Starting point is 00:00:00 Welcome into the lineup fantasy football show. I'm Mitch Anderson. I'm Justin Mello. And Mello, we are joined by a very, very, very, and I rarely do this, but I'm going to add a fourth very special guest today. We've got Dynasty Dad from our new partners at Smash Accept. What's going on, man? I'm thrilled to jump on with you guys. I've been a fan of your show for a while, and I'm glad we're getting to chop it up.
Starting point is 00:00:20 And man, we are fired up to be joining the Smash Except team for the 2026 NFL season. So click the link in the description or the card above and use the code lineup 50 for 50% off some league winning tools. And we've got a big one to start this out. I love this trade. Super Flex League. We've got Bejohn Robinson and Cam Ward plus the 104 here in 2026 for Burrow, Giovante, Quinshawn Judkins, and then a first, a second in 2026, and a 27 second.
Starting point is 00:01:03 A lot going on here. We're going to let our guests go first here, though. Where are you thinking about this, Mike? My guys, you're hitting me up with just an absolute banger right off the rip, but let's do it. And that's what we do. We break down trades all the time over there at Smash Except. So, I mean, my first thing is, I'm buying Cam Ward everywhere. So I think the other thing that we preach is insulation.
Starting point is 00:01:23 So I think Cam Warden, the 104, is worth Joe Burrow in the 208. And I like to, when I take these trades, you know, I try to look at it like some high school algebra equations. Let's start taking things off of both sides. So then it becomes Bijon for Giovante, Quinchan Judkins, the 108 and the 27 second. And my biggest thing is I'm always hashtag always Bijon. Like in order to replace the production of a Bijon Robinson, like you can put in a Bejohn Robinson and a David Montgomery and outscored Judkins and Williams. You know, like, you're going to be at that spot. The 108's going to get you Casey Concepcion or Kenyon Sadiq.
Starting point is 00:01:57 So I know there's a lot of pieces on that right-hand side, but I'm actually going to take the Bijon-Robbins side. And I don't fault anybody. This is a pretty fair trade. But the way I look at it and the way I play Dynasty is what I'm going to be able to do with that 104 is going to give me an ancillary piece that's going to give me three players better than anything I'm getting on that right-hand side. So it's funny you mentioned that.
Starting point is 00:02:17 When I first saw this trade, I instantly wanted to jump on the side where you're getting a million pieces. And maybe that's the way you're, lineups constructed that that actually does make sense for you. But I'm with you because of the fact that I just think there's such a big drop off between the 104 and the 108 this year. And I mean, it goes without saying that like, I don't even think that the 208 is all that valuable, whereas you're getting a really, really helpful piece with the fourth pick in your 2026 rookie drafts. Yeah, at the 104, I mean, you're going to get Tyson or Lemon, depending on what you're looking at, you know, and I think both of those guys are future foundational wide receivers. And I think that 104 is more
Starting point is 00:02:52 valuable. It's pretty even to where Judkins is, but I actually value those two wide receivers a little bit more. So that's kind of how I break down that trade. And I was with you. Like at first, I saw all those pieces, you know, and that's one of those ones where you see all that sexiness on that right hand side. You're like, oh my gosh, there's so many. And this is where the two, you're right, the 208 this year, I mean, it is not pretty. You're going to get a backup running back. You're going to get like an Emmett Johnson or Mike Washington Jr. or wide receiver who's going to be third or fourth on the depth chart. it's a poor class and I'm assuming that's probably a late 27 second so yeah I'm taking to beje on side yeah my one caveat I'll say and first of all I think I might need like an adderall or something
Starting point is 00:03:32 to fully comprehend this trade there's just so much going on but my one fear with cam ward who I am buying to and I'm buying into him being a franchise quarterback a real life success story going forward from a fantasy and a dynasty perspective I'm a little bit more worried just because you're not getting the rushing upside with Camor like you are some other quarterbacks you aren't with Joe Burrow either but Joe Burrow in recent years has been the exception
Starting point is 00:03:57 to the rule where he can throw four 35 plus touchdowns consistently if he stays healthy so from a Superflex perspective I would not fault anyone at all for taking the package if you look at startup drafts in Superflex leagues Joe Burroughs often going in the same range if not higher than Bijon
Starting point is 00:04:14 depending on the league and it goes without saying if this were not a super flex league, I would certainly take the Bijan side. That's a fun trade to get this thing started, you know, and I'm with you. And what we usually do is in my head, I see a trade and I'm already cascading it. So if I make this, I want Bijan.
Starting point is 00:04:29 But if I can trade Cam Ward to get Dak Prescott Plus, and then I could take that 104 and try to move it there. I just think the big three on that right hand side are nice, but the 108, 208, 27 second are not the type of pieces that I think are really going to move the needle to give up a Bijon Robinson who's been going 102, 103 in startups recently. I've done five of them, and he's going 101 or 102, which has been nice because I've gotten Josh Allen
Starting point is 00:04:53 at a discount on all of them. But Bijan's been pushing up boards like crazy. Yeah, we saw him go as the 101 in our lineup Dynasty League, which was crazy. It's shocking to me, but I also can't blame anyone for it. Let's jump into our second trade, though. We're going to calm down here. We're going to go with a little bit simpler of one.
Starting point is 00:05:11 We're going to talk Quinn-Judkins again with Wondale Robinson for Teteroa McMillan, aka T-Mack. This one to me is pretty easy. As much as I love T-Mack, I don't think that there's a Wondale-Robinson-sized gap between Judkins and McMillan, which is funny, because Wondale Robinson doesn't take up a ton of room, but I think that he makes this trade well worth it for me
Starting point is 00:05:32 that I would take the Judkins and Robinson package. Yeah, I mean, I look at this one, and especially, like, context is definitely going to matter. If it's a .25 PPC, it's Judkins and not, you know, side by a good portion. And if it's a 12 team, I think it's pretty fair. If it's 14 plus the Judkin size wins wholeheartedly because you're getting that extra depth on there.
Starting point is 00:05:51 Wondale Robinson is just incredibly underrated. I mean, I love Carnell Tate. I think Carnell Tate is going to absolutely smash this year. But, I mean, when you look at wide receivers who had 90 plus receptions and Wondale Robinson is an anomaly, the rest of them are all up in the early rounds where you get a guy like him who's going to be a security blanket for Cam Ward. I mean, I like him a lot.
Starting point is 00:06:12 I think this is very fair trade. I've been up and down on tech, you know, because I'm not a Bryce Young fan at all. I feel like he can't support multiple assets and everybody wants Jalen Coker to be a thing. They want, you know, all these players to be a thing. I just think they're so run heavy and that he's not going to be able to support multiple guys there. I like the Judkins side, but I think it's very fair. Yeah, I am more bullish on T-Mack than most, I think, just because I believe in the talent. But I completely agree with you that I don't love Brom's.
Starting point is 00:06:41 Bryce Young supporting multiple past catchers in this offense. Now, the good news is if he supports anyone, I think it's going to be TMAC. I think he is that kind of talent. A lot of the underlying metrics has a rookie. We're really good. The draft capitals there. So I think he has the potential to be, you know, one of the next greatest receivers in the league. So if you're bullish like me, I wouldn't blame you for making a trade like this, especially if it's like a full point PPR league, maybe only 10 teams or 12 teams. But in general, all that's equal, I do think I prefer the package. Because I agree, I think Wondale stays one of the most underrated values in fantasy football. And then Quinn Choddn Judkins, you have a young running back who is very good as a rookie. Obviously,
Starting point is 00:07:15 you don't love that he's on the Browns, but at least they're giving him so much usage on the ground. So you're going to get that for years to come. I love what you mentioned, Mike, about Juan Dale Robinson as a safety blanket for a young quarterback. We just saw it with Jackson Dart last year without Malik neighbors. We see him have 1,000 yards, 92 catches. To me, I agree. I think he's one of those guys that's going to continue to be undervalued. We say he's the short king that everyone doesn't want to draft, but he's going to get you so much value. Yeah, and Judkins, I mean,
Starting point is 00:07:47 the improved offensive line, the new system with Todd Munkin, he was on pace for 1,200 plus and 10 touchdowns, you know, before the injury last year, and they went out and they went crazy heavy on that offensive line, improved at three separate positions. I think he's going to smash.
Starting point is 00:08:02 I completely agree. On to our third trade, though, Mello, you're going to have to start here, but let me give the context. We got this one on. Twitter, pulled the trade off a few weeks ago. I was on the Monty and the 104 side, still have a contending team with JT, Jamar, Flowers, and Nico, with Hertz and Dart as my two QBs in a one quarterback league. This is two running backs, two wide receivers, two flex. As our resident Derek Henry guy,
Starting point is 00:08:25 though, Mello, you got to start here. This one, I feel like I'm being torn in a million different directions here. I guess really just two directions, but I can't decide which one I like, because I am so bullish on Derek Henry if you're a true contender and you're trying to win right now. But with that said, David Montgomery is one of my other favorite old man running backs for contending dynasty teams. He's actually a few years younger than Derek Henry. I don't like him as much as Derek Henry, but I really do like, I don't buy into the hype of Woody Mark's splitting carries. I think this is going to be David Montgomery's backfield. I think they're going to be running the ball a lot with the deep, good defense that they have.
Starting point is 00:09:00 And with that said, I think the gap between the fourth overall pick where you're getting a guy like a Jordan Tyson or a Mackay Lemon versus a 2027 third is just too big for me that I'm actually taking the David Montgomery side here even though I do love Derek Henry as a piece for contending dynasty teams.
Starting point is 00:09:17 I really just want to put you in a position where you had to say you weren't taking a Derek Henry side because I'm truly cruel and unusual. Mitch, I love that because I do that to snooge all the time. I'm like, I'm going to put you in a spot where you have to say it's not Jemir Gibbs because he says it's always Jameer Gibbs. But this is what we call a smash except. I mean like I have
Starting point is 00:09:35 Derek Henry worth a late first, as much as I love him. Yeah. He's been a guy, I've been doing this for 13 years. I've never seen anything like this. Like three years ago,
Starting point is 00:09:43 we were like, okay, he's worth a late first. Let's sell him. You know, and he's just proven people wrong time after time after time. But in a trade like this, I mean,
Starting point is 00:09:51 and this is what we call insulated trades where you're getting, you know, you're giving up a player at peak value, you're buying another player and then an ascending pick in there. That 104, like we just talked about,
Starting point is 00:10:01 it's going to be Lemon or Tyson. And even if you don't, in this particular format, and you want a running back. The 104 can buy you literally. I mean, you could get up to Jonathan Taylor, James Cook, Chase Brown. You're going to get a guy who's going to put up the same as Derek Henry. So then it becomes essentially a free David Montgomery.
Starting point is 00:10:19 So, yeah, I think this one's a no-brainer. But it's fun that you guys did that, trying to set him up so he had to say, not Derek Henry. I just wanted to see Mello squirm. Let's kick it to this next one, though. We're back to the mega nuclear trades here. We've got Brock Bowers, Marvin Harrison Jr. who, by the time we're at, what, 10 minutes into the episode, he's put on another 8 pounds of muscle. Pair him with Ladd McConkey and then a 2026 second and fourth plus a 2027 first for this package on the right of Justin Jefferson, Trey McBride, and Bucky Irving. Mike, I'm going to let you kick this one off.
Starting point is 00:10:55 This is a monster deal right here. You guys aren't messing around. You're not like, you know, you hit me up with that crazy one in the beginning. Then you give me the layup here with the Derek Henry. going back to this bad boy. So the way I look at this one is Brock Bowers is as much as I love Trey McBride. I mean, we're talking like a three-year gap there. Brock Bowers is going to be absolutely eat. You know, Trey McBride last year was just a perfect storm with Jacoby percent, you know, not wanting to throw interceptions, always trailing, being that dink and dunk underneath
Starting point is 00:11:25 and really exploded last year. So, I mean, they're obviously your dynasty titan one and tight-in two. But I have a gap of them probably as a mid to early second. So the way I would equate, and I have Bucky Irving somewhere in that late first range. So I'm going to do Brock and the 206 and I'm going to move out McBride and Bucky Irving. So that makes it
Starting point is 00:11:47 Marv, Ladd, and a 27 first for Jefferson. To me it's a matter what that 27 first is. Like I know you guys have seen this as well. On our trades is everybody wants their 27 first to be Jeremiah Smith. And that's just not it. You know, and the class is phenomenal. Like I said, I've been doing this a long time in 2017, 2020, 2020, and now we're talking about 2027 or some of the best classes I've ever seen,
Starting point is 00:12:11 absolutely special. So the way I look at this one is early, it's the lad side, mid, it's fair, late it's Jefferson. You know, overall in this trade, I think I'm going to take the Brock Bowers side there because I am big on Ladd-McConkie this year. I think Ladd-McConkey and McDaniel's offense could be a Tyreek Hill light. type usage, you know, someone that's just going to get open nonstop in the slot. I have 24 dynasty teams, zero shares of Marvin Harrison Jr. So what I'm already looking to do if I take that Bower
Starting point is 00:12:39 side is trade Marvin Harrison, though. So it's a very difficult trade to look at because contending wise, you definitely want Jefferson. You definitely want McBride and Bucky Irving. Bucking Irving is very underrated. Like everybody's, I've gone from like he's a sell because of Kenneth Gainwell and Sean Tucker to now he's way too cheap. So this one's kind of really determined. what that 27 first is and what your direction is. But if you're contending, it's really hard to not take that that McBride-Jephenson side. Overall, I went the Bower side. So I wasn't not taking a side there. I'm just like, I need to know a little bit more context. I hope that makes sense. Yeah, I tried to put in as much context as I got from people. This one was given to us with none.
Starting point is 00:13:17 So I like that you said which circumstantial side you're taking. It's so funny. You probably heard me sigh when you said the Bucky Irving being too cheap now because I feel like I made a reputation of being an anti-Bucky Irving guy, but I do have to admit, like, we keep seeing, I feel like this summer's been insane with the overcorrections based on injury news. And I don't think a lot of people are talking about the fact that it sounds like Bucky Irving's a full go for training camp after those weird Todd Bulls comments a few months ago. That being said, I'm still firmly on the Bauer's side. Mello and I are Ladd-McConkie's biggest cheerleaders, even if we don't like Marvin Harrison. I think Brock Bowers has the potential to be the next great tight-end.
Starting point is 00:13:58 for fantasy football and then you tack on these picks. I'm taking that side pretty firmly, but Mello, where are you out on this? Yeah, I think I feel similarly. I think sort of to your earlier point, a lot of this depends on where you are in your team's lifecycle too. Like if you truly are one of the best one or two teams in your league and you want to go for right now with Jefferson and McBride, hold tight. I think that's totally fine.
Starting point is 00:14:21 But context aside, I do think I will reluctantly take the Marvin Harrison Jr. side, even though I love to make fun of him. I'm just way too bullish on Brock Bowers and Ladd McCocky going forward. You get the pick in there, too. So I do lean the Bauer's side. Man, Mellis, so you're trading Justin Jefferson for Marvin Harrison Jr. Straight up is what I'm doing. 100% every time.
Starting point is 00:14:44 This feels like one of those trades guys where it could be neither. You know, it could be just like, let's kick the tires and explore something else. Because it feels a little bit too fair to make sense sometimes unless you're all in on that Jefferson side and you happen to be a bucky guy. It feels like we might want to draw up something a little bit different. Yeah, I think that's a great point too. That's something people forget you can just do is start from scratch on a trade. Let's move on though here. We've got a much simpler one. We're talking Luther Burden for Tank Dell, a 2027 third and a 2027 first. This one is tough because I need to know where this 2027 first is projecting. That really
Starting point is 00:15:22 determines where I'm out on this one. Yeah, I agree. I think on our show, Mitch, we've probably been a little bit more hesitant to draft or to get shares of Luther Burden than most because of how just through the ceiling his cost has been, both in Dynasty and Redraft. But with that said, if that ends up being like a late 2027 first, I want the shot on Luther Burden because even though I'll say his cost is maybe getting a little too high for my liking, I will never deny the type of long-term upside he has. I mean, he could be a year from now. a guy in startups that's going in the first or second round if all falls right here in 2026. Now, if that 2027 first obviously is the first overall pick, that changes things. But if it's a later even mid-2020 first, I want the upside from Luther Burden. Yeah, I would actually say even amid 2027 first, I'm probably doing this. And that's as someone who's been critical of Luther Burton. Yeah, and this is fantasy nerd boy.
Starting point is 00:16:18 I mean, he makes, you know, he's a very sharp guy. I've played in leagues with him before. So it's definitely, it's definitely mid to late, I would assume. But the way I look at this one is like early, it's the picks, mid, it's fair, late, it's not even close, it's burden. So I think you really got to take a look. And this looks like that's in that Creators League that those guys are in because I know Blitz as well, awesome guy. So I mean, I want the burden side unless it's early because I do think Luther Burden's going to ascend. I do think Tankdale is a good story to make the comeback.
Starting point is 00:16:47 The 273 doesn't do much. So I want the burden side. Yeah, I think that receiver room is just getting a little. little too crowded for me to feel confident taking a shot on Tankdale right now. Same here. All right, we've got a three-teamer. Right when you're getting lulled into a sense of security here, let me see if I can read this without losing my mind, but Team 1 is receiving Jacoby Myers and T. Higgins, and they're giving
Starting point is 00:17:11 up Malik Washington a 2028 first and a 26 fourth. Team 2 is getting A.J. Brown and J. Warren giving up T. Higgins and two 2027 seconds. And then Team 3 is receiving Malik Washington, 27 second, a 28 first, a 2027 second, and a 26th. And they're giving up A.J. Brown, Jacoby Myers, and Jalen Warren. Thankfully for our viewers, they will have a nice graphic on screen that illustrates this a little bit more clearly. But let's start breaking this down. I mean, obviously, I'm seeing Team 3 as a team that is entirely blowing it up. They're trying to get picks.
Starting point is 00:17:49 We love A.J. Brown. we love Jacoby Myers but if you are not contending right now there is no reason to have those guys on your team so I love being able to go out and get two seconds and a first and then Mello I know the two of us aren't huge on Jalen Warren yeah I'm more so of a
Starting point is 00:18:07 Rico Dattle guy and I mean if you're rebuilding I don't blame you for moving off of assets like AJ Brown and Jacoby Myers and I mean all of those guys are veterans I think the one thing I would say though is I think you probably could have gotten more from a contender than I do too.
Starting point is 00:18:22 A first, a couple seconds, and a fourth. I mean, if you're really contending, there's reason to give up more for just A.J. Brown. And Jacoby Myers, I think, is a guy who's underrated. I mean, he doesn't give you elite ceiling, but his role in that Jacksonville offense is probably the most secure of any of those receivers, and he's been productive.
Starting point is 00:18:40 He outperforms his ADP and redraft every year, so he's a guy like, so I don't blame Team 3 for moving on from those assets that they do want to blow it up. Probably could have gotten a little bit more. And then for the other two teams, I think that's pretty good value for both. I agree. If I'm in the AJ Brown side there, I'm pretty happy if I'm going for it right now.
Starting point is 00:19:05 Yeah, I'm looking at this and I'm with you, Mello completely. I think a lot of teams are really worried. They come to me and they're like, yo, we're at this spot right now where I'm rebuilding and I want Jeremiah Smith. I've got to get these players off my team. And I'm like, it's July still. You know, we're moving into August. I get it. No one scores points until September, so chill. You know, but you should easily get a first for T. Higgins. You should easily get a first for A.J. Brown. You should get a second for J.L. Warren. And this just isn't enough. I mean, Malik, Washington is a fine toss in, but you're getting basically the way I look at it. You got a first for A.J. Brown. You got two seconds for, you know, it's just not enough. You're not getting enough assets there. So I do think the contenders got what they wanted. I think, you know, T. Higgins is a really good buy right now to get two seconds there. But, AJ Brown on the other side works.
Starting point is 00:19:52 I think this works out for everybody, you know, and I think this is something where if you're trying to get a deal done, if you creatively bring in the third guy, you know, he can offset things because he's rebuilding. I think that's great for everyone. I just think team three should have got a little bit more as well. Man, you threw in some,
Starting point is 00:20:07 you threw some curveballs there, man. Some of those were like, geez. I was like, yo, I say you, the trades, I'm like, it's like your favorite player or a guy that, and then I'm like, whoa, this is like 17 guys in this one. I love it, though. I want to separate them, too, to have the, like, two-person trade and then like bam i know you were like all right set them up you were like
Starting point is 00:20:25 straight up doing crossovers you're like all right this one's gonna be crazy yeah we're going to sleep then we're coming back hard establish the run and hit you with the play action i was like the Zach alpha macas meme with every freaking trade like yeah with like the math going through yeah and it is basically i mean the stuff that we get on our trade show i mean we're we're doing trades for an hour and a half and some of them i'm literally like i literally do it like algebra equation sometimes because there's so much on one side. So I literally got to be like an order of operations. I got to start taking something on both sides to get it down to something where you can you can literally break down the analysis because one like this, it's like,
Starting point is 00:21:01 dude, there's so much there. Like we got to figure out a way to make this one work. 100%.
