Today, we are giving you our honest top 24 running backs, including one guy that we are much lower on than consensus that you're going to want to stick around for.
Welcome into the lineup fantasy football show. I'm Mitch Anderson. I'm Justin Mello.
And Mello, we are not going to waste anybody's time. Let's jump right into things. I think the big debate right now is who is the number one running back in fantasy football.
We're splitting hairs, but if we are splitting those hairs, it's going to be Bijon Robinson for me, just barely over Jameer Gibbs.
I think there's a couple tiebreakers, which are like, I think Bijon is the slightly better
real life running back, and I think he's on an offense with slightly less competition when you
look at the other skill players. And I think he gets slightly more work in the passing game.
Like last year, he had 103 targets. Jamir Gibbs had 94. Again, I'm splitting hairs, but we kind
have to if we're deciding who's number one. And with that said, I think it's Bejohn.
Yeah, the talent was probably the biggest deal breaker to me. I had to ask myself, who have
whose talent have I believed in more throughout their entire careers.
And, like, he's just so good.
Algira's gone, and I somehow think that Gibbs is the one getting more credit for their
situation lighting up.
But the truth is, it would obviously be ecstatic to get either of these guys.
Like you said, it's literally splitting hairs.
Definitely.
I love both of these guys.
Well, here comes the shocker.
At number two, it's the other 24-year-old running back that just shed the thorn in their
side.
And that is Jemir Gibbs.
Give me the argument for Jemir Gibbs really quick.
Well, he's the only guy that even comes remotely close to touching Bijan.
literally because he's too elusive for defenders to even get a hand on him.
I know I have a problem with someone taking Jemir Gibbs over Bijon Robinson.
You have no David Montgomery in Detroit anymore.
That gets me more hot and bothered than your armpits in your 90 degree recording studio there.
So I'm all in on Jemir Gibbs as well.
We're down to 75 degrees in here.
But the only stat I have for Gibbs is in his career games without David Montgomery,
111 yards, 4.7 receptions a game and 1.4 touchdowns a game.
Like, he's going to be a demon.
He's going to be an absolute demon.
And I just want to mention, I couldn't care less about Isaiah Pacheco.
Me neither.
I may as well be the RB2.
Yeah, agreed.
Moving on to running back three on our list, 22 years old, Ashton Genti out of Las Vegas.
I'm buying in.
I'm bought in.
My wife took the kids because I blew our entire mortgage buying in on Ashton Genti in
2026 and beyond.
You bring in Clint Kubiak, you make the big free agency moves on the offensive line.
And now he is the guy who has the opportunity to bring him.
break out as the next big running back in the NFL.
Last year, he was second to last among all running backs with 100 or more carries in yards
before contact because of that offensive line issue I was saying, but he was also first among
all running backs in tackle for loss rate.
I believe his letter was in a game of tackle football.
Why wouldn't you draft the guy they can't tackle?
And he went out and he was the most untacklable player in the NFL.
Yeah, I hate that I'm buying into what the Raiders are doing.
But here I am.
I'm a total sicko.
I think we both need help Mitch because we're starting to believe in the Raiders.
But you know what?
You don't even have to believe in the Raiders to believe in Ashton Gentie because he's just
that good.
He's such an obvious breakout candidate for so many reasons that you've just talked about.
And at just 22 years old, he's going to have a long successful career.
100%.
I think that's all we got to say about him.
Let's get into the other guy, another young running back.
Everybody's talking about Jeremiah Love of the Arizona Cardinals only 21 years old.
and unfortunately for him the biggest narrative is his landing spot right now
yeah that's tough i mean to be honest if he had gotten drafted by the giants or the commanders
or even the titans i think i'd probably have him above gentie i know you'd probably disagree
with that but i think i have giants or commanders i agree yeah the colonels are just tough
but it is what it is he'll still be absolutely incredible though he's just too talented to fail he's
is 21 years old. I don't want to say every single prospect or any prospect, I mean, is
totally bust proof. But if there is such a thing, it's Jeremiah Love. I'm going to make a
comp here. Like, the landing spot hurts him, but like a potentially generational talent will win out
here sooner or later, and he's only 21, like he said. Bejohn Robinson fell into a situation
with running back competition and a struggling offense at the time. And now he's our number one at 24 years
old. Like, who's to say the same thing doesn't happen with Jeremiah Love? It's definitely possible.
Let's jump into one of your guys at number five.
Someone who's taking a little bit of a hit this off season,
but he still can't fall out of the top five,
and that's Devon A. Chan, the 24-year-old running back out of Miami.
I'll let you start.
Devon A-chan is such a tough one for me.
Early off-season, I was so in hot and bother.
I got to be honest, I'm starting to sour a little bit, though.
I think it's the changes in Miami,
obviously with Mike McDaniel gone,
and then, Tua, say what you will about him.
Tua checked the ball down to D.
RIPA check the ball down to D.
RIPA.
Check down to a.
Yeah,
check down to a losing Tua, I think, does hurt Achan.
And now he's stuck in Miami long term.
He got this extension.
So I'm starting to cool off on ACHN, at least for the short term.
But the good news is he's 24 years old.
He's got a whole lot of career ahead of him.
And he's simply too good to fade entirely.
He was pro football focus.
This is single highest grade running back last season and the regular season.
He's that good that he has to be ranked this high.
I didn't want to mention it
because we're talking
Dynasty here
and like I don't even think
he's going to get
the whole season to start
but check down Tua and Bijon
Bijon is going to love Tua
but oh yeah
I agree
I think he's
he's close to this next guy
at number six
but I think
A Chan's just too good
that he's going to get his
opportunities that they're going to find ways
to get him the ball
and he can do it on the ground
through the air like
it's a more difficult situation
than we anticipated
but I think he'll get his
Yeah, there's no one else to give the ball to in that offense too, so that doesn't hurt.
No, it doesn't hurt.
Let's jump to number six, the 26-year-old running back out of Buffalo, James Cook.
I am Bart Simpson on the chalkboard.
I will not fade James Cook because of touchdowns.
I will not fade James Cook because of touchdowns.
He'll never stop scoring touchdowns as long as he's the top back in this offense,
which he should be for at least another few years.
He's part of a Josh Allen offense, which obviously you want, you know, any other
people players.
Yeah, if Josh Allen's leading the offense.
offense. And it sure doesn't hurt either that the offensive line is also an elite
offensive line. And James Cook himself, I think, is like probably an elite running back or at
least close to it. So all the pieces are there for him to continue just be very good.
100%. On to number seven, a guy that has been a little bit polarizing on this show, but I think
both of us have actually started to warm to him. And that's Amarian Hampton, 23 year old running back
out of L.A. I'll let you start here. Yeah, I've warmed up a
bit, and I've been on record saying I don't love the price. To me, it's still, it's more redraft,
even though I've warmed up there as well. I still don't love where he's going and redrap.
And I think I'm a little bit lower than consensus and dynasty as well for him, but not too
much lower. Like, I'm ultimately okay with a round where he's being ranked because the ceiling
is absolutely there. And to be honest, even the floor to a large extent, we've talked about this
Chargers team, Mike McDaniel coming in and Justin Herbert bouncing back. Like, I do want pieces of
this offense. He's a first round talent. First round running bags very rarely bust. So all the
potential is there. If he can become the guy in this offense, he's going to be so good for so many years.
Yeah, if that passing work looks anything like the way it looked at the end of last year for him and,
like you get him into a Mike McDaniel offense, like the sky really is the limit.
Sorry, last thing I'll throw in there too. The one other thing that scares me is Keith Mitchell,
potentially stealing some of that passing game work. But we'll see. Yeah. At number eight, Jonathan Taylor of the
Indianapolis Colts 27 years old, and this feels blasphemous after what he did last year.
People did not like when we named him our biggest boss of 2026. I'll let you start here.
I have my fear of what's to come for Jonathan Taylor is almost like irrational, but I don't think
it is because I think about it. And I think it makes a lot of sense to be fearful.
He was the RB19 last year after the week 11 buy. And we remember how good he was prior to the buy.
he was like on pace to break records.
But from week 11 on or after week 11,
RB 19, also last year he touched the ball
369 times. Nice.
369 times.
That is a lot of times to touch the ball.
That is a lot of times to get tackled.
There's a lot of wear and tear there.
But the thing that scares me the most is just this Colts team.
I don't know how Daniel Jones is going to recover from this Achilles,
if he'll be the same guy.
He wasn't even really a great franchise quarterback prior to last year.
So that alone is reason enough to be concerned.
So I'm very concerned about Jonathan Taylor.
But with that said, I have no doubts whatsoever about his talent.
And he is too talented to like keep outside of the top 10.
That would just be blasphemous.
I agree.
And just to go off of the 300 touches thing,
players since 2015 who logged 300 or more carries the previous year
hit on their ADP 29% of the time and on average finished 13 position ranks
lower than that ADP, he logged 323 carries in 2025.
and I know I said touchdown regression be damned,
but that rule only counts when you're in a Josh Allen offense.
Taylor had a league leading 5.57% that is short of fall in 2026.
Exactly. Couldn't have said it better myself.
On to number nine.
I'm interested to talk about this guy.
That's Kenneth Walker the third.
Now in Kansas City, only 25 years old.
And we both said the same thing.
Are we overlooking Ken a little bit?
We might be.
We might be overlooking Ken Walker.
He's the Chiefs running back, which I know, like, we've said some negative things about their
offense last year, maybe back forward, but it's still a Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid offense.
He's the starting running back.
He was pro football focus as highest graded running back last season.
If you include the playoffs, like it does feel like we might be overlooking him a little bit.
And he'll certainly be better in Kansas City than he was in Seattle, where he wasn't really
used as like a true workhorse.
If there is one negative, it's I don't know how involved he'll be in the past game, because
that is a weakness of his, which is why he didn't get a lot of that work in Seattle.
But the good news is I don't know who else in Kansas City is going to get it, because there's
really no talent behind Ken Walker.
Think just a few years ago how highly we were drafting Kansas City running backs.
Like if you were at any part of this offense, we were giving up an arm and a leg for you.
And now it does kind of feel like there's some buzz and some excitement, but there's also that
little bit of stink around Kenneth Walker because, yes, we saw the Super Bowl MVP run.
But like, the fantasy football season wasn't all that fall.
if you had Kenneth Walker, which I know we both did.
And so I think this is very big of us to say that we're really excited about Kenneth Walker.
Yeah, we're mature.
As far as to say, brave.
It's like wanting the best for your ex.
We're very mature.
Absolutely.
Let's move on to number 10, Brees Lightning McQueen Hall, 25 years old.
Mello, I'll let you talk about your animated Pixar King.
Breeze Lightning McQueen.
I love this guy.
I almost love him more for the memes than for what he has.
actually is at this point, but I still love him for what he actually is, what he actually is.
The problem is obviously the Jets, because they ruined careers, but I still do have hope for Brise.
He's just 25. We've already seen him have a top two finish before. So, I mean, that's certainly
in his range of outcomes. And I think some of these new offensive additions, which have been
frustrating from a fantasy perspective, because I think it hurts all of those additions. But I do
think it actually, it could be beneficial for Brise Hall because I think he could help keep the Jets
on the field, get Breece more work, hopefully more valuable work down by the goal line.
So not all is lost for Breeze Hall.
No, yeah.
The extension that he signed with the Jets was like a knife to the gut for all of us who love
Breece Hall or have him on our teams.
But like you said, like, I don't think the situation is like a complete disaster.
And like, I don't think he's been that far off production-wise from being able to put
together another solid running back one season.
So I think we have him ranked exactly where he should be for his age and upside.
Yeah, agreed.
And now Christian McCaffrey at number 11, 30 years old, we're putting him here because of the age.
And if it was upside alone, he'd probably be our number one or number two running back.
But if you're in a position to win now, I'd move CMC into my top five immediately.
We don't know what's real or what's a bluff, but Kyle Shanahan came out quickly to say that
they want to give McCaffrey more rests and light in his touches this year.
Who knows if that's for real? Kyle Shanahan says a lot of things.
even know if we'll be alive or dead tomorrow morning.
Jesus.
Age and injury risk aside, you don't remember when he said that?
Was that Kyle Shanahan?
Kyle Shanahan said it, and then Mike McDaniel reheated his nachos and said it like two years
later.
Okay.
Age and injury risk aside, I still feel like he's a steal at this price.
Yeah, I agree.
I think obviously it's just the age keeping him down here, like you said.
And there are some efficiency concerns, which are legitimate, particularly on the ground.
He was not very efficient as a runner last year, which is a little bit scary long term.
But despite all of that, if you told me he plays 17 games in 2026, I would say he's the RB1.
He's going to be the RB1 again because of the usage he gets down by the goal line.
And in the passing game, it's ridiculous.
But like you said, he's getting older and the efficiency started to decrease.
I think there's a non-zero chance that McCaffrey is never fantasy relevant again.
Damn.
Like, that is possible.
I mean, yeah, that's true.
I'm not projecting that.
Like, if he gets hurt this year and is never the same, like,
and it's not crazy to say he could get hurt because he does like every other season.
Yeah.
So the floor is like the basement.
Lava.
Whatever analogy you want to use.
And the ceiling is the roof.
And the ceiling is the roof.
But he is so good in the short term that you're right.
If you're a win-out team, go out and get him.
On to number 12, very opposite situation on this one, Quinn Sean Judkins.
22 years old.
I feel like we can't stop talking about this guy,
but I'll let you start on him.
Yeah, I've talked Quinshaw quite a bit recently.
The big problem with him is I just don't want to bet on the Browns at all.
As a franchise, I don't want to bet that they can turn things around.
I don't want to bet that things will get better in Cleveland because they never seem to.
But if they can somehow turn this around,
then Judkins is a sleeping giant,
and we have them too low, even here at 12, which is relatively high.
because he's going to continue to get elite workloads.
I mean, as a rookie, as soon as he started playing,
it was week four or five, whatever it was,
workhorse treatment.
And he's going to continue to get that.
Maybe not a lot of passing game work.
So I guess that is the other knock.
But honestly, and we've made this comparison before,
like he could have a Nick Chubb type of career
and knock at the past game work and be on a horrible Browns team
and still be phenomenal in fantasy.
I was shocked to see I had him ranked higher than you
because when we did our Blockbuster's episode,
I remember saying that I don't know
what I feel about in Buy or Sell.
And once I realize I have him like a little higher than consensus
and a lot higher than you,
I was like, I guess I am a buy,
which feels you've used this word icky, yucky.
I don't want to root for a Brown's running back like that.
But even if the offense stinks, like you said,
it stunk last year.
He's 22 years old and he was still so productive.
Like, I think I want to take the shot on the fact that like you get a lot of years
out of a guy that like maybe doesn't get a ton of passing work.
but he's being given workhorse treatment that not a lot of running backs get given anymore.
Yeah, it's just tough when there's eight guys in the box every play,
but hopefully that changes.
Yeah, Deshawn Watson's going to change everything.
On to number 13, another guy was a little bit higher than you, not as high,
but Trayvion Henderson, 23 years old from the New England Patriots.
I have compared his rookie year to Jemir Gibbs, which feels blasphemous.
So I see the ceiling, but I also see the floor.
This could go so horribly wrong and truly feels like such a lottery ticket.
Needs to improve in past protection.
Seems to have had issues with his vision.
Concern me that he wasn't on the field at all, really, during the playoff run for the Patriots.
But hopefully we see a sophomore bump here and he starts putting it together because the talent is undeniable when he breaks away and just puts up these like insane numbers.
Yeah, I don't have much to add.
You've said it all pretty much.
I'm rooting for him, both as a Patriots fan and as a manager of his in Dinah.
I need a trivia on breakout like Andy Reid needs cheeseburgers. I just need it so badly. I was like
damn, then you need it bad. I need it so badly. You're right though. All the physical tools are there.
He is so freaking talented. He just needs to put it all together. And it's unfortunately a big question
mark whether he will or not. But if he doesn't, he starts getting like workhorse treatment and this
Josh McDaniel's Drake May offense, the sky is the limit. Sky's the limit. Ceilings the roof.
ceiling's the roof. On a number 14, we feel just, I feel like the exact same about this guy. Chase Brown,
26 year old running back out of Cincinnati, almost out of Cleveland. Everyone's playing there these
days. I think you'd agree. This is a bet on situation, not talent. Yeah, ironically, if he was in Cleveland,
I don't even think I'd have it in my top 24. No, I don't think so either. I won't lie. Like,
I don't think Chase Brown's very good, at least compared to other starting running backs. Like,
of course he's good enough to be a starting running back, but he's certainly not a top 14 in real life.
NFL running back and that's where we have him here at 14 and fantasy. And you're right,
it's situation. He's 26. He's tied to Joe Burrow. He got 301 touches last year,
69 of which, nice, were receptions, which are more valuable touches. So the usage is undeniable.
Cincinnati refuses to bring in any competition. They just don't address running back at all.
So Chase Brown's going to continue to eat in this good offense.
My fear with him and why I have him ranked a little bit higher in my redraft rankings is he
is an unrestricted free agent at the end of the year.
The Bengals have all of their money tied up in the rest of the offense in Burrow and Chase and
Higgins.
And so I question if he goes elsewhere, like, who is going to give him the same workload and
same offensive, like, masterpiece and blueprint that the Bengals have given him.
I have fears about it, but who knows?
Maybe he'll take a hometown discount and stay in Cincinnati, in which case you might be
getting a steal here at 14.
At 15, we've got Kyron Williams.
from the Rams 25 years old.
I'm going to list off his last three seasons,
RB9, RB7, RB7.
He's not a sexy player to roster,
but you know those are my favorites.
Great value here for a 25-year-old
at the 15th spot
that is just a consistent RB1.
Yeah, he's so tough for me
because he's so good in real life.
He's so good in fantasy.
I mean, you just rattled off those numbers.
Top 9 each of the last three years.
Like, it's crazy that he's still just 25
and we have them down at 15.
It really just comes down to Blake Corum
nipping at his heels.
We've talked about it.
Like, we don't know
what this split is going to look like
in the future.
But even if the usage does go down for Kyron,
he's still tied to Sean McVeigh.
He's got at least another few years
here in L.A.,
and he's efficient.
He gets goal line work.
So I think we might even have him
a little bit too low.
Yeah, I think so too.
I think I just said the thing
about people finding him a little bit too boring
and I'm probably doing the exact same thing.
On to number 16,
Saquan Barkley,
29 years old out of Philadelphia.
Breakdown Saquan for me.
Maybe I am the optimist of this show
because every name we say,
I'm like, do we have him too low?
Do we have this guy too low?
Yeah, but it's always that.
Then who do you move?
And then, yeah, but you know,
you can only move so many guys up
because I know he's 29
and last year was a little bit disappointing,
but he is truly one of the most talented
running backs in the league.
definitely far better than the 16th best running back in the league.
Yeah.
And that's where we have him here.
He's coming off a long offseason to rest.
Hopefully we'll be feeling a little bit better,
a little bit more rest of going into next season,
and this resurging offense,
at least an offense that we think will bounce back.
To me, it's just the age is like,
do you really want to bet on a 29-year-old running back at a Diocese League?
But I'm really not worried about his short-term productivity at all.
I think he'll continue to be very good for at least another year or two.
Yeah, he's, because I agree.
I project an Eagles bounce back too.
And if that's the case, like, at least for 2026, he's going to blow this RB16 price out of the water.
But at 29 and just like with what we've seen from him, he's in that really weird range where it's like,
you're obviously not grabbing him if you're a rebuilder, but you're not getting like a discount for like a win now guy the way you are like a Derek Henry who will get to or a Christian McCaffrey.
So you're still paying like somewhat of a high price tag for Seekwon.
So I think that's kind of why I don't know exactly what to do with him.
And 16 kind of feels perfect to me.
Yeah, I think that's a fair way to put it.
On to number 17, we will get into a guy here that is great if you're a young team,
a rebuilding team.
And that is Judarian Price, the new RB1 or maybe two in Seattle, 22 years old.
I'll let you get into him first.
First round draft capital, baby.
And sure, he was 32nd overall and the Seahawks actively tried to trade back.
But we don't need to talk about that.
Let's just talk about the fact that he got first round draft capital.
If he is able to take a stronghold on this job with Zach Charbonnet out, which again, we don't know, especially the Seahawks.
Like, it's just so murky every year with this running back room in Seattle, we don't know how it's going to play out.
But if he is able to actually take this job, especially with Charbonnet not being ready for week one, he could be phenomenal.
He could be one of the biggest screaming values in Dynasty as a 22-year-old running back,
playing for the defending Super Bowl champions.
Obviously, the fear is he gets pigeon-holded, pigeon-held.
I don't know what the...
Pigeon-held...
Pigeon-held.
He has pigeon-held...
It's definitely not that.
...to the Ken Walker role or worse.
Because, I mean, Ken Walker was great.
We talked about it, but in fantasy, it wasn't so great because of the usage or the lack thereof.
That could be a Gedarian price.
Would that be more of, like, a Gedero...
Price is incredible or an indictment on Ken Walker if he just came in and took the job making the
workhorse. I don't know how to answer that, especially with Charbonnet if he's not ready for
week one, which I don't expect him to be. Yeah, it's a different situation. What's going to happen is he's
going to be so phenomenal. It's going to be like a Kareem Hunt-esque start to a rookie year. And then
Charbonnet is going to come back and just get all the go line work and third down work and fantasy
managers everywhere are going to be punching holes and walls. Yeah. People are so hot and bothered for
Judarian Price. I would have to look at the consensus rankings. I actually don't know where he is,
but this to me, I just felt like you couldn't possibly go higher than this. I couldn't possibly put
Judarian Price above Saquan Barkley. No, just out of principle. All right, this next guy, we both love.
This is one of our favorite values in all of fantasy football redraft, dynasty best ball, and that's
Giovante Williams running back for the Dallas Cowboys, 26 years old. I've said it before.
Javante Williams is this year's Javante Williams. I love that. It's funny.
But it's true.
Yeah.
He is kind of this year,
Javante Williams again.
He got a little banged up
down the stretch last year,
but he was the RB4 overall
from weeks one to eight.
First eight weeks of the season.
He was the RB4.
He got extended by the boys.
He's still there.
We'll likely get workhorse treatment again.
There's really nobody else
that's going to take significant work from him.
He legitimately has upside to be a low end
or dare I even say like mid-tier RB1
for the next few years.
I fully agree.
In that offense, we're
constantly talking about like how highly we're propping up the past catchers and like how would
that not translate to Giovante Williams having continued success in this offense.
Yeah, 100%. I don't think he's an elite talent, but he's in an elite situation and he's good
enough to take advantage of it. Yeah. Number 19, this is a guy I don't even want to talk about.
I just, I've went from being excited about him to just like so far out. I feel like Jekyll and
hide with him, but I'm fully hide now or whoever the bad one was. That's Bucky Irving,
23 years old out of Tampa Bay. I'm out, I'm out, I'm out, I'm out, out. I actually don't even have
anything else to say. Kenneth Gainwell there, bizarre injury after bizarre injury, he still is nursing
this shoulder thing. He's limited and like they're saying he should be ready for training camp.
How is that even possible? All of last season was weird injuries popping up that the medical staff
didn't know about and was keeping him out longer than they thought it would. And now it's May
going into June and he's still got an injury that's keeping him limited. I just don't want to
this for a third round, or sorry, day three draft capital guy that it already feels like the team
is putting the plan in place to replace.
I have a question.
Yeah.
Are you out on him?
Out.
I don't blame you.
I'm scared too.
I'm like the most anti-day-three draft capital guy for running backs ever.
So you're speaking my language.
They bring in Kenny Gainwell.
I'm not saying Kenny Gainwell is like Sequin Barkley, but it doesn't.
Yeah, he's better.
It doesn't look good that they're not.
They're refusing to give Bucky Irving true workhorse treatment.
But if I can play devil's advocate,
the reason I still think he is worth a top 20 ranking in Dynasty leagues is he's 23 years old.
And if he does actually become the clear cut number one running back in this offense and Kenny
Gainwell is more of a 1B or even just a true two, then Buckey Irving is all of a sudden one of the best values,
one of the best steals in all of Dynasty.
It's just it comes with a lot of risk.
I'm going to let someone else take that chance,
and I think he's become the guy that if I get burnt, I'm okay with it.
Because I'm a man standing on my code,
and my code tells me what to trap fucking Irving.
Your code tells you out.
Out.
All right, let's jump in number 20.
A guy that we both love in the short term,
that's Josh Jacobs, 28 years old out of Green Bay.
He was like one of the headliners for an article we wrote this.
spring of the four boring players that will win you a championship.
Josh Jacobs is Mr. Boring, but he's a perfect high-end RB2 with a price tag that's nowhere
near that.
The issue obviously being he's 28 and he's coming close to that running back cliff.
Yeah, boring, but good.
He's the best kind of boring.
He's the ham sandwich of running backs, just steady, reliable.
Just to call you out, but I'm like, a ham sandwich gets exciting when you get like
mustard and some chips in there.
But on its own, it's a pretty boring sandwich.
Well, you know what makes a ham sandwich really good is when it's made with love.
And luckily, he has that in the Green Bay backfield with him.
So.
That's like, that's a weird aside.
You're like, what the hell is Melo talking about right now?
No, we both like Josh Jacobs, though.
I have so much confidence in his ability to be a high-end RB2 for at least the next year or two.
I think some people are scared by how bad the end of last year was for him.
But he was injured.
Like, I'm not really that concern.
He'll come back healthy next year.
you'll only have a couple years, which is why we have them this low,
but I think he'll be very good for at least another year or two.
I agree.
On to number 21, a guy who we really don't know how many years he has left,
which is why he's a little lower than Josh Jacobs,
but he is, in terms of redraft, we are going to be disgustingly higher than consensus on him.
And that's Derek Henry, 32 years old, running back for the Baltimore Ravens.
The win now move of the century.
He was incredibly efficient last year, top three in yards per carry.
And the king, King Henry, has been top eight at his position every season he's been healthy since 2019.
He's our favorite buy now guy for win now teams.
He's legitimate top three potential in 2026.
If you do invest anything in him, though, obviously it is purely a win now move.
There's no cliff in sight, or at least it feels like there's not.
But Father Time does always win.
bet Cliff is going to sneak up on King Henry at some point soon.
There's a reason they call it a cliff.
There's a reason.
It comes out of nowhere.
But I don't think we'll see it in 2026.
Again, purely, purely win now.
But I think he's going to be a league winner this upcoming season.
I'm fully with you.
I can't wait to be disgustingly above consensus.
On to 22.
A guy I don't like, and I believe looking at your rankings, you're not as high as most people on.
And that's Travis Etyn.
The 27 years old thing, now with the.
the Saints for anyone who wasn't following this offseason.
But I think the age thing is what bothers me.
I feel like people aren't talking enough about how he's 27.
I listen to him as a sell in our episode with Corey from Fantasy Stock Exchange,
so I'm not going to go on a tangent.
But basically, if you're buying, I think you're expecting him to be very involved
in this passing game out in New Orleans.
I just, otherwise, like, I don't see the value for where people have him ranked
as a 27-year-old running back.
Agreed.
If Josh Jacobs is a ham sandwich,
then ETN is baloney.
H.N. I'm sorry.
Oh, HN, I'm sorry.
A. Chan is baloney because that's where he's being ranked is.
It's baloney that people have him so high.
We have a much lower than consensus.
He's been so up and down his whole career.
I just don't trust him.
I also just don't love him on the Saints,
which I think is what some people like.
But if I do want to...
I don't know.
If I'm playing devil's advocate,
because even we have...
I mean, we have them at 22,
which is lower than consensus,
but it's still relatively high.
Crazy. Yeah. It's not, yeah. I mean, he's 27, which isn't young, but it's not old. And he could get heavy usage in what could be an ascending offense. And he could catch a lot of passes. So there's a path for him. I just, there's too many red flags for me to be the guy to push that button. Yeah, I'm with you. 23, we have got a guy that the floor is a little bit lava here. But in the short term, at least, 2026 is such a smash.
play and that's Travis A. Chan's replacement,
basal Tootin, 23 years old in Jacksonville, break it down first.
All aboard the Tootin hype train.
Toot toot toot toot. Tootin.
Toot toot. I'm in. The floor is lava. And I will say that. As somebody who's in,
the floor is literal lava. But I believe in his ability to win this job in a major way
and be Liam Cohen and Trevor Lawrence is running back for the long haul.
his long-term upside is well above where we have him ranked at 23rd.
If he wins this job and is actually like a true workhorse or even not a workhorse,
just like,
V1A, he'd be disgustingly higher.
But there's downside, which is what keeps him down here.
Yeah.
Because there's a chance he just stays a committee back.
And next year the Jaguars use high draft capital on a running back or pay someone in free agency.
That's all very real.
But my lord, do I love the upside.
I love the upside.
I'm hoping he keeps this job.
I'm so excited for him at this price.
Let's get into our number 24 running back.
He had to slip in here.
That's Camp Scataboo.
24 years old, dodged every bullet of free agency,
of all the rumors they were going to pick somebody up,
of the draft, all the rumors of Jeremiah Love.
And here we are.
It's him and Tyrone Tracy again.
His math the other day absolutely killed me
when he said he had 100 carries for 400 yards.
So with 300 carries, he's going to get 2,000 yards.
I couldn't believe a guy who ran into telephone polls for fun came up with that math.
He's one of a kind.
I've been pretty anti-scatibu this whole off season.
And I'm still lower than consensus.
But overall, I think it's kind of fine where he's being ranked.
Like I'm not as out as I once was because he dodged all those bullets.
Right.
We were so convinced they were going to bring in competition in New York.
They didn't do that.
And like you said, he may not be good at baseball.
basic math, and he might not be the most efficient running back in the NFL either because
he's not very efficient, but he at least projects to be the young starter in an ascending
offense, and that is obviously worth something. Yeah, I want pieces of this offense. I will say,
I don't think Tyrone Tracy goes away entirely. Like, no, Tyrone Tracy was-300 carries.
Tyrone Tracy was debatably better than Scataboo, yeah. Yeah. Well, that is our top 24
running backs for Dynasty Fantasy football heading into the 2026 season. If we miss
anyone, let us know down below. Who are we too high on? Who are we too low on? And Mello,
do we miss anything? That's it for me. All right, we'll catch you guys next episode.
