Starting point is 00:00:00 For me to be a Crip is community revolution in progress. So I'm already someone who stands on business from our community protection, um, contributing, you know. So as a Crip, that's the basis. That's the meaning of Crip. Community Revolution and Progress. All that super just gangbanging shit. That's not what it's about.
Starting point is 00:00:18 Yeah, we're going to stand on business and defend the honor of Crip. I'm saying we're not going to allow anybody to disrespect Cripping, period. That's Cash Carter. He became a Crip at just eight years old. and has carried that identity for more than 20 years. It took him from the streets of Harlem to juvenile detention, Rikers Island, and multiple stints in New York State Prison. Today, he's breaking down what being a Crip really looks like
Starting point is 00:00:42 from someone who has lived it most of his life. I grew up in New York City, Roosevelt, to be exact. I mean, originally, low east side. I moved to Roosevelt when I was five years old, and I've been there, 2014. I'm still there. me, my family day, but I live in the Bronx now. What was your upbringing like, your childhood? Okay.
Starting point is 00:01:11 Growing up, well, growing up in Rose Violin, like, amazing. You play sports, baseball, basketball, football. I was raised by my grandmother, you know, a whole bunch of cousins and things like that. Upbring was wild. I mean, to be honest, you know, like, it wasn't the best, but it definitely wasn't the worst. I mean, I had a good upbringing and things like that. I mean, a lot of fun. Where was your mom and dad?
Starting point is 00:01:34 My mom, she was around, but, you know, drugs and me got into, so she's around. You feel me? Like, she just passed away 2023. God bless her. My pops, I don't know that, nigga. You never met him once? No. Did your mom ever tell you about him?
Starting point is 00:01:49 Nah, she was my mother and my father. And your grandma was that your dad's mom? No, my foster mother. Oh, okay. Yeah. So she wasn't your grandma by blood? No, no. So you ended up going into a foster home?
Starting point is 00:02:02 Yeah. How old are you? you when that? Five. Yeah, five years old. And then she adopted you? Yeah, when I was about probably like 10, 11. And what did she do for work? With my grandmother? Yeah. By that time, she's already retired. Yeah, but she used to, she, grandma always bragged about what, working for, for the white folks. And I mean, like, she used to clean their craze, shit like that, take care of the children, things like that. Like, she's from the South. I mean, so that's what she used to always brag about.
Starting point is 00:02:33 And you had no other relatives that could take you in? No. Mm-mm. Not, my mom, she don't have any sisters, no brothers. Like, we got distanced on his uncles from her mother's side, but they're distant. How'd that make you feel, knowing that your mom was battling addiction? Growing up, embarrassed, annoyed, upset, of course, and shit like that. Once I, boom, let me see, when it really started bothering me, I was probably like eight, eight, eight, nine, I had moved back with my mom's from Roosevelt.
Starting point is 00:03:15 I got kicked out of school, Roosevelt Island, moved back with my mom's to Loisa. And she was doing good and she relapsed, me. And then when certain shit started going missing, PS2s and shit like that, like, oh, what is my shit? I, I mean, I'm eight years old, but I was always the man of the house. Me like, my mom told me I was a man in the house since four years old, so I've always led with that. So once my PS2 started going, missing game boys, my little brother things, like, all right, it's some bullshit now. So now I'm getting tight then. One time my mom, she had got got into a domestic issue with one of my baby brothers.
Starting point is 00:03:58 One of my little brother's fathers, he wasn't born at the time. So it was just a boyfriend. I guess she cut him or something like that. She did 30 days on Rikers Island. So now my mother's mother, she suffers from like schizophrenia and things like that. So they didn't take us to force a kid because she was a adult, whatever. She was a guardian, but she wasn't gardeners. I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:04:24 Like I had to go to Pathmark, pack bags for me, and I learned how to cook 8 years old for my little brother and me. So this is what was going on for 30 days. I mean, thank God it was in summertime. We ain't had school and shit. But this is what was going on for me. So I had to step up, you know. Does that feel like a lot of pressure?
Starting point is 00:04:42 No. No. But, of course, you think about it now, it's like, you feel me? That shit fell on me. So, of course, it was pressure. But, you know, it wasn't pressure at that time. How would you have described yourself as a kid? As a kid.
Starting point is 00:05:00 Wild, fun. Which is wild fun kid. I mean, I was a wild fun kid. Like, yeah, I was a wild fun kid. Wild in a bad way or a good way? See, my wildness is recklessness, and it's not recklessness in a negative standpoint. Like, my recklessness comes from,
Starting point is 00:05:33 I'm going to do things that others is not going to do, you know? So bravery, boldness, a lot of courage, so things like that. That was my wildness, recklessness. 8 years old, I'm outside, 12, midnight like it's regular, for me. 8 years old, chilling with 17-year-olds, 18-olds, things like that. 8-year-old, I was already crib, you know, like. When I moved back to Loisa, Loisai was blood.
Starting point is 00:05:57 I'm a little kid running around cripping. You know, like, so that was some reckless wild shit, you know. I'm smoking at 8, gambling, shoe and dice at 8 years old. I mean, wild shit, the normal kid was not doing while a kid's sleeping. I'm doing whatever, you, for me? How do you become a Crip at 8 years old? How I became a Crip at 8 years old. I became a Crip due to the fascination of, all right, my favorite color is blue, I mean,
Starting point is 00:06:27 and I can go back memory into when I became fascinated, like seeing Snoop Dog, I mean, Crip walking and shit like that. And I used to always tell my mom's, like, yo, get me like, like, Blue Band. and Dan is and shit like that. Give me blue, do rags. My favorite color's blue. So I've never attached, was attached with red. Like, I never liked that color.
Starting point is 00:06:50 And I remember one time before I moved back to Loiside, I want to say he was about 2004. My cousin, he was already crick. I mean, and he broke it down to me one day. I remember like it was yesterday. He was in a laundry mat. And he like, oh, like, if you used to ever turn a game, like, don't turn blood for these specific reasons. And if you were turned crypt, like, this is the reason why you would turn crick. So that always stuck with me.
Starting point is 00:07:18 And then on top of that, you know, I'm sure you remember the news back when the blood used to be cutting women and shit like that. Never respecting those shit like that. I mean, can never respect that. So I would never have even followed that path, you know. So when I end up moving back to Loisad, it was already stuck in my mind. Like, if I was to have a beast, I'm going to be so I'm going to be cripp. I'm ready, me run around. Yeah, I'm Cripped.
Starting point is 00:07:44 So when I'm out there, I'm Crip and Crip. I wasn't official Crip. You know, I'm just jacking. I ain't know no set. I just knew I was Crip, period. It wasn't until I moved back to my block, 05, 6s that I became, I fell under a set now. I mean, my big homeboys, they moved over there, and then, you know, we fell in line, shit like that. What did it mean for you to be a Crip?
Starting point is 00:08:08 For me to be a Crip is literally like, community revolution in progress. So I'm already someone who stands on business from our community protection, things like that, contribute, you know. So as a Crip, that's the basis. That's the meaning of Crip. Community Revolution and Progress. All that super just gang banging shit.
Starting point is 00:08:32 That's not what it's about. Yeah, we're going to stand on business and defend the honor of Crip. I'm saying we're not going to allow anybody to disrespect Cripping, period. It starts for me, for my block. It started with my block. So we're going to protect this, this fourth down, hold us fort down the best that we can. This is a blue, I'm saying, blue town.
Starting point is 00:08:56 Back then when I first came up, you know, the whole New York City was blood. It was still, everybody was still trying to go off, like, California ways of the gang banging, but this is New York to East Coast. All right, whatever. We bang in Crips versus Bloods. So that's what it was for me.
Starting point is 00:09:16 Like, I mean, we're smashing them because they're going to smash us. And just in the beginning of it, it was just straight Crip Love. I mean, I ain't have no issues with Crips. I mean, it wasn't a lot of busted shit that's going on now where you got Crips acting like bloods and bloods acting like Crips, a whole bunch of bullshit that's happening now. It wasn't that when I first came about. So I got, what, 21sts. years Cripping there. I've been Crips. I was eight years old. I'm about to be 30 on the 25th. Crypt for me now is not the same Crip that it was, I'm saying years ago. I don't even love this shit to say no more.
Starting point is 00:09:56 But I'm an honorable Crip. I'm a die Crip. I don't mean that just because I'm a die Crip, don't mean that I got to be out there acting a fool like I'm a kid again or saying I'm blood killer. I'm saying, niggas know what's up, like, once upon time my life, heavy blood kill, like, I'm off that shit now, you feel me? Ever since I went to prison the first time, who helped me down? Bloods, you feel me? Like, making sure I had food to eat, shit like that, like, bloods help me down. So, how could, I could, how could I say I'm a super blood killer when blood niggas is the ones that help me down?
Starting point is 00:10:37 How many bloods did I save in life? You feel me? So once I started maturing and things like that and realizing every blood is not my enemy, things became a little better in life. So why do you think it's instilled, you know, especially as a kid in your story to heat bloods when you're young, you know,
Starting point is 00:10:59 going back in time? Because that was the nature. That was the history. So if I turned Crip in the early 2000s and Crip been out since, the 60s and the blood and crib beefing been going on since the 70s, that's already in our history, you know? So all it did was just fall down and trickled down.
Starting point is 00:11:23 So once I became this, this is a part of my rules, my codes of conducts and things like that, like, you know? What's it like on the streets now? Is it still that? Nah. I can't say that, I mean, I can't say no. I'm from New York. You got to always make sure that's clear.
Starting point is 00:11:43 I'm from New York. How New York is, it's more so block hood beef. So you can be cripping blood from the same area and possibly be beefing with other crips and bloods, you know, compared to a different state where that whole area just might be cripe and they beefing with the next area that's blood. So it might be some cripping blood beef. So if I was to have beef with blood, it's not because they're blood.
Starting point is 00:12:17 They happen to be blood. Now, back then, it was, no, because it was blood and I was crick. You had a red flag. I had a blue flag. We don't mix. I'm saying so. What are we doing? Like, we either living, we coexisting, or we not.
Starting point is 00:12:33 Would Crips beef with other Crips back then when you were first coming on? Not in New York. I mean, that wasn't. a big thing. I meet a Crip anywhere. Like, that was my lope right then and there. I could go to his crib. You go to my crib. I mean, I feed him. He feed me. Whatever. That was my brother right then and then. Like, now it's like, I mean, I mean, I just even let a Crip walk past him. Like, it's joking for me. Because I don't, I don't know. I recrypt not my crib. How'd your grandma feel about you becoming a group? She hated it, me. She hated it.
Starting point is 00:13:11 Because it wasn't just me. It was a couple of me and my cousins, me, that was crib. So she used to just be like, you're chilling with them gangbuses. Like, me, my big homeways, they're Spanish. So, like, you're chilling with them Spanish boys down the hall. Like, I mean, you ain't going to listen to me, but you're going to listen to the white man. We didn't understand that at that time. It wasn't until I was up north 2016, and I understood what that meant now.
Starting point is 00:13:37 I'm like, yo, grandma, you know it's so crazy. I'm listening to the white man. Like, I mean, I didn't understand that. I mean, I tried to tell you, like, you're right, I mean. But we was kids, so we didn't want to hear that shit. Like, you know, you don't know what you talk about, grandma. But, you know. Why do you think you didn't listen?
Starting point is 00:13:53 I know you said because you were a kid. I got a living you learn. And it's difficult to listen to someone that's not going through the same things you're going through or living the life that you're living. It's difficult. Even from people like your family. who you know does want your best interest or have your best interest is difficult sometimes. What did teenage you see for the future?
Starting point is 00:14:21 Teenage years, I was ready in jail. I mean, I went to jail at 13. First time I got arrested was 12, but I went away at 13, came 15. So let me see. If I'm going to say, what are the teenage years? I called my case June 3, 2009 when I was 12. So going into that, I'm going into that. to court, so I knew I, probation.
Starting point is 00:14:44 I just thought that I was just going to, you know, excel in school, things like that academically very smart behavior was my downfall. I'm like, I'm going to be a football player. Like, that's what I'm, that's what I'm, I should be a football player. But things ain't go as playing. What was that case you caught? The first one, um, burglary. And when I was 12, got eight months probation for that in, um, October of 2010.
Starting point is 00:15:11 These clowns violated me in June of, no, excuse me, of 09 October, I got the probation 12 months. In June, 2010, they violated me. They sentenced me to 18 months, juvenile, whatever, and I ended up doing two years out of that because I kept on a fight. I could not get it together. I ain't going to fight. When I was in juvenile, I could not get it together.
Starting point is 00:15:42 like whatsoever, just fighting, fighting, all day long, like, fighting. I mean, like, that's where I should have, I should have literally been a boxer, some shit like that. I mean, just fighting, fighting, fighting. I mean, I was probably like, oh shit, let me see. I went, when they sentenced me to juvenile to 18 months, I went to some non-secure detention,
Starting point is 00:16:07 some shit called Grand Winning. It's like a private OCFS, like that's office of children's family service office. That ACS and you could go there for school. I was there for the juvenile park. I ended up AWOLing from there. I awoled from there. It was in like October.
Starting point is 00:16:26 I already had AWOL. I was brought back on a Friday, and we AWOLed again the next Saturday. That Saturday the next day. We went to a party in the Bronx by Kingsbridge Fordham. One of my bros, he got shot that I AWOLD with. So I go with this nigga to the hospital. and we get arrested.
Starting point is 00:16:47 So now we go to Spalford. We in Sparford a couple weeks. They say that they don't want to take us back to Grand Winner. So now we got to go to real juvenile jail. Well, juvenile prison technically. So we go to the juvenile shit. He go his way, I go my way. I do six months in the first spot.
Starting point is 00:17:08 I did come home to me. I made it home. but the reason why I don't count it, I just say the two years because I went back in in 15 days. Went right back in the juvenile, and then from there, I went back to the same facility for two months, just kept on fighting now.
Starting point is 00:17:26 They're like, you called her, like, listen, we fuck what you called it, like me, but you, you, wilding, like, didn't get it together, got me up out of it, they stepped me up. So that was a non-secure. It didn't have no offenses. They stepped me up to limit, limit it secure. now I got a fence
Starting point is 00:17:42 I'm there for one, two months there I don't know what was going through me it's times when I didn't got restraint
Starting point is 00:17:51 literally 50 times in one restraint like as soon as they lift me up are you good I'll pop on them like it's lit right back down to the ground like
Starting point is 00:18:02 I had popped on on his one dude I had popped on this one dude they tried to get him a concussion and they ship me up out of there, send me to maximum security now. So now this is where you locked in the cell and things like that. And they got more razor wires.
Starting point is 00:18:20 I mean, you can't do much. So now this is the real prison. This is where you see the murderer, the juvenile murderers and the ones with the extreme charges who's been charged as adults and things like that. The ones who, once they turn 21, they're out of it. They're going to real prison. So now I'm in that. And that is, it was just.
Starting point is 00:18:40 It's like that every juvenile step that I went through just literally molded me for the next step of incarceration. I mean, it's literally all the same shit. And it just molds you into the next one. You know, so one from non-secure, no fence. Let me secure. You got one fence. The second one, two fences, and you're locked in a lot, things like that. So now when I went to Rikers Island, I'm already, I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:19:10 in tune with, niggas I was already in juvenile with. It's the same shit. Being locked in the cell ain't about nothing. Like, I was already locked in the juvenile, so now I'm locked in this cell. It really ain't about nothing. Why do you have all this aggression? I've been through a lot, I mean, I've been through a lot. I would say my aggression came from holding in all that pain of dealing with, I'm saying,
Starting point is 00:19:34 my mom's drug addiction. That was a lot of pain that I went through. You know, I got five little brothers, one with the sisters. Like I said, since a kid, I've always been a man, the man of the house and things like that. When I, they go with my grandmother that five, we got a bunch of cousins and things like that, a bunch of cousins. We got uncles, aunts. But it's so many of us, it's difficult to try to focus, you know, and get that love and kid to each individual. So it's like, that was lack, you know, that was lack.
Starting point is 00:20:10 But everybody always asks Why you have all this aggression? I'm aware that I'm very aggressive I'm very aggressive I don't see the aggression Leaving like Not for nothing Because my aggression
Starting point is 00:20:34 I don't use this aggression You know to bully people I hate bullies I hate bullies I'm not a bully I'm not a bully I use a term a man's man when I come in a room or men respect me. You're going to give me respect or I'm going to demand my respect.
Starting point is 00:20:54 I don't want to demand a respect because me demanding my respect, 10 out of 10 is going to end up with violence. I don't want to be violent. Like in this day and age right now, I don't want to be violent. I mean, I already did that. I have nothing to prove being violent anymore. So just forcing me to be violent is basically you trying to, just put me back in the cell.
Starting point is 00:21:18 You know, I've been in there. I mean, I don't want to go back. Most people who ain't really been through shit. And even for something that did go to jail, a lot of people is not that nigger in jail. You cannot do whatever you want. Like, a lot of people who try to do whatever they want the streets. You're not doing that in there.
Starting point is 00:21:38 I'm one of the nicks who's doing whatever he wants. Whenever, however, I don't give a fuck. Who's around me? I'm me. Like, I mean, I'm not. the toughest nigga. I mean, am I no, no bitch. I'm just me. I'm gonna do what I'm respected. And what I do is always the correction. Like, I'm not just doing nothing just because I want to do it. No, I'm thinking about all of us. I mean, collectively, if that's the care, I don't just
Starting point is 00:22:03 think about myself individually, specifically me being crit. I can't just think about myself. I got to think about the others that's around me. So I just like, I just, I don't want to be. be violent. I mean, I don't want to be confrontational. I don't want no conflicts. Anything that can get me back in there, I try to avoid that shit now. So I'm still aggressive. I am trying to work on it and things like that, I mean, but I tell you what, I've worked on my impulsiveness in prison, specifically this bid. From 22 to 26, I worked on my impulsiveness. From 2016 to 2020, I worked on my anger and aggression as far as just getting too hawkish and lashing out. I mean, I can get upset and me and feel bothered.
Starting point is 00:23:01 Now I'm just take a deep breath. I'm going to smile. Like, because only if you knew, you feel me. Like, only if you knew the shit that I can do in an instant, like, in an instant. I just take a deep breath and laugh at it in that because I know. it's not worth it. Do you think prison that first time is what gave you that feeling of having to prove something?
Starting point is 00:23:25 No, I've literally never... What's so crazy is? I've never felt like I had to prove anything to anybody. I've always felt like I've always was proving shit to myself. So I'm gonna give you an example. Since 2012, my big homies used to be telling me, yo, you don't gotta put no more work in. Like, yo, bro, you doing too much. Like, I mean, fuck you're doing.
Starting point is 00:23:54 Like, I mean, you don't bend back and forth to jail. Your name is ringing. Like, nigga, you didn't put in Max painting these streets. Like, you don't got to put in no more work. Just chill out. Like, I didn't get that because I referred that to, like, if I stopped putting in work, I'm saying, being on my ops ass, like, I was pussy. The whole time I was manipulating my own self, I mean. And I didn't understand that until I was 19 on my way up north to prison.
Starting point is 00:24:32 And my son was just born. That's when I'm like, oh, damn. I don't want him to go through none of his bullshit. So I have to somewhat change and things like that. But I knew a change was coming within me when I had got arrested and I started tearing. Never happened before, I mean, and why I started 10, because I'm like, oh, damn, I'm about to miss my son's birth. And I knew, like, all right, if I'm feeling like that, then he's very important, you know, like, and I have to really be mindful and considerate. You know, fuck my life.
Starting point is 00:25:09 Now, it's about his life. You feel me? Now, the robbery that got you arrested the first time, what was that over? Burgerly. To be honest, I was sitting in my. my fucking kitchen getting ready to eat. And I heard, go upstairs. Who is it?
Starting point is 00:25:28 Public safety. What so happened? Open the door like, yo, Mookie. Like, you gotta come with us. Like, come with us. Like, I'm eating. Like, your grandmother here on my ear. So they came downstairs, talk to, like, oh.
Starting point is 00:25:41 And then we got to take him down to the office. Ah, ah. So, and she's like, all right, whatever. They take me to the office. Just Chinese people like, yeah, it was him, man. It was him. It was him.
Starting point is 00:25:53 Look like, but fuck. Like, they take me, put me, when, did they cuff me? I think they cuffed me to the bar. And then by like 12 midnight, I'm going to the precinct and things like that and going to Spalford. And then in the morning I was released by my burglary. Like, I didn't even know what this shit was about. But I didn't know any better.
Starting point is 00:26:18 I didn't know any better at that time and nor did any of my family know any of my family know any better because we would have never just accepted a case and accepted probation. Like, I think about this shit to this day, like, it literally all started there by accepting probation. Wait, you never did it? I did not do that, that first burglary that I got arrested for. I don't know what that shit was about. Like, there's two times where I've been arrested for some shit that I had nothing to do
Starting point is 00:26:49 with that one I was just too young with no knowledge of this legal system and then the second time was
Starting point is 00:27:00 2014 August I got locked up for a robbery me and one of my bros from my block I got up for a robbery
Starting point is 00:27:09 that another bro day for my block you know what I'm saying that's not snitching pussy motherfuckers it's not snitching I'm saying fucking
Starting point is 00:27:17 I get arrested for it I do eight months for it. And the only reason why I fake got off of that is because I told him, they showed me the, the, um, they showed me the camera, the camera footage. And everything I was saying from eight months prior, like, listen, I was at my cousin's house. I mean, at such a such time, it all showed. You see me in an elevator at the same time that this dude is getting, allegedly getting robbed. They tried to say he got raw for a fucking pedal bike, a chain and a watch. I had my own chain and watch at that time.
Starting point is 00:27:56 I ain't no fucking pedal bike at that time. I was driving, I mean? So I'm like, nah, shit is crazy. So I do that, I do eight months. And around an eight-month time, my lawyer, she shows me that this shit. And I'm like, oh, look, it's right here. Oh, that can be someone. someone else she like i might miss that's me look at the tattoos i'll write that i can tell
Starting point is 00:28:23 that's you but look the the person had had on similar clothing i'm like oh the fuck like this is what we wear like it means this is what we're wearing everybody damn they wear the same same clothing the same age bracket so she's like like she's not like accepting that i'm like you know what are we going to trial like you're bugging like i'm going to try like i'm going to try it like i'm going to You clearly see this is not me. Oh, you're not going to trial. What you mean? I'm not going to trial.
Starting point is 00:28:51 I'm going to trial. I'm going to trial. You're not going to trial. If I'm not going to trial, you're fired. Okay, whatever. So they finally called me upstairs to court. And she's like, all right, listen, I got some good news for you. I'm going to trial, man.
Starting point is 00:29:06 She's like, do you want to hear it or what? Like, what? What, what? What's up? What happened? They're willing to offer you time serve. would you take it? I'm like, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:29:19 She's like, stop being stupid. Like, ah, you might as well just take it. And again, I didn't have the knowledge at that time that public defenders, they worked with the prosecutors and things like that. Like, it's you take one and then I take one. So this is what public defenders do. Even pay lawyers.
Starting point is 00:29:40 They give the prosecutor a case, make their client cop. out for some bullshit that they could have gotten beaten because the next one, the prosecutor going to let them get all from saying or get something that's not a high number or something like that. So I didn't really know what's going on that. I really could have took it to trial, but I'm not one of the people that's going to play with my freedom.
Starting point is 00:30:05 So they, eight months? Whatever. I got that time and give me that shit. I didn't feel like I was coming back to jail. You feel I mean? Like, only is why I had to come back and eventually had to come back to gym was because when they let me out,
Starting point is 00:30:22 April 28th, 2015, I went to Florida. And like a couple weeks to me being in Florida, my bros called me from Rikers Island. Like, yo, we just got re-arrested. I'm like, oh, for what? Like, oh, for such and such, such and such. At such and such and such that happened in March, it had got lit, whatever.
Starting point is 00:30:44 Them same with us in apothea that's as a 13th audios. It got lit, me, a couple people got cut and shit like that. So we got re-arrested. I'm like, yo, I'm on a docket list. I'm on a docket number. They're like, yeah, like, you did? I'm, I'm in Florida. Like, oh, I ain't sturdy.
Starting point is 00:31:01 Stay down there. You notified it's gingerbread for me. Like, shit like that. So I was just out the way in me. And I ended up getting booked back in September, then like two months down there and then extra diet back to New York, bailout, et cetera, et cetera for me.
Starting point is 00:31:17 What was your plan in Florida? A new life, or were you just on the run? No, it was for a new life. So when I caught that robbery in 2014, August, I caught it, like I said, my birthday September. I was turning 18. So I had hit up my cousin. Like, for me being in going,
Starting point is 00:31:33 kept on, going back and forth to jail from 2010, 11, 12, 13, 14. When I came, I came from Rikers Island, 2014, January, I had just did a year for a gun charge. So I'm like, yo, shit is not going well right now. The whole time I was home, eight months. I was back into school. When I went away 2013 for the gun charge, I was in 11th grade. When I came back to next year, 2014, these clowns tried to put me in ninth grade.
Starting point is 00:32:05 I'm like, bro, I was in 11th grade when I left here. They're like, oh, we can't find your credits. I'm going to give you out two weeks, I mean. I'm going to give you out two weeks. I'm dropping out two weeks. So I'm in the ninth grade for two weeks. Mind you, I just came from Rikers Island. My way up.
Starting point is 00:32:22 I'm on different type of mentality from ninth graders. These kids are moving like bozos. I'm just in the classroom. What the fuck is going on? I'm having to go through this shit. So the two weeks came up. These nigs wasn't trying to get me out of there. I left.
Starting point is 00:32:39 I found the job at the Empire State Bill. then selling bus tickets and shit like that. I had that job. Then I started working for moving service, two moving companies. I ended up leaving all of that shit and went back to school, probably about a month, a month later, a month later, I went back to school. And they had me in 11th grade. When I ended up getting into a beef down in low east side where I was going to school at,
Starting point is 00:33:10 and that's when I dropped out again. And went to Florida. And no, I mean, I end up getting locked up, came home after the eight months and went to Florida. So when I was going through all the shit, I was going through 2014, dropping out of school, coming back and getting into the beef. And then my mom, she relapsing, she got, getting me arrested for some bullshit. I mean, having me taking out the crib get arrested. As the police said, to teach me a lesson. I mean, I don't know what fucking lesson she was trying to teach me, but I told my cousin,
Starting point is 00:33:49 who was in Florida, like, I want a better life. I'm saying, like, I'm tired of going back and forth to jail. I just want something different. I mean, come down, he's like, oh, when you turn 18, I got a lot of a month before. So when I did come on, I hit him up, like, yo, what's up? Like, I still could come down in? Like, he's like, yeah. So I go to, I get on the bus, April 3rd, excuse me, May 3rd.
Starting point is 00:34:13 I head down, he's like, yo, just hit me when you get, like, to Florida. So once we get to the top of Florida, where it says, welcome to Florida, I call him like, yo, ah, just entered Florida. He's like, yeah, you still got a couple hours. Hit me when you get, like, two hours closer. So I was coming into, like, Fort Lauderd there. I'm calling him. This nigga's not answering.
Starting point is 00:34:32 Blowing his shit up. Blowing his shit up. Not answering. What the fuck? Excuse me. Mind you, the night before, when I was probably somewhere, like, passing through a, Atlanta, my homeboys, I'm saying, tapped in me.
Starting point is 00:34:46 Like, yo, cause, y'all, I see that you on your way to Florida. Like, yo, we down here, ah, ah, yo, tap in. Like, I'm like, set. So, boom, as the homeboy's not tapping in, I mean, excuse me, as my cousin not tapping back in, call the homeboy, yo, yo, yo, cousin, what's I was crying? Like, hey, yo, listen, my, my family, they're not, I'm saying, picking up. I don't know what's going on.
Starting point is 00:35:07 Like, where you at? Like, I believe the next stop is Fort Lord there. He's like, oh, get off there and just wait for me in my eye. bet. So I get off there, wait for in about 20 minutes. You draw me to, it ain't the hood, but it's the neighborhood where a lot of the homeboys was living at it, specifically with a big homeboy who was living at my son, Sosa, free cause too. So, me, the homeboys, we all, I'm saying, chopping it up, whatever. Later on that night, this niggas is not picking up. So I go to a hotel, like, oh, cuz you, I go to a hotel for the night, hopefully you pick up tomorrow.
Starting point is 00:35:42 saying shit now I tap him with the bros early I'm saying picking like 10 a.m. And now I'm with them all day. Get to like 10 o'clock at night again. Because so it's like, yo, Rick, you're not going to no hotel. Like I'm saying, that nigger not picking up. I ain't fucking, whatever. I'm saying. Like, you're with the hallings.
Starting point is 00:36:01 So I went with his little brother, my son, smoked a lot three-oh. I went with him and lived in his mother's crib with his grandmother. in the pops. Like, I'm staying in smoke room on the air matches. I'm saying we did air for four months. Like, and that's my brother, you know, saying. My niggas from Florida, like, a lot of people try to say, oh, like, what does the gang shit do?
Starting point is 00:36:29 They don't, it might not, I'm saying, work for all, I'm saying? You might not see a lot of people benefit from being a participant in any, any game. for some ado, I'm saying? I'm one of the ones who then contributed in many ways that it also benefits back for me, you know? But that also comes from respect. A lot of my members in the streets, I'm saying, have a lot of loving respect for me for being a real stand-up dude, official.
Starting point is 00:37:03 I don't try to class on all gangs and all. I'm just official, you feel me? I got one of the funniest scam texts the other day. The guy texts me pretending to be from some, government agency and tells me I have an outstanding warrant that needs to be handled immediately, which considering my history is probably the one scam that has a chance of getting my attention. So I'm reading it like, wait, what did I do now? Then he tells me that if I don't take care of it immediately, the police are coming to arrest me.
Starting point is 00:37:33 And I'm thinking, buddy, I've actually been arrested by the federal government before. So now what was Rikers like as a teenager and your crib? Because isn't it mainly blood? Yeah, Rikers, see, and then shit like that.
Starting point is 00:39:17 With Rikers, I first went to Rikers 2012, Thanksgiving. That was the first day I went to Rikers Island. Thanksgiving Day, shit almost broke my spirit. I kid you not, when I'm eating turkey out of a fucking bag, me. So boom, my first time on Rikers Island, like I said, it's the same shit. I was in Juvenan. So I know mad, mad niggins are ready at some Rikers Island. Like, it wasn't that many crips.
Starting point is 00:39:43 You had, you had my son Leakey from my hood. He was already there, I'm saying? So being a Crip on Rikers Island back, like, 2012, adolescence. This is the teenagers, 16, 17, 18. We're not the adults. Like, the adults is the ones who has, like, more knowledge and shit like that. We still up and coming, trying to, you know, figure ourselves out, you know,
Starting point is 00:40:09 and figure out, like, we fall in the line trying to tap in with the older, the members and shit like that, but we are in an adolescent area. So we, on our own time. So coming in, off the rip, walking to the A&B gate, niggas pull out. You know, it's probably, it's popping, it's popping. You were banging, looking at everybody, that's a fact, I'm Crip. Look, niggas, dead in their eyes. That's a fact, I'm Crip.
Starting point is 00:40:38 All right, I mean, copy, cool. Come in there, off the rip, whatever. What I used to always do was as soon as I coming in, I go in the day room and put my back against the wall and stand up for hours just watching everything. Watching everything. I'm not moving right here, watching everything. First nigga come on some dumb shit, I'm spanking you. Me personally, mooky-loat, I ain't go through a lot of shit that average insane,
Starting point is 00:41:08 a crick nigga would have went through, like, because I already knew a lot of these niggas. To me, a lot of niggas that was eventually turning blood. Guy that niggas was already my dogs, I'm saying? It was already my sons, my little man's, whatever. So it was mad love for me, for me. And on top of that, me being an authentic crib. An authentic crib at that time was me having knowledge of my big homies, having knowledge of my history, already having crypt tattoos.
Starting point is 00:41:37 And, of course, my weight was up. It's not like I was some little skinny nigger for me. So they wasn't, the bluds wasn't really playing with me. Only one blood nigga ever played with me, my son Savage Riller, and me shout him out. You're the only blood nigga that ever played with my shit, I'm saying, and we got it on on record on when I was an adolescent. Other than that, like if I got it on with a,
Starting point is 00:41:59 with anybody with a blood, it was just off of my respect as a man. Nigger might have said some stupid slick shit in me or talk back with the certain kind of aggression. And I'm checking it. So, like, where I speak with aggression for the next man, match my energy. I'm not going to be, I'm saying, upset. You match that energy. Let's just be mindful of what you say, though, you know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:42:26 Be mindful. Like, all that dickhead shit, me, I'll punch a nigga dead in his face with saying some shit like that. Because technically you invited me, I'm saying, to your dick. Like, if they just suck my dick or something like that. Instantly, you know what I'm saying? Like, that's not even some shit you even think about. It's instantly, you know, because as a man, I don't suck dick,
Starting point is 00:42:47 nigga, fuck you're telling me suck dick for, like, you automatically violated me, you know what I mean? Now, were there all blood's houses, all Cripps houses? In 2012, no, we was all together. He was all together. And you guys coexisted? Yeah, for the most part, yeah. What about with phones, politics, commissary, all that?
Starting point is 00:43:08 You guys were all good with each other? Rikers Island, Rikers Island adolescent was more so who let their nuts hang the most. That's what Rikers Island is about, period. Who lets their nuts hang the most? What does who let their nuts hang mean? Who let their nuts hang mean just you on your bullshit?
Starting point is 00:43:29 You on gangster timing. Like, you feel me with all. Like, I mean, you obstructing the officers. Like, you're not locking in when they tell you to lock in. Like, you're not following none of that bullshit. that they're on, you feel me? You're doing what you want to do. You want to stay out and clean.
Starting point is 00:43:48 You're doing you doing shit like that. Like, you feel me? So that's what, I mean, like you're nuts saying. It's whoever less they nuts ain't. How did it feel to be in there during that age? I mean, you probably had a lot of friends that were in high school doing normal things and you're, you know, in jail. I ain't even even worry about that shit.
Starting point is 00:44:04 I mean, like, from 2010 to 2016, 2016. 17 to 2017, that shit was, I'm not going to say 2017. That was up north for me, but 20, to begin, I went to the box 2017 June and I came out the box 2019 February. So up until that time, jail was fun for me. You just had fun like, I mean, fighting is nothing, you for me. Like, I got cut 2016 and I used to always like not want to be cutting. Nobody wants to get cut, I'm saying, but used to be afraid, I'm saying, like, I don't know how the blade fail, you for me, like, pause.
Starting point is 00:44:56 So, nigger used to be, like, worried, like, damn, like, I don't want to get cut. Once I'm cut, it's over, I mean, like, I'm cutting, yeah, I mean, I still look good. I mean, my confidence is still there, like, so I don't care about being cut, I'm saying, anymore after that, so I'm ready to give it up. You back out a weapon on me, and I don't go to fuck about that. You get you, you get one swing with that. That's all. One swing. You cut me.
Starting point is 00:45:22 I'm taking that from you and shooting you right back. How did you get cut? From the back. All right, so boom. I got cut October 14, 2016. I came up north, October 7th, 2016. After Florida? Yeah, after Florida.
Starting point is 00:45:36 So they already sent you back to Rikers when they extradited you. Right. Send me back to Rikers. But before I went to from. From the boat, I went from the boat after, I got extradite because we took the plane. They took us to 161 because when you catch a jail case in the Rikers Island, you go to Bronx Court. So they took me to 161. After that, I went to the boat.
Starting point is 00:46:00 That's an actual jail, like it called the boat. I mean, on the water. I went to the boat. I'm in the crib. I go to court the next morning. I'm in the crib while everybody's locked in. I go to court the next morning. When I come back from court and I'm ready to go upstairs, I'm about to walk out,
Starting point is 00:46:19 see you like, nah, not you, you stay here. I'm like, what, what happened? Like, you know who you is and what you is. I'm like, what? Nah, you bugging. I mean, we don't do shit like that. Like, I can't accept no type of protective custody. I don't want none of that shit, nigga.
Starting point is 00:46:36 Like, let me go put some work in. Like, I mean, like, nah, I'm going upstairs. I got shit upstairs, me. Like, nah, you stay and, you stay and, you stay and. down here. So they kept me an intake for 72 hours trying to find a crib for me. Rikers Island was filled up because my jacket already says I'm SRG for Crip. Like, I mean, I've been SRG since 2010 in the streets when I was on probation.
Starting point is 00:46:58 What does that mean in that, SRG? Strategic, strategic security risk group. I mean, so just a label. So boom. After that, I went to Brooklyn House. for two days they had me and two other homeboys in IPC and then from there I went back to Rikers Island and then I billed out.
Starting point is 00:47:27 And this is when you get cut. No. And the billing out got a lot of December for Florida tried to violate me on probation. Like I have probation on Florida. No, excuse me. I took probation in Florida when I was locked up out there to be able to get out of Florida.
Starting point is 00:47:43 Florida. Just that jail experience, probably one of the worst. And it's not on some violent shit or anything like that. It's the fact that I'm not from out there. Not going to get that many visits. I had two visits out there for my homeboys. But the fucking police, like, I wasn't in prison up north at that time yet, but just always hearing the stories of how the fucking police is beating your ass up there. I'm getting that same energy from blacks. in Florida. I'm like, yo, what the fuck? Then I'm hearing shit like,
Starting point is 00:48:17 oh, you think because you're from New York, you're tough. So I got to deal with shit like that as well. Off the rip, Florida, like the inmates, they loved me. Yo, New York, New York? Like, they loved me, for me. Like, it was just the COs.
Starting point is 00:48:30 They hate, oh, you too arrogant and shit like that. I'm a bro. Y'all worried about me. Like, I'm not even doing nothing. You feel me? Y'all mad because y'all female officers, I'm saying, be liking me and shit like that. Like, she's got nothing to do with me.
Starting point is 00:48:43 So I end up coming home from the Florida shit. When they tried to have me locked up, December 20th, I came like February 18th and went right back to Jail, March 1st for another gun charge. So then that's when I end up going up north and I got cut October 14th. So how I got cut October 14th, from when I first got up north, October 7th, everything was calm, cool. Majority of the people that I was in the crib with, We came up together on Rikers Island.
Starting point is 00:49:16 We came up north from Rikers Island together. So we in the crib is no tension. I ain't feel nothing. I've always used to say since 2012 when I first went to Rikers Island, that if I do ever go up north, I'm going to just cut the first blood, nigger, off the rick. I'm going to set the tone like that. But when I copped out to my gun charge in the Rikers Island jail case,
Starting point is 00:49:40 I copped out to nonviolence. So I'm thinking like, all right, maybe I could go get shot. So why would I fuck it up by just cutting the first blood, nigger, again, I don't got shit to prove. That would have just been something proven to myself. Why would I do that? So I ain't do that. I got cut on a Thursday.
Starting point is 00:50:04 My bro, he asked me literally the day before, he was a new true dude from Brooklyn. We was on Rikers Island and we came up north. Like, yo, Muki, like, yo, what's up? you trying to blow this shit? Like, like, nah, like, I mean, everything's sturdy. Like, he, like, just let me know, you for me. Like, you know, I'm riding with you.
Starting point is 00:50:21 Like, I fuck with you, bro. Like, I better got you, for me. So the next day, my, one of my bro, older bros for my block, white boy, he had just sent me over a pouch of, um, tops tobacco. I just finished my first, I just finished my last cigarette from my last, um, pouch for lunch, um, for lunchtime. So now it was dinner. time and I ain't open a pouch.
Starting point is 00:50:48 So I already had a cigarette to smoke as I'm going to child and then coming back from the child. I always play the back. So I told Brian, yo, I'm going in. As I'm walking, my intuition said duck. I didn't duck. All I know is I turned around and started reaching, me reaching for my grip and shit.
Starting point is 00:51:08 So I went to go just fire on whoever. Everybody already had ran upstairs. I see one blood nigger left and my bro that's neutral so I'm trying to fire him my bro punching
Starting point is 00:51:23 and the nigger jumps up the stairs so now I've seen drip drip oh throw the blood on I had bread in my hands I throw the bread on my face so I looked to my bro I'm like yo these niggas got me gang
Starting point is 00:51:38 like they got me I'm smiling like yo these niggas got me he like no Oh, bro. So they got, like, mirrors. I mean, I'm looking like, ah, these pussy niggas finally got me. Like, you from me?
Starting point is 00:51:52 Like, I always knew, like, known that I was going to get cut. If I go up north, I mean, that was the norm being a cripp. If you're cripping, you go up north, you're going to get cut. I'm saying, especially if you're one of them niggas, like, you, for me, you're a trophy to them niggas, to the bluds. And nine out of ten, it'll be some. lame bozo meatball crash out nigger that has nothing going on for itself that he's only going to do this so he don't get shot you feel me so got cut whatever i end up finding out who did it by i'm an
Starting point is 00:52:30 i p c at this time mind you it wasn't lacking i mean i don't do no lacking it was a good opportunity an individual capitalized off i'm i'm not upset allegedly this is what i heard Like when I went to IPC, some other Bozo, some white boy, he did some Bozo shit and Sontan. He probably owed for drugs, something. He tried to be on my dick. Yeah, Mookie, like, I hate that that shit happened to you. Like, that was corny. Like, they were scared of you.
Starting point is 00:53:02 Yeah, who did it? Fuck all right you were talking about. Who did it? He told me who allegedly did him. Oh, were somebody that came up north with me. He ain't give me no energy, you for me? He ain't had no energy. the nigger too.
Starting point is 00:53:15 Like, you ain't give me no energy. So you only did it. The gang that he was jacking, the blood gang that he was jacking was one of them bozo blood sets that's fading out, you feel I mean? Like he wasn't one of the lit bloodsets and me, the up and coming shit at them times.
Starting point is 00:53:31 So I feel like, he did it because that. And as time progressed, things started coming out like, oh, nah, I mean, one of the, another big homie that was in the mess hole one time when you came in there,
Starting point is 00:53:44 like push, shit on you because he like, oh, you doing too much. Like, you used to be coming inside the mess hole. Hey, yo, say, like, yo, it's cragging, like, shit like that. And niggas be intimidated, you feel I mean? Like, so allegedly put a missile on me. And from what I heard, somebody, some big blood dude popped on me. And then I got cut, cat, you know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:54:07 All that shit was cat. Nigger, swipe me. How my shit? Like, it jumps. So it's, like, right? here a little bit, then a little, it's 17 stitches right here, two or three stitches right here,
Starting point is 00:54:22 and then six stitches. So, if I'm not mistaken, no, excuse me, 15 stitches, two stitches, and then six stitches right here. Damn it, by my jugger. I had 23 stitches all together, you for me? I'm not upset. I was never upset at the blud.
Starting point is 00:54:44 Ever since I got cut, I've never looked in the mirror, frown, or nothing like that. Just know we got ours back, though, for me. What's it feel like to get cut like that? And are you worrying about dying because of blood loss or anything? At that time, I ain't, I even know it was, like, over here for me. Um, I don't, I don't know. I've only been cut this one time, so I don't, I can't tell you, like, how it's, I really feel like it be cut like as if a nigger been hawked down before.
Starting point is 00:55:19 Like, you got some people who then got stood over and been harked down with me, like, who probably could tell you better than me. I've been cut from the back. Like, you don't even feel a shit. Have you ever cut someone? Maybe, maybe not. So do you feel like that's karma in a way to know what it feels like? No.
Starting point is 00:55:40 I feel like it all comes with the territory, you know. It's hand-to-hand combat. There's no guns, you know what I mean? So you're going to make you a hand-to-hand type of combat weapon. Locking a sock, soap in a sock, fucking two brushes in a sock. Whatever, you for me, shaved toothbrush, you feel me? Like, whatever, nigga, I take a pen and get busy, you for me? Stabbing a nigga right in his face with a pen.
Starting point is 00:56:16 If push comes itself. I mean, it don't really matter what it is. I mean, digging your eyes, gouged, shit. Like, I mean, there's no rules of fighting. What do you think is the most effective prison-made weapon? That metal. Yeah, push that metal up in you, I mean. A shank, a prison shank.
Starting point is 00:56:35 Yeah. It could be made out of anything or any kind of metal, you know. From the fan, from the bed frame, the radiator. I mean, any, anything. You can make anything out of a weapon. Plexiglass, I mean. Now that Rikers Island charge, you were referring to, That's what got you extradited?
Starting point is 00:56:54 Yeah, from Florida, yeah. So what was that, like, a jail fight that you got later charged for down the road? Yeah, it was gang assault. Three of mine versus, like, four of them. And with that shit, what's so crazy about that, is that that happened in the three-building, me and my son, Chopper Loak.
Starting point is 00:57:12 And the other member that was a homeboy, a nigger, a buster. You end up turning blood, I mean, you're a buster for that. I ain't going to say his name and me fuck that, nigga um how that shit initially happened was the one that turned blood
Starting point is 00:57:32 he came out the box first like two, three days this is in March so he, I want to say he came out the box probably like March 7th me and Chopper we came out the box together March 10th
Starting point is 00:57:46 so when we came out the box we knew that we was going going in the crib with the ex-member And when we went to the crib, the whole jail was on lockdown, whatever. So we pulled up, coming to the final, we living with batheedars in the crib and shit like that. So the patidah kid that was running, that was running the jail at the time, excuse me, that was running, who had it for the patadiles at that time. And specifically in that crib, my son Shorty, I knew him from the four building in adolescence.
Starting point is 00:58:21 So I pulled out, yo, yo, Shottie. Like, what's up? It's cracking, my boy. Like, yo, Mukia, what's up? I'm like, listen, we're here together, I'm saying. Like, we're going to live together, I'm saying? We're going to cause this. We're going to smash all these blood niggas.
Starting point is 00:58:33 Like, that's what it is, I'm saying? Ain't going to be doing no riffraff. What's going on with the OTs. I mean, the OTs was the older, the older inmates and shit like that. That shit is dumb. We doing what we doing. So the whole jill was on lockdown because the same nigs that I'm talking. talk to the Pothi Gads, they just had cut one of their own.
Starting point is 00:58:57 So the jail's on lockdown. So the next day, when they letting this out, whatever, me and my son, me and the ex-member, we, we're chopping up, we're talking inside the day room. When I said, chopper, he's just walking around outside. The security team come and start taking Apatiades to the, to the, to the box and shit like that, or let them know, like, oh, listen, we're going to come back and take you out to the box. All of a sudden, we just see these niggas just start popping on somebody.
Starting point is 00:59:28 Br-dr-br-br-ro-br-ro-ro. Looking like, what fuck is chopper? So we just think, like, yo, I know that better not be chopper. C-O just starts spraying. We see Chapa get up. We rush the door. I mean, see, oh, he puts chop in there. I look at Choppel and see if he go, I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:59:46 Like, make sure these things ain't try to, try to flock him down. I see they did try to scratch him, though, for me. So I'm like, oh, show, do you dead ass, nigga? Like, I just told you this yesterday. It's lit. He's like, yo, no, Muki. Like, he was looking at it. I was talking to my name.
Starting point is 01:00:02 You stupid, nigga? Like, Cud's not going to. I just told, I say that. I mean, it's lit. So they end up taking him out. Now, he still got another three of them. I'm saying it was all together. It was four of them.
Starting point is 01:00:16 Three that was Ashley Pothudah, and one that was just riding with him because he's Dominican. So. They steal in the crib. Now, they lock us back down for that bullshit, I'm saying? So I'm talking to the cap. Like, listen, like, I mean, we're sturdy. That shit happened.
Starting point is 01:00:34 I mean, they're like, no carter. Like, we know how you're going to do. Like, it's going to be like, you got my word. That's amen. Nothing is going to happen, I mean? Nothing's going to happen. Ain't no Crip going to do anything. Nothing's going to.
Starting point is 01:00:48 We're not going to touch them, saying? Yeah, I already took out the ones. I'm saying, Shung got nothing to do with them. We were just, 48 in the situation. So they had two dayrooms. They used to keep us in in one day room.
Starting point is 01:01:02 Maybe the small, if we was in a small day room, if we was in a small day room, that means that they was in a big day room, so they was able to be in the phones at that time and then it would rotate. So we was in the big day room. It's just me, Chapa and the ex-homeboy.
Starting point is 01:01:22 You got the Latin, couple Latin kings that was in the crib out two, three of them that was in the crib, dumb and the other Dominican out. All of a sudden, we chopping it up, all we hears, like, you know when a fight is going, you hear the noise. So, we like, come on, let's go. We jump up, let's go. I mean, because we know that these niggas, they're trying to pull a stunt and pop on the kings
Starting point is 01:01:53 because they know that we on their ass. So, like, we jump up, let's go. I run to the door, kick, that shit busts right open. Oh, it's lit. I mean, see the first dude, we pop on him. I mean, you start breaking up. The others just start running down. So now we leave him.
Starting point is 01:02:08 Chopper start breaking up. Me and the ex-humble, we run down. I'm saying popping on every single one. I'm saying that we passed until we got to the last one. Started whipping his ass, me, whipping his ass, stomping him, punching him down, flocking him, whatever. You don't know what I'm sorry, sure, show you sure. you end up getting a new one for that.
Starting point is 01:02:31 I mean, gang assaults, assaults, weapons charges, and shit like that. I copped out to promoting prison contraband, and I don't know what the other two got. So what did the guy get stabbed or something? Yeah, one of them got cut badly. Yeah, because why would they charge you? Yeah. But it took them months to investigate because you had already gotten released and went to Florida. So it happened.
Starting point is 01:02:52 This was so crazy. So this happened March 10th. No, I got out of the box. March 10th. This happened March 11th. And March 12th, they brought us to the box. The next day, yeah, they brought us to the box. So now we go to the box and we beat the fucking charges because on the ticket that they gave us, it was like the wrong. It was a technicality. So we beat the charges. We ended doing like, they still made us do like 30 days in the box or some bullshit like that. And we came back out.
Starting point is 01:03:27 So when you beat the charges, it's supposed to be over, I'm saying? Like, so I don't know how we still ended up getting a new charge. But you went home, right? I went home. And then you went to Florida. Yeah. And then you found out that everyone got arrested. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:03:42 Okay. Yeah. So how much time did you get in the state for that? Two to four. And that was for the gun charge you got popped with. With both. Okay. So I got a two to four.
Starting point is 01:03:52 Two to four for the gun, two to four for the jail case. So now I-ranked current. After you get stabbed, where do they send you? More than you're going to go, well, if you get stabbed, depending on how you get stabbed, if you're serious, you're going outside hospital. Like, they can't patch you up or some shit like that. I mean, more than if you get stabbed,
Starting point is 01:04:11 you're going outside hospital. But in your case, when you got cut. I got cut. I still went to an outside hospital. I went to some shit called Putnam County Hospital. I mean, got my stitches and then went to IPC. But even before, I went to the hospital. they gave me the IPC papers.
Starting point is 01:04:28 All I seen was Protective Cussie. I'm like, what, stop playing me? Like, no, no, matter of fact, the sergeant, he pulled up on some funny shit, some Spanish dude, this is in downstate. He's like, yo, call the, yo, go here, like, sign his protective cussie. Say, what, nigga?
Starting point is 01:04:45 Like, I ain't signing that. I can't sign that. Like, he's like, nah, what you mean, you can't sign that? I'm like, I can't sign that, bro. Like, I'm not going to know protective cussies. Matter of fact, put me back in there. Like, you, wild and put me with the bluzz like i mean i need to go with the blurs like he's like nah i fuck
Starting point is 01:05:00 with you i ain't gonna lie i'm fuck with you he took the paper and then you see involuntary my yo i'm not signing that evil like am i not going to protect me like or not like this is not voluntary protective custody like it's involuntary like meaning that you have to go like there's nothing you can do about it like i'm like bro my sign this shit like like like nah you're just signing like i'm gonna show you like it mean it's not no no no funny shit. I mean, like, I, like, I didn't you start asking, are you crippling, like, it's a fact, like, you for me?
Starting point is 01:05:32 Like, that's the fact, like, yo, put me with the bloods, like, you're like, nah, like, see, you don't meet, you don't meet them like you, like, I mean, I didn't imagine who's just going take, nah, nigger put me with them bloods, like, but they ain't put me with the blood, he put me an IPC, they put me an IPC and once I, one of my homeboys, I mean, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, he had, he had went through the IPC, he had, he had went through the IPC, shit on transit. Once I told my, yo, ah, nah, niggas just cut me.
Starting point is 01:06:02 What? When I tell you, he left the next day and I'm saying, like, that shit just trickled down. Mad niggas got cut out to that. I mean, like, you cut? Who?
Starting point is 01:06:14 So are you at the same prison when you're in protective custody or it's a whole different prison? Yeah, you're in the same prison. When you're in protective custody, there's no protective custody in New York State. There's no such thing as that
Starting point is 01:06:26 What they would do is They send you to special housing unit The box probably a week or two weeks See where they can send you But In order for that to happen Once you Oh, I want to go to protective custody
Starting point is 01:06:42 Why you want to go to protective custody? They ask you that I'm saying why you want to go to protect the custody Oh I feel like I mean the blood is going to do something That's what everybody excuses The blood is going to do something to me all right
Starting point is 01:06:55 that technically protects custody you got to let them know who I'm saying is doing something to you or like who's a threat if you don't do that you write back into population so
Starting point is 01:07:08 for the ones that that do go to protect custody if you don't do that I'm saying say who the threat is or anything like that you go right back in
Starting point is 01:07:20 sometimes if you sometimes they may just ship you up out of them saying. They know, like, I think it's a deuce head. He probably, I'm saying, oh, he's going to get cut. Like, they'll probably get you a body of me. But you don't really go elsewhere unless you say who's the threat.
Starting point is 01:07:38 And when you do that, you just go to the next facility population. Do you see anything wrong with that, though? If someone's not getting a new charge, you know, it's part of survival. It's part of the game. What's that? To say you need protective custody. What? Hell no.
Starting point is 01:07:53 I'm going to tell you why. 80% of people that's incarcerated literally put themselves in that predicament. So prison is a dog-eat-dog environment. It's where we're housing the worst or the worst. So if you know incarceration houses the worst of the worst, why are you doing things to put yourself in that predicament? So you got to take accountability for your actions. Don't try to, I mean, do crazy shit and then play a victim.
Starting point is 01:08:36 Nah, take what you give. So if you in there, you go to jail, you want to disobey jail, there's always somebody that oversees or run shit, I'm saying? always. It might not be just one person. It might be collective. I'm saying that has the influence. Influence runs jail, influence.
Starting point is 01:09:06 So let's use myself as an example. If I'm one of the ones, I'm saying, with the high influence in the crib, and then if I tell you, like, yo, you're lock in, I'm saying? Lock in real quick. I'm saying, the COs on some bullshit, lock in.
Starting point is 01:09:25 But then you're going, nah, I ain't trying to lock in. Nah, yo, fuck that CO. Mind you, this CEO, I'm saying. It's not a CEO who's going to be on some bullshit. He tells me, you, lock in, I'm saying, so she can be sturdy. You, lock in, gang? Oh, nah. For what?
Starting point is 01:09:40 Like, yo, why are you acting like the police? Or if you say some shit like that, I can transgress on you. I'm saying? So just say if I was to transgress on a person for, oh, why you acting like the police. And then you want to, oh, yo, I can't live here, this and that. let me go to protective custody. Like, what was all that energy when you told me, I'm saying I'm acting like police?
Starting point is 01:10:07 Like, where's all that energy at? You feel me? Well, that's a different circumstance, but what about someone that comes in that's not gang affiliated and he's picked on by, say, a gang? Like an innocent person. Not innocent front.
Starting point is 01:10:19 Maybe someone that comes in for fraud and a gang member's trying to explore it. Innocent person? What? It's no such thing as an... If you come in there for fraud, How are you innocent? Innocent in prison terms.
Starting point is 01:10:30 No, there's no such thing as being innocent. Once you're in there, you're in the belly of the beast. An innocent person is literally a super civilian square. I'm saying that, like, that you know he's not going to hurt a fly. I'm saying, like, that you know that he may just be in here for some scamming shit. I'm saying, like, and he's a real good kid. Like I said, I'm not with the bullying shit. I'm saying.
Starting point is 01:11:00 Personally, I won't allow that person to be bullied, but then again, this is also prison. So if you're not going to stand up for yourself as a man, then I don't know, you feel me? But if, and then again, that goes to who it may be also that is doing the bullying, I'm saying? Like, if it's some super, like, bozo clown niggins as just trying to bully niggins just cause, I'm a person who, I'm a person as like, as others that I deal with is not going for that. Other crips, bloods, potteras, whatever, they're not going for that. I mean, like, yo, what you doing? Leave that nigger alone, my man.
Starting point is 01:11:45 Like, he ain't bothering nobody. Leave him alone. Now, if it's somebody who try that with somebody that's. I'm saying going to defend themselves and see, you for me? And if you still on that type of time, then I, then that's just what you're doing. Who am I to tell this, nigga, how to jail? You for me? If he don't got no support and he feels like he need to rob niggins and shit like that,
Starting point is 01:12:11 that's what he needs to do, I mean, because he don't got no support himself, I'm saying? So it is what it is. So if that person that does have the support, you being robbed and shit like that for your snack, you having your family send out money. Nigger, that's on you. You feel me? You can easily pay somebody, you'm saying? If you're giving out money,
Starting point is 01:12:33 you might as well pay somebody go do something to that, nigga, you feel me? You got to use what you got. Now, because there's different sets of crips and bloods, how do you guys pick one person to lead in prison or follow? Again, influence, I'm saying? Um Influence
Starting point is 01:12:56 Money runs Um, I'm saying like Money run jail If you have If you have motion Like where you can contribute You have
Starting point is 01:13:06 I'm saying drugs Access to phones You might have motion On the streets I'm saying That's high influence To possibly I'm saying
Starting point is 01:13:16 Be a leader And of course Violence I'm saying Who puts in the most work I mean, definitely your leader, you put in the most work. But what if you have multiple guys doing that? How does one get decided?
Starting point is 01:13:30 Is there like a vote? I can't speak for the blus. I mean, speak for the loks. There ain't no such thing as just one man run anything. I mean, per se, for the loks. I mean, I don't know about the blus for me. But don't know one man just run anything. You feel?
Starting point is 01:13:47 I mean, we come together collectively and figure it out, put it together. Now, the guards, I've heard that there's, in New York, there's blood and crypt guards. Is that true? Yeah. Bloods and crips in police, military, lawyers, doctors. Now, are they corrupt or are they just part of it? Like, the community. What's your terminology of corrupt?
Starting point is 01:14:09 Committing crimes. Like, what kind of crimes? Any kind of crime. I'm saying, Jaywalk is a crime. No, not that type of crime, but maybe dealing drugs. Are there guards that are bringing in drugs that are crip or blood? I've never had a guard bring me drugs, so I can't speak on anything. I don't know about.
Starting point is 01:14:28 Bring in phones, weapons. I've never had a phone either. I mean, I ain't touched my first phone in jail until literally a week before I just came home just now from in Jersey. That was my first time ever having a phone in jail. So if you encounter, say, a Crip Guard and you ask him to bring you in, say, a knife or something, and he says, no, what happens? I'm asking to bring me no knife. I don't need you to bring me a weapon. I can make that in there.
Starting point is 01:14:58 What about food? See, I look, right? Some shit like that. Yeah, because I'm a criminal or incarcerated. I'm not going to look at that as some crime shit. That's not criminal. You feel me? Like, that's not criminal compared to a group of COs beating my ass
Starting point is 01:15:18 while I got handcuffs on. And giving me a ticket, making me go to the box. You feel me? Like compared to a guard just bringing me food because he sympathized and empathize the fact that I'm in here eating bullshit, I'm saying? Like, things like that. And because he has won two ties,
Starting point is 01:15:40 if that was the case, you feel me? Are there guards at what? Do you that beat you up? Hell yeah. Because of your gang or just in general? You got guards that beat you up not on some gang shit. I've definitely seen that in Jersey.
Starting point is 01:15:53 you'm saying. But you got, you got guards that will definitely break you up because of you being a feeling like a lot of guards up north hate Crips. They like Crips, but also hate Crips because like in the past years when it was lit with the blus and shit like that,
Starting point is 01:16:15 we come into the jail and we're popping it off or pulls. They, I'm saying, lighting it. That's the same shit's popping over, with pop off pause. I mean, it's the same shit as them lighting it. And they don't like that, you know. They don't like to have to run over here, lazy. They just want to chill all day.
Starting point is 01:16:36 The CEOs up north, just chill and watch fucking sports, football and shit like that. So when you make them have to work, they're more than likely they're going to beat your ass. I mean, if they take a lot of jails, they want you to fight, you'm saying? respectfully, they are into that barbaric shit, me. So they want to see that. They be betting on niggas and all. Like, who's going to win? Fucking.
Starting point is 01:17:04 They'll see you fight. They'll come walking. Break it up. Break it up. If you don't break it up after too many break it up, they're breaking you up. You feel me? Handcuff. you to the fucking, um, the infirmary and whip your ass.
Starting point is 01:17:29 Like, and this is happening in every upstate prison, specifically governor. Fuck you, governor. Like, fuck you. They used to whip my ass and governor. Choke me out with scalds, choked me out with them hands, like, and they was killing niggas. So I was just hoping that I didn't die, I mean? Why would they do that?
Starting point is 01:17:51 Why was they doing what? Putting hands on inmates. Governor is one of the most racist, like, facilities. As a lot of facilities. First of them, damn to every facility that's in New York is somewhere in the boondocks by farms and shit like that. So you have a bunch of, I'm saying respectfully, white people that don't interact with blacks.
Starting point is 01:18:16 And the only time that they do interact with blacks is by putting cuffs on them and things like that. I mean, and witnessing them act out, shit like that. So they're going off
Starting point is 01:18:26 of what they've seen on the news of just the black populations just shooting and killing. So they already look at it like, oh, these fucking barbaric monkeys
Starting point is 01:18:37 do this or now when they're coming into their town and their facilities and shit like that, as they like to say, they are violating. Like,
Starting point is 01:18:47 oh my kids, don't be a person to say that has no. No support whatsoever. No visits, no, I'm saying. You don't be on the phones. They ain't gonna torture your ass.
Starting point is 01:18:57 You feel me? You don't got people that can call up for you. You don't have no supporters. They torture you. I don't know why it's like that, but it's been like that for many, many years. How much time do you end up doing on that stapid? My stapids I did four years, both, two times.
Starting point is 01:19:15 So that was the New York one where you got out? I did. When you were in protective custody. Stop saying that shit. I was never in no particular. When you were an involuntary, Detective Custy. That bid. How much time did you do?
Starting point is 01:19:27 I did four years from 2016 to 2020. Okay. And you get out, what's your plan? When I got out, it was music. Yeah, when I got locked up leaving the studio. So as I'm in jail, March 2016, I'm writing. The whole time I was on Rikers Island from March to, I went up in November October, I was able to write so much.
Starting point is 01:19:53 I've never ever written like that after, I'm saying? Like, just I used to be able to literally write like eight songs a day, full songs, two verses, three hooks type shit. Freestyles, it might have been like eight of that and then like eight hooks. Like I used to just be going crazy, just be in the cell just cooking up and shit. whatever, it was smooth. Like, I, like, this is what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna take this shit serious now. I already had my brand so butter entertainment.
Starting point is 01:20:30 I was pushing since the 2014 when I was locked up for the robbery shit. I was pushing 24. That's when I really knew, like, all right, I'm gonna start doing music. 2014. I used to be making songs, having COs twerk to it and shit like that. So I'm like, all right, maybe I am. I'm not able to sit, me? I can't, when I came on 2015 with the Florida,
Starting point is 01:20:52 I ain't worry about not one music, nothing. I wasn't worrying about that shit. It was gangbanging. It wasn't until I got locked up in Florida where I'm just writing on anything, a fucking postcard, the back of an envelope, whatever I can write on.
Starting point is 01:21:13 I was just writing. And I'm rapping it. Florida, they was jacking it, And then the rapper for my block, like my age group and shit was my bro, Ave Pop. He had it for my block and shit for our family and all that. So I used to be spending it to him, like, yo, Ave, you listen to this, cuz, like, and once he, he's like, yeah, I'm jacking this shit. I remember my, I'm like, nigga, you sure, like, you sure you're jacking this shit? Like, he's like, nah, for real, though.
Starting point is 01:21:43 Like, I fuck with it. Like, I actually made me feel good because he was the face. for the music for my block and shit like that. So I'm like, all right, maybe I am I. So I ended coming home from the extradition and all that when I came home, I had writers block. It wasn't coming. Nothing.
Starting point is 01:22:03 I wasn't worrying about that. Went right back to gangbanging a couple of my, my bros died and shit like that. Long live Primo. When I got locked to December 20th, the moment I stepped. foot on Rikers Island, the shit came back. I'm like, what the fuck is going on? Like, mute.
Starting point is 01:22:26 I'm able to write, able to write, and me all day long. And again, when I came home, I'm in the studio and I'm trying. So now I'm in the studios now. Like, I'm trying, but I'm not recording, just listening beats and shit. I'm around other rappers watching them and shit like that. And then I ended up getting locked up March 1st. And then when I got locked up, it's just easy to write. It's easy.
Starting point is 01:22:49 I have so much songs. By the time I went up up north, I already had albums worth, I mean, of songs. What was that arrest for? Why did you get arrested? A gun charge. Again? Yeah, that was my second gun charge there. Well, why come out of prison that first time and then have a gun again?
Starting point is 01:23:05 I didn't go to prison the first time. When I called my first gun charge, I went to Rikers Island for 12 months. No, I'm saying the four years, the first four years. The first four years, I went for a gun charge for the jail case and for the gun charge. They're two to four. Then you came out and got caught with another gun's. I ended catching another gun, 22. Yeah, so why do that?
Starting point is 01:23:23 Why I mess with guns again? Why? I got hurt. All right, for one, I didn't learn my lesson, I'm saying, that first four years. I'm saying, yes, I wanted better. I'm saying, yes, I want better for myself, you know? I know things that I've done in the streets, you feel me? I'm not about to just let anybody take me out.
Starting point is 01:23:46 You're not taking me out, I'm saying? We're not going down like that. So, yes, I will carry to protect myself. I've never carried to just threaten people with it, I'm saying, just pointing. I'm not doing it. This shit is not a game. I'm not carrying this shit as if it's a toy. It's his real life protection because niggas is not fighting no more.
Starting point is 01:24:11 Preferably, I'd rather, let's get it on. Let's get it cracking. I mean, but if I come to you to get it cracking and you don't want to get it because of my size, and you're willing to shoot me, you think I'm about to try to get it cracking with you anymore? No, it's old for that. You feel me? Like, and then, of course, like, once weapons, you get cut, you cut a person.
Starting point is 01:24:35 The stakes is raised, so, me, it can go any way now. You feel I mean? Like, so that's the reason why I carry guns, but the specific reason why I carry the gun after the first state bid, or while I got arrested, I got hurt August 15th, 20, 21 on a dirt bike, left arm, temporary paralyzed. And when I'm in a hospital, I just knew that now is going to be the time niggas is going to try me.
Starting point is 01:25:09 I didn't did too much. I didn't put on. Now I niggis is going to try me. But the whole time, I'm maneuver. manipulating myself. I'm saying? Like putting those thoughts into my head, firmly believing like,
Starting point is 01:25:24 yeah, niggas is going to try me now. On top of that, I was already, like, having, like, tensions with my block, not on some, like, it's lit, or we just wasn't seeing eye to eye. A lot of me and my members from the block,
Starting point is 01:25:43 like, I'm doing what I'm doing with the music. Excuse me. I wasn't feeling like I was getting the proper support from my niggas. Oh, y'all glorify me. But what is the support at? You feel me? So I'm feeling like I wasn't getting that and things like that. I wasn't really fucking with my blood.
Starting point is 01:26:05 I mean, I love my niggas, I mean, but fuck them niggas too. Like, everybody knows going on. My motto's fuck everybody. I said what I said. Bitch, I'm so butt-only mixed with bread. Fuck everybody. So while I'm going through shit, I might manipulate myself.
Starting point is 01:26:20 I mean, niggas is going to try me now. Even my brothers are gonna be eager to fight and shit like that. And when I, when I, when I got out the hospital, I was just in a dark place, psychologically, mentally, emotionally, like all aspects started going downhill for me. Financially, started losing the bag, like spiritually. When I got out the hospital, I just wanted to be in a dark room. My aunt, I, my aunt, she used to be at an awesome, yo, nah, none of that. Like, I had moved to my aunt because I wanted to be, I needed to be taking care.
Starting point is 01:26:58 Like, I felt like I needed to be taking care of and shit like that. Yeah, I just be in there dark, saying, uh-uh, nah, uh-uh. And I'm just out carrying guns and shit like that, like, just in case somebody tried me, for me, for me. But that's why it wasn't, it wasn't to, it wasn't for any beef and anything. When I came from jail, when I came from prison 2020, I ain't had no ops. I mean, that's, I don't have no, no ops at this right now either. I mean, like, if a nigga got any smoke with me, you got smoke.
Starting point is 01:27:29 So if you got smoke with me, then I got smoke with you, I mean, but I don't got smoke with anybody for me. Like, I ain't, I ain't looking for no smoke. I ain't checking for that no more. My ops no sell me. I put in max pain on them niggas too. My ops respect me for me. So what I got to, I mean, look for smoke for, I didn't did prison time.
Starting point is 01:27:47 You for me? Like, y'all niggas wasn't putting belt the ass on my niggas. Niggas been living life. Shit, let me live life. You for me? So how do you get caught with the gun, though? To this day, I don't know. Three-time I caught with guns, I do not know how these motherfuckers keep getting me.
Starting point is 01:28:03 I mean, like, it's awesome. Why me? Like, nigger be locked up like, yo, why me? Like, what the fuck is going on? Like, I mean, my first, my first gun charge, 2013, January. We walking in Harlem. These dick suckers just jump out, I mean, reach inside my biggie. Oh, we got them.
Starting point is 01:28:26 I mean, lock me up. I'm like, yo, bro, like, even with that one, I could have taken that shit to trial. Like, when I think about this shit later on in life, I could have took that shit to trial. But I'm not trying to play with my freedom. I mean, the minimum is three and a half for C-violent. That's what a gun charge is. C-violin, minimum, three-and-a-half. The max is 15 years.
Starting point is 01:28:51 I'm willing to get 15 years for a pistol. I'm saying that I could have probably got two years or three years for a now. I'm just take that time, do my time. The second one, I'm leaving the studio. I'm talking with my lope. I mean, we talk, we're in the Bronx, we're talking. I'm here, my old cause.
Starting point is 01:29:13 Look up. I look up. These nigs in a black, unmarked vehicle. just like savages just hanging out, hanging out the fucking window ready to bounce. So as we was walking up anyway, we was walking to the bus, I felt butterflies, I mean. And when they drove all, I'm like, yo, that's it, that's it. That's the butterflies right there. I ignored it.
Starting point is 01:29:41 I ignored the butterflies when it first happened. So, I'm like, that's the butterflies. So matter of fact, we, yeah, we was waiting for the bus. somebody will fuck it let's just jump in the cab now so we jump in the cab i watched the police drive up so we jump in the cab all of a sudden these niggas is is on the opposite side of us looking at us now like i'm like what the fuck i just turned my head back around these things buster you we don't throwing the lights i tried to throw the gun under the seat under under the driver's seat that's who i was sitting behind the driver i tried to throw the gun in the driver's seat
Starting point is 01:30:17 he had some blockage I mean, down there try to pick it up though under the passenger seat by that time these niggas is pulling us out find the gun so me and Cus get knocked
Starting point is 01:30:28 and I'm like, oh his whole that shit down they can charge and they can charge they can't convict two of us for one gun charge I'm saying
Starting point is 01:30:39 they got to convict one person so he just panicking bro panicking nigger why the fuck would you do that like I'm like, bro, chill or fuck out?
Starting point is 01:30:49 Shut up, nigga, like, chill out, me. They can't convict to us, ah, ha. Just stop panicking, me. Like, yo, but bro, why would you do that, nigga? I'm like, no fuck you me. Why would do that? I'm like, I'm out to have a kid, nigga, in, in two months. Like, the fuck you're like, so now I start fucking.
Starting point is 01:31:04 You know what? You know, matter of fact, you'll take this shit, cuss. Like, take it from me. It's just a Cid, I mean, if Cudder did it, I mean, if he'd have took that on everything I love, I'm saying, for the rest of his life. Loyalty, nigga, like, I mean, honor for me? Like, high honors at that, I mean? Like, nah, Cahs, like, ah, you just thought my head.
Starting point is 01:31:26 Yeah, shit, chill, chill, chad. I'm fucking with you, Cud's like, nigga. I'm gonna take my own shit. Just chill out, nigga, they cannot charge it. Just let this shit play out for a second for me. Like, I don't know how Cuzz got off the motherfucking case, I'm saying. But I just spoke to him. We just finally spoke a couple months ago.
Starting point is 01:31:45 He was like, he was like, nigga, my fingerprints wasn't knowing there for me. but I was fake, I mean, like, what fuck did you get off that case, right? I mean, I've never knew because he was just on the case and one day he was not on the case. I mean, I had inquired to my attorney about, like, what's going on with such? Yeah, he's not on the case.
Starting point is 01:32:03 I'm like, what? He didn't claim responsibility for it? Until I pleaded guilty. So wouldn't that take him off the case? I didn't plead guilty into July. Oh, so he was off the case back in like April? So you think he's told or not? No, hell no.
Starting point is 01:32:18 No, he ain't. tell. I mean, he didn't tell. But the only weird shit is, is that when I went to grand jury and I spoke in regards for both of us, that it was neither one of our gun, his attorney also, I'm saying, spoke, I didn't get to hear what his attorney said, but all I know is, like, when you go to grand jury, by 12 o'clock that night, midnight, you should be getting a call. Like, yo, pack up. I mean, that you that you beat grand. jury. I ain't get that call for me. So now I'm fake. Shit's blown like, damn. Like, it is what it is. I mean, like, I ended up doing my, my, my four years for me, came home.
Starting point is 01:33:01 That was in New York again? Yeah. All my time been in New York. So I did my last one, this last gun charge, I did three years in New York and then did a year in Jersey. Why? Um, I got locked up 2015, July. for a theft by deception impersonating the Bill's bombing. Fucking, it's funny for me. Allegedly.
Starting point is 01:33:27 I mean, fucking, I end up getting hurt August. You know, not going back to court after that. I ended up catching a gun charge in November. And then I turned myself in to go to prison in May. Copped out early. They said, three years, yeah, give me that. Let's not play around.
Starting point is 01:33:50 I can do that show on their handstand. We're out of here, me, when prison in May. When I go, when I get to my spot in June, like July 2nd, they send me a legal mail and it's from Jersey. So now I see three cases. Fuck, I know I got arrested and one. What fuck's about these other two, I'm saying? Come to find, they end up pinging into my phone, whatever, that placed me, I'm saying,
Starting point is 01:34:13 at these scenes of a crime. So it wasn't, the whole time that I, I, came up north, I was trying to reach out to Jersey and handle the case. I'm calling lawyers, whatever. At the time, I had my girl, she ain't my girl no more, but I had her at that time trying to reach out and shit like that. It wasn't easy. It took up until 20, 24, where I met some older Muslim dude who worked at Little Library
Starting point is 01:34:48 who assisted me in reaching out the jersey, and then I had cut some kid in this one jail. I'll go to the box, and then a couple days later, they brought me to Jersey. Saved me. I mean, I'm in there nervous, like, damn. I mean, I can't catch any more violent crimes, so I'm in there panicking, like, damn.
Starting point is 01:35:11 These things are going to offer me life for this bullshit. Like, it wasn't worth it, I mean? Like, these nink is, Packed me up. Like, yeah, court. Court. What the fuck? So now I'm panicking.
Starting point is 01:35:26 Like, damn, like, I'm about to get re-arrested already. It was, I seen Warren County. I was in Washington Correctional, which is also in Warren County. So when I see the WC, I'm like, it's over. What the fuck? Like, damn, so I'm about to get a re-arrested. It's over. Like, I'm supposed to be going home soon.
Starting point is 01:35:46 My girl going to leave me. It's over. I'm like, where y'all from? They're like Jersey. I'm like, oh, okay, let's go, I mean? Let's go. I go to, I go to Warren County first for about 45 days. I take a year there, and I got to give them.
Starting point is 01:36:08 Why don't you all, get them, niggas, like, 17,000, 18,000 back. Next county I went to was Morris County. I was there for like 45 days there. I got to give them, they. back like 12,000 and then after that I went to Middlesex County for another about 45 days. A whole time I was there from March 5th.
Starting point is 01:36:33 I went back to New York, New York, July 12th. I don't got to give them nothing Middlesex County, but this is the county that gave me the most time. It's crazy. Warren County, that I got to give $17,000, gave me a year. Morris County, I got to give
Starting point is 01:36:53 12,000 back gave me time served. Middlesex County, why y'all give me three years? Like, the prosecutor, like, oh, New Jersey is a crime-free state. And we're not, I'm not going to do what the other prosecutors did, like, some shit like that. I'm not going to give you a slap on your wrist. Like, like, huh? Whatever. I'm trying to, like, litigate.
Starting point is 01:37:23 with them get something less they're not going for. Whatever. Take the three. So now it would have been rank concurrent if it wasn't a such thing in Jersey called gap time. Gap time means that the time doesn't count until you're in their custody. So even though I was in Jersey custody already, I wasn't in Middlesex County's custody getting that time. So I already had
Starting point is 01:37:55 copped out in Warren County. So my years started in Warren County. Then the Morris County time served. Then when I took the three years in July 11th, when I got sent it to the three years, that's when that time started. So they
Starting point is 01:38:12 only counted what I got to Middlesex County. I got to Middlesex County, March 29th. So I believe they started calculating it from that time. I go back to New York, July 12th. I finished my bid on May 8th.
Starting point is 01:38:35 And then with the jersey. So now I got a little more time in, whatever. I go to parole last year in July. These clowns hit me with a year. Talking about because of my New York history, like, oh, why you've been to so many different jails in New York. I'm like, what you're talking about? There's only about six jails in Jersey.
Starting point is 01:38:58 There's 40-something jails in New York. At any given moment, you can get packed up in New York. So I'm like, what are you talking about? And then you try to say, oh, you have 47 charges. I'm like, yo, listen, sir, I don't, I didn't have 47 different tickets. If they give you a ticket and they put four or five charges on there, I mean, then that's what it is. I definitely had probably about like a good 13, 14 tickets, I'm saying?
Starting point is 01:39:26 Like, it wasn't all crazy shit. But if you see the pattern and I try to break it down, like, listen, New York and New Jersey is two different entities. We're dealing with mass racism up there. So you can go to a facility and be targeted. I'm one of the ones that's literally always targeted while they're like, you're too loud. Like, what you mean by that? Oh, we can always hear you. The colors you wear, I'm always wearing purple, brown, pink, yellow.
Starting point is 01:39:56 They hate when I wear pink and yellow. Like, who do you think you are? Like, I mean, what are you talking about? Like, I'm just, I'm being me. Like, I'm so butter. Like, they hate that shit. You also have, they're saying because I'm a jostling. I laugh and joke all day long.
Starting point is 01:40:14 I'm always cutting ass on somebody. So, oh, Carter, you're so loud because they want to just sleep. I, nigger, we live here. You feel me? We got to enjoy ourselves. I'm not one of the niggas who be in jail and be miserable. I mean, no, I smile every single day, you know. And sometimes when it may take a little longer, sometimes in the daytime might not be, I might wake up on the wrong side.
Starting point is 01:40:40 And when I wake up on the wrong side, everybody who knows me knows what's going on. Just leave Mookie alone for me. Like, I'm a stay to myself, put my music in my ears, and just, you know, just pace, be by myself. I mean, when I'm in that mood, leave me alone because anybody can get it, you feel me? So just leave me alone. And niggas be knowing that, you for me, so.
Starting point is 01:41:02 So what were these jersey charges? That related to the bail bonds? Yeah. Death by deception. Impersonating a law enforcement officer. Money laundering. Um, um, what is it when they say,
Starting point is 01:41:25 Like, I basically tipped off my co-conspirators and some shit like that, even though I was the only person that was arrested. When I was arrested. Oh, obstruction of justice. Some shit like that, yeah. When I was arrested, fucking, my phone rung. So they was ready to try to answer the phone.
Starting point is 01:41:44 I'm like, no, no, no, no, you can't answer the phone. Like, I mean, I have to answer the phone. So he looked at it like, Sarge. Yeah, I don't care. So once he was answering, like, yo. Yo, slime, I'm locked up, I'm locked down. I'm locked up, locked up, locked up. I mean, you fucking asshole.
Starting point is 01:41:58 I mean, let's go to jail now for me. So why were you faking a Balesbondsman? Why was I faking a Bills Bondsman? I didn't know it was a Bills Bonds Bound at the time. I mean, I can talk about it now. I mean, I already did my time. I didn't know it was a Bills Boll Berm at the time. I'm thinking I'm doing an odd job.
Starting point is 01:42:15 So when I came in 2020, I'm saying, buying mad, mad cars. And I used to just be driving people around. So butter luxury services. charging $40. I'm saying, hand back. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 01:42:28 We get there fast. You can smoke in there, you for me? Like, so I used to just be trying to do odd jobs, whatever. I'm saying, I became a photographer out of nowhere,
Starting point is 01:42:38 you for I mean? Just, I'm a person that's just, I'm a hustler. I'm just try to get it at all cause. So I got put on to this vibe, I'm saying, through telegram,
Starting point is 01:42:50 make some extra money by picking up things. saying you give a name and you go to address and pick it up i didn't know what it was at the time i'm saying like so long story short show story shorter it turned out to be a death by deception you so how was this last bid for you this last bid was very difficult because i made the most money in my life my like last time i was home like for me during the pandemic i was running it up i'm I was living life, I mean, traveling, you know, shit was better for me. It wasn't so much better because collectively, my whole family still one, two, struggling,
Starting point is 01:43:38 things like that. If we all not, I'm saying, together, you know, being successful and excelling, a person like me is going to always be bothered. Like, the job is not done just because I might be good. I got people that rely on me So me Me having the most money and shit like that Life being lit
Starting point is 01:44:05 Created my business Legitly so buttered I'm saying The LLC And doing my music shit was going good for me I was really having fun loving life I go back to I get hurt And then go back to gym And then
Starting point is 01:44:23 No excuse me I get hurt her meet my girl. She ain't my girl no more. And then go back to jail. So while I'm in jail, my mom was, I'm going in there with three years. Gotta make it back home. Miss me with this crib shit.
Starting point is 01:44:41 There's blood shit. Miss me with the cripping blood shit means whoever's still on that, oh, because you cripple or you blood, I'm saying. Whoever's even there play with me like that, I'm shooting you, you mean? Crit, blood, I don't give a fuck, who it is. That's the same tone that I kept with everybody when I went to jail. I don't go to fuck, what you is, who you is.
Starting point is 01:45:03 Miss me with all that shit. I'm just here to get some money and stay out the way. Do my low three years and be back in the 10. So I was always just stressing like, damn. I'm not making any money for my business. I'm just in here stuck. I left my family out there I'm in here hurt
Starting point is 01:45:27 I that shit was difficult you know at the same time that was my best bid as far as that was the first time I ever had a girl
Starting point is 01:45:36 I'm saying support me hold me down and my shoddy made sure I had nothing I'm saying to worry about
Starting point is 01:45:43 why I was in there like packages out the ass commissary out the ass like I mean getting the bag like
Starting point is 01:45:49 so shit was lit for me like smoking weed all all day long, like, it was lit. And you were still on crypt time? Of course. I mean, shit's tired on my body. She ain't going nowhere.
Starting point is 01:46:02 What about coming out of prison this last time? What's been your mindset? You've been home, what, a few months now? Yeah, coming home from prison is really the same shit. Just get back into business mode. Like, I end up coming to realization with myself, like, with the music. The music is cool. That's not my passion, though.
Starting point is 01:46:23 I just want to be a business owner. I just want my name on everything. Literally everything's so, but that's why I came coming with that concept. I just want to put my name on everything and just push it out there. What about being associated with the Crips now? I'm still Crip. I mean, that's never going to change nothing. Even Perot knew that.
Starting point is 01:46:43 Like, they used to, oh, you see you throwing out in my, yeah, like, because I am who I am. Me being Crip is nothing negative about it. The negative aspects come through the actions, the mindset and the actions. If you are, I'm saying, living like that. Now, I'm on a positive side for the organization, the productive side, pushing this shit into success. Like, let's put a business around this, like a business mentality around this. We can all be, crib.
Starting point is 01:47:16 You can be a gang member, you know, and be productive. That gang shit is just. the association, once you've done things like, when you become a participant in the gang, more than likely you was younger, I'm saying teenager, things like that. So you already go through the cycle of the violence and things like that. When you actually was one of the ones that did what they had to do, you know, and you are, you earned your respect, you earned your streak. credibility, what else you got to prove other than becoming successful?
Starting point is 01:48:00 That's the only thing I have to prove is becoming successful. So now I'm the super big homeboy, you know, but fuck the status. I was a super, super big crick when I was a little kid by the way that I moved for Crip, you know? I'm a Harlem Cric, rolling 30s, but overall I'm Crip first, period. I'm a Crip first, and I move on Crip timing. I live by Crip rules. And with that being said, me being a Crip,
Starting point is 01:48:34 I'm not going to ever allow anybody to disrespect Crip without me checking them about that. Me checking them don't have to per se be violence. Just, yo, uh-uh, don't do that. Like, yesterday I checked somebody for Crip. Like 11.30 at night in front of some little club, one of my homeboys had on crates. Crates is beads to a neutral person that, or anybody that's not crick, I'm saying?
Starting point is 01:48:58 We wear crates. So if I got on crates and you come up and say, yeah, you got some nice beads, I'm going to cry. Yeah, he's just crates, my boy. You can accept that. Like, all right, copy cool. My four is crates. Or you can be arrogant about it. Like, oh, those are bees, you heard.
Starting point is 01:49:17 So now I can respond, react in the manner that I choose. I'm saying? So the dude, he responded like, oh, but I'm saying like, those are bees, like, you know. So the dude that he was talking to, I had just met the cuss. So he's like, nah, like, these is crates and all that. So he's like, nah, I'm saying, he's just bees. I'm like, yo, those is crates, you heard. I mean, those is crazy.
Starting point is 01:49:42 I ain't know the, no, the nigger, but those is crazy. So he's like, all right, all, no, no, I'm like, oh, those is crazy, I'm saying. That's what it is. It's not bees. To you, they might be beasts. Like, you know, but I'm talking to him. I don't give a fuck about none of that. I mean, by him trying to dismiss what I say, it could have been taken there.
Starting point is 01:50:00 I mean, had two of my, two of my cousins with me who could have easily, I'm saying, just crashing for, I'm saying, the disrespect that you just gave to one of the eight honorable members, you, you feel me? But something like that, is that even really worth it at the end of the day, risking your freedom? You know, I've said that escalated. The cause, like, yes, I mean, as a man, you have to stand for something or you're going for anything. So if that comes with it, I guarantee he would never, I'm saying, play with it. If it were to came to that where we would have went to jail, I'm saying, but that's the reason why we didn't do that because we're not trying to go to jail,
Starting point is 01:50:35 you for me? So you don't got to crash every situation, you know? Everything doesn't, I'm saying, deserve to be crashed, especially when you know, of I know I'm saying a person like me who have been
Starting point is 01:50:50 through certain shit that I know the average person don't want to go through and I'm saying won't make it through I'm not going to allow
Starting point is 01:51:01 these things to happen because I know better I don't fuck how much my homies want to get to a nigga you're not doing nothing me
Starting point is 01:51:10 you're going to have to fuck both was up at that point now because I'm not going to allow us to I mean. Do you think this environment could lead back to prison though?
Starting point is 01:51:20 What's that? Just being in the grip environment. Say it again? Being in the Crip environment. Never. I've never went to jail for being a gang member, you know? Like, me being a gang member, I don't, to be honest, I don't have anything bad to say as per se for me as being a gang member.
Starting point is 01:51:41 And even with a lot of my homies, a lot of my homies been to college, you mean? A lot of my homies are college graduates. Fucking, my homies in the military. Got a lot of homies that's literally doing productive things with themselves. And the gang shit doesn't hold them back. So me being a mature adult now, I realize, like, you have two different gang affiliates. You have members, you have bangers.
Starting point is 01:52:18 A bang is the one that's still out there gangbangers. Still doing what, I'm saying, what has to be done, you feel me? You have members that contribute in certain manners, you know? It don't mean you got to be fully active. You got to be fully involved every day. I'm saying? If your name calls up, like, yo, pull up, ah, come to his meeting and something. And yeah, that's what you got to do.
Starting point is 01:52:45 do, what I'm saying? Because at the day, you took an oath, I'm saying, there's still the codes of conduct and things like that. But you're not supposed to go out your way and do some unnecessary shit. If you, a member, I'm saying, you contribute, you bringing in, I'm saying, revenue and shit like that, you making this shit look good. Why am I having you hold guns and going out shooting? That's some bozo shit. You feel me? When I know, like, his life is lit right now, why am I having him do that? You feel me? You don't do shit like that. The ones that you may go do that is the ones that don't got shit going on for themselves.
Starting point is 01:53:22 You're not trying to go to no school. You're not trying to work. If you ain't trying to go to school, work, then you're going to sell some drugs. I mean, to make some money. And if you're not good at that, nigga, you're going to put some work in. Like, that's your cause. Because, like, what else the fuck is you doing? Like, what are you in this shit for if you're not here to contribute?
Starting point is 01:53:45 You're not just jacking this shit. You're not doing that. You're just claiming a claim? No, this is not what that is. I mean, this is not what that is shit. There's not no team. What would you tell your younger self? What would I tell my younger self?
Starting point is 01:53:59 Fuck all them niggas, me? And I said this to my own. This is why there's nothing to say. I mean, everything that I say, if I ain't really say it to my own people, they know there's some shit that I'm going to say to them. I mean, if you know me, you know one to know me. You have to personally know me, like physically.
Starting point is 01:54:17 Can't know me through a camera, you feel me? You will know me only by getting to know me. So what I tell my youngest self is, if I can really have a talk with my younger self, I would have had a talk with my 12-year-old self. I would have never took in that probation. That's for one. but on some real shit
Starting point is 01:54:54 I'm telling myself like yo if you don't chill out with the eagerness to put in work you're going to go through a lot of trials and tribulations unnecessary
Starting point is 01:55:18 trials and tribulations that's going to expose that you was doing all that shit for no reason I told my niggas this back in 2020 when I came home with all attention If I would have known That after doing 10 years incarcerated
Starting point is 01:55:42 I was going to come home and not even Fuck with my niggas the same way That I fucked with them in the past With having a love and all that And just to support I would have been never been this shit, you feel I mean? Like, and my members, first and foremost, is from Rich Block, Roosevelt Island.
Starting point is 01:56:06 That's where I'm from, Rich Block, Roosevelt Island. And then outside that, I'm a Harlem Crip, I mean? So all my Harlem's, I mean, from the East Coast to the West Coast to the South, like, I'm in tune with all of them. And then you have collectively Crip, you for me? I'm in tune with Homeboys from, from, you know, each set, you feel me. Homeboys, home girls, whatever.
Starting point is 01:56:35 That I wouldn't, not for nothing, I make Crip look real good, you feel me? I make this shit look real good. I don't need the Crip community insane to look good.
Starting point is 01:56:53 I'm gonna look good regardless, you feel me? Because of me. My morals, my principles, my integrity. That's what I live with. morals principles and integrity. So me being Crip, you know, having the blue rag
Starting point is 01:57:10 it, you know, enhances as far as my associates, I'm saying, having plenty for associates and things like that, but I don't even be utilizing my connections. I mean, because I get it together on my own, first and foremost. And then if I need to,
Starting point is 01:57:30 I tap in, But everybody know now, Muki, he do his own thing for me. Well, Cash, I appreciate you coming on the show today, man. You know, I appreciate you too for having me. Thank you. Yeah, and I wish you the best in the future. I appreciate that.
