Starting point is 00:00:00 Say more about Apple being a supply chain company. I didn't get enough sleep last night. Go for it, dude. Oh, you're like, you're going to sleep, I guess. Didn't get it. Absolute prick. Didn't get it. Absolute prank.
Starting point is 00:00:12 I got a lot of sleep last night. I wonder how much nine hours and 30 minutes. Well, I got about the same. Really? Mm-hmm. Oh, I got three. Yeah, I got. Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:00:21 In the middle of that. But that's a huge chasm there. Well, that's a long story. Oh, I didn't so much coke. I was on a bender. I couldn't stop. Were you on a bender? no no no no i'm just with some weird russians for a long time nice oh well that's that's that's
Starting point is 00:00:35 kind of catches a bender but um that's a that's a that's part usually oftentimes that's part of a bender yeah you're going to get three hours is it so um wake up you're sleeping stand in the middle of room uh yeah i i i i got really good sleep man i mean i did uh what do you call it uh here we go i took i took a trazadone whatever you know Oh, you mess with the trazz? Yeah. How does that affect you? So I don't normally take them, but I have them.
Starting point is 00:01:06 And I, to be clear, trisadone is a non-addictive thing that is like the lowest rung thing a doctor will prescribe you if you have any kind of sleeping trouble at all. Right. It is not a spectrum of ambient or X-A. No, no, no, it's not that. It's not addictive because, you know, but I- Antidepressant technically?
Starting point is 00:01:27 I have something like that. Something for anxiety, maybe? I don't know. Yeah. But anyway, um, I took, so I took, uh, one, the night before. Sometimes when I come home and I know, like, I'm not doing anything that night except putting the kids to bed. I'll just take it. Like earlier?
Starting point is 00:01:46 Yeah. This way I'll fall asleep because I'll, I'll look about like, you know, eight or eight 30. And I know I'll get at least eight hours of sleep. Do you wind down? I have taken, I don't, but I have taken Trisadone in the past. and when I was prescribed it I was like I know what puts me to sleep
Starting point is 00:02:04 this is nothing oh yeah and then I took one I was yeah it really works it really really works it's strange the first time I ever took it was
Starting point is 00:02:13 and it's immediate it's not like most things that like you need to like get it in your body no it was the first time I ever took it was in rehab because we couldn't have you know I had to go to sleep at like because I got to get up at like 536 so they were like it's
Starting point is 00:02:28 8 p.m. Do you want your thing? I'm like, I'm like, I guess I'll do it if everyone's doing it. And did it work? Yeah, very, very well. Wow. And, um, and so now I have it. And I, I actually just got a prescription to reupped it, which is like after years. But, um, I, I took one and it knocked me. It's almost like, it makes you a little tired. You fall asleep, but the good thing is it keeps you asleep. It's not like like if I don't take it, I'll wake up at 5 a.m. to 6 a.m. And then go back to sleep. Okay. So so I took it and then I woke up the next day, which was yesterday and I was like groggy for hours, you know. This is 50 milligrams or whatever. It'll make you grog or wrong milligrams. Yeah. And so I had to get through the day workout.
Starting point is 00:03:19 Finally after I worked out, I felt good. And then today last night, I just took half because I'm going to, I want to see how much. Well, that's a lightweight stuff. I mean, I mean, I'm not, that's good. No, I know. I guess I'm a lightweight. I don't know. But, and then, so I took half, so that's 25 milligrams. What do they call it?
Starting point is 00:03:35 That's milligrams. Yeah. And then I'm so, I'm still groggy. So I'm going to try a fourth now. Or not do it. The thing is, that's the game. It's like, it's going to make you at least a little groggy. That's like the thing.
Starting point is 00:03:49 That's like the, no, I do know that. But I thought I'd be less groggy and I'm not. But also you got nine and a half hours of sleep. That could make you groggy. That's true, but that is a godsend. But I'm not, you know, it's like if I have to get up early anyway, I'm not going to take it. Like if I, if I, like tomorrow, I think I probably have a flight that's early. If I'm getting to bed later, I just won't take it.
Starting point is 00:04:11 Because. Well, yeah, you don't want to screw yourself. Yeah, yeah. So I take it maybe twice a week at this point, I think is what I'll do. A Trazadone commercial. I'll do it Monday and Tuesday probably. My Monday, Tuesdays will be great. Tres a note.
Starting point is 00:04:26 Brought to you by transfer. No, but anyway, yeah. I'll be in Spokane. I'll be in Bakersfield. I just booked Bakersfield. Louisville is, that was already. Sorry, Louisville, thank you for coming. Springfield, Missouri, Portugal, Tulsa.
Starting point is 00:04:41 You know, these are all Chrysley.com. Bakersfield, I can't wait for Bakersfield. Some woman just put up, she was going to have a protest up outside of the shows of Bakersfield, so I can't wait for that. Come on. If you're not coming to the show, come to the protest. I love people just either in or around the area. For the Iran war.
Starting point is 00:04:56 Yeah, yeah. Yeah. So that's great. Also, the great thing is I know that nobody's going to show up. So that's cool. I love when like people are like, we got to do this for the right thing. And then they just don't show up. Dude, every time there's been a, in Portland they did this, they were, they were trying to get media involved.
Starting point is 00:05:13 And they're like, there's going to be a portrait. One person showed up. Not one, one, one, one. One. One is one. One. The loneliest number. I mean, that is quite something.
Starting point is 00:05:24 And everyone, everyone all, they didn't even have a buddy, like just tag along. 500 people walked by and were like, fuck you, I want to see Chris Lee. Were they trying to stop them? No, but just the ego of like, it's like, dude, everyone wants to just have a good time. I mean, geez. The ego of one person. I tell the story about when I saw Chinatown at that old theater. Oh, yeah, you did.
Starting point is 00:05:46 I was in the back. I got there late with my buddy and it was the row of six seats all the way in the back, just a small row. And it was me and these four women all dressed the same. You said, I think you told it on this. I think so, yeah. And they were so nervous. I felt bad for them. Yes, you did tell you.
Starting point is 00:06:00 Even though I know they were going to protest the movie, I know, I was just about to watch in love, which is one of my favorite movies ever. They were making me nervous. I was like, you guys just go do the thing you were going to do the thing. And they did it. They did it so half-ass, but they were like, you think we should. You think we should. I was like, what the fuck do you come here to go to watch Chinatown? They just watched a whole movie and they end up liking it.
Starting point is 00:06:17 Yeah, there just ended up wrong in Polanski fans. Anyway, it's the half-ass protest. I mean, you know. Yeah. You got to feel good about yourself if you have literally like if you're just like this person who put it together or trying to put it together It's like 48 like just kind of the rainbows all over her Instagram we can make our assumptions I mean people have white what my experience I mean tell me if this is yours too it appears Based on what the world the information the world gives me either there are people who have absolutely no time
Starting point is 00:06:48 or people who have absolutely nothing but time. And I find very few people in the middle. Actually, that's pretty true. Leisure time. Yeah, that's interesting. But, like, do a lot of shit. I don't know people, many people like that anymore. Or that's how it seems to me.
Starting point is 00:07:06 It's like you either have no time and can put together a single person protest on like a Wednesday. Or you have absolutely no time and can't do anything until like 9 p.m. Yeah. You can't get to an easy. email until like yeah yeah yeah that's funny actually uh i'm working on that bit yeah it's a bit i'm getting into stand up i think it's like gonna be you think it'll be like a signature bit like a chris rock like bit but the book you know chris rock with a five thousand dollar bullet bit that'll be like that wow yeah it's cool i just rewatched a comedy special what yeah dude which one uh bigger and
Starting point is 00:07:40 blacker why why i mean it's great well why did you watch it notwithstanding the people in this room he is my favorite comic of all time yeah yeah yeah Yeah, yeah, he's great. I think he's like just, I can't, I sometimes can't believe it when I'm watching it. No, he's great. He doesn't do the thing where you're doing the dips in the, he's just 10 out of 10. It's like a marvel, you know? Also, everything he's saying is funny.
Starting point is 00:08:04 Also, all his perspectives are interesting. Yeah, I know. It's like none of, there's no let up. Dude, I've never done this in my life. Just because I was like, it's an hour I know, I checked the runtime. Like at a certain point, I was like, damn, this guy's been. He hasn't taken a breath in like, what, 20 minutes? I looked, I expected to be maybe halfway through.
Starting point is 00:08:22 It was six minutes left. Oh, wow. The guy was just on fire the whole time. That act was incredible. It made a star, yeah. Yeah, legendary. And then he never scared, which is also amazing. Yeah, he had that run where he was just.
Starting point is 00:08:37 No, he was the king. He's still great. Yeah, yeah, no, totally. Yeah. But when you're young and hungry and you've worked on, like, especially even back then, you would do an act for, I mean, Louis did the same act for like 20 years. Really?
Starting point is 00:08:51 That's what he said, yeah. I just saw it for the first time. I never watched any stand-up, but I just saw it for the first time his bit. He was so young. He was so younger. But he was so young. It was obviously at the celebrity theater,
Starting point is 00:09:05 but when he was, when he did the bit where he was like, I have this thing I go through where it's like, of course, but maybe, you know that bit? That's a great bit. That's a great bit. That sounds very him. It's so good. It's such a great bit.
Starting point is 00:09:18 So that's like one of those bits where it's just basically he's like, of course the good thing, but maybe, I don't even know how to explain it. But sounds like me. Yeah, I can relate to that. I think I know where you're going with that. But like, of course, he ends it with, of course slavery is bad, but maybe. Oh, wow. Wow. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:33 Like that kind of thing. So, so, but but he earns it by the end. You know what I mean? Sure. I would imagine starting there is not a good place. It's great. So, yeah, it's such a great bit. You know, that to me is to like, you see, you take a point of view and you go, oh, wow, this is an interesting point.
Starting point is 00:09:54 How are you going to, you know, Bill Burr does this. A lot of guys do this. But how do you say something like that? And Bill Burrow just be like, yeah, Arnold Schwarzenegger should have cheated, you know. Chris Fox says, I mean, in terms of time capsule, that's 99, I think that came out, bigger and blacker, right? It's crazy some of the shit he's saying. That like somebody said them now people are like, oh. Oh, you got it.
Starting point is 00:10:17 Oh, wow. Yeah. I mean, I'm me, so I don't know. You don't care. He also looks like a baby, dude. I know, I know. I know. I mean, he looks like he's 24.
Starting point is 00:10:25 I know he's not. But he looks like a kid, dude. Yeah. Yeah. Dude doesn't break a sweat. Just fucking slaughtering up there anyway. Yeah. Which one did you watch?
Starting point is 00:10:36 Bigger and Blacker. He came to play. Is that the one with the gun control bit? Yes, the $5,000 bullet. Yeah. Yeah, it's amazing. Yeah. He's a bunch of famous bits from that.
Starting point is 00:10:45 Slick Rick. opens and closes for them. That's the N-word one, right? That's never scared. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Which one is that? I mean, trying to get me in trouble. Trying to get you in trouble.
Starting point is 00:10:56 What were you talking about? No. So part of the joke is like, you don't get extra credit for not going to jail. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's like a big part of it. Which is a hilarious bit. Yeah. I actually thought it was in that.
Starting point is 00:11:10 Yeah, so I put on bigger and blacker. No, what I was asking was which. what special is that in? Never scared, never scared. Oh, never scared. It's in his follow-up. You said that? Oh.
Starting point is 00:11:23 And it's about who? Will you say more about it? Specifically, a group of people who? What was that letter you said? I'm sorry, you understand like, yeah, yeah, yeah, but it's all good. The letter you use, what did that imply? What follows after that first letter? But anyway, it's Sam Worthington's birthday, Eddie Furlawn's birthday, Charlie X,
Starting point is 00:11:39 who is Charlie X-C-X? Who is that? You don't know who that is that a rapper? No, come on. The English singer. X-X-X-X-L. is a singer. She's just like, and the boys
Starting point is 00:11:49 that are bad. Then the boys they are sexy. Brat Summer? You don't? Oh, no, I don't know that. I heard of Brat Summer. A fucking old guy, dude. She's the person who made Brat Summer. Yeah, yeah. She didn't make it. It started from a tweet of hers. And it blew up from that. And what was the? She wasn't like, I'm going to start a thing. Well, yeah, but that's how it happens.
Starting point is 00:12:10 I think Taylor is a way in. What did she do? Okay. She tweeted something like all about Kamala, right? Oh, right. Okay. It's officially Brat Summer when she got the nomination when the Democratic Party fucked up everything. And let stupid fucking Joe Biden stay there for so fucking long. Fuck! Anyway, not a political show. Anyway, this bullshit happened.
Starting point is 00:12:33 Anyway, she made a movie recently. Like, she's like, I don't know anything about Charlie X-C-I-X-X-X-X-X-L-C-X-L-X-I, V. But like, is it good to be Brad? I think she's like, yeah, in her terms of what. Got it. I think she's like talented. Tay, am I wrong? She's talented, yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:51 She's talented, okay. What was she in faces of death? I saw half that movie. Yeah, she's like getting to movies. She directed a movie. She's got a new movie coming out. What she looked like? She's really young, if I'm not mistaken.
Starting point is 00:13:02 No, she's like. She's not that young. Put her face up. Go to like a, I don't know. What does she play in faces of bed? What do you mean? She looks like she's fucking, that's 20,000 pictures of her. I can't really tell.
Starting point is 00:13:16 You're not going to. get a better one. She's always wearing like big black Prada sunglasses. Yeah. I don't know what, I don't know who she is till now. This is it. I didn't know who she was. I mean, that's usually me. I know. I'm usually. So she's very, she's very famous. She's extremely famous. Wow, really? Yeah. Wow. I miss me. She's like a very big, big, big. She's like a very prominent songwriter. Yeah. Okay. Oh, okay. For a lot of people. God. But also in her own right. And also in her own right, she's like a pop star. And now a director and I guess actress.
Starting point is 00:13:45 And she seems cool or no? Yeah, I think she's cool to me. She seems woke or no. I mean, the number one criteria is she seems woke, you know? Sure. She wrote Kamala is brat. Yeah, that seems woke, right? That doesn't seem woke.
Starting point is 00:13:58 That seems like she wanted Kamala instead of fucking Donald Trump. What would seem woke would be like vote for Kamala just because she's black? That's true. Yeah, you're right. You can like Kamala and not be woke, you know? Or vote against Trump and not be woke. No, I don't know what she did in face. I don't think she's known for being woke at all.
Starting point is 00:14:14 I think her movie's like super edgy and fucked actually. Cool. I think. I don't know. Cool. We're gonna watch it. So go, go to the, who is you playing? Her movie's called The Moment.
Starting point is 00:14:23 Oh yeah. This is the- Alexander Scarzgard is in it, right? Or something like that. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, it's a mockumentary? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:30 It's about like her being a pop star. Oh, okay. Okay. And I think the rise of Brat. Oh, really? But I haven't seen it. So, I mean. Guessing.
Starting point is 00:14:39 Oh, yeah. Okay. Oh, you're right. Look, the kid was right after all. That's so funny, bro. that's probably the most famous person I didn't know who it was I guess Charlie X the X X XO I thought it was a rapper I mean it sounds like a rapper for sure no it's it's it's L is at the end I thought it was just X X no I'm just making oh stupid all right well anyway um numerals you know hey guys join our Patreon that will be really great for this show patreon dot com slash lifeline luxury we love it and uh it's fun it's fun it's it's bad like three a month.
Starting point is 00:15:09 It's good and it's just banter me and my brother. Banta. Just sick in it. Just get that show. Subscribe to this channel on YouTube, Super Good Studios. Do not forget to do that. And of course,
Starting point is 00:15:19 subscribe to my Patreon. Join on up. You know what's interesting about my show if you don't mind me saying? Okay. No, I'm not going to get into some, like, it's the greatest.
Starting point is 00:15:28 I'm not going to do that. Oh, okay. The Discord is open to all members. Mm-hmm. Okay. And we have like 3,000 members now. Okay. That was a mistake.
Starting point is 00:15:37 because when you open it all the way up to every single person, there's some freaks and creeps. Yeah. And we did that because we thought, oh, we might as well broaden the community to see how much fun it is, see what happens. It got too crazy.
Starting point is 00:15:53 Yeah. So now we've got to close back the doors to the members, but it sucks because only a few bad apples ruined everything. That's how it always is, man. It is, dude. Yeah, it sucks. Bad apples. Yeah, it sucks.
Starting point is 00:16:05 People don't want people to be irregular. Apple. Just have fun, yeah. Be a regular Apple. Don't come in here like it's Tinder. You know what I mean? Yeah, yeah, yeah. You can date on it? They think they can. Oh. They come in, but it's not just guys. Women do it too. It's just like it's crazy.
Starting point is 00:16:22 People are crazy. People are really crazy. Anyway, you know. You said date? Become a member. People are trying to date each other? No, just like creeps. On there, creeps are like trying to get in there, slide in there. And not even in DMs sometimes. On your Patreon? On my Discord. The Discord, the community, yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:39 I wonder if that's typical of other discords. It's got to be to a degree, but it's just weird when a new person slides in and hits on five people in a row. And like any of those five people are going to be like, oh, hey, what's going on? You know what I mean? I just saw it didn't work with the other people. I'll go with you. Anyway, yeah, okay. Well, let's do a...
Starting point is 00:17:00 Well, before we get into this, did you guys see The Odyssey? I have not seen it yet, no. Still neither of you, okay. Have you? Yeah, yeah, we saw it. You said you hated it, right? I hated it. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:17:10 But I thought maybe you guys had seen it. No. Chris, have you seen it? Uh-huh. And? And I liked it. I'll see it, but I just not yet, you know, I'll probably wait till it comes out on. Stop me if I've said this before.
Starting point is 00:17:23 I'll watch it on his phone. I'll probably watch it on my phone. Here's my thing. I want to see it, but I think the only way to see it is the way it's being presented, not the only way. But the way to see it is to see it the way it's presented now. Because it's that kind of movie and he made it to be specific. for that massive format, massive experience.
Starting point is 00:17:41 Not being said, I'm going to miss it in theaters. So, like, I'm a bit torn about when that might happen, when I'll see it. I have a weird thing about this movie, though, and we can get into submissions in one second, especially if I've already spoken about this. But I think it's endlessly weird still. When I first heard the news and still the same amount, I feel this way, that Matt Damon was playing. Yeah, you said that here.
Starting point is 00:18:04 and yeah, it's, I mean, he's good. It's not the, no, no, he's great. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But it's like, it's not, yeah, Russell Crow makes sense as a gladiator. Christian Bale, but like Matt, Matt Damon to me. I don't know. I just don't know, you know, you're not saying?
Starting point is 00:18:19 Yeah, there, yeah. Did you want like an English? Or I want like a nobody theater actor. I wouldn't say, kill it or, like someone who was kind of a little bit known for like these kinds of epics, like in action and stuff like that. But Matt Damon to me is like, he's the dude, he's Goodwill Hunting, he's downsizing. I know he's Jason Bourne. I know he can do it.
Starting point is 00:18:41 He's a great actor. But like, it's still, you're Chris Nolan. You could pick anyone. Yeah, yeah, it is pretty weird. You could literally pick any actor besides maybe Daniel D. D. Louis and Denzo Washington. Those are the only two people that would have said no. You think, Denzel?
Starting point is 00:18:55 Denzel would have been like, what the fuck? I'm not playing a business. So he's not like big enough. Like, it's not that. He's just not. He feels like a little too. like known as like a celeb right as like as Matt Damon as Matt Damon you know what I mean almost a little Tom Cruisey yeah and it's like it's like I kind of want to you to me it's like
Starting point is 00:19:15 you want to get lost in the experience of the Odyssey instead of being like oh look at Matt I agree with that it wasn't a ship you know I agree with that thank you yeah I've I've agreed with that oh okay he's he's yeah he's not he's you know he can do it but he he's not of course yeah he's not the guy let it be the story not the actor what's up let it be the story not that yeah yeah yeah exactly yeah anyway i didn't i don't mean to detour too much but that said i i think i'm sure he's great in it by the way he was good yeah i was gonna say he just he's always good yes he's always good i mean he said it's the most like it's the most unforgettable and important experience he'll ever oh wow that's cool which i found kind of
Starting point is 00:19:56 interesting but and it wasn't we bought a zoo that and we bought a zoo were the two that and we bought We're the two. We're the two. That was number two. Yeah. All right. All right. Well, let's do a submission, yeah? Wow, we bought a zoo.
Starting point is 00:20:09 I forgot about that. What's up? Chris and Matt. Chris Marco. It's Anthony here from the Bay Area. Hell yeah, Anthony. Long time listener, first time submissioner. Chris had been following you since 2017.
Starting point is 00:20:19 Stocker. When I stumbled across in Corch Bowl on Netflix, I know in two years later to the game, came on 2015. But, dude, you're my favorite comedian. You're funny as fuck, dude. Thanks, bro. So fucking fun. Hell you.
Starting point is 00:20:29 Matt, you look great today? Matt. I'm rocking my best hearing speed today. Oh, look at that. I know, I can't rock the long dangling name with you. You should try it. I bet you can. I'm not as cool as you.
Starting point is 00:20:38 I bet you can. But yeah, you can pull that off, which is dope. What got to fucking, Christy looks for today. Yeah. Loss is fucking much. Sneezing. Jerking a guy up blind.
Starting point is 00:20:47 He's great today, too. Anyways. Does he have something to say? No. My question is, how to become more authentically yourself. What does that look like? Both your guys' takes, Marco, I'd like to know what his take is as well. and yeah just ways to become more authentically yourself
Starting point is 00:21:07 and be comfortable in that, you know, without kind of being like an asshole, you know? So, yeah. Damn. Something interesting. Do you have anything to say? Because I can jump in. I was at the gym.
Starting point is 00:21:20 Oh. And somebody said, oh, man, you need to come out with an app or something, a fitness app, right? Okay. And I go like this. I don't think anyone wants to look like me, right? Just as a joke, I don't know. Or as like a thing to say, modesty slash humor.
Starting point is 00:21:37 Yeah. Yeah. And they said, friendly. And they said, uh, nah, don't don't, no, dude, you've had such a transformation. Bracken. And, and I'm like, and I said, yeah, I know, I was just joking. So here's the point. The point is.
Starting point is 00:21:53 Braggin. Here's the point. I was bragging. No, no, here's the point. Here's the point. I was modest and I said the thing. Uh, uh, And then the person said, like, took it kind of seriously.
Starting point is 00:22:09 Like, right? Like they didn't just say, ah, ha, they said, no, they took it and went, you know. Yeah. And at that moment, I thought, oh, fucking great. This person really thinks I'm that insecure that I would say something like that. Right? Okay. Okay.
Starting point is 00:22:25 And then, uh, some people also just don't understand self deprecation even like this I understand. I understand. still there was that thought I had. Yeah, yeah, yeah, okay. And I'm not that guy. You know, I'm a confident person. I don't give a fuck, right?
Starting point is 00:22:39 But all of a sudden, I found myself wanting to clear that up and wanting to be like, listen, I'm not. Excuse me, sorry? Yeah. I walk joking. I don't, I know I'm, I'm not, I'm being modic. Like, I know I'm yo. I think I've worked. I know I'm yo.
Starting point is 00:22:53 No, I, I know I've made progress. Like I don't, but then I'm like, if I do that, it'll come off weird. I'll be, feel weird. And then I thought, this guy's not, I said what this guy's saying. This guy's not getting like, getting, this guy is not getting how I am. He's not understanding what I'm like, right? So, um, the next thing was, oh shit, that sucks. I don't like that.
Starting point is 00:23:21 I don't like to be misunderstood. But then I thought, oh, wait, I don't give a fuck. I, I have to just not care. You have to not care or you just don't anymore? No, no, no. I thought, wait. wait, I'm just making all of this up in my head. Does it matter if this guy thinks I felt insecure when he said that?
Starting point is 00:23:40 It doesn't matter at all. It doesn't matter, right? So I left it alone and I kept working out. And eventually, he made the app. I made an app. So eventually is I forgot about it. And my whole point is the whole time we were talking, I wanted there to be a certain way he thought about me.
Starting point is 00:24:03 You know what I mean? Like there was one thing that happened. I go, oh, I wanted him to think I was modest and that fucked up. And then I wanted him to think I was joking because I didn't want him to think I was insecure. And then that fucked up. And then my point is, there's nothing you can do to make people, everybody, understand who you are.
Starting point is 00:24:25 So just be who you are is my point. You know, when I, in that very, you know, sometimes this happens. It happens over a lifetime. You're like, oh, I'm insecure. I'm not insecure. That all happened in one fucking little thing right there. Right. You know, it was like a microcosm.
Starting point is 00:24:41 And I was like, oh, this is so, this is so something that is just like palpable to me to like how people are. It's like I actually don't really care, but I'm putting this importance on it. And it's because I want this guy to think a certain thing of me, but I'm just me. Who gives a fuck? You know? I'm working out for my health. It's great. I look better.
Starting point is 00:25:06 But like I also am not doing it for that guy. And I'm never going to talk to this guy again. Like it was just like so much that I went through in this little moment. And it was one of those moments where I actually have thought about it in the past few days. Because and then when you brought it up, it made me think of it again because like, dude, it's just even figuring out who you are sometimes is tough because you're looking at it through the lens of other people. like I was doing. But you just, just do what you do.
Starting point is 00:25:36 Like, like, when you came up on the, uh, video and we're like, I can't wear one of those things, you know, you were probably just joking.
Starting point is 00:25:42 Yeah, sure. Right. But if you really felt that, then that sucks. Just put it on. Yeah. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:25:48 Yeah. Like you, you, there's a difference between, uh, um, look at this cool earring I'm wearing and here's me with this hearing. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:26:00 Like you, you're you. just be you. Who cares? Yeah. You know? I don't know if that... I was walking down the street the other day with my friend and there was a guy that
Starting point is 00:26:09 walked by us with Camel pants on. And the guy I was with is pretty traditional. Yeah. In the way, his style at least. And he was like, oh, man, those pants are so cool. And I was like, do you own camel pants? And he was like, no. And I was like, well, why don't you get a pair?
Starting point is 00:26:23 And he was like, no, I could never wear those. Yeah. And I was like, well, what do you mean? I was like, what do you mean you could never wear those? And he's like, I don't know. it's just like, I feel like I have my style and it doesn't really fit my style. And that was your friend, the priest, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:37 And he had the collar on and then just a camel pants. Camas shorts. And it struck me that like, I can't imagine living in a brain that is like, oh, I like that. I want that. But that ain't me. To me, those all flow together in a way. So I think it's a bit about just like,
Starting point is 00:27:01 following your instincts. I'm not saying get a dangling earring if you don't actually want one. But like, don't rule yourself out, dude. Don't tell yourself it's not going to look fly and it's going to and it's going to look wavy. You know what I'm saying? Like you never know. That's one. Two, there's not to get fucking totally nerdy on you, but there's something literally a term called the authentic self. Tay, look it up. I think it's Donald Winnicott was the guy's name. I think it was a child psychologist, something like that. And his theory was that we all have authentic selves. And in that we are, as we grow, that authentic self is sort of layered and papered and
Starting point is 00:27:42 cemented over by society, by sometimes your parents, sometimes whatever, school, or some, whatever it is, friends, bullies, whatever, bad experiences, good experiences. But your whole rest of your life's journey in a positive way. is returning back to whatever that authentic self is. That doesn't mean you're throwing shit in people's faces like you would at two years old, authentic self, you know? Which I still do. A lot of people are suppressed when they're very young
Starting point is 00:28:14 and it teaches you to stop trying the thing or stop doing the thing that comes very naturally to you. And it's difficult as an adult to get back in touch with, well, what moves me? What do I want to do? What are the things that I like? Oh, no, I shouldn't do that, for example, with the earring. Again, joking or not. Should I do that? Should I not? I don't know. I don't know. Fuck that. Get the earring. Now, I know. Again, you might not want that the earring. But in general, let's broaden it and say, as a conclusion, fuck that, get the earring. You know what I mean? As a rule of thumb, even if it's not the earring, fuck that, get the earring. I think is the road to the authentic self.
Starting point is 00:28:54 Yeah. Hates it. Hey, it's the take. No, I do like that, but also don't be fucking annoying. What's that mean? Also, that's just true in general. That's like saying also don't kill people. Yeah, don't do that. Don't kill people. Well, if your true self is like, I got to kill people. Well, then you should, you know, you're in trouble.
Starting point is 00:29:12 There are those people and those people are in trouble. Yep. That's what I'm saying. Well, that's a small portion of society, but it only applies to them. And I wonder if any watch this show. Killers? Yeah, definitely. How many do you think watch a show?
Starting point is 00:29:27 I think every single time that this show has been watched, it's been watched by killers. I'm saying how many per episode if you're... I don't know, but absolute... I know you don't know. Because we don't know, because we don't have the... It's not in our demo. Yeah, we don't, yeah. Right, but I don't have the demographics, but like what percent, like what, like, like maybe three per episode more?
Starting point is 00:29:51 Three? I'm asking, I'm just asking... What's the criteria that somebody has killed somebody? Killed someone, yeah. Because that includes... military and let's no no no let's you know what a killer is let's keep it to Ted Bundy zone not zero killer killed at least one person out of either rage or frustration or not war not war no sure not self-defense not war brings the
Starting point is 00:30:12 average down a little bit obviously sure I mean it won one one on average zero or one no most not zero every single time at least one I don't know we got a lot of people who listen and watch I mean it's like fully believe that I think I sometimes I'm like, well, okay. Hold on. If we look up like what's a general, what's the percentage of how many people kill people? Yeah. Then you could apply that percentage to our. Say in a group of 75,000 people typically how many would have been, will have been killers or something like that.
Starting point is 00:30:46 Did you say what's a, yeah. This is like a. There's an obviously there's no. Obviously, but like. An average homicide rate of about one victim per 100,000 people. 6.1 victims. Oh, oh, 6.1. That's just a homicide rate. That's not a crime. Right, right. So we're okay, but that's still, you know, it's close enough. Both people get killed. Less than 0.01%. But a lot of those people are repeat offenders. Most of the people are repeat offenders. Let's say one or two per episode. I say, yeah. One. Whoever you are, stop killing. Nish, niche, stop killing. Just don't do it next time. And the result is not, don't kill. Okay, next submission. Hey, Chris and Matt, Dushan here. I'm calling from Serbia.
Starting point is 00:31:30 I'm a long-time listener, but first time submissioner, I guess. So I'm 26 and I'm getting married in one and a half months. Nice. We've been planning for this day for over a year. And we've put together a decently large wedding with around 350 invited guests. And yesterday we got some bad news that my finances, grandmother's state has gotten worse. The woman has been battling cancer for over two years. And at her age, we knew it was only a matter of time before this would happen.
Starting point is 00:32:06 We don't know if she will make it until the wedding, basically. I'm well aware of the difficulty of the situation for my fiancee and her parents. However, I cannot see myself moving the wedding after so much effort and money was put into the whole organization. And mind you, my fiance is, not very attached to this grandmother. Oh. So it would mostly be her mom that would be in grief. I've tried talking to my fiance in order to get a sense of what she and her parents
Starting point is 00:32:37 are thinking about. But those conversations have mostly ended with them saying, I hope grandma gets better in time for the wedding. Better? It just seems like there is no backup plan in place. We're just hoping that she gets better. I don't know how to navigate this situation anymore and this suspense is really killing
Starting point is 00:33:00 so any advice would help guys thanks I mean I think it's as simple The one killer to watch just wants to speed anything on No I obviously joking uh I also hope she gets better in time for the wedding But assuming she doesn't What are we going to do? Are we going to cancel the wedding?
Starting point is 00:33:16 No you that's how you approach it And the answer will be no I mean anybody in their right mind would not cancel their wedding. Why don't you think that's what your grandma would want? Over the death of your grandma that you're not even close to. That you're not even sure is going to happen by then. Right.
Starting point is 00:33:32 You know what I mean? Like, yeah, you can't, you can't just postpone it. Yeah, I mean, you're going to just lose more and more money as the date approaches. You just have to hope she makes it through this moment. And if she does, that's great. And if she doesn't, you still have the wedding. If you're talking about how to handle your anxiety. Trust me, dude.
Starting point is 00:33:51 You're getting married. Yeah, yeah, yeah. There's no handling your anxiety. In a month and a half. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You just are. This is what you're letting your anxiety attach itself to.
Starting point is 00:33:59 Yeah, there's no, have no anxiety about the wedding moving. It's not. It's not getting canceled. It's not getting moved. You are getting married. And even, whether the mother's in grief there or not. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:11 That's not out of your control. And even if you do get, uh, oh, fuck, I forget what I was going to say, damn. Damn. No. well it's going to be good it was going to be great it's going to be the highlight of the episode highlight of the episode i think i was going to say something like even if she uh even if you
Starting point is 00:34:29 do i don't know whatever but just wow you're going to be so you're going to be even if you do figure it out you're going to be anxious about something else you're getting married it's just too much this is what your anxiety is fixated on you know you need to just get through this wedding bro and it's going to be sad when she dies two things are true i mean he's not going to be sad his wife's Yeah, but he's going to be sad for his wife. He's going to be sad for his wife's mom. I mean, you know. It sounds like his wife's not going to be that sad.
Starting point is 00:34:54 Death is sad, period. Yeah, but it's sad. Yeah. No, it'll be sad. But like, you know, life, it's kind of beautiful. Yeah. Life ends. A new coupling begins.
Starting point is 00:35:04 It's blossoming into the world. I mean, they're probably going to get divorced within two years like most people. But like, whatever, you know what I mean? Is that really? It's still beautiful moments. I don't know about in Serbia. In Serbia, Serbia, they probably stay married until they're fucking dead. Yeah, that's true.
Starting point is 00:35:16 It's freezing in here. It's Serbia in. here. Yeah. Fucking bell grade up in this bitch. Can you make it warmer? It's first again here. Can you turn off the Arctic AC? Is it too cold? Oh yeah. Oh, just said it six times. Oh yeah. That's why I asked you if you could turn on it. Oh, it's real cold. You got old machines in there. It might be hot, but it's not hot. It's why I put my. Yeah, 68's freezing. 68's very cold. And also, since it's so hot outside, it's run an extra. And also, you saw, if you really were observant, you would have noticed I put a thin layer jacket on. waving to us.
Starting point is 00:35:50 Just waved to us for no reason at all. And you would have been a good producer and noticed him, thought, oh, he's probably cold. Yeah. And handled it. Instead, we had to say something. He's not listening at all. He's absolutely not listening even a little bit. Stood up, not listening at all.
Starting point is 00:36:07 Yeah. So anyway, yeah, that's going to be all good. I mean, tragedy, but, you know, life goes on. People die. It happens. It sucks that she's dying in pain. The show must go on. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:19 You're right? Yeah, it's just that. The button? Yeah. Gotcha. I mean, Arnold Schwarzenegger. Yeah. It's just the, the chair.
Starting point is 00:36:25 I have to get a long pants, a hell of a saddle and a towel. Anyway, um, so that's it. My abs are sore. Fuck. Nice, dude. I'm doing chin up. Do a pull-ups. Didn't ask.
Starting point is 00:36:38 Okay. Uh, want to do a new one? Oh, shit. Guys, I'm listening to the newest episode. Don't know what it's called. Don't care. Dick. Okay.
Starting point is 00:36:46 The villain. A villain. And, uh, Chris is talking about. You guys are talking about how Chris was just hanging out with a friend and said, why did I do that? And like how Chris, you were saying like, whatever. The joke. I'm exactly like that too. I told you.
Starting point is 00:37:01 What's wrong with us? Well, you know him. The other people that listen to this podcast that are like that. Like, why? Dude, my friend left the other day. And I was just after hanging out of my house and I was like, what the fuck was that? Whoa. I liked it.
Starting point is 00:37:16 But like, it's just over? I thought there's just me going Yeah And I'm like While we're doing it like When I'm not laughing And I like have a minute to think I'm like
Starting point is 00:37:28 We're just like doing this Like willingly and not talking about the fact that we're doing this willingly And like I don't know like what's Yeah When he We need to figure this out When he's other people send in submissions To drunk send in submissions
Starting point is 00:37:45 And tell us what's wrong with us please When he's you guys When he says it, it sounds not like I mean it. Yeah, well, he has a brain tumor, just to be clear. He's in my Patreon. He's a member. I always bust his balls and I saved his life. Anyway, that's a short story.
Starting point is 00:38:03 Keep going to be okay. He is? Yeah, yeah. Oh, fuck. That's awesome, dude. God, that's so fucking awesome. That's why I feel so comfortable busting his balls, yeah. Jesus, that's great.
Starting point is 00:38:14 Fuck, yeah. Anyway, I just don't, what, what is? What is, what is, to address him. Yeah. Uh-huh. What the fuck do you mean? What is this and why are we not talking about what the, we're doing? You're a fucking ape.
Starting point is 00:38:32 Okay. Okay. So hold on. So, so Brian Herslinger and Jeff Gerwood came over last night. Okay. Wow. What? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:41 That's sick. Wow. It was very good to see them. I had a lot of fun. I'm sure it was. I haven't seen them in a while. Mm-hmm. and that was good.
Starting point is 00:38:53 Okay? So there are times... That's different, though, because that's like you haven't seen them forever. Yes, okay. That's what I was going to say. So that is different. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:02 But this is just a buddy come over and hang. Yeah. That's weird to me. I don't know, bro. But what do you... Like, we're... I specifically notice.
Starting point is 00:39:11 In response to me saying this, we are inherently wired as social animals. Therefore, how is it still weird? Like it's, there are other things about us biologically that are weird too. We don't stop all day and think about that. I know. So what's good about this? I particularly notice when I go over someone's house.
Starting point is 00:39:31 I'm like less when people are yours? Yeah, less. I'm like, why? Like, why am I here? Maybe it's simply, I have kids, I have work, I have too much stuff going on. Why did I come over? Maybe it's simply that. Dude, that's the reason to do it.
Starting point is 00:39:49 I know. If you're sitting around with your thumb up your ass all day, I mean, still do it, obviously. But like, it's less important even to do it then. Like, when you have a jam-pack schedule, it's worth, I mean, I'm not saying every day or even every week necessarily. But you've got to fit this shit in, dude. It's like part of your nourishment of your life. And if you're sitting there questioning, why am I doing this? I don't know, man.
Starting point is 00:40:16 It's like, it seems to be symptomatic. probably now and increasingly so as time moves forward. Like, why am I with a real person? Right, right, right, right. Because we are designed to be with real people. Right. It's as simple as that. And I can't believe you're clipping your fucking nails while we're watching this,
Starting point is 00:40:37 watching, doing the show. John Malkovich in the movie Nail Clipper. I can't believe you're clipping your nails while we're doing the show. What are you going to fucking fire your toenails next? You think that's that weird? I think it's extremely weird that it's even on the fucking table. deal. It's not a big deal, but you don't find that fucking weird that a podcast host during the podcast clips their nails? No. During the show? No. No. Survey says. Not, not this podcast. I mean,
Starting point is 00:41:04 it was fucking, if it was, you know, sure, if it was the daily, but like, yeah, it's weird. It's weird. It's weird. Okay, one. I sat down with the, the only things that are a mainstay on the table are the toenail, the, the nail clippers. To basketball. sauce and salt. Are the nail clippers always on the table? Talk about cereal killer. They're always there.
Starting point is 00:41:24 Yeah, always. And in golden hour. Wow, you're like a really shitty supervillain. I, like, why are you carrying those around with you? I, I love keeping my nails trim.
Starting point is 00:41:38 Fuck you guys, and you don't bite them. But do it, but trim them after and in between shows. I guess I'm trying to do time management. I mean, so annoying, dude. No, no, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:41:51 It's just that's... I love it. I love it. Okay. I'm just saying, I mean, it's weird. Yeah. Hey, what do you think? No, I...
Starting point is 00:41:59 Um... Buthead! Buccane! Fucking butthead. I mean, you're acting like it's brushing your teeth during the podcast. I'm overreacting, but I'm still... Okay. I think it's still within the range of reasonable.
Starting point is 00:42:14 What do you think, to... I would... But I want to say, it is kind of weird. Okay, okay. Yeah. Okay. Taye? I think it's fine.
Starting point is 00:42:23 Yeah, I knew he would. I think everything's fucking fun. That's true. I think it's fine if we wiped their ass on the fucking tape. Here's a bunch of Russians last night. Yeah, exactly. Got three hours of sleep with a bunch of Russians doing tons of coke and meth. Thinks anything fun.
Starting point is 00:42:34 Shot somebody last night, you know. He's the killer that was a shot. Just like watching me. I had to get rid of him, you know. Yeah, I don't. Yeah, it's not that the daily dude. I sat down with the, with the with the CEO of sound uh yeah i completely forgot what led us here but anyway i guess a new
Starting point is 00:42:59 submission hi chris and matt a long-time listener first-time submitter um so i'll try to get right to the point here um so i consider myself to be a pretty self-aware individual um i feel like I'm pretty in tune with my mannerisms and just kind of how I am. Now, I'm Korean. My body language, things like that. And something that I've noticed is that depending on who I'm around, there will be times where my voice will kind of go a little bit higher register. Sure.
Starting point is 00:43:31 And then there will be other times where my voice is pretty normal when I'm talking to you right now. Right. And what I've noticed is that it really depends on my level, I think, of course. comfortability with the people that I'm around or the situation possibly. And like the more uncomfortable I am, or maybe if I'm in a situation where I'm kind of unsure of myself, I've noticed that I'm kind of more higher register. But if I'm around people or in a situation where I'm super comfortable, for the most part, I'll just be speaking normal.
Starting point is 00:44:09 And so I guess my question is how do I stop that? Is there a way to stop that? What would you suggest? How do I put myself or get myself to a state where I can be just comfortable all the time and just speak normal all the time instead of varying my voice from high to low register? And have you guys ever dealt with anything like that? Is there any? Sometimes it just has to do with excitement. You're in a new situation.
Starting point is 00:44:43 You want people to think good of you. That you're in. So yeah, it's pretty much it. Love the show, guys. Keep it up. Thanks, dude. I mean, I think we changed the tone and pitch of our voice depending upon the scenario that we're in.
Starting point is 00:44:57 And so if you're like seeing someone you don't see often, your voice might go up a little bit. Yeah. And if you see someone you see all the time, it might be a little lower in your natural register. Hey, man, I'm so comfortable. But like, what I think's happening here, and I'm not here to psychoanalyze you,
Starting point is 00:45:10 but like you're reverse engineering it as a problem. Yeah, it's not a problem. You're like, how do I stop doing this? It's, it's, there's no reason to do that. It's, it's, it's what humans do. And like that, it's not, I actually don't think it's a matter of comfort, comfortability.
Starting point is 00:45:27 I think it's a matter of like us being wired to go into situations. Mm-hmm. And, and not be liked, but like, yeah, be accepted. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And, and, and, and, I think that we have it in our collective mind that approaching people with not necessarily a higher register, but like a peppier one or a friendlier one or whatever is more liable to make them like you.
Starting point is 00:45:52 And I think that that's not something to overthink. It's just something that happens. And if you go in and you're like, hey, then you're like, sure, there's a problem. That's a problem. But like, nice to meet you. Something tells me you're not like pitching up four octaves. and it's like, people are like, what's up with that guy? Only dogs hear it?
Starting point is 00:46:11 I think it's only, only dolphins. Dolphins on your lawn. With the DoorDash guys here, hey! I just, yeah, I just don't think it's a problem. And I think it's something that the more you think about how to fix it, the worse it's going to get. I would pull the plug on trying to fix this asap. That's my advice to you.
Starting point is 00:46:29 I'm just so comfortable sometimes with people that I talk so low that I'm just like. Vin Diesel. That's what I get so low. Sometimes I'm so comfortable. Boy, I just fall asleep. Oh, man. Dude, I feel so safe with you. In a K-hole.
Starting point is 00:46:48 Oh, man. I play Vaki. We'll offer you $25 million. No. We'll offer you $6 billion. No. We'll give you superhuman powers. No.
Starting point is 00:47:03 You can control the universe. I play Vaki. Sir, are you listening? I don't play Rocky. It worked out for him. I mean, not, well, unless you own the fucking universe. No, that would have been better. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:21 You can be Thanos. Mo. Who's Thanos at that point? Yeah, yeah. But yeah. I don't think it's a problem. And I think to focus on it as a problem, even if you were to quote unquote fix it,
Starting point is 00:47:36 it would be more work and not worth it to fix that problem than it would be to spend energy elsewhere. Now, having become aware of it makes me think you're like a smart person, you're keenly self-aware, but I don't think it's something to like fix. This does not seem like a thing that is like a fix. We'll let you, you can constantly be busting nuts and have access to the hottest women of all time. A plevaki.
Starting point is 00:48:06 You could have all the, you could be the world's first trillionaire, not Elon Musk. I'm gonna play Vicky. Everybody in the meeting just like, why she keeps saying just the same. And they're fucking with them too, even. They're like,
Starting point is 00:48:19 they're just like, this guy's a dumb ass. Yeah, this guy, can this guy say other words? Does he just say? I play Rocky. Ask about something else. I like I play Rocky,
Starting point is 00:48:27 not I'm playing Rocky. Do you like, yeah, ask him some of them. When did you learn how to ride a bike? I play bike. Yeah, exactly. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:36 Oh, dude, he's not, he doesn't know what he's turning down. He's just saying shit. I guess we're not making it unless he's in it, you know? Yeah. They just do it anyway. That's how he's strong-armed him. He just said that over and over. We watched that on luxury, right?
Starting point is 00:48:54 Not yet. Oh, we didn't? We have to. Yeah, we're going to get into that next. Okay. Speaking of Rocky. I'm realizing there was a guy like three guys ago. In an orgy.
Starting point is 00:49:05 Who specifically asked for my, my input and I didn't give it. He did? Yeah, he did actually. Oh, I didn't even notice that. But I'm not, I don't have input for him. Oh, then great. Oh, dude, just stopped the show for no reason.
Starting point is 00:49:17 I play Rocky. I just, good jobs. Just fucking the, that was. Record scratched the show. The single worst moment of our show. And we've had some bad moments. Yeah, that was the top. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:29 That was the tipy time. I just want to interrupt. This guy fucking 30 minutes ago wanted my input. I don't know how many. Everyone had absolutely forgotten. Even that guy. I want him to know. I didn't forget.
Starting point is 00:49:42 You want your in consideration of him. Yeah. Okay. I get it. Okay. Well, all right. And others. And others. And others what?
Starting point is 00:49:49 Oh, wow. You also wanted to know. Yeah. Like, people were like, fuck that. Marco didn't chime into the thing. I hate this show. That fucking sucks. I play Vaki.
Starting point is 00:49:56 Goodbye. They get offline. Hey guys. Kayla from New Brunsville Canada. What's up? I just had a question about. out parenting, I guess. I have a seven-year-old daughter and my husband's mom likes to talk to her about religion
Starting point is 00:50:13 for some reason. For some reason? And I don't really align with the things that she aligns with, I guess. So I'm just wondering what I should do. Should I say something to her? Should I just let it slide and not bring it up? I just need help. What do we do?
Starting point is 00:50:31 Do I just let it go? Help me. Well, there's a huge, love you guys. There's a huge, love you too. There's a huge thing that we're missed, piece of information that we're missing, which is if she's religious at all, even in a non-denominational,
Starting point is 00:50:46 very vague spiritual way, and what the mother-in-law is imparting on a seven-year-old. So what I mean is, if this family is a vaguely Christian, like a lot of families. Right. But this other woman is like, you know, preaching like hardcore Islam, then that would be a massive, massive, massive problem. But what I would imagine, it's within the same realm of the same religion.
Starting point is 00:51:12 It's just like a much more hardcore version of that. Either way, I think the approach is, in so many words, absolutely never do that with my child. If my kid is seven and even my own parent is doing this about religion with my seven-year-old, I'm like It's one of the more important things to me in my life Like do not Indctrinate my child With some shit that you and your fucking old ass
Starting point is 00:51:42 Weird ass brain thinks needs to be in my seven year old's head Yeah, I mean That's like way above and beyond the line Now if it's to me to me If it's something like You know she's just like Vagely mentioning God That's why yeah
Starting point is 00:51:58 Then that's you know I don't know if that's That's that bad, but you can... Unless they're hardcore atheists and then it's like, that is bad. Right, right, right. You could, and then just have a conversation. The kid's seven. Like, you know, Calvin and Billy, somebody is like, well, you know, that God made, you know, I don't care.
Starting point is 00:52:13 You know, it's like, he'll figure it out himself when he gets older. Well, that's different, though. Right. You know, it would be like if mom was like, you know, Calvin. You have to do it because Jesus and, you know, what they said about the seven deadly sins. You'd be like, Mom, what the fuck are you doing? Do you know the story of Cain and Aval? Let me tell it to you.
Starting point is 00:52:28 Have you seen David Fincher's seven? well it's based on the serial killer and you're just like mom yeah dude um yeah that's I feel like a lot of people run into this problem um grandparents take so much shit for granted they're just like I well I own
Starting point is 00:52:45 this kid kind of and it's like you actually don't you own the kid that is fucked up trying to raise the kid not fucked up that's the kid you own own rather and Steve their child is free of you and you fucking them up. So let that be and take your hands off and just buy them some fucking gifts, give them hugs and be the cool grandma.
Starting point is 00:53:11 Not the grandmother talks about the book of fucking John. Right, right. You know what I mean? Job. Or Job even better. Yeah, and honestly, Sadiever. So it's all good. And, yeah, I don't like any of that stuff.
Starting point is 00:53:24 I mean, look, you know, whatever you want to believe, I think that you should have. all the options kind of just like have all the options and not be indoctrinated, you know. You mean let the kid find it. Yeah. You know, you want to believe in what you believe in, them believe in what you believe in, whatever. It's like, you know, I don't know, raising somebody, if everybody's on the same page, fine, you know, and, and, you know, this is what we believe in.
Starting point is 00:53:49 And you want to expose your kid to that, sure. But, I mean, we were raised Catholic, or non-practicing Catholic. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right, right.
Starting point is 00:53:57 Right. But we, I mean, that doesn't mean, like, I mean, actually, I would take this back. There were some things about being raised Catholic that definitely fucked me up. Like, I remember, the first time we did confessional. Do you remember this? I was, do you remember doing first time? Oh. Confessional?
Starting point is 00:54:13 With a priest? No. You're really young. It's like, you're like nine. It's, you're young. And you have to come up with things that you've done that are bad. Oh, that's fucked up. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:23 And I remember thinking, I don't think I've. really been that bad? Like, I couldn't think of anything. Right, right, right, right. You know? Well, yeah, you're nine. Exactly. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:54:32 And so I literally said, I, I've kicked my brother in the shins. Oh. And I've yelled that my mom once. And you never apologized for me for that. And I was like, at the time I was so scared. Yeah, that's in a room, a dark room with a thin veil between me and this old random guy. I didn't know who it was. And he's stroking you all.
Starting point is 00:54:51 And now I'm, you know, I mean, hey. And in some case, like, now I think back. and I think that's so fucked up and scary why would they do that to me? You're just fucking in darkness and he's stroking you off and you're like,
Starting point is 00:55:04 I kick my brother in the skin shit. Besides the strokenoff, which does happen. Beef strogan off. Yeah. I mean, you know? You're eating beet strogan off. We'll say that instead so we know.
Starting point is 00:55:13 It's just like, how could that not scare a nine year old? No, it's crazy. You're telling them to come up with the things that they didn't even think about anyway? You got to make up shit that was bad? In between that screen door
Starting point is 00:55:25 and he's just fucking stroking you off. Stop with the jerking off. I'm just saying the Catholic Church is known to be have done that. Oh yeah? To serve beef stroganoff. Oh yeah? Breaking news. The Catholic Church to put it in code words so we don't get to monotage is.
Starting point is 00:55:41 The Catholic Church has been known to serve beef stroganoff to kids. That's very accurate. And guess what? Everyone knows that. The Catholic Church is not influencing YouTube. You know? That's also true. You can't say.
Starting point is 00:55:58 You can say whatever you want about Catholicism online. But you can't say, you know, sexual. Right, right, right, right, right. That's what I'm coding for YouTube. So you know what I mean when I say be stroganoff. I think we'll be okay. Yeah. Well, we'll definitely be okay if we say the Catholic Church Church
Starting point is 00:56:16 be strogan off. That's, yeah. But you know what I mean. Right. So you just made up stuff in confession? No, he did get me in the shins. that I made stuff up. That's fucked up.
Starting point is 00:56:25 It made me rack my brains because they made you prep for like a week to do confession. Oh, you did you did kick him in the shit. Yeah, yeah, but I had to like rack my brains like here's why it's fucked up. For confession. It's like, what did you do that was bad? And I'm thinking, I'm not bad. I'm not bad. I'm not bad.
Starting point is 00:56:42 Yeah, it's not good. It's, it's, I'm too young to think of being a bad person. If I had Calvin do that, oh my gosh. If I had Calvin do confession? That's what I'm talking about. Oh, my God. It makes kids think. Calvin's like an angel, you know.
Starting point is 00:56:57 Well, he's also, that's what you meant. He's really emotional. Yeah, exactly. He's very analytical. He's very like, am I bad? Yeah, dude. And that's how I was actually. Got it.
Starting point is 00:57:06 Got it. Sorry. And it fucked me up because I was like, why? I'm not bad. Yeah, you're like that too. But they were like, no, you've done bad stuff. And I'm like, what? Right.
Starting point is 00:57:14 Surely you've done something. Exactly. That's what it was like. Oh, my darling, you don't even know you have sin. And it was like some nun. He has some beef strogan off. It's a nun. So it's an authority figure.
Starting point is 00:57:23 I guess I did something fucking bad. Like, how fucked up is that? Think about that for real. It's fucked up. It's even fucked up if somebody does it to me now. Catholicism. And I love Beef Stroganoff. Deeply fucked up.
Starting point is 00:57:34 I'm always so shocked when an adult converts to Catholicism. Yeah, it's wild. I know an adult that did that. J.D. Vase did that. Did what? Convert as an adult. Just not listening in the slightest since the guy. Convert as an adult to Catholicism.
Starting point is 00:57:53 Jesus. It's his birthday today. What's up? It's his birthday. It's his birthday. Oh, he should have wished him on his birthday in the beginning. Today. Fucking blessings, huh?
Starting point is 00:58:00 I mean, it's obviously, you know. He's definitely in a Catholic church today. He turns 35. He looks so young. He turns Ozzympic. He's definitely on Ozempick, that guy, dude. I think Ozepic's fine, but like, me too. No, I'm not saying shit.
Starting point is 00:58:12 No, no, no, I know. I know, but it's just so funny that all these fucking, what bothers me is when people lie about it. Well, that's annoying as fuck. And also, what's bad is when a fat person like Amy Schumer or Lizzo or who's that Mindy Kaling? It's all body positivity. And then as soon as OZempic comes out, they just fucking use OZempic and they're like,
Starting point is 00:58:33 my glow up. Oh. Is that what happened with it? So you hated yourself. Yeah. Nobody wants to be fat. And if you're like- Well, it's a health hazard if nothing else.
Starting point is 00:58:42 Yeah. Like really not good. Yeah. Nobody wants to be fat. Hey, nobody wants to be even a little bit fat, though. Everyone wants to look their best. They just either want it a lot or not that much. And like, if you, if anyone could choose, they wouldn't be fat.
Starting point is 00:58:57 If you could just say, if a genie came down and said, do you want to, uh, do you want to be fat or not? You go like this, I play Vaki. You say, no, I don't want to be fat. Every single person. And then they go have a fucking plate of beef stroganoff. Well, that's what a Zimpeg is. Yeah, exactly. I mean, some people don't want to inject themselves and I understand that.
Starting point is 00:59:15 But that's not like a genie. A genie, you know, if anybody came. Genies are not like injections. No, genies, honestly, genie is nothing like. Well, anything medical, really. But, but, but, but, but, but, no, I just think that, uh, it's such horse shit. And, and, and, you know, I know that everyone deep down knows this, but it's so fucking weird that we need to pretend and play this dance and do this dance in the media. Well, no, there's the over the line thing where it's like body positivity and it's like, uh, what do you call it?
Starting point is 00:59:47 I forget the fucking word. But I'm going beyond. Um, toxic. But like, right. It's fine to be fucking fat. you're fine being fat. Who gives a fucking shit? Right.
Starting point is 00:59:55 Like it's, it might not be healthy, but I don't, who gives a fuck? No, you do what you. I don't give a fuck. Yeah, that's what I'm. Be fat.
Starting point is 01:00:01 Yeah, yeah. Be fat. Be fat. No, I'm commanding you to be fat. Me to you. Like God. Mm.
Starting point is 01:00:09 Eating something. Mm. Mm. Mm. All right. Yeah. So just, I fucking honestly just.
Starting point is 01:00:15 Be fat. That's a good title. Be fat. No, Beef Stroganoff is the title. Well, I mean, who the fuck is gonna watch a show called beef stroganoff?
Starting point is 01:00:23 Well, when they get it at the end of the episode, they go, oh. It's like the end of usual suspects. And then in parentheses, Catholic Church. I wonder if anybody would specifically not put on the show because it was called something. Yeah. Yeah, beef stroganoff. Are you kidding me, of course. You're saying, does a title matter?
Starting point is 01:00:40 Is that what you're saying? Yeah, title matters are a lot, I would think. You're going to go see an Englishman who went up a hill but came down a mountain? No, but it was called, you know, nonstop coming. I would fucking be the first in line. Okay, well. Okay. Nonstop coming with you, Jackman.
Starting point is 01:00:52 unique demographic what so then we won't call it beef stroganoff no we won't no that's not a good title no that's not a good title yeah no but if you put beef stroganoff but repriths catholic church is a little better it's way better out in all honesty yeah yeah yeah we'll see we'll see we'll see all right all right anyway thank you very much thanks everybody yeah
