Let's talk about the five players in fantasy football this year that we have the most conviction on. Including one league winner, we refuse to leave our drafts without. Let's go. Welcome into the live fantasy football show. I'm Mitch Anderson. I'm Justin Mello. And Mello, it is the most wonderful time of the year. For anybody who missed the first My Guys episode we did with Austin Echler, we will link it in the card above. But let's jump right into this. We're not wasting anybody's time. Tell me about your first My Guy that you're staking your reputation on here in 2026. In that episode with Echler, I brought up a running back in Derek Henry, a quarterback in and now I got a receiver and Chris Godwin of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers going off the board as the wider receiver 40.

Miff saw this one coming. If you listened to the show, you might have seen it coming as well. And honestly, like, I struggled with it a little bit because I felt gross and almost guilty putting a 30-year-old receiver coming off back-to-back seasons with serious injuries as a my guy. But the heart wants what the heart wants, Mitch. I couldn't resist. And I think part of the icky feelings I had originally

were just from like my gut reaction to say that his ceiling is severely limited. But the truth of the matter is, that's just not factual. That's just not valid. We saw the ceiling less than two full years ago when he was the wide receiver one overall in PPR formats through six weeks of 2026 before the season ending ankle injury.

And I remember that too vividly. I had him in the league midst that we are both in. I remember it was a primetime game. happened super late devastating. My wife asked me why I was crying in bed that night. It was traumatic. But our guy's back. Our guy is back and healthy. And by all indications, he is 100% healthy. And he is looking good in that. Yeah. But he is going to be part of this offense. Really healthy for the first time since that traumatic night. And you know who is also back healthy finally is Baker Mayfield. The quarterback who was the MVP favorite through about a month last season, threw for 4,500 yards and 41 touchdowns.

season before that back in 2024. He also was super banged up last year, but all the reports are positive. All the reports are he's in good health. But Mello, what about Emeka Abuka? I hear you. I myself absolutely love a Mecca Abuka a ton. But Mike Evans is gone and he was on the field alongside Godwin in 2024 and didn't prevent my guy from going absolutely nuclear the first month and a half of that season. And on top of that, Chris Godwin actually out snapped Emeka Abuka in each and every one of the Buccaneers final four games last season when Godwin was finally back and healthy. Yeah. And Abuka's also been dealing with this toe injury throughout camp.

We don't know what's going on there. It could linger into the regular season. Don't hear what I'm not saying. I still view Emeka Abuka as the true wide receiver one on this team. But my point is Godwin still has the trust of this organization as he should. And this often should bounce back to the explosive version we saw prior to the injuries that destroyed their season last year. he could even be the wide receiver one until the mecca abuka is healthy and when you look at that combination of ceiling and floor he's just such a smash at his current ADP in my eyes this one's like

super super obvious to me i couldn't agree more and you mentioned that in the last four weeks of the season i'm just looking at weeks 13 through 17 which is when chris gobwin got back healthy through the end of the fantasy football playoffs he was the wide receiver 24 and points per game we're drafting him as the wide receiver 40 with mike evans not even in the building anymore and to me it's crazy B, as you mentioned it, it's like we've already seen all the things on quarterback about Baker Mayfield, the sprained PCL, MCL last year from week two on. And the guy was an MVP candidate into week six. And we saw him the year before.

He's a gunslinger. He gets everyone involved. But he absolutely loves to pepper Chris Godman. We know that. He was the wide receiver one overall before his injury. And so Chris Godwin to me is a slam dunk. You mentioned I love Emeka Abuka, but we are already seeing some injuries. And injuries are what derailed the rookie.

season for Emeka Abuka. And if Chris Godwin can stay healthy or honestly just play the majority of the games this season, I think he's absolutely going to crush his ADP. Yeah, Abuka is really the only guy right now that isn't healthy, which we don't like to hear, but it's good for Godwin. And everyone else is healthy like Godwin and Baker. So the things are really coming together for, I think, Godwin to just be kind of this name fatigued guy that ends up hitting on ADP. Let's move on to my guy. We did not plan this, but Melo, thankfully I get to pick before you. and grab the wide receiver 39 off the board, and that's Wondale Robinson. And you talked about your short king, Kyler Murray last episode, and now I would like the floor for mine.

Wondale Robinson was the wide receiver 11 last year, and it's like nobody even cares, and we're drafting him as the wide receiver 39. I want to break down why, as somebody who clearly loves Carnell Tate on this show and thinks he's going to be fantastic, that this is just a ludicrous price for Wondale Robinson. This is a guy who is such a safety blanket for a young quarterback last season in Jackson Dart, who peppered him with 140 targets for 92 catches and 1,000 yards in just 16 games. Now you come to Tennessee, where there's already familiarity with the offensive coordinator and Brian Dayball, and then outside of Carnal Tate, there are really no serious target earners.

You've got Ileke Aminor, you've got Chimari-DK, you've got Calvin Ridley if he's still got a pulse. And honestly, I don't see a world where Wondale Robinson doesn't, get 100 plus targets. He's already been the most targeted player in training camp for the Titans. And we look at Cam Ward last season. 36% of his passing yards came from short to intermediate passes of 1 to 10 yards. He had the 26th, the lowest A-DOT of any quarterback who played 250 or more plays last year. And obviously, I expect to see him take more shots down the field with Carnell Tate. But he clearly has a comfortability with taking the easy yards and chipping away and targeting a guy like Wondale Robinson who is going to get you, PPR Fantasy,

points just without all the flashingness. And so I'm not telling you to draft Wondale because you're going to get some elite wide receiver one. I'm telling you to draft him because there is no shot he's not a top 36 wide receiver and I am planting my flag that his absolute floor is the top 24 for wide receivers this year. That's bold, but I don't hate it. I don't hate it for your short king. He's a volume machine. He is and it's interesting because we're projecting Cam war to take a step forward and if he does obviously that's really good news for Wondale Robinson. But in a weird way, I actually feel better about Wondale after seeing Cam Ward not play that in the preseason game.

Yeah. And that's because, I mean, I too like a guy like Carnell Tate a lot, I think he's going to have a great career. If Cam Ward isn't playing well, that might make me drop Carnal Tate a little bit. But Cammore doesn't have to play that well for Wondale to eat. Like you said, like short to intermediate routes, that's where Cam Ward is throwing the ball. He doesn't have to be consistently accurate or consistently making the best throws.

for Wondale to just consistently take in a ton of targets, be a PPR demon. And the Titans probably are going to have to throw the ball quite a bit. They're so not a very complete team. The defense still has a ton of holes. Their schedule isn't the easiest in the NFL. So we very well could see Wondale just be targeted and targeted and targeted and targeted and do what he did last year, which is just fly under the radar until he hits a thousand yards.

Yeah, and I know he's not that exciting, but I imagine a world where he drafts him by Luther Burden early on. It's like, to me, Luther Burden's like taking a shot of tequila and Wondell Robinson's your chaser. Like, you know you've got to do it. The Luther Burton part's fun, but you got to do something after to make sure you're in a good place afterwards. 100%.

I couldn't live without a chaser after a shot of tequila. That's kind of how I feel about drafting Wondale to mix in some Luther Burden. Mitch, we're on a receiver run here in the same range because my next mag guy, going a little bit later than those two receivers, but in a very similar range as the wide receiver, 47. That is Jacoby Myers. He's ready to throw hands. Yeah, no, you better not throw hands with me. I know I'm picking a different Jags receiver than Parker Washington, who is your guy. I too am super excited about Parker Washington. I think he's a potential grade value, but all of that excitement around Parker Washington is pushing Jacobi Myers further and further down in ADP.

And oh my goodness, is he a bargain now? He is such a good bargain now. From week 11 on last year, Obviously, Jacoby Myers was with the Jags over that stretch. He was no longer with the Raiders. Do you know what position rank Jacobi Myers was over that stretch, Mitch? I'll say like wide receiver 24. Even better, 14. He was the wider receiver. Wow. 14 overall from Week 11 on.

And he did that with both Parker, Washington and Brian Thomas Jr. on the field and healthy. And not only that, over that same stretch, he led the team in routes run, targets, and receptions. So now let's zoom out beyond just last year He was on the Jags. Let's look at his whole career. Of his seven years in the league, Mitch, any guesses how many of those seven years

he's outperformed his ADP? I'm going to go with seven. It's six. Very close. Damn it, I almost went with six. Six of seven years. And the only time he didn't was his rookie year, meaning he has hit on his ADP

six years in a row, and he's pretty substantially outperformed to the wide receiver 47 each of the last five years. Yet that's where he's being drafted as the wider receiver 47. He's kind of like target brand Amun Rass St. Brown at this point. He just keeps getting disrespected and he just keeps outperforming those expectations. Now, I know there are a lot of mounts to feed in Jacksonville. Could he be the odd man out?

To put it simply, no. That's just not very likely. I felt confident this whole offseason that he will stay on the field in two receiver sets. And it seems like we are seeing that come to fruition here in camp. ESPN Jags reporter Michael DeRocco has reported that it's been Washington and Myers getting the majority of reps in two receiver sets. It's been Brian Thomas Jr., who is coming off the field in 12 personnel. And additionally, when Travis Hunter has been substituting in in three receiver sets, it's also predominantly been Brian Thomas Jr. Wait, Travis Hunter, the defensive back?

Travis Hunter, the defensive back has been occasionally submitting on offense. And is Brian Thomas, who's leaving the field in those situations. all of this isn't meant to be like anti-Bryan Thomas Jr. Although it admittedly is very anti-Bryan Thomas Jr. What I'm really trying to do, though, is be pro-Jacobi Myers and explain that he will almost always be on the field, which is especially meaningful. When you look at this Jaguar's team has been pretty vocal this offseason that they're going to deploy more two-titan sets, which means more two receiver sets.

And when you have two receiver sets, you see a consolidation of targets to those receivers on the field, which means it's a beautiful fantasy situation if you're actually. on the field in those situations like Jacoby Myers is and Parker Washington. So both of our Jags receivers can eat here, Mitch. We don't need to throw hands. I know Parker Washington's your guy, but it's not stopping me from making Jacobi Myers my guy. Okay, fine. I'll put down the gloves. Now you put that last sentence in. This is making me feel like we should just name this episode like the five players that are guaranteed to outperform their ADP because I kind of think that was our exact approach when we picked these my guys. And I entirely agree with you. I mean, you said it yourself,

six straight years outperforming years as ADP. I feel like we have this conversation about Jacoby Myers every single summer. And it's just, I feel like we've been bored about this guy forever. Even when he was back into England, we were bored of Jacobi Myers. And I don't really have a reason why that is. But maybe it was that at the beginning of his career, he would go 300 straight games without a touchdown. But he has been absolutely phenomenal. We saw it in the last stretch of last season.

And to me, this is an absolute steal at WIerser's 4.7. I know there are people who are like, well, I like Brian Thomas Jr. and I like Parker Washington. You're paying a wide receiver 47 price tag. He is the end of the wide receiver 4 range. You are not paying a lot to get Jacoby Myers. And like, if Luther Burden is a shot of tequila and Wondell Robinson is a chaser, I feel like Jacoby Myers is the banana the next day you needed because you were hung over. I do love a good banana the next day after being hung over. Yeah, I don't know what it is either with Jacoby. You mentioned not scoring touchdowns. Maybe it's the fact that we've lateraled it to Chandler Jones.

I thought that too. I didn't want to say it. Gave people to Ick. Yeah, that one heard as a Patriots fan. Or it just might be like his age. Like we get this name fatigue with older players. And I feel like I'm kind of capitalizing that on that this year. Like you look at Chris Godwin, who I talked about, Derek Henry, who I talked about

with Austin Ackler around the show. Like a lot of my guys are older who I think people are just getting sick of. But it's like their values because of that take the value. And it's what allows you to go out and take some more exciting picks when you have this foundation built that you can rely on. Definitely, yeah. You still want to mix in those younger prospect guys who could be explosive, have top five, top 10 finishes, but get some stability in there too with these guys. All right, Mello.

That's enough talking about guys who have done it before. Let's talk about a guy who hasn't done it yet. But before we do, make sure to hit that subscribe button if you haven't. We're going from a former giant on my list to a new one who has been getting so much steam and yet not nearly enough.

He's currently the tight end 12 off the board. Jordan Renan recently reported that Giants tight end Isaiah likely has been Jackson Dart's number one target during training camp. And that's weeks after Connor Hughes reported that the giants appear intent on featuring him as that number two option behind Malik neighbors that he's being moved throughout the formation and there's clear chemistry with Jackson Dart and that they view him more as a utility weapon than a traditional tight end.

And so we're valuing this guy as the tight end 12. When there's so many glaring green flags heading into this year, I've talked about this before, but last season from week four to week 17 when Jackson DART was actually starting, Theo Johnson, a fourth round second year tight end, gets 64 targets. In comparison, you're wondering,

oh, well, we haven't seen it from Isaiah likely. Likely only gets 34 from Lamar Jackson. Meanwhile, you see a guy like Mark Andrews getting 50, because he was the starter. Now you fast forward, the Giants pay likely three years, 40 million with incentives up to 47 and a half. And the point I want to make here of why I have so much conviction that Isaiah likely is going to break out, in the nine games in his career as a starting tight end without Mark Andrews, Isaiah likely averaged 3.4 receptions for 50.4 yards and 0.7 touchdowns a game, which extrapolated into a fancy football season, would have made him

the tight end three last year. And so now not only does he lack true tight end. end competition on the depth chart, which sorry to the Theo Johnson truthers. But he lacks the overall target competition behind the league neighbors, where it's just Darius Slayton. They already cut Juju Smith-Schuster, O'Dell Beckham Senior Jr. the third, God knows what he's doing. I have so much confidence that Isaiah likely is going to crush this tight end 12 price. I'm right there with you. I'm super excited for those reasons you mentioned. And I think like the one knock I've heard on likely is like, oh, well, he's not like a true tight end. He can't play in line. He can't block. They're going to pull him off the field in certain situations, which I will say there's like totally true

to that. And I think sometimes us in the fantasy community get tied up with, you know, liking tight ends for wide receiver reasons and the fantasy brain of it all. And it is separate from real life football. But at the same time, if we are focusing on fantasy and who's going to score fantasy points, I still like Isaiah likely because, A, I mean, we've just seen so many tight ends who can't block for shit, like do incredible. in fantasy as just route runners that are basically deployed as receivers. Isaiah likely fits that mold. And they probably have to use in that capacity for the very reason you said.

Like there aren't a lot of bodies in that receiver room you're going to have a ton of confidence in. They have a lot of names. Like this is probably, if there's a receiver room in the NFL that has more famous names than actual talent, it's the New York Giants. Yeah, this team would cook in 2018. Oh, 2018. This team's going undefeated. Can I counter what you said, though, because I've heard the same. thing about people saying he's not a blocking tight end.

He's going to take it off the field. The Giants knew that. Exactly. They knew that. And they went they paid him $40 million. And you don't do that to a guy who can't block if you don't plan on featuring him in the passing game. Right. I 100% agree with you.

And yeah, sure, they might take him off the field in certain situations where he's not going to be used as a blocker. But we've still, like, not everyone needs to be Rob Bernkowski, George Kittle, Tucker Kraft. Look at the Darren Waller's hell. Even Travis Kelsey has never really been a good blocker. Walker. They use him as a wide receiver throughout his prime. That's how they're going to use Isaiah likely. Not that he's got to be Travis Kelsey, but he doesn't need to be a leap locker. No, no, I heard it here first. You heard it here first. Isaiah likely next Travis Kelsey. What's going on, guys? We are

All right, Mello, should we jump into Our Guy, the final player? I'm so excited about this one, Mitch. Let's talk about Our Guy here at the lineup, Ladd-McConkey. wide receiver 19 off the board. I kipped off the summer by writing an article called the bold case for Ladd-McConkey as the 2026 fantasy wide receiver one. And I know a lot of people were up in arms by that.

But if you can't wrap your head around that possibility, then may I present you with the extremely reasonable case for why Ladd-McConkey will outperform his ADP? Love it. Ladd has been absolutely tearing up training camp, clearly meshing with the new Mike McDaniel offense. Keenan Allen finally is officially not coming back. and so his 122 targets from last year are vacated.

And of course, as I mentioned last episode, in the words of Jim Arbaugh, Justin Herber is, quote, locked, cocked, and ready to rock. Whoa. I certainly hope he's not that. I think Madison Beer hopes he's certainly not that. I had to double take when I heard that Harbaugh said that,

but it still was jarring hearing you say that. I lost my tree of thought. But anyway, last season, before the extensive offensive line injuries, poor play calling, King and Allen cannibalizing targets is very easy to forget why we were drafting Ladd so high in 2025. And that's because in 2024 as a rookie, he was the wide receiver 12. He led the entire NFL and separation win rate out of the slot, a mark that he almost broke when lined up out wide

at an impressive 20.2%. He's also a machine against man coverage. He ranked second only to Zay payday flowers, an average separation score against man at 0.289. But last year he wasn't even bad either. The situation was. Ladd himself finished fourth among all receivers with 3.26 yards of separation. He was the number one overall wide receiver and separation score against cover two. And the coaching staff is screaming at us that a breakout's coming. And I'm screaming at you too, just a little bit quieter because I don't think my microphone can handle it. Thank you for not making my ears bleed. I'm glad you brought up Keenan Allen not sounding there too. I feel like that was the last thing we were waiting on. And then he signed with Indy. I felt like the end of

Redemption, like walking down the beach. Like, we finally made it out. Guy breaking the shackles meme. No, that's what it felt like. Ladd McConkey is obviously our guy. He's our biggest my guy collectively. But I also think, like, personally, he's probably just my biggest my guy, too. Like, I have such strong convictions just like you do, Mitch.

And you've already made so many valid points, some of the same points I'd make. So I'll keep my ramp short and just simply list what I want in a fantasy receiver. I want the number one in their offense, which, check, we have it there. I know Quentin Johnson's starting to revive his career a little bit, but lads no doubt the number one. I want a great quarterback. Check, we have Justin Herbert, unquestionably top 10 guy, has supported elite fantasy production out of his receivers in the past. I want elite play caller.

Check, we have Mike McDaniel, one of the best offensive minds in the game, has led many players to superb fantasy finishes, both in San Francisco as well as Miami. And lastly, I want someone who's done it before. He was the wide receiver 12 overall as a rookie, and that doesn't even account when he erupted for nine receptions, 197 yards, and a touchdown against an elite Texan defense in the playoffs. So yeah, that's the check. He's done it before. Clean sweep, all checks. I cannot stop drafting Ladd McConkey.
