Welcome to Life with Nat. Oh, look at the little bird marks me and auntie lynnie are out this
morning on a walk uh unexpectedly it snowed overnight it's only a light shower but it is
lovely yeah it's pretty but it's starting to melt isn't it which is a shame and there's a bit of
now we've got rain so so. Hey-ho.
And I feel like every obstacle has been put in the way to prevent this from moving.
Natalie was meant to be coming to mine.
Then I've got a flat tyre.
Well, I don't know where the flat tyre's come from
because the car's not been moved for five days.
Yeah, that's odd.
So obviously I've got that.
You must have a slow puncture.
Going out.
It's just gone down, yeah.
Hang on, what way are we going?
You tell me.
I think we'll go this way.
Yeah, so then Mark's going to go and sort the car out,
but I couldn't come to yours, could I?
No.
And then we've woken up with a...
Come up to this.
And now it's raining.
But we're still out here, guys, going for a nice stroll.
And you've not been well.
And you're not well, Natalie.
Yeah, well, I feel much better today and this
is going to make me feel much better it's a bit of but i thought for a monday morning everyone's
back to work you'll be listening to this a lot of you back on the commute after the holiday and i
thought it'd be lovely to get outdoors and just have a chat about how important it is really to
try and get some fresh air and get a little bit of exercise go for a
little walk you haven't got to go mad everyone's going to start signing up to gyms and spending a
fortune and you'll all stop going you know mid-february yeah the key is not to be impulsive
yeah subscribe to something that possibly you can't afford to do or have never done before.
And then it'll be short lived.
How many times have we started things?
If you go back, remember we used to love our Zumba.
Yeah, Zumba and bounce.
I feel like Zumba we kept up for a long time.
For a long time.
We did it for a long time.
Yeah.
And we did bounce and then I think COVIDbe put a stop to that sorry i just
wanted to say that i didn't do bounce i was absolutely useless did you know was it not you
no i got on that trampoline thing and i felt like i was seven foot in the air
when you're only about two centimeters off i've got no balance have i haven't
um yeah and that got yeah then it probably put a stop to it and then it's not in your I've got no balance, have I? No, you haven't.
Yeah, and that got... Yeah, then COVID put a stop to it
and then it's not in your routine anymore
and, yeah, that brought that to an end.
We can't go through country roads, Natalie,
where there's no traffic, no?
We can, but my worry with the country roads
is that it will be treacherous.
Oh, right.
So I think we need to remain...
Yeah, stay on the main road.
I mean, it's quite treacherous here, to be fair, isn't it?
It's only a little bit of a noise.
It's not busy, is it?
No.
Although it does amaze me at the speed at which people drive...
Oh, is it an absolute joke?
...through these little villages.
No, it's a joke.
I'm really shocked by that well it's because
they feel they can get away with it because there's no one around yeah police what they're
doing but when you think about it it's more treacherous than anywhere yeah it's so dangerous
you can only have someone on a bike or someone coming out especially in the summer months lynn
when the pubs fill up do you know what i mean you
find the kids are on the bouncy castle god forbid someone runs in the road
which yeah we personally have experienced haven't we yeah i've said that and i didn't even think
about that yeah but no it can happen where you're all you know i don't know where you are but that
was where someone was on the other side of the road they were running to someone yeah yeah no of course of course this is a shocker actually
me and linear on an expedition
it's gonna be funny when i break my leg
and i'll be that'll be me festifini
you could see us it is quite comical, to be honest.
We'll put a video on.
We'll have to do a video.
So, I don't know about exercise and getting the heart pumping this morning.
We're barely shuffling along in the ice and rain.
Oh, dear.
No, so we did bounce, and you did bounce.
I'll tell you what I did.
I did the boxing there, which I really enjoyed.
Oh, okay.
Do you remember Bowen in the evenings?
Yeah, that's right, yeah.
Zumba we really liked.
And then I've joined, I can't tell you how many gyms over the years.
Yeah, see, I've never really been a gym person.
I did the Hertfordshire Gym,
Hanbury Manor Gym,
David Lloyd Gym,
Harlow Gym.
I mean, I've joined about a thousand gyms
What and not
Not stuck to them
Yeah
I think the gym
It's just not my thing
Yeah it's not everyone's kind of cup of tea is it
You've got to really be into it
To be dedicated and stick to it
I really like the one in Chesson
Do you remember the Laura Trott Centre
Yeah
They had a really good circuit
of machines so you set yourself up with this circuit and you follow that and you just follow
the circuit around a couple of times and that I enjoyed because I didn't have to think about it
yeah because that's the other thing isn't it you've got to know what you're doing yeah um yeah
it's never really been for me no in a room full of sweaty people no no grunting and then yeah it's just
with me and dave
well we survived christmas wasn't it that was like a gym workout in itself it was
yeah it was amazing but my goodness full on yeah really lovely christmas day at yours was so relaxed
it was lovely wasn't it food was amazing yeah we did well with the food and um lovely to watch
gavin and stacy with you and obviously the eastenders episodes it was so lovely boxing day
was manic at mine of course yeah absolute carnage i had a lovely boxing day game with mark's family
again a lot of people though still just continuously emptying dishwashers getting Oh, of course, yeah. Absolute carnage. I had a lovely boxing day again with Mark's family.
Again, a lot of people, though, still just continuously emptying dishwashers,
getting out more food.
Relentless.
Yeah, the cleaning.
The constant.
Putting away cleaning.
Throwing out boxes, wrapping paper, cans, bottles, picking up glasses.
Oh, no, Lynn.
Our garage.
We can't get in it.
There is so much cardboard.
Mark said he's never seen it like that.
Really? This year's really bad.
Because I said, you always go to the tip of the cardboard,
what you're moaning about.
He said, no, honestly, he said it's not only all piled up
by the, you know, the outdoor freezer,
but it's all over the floor.
You can't get in there.
Oh, it's obscene, isn't it?
How do we change this now jack went home so
they stayed however many nights i've lost count yeah so he then he had the van because he had come
so he was on call on christmas day yes yes so he said i'm going to go home get the truck
so i can get all the presents in the truck and even then he struggled he's got a truck
i mean it's ridiculous yeah no it's stupid
but it does feel nice i literally put all my christmas decorations took all them down last
night yeah he's a nice feet as much as i miss them because the house looks so pretty with them
there's a real balance yeah and i need to talk about it because i used to feel as soon as
christmas was done i've got to get it down, get it down.
But actually, I really enjoy that other week.
And I did as well.
I've got to be honest with you.
And Natalie, I put mine, as did you.
We started putting ours up really early, didn't we?
Even though that was very controversial for a lot of people.
Yes, yeah.
But I have to say...
At least we've enjoyed them.
At least you got to enjoy them.
And I feel like I have sat down quietly
and looked at the tree
is that stupid?
but they're all up
no one looks at it
I feel like I've enjoyed them
yeah
they're coming down slowly now
they would have all been down
if I would have had norovirus
that's been an absolute bastard
the last couple of days
it's wiped out the entire family
apart from
don't do that dog shit
why would people not pick you up their bird?
I've been trodding that.
No, I'll tell you something.
That is a disgrace.
Yeah, that's not good, is it?
No.
And it literally, someone's treating you. No, it's everywhere.
Unless it's human.
And someone can't help themselves.
They've got the neurovirus.
Oh, God.
It wouldn't look like that if it was neurovirus.
Oh, my God.
No, it's taken the whole family down, hasn't it?
Yeah, it's not been great.
Apart from me and Mark and Jack.
All right, superheroes.
Just saying, guys.
That's why.
Get yourselves out there walking.
Take a little vitamin.
Yeah.
And you can power through.
Well, no.
To be honest,
I have been really fearful
of getting here
because I just don't have time.
None of us do, granted.
And Elisa did message me the other day she went because i
have been in the mix of everyone yeah obviously i was looking after the baby because ellie's had it
i went to maria's thursday with the kids not knowing that she'd cut she came down with it
that night the kids have had it on and off dave's got it so i'm completely surrounded yeah by
infected people and you've done well and he said when if
you don't get it she goes you are made of steel but so far i think you're gonna be all right i
hope so i feel like now everyone's coming out of it aren't they yes but it has been a nasty bug
and contagious i think lots and lots of people have had it i put a little something on instagram
saying felt a bit poorly yeah i'm gonna watch something yeah i know get all my replies and every i mean yesterday must have been 50 people
i'm in poorly i'm poor really i'm watching the telly i'm so poorly apparently made the news
someone told me well it's so rife it's like you said it's christmas time and over that festive
series everyone's mixing um i mean i think it's been around
sort of middle early part middle of december yeah there were people i agree assuming they
had food poisoning when actually it was the start of it and obviously christmas has just
escalated it like absolutely like it does with any bug or flu or um but i just cannot comprehend how you lot just went down
one after the other it was a strange i'm just i'm so pleased i got to go and see only fools
and horses you got that in but how i got that in before feeling ill i went to that got home i was
ill that's crazy isn't it can i just say what a great show is it really i've got to go and see
i think dave would love it i don't know to go and see it i think it's i would
love it i don't know how long it's on for but it'll come back well it went and then it came
back yeah it will come back i'm sure who was in it natalie um paul whitehouse oh paul whitehouse
vinnie jones is making a little cameo that's what i'd heard as a bit of a villain right and you've
just it's brilliant honestly you don't they're unknowns delboy rodney
rodney was so young and at the beginning because i've seen it i saw it the first time around in
the west end yeah and this was at the apollo and um the rodney and delboy were different
and i was a little bit worried because they were so good the first time around but these two were absolutely
fantastic made it their own was still as good yeah no it was absolutely great if you're a fan of the
show it's a no-brainer you just have a it's just emotional i need to book it then i really do just
do it i don't know if you've got any time left i think it goes off tomorrow. Does it really? No, I don't think it's on for long. Oh, I thought it was... We'll have to look.
It might be a...
No, no, it's a short run.
Oh, I thought it had come back
and it was back for a little while.
No, it's a short run.
Oh, we have missed the boat.
However, what I would say
is I wouldn't go and see it
at the Apollo
because the venue's very large
and I didn't like the venue.
Oh, really?
That's where they do live at the Apollo.
Right.
It's more of a comedy yeah music venue uh well you just felt too i mean i don't i was in the stalls so i paid
a lot of money and it was an okay seat but for people i spoke to a lovely family from up north
yeah they'd come all the way you imagine yeah lucky are, we can drive for an hour and we're there, but this family
you know
got a train down and she said
we can't see the stage
oh no, that's pointless
isn't it, because it's
so big, you're sitting so
far back, yeah, because normally
these theatres are not massive are they
I'm not saying it's cavernous, it's not
you know, it's not the O2.
No, but...
But I'd much rather go and see it in a Western theatre if it comes back.
Of course.
Why do they do that then?
Just to...
Listen.
To get the people in.
Listen, if enough people want to go and see it, they'll book a bigger venue, won't they?
Wow.
We'll be doing that soon, innit?
We'll be on the old stage doing the old life
we've met at the Apollo
I mean guys
we'll start off small
I'm just a letting agent
she's got me walking around the village with a microphone in my hand
looking like a complete you know what
we look like news reporters
can't wait to get a picture up
yeah right
we do have to do a tour
I just don't know when we're going to squeeze it in,
but we're going to have to do a few dates this year.
Really?
Yeah, definitely.
So that's definitely on the cards for this year?
100%.
I've just got to get a few things out of the way
so I can concentrate on it.
How does that work then, the tour?
You're booking dates, different areas.
Well, Michael will help me.
Right.
So he will sort out...
Well, he's done it a thousand times before
with a thousand people.
So I'll just follow his lead
and he'll tell me some venues and what to do.
Right.
I have said sort of the Hertfordshire, London area...
Oh, so you've...
...would be handy.
Right.
Only to start with.
Just to get a feel of... just to get a feel of it
and someone near home
but yeah there'll be lots of people all over
so what sort of scale would that be
like what sort of venues
do you know I really don't know
honestly I couldn't tell you
who does the live ones then
oh any podcast that does well darling
they do tours now
GK Barry who I heard on the other day, does a lot of tours.
Yeah, I listened to that.
You'd come across really.
It was a good one.
She's a really lovely girl.
Yeah, but she does lots.
Does she?
Parents in hell.
Yeah.
They sell out the O2, babe.
Of their pods.
That's how big it is, yeah.
So it's basically the pod, but on a stage with a live audience.
Correct.
But I feel like
you have to give them
something else.
Well, yeah.
So I think there's
a bit of entertainment
or you get a band on
or we're just going to
be splashed to death.
Hang on.
Yeah.
Oh, there's no pavements.
I know.
We have to cross the road.
We're going to end up
walking to Elliot's
at this rate.
We are walking to Elliot's.
Oh, are we?
Oh, OK. I should have driven to elliott's then let's get well no that's ridiculous oh why
yeah no that wouldn't work oh yeah i should have picked you up driven to elliott's and
oh no because then i ignore me guys i would have been walk it's as long as it's long um
yeah so because i guess with yours we're right here yeah it's long. Yeah, so, because I guess with yours... Well, you're right here.
Yeah, it's fine until someone runs us over.
I guess it's...
Yeah, our one...
Yeah.
It's not comed...
Like, if you're...
It's a funny pod.
They're rude.
No.
I think we're very funny.
No, but do you know what I mean?
No, I know.
But some of them, they're...
They do stand up.
Yeah, so it's like watching a comedian
on stage isn't it
yeah but some people
but ours you're just
going to have two
people talking
well you won't just
be you
calm down
I'll have a few
other guests
it's not going to be
me and you is it
on my own
I don't know
I don't know how
they work
no I would hope not
so you will have
a selection of people
I'll have a selection
hopefully
whoever wants to
and we'll have a little
selection throughout the evening different people a few games so it's a full on show we'll have a selection hopefully whoever wants to right and we'll have a little selection throughout the evening
different people
a few games
so it's a full on show
we'll have a few games
oh right
I'd like a few songs
songs
oh so it's a proper
yeah
it's a nice
bit of cabaret
afternoon
yeah
bit of bingo
who knows
right
so they
ooh
they turn it into
they turn it into an entertainment an afternoon of fun
but again i've got to sit and think about what i want to do i haven't got time have you ever been
to see one then have you no that might be handy i might have to start doing that just so you get
an insight yeah it's a good idea what they do it's a very good idea oh Oh, they're out. What are they doing? Shooting. Oh. No, it's only clay pigeon.
Oh, okay.
That's good.
Yeah.
Oh, that's good.
So already a busy year ahead for you, Natalie.
Yeah, and you?
Yeah.
How's your year looking?
Well, yeah, we've got, Natalie, I've got already, we booked a holiday.
I booked a holiday with Marie and the kids.
Yeah, lovely.
So it's nice to look forward to in February, half term.
Yeah.
So that's nice.
The best time to get a bit of sun, isn't it?
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Last year, I barely got away.
No.
Yeah.
So I've got that to look forward to.
I mean, I say it's something to look forward to.
I go away and my legs blow up if I'm in the sun.
Yeah, I mean, you are just.
So there's no point going away to anywhere sunny.
And you can't go skiing because
you're breaking oh no i wouldn't go skiing or anything like that i'm best off just staying at
home it's true though you're funny oh dear we got the baby coming haven't we we have beginning of feb good grief so another one yeah so it's just busy already embarrassing
um good morning morning morning um
people look horrified when we say good morning don't we can we talk about that yeah i'd like to talk about people why is it we are so rude it's not rude it's
like reserved um no just shy it's english it's english it's quite a british thing it's
quintessentially english yeah so it's not rude it's not arrogant no it's just british they're
speaking to us and we don't know them mind you are walking along with
two microphones i know we do look like we're gonna cost someone and say what did you think
about the murder that happened last night oh no i was about to say that don't start wetting yourself
you may look good but we know there's you know issues down there no joking that is a joke guys
just trying to make her laugh.
Not there yet.
Yeah, it's funny, isn't it?
Because you see the awkwardness in people's faces.
Yeah, but I feel like the elderly are very good, I feel.
Yes.
A lot of the elderly that you see out.
And if we'd had Betsy with us,
they would have been completely comfortable
because they all had dogs.
There were three of them with dogs.
That's right.
So had I had Betsy here,
they would have happily said good morning. completely agree or a baby or if we'd
have baby james with us yes yeah it's interesting isn't it how we are yeah it's yeah it is a funny
thing yeah it's just it's the same as a tube i've done it before i've spoken about kind of
especially the north and south divide there's a huge difference. There's a huge difference.
Yeah.
People say there isn't.
As soon as you get on a train,
honestly, from Euston,
and you go up to Manchester,
you can't believe it.
They all start talking to you.
Yeah, you can't believe how friendly people are.
Yeah, funny old thing.
Very, very funny old thing.
Which, yeah, again,
coming from Mediterranean descent in Italy,
it's just southern Italy.
But again, there's a divide there with northern Italy and southern Italy.
Well, I was going to say that.
The southerners are friendlier, more welcoming.
I remember going to Milan and it being quite a rude place.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
Unless you know someone, then they are very much like we are here.
Yeah.
But the southerners are yeah crikey yeah
they'll accept you in your home and feed you and they don't even know who you are yeah they're
like yeah just bring anyone everyone yeah it's very welcoming very very good um i wanted to say
thank you to all of the listeners um for all of your happy new year messages yeah and i hope you've
all had a really good one how are you all feeling going back to work
um i was thinking of the next pod not sure i'm going to be with yet possibly nat's nieces
hopefully but it'd be nice to talk about if you have any new year's resolutions or sort of goals
rather than resolutions i don't agree with them because i feel like you're setting yourself up
to fail but goals for the year or things you'd like to do boxes you'd like to you know boxes you'd like to
tick off or any questions you've got or a bit of advice uh from me would be lovely 07788
2019 19 for the next one that would be really great few voice notes and just remember your messages and voice
notes is what keeps the pod sort of turning around so thank you so much let's have a lovely 25.
Do you feel like again it's for me I feel like it is a bit of a psychological thing whereby
because it's the end of the year yeah like everyone says right we've got to get all the
jobs that we haven't had done during this year and lived with whether it's the end of the year yeah like everyone says right we've got to get all the jobs that we haven't
had done during this year and lived with whether it's paperwork you know whether it's admin stuff
at home yeah whatever it might be like decorating oh my god daughter's bedrooms like decorate your
daughter's bedrooms cleaning your ovens yeah um oh my god it's december christmas is looming
we've got to get all these jobs done because we found at work we were just
overwhelmed with the volume of work because people just catch it yeah we're just walking through a huge puddle guys hang on I haven't got one and I've lost Natalie oh this is shocking
I can hear cars come on girl no Okay. You know I'm a nervous
boss of the road.
Yeah, you are.
You're terrible, aren't you?
Yeah, I'm not...
Okay, it's all to do
with the dyspraxia.
Hmm.
Do you feel it's got worse
as you've got older?
Yes.
Yeah, because you do.
You seem very...
Yeah, there's no...
Again, though,
I'm used to coming from...
Not that Broxbourne
is hugely busy,
but much busier than a village.
Oh, yeah, yeah, I know.
So, to me, this is a breeze i know
but it's like you said about cars whizzing around yeah they can always run the yeah yeah they have
no and there is some ice on the road so you never know so yeah going back to yeah do you feel that
again it's a psychological thing that because we're coming to the end of the year we've got
to mop up and tidy up everything we haven't done during the last 12 months i do and i also think it's pressure in people's homes they might have family coming oh right and they want to
get it looking as perfect as they can do you know what i mean yeah but i mean i should knock on
earlier's door yeah probably asleep no i don't know she did message this morning saying are you
still walking should we just wait why don't we um? Yeah, 100%. She'll be gay that we've walked all this way and not...
I don't know if she will.
Oh, no.
She might say, please, God.
Shall we just wave?
Do you want to ring her?
She'll say, why are you walking up this road with your microphones?
And then there'll be their WhatsApp neighbours group chat.
Because it's beautiful.
Hope these are okay.
Still going strong in the rain.
Never tried the microphones in the rain.
Oh, she's still got her briefing out.
Hello, love.
You in bed?
Yeah.
We're outside your house. you've got to come and have
a look we just want to wave at you through the window it's worth it's worth a look maybe you
could take a photograph of us that would be good i mean has anyone ever busted them as much as us
what was she having a sleep? What? Where is she?
What did she say?
She said, where are you?
Please look out the window.
A photo would be really helpful.
Take a photo.
We're being serious.
Oh, no, you're on the park.
Yeah.
What do you think we're doing?
What do you think we're doing?
We've got the microphones.
Dopes.
That's kind of how I describe us as well love you um how was the walk wet well we're on it we're doing the how's it going it's okay i mean it's a little treacherous if you
would have been on it you would have broke your ankle by now yeah i was gonna say please let's
be careful of all our bones yeah yeah we are we're being um
careful and it's all been rained away yeah it's not even that cold no it's not that cold i mean
you're walking with microphones in your hand yeah it's bizarre isn't it and we've just said isn't
it funny how people don't say hello i said it's probably because people think we're gonna go
what do you think about the murder last night?
I can see the microphones on the... Oh, that's a shame.
I don't.
I mean, they're getting really wet.
Oh, no, Mum, don't hold it in the air.
It's not a...
Well, I'm doing it because you...
You said you can't see it.
Feeling better then, are we now?
Yeah.
She's not.
She's a bit fragile.
She's not her normal... I'm a bit weak now, OK's not, she's a bit fragile She's not her normal
I'm a bit weak now
Yeah, she's a bit fragile
Yeah, my head is still
Your head ache?
I've just had a couple of paracetamol
Yeah, terrible
Hot water and lemon
Did you manage to eat anything yesterday?
Yeah, but not good
It just made me feel very sick
Oh really?

See you later.
Love you.
See you, babe.

How chilled is that, guys?
I know it's boring and I'm really sorry.
The baby.
But he is the most chilled baby's easy baby yeah i have ever
experienced please don't let him change i had him on the 28th they all went to the darts
i had him all day from 10 o'clock in the morning lucky for some isn't it yeah he posed me
well he just slept and fed and pooed that was it fantastic don't think he cried once
no he's a good boy he's so good and when i had him on thursday when she was not feeling good
okay yeah i was gonna say was that fine i picked him up drove to maria's he slept till
half past four i fed him changed him and then Jack turned up to pick him up.
That's really good.
I mean, wow.
He's a good boy.
No, it's lovely.
He's a good boy.
Long may it continue.
But maybe it's because they're so chilled.
I don't, do you know something?
You say that.
I don't know.
I think you're just lucky or you're not lucky.
Yeah, is it that?
I really, really do feel that.
You can say about whatever you want.
How you are as a person and what you've done.
But Annalisa and Dom are a lovely, calm couple.
And Amelia's not slept, has she really?
No, she doesn't sleep.
So let's hope the next one is better.
Yeah.
You can't help it.
It is what it is.
Eliza was up for ages.
Was she?
And now she sleeps really well.
Yeah, but she's a teenager now, isn't she?
Joanie was better.
But I think you learn.
I don't think you get up a lot with the second.
I think you learn to leave them a bit more.
Yeah, you're a bit more...
A bit of tough love.
Exactly that.
Whereas with your first...
Yeah, you're pandering and getting them up.
It is.
They are hard work.
Yeah.
Yeah, you were saying to GK...
Was it GK Barry about babies? And I thought yeah who was yeah you were saying to gk was it gk barry
about babies and i thought my god you got you were so spot on when you said they're such they're so

i'm honestly bless bless joni's heart but she is She's a chat box, isn't she? Unbelievable.
This morning I got to you, what time was it?
25 past nine?
Yeah.
And she's, bless her, bouncing off the walls with energy.
Absolutely.
They're young, aren't they?
Yeah, of course, of course.
They've got a... And Nanny Jackie's with us today, which is nice.
Yeah.
So she'll really play with her, do puzzles, do whatever.
And then hopefully I can get all these decks cleared away,
make a big pastina. Mark's made a great big chilli already this morning has it for tomorrow no maybe for whoever wants chili whoever wants pastina and then the rest can be for tomorrow so that's
you talk about pastina like your audience know what pastina is yeah i know it's bad isn't it
it's like a chicken leftover chicken daniel rose chicken you got all bits of meat left on it loads of veg loads and loads of veg tiny chopped up really little couple of chicken stock
cubes depending on size a couple of liters of water and then you add let that cook through
celery carrots a little bit of potato whatever you've got it doesn't matter does it even poached
egg in mine yeah lovely not everyone likes that
but no poached egg in it yeah it's lovely the little pasta so be it orzo or the little stellini
the little stars yeah and it's really really nice really good for the children as well good for your
kids don't like vegetables you can liquidize the veg so you disguise it in the broth and they don't
even know they're eating veg yeah it's a lovely dish it really is
how well did um i mean your food was amazing all over christmas yeah but how well did the older
new year's eve evening food go down the melanzani oh very well shame that i didn't get anything else
out no that literally is what we did wasn't it it? Melanzani, rocket salad and bread. I know, but then I was having a go
and we said you didn't get any cheese out.
But everyone was drinking, laughing, dancing.
I didn't know the time to get it out.
Did the cheese not come out?
No, but then it sort of passed.
The time sort of passed.
But again, the melanzani is a hot dish.
It's like eating a plate of lasagna, isn't it, in effect?
Yeah, I mean, who wants anything after that?
Yeah, it did go down very well. A little of bread didn't we yeah no it was lovely it was
really nice yeah very very nice and lovely to see evie and james with their partners who are lovely
really good really nice yeah it was really lovely to have everyone all together yeah
haven't seen that photograph of you i'll, I'll send it to you later. Yeah, of all of you.
It's really lovely.
I've seen one of you, Dom and James.
Yeah, I'll send you.
I've got lots.
I'll send you some.
Oh, do send them.
Yeah, I will.
Really lovely pictures.
And are they all well?
No one's come down with anything, have they?
So far, so good.
Oh, right.
That's interesting.
No, Evie sent me some nice pictures of me and her.
Oh, wow.
I've got to get back to her, actually, because they don't know I've been here all, but at
the time, I couldn't pick my phone up. So I'll to um have a chat with them but fingers crossed they're all okay
so that's good i'll check today oh it's really raining now it's a shame isn't it such a shame
i didn't realize rain was forecast until later there you go yeah so this is commitment guys
walking in well this is my first walk in about
i'd say four and a half months is it really natalie yeah i've not been on a walk for that
amount of time i mean when tina said i can't walk sunday and i can't walk monday but the
weather's miserable sunday so we wouldn't have been walking anyway i'll sort of go into panic
mode yeah i'm gonna have to walk on my own yeah um and i don't really like walking on my own i get bored yeah i understand
but yeah the old air pods probably are what you need to do but then i do feel we've spoken about
this before so let's not repeat ourselves but i do feel you have to be a bit aware so maybe one
air pod yeah absolutely um yeah oh no i'd never walk with both
in because you don't know what's going on around i used to do all my running and walking on my own
in brookspur now did you not yeah i went down the river all the way to tottenham i used to run
good good i'm back again yeah when you think all the running you did and it's mad how it was just
time isn't it yeah but we've just got a summer months will make it a little easier no i'm
definitely going to start doing some walking i'm going summer months will make it a little easier no i'm definitely
going to start doing some walking i'm going on a pod called the monday mile but i'm doing it on
friday okay and we're recording near my work because i can squeeze it in and you walk for a
mile with someone and you have a chat oh all right so you're doing another stint this week then and
i thought that would be good so that's two this week but i'll try and get another one in but don't you feel i know it's not exactly no i feel invigorated you feel so much better
and hopefully this afternoon you'll be able to have a little nap as well yeah and you'll feel
so you've got such a long day tomorrow you know i'll tell you what's a shame though i've just
stepped in a very deep puddle and my foot is absolutely soaked i'm gonna have um what did they used to have in the
war where their foot got wet what's it called gangrene i don't know what you're talking about
when their feet get what wet their feet get so wet then is it clubfoot no well they're in the trenches for a long time i'm
not comparing my foot to that i mean lucky guys lucky she's not dramatic i mean between her
yeah the castanets i'm not a dramatic person
i do stupid things and then make jokes i mean Mark had to do a coat up because she couldn't do a coat up.
Oh, you do know that we were doing the wrong zip?
Pardon?
The bit of the zip that we needed to do up was at the top.
So he was trying to do at the bottom.
Just so you know, that's what went wrong there.
Where are we going?
We're going to cross here, babe.
I mean, it's not great to walk along here, is it?
There's many picky village walks.
Village walks, you're running.
Trenchfoot.
Trenchfoot, it was called.
Because of the bloody trenches.
They're going to kill me people for not knowing that.
It was.
Trenchfoot.
But both feet are absolutely soaked.
I'll have pneumonia tomorrow.
That's why I didn't put trainers on.
I know.
I can't walk in wellies though.
Can you not?
No.
Not really.
How long have we been going in?
We've walked to Elliot's.
Have a look at the time.
That's got to be...
Let's have a look.
So it's 10.15.
We set off at 9.30ish.
Yeah. So we've done 45 minutes-ish. I so we've done 45 minutes ish i think we've done
very well we've done very well just can't believe it's absolutely boring boring well i hope everyone
has a great first week back at work and i know lots of people listen after and whatever i do
think it's nice to just be a bit relevant for people on the day it comes out what do you think
about that what do you think i confuse people because just be a bit relevant for people on the day it comes out. What do you think about that?
Of course.
What do you think I confuse people?
Because I have a lot of people, obviously, that catch up or save them.
Right.
But I feel that for the people that are listening on the day, what do you think?
I think there's nothing wrong with that. If you're playing catch up, that's no different, I guess, to a degree, watching a soap and being three months behind.
You're still going to get snippets of what's gone on because it's all over social media.
People are talking about it.
So, no, I think it's right to be relevant.
Oh, thank you.
Because did you and Mark struggle doing the one that you were talking about after Christmas
and you recorded it pre-Christmas
that was okay yeah wasn't too bad yeah yeah but yeah I hope you all have a good first week back
it's hard isn't it the first week well setting the alarm for six tomorrow is going to be
and do you know what it is as well Natalie the roads we've all got used to those of us that
have had to go into work in between yeah the roads are quiet
tomorrow you've got all the schools up back yes everyone going back to work the weather's
treacherous so guys set off early or just be prepared to get in late because i think it's
one of those mornings i would love to hear that on the weather to be a weather person it's going to be treacherous tomorrow
either set off early
or just be late
that's a great one
she's taken the piss out of auntie Lily
we can't be having that, come on guys
oh no, thank you for getting me out
on this walk
I feel 100 times better
I hope so, I hope you're not going to have the flu
I'm going to ring you tomorrow and I'm going to have bronchitis or something.
But apart from that.
Oh, lovely.
Well, Happy New Year to you all.
We'll be out for a walk soon.
A hundred percent.
Lovely.
Take care, everybody.
Thanks again.
Any thoughts and any ideas for me for the next one?
07788 20 1919.

So let me know.

Take care.
See you.
