I'm good. Feeling great.
What day is it today? When?
No, Friday.
Yeah, so what are we?
Nearly, what, ten, what is it, ten days?
Longer.
No.
Twelve days.
Yeah, I don't know what day what is it 10 days longer no 12 days yeah i don't i don't know what day is well little james was born on the 7th of october and we are now the 18th so 11 days 11 days yeah
no i feel really good he's sleeping right now he sure is my friends here sat with him in the
other room anyone wonders um you've done so well i'm
so proud of you oh thank you it's just been the best couple of weeks it has it's just amazing like
yeah just the best feeling in the world and like you said no one can prepare you for it can't they
and i don't yeah i think you can say to people like, you know, oh, it's the best feeling in the world.
And you're like, oh, is it?
But actually, when you do it, yeah, it's indescribable, as Ariel would say.
And, yeah, just a little bit, how are you feeling?
Like, everyone wants to know, did you have a good time?
Are you all okay?
Yeah, yeah.
I mean, it wasn't how i maybe thought it would
look these things aren't planned are they but um not how i thought it would go well maybe i did
think it would go that way i went over to the hospital a little bit earlier than planned just
for a check-up that was on the tuesday so i was just i was just 38 weeks and bloody kept you in didn't they kept me
in so I went in for a little check they then got me a scan for the same day I left popped out for
a couple of hours met my friend had a bit of lunch uh she was quite adamant they'd keep me in because
she's been in that situation so she said this might be our last lunch just the two of us for a while and then went back had my scan and yeah they said right you're staying uh well obviously i i
had a you know i had a choice they didn't force me no of course but you know taking the expert's
advice they yeah they said we we want to keep you in and induce you so we went ahead and what six days later we ended up
with a c-section um so that was on monday the 7th so yeah we had a long a bit of a stint
but he came out the sunroof absolutely perfect i mean absolutely and that's the main thing
you're safe he's as long as he's safe and yeah i'm safe i guess it's um that's all that matters i always think
people have such kind of plans i did not i didn't honestly people like oh do you want a water birth
yeah do you want to do this do you want that and i you know i was like if i'm on the labor ward if
i'm in birthing unit if i'm in the water honestly i don't i you know i'm saying was sort of breast
feeding i said i never wanted to breastfeed
and now i'm absolutely loving it so similar with a water birth thing i was like oh no that's not
for me but if i'd have got to that stage then maybe i would have loved it i genuinely didn't
of course my plan wasn't to be induced and be sat in hospital for six days to then end up with a
c-section but these things happened yeah you know it didn't work
for whatever reason he was very comfortable in there bless him um and then yeah he was born at
39 weeks so we got an extra week with him born on the 7th my lovely number mine and mum's number
lucky number and uh yeah honestly just everything is perfect i'm just happy he's here now you know
thinking about how long i was in hospital for obviously that was a bit of a slog but
now you just don't even think about that it doesn't matter it's irrelevant yeah you're done
now in your home and even even when he was born on the monday it was like i don't you know the
rest forget about everything else it's so true you know you're like oh it'd be quite nice near the weekend because Jack would be
home and yeah all that goes out the window it all fell into place it was you know it worked and
you know we had that lovely week together family's been amazing you've been amazing
no and it's true you know you've been around mum's. No, and it's true. You know, you've been around. Mum's been incredible.
Like, between everyone, this house is immaculate.
Everything is washed.
I mean, it's more immaculate than when I'm here on my own.
I was actually thinking I might knock out a baby
just so the house can be cleaned by your mum,
but I don't know.
I don't know if it'll work.
Honestly, she is just the best.
When I come in the other day, I can't explain.
Should we?
We need to ring Maria.
Yeah, let's phone her.
Yeah, yeah.
Maria's working from home.
Maria's coming to cook for me tonight, for us tonight.
Here we go.
Let's get her on the old bar.
Get her in.
I can't really hear that.
Hello.
Hello, darling.
Hello, you all right? Yeah, you're right yeah you're okay we've been rambling on and i said oh
we need to quickly we need to get you on all right oh you're doing it oh okay hi um hi you're
too all right yeah i was just i was just running through where we're at well yeah now we're here
and everything's amazing we're actually
just saying about mum and how amazing she is and the house is the tidiest it's ever been she don't
stop washing and um but no everyone get used to it don't or do oh no no but honestly everyone like
friends family jack's family like just everyone just gets involved and
just comes in and just treats it like their own home which i love as well yeah i know that that's
not gonna that's not forever but i'll appreciate it for now you know it's like it while it lasts
exactly and it's not easy like when you've had a c-section that is frustrating like i don't know
you know i'm sure other people will appreciate it but and now you've done it but it's hard that you can't just jump up
out of bed and do something or and even if you feel okay to do it i'm conscious that i've been
up quite a lot this morning and you don't want to keep getting and then you think oh god you know
people do say you really need and even if you feel all right you do need
to take it easy you do you do i hear you're cooking a bit of dinner tonight row row around here i
thought i was but i don't know i don't know if i'm cooking or juicing no i've put it on because
it's a chili you can't cook a chili at four of our four to eat at seven in my opinion that's got
to cook for a good few hours so i put that on
and then maria can come and do all the work i imagine do the wedgies do all the bits and bobs
super how's your day going babe yeah all right babe thank you it's busy yeah um yeah but nearly
finished so that's good lovely um yeah it's been a it's been a long but quick week at the same time. Excellent.
And how are you feeling about being an auntie again?
Yeah, the best.
I've missed him so much this week.
I mean, Eddie is absolutely smashing it.
It's like he's in a routine already.
Yeah.
For now.
Crazy.
Well, yeah, I know.
I don't want to sound neggy because she's doing such a good job.
But, yeah, it could all change and it
probably will you say that you're slept no i was lucky to be fair that only ruby was the best
alfie was really good it was only until he started teething i would have a bit of a but i mean no i
cannot complain at all yes and maybe i've nailed it early days absolutely fingers crossed but he's
a little angel isn't he no he is even now he's fingers crossed. But he's a little angel, isn't he?
No, he is.
Even now, he's just, I mean, it took me a little bit to settle him,
but once he's had enough milk, he's happy, he's down.
He went down about half 12, so it's excellent.
He's had nearly a couple of hours.
100% he's going to wake up in a minute, though.
Definitely.
I can't wait to have a proper cuddle with him tonight oh and
that's the other thing like when there's so many people like it's lovely and i you know of course
but it's nice then to have just your pockets of time where people can just appreciate you know
whether that's even mum or jack's mum like to have those little moments together like maria this will
probably be the first time it's just you and you can actually
enjoy it yeah that's right if your children allow you to yeah this is it isn't it but
no they're good as a lot of but actually some people i know of people that once they've had
their babies yeah they they say to people i don't want anyone around i mean okay not immediate
family but again now family's quite intense but they do say we want some time you know on our own before people can come around
and all loads of people have said to me you know we can't wait to meet him but of course that's not
even something we're gonna ask right now absolutely you know they're very conscious of
waiting for me to to feel you know like I'm ready and I'm sort of like oh no it's fine you
know come over next week a couple of the girls and they're like oh my god really you know I know
but you know what I find mad and I wonder if you're gonna feel like this I don't know if you
felt like this Maria but when I look back uh say Joanie because it's only five years ago sorry
eight years it is eight years ago but when I look back it is a blur to me
I was saying to Mark did people come early
I can't remember
you said we were in the garden
and you had friends round
I remember being in the garden
being at the back
you had the decking at the back
I remember sitting there
I thought it was only you guys who came round for the first week
I don't think I had anyone else I thought it was only you guys who came around for the first week. I don't think I had anyone else.
Yeah, close friends.
This is the thing. It ends up, it's
you don't want it all at once, but then
it ends up being staggered so it can go on for quite
a long time, which is lovely. And then it's just
we've got a lot of family and friends. I mean, we shouldn't
moan. It's absolutely lovely.
Where we are mental
is like, I did it.
We have done it a bit earlier. We did it a lot at annalisa's
now i think back and i think it's because i just had a big newborn as well it's the everyone there
everyone the cooking it's crazy but it's lovely there's some people that i'm sure would
love to to be surrounded by that and i'm sure there's other people that quite like the space.
Yeah.
And look,
I'm the same.
I like both.
I love,
you know,
last night it was just me and Jack.
I think that was the first night because mum had left me at like three o'clock and I had the afternoon,
Aoife popped in.
But then I had the afternoon and we just chilled and then Jack got home.
And that's also really nice as well
but it's you know they're both nice it's just again it's not overloading on either no because
that's the other thing going from all to nothing is having everyone here and then having nobody
around you know you could go a week and not see anyone and i think again for me where where i live
and also not being able to drive you know I think in
a few weeks if that if it does all die down I know I think I will struggle with that because
I'm around the corner though no no I know you are but then I'm but I'll be working but it's
different for everyone you know Maria's the same but she's working people and I'm sure Maria can
come and work from here or popping on her lunch or whatever but and other people will do
that and mum will probably say I'll have her the half
day but my point is you have to get
to that reality but I can't
just think if I was able
to drive I would be like after four weeks
that's only a few weeks away
well four weeks
I've still got
is he not
no we're only 11 days
oh he's two weeks
on Monday
yeah
so you know
what I'm saying is
in any other
circumstance
I reckon in
by three
by week three
week four
I'd be more than
happy to jump in
the car and
nip to somewhere
sooner than that
so you'd be doing
it now
well yeah
well already
I'm sort of doing
a few
I'm walking on
my own outside
but because
you know
it's more about going I might just nip to Sainsbury's or just nip into town and just have
a mooch around and get you know you feel whereas because I can't do that I think that's when I'll
struggle so for me having that staggered is quite nice but again I've got a lot of people around
that I know you know would come and work from here or just pop in. So I'll just make sure that I'm vocal about that.
And, you know, by the afternoons, I do feel a bit like always nice.
I mean, Maria, you know what cracks me up?
She's talking as if this isn't normal anyway.
She can't fucking be on her own for two minutes.
Yeah, it's true.
She's blaming the baby and the operation.
It's half term soon anyway.
You can have the kids if you want.
Oh, yeah, likely.
That'll be good.
Oh, my God, I forgot it's half term.
I need to sort that out.
Are we going to do something at Halloween night at mine?
Yeah, what are we doing?
Well, I think we should just go trick-or-treating
because it's nice, isn't it?
What day is that?
Can I be around?
Of course.
It'll be dark and cold.
It's Halloween, Ellie.
What day do you think it is?
No, but are you doing something during the day or just the evening? No, no around of course it'll be dark it's Halloween what day do you think it is no but are you doing
something during the day
or just the evening
no it'll be evening
oh fine
but it'll be dark by then
no yeah I can't
I can't
it's too cold
bring him out
no not bring him out
but you can come round
after the trick or treating
and see how you feel
yeah
it's nice
it's not for another
two weeks anyway
so you might fancy that
it's the 31st isn't it yeah I can't think well that's not next week I don't even know you might fancy that. It's the 31st, isn't it?
Yeah, I can't think.
Well, that's not next week.
I don't even know what day it is.
It's a Thursday.
Thank you.
It's a Thursday.
But yeah, Maria, I just thought it'd be nice if we can get the kids dressed up,
have a little wander, and then I might do some apple bobbing at home.
Oh, I took Alfie Lush.
I bought Alfie with you, didn't I?
Yes, you did.
Have you got, I've got to get dressing up stuff, really.
I've got a box of stuff. I'm getting it out tomorrow because I want to decorate, so I'll. Have you got... I've got to get dressing up stuff, really. I've got a box of stuff.
I'm getting it out tomorrow because I want to decorate,
so I'll have a look at what I've got.
I'm sure you've got enough shit between you.
Yeah, I'm sure I've got stuff.
No, fine.
We'll work it out, or I'll get it.
It's fine.
I got my new car, didn't I?
Looks lovely.
Yeah.
Very nice.
It looks like...
I'm obsessed with this car.
It's all I've heard.
Fucking hell.
What do you mean?
Are you obsessed with your baby?
Baby car.
Can I just say that from the...
It's good having a new car.
It's excellent.
It is nice.
I couldn't care less about cars.
But looking at yours yours it looks like an
evoke from the side well it's funny you should say that why because i'm not going to badmouth
the council but i am because they've given me parking tickets and i don't deserve them
but he's put on there that the make is a range rover. Oh, wow. Joke's on him.
Oh, that's annoying.
Yeah, no, it does a bit, doesn't it?
Yeah, no, I'm really pleased with it.
It's lovely.
Good.
Lovely, well done.
I haven't really driven it, though,
so I'm looking forward to driving it.
I can drive it 10 years later,
so that'll be nice.
Yeah, I hope so.
How else was you planning to get here?
Yeah, no, it's true.
She was going to get on her broomstick
that time of year, wasn't it?
I couldn't do it, though,
because I ordered the kids' new car seats because I just wanted everything new. Yeah, definitely. true. She was going to get on her broomstick that time of year, wasn't it? I don't know, because I ordered the kids' new car seats
because I just wanted everything new.
Yeah, definitely.
They've not arrived.
And then I emailed the company and they're like,
oh, they've been delayed.
We can send you another colour.
I said, I don't want another colour.
Was you going to let me know?
That's annoying.
Well, you'll have them soon.
No, I know.
I've had to put the old ones in there and I didn't want to do that it's okay it'll be fine maria i've had my first blow dry
i've had a right pamper this
so did i so you mind the scarf bending down and all that oh my god please really Please, really? Honestly, you lot. Well, that's out of order.
Jenna came and done my hair.
I've got all my colour done.
Sorry, Bex.
You're out of action.
How lovely, Bex.
She's not.
I've actually booked her in for Tuesday, so.
Sorry.
Is she joking?
I've been messaging every day, you know, little baby bubble.
Right, that's it.
Have you actually? No, my hair is, that's it. Have you actually?
No, my hair is, it's the pits.
It's so bad.
I mean, it's like, yeah, it's bad.
I've had half a head of extensions because they've all fallen out.
So Beck's coming to do it?
Yes.
Wow.
Correct.
Oh, good.
No, Jenna, to be honest, I didn't, it wasn't planned.
Jenna was coming over and she said, let me do you a little blow dry. So that's nice.
How does that feel? Feels lovely. I had my lashes done yesterday.
You should have got Natalie to do your blow dry. Nah, I'm all right. I'm all right. I'll save that for a real desperate time.
I mean, she's had her lashes done. No, what was funny is I nipped in here yesterday morning to give her some porridge. Your mum was here.
And the bed's out out Demi's here
she's getting all the lashes done
the porridge is so good
that M&S porridge
that's a real shame actually
what is?
I need Demi
no but what I was going to say
is I walked in here
and I looked
absolutely horrendous
there's a woman
who's given birth
ten days ago
and she went to me
car you look awful
and I thought
I can't believe this
she's had a baby
ten days ago
and she looks all glamorous
with her lashes
and I look like a bag of shit.
What's going on?
No, you did.
Something's going on.
No, I did.
I felt a bit bad after because,
but you did look really bad.
No, I know.
You were quite serious about it.
You said the moon or something though.
Yeah, it drained the life out of me.
But you had no colour in your face.
You haven't got makeup on now, have you?
No.
Because you've just had a shower here
because you've done your hair.
So you had no colour. Like now, you've got ros. Because you've just had a shower here because you've done your hair. So you had no colour.
Like now, you've got rosy cheek.
You've got a bit of a glow.
Yesterday, you looked like a corpse.
I thought it was Halloween had come early.
It was really bad.
I'm telling you, the moon drains the life out of me.
I'm not joking.
Definitely.
I should have got a photo because it weren't great.
But I'm pleased that you look better today.
Yeah, I feel half normal today.
I had an hour and a half nap yesterday at two, half one,
and then I went to bed at half ten and slept for eight and a half hours.
Yeah, well, you obviously needed it.
Yeah, you're obviously just exhausted.
I know.
But, yeah, no.
You've had a busy few weeks, haven't you?
Yeah, it's true.
Yeah, it's true.
That is true.
But, yeah, no, so Demi, I had that booked in anyway,
whether I was sort of pregnant or, you know,
we weren't sure what was going to be the case.
So we kept that in.
Baby had, mum had the baby.
He had a lovely nap for her.
Had my lashes done.
And then, yeah, today Jenna's done my hair, so.
Maria, what about the video of him smiling?
I know, bless his heart.
So cute.
Oh, you haven't mentioned all the names and stuff.
Tell me about the name. People want to hear it. They're all busting my balls. Hold on, I've got a delivery. One sec. smiling i know bless his heart so cute oh you haven't mentioned all the names and stuff tell
me about the name people want to hear it they're all busting my balls oh here we go sit the car
seat part of the table car parking ticket no mum said mum was like Considering when Wig Ow Yeah
My wig
What else quick
I'm sending back
Because she's got big feet
She's got such big feet
Ruby
Love her little heart
Has she
They're like boats
What size is Ruby's foot
I've got a Sanvers
And I thought
Because I'm sure I got out
I've got Alfie's son
For his birthday
And I was like They come up quite big So I thought, because I'm sure I got Alfie some for his birthday.
And they come up quite big.
So I thought I'll get her an eight.
Too small.
So I've ordered a nine.
I'm an eight.
An eight.
What's that, bro?
Friends.
Friends.
So four of the four?
Mrs. Sibberley?
Yeah.
I've been watching Friends at night, guys.
Have you?
Because I know, you know, there was a lot of concern.
But he loves the telly on does he
and he sleeps absolutely fine friends is on you gotta get him used to the noise you can't have
all that no yeah now i had to put the telly on in the lounge to make sure he sleeps yeah it's fine
and also so that he you know he knows it's the day and he had a little he is jaundiced as well
yeah so um yeah yeah it takes a little while to go especially for breastfed babies
but um so he's been by the doors with and so it's lovely that we've had a bit of like nice light
because that's uh really good for them to to get rid of it no i haven't actually
oh good stuff but i have got some I should do that
That's a good idea actually
I just need to look it up
And understand it a bit more
Sorry you asked about the names
Yes what's his full name please
So his name is James Benny Murphy
So cute
So James is from his papa
A.k.a grandad
And uncle I guess
But that's like a yeah family
family tradition what was jack saying how long did it go back was it 1803
ring him um i've shown him let's see if he answers is it eight because he's very they're very proud and it's lovely and it's lovely that
they know that um jack yeah um which is always called james yes yeah um jack we're just doing a
pod um what tell me about the james murphy the history Goes back to 1804.
Oh, 1804.
And what was...
From doing the family tree,
we know there's been a James Murphy in the family since 1804.
Wow.
It's amazing.
You're on the pod, Jack.
So well done, Daddy.
Yeah, well done, Daddy.
Oh, Jack. So well done, Daddy. Yeah, well done, Daddy. Oh, wow.
Jack's got a lovely...
Jack's brought a lovely cold into the household.
If I'd known, he could have pre-warned me, babe.
I would have been prepared, you know what I mean?
No need, nothing to be afraid of.
Yeah, 1804, James Murphy of Wexford.
I would like to go further back to see who it see who James Murphy of Wexford's
dad is and see if there's any more Jameses
so yeah 220
the name's at least
220 years old so
happy days. And are you alright darling
you feeling good?
Apart from the cold?
Catch the common cold but no
absolutely fine
be a dad
good couple
weeks i think the baby's settled well ellie has done amazing um yeah no couldn't be any more
happier to be honest with you so oh it's brilliant lovely feeling it is a weird one when everyone
says yeah uh you can't really describe it when when your child's born and it did feel like that
the first night and i was like a bit all over the place but once you got up once you once you once you got home once
once you got home and settled yeah it's uh yeah it's a lovely feeling to have a make your own
little family when you were walking about with that syringe of colostrum and you wanted a lid
you were all over the shop weren't you
i forgot about that I could have
killed him
when we were
sitting in the
hospital that night
I did think
what have I done
to our lives
we had such a
nice life
and now I'm
walking around
with a syringe
of colostrum
and my girlfriend
wants to smash
me up
exactly
but no it was
all part of the
fun I suppose
isn't it
that's brilliant, Jack.
I'll get you on soon anyway, properly.
I know you've got a cold and I know you're at work, but we love you.
That's all right.
Thank you, guys.
See you later.
Bye, Angel.
Bye.
Bye.
Sorry, yeah, so that's the James.
And then Benny is for our non-null, which is granddad, Italian granddad.
So mum's dad, name was bernardo um and being in england and him being you know very having really only speaking speaking italian
um a lot of people couldn't really say his name or you know it was just the english version and
they called him benny they called him benny and not bernard they did call him bernard didn't they
not pete some people did money um mum and dad did your nanny and granddad my side called him
Bernard did yeah there were some it was I remember a lot of there was the odd person that called him
Benny but I remember it was later on when he wasn't very well and he had his carers they called
it they sort of really stuck that nickname so i think for me obviously it was
the last couple of years of his life that's what i probably remember more as well yeah and i just
remember them calling him benny and i loved that so we hadn't told anyone benny um and then when
mum come and met him at the hospital we told her and uh yeah she loved it and everyone's been so
lovely they're like oh the name's the
name's really nice so it's lovely yeah i do i do love benny i think it's such a cute little name
strong letters as well i like that jbm yeah it is yeah i didn't think of that is that uh
it's like acw for alfie strong yeah nice do you know what I do. Oh, yeah, well, you didn't keep the middle name tradition, though, did you?
What?
The Jam and all that.
No, well, that's it.
They're all J-A-M's.
Oh.
But then what?
Good about our thing.
Yeah, I know.
We did actually say that.
But no, I liked the Benny.
Yeah, J-B-m's nice really nice oh uncle and uncle jimbo is very very proud oh he's just sent us a photo to say he's got a new addition
to his oh he's deleted it oh well it was he's added to another photo so he's got the girls
and i've just seen there's a photo of James on there.
He's a very proud uncle.
That's very sweet.
That's lovely.
That's really lovely.
And obviously, Tony's son is James as well.
Yeah, so there's a lot of Jameses.
There's a lot of people that are like,
oh, you didn't have to name him after me,
because obviously, you know, it's more of a common name.
I think it's a nice clean strong name it
is but he he is a he will be or is a jimmy to he's not a jimmy now though because he's a baby
to me he's he's not huh little jimmy yeah no he will he definitely will be but for me i think it's
like a personality so do i like when they're a bit cheeky when they're ruby amelia
is that you know they're cheeky that's when i don't know but you don't know it just will happen
naturally you know some people he is already there he is already a jimmy to them yeah no that's fine
i um it'd probably be a jamesy for me yeah that's james has always been Jamesy. He's even in my phone. He's a Jamesy, isn't he?
Yeah, he's a Jamesy, yeah.
It's still just what you're used to, isn't it, I suppose?
That's it.
And it's just what sort of rolls off.
You can't force it.
I mean, I call Alfie Alfred and it's not his name, so...
Yeah, it's true.
True, isn't it?
I mean, poor Ruby.
She's like booby Ruby.
She's got...
Rubes.
Rubes.
Ruby Doobie.
That's the thing.
You just end up, you know, you make up your own names.
And even him, different people are saying different things.
He's got like JB.
He's got Jim Jam.
There's lots of little things that people are saying.
It's lovely. people create their own
it's very good
their own little names
it's very warm in that sun isn't it
beautiful day
last night I went out for dinner
where did you go what did you eat
I went out early evening
I went to
Loz Moches
nice
you're obsessed with that place yeah I went to Los Moches. Nice. Which is like a...
Dove.
You're obsessed with that place.
Yeah.
It's like a Japanese-Mexican...
I mean, that sounds hideous.
Japanese-Mexican.
That is screaming coriander all over the gaff.
There's a lot of things I'm not sure about.
Go on, inspire me.
Tell me what you had.
Oh, I had some tacos with like a rare beef.
Oh, unreal.
Really?
They do like the best guacamole.
They do like crab guacamole.
Smothered in coriander, is it?
Lovely, loads of coriander
and then yeah just some tacos some skewers some sushi those little bits and bobs anyway
um no it's really nice and we were on the rooftop which i had covered because obviously it's winter
but it was so nice that they actually pulled it back. Yeah, it was beautiful yesterday.
In October.
No, it's mad.
We've had such lovely weather this week.
I mean, that sun.
Although you're saying that this morning,
it was like a Halloween film.
Yeah, it was lovely.
When I got out of bed and I drove to Bishop's Stortford.
It was misty, wasn't it?
Oh, misty.
I couldn't see the front of my face.
Yeah, no, they did say it was...
I'm going to have to pull this blind down.
No, it's beautiful now.
Lovely.
It is really, really lovely.
Your nails look nice.
Thank you.
Oh, my God.
Well, what do you think?
Oh, my God.
I don't, because all my gels have peeled off.
It's really annoyed me, actually.
Oh, they are.
No, they don't even look that bad in that photo, to be honest.
What has she done?
I've bitten off all of the gels and they're all outgrown
and I desperately need to take them off.
Why take them off?
Oh, my God.
I know.
Why?
Oh, my goodness.
It's bad, isn't it?
What the...
That's bizarre.
It is bad.
What?
Yeah, sorry, what did you say?
What are you doing? How are the kids? What's happening?
They're all right.
Joni's a little bit funny at the moment, as you know, from last week.
She was funny, weren't she, last Friday?
Very strange behaviour.
I've never seen her like that.
Yeah, she's just got a bit sassy all of a sudden.
But I think there's quite a lot going on at school.
That sort of age where all the girls are not sure who to play with.
There's been a bit of arguing.
So I feel like she's been a little bit disrupted at school.
And I think she's bringing it home and taking out a bit of anger
on people at home rather than at school, which is obviously textbook.
That's how you want it.
They're good when they're out, aren't they?
And they're a bit shy. But when they feel safe, they go a bit nutty. Yeah, but also that's how you want it they're good when they're out aren't they and they're a bit shy but when they feel safe they go a bit nutty so that's all right she's yeah no it's
fine it's all learning curves and yeah yeah it's hormones isn't it hormonal girls mate oh the
hormones people don't really the other one's fine um she's been okay Not seen much of her Ships in the night
But today she's got a massive house music competition
So all week she has literally just been singing
So she's had the best week ever
Oh bless her
It's kind of a big musical day
And then she, yeah
I look forward to hopefully seeing her next week
I feel like I've not really seen her properly
If she's off she can come and
She can come round to you
Come and have a few hours here
It'll be nice Yeah it will be nice Do you want to know what happened to me yesterday always um so
i had my new boots on my burgundy boots right as i'm walking through the station yeah
these boots are made for walking sorry go on I felt my heel go through like a little hole
or something
nah
did it come off did you rip all the leather
devastated
I did that
a chunk out of the heel
no but like the leather
has like moved
do you remember those blue boots that I think Natalie or Uncle's bought me?
Yeah, the military ones.
With the gold bolts all up them.
Military, your military boots, yeah.
I'll never forget.
They were so bad.
Oh, my God, they were like a bit...
I've done that.
They were a bit...
I haven't finished my story anyway.
No, I'm just going to tell you that happened to me.
I went to some sort of concert and you know when you get to the front and it's like the grill it was like that the whole night i was just sunk into the floor and then there was honestly it was so
bad and i was devo and i went to um there was a place in cheson and it was a little old man
that it was just like him on in this shop that was so old.
Do you remember him?
And he fixed them all for me.
Like the bloke from Pinocchio.
What was his name?
Geppetto.
Geppetto.
Literally Geppetto.
But I'm not sure he's still there because that was quite some years ago.
Yeah.
But, yeah, I was just going to recommend there.
Anyway, continue.
But go on.
So, yeah, really upset about the situation.
Then, as I'm walking in, I stumbled across a Timpsons.
Timpsons?
Yeah.
Okay.
Popped in there, said to the guy, told him what happened.
He just looked at me.
There's not much we can do.
He said, they're a very unusual colour.
I said, okay.
I said, I know, but I'm really upset
because this is the first time I've worn them.
Yeah.
I think you could see the distress.
And he said to me, take this with you.
This is my gift from me to you because I like your boots.
I don't know if he was just being kind or a little bit pervy.
I was going to say, are you sure?
I appreciated it.
And do you know what?
It's done all right.
What did he give you? What was the present?
It's like the joke from Dometic.
What's in the box?
What's behind the door?
Just some polish, shoe polish, oxblood.
I'm kind though.
Very kind.
I said, don't be silly. I said, I'll pay for it.
He said, no. He said, that's my gift
from me to you oh that's lovely
any good well from afar you would never notice i know it's there so it's fucking annoying but
you wouldn't notice but yeah you should have taken a picture of your boot down the drain
you should always think of the pod yeah it's bad Oh, no, yeah. I can show you the aftermath.
OK, fine.
So, yes, that was...
That's annoying.
And what sort of boots are they, sorry?
Are they kind of got a big heel then, or...?
Um...
Pointy, square, what they like?
Yeah, they're pointy, knee-length, burgundy boots.
What, with a stiletto, like a proper thin...?
Not a stiletto, it's like not a stiletto it's like a um a block heel
but a thin block heel i'm not sure why anyone is we're walking around london in those who can be
bothered well she can what do you mean how sort of high quite high really high they give the balls
of my feet oh genuinely there is nothing I could think
that is the worst thing I could think of
doing right now
I can't do it I wish I could
I just got myself a pair of new trainers
the Speziaus
do you like them? yeah lovely they are
and I'll be going to London in those
I want to get the green and pink ones
maybe that's a nice Christmas present
I need to know what Mark would like for his birthday.
Yeah, same.
You lot all know Mark now.
What do you think?
What can we get Mark?
A banana holder, I want to say.
Give us some inspiration because he's very difficult to buy for.
I'll get a bottle of wine.
I'll see you soon.
Excellent.
All right.
Well, Jo, love you and I'll talk to you.
Love you.
All right.
What time will you be here?
I don't know.
Soon.
Okay.
Bye.
Bye, darling.
Bye.
Bye.
Bye.
I can't believe he's still asleep.
I know.
I'm going to have to wake him up soon.
Yeah, you will have to wake him.
Because you have been doing that, haven't you?
Yeah.
It's funny, different people's opinions, isn't it?
Well, but I'm just going by what the midwives and stuff are saying.
Absolutely.
But they're absolutely thrilled, aren't they?
What's he doing three to four hours?
In the night, four. Yeah. Three doing three to four hours? In the night four
Three and a half, four
In the day three
No longer than three
But yeah
I've not heard him
My friend, she's still in there
And everything seems to be under control
Unless she's having a nice cuddle
Oh no, it's absolutely amazing and also just a shout out to the midwives at princess
alexandra because alexander alexandra princess alexandra yeah sorry um they they were amazing
all of them incredible they work so hard that place was so busy
busiest time of year for babies um and they're all just they just they're just amazing special
shout out to one of my bezies of course always rachel yeah she's the best for helping elliot
and actually being there to do it,
which was incredible.
Yeah, I mean, how lucky.
Stroke of luck.
How lucky are we that she got to show us our boy.
Amazing.
But no, yeah, they're all amazing.
Everyone, all the staff, they really looked after us
and they just have such a, what a job they do.
Yeah, it's incredible, isn't it?
And they work so hard.
But yeah. Fantastic. onward and upwards that's it yeah just hope it it continues as it is absolutely and those four
weeks will fly you'll be driving again no but you know something this period and i know everybody
says it but it's like when you have the baby it goes so quickly this newborn
stage yeah well it's like they're only sitting newborn for six weeks you've just got to enjoy
it every second and I am don't rush even like when he's asleep for quite a long time I'm like
oh yeah I'm looking forward to waking him up yeah it's good you do miss him it's weird it's brilliant
um but no I'm absolutely loving it and look I'm not I don't feel knackered which i'm lucky for and it's enabling me to try and
recover because i am sleeping well you know he's up he's up when he needs to be has his feed and
he's back down he's a good boy so fingers crossed let's hope it yeah and you know if it doesn't i
think that that at least i've while i've i am recovering if i'm getting it now do you know i
mean at least i'm managing to heal and sleep.
Absolutely.
And sleeping is when your body heals.
Yeah.
So it's the best thing for you.
Exactly.
And you need to eat.
I know you are.
I mean, everyone's bringing that fridge.
Don't stop.
Because everyone that turns up here, they've got food with them.
Yeah.
That's brilliant.
Which is lovely.
Fantastic.
Well, thank you.
Thank you.
It's day 11 and I've managed to make you do it.
Yeah, I mean, maybe I think, again, this is all seems too good to be true.
I know, but thank you.
But we'll take it while we can.
Take it while we can.
And we've got a beautiful Christmas with your first sort of newborn baby.
First Christmas with him coming up and just such special times.
And again, this time of year is my favourite.
That's the best.
And even the weather, I'm like, the days that we had that were a little bit more like we had those
rainy days i was like oh this is lovely but then it's lovely when it's fresh and the sun's out and
like i said we've been able to have a little walk yeah um but yeah i just think being cozy
being at home you can't beat it can you and then all the festivities come absolutely i picked up
my first little thing the day actually i popped in popped out from the hospital oh yeah i picked
up a little um from that shop had you spoken about that shop with maria yes but i don't know it i've
not been oh it's the best and me i said it i think she said it to you and you went maria's just done
the same to me yes the shop is the best it's just the most beautiful shop so you need
to go there i will do um but i picked up like a little um paint your own christmas decoration i
thought the kids can do i thought you bought it for the baby i was gonna say that's a bit advanced
get your paintbrush boy off you go no um i bought you know i thought amelia raffi ruby they can do
two each and it's got the little paints.
It's just one of those shops that do all the cute little bits.
But yeah, no, I'm looking forward to Christmas.
It'll be lovely.
It will.
And they just get better every year, don't they?
I guess the older they get, the more aware, the more knowing.
And then it goes downhill after about nine.
I think Joni's going to have a lovely Christmas this year.
Yeah.
And then I think it starts to ebb away.
But then you make other family traditions. Of course. And it I think it starts to be away. But then you make
other family traditions
and it's still beautiful
in all different ways.
Every stage is good.
Yeah, absolutely.
And just enjoy every minute.
Yeah.
I'm so proud of you.
Thank you.
All right.
Thanks for everything.
It's a pleasure.
And I hope you've enjoyed
listening, guys.
