You are Locked-on Broncos Postcast, powered by Mile High Sports, part of Locked-on Sports, Denver, on the Locked-on Podcast Network, your team every day.
It is your locked-on Broncos postcast. I am your host, Anilop hero.
Hope everybody is doing well out there in Broncos country as of the fellas.
On a bit of a roll right now, on a bit of a win streak as they take down the Dallas Cowboys.
in absolute blowout fashion.
They destroyed the Dallas Cowboys here on Sunday afternoon.
Your final score, 44 to 24.
And really, you know, it's a 20-point win,
but I understand the margin of victory and whatnot.
Like the Cowboys were not in this game
after their first drive of the game after the Bow-Nix interception.
We'll talk about that throughout the course of the program here tonight.
I mean, this was a complete and thorough domination from the Denver Bronwyn.
In my opinion, their best win of the season, right?
You can point to the Cincinnati game.
They took care of business there 28 to 3.
You know, you like the comeback against the Philadelphia Eagles 21 to 17.
You like the comeback last week against the Giants 33 to 32.
But this is the first time the Denver Broncos have legitimately looked like what could be considered their peak form or close to their peak form, right?
A team that can legitimately go out there and try to contend for a championship as Sean Payton talked about throughout the course of training camp.
Today we saw that form of the Denver Broncos.
And look, the Cowboys, I know there was plenty of injuries specifically on the defensive side of the ball for the Cowboys.
But, you know, this was the number one ranked offense in the NFL entering into this game.
And the Denver Broncos made it seem like that was just simply not the case.
So a lot to talk back or a lot to talk about here tonight.
Do me a favor, guys.

More from our friends over at game time here in just a little bit.
Why don't we start with the Broncos offense?
Because I think that's the major story of the day, right?
The Broncos defense is one of the better units in the NFL in particular in the red zone.
And they just did their job.
Like that's the easiest way to put it.
Now, I think there's a little bit more emphasis on the job they did today,
considering the group they were going up against.
I mean, I don't think Jake Ferguson, the Titan had a reception today for the Dallas Cowboys.
And he's one of Dak Prescott's go-to guys throughout the course of games.
So the defense checked their boxes, did a good job.
Injury updates with Pat Sertan here in a little bit as well.
Hopefully everything's okay with him.
But they did their job, you know, plain and simple.
CD, you know, and George Pickens got their yards and whatnot.
But the Broncos did a good job of limiting the Cowboys scoring opportunities,
some self-inflicted wounds from Dak Prescott as well,
two terrible interceptions for him.
But all in all, man, I mean, we got to start and really just dive deep in with the offense.
I know we got some questions about PS2.
Look, let me get that out of the way then.
Sean Payton did not talk about Patrick Chertainer,
did not comment rather on Patrick Chertain in his post-game press conference.
You know, he left early in the game with an apparent,
I believe it was a leg injury.
I forget if it was the right of the left leg.
But, you know, he was in the Blue Medical Tent for a couple of minutes,
came out, came back into the game,
and then did not play at all in the second half due to a shoulder injury.
I'm not quite sure when the shoulder injury occurred.
I'm not sure if I was on the same play where the leg injury occurred.
You know, chat with our guy Cody Warke.
There's a chance that, you know, maybe the shoulder was banged up in the first half,
and, you know, the adrenaline wears off at halftime.
And maybe you do realize you're a little bit more banged up than you feel because you kind of calm down a little bit.
So a bit of murky gray area in regards to the status of Pat Sertan moving forward,
at least from what I've gathered here after the game.
But I'm sure Sean Payton will have some more information for the fans in the media alike.
Maybe tomorrow, Wednesday, whatever it might be.
So we should get some updates on Pat or Tan.
But knock on wood, fingers crossed that the reigning defense.
defending defensive player of the year, PS2 is A-OK.
But on that note as well, I know I wanted to start with the offense,
but we're on PS2 in the defense.
Now, you got to love how Chris Abrams drain stepped up in place of Pat's or Tan today.
And let's pull up these stats for the Cowboys wide receivers today.
I mean, you know, George Pickens and C.D. Lam had pretty good games,
but you were able to keep both of them out of the end zone.
I mean, each of these guys in Pickens and C.D. had seven receptions each for just under 80 yards.
George Pickens 7 for 78 and C.L.L.m. 7 for 74.
So, you know, the yardage was there for Dallas, but, you know, the Broncos today played a little bit of Ben don't break defense.
They gave up some plays over the middle of those guys.
But, you know, you saw there in one red zone drive.
They tried to target C.D. Lamb, like two or three plays in a row.
Now, there was a couple of flags on Riley Moss.
And look, Riley Moss has the hardest job in the NFL, at least at the cornerback.
He is the hardest job as a cornerback in the NFL.
When you're playing alongside Pat Sertan, and I understand he didn't play in the second half, you are naturally going to get picked on.
And some of the statistics have shown us that Riley Moss is better than maybe the game.
the eye test seems. I know the flags are probably a major frustration point for the Denver Broncos
fans out there today. But, you know, again, when you have Pats or Chan on the other side,
you're going to get a lot of looks. And again, most importantly today, flags are no flags.
George Pickens and C.D. Lamb did not get in the end zone. Jake Ferguson did not have a reception
in this game, zero for zero. So all that being done, all that being considered, you got to be
happy with how the Broncos defense played today. And Sean Payton in his post-game press conference
as well talked about how, you know, they, I believe only two sacks today for the Denver Broncos.
So they didn't, you know, have the sack machine type of game that we've seen from them
throughout the course of the season. But they were in Dak Prescott's head.
You know, Dak Prescott, you know, was scrambling there a little bit, which is nothing new for
Dak. But, you know, the Broncos did a really good job of flustering him. And, you know,
maybe that didn't come up in the, in the sack numbers and whatnot. But you could very, very visibly
see that Dak Prescott was not the Dak Prescott that we've seen for a majority of this season.
And, you know, Sean also in his postgame press conference, you know, it's such a weird duality with
Dallas, right? They have the number one ranked offense entering into this game, but also the
worst defense in the NFL statistically. And Sean Payne said, we want to keep him there.
And the Denver Broncos did just that hanging 44 on them in this big time victory. Broncos now
six and two improved a four and no at home, believe that's nine consecutive wins for Denver
here at Empower Field. So the home field advantage is real with this Denver Broncos team.
And you've just got to be thrilled with the way that they played defensively today.
I mean, absolutely thrilled. Again, no dry green law out there. He was suspended for this game,
stemming from the situation that happened after the game against the Giants.
But everybody held their own. Alex Singleton, once again, the leader in the pack in total
tackles with 11. Chris Abrams Drain, who I alluded to, played well in place of Pat Certan.
Nine total tackles for him. Tala Noah Hufanga doing his thing with seven.
Riley Moss and Brandon Jones was six apiece.
And so it was really just a complete domination, all facets.
You know, you had Marvin Mims on special teams with a nice return.
The defense, you know, had Dak Prescott, you know, scrambling out there.
And the offense, which we'll get to here in just a moment, was firing on all cylinders
outside of that first drive where Bo Nix threw a bad interception.
After that point, after that point, everything was coming up Broncos in this game offensively.
So you got to love to see that, man.
And, you know, this is a statement type of win, in my opinion, folks.
This is a win. Again, I understand the Cowboys are a middling type of team in the NFL.
This wasn't the Joe Burrell as Bengals, right? This wasn't the rookie sensations with Cam Scataboo.
Hope he's okay, gruesome injury today, and Jackson Dart against the Giants.
The Cowboys are a respectable opponent specifically on offense, and the Broncos did a really good job of thoroughly
dominating this game in all facets. So let me know your thoughts in the comment section, folks.
I'm going to hit a quick break. When we come back, we will continue along with the conversation.
Let's zero in on the offense.
Big day for R.J. Harvey.
Big day for Troy Franklin, the rookies.
Let's also give a shout out what we're talking about defense real quick,
because Jaday Barron securing that interception there right before the half.
So the rookies played well today.
But on offense, it was RJ Harvey Lighten the World on Fire,
and Troy Franklin with a big game as well.
We'll break that down next right here on your Lockdown Broncos Postcast.
Back in just a moment, folks.

Okay, we talked about the defense.
Let's talk about this Denver Broncos offense this afternoon, folks.
I mean, they were absolutely on point.
Remember that stat about how long it's been since the Denver Broncos had a 100-yard
rusher in a single game?
Well, they now have another.
J.K. Dobbins accomplished that feat earlier this season.
He once again did that again today.
15 carries for 111 yards, but he is not the story of this game.
Nice game from JK Dollens with a 15 for 111.
But it was rookie number 12, R.J. Harvey with not one, not two, but three touchdowns in this game for R.J. Harvey, two of them coming on the ground, one of them coming in the passing game.
This is the R.J. Harvey. We were all excited and pumped up and ready to see when they drafted him out of UCF.
And it took a little while, right?
I think he's had about one touchdown leading up or maybe it was two,
but he scored point B before today's game.
But you saw him today just be dynamic.
Absolutely dynamic.
So shout out to RJ Harvey.
That is what you want to see from the rook and gives you a lot of hope moving forward
about this one two punch with J.K. Dobbins and RJ Harvey in the backfield.
He was sensational today.
Real quick, going to the Cowboys, the one good thing that you saw from Dallas on offense today,
bad thing for Ronko's country.
old pal Javante Williams with a couple of touchdowns.
And I don't think there's any bad blood in Broncos
country about Javante Williams.
I mean, he hasn't thrown any shots or fired any shots
and neither have the Broncos.
I think it was just a mutual parting of ways,
better for Javante to go elsewhere,
better for the Broncos to go in a different direction.
So, you know, I know Broncos country loves their former Broncos.
So nice to see Javante Williams score a couple of touchdowns
in a loss for the opposing team.
I think it's a lot.
If the guy was going to won,
probably wouldn't feel that way.
But nice to see Javante get back on his feet
as well. But yes, RJ Harvey with a great game. Troy Franklin with two touchdowns today as well,
six receptions for 89 yards and those two scores on eight targets. He was fired up. He was ready to go.
He was locked in. And Sean Payton talked about how they felt like they had some really good
opportunities in their game plan to utilize Troy Franklin as an X factor and a playmaker.
And they did just that here today. So love to see that from Troy and the Broncos offense as a whole.
Other guys, Cortland Sutton, four for 67. Good game from him. Pat Bryant.
getting involved, two for 40,
Edith Ingram, the Joker, four for 36.
So again, as the lights shut off on me, one second,
I don't want to keep pressing buttons,
so let me turn my screen brightness up.
There we go.
It's like a lot on Broncos postcast after dark.
But yeah, you know, a lot of different playmakers today
on offense for the Denver Broncos.
And Bo Nicks, you know,
it was looking a little dicey there in the first drive of the game
when he threw that interception.
But Bo ends up with a great stat line,
a magnificent game as Sean Payton talked about, 19 for 29, 247 yards, four touchdowns, and the one interception,
but a QBR of 82.8 and an overall rating of 111 or 117.4. So you got to love what you saw
today from the Broncos. Again, all three facets of the game. Offense, defense, special teams.
Marvin Nims of the kick return, Bo Nix, bouncing back, you know, Troy Franklin, R.J. Harvey,
all getting involved in the defense doing what the defense does. Love to see it. Absolutely love to see it.
Okay, what else? Let's do a couple of big pictures.
your thoughts before we get out of here. Broncos folks, you know, don't, you know, they're playing
excellent football right now. Six and two, at least today, you know, last week against the Giants,
good, fourth quarter, bad game as a whole. But, you know, this is now one, two, three, four,
five wins in a row. So after they lost to the charges and walk off field goal fashion, the Broncos,
the Broncos have ripped off five consecutive wins. Bengals at Philly, London against the Jets,
home against the Giants, home against the Cowboys. Love to see that, man, taking care of business
other Denver Broncos right now.
And next week, they're on the road, 11 a.m. kickoff local time here in Colorado.
But they take on the Houston, Texas, a winnable game once again for the Denver Broncos on the road in Houston.
So we'll see if they can make it six in a row.
But you've got to love the way that the Denver Broncos played in this game today.
And hopefully we'll be able to carry momentum moving forward after this game.
Want to see more Troy Franklin.
Want to see more RJ Harvey.
Want to see them run the ball.
And I understand that Dallas's defense was absolutely battered today with injuries.
and they're just not that good to begin with.
But you saw the Broncos to a certain extent,
you know, really utilize the rushing game today,
more so than I feel like we've seen them throughout the course of the season.
And, you know, I think that's a huge component,
a big takeaway from this game today is how the Denver Broncos were able to effectively run the ball.
Let me see if I could get you these splits here real quick.
They had the Broncos.
These are passing yards.
Where is my rushing here?
We had 179 rushing yards.
Yeah, 31 rushing attempts.
compared to 35 passing attempts.
So pretty split down the middle for the most part from the Denver Broncos.
I liked the balance that you saw from Sean Pade and his play calling today.
I think you want to see more of that moving forward if you're a Bronco fan.
And just unleash RJ Harvey, unleash JK Dobbins,
open up that play action passing game,
get Bo Nix into a rhythm and flow.
All of those things are going to lead to more and more wins for the Denver Broncos.
So RJ Harvey 3-3-Tuddies, Troy Franklin adds to Bo Nix bounce back after an early interception
and the defense does what the defense does.
All in all, it was a thorough, dominant victory for the Denver Broncos
as they take down the Dallas Cowboys, 44 to 24 to 24 and improved to 6 and 2 on the year,
4 and 0 at home, and away we go.
All right, folks, that was going to do for me on tonight's lockdown Broncos postcast.
Really, really appreciate y'all on your way out.
Hit that like button, smash the subscribe button.
You can also follow me on social media at media by AP.
Enjoy a victory Monday.
Talk to you guys next week.
Peace.
