Today, we have got a full first round mock draft of the 2026 NFL draft,
including insight on each player that's fantasy eligible and how they might impact the fantasy football landscape.
Welcome into the lineup fantasy football show. I'm Mitch Anderson. I'm Justin Mellow.
And I cannot believe we have a spoiler on the screen right now for the first overall pick Mello.
This is lazy. Our editors should be fired for this.
Who would have thought this guy would be going first? I thought we're going to build a little suspense.
But new graphics, new Parker Washington, Jersey. It's a brink.
brand new calendar year in the NFL. I'm so excited. So I'm going to let you jump into things first here.
Spoiler on the screen like you mentioned, but the reality is everybody knows Fernando Mendoza,
the quarterback out of Indiana, will end up in Vegas. Predicting that is like predicting
Mitch to watch Parker Washington highlights tonight. Absolutely lock. We all know it's going to
happen. So from a fantasy football perspective, I probably don't have very much interest in Mendoza
year one at least, especially in one quarterback leagues. But there's plenty of upside for the
future. When you look at his talent, when you look at the other moves, the Raiders have made this
offseason, bringing in Clint Kubiak. I think the future is bright. And from a dynasty perspective,
I definitely think he's a guy I'm interested in, especially in Superflex. But just like short-term
excitement levels right now, they're pretty low. I think this is probably the least interested
I've been in a first overall quarterback since Jared Goff and just a fantasy perspective.
So you look at like Kirk Cousins being there. He's going to be the week one starter.
We don't know exactly when Mendoza will take over. So for right now, at least he's kind of off my radar.
But curious what you think. Yeah, I actually found the best bet in sports right now.
If you want to make $100, you just need a bet $20,000 that Mendoza goes to Las Vegas.
I'm just, I can mainly just say everything you said. I think the biggest concern,
right now, year one from a fantasy perspective is Kirk Cousins and is guaranteed $172 million.
He is going to be a thorn on your side.
But if you believe in Mendoza's talent, I've been vocal about it.
I do.
I think moving forward, he's going to be a great pick.
But he is not the best fantasy football pick on the board here.
No, I 100% agree.
And like, Dynasty, sure, like if you're willing to wait a little bit, especially in Superflex.
But I agree short term right now, it's unfortunately we're going to have to wait a little bit.
All right.
Well, that brings us to the second overall pick.
This is where we start to get some ambiguity.
We don't know exactly where the draft's going to go after the first pick.
And Armach here, we have the Jets going defense, taking Arvel Reese, the linebacker out of Ohio State.
Could be a pass rusher, could play off ball, very versatile.
With the third pick, we have the Arizona Cardinals staying defense, taking David Bailey to edge out of Texas Tech.
many considered the best true pass rusher in the class.
And then at four we have the Titans going with Sunny Stiles,
the linebacker out of Ohio State,
looking for the new Fred Warner for Robert Sala there in Tennessee.
So back to back to back defense.
But we're going offense number five here, New York Giants.
We have them selecting Jeremiah Love,
the electric running back out of Notre Dame.
Mitch, what are your thoughts?
Yeah, this is where things actually start getting interesting.
to me because I think we're still in that kind of weird situation.
Will it be the Titans?
Will it be the Giants?
It'll be the commanders.
I don't know if you saw today the day we're recording this,
a bunch of buzz coming out that Arizona's considering him or they're considering
moving back.
So I feel like it's one of these bizarre situations where last year, there was so much chatter
about Gentie going to Las Vegas.
And now this year, it's like, I actually truly don't know where Jeremiah Love's going
to go.
But where we have him in our mock is, ironically, I think, the most fun and explosive spot
for fantasy football, putting him with news.
neighbors, dart, likely. But the Giants become the new hotness for fantasy football? Oh,
absolutely. Probably too much, though. I think we didn't fight them too high. Last thing I'll say,
just for people who aren't super familiar with what Jeremiah I love did this year at Notre Dame,
199 carries for 1372 yards, 6.9 a carry for all our math people out there, and 18 touchdowns.
Numbers speak for themselves, generational talent. He's going to be incredible. If there's a position that
I think scouts do a really good job at getting right. It's running back. And everyone agrees
he's going to be great. He is going to be great. You're right, though. I have no idea where he's
going to go. I don't buy Arizona. I could buy Tennessee. I don't either. I could see him slipping
past five, too, to a team like Washington. But I have the Giants here, which philosophically, they say
don't take a running back guy in the draft unless you're really ready to win now. I don't think
it's that crazy to think the Giants might try to win in the next couple years. I don't either. So
philosophically, it makes sense. Obviously, you have Kim.
Scataboo there. That's the one reason people are saying it doesn't make sense. Scadaboo's been
dodging bullets like Neo and the Matrix this offseason. No free agents go in there. I don't think
he gets as lucky this time though. I think Love ends up there. Giants are so fun. They're an ascending
team. I think this would be such a fun landing spot and such a good landing spot for fantasy if the
offense is able to be as good as some people are hoping. And back to Scadaboo, I guess like the one
negative of him landing there is people could say he'll still be someone involved maybe he could get a
little bit of the workload and to that i say sure like he still might be a little bit of a part of the
offense it might not be a true work or situation but i don't think it'd be any worse or any more
severe than like what tyler el jir did to bijon in atlanta when they drafted bijon top 10
so regardless i think jeremiah love's going to get his and he's going to be incredible
I think from like a redraft perspective
it actually might work in your favor
of like he might be cheaper
with Scadaboo there. I think people would
overestimate how much Scadaboo would be involved.
Yeah and like sure he might be a little bit
but there's a reason the Giants have been rumored
to be looking for running backs this offseason
and then if they make this pick there's certainly a reason they did.
You don't spend the fifth overall pick on yeah.
Exactly. He's Jeremiah loves going to eat. There's no question about it.
Before we jump can I just feel like
this is becoming a recurring segment of Mitch's time as a social construct.
Fact of the day.
Last time I was talking about how Kyler Murray is only two years older than Tyler Shuck.
Do you know who Jeremiah Love was playing behind his freshman year?
I'm going to hate myself when I don't know off the top of my head, but go for it.
Audrick Estime.
Doesn't Audric Estimate feel like a hundred years old to you?
Yeah.
Broncos' legend, Audric Estimate.
Broncos' legend, yeah.
All right, let's move on to the next pick.
I absolutely love that.
Rick-prican estimate.
Next pick, we have the Cleveland Browns picking at six.
We have them staying offense here, taking the top tackle in the draft.
Francis Maui Gnoa out of Miami to shore up that offensive line.
And then that brings us to seven, a team that could be in the Jeremiah Love Sweepstakes if
he's there.
But because he's not, we have them going with Carnell Tate, the wide receiver out of Ohio
state.
I think of love is here, Tim.
But if he's not here, I think Cardinal T.
Sure.
Makes a ton of sense.
They don't have great receiver depth behind Terry McLaren in Washington.
Why not pair him up with another great Ohio State receiver?
They weirdly kind of remind me of one another in a lot of ways, aside from just the fact that they both went to Ohio State.
I think their skill sets are somewhat similar, so hopefully they don't cannibalize each other too much.
But I wouldn't be too worried about that.
I think it'd be good for the whole offense.
I think it'd be great for Jaden Daniels.
And I think it'd be great for Carnell Tate to play with the quarterback like Jaden Daniels,
as opposed to going to a team like Cleveland where, like, sure, he'd be their number one.
He could get a ton of volume.
But like, I don't want him tied to the Browns and Deshawn Watson or Sugar Sanders.
So all things considered, I think this would be a great landing spot for Cornell Tate.
I think I would need an entire episode dedicated to what that would do to my brain
if our favorite wide receiver prospect of this draft went to the Cleveland Browns.
I am very clearly, somebody who gets very excited about wide receivers as I wear my Jamar Chase shirt and I hang up my Parker Washington jersey.
He, Carnell Tate is our favorite of the three-headed wide receiver monster.
Size is incredible.
Six, three, 195 pounds.
You talked about it a little bit with the Jaden Daniels thing.
We've broken down Carnal Tate so much that I don't want to belabor the point.
But this would excite me so much for Jaden Daniel's outlook.
He's already to us a top three Dynasty QB right now.
And so you pair him with a guy this young and it's hard for me to, I kind of start making that argument of like, where is he in relation to Drake May?
Because this would be a huge, huge jump for me.
We all are, I think, a little bit recency bias against Jaden Daniels because of what happened last year.
But rookie year, 3,500 yards, 25 touchdowns.
Now you pair Terry McLaurin with Carnell Tate.
I think you could see something absolutely unbelievable here in Washington.
So I love this landing spot.
But another piece of this offense that I think people are kind of forgetting about is Chigaconkwo signing there, three years, 27 million.
We haven't talked about that on the show, but I think this is quietly like a post-hype bounce-back, whatever you want to call it, sleeping kind of offense that we have not given enough attention to.
And so I want to point out where Cleveland would absolutely make me just so upset for Carnell Tate and Washington would make me so excited.
Yeah, I'm already in a Washington bounce back.
And I agree.
Like this would really get me in because you add Cardinal Tate.
You basically had Terry McLaurin who was hurt for most of last year and Jaden Daniels,
who was hurt for a lot of last year.
Like everything could come back together and this team could be really, really good again.
I'd also like to mention we're going to obviously, he doesn't fall to the next pick
in our mock, but if he fell to eight to the Saints, I love that spot for Tate too.
True.
You got to pair him with another Ohio State receiver.
Another Ohio State guy, exactly.
I think that's where we've voted.
But in this mock, the Saints do not get that privilege of pairing Olave with another buck-eye.
We have them taking Rubin Bain Jr., the defensive lineman Edge, out of Miami.
And then at ninth overall, the Kansas City Chiefs, we have them going defense as well,
taking Caleb Downs, the very impressive safety out of Ohio State.
A lot of Ohio State guys here in this top 10.
And with their newly acquired 10th overall pick, we have.
have the giants addressing the secondary, taking Monsor Delane, the cornerback out of LSU,
which brings us to the Miami Dolphins at 11, who I will reluctantly and sadly have taking
Mackay Lemon, the wide receiver out of USC. Mitch, give me your thoughts first year.
Yeah, I know why you're reluctantly saying it. I think both of us are really excited about
Malik Washington this year. We've actually had a lot of viewers really excited about Jalen
Tolbert as well. And I think not only bringing in a wide receiver with such high draft capital,
but also a wide receiver with such a propensity to like command targets would be such a bad thing for
him. I know it's Malik Willis and the passing game's like a little bit murky, but
Mackay Lemon was pro football focus's number one receiver by receiving grade with 91.4 in 2025.
He hits 79 receptions, ranking eighth in all of college football. I think this would be like one of
those unbelievable summer of best ball stacks that we could just be targeting all summer long.
Yeah, I'm in there too because, like, yes, Miami's going to suck. I don't have any,
yeah, any hope for Miami to be very good. But still, they could be a team that's playing catch up,
a team that's throwing the ball quite a bit, despite Malik Willis being like a mobile quarterback.
Mackay Lemon and Malik Willis could be one of my favorite stacks this year, like sneaky,
cheap stacks best ball, like even redraft if you want to trade for him in Dynasty.
Yeah.
So I don't think all hope is lost for my Kyle Lemon if he lands in Miami. I think we could see a
brickier pretty similar to Jalen Waddles just a few years ago in Miami where they were tanking.
They sucked.
But Jailen Waddle was this volume king and he was electric and he put up huge numbers.
I think we could see the same out of a Kai Lemon.
I'm sure he doesn't want to end up in Miami, but I think all will be relatively okay,
even if he does.
He doesn't want to play football in Miami, but I think a lot of these guys would love to end up in Miami.
That is a great point. He doesn't want to play football for the dolphins. I would love to live in Miami. I think any of these guys would love to live in Miami. But we'll have him landing there. And then we will have the Dallas Cowboys at 12 going cornerback, which is a big need for them right now, taking Jermad McCoy out of Tennessee. Despite the injury concerns, he lands in Dallas. The Rams at 13. The win now.
Rams will take an offensive tackle, Spencer Funo, out of Utah.
And then we go offensive line again at 14 with the Baltimore Ravens taking the top guard in the class.
Vega, Yawani out of Penn State.
They could use some interior offensive line help.
Let's have some fun Mitch here at 15.
What are you saying?
I would love to have some fun.
Let's get crazy here.
We don't have a trade yet.
That feels criminal.
We got to have a trade here.
Took us 15 picks.
But we are going to have the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
trading back to 23 and acquiring a 2027 first round pick so that the Philadelphia Eagles can move up here to
15. We'll give them a fourth round pick next year as well to facilitate this deal. And they're trading
up so they're getting their guy, Jordan Tyson, wide receiver out of Arizona State, a guy we both
like a lot, Mitch. This is one of our guys here. I would feel super conflicted about this from a
You too.
I think there's a good chance of this if Tyson falls this late.
There's starting to be a lot of buzz he could go earlier than this.
And then I don't know if the Eagles will have the capital to move up that far.
Right.
If they can move up to 15, I think they would.
Where there's smoke, there's fire.
All the reports are they could move up.
And at this point, I think it's more likely that A.J. Brown forms a thruple with Mike
Rable and Diana Rusini than it is he stays in Philly.
God.
He is as good as gone.
Sorry for the visual, everybody.
So they need a replacement.
And I think Jordan Tyson's that guy, I think, can make sense for them to move up and pass the Jets who are wide receiver needy, picking at 16.
So like from a real life perspective, I can talk myself into this big time.
But then from a fantasy perspective, I'm like, are we getting the 2022 Eagles and the 2024 Eagles where it was fantasy ecstasy?
We saw so many big performances out of the skills players in Philly.
or are we getting 2023 or more recently 2025 where it was like super disappointing and we hate it
because if we're getting the latter, I'm going to be really sad for Jordan Tyson.
But I'm curious, Mitch, what do you think we'll be getting?
This is one of those situations where we've seen all the rumblings and it's starting to become
a little more real.
This is a possibility.
And like just to outline it like Jordan Tyson 6-2, 200 pounds, 61 receptions for 711 yards and 8 touchdowns
in only nine games.
He's a beast.
When he's healthy,
we both think he's arguably
the most talented wide receiver in the class.
The problem is the cannibalization here
of like,
I'm so excited about Devontas Smith,
and that's why I'm really conflicted here.
I'm so excited about Tyson,
and they're going to butt heads a little bit
in terms of commanding targets.
But that's my fantasy side.
My NFL side says,
this is probably the correct move for the Eagles,
but for us fantasy football fans,
it's going to be a lot of calculating
and figuring out how much we actually value him and Smitty if he goes there.
Yeah, I think Smitty would take the biggest hit from this because I actually think he has so,
like some guys lose their wide receiver one and it almost hurts them.
Like think of Juju Smith-Schuster many years ago and AB left.
It's like, yeah, he all of a sudden was drawing tough coverage and it hurt him.
I think DeBonte Smith's the guy that he is a true number one, it helps him because he is that good
and he could be so good in fantasy that when Jordan Tyson comes in, you're kind of like,
shoot, like we'll never see it come to fruition.
I am so
I'm almost insulted sitting here
that you just put Juju Smith's Schuster
and DeVanta Smith in the same sentence
like from a skill perspective
So I don't
Let's be clear. I said
DeBanta would be good
as the wide receiver one
Whereas Jujo is not
Okay okay
You still put them in the same sentence
Which is insulting enough
Sir
That's totally fair
But I digress

every time we drop a brand new episode. But Mello, let's jump on to the 16th pick.
I think I've just developed an addiction to mock trades since we did one. I told you I love
mocking. Now we're throwing trades in the mix. I need more trades. So that's what we're going to do here
at 16. The Jets get leapfrogged. They were looking for a wide receiver. They're not getting it.
So we have them moving back here to pick 26, picking up an extra first next year. Jets have a ton of
picks right now. And then we have the 49ers moving up to 16, also acquiring a 2027 4th.
And they're moving up so that they can leapfrog the Detroit Lions and take their offensive
tackle, maybe a guard of the future, and Caden Proctor out of Alabama. Like I mentioned,
could play offensive tackle long term for Trent Williams, maybe guard in the short term.
And then at 17, we have the Lions taking an offensive tackle anyways, Monroe Freeling out of Georgia.
at 18 we have the Minnesota Vikings going safety with Billen Tiananmen out of Oregon.
It draws a lot of Harrison Smith comparisons.
Whether they're warranted or not, I don't know.
But if you look at him, it's just in a still picture, no tape.
Just look at him and you'll know why people call him Harrison Smith.
What is it about them?
Just a certain...
I don't think they're so similar.
Certain characteristic about them.
And then at 19, we have the Carolina Panthers taking Kenyan Sadiq.
the electric freak of nature out of Oregon.
Tell me about it, Mitch.
You're excited.
Tell me why.
He is a wide receiver playing at tight end,
which for us fantasy football players
is like the most beautiful words you can hear.
He is an absolute weapon out there.
If this happens, if he goes to Carolina,
your Bryce Young stock just shot through the roof.
Unfortunately, if you're a Jalen Coke holder,
if you're a Coke head like us,
your stock's going down.
And then I'm going to be honest,
I think this is a little bit of a hot.
take, I think TMAC stock is pretty lateral and I'll explain why. I think there's more targets in
the offense obviously going to Sadiq, which takes away from TMAQ. But if you look at this team,
I think when you add Sadiq into here, they become a whole lot better and there's a lot more chances
for TMAQ to get those actual high value opportunities in the red area. If you think about the
beginning of last year, he was on such a streak without getting a touchdown. And then not to mention
getting into the red area, but they were the 25th team in the NFL last year in third down
conversion rate. This team could absolutely use a big target for Bryce Young, and I actually think
Sadiq fits the profile perfectly for what could elevate this Panthers offense into this
big breakout season that, again, I don't know why the two of us are the ones projecting it, but we've
become like an unofficial Panthers podcast. And then last thing, I just, I don't know, can't you
just picture him in a Panthers jersey? I feel like I can see it. I can see it already now. It feels
right. I think there's such a good chance he ends up here too. And I'm glad you've talked me all the way back in
on Tedrola McMillan.
I mean, I would never be out even if Saddick goes there,
but I'd be a little sad.
It'd be like, ah, maybe he won't get the volume.
But everything you just laid out.
It's another great example of, like,
if you really analyze the situation,
I think you can get a discount on Team Mac
if people are all scared that Sadieke's going to come in
and steal a million targets from him.
100%.
And it's such a good point, too,
like, he could help keep the offense on the field
because they, I mean, they had so many three-in-outs last year.
They struggled to stay consistent.
Hopefully, he's a, I mean, he's a chain mover.
he can help keep them on the field.
So it could be a good thing.
The cokehead in me would be sad because I'm also a co-cat.
That part of me dies a little bit when I see Cadiq get announced on Thursday.
Yeah.
Might have to change my co-head way since the weekends there.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But I think overall it's a good thing for most people involved.
Like Bryce Young, obviously, it's a huge win for.
This would be three straight years.
The Panthers use a first round pick on a pass catcher for him.
Like they are going to try to give him weapons so that he finally breaks out
or they're going to die trying.
They are continuing to give him past catchers.
I don't know what the step above a nail in a coffin is,
but that's what happens to Xavier Liggett if they drafts.
Kenyon Sadiq.
Xavier Liget is like so lucky he has the coolest voice.
I mean, we might have talked about this on the podcast before.
I want to just hear him talk.
That's the only reason people don't like hate on Xavier Liget for being a bus more.
That and the whole receiver class being pretty underwhelming a couple years ago.
Yeah, that too.
But for Sadiq specifically, because,
we're talking about all these other Panthers and what it means for them. I think it's still good for
Sadiq too. Like, yes, he won't immediately be the awful because you do have a guy like Teterra,
Roa and McMill in there. So I guess maybe that's not the best. But at the same time, he's going to
instantly leapfrog everyone on the depth chart. He is going to be a huge part of this offense.
Jadavion Sanders, Tommy Trembal. They don't really hold a candle to Kenyon Sadiq. So you know he's
I know, shocking. So Sadiq's going to be a day one impact, which I think.
think is really good for his outlook. I agree. All right. Let's move on then to pick 20,
the Dallas Cowboys with their second pick of the first round. This is the one they got from the
Micah Parsons trade. Have them taking Keldrick Folk, the edge out of Auburn. Pittsburgh Steelers at
21. Blake Miller, the offensive tackle at Clemson. They desperately need help at tackle.
22, the Los Angeles Chargers, taking Peter Woods, the defensive tackle out of Clemson.
and then at 23, this is the pick that Eagles would have had if they hadn't moved up to 15,
but now that it's the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, we'll have them taking a key Messador, the edge out of Miami.
It's been a while since Tampa's had a very good pass rush, so Messador would be a big help there.
And at 24, the Cleveland Browns, they went offensive line at 6.
Here at 24, we'll have them taking Denzel Boston, the wide receiver, out of Washington.
they pass up on all of the top receivers to get the tackle,
but they do get their receiver here at 24.
We talked about this already with Cardinal Tate
and the possibility of him ending up in Cleveland.
Yes, it could be over volume.
Yes, he could be the centerpiece of the offense.
But I don't know if I'd be super ecstatic
about having the centerpiece of the Browns offense,
who I'll admit to with Boston specifically,
I've talked about in the show.
I'm not that bullish on him to begin with.
No.
I don't like that he doesn't create a lot of separation.
I don't like that he isn't very good against him coverage.
But I could still talk myself into his upside until he ends up in the hellhole that is the Cleveland Browns organization.
No offense to those in Cleveland.
I'm sure it's a lovely city.
I've ever been maybe someday.
But the football team you have there is a complete hellhole.
So I am all the way out on Denzo Boston if he ends up with the Browns.
I echo everything you're saying.
I think Cleveland would be an absolute disaster for him.
There's a pick coming up about two picks later.
If the bills were to take a shot in Denzel,
Boston, I think my outlook would be a lot better for him.
But if it's Cleveland, man, like you said,
I have no interest in him in fantasy.
But at the same time, I don't think it's a bad NFL pick for Cleveland.
Like, they need a receiver here.
They just need offense.
And that's what we have them going back-to-back offense here in the first round.
They need offense so bad.
Receiver especially.
like Jerry Judy
so far removed
from any sort of
like potential or hype
just oh my God yeah
they need somebody
so I get why the Browns would do it
but I would just not be happy about it
from a fantasy perspective
we'll get Steve Smith on the pod
and he can start talking his opinions
on Jerry Judy
just a guy
25
the Chicago Bears
unlike the Browns
they need defense so we'll have them
take T.J. Parker
the edge out of Clemson
26. The Buffalo Bills, you mentioned, they will not be getting Denzel of Austin in the smock. Instead, we'll have them go corner for the second year in a row in the first round, this time taking Avion Terrell, the brother of AJ Terrell from the Atlanta Falcons. And then 27, this was the 49ers pick. We had the Jets moving back after missing out on the first wave of receivers. But we have them taking a receiver here anyways. We have them taking Casey Concepcion, the wide receiver out of Texas.
A&M. Mitch, let me know your thoughts.
I'm going to start off with this as I was putting together
the graphics for this episode. Did you there's a singer
named Casey Concepcion?
This is the person I'm hearing of this.
It was like pretty big artists too.
And so I'm looking up photos like to put in the graphic.
And I was like, who's this woman that keeps popping up?
So even going to the Jets, he would be like the second most famous Casey Concepcion.
That being said, from an actual football perspective,
Smaller-sized guy, very versatile.
He mainly played in the slot,
but they also loved moving him around at A&M.
He had a couple drop issues in college.
He was tied for the eighth most drops last season
with seven, the 14th highest drop rate
in the NCAA among qualified receivers at 10.3.
I think I can put all that aside
until you tell me he's going to the New York Jets.
This Jets landing spot would be brutal.
I wouldn't want Gino's number one receiver
if it wasn't Garrett Wilson,
so I sure as hell don't want his number two receiver.
And I think from the beginning,
we talked about this earlier in the off season
when we were getting into some of these rookies.
I already have some concerns
about how he'd translate to the NFL.
And if that transition comes on the New York Jets,
it's like over before it started.
It's literally the Aaron Rogers trotting out with the flag meme.
Sadly, yes, it is.
We talked about like the hellhole Cleveland situation.
I think the Jets are worse situation
because at least Cleveland,
you can talk yourself into being the centerpiece of the passing attack.
Garrett Wilson's with the Jets.
Like, KC. Concepcion.
That's such a good point.
You're not even getting the volume.
No.
And you're Gino Smith's number two on the team that I would say is probably the worst
franchise of the last decade.
That would really make me sad.
I'm also not sold on Concepcion, to be honest, as a prospect, but he's a guy I find
myself rooting for quite a bit.
I think he plays so gritty, so tough for such a undersized guy or at least not the
biggest guy in the world. So my heart wants to root for him. He's got the stutter and he's talked about
how he wants to be an inspiration with people with stutters, which is great. Did you see the letter he wrote
NFL team? Yes, I was just literally was going to say it as soon as he finished up. The most baller,
I almost want to say he will be good just because of the letter. Just basically, Spark notes as he said
he's the best receiver in the league. They won't regret take him. And then the last sign is, did I
stutter? It's just, yeah, awesome, baller. But my brain tells me,
he lines for the Jets.
Like, nope, I don't have any interest whatsoever anymore.
I think this is one of the picks that I'm really hoping we're wrong on.
Yeah.
Because I agree with you and I talked about I have these issues wondering if he'll translate
to the NFL.
But if he does, like, I think he could be unbelievable.
I just think there's a huge, there's a huge floor drop here with him versus some of the
other guys we talk about receiver going the first round.
Yeah, definitely more questions.
And then if it's the Jets, I mean, that's even more questions.
Yeah.
All right.
Pick 28 is the Houston Texans.
Let's go with another trade and then let's go with another receiver.
Let's have the Texans moving down to pick 36 in the second round,
picking up an additional second next year so that the Las Vegas Raiders can move up to 28.
Oh, I love this.
Take Omar Cooper Jr., the wide receiver.
out of Indiana.
How can you get your rookie quarterback some help?
Trade up and grab his college teammate that helped them win a national championship game last
year.
The Raiders wide receiver room is kind of a mess right now.
Trey Tucker has some success last year, especially with the Jacobi Myers trade.
They just paid Jaylon Naylor from Minnesota.
Jack Betch is a guy, I think has some upside.
I've talked about him on the show.
Some people feel similarly about Dante Thornton, their other guy going into year two.
but none of these guys are the guy.
And I think Cooper could be that in short order
if he is what they think he could be.
So I really would like this landing spot for Omar Cooper.
I think the Raiders are an ascending team.
He could be their wide receiver one.
And my last note on this,
this is nothing like remotely analytical or smart,
but my P-brain feels like Omar Cooper belongs with the Raiders
because his name kind of sounds like Omari Cooper.
Same last name.
first names are so similar. He's got to be Raiders first round pick. So similar. I love that.
I want to say just mixing mocks and trades is like the ultimate dopamine rush.
I feel like it's like Thursday night football and I'm watching it on my big screen and I'm
on my laptop following my fantasy game and I'm scrolling my phone for Twitter. It's like that
level of dopamine. But the Omar Cooper pick pisses me off. And I'll tell you why it pisses me off.
Why am I becoming a Raiders guy? I'm unintention.
becoming a Raiders and Panthers guy and Parker Washington guy.
And how did I get tasked with this burden to have to be the Las Vegas Raiders guy?
69 receptions for 937 yards and 13 touchdowns last year at Indiana.
I think you give this dude to Clint Kubiak and he is going to create a menace out there.
This would obviously like wherever you're projecting Omar Cooper right now,
his stock flies up for Dynasty.
Mendoza's stock goes through the roof and every guy with a mic who talks fantasy football
like Goss is going to compare it to Joe Burrow and Jamar Chase.
And you know what?
I'm a guy on a mic who's probably going to do it too.
So I am fired up about this pick down the episode.
Oh, me too, 100%.
I don't even think I'm like the biggest Omar Cooper guy, but I will be if he goes to the Raiders.
I'm just going to be eating up the narratives.
I think this got me all warmed up to got me all riled up.
100%, especially with the Raiders.
Like I'm a stat sheet nerd too, but screw the like the spreadsheets.
I just want a narrative.
And if you give me the narrative of Mar Cooper going to play with Mendoza in Vegas,
yep, I'm in, don't care.
Then you said the Omari Cooper thing, and I was like, that's it.
He's going to be called that.
And I'm going to be like, it's going to be like Leo in Once Upon,
what was that called?
Once Upon Time in Hollywood.
He looks at the TV and he sees himself.
That's the first time I hear an announcer call him Omari Cooper.
I think that meme might be my Roman Empire.
I think about like once a day.
I'm going to get our merch guy, aka me on the Omari Cooper T-shirts,
and we'll drop those draft night.
I'll be repping it.
All right, that was our last fantasy eligible player, but we'll just wrap up here real quick.
29, the Kansas City Chiefs, going secondary again, this time taking Colton Hood to cornerback out of Tennessee.
Miami Dolphins, their second pick, they're going Edge, Cassius Howell out of Texas A&M.
One more trade, just going to need one more hit of dopamine.
Oh, you sicko.
I need the dopamine.
Come on, I'm fiend for it right now.
So we're going to have the New England Patriots who are probably looking to acquire some picks to help them with an AJ Brown deal in June.
We're going to have them move back to 37, pick up a second next year,
so the Giants can move up to this pick and take Caden McDonald,
the defensive tackle out of Ohio State.
And then finally, at 32, the defending champion, CL Seahawks,
get their Tareke Warner replacement and Chris Johnson,
the cornerback out of San Diego State.
Love it.
That was fun.
That was a whole lot of fun.
The trades make it so much better.
