Starting point is 00:00:00 Today, we are going to battle as we debate our most controversial players in fantasy football at each position and give our case on why we think they're ranked too high or too low heading into 2026. Welcome into the line of fantasy football show. I'm Mitch Anderson. I'm Justin Mello. And Mello, it is time to debate our most controversial players at every single position according to our rankings. We've been teasing this episode since like February and there's only one way to start it out with your guy, Rishi Rice. The headliner. Usually like in boxing or UFC.
Starting point is 00:00:30 see the headliners last, not here on the lineup. It's going to be a more uphill battle for me than I thought it would be a few months ago. I was in a pretty dark place after all of this. As a Rishi defender, as a Rishi apologist, how can I still defend this man as a great fantasy asset? But then I realized now is the time to double down. Rishi's stock is plummeting further than we ever thought it could go. And it is officially time to buy low now because we are at the low point. So let's start with the boring off the field stuff.
Starting point is 00:01:02 I usually don't like doing that. But the elephant in the room is just simply too big to ignore. We have to talk about it. So let's get into it. I am not a lawyer. I just play one on a fantasy show. Better call mellow. Better call mellow.
Starting point is 00:01:17 But here's what the people in the know are saying, the actual lawyers. He's serving these 30 days in jail. But that was always going to happen anyways. It just got expedited because he violated his probation. And despite the terrible and admittedly kind of hilarious timing and the reality that he has to rehab his knee in jail, it is still expected that he will be ready for camp. It is still expected that this will not affect his availability when it is actually time to play football. So that is a very good sign.
Starting point is 00:01:46 And as for a looming suspension, it's absolutely still a possibility. We can't rule it out. But with the facts we have right now, it seems unlikely given there has been no new legal offense other than the provisement. probation violation for using marijuana, but the new CBA is super lax on the devil's lettuce, so that alone will not warrant a suspension, if anything, it might be just because he violated his probation and it's a bad look for the league, but there's no precedent for that. So right now, it's looking like he likely will not get suspended for this. So let me be very clear, I am in no way, shape, or form trying to defend or rationalize or justify any of Rishi
Starting point is 00:02:22 Rice's moronic actions, but it's my job as a fantasy analyst to tell you why this situation is worth the risk. So with that said, let's get into the on-the-field stuff. This is where it's fun to talk about Rishi Rice. He has been elite when he is on the field. From week 7 to 15 last year, which were the only games he played in, he was the wide receiver four overall behind just JSN, Puka Nakua, and Amunra, St. Brown. He was the wide receiver five on the season in terms of points per game. In 2024, he only played the first three games of the season, but he was the wide receiver two overall during that stretch, averaging 21.6 points per game in PPR formats. And even in his rookie year, he was elite once he got going. He was the wide receiver eight overall over the last six
Starting point is 00:03:13 weeks of the season. When he finally broke out, we see that often with rookie receivers. But people write them off for the obvious off-the-field stuff that we already know about, we've already talked about, but they also write him off because he's never played a full season, so we haven't seen a top 10 finish yet. But he's been much better than just top 10, and every year he's been in the league in terms of points per game. I don't care if he's not as talented as Pook Nakua, or Jamar Chase, or Justin Jefferson, which I will be the first to admit he's not. He's not on the same level as those guys in terms of real NFL talent. But as long as he's on the field with Patrick Mahomes as the alpha receiver of this chief's offense, it does not matter.
Starting point is 00:03:50 he should be in the same conversation or at least close to it as those guys when it comes to fantasy football. And as things currently stand, he should still be the alpha of this offense as long as he's playing. Kelsey is old. He's got max one year left. We'll see how this upcoming year goes. But Xavier Worthy has done next to nothing despite being given ample opportunities over the last couple years. And the Chiefs did absolutely nothing this offseason to bring a new competition. This still is going to be an offense that runs through Rishi Rice in the passing game if he's on the field. Now, with all that said, I would understand fading him in redraft or dynasty if he was a tier one or tier two asset that was super expensive. But he's not anymore.
Starting point is 00:04:31 He's buried. He's so cheap now because people don't think he is worth the risk. I just took him 49th overall in our dynasty startup, which is ahead of where he's going in most leagues. I think Keep Trade Cut has him at like 80 or 81 overall right now in Dynasty leagues. but to me it is so worth the risk for somebody who could have a top five or top three finish over the next few years. He's dirt cheap, like I said, such an elite talent. And in terms of the risk he carries, to be honest, I'm not even really worried short term about the current situation with the probation violation. It's more of a long-term thing that he's going to do something else stupid, which is totally possible.
Starting point is 00:05:13 But I'm not going to bet on that. I'm not going to bet he keeps messing up. something about this format I feel like I want to be like Tony Reilly on around the horn and be like giving you points for certain things and taking them away. I have to admit when Rishi's recent off the field stuff
Starting point is 00:05:29 kind of caused the value crater, it may be really worried because I was starting and get a little bit in. But fortunately it's bounced back enough that I can argue against you. I will agree on one point for sure at the end that you said that like I'm far less worried in the short term.
Starting point is 00:05:44 If you're talking about how I feel in rejured, draft going in the 2026 season. I actually do think there's a lot of room for value here for people who are just like, ugh, I don't want to touch that. But I have my concerns long term about why I don't love the Rishi Wright situation in Kansas City. You actually touch on it early. One of my biggest points is, like, they're in no rush to extend him.
Starting point is 00:06:06 Even if he avoids suspensions, whatever, like, he gets on the field. I have my concerns that this team, at a certain point, the distraction is worse than the production. But let me get into why I don't really like him. I think I've probably been unfair when I say I hate him as a player. I don't hate him. I just think he's a little bit of a target merchant. And from a talent perspective, I think he's slightly overrated, which when I use merchant, like, it doesn't always mean bad. Like, it's not entirely bad. He has a propensity for commanding targets, which I think is very impressive. But in that stretch, he was healthy last year that you talked about. He ranked fifth in the entire NFL in targets, tight ends included or
Starting point is 00:06:46 Trey McBride included, as it always is for these stats. And he had about 10 targets a game. So I wonder what happens if we see this team either start to lean more on a rushing attack with Kenneth Walker being signed or they go out and sign a guy like Tyree killer, Stefan Diggs, who right now have the highest odds with Kansas City as the favorite to be their next team. And if they do, or if we're talking dynasty and long term, they go out and make more moves at receiver, you've got a guy who among receivers with a hundred or more routes run,
Starting point is 00:07:14 ranked fourth to last in the entire NFL in A-DOT or 150th with 4.33, a catch percentage that ranks 37th among receivers, and he ranked 36th in PFS receiving grade in 2025. So to cap it all off, I think my biggest issue with him is I don't know if the situation is always going to be this conducive to getting all this volume for a she-rise. And I worry long-term if at a certain point they feel like he's replaceable because they don't want to pay a guy a bunch of money who carries so much off the field risk. Yeah, I think that's a pretty shared concern across the fanx community. I do hear and I do understand it.
Starting point is 00:07:54 I think some of those metrics you talked about like the low A dot and a lower catch percentage, a lot of that has to do with though the fact that he is so high volume and he does get the manufacturer touches, which I think is a good thing. Like sure, I mean, I admitted earlier, I don't think he's necessarily an elite receiver, but I do like the volume he gets. I do like that he gets those opportunities and we're worried that the situation will always be there. Spin zone, though, he's just became a lot more affordable for Kansas City. That's true.
Starting point is 00:08:21 They're not going to have to shell him out the same kind of money they would have had to a couple years ago. So that actually could be, end up being a really good thing for the chiefs, even if it's not great for his shoe, rice's pockets. It's going to be great for his fantasy managers. Yeah. I think, I think this is one of those guys that this debate was a hell of a lot more interesting on May 18th, the day before that news broke when he was being valued as, the wide receiver 17 when i that one i was ready to literally put on the gloves and go to fucking war with you but you would have killed me yeah yeah oh my god may 19th would have been the best day of my life but at wide receiver 30 it's not as egregious he's just not a guy i'm i'm taking a chance on
Starting point is 00:08:57 at that price just because i don't like the floor i think like you said though it was put very perfectly like the variability over the next calendar year is much lower and so for redraft i'm i can buy into that for sure hell yeah i'm glad we've found some common ground. Some common ground, she writes. All right, we are actually going to jump, I feel like what makes sense here would be to go to quarterback or running back, but we're actually going to go to tight end to talk about our second most controversial guy of the spring. And I'm going to defend Kyle Pitts, the 25-year-old tight end eight according to keep trade cut. Mello, I will forever remain in the pits. I may die in the pits. And you may not believe this, but Kyle
Starting point is 00:09:36 Pitts is only 25 years old. And I don't know if you know this, but he also tax on an extra touch down a year so you can expect six here in 2020. And rest my case. No, in all seriousness, though, he's not a guy I expect moving forward to be in that top two tight end conversation. Like, I think the dream of him being the full on unicorn that was just going to be able to like take over the position and change it forever. I think that's out of the picture. But I do think he's a guy that has the opportunity to be top four, top five year in and year out. And like, for me, tight end eight is too low of a price tag for that. Last year, he ran the third most routes among all. tight ends. He's managed to be getting on the field a lot. He finished third in target share among all
Starting point is 00:10:16 tight ends. So when he's out there, they're looking for him too. We saw a massive leap there from 24 to 2025, obviously a bump in the few games London missed, but he leapt from 74 to 118 targets. And now, I haven't even talked about his 88 catches or 928 yards second in both among tight ends, only a Trey McBride, plus the five touchdowns, because I know everybody's argument is the one an explosive game against Tampa Bay that caused so much of the production. But had he never even showed up to the stadium for that game, this still would have been his best season for receptions in yards since his phenomenal rookie year.
Starting point is 00:10:52 And to me, that's a step in the right direction for a guy that we were worried was trending downwards. Elephant in the falcons nest is the QB situation. Will it be Pennix or will it be Tua? And I am someone who's come out and been like, if Tua wins the job, like put a bullet in my head before I draft Drake London. I think it would be a phenomenal fit for Bejohn Robinson, but also Kyle Pitts. We saw it back in 2024 with ironically the man who was the Thorn in Pitt's side,
Starting point is 00:11:18 thanks to Arthur Smith, when Tua propelled Jonu Smith to a tight end four finish. And then just to wrap it all up, we also love talking about contract years for these guys, Pitts playing on the franchise tag, looking for a new deal in 2027. I think we are going to see the best year of his career. and so when I look at where he's being valued, it's like, would I rather have Kyle Pitts or Sam Leporta? And I feel like only one of those guys has the chance of being a genuine league winning tight end at some point.
Starting point is 00:11:46 Same thing with like, Sadiq's interesting because we haven't seen him out there yet. I think it's the Jets of it all or Ronde Gadsden. Those are all guys going in the same range. And I'm never looking for a tight end seven on a season. I don't care. I would rather have the guy who's either going to be a tight end 12 or tight end two. and like that's kind of the Kyle Pitt situation
Starting point is 00:12:06 where I think the floor is low but the ceiling's high and that's how I like my tight ends. I think we're in agreement there philosophically how you should approach the position. I guess where we differ is I don't think that's suing's there because he's had four years to prove it and he really hasn't.
Starting point is 00:12:23 Well what would you call the tight end two year? Oh, don't you worry. I would love to get into that. It's like the classic, what is it, fool me one, shame on you, me twice shame on me. Can't get fooled again. Damn, that's two George Bush Williams in a row. People are going to think we're doing that on purpose. But once you get fooled every single season, you should probably stop drafting a certain player. And yes, I know, last year, the tight end two.
Starting point is 00:12:49 The tight end two, that's what everyone keeps talking about. But let me jump into why that is the single most fraudulent tight end two season of all time. First off, I'll just get it out of the way. I was going to save this for later, but I'll just get it out of the way because you mentioned it. That one game, I know it's, it's unfair to take away one game because he did, he was great in it. But it accounted for over 20% of his fantasy points against Tampa's lackluster secondary. So it was quite literally an outlier. But even more so than that, why it was a fraudulent tight end two season was there was a bigger gap between the Ted end one, trade McBride, and the Ted end two Kyle Pitts than there was between.
Starting point is 00:13:31 Pitts and the tight end 27. Don't you use my stat against me? Nobody makes me blue my own blood. Yeah, how'd you like in a reverse card there? They all literally. And Sam Lapora only played nine games and that's why he was the Titan 27. And I know that stats probably more Trey McBride than anything. But it also just goes to show that Pitz was not a true difference maker last year.
Starting point is 00:13:53 Like you shoot for the moon on these tight ends. Even though he was the Titan two, he didn't give you the moon because it was the same difference between him and the Titan 27 as it was him and the tight end. won. And going back to that, you know, one game against the Buccaneers counted for so many of his points, it wasn't just that game though. It really was the whole back half of the year, particularly after the injuries to both Drake London and Michael Pennex in week 11. That changed everything. Going into week 12, Kyle Pitts was the tight end 18 overall. 18. Then Cousins comes in. replaces Penix. And Cousins clearly had a better rapport with Pits than Pett's did. We even saw it
Starting point is 00:14:37 in 2024. Pits was better when Cousins was at quarterback than when Pinnock's was. And more importantly, that injury to Drake London. Drake London went down, missed four games, was hobbled for the rest of the season once he came back. And you know who's not back in Atlanta? Kurt Cousins. Like you said, it'll either be Tua, Tua or Pinnix. I don't feel great about that. But you know who is back. I don't think anyone in Atlanta does either. No, nobody in Atlanta does. but you know who is back is Drake London and Drake London was not healthy he was not playing for most of the time that Pitts had that breakout season so this Falcons offense is now either going to revert back to Penix or give the rain to Tua we don't like that and not only is it a bad quarterback situation potentially bad offense you have like we mentioned Drake London and Bijon Robinson in this offense at best Kyle Pitts is going to be their third weapon at best with bad quarterback play on a bad team. This just feels like the most obvious trap of all time.
Starting point is 00:15:36 We do it every year. We tell ourselves he's only 24. He's only 25. It's a trap every single year. I just have no interest in this. I just can't wait for next year when I tell you he's only 26 when he's coming off of his tight end one season. I'm starting to learn how to count.
Starting point is 00:15:50 Yeah. I mean, I think you put it perfectly right at the beginning. I think we agree on the philosophy of like why a player like this could be valuable. I think you don't believe in the talent. or the situation the way I do. Yeah, exactly. And this was on our rankings. This was by far our biggest separation
Starting point is 00:16:07 at the tight end position until you get down to, I want to say probably like tight end like 22. And then we started differing a little bit more prior to like A.J. Barner. So this one's an interesting one. This is one that I think there's a very wide range of outcomes
Starting point is 00:16:20 for this guy next year. I'm going to arbitrarily plan my flag that he's the tight end 13 in 2026. Let's do a bet that the other person buys the other person the inner excellence book that AJ Brown read on the sidelines and we'll do an over under of tight end seven and a half. I love that. I know. I know. I was like, I'm not even giving myself good odds. I'm just that confident. All right. Let's do it. Count me in. All right. Let's jump into our most controversial running back. But before we do that, make sure to hit that like button,
Starting point is 00:16:52 drop a subscribe if you've been enjoying the content. And let us know so far if you agree with Mello or myself on both our wide receiver pick as well as our tight end pick. But Mello, you talk about your favorite running back that I've been having some hesitancies on. I've been talking about it a lot this offseason, and that is Brees Hall, my darling, Breece Lightning McQueen, Cachow, go check out the Blockbuster episode, if you haven't yet. I meant on Breece Hall. I think my biggest issue is and always has been just that he's on the Jets. That's a very real concern.
Starting point is 00:17:23 I can't say it's not. But that's not only my biggest issue, it's my only issue. I really think that is the only thing wrong with Brees Hall from the fantasy evaluation perspective. Everything else is there. He just turned 25. He's so young. He has all the talent in the world, both as a runner and a pass catcher. He was the RB2 overall on PPR formats just a few years ago.
Starting point is 00:17:44 So we know that upside is there because he's already done it. And he just got paid a fat bag of money to get workhorse treatment in this offense. So quite literally all the variables we look forward in our fantasy running backs. He has all of them, except for the fact that he's on a terrible team. So let's circle back to that. Let's talk about the Jets. They suck. And I can't say they don't.
Starting point is 00:18:06 They absolutely are terrible, which still is the problem. That's why I don't have Brise Hall as like a top five running back in fantasy. Otherwise, I would if he was in a good situation. But things are unquestionably getting better. As much as I hated the fact that the Jets used two first round picks on Palscatchers, Kenyon Zivik and Omar Cooper in the first round, it hurt both of their fantasy outlooks as well as Garrett Wilson's, which hurt my heart.
Starting point is 00:18:29 But I actually do think it benefits Brees Hall because the Jets couldn't get anything going on offense the last couple of years, especially last year. They were seventh most in puns. They had the fourth fewest points and the fourth fewest yards. They couldn't stay on the field. So adding weapons should hopefully help them stay on the field a little bit longer. So Brees Hall gets more opportunities.
Starting point is 00:18:48 More importantly, more valuable ones down in the red zone where he can maybe score some more touchdowns. And as someone who's not thrilled about Gino Smith, and I know you are not Mitch. And I am not either. I am not a believer in Gino Smith. At least I have confidence he can elevate Brees and fantasy compared to what Justin Fields could do.
Starting point is 00:19:06 Justin Fields was a complete disaster. He did not check the ball down. Breece didn't have an opportunity to catch a ton of passes. We've seen running backs and Gino Smith's offense do well in fantasy despite being in horrible situations. Last year is a great example. Ashton Genty. Some people thought it was a little bit disappointing,
Starting point is 00:19:22 but he was the RB 16 in points per game behind an absolutely awful offensive line and an awful team led by Gino Smith. The year prior, it was similar with Ken Walker. He was running back 12 in points per game, way better in fantasy in 2024 than he was in 2025. And people forget, the Seahawks offensive line was terrible in 2024.
Starting point is 00:19:40 So bad situation again, Gino Smith offense, Ken Walker still was good in fantasy. I think Brees at this point is sort of a post-hype sleeper with a ton of talent on a bad team, but an improving one. At just 25, I'm still willing to bet on the talent in the long run that it's all going
Starting point is 00:19:56 going to work out. I'm here to admit, I'm Mitch and I may have a Jets problem. I think I see them through the green tinted glasses. Maybe it's my New England roots. Maybe it's the fact that I've drafted Garrett Wilson like one too many times. Maybe I just don't like watching the Jets. But to me, it just feels like there are guys in this range that I like a little more. I think this is probably of the two guys you talked about, like, the one that like I could
Starting point is 00:20:23 get on board with a little bit more. but I understand the argument that he was the running back to just a few years ago, but that top six included Rashad White, Rahim Mosert, and Joe Mixin, just to illustrate how much time here has passed in the running back landscape, which is like, I'm obviously saying that a little tongue-in-cheek, but I do have a fear that, like, sometimes with these running backs who peak very early and then start to slip, you just kind of don't make it back to that mountaintop, and we all know the shelf life on running backs can be short.
Starting point is 00:20:51 A few other stats like Breeze Hall average the 26th highest yards per K. last season facing the 34th highest average defenders in the box, which I thought was outrageous. Offensive line was obviously below average. They ranked 22nd in run blocking in 2025, but that didn't stop running backs with worse offensive lines from putting together way higher marks. Guys I like more like Quinchon Judkins or a guy have like neck and neck with him that I think you can get for much cheaper in Chase Brown. So I don't hate Breeze Hall.
Starting point is 00:21:20 And like when he's on fire, I actually think he's one of the most electrifying running backs to watch. I just worry about the same thing I do with Garrett Wilson from a dynasty perspective, which is like when this team finally figures it out if they do because it's the New York Jets, like how much older is Breece Hall going to be? And like what kind of value will he have given me in that time before his price has dropped dramatically? Yeah, I think that's a fair concern. The good thing is though they're already taking steps in the right direction like I talked about. And he is only 25, which is really young for a guy who just got his second contract. He is really young. And yeah, not all the metrics were there, as you mentioned, for Breeze last year.
Starting point is 00:21:59 He was still a pro football focus is 13th highest graded running back. No qualifiers, no filters, no nothing. So he still looked apart on film and I'm willing to take a bet on that talent. Yeah. He was an interesting one. This is why I love making rankings is like it's always so interesting to me to see that I'm so much lower on a guy than you that I didn't feel like I was until I dug into it. And I'm like, yeah, I do like that guy and that guy. But the potential's there, 100%.
Starting point is 00:22:25 Yeah, definitely. All right, let's dive into our most controversial quarterback. Fortunately, this guy's not controversial for anything off the field, and that's Jackson Dart, quarterback 9, 23 years old. From week four on last year, once Dart actually started for the New York Giants, he was the quarterback 8 in points per game, showed a tremendous rushing floor, which we love in fantasy football. He finished with the third most rushing yards amongst all QBs in the NFL,
Starting point is 00:22:49 despite only starting 12 games, which is outrageous. And I know you're going to get into this stuff. later, but we always talk about the stat you originally found about rookie quarterbacks that rush for 400 yards and how they do relative to ADP the next year. I'll let you break that down, but I've talked about how excited I am for them to bring in John Harbaugh, what he did with developing a mobile quarterback like Lamar Jackson, turning him into an MVP, plus my guy Isaiah likely that I think is going to quickly become one of the offense's biggest target hogs. And the biggest thing I want to harp on here is the age. If we're looking at from a dynasty
Starting point is 00:23:21 perspective. He's 23 years old. We already saw him put up a quarterback 8 average in points per game last season, and we're valuing him as the quarterback 9. All that said, I want to get out ahead of it. I do have two hesitancies, and both of them involve health. Short term, I am concerned about Malik neighbors. I think part of me has been a little bit in denial about it, feeling like we're blowing the softball video.
Starting point is 00:23:43 You've seen that him, like, shrouding the first base or some of like Harbaugh's non-committal comments. He's like, he's like, we'll either see him. in spring of next year or winter of 2030. But deep down, I am actually a little bit worried because we've seen it. It was of gruesome injury. What if he comes back and he's not quite the same? And like Malik neighbor's athleticism and explosiveness is one of the things that makes him great.
Starting point is 00:24:08 So I am taking the bet that I do think Malik neighbors will be back and great, but that has caused a little bit of uneasiness in me. Long term, I'm also concerned about health. I think Dart is a little bit reckless. Like, is he going to get helicoptered on the sidelines every other game and join the blue tent Mount Rushmore with Puka and Woody Marks? And then you got a best friend who runs into telephone poles for fun and that just can't be a good influence. I feel like a parent being like, what are you doing, hanging out with that guy? But all that being said, I'm still unbelievably in on the upside.
Starting point is 00:24:38 You can tell me all of that and I actually do still think QB9 is too cheap. I have him as my QB7 and a guy that I feel pretty strongly will be a consensus top five quarterback. and dynasty by this time next year. I'm glad you threw some disclaimers in there because that I won't feel like I'm conceding the battle here by giving some of mine. I always feel like the health stuff I want to get out ahead of because I don't like to add that into like arguments, but it's important. It is important.
Starting point is 00:25:10 And I do have some things I'll admit myself. I 100% understand the excitement. There is tremendous upside. I 100% see why he could be considered a top five to Icy quarterback this time next year. I'm not all the way out on Jackson Dart like I am, a guy like Kyle Pitts, who I said, you know, I don't see his upside. I do see it for Dart. But my anti-Dart take is really a reflection of his cost and risk versus reward. In other words, I just don't know that he's worth the price when you compare his ceiling to his floor.
Starting point is 00:25:45 So let's jump into that a little bit more. You mentioned the stat we always talk about in the show. These year two quarterbacks should rush for 400 plus yards as rookies. They always hit on ADP, basically. Over the last decade, they've essentially never missed. And you look at guys like Josh Allen, who was going as the quarterback 21 in his second year for redraft. Or Lamar Jackson, who was going as the running back, or the quarterback 14 his second year. Or Justin Fields, who was going as the quarterback 17.
Starting point is 00:26:15 Or of course last year, Drake May, Caleb Williams were going as the quarterback 18 and the quarterback 15 respectively in redraft. First of all, four of those five guys had higher real-life draft capital than Jackson Dart. And in my personal opinion, all of them aside from Justin Fields, are much more talented than Jackson Dart. But second of all, and this is the bigger problem, is the cost. Like I mentioned earlier, he's not as cheap as they are. He's going as the quarterback 10 and redraft quarterback 9 in Dynasty like you mentioned. And I'll admit, the price actually has come down over the last couple of months, which makes me a little bit more okay with it.
Starting point is 00:26:56 I'm actually more okay taking a shot on Jackson Dart now at that cost, especially in redraft as quarterback 10. So I will concede that. But it's still not quite as low as I think it should be. I think that price needs to come down a little bit more. I mentioned I don't think he's as talented as those other guys. we talked about he was the quarterback 14 last year in points per game which is okay but if we're really projecting a true breakout he's going to have to really take a huge step up in year two
Starting point is 00:27:24 it's probably not worth the risk in my mind when you talk about how recklessly he plays you mentioned he's an injury waiting to happen yeah and the giants are just not a very good football team either i don't know that i want a quarterback on a team i don't think will be very good they just lost their thousand-yard receiver in wandaill robinson who's now a Titan. And of course, Malik neighbors, you already talked about it, so I won't jump into it too much. But it seems like he's going to open the air on the pub. I don't think he's going to be ready for week one. And all the moves the Giants are suggesting tell you, they don't think he'll be ready. They're signing this 2018 dream team of receivers with Odell Beckham Jr. and Juju's Ms. Schuster
Starting point is 00:28:01 and Braxton Berrios, because why not, man? Let's throw him in the mix. So they're bringing all these bodies in because I don't think Malik neighbors will be ready. That's not good for Jackson Dart. He's going to be throwing the ball to Derr. Staten and Darnel Mooney, the vibes are just bad with the Giants right now. The situation's starting to get more bleak. So even though that price is coming down, I still don't think it's coming down more enough. It's a big gamble and I don't think it's worth one taking personally. Yeah, I think this is a similar argument about, I think we just view his ceiling a little
Starting point is 00:28:31 bit differently for this year specifically. I think it's a great point about Wondale. That's concerned me a little bit because I think Wondale is like absolutely a safety blanket and I think part of me's kind of been viewing like hoping Isaiah likely comes in here and he's that guy that he can rely on for kind of those like short yardage targets. Yeah. One disclaimer I'd love to give right now too, just for our best ball fans. Like if you're still seeing Malik neighbors where he is at ADP, it's because he's like
Starting point is 00:28:57 actively falling and it hasn't caught up yet because I've seen him in drafts still going like a little bit too high. And so I just want to give that as a warning. But I think there are risks here, but I think I'm willing to do it because he was just so good from a fantasy perspective in year one, and he's so young, and I would rather take the risk on this guy at his price that he has the potential to be a top five guy next year. I'll say this, and I know I compared to Pitts earlier, too, but I feel so confident Pitts will not be a top seven or eight tight end, like we talked about earlier.
Starting point is 00:29:29 I don't feel that same way about Dark. Dark could be the quarterback forward this year, and it wouldn't shock me. It's just I, it's not the shot I want to take, given how likely I think it is to occur. Sure. This felt like couples therapy. We're finally getting all these things off our chest and we're like, I understand where you're coming from. I see your perspective. I think I love you again. Yeah, me too. Except for Kyle Pitts is going to cause our divorce. Or is she, one of the two. Or Rishie. That'll be just the next thing on his list of things you did off the field. That was our four most controversial players at every position. Let us know which side you fall on for Jackson Dart, Brees Hall, Rishie Rice, and Kyle Pitts. And then, Mello,
Starting point is 00:30:04 do we miss anything? I'm out of breath. I'm done. All right, me too. We'll catch you guys next episode. Thank you.
