Locked In with Ian Bick - I Was Kidnapped & Sent to a Teen Prison in Jamaica | Patrick Champion
Episode Date: March 9, 2026Patrick Champion grew up in Florida in what most people would consider a good family, but as a teenager he began getting into trouble, running away from home, and pushing boundaries his parents didn...t know how to handle. Eventually they made a decision that would change the course of his life forever. In the middle of the night, Patrick was kidnapped from his home and transported to Tranquility Bay in Jamaica, one of the most controversial programs tied to the troubled teen industry. What was supposed to be discipline quickly turned into something much darker. Patrick spent nearly a year inside the program where he says he experienced abuse, neglect, extreme punishments, and psychological control while being cut off from the outside world. The experience left deep scars that followed him long after he returned home. In this episode of Locked In with Ian Bick, Patrick shares what really happened inside Tranquility Bay, how that experience derailed his life, led him into addiction and crime, and eventually resulted in a 10-year prison sentence in Florida. _____________________________________________ #ianbick #lockedinpodcast #tranquilitybay #troubledteenindustry #prisonstory #truecrimepodcast #kidnappedteen #prisonsurvival _____________________________________________ Connect with Patrick Champion: Instagram: @championfamily2020 YouTube: @UrFriendlyFelon Tiktok: @lastnamechampionnn _____________________________________________ Hosted, Executive Produced & Edited By Ian Bick: https://www.instagram.com/ian_bick/?hl=en https://ianbick.com/ _____________________________________________ Shop Locked In Merch: http://www.ianbick.com/shop _____________________________________________ Timestamps: 00:00 Kidnapped in the Middle of the Night 03:01 Childhood Trauma and Family Turmoil 08:00 Growing Up in a Broken Home 13:00 School Trouble and Behavior Issues 19:00 My Reckless Teenage Years 26:59 Running Away and Living with My Dad 34:00 The Plan to Send Me Away 38:38 How I Got Sent to Tranquility Bay in Jamaica 45:11 Arriving at Tranquility Bay Teen Program 51:00 Surviving Tranquility Bay and the Troubled Teen Industry 01:03:00 Trying to Work the Program and Planning Escape 01:13:00 Restraints, Isolation, and Punishment 01:23:00 Losing Hope Inside Tranquility Bay 01:27:00 Returning Home After the Program 01:32:00 The Downward Spiral to Prison 01:41:00 Prison vs Tranquility Bay: What Was Worse? 01:51:00 Rebuilding Life After Prison 01:57:00 Recovery, Support, and Healing 02:00:00 Moving Forward and Helping Others Learn more about your ad choices. I was woke up by two dudes in my room.
The little bald dude is like, listen, you can come two ways.
You can come the easy way or you can come the hard way.
Were there any other escapes?
When you're laying on your face and you get restrained,
he'll put his kneecaps in the back of your knee.
So then he'll like kneel on it.
Your kneecap's like grinding into the tile, bro.
That's while they're also got your arm and jacking your wrist up.
And that's when you're like,
and you're just relentlessly screaming.
One night while Patrick Champion was asleep in his home in Florida,
two strangers walked into his room, grabbed him, and took him away.
By the next day, he was locked inside Tranquility Bay in Jamaica,
one of the most controversial facilities in the troubled teen industry.
What happened to him there would change the course of his life forever.
I grew up in Jacksonville, Florida.
So, actually, I was born in Pensacola during a hurricane in 1995.
So hurricane Elaine.
So that's probably why I had a while.
side for like the first half of a while. I'd probably have a wild side now if it wasn't for my spine.
You know what I mean? And going to prison, that'll tamer down. So did you make it to the hospital or
now? Yeah, so but I got evacuated. So the story goes, my mom gave birth. And then like hours
after they had to evacuate Pensacola for Hurricane Lane. And then they took me with my
Graham. I want to say they, like, I want to say they were in a taxi, they said, but it was my
me mom, my mom, you know, so they took me to Alabama. And then, of course, per usual, the
hurricane shifted and then was going towards Alabama now. So they had to, boop for the vision,
head back to Florida. So then I ended up, my mom ended up going back to, actually St. Augustine,
Florida, now I think about it. So that was her, my biological dad.
who was a real,
real doozy.
So your parents weren't together
when you were born?
Yeah, no.
So,
yes,
they were.
And then they got divorced
when I was probably like five or six.
And then that's,
my mom met my stepdad.
That's when I took the last name champion.
Okay.
Great last name.
Yeah,
right?
So I was like,
of course.
My last name was caps.
So when they asked me,
I was like,
duh,
yeah, dude.
Champion.
it but for sure everyone always you know always wants to sing the song you know so uh but so i mean my
childhood was good dude um like to go down the path i went is like always baffles people you know what
i mean like i don't know how you were like people would always look at my photo book and their first
thing would be like what the fuck are you doing here you know what i mean because i see my family and
they'd see like all this like you know what I mean and I'd like like you know what I mean
it's me yeah wrong road dude you know what are you doing here what'd your mom do for
what did a little bit so my mom she did a real estate for a little bit but then once she met my dad
he for a while he professional fished like marlin fished um so he did that for a while but they
like she wasn't with that for very long because they were alcoholics you know what I mean like
they got down you know what I mean so there wasn't too much you know too many years of that
before she was like listen you know if you want to have a family like fishing's great like they
were doing good you know they won trophies and money and but like it was cool but like you know
like they were like they would remember my dad saying like they would like at three in the morning
they would get gatorade and like dump it all the way out except for like you know what I mean like
that much and then fill it with vodka and then like add like two teaspoons or tablespoons or
sugar so it like hit the system like you know what I mean and then they just be fucking cooking going
you know a couple hundred miles offshore you know I mean so my mom was like you know if you want to
like clearly raise him you know so eventually he gave that up and he did real estate then he got
really successful um so like I went to like Christian school and like always like upper middle class you
know what I mean?
So to go down, the road I did was crazy.
And I often wonder how I got there.
Now that I'm 40 and have a daughter, it's kind of like, you know,
I can kind of see like how much a dad does play a role in your life.
Now that I see myself with my daughter and I can truly see like,
if I were to like go get the milk and not come back, like I can like,
dude, she would be devastated.
You know what I mean?
Uh, so maybe like, you know, the father role was probably played a big role.
And like, uh, and I had all sisters.
I got all grandmals.
I didn't have a grandpa.
You know what I mean?
So, like, my family was full of girls.
So, yeah.
How were you as a kid?
What would, how would people describe you?
Uh, class clown for sure.
Yeah.
And it was ADD, you know.
And, but like, my parents always went about it.
wrong like I could see my daughter has it now it's clear as day there's no way I'm getting her to
sit down you know what I mean at a at a desk for eight hours and um and do that like we we're homeschooling
now and it's a chore to get her to focus for half an hour you know what I mean um so class clown like
I was always it was always getting a phone call about you know he's always talking out turn he's
always cracking jokes he always pranking people you know i mean so i was i was in trouble at a very young
age so like i got i got suspended and i think it was middle school for five days because a girl in
like i want to say it's like uh what is that like fizz ed class like anatomy or whatever yeah
health yeah health class whatever and uh like my buddy hit me in the nuts and like i was like uh
And I had said, like, you hit me my nuts.
And, like, some random girl was like, I bet you don't have any nuts.
And you know, at that age, like, you know, you're getting into girls.
Like, this was a huge blow to my ego, bro.
You know what I mean?
Like, and it was, everyone heard it.
And so I was like, okay.
And so then after class, me just, like, shit just goes.
You know what I mean?
That was always been an issue.
So, like, my first thing was like, I'm going to show her.
You know what I mean?
And so, like, she can't.
down because it was in our football locker room like where we watched film that was where that
kell class was and it was a small christian school so she walked down and i was just waiting around
me and the homies were waiting around the corner and i just you know not just just the testes
you know what i mean and just hit the wapab wababwap and i was like what are these you know what i mean
so totally like she like oh my god and like you know booked it and uh so like totally forgot
about it like i didn't think it was a big deal period you know what i mean
And then later that day, I get called to the principal's office.
And as I'm coming out, one of my buddies is coming out, and he mouthed, I didn't say anything.
But, like, I couldn't catch that.
You know what I mean?
I didn't get it.
And so the principal was like, champion, did you show anybody anything today?
And I was like, no.
And he was like, I want you to thank.
And I was like, okay.
And he was like, you didn't show anybody anything, any body parts.
And I was like, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
And I was like, the girl told the whole class I didn't have nuts.
And I was like, so when she came out, what pappy, you know what I mean?
And I showed her my nuts.
And he was, it's like, you cannot do that.
And then he got into this weird army story about like when he was in the army.
And I, you know, like, you know, like, I guess like, you know how it is.
Like, even like prison, a lot of dick jokes, a lot of gay jokes.
You know what I mean?
So I guess he was trying to compare that, you know what I mean, to like, I don't know.
but my mom was pissed, dude.
So he's suspended me for five days,
which I thought was just like,
oh, like a detention worthy, like offense.
You know what I mean?
Not so much, dude.
My mom was so pissed.
She called me a pervert for, like, fucking weeks.
Everything like, you're coming to the store with me,
pervert.
And I was like, okay.
And my dad was like, I get it.
You know what I mean?
Like, but that was stupid.
And I was like, I didn't think that through to die.
And he was like, no, not at all.
Aside from that,
What do you think was like a defining moment in your childhood that led you down?
I would maybe a bad path.
Because something like that, more chalked up to kids being kids.
I think literally, probably the divorce.
I mean, now that I'm an adult, you know what I mean?
Like, I didn't understand then.
My sister got to choose.
So we're in that situation where I want to say she was like 10 or 11.
So my mom gave her the option to like, do you want to stay with your dad or you want to come with me?
And me, she was like, you're coming with me.
So, because I was still like, you know, I didn't have an option.
Because clearly I would have chose my dad because he didn't give zero fucks.
You know what I mean?
He lived in St. Augustine, long black hair, beer belly.
Like, my dad, I would show up to see my dad after not seeing him forever.
You know what I mean?
And his first words for always were, God damn boy, where are you been?
And I'm like with mom, you know what I mean, the same place I've always been.
It was just, you know, he's always just chose that hardcore trailer life, man.
You know what I mean?
Just cases of beer and, you know, building fucking Walmarts.
So I think that.
And then like my, don't get me wrong now, like my stepdad is my dad now.
Like I call him dad.
I love, you know what I mean?
He took care, for sure took care.
me but he also was almost like a corporate type man you know what I mean and that's how his dad was
was very successful in real estate you know I mean made a lot of money but they were very uh you know
go to college you know work your way to the top uh so like he was never I mean he was always
there but you know he gets in at six or seven it's dinner time it's yes sir no sir homework go to bed
I drop you off.
So it was never like really any bond, you know what I mean?
Besides like he, you know, he would, you know,
take me surfing or fishing once in a while.
But it was never like, like the bond I have with my daughter now.
Like I never, now I see.
That's how I can, I can kind of pinpoint now.
Because like I see how I'm with my daughter.
And I'm like, I tell my wife all the time, like, you know,
me and you never got any of this.
Like, you know what I mean?
Like just the attention and the focus and like the care, you know?
and like, you know, mistakes from mistakes
and not, like, screaming out my daughter
because she spilled some shit, you know what I mean?
So I'm like, listen, Daddy's a fucking bonehead, you know what I mean?
So I would say that.
But also, before I get into, like, my story, like, the Jamaica story,
I also want, like, people to know that, like,
my parents also did the best, like, I don't have,
like, a lot of people are going to hear this and be like,
like I would fucking hate my parents
you know what I'm like like or you gotta hate your parents
and I don't
I think my parents got duped
you know what I mean
there's no doubt about that they're very
they were very gullible especially we're talking about
at a time when there's not reviews
you can't you know
see what everybody's talking about or
you know
no one's blowing the whistle
or posting shit on social media
so what you saw was what you got
you know what I mean and they fell
for what there was no research so they just
so I want people to also know that I had a good childhood you know what I mean
but I chose a lot of decisions now I don't I'm still I still get angry you know what I mean
about it and we'll go into details like why you know and at all resorts now that I'm a dad
I'm like what for fuck you know what I mean but I just want people to know to love my parents
respect. I'm on honor my parents. But at the end of the day, they, you know, they made a mistake, too.
And, dude, I can't say shit about mistakes. You know what I mean? So I just want them to know everyone
to know that too. So my parents, my parents are dope, but they're just, you know, fail for the old
fucking pyramid scheme.

Hey, you, feeling hungry?
Run the Denny's four.
The new attorney on.
Denny's slamming meal deals.
And see the new Masters of the Universe movie, only in theaters June 5th.
You know what I mean?
What happened?
What is this in reference to?
All right, so when I was, first of all, I was acting, dude, I was whiling.
My dad had become successful in real estate.
And so I was...
Really doing like normal teenage boy shit, you know what I mean?
Sneaking out, drinking beer, you know what I mean, smoking pot.
And I wasn't really doing nothing at first out of the norm, you know what I mean,
from any other, you know, 16-year-old or 15-year-old, you know, boy exploring,
especially in a big city, you know what I mean?
But it got to a point to where, like, I started doing, you know,
then I was doing coke and I was trying to see for the first time.
So then my parents were giving me options and, you know, go to rehab.
And then I really started like one of the, one of the straws was,
I was an outpatient rehab.
And my mom had given me the debit card to get like McDonald's or Burking.
Because you know, you can just hand in the card.
You don't need the PIN number or none of that.
But, you know, I knew the PIN number.
You know what I mean?
With my, you know, every time you with your mom or in the car, you know, I had known it.
And so I had just went to get a 20 out because, like, fucking Donald's, I was going to get a blunt during, you know, whatever, outpatient, whatever lunch.
And my parents are so gullible.
My weed man, my drug, he's the one that took me to the outpatient rehab.
You know what I mean?
That was like he was picking me up every day because I couldn't drive.
My parents just thought he was the nicest guy.
You know what I mean?
So I never forget.
We went to the ATM.
And I was like, let me grab 20.
And I was like, we can get some.
bud and uh we'll smoke on lunch blah blah blah so i get the receipt the 18 i see the balance
and like we're driving down the road and i'm like holy shit and he's like what i said turn
around and he's like what i said dude turn around and he was like why i said man fuck rehab
you know what i mean like the balance like the the checking account balance it was like well
over 200 grand in there you know what i mean so i was like they're not gonna notice five hundred
dollars you know what I mean
so dude off I went
you know what I mean so I was down in Jack's
beach you know
at the hotel and doing eight balls
and just
wilder you know
so eventually
they caught on to that
my mom started noticing charges in like St. Augustine
at like 2 a.m.
you know what I mean so
so
that put it into that so I was
you know I was doing dumb shit
And right before I had decided to run away.
Like I had tried to go back home and I had been like ever since I was 16, my dad had got sober and stopped drinking.
So it was always like they smoked pot, but you don't smoke pot.
You know what I mean?
Or like, you know, they drank cocktails and drank wine, but don't ever, you know what I mean?
Very hypocritical.
So it always, like, course, but now I want to, now I definitely.
want to try to drink it you know i mean and now i definitely like i smell it you know what i mean so
then i'd you know eventually found it in the bathroom and then of course i'm going to try it you
know i mean so my parents were very like uh you know tried to play the part of like everything's a
okay and you know what i mean but like very like a hypocritical so i couldn't stand it a lot of
time so i would just like i'm out you know what i mean i can't and uh we're going to live with my
older sister so i ran away
When I was 17, I got kicked out of university Christian.
That was the school I was going to.
And my mom sent me to the craziest school dude in Jacksonville Beach.
And it was a place called Foundation Academy.
And it was like a school for like, you know, trouble, almost like a bad school.
But like it was so wild because it's not what you were thinking like metal detectors and like, you know, like officers and like in school.
You know what I mean?
like all, you know, just this wild, like, high school, it was, like, the most, like,
vibey beach.
It was, like, on the beach, right?
And then, so, like, six period was a surf class.
I had surf period.
Six, like, six period was my surf class.
Every Friday, we took a field trip.
You know what I mean?
I don't ever remember, like, doing homework, and I got bees.
Like, every, like, pretty much, I'm pretty sure my parents just paid the tuition, and I
got bees.
You know what I mean?
So, long story short, I meet a kid there named Shane Pigmy.
and this kid was a surfer and he was like his future was bright bright like he was already
sponsored by vocum and all these sponsorships so i just bullshitted it and i was like someone
had told me who that was and we'd saw them and they showed me in like a surf magazine as like
upcoming grom they call him uh and so like i just bullshit him i was like are you shame pigmy
and he was like yeah and i was like oh dude you know i mean like a big fan and uh so we came good friends
you know what I mean?
And so we'd start skipping school together and like surfing together.
And I was never really surfing because I would just sit there and watch him.
You know what I mean?
Because it was just ridiculous, like the potential this kid had.
And so we got in trouble one day.
We got, I think we were during Captain Morgan's and like during lunch we were skateboarding in the parking lot.
And like he ate shit.
The principal, I'll never forget, Miss Nadia came out.
And she clearly smelled the booze.
Like Shane was a wild, wild kid.
And so she smelled the booze on him.
And in the office we went.
So she gave us two options.
She's like, look, you can either bring your parents tomorrow and we can figure out
like consequences and all that or you just don't come back to school.
And so I told Shane, I was like, dude, what do you want to do?
And he was like, oh, dude, I don't know.
I was like, I can't tell my parents.
I already got, you know what I mean?
I'm already, this is, you know what I mean?
I'm running out of options, dude.
And so I was like, what if we run away?
And he was like, let's do it.
And he made it sound so sweet.
He knew like photographers and like Melbourne and like, you know, all these people.
They're like sponsorships up and down the coast of Florida.
So off we went.
So we go, I spend the night at his house, steal all my, all the snacks out of the pantry.
You know what I mean?
I load up my 89 Toyota pickup, bro.
And I load my surfboard up with a blowup, Matt.
mattress and fruit by the foots and all types of shit and uh i peel out and i'm gone to go to
shane's house he of course calls the weed man we get like a half ounce of like you know back in
the day good weed seeds and the old reggie you know what i mean and uh so he's like yeah bro god
you do to pay you tomorrow when i get off work you know what i mean and we were fucking out and
uh so we go on this wild ride uh to just um just
stripping and just surf expo and just like blur bro blur gets to a point where like he has to go back
home his mom is telling like listen if you do not get back in school he's going to lose sponsorships
as a like in high school you have to graduate high school um so it got to a point and i was like
bro you probably should go back you know what i mean like i'm a retard you know what i mean like you
you're like
like we went to the surf expo
and they would just like
give them sunglasses
you know what I mean
write them up for a new board
and like boxes of Vulcan shit
you know what I mean
you just give to me
and I was like dude this is wild
bro I was like you know what I mean
it was cool shit
but like I was like
and to him it was just like
meh you know what I mean
like man I was like
dude you should probably
go back
you know I got nothing
you know I mean
I'm just here bro
so
he eventually goes back
and that's when I like
I'm like well I guess
I'm gonna go find my real dad now
you know what I mean go see what this dude's up to
so
yeah
I go and I never forget
I always remember where I grew up you know what I mean
and even through the years it changed like
it was a
it was two trailers bro
pushed together with like a tarp over it
like redneck ingenuity shit
you know what I mean
like five cars in the yard
with the hoods up all got stickers
like save a horse ride a cowboy you know what i mean so uh i find the the i find the the trailer
i'm knocking the door and uh because i'm i'm thinking i'll just stay with my dad for you know
try to get back on my feet um i haven't seen him in fucking you know years and uh some dude
some piece of work answers the door and like off rip she knows i guess my dad has pictures
in the trailer still and uh i guess i still i don't know but she's like
You must be chase.
And I'm like, yeah.
And, like, is my dad here?
She's like, no, that piece of shit down and right.
Like, you know what I mean?
Just like Jerry Springer, like redneck shit, bro.
So I'm just like, okay, where can I find my dad?
And she tell me, like, where he's at?
And so I go down there.
And, of course, like, my dad sees me.
It's the same thing as always like,
damn boy, where are you been?
And I'm like, fucking with mom, bro.
Where have you been?
Like, you know what I mean? You're my dad.
And so I told her, I was like, I've been with mom.
He was like, oh, that beach, you know what I mean?
And so I'm telling like, listen, I couldn't take whatever, you know what I mean?
I got out of there.
I'm trying to figure, you know, shit out.
And he was like, well, you can stay with us.
So I stay with him.
Long story short, we got to go to South Carolina to do building Walmarts or metal framing or whatever.
So I'm like, yeah, sure.
Get up there.
I'm not with it.
Like, I'm already missing.
I like, you don't know.
I mean, my dad said he quit drinking, and that's clearly alive.
I'm just like, you know.
So I called my girlfriend and Steve Schillcom.
I'm like six hours from Jacksonville.
So they can't get me.
Nobody can get me.
They don't got no money.
So I'm like, dude, I guess I'll just steal a car, right?
And I've never thought about this.
I'm not no, like, grand theft auto.
Like, you don't I mean?
So my dumb ass was like, I'll just wait for someone to get gas across the street.
When they go in, I'll just, whoop, hop on the highway because there's,
There's the highways right there.
I'm full tank.
You know what I mean?
And I'll just need to get, you know, back to Florida and I'll be good.
So I do it, right?
And a guy gets gas, goes in, leaves the car running, boom, hop in.
I tell myself a hundred times, dude, make a left, get on the interstate.
Make a left, get on the interstate.
Make a left.
Get on the interstate.
Dude, hop in.
Uh, huh, make a right.
And then I'm just going right.
And I realize that, like, you know, it's medium with trees.
You can't, you know what I'm fucked.
I didn't make it a block, dude, and a cop.
turn his blues on like that guy
a kid like they saw me
the dude saw me before I even had the door
shut you know what I mean? Hopping in and shit
so
how did this day I got away
I have no clue
dude
so I immediately see him he jumps
the median through the little trees
or the shrubs whatever
I pull off the next
fucking right I pull in and it happens to be a trailer
I immediately hop out I have one bag
you know what I mean so I hop out and I'm booking it through the woods
So I get into the woods, I stop, I change shirts.
And then, of all places to pop out of, I pop out like literally behind a preschool that's
like recess.
You know what I mean?
So I'm like, this is the worst place I want to be behind a preschool, you know what I mean?
So I act normal, dude, there's cops everywhere.
So I go into a neighborhood.
And you know, you get that feeling, you know what I mean?
Like, I need to like, you sense, you don't know how it's happening, but like you're dodging it.
You know what I mean?
So I'm in a neighborhood.
So I'm like, I like, I would hide behind a book.
Bush real quick and no sooner as I'm sitting there for like two or three minutes just like shaking
and like a cop would fall by and I'm like, okay, I should just stay put.
So I end up at a house and then I see behind the house there's a gas station.
So I jumped their fence and I sit behind the dumpster at this gas station, dude, you know my knees are just, I'm just fucking shaking.
And I finally see a guy like a young kid getting gas and like I run over there.
I'm like, hey dude, I was like, hey, can you give me a ride?
I was like, I got 10 bucks.
Can you give me a ride to my hotel?
So I was like, I'm not from here.
I was like, we're building your Walmart.
And everyone was super pumped.
They were getting a Walmart.
Like, they didn't have shit out here.
So they, like, oh, yeah.
Like, yeah, we're building your Walmart.
And I was like, dude, we got fucked up.
We got drunk.
They left me.
Dude, I've been stuck here at the gas station since last night.
He's like, oh, yeah, dude, get in.
So I'm like, all right, bad.
I got in and just, what I?
You know, slammed it all the way down.
Made it back to the hotel.
My dad came back.
I was like, did you have got to get me out of here?
And he was like, what?
I was like, dude, I tried to steal a car, and I'm not good at it.
And I was like, I didn't make it fucking six blocks down the road.
And so everyone knew kind of what was going.
There was cops all over.
So he's like, oh, you're, you dumb ass, you know what I mean?
And I was like, listen, mom said, buy me a bus ticket, a Greyhound,
and she'll, I will, she'll give me the money and I'll, whatever, how it was back then,
Western Union to you, soon as I get back to Jacksonville.
My dad's like, oh, I don't know, you know.
He doesn't want to give up, not even a son.
You know what I mean?
So eventually he caves in.
He buys my, you know, back then, dude, I don't even remember what a Greyhound was.
It could have been like $29.99 to ride Greyhound.
So I make it back home.
My mom pretty much it's over.
Like, it's time to go home, dude.
Like, it's a route.
I'm 17.
Like, I don't have it figured out yet, bro.
And, like, everyone's got, like, you know what I mean?
Everyone's starting to graduate high school.
And I'm like, what am I doing?
So I tap out.
I go home.
So me and my mom have this heart to heart.
She's like, I can't believe you try to exit.
I can't believe you're doing drugs.
Can't be doing this.
And, you know, we're just me.
Me, I think I was pretty just sitting silent.
I was my old, like, I would just sit there and not say shit.
You know what I mean?
So I remember my mom saying, I want you to sleep in the guest bedroom tonight.
I was like, okay, you know what I mean?
She's like, we don't want you running away.
Because they had a nice house.
They had a two-story house on the intercoastal.
So we had jet skis and, you know what I mean?
Life was, you know, good.
And I was just an idiot.
So I always didn't think nothing of it.
And I remember talking to my girl at the time in high school.
And I was like, yo, mom said you can come over.
I'm grounded as, I'm grounded as shit.
You know what I mean?
But you can still come over.
which being grounded at that time was sweet because I lived on the water so I could still fish
I could still take the John boat go fish I could still take the jet ski I just could have no friends over
so grounding wasn't dude all that bad I would just go rip the jet ski all Saturday you know
I am by myself you know what I mean so um grounding I was still cool like yeah it sucks I know
I was grinding for a long time but like still I'll just fucking fish you know what I mean and and
I had my girlfriend over, and I was 16, and I was just fish and have sex.
You know what I mean?
So I don't know what time it was, but I remember the nudge, which I'm assuming was my mom kissing me, like on the cheek.
And then I was the way I was woke up by two dudes in my room.
One was Dr. Phil looking dude, and one was like a shack looking dude, black and white.
So I can't hate either people or either right.
I can't hate nobody.
You know what I mean?
So I'm just like, the little bald dude is like, and you know, like I'm so delirious.
Like at first I'm thinking I'm in trouble for the shit I pulled in South Carolina.
I somehow, you know what I mean?
They've got me.
You know what I mean?
So I'm just like, okay.
And they're like, listen, you can come two ways.
You can come the easy way or you can come the hard way.
And so me being, you know, me, I'm just.
So I'm like, well, what's the hard way?
And they're like, well, you go with him.
He's a big black dude.
You know what I mean?
I clearly was like, yeah, I'm fucking straight.
So I was like, no, no, I'm good.
And I was like, where are we going?
Like, what is going on?
Where are we going?
He was like, get up, get dressed.
I'll tell you where we're going.
And I was like, well, I need to pee.
And at the guest bedroom, it had a bathroom, but it had another door, which
led to the playroom, right?
So in my mind, I'm like, all right, I'm going to tell him, I'm about to get out of
situation. Fuck this. You know what I mean? Because
shit's, now that I'm like starting to
like wake up like
completely, you know what I mean? I'm like, yeah
dude, this is something's off.
And so I'm like, I got to pee.
And then, but like, okay.
So I go pee and the dude's behind
and they, I think it was already on point.
You know what I mean?
When it walked around to the playroom and stood
and just like kind of like, you know, stuck his arm
up and it was just, didn't
say nothing, but I was like, well, there was that.
you know so i was like can like what's going on you know what i mean and they're like get dressed
we'll tell you when we get in the car so and my house is dead quiet dude my parents are nowhere
i have two little sisters at the time right so like i'm like you know mom yeah you know like what
you're like what what what is going you know so they take me down the whole walk down i'm bro like
like yo like what the fuck you know what i mean
Like, where am I going?
And nobody will say shit.
And we get in a rental car.
And we're in the backseat.
I'm in the back seat.
So we're going to the airport.
I'm going to like, how do we get to the international airport?
I'm like, I'm not fucking, I don't know.
Find out yourself.
You know what I mean?
And where am I going?
How about that?
Let's answer that, like, first, man.
He's like, we'll tell you when we get to the airport.
So I'm like, whatever, dude.
figured out
yourself. So
shit's starting to sink in
as I'm all the way of the airport, bro.
So I started crying.
I realized, like, I'm fucking cooked.
Like, there's no getting out of this.
You know what I mean?
Like, I could run.
You know what I could run away again.
But, like, I tried that.
And, like, I sucked at that.
You know what I mean?
I didn't have the money.
You know what I mean?
Like stealing gas back when you could,
you know what I mean?
When you could before, like, prepaid shit.
So I was just like, this is,
this sucks.
So we get to the airport.
They open the door like,
I'm going to take these handcuffs off you.
But if you are going to do anything stupid,
you know what I mean?
We're keeping on.
It's like, are you going to do anything stupid?
And I was like, and just that split, you know what I mean?
That me thing and like,
hmm, that was another like, okay, no, we're not.
You know what I mean?
And I was like, do I go and give a shit?
Where are we going?
You know what I mean?
So they give me this, they carry this tub.
And we get to, like, check in.
And it's this big blue tub.
And, uh, they open the tub up.
And I'm just like, what the fuck?
Now I know I'm not in trouble for stealing cars or stealing that car.
And like that whole thing, right?
I know that this is clearly something different because in here is like boxers, socks,
fucking notebook paper, pencils.
You know what I mean?
So immediately I'm like, oh, fuck.
I'm going to military school.
It was my first thought.
so I was like shit
you know what I mean
so
we get to the gate
we're waiting at like when tables
I'm like tell me where I'm going man
and I was like I'm not going to go nowhere
dude you got me like it's fucking
just tell me where we're going and he's like no
we'll tell you when we get there
so I gave him like two more of those
I was like listen dude
tell me where we're going or like I'm literally going to get up
and run to this fucking airport
you know what I mean and like you're going to catch me right
and you're going to bring me back,
and then I'm going to fucking run again,
and I'm going to make the biggest fucking scene.
Just tell me where I'm going.
Like, you know what I'm not going anywhere.
So he was like, all right.
He was like, let me ask you a couple questions.
He's like, have you ever been to the Caribbean?
And I was like, no.
I was like, well, I was like, we went with my parents.
Like in the Bahamas once, but like, I don't know.
And he was like, all right.
He was like, well, you're going to school in Jamaica.
And so my first thought was like,
okay, that doesn't sound like, that doesn't sound bad.
And he was like, I heard you like to surf,
and I heard you like to smoke.
I was like, yeah, yeah.
And he's like, well, you want to be doing that here?
I was like, oh, well, fuck, why even say that?
You know what I mean?
And he was like, it's a boarding school.
He's like, there's a girl school.
This is how these assholes fucking sell me.
So in God, I don't know what they saw.
To this day, I don't know what they saw my parents
or what they told them, what type of healing
what I was going to get from this.
So, they asked me if I ever went to the Caribbean, I say no.
They tell me there's a girl, so they tell me there's a girl school there too.
So I'm thinking, so far I say half bad, I can't smoke for whatever, you know what I mean?
But I'm going to be in the fucking Caribbean and there's a girl school?
You know what I mean?
All right, he said there's a girl school.
So, and I was like, well, how long is this?
And he's like, it's nine months, nine months to a year.
And I was like, okay, I don't know, not bad.
You know what I mean?
So I'm thinking like, I got like, okay.
You know what I thought I was going to like.
fucking Fort Bragg high school
You know what I mean?
Like some military shit
So I was like
Oh this is
Mom kind of looked out
That's my first thought
Right
So dude
I land in Jamaica
Bro first of all
I land after a hurricane
It just hit
So
One thing I will say
Is when they get hit by a hurricane
It fucks them up
But the other thing I will say
Is that they don't give a fuck
Dude
They're hanging out
They're going on
They're you know what I mean
it's fucking business as usual, bro.
So we land in Jamaica, off rip.
I can't understand nothing.
And I'm just handed, like, I'm just a little white boy, you know what I mean?
Just pushed.
And everyone's talking that patchedois or how I don't know how you really.

They pronounced it, but I can't understand shit, dude.
You want to just pull the mic closer?
Yeah.
And so I don't understand nothing what's being said.
I'm just trying to say, like, I don't know.
I'm going to school.
You know what I mean?
So they rushed me to this van, put me in a van,
with some random, just, I guess, taxi do they hired?
And it's just me and him.
And this, I mean, we're going through the hills of Jamaica for like two hours.
And that was the second realization of like, like, holy shit.
Like, they drive wild in Jamaica, bro.
You know what I mean?
Like just me, me, me, me.
That's it around corners, you know what I mean?
Just getting it, you know what I mean?
And then when we get the spots where it's washed out from the hurricane
and there's goats everywhere and like people everywhere,
but they got music playing and they're drinking beer,
they're hanging out.
So I'm like, man, this is going to be dope, man.
Like, you know what I mean?
Like, this is not going to be bad experience.
I think I'm going to love this.
You know what I mean?
You can smell weed in the air.
So we get to a part in the road, bro,
and it's washed out and we can't make it.
So we finally do make it.
And then, like, I have to change fans
because like that van got fucked up and uh or no wait the other van got fucked up and another kid
got in my van and it was a little white it was another white kid and uh i remember him saying like
you got any drugs or dope on you and i was like no and he was like good and i was like wait what
and he was like where are you going and i said i don't know some school and he was like yeah it's
not what you think and dude i the the the the fuck
fucking sink, like the pit that falls, you know what I mean?
When like, because I had just boosted myself up like, you know what I mean?
Like, oh, this ain't going to be bad, dude, you know what I mean?
And the look on this kid's face is, bro, this is not what you fucking think it is.
Get fucking ready.
You know what I mean?
And we didn't really talk the rest of the ride.
You know what I mean?
It was kind of just like when you get to a certain level, you can go home.
I'm coming back from that.
Do what the fuck you're supposed to do pretty much.
in so many words, you know what I mean?
So I'm like, oh man, like, now I got that, like,
pre-sentence court date feeling, you know what I mean?
I'm just like, oh, dude, this is, this can't be good.
So we finally pull up to this gate, and then, like, my,
what I see confirms what I feel for fucking sure, dude.
Like, it's this white building resort, like,
with this silver gate
like Jeffrey Epstein type
white building but like you tell it was an old hotel
like our like motel resort
and on the silver gate it's just got all like
you know like the gingerbread cookie cut out
like children like they got just rows of those
each one of different color like rainbow color
of like holding hands
just like this weird fucking
like you look at it and you're like
what the fuck is this place you know what I mean
and then we they open the gates
and you get in there and
I'll never forget
up on the balcony there was like three
three white dudes sitting up there
and they're wearing brown shorts, brown shirt,
shaved head and like sandals.
And it looked like little UPS delivery.
You know what I mean?
Like little UPS uniforms.
And the look on their face was just like,
damn dude.
You know what I mean?
Like, they got another one.
And I'm just thinking of my mind like,
what the, where the fuck am I at?
Because everyone's facial reaction to where I'm at right now says you should probably fucking try to escape.
You know what I mean?
And like hindsight, if I would have known what I, you know, what was going, I fucking probably would have at the airport.
Or when I was in Jacksonville, bitch, you got to catch me.
You know what I mean?
So I get to like intake, whatever they call intake.
And so everyone knows this place is called Tranquility Bay.
All right.
So it's part of a program, which is called the WASP program.
And they got some in United States, Utah, Colorado, right?
So I can't speak.
I'm not speaking on behalf of any of these other schools
because I think they're all privately owned by different people.
You know what I mean?
All I can say is what have in Jamaica.
But I've heard stories of some good ones in the United States.
My personal view, they run.
Don't send your kid to.
and fucking none of them.
You know what I mean?
You know, figure out your kid is your kid.
You know what I mean?
Spend, you know, put the work in.
Did you watch that in Netflix documentary?
No, I still haven't.
I saw bits and piece of, like, one of them, I guess,
of the Paracelton one.
I know she, like, had a movie about one that was kind of similar.
But, no, I didn't see it.
I need to watch it.
But from what I've heard, it's pretty, you know,
It's pretty spot on.
Me, unfortunately, I got sent to the one that, like, everyone was like,
dude, don't get sent to fucking Jamaica.
You know what I mean?
It was like the one camp in your state that's like, when you're getting sentenced,
they're like, man, I hope you, dude, you don't want to go there, bro, no matter who you are.
And so, yeah, that was, like, the one thing.
And it was expensive, bro.
So it was up to, I don't know how my parents paid, but I know it was in.
anywhere from 20 to 40,000 for the year, you know what I mean, which is pricey.
And some people might be thinking like, oh, that's, you know, that's like a tuition for
like a nice private school, you know, but it's not what you're getting at this place.
You know what I mean?
Like the power would go out fucking constant.
Like, you farted too hard the power was out.
You know what I mean?
Like, Colts, like, just someone's keeping some money, bro.
You know what I mean?
Like, it's, you know, it's not going to.
the kids, that's for sure.
So when I get there, I go through the processing.
And feel free if you got any questions, just kind of budding.
No, you're doing great.
Just keep rolling through it.
Just keep rolling.
Tell us everything.
So there's this big, huge, cool Jamaican lady.
Like, you know, and it sucks, too, because, like, some of the people you meet there are the coolest fucking people, man.
You know what I mean?
and so like she was one of them
you know what I mean
and she was like yeah I'm on take your clothes off
and I'm like okay
you know like what
and so you know they look for malls
whatever and she's like take a shower
and I'm like okay
like my dumb ass is sitting there
because like it's got a hot and a cold
so like I got the hot and a cold
and I'm touching you know like waiting
like damn man come on motherfucker
and she's like
what are you doing
and I'm like waiting for it to get warm
and she's like
she's like warm
Watha and I'm like yeah and she's like no man and I was like oh shit like cold cold you know
I mean so get in there and then they take me I got in on the afternoon like late so
I kind of didn't know what was going on that night I went straight to the classroom um
found out I wasn't allowed to say shit like not allowed to talk to anybody I'm not allowed
to talk to other kids right now um which I'm sorry like I'm trying to figure out like
like what?
You know what I mean?
And I'm trying to like,
yo,
what's,
hey?
You know what the fuck
is going on?
Like,
can nobody speak?
And they're like,
you can't,
you can't be talking.
I'm like,
what?
So trying to piece this together.
Like,
to that night,
they take me to my,
it's all broke up
into family.
So I can't remember
this was so long ago.
I can't remember how many families,
but it was like unity,
success,
dignity.
integrity
these were your families
that was the family name
you had two family fathers
that worked like rotating shift
and they spent day and night with you
I'll never forget mine
Mr. Nation and Mr. Bennett
right Mr. Nation was pretty fucking cool
Mr. Bennett was the fucking devil
dude
only like I can describe Mr. Bennett
was he looked identical
to Jai Rule bro
but like darker than your wall
and he was missing these two teeth
and he had massive fucking canines.
And he was just, dude, just, like, you could tell, like, he was raised.
Like, he probably clearly didn't like white American, you know what I mean?
But, like, he, dude, he was, he did not fuck off, bro.
Yeah, Mr. Nation, thank God for that.
Mr. Nation, if you ever hear this, you know what I mean?
He was, like, very, like, zen, like Bob, like, you know what I mean?
Like, give me a champion.
You know what I mean?
Like, like, Mr. Miyagi type knowledge.
you know what I mean?
Like super down to earth.
So the next day I find out what time they send us to our room.
So I'm in unity.
That's my family.
I find out I'm in the unity family.
They're in my room.
And the rooms are creepy.
Like it's imagine this room and take all this shit out.
And the only thing are like these thin pieces of wood that fold out and there's pieces of bar that fold.
up to hold it like on the ground and like they make bunk bags then another piece of wood folds
out and there's like thin ass like prison mats um and that's what you sleep four to eight or to
six in a room you know what I mean um no AC windows open um so I mean don't get me wrong like if you're
on vacation it's vibe you know what I mean um like but if you're about to live your life here
um this is not Tranquile day was not the spot you wanted to be
And it's so crazy, dude, because, like, some days I can literally smell things.
You know what I mean?
Like, they say smell is the closest thing to, like, triggering your memory.
Like, that smells what, like, triggers your memory more than any other sense.
So, like, dude, I can remember literally looking and being literally from me, probably to the end of your podcast studio,
to, like, just coral reef and a cliff and just fucking ocean.
like these sunsets that are just like the most beautiful like just gorg you know what I mean just jaw
you can't say shit you just sit there and just like damn you know what I mean and then you realize
where you're at um and so like we would wake up early you get woke up by screaming you know what I mean
onto the courtyard where they would do physical uh PT you know what I'm jumping decks and
I can't remember all push-ups.
Unfortunately, my family showered first, which was right after PT, which sucked ass, dude.
Because the showers there, what 40 grand a year gets you is a fucking almost like barnyard cutout door outside with that beautiful coral reef I was telling you.
Like halfway between where you sit to look at that view and then the coral reef and the edge in the ocean, there's this like row of 12 like barnyard.
stable doors with fucking rubber hoses is to go out and you pull the hose and it is the most
coldest just water that comes out and so that's like the sun's just cracking up dude and i don't know
if you know this but the caribbean when you're right on the water like on the coast right there
that wind is like most mornings it's whipping dude so not only is it's cold water you know what i mean
but it's like most mornings it was like 15 20 mile hour wind's just you know what i mean you
are dude like there were some mornings you would
just like bucket you know i mean and they would force you so you had to like stick your head in like
like you know what i mean like at least like get wet um and then from on from there you would go if
it was your day wash you'd go wash your clothes by hand in a bucket they give you a bucket and some
sud-sud which is a little bag and you would get your bucket and literally just so just
all that would run and you'd hang your clothes that's where you'd brush your teeth and spit it
into a ditch you know this is all stuff that like you know my parents paying 40 40 gs for
this shit. You know what I mean? Like, I'm literally squatting down at 6 a.m. spitting into
like a trough that goes into the fucking ocean. Like, the only thing I wasn't doing was
shitting in that trough. You don't know what I mean? So, like, I'm starting, like,
people are starting to talk to me. Day two was when, like, I knew, uh, I knew there was levels
to rock bottom. You know what I mean? So, like, we were walking in the morning and I hear this scream,
dude man listen and like i hear this scream they're like something's wrong like the dude's getting
i don't know what's going on he's sexually so something's fucked up's going on you know what i mean
like it's blood curdling scream and everyone's attitude with it when i was like yo dude
what the fuck is that and they're like well i was just getting restrained and so i'm like okay
okay time out y'all are just like way too casual what is restraint like what do you mean
restrain.
Like, oh, well, if you pop off or if you get in a fight or if you run your mouth, you know what
mean, they'll take you in there and restrain you.
And they're like, just don't get restrained.
That's all everyone told me.
Don't get restrained.
So I was like, okay.
So immediately, I'm ready to fire off.
The only way you communicate with your family is through letter, right?
And the only way you guys have to go through mail, which is a fun fact.
It has to go on a fucking ship, right?
and the Jamaican mail system is not like the quickest.
So by the time it gets to a ship, right,
then it's got to go on a ship,
go, you know, a week back to the United States,
then go, you know,
so it takes you like three or four weeks
to get your letter to your family.
Even if you're going just from Jamaica to Florida,
which should be, you know, pretty quick.
Now, your parents could shoot emails back
and then your family mother, right,
would, at the end of the day,
it would be mail call,
you to get mail. So I immediately write my letter like trying to be respectful, like not,
not trying to like, like, not trying to like shit on nobody and say like, what the, you're,
you're all stupid, you know what I mean? Like what you clearly got fucking tricked. So I tell them like,
look, I write a letter and say like, listen. And I don't know word for word the letter.
I'm by my mom, yeah, they might still have it. But pretty much like, hey, listen, like, I, I,
realize I put myself in this position, like, no doubt.
You know what I mean?
And I'm cool with fucking working whatever program, you know what I mean?
I'm cool with going to whatever we have, all right?
Cool with whatever.
But this place is not what you think it is.
All right?
I'll go wherever you need me to go, but this place is not what you think it is.
There's fucking kids screaming and so-called getting restrained.
You know what I mean?
Like the food so far is, I don't know what?
you know pretty much like sardines rice plantines powdered milk you know what i mean like prison
like a prison food was way better you know what i mean um and then every day was the same
sandwich a bologna sandwich was like the soggy like coleslaw type shit on it uh i will say
they threw a little saracha on that bitch you know what was that uh but yeah just like horrible
You can't get no more cheaper to feed people.
You know what I mean?
Like, this dude's rake it in the fucking dough for sure.
So I write a letter, you know, telling like, listen, I promise, the whole works, dude.
You know, I promise I'll do this, do that.
It's not what you think it is.
Please fucking save me before shit gets real.
And then I get my first letter back.
And dude, this is when, you know.
your parents have been
fucking plugged in
to the system, you know what I mean?
This letter and the first
I don't even remember what
I just remember in my mind the first thing I remember
seeing was work your program
and I knew I was like, oh fuck
so
pretty much
listen you're not going nowhere you need to work your
program you need to stop manipulating us
we're not going to be manipulated anymore
you know and I'm thinking
like whoa whoa whoa like I'm
actually telling the truth this time. I'm not in my mind. I'm not manipulating nobody, bro.
I'm telling you the God's honest truth. These people are so slick, dude. Your family mother,
what happens is before you even get there, they have this whole conversation with your family
about that first letter and what that first letter is going to entail. You know what I'm saying?
So pretty much they tell your family, that first letter is going to say, we are a people.
abusive, we beat them.
There's, you know, there's no hot water, the food's hard, you know, just wow, wow, wow, wow, wow.
You're going to hear all the crying.
You're going to, he's, all he's trying to do is manipulate you so he can come home.
And he's, and it's, dude, it's so slick because they fall right into it because that's what every
letter is, is every kid going, whoa, whoa, hold up, dude.
Like, I don't think you signed up for this, mom, you know what I mean?
And so every kid, you know what I mean, gets that same fucking letter, but like, uh-uh, work your program, quit manipulating us.
And people called it out.
They're like, wait until you get your letter, bro.
You'll see.
And I'm like, no, you don't know my parents.
Like, my mom, my mom's coming to get me, bro.
You know what I mean?
You don't know my mom.
My mom, when I tell her what the fuck's going on up in this bitch, she's coming to get her baby.
You know what I mean?
I might be a fuck up.
You know what I mean?
I might, you know what I mean?
I might be a little rowdy, dude.
But I'm the only boy.
Mama's coming to get her baby.
You know what I'm thinking.
mama ain't coming to get shit this time dude mama is not coming to get and here's the crazy part is when
they send you there because you're under age you're in a different country dude so they sign
49% of your rights so technically i'm half jamaican you know i mean uh because jamaica was my daddy
and my mommy for a year pretty much you know i mean they legally have which to me in my mind right
And don't get me wrong, I take full accountability for all my dumb shit, you know what I mean?
I'm not saying I didn't deserve to go to whatever, you know, or whatever.
Probably just needed some attention, you know what I mean?
And just people to listen.
But that to like sign, I could never, no matter what my daughter did, I couldn't, like,
I don't think I could sign my rights to a Jamaican government, right?
And just trust them with my daughter.
and this is the say that there was a female school like we got fucked up like they fucked us up
over there but like it was some abusive shit going on right and to this day it always fucking irks
me because like I have no clue what was going on over that female side you know what I mean
and you probably know I'm getting that but like what was happening over there you know what I mean
because none of these people were certified so these weren't like counselors dude you know what I mean
these were just normal and I you can't get mad at the Jamaicans you know I mean they're like
hell yeah i can make good money what do i got to do like oh just keep these little fucking white
boys in check you know what i mean they're like oh wogwan man yeah so it's like most of them
weren't certified in any type of like counseling or like prison or like you know type of security
um the teachers weren't like some of them weren't even teacher you know what i mean the counselors
most of them weren't counts they were just normal people you know what i mean they're like
i didn't blame them like i would have taken a job too if i you know lived in jama and
that job person
I was like shit
but I'd say
what I wouldn't have done
probably what I would have done
it was probably not abuse
fucking all the
you know
kids but like
it was uh
so once that letter
once I got a letter dude
I kind of like tapped out
it was kind of like
you know I'm gonna
I'm gonna try this
you know I mean
I'm gonna like
try to work the system
you so called get points
every day that you don't
fuck up you get points
and at the end of the day
you get so many points
and if you're
real good boy at the end of the day for dessert you get a piece of pineapple like just one
fucking piece of pineapple just dude the walks around with a bucket you know what I mean and just
toothpick and you're just like uh like at the Chinese restaurants yeah but like you know you're so
hungry you know what I mean and you're just like oh thanks bro you know what I mean you're like I
fucking kill you if I go and uh so nobody's getting extra you know what I mean um so I tried
tried to work the program.
I may it's level three where you get a phone call.
So working the program.
And trying to make it work.
Dude,
I meet this guy named Chuck.
This is where me and Chuck are like,
at level three,
you get to go down to the beach
and go swimming once a month.
So we're down there.
We make it level three.
Now, everyone's already told me,
you can only, you're like,
dude, you're not going to make,
you're not going to graduate is what everyone's somebody like.
Don't, it's just a fucking,
once you get so close,
the top, you know, boop, you know what I mean?
They kick you right back down. You lose the points.
They want the money.
You know what I mean?
As long as your parents are paying, bro, you're not
fucking, you're not graduating.
Now, if your parents pick you up, totally different.
But, you know, they're not just handing
out graduation every nine months.
So I'm like, great.
So I'm making it at level three.
Me and this dude, Chuck, Chuck's a wild boy.
He's 17. He's tatted up.
You know what I mean? Like I am.
Like, you know what I got tats all up
down my, you know, my hands and arms and our chest. So, like, he's at 17. I'm like, dude,
this kid's wild. You know what I mean? And we become really good friends. And we both
turn 18 at the same time in August. So we've already made this plan. At 18, they have to release you.
You're an adult. So they have to give you, your parents don't pick you up. They have to give
you like 50 bucks and a plane ticket to Miami. So I want to say Chuck turned like 18, like August,
like 20 something. And I turned it like the 29th. And so I'm like, I'm like, I'm,
I'm like, he's like, bro, I'll wait for you, Miami, bro.
And I was like, bet.
And I was like, well, just, let's just ride it out until we get to 18.
You know what I mean?
We're like, at that point, we were only like another six or seven months until we were 18.
So we go to the beach and we're swimming in.
And dude, we see this fucking rowboat down the road.
And you're not, like, it's known not to run from this place.
Like, it's very well known not to run from this place.
That's why they give you sandals.
You don't wear tennis shoes.
They give you flip-flops.
And they shave everyone's head.
with a zero. You don't get nothing. You don't get to rock nothing, but a zero. So if any
Jamaican clearly sees a white boy with fucking cancer, like, you know, buzz tad, flip flops, a
UPS uniform, bro, they're coming for you. You know what I mean? Because they get a reward.
They'll get like a $100 U.S. reward for anybody that they catch and bring back. So that's a lot
of money in Jamaica for these dudes that live out in the hills, you know what I mean? So a lot of
dudes have run and they're like, yeah, I'm good.
You came back.
You know what I mean?
So me and Chuck had made this plan after a while that there was, we saw a boat way
down the beach, bro.
And every night we got these little three crackers and everyone got this little canteen
water bowl.
I went with you everywhere outside, you know, you filled up.
That was your water lifeline.
And so me and Chuck are like, bro, what if we rode to Cuba, bro?
Like, what if fuck running on land?
We're not going to make it on land.
No one makes it on land.
you know what I mean?
You just can't.
You're so far from any tourist spot.
And where you are at is some, like during elections,
we weren't allowed outside the gate during election time
because it was fucking gangster.
You know what I mean?
So I was telling Chuck, we were like, dude,
what if we rode out of this bitch?
Like, I was in the school.
Like, I don't know if I was right.
Fucking, we would have died, dude.
I was measuring like, okay, it's 90 miles from Montego Bay
to fucking Cuba.
You know what I mean?
I was like,
well, pack crackers.
We'll steal everyone in the room's water bottles,
but plenty of water.
We fucking,
you know,
they're going to be locked in on land.
No one's going to know about,
no one's going to suspect the rowboat, bro.
Chuck's psychopath.
So he's,
like, yeah, dude,
you know what I mean?
So we're like,
okay, bet,
this is a plan.
This is,
we're going to do it.
All the windows don't have,
this place doesn't have bobwire or anything.
Like,
it's not hard to get up and go.
Like, the windows
or the wooden slops.
So, like, you can just get a, you know, like something sharp and unscrew them and then slide the
slates out and you just jump out the window and you're gone.
So luckily, we didn't row to Cuba.
Thank God, dude.
There's no doubt.
Even imagine if we would have, like, like, what, washed ashore at Cuba, you know what I mean?
Killed by sharks.
Yeah, or like, then what now?
Like, the Cuban government has us.
You know what I mean?
Like, no passport, no idea.
You know what I mean?
So, dude, thank you.
God, Chuck was a psychopath, dude, because, like, out of nowhere one day, every day after lunch,
you have to go to, like, counseling, which is your family mother.
And, like, so Chuck just, like, sticks his head in it was like, we're doing it now.
And, like, where I'm in the middle of, like, group or whatever, and I'm like, what?
And, like, every room had a door that led to a balcony that stayed locked.
You could never go out there, but it was like a hollow, you know, shitty door.
And, dude, out of nowhere, you go, boom.
You know what I mean?
And then you see Chuck just running across the balcony.
And he's just like, just scream it.
You know what I mean?
And just like, like,
oh, good.
And then, like, jumped up right up to the peak of the thing.
And it's just like threatening to jump.
You know what I mean?
And so we're all just like, what?
And so they make us bring all these mattresses down and, like, stack it below them.
And Chuck was fucking smart.
Dude, he got a phone call.
And he has seen this girl across.
You're not supposed to make eye contact with him.
but like you kind of and if you made it to like the seminar you got to do a seminar with them so like
he had seen this girl in seminar and like you know they were in love and shit and uh so like he wanted
to talk to her and like so he got his wishes you know what I mean and then got down and uh that was
that Chuck went to you know clearly restrainment which was like isolation pretty much um but then
chuck gets I'll tell you a little bit more about Chuck after I'll tell you about I guess
isolation.
So when you mess up that restrainment,
pretty much what happens is you go in a room like this,
it's nothing in it.
And there'll be a Jamaican sitting in a chair.
Usually, you know, one of their physically fit
or one of the bigger guys on staff.
And usually what will happen is you get a towel and that's it.
And you'll lay on your face.
you'll lay on your face on that towel all day
and then every hour
just depends on really I guess the guard
you can get permission to like turn
your head you don't mean or stand up and stretch
and like you think about it bro
and you're like man you're just lay on the floor
bro when
like hours into it
this cheekbone bro
it gets
so sore and like and they know that you know what I mean and then they just want to like pain you
you know what I mean um and then every morning they come in and you got to do uh PT so a lot usually
just like sit there and just do butterfly kick and then just constantly to we're like usually they do
it usually they want to restrain you so usually they just physically they just do butterfly kicks
and shit and then you just keep going until you're just like man you know like fucking restrain me
bro you know what I mean just because you're like you're gassed um so there's that and then like
your lunches are shit you get bread and then like uh i can't remember it was like sandwiches you got
like a ham like a bologna sandwich and i want to say like some beans and that was it um and your
water uh you got your water bottle um but you could stay in there for a long time bro and plus because
that it puts you on a man it puts you in like a fuck it dude you know what I mean
So get on. It took me to, I got restrained once. And I was like, yeah, okay. You know what I mean? Like, I'm good. We'll get to how I got there because it's kind of towards the end of my stay. But, you know, are you supposed to get your GED there? And you don't know none of this. You don't know, like, none of these people are certified, not certified. You don't know that your high school are the people you're supposed to get your GED that like, I don't even know she has a height. Like, I don't even know she has a GED. You know what I mean?
um so like and then like like the school like it was pretty much she had you a book and you read
and you do like it was no like teaching like nobody was up in front teaching it was pretty much
teach yourself um which was wild too so i pretty much refused schooling was told them like i'm not
not doing school um and then my parents i kind of lost it when my parents came to visit and that's when
I like, I kind of like lost hope.
Yeah, I mean.
Because I was certified, bro, that they were going to take me home when they saw me.
You know what I mean?
Like, there's no way.
And they came super early.
Like, most kids don't get to see their parents for like, it's been like over a year
before they get to go to that seminar, you know?
And I guess I've always just had that charisma where like I make people laugh.
You know what I mean?
Like, I'm always joking.
Like, I mean, even in that situation, you know what I mean?
Like, my family, bro, I have my family.
bro, I had my family rolling.
You know what I mean?
Like, we were all, like, we were having fun.
Don't get me wrong, you know what I mean?
When we got settled and, like, in the rhythm of,
like, present, when it's just, same shit.
You know, that always got me by
to where, like, you know, everyone was like,
oh, man, I fuck with Champ.
He's fucking, that dude's retard.
I did the funniest shit.
So, like, I always, you know.

Oh, I forgot where I was going with that.
Your parents visiting.
Oh, yeah, my parents visiting.
So I knew, so I got to go early, like super early.
to where like I didn't even
I was thrown off guard
that I was going
and just when they woke me up that morning
they told me I was going to the seminar
I was like oh shit no shit
like my parents are like my parents are here
and like yeah and they're like
you're not to ask to go home
if they hear you asking that dumb shit
right it's over
all right your parents are going home
you're out of the seminar you're not to be
begging to go home and all that shit
that was made very very fucking clear
so
So the seminar comes
And my parents
Like they do the stupid
Like
It's so dude
It's like
The way they introduce you to your parents
Like
You're supposed to stand with your eyes closed
And you like
Your parents come and stand in front of you
And like your eyes are closed
And you don't know if they're there or not
We're like you know they're like
And they're coming in
And all the parents are lining up in front of their kid
And they got like Desperado playing
They're like
Desperado
you know what I mean like all this sappy you know what I mean
and it's like okay I did and uh it's like oh my parents
my eyes see my parents you know I'm of course I'm happy
you know what I mean and the first thing I want to say is like
yo give me the fuck out of here um
we got to go to this whole seminar
and it's like the most fake it's like you know
all right I want you guys to act like you would I want you guys to argue like
you would at home you know what I mean and then
it's like they want you like pretend argue
and then pretend make up, you know what I mean?
And, like, me, my parents weren't like that.
You know what I mean?
It was like, I would mess up.
They would yell.
I'd go in my room.
You know what I mean?
And shut the door.
I don't talk to them.
Next day, I'd come out.
Mom, nothing, like, everything's back to normal.
You know what I mean?
I still want to be grounded, but, like, you know what I mean?
It's just, like, kind of back to normal.
So, like, my family was always kind of, like, just, you know,
you know, never really confront, like,
never really addressing shit or, like,
So during that seminar, we were just kind of like, they were like, okay, well, what would you do?
And we're doing it.
I'd be in my room and they'd be fucking whatever they're doing, you know what I mean?
Like, we wouldn't argue.
We wouldn't like have this, you know, like, I hear you did.
You know what I mean?
So after the seminar, they do a real good job of like sprucing it up.
You don't hear nobody screaming during that week, those two days.
You don't hear nobody getting restrained.
Hell, there's nobody in the fucking restrainment room.
You know what I mean?
so like it's super
that's when I was kind of like
you know what man
I'm about to just say
fuck it
you know what I mean
like I'm about to just
and I didn't want to
because like
you know
I still take pride of myself
you know what I mean
like I don't want to be a fucking asshole
you know what I mean
I don't want to run around
cousin stuff
or be it you know what I mean
but like
what are the fuck am I at
like you know what I mean
like this is crazy dude
and it's just like
you can't get
nobody to believe you, bro. You know what I mean? Like nobody's parent, no mom believes anybody,
no dad believes anybody. You know what I mean? Everyone's fucking full of shit. Everybody's
manipulating. Like, well, there's a lot of fuckers with broken arms and getting busted open and
getting stitches and shit. And like a lot of people just falling down fucking stairs. You know what I mean?
So like, it would, wow, dude, they would literally fuck people up and then go get them stitched up.
And then they would write the letter for the child, you know, like Timmy fell down of horse playing.
make sure you do not let him manipulate you into saying that, you know, he was beat or the staff did this
because, you know, his number one tactic is to manipulate you so he can come home.
You don't fall for little Timmy's bullshit, you know what I mean?
So, I mean, they're good, dude.
Like, it's, you know, it's fucking wild, man.
And so, like...
What were some of the other kids there for?
Every...
I mean, dude, it's...
Somewhere there for some fucked up shit, dude.
You know what I mean?
Like, there was one little 14-year-old, like, 13 and 14.
I generally felt bad because he was a cute kid.
Like generally was like just an adorable little fucking shithead.
You know what I mean?
Like you know the kid off Big Daddy with Adam saying?
Like that little cute kid, he was like one of like 13.
You know what I mean?
Like this little baby phase, the most innocent looking fucker, right?
This dude was a little demon, bro, right?
And like he was there like he tried to burn.
Like clearly, yeah, he was a problem.
You know what I mean?
Like he tried to burn his parents' house down and shit.
So like, you know, but you wouldn't see it by looking at him.
You'd think, you know, like, oh, you little cute little kid, you know what I mean?
Like, oh, dude, that motherfucker is wild.
But then you look at these kids like that kid, right?
He is stuck there, bro.
He's not leaving.
He's not 18 no time soon, right?
His parents, I think when I was there, he had been there for almost,
hold on two years, you know what I mean?
So, so like, that's crazy.
No one's fucking resident.
And most of the kids there, their parents are rich, right?
they're not batting their eye at this you know they're paying they're paying the same the same
cost at the states for the kid to go to private school or catholic school or you know what i mean
whatever um so do you think this is a better alternative to juvie or do you think juvie would
have been better than juby juby would have been better for sure so do you think the parents are
duped in thinking that this is better than juvie like they want a better experience yeah for
sure um for oh yeah uh and this is the crazy part um um is
this guy,
his last,
J-K,
right,
J-A-Y,
K-A-Y.
I think that's it.
J-K.
I know his last name is K.
So he's one that owned Tranquility Bay
or is the leader.
And his daddy
was like the board of Wasp,
like,
you know,
involved in Wassam House.
So,
of course,
this dude owns now,
like the ripe young age of,
like,
the right young age of, like,
24, he owns Tranquity Bay.
All then to,
like,
you know,
discipline type,
like,
you know,
get in line, like, you know, my way, the highway, like,
like abusive shit, you know what I mean?
Like, it's, dude, it's not to say, like,
if it wouldn't have been for the restraining and stuff like that, like,
that's why I say, like, I have a feeling.
Some of these programs probably did work, like, in the States, you know what I mean?
But what you have in this situation is you have a piece of shit
who's making a fuck ton of money, you know what I mean?
And feeding everyone like shit.
you don't know what I mean the I don't know how they the power work there because it was always just
in and out you know what I mean um it's also overseas so they get away with a lot more yeah and there's
nothing you can do yeah and then you got to think about this dude they they're they're half your parents
you know what I mean like they and for that they had to do that because if you have to go to the dentist
or whatever they have to be your legal guardian so they had to you know legally sign um so yeah
just got wild like some kids couldn't escape you
You know what I mean?
Like, I remember laying there at night because I was 17.
I was like, man, if I get out, dude, I get money, bro.
I'm like, I would have these fantasies with kids.
You know what I mean?
Like, bro, I'm coming on a banana boat, bro.
And I'm fucking, I'm freeing all you fuckers.
You know what I mean?
Like, you'll see me.
We'll just bust the gate down.
You just get on the b'bba.
We'll be gone, bro.
Were there any other escapes or?
No, I mean, there were.
There's people that definitely tried.
Like I said, though, not when I was there.
No one really tried.
I think me and Chuck were the only ones that were, like, really about to try to, like, actually.
And that was because we were going to try to, like, row.
You know what I mean?
We weren't ever going to try to, like, go on land.
You know what I mean?
What about, like, assaulting staff to retaliate or food strikes or anything like that?
No, see, like, I will say this.
Everyone's so young, too, right?
It's a, and everyone's very, like, so half the kids are brainwashed, right?
half the kids are are thought to believe you know they're the problem you know uh and you got to
you know yes sir can i stand man you know i mean very like military you know and i get the
structure right i do good and structured environments you know i mean uh but like i don't know man
it's it's just kids especially when you're because some of these kids are still young
dude you know what I mean and like I couldn't imagine like my daughter getting restrained like
even if she was 12 and acting like a shithead like yoking her fucking arms up to where they're almost
snapping and grinding their knees and they like the like the concrete you know what I mean and like
that's probably why my spine is fucked up you don't I mean um so like when you're laying on your
face and you get restrained they would they'll get a Jamaica and he'll put his knee caps in the back
of your knee, like, you know, rest in the back.
And so then he'll, like, kneel on it and, like,
dig that kneecap to where, like,
your kneecap's, like, grinding
into the tile, bro.
That's why they're also got your arm
and jacking your wrist up to where, like,
your fucking fingers are, you know what I mean?
And that's when you're like,
yeah, and you're just, dude, just
relentlessly screaming.
And so,
I finally was just like,
fuck it, man.
I lost all my points.
Mr. Bennett finally got the best of me.
One day, we were playing soccer,
and so I was allowed to call my parents once a month,
but even then I was just like,
what do you want, like, what do you want to hear, man?
Like, what are we doing?
You know, like, how is everything at home, right?
You know, like, you have no clue what's going on here.
And then I can't even tell you, right?
Because this fucking, they listen to you, talk on the phone,
so you can't say anything.
Like, let's say I got you,
watch you get your shit split.
I can't tell them anything on the phone.
You know what I mean?
They'll hang the phone up.
The phone's in.
You lose your phone privileges,
you know what I mean?
Because your family mother's right there.
Listen to the whole thing.
And then if you write it,
it's just all bullshit.
You don't know what I mean?
You think they read the letters
before they get sent out?
Yeah, oh yeah, imagine.
I imagine.
And,
dude, what's wild is actually,
now that I think about it,
when I was doing mail call one day,
this is how small the world is, bro.
And they called my name for mail.
And so this kid, and I didn't recognize him, you know what I mean?
He's like, do you have two little sisters?
And I was like, yeah.
And he was like, are you from Florida?
I'm like, yeah.
And he was like, do you go to blah, blah, blah, blah,
and nothing beats me.
I'm like, yeah.
And he was like, holy shit.
And he was like, it's Brian Cordy.
And I'm like, oh, shit.
He had changed his name
like Thomas Cordy or some shit
And we went to fucking middle school together
Like we were good
Like I spent the night at his house multiple times
You know what I mean?
And like he would move to Houston
And got like fat
And like definitely you know
Different you know
Life was rough on him too
And like
I was like
This is fucking wild
You know what I mean
Like what are the odds
Of like
You know like
We know each other from
You know
Whatever Beach's Episcopal or whatever
And like now we're stuck in Jamaica
bro.
No, your biological dad didn't wonder where you disappeared to or he just didn't care.
I don't think he cared.
My dad was a drunk.
You know what I mean?
He died.
Actually, he died when I got out of prison.
I just don't think it was towards the end.
I'm pretty sure he was like, you know, warned to a pot.
I think he just felt like it was too late.
Like he just, you know, it was too late.
It was too much time.
It passed to like try to fix it now.
And then, of course, I'm pretty sure he was.
dying and news dying from drinking you know what I mean so you get released from there when
you're 18 my parents came and got me so at 18 or before no right before um so I wrote I finally
I finally lose all my points um I get into an argument uh Mr. Bennett and me don't get along
um pretty sure he hates my guts you know what I mean and not fond of Mr. Bennett either and
uh so I get like tackled during soccer one time right
and uh like clear like the kid didn't like me you know what i mean like it was clearly like i didn't have the
ball and i just truck you know what i mean just trucked me dude so i get off and mr bennett's like kind of
chees him you know what i mean so i'm like oh like we're allowed to just fucking hit people you know what
and he's like that's a swearing you're not allowed to swear you know i did nothing right you know
not a fucking fart at the school so so i'm like oh i'm like that's fucked up and he's like that's
another one. So I'm like, you know what? I don't got, I'm not, no, I'm not doing this. I was like,
I don't give a fuck no more. Fuck this. He's like, that's a B.R.V, which is like a blatant rule
violation. If you get three, you get a B.RV, which is like all your points for the day.
So then I'm just like, I'll end. I'm just like, fuck you, fuck, blah, blah, blah, blah.
Like, cussing, swearing, swearing, B.R. V, B, B, B, RV. That's another one. B. And I'm just like,
fuck you, fuck you. You know what I mean? I know I got like 3,000 points. So I'm just like,
Fuck you, fuck.
Just burning points, you know what I mean?
At the end of the night, dude, I get a stack.
I get a stack of little single papers this thick, dude.
I got to sign like 700 pieces of paper for swearing, BRV, swearing, swearing.
So then I write a letter home, and I'm just like, dude, I don't know if I can make it.
Like, I don't know if I can make it to 18 because, like, it's really starting to fucking suck, man.
You know what I mean?
Like, and then what am I going to do when I'm 18?
My parents aren't coming unless I graduate.
They made that clear, right?
So I'm going to go to Miami.
You know, like, really like fucking Chuck's a loose cannon, right?
I've seen this kid take a razor blade and slice a, like, razor razor, like prison, crack it open, get the razor,
slice it all the way up, both sides, wrist up, and then on this back side, all the way up,
and walk out and just be slinging blood
everywhere, bro, everywhere, right?
And come back two days later
with like, you know, the cast with like the
where you're stuck like this, you know what I mean?
Just like crazy, you know what I mean?
So that dude was probably a blessing
that me and him would end up fucking hanging out
after you Jamaica.
But I just got to the point, man.
We're like, I'm fucked, man.
Like, my parents are coming to get me.
What are I got? I'm going to go spend,
I'm going to have $50 in a budget.
bus ticket in Miami you know what I mean so I'm really for the first time of my life was like
I wonder if I could kill myself dude like I wonder if I could like have like pull it off
because it's easy to say in my head right like at that point right you know I mean and I remember
I busted a light bulb and I grab that's the one thing I mean there wasn't really much to find
for as far as like it was nearly impossible.
able to find a razor. I still don't know how Chuck found a razor to fuck himself up.
Because everyone had like, you know, the big zzz razors. They had those. So I was like, you know,
soon if it doesn't get, you know, I don't know if I can be released to Miami and just dumped.
You know what I mean? My parents were going to let that fucking ride. I was, you know, I wrote a letter
and was pretty like, like, if you don't come get me, this is my last shot, right? Like, if you
you, if you don't come get me, I'm, I'm going to kill myself.
Like, I can't, like, I've constantly, for years, try to express what's going on.
You know what I mean?
And it just, you know, it's like, maybe this, maybe you'll see, like, you know what I mean?
Maybe this will make you see, I'm not fucking lying.
I will kill myself to prove, you know what I mean?
This is not what you think it is.
You know what I mean?
and so like shit i might get emotional talking about i've never really even talked about this story
you know besides like war stories you know in prison so uh like i got caught i guess somehow
they did like they found the glass in my pillow um i get caught with the glass
so my family father tells me like yo uh you got a phone call today and i'm like
what i've like i don't got no point
I'm not supposed to be talking, you know what I mean?
And he was like, no, you know, they want you to talk to your parents because of you saying
you were going to kill yourself, you know what I mean?
They need to talk to you.
And he's like, my advice to you, this is Mr. Nation, this is like Bob Marley, Zinn.
You know what I mean?
He's like, don't yell, man, you know, don't yell at a man.
You know what I mean?
He's just super fucking chill.
And I'm like, yeah, but man, you don't know, Mr. Nation?
You know what would you do?
You know what I mean?
If you were sitting here in this fucking shit, what would you do?
And he's like, yeah, man, the pitch of us big.
Everything going to be iron, ma.
You know what I mean?
Just very like, just take a breath, man.
So, and I wasn't catching on what was going on.
Like, you know, like, if I totally feel a phone and I'm not going home,
I'm not going to be Iry, man.
I'm going to be fucking ivory, dude.
You know what I mean?
Because I've made it very clear if you're not picking me up
and I can let me graduate, which is a scam.
you know, you might get lucky.
You know what I mean?
I know there are kids that graduate probably in a year or a year and a half to you,
whatever, but it's, you know, I don't know, you know,
I don't know what you got to do to that,
but I didn't see it while I was there.
So it took me to the office to get a phone call,
and my parents are in there.
And the first thing is, am I going home?
And they were like, well, let's sit down and talk.
No, no, no, no, no.
Am I going home?
Because I've, like, for real,
If I'm not going home, I do not want to play this game because this will be fucked up.
You know, I mean, if you brought all the way down to here to fucking talk to me and you don't bring me out of here, you don't mean?
You couldn't talk to me about not killing myself and tell me you love me and you leave me here again.
I will fucking lose it.
You know what I mean?
So I'm almost like, you're going home.
And I was like, fuck.
Like, did I almost get emotional thinking about it now?
Like, it's almost like being free.
You know what I mean?
And I did 10 years in prison.
And it doesn't get emotional after doing seniors of prison like it does,
just doing those nine months in that place, you know what I mean?
Just the sheer, just the abuse, man.
Like the rep, the, the repetit, it's a daily, you know what I mean?
Like Groundhog Day, every day, you know what I mean?
Just same abuse, same verbal, same physical, same, you know what I mean?

Yes, over and over and over, so it was wild.
Did you ever get closure with your parents when you got home,
or do you think that built-up resentment is what led you?
to prison later on.
That's, yeah.
Jamaica's what started it, man.
And like my dad tells me now,
and he told him I got out of prison this last time,
was like, man, I regret.
That's like the one thing I regret most,
more than anything,
was sending to do that school.
And I've told him like, man, you can't like,
like, I'm the man I am today
because of the path that got me here, right?
I'm only the man I am now
because of the road that I went down
to get where I am today.
So no matter who fucked up, whether you made a bad decision, whether I made bad decisions,
doesn't matter, you know what I mean?
Yeah, it sucked.
Definitely not your brightest fucking moment, you know what I mean?
But also, you got duped, you know what I mean?
You got duped.
You got sold a dream that your kid was going to come back and be fucking playing the hokey-pokey and like, you know what I mean?
And like, reciting the 12 steps and got a GED and like, you know what I mean?
Like, you got sold a dream too.
With $40,000 is your kid, you know what I mean?
And it's just not, that wasn't what was going on there, you know.
And so, yeah, I definitely, bro, that led to, and it didn't take long.
I went, I tried to go back to high school, and I just couldn't, I couldn't get over it.
You know what I mean?
I was just like.
Well, you would have been a little too old for high school now.
Yeah, but I got back at 17.
They were going to, my old, my old private school was going to let me graduate.
So they were going to let me do finish up or whatever.
But I didn't make it like two months.
I was like, I can't be in there, you know what I mean?
Like, people know, you know what I mean?
And it's just like, back then it was really weird.
People were like, well, you got a kidnap, bro?
Fuck.
You know what I mean?
And I'm just trying to deal with like, how do I forget, how do I show up with Thanksgiving?
You know what I mean?
And just be like, what's up?
You know what I mean?
Like, everything's kosher.
You know what I mean?
It was, it was, it was, I don't know.
I still don't think I've dealt with it, be honest.
with you. You know what I mean? Like, I think I still, especially now that I'm a dad. And then like,
I take that more serious than like fucking anything. And it's my daughter. And like, now that I have
her, I'm just like, yo. Do you think if you didn't go to that place, you still, your path still
would have led you to prison later on? Yeah. So either way you were destined for prison? I think. I think so.
I definitely think so. I think I'm a firm believer.
in God and I choose to put my faith in Jesus.
And there's no doubt that that's exactly where I needed to be in a season of isolation.
You know what I mean?
I needed to be in the desert.
Because regardless of the Jamaica, before Jamaica, bro, I was taking my mom's suburban in the
middle of night.
You know what I mean?
Like we were already doing drugs.
I got a high-speed chase with my stepdad like.
Like police style, like cutting through construction cones running red lights.
Fucking, my dad just right behind me just coming out from me.
Pull the fuck over.
And I'm just telling Shane, like, bro, he's like, man, just pull over.
I'm like, bitch, if I pull over, he's fucking me and you up.
I'm not pulling over, bro.
I will die before I pull over right now.
So, like, I was on a path.
Like, you know what I mean?
I was wild.
I just didn't think, man.
And a lot of it, too, was like, I have.
severe ADHD, you know what I mean?
Like, I am off the charge
ADHD, which is a blessing for me because I'm
starting to figure out how to hone that and
and love
myself again through all this shit.
We're like, I'm so creative, you know what I mean?
That's why everyone was like, you need to get on TikTok
and YouTube. I'm like, what the fuck is TikTok?
You know what I mean?
And like I was telling your girl
was like, it didn't take long before
like I was having a ball, you know what I mean?
And then, you know, I got 5 million views.
on a video and two minutes and then I was just like okay now I have to let people in my life
you know what I mean like if I had the I had the gateway to like hit the road and probably
chase social media when I I think get like five million views or 15 I don't know how many a lot
but I had I had the opportunity then kind of like you're foot in the door you're in the
algorithm you can kind of start you start pumping out fucking um but my whole mindset was like
How are you going to like, I want to help people that are on the path that I was on, you know what I mean?
That, or that are getting out and are just like, bro, what do I do?
You don't know what I mean?
I can't tell me people I come across are like, how?
You know what I mean?
Like, how do you stay out?
Because they're truly stuck in a cycle, bro.
You know what I mean?
So it's, I forgot where I was going.
That's the ADD.
See how it works?
It's just like, bl-l-l-l-l-l-da-l-da-da-da-f.
What did you end up going to prison for?
Uh, burglary.
Um, mine was all, mine was all just drinking and zana, you know what I mean?
Mine was, the crazy about the, the system is, I don't know how you feel.
My system in Florida is broke, bro.
It is a broke, broke system.
Um, like, I always had a drug problem.
I didn't have a breaking in problem.
You know what I mean?
I didn't crave to break in to a house.
You know what I mean?
I craved the drugs.
You know what I craved, you know, I wasn't working, you know, but I was living the bar life.
and doing coke and pills and this, that, and the other, you know what I mean?
So, like, no one ever, none of the courts ever asked, you know,
do you, should we send them to rehab?
Should we give them counseling?
Should we do this or that?
It was always just fucking pick them up and bam them on its head.
And so I got, and I had a record, don't get me wrong.
Like, I had a record, bro.
I had a juvenile record.
I went to JET camp for two years, right?
And then only made it nine months.
and then was right back in front of the same judge,
and she was a female,
and she was not nice.
I'll never forget this bitch's name,
Judge Centerfed.
Judge CenterFed, if you see this,
still don't like you.
Dude, yeah, she didn't, no, she didn't play.
So, like, that whole, like, white privilege card,
dude, mine was, got voided at birth,
because, dude, every fucking time I ended up in front of a judge, bro.
It was like, can they do that?
You know what I mean?
So the last time, like, you know, I went to a jet camp and I made it out of that two years.
And I got, I actually got five years the second time, but I ran.
Yeah.
So I got like the night before court and I was just thinking like, I'm going to prison for five years tomorrow.
Like I just did two years.
I'm going for five now, bro.
You know, I do this, bro.
So I had a buddy, my best friend lived in Oregon
at University of Oregon and Eugene
And I was like, yo, bro
They're trying to get me
He's like, what?
They're trying to send me in prison for five this time
He was like, damn
And I was like, can I, you know
He's like, come on, bro
You got on the couch, man
And I was like, I'm on
I took a Greyhound
From Florida to Eugene Oregon, bro
Was the worst experience of my life, bro
The most ratchet ride
I've ever experienced
So, like, three days of just pain and uncomfortable seats.
But when I got back, I was on bond.
So, like, they were threatening my mom and this, that, and another.
And I got pulled over, and I was trying to lie.
I was just like, man.
You know what I mean?
It's just like, dude, I'm going to have to face this shit.
Like, I don't know how to bond, how hardcore they actually go.
Like, I don't want my parents lose their shit.
You know what I mean?
Or whatever's going to happen.
So I sold him and they extradited, bro, they extraditing me from, I stood in front of a judge in Eugene Oregon, bro, and he said, Mr. Champion, you're here for burglary and Jacksonville, Florida.
And he was like, huh.
He's like, okay, hold on.
He's like, so listen, this is what I'm going to do.
I'm supposed to give them 60 days extradition.
I'm cutting into 30.
They're not coming to get you.
They're not here in 30.
I need you out of my jail, not holding up.
fucking space.
So I'm like,
bet.
You know what I mean?
He just cut the time in half.
I'm almost positive.
The way the judge saw it,
he's like,
they are not coming to get you.
So for that.
I was like,
man,
I bet.
I get to day 30,
the last day,
they call my name.
And everyone's like,
oh,
you made it.
I'm like,
I'm like,
I made it all.
And I get down there,
they're giving my clothes,
and they're like,
giving my sweatshirt.
And they're like,
yo,
Don't put your sweatshirt on.
And I'm like, why?
And they're like, I don't know how they're going to shackle you.
I'm like, what, shackle me?
And they're like, yeah, yeah.
And I'm like, shackle me for what?
And they're like, what do you think you're doing?
I was like, I'm getting out.
I don't know.
I'm bonded out or like, like, I'm kicked out or something.
I'm like, no, man.
There's two detectives from Florida here to get you.
And I'm like, you got to be shitting me.
And I get in there and they look and they said, you're
a little bit of you, Mr. Champion.
I said, yeah.
And I was already getting this look like, you,
Dude fuckers.
I was about to go be a fucking cat,
like a crab fisherman in Alaska was my next fucking,
you know what I mean?
Like just go join the deadliest catch or something,
you know what I mean?
And so the first thing they said was like,
yeah, we got it last night.
They were like, you thought you was out.
I didn't.
I was like, no, I thought I was gone.
And so they're like, no,
dude, Florida,
it blew my mind,
the amount of money they spent to come pick me up
for a burger.
They paid two detectives who were probably like off-duty homicide detectives because they, you know, once again, one was like a six-foot-four big black detectives like, you run, bitch, I'm shooting you in the back. Do not fucking run. Do not fuck with me. I don't want, you know what I mean? And I'm like, who do y'all think, like, come on, bro. I'm just a literally a 20, like, what was that at the time, 21-year-old fucking white kid from the beach, man. I'm in sand, like, you know what I mean? Come on, bro.
How do you compare Florida prison to Jamaica?
Oh, man, I'd say, man, dude, that's a good question.
Because, like, you got the heat of Florida prison with no AC.
And that 10-year sentence, bro, there ain't no AC in that work camp.
And, like, in Florida, they don't, if you got 20 years, most likely to, if you're not, like, super violent, you're going to a work camp.
You know what I mean?
And like I went to a place called Mayo Correctional, like mayo and mustard.
That was the name of M-A-Y-O, Mayo.
And so I guess that's all it's out there is just the prison and dollar gentriles.
You know what I mean?
That's it.
And so everyone's employed by the prison.
But so you can work out the gate with a long sentence.
They don't get to fuck.
Where are you going, bro?
You know what I mean?
Where are you going to swim down the Swanee like for a hundred miles?
Like you're not going nowhere.
And then everyone that lives there.
as officers, all the girls you see around town
when you're working, it's either officer's daughter
or cut, you know what I mean?
So you, yeah, yeah,
don't, they know like,
who's, all that, no.
So,
definitely, I'd probably,
dude, it's close. I'd say trauma-wise
and, like, mentally,
Jamaica to get through.
But, like,
heat, well, that fucking Florida heat in prison,
that made you rethink life.
A lot of things about,
that dude I don't know how you all do it up here okay so this is I'm gonna get real is this the
camera okay so I'm gonna get real with how shit really goes all right so I don't know how they do it
up here but when you get to so we go to Lake Butler which is like a Florida
Florida reception medical center which is like quite the same thing you go through um you know
medical and that's like the hospital you go if you got cancer or you know a lot of people
or dying there or transferring to other prisons like a hub.
So, dude, we get there and somehow this didn't happen at J-Camp the first time.
So it's not ready for this.
You get there, dude.
And they're screaming.
Oh, yes, all right.
They're screaming, you know, not the fucking butt.
And you're like, what?
And, you know, you're marching in a line and like, it's go time, bro.
You know what I mean?
They're in your face.
We're fucking, and this is my second time.
So I already feel like just a total loser.
You know what I mean?
Like, dude, I am right back in prison again, dude.
This time with 10.
And so did you get butt naked, bro?
And there's a reason why it's called nut to butt at Lake Butler,
because you get your nuts line up the homeboy.
I mean, dude, you can't be like if someone fucks up, you know what I mean?
People are bumping into people's shit.
Like, you know what I mean?
it's it's you get humbled quick day one you're like okay like I told you there's dude there's levels
to rock bottom for sure you know what I mean when I was it when they gave me their 10 that was rock
bottom you know what I mean and then this is like okay this is this is too this is way worse than
what I thought it was going to be and then uh then that's not bad enough right because I don't
know how many people in your situation have you you know how you have to cough and squat and cough yeah
So I don't know how many people
My whole 10 years
Not one person ever coughed
And some shit fell out of their asshole
Not well you know what I'm saying
Like I often wonder how we like got that rule
Like someone just have a really loose asshole
You know what I mean
It was just like ah ha
And like the phone fell out
You know what I mean
And like that was just chocked up to someone having
A fucking no breaks or a loose asshole
You know what I mean?
Like I've never met anybody that you just like
Cough and you hear shit falling out every day
because when they took cigarettes out of the Florida prison,
bro,
people started sticking shit in their ass like fucking clockwork, bro.
It was wild.
Because like before, people,
you did be a little weed or a little K2 come in
and Word Camp's a little more sketchy
because it's so small.
You know what I mean?
So like everything's kind of in the open.
It's a lot, you know what I mean?
Very easy to get snitched on.
So it's, uh, dude.
it's it's wild on 10 years how much time do you serve 85% on that in Florida I want to say
Texas and I don't know what California is but those three idiots always follow suit you know what
I mean so 85% which gives nobody the incentive to do good right no one's like all right so
here's the option, right?
You want me to act good, so I get out a year and a half early.
Well, when you get the year six or seven, you've gone this far.
If it comes to a point where like, I don't want to lose my game time, you know what I mean?
Like, I've done six years.
I'll fucking do this other year and a half fucking naked.
You know what I mean?
And outside, like, it's going to be nothing.
It's just crazy.
Like 85% is like no incentive for no.
And they wonder, especially Florida, are the ones that do it.
Like Florida's wild, bro.
Like, I don't know about, like, up here.
And, like, I know it's kind of segregated as soon as you get in, like, up in some of the northern prisons.
Like, if you're white, you go with the white boys, chicos go to the chico.
You know what I mean?
Or at least that's what I've kind of come to understand.
Like, Florida's wild wild west.
You know what I mean?
Like, it's, you know, it's just, if you combine your business and not gamble and not, you know what I mean, you can, it's not going to be no pressure.
But as soon as you start trying to get affiliate.
or fucking, you know what I mean,
gambling and not minding your business,
the main one,
you know,
Florida is kind of like the Wild Wild West, bro.
It's,
it was never like,
you got,
you got to get in and pick a side.
You know what I mean?
It was just like,
keep your fucking head down.
You know what I mean?
How old are you when you got out of prison?
32.
How have you been able to rebuild your life since?
This,
well,
dude,
life is,
beautiful. I still almost don't feel deserving of like what I get, what's become of my life.
So like when I got out, work really, I went to work release. I was able to work at work. I was able to work two jobs during work release.
I would wake up, do irrigation all day. Fucking bust ass in the floor to heat, do irrigation. And then at four o'clock, I'd go, you're going to love this.
I'd worked for every fucking convict that does a decade
when we want to work.
I worked at Hooters at night
right across from the Daytona International Speedway.
So like I said, I always just kind of fell into these cool jobs
and not because like, I don't know,
just really because I just vibes, you know what I mean?
Like even in the shittiest circumstances,
like me and you were locked up, you know what I mean?
Like we're going to have.
fun bro we're gonna please have you know what i mean we're gonna crack jokes dude we're gonna prank you know what i mean
like i would we would always be rolling late night you know what i mean i might come sneak over
do your bed and be on the you know on the floor like just telling war stories you know what's
talking about uh waiting for the guard you know so like i always had what i don't know like
i don't want to say like the popular group in prison you know what i mean but like i always just
um everyone that had like cool shit or like i kind of was in my
group. I don't know how I'm trying to say this, I guess, that I was kind of in the popular
groups, but just because I'm more like I was very easy to get along with, I buy, you know what
man? I wasn't, I don't know bullshit, dude. I just listen, I want to get in my time. We can eat
good, bro, we can tell jokes, you know what I mean? If we got a bump, we're bumping,
you know what I mean? So, but I don't know, the same thing. I forgot where that was going.
Oh, rebuilding your life. Oh, yeah, yeah. I got the job at Hooters. And, and, I don't know, I'm
And that's where I met my wife, which at first we, she didn't really fuck with me.
Like, she had questions.
Like, all the girls, you know what I mean?
Like, we'd come to the window.
And, of course, like, oh, my God, Pat, what did you deal?
You know what I mean?
Like, they're just so curious because, like, a convict.
And fun fact, for people at home, like, a lot of restaurants in your city, most likely if there's a prison in your city, dude, your kitchen.
at a lot of these restaurants or probably mostly, mostly prisoners.
Like in Florida, a lot of them are, you know what I mean?
At one point, I think we had like one dude on the line that was not a prisoner that worked at Hooters.
So I ended up meeting my wife.
She got kind of interested and was like, you know, why don't know, she said, get Facebook, you know what I mean?
I was like, no.
And then I was like, yeah.
And I told I was like, you can't like, it's a different.
It's not my name because, you know, you can't have a Facebook at work.
Like, it's just.
I'm still not free yet
you know what I mean
so we kind of started talking
and she rolled the dice on me man
and that has stuck by
stuck by my now we've been through it for sure bro
it's been and I don't want anybody
get the impression that
when you like it's easy
you know what I mean like I have a beautiful
wife I have a good paying job
our career I have a beautiful daughter
we live out in the middle of fucking nowhere
with property, you know what I mean, we're on property.
It's not easy.
And I think that's where, like, I want to start, like, my goal after I start driving,
I only going to drive for some of the more years now.
And then, like, my next goal is I would love to start speaking, you know.
And especially, you know, to high school kids too, you know what I mean?
Because, like, listen, a lot of kids roll around thinking like, you know,
dude, I was the popular cool kid.
You don't know what I mean?
Like, my parents had money too.
You know what I mean?
My parents drove them Mercedes.
My parents were on the water.
You know what I mean?
All that.
By no means why I supposed to end up in prison.
Do you know what I mean?
And, you know, I just want people to realize, bro,
you're especially now today's with justice,
the way the system works,
you're one fuck up, dude.
I'm like, you could seriously fuck your life up.
You know what I mean?
Especially now, today's generation, bro,
wild, you know what I mean?
And it's just like, you don't, I can't tell you
how many people I've met in prison
who got fucked up, got in a car, drove,
didn't even cause the wreck.
You know, we're sitting at a red light
and got obliterated.
And now they're doing 10 years, 15 years
for manslaughter because they were under the influence.
They didn't even do shit.
But you were still, you still made a fucking stupid decision.
You know what I mean?
So after, you know,
that's one of my big goals to do is I really want
to help.
people get to get through what they're going through if they're going through what
shit we've gone through or the other part of it is helping people reestablish their life
because a lot of these dudes have no clear what's about to hit them like you think the hard part
is getting is getting through the sentence right like oh the hard part's over no no no no
bitch that's the easiest part going through prison no no no no no this is like this is
where people legit say fuck it I want to
go back to prison. You know what I mean? Because they forget so many years like I got rent.
I got responsibilities. I got people that count on me now. You know what I mean? It's just like,
and that way can get real heavy. You know what I mean? Especially if you're institutionalized or like
you're just not prepared. Dude, I was not prepared. You know what I mean? I think getting sentenced to
say like a halfway house is a stricter punishment than prison. Yeah. Like a straight, you're,
you got to live at that halfway house and you got to work. And if you don't, you go to prison.
Yeah, if you get caught with that, get re-arrested or anything, you go to prison.
Yeah, and like, dude, not to say like I tell you, bro, right now looking at the story I tell you right now,
I'm a father, I'm a fantastic father, dude.
I got a beautiful wife who was literally my best friend and is stuck by my side,
literally since I can't say day one and I went to prison, but, you know, you know, the last day,
you know, the last six months of my sentence,
dude she didn't have to roll a dog
dude she met I was washing dishes
with a fucking cube on my ankle
and a thing that just kept going
be be be be be be be and I'd be like yeah
and they're like you still at work
like yeah they're still at work you know what I mean
to do my own horn bro but like
to spit game in that situation
you know what I mean like I was like
okay I still got it dude
like once I got a number I was like
fuck yeah you know I was like damn
but yeah I just you know
I don't want people to think that like
you just get out and this shit's going to be easy.
You know what I mean?
Like I fell so hard on my face.
And this is where I could probably get emotional.
Because I, like, when I first got out and got with my wife,
being alone was hard for me, bro.
Like, I would, like, my wife would be at work.
And I would just literally be in the apartment and just be like,
you know, and you're used to fucking just 80 people in a dorm.
You know what I mean?
chaos, chess, spades, smoking K2, fucking, uh-oh, chasing some of the lock and aside,
you know what I mean?
Like, just mayhem constantly, 24-7, you know what I mean?
To, like, just quietness and, like, I don't know what to do.
Like, you know what I mean?
Like, I don't know what to do with my, like, I don't know what to do with my hands.
I don't know what, like, I don't know what to do.
I just sit here.
You know what I mean?
Like, I just fucking sit here.
Um, and it didn't take long before I was, like, I got back.
I got hooked on dope.
And, you know, I was smoking weed and drinking.
But it only took that one.
Dude, and I was the one, I've never done heroin, never fucking touched it.
Like all the war stories, you know what I mean?
I'm like, man, I ain't never doing that shit.
You know what I mean?
You hear just the crazy shit people do.
And I'll never forget, I was doing tree work.
And a dude gave me, paid me in cash and a little baggie, and it was white powder.
and I
assumed it was Coke
and see this is why
when you get out
you need to have a support structure
like I shouldn't ever been
in that fucking situation
you know what I mean
I should have had
I should have been working with somebody
that I've been like
yo bro
you know what I mean
hold me accountable
you know what I mean
because I'm fresh out
you can tell yourself
you're ready all you want
you know what I mean
but it's a lot harder
when you know
you're in that situation
and you haven't
mentally prepared yourself
especially if you spent your whole time bullshitting
and not like literally bettering yourself
you know what I mean
so I took one little bump with that dude
and found out real quick it was not cocaine
and I'll never forget it was clear as day bro
I remember thinking
I called the guy and was like yo what the fuck
what is this you know I mean he's like oh that's boy
and I was like oh shit
my first thought bro
which was I thought I should have was like
this shit's not even that bad
like you know what I mean like I have a bad
like my back is ruined so I was like
man I'm ready to cut some trees down
like you know what I mean my pain's gone
like I just got done working to shift cut in
I'm ready to clock back in baby you know what I mean like
and so that that was dude
it was a wrap
and I was functional like nobody knew
mom didn't know sister didn't know
wife didn't know nobody knew
I go to work pay my bills
do my shit
But the quietness, bro, was fucking me up.
Like, just being at home.
My wife worked at nights most nights.
So I'd get off work and come home.
And then it's just quiet.
You know what I mean?
And with, you know, the way my brain works.
It's hard for me to remember sometimes what we're talking about.
If I talk too long, I'm like, wait, what?
So I was, I was, I'd say like six months I was doing it to where, like, my wife was starting to be like, like, yo, bitch.
like we split the bills so i know what you make a week right cutting trees i was making like
six 700 bucks a week fresh out of prison so i wasn't had like do two jobs and uh she was like
well she knew something but i also was getting to a point like where i that 10 years
got me to where like i'm so self-aware now you know what i mean of my own fucking shit like i was
I was on it, you know what I mean?
Like, okay, dude, you know what I mean?
Like, you know, like, you've got to, like, it's got to stop.
Like, because you know where it leads, you don't what I mean?
I know where it leads.
This time I might not lead to prison.
This time I might not make it.
I might not get lucky to make it to prison.
You know what I mean?
And we all know if it's not prison, where the other, you know what I mean?
It's prison or the great, you know what I mean?
It's just two options, bro.
And they're not saying you might be one of the lucky ones.
But eventually, if you're going to live that life, dude, you can't.
It's going to catch.
you know what I mean and so I got to a point right to my wife I came clean one night and I was like
listen I've been doing heroin of course she was like no shit and I didn't know it was heroin
but like I knew it was something you know what I mean like you know it wasn't you can't really tell
because you're so good at going to work and you know busting your ass you can't really tell
but it let's keep hitting that dude I'm so sorry um so that was that was that was
That was rough.
I didn't go to rehab.
I locked myself in a room.
And fucking, my wife.
Fuck.
Um,
she didn't have to, like, stick by me, bro.
You know what I mean?
No.
Because you took a chance in the first place.
You know what I mean?
Like, bitch, you're washing dishes and on ankle monitor.
You know what I mean?
Um.
But that's why it's so important, man.
to not judge people off, like, what they got going on.
And so, I'm so thankful that she took that chance.
You know what I mean?
Because she's part of the story.
Like, she's the main part of the...
She's the key to the puzzle, bro.
You know what I mean?
Like, I'm, you know, it's, like...
She is the key to, like, yeah, I bust my ass.
You know what I mean?
I make it happen, but, like, she is...
She's the one that, like, is there just supporting, you know what I mean, is holding the floor down and who's given me and my daughter.
You know what I mean?
But so, yeah, man, don't judge people off their situation, man.
Because, God, dude, I mean, if my wife would have done that and just been like, like, like, bitch, I know you ain't got no money.
You know what I mean?
A prison man picks you up every night to go back.
Like, don't try to holler at me.
Like, that's what I was expecting.
You know what I mean?
like okay
nice try
but that's not
you know
luckily she
she rolled the dice
and so
sometimes you got to roll
the dice
you know
and so I'm very blessed
for that
very blessed
the way it's turned out
that I made it
through some of that stuff
but after the
after the heroin
bullshit
I just
it was I couldn't do
it was like
that was so close
like you know what I mean
you
I was in a brand new Corvette, bro,
and I was about to go wrong way on the on ramp on 90 flag.
You know what I mean?
I was like, yeah!
Yeah, I was like, dude, you better fucking,
so, you know, I'm so thankful.
So, baby, I love you.
That's my, that's my, that's my,
a lot of people ask, like, bro, how do you, you know,
like, how do you, you know, you got a family,
you got a good job, you know, I'm like,
good woman, bro.
Like, if I can tell you one thing,
it finds you a good woman.
You know what I mean?
Like, my wife don't boss me around her that shit,
you know what I mean?
But she's got my best interest.
I could say 100% at her.
And sometimes I don't like to hit the shit.
I'm like, you know what I mean?
But, like, she loves me so much
that she's the only one that will keep it 100.
You know what I mean?
So I'm very lucky to be where I'm at, man.
And make it through addiction and shit.
Well, Patrick, I appreciate you coming on the show.
show today.
Yeah, man.
I appreciate it.
Yeah, you did great, man.
Killer.
Dude, I, like you, you're killing it.
I love, I love seeing, like, and dude, it's dope that I get pulled over on the way here.
And I tell the coffee and he's like, boy, I've seen it.
I watched that.
You know what I mean?
So, dude, it's, I love it.
I'm proud of you, bro.
You're crushing it too, man.
I'm proud of you too, man.
And, yeah, I'm thinking about, I don't know, you know, I want, I think the Jamaica's
stories wild, you know?
So,
uh,
this was the first time like,
like I came to like,
like talk about Jamaica or whatever.
Oh,
and I will tell you this too before like,
like it got shut down and I couldn't find much on it.
I did find a little bit,
but like it got shut down because they were,
they refused to give like somebody back and like Hillary,
of all fucking people,
bro, Hillary Clinton got involved with it and was like,
had to get involved in lawyers and all this.
Because like I was telling you, bro,
if the money's flowing,
You know what I mean?
They're like, you're not, you know what I mean?
So I guess, allegedly they were like not returning.
You know what I mean?
And then that's when, you know, the flood works.
But I know multiple people that try to, like, file lawsuits and could never get nothing.
So I'm thinking about I'm going to write a book on it sometime with my brain, you know what I mean?
But, you know, I appreciate your time, dude.
Good shit.
Yeah, I love it, man.
Yeah.
And who knows, maybe I'll come back with a.
five, ten years, you know, I'll have a book and be like a bestseller or some shit.
I'm rude for you.
Or I'll be talking to people.
So, you know, that's the ultimate goal, man, is we've gone through what we've gone through for a reason.
You know what I mean?
And like I was just telling my wife before I came up here, right?
I'm a man of faith.
I'm a Christian.
I'm new to all of it, right?
Don't be wrong.
I'm a new.
I mean, I might be going to the south side of heaven.
I don't know, you know what I mean?
So, but I got still working on my swearing.
I try to better myself every day.
You know what I mean?
And all I can say is that, like, I wouldn't be doing the world of service if everything I went through, right?
And I made it through the struggle.
You made it up out the mud, all that shit, right, to just keep it to yourself.
and then you see fucking people struggling, right?
And it's just going to be emotional talking about.
You see people struggling, right?
And then like, you just, you got the, like, I have the, I have some of the keys to the recipe, right?
Maybe you got some keys to a different recipe, but right, all of them are keys that, like, dude, some of these dudes, they've been down for so long, bro.
And it's not, like, they're jumping out and, like, Wi-Fi.
What the fuck is Wi-Fi?
You know what I mean?
Like, they don't know, like, phones.
like technology AI
like AI is gonna do
AI is some of these dudes are gonna
follow up with AI and be
so walking on point you don't mean on porn
and shit and not know what type
of path you know what I mean so it's just like
I think that's my mission so
I think that my next
my next route is try to
get I know because I've seen you go back
to prisons too yeah it's very fulfilling
yeah so I think that's my next
my first thing was coming here,
mostly healing myself talking about the shit,
and then, you know,
I want to get out there and help others, man.
Because you don't have to be part of the statistic.
The statistic is wild.
Like for people that get out and reoffend
within the first year,
like in Florida, it's in the 80%.
Like, it's wild.
And it's just designed because you're not,
if you don't have structure,
whether that be your parents,
your family, your wife, your girl,
someone that gives a fuck about you, you know what I mean,
and can keep you in check.
Dude, it's a hard system to find it.
Dude, it's hard to get up out of it.
You know what I mean?
So I'll leave you all with that is, you know, don't give up.
And if you have a story, the only way we get better,
the only way we stop fucking bickering, fighting is I share my pain.
You share your pain.
You share your pain.
You share your pain.
she shares her pain to other people that have the same fucking pain.
So then we all don't feel so much fucking pain.
You know what I mean?
And maybe we wouldn't be so much fucking hate, dude.
But I appreciate it, brother.
Yeah, I appreciate you, brother.
Yeah, I love you, man.
Yeah, you too and safe travels back.
Yes, sir, man.
