying that I couldn't get in the office. The aircon office would have been a beauty. It's when I kept hearing all people stuck in London on the way home, two hours this, no trains that.
Starting point is 00:38:55 Who's got time for that? No. And if you really can do your job from home, if it's the odd occasion, I think that's okay. Yeah, yeah. The school stuff. Yeah. I was very proud of my school.
Starting point is 00:39:11 Yep. They were very much like the kids are fine. We're doing water play, putting our feet in bowls of water. It's going to be no... Joanie would have been good with that. Well, not running around, just calling up. No, and then she would have got up and slipped over and broke her leg. Well, no one touched her, our school has done that.
Starting point is 00:39:30 Excellent. I felt like there was a lot of encouragement for schools to close. Yeah, I think it's a very, very 50 split. Yeah. But if people are at work all day. This is what I mean. It puts pressure on us. It puts a lot of pressure on people.
Starting point is 00:39:43 Lucky you, if you're at home and you've got paddling pools or swimming pools and you don't work. But, you know, calling that on puts a lot of pressure on working parents. And even if it is a choice, in the end, our school said, look, a couple of days, if you want to pick them up after lunch, you're more than welcome. A lot of people couldn't do that. And then you're seeing all these kids, your kids seeing all these kids go. I don't know. I just think we need a little bit of funding. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:11 We need to look at what we now have. We have hot summers now. There's going to be hot times. It's going to be very, very cold times as well because of this heat. Yeah, yeah. The world's changing. Yeah, it's climate change and we're in it. So, yes, we can do our best, obviously, to try and do everything we can to stop it getting any worse,
Starting point is 00:40:32 but it's not going away. No. So we need to get, again, I need to have it. on in here. Yes. We need to, the schools need to, I don't know what you need to do,
Starting point is 00:40:42 it's hard because some of those buildings. But do you know, they say that the Victorian buildings, the old school, much cooler, yeah, not surprised. Much, much cooler. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:51 No, look, I get it. I completely get it. But I think it's a knock on effect. And don't get me wrong, there's going to be certain circumstances where kids have got certain things where, you know, they've got to be more cautious.
Starting point is 00:41:04 And if you can and take your kid out of school, that's a sure. choice, that's absolutely fine. But, yeah, I don't know. I don't know. But I guess for me, yeah, then there's parents, some people can't even do their job from home, so they're still having to go in and face that weather and do what they need to do.
Starting point is 00:41:22 Of course. I mean, I was in hospital in the hottest day of the year. Yeah. With all the nurses, I know I bang on about it, but you just think people are here. They're in, they're present, they're working, it's absolutely bacon. They're in uniforms, thick uniforms. I remember when I had Alfie. It was sweltering.
Starting point is 00:41:38 Do you remember how hot it was? So hot. Mad. And they're all doing their job. They have to. That's it. There's always going to be circumstances. But like you say, I think we've got to, we are, it's happening, isn't it?
Starting point is 00:41:51 But it's extreme. But we have got to start learning how we cope with it. But it's mad the amount of people that I've heard have got air conditioning installed. Our houses are not made for it. Do you know what I mean? It's a knock on effect. It's a knock on effect of the not sleeping. They're being in time.
Starting point is 00:42:07 made, everything's mad, isn't it? Like the kids having later nights. I did no washing. I couldn't do a thing. No. Iron in? I was like, absolutely not. My poor cleaner.
Starting point is 00:42:16 Again, shout up to the cleaners. You're amazing. Incredible. My cleaner turned up. I said, I didn't, I actually expected you to text me and say. That is so tight. She was like, no, I've come early. I'll get it done.
Starting point is 00:42:26 I thought, oh my God, thank you. That is really good. Really good. Because, yeah, I have struggling. Got a lovely message here. I'm going to keep this person anonymous, but I just loved it. So here we go. Hi, Nat, hope you're well. Just felt the need to pop you a little message to say thank you. I'll be 17 weeks pregnant tomorrow and I genuinely don't know how I would have got to this point without the pod. My anxiety has been awful, particularly bad in the first trimester. But you and your incredible family have been there to be the virtual hug I needed twice a week. I can't put into words the comfort you've brought me, whether it's been the laughs with Mark and the girls, the comforting chats with Linney or time.
Starting point is 00:43:06 Tony's calming voice, the pod has meant the world to me. And I just wanted to remind you of the difference you're making to people's lives. Hope you're well and I hope Joan is recovering, okay. Lots of love. Oh, that's lovely. But every now and again we get a little message like that. And I think you can rattle on and you're cracking through, and you're just doing them and doing them.
Starting point is 00:43:25 And then you see a little message like that and you think, you know, people really love what we do. So thank you so much. And remember, 077, 28, 20, 1919. send us a little voice note, send us a message. Remember, you can join Patreon. There's loads of bonus stuff on there. And actually,
Starting point is 00:43:44 we had a little message today that I think sums it up. I joined your Patreon, whatever it's called. What a bargain. I've not worked. I clean, right? And I have not worked
Starting point is 00:43:54 the whole of last week due to the weather. And I haven't had time to even check. I've just looked. Not only if I got three normal pods to listen to, oh my God,
Starting point is 00:44:04 there's so much in the Patreon. Like, I'm excited. Oh my God. Honestly, it's going to help me at work so much. Absolutely love you guys. That was from Chloe. So thank you, Chloe. I'm pleased that you are excited about it.
Starting point is 00:44:19 It's very good. Yeah, I need to catch up. I feel like I've got no time to catch up with everything. Well, you can't do it all. And it's lovely, lovely little community that is building there, which is super. Now, I wanted to talk to you very quickly about the tennis player. before we go. Yes.
Starting point is 00:44:37 I think it's a nice point and something we can leave food for thought for next time. So Naomi Osaka is a tennis player and she went on to the Wimbledon court wearing what I can only explain as a cream kind of bridal coat, if you like. Camono-esque.
Starting point is 00:44:58 And when I saw it, it was Steph, one of our listeners, that sent it to me. She said, have you seen this? I said, I love it. But she's had quite a lot of backlash. She has millions of views. Lots of people are saying, why is she going on to the court like that?
Starting point is 00:45:14 Obviously, she has her tennis gear underneath this beautiful, fashionable item. She looks sick. But I think, how brilliant is that? It's amazing. I feel like she's giving Beyonce, she's giving that star quality. Yeah. It's original. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:30 It's her personality. And she's showing it and she doesn't care. Yeah. But, yeah, I just wonder what you thought about it. I love it. I looked her up, she's got a comie, like we've got a comie, and she's on hype beast. What does that mean? Brilliant.
Starting point is 00:45:44 There's a hype beast for her. Yeah, it's a fashion thing. Right. She's, yeah, obviously, yeah, she's very into her fashion, as you can tell. Right. It doesn't, is it affecting anyone's life? It's her personality. She's creative.
Starting point is 00:45:56 She's a sports player. Good luck to her. It's like the Australian guy, Nick Curios. Yeah. I'm sure that he used to go and where he's Nike Jordan. I think it was something like that. Okay. So again, it's a bit, you know,
Starting point is 00:46:11 I'm like, oh, why's you got to be different? But it's... I like it, because I feel like sport, it's about precision. It's, you know, they work very, very hard to get to that level. But also, if you're fashionable, it's not just about fashion. I feel like that is a bit of a statement.
Starting point is 00:46:27 Do you know what I mean? It's not just... Yeah, it's like a boxer going on with his robe. Yes. You know what I mean? It's a entrance. I like it. Good luck to her.
Starting point is 00:46:36 Have an entrance. Yeah, why not? I thought power to you, girl. It was incredible. Excellent. Really good. So I just thought that would be a really nice conversation starter for next time of, do you think you wear what you want to wear?
Starting point is 00:46:51 I know you don't. I certainly don't. Do you think you are happy? You could go out and pick an outfit and just wear exactly what you wanted. Is that in your wardrobe? Do you feel like you do it? I feel you're very good and you wear things that are not, I wouldn't say daring, but they're your personality, which is why I feel you always look good. Thank you. Not as much as when I was a bit younger. I felt like I didn't give a shit as much. I had a bit more of my own individual style.
Starting point is 00:47:23 I actually think now I'm a bit more mainstream. Do you? I don't get me wrong. I'll still push the boundaries and say, I know you got to take the piss out of my lace socks and stuff like that. I'll still do my little bits, but not like I. used to. But I think when I was younger, I used to be very different, where exactly what I wanted to wear.
Starting point is 00:47:42 But again, I just think your personality changed. You change with age. You change with your shape. Do you know what I mean? Yeah. It's everything. But yeah,
Starting point is 00:47:50 I just wondered. But I think I would feel confident enough if I was going somewhere in particular and I wanted to be a bit more out there. I would do it. I wouldn't really give a shit. Yeah. So sort of people's weddings,
Starting point is 00:48:02 you know, stories of people wearing white at weddings. Oh, yeah. But you can't do that. Or just, you know, yeah, you're going to Ascot. Or do you, you know, you see some people, they go all out, don't they? Incredible. Yeah. But I think now with social media, I think a lot of people is a bit more conformed.
Starting point is 00:48:21 Like if you're going Ascot, you've got to look a certain way. Do you what I mean? So again, you're doing it for that picture. I think, well, not even that, but even just Ascot, there is a dress code. Yeah. You can't just wear, and there are themes. Like now, I feel like there's more themes than people. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:48:37 How about sort of, we'll see that in the next, this week, but even things like concerts, Nat. Yes. Do you know what I mean? Harry Stiles, everyone's wearing, you know, Olivia Deney, everyone's wearing poker dots. Yeah. And again, Harry Stiles are wearing ties, aren't they?
Starting point is 00:48:52 Ties, yeah. Shirts, glittery boots. And then obviously when it was Taylor Swift, it's like the whole. Cowboy's that. Oh no, cowboy was Beyonce. Well, because, yeah, but Taylor Swift is quite country. It's that sort of vibe. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:04 So it's interesting. We had a message from someone, actually, and I'm not going to find it because we're near in the end. But it was interesting. She said she was going out, going to a festival, Lannis, I think it was, whatever. Would you wear a different gig t-shirt to someone else's concert? Really depends, I think.
Starting point is 00:49:24 I think if it's, oh, we're not talking about this now. Should we end on that? Yeah, no, this is fine, yeah. I think if it's like a real iconic old. school, you can get away with it. So a Nirvana. I think that's quite a staple, isn't it? Lots of people wear that.
Starting point is 00:49:42 And if it's like a type of music, a genre, I don't know if you can get away with wearing certain things. But I don't really know where you would do. What would you, like what, though? I don't really understand. I mean, I would never wear an Alanis Morissette t-shirt, I don't think, and I really like her. But then I don't think I'd wear a different band t-shirt to a gig.
Starting point is 00:50:05 I don't think I'd wear any T-shirt merch-wise. Unless it was their gig. Yeah. That's how I feel. Yeah. Unless it's a really cool, soft sort of, I don't know, I've got it from, what was that lovely brand we used to like? Wild Fox. Wild Fox.
Starting point is 00:50:24 And it's got, I don't know, Madonna cover on it or something. Or if you were going to like a mini little festival thing. Yeah. And it's like a few different acts, but you're wearing something random, but it's none of the acts. I think that's all right, yeah. But it's interesting. Never really seen it. To be fair?
Starting point is 00:50:42 It's like going to see Blur and wearing Oasis. You just couldn't do it. Never. Vice versa. Couldn't do it. No, you wouldn't do it, would you? Well, I don't feel like you'd wear a Bluer t-shirt to a Blur concert. Well, some people do.
Starting point is 00:50:53 Yeah. Some people do. But an interesting one. Have you got things you'd love to buy? Have you always wanted knee-high boots, never worn them? Can you wear heels? I'd love to be able to wear heels. They'd kill me.
Starting point is 00:51:05 I just think they look really lovely and smart, but I can't do it. Is there an outfit you've always wanted to wear, be it like a great big, colourful coat? Well, it's even like Mighty Hoopla. Yes. What I wore, I'm never wearing that anywhere else. No, absolutely, yeah. But it was okay there.
Starting point is 00:51:23 And it weren't that, but it was nice, but even I've got my boots that I bought, and I'm thinking, when am I ever going to wear them again? Yeah. But you will maybe in the winter. I'll have a pair of tights or something, maybe. No. Oh, no, because they're beige.
Starting point is 00:51:34 No, they're brown. Oh. Oh, I wouldn't wear them with tights. Hate tights, yeah? No, I don't mind. No, I don't mind tites with like a little loaf or something. Oh, dear. Oh, it's a funny old one.
