Which impact players are leaving ACC teams as we enter day two of the spring transfer portal in college football? Running back Peny Boone, who landed at Louisville from Toledo in January, has already ...decided to leave the Cardinals and look elsewhere. How much will Louisville be hurt by losing out on a player who ran for 1,400 yards in the AAC last season? Louisville is also losing some others, including right tackle Reuben Unije, who had just arrived from Houston in January. What’s going on here?Hosts Alex Donno and Kenton Gibbs react to those and other transfer portal announcements. NC State is losing WR and special teams ace Julian Gray. Miami is losing popular backup quarterback Jacurri Brown and running back TreVonte’ Citizen. Pittsburgh is losing veteran defensive end Dayon Hayes. Hayes made some comments about Pitt that Kenton does not feel reflect well on Pat Narduzzi’s team. Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! Monopoly GO!Get in the game and join your friends. Starting point is 00:00:00 Penny Boone. He spent like four months in the ACC. Come on, man. You are Locked-on ACC, your daily podcast on the Atlantic Coast Conference. Part of the Locked-on Podcast Network, your team every day. I am Alex Dono from Locked-on Caines. He's Kenton Gibbs from Locked on Wolfpack. I see you've been tracking the portal all day, Kenton. I caught you with that little yawn there. I know. I know. I've had a lot of transfer portal craziness already. This episode, by the way, is brought to you by GameTime.
Starting point is 00:00:39 Download the GameTime app, create an account and use code locked on college for $20 off your first purchase. I know that starting off this morning, maybe it wasn't quite as crazy as people thought it would be, but there have been some significant exits already, Kenton. And I've covered enough of these transfer portals now where I know the big chaos doesn't necessarily happen on the first. day. Some guys are still kind of going through their options, filling out their paperwork. Within the next two weeks, there's going to be a lot more here that drops. You know, I'm going to tell you, I disagree with the assertion that it's not the craziness that we have believed because this is crazier than I expected in multiple ways.
Starting point is 00:01:24 I was expecting a few guys here and there, a starter or two here and there, to be out the gates, but some of the things that we're hearing, some of the reports that are coming out of some of these camps are downright. I mean, it's some nefarious stuff going around, either from the term of somebody being sabotaged or from the standpoint of, if these claims that are being made
Starting point is 00:01:51 are legitimate and carry weight to them, I'm, we are seeing and unraveling like we haven't seen in a lot of regards, but sticking strictly. to the players, there are some very talented players that are now leaving the ACC that, you know, I look at these guys and I say, either they were slated to be a starter this year or they were going to be a big time factor next year. And so it's very interesting to see what's kind of going on in the transfer portal because the three biggest names out of the ACC, you're all, they're all
Starting point is 00:02:25 kind of, they feel like they're for different reasons. But again, it's speculation as to why these guys are even the place that they're leaving got them open. Well, and I want to talk about that because I think now, now that there's really no more transfer rules in terms of how often players can transfer, you're going to start seeing like certain NIL situations really get tested and get exposed in some cases. You know, and we're going to start with, and you know, I know that there are a lot of rumors and buzz going around about what may be going on in
Starting point is 00:02:56 Louisville, but let's stick to the facts first. Yeah. Louisville is they're losing a guy who's expected to be there featured running back next year. Penny Boone. Boone made a much publicized move back in January from Toledo to Louisville. And last year at Toledo, Boone ran for 1,400 yards and 15 touchdowns last season. So you can see why he was so sought after. And, you know, Louisville is losing their top rushers from last year, Jawar Jordan and Isaac Garendo. So Boone is a guy who really could have fit right in there. and really helped take that offense to another gear. But Boone has already decided to leave Kenton.
Starting point is 00:03:34 And I know that one way to look at it from a Louisville standpoint is, well, you know, what are we really losing? The guy hasn't actually played here. But you think about the possibilities of what Boone could have done there in the bill. And now he's going to be taking his talent somewhere else. And we want to stick to fat. And so not going to speculate here.
Starting point is 00:03:54 But factually speaking, Penny Boone's likes. are a very interesting place to be right now because his last like was a tweet that was criticizing, it was a like of a tweet that was criticizing Louisville saying, y'all forcing Penny Boone out too hilarious that outsiders know more about your program than you fans do. And that's about some things that are being speculated as to whether or not everything is above board with the NIL deal. but I'll tell you this much. You know, Penny Boone was one of the biggest gets in the portal this offseason. He was for anybody, not just for Louisville.
Starting point is 00:04:40 He was a large part of why their class was ranked, what it was ranked. And so you're looking at a Louisville team where I hate to say it, but you're just kind of rife with uncertainty at the moment as far as your skill positions go offensively. because Donald, I challenge you to name the guy that at the moment, you would feel comfortable placing $100. He'll finish as a finalist in this player of the year for the ACC, receiver of the year, running back of the year, quarterback of the year. He'll finish as a finalist.
Starting point is 00:05:13 He'll finish as a first team all-conference guy. Who would you, or second team all-conference guy? Is there anybody in Louisville, Kentucky right now that you will feel safe placing that bet on? Well, and let me tell you, I can speak on the guy who, maybe the next man up there, Don Cheney Jr., who transferred from Miami to Louisville in January, he's got a ton of talent, Kenton, but he has had some of the worst injury luck of any player that I've covered. So if they're counting on Cheney, who hasn't been able to do this since I think 2021, getting through a season healthy, that's a big risk and that's a big gamble.
Starting point is 00:05:52 And listen, if Cheney can stay healthy as part of the committee, he could add a lot to that running back room, but I would imagine with losing Boone, Louisville's got to go try to grab someone else. Yeah, a thousand percent. And listen, I love Cheney and I too was a guy who suffered from injuries in my career. And it's the reality is, you know, the qualifier of when healthy is one hell of a qualifier. It's one hell of a qualifier, right? Like, you know, when you, when you talk about football, it's the last, one of the last of the gladiator sports. It's one of the last of the sports that you inherently know. This is big, angry, violent men.
Starting point is 00:06:34 And if I can't trust your health, I'm not sure what I can do in terms of trusting you overall. And so Penny Bone leaving to me is the most, if not a 1A, 1B situation in terms of impact on the team that he's leaving with him leaving Louisville in terms of this conference so far. Like you said, it is only day one, but man, some of the rumors that are swirling about in Louisville, which I don't want to lend too much credit to outside of again, why it is a little suspicious that a player who was only there for, what, three months is liking tweets that are alluding to that, alluding to those allegations and whatnot. And, you know, it's, I don't want to lean too much into that. But again, this is, this seems to be a pretty big loss for Louisville. Well, and he's not the only player who just arrived there in January,
Starting point is 00:07:33 who's already exiting in the portal because they're losing, who I think was expected to be their starting right tackle this coming season. Ruben Uni J. is entering the portal. He was a very highly touted. transfer who came in from Houston. 80.9 pass blocking grade, according to pro football focus last year, ranked fourth among tackles in the AAC conference. And he's already, much like Boone, doing it about face and hitting that portal.
Starting point is 00:08:00 So I think I had mentioned recently, Kent, and about how many offensive linemen Louisville had added in the portal. Not all of them are staying put, it seems. Yeah, and there was a rumor that came out early about a mass exodus of offensive linemen. That was quickly squashed. all of their offensive linemen came out and said, hey, we're here, we're good. So again, that's why I want to make it very clearly. This isn't a bash Louisville Day.
Starting point is 00:08:22 This isn't us crapping on Louisville or saying things that are not confirmed to be true. Again, we want to keep this thing as factual as possible. However, to lose a tackle that came in that was a multi-year starter at Houston, a guy who was a vital importance for Houston that was expected to be a vital importance here, you know, you're looking at, it is something where you do. Do scratch your head a little bit, say, what's going on over there in that Commonwealth of Kentucky? What's happening over there? What's, you know, we need to kind of learn something and hear something because these are two big time impact players that were, you know, again, a part of a, I believe Louisville's transfer class is top five in the nation.
Starting point is 00:09:06 And so with that being said, right behind Florida State at number five. Yeah. Yeah. So with that being said, you're losing two big parts of that. And the question kind of becomes like, I understand the scholarship limits. And let's not throw that out of the window as if it's nothing because you have to be under that scholarship limit. But we're not talking about two guys that were like added as depth pieces, you know? I can understand if we're talking about two guys where it's like, hey, this is a good get.
Starting point is 00:09:32 It's not the world's biggest get. We don't expect him to do it. He's a player that we, there's talent there. We want to see how he develops and comes along. These were two guys that were supposed to be plug and play. day one, let's rock out. And so to see those two leaving, it does kind of leave you in that mode of what's going on,
Starting point is 00:09:51 what is happening? Were both of these guys just, did they not cut the, did they not cut the mustard? Like what's going on that has these two guys out of here without playing a single official snap of football for Louisville? You know, you're, again, anybody who says that they don't have any questions is a liar, and it's part of our job to ask those questions.
Starting point is 00:10:14 Right. Well, we're going to stop picking on Louisville when we come back because there are other potential impact players from the ACC who are leaving their teams. We'll see if they leave their conferences. And also, I want to pick Kenton's brain on, because Kenton and I are both very supportive of NIL, of players getting paid. Absolutely. The transfer rules, I think being able to essentially go wherever, whenever you want, It can be beneficial for players to find their best opportunities.
Starting point is 00:10:44 But could there be a better way? Like, could there be a better way to do this? I want to discuss that and so much more on this brand new episode of Locked on ACC. Keep it locked. And you know I'm keeping it locked to Monopoly Go. Guys, I love this game. We've all been there as a player or a fan. It's halftime and the scoreboard is not looking good.

Starting point is 00:12:03 Wherever you get your podcast, we're free on YouTube. We're part of the Lockdown Podcast Network, your team every day. Alex Dono from Locked on Caines, Kenton Gibbs from Locked on Wolfpack. Now, you know, Kenton, Wolfpack player who has officially hit the transfer portal is receiver Julian Gray. Dynamic return man. Yes. Surprising to you, any regrets here from an NC State standpoint? It's not really surprising.
Starting point is 00:12:29 I had a feeling that this was coming with how the, how Joker Phillips completely retooled that receiver. I mean, with all the respect, you know, a lot of. of people talk about what happens when you're like, oh, they, you know, they've completely bolstered this position or that position. When a team does that, what happens to the guys that are left? Because everybody didn't leave from last year's team, you know. And obviously, KC, Kevin Concepcion, was going to be a guy that's a freshman, all-American. He's supposed to go make a lot of money in a year or two. And so, you know, that's a little different of the story than what you're looking at with Julian Gray, a guy who I believe the biggest fault here lies,
Starting point is 00:13:08 with NC State playing him out of position. I don't think he's an outside receiver. I think if you put him in the slot and use him in that Debo-Samuel's row where you're just like, get him the ball, figure out a way, however you do it, put the ball in his hands. I think he's dynamic. I think he's electric. I think he's prime time TV.
Starting point is 00:13:26 However, NC State was using him on the outside a lot, which I get it. There weren't many outside receivers for NC State last year that you could trust to make plays, especially not dynamic playmakers. but ultimately with the new look of that wide receiver room, it's a, you know, college football often ends up being a game of musical chairs and it just seemed like Julian didn't have a chair when the music stopped. And, you know, if this was a position where the Wolfpack were still in a bit of a deficit, I would have a lot more concern if I were a walk back then.
Starting point is 00:13:57 I would have a lot more concern to like, what's going on, what's happening and all that? But again, when you add in the addition of Noah Rogers, a guy who was a four star on most places, five star on some, you know, just a dynamic playmaker. When you add into Wesley Grimes, who every time you see him,
Starting point is 00:14:15 defenders are looking at the back of his head like a good barber trying to get a taker good lined up, right? You know, when you talk about Kevin Exception, when you talk about the tackle breaking is tied in in America and Justin Jolie, you don't feel as bad when you're talking about Julian Gray Exiting. But I will say this. of him and Penny Boone in terms of who could be the most impactful.
Starting point is 00:14:39 I think that their ceiling of what they could be is neck and neck. I just think Boone has a lot higher over floor. Right. Yeah. And so a couple of, not going to say shocking, but a couple of players that make certain parts of the Miami fan base very disappointed to see enter the portal, enter the transfer portal today. I'll start with quarterback Jacari Brown.
Starting point is 00:15:01 He, one of the more talked about players, Kenton, for the last couple of years, especially this past spring, because Brown has really shown flashes of, go back to the phrase you use, very high ceiling. He's shown flashes because he's, you know, he's got a six foot five, about 220, 25, 230 pound frame. Excellent runner from the quarterback position. And, you know, when he arrived at Miami in the class of 2022, it was very raw as a passer. I've seen him develop a lot. The consistency hasn't always been there. And I think that's why he's in the situation he's in, where sometimes Brown will make the most difficult deep ball look easy
Starting point is 00:15:41 and just put the perfect touch on it. And he can't make routine short throws. It's been one of the more confounding things. But he's been improving on his overall quarterback game. And there was a situation during spring football with Brown where he was actually primarily the fourth string quarterback, which is, you know, Miami. has a unique quarterback room this year with Cam Ward being the man.
Starting point is 00:16:03 They also brought in Reese Poffenbarger in the Transfer Portal who had a lot of success at the FCS level. Emery Williams was a guy who started and played well in a couple of tough games last year for Miami. He's also been that mix. And Jacari's been kind of after those guys. At times, though, he's appeared to play better than the other backup quarterback. I was just about to say, you can convince me that he was the fourth, the best player.
Starting point is 00:16:27 That's the thing. So a lot of people wonder, like with him taking a lot of fourth string reps in spring, you have to kind of wonder like, okay, is that why he's leaving or did they already know he was leaving? And is that why he was playing behind some of the, it's, it's one of those chicken versus the egg conversations. But regardless, I think, I think wherever he gets, wherever he ends up. And I'm going to be anxious to see if he ends up like a really big program that wants to like continue to develop him or if he goes to a smaller team. where he can start right away. He's got options because, you know, he could end up being a really good serviceable starting quarterback somewhere. You know, another player that Miami lost today, Kenton, again, not a huge surprise, but definitely disappointment. Running back Trevante Citizen, who is, he's entering his third year in college, hasn't played
Starting point is 00:17:20 a single collegiate snap because he has had devastating knee injuries. When he first arrived at Miami in 2020, same year as Brown, I remember looking at Trivante's citizen and saying, okay, this guy looks at 18 years old. He looks like an NFL running back already. During his first fall camp, he suffered a really bad ACL tear, cost him his first season. After that first season was over,
Starting point is 00:17:46 he suffered a setback on that knee, cost him his entire second season. So that's like a big what if, right? And I don't think he's all the way back even. And I think he's still kind of, he's healthy, clean bill of health, but I don't think he's completely back. Because you could probably speak to it, Ken. And then when you miss a lot of time with injury, it also takes a while to, even if the doctor says 100% clean bill of health, it takes a while to get back to your old self. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:12 And a lot of people don't understand. Even if you're an idiot like me who was evil, can evil, as soon as you got cleared, you are physically not the same guy. As much as you want to believe that you can run as fast, jump as all that good stuff. I could dunk a ball when I got to NC State. I couldn't by the end of my time there because of the two Achilles' tears. Like that's just the reality. So, you know, with that in mind, though, I want to get back to Jagari Brown for just a second. Sure, please.
Starting point is 00:18:38 Yeah. Mario Cristobal better hope and pray. And when I say hope and pray, I mean, he better be saying every hell Mary, every praise be, every act of contrition, every single prayer he can find to bring. That Jacuri does not end up, I'm sorry, Jacari does not end up being a baller at his next stop. And Miami is not stuck in the portal looking around.
Starting point is 00:19:06 Because I guarantee you, there's, there's, Mario is headed towards a death by a thousand cuts firing at Miami that a lot of people don't want to talk about. That's just the reality. If he does not get this thing turned around in a measurable, way. I think there's a world where he wins seven, eight games this year, seven, eight games next year. Jacari goes on to be, Jacari goes on to be a really good quarterback elsewhere.
Starting point is 00:19:34 You're stuck looking at a portal for a third year. And your AD's like, I'm not extending you, dude. I'm not extending you. You just pushed away a potential Heisman candidate, you know, again, potentially, of course. And this is why I'm saying, you know, here in locked on ACC, we wish all these players the best. We wish all these coaches the best. We hope everything goes right for everybody, right? But the reality is, if Jakari ends up being a baller and people are already lamenting and talking about, can Mario develop quarterbacks, and you drove away one that ends up being good, listen, you talk about that high ceiling, low floor, Mario better hope for that low floor and you better hope he gets his quarterback situation figured out, because that'll
Starting point is 00:20:16 be a really big of the thousand cuts that has Miami fans saying, we're done, we're not watching, we're not donating no more. And I'll tell you what, if we've seen it from anybody, did coach Kyle not just show us? All it takes is losing the wrong couple of boosters and that a relationship with the university can get real sour, real quick in today's NIAL land. Yeah. And this definitely puts more pressure on Christobal and, of course, offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson, who's also the quarterback's coach to develop Emery Williams because Emery, you know, he didn't put up big numbers last year in the games. He happened to start against two very tough defenses, Florida State and Clemson, but he's got to show continued development because one of the regrets that
Starting point is 00:21:00 I have about losing Jacari Brown is that was a guy who started his career at Miami, a guy they were developing. And obviously, as a Miami guy, I hope Cam Ward goes out there and lights it up in 2024. But that's not someone you can claim the development of, whereas, you know, hopefully a guy like Emery Williams could become that one. There's also a note. notable exit from the Pitt Panthers. Edge rusher, Dayon Hayes, is entering the transfer portal. This is someone who started 11 games, played in all 12 games for Pitt last season, had his best statistical year, 45 total tackles, 25 solo, 10 and a half tackles for loss,
Starting point is 00:21:41 four sacks, four passes defended, and one fumble. You know, obviously you would expect Pitt's going to lose some guys after having a really tough year last year. So this is a good one. He's a grad transfer. I think he's finished his degree at Pittsburgh. He's looking for one more year somewhere. Donald, this is the one that I looked at. And I said, this is what I mean when I
Starting point is 00:22:02 say this is maybe more chaos than we've expected because the quote that is directly from this young man's mouth is the most damning thing that I have heard in quite some time. What did he say? Any program. Now, this comes from our boy of locked on Steelers,
Starting point is 00:22:20 Christopher Carter, who also works at the Pittsburgh Post Gazette. Deion Hay said, and I quote, it's just that I don't believe we can win now. I believe we were going to win games, but I believe we are in a developmental stage, and I just can't do that right now. That's a bombshell. That's a bombshell, and let me tell you why.
Starting point is 00:22:48 Narduzi got a new offensive course. coordinator from Western Carolina. He said, you know what? We need something up tempo. We need some pace and space. We need something that is going to be innovative, that is going to work for the athletes that we have. We need something that will be legitimate. Now, this is a lot like a team that ain't too far from Pitt over in Happy Valley. Their number one receiver ended up leaving. And many people thought and speculated it was because the offense could not catch up. It was because Ailers was not good enough and he was
Starting point is 00:23:21 never going to be the guy. We're looking at a defender saying, I wouldn't win in my last year and I can't do it here. Do you know what that does to pitch credibility going into this next season? That's the thing because, and I know
Starting point is 00:23:36 Narduzi hates to see that because he's thinking, because like ideally in this era when it's theoretically so easy to bring in transfers, you'd like to have your rebuild in conjunction with, we're going to rebuild, but we're also going to bring in some important veterans that can help us not embarrass ourselves on the field. But if you've got a veteran who's leaving, who's got one year left, who's saying they're not going to win anything next year, then other, believe me, other prospective players Pitt would like to bring in are going to see that and they're going to say,
Starting point is 00:24:05 that's probably not for me. Yeah, and it's, you know, I am very much so, anybody who knows me knows, I'm, I don't criticize players sharply for things that they say and all that, because I love clips like this because I want to know the truth. I want to know the truth. I don't want to hear, hey, my time in Pitt has been so enjoyable. It's just that time. Really? It's just that time in the middle of April in your senior year?
Starting point is 00:24:30 This is the moment where you decide now, that's it? But to see this out of not only a player that was supposed to be a building block going into next year because of the fact that he was one of their better players all last year, this was one of their most highly-tied recruits in years. in years. I am telling you right now, Narduzi has to prove this young man road next year. Because I don't know how you continue to end as high as I am on Narduzzi and as much as I'm a Narduzi guy.
Starting point is 00:25:00 This statement right here lost a lot of goodwill in my opinion. Because if you come back with a five, six win season after one of your stars is like, I left because I knew that program is going nowhere in a hurry. What do you think that says to recruits? And Arduzzi is known for saying, we recruit players who fit our system, not just guys with a lot of stars by their name. Well, how do you think the players who would fit your system
Starting point is 00:25:29 and have a lot of stars by their name are going to feel, seeing that, you develop some players, sure, but players know that I can't win Didley Squat up in Pittsburgh. You know, that's a tough one. That's a tough one. So I think that this, I think that the, The transfers out of Louisville leave you with the most head scratching and suspicion. I think the transfer out of NC State, you kind of expect it, but I think he could be great somewhere.
Starting point is 00:25:55 The transfers out of Miami, they put, you know, obviously the young man with the injury situation, injuries or injuries, can't do nothing about that. But Jacari Brown puts a little bit of pressure on crystal ball. But this one here, this transfer here, to me, this throws a lot of chaos and a lot of wrenches in pits operas. that I don't think they saw coming before. Again, shout out to our guy, Christopher Carter of Locked-on Steelers, who also works at the Post Gazette for getting this, because this is big-time stuff. That's fantastic.
Starting point is 00:26:26 And when we come back, is there a better way to do this than the current system of, you know, just players can go anywhere, anytime? The Locked on NFL mock draft tonight at 7 o'clock Eastern time streaming live on Locked on Locked on sports today 24-7 streaming channel on YouTube or on the free Amazon Fire TV channels app. So, you know, Kenton, with all this transfer portal chaos, like I'm reminded of that college football super league proposal, which I'm not sure if that's going to get anywhere in this current
Starting point is 00:28:51 form, but I think eventually some of these principles will take hold. And part of that proposal was with collective bargaining, players would potentially sign contracts, multi-year contracts out of high school with the schools that they go to. Now, I think part of that equation would actually be trades would feel very much like the NFL, that trades would be possible, but players signing multi-year contracts, is that better than what we have now? We're like, we do have NIL where players can make some money, but there's also all the chaos that comes with, you know, coming and going, you know, coaches can, you know, force you off of a roster to clear spots.
Starting point is 00:29:33 Do you think that the idea of being able to sign multi-year contracts, is that better than this? Yes, absolutely. But I would also say the trading idea is absolute insanity, right? Like let's pump the brakes a little there. But I would say this about the contract situation. These teams need to address how their NIL is being done because there should be no guaranteed payout before you are at least on the roster for you. Like I'm not, I'm a very strong, I'm very strongly against having like, hey, you have to be play X amount of snaps in order to get your money or whatever the case may be.
Starting point is 00:30:13 very strongly against that. But one thing that I do believe is at least say, hey, we'll sign you up for, you know, X amount of money. If you were on the roster, come to fall, you will receive X amount in payments of however much or whatever the terms are that are agreed to there. Because right now it's the Wild Wild West. It's the Wild West. And again, I don't want to get too much into the speculation of who is or is not doing what and things that are completely unconfirmed and that we don't know at all. But I'll say this, if we are seeing what many people are reporting in terms of, you know, NIL money coming out a little funny or different schools not having NIL money down the stretch
Starting point is 00:30:59 and telling players, oh, we'll figure it out, we'll get you done, we'll get you together at some later point in time. That's extremely problematic. It should be something that is written up that everything is, hey, this is the amount, pay out on this day. that's what we're doing. That's how we're rocking out. So that way both parties are protected. If a player comes in and stays for three months and leaves, hey, man, more prior to you. It didn't work out.
Starting point is 00:31:22 You came and gave it a test drive. You know, no harm, no file. We still got that money to go into the portal in this period and move forward. But another thing I would like to see is more restrictions on not how often players can get in the portal, but more so when the portal is happening, right? Like, I just don't like this portal period right now. I really, really don't like it. And I understand that it's a situation where maybe a Gertr Brown was not told, hey, you're going to be the fourth guy.
Starting point is 00:31:53 Maybe he wasn't told that. Maybe he was told you'll get a fair chance to compete and then he goes out there and finds out he's the fourth guy. That's possible. Or, like you said, maybe it was a situation where he already knew he was transferring and that's why they had him at fourth. But either way, if you make people be more intentional about when they're transferring, You don't see situations like that now to where that young man could have taken his talents elsewhere. If he would have known, hey, if you don't transfer after this bowl game, that's it. You are stuck.
Starting point is 00:32:24 You are done to do with that information, what you will. The decision then looks very different for him, which then creates a very different situation for his future at large, as opposed to being in a situation where he's like, yeah, I guess if things don't work out, you know, it's only three months. when in the grand scheme of things, if you think about how shorter college career actually is and how big that window you actually have to play is, that three months could be invaluable, immeasurably valuable in getting you to the NFL,
Starting point is 00:32:53 getting you to New York, getting you to the Maxwell Award, all these different awards or all conference, all, you know, whatever the case may be. It's, I do like that the singularity and the professionalization of it would come with more hard and fast boundaries. I really do want that.
Starting point is 00:33:10 as opposed to these soft, slow boundaries that we have now where it's like, is it, can you, can you not? I think I can. I'll sue you if I can. We'll be all right. No, I want some hard back. This is what it is. Figure it out.
Starting point is 00:33:24 Go from there. Well, I'm sure we'll have more portal fun to cover on our next episode. He's Kenton Gibbs from Lockdown Wolfpack. I'm Alex Dono from Lockdown Canes.
