Starting point is 00:00:00 Welcome into the line of fantasy football show. I'm Mitch Anderson. I'm Justin Mello. And Mello, we've started to see some real buzz coming out of OTAs, and it's time to uncover the top five guys that people aren't talking about enough and are being undervalued for fantasy right now, including one guy to stick around for that's been turning heads. I want you to start.
Starting point is 00:00:17 I see your first guy on the list, and I could talk about this guy for an entire episode. Oh, I'm giddy that I get to, because I love talking about Tucker Kraft, who I have yours. I love him. I love Tucker Craft so much. I'm starting to crave some Easy Mac right now, as I do whenever we talk about craft. We love some craft in the lineup I was old.
Starting point is 00:00:37 We absolutely love it. And I'm loving it even more as we move through OTAs now. I cannot stress this enough. He was the tight end one overall last year through week eight prior to that ACL tear in week nine. And he still finishes the tight end two on the season in terms of points per game. So that is how good of a player we are talking. talking about. The big concern going into 2026, of course, is that same ACL injury I mentioned earlier. How healthy will he be? Will he miss time? Well, boy, oh boy, do I have great news for you?
Starting point is 00:01:11 Adam Schaefter has reported that Kraft is expected to start week one with no restrictions. Let's go. And I could not be happier about it. So excited for Tucker Kraft. He is currently going as the Titan 5 in redraft. And if you told me he was truly 100% healthy, which I still don't know that I'm 100% against that's true. But if you guaranteed it to me, I would take him as the Titan 3 in redraft over Tyler Warren and even over Coast of Mubland.
Starting point is 00:01:38 I'll say something about that too. I feel like we're all treating like Tyler Warren, like he's the new hotness and like whatever and like how could we possibly put Tucker Kraft above him? They're a year apart in age. I just feel like it's like we, it's so much of the like this box could be anything. It could be a boat with Tyler Warren.
Starting point is 00:01:54 where it's like in Dynasty, you're still buying a guy extremely young that I would very much argue we've seen more of a breakout out of Tucker Kraft than we have from Tyler Warren yet. I think I'd maybe push back on the Colson Loveland thing, but at the same time, I don't like fault you for feeling that way. Like, we've seen a longer sample size of Kraft doing it. Yeah, and full disclosure, I love Colston Loveland, so I will not ever make an anti-Colson Loveland take care. But you're right.
Starting point is 00:02:22 Like, we've seen a more complete body of work from Tucker Kraft, still just 25. It really is the injury concern for me. Is the only thing that was holding me up? So, Swole. Dude, that was crazy. Yoked. He went out my draft board like 15 spots. Even if I had never watched him play football, if I just saw that, it'd be like, yeah,
Starting point is 00:02:40 he should be a top five tied in off the board. Literally. And you're right, young, too. Like, I didn't even mention that. Like, he's still a great dynasty asset. He's been yards after the catch monster the last couple years. He was a touchdown machine last year. And I actually think his overall volume could go up in 2026 as well with the departures of Romeo Dobbs and Antabian Wix without any meaningful additions to replace them.
Starting point is 00:03:01 The Packers haven't really brought in anyone who you think would think would be a big part of this passing attack that wasn't there already. So all of this news simply could not be any better. I'm really getting excited for Tucker Kraft in 2026 and beyond for that matter. Tucker Kraft checks every box. He's 25 years old. The film junkies all love him. Everything on tape looks great. He's done the fantasy production thing.
Starting point is 00:03:23 You just mentioned he was tight end one until he got hurt. You look at last season before he got hurt among tight ends who had more than 12 routes run. He was second in yards per route run with 2.27 only to Dalton Kincaid. Like, this guy is a freak of nature. You've compared him. I don't even know if this is on camera or off camera, but you've compared him so many times to George Kittle. I think that's such a phenomenal comparison for him. Like, I think this is a guy that like had he not gotten hurt, which is, I know, so easy to say.
Starting point is 00:03:51 and there is going to be the question of like how long we'll take for him to get back up to speed. But like, had he not gone and hurt, we could be drafting him like, I don't know, around Trey McBride and Brock Bowers and redraft. He could have finished as the tight end one, two, or three. And so I think when you get hurt so early in the year, people just like kind of forget about you, especially when it's happening in a breakout season so they don't have the body of work from a prior season to go back to. I just think like, I love how much the. The OTAs are like giving Tucker Kraft his validity, but I also hate it because I wanted him to be our little secret.
Starting point is 00:04:27 Yeah, that is the one downside. I've been so excited and so happy, as I'm sure you've been able to tell during my rant here about Tucker Kraft. But that is the one thing I'm sad about that his price will increase. So if you can get him now on some best bow drafts, maybe trade for him in Dynasty, I love that move. Yeah, I just grabbed him in our dynasty startup and I've never been happier. I think I got him like below ADP too. Oh, I hated you for it. I was sweating.
Starting point is 00:04:51 Yeah. Yeah. No, I was sweating and then the sweat turned into tears once you took them from me. All right. Well, speaking of tears, let's talk about another guy who's really popping off at training camp. And I want to apologize right now to Parker Washington. But Brian Thomas Jr. is turning heads and we got to talk about it. Oh, Mitch.
Starting point is 00:05:10 If there has ever been proof that I can be fully objective on this show, it's right now. And I will preface it by saying, I still think Parker Washington will be the number one receiver. in this Jaguar's offense. But the buzz is getting out of control and we got to talk about BTJ. Last season, he had an ADP of wide receiver 8 and a finish of wide receiver 44. So I think, like, I think we'd both agree he was the busts of 2025, him versus Justin Jefferson. I mentioned this in the spring during our hindsight's 2025 segment, but I didn't question the talent last year.
Starting point is 00:05:41 I felt like something mentally was going on. I know a lot of people were saying the thing about he seemed to be bracing for hits before getting the ball. and I just, I couldn't buy that someone who finishes the wide receiver four in his rookie season was just all of a sudden not talented the next year. And so it's been shocking to see all the reports, but at the same time it shouldn't be because we know how talented this guy was. But let's move on to where we are today. He is being drafted as the consensus wide receiver 32 off the board and redraft and the wide receiver 25 in Dynasty. And I have to say, I'm buying in a little bit.
Starting point is 00:06:16 I'm buying it a little bit because of how much I like this Jaguar's offense. The reports so far from OTAs are just that Brian Thomas Jr. and Trevor Lawrence have been a different level of connection. He's been by far his favorite target. Liam Cohen said about Brian Thomas Jr. That he has a great attitude, communication with him and Trevor after every play and then making the plays. The confidence of the chemistry and the connection they're building. It's something real.
Starting point is 00:06:39 Action Sports Jack said a Brian Thomas Jr. quote that he feels a difference after coming back from the injuries. He says it doesn't hurt to run. And finally, Jason Hamby reported that Liam Cohen says Trevor Lawrence and Brian Thomas Jr. have connected on more deep balls in the past few weeks than they did all of last offseason. And so, which I don't know if that's- That's almost deflamatory. Yeah, I think that's an indictment on what were you doing last season,
Starting point is 00:07:03 or last off-season. But I think this is the perfect time not to crown Brian Thomas Jr. as like back and like bet the house on him or say like, here we go, why are you or four all over again? I just think it's time to do some checking of your own biases and say, okay, how possible is it that Brian Thomas Jr. is just a great post-type sleeper that we all have such an ick about that we're not accepting? And so I think specifically for his redraft price,
Starting point is 00:07:30 I'm buying back in a little bit right now. Yeah, I, uh, well, first of all, I'm shocked that you're cheating on Parker. No. No, no. I think this is a great take. It's actually one I've been thinking. I've been sitting on it. waiting to bring it up too because I was worried to get mad at me as the number one Burger Washington
Starting point is 00:07:52 fan on this podcast. Totally fair. But I agree. And what we're hearing out of OTA is like, I mean, you have to take everything with a grain of salt because obviously the team doesn't want to, you know, lessen the value on BTJ if they wanted to trade him and they have to be very careful with how they navigate the media. But I do believe what I'm hearing. I do believe, I mean, we know the talent. He was the first round picked for a reason. He was a wide receiver four as a rookie for a reason. He is a very good player. And the upside's there. The upside is not the problem at all. He's relatively affordable, especially in redraft. But even in Dynasty, he's much cheaper than he was a year ago. And it's promising that it sounds like things are trending in the right direction. So if you want to take a
Starting point is 00:08:34 swing for the fences, I don't mind taking that shot at all. I actually really like what you said there. I think all of these OTA reports have shifted my perception of his upside. But my floor is the exact same it is, which is that you're going to get burned so badly if this goes wrong. I don't think this has secured any greater floor for me. I think it's reminding me a little bit of like what is possible between these two guys, between Trevor Lawrence and Brian Thomas Jr. Yeah. I don't want to get too off the rails here, but I think if anything, to be honest, if these reports change my view more negatively on anyone and you'll love this, it's probably Travis Hunter because we're still seeing all the positive reports about Parker Washington and
Starting point is 00:09:17 the role he'll have. Brian Thomas, the vibes are going back up. Jacoby Myers' role in this offense has never been in question. Travis Hunter fans, time to get even more scared, I think. No, 100%. Do you see Parker Washington and Brian Thomas Jr. playing catch today? I didn't, but now I need to go like hang up this call right now. Maybe they'll just put Parker in a QB. He can do it all. He can do it all. well Mitch I'm feeling inspired right now you've you've really showed that you're able to turn a new leaf swallow your pride so I'm going to do the same here
Starting point is 00:09:49 and I'm going to talk about Camp Scataboo because I've been very anti-scataboo I've been more weary and critical than most you know I've been a critic of Camp Scataboo but we're at a point now this offseason that I'm comfortable and I'm okay with his ADP I'm okay with how he's being valued I'm not in love with it, but I don't think he's a sell. I don't think he's a fade.
Starting point is 00:10:13 And the main reason is he dodged any new competition coming through this offseason in the form of free agency or the draft. And that's huge because that's what I was really, really scared about. And he dodged every bullet that could have come his way. So that's number one. But the other thing is the health. And I was really scared. What happened to his leg shouldn't be humanly possible. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:35 But like we talked about with Tucker Kraft, things seem to be going in the right direction. The reports haven't been quite as good as we're seeing with Tucker Kraft, but they've still been positive. He was doing backflips at charity baseball games, which I could not believe. He's been looking close to fully healthy at minicamp. He's at least running.
Starting point is 00:10:53 He's doing drill, so things are moving in the right direction. It's also worth noting with Scataboo. He's never relied on the lead explosiveness or agility anyways. That's just not what his game is. It's just a junkyard dog. He's just a junkyard dog. He doesn't need a fully healthy knee to be good at football because he's never had, you know, the explosiveness or the agility, like I mentioned.
Starting point is 00:11:16 So he can still be fine without those things. And it's also just great to see Jackson Dart has said this team plans on running the ball a whole lot. And not only did he say that, he specifically named drop Scadaboo that they're going to run the ball with him a lot, which makes sense of Greg Roman who has ease on this staff now. If he has any say in what this offense looks like, you would expect Cam Scadaboo to be a huge part of it. And there's not a lot of good news coming out of New York right now, at least when it comes to the Giants. I'm sure Nick fans are absolutely thrilled. But Giants' vibes have been super negative recently,
Starting point is 00:11:48 aside from some like mild rumors that neighbors could be ready for week one. But, I mean, for the most part, neighbors' vibes have been negative the whole team as a whole. But Scada Boo is the good news we're getting right now. So I'm taking that optimism where I can get it. I do have some interest in redraft. He's going as the running back 20. He's actually similarly priced in Dynasty as well.
Starting point is 00:12:06 I'm not super enthusiastic about it. He's not one of my biggest buys, but I'm definitely open to getting some Scataboo shares. Aren't you so shocked that there wasn't a video after the next one in the championship of Cam Scataboo running headfirst into like a bus that was on fire? I felt so up his alley. I'm actually shocked now.
Starting point is 00:12:25 You mentioned it. Yeah, right? I'm with you. And again, this is, look at us. This is very big of us. But I think I'm turning redraft into a buy I do think this is a good price. I have the concerns long term.
Starting point is 00:12:40 And so dynasty, I'm getting there. I'm switching back and forth between buy and sell, Ray Allen tweet. Jesus. I'm getting, I'm literally saying, though, I am getting there. I'm rising on Camp Scataboo a lot. And I don't think his price has risen
Starting point is 00:12:58 the way I expected to once he dodged the free agency bullet. And the Jeremiah love boy. Kind of felt like that all got price. in and we were saying it wasn't priced in enough, the threat of looming competition. And then none came and it felt like it didn't bounce back up. And now I'm on the other end of being like, why does it feel like the price isn't catching up? So I'm with you. I think running back 20 for the upside of it. And if you're believing in making like a Jackson Darts stack or something like that, like there's a lot of upside to Camp Scadaboo. I love that you brought that up. I think that's like
Starting point is 00:13:31 the perfect way to put it because the reason I was out before is he wasn't. price like there were the threat of those things happening, which is why I thought he was a sell. But the good news is those things didn't happen anyways. Yeah. So now the price, which was a huge risk before is much less of a risk. Of course, in Dynasty, day three, running back, we're kind of wary of them. But overall, I think he's out a good spot right now where I'm okay with how he's being valued. I feel like between my office being 87 degrees and then talking about Brian Thomas Jr. and Camp Scadaboo positively, I need like a shower. But we're going to move on to brothers are back. Disgusting brothers are back. I'm going to talk about a guy that I just love and I'm so
Starting point is 00:14:10 excited for and I think he's going to be like a top 10 receiver this year. And that's Carnell Tate, wide receiver 30 in redraft, wide receiver 11 in Dynasty. Obviously in rookie drafts, this guy couldn't possibly rise anymore. He was likely the second pick off the board in your draft, whether you're playing Superflex or not. But the Tennessee Titans fourth overall pick in the NFL draft has looked unbelievable so far. He's already getting the slow motion one hand. did catch in the end zone tweets with like 100 emojis. Like check out Carlis Tate's new highlights. Tap in on the Bleacher Report app.
Starting point is 00:14:41 And I don't think it's a doubt to anyone that he just looks so smooth, so technically sound. The route running's incredible. So much so that we're already seeing Devante Adams comparisons on the timeline, which is a good sign for a rookie coming into the league. And if you're wondering how well he's messing with his new quarterback, Cam Ward, he said this about Carnell Tate. He'll have an explosive year just because he'll get a lot of one-on-one matchup.
Starting point is 00:15:04 That's what we want. He's got great hands, wins in man coverage, and he's a strider. This is also an advertisement for Cam Ward, but I want to focus on Carnal Tate. What I'll say here is, I think you'd agree, Carnal Tate should be rising so fast in terms of redraft ADP. But at the wide receiver 11 in Dynasty, I think he's probably slotted pretty much exactly where he should be. He has the potential leapfrog, maybe a guy like a Bucca who he's got two years on in age,
Starting point is 00:15:31 and assuming Cam Ward pans out, he's attached to like a quarter. quarterback of the future, but wide receiver 30 in redraft, I truly can't wrap my head around right now. Yeah. How much harder was T-MAC going last year? He was certainly going higher than that in redraft. Low 20s, I want to say. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:48 Which doesn't make any sense to me. We're working on our rankings right now for a website that will be launching soon. We can tease it right now. And I just, I can't help myself. Carnell Tate, every time I look at it, I'm like, I feel like he needs to go up another spot. Yeah, you move him up one spot and you're like, all right, I'm done. I don't want to go too high. That's enough. A little dopamine rush. And they're like, no, I got to do it again. I got to do it again. I love Cornell Tate too. I'm rising on him. He was my number one receiver pre-draft anyways.
Starting point is 00:16:17 Yeah. But I didn't necessarily view, like I mentioned T-Mack earlier. I like T-Mack a lot more as a prospect than I did Carnell T-Pate. And I still like T-Mack a lot. I'm not turning this into a negative T-Mack take. But I'm starting to value Carnell T-Mate more. If that makes sense, then like even I maybe did T-MAC going into last year as a rookie in Carolina. So I'm starting to get very excited. Maybe I'm just drinking all this hype, drinking that Kool-Aid. But there's a reason I am is because he got super high draft capital top four. He's looked great at OTAs.
Starting point is 00:16:52 We think this offense is going to take a step forward. And with the young talent like this, you want to get in before the price explodes. 1,000%. I just think. It is so interesting with Dynasty, like, I want to be able to be like, go buy him now before the price explodes. It's like, you're going to need a good season to get much higher than Y-Receiver 11. Right. That being said, still feels like I'm willing to pay the price tag right now for Carnell Tate because I do think that's going to happen.
Starting point is 00:17:19 And then redraft is just silly. It's just absolutely silly. And I can't envision a world where he doesn't pan out better than the wide receiver 30. Yeah. Even if through the month of September, he's sitting as the wide receiver. of 41, I'd still feel really good that it's going to go in the right direction. Here's your sign.
Starting point is 00:17:39 He was your sign to go buy him in September. Exactly. Like, rookies all the time have these slow starts. Like, we see the outliers, of course, like a mecca, and a few others. But he could have the slow start and then all of a sudden, for the months of November and December alone, be the wide receiver, like 13 overall in that range.
Starting point is 00:17:56 And it would not surprise me at all. Not at all. All right, Mel. Should we get to our biggest riser? Let's do it. All right, before we do, make sure to hit that like button and subscribe if you're enjoying the content to be notified every time we drop a brand new episode. Also, if you're on Apple and Spotify, hit that follow button and give a five-star review. But, Melo, the biggest riser right
Starting point is 00:18:14 now out of all of OTAs has to be Beacial Tootin. Redraft ADEP of Running Back 25, Dynasty RB22, according to keep trade cut. You mentioned him a month or so ago during the Dynasty Buys episode with Danny from Fantasy Stock Exchange that. I'm going to link up here if you'd like to check that out. But when you talked about him a month of go before any of this buzz, guess what his price tag was? Cheaper. I don't even remember, but definitely cheaper. It's the exact same. He hasn't moved anywhere. But let's break down exactly why what we're hearing right now of Jacksonville for a guy with no real competition in the backfield should
Starting point is 00:18:52 be launching him up the charts. And I'm sorry to say that to the Chris Rodriguez truthers. But the buzz has been insane. Jags beat reporter John Shipley said Tutin left the defense firmly in his dust on several big runs in team drills. He continues to look like one of the most explosive elements out of the entire offense. We've seen Tudin consistently leading the pack in all of those running back drills. Also, Zane Donani reported on June 8 that Chris Rodriguez Jr. had a procedure on his left foot following an injury earlier in the offseason program, and they're hoping to have him back for training camp.
Starting point is 00:19:24 Not good. Not good at all. Even if he's back, so not what you want to hear. Bejel Tudin actually acknowledged himself to the media that he's going to have. have a role increase this season. He also mentioned that he was just as surprised as us that it's pronounced Travis A-chan, which is like real ball-lower. He isn't coming out of nowhere, though. Just last season, their OC praised him as a strong yards after contact guy. Liam Cohen said that he was so impressed not only by Tudin Speed, but as his ability as a short yardage back. And so I'm just
Starting point is 00:19:52 so excited for a guy that I think has a three-down skill set and whose price, I'm not even going to say, doesn't seem to have caught up. It hasn't moved at all. And so if you want to a cheap piece of this Jaguars offense that we're so excited about with Liam Cohen. Like, go get Bachel Tootin like right now. I believe he may have also said he's definitely faster than Chris Rodriguez too. Like I think he actually named drop. That's hilarious. And he's right.
Starting point is 00:20:15 I'm faster than him. I might need to fact check that. But I'm pretty sure he did and he is right. But it just makes sense. Like, everyone is so excited about this Jags offense and Liam Cohen in year two in the breakout by Trevor Lawrence, you know, continuing to ascend. And it makes sense that you want to be. want the starting running back in this offense.
Starting point is 00:20:33 And it makes sense that that starting running back will be such a major asset. And it seems like it will be Tootin. And I'll admit, I think throughout the majority of this offseason, Chris Rodriguez probably has been a little bit underrated and disrespected in terms of his upside if he could be a major part of this offense. But it's starting to feel more and more like that won't be the case. And it will be Tootin, who is the guy in the backfield, especially if he gets the bulk of the early down work, he's guaranteed to be a steel.
Starting point is 00:21:01 Like it's not only, well, if he gets the early down work, he might be a, no, he will destroy his current ADP, how he's being currently valued if he gets the early down work. Because we already know he's a stud down by the go line. You mentioned that. Liam Cohen loved to use him there last year. I think he'll continue to get that work. And we also know he's a really good receiver. We didn't see it a ton last year, but we saw it in college at Virginia Tech. He can do really good things in the passing game as well.
Starting point is 00:21:27 And he can definitely do better things in the passing game than C-Rod, who we keep coming back to. Do you know how many receptions Chris Rodriguez has on his whole career, Mitch? I'm going to guess for the sake of this argument, zero. It's six. So it's zero. But still, I think he's going into year five now, year five for Chris Rodriguez. He has six receptions on his entire career. He's not a pass catcher at all.
Starting point is 00:21:51 He just cannot do that. So I'm buying all this OTA hype. I think the hype is going to probably explode at some point to the point where the price will finally catch. up. But probably not because it's, I mean, he's being so undervalue right now that even if it does catch up a little bit, he'll probably continue to be a value. So I'm getting really excited. Yeah. My fear is for redraft that like we're talking about this price tag right now of, let me remind myself, RB 25. I think that's probably going to rise by the time you're doing
Starting point is 00:22:23 your drafts in August. He could be RB 15 by late August for all you know. Absolutely. It's super possible. But what I will say is it's absolutely bonkers that he's RB20. in Dynasty and he hasn't moved at all. It's almost exactly what we just said about Cam Scataboo on a larger scale of, I think everyone was just expecting him to not actually have this job. And he kind of just has it now and no one wants to believe it. And we're telling you to believe it and go out and buy him because you can get him for so cheap right now. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:51 And I'll say as somebody who's like finally turning the new leaf on Scataboo, I would take Tooten over Scataboo in a heartbeat. And I think they're pretty similarly priced right now. Absolutely. I would actually, he's... Cheaper. Cheaper. Yeah. I would 100% go to that. Well, that is our five players rising the most so far through NFL OTAs.
Starting point is 00:23:14 If you guys are buying these players, let us know down below. If you have anyone who's rising that we didn't talk about, also make sure to let us know so that we can talk about them in a future episode. Mello, do we miss anything? Nothing for me. All right. We'll catch you guys next episode.
