Be very, very cautious of the person where there's things always going wrong in their life,
because I guarantee they are the catalyst. They are the reason. If you're constantly negative
with this weak mindset, things are going to go wrong. More things are going to go wrong. Those
things are going to cause ripple effects to cause the next thing to go wrong, right? Your finances
are a mess, and now you don't pay your speeding ticket because you don't have money. Now you lost
your driving license. Next thing, you lost your job. That is all your fault because you don't pay your speeding ticket because you don't have money. Now you lost your driving license. Next thing, you lost your job.
That is all your fault
because you don't have money in the first place.
The victim, the weak mindset will say,
all these things went wrong in my life.
The strong mindset or someone like me will say,
no, those things went wrong because of you.
You can control the outcome here.
You can control all of these things
and why you must work to build a strong mindset,
to not only be happy and positive, but also to be a strong mindset to not only be happier positive but also
to be a better leader to be a better ceo and of course out of all to be a better entrepreneur
my name is rudy moore host of living the red life podcast and i'm here to change the way you see
your life in your earpiece every single week if you're ready to start living the red life ditch
the blue pill take the red pill join me in wonderland and change your life.
What's up guys? Welcome to another episode of Living the Red Life.
Today we're going to talk about a weak versus a strong mindset and how as an entrepreneur you can build a resilient strong mindset to overcome anything and why you must avoid people with a weak mindset.
But before we dive in, many of you don't know we are giving away over $1,000 worth of programs.
Programs we actually sold for $ thousand dollars combined for free all
you have to do is leave a review screenshot it go to my Instagram at
Rudy more life you won't miss it I've got a big image of me in red of course
screenshot that review and we will send you that program course accesses all
those different courses on ads, social media, Facebook, Instagram, funnels, marketing,
copywriting, email marketing. Go do that right now. It'll take you 10 seconds and you will get
access to all those trainings. But let's dive in while you're doing that. We are talking about
strong versus weak mindset and why a weak mindset leads to weak results. Guys, I'm excited for
today's episode. Here we go. One common denominator that I see that's
getting worse over time is a weak mindset. If you go back 10, 20 years, I think people's mindset
and work ethic was a lot stronger and people's mental resilience was a lot stronger. Now,
I feel we live in a society where people are more and more and more privileged and they have a
weaker mindset. And I'm going to tell you today how to strengthen your mindset for better results because if you want to be an entrepreneur
mental resilience is one thing that's going to separate you between everyone else it's going
to help you keep going it's going to help you push through and stay healthier and happier because a
stronger mental resilience will actually lead to overall happiness, better hormonal
regulation, better endorphin release, and of course, better mental health, right? But why do
so many people have a weak mindset? Well, I think we, like I said, over time, people have become
more and more privileged. People have become more and more expecting things to happen for them. Whereas if you go back 10, 20, 30 years, people knew that they needed to grind, right?
And, you know, I moved to America as an immigrant.
And you kind of come here believing in the American dream, right?
And I do believe that still exists.
I still think America is a great country and a land of opportunity.
And then I see so many people throw it away.
And it's sad.
It's painful to
see and it's also hard to see when someone has great ability and guess what as an entrepreneur
I used to think it would get easier no it actually gets way harder the more successful you become
the more you get people attacking you the more people see an opportunity to exploit you
like in the last two years I've've been stolen from having at least three times
within my business. And over the last five or six years, I've had $200,000 plus partnerships where
they basically breach contract and steal from me. One of them was like a million dollar launch and
all the money went in their bank account. Never doing that again. Learned the hard way and trusted them.
So yeah, so it's like it doesn't get easier,
it gets harder.
And this is why you can't have a weak mindset
if you wanna be successful
because a weak mindset would have made me say,
screw this, I'm done, right?
Or when an employee stole from me
or when a group of employees started a rival company all of those things or
when an employee stole clients I've had that happen I mean at least three times so far at like a
serious level plus the ones I don't know about right so it's like the weak mindset won't protect
you against that okay and also when it comes to if you're just out there starting your business or working in a business and employee now, one of the biggest things a CEO like myself
looks for is a strong, resilient mindset. If you're coming to the C-suite, the exec team,
the leadership team, or even if they see you around the office, which I see with some of our
employees that don't last very long, where you're always complaining, you have a weak mindset,
you're always miserable, you always look at negative things,
you're always, you get told off
and you go into a negative state
versus taking ownership and being responsible
for why you got told off and why you got a disciplinary
or why you failed, you're gonna not last in business.
You're not gonna be promoted as an employee,
your coworkers aren't gonna like you,
they might gossip and bitch and complain
at the same time with you, because most people are sheeps in life and they they mirror other people but
eventually they'll realize too that you're always complaining i see this i literally see groups of
employees one person will always be negative and during like the time right where it's happening
a couple more employees might be joining in and gossiping but then you know two hours later they'll
come to me and say hey you got to watch this person. You know,
they're super negative, right? So and even in life, like in friendship groups, like people will look
at the complainer, right? And you won't make a lot of friends doing so. And it also damages your
brain, right? If you're trying to be healthy, happy, positive, having this weak mindset and this complaining-like mindset
and this negative mindset, this is wrong, this is wrong,
oh my God, I can't believe this.
Oh, the postman didn't deliver my letter.
Oh, I went to ship something back as a return.
It charged me $20.
Like all of those things is gonna stop you
from focusing on what matters in life,
focusing on your businesses, your finances,
your relationships, okay? So as an employee, it's very important to really work on that resilient
mindset. And as an entrepreneur, hopefully you're starting to see like, hey, this is not going to
get easier. This is going to get harder. The only thing that will allow me to keep going as it gets
harder, like it has for me is a stronger mindset
I'm probably more experienced in connections
And you know we have things happen in our business. We had a big thing a couple of weeks ago and
Even my c-suite that have been in business some of them over 20 years
They were like horrified by this and super shocked by it and they go Rudy. How are you? Okay right now?
even my wife's like how you you okay right now and I'm like I'm like a crocodile or an
alligator where I've grown so much thick skin at this point you know it's like an
inch thick it's just like the slashes don't penetrate anymore after so many
years and that's the point I mean you have to get to to be successful and some
you know I always remind people of this quote it's
like if you get you know some sort of a lawsuit or something right or a
complaint letter or a problem then obviously you want to address why it
happened if you're doing something wrong but outside of that it's like Mark
Zuckerberg Elon Musk all of these people they're probably getting serve lawsuits
every day before breakfast and like if you so you get one a year and it's like 20 grand to settle it. It's like it's nothing.
Right. It's literally nothing. But when the first time you get it, it's like the end of the world.
But you just it's framing your mindset. You know, you spend 20 grand on an agency or on ads and
they don't work out. You move on with your life. Right. It happens. But you get 20 grand, you know,
a lawsuit and it's going to cost 20 grand to settle it, it's like, you freak out for six months, it makes no
sense, that's because your mindset, right, it's because of how you process problems, how you handle
problems, how you receive information, and then process that information, because every time
there's something happens in your life, you can control the outcome, right, you can control how
you process that information
and the emotional and hormonal response to that issue, okay?
So building a strong mindset is one of the best things
you can do, it's like this mental fortitude in your brain
that no one can take away from you.
I can lose all my businesses, I can have employees steal,
employees take clients, start rival businesses,
partnerships steal hundreds of thousands, all of which will happen to you when you get to my level, probably grow over 100
employees and businesses pass eight figures on your way to nine figures. All of these things
are going to happen over time. The thing that will keep you going is that mental fortitude.
And there are some people I know that keep going even when they don't have a strong mindset, but
it eats them up.
They have like you can see these entrepreneurs from a mile away.
They have constant anxiety.
They're constantly stressed.
Right. And I wouldn't say I'm that stressed.
Like I within a day occasionally like have a bad day and get, you know, a little like all those sucky day, stressful day.
But I don't really get that stress even when there's big problems you know like I
just I just laugh them off and get on with it now and I kind of accept it as part of business so
you know this stuff's so important for your own happiness for your relationships with your family
you got kids a spouse if you don't process this stuff correctly and have a strong mindset if you
have a weak mindset it's going to eat you alive and it's also going to ruin your relationship it's going to ruin your family life you're going to i don't lose sleep
over business rarely ever but i used to seven eight nine ten years ago for sure now i don't
lose sleep over even though my problems are 100 times worse now i don't lose any sleep over them
or very rarely maybe a couple of times a year um remember the last time I lost a significant amount of
sleep over something was probably two and a half years ago with a big problem but yeah I don't
since then I've you know constantly working on it now is as you handle employees and handle people
one thing that you have to also understand that I've had to learn over time as a CEO is you will have employees vendors
contractors with a weak mindset okay and what you have to learn to do is to not
be roped into that hostile and negative environment because and this is very
hard to do that was one of the downsides of an office let me tell you because on
zoom I ran you know virtual teams for seven eight years
and then three years ago i went to in office and virtual and there's a lot of pros of in office
right like a great studio like this if you're watching on video having celebrities come in
friends come in visit hosting meetings here hosting events here being able to walk over to
someone or say show me the video instead of them having to render it process it upload it send it you then you know you're going to get on a zoom or shoot
a loom to give them edits right a lot of benefits but one of the biggest problems is being roped
into that negative energy and we actually here as a company if someone comes in with a bad attitude
or negative energy we actually pull them to the side, same day the head of people does,
and head of people and HR in my office pulls them to the side
and basically has a conversation and understands
what's wrong and sends them home,
unless they can work themselves out of it, right?
And obviously if it's like a, you know,
we've had employees with all types of family issues,
so we're obviously respectful and supportive when that happens, but if it's just they you know we've had employees with all types of family issues so we're obviously respectful and supportive when that happens but if it's just they're in a bad you know so they
brought something into work that they shouldn't have they got a parking ticket or they got told
off the yesterday they got a written warning because they posted the wrong thing on social
media or didn't do their end of day report or messed up a project then we tell them hey this
isn't you know in line with our core values You are not taking ownership of this problem. Now you're upset
because you got in trouble for not doing your job. And, you know, now you're making it actually
worse on yourself and impacting the rest of the office. So having, you know, having that separation,
but also maintaining that cultural environment and positivity in your business and not letting
this weak negative mindset come into your company is so so important because most of us whether we
know it or not we're mirrors right and sponges so you know I say that most of us mirror other
people that's why I can have a great employee be pulled into a negative state and I see this when
there's the negative person's bitching because
people like to mirror and we're sponges so we absorb energy so if someone's negative it's just
like if someone's sick everyone gets sick right if someone's negative and comes in more people
are negative and it ruins the environment so having that having that brand standard and those
standards within your company are so important as a CEO
and leader. And then the next step is within your life too, right? So I remove myself from family
events and environments and meetings and events or, you know, networking things. If it's a bunch
of people that have this weak mindset, if all they do is show up and they complain and they tell you how hard everything is and and it's all complaint negative complaint problem problem issue that happened to them victim
mentality quickly remove myself uh because again even if you have this strong fortitude
you are in some ways a sponge right it's like if you're in a healthy fresh air and there's a toxic
you know poison leak that's going to spread into the air and you're going's like if you're in a healthy, fresh air and there's a toxic, you know, poison
leak that's going to spread into the air and you're going to, even if you hold your nose,
you're still going to absorb some of it, okay? Or another way to look at this is if you're a
bodybuilder, super healthy, if you live with, you know, three roommates and they're all eating
donuts and pizza every night, 100% at some point, you're going to go, I'll have a slice of pizza.
Okay, I'll try one of the donuts, right? Even if you've got resilience. And even if you've got resilience,
why make it harder for yourself? So do what you can to separate yourself from people with this
weak negative mindset. Now, if this is someone you know, care about or someone that's just going
through a bad time, I'm not obviously saying cut them off. And you can coach and support them.
But understand that over time, some people won't change. The leopard won't change his spots.
And there are a lot of people like this. And these people aren't successful. They're not people you
want to spend your time with. And you have to create that separation so it doesn't leak to you.
And then the flip side of that is building a surrounding with people with a strong mindset,
right? People that that you know i
remember this story i won't say who it is but a couple of friends that own a company that's done
over nine figures over 100 million revenue and they were telling me the first time they got an
ftc letter they rang one of their mentors and one of their mentors was um a billionaire founder of
like fedex or a big shipping company like that.
And they freaked out.
They're like, I got this letter from the FTC.
What do we do?
And they told me this story, okay?
And his response, the billionaire was like,
oh, that's a bunch of BS.
Here's what you do.
You, you know, crumple it up
and then you throw it in your trash can
and play basketball with it.
He says, I used to get those letters
every day before breakfast.
So, and again, that's not legal advice.
I'm not saying you should do that.
You should probably speak to an attorney.
But again, this is an example of how experience and having mentorship too,
and having the right surroundings and people will support you.
Because, you know, did they probably do that?
No, I'm sure they didn't they probably went to their attorney but that probably put
their mind at ease far more than if they had gone to someone appear a fellow
co-worker someone on their c-suite their wife they said oh my god yes you know
we're screwed the business is gonna shut down and then the wife or husband starts
googling it and it, wow, you can go
to prison for up to 10 years if you breach an FTC or whatever, right? So you see how those two
situations just by being with the right person can drastically change. One side, people with a
weaker mindset would start telling you all the, oh, you could go to prison, they can seize your
assets, they could seize the house, baby, you know, the wife saying that, you know, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And the experienced person that's actually been through
it and has a strong mindset is telling you not to worry. Oh, it's probably just a warning letter,
speak to your attorney. I used to get those all the time and I'd screw them up and play basketball
with them, right? So two different outcomes and two different ways to process it. And while that
second way, again, I'm not saying that's correct, you'd probably go to an attorney, probably during that process of going to the attorney,
doesn't ruin your life for the next four weeks, right? Where you lose sleep, you don't focus on
revenue, you don't focus on business, you don't focus on new initiatives. Because guess what,
if that letter was sent to 5000 companies and means nothing, then you just spent four weeks
of misery, and probably lost a million dollars in
revenue. If you're doing, you know, 50 mil a year, you take a month not focused on your business.
You probably cost the business at least a million in revenue over a stupid letter that was mass
produced and sent to thousands of people. Right. So those two different options, two different
alternatives. And that is the difference between a strong and weak mindset and why you shouldn't have a weak mindset why it can ruin your life and it can start to ruin
your business okay and why you have to do everything to build this strong resilient
mindset and i promise you if you start looking you'll see correlations weak mindset everything
happens to them okay so here's what happens the car breaks down flat tire forget to pay a
parking ticket lose their driving license right or speeding ticket we get
lose their driving license friend cheats on you know friend betrays them right
partner cheats on them all of these things start happening they crash their
car right all of these things start happening the strong person these things
don't happen right they just don't happen and i've learned in life i tell my c-suite this with employees and people be very very
cautious of the person where there's things always going wrong in their life because i guarantee they
are the catalyst they are the reason okay now of course we all get bad luck and i'm not saying we
don't all get bad luck and some people probably get more bad luck than others if you take a hundred people i admit that everyone will have varied levels
of luck but eventually you also are in part creating your own luck because if you're
constantly negative with this weak mindset things are going to go wrong more things are going to go
wrong those things are going to cause ripple effects to cause the next thing to go wrong
right your finances are a mess and now you don't pay your speeding ticket
because you don't have money. Now you lost your driving license. Next thing, you lost your job.
That is all your fault because you don't have money in the first place. You spent it going out
or you got fired from your job because you didn't work hard enough. Now you don't have money. Now
you can't, you know, pay your speeding ticket. Now you lose your car. Now you can't get another job.
Okay, the victim, the weak mindset will say, say all these things went wrong in my life the strong
mindset or someone like me will say no those things aren't wrong because of you because you
did one thing wrong that led to another thing wrong then you didn't fix it then you let it get
worse then you lost your job now you can't get a new job because you don't have a car and you live
in the middle of nowhere that is because of you so understanding that difference and how you can control the outcome here you can control all of these things and why you must work to build
a strong mindset to not only be happier positive right more healthy from a actual cognitive mental
state but also to be a better leader to be a better ceo and of course out of all to be a better
entrepreneur because entrepreneurship is not easy
it's going to get worse it's going to get harder more things are going to hit you but you can get
ahead of those things by working on yourself right working to build that resilient strong mindset
and separating yourself from people with a weak mindset that are negative that pull you down so
