So let's break down 10 trades to make while you still can before the season kicks off. Let's go. Welcome into the lineup fantasy football show. I'm Mitch Anderson. I'm Justin Mello. And Mellow, let's break down 10 trades to make to get as much value as you can before it's too late heading into the season. But Mello, without further ado, let's jump into our first trade that you would make to extract some value here before it's too late heading into the season. Let's start with a little bit of a tier down at receiver going from one veteran to another. That being, let's move DJ Moore and a 2027 projected mid-round third. for Chris Godwin and a 2027 second also projected mid-round. This is a tear down I would do 10 out of 10 times. Because right now, DJ Moore is the recipient of all of this hype being Josh Allen's potential number one receiver,

could be a potential breakout like we saw what he went to Chicago. But Josh Allen has really become a major distributor of the football, who I think will likely continue to do so. He'll get multiple guys involved where I don't think DJ Moore is going to be like a Stefan Diggs-esque alpha for Josh Allen. And we've seen DJ Moore's production decline each of the last two years. Some of that might be situation-based. But also, he just doesn't look like the same player and he hasn't in a few years.

Meanwhile, you have Chris Godwin, who's only one year older, so the age isn't a super big concern. And he's in a much pass happier offense than Buffalo, who was bottom five in pass rate last year. And he's now fully recovered from that leg injury, the ankle injury that we saw in 2024, where by the way, he was the wide receiver one overall in PPR formats prior to that injury in 2024, wide receiver two overall in standard and half on PPR. So I like the idea of selling more and selling the hype around him while you still can

and trading up a whole round in 2027, which is a loaded draft class. This is your guy. Chris Godwin is your guy. I mean, we talked about this. Like DJ Moore, I think there's so much excitement with getting attached to. Josh Allen, but we look at recent years and you've brought up this stat. Like, Khalil Shakir has been their number one and he hasn't really exactly gotten a competitive target share. Josh Allen spreads the ball around. Even Stefan Diggs time in Buffalo, like, it wasn't as condensed of a target share as people

think. And so I think this is a perfect sell candidate and DJ Moore and a guy that I think both of us have agreed hasn't really passed the eye test the past few years and there's efficiency concerns. Meanwhile, Chris Godwin just two years ago before the injury, like you said, wire receiver one overall in PPR formats. They pay him after the fact, showing how much they believed in Chris Godwin being a receiver for the future here in Tampa. And I feel like we're all sitting around being like, okay, is the breakout going to be a Mecca Abuka?

Is the breakout going to be Jalen McMillan? Meanwhile, maybe it's just Chris Godwin, the forgotten man in Tampa. That's the actual value here. So to me, this is an absolute slam dunk, especially if you can be out level up on that pick there. I just think this is like such an obvious slam dunk and a great one to start with. They don't call him God lose, Mitch. That's true. They certainly don't. That's the best analysis we'll get at this whole episode.

Yeah, that's pretty in depth. We're going to go from a tier down to a tier up here, and we're going to be moving Jalen Warren in a 2027 second for Saquan Berkeley. And this one is very fun to me because we actually have a trade away Saquan Barclay trade later on just because if you're rebuilding and the timeline doesn't add up. But if you're a contending team, I think this is actually one of the best moves out there because there's a real window here for Saquan Berkeley. This was the RB one overall just a year ago, and now we're leaving him for dead.

But the Kevin Patul disaster in Philadelphia, paired with Sequin coming off of a 400-touch run to the Super Bowl, it all led to an efficiency disaster in 2025. This is a guy that still has juice, though. Now he gets back a healthy offensive line. They get in a new coordinator who, like you've said, isn't just giving your little cousin the controller in Madden and letting him call plays. So we expect to step back way closer to the 2024 Eagles. Not saying they'll be that, but it'll certainly.

be a way closer image to that than what we saw last year. And so if you're looking to go all in, this is a true contending piece that to me just feels way too discounted right now. Absolutely. Sequan is one of my favorite buys for contenders right now. There's a couple of veteran running backs I really like. Sequin is at the top of the list. And Jalen Warren isn't. I view the gap between Jalen Warren and Sequin Barkley, both in the long and short terms, as so seismic that Yeah. A 2027 second, even in a loaded draft class, does not bridge that gap for me. So if you really want to go get a title and you need a running back, Sequin is a great candidate for all the reasons you mentioned.

He has the offensive line healthy now. He has a new play caller. He has a full off season of rest, which obviously going into last season, they played up until the Super Bowl and he had a zillion touches. Right. None of that is the case anymore. So I'm buying this bounce back, and this is a trade. making 10 out of 10 times as a contender. If they had banned the tush push,

I'd be going all in on Sequin Barkley. All of my chips would be in. But at the very least, I'm willing to give up Warren in a second. Definitely worth it there. All right, Mitch, let's shift gears to quarterback now. And I'm actually going to hit you with another tier down. Going from Joe Burrow, trading him away for Bo Nix and Jalen Waddle,

which is a pretty reasonable trade in Superflex formats, at least pretty much wherever you look. And I love Joe Burrough. Joe Burrow is awesome. I'm totally one of the suckers who's just like mesmerized by his aura and he's a great player and he's so fun to have in a fantasy. But this is a tear down I'd be super excited to do.

We talk about Bo Nix and how he's been a little bit disrespected. I think largely because his ceiling is admittedly capped. Like I don't see a scenario. He has a top three finish in his career. The ceiling is cap, bro. ceiling's cap, bro. The ceiling's total cap. But he's been the quarterback seven each of the last two seasons.

And he's ranked outside of the top 10 wherever you look in Dynasty, despite only being a year three quarterback. And I know he already had his AARP membership when he was coming out of Oregon, but he's still on his rookie deal. Like, he's not old. And in Superflex formats, he'll be a serviceable quarterback one, honestly, I think, for years to come. But at the very worst, an elite quarterback, too.

and although Burrow is undoubtedly better without question, he's older, he has some injury history, and he carries a hefty price tag, so hefty that you can go out and not only get Bo Nix for him, but his new wide receiver one in Denver, Jalen Waddle, that's a tier down I'm willing to take every time to get that stack in Denver, which could be explosive and super exciting for years to come.

Yeah, Bo Nix was like playing at Auburn when I was in fifth grade. This to me is a really high upside stack. I think if you look at Denver last season, they ranked fourth and pass rate. As you mentioned, Bo Nix with two straight seasons to start his career as the quarterback seven, which it is funny. It's like, ah, yeah, maybe there's a cap on the ceiling here, but it's like, I don't know, I'm pretty okay with quarterback seven every year. And then you tack on Jalen Waddle, the situation's just getting better.

And Waddle obviously disappeared from a production lens the past few seasons, but like the talent hasn't disappeared. Last season, he ranked top 12 in yards per route run, targets per out run, first downs for route run, separation score, route win rate. Like, I feel like I could just run. rattle off every stat and Jalen Waddle was popping up there. So I love Joe Burrow. There's a clear aura gap relationship here between him and Bo Nix, but he's the older quarterback. He's had health concerns. I think there's a weird vibe to me around like how long does Joe Burrow really want to

play? Like, when's he just going to like say, yeah, I just feel like hanging out the aloe training facility for the rest of the rest of my life. But I think if you can pull this one off, it's a phenomenal tear down. Definitely. And you get to do the little penguin waddle in your living or whenever Jalen Waddle scores. And that adds value. That's like a thousand points in a trade calculator to me. Yeah, we've got to build that in, I think. Yeah, we got it.

But now, back to the video. But Mello, here at number four, we're going to talk about a guy who seems extremely expensive because he's the tight end one. And yet I think he's too cheap, and that's Brock Bowers. And I've got a tier up here grabbing Brock Bowers in exchange for Trey McBride in a 2027 second. The expectation when you make this deal is that we see this guy separate significantly

from the entire landscape of Tidens similar to a gronk or a Travis Kelsey of years ago, and he's only 23 years old. And that's one of the main sticking points here. You've got a three-year age difference, age gap relationship between the two of them. But I think the invents, environment in Arizona is not going to be nearly as pass-happy simply from a regression standpoint,

but also you don't go out and sign Tyler Alger and then you draft Jeremiah Love at the number three pick without the intention of keeping the ball on the ground a little more. And last year was injury riddled from week one for Bowers in New England. He had the knee injury. Still finishes the tight end three in points per game. And of course, two years ago was his record-breaking rookie season as the tight end won. Now you introduce Clint Kubiak, who called him a football robot from heaven. We already saw what Clint Kubiak can do when he's scheming up his number one option and they improve the offensive line. Go get Fernando Mendoza. Go get even Kurt Cousins, who's a big step up from Gino Smith in my opinion. So I would honestly give more than what we have here to make this

happen. But I think that this is a fair deal that you can pull off. This one's tough for me. It really tears at my brain and my heart and maybe. Yeah, they're a little split here. I don't, I'll get out in front of it though and say, I would not fault anyone for making this trade. I think this is a very fair trade. The reason it's a little bit tougher for me is because I am such a believer in Trey McBride. And people talk about the passing volume going down and how it's inevitable, like you mentioned.

And it's totally right. Like, they're not going to throw the ball as much going for as they do in 2025. And people talk about how his best season ever will be 2025. He'll never top it. And that's also true. Like, I'd be shocked if Trey McBride has another season quite like that. my thing is he doesn't really have to. Like he was so phenomenally elite that he can take a cut and still be elite.

We saw, I mean, I think what's reasonable is what he did in 2024 when he still was a game changer. He was the tight end two behind Brock Powers. Right. And with that said, he was behind Brock Bowers, who I think has the chance to be the Travis Kelsey the next decade in this Clint Kubiak offense. He is a few years younger than McBride, although McBride's only 26. It's not like he's that old. So with all that said, I would not fault anyone for making this move to go out and get Brock Bowers because I just feel so bullish about the next, honestly, decade of Brock Bowers.

100%. All right, let's go to a blockbuster here, Mitch. Let's do a trade here. This is for contenders. This is for someone who wants to go and win a championship. Let's trade away Travis E.T.N. H.N. I hate that I have to say both. pronunciations every time I bring them up or people get confused. But let's trade that guy and a

coveted 2027 first, projected late first if you are a contender. And let's get Derek Henry, Terry McLaurin, and a 2027 second, we'll call it projected mid. This is the F them picks. Let's win a title trade. Like let's go win. F them picks. And call me crazy, but I would absolutely do it. I think a lot of trade calculators and rankings would say maybe you don't do this. I would do it if I'm truly a contender because in my opinion Derek Henry is a significant tier up from ETN in 2006 like I think that is a giant gap and then if you can go get Terry McLaurin as well in this deal who I think is an incredible by the dip guy I think coming off that 2024 season where he had like as many touchdowns as dante Johnson and jacobby Myers have had their whole careers

combined he was like too expensive and redraft he was going high and his dynasty value increase, but now we're coming off this 2025 season where not much happened because he was banged up and his quarterback and Jaden Daniels was banged up. And people just kind of let that sit in their minds and he falls in these rankings and he's cheaper now. You buy the dip on it though. He's healthy. Jaden's healthy. I think we could see a really good 2026, even a good 2027. He's 30 years old. He's not ancient quite yet. So he's a player I like for a contender. And honestly, getting a 2027 second out of this as well, trading down just from the late first to like the mid-second. Sure, you'd rather have the late first, but a mid-second is still a great pick, especially in

this upcoming draft class. This one seems like a no-brainer to me, although it doesn't seem like it feels like a no-brainer to a lot of people. Yeah, how could you trade a 20-27 first? That's where all the outrage is going to come from. Terry McClure and only being 30's crazy to me. I feel like he should have been in that commercial for Tocitos with like Jerry Rice and Dan Marino when they try to play again. They're like 60 years old. A lot of arthritis. lot of arthritis. Yeah, I mean, obviously the big sticking point here is you're giving up a 2027 first, but like, I would do that if I had a real shot to win a title. And to me, this is like one of those putting you over the edge trades. We're so far in on Derek Henry, so much so that

you've gotten me on the train that I think he's like a dark horse offensive player of the year candidate, which I still have to make that bet. But meanwhile, Terry McClureen profiles to be the main weapon in a projected Washington commanders bounce back that we've been all over. and, you know, Jaden Daniels' number one weapon. So I think you're giving up a lot, but like, we play for rings around here at the lineup. And I think that's always the advice we're going to give is when you're on the precipice of winning a championship, don't sit on the sideline and be afraid to be too aggressive because I think sometimes you've got to make sacrifices to get your ring. Absolutely. And go get it. That's where we play. We play to win. So go get your ring.

Don't expect it to just come to you. Go get it. Let's jump to a trade here that to me feels really obvious, but there is a stink. around this guy and some people are getting upset about how much he's getting called a bounceback candidate and that's Ladd-McConkie and I want to get him in a trade for Chris Olave because to me one of these guys is in a situation that feels almost flawless in Ladd-McConkey built up to help him succeed and ascend and then you've got a guy who's in a situation where they just spent top 10 NFL draft capital on another receiver still has huge question marks around his health despite a really successful season that was largely dependent on like insane volume. I think that's just such a sticking

point to me is I feel like we've all kind of just forgotten about the Chris Oliva health issues. And like, just like last year, we were all like, ooh, don't want to touch that. And then he did have an absolutely phenomenal season. I had him on my team. And like, every week, it was like, oh, sweet, Chris LaVey got me 20 points. But the reason he did that is because he had an absolutely ludicrous target share. And that's just not going to be the case. You've got Travis Achan coming in. You've got Jordan Tyson, which if he's on the field, I don't think he commands like an insane amount of targets, but it's going to be enough that it's going to affect a guy who is basically just a PPR merchant. And I say that lovingly to my darling Chris Olavé. So this is a situation where I'm capitalizing on the huge year that Alave had. I'm capitalizing on the down year that Ladd had. And I'm pulling off a heist for a guy that I think despite leaving a bad taste in people's mouth has a far greater chance of being a star on your team. And more importantly, being worth more at the end of 2026 than he was now, where I just don't see that being even a remote possibility for Alave.

The rare one-for-one receiver for receiver trade, but I love this because a trade like this demonstrates so much of what I believe in philosophically when it comes to dynasty trades. One of those things being buy the dip on really talented young players like Ladd McCawkey and sell the peaks of Chris Olave. Like you mentioned, he's coming off his first fully healthy season where things look great. And he's so much more expensive now than he was a year ago. Like, that's the type of player I want to sell. And then the other thing I believe in philosophically is buying players who project to have their value increase in a year. Exactly. Players who project to have their

value decrease, which again is Ladd-McConkie and Chris Olabe, because this time next year, if McConkey has the year that he could and probably should have, we'll be saying, Ladd McConkey is the young, talented number one receiver for Justin Herbert. Hopefully Mike McDaniel is still there. We'll see if he gets a head coaching job. But everything's going to be looking beautiful. Whereas Chris Olive, it's going to be, all right, even if Jordan Tyson doesn't command a ton of targets as a rookie, he's super talented and he's going to look the part. And now all of a sudden it's, man, is Chris Olbe fighting for targets with another superb receiver and Jordan Tyson going forward?

What's his target share going to look like long term? Can the Saints and Tyler Shuck or whoever else is going to be their quarterback really support two elite fantasy receivers? That's probably going to be the narrative a year from now, which is why I would absolutely go out and get McConkey, even though a ton of people prefer a lobby right now. I even think there's wiggle room in this negotiation to give up more to get Lab McConkey. Because to me, you said something really important there with the Jordan Tyson thing. All it's going to take is one explosive game down the stretch. like for Jordan Tyson like we always see with rookie receivers

and Chris Oliva's dynasty value is going to plummet because now he's going to be the next big thing, Jordan Tyson. Literally look at Luther Burton. Literally look at that situation and talk about a rookie receiver who had one massive game in fantasy football down the stretch and now he is ahead of Roma Dunesay. I just think you're looking at a liability versus an asset right now. We're going to be the lineup accountants for a moment.

I'm not qualified for that. But I'm glad we can at least. Not a CPA. But I am totally with you there. And Burden is the perfect example. And I think Jordan Tyson is, and people are going to get mad at this, I think Jordan Tyson's a better receiver than Luther Bird. So.

I do too. You know, but we could see, we could see that really adversely affect the value of Oliva going forward. You want to jump to one that's going to make you clutch your pearls a little bit? Let's do it. Let's do another little crazy one right here. Mello, we're trading away Caleb Williams as well as a 2027 second, a later one, and we're going to be picking up Brock Purdy, Carnell Tate, and an early 2027 second. If I had pearls, they'd be clutched right now.

They would be clutched. People did not like when I called Caleb Williams expensive Bo Nix, and they are sure as hell I'm not going to like it when I call Bo Nix target brand Brock Purdy. Brock Purdy has officially emerged as one of my favorite values. You might have honestly been ahead of me, So I would just call it one of the lineup's favorite values this summer. And I think the cat's going to be out of the bag real quick once the season starts. And look, I get it.

Caleb Williams ascending, and this new Ben Johnson-led offense was so exciting last year. But to me, Brock Party has been and will continue to be the most disrespected QB in fantasy football, and most likely the NFL as well. He was the quarterback two in points per game last season. Now he adds in Mike Evans. You've still got Ricky Piersall, George Kittle, CMC, and now you get the the guy we just talked about in Dijon Stribling who's making crazy camp pipe right now. He's 26 years old.

Mr. Irrelevance just getting started too. I think people like to think of Brock Purdy as like so old because he's somehow, he's got like a Benjamin Button thing going on where he equally looks like kind of old and kind of young at the same time because he kind of looks like John Harbaugh. But I think there's a gap here between Caleb and Brock. I don't hear what I'm not saying. I don't think like Brock Purdy is a better asset to have in Dynasty than Caleb. It is not a Carnal Tate-sized gap.

So this is a great opportunity to capitalize on the Brock disrespect, the rookie disrespect of the entire 2026 class, and also capitalize on the Caleb pipe at the same time. And so obviously if you need to, you can mix and match Lemon or Tyson, or you could look to get a little more value on the pick, depending on who you put in and who the Caleb manager is actually rostering. But I think the idea of getting a young ascending receiver along with Brock Purdy for Caleb Williams is a really good idea. 100%. I love Caleb. I think Caleb's great. I don't want to disrespect Caleb. But he's somebody I am so actively trying to tear down in so many leagues. I mean, I'm in a Dynasty League right now where I am aggressively trying to trade Caleb Williams. I haven't had anyone take the bit yet, unfortunately. Hopefully none of my dynasty league mates in that league are listening to this. And so I lose my leverage. I'll send him the link. But the reason being is there are so many

young quarterbacks right now that are not as good as Caleb. I don't like as much as Caleb long term, but are maybe just a tier removed and the price differential you can get so much in return. Like a Carnell Tate who is going, what, second overall in just about every rookie draft this year, if you can do that, that's a no-brainer to me. Again, Caleb's great. He had the breakout last year, could ascend even further. But guess what? Brock Purdy had more points per game last season than Caleb Williams. Just last season, he had a higher points per game. Do I think that projects to continue? Probably not. But my point is that isn't his range of outcomes so you can get like a Carnal Tate out of it. Why not? And you're right. That Purdy just continues to

be disrespected. People continue to sleep on him because he was mystery irrelevant, because he kind looks like he was 16 years old. Because when he does the Dougie, it looks like. Disney Channel original movie. It's Disney Channel original movie. Even though he can do the Dougie very well. Well, it just kind of feels like you're watching like some kid at a pep rally do it, and it's not as cool. He's kind of got like mascot vibes. Brock Purdy, better mascot or quarterback? People are wondering, it'd have to be a pretty damn good mascot. He would.

How different in age do you think Brock Purdy and Caleb Williams are? Two and a half years? Yeah, it's less. It's a little under two years of age difference between the two of them. So for anyone who's like, oh, well, I'm rebuilding, though, and I want to have like a franchise cornerstone young quarterback. Why don't just take the guy who's like a year and a half older and then also tack on Carnal Tate who's 21 years old and try to get a better pick in the process?

I think this one's a no-brainer. All right, let's finish off with one final trade. It would not be a lineup episode if we didn't talk about our good friend Marvin Harrison, Jr., who has put on 15 pounds of muscle since we started. So, Jack. We're going to trade away MHJ if we did have them on our team for Devont to Smith. and this one to me is an absolute smash play. You might even say a smash except code lineup 50 for 50% off of all of these tools.

I understand the age gap between these two guys. You've got one guy who's 23 and one guy who's 27. This one's one of those more legitimate age gaps where you're looking at a guy who's clearly very young with a lot of chance to develop versus a guy that's kind of entering into that prime age and Devontz Smith. But he is going into that prime age and he's now the number one option in Philadelphia with a brand new offensive coordinator and Sean Mannion out of San Francisco.

So I command a 35% target share in the last two seasons when AJB wasn't on the field. And now we get to see Devontas Smith get increasingly more snaps in the slot because we have no more AJ Brown here in Philadelphia. We're bringing in Mackay Lemon who's going to be taking over that slot roll. And so expect to see him lined up outside a lot more

where he achieved 2.95 yards per outrun last season, tied for third best behind two decent receivers in Jackson Smith and Jigba and Pooka and Akua. Yeah, I think those guys are pretty good, right? They were all right. Oh, yeah, they were okay. We can't help ourselves. We have to end the show talking shit about Marvin Harrison, Jr.

Or it's not a true episode of the show. It's an illness. With all that muscle, though, his WWE career in three years is going to be sick. That's going to be really awesome. Him versus the Rizzler? That's going to be must-see TV on Fubu or whatever, to be. All jokes side, though. we've gone to a point with Marv where even if he starts playing better and even if he starts

looking the part and even if he becomes the number one receiver in this offense, I'm just kind of like, so what? Because we know Trey McBride is the alpha of this passing game. We know Jeremiah Love is going to be the focal point of this offense within the next year or two. So even if Marv does become the wide receiver one, he'll still be the weapon number three in Arizona. And do you really want the weapon number three on the hopeless cardinal? who don't have the quarterback situation figured out long term, who are kind of a disaster right now. Crazy stray for our guy Carson Beck right there, Mello.

Sorry, they do have Sid the Sloth at quarterback. That gives me a little bit of promise. But would you rather have that, or would you rather swing for the fences for a guy who, I say swing for the fences as if it's on the upside? I mean, the floor is very safe. The floor is unbelievable. The floor is unbelievable. And then the ceiling, you have this guy who, like, you talk about it all the time.

the draft capital he had, how good he was in college, how productive he's been in the NFL so far, and especially how phenomenal he's been when AJ Brown isn't playing. I mean, we see the top 10 finishes he has when AJ Brown isn't on the field. A.J. Brown will never be on the field with Devontas Smith again. So to me, it feels like a no-brainer, even though he is a little bit older, because of the situation, because of the talent we've already seen, I am absolutely taking him over Marvin Dynasty.
