Hello, how are you? It's Evie here. Life with Nat will start in just a moment, but before we get into this episode, I want to tell you about my podcast that I think your kids are going to love. I help them deal with big feelings, whether that's calming down for bedtime, finding confidence for school, or helping them feel safe and ready for whatever comes next.
Evie Asks is a podcast full of calming stories,

More energy.
What?
Is it?
More rhythm.
Yeah.
More foot.
Oh, is it?
Energy.
More footwork.
I thought it was passion.
More passion.
More footwork.
I thought it was passion.
Oh, why don't fucking.
I'm making it out.
How are we all?
Very well. Happy Monday.
Happy Monday, everybody.
Rise and shine.
I hope you had a lovely weekend.
You're right, my love?
No, I'm tired.
I feel wiped.
No, I'm all right.
I'm just, yeah, it's been a lot.
What has?
Life.
Oh, life has been lifing.
Kids have been kidding.
Kidding.
It's annoying.
No, I don't know.
I think just maybe first full week back at school.
I know this is going to now be the second week, but...
That's right.
Don't worry.
First full week back at school.
And I get it.
They're having, you know, it's now rules and...
Just change.
Complete change, exhaustion.
So, yeah, it's been a crazy weekend of emotions.
I mean, I always have to say, you want it that way around.
They're meant to come home.
We said this all the time, don't we?
But yeah.
Be assholes because they're good at school.
Joni was terrible last week.
Was she?
Terrible.
Really bad.
Really bad.
Isn't it?
What it does.
Just where they're all day, they're not used to it again.
They're back into that routine.
And then even poor Alfie, like yesterday,
he had like a sport.
He went to school in his peer kit, you know,
and they had one of them days.
He was at another school doing like sports development,
I think, something like that.
Then he had swimming.
Then he had a computer club after school.
And then he had football.
Oh, no wonder the kids are exhausted.
He's done more than I have.
Oh, look.
He walked in and he, you know, he was.
He just didn't know what to do himself.
I bet he was good this morning because he just got into bed
and this morning I got him up.
He had a shower, I washed his hair.
It's all right.
But yeah, it's a lot for them.
Yeah.
And a lot for me.
I'll tell you what, yeah, that's a lot to do in and today.
I couldn't do it.
I wouldn't be able to do it, genuinely.
Forget the children.
It's too much for me.
My brain don't cope.
Yeah, it's for how much is too much,
how much is not enough for them to do.
Yeah, it's hard to get a balance.
They're young.
They've got to get on with it.
And it's lovely for them.
What's lovely is you're allowing them to do lots of different little things
and then they'll find things they really enjoy.
And you're letting them have a taster,
which is really, they're very lucky to be able to do that, you know?
Whilst I remember that, I have to tell you.
So the weekend before was a lot nicer
because I went away with the girls to round off our 40s.
We went to Gusbourne Vineyard.
We have to go.
You would love it.
It looked beautiful.
It's incredible.
So they specialise in sparkling wine.
Oh, nice.
But they do everything there.
Grow the grapes.
Press the grapes.
Bottle it.
It's all done there, the whole thing.
A vineyard?
Yeah, but some don't just grow.
Some don't necessarily do the whole process there.
I see what you're saying.
Some grow and send off, you know.
some squeeze, press, squeeze, press and send off.
Squeeze.
Trying to think if the one we like in Cornwall does it all on site.
Yeah, the one man Jack went to did it all on site.
It was so good.
We had a free course, it was just beautiful.
I mean, the woman was so knowledgeable.
Yeah, it's nice.
Learned loads.
Drunk some amazing wine.
Were they talking about, did you talk about the year they've just had
and they're going to have a super year neck, you know, the grapes they've grown?
Yeah, well, yeah, but again, it all just depends.
Doesn't necessarily mean it's going to be.
just means like they were saying
they might actually make some red wine this year
it's just very interesting
it is interesting
yeah we should definitely do it
we could do a little recording
but what made me laugh is
we got a cab there
and we were chatting to the cab driver
he was very chatty
and talking about where we're from
we said where are you from
he said oh you won't know it
I said we'll try us
he said I don't know someone from Swanley
I have one person
do you know Claire
she goes around the park
He said, who is it?
I said, well, her name's Claire.
With an eye.
Is it?
Yeah.
Are you sure?
No.
With an E.
No, I've said it.
At the end.
I think it's...
C-L-A-R-E?
That's what I think.
No.
She's out of shit.
Anyway, so I was like, Claire.
He was like, Claire who?
Claire from Swanley.
But I had no reception.
I was trying to find my messages to find out if she told me anywhere...
Oh, I can't, anyway, but I had no reception.
I couldn't get on my messages.
I was trying to, I was going to message her.
And you still think that he would know her.
Well, you just never know.
There's quite a lot of people in Swan Leaf.
Yeah, I know.
But why do we do that?
I don't know.
But that is, but he was like, he was like, I'm curious now.
It is with an eye.
Oh, is it.
Oh, okay.
But I mean, this is not the same, but obviously we've just been away.
And having, so I've got a friend whose husband is from Mauritius.
Yes.
So everyone, I was like, yeah, so my best friend,
Her husband actually is from Mauritius, and I was not giving the surname,
but I was told that his surname is quite a well-known surname.
And they were like, oh, yeah, we know the fact, not the family, but that family name.
So I'd be like, yes, but why do we do that?
That's exciting, isn't it?
Yeah.
But then he was like, but how do you know her then?
How do you know someone from Swanley?
And I was like, I said, it's really boring, mate.
And he said, no, I'll say, when I do a pod, and he was like, he was so confused.
Brilliant.
He was like, this is the weirdest thing.
So yeah, that really made me laugh.
We should see her soon, the old brunchy.
Lovely.
Very, very good.
You're looking very well, aren't you?
I'm not really, my face isn't looking great today.
I apologise.
Get the arms out.
The arms and the legs are looking rather brown.
So good.
I will have to give a little recommendation.
Go on.
So I bought Fox tan.
It's a tan enhancer.
My goodness, unreal.
Did you copy me?
No.
Oh, I just saw it online.
Kate recommended it to me quite a long time ago.
I went with a different one, but it was brilliant.
Smells lovely.
And shimmer, like the shimmer.
Yeah, really nice.
I got it for Santorini.
However, I must say my only complaint was my lotion
because it's quite a, it's not a thick lotion, very watery.
The fucking nozzle broke.
So then I had to pour it because it's so watery.
It was like milk.
No, mine was a nightmare.
Mine was all right.
Yeah, mine did.
Yeah, no, we had a really lovely holiday.
Maricious is a beautiful place.
It really is.
Like on the people,
just amazing.
We did some lovely things.
It felt like a proper holiday.
Yeah.
A very special.
We did some nice excursions.
We fed monkeys.
James just was, yeah, in his element.
It was lovely.
And nice to spend that time together.
Yeah.
It's a long time.
It's a long time.
Yeah.
Yeah, it was.
It felt like a long time.
It's so long.
I felt like you've gone travelling or something.
It was the weirdest thing.
It's weird, isn't it?
And it felt like we were the way.
It felt like home.
It felt like we were there forever.
Yeah.
Funny, isn't it?
And then you just come home.
But it's nice that you can settle somewhere and really get into it.
And then you know where you're going, you know, wherever everything is.
I was sad to say goodbye to like the pool staff.
Yeah.
One of the pool staff bought James some cars.
I was just like just so beautiful.
And because you're there for a long time, you don't mind going out and doing the excursions.
You got time to do that.
And we had some treatment.
Like it was, yeah, you didn't feel.
And we had some lying.
We had early nights.
You've got to just fill it all in.
And you've got to be up at the cracker dawn to be out.
And the days weren't very long, were they?
In the sense it, it gets dark quite early.
Yeah, it gets dark about it.
It was about six o'clock.
But to be honest, with James, we were back to the room by four.
We'd have a little, like, it was.
And then we would go for dinner early.
He was in on good form.
Yeah, lovely.
And then we'd be back at the room for nine, put him to bed.
And then we'd still have an hour and then be in bed ourselves.
So we would have good sleep.
Really nice.
Yeah, it was really wholesome.
Oh, lovely.
Had some knobet.
along the way.
Did you?
Come on.
Sorry, I feel like I always have dramas.
Well, we haven't heard.
Have you heard?
I haven't heard these.
Honestly.
Well, the first one isn't a drama.
I think I was voice noting you at the time and they came and sat down and that's why I then told you.
There was a couple there.
And it just blows my mind.
Like, you haven't got, I'm not asking to be your friend.
But when you see someone every day for, you know, we're now probably a week and you don't even look up.
Don't say good morning.
Just like, or acknowledge James.
Most people would say.
Were they on their own?
Just a couple.
Yeah, just a couple.
Two guys, like very pristine, well-dressed.
Like, looked like nice people.
So you'd expect that you've sat next to us on a sunloungeer all day.
Bit of interaction.
You just might even go, oh, he's cute.
Like just something.
Everyone commented on James.
Everyone would say morning to him, staff, just people.
And they just did not look up.
Sounds like me, to be fair, in Santerian.
Yeah, but also that's different when you're...
Did you have any interaction with anybody else?
Tried not to, but yeah, I did.
But the point is, is when you're staying on a resort like this, you sort of see the same, you know, you see people.
I saw a couple and their kid every morning.
What, and you didn't you just go, hi?
No, I did.
Of course I did.
They'd start talking to me, didn't they?
I tracked them.
But the point, like, I understand if you don't, I'm not, I'm not going out.
I just find it mad that you could sit and see someone every day and you don't.
don't even sort of just...
Nod.
Even just once, it's weird to me.
And then you've got other couples every morning.
Yeah.
Like, I just...
Oh, you see someone in the morning that you saw at dinner and the night before.
Did you try and speak to them?
No, no, no, not at all.
No, I weren't...
I've had no interest.
I just find it odd.
I find it odd, though, in any circumstance.
Even if I'm on a tube, I find it weird that you're opposite someone and you don't smile.
No, absolutely not.
I just...
It's interaction with human beings.
The thing for me, and I kind of...
understand in certain circumstances, but I think in this case when you are basically
seeing this person multiple times throughout the day.
And you're on holiday.
I mean, you're chill, yeah, you're not really, I don't know, it just, they, like,
they would be in the pool at the same time as Jack and Jane.
It was just weird, weird.
And when there's a child, you kind of think, even if you just like, you'd see.
No, I mean, I know I say things and I try and be like a miserable cow.
But you do?
But when we were in Santorini, number one got the,
to the hotel and I was like, why the fuck their children here?
Perfect.
Because I booked this because it's adults only for the hotel to then say,
oh yeah, we've just made it kid-friendly this.
Oh, yeah.
Perfect.
Great.
Oh.
But there wasn't many kids there.
It's not the sort of place you would.
A couple of little children.
And what, you see them that run past and you're like, oh.
No, no.
So there was a couple with a little, little baby.
And they got in the pool and I said, do you want me to take some photos of you?
Yeah.
So I did do that.
Yeah.
Even for us, there was a couple on this island that we went over to, like as part of the resort,
and they were taking loads of photos of each other.
So, and I, like, Jack was playing, I just went, do you want me to take some of you?
And she was like, oh, my God, would you?
We've just got engaged.
And I thought, I'm so happy that I got some lovely pictures of them.
Her ring was amazing.
They were so cute from New York.
They were excellent.
Anyway, then we get to the airport.
They're there on our flight now.
Nothing finished.
I think they were fuming, James running around.
So I was like, go on, James.
run over there near them.
These guys, they were on our flight home.
Oh, good guys.
Sorry, I thought they were your couple.
No, no, no, sorry.
I want that on your flight.
Yeah, yeah.
The next couple were, this blows my
mind, so sort of middle-aged
on the flight.
Hold on, where are we here?
We're sorry.
We're leaving, no, we're going
from London to Mauritius.
So this, whatever, they're doing their thing.
We're on the plane.
We all fall asleep.
Lovely.
There's a couple with two
children, one's quite a small baby who was crying quite a lot.
For me, I didn't hear.
I think no one, you know, it is what it is.
You're on a plane.
These things can happen.
I got woken up by this woman going, will you shut up?
To the baby.
And I said, oh, random to the baby.
No, she didn't.
I said, oh no, is that?
The mum, I thought she's having a really hot, you know, like you really should.
He went, no, it was her.
I said, no.
I was raging.
No, she didn't.
Anyway, I felt back to sleep.
They were at the end of, they sort of weren't even that close.
I thought, you are a disgrace.
Get to the hotel.
They're in our hotel.
So I thought, okay.
Another one who you see every day doesn't even look, no nothing, no, just awful.
But you smiled at that one, didn't you as well?
Well, then we get on the plane coming home.
They're there.
They're sat behind us.
So I smiled, nice big smile and she just point blank, just didn't do a thing.
So I thought, oh, anyway, there was.
There's a bit of a seat situation.
Me and Jack Ford, we'll be kind.
We'll give the family for our bit and we'll swap.
It makes no difference for us.
They were very grateful.
The air hostess said they will love that.
That's really kind of you.
We were shuffling around.
She was fuming.
I thought, fucking, not this woman out, mate.
I'm going to, but I thought they're not going to let me fly.
So I need to be calm.
So then I see the air hostess who was beautiful.
Suzanne on a BA flight, she was really lovely.
She was chatting.
She said, they're just having a jig.
and they'll be sort of, she went, no, they won't.
I was on the flight out here with them.
The kids didn't sleep.
The hot, like, went in.
Was it that same family?
No, it wasn't.
So she's just making out, she's seen kids and she's just, they were on the flight.
Because they're probably thinking, we've come away.
Fly in what we're flying.
Get a private jet and going to stone of fucking island on your own.
I know, but I'm just saying, they're probably thinking we're not going in summer holidays.
Yeah, but you're going to a place like that that is a very family.
I know.
I know.
I'm not just the fact.
I'm just thinking what they're thinking.
I'm sorry.
We've flown out of school holiday times to avoid children.
We've ended up with a load of children.
No, but also people have children under the age of five.
And also get a private jet then.
You cannot pet women, more so I would probably say,
because I do think as a mother you take the brunt of the anxiety
that you have getting onto a plane.
You don't need someone like that.
No, no, no.
Anyway, then I said to this after, I said,
I'm just going to tell you,
If she says one more thing, I will have to say something to her.
I said, and I told her what had happened on the way out.
You said that to the air host.
I said, she's been on our plane, our hotel for two weeks, not even looked up.
She said she's awful.
She went to me, darling, don't you worry.
Sit down.
I'll get you a drink.
I was like perfect.
And basically the husband just spent the whole time staring at me.
So I was just sort of saying, are you okay?
Do you fancy me?
Because you keep looking at me whilst James is like asleep, bless him.
But just those people, you just don't need it.
It's funny.
I just find, and then after I'm holding James trying to get out and they're like getting past me, getting a lift, they don't, you know, they're just, they're just those sorts of people.
Miserable people.
And then I just think they're awful. And then I had a guy next to me that I said, I'm really sorry. He did sleep all the way out here.
So I'm hoping he went, oh, don't worry about me. He said I've got, what is it, noise cancelling and headphones.
I know, but where was we?
I'm like, put some headphones in then.
It was the same as when we come, was it when we come home from Italy?
And Eliza was sitting next to that woman.
and she was just like this.
And I'm like,
it's the summer holidays.
Yeah, there's a lot of children.
But bring some fucking headphones with you then.
Or even a half hour flight.
Just don't fly then in the summer holiday.
Unfortunately, you can't, you.
It's life, isn't it?
Me and mum were talking about this and we were like,
I think mum might have said if they had that quiet areas on a plane
or you could book certain seats where there's no children.
Yeah, of course.
That would work. Can I just go back to putting headphones in. I was on a train yesterday.
Very fortunate, first class train. And I had a bloke behind me. I have never heard someone eat so loud in my life.
It was like he was chewing on like a toffee apple. I just can't explain the noise.
it was, and I could hear all this light, oh, it was awful.
So I had to put my headphones in.
Yeah, I just had my headphones in all the time.
And just put it really, really loud.
But it, the eating thing, I've got a little bit of that where it, I can't.
Yeah, but also when it's a stranger.
Yeah, and they're eating, you think, oh, and right behind you.
Oh, yeah, no.
Right behind me.
Yeah, no.
It's the same as someone having a conversation loudly.
Like, it's just aggravating, isn't it?
Yeah.
But again, just, yeah, headphones and.
Just got to get on with it, haven't you?
Yeah.
But it was quite quiet where we were
because it was quite a spread out result
but also time of year it was quite quiet
when I'd put James to sleep
and then you'd have like
five people walk past him
and they're being so loud
and I think oh my God there's one baby here asleep
just go the other way or shut up for a minute
we was on the phone
and you said something
and you were like oh I think they may have heard me
a boy was kicky was it was it?
Oh yeah because there were three boys
and they were all right near James's Prime
again you can't
You can't help it, but I know that I would be conscious of that.
Obviously, you can't help it, but if James was directly next to a pram, kicking something and making a really loud noise, I'd be like, oh, guys, just come and do it over here.
Yeah.
You're in a pool.
You can't help other kids doing things, but I'd just be a bit more mindful.
Yeah.
Yeah, funny.
So, no, a few sagas.
Oh, the playing thing, yeah, gives me the Ghibit jibis.
But James was, yeah, I mean, he was great, so thankfully he was, he was, he was, he was,
quiet the whole time. But then after he had
a little cry and I was going, yeah, cry a bit more. Go on,
louder. Stupid bitch.
Yeah, I was not happy about that.
Anywho? There you go.
We had a lovely time.
Also, for people not seeing the video,
it'll help you to know that I'm wearing an oasis t-shirt
for this next bit of conversation.
Did you see the Google searches, Rose?
Stupid idiots. You know what?
What? The Google searches because of the question.
People like to search it up
I think
Well they should have like
Take
Because I don't get that
Well hopefully
If you've googled it
And you don't get it
Yeah
I surely can do that
It's a fucking load of bollocks
Anyway
Such a con
It's a con
Have you seen how much the tickets are
It's a joke
How much are
I'm over it actually
But if you get one
Thank you
Yeah I was going to say
Noted
When
Babies that's over 200
$100 for a ticket.
I know, it's a lot.
It's ridiculous.
But what?
They've just done a massive tour.
They've made loads of money.
They can do it.
But the demands is there.
But the whole thing is like, for the people that didn't get to go the first time,
or what, you think they're the ones that are going to get the fucking ticket the second time?
Yeah, that's true.
But come on, let's have some jovee for it.
I'm very excited by it.
Okay, great.
I've put myself down for Nibworth, Paris.
What else?
I've done exactly the same.
No.
I think I did Barcelona because I was just thinking of the mumps.
I did.
Maybe Amsterdam was going to do Vegas.
I did, um, just do,
damn it.
What a shame, guys.
We should have all done different cities.
I did Amsterdam.
Um,
Newark first.
Yeah, of course.
Yeah, Nebworth first.
Maybe I did do Manchester.
I thought it would be great to watch them in Manchester because they're doing it at the Man
Man City Stadium, aren't they?
Oh, are they?
The Etihad.
Etty had, yeah.
That would be good.
It would be good.
So what happens?
How many tickets can we get?
How does this flow?
It's probably only four.
I reckon it's four.
But it could even be two.
But I reckon max four.
I might need your credit card details or something.
That's what I said.
I said, well, if I get through, I'm fucked.
No, you'll have to just do it or we have to sort it out.
When is it, sorry, remind me.
I have to put an alarm on the old phone.
I don't know.
Oh, when we get it.
The tickets come out soon.
Yeah, yeah.
But we'll get an email.
Okay, great.
It's like the Spice Girls thing I signed up for the other day.
funny.
Like, did they take it a piss?
What was it?
Some CDs, some finals of the singles.
I mean, that is wild.
There were thousands of people like, not again.
Everyone was like really happy.
I really want them to do a concert.
Maybe they're just building up.
Let's hope so.
I think so.
That would be brilliant.
Yeah.
Well, we went, didn't we?
I was pregnant with Alfie.
Yeah.
So that was...
It pissed down with rain all day long.
Oh, it did, didn't it?
You had to buy the things.
Again.
No, not really.
Marie was pregnant.
Everyone was smashing her out.
It weren't nothing to do it.
No, is it not?
I don't know.
Hey-ho.
That was at Wembley.
That was a good fun, but yeah, it did rain.
But yeah, what was that?
Seven years, eight years ago?
Seven years ago?
Seven and a half.
Oh, no, it's nice, isn't it?
She's wearing a t-shirt, incredible.
It's just nice to get back in the mood.
Yeah, no, it would be lovely to get tickets.
It would be good.
And Nebworth would be brilliant because it would be good.
And also it's up the wrong.
road.
Yeah, it's just lovely.
Easy.
Although apparently trying to get out of
Nebworth after one of those events is horrendous.
I've heard.
It's relevant.
Oh, no.
It's not relevant.
It's just crying for two hours.
Oh, God.
Brilliant.
Oh, but Nebworth is just standing, isn't it?
Yeah.
Flying by me.
Yeah.
Well, unless they put any, but no, it will be standing.
Have you been?
Have I been?
No, I didn't go to Nemworth.
I haven't done anything for Nebworth.
What do you mean? Did you go?
In the back of the day.
Possibly. I probably feel like I have been.
I mean possibly, but I don't remember.
Can you remember? Can I remember? Okay, fine. So we got that to look forward to or be disappointed by.
Lovely. We all need to try and get them. Everyone wants to go.
Who's everyone?
Well, me, Mark, her, Jack. You want to come?
It's not one person with four. We need to get as many as we can.
But if we only get one of us.
only gets four, I'm coming.
So you have to get rid of Mark or Jack.
Brilliant.
Perfect.
I mean? I haven't been.
That sounds like your problem.
So what, if you get four tickets, you Jack, me, and then it's up to her, isn't it?
Her or Mark?
I'll be going, so it's irrelevant.
Okay, no Mark.
And the same of you.
No, Jack.
No, Jack will be going.
Yeah, Mark really enjoyed it.
It's a thing now.
Okay, well, I'm coming.
because I haven't been.
We just all need to get the tickets.
I love it, but we might not all get tickets.
What do you mean?
We'll have to just deal with that at the time.
If I get tickets, me, Jack Mark.
Wow.
Charming.
And her friend from work?
Yeah.
That's all right.
We'll get nice VIP ones.
We'll go on our own.
I'm not going on to VIP.
I don't even know if they're doing that.
I just made it out.
I think they're probably on.
Yeah, they probably will.
I know you've probably been speaking about it,
but I did my first roast of the season on
Sunday.
Lovely.
It was lovely.
I did sausage and mash.
I did that Saturday with onion gravy.
I would love to do sausage and mash.
No one wants it here.
Oh, so good.
Joanie don't like mash.
Eliza doesn't like sausages.
I'm just here for, just the roast, the Sunday, musical and pottering around.
Yeah, I've got no desire.
I love it, and it was excellent.
Banging cauliflower cheese.
You're good at Roe.
You two are good.
I'm not good at a roast.
I've got no interest.
Really?
I just enjoy, I enjoy doing it more so.
necessarily eating it.
I don't like eating it.
No.
By the time you spend it all day on it, you're not into it, are you?
I think because we'd been away, you know, you fancy something like homely.
And then I did a chili yesterday.
Banging, that was.
Nice.
But I've really, like one meal that we could all eat.
It's actually a game changer.
Well, it's nice if you're all together at home and able to do that.
Well, we didn't eat it all at the same time.
But what I'm saying is, I took a bit out.
I'm not doing his dinner, then another dinner.
You know, like in the summer we're doing a barbecue.
So it was lovely.
I did the same yesterday of a spaghetti bolognay.
That's what I mean.
This sort of time of the year now, you do sort of more, that one pots.
I'm really here for it.
I've still got loads of tomatoes.
I love some more.
I made some more sauce.
And you know what I did yesterday in my spaghetti bonnets.
I did use a sort of like a cat of cartons.
But then put another load of that in.
Because they're so sweet.
Yeah.
You could even just chuck the tomatoes in, sweeting it up.
I've just made all that.
I've just done it all.
Yeah.
Made it and frozen it.
Lovely.
So I've got all the sauce.
But I know what you're saying, but it's very warm.
It is very, very muggy.
It's what I would say.
I mean, you could.
You could, yeah.
But I'm over it.
I'm not interested in eating like that.
We are having our salmon and stirre fry.
I feel like I always have that when I do.
So Tuesday for dinner.
Tuesday, yeah.
I love it.
I really enjoy it now.
I've got no idea what to have tonight.
I haven't thought about myself.
Because we do this Tuesdays.
I get all discombobulated.
And Mark's home a little bit.
later tonight, he's going to collect something for me for Christmas.
Nice and organised tonight.
Just to let everybody know.
No, it's eBay, been looking for it for ages.
I said, don't tell me anymore.
I don't know what you're talking about.
And he said, I have to go and get it tonight.
So I said, oh, oaky dokey then.
Stunning.
Well, I couldn't find.
It's probably a left-handed drill or something, by the way.
Is that I mean?
Sorry, continue.
Something for Christmas?
Is he going to give it to you now?
No, it's for Christmas.
Oh, what a present?
Yes.
Oh.
What did you think?
To use it.
To use it.
To use it.
To use.
Prepare or something.
Yeah.
Left-handed knives?
Is there such things?
On eBay?
No, it's eBay.
He said he's been looking for ages and ages and ages.
I'm intrigued.
I'm very organized.
I like it.
Yeah, so I thought the other day,
oh, fuck, I need to get my autumn reef out.
Yep.
Do you think I can find it?
Oh, shut up.
Where have I put that?
In the shed?
In the shed in a bag.
I don't think I would have put it in the shed.
I've cleared under the stairs out.
It's not there.
I can't find it in the loft.
You do this quite a lot.
Blaine's bought me a new one from ASDA.
It's better as well anyway.
Is it?
It's nice, I've got bigger.
Yeah, I love it.
I'm going to put it up.
But I'm going to find it because I wouldn't have thrown it away.
No way.
So where has that gone?
You have put it into a bag.
No, I wouldn't.
Box, I would have put it in.
Really?
In my head, I was like, I know the box it's in, I know what it looks like.
How strange.
You sure you have loft?
I went up there, I couldn't find it.
Yeah, but have you got rid of it by accident.
Really?
You might have gone ice, a bit tatty now and just thrown it.
I had it got it last year.
No, I don't think she would do that.
It's really annoying.
Shed?
Try the shed?
No, it's not in the shed.
I wouldn't have put it in the shed.
I've looked all up on top of the kitchen units.
Oh, that's annoying.
I cannot find it.
But anyway, bless me went and bought me one.
I mean, we bought James two hats for holiday.
I know.
Had to send them back because they didn't fit.
So I bought another two hats.
We know.
Got on holiday.
No hats.
So then mum went round because she was like, I know we were here.
I know you were.
So then, yeah.
Where were they else?
In a package in, yeah, in like next parcel.
But I didn't put them in there.
So mom or Jack definitely did that.
So you left him, you didn't have his hats?
Then we had to buy him a hat out there.
That's a nightmare really, isn't it?
Just honestly, these hats, I'm so over.
I'm sake.
Absolutely nightmare, to be honest.
I need to sort my wardrobe out now.
It's stressful, isn't it?
I desperately need to sort mine out.
You see my bin bags on the stairs?
Yeah, I did see those.
I know right old go.
What are you going to do with all that?
Mark will take it to the charity tip place.
Charity tip place.
Yeah, well, it all goes to...
That's three different things.
You know what I mean, it goes wherever it goes.
Charity, like the banks.
Yeah, clothes bank.
Good luck.
Good luck with that.
Where does he go?
He goes to a massive tip and then you do the, there's the clothes.
Because the ones at Brookfield, the ones here.
No, no, no.
You can't.
They're full to the brim.
I've just got all my summer wardrobe, all banging.
Ship shape.
And now it's winter.
I know, yeah.
Autumn.
So that's cute.
And I have to start again.
Different though with winter.
It's like jumpers and stuff.
It's easy in it.
But again, it's not quite there yet.
No, no.
I put a jumper on the other day.
I've been.
And shorts and T-shirts the last two days.
Genuinely, I don't know how you've even got that on.
I'm hot.
Last night I woke up, my chest was sweating, wet.
Hot, isn't it?
And Jack last night was like, why is it so hot in here?
It was about 17 degrees or something.
It was so hot, but I've never, I was dripping with sweat.
It's crazy stuff.
I did say, you're sure you've not touched something on your phone or something and you've put the heating on?
No, no, no.
It's going to be like this as well for a while.
Yeah.
Yeah, well, Eliza's birthday next week.
We were thinking, rain, this, that.
Beautiful sunshine, 21.
Wow, lovely.
That's crazy.
That's, it's...
21, gorgeous.
I just wish there was a bit more sun.
Like, if it's going to be warm, it's a bit dull.
Perfect walking weather.
Now I'm into me walking.
Oh, she's walking.
Oh, it's great.
Well done.
I'm trying to walk every day, and now I know what your mum, I'm obsessed.
How long do you walk for?
I'm panicking, thinking, I can't walk today.
Yeah, it's horrible.
that feeling, isn't it?
It's making me feel so much better.
When, what, how long, how far?
An hour.
What do you do, listen to a pod?
Nothing.
Sorry?
Don't listen to a thing.
Oh my God, that's so worrying.
I listen to one.
I've started an audio book, brilliant, actually.
John Lennon and Paul McCartney, all about their life.
It's called John and Paul, a love story in songs.
It's excellent.
But yeah, I did it for one walk and then realized, actually,
I really like the walk with nothing.
Peace.
clears your head
It clears my head
and I get to think
Yeah see I'd be thinking too much
No it's good
And I'm thinking about things
You know you would be
She'd fucking turn around crying
I know me home
Horrid
In this mood
You would
I just feel very heavy-headed
No it's time in the month
And all that
It's a lot
It's killing me
Humidity don't help
No it's very close
It does wipe you out
As you get older
I feel the periods
Well I was reading up about it
I don't think it's Perry.
I think...
No, it's not because I haven't got other symptoms.
It's that other thing.
What do they call it?
Menstruating, yeah.
No, but it's...
Hold on a minute.
What's it called?
Fucking, I'll watch to Google everything these days
just to help me get through life.
Is that PMDD?
Oh, God.
Pre-menstrual dysphoric disorder.
Do you know what?
I think that's quite serious.
Oh, no, is that too much?
No, no.
I think it could be true.
but I'm just saying that.
It's quite a serious thing you're saying there.
I really, why.
Because it's quite a emotional...
Yeah, no, it says,
even though you're not experiencing
classic perimenopausal signs yet,
entering your 40s,
or to tell your brain handles
the normal hormone drops right before you bleed.
Your body is still ovulating predictably,
but your nervous system has become highly sensitive
to the sudden plunge of estrogen
and progesterone.
In the two weeks leading up to your period,
the sensitivity directly causes the overwhelming
in anxiety and sad and rage you are feeling.
So what's the date today, guys?
Today is...
I'll pop it in my calendar.
It's the middle of the month, basically, 15.
Perfect. Let's take note.
Sort of two weeks. So from the
first of the month to the 14th.
No, I'll go fifth.
Oh, I don't know.
Well, we'll see. We'll assess it.
What do you mean? You went around.
No, I know. I've been around.
I was all right until the weekend was a bit...
Very quiet.
No, I know.
Didn't hear from the beach.
What do you mean?
Just go quiet.
What, the weekend?
Yeah, you go quiet.
I've been very busy.
No, I know, but I'm just...
Well, no, you just said it yourself.
Yeah, but I'm tight.
I can't do all the phone and...
That's what we're saying.
But it's good.
It's good that you switch off from it.
I had a busy weekend as well.
Alfie had his first football match.
How'd it go?
It was so cute.
They won, 6-1.
Did they?
And he got, what do they call it?
You say, and he's training, and he got player of the session or whatever.
And if they get three of them,
the guy gives them a £10 voucher.
How cute is that?
That's really good.
Really cute.
So, yeah, no, he loved it.
That's really good.
Yeah, it was really good.
It was lovely.
He cracks me up.
He was playing the fence quite a lot.
He fucking glows him with a sliding tackle.
Does it?
I'm cruising up.
But he really enjoyed it.
I said that's the main thing,
because I think he was a little bit nervous to start with.
Yeah.
But, no, he enjoyed it.
Oh, bless him.
Bless his little.
I'd like to come on.
Yeah.
I'd like to come on.
Yeah.
Can I come?
Yeah, we'll go.
Please.
A local one.
A local one, we'll do it.
All right.
Excellent stuff.
Yeah, funny.
Listen.
Hello, Nat and the nieces.
It's just came up in Northumberland.
Just currently getting towards the end of episode 227.
I think it's been one of my favourite episodes.
I absolutely loved the chat about the animals and what the personalities would be like.
I hope.
And I definitely think a Stag beetle is like a gym bro.
Kind of obvious but I think it would just be hilarious.
Oh yeah, I'm going to pick up the biggest ball of shit I possibly can.
Can any of you babies beat me?
Well, that was embarrassing.
Anyway, also really enjoyed Elia's game.
That sounds so good.
I clean people's houses.
And if I had a daily checklist in houses and just everything in day-to-day life,
like you say about like emptying the dishwasher,
and getting a parking space and stuff.
I think it would just be a great way to keep us entertained during my days,
apart from you guys.
Anyway, all the best.
That's like a blast.
Oh, the gang thing.
We really should do that.
So what was it?
If you do certain things, you get points.
Yeah, like if you beat, if it's turning, like, the traffic light,
but you get through it, or if you get to where you need to be on time.
I think also with AI, you can.
You could just whack it all in.
It would just do it all for you.
Who's done the most loads of washing that day?
Who's ironed the most?
Bonus points.
Your mum.
Yeah, we'd never win that one.
I would have on Sunday.
Fucking seven.
What?
Loads of washing.
Oh, who ironed it?
No, it hasn't been ironed yet.
What was going to do?
No, they weren't that much.
It's all summer stuff.
It's all going away in the cupboard.
What am I in it for?
That's exactly what I did.
To get it out and it's all creased anyway,
because it's all that creased anyway, because it's all that creasy.
Nah.
straight in.
Put it in the boxes.
At least it's fresh.
See, I don't do that.
That was sort of something I wanted to do.
What?
Like put all the summer stuff in boxes.
I have some drawers that I don't really use.
Or even just the fabric.
Yeah, that's what I need to do.
Yeah, because even I bought some of the packing ones for the suitcase
and I've actually put some of the kids' summer clothes in those in the wardrobe.
It is nice and neat.
That'll be lovely.
They'll be good next year when they've grown and they don't fit them.
Well, those few bits should, no?
I say that about January.
I've done it.
There's a few bits that might.
Yeah, some bits that might have been a bit oversized
or shorts you can get away with.
Even that now, all their clothes.
Oh, my goodness.
It's a lot, isn't it?
Just don't think about it tonight is what I'd say.
Okay, thanks.
Hi, Nat, just listening to one of your pods
and listening to you with your nieces
talking about schools
and giving laptops and that to children.
You are right.
Most secondary schools now, they do give them devices.
I know all the secondary schools in the area where I live,
the kids all have iPads to do a lot of their work on in class and to be able to do
homework and stuff. I think a lot of that has come from the knock-on effects from COVID when
children are all having to be at home, not being able to be at school and some kids had devices,
some kids didn't. But yeah, most kids now have got devices from secondary schools.
I don't know if I 100% agree with it, but I don't 100% disagree either. One of them, isn't it?
Anyway, keep up the good work. Pod's still great. Fab as ever. I'm just coming.
catching up on a few things because I went on holiday and I was busy enjoying myself so I didn't really get time to listen a lot to you and I spent a bit of time reading so I don't get to do that but yeah keep it a good word see ya
that lovely accent the Brummy accent the voices no I can't do it
I like it it is soft it's very nice and soft some can be a bit yeah jarring oh really yeah it depends that way of it yeah peekie blinders yeah
Yeah. But hers was nice. It was, it felt soft.
We've had lots of mixed messages on that.
Because loads of people messaged, absolutely not.
Yeah, so maybe.
Well, also, I think it's all money.
No, but I was in the now shop and there was a girl next to me
talking about some money that they were given from someone, like a charitable donation.
Right.
And she, they were talking about, she was on the phone to her colleague talking about
how they were going to spend it.
So again, it depends on they might say, well, we really need to do it.
up the playground.
Or they might say
we want to invest and buy
devices.
No, but I also had a message saying
some schools say,
oh, you need to have this
and you have to pay for it.
Really?
I don't know where that one is.
I'm not stuck, yeah.
I mean, I think private schools,
yeah, but state schools,
I think you'll find a lot
do not have the funds for that.
No, well, they might have stuff at school,
but not.
Look at that.
They should have a lot in the area.
And maybe it's down to councils
and what you say, money.
Interesting.
Oh, talking of
old Killian,
Killion?
Killion Murphy.
Yeah.
What did you want to talk about?
I wanted to talk about because he is...
Beautiful.
Well, just a cracking gaza, aren't he?
Yeah.
Yeah, he is.
And his outlook on life is fantastic.
In fact, have you watched Peeky Blinders?
Bits of it.
A couple of series.
I'd like to go back and watch it.
You should.
I know.
I actually got really, I thought we spoke about this.
Yeah.
It got a bit much for you.
A bit violent and it was...
We re-watched it again in COVID.
That's so good.
Although I finish rivals and I am bereft.
Please don't tell me because you've now overtaken me.
I've finished it.
There's only six episodes in the second series.
There's new episodes coming out mid-November, apparently.
It's like, I'm addicted.
I'm not sure it's for me.
Oh, Elliot, it's so good.
It's brilliant.
Really?
I've got a lot.
I'm trying to catch up on theseenders.
I've got about 15 to go.
You must do that because it's fantastic.
I need to watch the gentleman.
Oh, fuck that.
Oh, nice.
Amazing.
Oh, see, I didn't finish the first series.
Oh, it's amazing.
Really?
And this is meant to be unbelievable.
Okay, if I do that, then you have to do that.
Yeah.
Have you started the second series?
No.
No.
Just quickly.
The second episode of the second series.
Yeah.
I can't like you to talk to me about it.
Oh, I know what you're going to say.
Fucking genius.
What?
Pam St Clement.
Oh, my God, I forgot about that.
Oh, it's not that.
What the fuck is that?
Well, Dom, who writes it.
No, no, no, guys.
No, go on.
What do you mean?
What are you know?
Is it AI?
No, she's dead
She isn't
That's Pat
Is that a name?
Pet, pet, pet, pet
Are you winding me up?
Pet, pet, pet, pet, pet, pet, pet
Are you wanting me up?
No, Pam's still alive and well, thank you.
What, you thought she was dead?
I was like, what the fuck is going on here?
I thought she had passed.
Can't do it again.
Chico, now Pam.
That's out of order.
Now, that's actually.
freak me out.
Because I watched it and I was like, what is going on?
And everybody was blaming was like, is that Pat?
And I was like, I had to rewind it.
I said, that's fucking Pat.
I said, that must be AI.
That must be AI generated.
What she?
Oh, she looks amazing.
It looks so real.
Stupid idiot.
I can't get over that.
But excuse me, what's she doing?
Where is she?
What do you mean?
Where is she?
She's the lighter and aging.
Oh, I'm just enjoying her life.
Enjoying her life.
She lefty standards.
And she's enjoying her life.
And Dom's obviously said,
would you like to come and do a day with us?
I can't.
I can't get her a dope.
How old is she?
Don't know.
I can't get that.
In her 80s.
That's unbelievable.
She does that.
Good, isn't it?
But anyway, so that,
but no, the second series,
the second episode in second series,
genius,
whoever come up with that.
I thought of another program.
before you earlier,
which I know that you will now watch
because you believe my recommendations.
I mean, it's mad, the girl that don't watch TV.
Oh, I downloaded like two series of Here We Go,
I didn't watch one.
I didn't really get time.
That's fine.
Linda do need to.
No, quality over quantity.
I only watch certain things, as you know.
No, I can't remember.
No, it was only today that I was thinking about it.
I can't, I can't go over that.
No, Elliot.
So, Kili and Mo.
Murphy says, I have Romo, relief of missing out.
No.
That is.
But I don't really get it.
What's it?
What's it?
What's it?
The relief of not going out.
Oh, sorry, just quickly while I think of it.
Talking of weird people turning up in random programmes.
Oh, Tony.
I know Tony.
What's he named Tony Way?
Tony Way.
I sent it to that.
I said, who's in his stend?
Thank you.
And again, I thought, am I going mad here?
I went to Jack.
That's baby, isn't it?
It was like, it can't be in.
Then you come in the pub and I was like, I'm sure it's him.
What's he doing?
Can you ask you?
A little cameo.
Lovely job.
Anyway, I was just going to say that.
Romo.
Romo.
I just like it.
Yeah, I agree.
Because I have Romo.
It's sort of...
But what?
I don't really understand.
No, but you know sometimes you don't want to do something and you actually do just say,
do know what, I can't come?
And then at the time when that's happening,
happening, you're sat at home thinking I'm so glad I said no to that.
That's what it is.
I can definitely get on board with that.
It's good.
It is good.
Romo.
I like it a lot.
Maria's not buying it.
No, I don't, yeah, I don't really get it because it's like...
It's the relief of not ever doing something that you don't want to do.
And also...
I think that comes with age.
No, I don't think so.
I do.
Maybe.
I do.
But I think, yeah, but I'm like, what do you mean?
Why is that?
If you got invited to something and then if you want to go, you'd go.
Well, no, but the point is you might.
No, no, it is different.
He doesn't want to go anywhere.
Right.
He says, I don't want to go anywhere.
Right.
I love being at home.
My life is very simple.
I read a lot of books.
I watch a lot of films.
I listen to a lot of music.
I walk the dog and I cook with my family.
Lovely.
Cracking.
Yeah, but he doesn't go to a lot of.
He's not into all the faint.
He doesn't go to a lot of things.
No, that's what you're saying.
But I think also the relief of missing out thing could be a,
you're doing something on a Friday.
So actually you don't want to go out again on a Saturday,
but it's a big event, but you might turn around and say,
do you know what, I can't make it?
And in that time, being, I feel relieved that I did make that decision
because you could have gone, oh, I should go.
I should go.
but actually you don't really want to,
you're doing it just to please everyone else,
not for yourself.
Yeah, yeah.
No, it's good.
Anyway, Romo, I like it.
A lot.
Crack him.
Fantastic.
Yeah, I don't really get FOMO anymore.
Only if, like, I'd get it if, like, say, a concert
that you didn't go to,
I'm like, oh, could have got, should have got tickets for that?
Yeah.
Yeah.
I can get things like that.
Oh, that's different.
I'm talking about...
Yeah, like, Bruno Mars.
I was like gutted we didn't go.
Yeah.
But there's not.
Not really, yeah, if anything, I never think, oh.
No, because if I wanted to go, I'd go.
But that's FOMO, not Romo.
It's not.
It's, that's fear of missing out.
No, I'm saying, if I wanted to go, I would go.
Yeah.
So, it's not really.
It's more like if you didn't get invited.
Say you didn't get invited to something,
but then you saw everyone else was out, but you didn't get invited.
Yeah, lovely.
Really?
Just don't ever invite me anywhere, super.
Oh, fine, perfect.
I never ever think, no, I don't ever think.
Oh, I'd quite like to go to that.
I love going, if I get invited somewhere that I want to go with people that I love, that's great.
Yeah, that's different.
But I wouldn't ever go, I don't know.
I don't know.
Can't think of something.
There's, you guys are all going to go out.
I never think, oh, I didn't get an invite.
Do you what I mean?
I think lovely, you're all going somewhere.
That's lovely.
Yeah, but you're not.
You're a bit weird.
No, but it doesn't.
Yeah, you don't.
Well, I don't know.
I don't know how to put it.
You like being at home.
What made me laugh was Elia messaging me this morning at fucking half-past six.
Go on.
What are you doing for Christmas with the kids?
No, it wasn't this morning.
That was yesterday.
It was early, though, isn't it?
No, this morning I'd text you about...
She would just make me like, are you staying at Mum's Christmas Eve?
No.
I was like, oh, she's trying to figure it out.
I'm like, I booked it ages ago.
Because you're thinking about what to...
No, just want to know what I'm doing.
No, I asked you about what...
Father Christmas, that's what I asked you about this morning.
Because I was looking at stuff to do...
And I don't want to book something.
Can they go, oh, you haven't...
No, but she was a bit like, oh, I looked at this,
but it's already nearly booked up.
Yeah, it's September.
They've got like 6pm.
I can't do that.
But do you know what?
With James, it's really not that deep.
We can go somewhere local, have a nice lunch.
It's easy.
But, yeah, it's just mad.
You've got a...
August. You've got to get it in.
August. I've got my thing.
Yeah, well, that one's different.
But some of these other ones, not really.
Yeah, but you'd be surprised.
The old Panto's doing well as well. I couldn't believe it.
Again, people just get organised for that time of year.
Yeah, but you need to be because people have workings on, family things.
And then, yeah, they're trying to fit everything in that they do.
I have no plans.
She's lovely.
I don't want it to stay that way.
I'm on stage.
I know.
Oh, God.
Yeah.
That'll be me.
It's lovely, but it's just, again,
It's that thing of like everyone then wants to fit everything into that time period.
I have to say, the closer I am coming to it, I'm really looking forward to going, I'm not around.
I'm at work.
Why?
What do you do do you do stuff at Christmas.
There is stuff that you get invited to.
There is, or drinks with people.
You know, there is.
Even hosting a couple of things.
Yeah.
And actually, I'm not going to do anything.
Oh, great.
Oh, Christmas Day.
Be lovely.
New Year's Day.
All the New Year's Day.
I'm on a Jackie Jones here.
Marks at work.
New Year's Day.
So that would be nice.
Perhaps we could do something then, but yeah.
Yeah.
Nice.
Cracking.
You put a little message in your angel, didn't you?
From Jane.
I was actually a spice girl.
I know.
My surname was spice.
Oh, brilliant.
At the height of Spice Girl Mania,
my dad had people phoning him up and asking if he had any little spice girls for some promotional thing.
they found his name in the phone book.
That is brilliant.
By that time, I was grown up and left home.
I said I would not have changed mine.
I replied to Jane.
There's no way I would have been changing my name when I got married.
It's true.
That's great.
Mrs. Spice.
Because we had some comments actually on the thing that made me laugh.
Because I said, what do my Spice girl name be?
Yes, not Moody Spice.
Victoria already stole that one.
Oh.
She did though, didn't she?
Someone put well-old spice.
Maybe that was for you, not for me.
Probably, unless they're calling you a dog.
Wow.
Emma said, I want to be the first Nats nieces,
let alone the sixth spice girl.
Well, from our singing video that me and your mum did
and people loved our little mash-up whilst you're away.
It was really nice, so definitely nice to mix it up a little bit.
Definitely, every now and again, it's excellent.
We'll do a Mother's Day one, all of us.
We had a couple of people say you should definitely be on the X-Factor.
We're okay, I think.
We're all right.
It's very kind of.
you.
Been there, done that,
got the T-shirt
for some of us.
Went there
a couple of times
actually, went down there.
That was Sharon Osborne
if I remember.
It's quite good.
First of October
Traitors
on the telly.
Not long?
No.
And Eliza's at a theatre
trip
and I've got to pick her up
at 11.15pm.
Works perfectly,
isn't it?
Because I'll be watching
the traitors.
You know when things just
work out well?
When does it start?
The first of October.
Not the celebrity.
one.
Yes.
Oh, it's the non-celebrity one
in January.
Romesh.
Rob Beckett.
Yeah, no.
It'll be good.
It'll be funny,
when it?
I feel like
where are they going to go
with it with the traces?
Well, I met someone.
Big dog, didn't they last time?
Yeah, big dog.
And I have to say that I was with two people
that were in it yesterday.
Oh.
And obviously they were very,
didn't say anything,
but said that they had an excellent time
And it's a very, very difficult game.
Yeah.
I can't wait to watch.
Yeah.
Did you see the NTAs?
What they did for Alan Carr?
Of course.
How funny was that?
Absolutely brilliant.
Oh, Elio, you must watch it.
They did, um...
Oh, no, you can on just...
On Instagram, yeah.
It was, um, he got the, what was it, special achievement?
Yeah, sort of like the achievement award for it.
And Amanda Holden.
Did she sing?
Oh, I have seen it.
And then...
Paloma.
Poloma.
Kate Galloway.
Brilliant.
Oh, yeah.
It was very good.
Really clever.
Really funny.
Interestingly, when...
I get what Alan said
because he said,
I'm so stupid
until I saw Paloma
I didn't realize
it was for me.
Oh, really?
What Amanda Holden?
I thought it was Simon Cow at first.
Oh, really?
And then when Palom popped out
the...
Oh, yeah.
I won't say, yeah,
very, very funny.
And he was brilliant.
He's so lovely.
It was really emotional.
And I can't wait for strictly.
Yeah.
Yes.
Did you see Lacey her little shoot in, it's beautiful, didn't she?
Yeah, absolutely beautiful.
When does that start?
Very soon.
Is it not Big Brother?
No, I can't do it.
That was a night I was in Manchester, the live launch, and I watched a few people go in.
Angry Ginger's in it?
No.
No.
She's bugged.
I quite like the look of it.
Are you sure?
No, because it's not a celebrity.
He's fucking is, isn't it?
No, he's not.
I think they did something in the house before it started
or something with a few people.
I mean, how am I meant to know this is enough?
But yeah.
I like it when it's civilians, as they say.
When I saw a few of them going in, I thought...
I've seen a bust up already.
I really.
I saw it on social media.
I've just got a lot to watch.
And I thought it's quite good.
Gemma Collins.
Yeah.
The Q thing coming out.
Out.
Is it out?
It was on my sky today.
Oh, good.
Lovely.
I'm not going to watch that.
It's not going to happen.
No, I just...
There's a lot of Master Chef I need to watch.
I need to just get three-stenders.
I need to get up today because I hear it's been all kicking off.
It's so good.
Oh, it's been sad.
Has it?
Oh, I have to say, the wedding with Tamika.
I know.
What's her name in it?
Kim.
I always forget her name in it.
I know.
Kim and...
Howie.
Howie.
Well done.
Thank you.
Well done.
In the hospital with Denise.
Oh, I saw it.
I saw it because Eliza's back on it.
She's called up for Christmas.
It was really sad.
Oh.
Yeah, you got it.
I'm catching up.
Yeah, it's good.
What are the old Christmas specials?
We're going to get another Amandaland one, do we think?
Oh, probably.
I'd say so.
Yeah.
Yeah, definitely.
We'll start hearing about those soon, definitely.
We've got a here we go, Christmas.
Oh, perfect.
Yeah.
I'm sure someone said to me,
could it be a hundred days until Christmas?
Yes.
Something like that?
Quite easily, yeah.
Well, what month from me?
It's September or the time of November, December.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Wouldn't be far off it.
Maybe not a hundred.
Yeah, I start pantone about nine and a half weeks, not that I'm counting.
We've got quite a lot of pods to do.
Just to let you know.
We, we as a collective, have got to double up.
So I don't know how we're going to do this, but we do need to actually sit down and take some time.
All the best.
I don't have a job.
We do need to go.
It's 58 minutes.
But one thing.
I've got, no, two things.
Oh, good.
Oh, sorry.
Wow.
No, she's just all right.
It's like to let it.
It's just all coming out tonight.
Two things.
Yes.
Following on from Thursday's pod very quickly.
What's that?
What is the most useless?
Because I asked a couple of listeners, right, on Thursday.
And I thought, I must ask you, babe.
I'm following on.
I've turned in earlier.
What is the most useless thing you've bought?
as a kitchen appliance that's in the cupboard and you never use?
Pestil and mortar.
I was going to say that.
A little cute one I got from Sastrian Green.
Pescel and mortar.
I've got a cake mixer thing.
I've got a food processor thing and a blender.
Don't use any of them.
Fair enough.
Just asking.
It's one that's thrown out there and people like that.
But you've got loads of shit.
What I would also say is I bought the Ninja Foodie,
which is like a seven in one.
all I do is air fry.
I don't steam.
I don't pressure cook.
I go into the boys and got mum to buy me.
I don't slow cook.
I don't like things in the slow cooker.
I love the idea of it.
It goes watery.
But then because it does,
you could then put it on more like a bake
so it thickens up.
But anyway, I'm not doing it.
It's just air fryer.
That's a waste of time.
Fair enough.
I don't really got much stuff.
You've not got one of those like,
like, you know, like one of those cheese slices.
What's that?
What's that?
That was my, what a mandolin.
Is it a mandolin?
No, a mandolin is an instrument, isn't it?
Yeah, like a cheek.
It's like a triangle when you do that.
But it's very sharp, isn't it?
Oh no, I've got like a plastic thing with a, yeah, they're right, don't use that.
It's not a mandolin.
That is an instrument.
That is a string, like a vand, isn't it?
That's like a, that's it, like a little.
Like a ding ding, dang.
I can picture a little gesture.
No, it is a mandolin slicer?
Is it?
What are we thinking?
But it isn't what we think that?
But it isn't what we think that?
It isn't what we're saying.
But that's what I've got.
It's very, very sharp and it's got a box.
And you'll slash your finger off.
The handle will be off.
I think it's just called a cheese slicer like that.
Let you see?
Oh, you always get one in like a cheese kit.
It reminds me of mum and dad.
But I just use a knife to cut the cheese.
Yeah, fair enough.
I just wanted to ask you both.
Thank you.
Okay.
You're welcome.
Good story.
Thank you.
Another thing I want to say on here, because I haven't done yet,
book club is coming back to the main feed.
But a few messages, again, people are like,
oh, I haven't joined Patreon.
I get it.
It's very niche anyway.
So I'm going to do a little bonus set,
throw it out within the week.
And the next book is
Everything I Know About Love by Dolly Auditon.
You've both got a copy.
Excellent.
Please.
It's meant to be really, really good.
And what I said was,
it's also a Netflix series.
So if people haven't read,
but they've watched,
let me know what you thought of the series.
and I thought it just might be nice for people
if you want to watch the series
or read the book.
It's just a special little month.
What sort of vibe?
It's all about friends.
It's all quite chick flicky, I think,
but it's meant to be really, really good.
Why is the writing crossed out?
Mum actually said, oh, is it meant to be like that?
I said, well, yeah, Natalie hasn't done it on four books.
It's, why is it, squibbled out?
What's the...
Because it says everything I know about parties, dates,
friends, jobs, life, love,
but it's all about her life.
It sounds like she doesn't know much about the others.
It's really lovely. It's her autobiography.
Oh.
Oh, it's real.
You didn't say that?
I believe, yeah.
It's not an autobiography.
Yeah, no, it is.
Autobiography of the year, 2018.
So it's quite old, but it's all about her and her life,
and it's meant to be really, really good.
Who is said person?
Dolly Auderton.
I mean, it's all well and good, but you've introduced me to bubble bollocks.
Oh, bubble word jam!
So when's their time to do all this stuff?
I've calmed it down with the bubble word jam.
I was obsessed with it.
I've calmed down a little bit.
Thank you, everybody,
because you have all said that you've been playing.
I'm obsessed.
What level are you on?
No, not like you really are.
You've been on holiday.
Yeah, it does make a difference.
See, I was Holly Bob.
I'm like, I'm on expert level.
I'm like, mine says that.
No, I'm saying my next level is an expert level.
What does that mean?
No, it doesn't.
Level 1, 28.
What are you talking about?
What are you talking about?
Mine will go expert level.
No, you have level.
Yeah, and then green is just a normal level.
Yeah, level, normal.
That's what I'm saying.
saying.
Oh, but what?
They just change it out?
Yeah, of course.
Because it wants you to trip up, because at the moment I'm on a wind streak and I've got extra
questions.
Is it cheating if you Google the word?
I Google the words.
See, I never did until I heard a sudden someone.
I did do it a few times.
If you don't know what the word means, how can you do it?
That's ridiculous.
Sometimes I guess.
Yeah, I do.
Do you play the calendar?
Yes.
No.
What's that?
You get daily tasks.
Whoa.
I'm on level 207.
I've loved.
I've unleadabled.
I've unleadable.
Well, as usual, I'm not playing the game properly then, am I?
There are loads of stuff to do.
I don't think I'm playing the calendar.
Oh, wow.
I'm playing level one, four eight.
This is the Treasure Cove where you have to, you win.
I don't know.
Anyway, it's a lot of going on.
Yes, you have down here.
Where?
Oh, yeah.
Fucking, I would be absolutely loaded.
I can't believe this.
How much money you got?
You look of shit.
I spent a bit the other day two,
Two and a half thousand.
Yeah, same.
Sorry.
How much have you got?
850.
Well, you obviously spend it a lot.
I want to get the new lights because you use it to get loads.
Well, 850 coins?
Yeah.
Well, you must use it to get used a booster at the bottom.
That's embarrassing.
I don't feel like I do really.
Well, no, you were.
I'm on level 207 just in case you didn't hear me the first time.
Still can't catch up with Kat though.
Where is she?
That's wild.
I think she was like too.
That is wild.
Or well, listen, I'm just pleased to hear that the levels continue because I love it,
but I'm not playing it all the time.
I can't do that.
I just can't.
Although, brilliant to do rather than scrolling, rather be playing a game.
Yeah, that's why I don't really do.
I don't really do.
That's all I do is play games.
It's got to be good for your brain.
It has, definitely.
I know not all the times.
No, but especially that way when it's words.
And also, you're finding out new words.
Yes.
I can't really remember them.
No, see, I do try and you see them, fucking, that's the only thing.
You see them all the time.
Tell me one.
Tell me a group.
Ancient ruins.
Clothes?
No, do you?
The one that always comes up is like sphinx, pharaoh, you know, all the Egypt.
So Egypt items.
Well, you do know what are sphinx?
No, I do.
I'm just some ones that come up a lot.
How about I have some very, there's some mad ones.
How about when it's like...
Sometimes it annoys me when I don't even know what the word is,
but there's another weird word you know.
Yeah, and then you just pop on me ever.
But stuff like T-34, it's sort of mad submarines or, you know, mad ones.
Yeah. It's great.
It's good.
But I do love it when I caught on.
But then some things annoy me and it's like...
Trichita.
Things that are round.
But it's like an egg.
A bottle, like just right...
I know.
Yeah.
And the toys, toys really annoys me.
There's always puzzle on blocks in there.
Yeah.
Or yo-yo.
Change it up a bit.
Yo-yo.
There's quite a lot of toys.
Stripes, like zebra.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
Anyway.
No, it's good.
Hey, ho.
Thank you both.
Peace out, honey, Paul.
Nice to see you.
Nice to see you.
Nice, nice, nice.
Oh, you don't need to highlight it anymore.
Okay.
O'Du7-8, 20, 1919.
Send us your messages,
missed your elves and we're back for the Burr months.
The bitches are back.
In the Burr months.
It's October soon.
We got the brunch.
We need to sort that out.
Bye.
Bye-bye.
No.
