Starting point is 00:00:00 The Duke Blue Devils are tearing apart the competition en route to the Sweet 16. Who's going to stop them? Let's bring in the squad. You're talking ball with the ACCC squad, sponsored by game time. From Florida State to North Carolina, from Syracuse to Miami, and from NC State to California, it's the local experts of the Locked-on Podcast Network, bringing you scoops, breakdowns, and the most comprehensive preview of the upcoming ACC weekend. on, it could get loud, it could get heated, and it will definitely be fun. Squad up, you're part of the ACC squad.
Starting point is 00:00:38 Shout out to the everydayers and welcome into the ACC squad. Got a lot to cover on this episode, including a prediction on Florida State, leaving the ACC long before that 2030 mark that's going to be coming up, talking a lot of hoops on this episode, two new head coaches introduced in the ACC this week. not to mention a little tournament that's still going on. And the Duke Blue Devils are the last hope for the conference. Margins of victory averaging in the 30s so far. Will they be tested by Arizona? They haven't been tested yet. I am Alex Dono from Locked on Cains. We got Isaac Shade from Lockdown College Basketball, Locked on Tar Heels. Jackson Holzer from Lockdown, Syracuse, the dynamic duo from Lockdown Wolfpack. They're both grinning ear to ear with Will Wade now at the helm, Kenton Kibbs and Grayson,
Starting point is 00:01:29 Boone. But let's start with these Blue Devils and I'll let Isaac Shade by the first round. Is Duke going all the way? And if not, who's stopping them? Duke. Duke is the only thing that will stop Duke, Dono. So will they stop themselves? Is that what you're saying? Or are you saying that's the only team that can stop them? I am not saying they will. I am saying I think they're the only team that can stop Duke. And a lot of it is now, we've gotten past that initial surge where you got to figure things out. We're now to the point where there's 16 teams left. Cooper Flagg's ankle was a nothing burger. Homie's great to go. If Tyree's Proctor's going to keep doing what he did last
Starting point is 00:02:12 weekend, this thing's over. I mean, over. Because now you start focusing on Tyrese Proctor. Cool, concanip was going to drop 35 on you like this. Just coming from everywhere. And it's like focus too much on Cooper at your own risk at this point. And we're all sitting here as the ACC. We're like Princess Leia looking at at Duke. Like, help us Obi-1, Kenobi. You're our only hope, John Shire. We need you to pull this thing out.
Starting point is 00:02:39 Duke's going to keep rolling through this thing. They beat Arizona at Arizona earlier this year. It's done. They're going to the final four. When I saw Amal watch hit that three in the tournament, I said, yeah. Yeah, it's just about over. I mean, the biggest team in the, nation now has one of the biggest player in the nation stretching and showing off the range.
Starting point is 00:03:01 And mind you, he was showing off the range because the defense did that intentionally. They closed off the paint on the drive. They were like, hey, you know what? If you're five that is seven feet tall can hit this three, we will live with that. And they died with that. So I look at this Duke team, historic net rating. And, you know, for all of the things about, oh, there are a lot of young guys. there are a lot of pressure and all that.
Starting point is 00:03:27 In the words of Keith Sweat, they may be young, but they're ready because these guys are absolutely getting it done at this point in time. And as much as I would like to see my bracket do well, and I pick Tennessee to win it all, I am wrong. I am thoroughly wrong. This Duke team is looking like they're, you know, they get fit for the reeds right now because they are an absolute wagon. I wouldn't necessarily go that far,
Starting point is 00:03:54 but my tournament pick is looking for. pretty good right now, the Duke Blue Devils. Mine too. Hey, my bracket's looking great right now. I don't know about you all, but a bloke, a broken clock is right twice a day. And this broken clock is right. Only Jackson, only Jackson could find a way to pick the same champion.
Starting point is 00:04:10 One good bracket every like five years. So come on. This is what I'm saying. I agree with you. Hey, this team is looking like a champion. And you said, not so fast. I'm not sure. Even though I picked them, only Jackson,
Starting point is 00:04:24 Hozer could do such a thing. No, the only way they can lose is if someone gets hot. I mean, that's really it. If Arizona or Alabama coming up, those are high-scoring teams, they get ridiculously hot from the three-point land. That's the only way you can really beat them. If they store like that's it. Arizona can get hottest fish grease.
Starting point is 00:04:42 They cannot keep up with Duke. They can't. If Duke is playing their average ball game. I don't think it's going to happen. You're just asking the avenue for them to lose. I just told you the avenue for them to lose. The only way they lose is if someone goes absolutely nuts from downtown. That's about it.
Starting point is 00:05:00 Well, of course, Jackson. Anybody could lose if another team goes ballistic and they go cold as ice. Well, that's what I'm saying. You're telling him getting fitted for rings. Hold on. Yes. If you have to play your worst and the other team has to play their absolute best for you to lose that ball. Get you fitted for that damn ring.
Starting point is 00:05:18 It's time. It's going to happen. The crazy part is I think Caleb Love could go ballpark. and it might not even matter. The way that Duke was able to manhandle Baylor, and I think Isaac said it extremely well, if you get Tyre's Proctor cooking without even having to really have to lean on Kniepple or Cooper Flag,
Starting point is 00:05:36 you can forget it. I mean, this Duke is a wagon right now. Was it a 23 point win over Baylor? Comfortably moving into the Sweet 16. I think they're more than ready for Caleb Love. I'm sure that's a reunion they were wanting to get, especially at the late stage of this tournament. I don't see any way Duke doesn't make it to,
Starting point is 00:05:54 at least the final four, which is kind of what I was talking about last week. Because if they do beat Arizona, you play the winner of BYU and Alabama. Neither one of those teams plays any defense. Duke plays really good defense. And in fact, Arizona doesn't play much defense either. So I'd be stunned if Duke does not make it to San Antonio. And Kenton, you were talking about, you know, these young guys, this is the time now when like Mason Gillis really needs to exert not necessarily on the court, but his influence in the
Starting point is 00:06:20 locker room as somebody who was in the national championship game last. year. They can rely on that experience. And Tyreys Proctor is a junior. I know Malik Brown's on the shelf right now, but he's got that experience from, you know, Jackson, I don't know if you saw. They didn't make the tournament with him. Yeah, exactly. There's that.
Starting point is 00:06:37 Poor one out. And, you know, it's just in Cion James, same thing. Like Tulane never did too much, but he's got that experience as well. They need to lean on those guys now to help keep things grounded and centered and focused. And it also doesn't hurt that your head coach is a, 2010 national champion either. And that's my point in this entire thing. You're absolutely right.
Starting point is 00:06:59 If their team has my attitude, yes, they're absolutely going to get bounced. If their team starts looking in the mirror and believing, oh, get us fitted for rings right now, they're going to get bounced. But like you said, that balance of experienced players, that balance of players that have been the bridesmaid, the players that have gotten knocked out into Elite 8 by NC State last year, you know, bringing that up and no reason at all. But those players know that, hey, When we get close, we cannot underestimate anybody or we will be going home.
Starting point is 00:07:30 We will see another big guy dance and say, your season is over. It's over. You're going home, which is the last thing that this Duke team wants to get. And again, they've got the talent. They got the temperament. Get those boys fitted for their rings because the title is returning to Durham. I will say, Isaac brought up the ultimate point that, yeah, we all talk about the freshman phenomenons that they have, but they also have upper classmen.
Starting point is 00:07:57 Like Tyrese Proctor, who was the hero the other night, this third year, shoot seven of eight from three. So to not only have amazing freshmen, this is not a team strictly built on one and done guys, to also have upperclassmen with experience and temperament in that mix. That's to me what makes this roster so well-rounded and so dangerous. I was going to say this Duke team, still a little early in the tournament,
Starting point is 00:08:20 is starting to remind me a last year's Yukon team. where it's just like I I just don't know I remember watching Yukon run through the tournament last year less so the year before because they were a four seed and you're just kind of waiting
Starting point is 00:08:32 like are they gonna lose and then they just loaned they just didn't and then last year there were one seed that the top team in the tournament and you're just like who is going to beat this team
Starting point is 00:08:40 and they just keep going through it and it's like no matter who's going up against them they make these really good teams all of a sudden look terrible didn't they go on like a 30 nothing run against a really good Illinois team like that's what Duke
Starting point is 00:08:52 can do to anyone. The only way you can beat them is if you somehow store like 100 points. That's it. And Duke is a really good defensive team. So good luck with that. Bama can certainly do that, right? They have games where they legitimately go like 30 of 50 from beyond the arc. And you're not beating Alabama when they do that. But we're looking at the most likely scenario. A one of one that that's going to happen is not as likely as Duke's crazy high floor that we see game after game after game. So I don't necessarily see that. You look ahead to a potential final four with Houston.
Starting point is 00:09:27 Houston is great. They are much better offensively this year. They're like fourth in the nation and three point percentage. The problem is they're undersized going up against the number one team in the that's just the thing to, or number one height team in the nation. Duke just feels matchup proof to me. And that's that matchup proofness is the thing, right? In another year where they don't have a Cooper flag, you could say,
Starting point is 00:09:52 oh Alabama's going to run them off the court. You just put a bunch of small guys out there and that eliminates Duke's size of it. Even if you do say, hey, dude, bring out your small line up. Cooper flag is still on the court, ladies and gentlemen. Tarka Nipple is still sitting there waiting on you. You're like, oh, hey, the small line that's out here? Me?
Starting point is 00:10:12 This is fun. This is great. I love it here. Like, it's this team is prepped and prided to do something special here. And again, in one of these, teams does actually take them out i'm sure people will be clipping us to death and i'll live with that but you know what i'll own that a team with one of the highest net ratings of all time has lost and and been upset i'll live with that but right now again they look like you know they're
Starting point is 00:10:39 going to be on a podium at the end of this thing do you guys have any concern about duke not having like a true in the real sense point guard no because i think flag can do it anyway that's right Doesn't matter. Exactly. When I look at the not having a point guard thing, to me, it's one of those things where it's like, even if you don't have a true center, if you are lacking other things, then yes, you will need a true center or you will need a true point guard. But they are so complete everywhere else that even the guys who are not true point guards
Starting point is 00:11:09 can get it done. Well, when we come back, I want to stick on the basketball tip here. How much has the ACC improved their coaching? because you had two new introductions to the conference this week at UVA and at NC State. Starting point is 00:13:08 I'm on Locked on Canes. We're available free wherever you get your podcast and available free on YouTube. So, you know, guys, throughout the season, we have, you know, we've been a little upset about the lack of high profile ACC coaching this season compared to, you know, what we had in previous years, all the big retirements. I mean, just this week, Virginia adds Ryan Odom from VCU as their new head
Starting point is 00:13:33 coach. That was made official on Monday. Will Wade, who just helped McNeese State win their first NCAA tournament game ever and has done great things throughout his career was introduced on Tuesday at NC State. Kenton, I'll let you buy the first round on this one. You can start with Wade, but ACC's coaching has gotten better over these past few weeks, right? I may have to go to eyes and search screaming down the aisle celebrating on this one because oh, oh boy, when I think about the Lord of what he's done for me. But in all seriousness, Will Wade is the perfect fit for Wolfpack basketball. In his opening press conference, I heard the word we so much. I thought I was at a Nintendo press conference. All it was was we, we,
Starting point is 00:14:18 We, we, us, what we're going to do, how we're going to get it done, what the wolf pack is going to do. This young man said, hey, we are making this thing happen in a way that this is not going to be a turnaround long. We are back. The wolf pack is back. And this is going to be in short order. That is the type of thing. That is the type of thing that gets me excited about the cup. You see, I just brought out the week up there because of how much?
Starting point is 00:14:44 We already said we. We already got Wade Avenue or Riley. All we got to do is throw wheel in front of it. You know, it's a major street already. It's not one of the side streets. You know, he was destined to come here. And his personality and temperament is perfect for here. And when you look at Odom and UVA, it's the same thing.
Starting point is 00:15:00 Odom is a very buttoned up. He's a very professional. He has that type of kind of reserved thing to him where even in his opening press conference, you didn't see him get fired up and excited and beat on tables like you would with a wheel weight. But again, that's just that there are differences in temperaments. And honestly, if you're looking at UVA, crowd. Is that not who they are? Is that not how Tony Bennett has success? Was Tony Bennett known to
Starting point is 00:15:22 be a super fiery guy and technicals are going to come out of the blue form? Not really. So, you know, I think that both of these coaches are perfect fits for their university. And I'm going to what, you know, Grace is so excited. His Wi-Fi, it keeps cutting out on them because he keeps Googling new pictures of Will Wade and just, you know, figure out what's one to frame. That's how excited we are in rally about Will Wade being here. with the wee around them i think the weed choked my neck or so um i thought am i are you wearing that around your neck like a dog's collar really i just wanted to keep supporting the we uh the we choke you you know what holzer let me talk um so there's like i saw amyric con
Starting point is 00:16:11 talking to somebody on social media today and he's like hey all the reports of me definitely going to rale you're a little bit premature so i I'm considering my options. Like, the fact that this basketball, like, what is 2025? I can't even figure this out. You know, I'm going to say this. People are being way too mean to a mere car. Whether or not he comes to Riley,
Starting point is 00:16:30 Sister Gene was a big deal in the tournament a few years ago. That woman is quite literally older than sliced bread being commercial. That is not a joke. Slice bread came around in 1928. Sister Jean was born in 1915. Why under God's green earth are we sitting up here being mad at this kid for being the story? Again, the story is Will Wade. The story is McNeese winning their first ever conference or NCAA tournament game,
Starting point is 00:16:59 especially over Will Wade's alma mater and Clips. He's already running the ACC before he even officially got here. I mean, the guy is just making NIL money for days right now. I mean, so I don't really feel bad for him at all. and he is going to NC State, so I don't see. Oh, my options. Okay, that's funny. Yeah, this is great.
Starting point is 00:17:21 This is great for the ACC. I kept talking about here on this show that there's just too much in the conference. Let's see what he can do. Let's see what this guy can do. I don't know if he can coach. I have no idea. We know Will Wade can coach.
Starting point is 00:17:35 We know Ryan Odom can coach. There we go. We need more high-profile coaches. And that's how we can get more teams in the tournament. that simple. Yes, yes, yes. When we talk ACC, Ryan Odom has ACC blood running through him.
Starting point is 00:17:53 This kid was born in Durham, North Carolina, where his dad was a high school coach. His dad, Dave Odom, was the head coach at Wake Forest, for those who remember that. I'll also love, here's another connection. I don't know if anybody is aware of this. Do you know where Ryan Odom was before VCU? I'm looking at that.
Starting point is 00:18:13 Utah State. Before Utah State, he was a little school called UMBC, where he was the head coach in point in 19, when they beat Virginia. Ryan Odom was the head coach, the first ever 16 to knock off a one seat, the team that he's now the head coach of. Wow. And I also, and he's a former UVA ballboy when he was a kid. His father was coaching in Charlottesville. He was a ball boy there as a Chuzz, perfect for so many ways. Yes. This feels like a conflict of interest right now. He's going to UMBC. He's a ball boy.
Starting point is 00:18:50 Upsetting Virginia. He is. He likes Virginia. Now he's the coach of, I don't know. Well, it's right for the ACC. That's what I know.
Starting point is 00:18:56 I'm wondering, because Kyle Guy has been one of the assistant coaches. I wonder if he'll retain him on staff. And if there's any animosity there, because he was on that team. You know, and he won a national championship a year later. All is under the bridge.
Starting point is 00:19:08 That's right. I think my internet keeps going out because big ACC doesn't want me to oversell Will Wade. So I'll start talking about Ryan Odom. Ryan Odom's a great hire for Virginia. And I almost think he's a little bit Tony Bennett-esque. And his teams are going to be very defensively minded. They're going to play slow. They're going to grind you out. So I don't think Virginia is going to see that big of a shift. So that was my compliment there. Will Wade. Before I get kicked off again, I don't know who's watching that wants to kick me out of here, but I'm going to get this off. This is the biggest hire of my lifetime. In fact, for empty state purposes, anyone on this show right now, this is the biggest hire. since you have been alive. This is the biggest hire since Jim Valvano back in the 90s. This guy matches the NC State fan base perfectly. This is a match made in heaven. He's a great white shark, as I like to call him.
Starting point is 00:19:55 He's a killer. He's going to kill it in the portal. He's going to kill it recruiting. And he's going to go into the neighborhoods of UNC and Duke. And he's going to get in their face and try and win their recruits. He's not afraid to come into the triangle and ruffle some feathers. We have waited decades for a coach like this one. And then you get into all the success.
Starting point is 00:20:13 that he's had. He's a winner. He wins everywhere he goes. He rebuilds programs. I cannot say enough good things about NC State fans being over the absolute moon. Every single moon there is in the planetary system. We're over it right now. Whole lot of fire. The funniest thing to me is I heard John Rossi say, oh yeah, you know, Will Wade is the type of guy. He doesn't care if anybody likes him. I said, oh, he's an NC State guy through and through because that's NC State for you, right? Like, either we can admit this. We can be honest about this on this show. Duke and UNC actually like each other.
Starting point is 00:20:47 Like that's a rivalry, yes. But it's more so like a, hey, we respect you a lot. I respect you a lot. Like, if you hear Duke and UNC talk about each other, it's exponentially different from how Michigan and an Ohio state talk about each other. How a Florida state and a Miami talk about it. It's exponentially different.
Starting point is 00:21:06 And how we talk about each other. Exactly. If you hear NC State and USC talk about each other, That's that deep-seated. That's that I really don't like anything about you. And Will Way being a guy that's like, yeah, that's me. I'm excited about that. That's the type of stuff that has Wolfpack Nation so excited.
Starting point is 00:21:25 Because even if this does not work out, there are a few points I want to get to because I know we've got to go to break here. You've got the fact that he has the personality to match up. You've got the fact that the Wolfpack have dedicated all of their resources to say, hey, we're going to get a slam run higher. And you've got the fact. that the fans and the booster played a major part in this, and that everybody from jump said, this is our guy.
Starting point is 00:21:50 Now, luckily, I got an inside source to say he was also Bukori's guy from the Joe. But this was a situation where everybody's happy, because, again, NC State went all in and landed the higher of a lifetime. Well, I'll tell you, I'm a little nervous for what we're about to talk about, because if we've got the big ACC lobby shutting down people's Wi-Fi, we are all about to be offline here in a couple minutes because a new report claims Florida State might be out of the ACC as soon as two years from now.
Starting point is 00:22:22 You want to keep it locked right here to the squad. I know this has happened to me a lot. You ever check your bank account and wonder, where did all my money go? No, but next time you watch that promo, watch Andy's face after the last thing he says, we, we, that took legitimately, poor guy. There was no. teleprompter for that. So we had to memorize it. And it was like spur of the moment. And it took him like 15 to 20 tries. And he finally got it right. And then he goes, it was like he ate something. Just watch his face next time you see that promo. That is hilarious. So guys, I was watching something the other day. And of course,
Starting point is 00:24:32 you know, we covered it weeks ago, three, four weeks ago, the settlement between the ACC, Clemson and Florida State. And, you know, at least the thought, was this is not going to keep the conference together forever, but it might keep it together for another five, six years, right? Well, there's reporting now coming out of Tallahassee. And the outlet reporting it is a good outlet. Like, this is not, you know, some dude in his mom's basement. We're talking about Warchant.com has been covering Florida State at a high level for decades. And I was watching a War Chant podcast where founder of War Chant Gene Williams, he said that in his words, stuff is ramping up with the big 10 in terms of Florida State joining that conference.
Starting point is 00:25:19 He says he doesn't think Florida State will even stay in the ACC until 2030, guys. He says they're going to get out before then. And his estimate, and he said don't necessarily hold them by the exact year. But he thinks Florida State is going to have two more after this one, two more academic years in the ACC, and they'll be out then probably to the big. Big 10, I guess that would put us in, what, 2027 or 2028? I mean, if it were to play out that way, guys, you could say this ACC settlement is an even bigger failure than we thought it was at the time.
Starting point is 00:25:55 I strongly disagree. This can't be a bigger failure than I thought it was at the time because I knew at the time this was coming. This is idiotic. That settlement was idiotic by the ACC, and here we go. Oh, this is Florida State still wants. more from the ACC after all of this, including the settlement? Oh my God. And more breaking news, Debo still stats is reds chain. What more can we get? What more can you give them? You have had
Starting point is 00:26:25 multiple times the success initiative. It was not enough. You go beyond that and you give them the settlement here. It was not enough. Why is anybody surprised by this? This is how it happens. If a schoolyard billy walks over to the playground and knocks you down every single time and you just keep saying, I'm going to give you my lust money, why would they stop doing it? What is their incentive to stop? You didn't pick up your hands and fight. You just said, you know what, I don't eat. I'm not even not hungry, man.
Starting point is 00:26:54 I need play like that for real anyway. I don't need to eat. And now look at you ACCC. Now look at you Jim Phillips. Now look at to Disney if you were involved in the manipulating this at all. They're still going to go to Fox. Oh, what a shot. I just want to know why the Big Ten would allow them in before their media rights deal is over.
Starting point is 00:27:14 Their media rights deal is over in 2030. Why allow them in before it? Well, it's not so much a matter of allowing it. It's a matter of coming up with a way to buy them out of it early. Because I think what happened here with the settlement was the ACC basically gave you, hey, here's what it's going to cost you every year to get out. Here's when the grant of rights is no longer really a grant. of rights. And so if the Big Ten may have been a little hesitant to negotiate with Florida State,
Starting point is 00:27:43 Clemson and whoever before the settlement, because they thought, hey, this is like too obviously tampering, now that we actually know when you can get out and how much it's going to cost you to get out, now you can start doing some negotiations under the table. I think that's probably what's happening here. It's just, it's just so complicated where I'm like, okay, if you're the Big Ten, you do want Florida State probably in your conference because they're going to get you eyeballs and eyeballs equal more money. But I would just figure you'd want to wait until your TV rights deal is over because then you can negotiate with the networks with Florida State in it and increase the pie. See, if you allow Florida State in a couple of years, well, your pie is going to shrink as far as how much you're going to make under the current media rights deal
Starting point is 00:28:32 because it's all split between each other. So why not just wait until 2030? But from the Big Ten side, what else can Florida State do? Florida State has no negotiating leverage in terms of like, if they leave, what's the alternative? Oh, the SEC, who is also under Disney, who also has their TV deal coming up in 2030. There is not a serious incentive for, you know, the Big Ten to say, hey, we don't want you as early as possible. if Florida State is a group that they're interested in. If I'm the,
Starting point is 00:29:05 and Florida State is like, we'll take a reduced cut, you know, just let us in, I wouldn't turn it down. That's in the words of Victor Sweet. And I didn't know there was a such thing as a free lunch, because that's exactly what the Big Ten's got to feel like right now.
Starting point is 00:29:19 And that's exactly how Florida State's lawyers felt were never leaving the court. They didn't know what was a such thing as a free lunch. And lo and behold, it still came to it. Yeah. I don't own a cat, and I've never had a cat as a pet,
Starting point is 00:29:33 but for anyone that has, you know how cats, like if you're not paying attention to them, they'll push a vase off a shelf and it'll shatter on the floor? That's how I see Florida State right now. They're not getting the attention. They want to be in the limelight.
Starting point is 00:29:44 They want to get all the money. And so they're pushing a vase off the shelf. I'm so tired of Florida State. I really am. Can y'all just like chill out? It's five years. It's 2030. Can you just chill out?
Starting point is 00:29:54 If you're making that much more money than everyone else, then continue doing that. And when the time comes, you'll get your bigger pay from another conference. Just chill out. It's just, it feels like.
Starting point is 00:30:04 I'm going to tell you, there is something to what you're saying, Grayson, because listen, and you know, I'm not, I'm not, he's like,
Starting point is 00:30:10 I know, that's why I'm saying it, Donno. No, you're 100% right because, you know, Florida State, you know,
Starting point is 00:30:17 they did, they did hire their new basketball coach a couple weeks ago, but they're, they're not in the NCAA tournament. Their practices are completely closed to the media because Mike Norvell, you know,
Starting point is 00:30:28 what didn't like, I think, some of the ways that they were being reported on last season. So we closed the practices. I mean, if you, if you need to get some clicks on your site, you better ramp up the realignment stuff again. So there may be something to what you're saying down there. Yeah, it's, it's the meme. It's like a Muppet. And they have that frown on their face. And they're like, I think I will cause problems on purpose. That's Florida State. All they're trying to do right here. They're just getting clicks. They want to be in the news cycle.
Starting point is 00:30:53 I can get it to a certain degree. But please, just go somewhere else. Go on somewhere, as my grandmother used to say can we call them a petulant child like is that a thing yeah no i call it no you're going to go five and seven next year anyway this is just stupid they're not even good i'll leave it here eat the dog i have to shut up sorry eat the dog pooper shut up is crazy or i don't want to hear about it their quarterback is thomas tasselanos next year okay they're not going anywhere here we go for all the reasons that we are all agreed that bloody thing is bad you picked the one thing about them that's decent to be like, aha. You're not decent.
Starting point is 00:31:32 It's not decent. Jackson, your first steps towards me were on my last nerves. I swear on everything I love. Again, you can make fun of Norval's culture and the fact that like everybody's in a pool every year from there, including their best players who eventually come back. You can make fun of the fact that some of their best players didn't play in their bowl game last year even though they were coming back. So many other things.
Starting point is 00:31:55 The fact that people believe that this team is one to five to have. has a chance to win a national championship on a cc next year they have no chance but thomas costalanos one of the only good things they did this all season like he's not benched by boston college and then he his team by the same head coach who trained in away diane hopkins for a 30-year-old powerback that guy's an idiot oh bryan's an idiot i just appreciate this is screaming florida So loud and it's so frustrated that his microphone cannot contain or handle what's happening. What is that? Thomas Toss a lot of supporters out there.
Starting point is 00:32:36 Well, you know what we're going to do on next week? His mother is, Jackson. How dare you? He couldn't complete a pass against Syracuse last year. Couldn't complete one, got benched and then quit. You know what he was good enough to do last year? Be Florida State's terrible defense. What you could have mentioned?
Starting point is 00:32:54 Everyone beat on. That's what I'm saying. That's what you should have mentioned, Jackson. He has a pulse. Cool. Everyone with a pulse beat Florida State last year. Next week on the squad, we're going to make Kenton's invite get lost in the mail.
Starting point is 00:33:12 And Jackson and I will debate whether or not Thomas Castellanos is just a running back playing quarterback. So we'll have that for you guys next week. Thank you all so much for making Locked on ACC for making the squad your first listen. Make sure you check out Locked on Caines. locked on Wolfpack, locked on tar heels, and of course,
