My guest today is Davian Warren, a man who grew up in New Jersey without his father in the picture, while his mother worked hard to give him and his siblings a better life. Despite that, the streets pulled them in young, gang life, juvenile detention, selling drugs, street life was all he knew. He wanted to use it to fund a future in music, but the streets had other plans. He did state time in his late teens, then caught a federal case in his early 20s, and did 84 months in federal prison. When he got out, a shooting almost took his life, and that moment changed everything. I grew up in New Jersey. I'm originally from New Jersey, from East Orange, New Jersey. But I grew up all over,

Newark, East Orange, Irvington. I mean, my mother moved around the lot. I grew up in New Jersey, I'm predominantly, I'm from New Jersey, straight up and down. I don't know nothing else. I moved to Virginia for like a year, but I'm from Jersey. I mean, Norfolk, East Orange, I mean. I don't like when people do all the other, you know, that I'm from all over. We all go to the same jails. We go to the same youth houses.

We deal with the same chicks. It's all the same county. Texas County, Newark, East Orange, Irvington, Orange. Same thing. That's where I'm from. Every playground, every gang is all the same agenda. So don't never let the way try to get it. Get a twist this one from.

How was your childhood? My childhood, to me, it was lit, you know what I'm saying? My childhood to me, for me, it was lit. That's what I thought, at least, you know what I'm saying? My childhood was full of fun events, not I'm saying. Basically, I grew up in the household with, I had a lot of siblings, I'm saying. I got a bunch of siblings, about four or five brothers, I mean,

sisters, two sisters. My childhood, my mom, you know, my mom always held it down, I mean. She like got her little, you know, stamps and stuff like that, work two jobs. I mean, she went hard, I mean, single mom. And she had, she got done when she got done. But you know, with that being said, you know, what I just said, she worked two jobs and collected. So at the end of the day, you can see that that's barely time with all the kids.

So we were like steps dudes though, so we raised each other for real. But you know, we raised each other. Our cousins raised each other. We all was raising each other. We all was from, I mean, I grew up where I grew up at in East Orange, my family predominantly was heavy in the area. So my childhood was like, it was full of like bike ride and stealing cars, robbing. But we thought this was fun.

I mean, like it was grown early, like apartments by 16. And I mean, it was like we thought it was. We thought it was, that was my childhood. Like, it was, you know, I ain't going to my first amusing part to, I was, till I came home from the feds. And that was after three bids, you understand what I'm saying? Because I ain't, like, as a child, it was, you know, it wasn't none of that. I mean, like, we thought it was more so, like, mom and couldn't pay attention to what was going on.

She was doing what she had to do, but we always wanted more, you feel what I'm saying? We always wanted more. Well, me personally, I always wanted more, you know what I'm saying? So I always went outside and I always was a leader every time I went outside. Like my mother moved a lot, so they gave me an advantage. So everywhere we moved, I'd be the same person I am. And people always gravitate to me, you know what I'm saying? I was starting gangs when I was like real kid kid, you feel what I'm saying?

Like from like a kid kid like since I can remember, like first grade with soldier. Like, you know what I mean? Like three or four. grade 5-04, like just growing up, you feel what I'm saying? So, and that was my childhood. I was the child that used to go outside looking for a fight, you feel what I'm saying? Like, stuff like that. Like, I thought it was, I mean, I had cousins, we all was tough.

You feel what I'm saying? It was like, I mean, who could be the toughest? And if you weren't tough, you're going to treat you like you ain't tough, so you ain't had no choice but to be tough, you feel what I'm saying? But that was my childhood. And that turned it to a lot of, came with a lot of heartbreak, a lot of jail time. I mean, a lot of, mistakes and I learned a lot, you know what I'm saying?

And now today, I mean, I look back on it and I still would say to the kids today, like, y'all ain't doing nothing. We was doing it. But yeah, that was my childhood. Why wasn't your father in the picture? Well, he's doing the same thing he's doing now, I'm saying? Right. I mean, he's getting hot, I'm saying?

You know, the drugs, you know what I'm saying? At first I thought he'd just running around because he just wasn't around. That's what we thought. But one day, as a kid, this was when I noticed it. I went to closet in his stuff or whatever, because he had came over for a brief. I mean, we used to see him once in a while, whatever. But he always said he was coming.

He just never came. I mean, he was like that letter that never come with you in the bean. I mean, he was like that. But anyway, the cat, my dad, he, I went in his closet or whatever. And I went through his stuff and I busted open. I was just playing with the umbrella. was it open or all kinds. It's just starting out like, I mean, old vows and strangers all kinds.

So I'm like, ah. So from near, I knew exactly what it was up, you feel what I'm saying? I'm like, oh, no, because out here, cuz out here getting, I mean. And that's always the thing. And I know that's the thing, you feel what I'm saying? Because even as Adele, as time has went on, we had gained a friendship, in a sense, you feel what I'm saying? But so I understand certain things.

down because I've seen him at a time when he wasn't under the influence and he's a whole different person, you know what I'm saying? So yeah, that's why he wasn't around due to the drugs and everything. But it was men around, I mean, straight up and down. My mom was married for most of my life to my little brother dad, you know what I'm saying? But he was a kid himself, you feel what I'm saying? For real, for real. Just finishing a big kid himself, you know what I'm saying?

So Mel Figures was around trying to put some type of authority, you know what I'm saying? but where I'm from, like, where I'm from, like, now, I mean, like, no, you know, your dad would hear your name just like anybody else hear your name, you feel what I'm saying? And at a certain point, it's like, what I'm going to say to him. You feel what I'm saying? And that's just what it is. When you're born into that type of environment, how do you know anything other than that lifestyle at that age?

Honestly, you don't, but it's what you make it. you don't know it's like you come out and all you you know what's going on around you so we started off playing manhunt

I mean this is how I always start we start off playing manhunt you feel what I'm saying and then I turned it to oh it was the stealing cars really opened

the crazy door once we start stealing cars I opened the door because it was like all right now we can get vehicles we're stealing these cars that stealing cars turn into robin.

You feel what I'm saying? Because what's next? We need money for gas, need this. Then we're stealing cars turning to. Stilling cars, turn into something else when you just pulling off and people, it start off, yo, somebody ain't coming. We all running.

And then that turned into why we running. So it's life, you feel what I'm saying? So you just going through the phases and you start learning what's for you and what's not for you to. That's what the decisions you make. What's for you and not for you? You're going to see everything that's there

because it's what your environment presents. But people make the choice of what's for them and not for them. You might start seeing the game, you know what I mean? Seeing people getting money and that might be for you, I mean?

So for me, it was more so me choosing what was for me, and I tried it all. You feel what I'm saying? I tried it all. So growing up like that, it's like you don't know nothing else and if they showed you something else,

you would have wanted someone else. Like me personally, if somebody would have told me my time and what it took me somewhere else, you feel what I'm saying? I went and went the route I went, I mean? But at the end of the day, my time I still did. That's because it'll talk my talk. Why do you think gangs were for you?

It wasn't that day was, it wasn't that gangs was for me with the gangs. It was like my whole family gang bang, you know what I'm saying? My whole family gang bang, like all of them, all of them. And so growing up, it was like we was, We was like creating, you feel what I'm saying? But with the gang things, it was like your hood was a gang. Where you from was turned out by a gang at that time. You feel what I'm saying?

Now my cousins and them were black, I was like they was one gang, I mean, but I ain't wanna be that, you feel what I'm saying? You already, my older cousins, y'all got some type of authority already over me. I never liked authority. I'm gonna go somewhere else where I could just do my thing and let me shine like a butterfly. I'm saying? So the block that I like when my friends was at was something else, you feel what I'm saying?

No matter what, you was accused of that, especially when you started that. I noticed it. I started going to youth houses, juvenile detention centers and stuff. You start noticing it. Even going to school, you notice it. You start noticing at the early age. You're going to get blamed for your block. Like, yeah, I go to school, there's plenty of times.

Where you're from? Oh, I'm from, I'm from, I'm from, I'm from Walnut, Lenox. I'm saying. Oh, you want to you, I mean, oh, you, you, you, they think, they used to back then, they, oh, you're a Brad, you feel what I'm saying? Like, no matter if you was or you wasn't, that's what you was, you feel what I'm saying, because that's where you was from and that's how you started treating other people. So a lot of people start joining games where I'm from in my era because that's where they

was. Like, if you wasn't or you was guilty by association, you're going to get treated like it, it ain't no difference, you feel what I'm saying? And what are you going to let people go and dishing your friends? Because if they dissing, they dissing your friends you will. it every day. So at the end of the day, you ain't really doing nothing but putting a name on your friendship. Well, at one point I was starting my own gangs before I joined the real gang, you know what I'm saying? I had this one street gang called SSG, you know what I'm saying? Because East Orange, East Orange was always north side, south side. And they had like a north side gang, they had a down the hell gang. They had a door type of thing I mean, but South ain't had nothing.

It was always separated. You had Amherst, you had Lennox, you had Horstead, you had Elwood Park. Everything was different, you know what I did when I was young, I'm like, yo, I can, I deal with everybody over here on this side of town, the people that's banging red, the people that's banging blue. So at a young age, I was like, yo, I'm going to bring everybody in. We're going to be south side. We're going to be straight south side.

I'm going to make everybody be together. And I started getting people from different blocks all around the south side from different gangs, you feel what I'm saying? So I knew unity, you feel what I'm saying, and building a brotherhood, you feel what I'm saying? So by time I joined, and I mean, I created that, we disciplined each other and anything like that. So I knew unity and togetherness. It was always a thing for me, you feel what I'm saying? So joining my gang gang, you feel what I'm saying?

It was like, that's what it is. I understood the assignment, you feel what I'm saying? And I understood the assignment at first, you feel what I'm saying? That's how I felt. Like, yo, this is what it is. This is the family. There's certain rules you just don't break. Other than that, you're just a man.

You're doing what you do. It ain't going. You should never let it change your life, you feel what I'm saying? So you should live by just the rules and keep it moving at that. You feel what I'm saying? Like live by the rules and keep it moving. Don't let it deter who you are as a man. You still got to be a man.

You still got to step, how you step. You still got to carry yourself with respect. You still got to carry yourself a certain way. But it's just certain things that you don't do that other people will do. Now I mean? So in the beginning, it was like, this is just that. You feel what I'm saying? I didn't look at it like it's a change in my life.

Like, oh, I'm in the gang. I mean I'm different from this person. You feel what I'm saying? Like I don't wear, I never wore it like that, now I mean? But it just come with so much, but I always carried it with that type of respect.

I'm not going to let nobody disrespect it. I want it to be the biggest thing. Now I mean? And that's that. Why do you think you were after that feeling of unity? Do you think you lack that at home? Nah, I got brothers. It's just my friends.

You know what it is with me? With my friends, this is why now as an adult, I choose my friends wisely. I take on people's problems more than them, you feel what I'm saying? And that's what it really became, you feel what I'm saying? With my friends, when I joined something, it was like, it wasn't like, it was my block. These my friends I'm with every day, we're going to scream the same clip. It's just when I get into something, I'm all in. You feel what I'm saying?

And I ain't going to take nothing else, you feel what I'm saying? We're going to do this like this. We're going to step how we step. And that's it. You feel what I'm saying? And that's just how I am. So the unity part, I ain't lack unity at home because in the streets, it really ain't no unity.

You forcing the unity. I ain't got to teach my brothers in them that. We already know that. Ain't no back doing. You feel what I'm saying? So you basically beating something into some people. You feel what I'm saying? Like that's the best way I can explain that for real.

You know what I mean? Um, yeah, man. Like people are disloat. you, man, that's what you end up learning in the end. Like, I'd have been told on by so-called homies that, you know what I mean? Like, I didn't seen the most wicked stuff. Like, they don't do nothing for you when you were in jail. They ain't doing that.

There's a couple cats, you might not mean, but that's just out of people just being real people. But, I mean, no. I'm saying. I mean, you is what you is. And once it's in you is in you, like, I'm one of the people like, what's in you is in you, you feel what I'm saying? It ain't got nothing to do with nobody else into. I don't care about with nobody else into at this point.

At one point, I was like, yeah, yeah, yeah, but no, you feel what I'm saying? Like it's so much disloyalty. It ain't really no, I mean, it's so much disloyalty, man. You just think a bunch of people are into something that they ain't, you feel what I'm saying? You think everybody on the same thing. You think everybody on that, and they're not. They're not.

And it's going to hurt you in the end. Like, and I learned the hard way. I didn't did bid after bid, at the bed, at the bed. Bid at the bid. I remember I was locked up for some junk. I remember I was weaved up as an adult. At 16, with home invasion. At 16, crazy office on the table.

I'm waved up in the county as an adult. I run into one of the cats, an adult. He found me somehow. Oh, I know how he found me. His chump's off was in PC, you know what I'm saying? That's how he found me because I was on the juvenile tear. He found me, and he come to the door. And the first thing this cat's saying to me is,

yo, because it's supposed to be some other people who wanted kids, whatever, but if nobody else was on the case with me, it's just me. You feel what I'm saying? He's going to come to the door and say, I'm waved up as a door. I ain't even into the youth house no more. I'm fighting the case.

He's going to come to the door and say, yo, you ain't going to say nothing, right? Like, the disrespect. I ain't going to say nothing. I'm going to raise like that, but like, ain't not one of you older niggas doing nothing for me. I'm sitting here in the county. Like, as a drool, nigg.

You understand what I'm saying? Like, it's like, so I start seeing that early. Like, like, Leo, it's, it ain't your friends. And then I come home and I be around cast again. I mean, but it's always been a kind of person. I don't hang with people. People hang with me. We was together for a while.

We was together for a while, too. And we was together for a while, too, straight up and down. That's just how I am. And I mean, but at the end of the day, it's like, I go back and forth. Like, I went back and forth, like, back and forth. Was that the first time you ever got arrested at 16? No.

I was doing, like, juvenile stuff before that. Like, at that time, I was on a run. That's what made it bad for me. I was getting little regular juvenile charges. I think my first time getting locked up. Yo, the bad thing is, I've been locked up so many times. I'm trying to sit here and think about the first time. The first time was either in a stolen car

or the time when I got caught with the food. I posted been in school. I think that was the first time. I posted a bit in school. And I'm running around with the dog food and the rice back in the day. I mean, it's in a bag of rice. But me, I got a couple bundles in a big old bag of rice, though, in my Army Fatigue top pocket.

And I posed to be in school. And we just walking regular. We know it's school hours. We're supposed to be walking in the cut. But nah, we got truancy in Jersey. I don't know if you're got, I mean. But so police, you know, police gonna be on you. So you're supposed to be walking in the cuts or whatever, not just like

right in the open. We just walking down the block, willy-nilly, sun out, uh-da-da. Because we're trying to catch some plays. And the police pulled right up on me. He said, hey, he said, hey, what's, what's up? Why y'all ain't in school this Saturday through? So I'm like, nah, we're going to the store or whatever. And so you're like, yeah? Hey, come here, come a little closer. So I got closer. When I got closer, He jumped out. He said, he said, what's that? He inside pot. I'm like, what?

I looked down. That would be it's the pack. I'm like, dang, nothing. He was like, what is it? I pulled it out. I'm like, no, this is just a rice. He might have got a bowl of prices. He went to grab it.

He knew what it was. Man, I tried to smack it up and run, now I'm saying. He grabbed me, whatever, now I mean. He locked me up, you know what I'm saying? That was the first time. I only think I went to the U-Files that time I did, and they let me go from the precinct. It's just two weeks later,

I ended up getting locked up for a stolen car, and then I ended up going to the U-Files. I mean, that was the first time. That county bid, I was 16, right? This is the crazy part about that. I went to the county before I ever seen Jamesburg. I was in the county and ended up beating that case

and didn't end up going to Jamesburg for a case I was on a run from. So I seen the adult system before I seen the juvenile prison system. So now that home invasion, did you do that? Or you were just jammed up for it? No, man, I got jammed up. The crazy thing is it was the way they jammed me up.

The system is filed. I could have really got a lawsuit back then. But I was too dumb and young and dumb and ignorant to know what was going on. What happened was I'm walking down the street, me and my man, and police just pull up on us. I ain't dirty at nothing. Usually I run from cops.

So I'm like, I ain't running. But I'm on the run, and I know I'm about to just shoot an L. I'm just doing it. I'm just doing that. Boom. They grab us. Immediately throw us in the car. I'm like, yo, what the hell?

What's going on? They're like, oh, you about to see. You about to see. We're walking across the bridge. We're in my hood. He pulled back down the street. He made my man jump out the car and look at the tree. Across the street from the building.

that I was living in. Made them look at the tree, and then you hear on a walkie-talking, confirmed, cuffed him, threw him in the car. Made me do it, same thing.

Confirmed, throwing me in the car. Now, we're in the precinct, right? All I hear is gumps, straight gumps. At this time, then they're not wrong with him. I end up meeting one of them.

He turned out to be cool as hell. We did stay time. Rest and peace to him, too. He ended up passing away. I just heard about that. But anyway, these cats was in there wilding. Oh, these people did this, that, and third.

I'm like, all right, whatever. I ain't do nothing. So I'm like, they might have to let me go. Police coming in room to room. My room, my man room. They're trying to beat us up. I'm like, yeah, we know y'all did this robbery, this, that, and third. I don't know what they talk about.

I know I ain't do no robbery, period. They're going crazy. I'm like, whatever. They take me to the U.Files, me and my man. They get us to the U.Files. They start talking about. waving us up as adults. I can't believe none of this.

I'm like, yo, what the hell? This can't be true. They try to wave us up as adults. They end up letting him go. They end up letting him go. Didn't wave him up as an adult. Wave me up as an adult. Mind you, we got locked up together for so-called home evasion.

Wave me up as adult. Give me the home invasion, all the robberies. Da-da-da-da-da-da. I charge him with that thing. Mind you, this made it out the juvenile system to the adult system. I'm in the county. I'm telling my lawyer. you're like, yo, they're trying to force me to travel,

offer me time. My mother, first visit, first thing she said to me, my mother can't visit. That's why I respect my mom. She ain't never been no street person. But the first thing she said when she can't envision, like, yo, I don't know what's going on or what's not going on. But they say it's supposed to bring you and for other people. You made your bed. You don't bring nobody to bed with you. That was the first visit from my mom in that county. You feel what I'm saying?

So that's why I don't respect when people do certain things, you know what I'm saying? But all, at the end of the the day uh yeah so long story short we in there um i'm telling my lawyer i'm reading the paperwork i used to pray pray pray i ain't understand how i was going to get out of that to be honest i'm like yo they got me people they got 11 witnesses all kind of stuff whatever they're saying it's me i'm reading the paperwork right you know what i see in the paperwork they say on the day of the incident police came to the scene and asked what happened

asked, they say, yeah, if somebody came in and robbed their party, robbed home invaded their party or whatever, and took all their money and jury and stuff. And the police asked them how people looked, how the guys looked. And all of them gave statements saying they didn't know how nobody looked, everybody had on mask. Mind you, the day they locked me and my man up, they confirmed their identities, saying that it was us.

Now, in the paperwork, clearly on the day it happened, y'all said, you already know how nobody looked, everybody had our mask. How the next day can you see us walking down the street and say, you know me from my walk, and identify us? You could never give a positive idea

if you said at the beginning, you don't know how nobody looked. So from that, once I start pointing that out, they end up, one day they just came across my intercom while I was in the room. It was like, Warren, pack it up for state. And I'm like, what the hell? I can go to no state prison.

I mean, I ain't even guilty yet. Come to find out, they were sending me to Jamesburg for a juvenile case I was on a run from that I had got 18 months for. I get down J-Rack, the juvenile prison system or whatever. I'm like, whoa, I'm feeling good. I'm out of this adult system. That juvenile tear was crazy, you feel what I'm saying?

So I get down there, and I ask my counselor, I'm like, yo, what's up with my adult case? He was like, oh, nah. They didn't turn that into a no bill. Like, wow. So the whole thing is, how did that case make it from the juvenile system to the adult system? You feel what I'm saying? I went through a lot during that time.

You feel what I'm saying? I didn't got junk, got brain, damn, all the type of stuff. And you just played with me like that to just throw it out. Like, so somebody was in the wrong. I know at this point, at this grown age, I know I could have counted to the East Doran Police Department. You was never supposed to charge me with that to begin with. And then they made it to the juvenile system. And then to make it to the adult system, who was paying attention to this paperwork?

You feel what I'm saying? Why did you get jumped? Gang banging. In the jail. Yeah, gang banging. I went and took my tail and he's in a bullpen and, um, cat tried to say some things. And I responded my way, throwing it up. And they whipped me out, and I'm saying.

I got whooped out, you know what I'm saying? Gang banging, man. That's just what it is. It was cool, you know what I'm saying? It never happened again, you know what I'm saying? But, yeah, that was as a juvenile album. What kind of gangs are these? Are these just, like, the block gangs or these, like, official national-type gangs?

No, I'm a real gang-banger. I'm Hoover. I'm a real gang-banger. This is worldwide, you know what I mean? Westside Hoover. Westside Hoover? Yeah, Hoover Street, California. Okay. Is that, like, a set of something?

Yeah, it's seven-pour Hoover. Okay. Yeah. Like Larry? No. No, I'm not a guy guy. Larry Hoover more like gangster disciple. Okay.

You know what I'm saying? We got some other guys, I'm saying? But yeah. And who's your guy's number one enemy in Jersey at that time? In Jersey at that time? For my block? Whoever it was, yeah. For my block, we used to go at it with like, whatever was around us.

Like, we surrounded by all, like, like, Like this way is double I, so we'd go out of it with them, this way. We have the Sean who's up here. We ain't really go out of it with them, G. Sean. But it's crazy because my block really went out of heavy with my own cousin's block, and they all paro. Now, in the jails, they don't separate you guys? At first in jail, we used to get separated.

The bloods from the crips. They used to separate us as juveniles, as adults, too. They used to separate us. Now they don't know more. I remember when they first start, not separate. Like, it used to be separated. It was a lot of jails you couldn't even go to. When I was in June, like, when I went to adult state prison, it wasn't separated.

Like, you couldn't be, everything wasn't everything. You feel what I'm saying? Bloods and crips weren't mixing. Like, you couldn't go to certain jails. If you went to certain jails and you was cripped, you had to kick up. The Dammuz had the system. You feel what I'm saying? At the time when I was downstate, if you was crib,

You went to Borton Town, you had to kick up. You went to the Yardville, you had to kick up. You feel what I'm saying? You went to Endale? You was cool, you know what I'm saying? You went to riverfront you was cool. You went to maybe southern state you was cool. You know what I'm saying?

But certain spots, you would have had to crash out. You feel what I'm saying? It wasn't no you just walk in a yard, Bayside, and all that. I mean, it wasn't no. You just walking a yard being cripped. It was hard for you, you know. what I'm saying, but it was good for certain people. It was good for me, you know what I'm saying?

My family blood, and I'm going to go off regardless. I'm going to kick up. So at the end of the day, I ain't worry about it, I mean, but yet, they used to not mix us, I mean, and when you mixed, it was a crash. But now it's mixed, I heard. I mean, when the first time I met somebody, he was telling me it was mixed, he was like, yeah, I'm down boy in town. And I'm like, what?

At this time, I was in the county on the feed case. And I was mixed. I was on the fed pot. I had just left the cryptos, went to the fed, Fair Ted. And they moved me off the Cryptids to the FITTA. And I'm like, oh, it was still some Crips over there that was trying to get walked to medical. Because in the county, you could walk the medical by yourself. So when you're in the cryptic, the C-T, the C-O's to try to walk you to go to medical. So then, when you're fighting in the building, allegedly, whatever. So in the

Fad-Tead, you can walk by yourself. So certain Crip niggins was ending up on the FidTardtead. And I remember the first time I seen one of the homies try to get a walk. Like to the, I'm like, I'm like, nah, nah, no, you're in the fantasy. You can walk over there by yourself. You need no assistance? I'm walking medical, don't mean? But yeah, so I watched, so the first time a cat came in, he was like, you little young cat came up from downstate.

And he's like, yeah, I'm down boy, oh, you're born town, do, do, do, he's talking. I'm like, boy, oh, you must them too? He's like, yeah. I'm like, oh, you ain't banging down there, though. He's like, I am. I'm like, nah, you're hot under their rug or whatever, now what I'm saying?

He's like, no, it's mixed now. I'm like, oh, when they started doing that? Because when I was downstate, nah, if you were going to board in town, I'm about pop the cap. I mean, he told me it was Brad Cemetery. You gotta crash out. You couldn't, you couldn't go to those spots.

It's mixed now, I mean, I like it. I mean, I always was cool with everybody. I mean, I wanted them cats. I ain't never had no person who be, you know what I'm saying? I'm cool with that, I'm my whole family, bud. I mean, so it ain't never changed who I am, you feel what I'm cool with everybody. You guys would not believe the DMs I get. I mean, I felt in love with the money.

I was selling drugs. Ninth grade was lit. Life grade turned it to a fest. This is what they did. This is how they did it. This is the crazy thing they did. They put the high school, when they started, East Orange had started something for ninth gradeers,

This is our one little square They put the school right on the block Between the North and the South That's the best thing they could have did So what we used to do We used to meet up before school, get high as hell, drunk as hell. Going to school around about 9 o'clock. Ninth grade was too lit.

If we go to school about 9 o'clock, we'd go inside just really to let the high come down. Wait for lunch, get that good old pizza. By the pizza, they used to stay, they had pizza in there, fruit Toby or sodas, whatever. Get the pizza. We went right back out to school. And then it turned it to we making plays from in school. Got phone, people hearing them. Yo, I'm coming right outside of school.

That's where it messed up at. When they put the ninth grade right there on the block, it was like, why go right here? You just stay right here on the block, you feel what I'm saying? And yeah, but the thing was, I always wanted to make my mother proud about finishing school. So I always paid attention to school. It's so deep that I ended up in the youth house in 2007,

and that would have been the year I posted graduated. So what I did was they wanted me to go to school in the youth fellas and I told Tom Tom, I'm like, man, I ain't going to school. You're going to get locked down. And I'm like, let me go to work in the kitchen. He's like, you need your diploma to work in the kitchen. I'm like, I ain't going to school.

He's like, well, look, the GED coming up. It was like a week away. And he was like, yeah, you could take it. And if you pass it, you ain't got to go to school. I mean? If you don't, though, I mean, you got to go to school. to remind you, I dropped out in the ninth grade, but I always was advanced.

Man, I took that GED even, no practice, no nothing. And it was 13 of us that took it. It was only two people that passed. Me and the own grape home girl, sexy G, Vanessa, where it was the only two that passed. Word born. Did you have a plan for after high school if you were to finish high school and go on?

Was college ever an option? Did you have a career in mind? No. I fell in love with the streets. My mind was made up. I'm going, I'm going, I'm going, I'm going run the bag up, I'm a rap. My goal was music, you know what I mean? I was always in the music, but I always felt like I needed the streets to fund the music.

You feel what I'm saying? Why was that? Because it costs money to record. It costs money to do anything you need to do with the music. Oh, of course, but why the streets, you know? Because that was all I knew. See, I started off selling water. What's water?

Water, like literally bottles of water. I always was a hustler. You know what I'm saying? Before I sold drugs, I sold bottles of water. Nah, for real. My family was always, I told you, we got a struggling, we were always, we come from the struggle, but we make it work. And I collected food stamps one year. I was young and my brothers.

Nobody knew my plan. I got a food stamp card from my mother. They used to always give us a certain amount of money in food stamps. So this money, I'm like, I'm going to do something different. I got the car from my aunt, my mother, and my other aunt. I took all three of them cars, and I went to brought mad waters. We got them waters. I told my brothers the plan, you know what I'm saying?

We took them waters. We were young boys. Put them with my people, my friends, they was already trapping, like hustling packs for people. I see a different way to get money. Man, we got them waters. My hood is right on a freeway. Like, it's a freeway right there. Man, we took them waters out there.

We sold them water so fast. I'm like, damn, we could do this again and again and again. And we made that to hustle. You know what I'm saying? And then what happened was one of my people's, he owes somebody some bread. Oh, man. He got chipped up over it.

And I mean, I wasn't feeling it when I saw him. And I told him I helped him to help to pay. I mean, do I help them pay his little debt? And then I'm like, what you was doing. And he told me, I'm like, I probably can do that.

And I seen a guy, got some stuff, and it was off to the races from there, now I'm saying. I started seeing that, seeing it come in, it was so good.

I'm like, yeah, this is what it is. And that was it for me. I fell in love with the money. I was the one with the biggest coat on the block. I got the biggest coat

because I know I'm going to stay out here all day. You know, everybody else could be cool, going inside, I'm going to be right here. I'm saying? Yeah. So that's why it was the streets. Nobody tried to show us nothing else.

You know what I'm saying? Nobody, be honest. Like my whole family, that's what we was doing. But we all thought it was right. I mean, we all raising each other for real. Majority of the parents was on, I mean, you know, the drugs, you know what I'm saying? That's just real.

Like, that's just what it is. Majority of the parents are, like, all my cousins and all my aunts and uncles and all Like, like, I mean. My mother ain't ever indulged, but everybody else. I told you what my dad doing. My dad probably on Brookdale right now. I mean, I pull up on him right now. He's like, don't hit me, you know what I'm saying?

Where'd you go after the state when you beat that first case? No, when I finished that case, I went to Jamesburg. I went down Jamesburg. I went down Jayrock. Then I went to Jamesburg. I came home from that, caught another case. with these cats, I end up taking the wait for the case. Yo, my luck be messed up.

I came home for a year. I never made it home for more than a year until now. I came home from that case January 2007. January 2008, wait, wait, wait, I came home from that case. January 2007, I was locked up again by like March for a gun. Downtown Newark. locked up for a gun. I used my brother name.

He ain't never had an adult case before. I used his name, social, scratch my fingerprints, all, everything. To the point, it got so bad that his first time ever been in something as an adult, he went in the county, and they was like, you ever been him before? And he said, no. And the CO was ready to torture him. You was here before you lying.

You were in the system. But that's because I used his name. I was on juvenile parole. I caught a gun charge. I'm like, man, I'm not going back down. I just came home. So I used all his stuff. Went to county.

Quarantined and everything. I belt out. Literally. Belt out the county. I went home and went right back to parole like it was normal. My braw me was like, yeah. I heard something about a warrant getting locked up down here downtown. The other day this thing and through.

I'm like, now, it wasn't me? But wouldn't the fingerprints match? Bro. I'm telling you what I did. This is hardcore facts. I used my brother He never been locked up before This is my first time

Being charged as a adult Well being locked up as an adult Literally locked up as a adult Mind you I already did my juvenile thing Whatever that got no bill It worked I sat in that precinct with a lighter I don't know if it meant anything

I sat in that precinct with You know the old crackhead lighters I broke that lighter And I sat there scratching my finger prints The whole time Now rather than them prints came out good or not I don't know But I know for a fact

I knew his social and everything off the top of my head. And I used it. I used his name and social everything. And to this day, he'd be having to prove that that's not him on his record. Do you guys look alike? Yeah, that's my Irish twin. We only nine months apart.

But it wasn't about to look. It's about how that's how bad the system is. That's what it's about. Like, I guess he's one of my aliases now. It comes up sometimes. It's one of my aliases. So he was never able to get that reversed? He got it off his record, but it still comes up.

Like, he didn't, he had to, he, he, like, what he say? And so many times he'd been locked up, like, yeah, they keep trying to talk about, and I keep telling him that wasn't me, you know what I'm saying? But it wasn't him. But it was a whole gun case. Guess what? Years later, the gun case came back on me.

It came back on me, but, yeah, this came back on me. It came back on me before I went to the Feds. That's when they came back on me. They called me all the way back to court in the juvenile system, Washington Street and Newark, call me upstairs for court, and they tried to get, they tried to ask,

was it going to get brung up to a doe? Or are they going, I mean, was it going, like what they was going to do with the gun charge? Like, was it going to go back to the juvenile system, this down to third, whatever, and they just thought it out. Then they were getting rid of it. Do you feel bad that you used this information?

Hell no. I was on juvenile Peru. I wasn't going back down. Not right there that fast. It was too fast. I ain't even get to do much yet, now what I'm saying? So I used this, John.

And I finished my parole. I completed that juvenile parole. But then I went right back to jail. Right after I finished parole. I told you, I came on January 2007. I got locked right back up January 2008. For what? A gun and some drugs.

Now, let me tell you my luck. I got locked up January 15th. January 15th or 17th, 2008. And the Graves Act came out, 2008. The Graves Act in New Jersey. It came out. 2008, the Grays Act came out. January 2008, the Grays Act came out.

The Grays Act came out two days before I got locked up. So if I got locked on January 15th, the Grady Act came out January 13. I'm telling you, it went just like that. 2008, the Grays Act dropped. The Grays Act was when they start saying, if the gun was with the drugs, this, that, and the third, it's more time. You got to do time. I ain't know this.

So we caught the case. It was, we ride in the car, we caught the case. My man tucked the gun under the seat. Nobody wanted to take the charge. These niggas in the precinct crying. I thought these nigs were tough. You mean? I mean, I mean, whatever.

This niggas is soft as hell. Whatever. So, um, nobody want to take the charge, you know what? You had it. Like, you're tucking it like, I mean, whatever.

I'm like, you know what? It's my first case. I'm going to take the charge. They're going to just throw it out. Everybody in the county. You know, jailhouse lawyers. You're your first charge. I'm like, yeah, I'm going to be the one to take it.

I do the al-davit. I mean, yeah, I got it, y'all. Yeah, I got it, y'all. I think good. But at this time, I found out one of the dudes that's on the case with me telling that I thought was somebody, come to find out he's a rat and I called him about it. He's like, oh, I'm out here.

At this case, it was when I found out the streets was wicked. So I take the case and I go to court. This is a crazy thing. Judge named St. John, he started doing appeals. He's doing something else now. He turned out to be a reference for me as an adult because he felt that bad. He's like, yo, I took the case. He's like, yeah, da-da-da.

They're going to just, everybody thinking I'm going to just get like probation or something. Man, I get the court. That man, like, yo, man, I have to send you to prison. He's like, I don't want to send you to prison. This is your first charge. One gun and one gram. They found one gram in my cool pocket.

And they said, yo, one gun and one gram. 1.5 He said, I have to send you to prison just so happened. The Graves Act is a mandatory prison sentence. So 3.3. 3.3. 36 months. First time locked up as an adult, my first real adult

case, straight downstate. So as a juvenile, I went through a wave-up before I made it to Jamesburg. As-ed-eddle, my first trip, downstate. I ain't never do no like, you know what they got, like, in Jersey. they got like basically like Delaney Hall

is either the county or like the low spot Delaney Hall this thing and even the juvenile system you can go to a program before you go to January I ain't never get

no easy routes like that there weren't no programs for me I've never seen no Delaney Hall I mean straight to prison came home from that

three years for a year straight to the feds what was that three years like there that state three years and what you're in your early 20s yeah I was 18

18 for Fresh 18, 2008. I ain't gonna lie. That three years kind of helped shape my life. They kind of helped shape some of my, some of my, who I am today. That three years was,

I did a T.C. program. What's that? Therapeutic community. I did an inpatient one down in the camp. That bid was, it was, it was fun. It was action. I mean, it started off, it started off kind of bumpy.

I was on meds. I let him get me with the psych meds. And that was causing confusion for me, let me, because I'm sleeping when I'm not supposed to be sleeping. I'm just letting certain stuff happen that I normally won't let happen to people. I mean, whatever. Once I figured that up, part of it out, I got off the meds. I had to fight to get off the meds. They was trying to send me to RTAU, like the psych unit in another jail.

I fought to get off the meds. I came off the meds and then the bed got sweet. I just drink coffee and rap my whole bid. I ain't gonna lie, my jail biz, rap get me a long way. Like, rap and just being a cool dude. Like, my state bid was all rap. All I did was rap, you know what I'm saying? Like, I was down there.

Um, yeah, everywhere I went out of rap, but like, yeah, Like, yeah, I was down there. Pac-Man came down there for two surf came down there for a while. You know what I'm saying? The battle rapper. He came down there, my man, shark. It's a lot of us, I mean, but all I did was rap. Like, I rap.

I get into, like, the gang stuff or whatever fight. I mean, lift weights, this, and stuff. I ain't had to beat too many people up. I smacked a couple cats or whatever. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, I rap, bro. Like, I ain't going to hold you. My bids.

My bid, my state. I just rapped. I used to hit the yard. Battle rap. Battle rap. Battle rap. I'm beating on my chest. I'm battle rap. C.O. is paying me to rap. Counselors paying me to rap. I mean, I've rapped. I mean, that's what... That was my state bid. My state bid, I learned how to battle rap.

Like, straight up, that's what I did. I ain't really... I ain't going... I've seen people get beat up, seeing a lot of stuff, but... The state was sweet for me. Like, I crashed down. a lot. I mean, I got into it. I started off in Annandale, ended up down Yardville, crashed out down there, Bortontown crashed out down there, ended up back in Annandale. What do you mean by crashed out? I couldn't live in Yardville's, for my Bonkey.

You know, it was blood territory at that time. And Bortentown, I couldn't live down there. So I popped the cat and D shop. And I went back to the town. went back to Anadale. I know if I pop you, I'm separate. I got to keep separate here. I don't got to stay here. You feel what I'm saying? I go back to Anadale. You can go anywhere you want. You go to whatever you want. At this time, if you was anywhere from 18 to 21, you only could go to them three jails. Annandale, Boyntown, Yardville. So I kept ended up back in Annadale. Finally, when I finished my bid at Annadale, but I was on no double bunk, I couldn't have a cellie and whatever. I couldn't be in the dorm. That's what I was on, no dorm. I couldn't be in the

dorm. By the end of my bid, I had too much influence to even work on the compound. I had to clean the unit. I was in cottage sand. It was at that point, you feel what I'm saying? Now, were you trying to turn your life around in there? Nah. I ain't going to hold you. I just was rapping. I'm like, I'm going to go home and rap. I ain't never, it's like, yo, I'm going to go get a truck and do this and do that. Nah, if I had the means to do it, like at this point in life, I don't have had two trucks, food, trucks, all kind of stuff, you feel what I'm saying? But I never was now.

When I was down state, I'm like, y'all, I'm going to go home, get money, and I came home to be honest, when I came home from downstate, I came home with a vision of getting money and fixing my gang, making sure my gang was together. Herborn. And that's what I came home and did. You know what I'm saying? That was it, I mean, from that state bid. And I crossed out, went right back to the feds.

How'd that happen? catch a Fed case. Yeah. How I catch my Fed case. Yeah. All right. I'm going to tell you. So you won't just give it to you.

I caught my Fed case. One of the cats I was in the car with when I caught my state case, I told you I found out he was telling. During that state case. When I was doing time for the state case, I wrested on the paperwork that made me know he was telling. Whatever. So when I came home from downstate.

I mean, I exposed that he was telling, whatever. And he went out the way, but anyway, this cat, he, it was a cat from another block that was around us and asked us about the fool. And I told him straight up, oh, that fool don't be around him or more, he told, I'm saying, straight up and down. And this cat from another area, and he's more in tune with this guy than us. So he goes to him and say, Oh, they said you're gonna be around

because you told this, then and the third. Mind, he knew. He told. I didn't told him to his face. He told. I know he told. You feel what I'm saying? This ain't nothing new.

But now he's trying to save face for this other cat because this guy's run his edge. So he calls my phone and he like, yo, what's something to tell him? I'm like, yeah, you told. He's, I thought we handled that. I said, there's no way to handle to tell him.

But, I mean, that way. We ain't going to get into all that because the relationship is whatever. So he jump out there and he say, F you, SMD, suck my dick. I'm from New York, New Jersey. Every time it's three words, I don't like it. SMD, suck my dick. And I ain't paying.

We ain't going to do them. We're not going to do it either. We're not doing that. So I immediately, I was getting my brakes change. at the time. I immediately, I'm like, yo, put my brakes back on. Like, put my tires back on. Like, I don't even need them change. I'm going to the hood, you know what I'm saying? So I go over there. And, um, yeah, this, this is already documented. I go over there, this cat come, he started talking, he comes off the porch. And I'm like, yo, we in the hood. I'm like, yo, bro, like, I'm like,

bro, like, I'm like, bro, like, what's up? Like, I'm trying to box, you feel what I'm saying? Like, all that. Oh, I thought we're in the niggas come home from jail and want to fight this and think they big and want to fight that that niggie ain't doing that. I'm going to story short. And he told him, oh, I could have had you just done through it. But he don't want to come off the porch and fight. I mean, at this time, I'm turned up. I'm getting money.

I'm at the top of my prom. I'm pushing. You feel? I'm 20 years old. I just can't open down stage. I mean, I'm ready for whatever. I mean, so long story, short, we get into this. He exchanged some fire, you know what I'm saying?

And then a girl driving, I'm like, just keep driving. So she gets on Central Avenue in front of Boston Market, but right across you from Boston Market. So I look to the left, police on Clinton. I look to the right, they're on that side of Clinton. I look in the mirror.

There's two of them behind this. I look forward. There's one at the light right there. I'm like, I look at her. I'm like, yo, when the light turn green, hit the gas,

turn the corner, and just let me out. And that light turned green, that block led up like a Christmas tree. Man, that girl threw that car and parked. She threw that car and park. Whatever. I'm looking at her,

And then you had all these drugs and all these guns I'm not bonded by this plea. So I'm not satisfied with 60 months because I don't know whether you were selling drugs

or selling guns. And I'm going up. So she went up on the time, but she went down on the papers. So she gave me, I was supposed to get five years, I supposed to got 60 months, I got out of 60 months, and that would have came with 60 months papers, but she gave me 84 months fed and, um, Two years papers.

But that 84-month Fed was like a college bid. That was the college bid. That was a college bid. Where'd they send you? Canaan McCain and four dicks. All lows, the Canaan and McKean? No, canada is a USP. I ain't belong there, though.

My points was messed up. My points are messed up. The system is just messed up. They sent me there originally to be housed there. My points was all chopped and screw. 2017 they raided the east side the feds they had undercovers there oh i heard about that yeah that was crazy they had like the et fdea everyone there i heard about that i heard about that i heard about that when i was dead i ain't like man fort dicks was lit the east You were on the east side. The east side was a movie. That was wild. The east side had nothing on the way. I mean, the west side had nothing on the east side.

Because I was on the west side for a minute. And then the race ride popped off. A little fake-ass race ride popped off. And, oh, 57, 57, 51, 51, 52, whatever one across the street from Ardap. Yes. It pop off. They sent us to the, they sent me to the east side. Man, I got to the east side.

That's when I said what Fort Dix really was. I'm talking my first day on the east side, right? This is how I start listening in the future. My first day on the east side, you know, I rap. This was, it wasn't like, it was the sweetest part of the bed. I ain't going to hold you.

And I got down for Dixon, I just, man, I used to, I start partying. Man, I used to have the speaker box open the, speak out the open a box, I'm upstairs, freestyling on the third floor. I only wanted to be on the third floor. That's how rack sock me. He kept coming to the third floor, and I'm like, yo, stop coming to the third floor. Like, you can't be up here. There's too much going on up here.

And I guess this homie's gasped him. And he came back up there. I'm like, yo, cuss, then I say stop coming up here. He's like, man. and punched me right on my chin. If he had some power, he probably would have knocked me out. Man, I ate that jaw on him, man. I got the whipping on him there.

I drug him up and down the hall. And the whole time I kept saying, you thought you could pop a real nigga? You thought you could pop a real nigga? You thought you was going to win? The next day, that's all you heard on the compound. That word, you know, four, it's like the project. That word would go around so fast.

I'm like, yeah. But, yeah, when I had him down on the ground, I'm like, yeah, when you get up, you got to go check in. He got up and went and check. You're a rat anyway. Like, your homies ain't going to hand you, and I'm just telling you to stay from up here,

and they ain't going to hand you, and now you got to go. And they ain't nothing. Nobody else can say. You know how that go. If you ain't going to police your own, we're going to police it. Like, get up out of here.

Yeah, but for Dix. T was down there, though. Apollo was there, too, from Atlanta. Apollo was there. I know Apollo. He was in the hole. He was in the hole with me. He was on the west side with me?

Great, dude. So now did you stay out of trouble when you got out of prison? Yeah. I've been home for like seven years. Yo, to be honest, I got, I got, I start trial like August and November. Start trial for what? I'm caught up on a crazy, I don't even know what to call it, bro. I'm caught up on a case that I would have never been charged with in another state.

I got a video from my lawyer, right? I asked my lawyer. I asked my lawyer. I got a lawyer. My lawyer named John Waldron, one of the biggest lawyers out in PA, out in town area. He always on the news all the time.

So he's my lawyer. Great defense attorney. And I asked him, why am I still fighting this case? Because I'm not supposed to have a case. Why am I still fighting in this case? He sent me a video and said, this is so sad,

but this is true. The video is a lot. line up of five dudes and it's the cop bringing the lady and the white lady and he say he say yeah pick him pick him out she pointed out the white dude he tell the lady hey I think you're tired you sure is him and not him pointing at the black dudes one black dude line up she said no no no no no he said I think you're tired you need to go lay down they lay her down bring her back and say look at the line up again do you see him boom this time in the lineup

it's just he's the only dude in the lineup with all women she's like no he's like I try again do you see him now as the black dude next to mad like

some type of stance light fixture and she's like oh they're all a little shifty and then they say I try again do you see him this time it's just him up there with a poster in front of them and say it's me It's just like, it got to be him.

My lawyer sent that to me. He said, sad but you, but this is your case. I'm caught up on some stuff with, though, basically, I don't know, these, the cat got caught up. You probably shouldn't talk about it. Yeah, I ain't talk about it, man. But bottom line is, my lawyer said that's the case. I mean, straight up and down.

And when your lawyer tell you stuff like that, I told him, I'm in the law. I used to study law and affairs. He said, yo, it's a waste of time. The system is broke. So have you stayed away from, you know, gang life and everything since getting I'm not doing anything. I'm not even caught up in that for real.

It's just when you say stay out of trouble, it's like, yo, damn, I'm in trouble for some shit, I mean. This is just a mishap. Yeah, you feel what I'm saying? So, I mean, a lot of times, I can judge by my past, so I ain't got time to do nothing. You feel what I'm saying? What do you do for work? I work.

I work. I do my music. I get paid off that. I mean, um, most of the time I drive. Anything I do for work, I drive. I mean, I drive. I do delivery. I do part delivery right now.

I'm saying? I do my music. But I stay out of trouble. How are you doing mentally? Mentally? Mentally, I'm actually, I'm fine, you feel what I'm saying? But I'm not the same person I was when I first came home, you know? I've been through a life-changing situation since I've been home.

You feel I'm saying? I almost, 22, I almost lost my, well, I did lose my life for 26 minutes. I was dead on arrival. Had to get a subsidated thoracotomy, now I mean. I was dead on arrival for 26 minutes. I got shot on my female artery. So, I mean, now I deal with like real bad PTSD and I don't do certain things I used to do.

I don't do no more, I mean, as far as like crowds, certain stores, certain areas. Like, the way I look at things is just like always defense, I mean. So I'm normally by myself, things like that. You feel what I'm saying? That was really like the life-changing event for me. You know what I'm saying? How did that happen? Was that gang-related or wrong place, wrong time?

Trying to break up a fight. I mean, trying to break up a fight. Literally trying to break up a fight at a hookah. I don't drink a stuff anymore. I mean, but yeah, people be intoxicated these young cats and they don't know what they're doing. I mean, bottom line. breaking up a fight, I ended up getting shot my female artery.

It wasn't nobody trying to shoot me. One shot, a whole crowd. One shot. I got shot in my femur artery. I thought it was just a leg shot. Lucky I was parked right there. I made it to the hospital. I died right there, though, at the hospital.

So if I would have fell to that ground and listen to people with their little regular line, don't move. Just stay right there. Just stay right. You know how they always be like, you shot, don't move the bullet, no, no, no. Listen, I got a car and I left, you know what I mean? And I still die, you know what I'm saying? 26 minutes, I mean, and that was 12 days after I had my daughter, I'm saying.

So that was the life-changing event for me, you know what I'm saying? Since then, I've been chill. I mean, I've been real chill, but that ain't had nothing to do with me, to be honest. It'd be crazy how some things happen, they ain't got nothing to do with you, but it is. you look at certain things. Why do you think that had to happen? I think to show me I wasn't invincible. That's what that showed me.

It showed me I wasn't invincible. Because when I say like, it ain't like I always thought I was invincible. I always thought I could stop everything. You know what I mean? Because I've been stopping everything my whole life. I've been controlling the narrative. I'm always, you understand what I'm saying? So I always thought I could stop everything.

You feel what I'm saying? I thought it can't happen to me. Me? Shoot me? Stab me? Jump me? Me? You got to be like,

you got to be like, you know what I'm saying? Like that's just how I mean. And even though it was a mistake, you know what I'm saying? From the cat, I feel like it was a mistake from the cat. Whatever. Whatever. Yeah. That's what it showed me.

I wasn't invincible because. I was protected, you feel what I'm saying. I was walking, I knew, I was protected, you feel what I'm saying, I was protecting. I was trying to break up something, you feel what I'm saying? Like, it ain't my place, you feel what I'm saying? I can't stop everything. Sometimes you've got to let people just crash out. I can't stop everything.

That's what that taught me. It can happen to me. You never in a thousand years, I would have thought somebody would have been able to blow me. Like, blow me? Especially in a whole other state, I'm from Jersey. For me to get blue in PA, like, yo, bro, that pissed me off. That really pisses me off. I mean, no, that dude, like, yeah, I was just saying that really pisses me off.

You feel what I'm saying? But, yeah, it been good. That's what that showed me. I wasn't invincible. And, you know, God always show up. God always show up. I mean, I'm a God-faring person. I'm Muslim.

And he always show up. You know, the doctors told me, after six minutes, the brain died, after 10 minutes. Now, they say after six minutes, the body died. After 10 minutes, the brain die. That's what they told me. And they said I was off oxygen for 26 minutes. So when I was in my coma and everything like that, they told my family don't crowd the bed because they said,

if he ever wakes up, he might not know nobody. And I woke up fully functional. And the doctors, to this day, they always ask me, they always say, like, you know, whatever guy I got for you was for you, you know, they told me, you know, never look up a resuscitated thoracodymy. I mean, resuscitated thercodythorotomy is when they cut you, you know, I mean, you know, they cut you from here to here, and they open you up, they broke my rib cage, massage my heart to make it beat again, 76 units of blood.

I mean, I was dead on arrival, bled out, shot my father. female or your main already, you know, they say that's one out of every 100,000 people that make it out of that resuscitated their economy. It's residents doing it on you. It's not done. It's a life bringing back type of thing, but it's not something they do with the expectation of you coming back. Doctors then told me he's one out of every hundred thousand.

Dude said he's been working there 12 years. I'm the first one he ever saw. So they always tell me, like, you're a man. miracle, you're a miracle, you feel what I'm saying, your brain still work, you're a miracle. I mean, I just, it showed me, it got me still going. It gave me more of a purpose that keep going. I mean, it gave me the chance to still be in my daughter life. I just had my daughter 12 days before that.

That's all I was able to think about. My daughter, my daughter, I ain't drop a tear. But that's the last thing I saw. You know, people say, what do you see when you die? Like, bro, when I was on that operating table, when they first cut them clothes off, because I died at the first hospital. And I think I saw my daughter. Fluent to me.

And I just was saying, la, la, la, la, Allah, Allah, Allah, Allah, Allah, Allah, Allah, Allah, Allah. I'm saying? I saw my daughter, though. Because that was the last... I just had... We had just had it 12 days before that. So, last thing...

Like, that was... I mean? I guess that was God saying, like, yo, that's your purpose, not mean? Maybe that was my purpose to keep going and whatever. But I know in my brain, I never gave up. They see, I died. I ain't know that.

You know what I'm saying? My brain, I never gave up. I gave up. I left it in God hands. But you know, sometimes you get that feeling, man. It's just over. I mean, like, no, I ain't never get that feeling. You feel what I'm saying?

I kept saying, my daughter, my daughter, my brain was still on fighting. People were trying to take plastic at my mouth that I was chewing while I was passing. I'm still chewing it. But this brain going to keep working. You know what I'm saying? Word. That's what that showed me that it could happen to me, and I ain't invincible. You feel what I'm saying?

I'm saying. So it created PTSD, but it showed me something I needed to know. Because before that, man, listen, you can tell me, you know, I'm going, what are they going to do to me? You feel what I'm saying? And it happened. I've seen it happen. I mean, whatever.

I mean, we all know it can happen, but I always, that's what that showed me. It humbled me somewhat, you know what I'm saying? To a sense.
