I'm an I'm an I'm Aipiro, and somehow, some way is the Denver Broncos figured out a way to win another football game.
What a win.
Cody, work, 16-0-0.
No problem.
The Broncos, they'll find a way to score 30.
Sayer Bettinger, don't call it another comeback.
The Denver Broncos, this is who they are.
I'm Nick Ferguson and well, well, well, welcome back, not Mr. Carter, but that McGaver defense, welcome back.
Let's talk about it on today's Lockdown Broncos squad show.
Let's go, fellas.
From the South stands, it's the Broncos squad.
Everything Denver Broncos every week.
Covering all the big hits and game-changing plays from the Mile High City,
the way only the Lockdown Podcast Network can.
Gear up and squad up.
The Broncos squad show starts now.
Welcome on in to a victory edition, once again,
of your Lockdown Broncos squad show.
squad show. We've got the whole crew here today. And Ilo Piro Cody Works, Sarah Bedinger,
Nick Ferguson, reacting to the Denver Broncos 30 to 26 victory over the big bad Los Angeles
Rams on Sunday night football. Oh my gosh. Like there's so much to get into here tonight. Bo Nix,
bad in the first half, great in the second half. Defense good in the first half and really clutched
towards the end of the game as well. Um, play calling, head scratching decisions.
big plays and big moments.
Prime time, fellas.
This game had it all.
What's going on, guys?
Tell you what, man.
The Los Angeles Rams, they huffed.
They puffed, but they couldn't blow the house down in the mile high city.
I don't know if it's because our man, Nick Ferguson, was wearing Derek Williams jersey
because the Broncos honored all of their alumni back together.
It was great to see everybody.
Ferg.
I saw you represented down there at the D-Will jersey wearing it right now.
Champ was in the house as well.
It just almost seemed like, you know what the Broncos?
They can't have a letdown on the night like this, man.
They, they, they withstood.
I don't even know if that's a word.
Withstood.
We might sound drunk right now because it is 1 a.m.
And we've been up all day.
If you see my eyes, I've got the crazy eyes going on right now.
So I'm just, man, crazy, crazy.
What a game.
What a freaking game.
Unbelievable.
Sare, you know, you had a fun view for this one.
Cody, Nick and I were, well, Nick was running around on the field,
doing some stuff in the press box, too.
I was in the press box,
Cody was in the press box.
Obviously the energy.
Like I got to see like after the fact like,
you know,
some of like the crowd noise.
Like you hear it kind of through the glass,
but you're like not able to like fully grasp just how loud it is necessarily.
And I'm like walking out after the game.
I'm seeing all these clips on social media and like that place was absolutely rock.
I mean,
what was the experience like for you at home watching this game,
big guy?
Yeah,
it was awesome.
I mean,
obviously a roller coaster ride for sure.
Right.
We're all kind of just taking it in.
as it's coming and it's like I was telling Cody as we're recording the post game like what
I'm saying about the Broncos from my couch during the game is like what Clark Griswold is
saying about his boss here the end of Christmas vacation like I want you know I want him right
here I want to tell him what a you know what so that's how I felt when it's 16 nothing you
feel like man this team is lifeless they're hopeless they're there there you know what I mean
you fill in the blanks there they just don't have it and they
we're getting ready to embarrass us.
But then things turn around.
It just takes one play and you can feel like, yes, obviously, I'm not in the stadium.
But you can feel it coming through the screen because you can see the miscommunication
happening.
You can see all the players in the huddle, like leaning in a little bit closer or having to
crank their neck to be able to hear what Matthew Stafford is saying.
And you can see all these things that are being impacted by the game and just how ticked off
Stafford was like, for instance, end of the third quarter, play clock hits zero as well as the game clock hits zero at roughly the same time.
Not exactly the same time.
Should have been a delay of game penalty.
But that's just the impact this crowd is having.
They can't communicate out there.
And so it just the energy is what it is.
I'm getting texts all throughout the game.
You guys know how that is.
But it was awesome.
A win for the ages amongst many crazy wins for this Broncos team.
No doubt, no doubt. Nick, tell me about it from the alumni perspective. Obviously, you were
chilling with some former teammates and obviously some Broncos greats. I mean, saw you for a little
bit in the middle of the game, but just kind of give me a little rundown of what you were hearing
and what you were feeling down there on the field. Well, I can't really tell you what I was
hearing because there's FCC rules. But I can tell you guys were pretty upset. And when you
play this game for a long time, you see it a lot different. And you see it in fast speed.
or sometimes it even slows down, then most people see it.
And that was kind of, you know, the conversation.
And I was talking to a couple of guys who were on that Super Bowl of 50 team.
And, you know, they were upset.
And I told him, I say, listen, I'm going to say this to you and you're not going to believe it.
What the Broncos are saying going in the halftime, we have them right where we want them.
Right.
And it seems so obscure.
but this is what this team is.
And I kind of wrecked my brain with it when everyone was like,
well,
how does this team start fast?
It's never going to happen like that for them.
That's not their MO, right?
And somehow, you know,
call them panic ponies or whatever you want to call them.
But this is exactly what they love doing.
And the fans are now kind of hit to it.
Now, I'll tell you this now.
I can't tell you what we were saying or what I was hearing.
I could tell you what I was hearing from the fans, and they didn't like anything that they saw,
because when you go in the halftime and the Rams got 238 yards of total offense,
and the Broncos only have 67, that is bizarre.
That's wild.
I don't know the NFL record, but that has to be a low for the Broncos and a low for any NFL team
heading in the halftime.
And obviously, I'm talking about the Cleveland Browns too as well.
So things didn't really look that well for the Denver Broncos, but they picked up.
And for me, all you need is one play.
Someone to do something that no one anticipated.
And I was sitting there with a couple of guys.
And we were talking about what the Rams were actually doing against the Broncos.
They had a great game plan.
But one faulty execution that outplay, they had, I think, Kyra Williams outside.
And Carl Williams didn't run a great route.
He didn't run a great route because if he ran a great route,
it would have pulled Talo Hofunga out of the equation.
And Tala Noah Funga, good for him.
He jumped in front of it.
And it was a house call.
And just think about it, gentlemen,
what happened last week when the Broncos' offense was struggling against Jacksonville?
Turnover, Riley Moss.
And that changed the whole complexity of the game, man.
So it was great, man.
And this is what a heavy, great fight.
looked like. This was Rocky 3, Clubber Lane and Rocky Bob Boer, right? And the center of the ring
just won't go down. He won't go down. That's exactly what it seemed like. Yeah, it was just to paint
the picture. I learned from the Jacksonville game. The Jacksonville game gave me kind of like my
medicine of what I remember what this Broncos team is like. And I'm sitting next to my good friend,
Josh Doeve, and the press box. And they're down 16-0 going in a half time. And you bring up what was
They had 60.
How many yards was it in the first half?
67.
67 or 67.
I believe at one point,
Devante Adams,
I think had more receiving yards than the Broncos had total yards offensively
and a half time.
And I tweeted this out at Media by AP,
if you guys want to check me out over there too.
Like,
I will not start paying attention to the Broncos
until the eight-minute mark in the third quarter.
Like,
that's just kind of where I'm at right now.
Like,
like as long as it's not like a three possession,
like down and out type of scenario,
I am waiting right around the eight minute mark in the third quarter because that for whatever the reason is when they decide to wake up and flip the switch.
And I also believe this is like the second week in a row.
Like I've texted you guys in the group.
I'm like,
this is a disaster.
This is horrible.
And then it's like on a dime.
Like after I send that text message,
it's just like the offense like, oh,
Bo Nix is doing this and doing that.
And it's like it's funny because like I'm talking to my buddies.
I'm texting them.
They're watching the game.
Like Bo Nix was like they literally play like the worst two and a half quarters of football that you will ever see in your life.
And then it's like Bo Nix can't complete like a dink and dunk pass to the running back or a slant route over the middle.
And then he's threading the needle on a two point conversion to Jalen Waddle.
Like it's just like absolutely unbelievable.
And it's like impossible for me to describe.
So I think it's just kind of like, you know, when you're on like a roller coaster or like a water slide and you just have to like close your eyes and accept what's about to happen.
Right.
And like that's just kind of where I'm at with this Broncos team where it's like, okay, the defense is going to bend but don't break.
They're going to go up a little bit of points here in the first.
half. But when we get to that eight minute mark in the third quarter, get your fan
dual lap out because this team is going to flip a switch. And it's just unbelievable to see them
go from literally some of the worst football I've ever seen to a team that looks like they can
go out there and beat anyone in any given moment. It is absolutely unbelievable, fellas, truly.
Well, I mean, yeah. I mean, it was bad in the first half for sure. But we've seen worse football
under Nathaniel Hackett, though I would say, like, there are things like little things that
happen with the offense that I think drive me nuts more than anything. I'm
sure everyone here is probably going to agree, but for the love of God, when it's third and one,
third and two, can we get out of shotgun? Can we get out of the empty formation? Run the freaking ball.
Like, what is the third and one? We're going to throw it, air it out. It drives me nuts because
here's the thing. I don't know what it was. I was, I mean, I'm not sure what the broadcast was saying
because I'm there in the stadium, but I've got my binoculars. I'm looking. And I'm like,
okay, I'm not seeing Aaron Donald as much as I thought I would see, right? But when he's in, he's having
an impact. He's pushing guys back.
They were creating pressure. They were going after
Mike McGlenshy. They were going after Ben
Powers and Luke Wattenberg.
And in my head, I'm thinking to myself, I'm like, all right,
like, how do the Broncos get out of this hole? Because they
couldn't run the ball early on. They didn't finish the game with the
high rushing output, but they came out and they actually
tried to run a little bit in the second half.
It's just the third and one. We're going to empty it out.
We're going to throw it out of shotgun. We're going to line up
four and a half yards back to get five
when you only need one yard.
drives me crazy here.
And I don't know what that is.
I don't know if that's Davis Webb,
just being an inexperienced play caller.
But that's got to, the Broncos formula,
they got to help themselves in that situation.
Because to be honest with you,
there were moments this game could have really got away from them.
Like 16-0 against this Rams team early on,
felt like a death sentence because it's like,
hey, the Broncos are a good team,
but they're making these mistakes against a great team.
And I think the Rams are a great team.
I think that's a tough team.
I mean, we saw it at any point.
They could strike at any second with big place here.
The fact that Denver was able to stop the bleeding a little bit defensively
and on the offensive side makes some plays.
I mean, they had a promising drive.
Then Bo Nix doesn't have time to throw.
He gets hit as his arms coming forward and leads to an interception.
It's like, oh, my gosh.
And then thank goodness for Talanoa, Hufanga, man.
So happy for that guy.
Had a nice conversation with him after the game.
He and I both played high school ball in Oregon.
So we, you know, we've gotten pretty close with that.
But it was just, as Vicki says in the chat,
they were just trying to be cute on third and one.
They got to stop with that stuff.
They got to find a way to line it up and run downhill because if they do this,
like it's playing with fire essentially.
And I know it didn't burn them tonight.
And I know we've been saying this for almost a year and a half.
Like eventually, like what's going to happen?
They still find a way to do it.
But at some point, even Sean Payton said in the post game press conference to us,
he said we late in the season, late in the playoffs, we can't do this or a great team can't do this.
We have to understand why.
we have to understand why this continues to happen and how the team actually gets their winning result that they often do.
I'll take you guys back really quickly.
Before that Patriots game all week long, Sean Payton kept talking about the Broncos defense creating turnovers.
They were getting a lot of sex, but they were not creating turnovers.
Now they're not getting as many sex, but now they're creating turnovers.
that's a huge part of it.
And I know everyone once again heading into next week in San Francisco,
they're going to talk about the fourth quarter comebacks.
But if you continue with the fourth quarter comebacks,
it only points out the fact that your offense, for whatever reason, is deficient.
And I know the idea is, okay, we're going from Sean Payton to Davis Webb,
and we all thought that it would look different.
I don't know about you guys, but it looks the same to me because the results are still the same.
It is still the freaking same.
You can't really run the ball the way that you want to run the ball.
And like Cody, you talked about,
that was one of the biggest things in the area where I was with my former teammates.
I mean, guys were just losing their ish saying,
are we in shotgun and empty on third and one?
Why are we not running the ball?
And then the camera pan, right?
The NBC camera paned.
And then it was a shot of,
the press box, right, or the owner's suite.
So I saw Greg and Carrie Penner.
And guess who I saw this white-haired guy?
And I'm like, I know him.
It was Mike Shanahan.
And we all looked at each other and you like,
you know he would have ran the bow on that one.
And I was like, yeah.
So I'm like, what are we getting?
What's happening?
Well, I can tell you exactly what they're saying on the broadcast,
which was Chris Collinsworth essentially was saying like he felt,
and I don't know, because you guys know,
they have those production meetings going into the games and things like that.
They talk to the coaches and stuff.
Chris was saying, I can't remember the exact wording that he used,
but he said something to the effect of like Sean Payton was maybe three or four plays away,
Mike from taking away.
That's my terrible Chris Collinsworth impression, by the way.
That's my, he was saying basically Sean was three or four plays away from
taking away play calling from Davis Webb is what his perception was.
And they showed the half time post half time interview with.
Sean Payton and he was upset, like visibly upset with the offensive flow and the play
calling and the balance. And so it felt like that shift happened on that drive that was started
after a big time punt return by Colby Katzis to get them into Rams territory. And then they have
a short field to work with. You punch it in. You get the two point conversion. All of a sudden,
everybody's in the rhythm and flow. So it does, I think, go back to this team finding a way on
that first drive of the game, although against Kansas City, what, it was the second drive of the game.
So they played pretty well on one of the first two drives and they couldn't figure it out.
So it just feels like they're weathering the storm right now with Davis Webb calling the plays.
You're going up against a couple of, I mean, three really good teams, the chiefs, jaguars, the Rams,
they all look like they're going to be there in January, right?
So you're weathering the storm right now, kind of letting Davis Webb take his lumps in these huge moments.
in the craziest games.
Like Sean Payton is putting his faith in that guy.
And he's left it in his hands.
And it's, you know, two and one in September.
The first winning record he's had as Broncos head coach.
Crazy.
Let's hit a break.
I want to talk about the offense,
but they don't win this game.
I know they have 26 points.
They don't win this game without the defense.
I mean, only allowing 16 points.
I know that kind of seems like a lot in the first half,
but it could have been a lot worse.
than it was. And obviously, Talado Hu Foggo with two massive interceptions. So let's head
a break. We'll come back. Let's go defense what we saw from them here this evening and how
that ultimately helped push the Broncos to victory. All that more when we come back right here on
your locked on Broncos squad show. Today's episode of your lockdown Broncos squad show is brought to

All right, well, come on back into your lockdown Broncos squad.
Jo, Elipiro, Cody Roark, Sarah Beninger, Nick Ferguson, hanging out with you guys here
tonight talking about the Broncos 30 to 26 come from behind victory.
I think it's important for us to point out, you know, we talked about it.
friends and I have talked about it, the DeBroncos fans, folks, the radio stations have talked about it as well.
Like this idea of like regression in one score games, like may or may not be coming.
The Broncos find themselves two and oh so far this season in those one score games.
And that's pretty impressive.
Let's talk about the defense though, guys.
Let's talk about the good first.
There was some bad.
But Talanoho Fonga, man, his best game as a Denver Bronco.
And obviously that interception to seal the deal was the game winning play, obviously.
And he was the MVP, I think, for the Broncos in this game.
But that pick six house call in particular, fellas.
Like, I think it was Nick.
You just hinted at it a little bit earlier here.
Just a heads-up play exactly when you needed it.
Obviously, the Broncos, you know, tried to give it away on the following drive
when I, when the ranch receiver took it to the house call and absolutely destroyed
Raleigh Moss on that up and out.
But Talano Oufanga, man, what a game, what a performance.
Love to see that from him, Cody.
Yeah, I mean, this was Sarah and I were calling it the Talano Hufanga legacy and Redis
game for you because, I mean, he's, he's the energizer here of this defense.
That's one thing I wanted pinpoint.
Like, you know, there's these moments.
And I even felt like this last year, right?
Like, obviously he acknowledged all the dropped interceptions he had last year.
I think if you charted it, it was around four or five missed opportunities last year.
But there were a couple moments, too, where Blake Corum, Kairn Williams were about to break off a bigger run.
And then he comes up, stuff some pretty tough.
I mean, that's, he's got a hard job to do with the safety position there.
But for him, he came up with a huge sack that obviously put the Rams back, the interception, you know, obviously to win the game.
The pick six was very clutch reading that on the out route there to Kyron Williams and then stay in the feet because he almost got tripped up a little bit right there.
So a special shout out there to Crescent Valley High School legend Tala Noah Hu Fonga, man.
He instilled the spark, I think, in this defense that, you know, I think I wonder what this unit would look like without him.
I don't want to think about that ever right now,
but I think that it would be a drastically different defense.
I don't know if this Broncos team has as much juice without Huff.
I had multiple people text me after the game saying that their number nine jerseys are already on order at this point after the game.
They are ready to represent Hufanga after this game.
And understandably so, right?
I mean, he not only had the two interceptions in this game,
but he also had one of the biggest plays,
the sack on Matthew Stafford.
late in this game that pushed the Rams back, held him to a field goal.
And it was just a great game all around from him.
He was flying around the field.
That's exactly why he brought this guy in.
We talked about this when he signed.
My favorite thing about him when he was with the 49ers is,
it felt like your defense had 12 guys on the field when Hufongo was playing for them,
when he was healthy.
And I know he struggled with that at times,
but it just makes it feel like the field is condensed or like you have less options.
right when he's out there because he covers so much ground he's so instinctive and he's that heat-seeking
missile and when he's playing with the instincts that we saw against the los angeles rams i mean my
goodness it was impressive he could have had four interceptions in this game in fact i think the rams
have seven less points if he picks off the first one that came right into his hands and they scored a
touchdown after that that whole sequence happened in the first half and he had another diving attempt
would have been a tough, tough interception, but certainly got his hands on the ball.
So, I mean, it's just really, really great stuff from a guy that you expect a lot out of, right?
When you need your stars to step up when we're kind of wondering who's going to pick up the slack,
the pass rush isn't getting home as often.
And, you know, you need a big turnover in a big spot.
You need a big stop and a big spot.
And then Hufanga comes up with not just a big stop, but, I mean, a record setting interception,
because that put Matthew Stafford at number one all time for pick sixes in a career
for a quarterback.
So really good stuff from him.
And the return equally important because at that point, right, you needed the defense to
kind of score for you instead of, hey, let's not put it in the offense's hands.
Like we want to make sure if you can, I mean, outrun Matthew Stafford.
Don't get tripped up by the QB and Hufanga finished that play.
And it was a huge momentum shifter.
The reason why all of that that Sarah said was so important, remember last year with Tala Noho Funga.
There were a lot of possible interceptions and turnover opportunities that he dropped.
And a lot of those were kind of surprising where he's coming down to make a play and the quarterback throws the ball and then lady flashes his hands more so to protect himself opposed to catching the ball.
So that was the most important thing for me, watching him actually look the ball into his hands and come back.
down with the receptions.
And I know that people make jokes that, you know, DBs have just failed wide receivers.
That's not true.
But the idea is we get used of making contact because that's been driven in us.
We don't always look for the ball in those particular moment because we're taught to separate
ball carrier from the ball.
But the way things set up tonight, there were two excellent plays that Tylenono
Hufunga made on the ball, obviously the interception, one, the end of the end of the
the game. But the biggest play for me wasn't the interception. It was like Sarah talked about,
is that sack coming off the edge. And I told my teammates, I said, well, that sack is on
Matthew Stafford. You have to understand, and when you survey into defense, you have to understand
where guys are. And Talaunho Funga was right outside of the tackle. It was like, you have to
see him. And in most cases, if you can't get rid of the ball, you know, and giving it to the receiver,
you throw that stucker in the dirt.
You don't lose yards because now it takes you out of field go position.
And the Rams did a great job of moving the ball down the field.
And that score, albeit 16-0, I mean, it could have easily been 21, 28, even higher.
But thanks to the Broncos defense because they shut the door,
they forced them to kick field goes.
So I think there's much that needs to be said about that group.
There's much that needs to be said about Vance Joseph that I feel.
that it doesn't happen and it doesn't happen frequently.
When you listen to individuals talk, they talk about individual players, individual players' performances,
but you don't talk about the guy who is the maestro, if you will, that is orchestrating this defense.
And look, I know Vance.
I've watched him over the years.
And I hope that the way that people see the defense playing, all being in the fourth quarter,
or whatever it is, that it gives them an opportunity to get a head coaching job in
2027.
I hope so.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And Huff.
Or go ahead, Cody.
I was going to say, like, you know the one thing, Nick, that I, frustrated me a little
bit.
Like, obviously, we could talk about the defense and some things they did give up in this
game here.
Yeah, absolutely.
Late game, nothing stresses me out more than prevent zone, right?
Like, I understand the method to the madness, or especially when L.A.'s got one timeout left.
But I'm like, man, big sideline catch, big middle.
catch, they spike it. And it's like, now you got a shot at the end zone. I was like, man,
just prevent. I always feel like allows for big play opportunities to happen.
The way that this game was going a little bit, I don't know, I was sweating a little bit.
I ain't going to lie. They shouldn't have had a timeout either, by the way. That's a separate
conversation. Luckily, the guy had a false start. Yeah.
The clock management on that last drive for the Broncos, I know this court, I know it ended up
putting him ahead. But like, the fact that the Rams even had a timeout left to play with was
like driving me crazy because Devere just kept trying to pass the ball.
It went like empty backfield.
What was the third down?
I don't know.
We'll get into that our offense segment.
No, I know.
But it goes back to what we're talking about.
It's just like basic fundamentals.
I never played football like at a high level like,
you know, Cody, you and Nick obviously did.
But it's like basic football 101 that like you learned playing madden of how you should try
to manage a clock a little bit.
But that's a conversation for a little bit later on in the show.
Pass interference or not.
On the Pat Bryant out route.
Yes.
It's tough.
It's tough.
I feel like.
There's no PI.
That's no.
Okay.
Well, I, I, maybe holding.
Maybe a little bit of holding there before.
I thought Pat Bryant was more egregious than.
And that's just, they're both hand fighting.
They're both hand fighting.
So in that case, you don't call it.
You don't call it.
Yeah, let them play.
I agree.
Let them play.
I think never got away with that one.
Yeah, Pat had the DB by his right shoulder.
Right.
So the infraction should have been opi.
But give it to Pat Bryant.
And then this is what.
But I tried to teach.
That's right.
He effing sold it.
Right?
Because even though he was holding, he just contorted his body and threw his body.
I mean, you know, he did one of those bloody D-box flops or LeBron James Flops, right?
But he got the call in a critical moment.
Yeah.
That's the only thing that matters now.
The official in me are like, nah, no, we can't get away with that.
But, hey, sometimes the ball bounce.
How many times have we seen that go against Denman?
in the wrong way, right?
I'm just saying, right?
So it's bounced their way.
They got a little slice of what it's like to be a Kansas Chief fan.
Don't blow a 16-0-0 lead.
Absolutely.
That's fair.
Absolutely.
Penalties were an absolute killer tonight for the Rams, man.
They had 13 penalties for 91 yards.
Denver had five for 38.
Again, I think there were some questionable calls towards the end that obviously went the Broncos way,
which, you know, at least were man enough to admit that.
but that's just the way
the cookie crumbles sometimes.
Hey, look, you take that dog.
You take 100%
I didn't call it.
You called it.
Let it help.
And the way that Cody put it.
The rest of the world wouldn't feel sorry for you if Denver didn't get it.
Right.
So.
Think about Kansas City cheese, huh?
Exactly.
Yes.
I think Cody's spot on too.
It's like one of my favorite saying.
It's like when people love to point to the reps.
Like obviously like there are times where there are egregious calls made.
I don't think this was an egregious call.
I just think it was a bit of a soft call.
But to your point, I don't blow it 16 point lead.
You have to be good enough that you also don't lose because of the refs.
Like the refs cannot be a primary excuse as to why you lose a game
unless you're Sean Payton in the NFC championship game.
And that's a whole separate conversation because that was the biggest form of robbery
I've ever seen in my life.
Wait a minute.
Hold on.
Hold on.
I don't know this for certain.
I got to check back.
And it may sound 10 for hat theory.
I think I don't know if this officiating crew, but maybe the head of issue.
he was in that the cobie roby play yes the rams in the dome yes he was bill bit venevich so a little uh you know
i will say though i mean devil's advocate here my wife and i both jumped out of our seats
watching that play unfold saying pass real time call call the penalty my gosh and when the flag
came out we were like okay thank goodness because that
That's what it looked like in real time.
So the official on the field, watching this play unfold is probably thinking the same
exact thing.
Like that's an egregious, obvious pass interference.
But it, yeah, you slow anything down and you can see like, oh, wow, well, yeah.
I mean, give Pat Bryant a little Oscar for that one.
But I mean, yeah, it's, again, it didn't come down to one single play to determine the outcome
of this game, right?
But that call.
But that call was critical because if they don't call that, that's game over.
They might kick.
Yeah.
It's a rap at that point.
Because it's a pick at that point, too.
And, man, my whole thing was don't let this one go to overtime, right?
Like Denver got to, you know, Bo had the initial two-yard rushing touchdown.
He was out at the one-yard line foot.
I was like, oh, man, like this could go from you get a touchdown to where now all of a sudden
you might have to kick the field goal and tie it up.
And now you got to get a stop and just hope that they don't march down field.
kicker game when at Phil.
But which, by the way, that kicker for the Rams, I'm a Mazoo grad.
I watched that dude miss a lot of kicks, especially some clutch ones late.
And the dude can't miss in the NFL.
Like, what the heck?
Mevis.
The thicker.
I think his nickname is Thicker, the thicker kicker.
Yeah, he's pretty.
He's thick, too.
Rod.
I was like, man, that dude could play three techniques.
He's good.
What was that quarterback a couple of years ago at Kentucky, who was about 300,
pounds.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I forget his name.
Jared Lorenzen.
Rest in peace,
RIP, rest of peace, man.
Yes, RIP.
Yeah, that was a big boy.
All right, let's hit a break.
When we come back, we'll talk about the offense.
I've got some thoughts on Bo Nix and a couple of other thoughts on the Broncos.
When we come back right here on your lockdown Broncos squad trip.
David Harrison here at the Lotton Commander's podcast.
Talk about Butcher Box.
I'm someone who's always trying to make sure I'm getting enough protein for me.
me, that gets a whole lot easier when I've got a freezer full of the good stuff and I'm not stuck
trying to figure out what to do for dinner. And I like having that quality protein ready to go,
whether it's for the whole family or it's just for myself so I can avoid that dreaded takeout
order and butcher box delivers 100% grass fed beef, organic chicken, wild caught seafood and more all
source to standards. They can actually tell you about they've already done the work. So all you have
to do is figure out what's for dinner. So if you're looking for an easier way to get great meals on
the table. Give Butcherbox a try. Go to butcherbox.com slash locked on NFL. You get $20 off
your first box. Plus, you get your choice of free ribby. That's the way I went. New York
strip or filet mignon in every box for a year. And you always get free shipping. Always. That's
butcherbox.com slash locked on NFL. Again, butcherbox.com slash locked on NFL. Make sure you use
our link so they know we see. All right. We're going back into your lockdown Bronco squad show reacting to
the Broncos second victory of the year come from behind effort 30 to 26.
I mean, it is truly unbelievable, fellas, to put up zero points in the first half and get
outgained in practically every major offensive statistical category.
482 yards of offense for the Rams compared to 257 for the Broncos.
The Rams did have two extra drives 12 to 10 there.
Yards per play, you know, nearly six yards per play for the Rams, 4.3 for the Broncos.
Broncos passing yards, 366 for Los Angeles, 179 for Denver, rushing attack, 116 for the Rams,
78 for the Broncos.
I mean, even if you just look at the quarterback stats in particular, I mean, Matthew Stafford
threw the ball 55 times tonight or dropped back to pass 55 times, almost 400 yards passing,
390 passing yards for Matthew Stafford, two touchdowns, two interceptions.
Bo Nicks, on the other hand, here, 17 for 34 for 186 yards passing, two touchdowns,
one interception. And obviously, like, like there was two turnover worthy plays that were not
turnovers. Like in particular, there's like back foot across the field body throw that Cortland
Sutton was able to break up, which was just like a, I didn't even know what I was watching.
Yeah, no, it's just, again, it's just putting the bowl in harm's way at times, it felt like there
was also that J.K. Dobbins, I think it was fumbled and then picked up by Pat Bryant, I want to say.
Yep. So there was definitely some luck there. And then obviously,
It's interesting because there's those two turnover worthy passes from Bo and the one that ends up getting intercepted is on the deflection.
Here's kind of where I'm at with Bo Nix.
And I think the first one besides the chuck at one downfield.
What was the first one?
I think it was in the red zone.
I'm forgetting now because it was egregious or it was on that same drive, actually, I think.
So it wasn't in the red zone because I remember making a note of it.
But it was just.
He had one that hit Jalen Watson in the hands.
Yes.
Was that the one where they're running the boot action?
and Waddle was coming underneath.
Yeah, he dropped off.
Yeah, he dropped off.
Yep.
Which he sunk.
Like they were playing that cover two there.
He initially went upfield and then sunk back.
He was just there.
I mean, that was, yeah, that was a fortunate play.
The chuck it, like the cross body, like, you know, look, Boe plays a lot of yolo ball, which, you know, that can hurt him.
That absolutely can hurt him.
He's got to get some of that out.
Like, if he makes it right, if he makes a throw right, oh, my God.
If he makes that Chris Collinsworth is going.
crazy. Well, he probably would go crazy if it was Bo. But if it was Patrick Mahomes,
you're like, oh my God, Patrick Mahomes, the greatest thing to ever walk to earth.
Like stuff like that here. But I think the thing with Bo, how do you get him to a point
where he can come out here? Because I don't always think, look, I think part of it is on Boe,
obviously. He's part of the offense. But I think the offense and the slow starts, like,
I don't think they do a lot of great stuff to get him in rhythm. And I think they don't even
try to get the run game going early on enough. Like that, that plays a big part in it.
especially when it's predictable and it's third and 10 and you're dropping back and you're a half in the pass, right?
Or it's third and one and you go empty.
It's like, wait, what are you doing?
Now it's like now you let pressure get home.
Mike McGlinchy got absolutely worked by Aaron Donald on one play on where Boe got sacked.
And that's another story too.
I also feel like the offensive line, I'll be honest with you.
I feel like the offensive line has been so up and down this year.
Outside of Quinn Myers and Garrett Bulls, I have not been impressed with the offensive line in terms of consistency.
I think that's been a big reason why Bo is chucking these yellow balls down there as well.
He's got to stop it, but I think that's a big reason.
But see, what I'm seeing from Bo is a lack of confidence.
And it's not a lot of meaning a lack of confidence in his ability.
It's a lack in confidence.
And the one thing that was kind of put on the pedestal last year,
especially if you listen to pro football focus, and that's the offensive line.
Like you said, I mean, every player is going to have a breakdown every once and again.
But we're seeing the same players with the same level of breakdown.
And you're seeing defensive coordinators kind of working those particular guys using their schemes and it's not improving.
So you're absolutely right when he comes to Boe.
He's in a situation where he wants to go, go, go, go.
But the offense is a little slower than he wants to go.
So he finds himself in moments where he panics.
Now, he's got a little of, I hate to say this, at moments, he's got a little Jay Cutler in.
Right?
And the reason why I say he has a little Jay Cutler in him, because Cutler can make all the throws.
And you fall in love with his arm talent, being able to drive the ball down the field.
But what happens in those cases is that those quarterbacks that know that, they feel that, right?
And they see it.
Then it's an overconfidence thing.
And they think they think they can do it all the time.
I'm going to give you a Hall of Fame quarterback who may, I mean, he was phenomenal.
But he was also a disaster at the same.
time and that was Brett Farr, right?
The way that he can sling it, but also he would throw the ball back across his body.
Card Nuss in.
And maybe from ball, think about it now, the same kind of rollout, whether it was by design
or forced out last week, he hit the explosive to Jalen Wado.
He was in the same position again, but instead of his arm going this way, his arm went back
across his body.
So it was something about his ability that's in him.
Even Sean Payton was asked about it.
Well, how do you change it?
Now, Sean gave this long-winded answer that never answered the question, but I did.
You got to change it.
You got to get him into a rhythm early on.
If you don't, like any other player, he's going to start pressing.
Aaron Donald lined up in a two eye on Ben Powers on a key pass-or's third-down situation and
shot inside.
In my opinion, at times, like Sarah and I talked about it,
Quinn Miners versus Aaron Donald's going to be fun.
Those guys had some fun battles.
But I was like, man, they're lining up Aaron on Ben and they're lining up on
Wattenberg.
That tells you that they, defense coordinator say that's the spot.
That's the weak spot.
Yeah.
Sorry, Sarah for interrupting you, by the way.
No, no, you're right.
And that was a source, I think, of like what Nick's talking about,
the lack of confidence, right?
the interior offensive line and just not necessarily being able to trust those two guys in particular
powers and Wattenberg, the center. And that to me is a big issue that the Broncos do have to address.
Now, yes, the yolo balls, they get a little tiresome when things aren't going well for the offense,
but when things are going well and you don't mind your quarterback taking those shots, right?
I mean, Cortland Sutton was able to get back to that ball to the point that he was able to two-hand
swat it down. I mean, some people are saying, hey, why don't you try to make the catch instead
of swatting it down? I don't think he was going to make a catch in that instance. Playing defense was
his best bet in that situation. But you understand why Bo is making that throw because you see
Cortland Sutton finally coming over the top when the Rams had two safeties playing deep the entire
game. And they're giving up nothing. If you look up Bose passing chart from this game,
it was forced all underneath and they're waiting for him to test them deep.
And then he finally gets outside the pocket and he finally tries to rocket one downfield.
Well, there's two guys hanging out back there essentially, right?
And they did another shot play that Jalen Waddle had to play some defense.
They're just trying anything that they can to create explosives or to even just get the Rams out of their hair and try to get something in the short middle of the field.
You guys are right.
There's no rhythm right now to the offense early in games.
It's very much like a forced, hey, we've got to make fetch happen with the run game and the balance and all these things.
And then all of a sudden you're trying so hard to do so many things and you can't do any of them.
You can't do any of them well.
You're going three and out.
Jeremy Croshaw is the MVP of the first half.
And it's just not what you want.
You don't want to see him out there unless he's holding for extra points, right?
So figuring out ways to get boat and rhythm when teams are taken away.
I mean, Jalen Waddle, the Rams adjusted after the Jags got decimated.
The Rams adjusted.
Cortland Sutton, he's got to be your other option.
Well, then you have guys sinking off and, you know, going.
I mean, it's just, it's a difficult thing.
And that's where the play calling and play sequencing, I think really comes into play.
And that's where Chris Collinsworth, Mike Tariko, man, they were getting real critical of Davis Webb in the first half.
and kind of talking about like, man,
Sean might have to step in here
and take the keys back from the young coach.
That's where I'm back to because it's like when they struggle,
we're sitting there.
It's like, man, like Sean's got a tough dilemma
because it's like you have a team.
Like I don't think anyone can dispute that the Broncos, you know,
don't have talent.
I think they have so much talent at this point.
Like they do.
I mean, to put up 30 points in one half is crazy.
Put up 33 points last year in one quarter.
It's crazy.
The team has the talent here, but just like nothing ever seems to perfectly work its way in unison, right?
Like you look at San Francisco, they're banged up.
They go up and they put up 36 points despite losing a couple of their key weapons.
Like there's other teams that make some of the hard stuff look easy,
and the Broncos at times offensively make the easy stuff look hard.
And that's where I think the most mind-boggling to a lot of fans.
I think it's mind-boggling to us at times when we're looking.
It's like, why can't they figure out?
Why can't they just do the easy things?
I'm watching, gosh, I'm trying to think who the worst team in the NFL is right now.
Like off the top of the head.
The Titans.
I'm watching the Titans at least run the ball on 3rd and 1,
and they're picking up the freaking first down.
But there's little things.
I think so much for two, as what Sarah said, the sequencing,
that stuff certainly matters here.
And I think just for Davis, I think he gets tunnel vision sometimes.
It's like, hey, it's 3rd and 1.
All right.
Hey, we're at midfield.
Let's open it up.
It's like, no, don't open it up.
Run the dang ball.
And they did give it to biday on one like run where they motioned him out,
brought him back in, handed him the ball.
I like that we're seeing him start to do a little bit more,
that motion insert stuff with Nate Adkins where they're motioning
and then leading him right up into the A and the B gaps.
That's big.
But dude.
And even some other things too, Will Lutz missing a field goal.
Jalen Wattle having a drop on third down.
It's not just, you know, like there's things that Bo does.
But then there's things that when Bo does make a play or does give these guys an opportunity,
and then guys are also letting them down.
So it's like they're not getting the perfect combination of, I don't know, what's the word?
It's not the perfect snowball at that point, right?
It's just like your snowball's starting to build and then all of a sudden it hits a tree and breaks off.
Is that the type of snowball that's kind of yellow?
I don't know.
I mean, that's why, yeah, don't be any yellow snow, folks.
Don't be doing that.
Yeah, there's no more.
there's no momentum, right?
Like it, it just feels like momentum comes like in the blink of an eye, right?
And like to go back to that point that I was making
where it feels like this game starts midway through the third quarter,
like, for whatever reason, like it's just, you know,
they've had some drives in the first half that have been fine.
But like for whatever reason,
they're not able to like stack plays, right?
Like I think we saw that Jacksonville in the first half,
Rams in the first half tonight is like there's a clear effort to do certain things.
I mean, I got to be fair here, fellows.
Like I've never seen PS2.
get cooked the way that he was getting cooked today in this game against Devante Adams, man.
I mean,
Devonthe Adams had him.
Yeah, but here's the thing.
And I've said this before.
Devante Adams is one of the better runners in this league.
And the reason why he is,
well, he may not have that top in speed like he used to,
but he's really savvy at the line of scrimmage with those delayed hesitation type moves.
And PS2 did a great job with his feet.
but the way that you tag good corners with good feet,
you're not going to beat them vertically.
You're not.
And you may get lucky if you get him twice.
The way you beat guys like Dion Sanders,
Rod Wilson, Charles Wilson, hell, even Champ Bailey,
is you run slants on them.
Because when you run a slant on them,
those corners are top shoulder, right?
Those guys are top shoulder.
And if you're going to throw a slant,
now you have to find a way to move the inside,
second level of guy, which is the livebacker.
And teams are becoming very crafty at doing it.
For me, this season, it started with watching, you know, Christian Watson.
This is his name for the Green Bay Packers?
Yeah, Christian.
Yeah.
Yes.
And Jordan Love.
That's when it first started.
So the way the league works, once one team does something and they're successful,
you're going to see it again until you stop it.
And that's the best way to beat PS2.
and people, Nilla, you said to yourself,
oh, man, he was getting cooked.
You're in the NFL.
Someone's going to get you at some point.
They're going to get you.
They go find it.
Hey, people got to put some respect on Devante's name.
Like, we said it all week long.
Like, you got to put PS2 on Devante no matter what.
Coming off the game he had against the Giants,
it's like, that dude found it again.
That dude found the juice that maybe, you know,
at times last year, like, ah, does he still have it?
You know, oh, he's got it.
And he's got more than that as well.
He was really good.
last year, bro.
Well, yeah, but, you know, some people are like, oh, he's getting up there in age.
Oh, they can't, they can't make it out, you know, far on the playoffs, this not.
He's, he's, he's legit.
Like, DB4 in the chat says he's a Hall of Fame.
He and Matthew Stafford, those two guys are going on a half.
I mean, they've got Matthew, they've got Matthew, they've got D.A. Donald, Miles,
they got four at least guaranteed Hall of Fame players on that roster right now.
And here's the thing about Aeronald.
He's in great shape.
He's not in football shape yet.
And when that guy gets in football shape,
and when Miles returns,
oh,
well,
you know,
it's an interesting point by Quinn miners.
No,
no.
You know,
and here's the thing that I'll,
we'll hit a break after this and I'm just curious to get your guys'
thoughts because like obviously it's a great win.
But like,
this is also a Rams team.
Like what would this game have looked like if Garrett and Puka were out there?
Right?
Like do the Bronco,
like,
A win is a win. You take the win 100%, right? But I think it's also kind of feeding into, you know, one of the thoughts that we'll kind of round out the show with is like, I love that the Broncos are winning. And, you know, there's some Broncos fans that are frustrated, but also happy because you have to be happy with a win. But it's like at some point they're going to have to clean this stuff up, right? Like at some point, this stuff is going to come back and bite them in the rear end. And like, I don't know. Maybe they can just keep coming for behind and winning one score games. Maybe it'd be one of the greatest stories of all time in NFL history, of course. But at some point, offensively, defensively, defensively,
they're going to have to get right and kind of get those style points, right,
and look like a contending team for four quarters or at least three.
Wait a minute, Nilo.
Here we go.
I said that last year, right?
You know, I'm with you.
I said that last year, and it was like,
a win is a win, no style points.
And I get that until it doesn't work out for you.
And we saw it didn't work out for the team against New England.
But you're absolutely right.
We need to see a different team.
We all expected to see something different offensively,
but we're seeing the same old, same old.
Right?
So I'm like, who's actually calling the plays?
Not Davis Webb, is he just calling the plays that Sean put together?
Is that it?
Because this looks the same, unless you want to tell me there's something different.
No, I mean, look at the rushing yards tonight for Denver.
They had basically one rush for that was J.K. Dobbins,
who wasn't exactly efficient.
49 yards rushing on 17 carries
an average of 2.9 yards per rush.
They've got things to clean up.
I hated the first down,
JK, second down, RJ, third down,
badee.
Like, we've been asking for a three-back rotation.
I didn't mean it like that.
Be careful what you ask for, Cody.
All right, let's hit our final break.
We'll come back.
Some closing thoughts.
We'll put a bow on the show.
and away we go, reacting to a Broncos 30 to 26 dove over the Rams.
Today's episode of your lockdown Broncos squad show is brought to you by our friends over at Fanduel.
Welcome to your most rewarding NFL season ever only on Fanduel.
How rewarding are we talking?
More rewarding than a touchdown with time expiring,
which we all saw here against the Los Angeles Rams.
You love to see that essentially.
More rewarding than an 18-point comeback.
They were down 16.
Pretty close.
Maybe even more rewarding than an offense.
of linemen catching a touchdown this season.

I want to read this tweet that came across my timeline, which it's just be careful reading Twitter, man.
You never know it's going to pop up on your timeline.
Well, this one's from ESPN Insights.
So I think we're out.
I think we're going to be clear.
Bo, Bo Nix caps off Sunday night football with his 11th, fourth quarter comeback, including the playoffs.
The third most by any QB in his first three seasons since 1950.
only John L.A. and Derek Carr have had more. They've got 12 each. So, Bo, I mean, if this trend keeps up, you know, might pass both of those guys in L.A. and Carr. So we'll have to see. And here's the thing is, and you guys can feel free to disagree with me. I think the Bronco fan does have a right to feel a bit frustrated, you know, even after this win. Like you love the win. You're accepting of the win. You're happy about the win, right? But like, it's, there's, there's sort of.
So like I feel like there was more frustration in this game than jubilation personally.
Like especially like I mean, you're talking two and a half quarters before they flip the script.
And even after Hufongo with that house code, I give the touchdown up on the subsequent drive for Los Angeles.
Like, again, I'm not trying to nitpick.
And I guess I'm more so just trying to play devil's advocate.
Like I don't feel like phenomenally.
I don't even know what I'm trying to say.
Like I'm not feeling 10 out of 10 on this Broncos team.
That's what I'm trying to say.
Right.
Like, you know, normally with a win after that, like you feel really good as we do.
right but like I'm still like waiting to see more from the execution standpoint from this Broncos team so I'm happy I think they're two and one I've said they need to go three and three three three three six they're on a good shape here with the chargers coming up nineers a bit banged up we'll see what happens to Seattle they lost to the commanders today which was crazy anything could happen but that's my thing fellas is like I'm accepting I'm happy of this victory but I need to see them I want to see them continue to clean this stuff up as we move forward well here's the thing I'd say this through the first three weeks I mean this
This is football in general. It's not just Denver. I think you look across the entire NFL right now.
I feel like there's more parity than there has been in recent memory. Teams that were blowing people out week one and week two.
They're in close games. They're in dog fights. The Buffalo bills had their back against the wall against the charters.
And then they kind of ran away with it a little bit later on. Like we're not seeing any of these teams. I don't think we've seen a single team yet play this great satisfactory realm of football through three weeks.
So I always feel like there's always something missing, right?
And I think for this Broncos team, it's the first half stuff that's really missing for me.
It's, it's Will Lutz.
Like I think, you know, obviously it's not something we're talking about now,
but I want to see more consistency from Will Lutz.
And, you know, when the weather's bad, it just feels like Will kind of dissipates a little bit.
I don't know what.
And remember him after the Patriots game?
Yeah.
He kind of took some of that stuff real personal and was like chirping stuff online.
It's like he hooked it, though.
and it's like, all right, like, I get it.
You missed it from 43.
Like that loomed.
And it just kind of snowballed into something negative.
But like for me, it's, I understand the gripe.
Broncos country doesn't want to be in the situation where there are Apple watches
are saying, hey, check your heart rate.
I get it.
I get it 100 and 10%.
And that obviously the team offensively has to play better.
They have to figure out how to get off to a faster start.
My worry is like, all right, hey, when you get off to the fast start, don't fizzle out.
You have to find a way to sustain it.
I don't know if that team's playing that brand of football right now.
They have to find it.
But the fact that they can do stuff that we saw them do here on Sunday night,
it continues to blow my mind.
I don't have an answer for it.
And I know the defense,
they gave up some big plays too.
But in the big moments,
they also come up big as well.
And it's just,
I don't have an answer.
There's no,
there's no rhyme or reason.
The NFL is drunk.
Yeah, I mean,
you look around the league these first three weeks of the season.
And I think you've been watched the games in week three.
here and you could say, well, which quarterback performance around the league would I take over
what the Broncos got from Bo Nix in this game or which offenses performance would I take over
what the Broncos had against the Rams in this game? And you could say, well, the Jaguars. Well, the Jaguars
came to town last week and they lost to the Broncos. So you just don't know what any week is going to look
like. And to the point that was made earlier about, well, what if what if Puka was out there and Miles
Garrett, those guys were out there in week one and they got dog walked by the 49ers.
So I'm just, I just think every week is its own individual thing.
Every every individual change that you make to whatever lineup or whatever moment, it creates a butterfly effect that you can't know.
So it's like you just have to play the cards that you've been dealt.
And yes, this team does need the style points this year.
Last year was about establishing yourself as a powerhouse team and winning those close games,
flipping the script from 1 and 24, or 224, excuse me, in the one score games to finally
being situationally competent and proving that you can beat good teams.
So we can't complain about the team doing what it needs to do.
However, now you're graduating to the next level, right?
You've graduated from, I think it was out of place last year to say,
hey, this team, it's not good enough that they're just winning.
I don't think that's true.
I think it was good enough that they were just winning because they hadn't proven
that they teams like Kansas City and Green Bay and Buffalo and all these teams.
They ended up beating.
And now, though, now you need the style points, not just for winning by a bunch of points,
but now you need to show we are clearly, clearly better than the teams that we're playing.
But right now, you're playing the three and no chiefs.
you're playing the two and one jaguars and you're playing the potential
eventual NFC champion Rams.
These are tough teams.
So to come away with two wins out of three games, that's, that is good.
That is, I mean, it's good.
Like regardless of how it happened, the result is good.
So I think at this point, you kind of just wait and see how do these next 14 games play out
and how do the Broncos respond to their inconsistencies?
how does PS2 respond to getting beat up by the boogeyman?
That is Devante Adams,
who's had him since his time with the Raiders.
Like, how do these guys respond to getting their teeth kicked in?
That's, even in a victory, you can find those things in ways to get better.
Riley Mossa is the best, hard to kill, hard to kill, which that's true with this team.
I think some of the fans, though, in the chatter, make it some great points.
Because think about this this way.
Like, Vicki says it, this is so much better than the purgatory years.
I have to remember that.
Sure.
And then, you know, goes to DB 4L 303.
I've seen fans count down the play clock for Russell Wilson.
I've seen Paxton Lynch throw rubber duckies.
Like, think about it from this standpoint.
We are just a few years removed from the arguably worst disaster stuff.
Like, I will take this.
Denver Bronco's country has been through it.
They have seen the worst.
And Denver is playing better.
But they can't Denver can be even better than what we're seeing right now, right?
offensively, defensively, you name it.
This is a team that can be better and should be better, hopefully will be better,
and they can't get off to these slow starts, you know,
find a way to buck that trend a little bit.
But we're at this point now, it's like, I do remember.
And I always think it's great to find ourselves in the moment.
The stuff we're nitpicking about now is stuff that we were dreaming about, like,
competency three or four years down the road where it was so bad.
But, but Cody, the reason that that's happening is because it's the elevation of
the expectations. During those dark years that you're talking about, expectations were really low.
And now you were talking about, remember back in the day, you know, when we had this and they
were doing this and John Elway and Peyton Manning. Yes, that's what happens. And some fan bases
never get out of that seller. Right. They never get out of it. The Titans, think about the Titans right now.
Think about Cleveland over the past 20 years. Right. Yeah. So they never get.
out of it. So I understand it from a fan standpoint, right? I understand both sides of the coin.
Some of the fans are saying, hey, man, a dub is a dub. Go ahead and celebrate. And the other
fans are saying, hey, listen, we remember what purgatory looks like. And it wasn't great. And we're
not seeing a massive leap and improvement to the Broncos offense. Because what happens at a moment
when you don't have defense making some of those plays? Some guys get
nicked up. Now, you're just an average, a mediocre team at that particular point.
So, I mean, I understand the fan base being a little upset. You're celebrated, but don't
forget, it's still a long season. And if some of these things don't change, then there's going to be
a real problem because now it's not like, well, you know, this happened here. And yeah,
if you won, it's like, no, it's consistent. And you have a problem. And I feel, so the Brock
still have the same problem that they had last year, not running the ball.
Like Cody said, you got the running back carousel.
You know, you're playing a game of hokey pokey with your running backs.
It's like, no, leave that guy in and leave that guy out.
And once again, seeing that image of Mike Shanahan in the box with the pinners,
and I'm just thinking, what is he thinking at this particular moment?
Because you're going shotgun.
You're not putting bow on the center.
It's like, what the heck are you doing?
He's giving all the intel to Kyle for next week.
Yeah.
Well, we're going to have some fun with that match.
That's next week's supposed, right?
That's the next week's supposed.
Yep.
We're going to have some fun with that matchup on our second show here this week.
But for tonight, it is a 30 to 26 victory for the Denver Broncos.
An unbelievable spectacular come from behind fashion.
When is the win?
The Broncos find themselves now at 2 and 1,
with San Francisco coming up next.
Good stuff for Sarah Bedinger,
Nick Ferguson, Cody Work,
I'm Aem Aero.
Thank you guys so, so much for tuning in.
We'll talk to you guys here in a couple of days
and enjoy the Victory Monday.
Talk to you guys later.
Peace.
I need some sleep, man.
Yes.
Where does...
