What up chat? Everyone watching live on YouTube. We appreciate you guys. Go ahead and like it up,
commented up victory show here, our first of the season for the Denver Broncos.
We got the whole crew here today, AP, Cody Works, Sarah Beninger, and Nick Burgesson.
So, Cody, was that little waddle thing you did on the intro?
Is that what you had people hooting and hollering around the press box?
Because I mean, I don't think anyone was hooting and holler on the press box.
There was a lot of, in the first half, ooh, this looks rough.
And then the second half was like, ah, okay.
They finally called a pass interference call in the second half, which was nice to see.
My goodness.
Yeah, it was a, as Sean Payton said after the game,
a tale of two halves, right?
And obviously there was some bright spots for the defense,
some big bright spots for the offense,
but also some ugly moments for both of those units in between.
So I guess try to, or to rather open up the show.
We'll kind of talk about the offense and defense,
specifically in individual segments here on the show tonight.
But, I mean, just general reaction.
I mean, we were kind of texting at some point in the middle of the game
and even going back to our last squad show,
you know, is there such thing as a must win game
for a football team going in a week two.
And, you know, thankfully we don't have to think about the alternative,
alternative reality of if the Broncos lose this game,
they find themselves now at one and one, very gritty, very resilience.
Like I said, you know, a lot to clean up still.
But at the end of the day, fellas, Sarah, I'll start with you,
a hard fought, well-earned victory over the Jags.
It was.
It was really great to see.
Obviously, this Broncos team has built up some, you know,
they built us some thick skin because they were absolutely dismantled.
by the media, by the fan base, by, you know, my nephews, a lot of people, a lot of folks coming at me.
All the teenagers at church this morning that were, you know, razzing me about, they're like,
hey, the Broncos suck.
The Broncos suck.
And I've been talking up a big game all offseason.
Like, no, no, no.
The Broncos don't suck.
And then they come up to me.
They're like, hey, how about them chiefs?
And who did the Broncos play today?
And I'd be like, the Jaguars.
And they basically be like, oh, man, I'm really sorry for your loss.
You know what I'm saying?
So they showed some resilience in this game.
And it felt good.
From my vantage point, specifically, to get a win because, look, at 13 to 3, it wasn't looking like the Broncos were going to get a win.
But I thought what I, here's my main takeaway from this game.
Team football in the second half, complementary football, not just balance of running pass.
Team freaking football, the defense, getting off the field, the offense, converting in the red zone, putting points on the board, special teams doing their job.
Like everybody doing their job in the second half.
I mean, it was great to see, guys.
It's the Broncos team we expected all offseason.
Yeah, you got to love it.
Nick, your initial thoughts here.
Well, I'm going to piggyback off of what Sarah just said,
but it's going to sound a lot different.
What Sarah just ended with is this is the Denver Broncos team.
We expected all season.
And that's not great.
And the reason why it's not great, guys,
because we are seeing the same thing over and over.
And I know in radio, they always say,
Play the hits, play the hits.
I don't like these types of hits.
And what I mean by that is that what did we see for the first three quarters of a game,
the offense really couldn't do anything.
They couldn't find.
No, no, no, no.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
Three quarters.
Come on.
Two.
Their first three possessions were punched.
They don't probably moving the ball.
Here we go.
Wait a minute.
Third quarter was only three points.
Fourth quarter was 14 points.
But they moved the ball.
That's when they came back.
So listen, everyone has their own opinion.
I'm going to be tough on this team because expectations are high.
But basically what we saw was similar to a repeat of what we saw last season.
And we all know, we all talked about, well, the fourth quarter comebacks by Bo Nix.
Well, guess what?
That's great because you show that you have the propensity to score when you need to and the game is on the line.
I give you credit for that.
but it also points out that this offense is still slow to go.
And what I saw in the second half, I would like to see their entire game.
Because when Bow was here as a rookie, the one thing that we saw, speed up the clock.
Sean Payton said through the pre-draft process, the reason they select the Boe,
because his ability to process information very quickly, when you go up-tempo,
it's amazing what you do for your quarterback when you're able to get the plays in quick,
And what they tried to do is, hey, quickness was rushing up to the line of scrimmage.
But they were rushed up to the line of scrimmage, but every play wasn't like this.
But when they did it in the fourth quarter, what actually changed?
So we saw the team win.
I'm not trying to take that away from them.
But it was just the same thing that we saw last season, slow start, fourth quarter comeback.
Thank goodness, they have that Broncos defense.
That's all.
The first, yeah, their first three drives.
were punt, punt, punt, and really what killed them on those first two drives, penalties.
Once again, like they had a third and 11 on their first drive, then they had a third and 15.
And, you know, and the thing that drives me crazy about the offense is that they do it to themselves, right?
Too many self-inflicted mistakes.
And then, all of a sudden, you know, hey, you go from a third and three on one point.
All of a sudden, then you're now at a third and 11 because of this, that and the other.
Like you have, there's been this imbalance so far.
We saw it in week one.
We saw carry over here in a week two early on.
Their first three drives, punt, punt, punt, punt.
okay, that was problematic.
That was rough.
Even when they had the run game going a little bit,
JK had a couple of runs here and there.
But after that, outside of the interception,
which, I mean, don't even get me started on that.
That was a bad decision, bad floating off the back foot throw.
Corner did a great job sinking back there.
That was a bad interception by ball.
I think we can all agree on that.
But every drive from that point forward,
they were scoring.
They didn't have trouble moving the ball.
They didn't have trouble moving the ball on the interception drive there.
It was the turnover that was costly.
The Jaguars right before half, they marched down field pretty quickly right after that,
got some points before halftime.
And luckily Denver was able to buckle down, though.
And then all of a sudden, the offense in the second half,
it almost, they started to get in rhythm a little bit.
The run game started to help out.
You know, you lose JK for a little bit,
but Tyler Bade is catching a pass out of the backfuls for a big time first down, right?
Debrae had some of these plays where they're going forward,
and then there's one play where they're going backwards or a negative play here or there.
I thought Bo did a great job avoiding Saturday.
because the Jaguars, they sent a lot of pressure his way.
Sometimes it would be in the A gap.
Sometimes it would be off the edge,
not from an outside defensive end or an outside linebacker,
but they would blitz a DB.
They dropped back and played a lot of zone.
And then the Broncos and Jay Lenoano,
they caught them in man coverage at the opportune times in this game.
So they got to find a way to just be more consistent.
I think one of those bigger keys here,
and we'll probably obviously talk about it running the football.
Jonah Coleman was the guy that really kind of got the run game going late
when it mattered against this Jaguar's defense.
Yeah, I mean, I think I find myself halfway in between U2 and Nick, right?
Like, I think at this point, like, one of my favorite sayings just like in life is people
tend to act out of inspiration or desperation, right?
And I can't like the Broncos, if they would have lost this game, like they would have been
okay, I think, right?
Like it wouldn't have been like the end of the world.
But like in some ways, like it felt like this team was a little desperate.
The fan base might have.
I mean, the end of the, oh, what.
And one was the end of the world.
You should see our mentions all week.
I've had so much fun.
You know, tonight I'm going to go, you know, sit in bed.
My wife's going to be asleep.
But I'm going to be sitting there.
I'm going to be scrolling all the YouTube comments from all the Jaguars fans that were talking smack all week saying it was going to be a blowout this.
And I'm going to have fun tonight.
That's what I'm going to do.
I think the entire.
I think it was CBS.
I forget if it was someone else.
But I think like every panelist pick the Jaguars to win this game, right?
And it also it also goes to show you like, you know,
Week one is certainly an outlier, and obviously we'll have to see what the rest of this season looks like,
but I'm staying in the locker room after the game filming Zach Allen's post-game media availability.
He made the comment of like, you know, for whatever the reason, like we tend to start slow.
You know, and he goes on to talk about, I believe, like, how we're a resilient bunch.
I know for a fact you mentioned the start slow aspect of it.
So I do think that there were shades of last season's team, but also they were desperate to go out there and get the win.
And at the end of the day, that's truly all that matters is you had to figure out a way to get a win.
And the other thing that I kind of forget about this team,
kind of going back to what Zach Allen said for just a moment,
is like we are,
we want this like instant gratification, right?
I'm like Davis Webb's the new play caller,
Jalen Waddle, right?
This defense was an upper echelon unit last year.
When it doesn't look perfect out of the gate,
in particular on week two,
we all start to panic.
But this Broncos team,
at least in the Sean Payton era,
it's less about starting slow,
but it's more so about like the cream rising to the top, right?
And I think that's what you saw is like the first half was pretty
about third quarter.
All right, you're revving up the car a little bit.
And then by the time we got to the fourth quarter, we're cruising on the highway, baby.
Let's go, right?
I was going to, I mean, I was to say this team doesn't panic, which is good, right?
Yes.
Like, I feel like sometimes if this was a team that did that did panic, they would have pressed a lot more.
And, you know, once again, like that they didn't change defensively.
I liked it.
They didn't change how aggressive they wanted to be, even though Trevor, there were some
throws Trevor Lawrence was making where he was surgical, right?
And he's just making a great throw.
I hated.
I absolutely hated.
I think this was right before halftime
where Lawrence throws a pass,
I think to Parker Washington that hits the ground
and they rush up.
It's like how come the Broncos,
how come the replay booth couldn't win there and look at that?
Right.
They accelerated.
They look at it for other teams,
but why not in that situation?
I just,
the momentum was getting away from them
towards the end of like the first half
and a little bit into that second half too
because the Jaguars,
they marched down the field with relative ease.
And they kicked the field to go to go up,
obviously 13 to, what was it, 13 to 6 at that point?
Or was it 6?
Something like, 13, 13.3.
So they were down obviously pretty significantly, you know, 10 points at that juncture.
And then Riley Moss's interception happened.
That really kind of changed the whole tide of the game.
And then they started to play complimentary football.
But the slow starts, they, I know we've talked about it.
I know the players and the team have talked about it.
The slow starts are the one thing.
They've got to find a way to get away from these slow starts.
And the number one thing, in my opinion, Sarah and I were pounding the freaking table for it all week long.
Run the dang ball, right?
Because people were saying, well, it's the Jaguars.
That's the number one run defense last year.
They got a great front.
I understand that.
But you can't let that just say, all right, they got the number one front.
They got the number one run defense in the NFL.
We just can't run the football.
The Broncos ran for over 100 yards in this game.
It wasn't pretty by like one guy specifically having a large amount.
But, man, they found a way to get it done.
But if they could eliminate the slow starts, this team can.
can be maybe what we've all talked about what they can be, but they got to do it sooner rather than
later. You know what, guys, I know fans don't like what I say. Maybe you guys even don't like it,
but I'm going to talk about it from a different, you know, perspective, because the expectations,
like Cody said, like the expectations are always going to be high for this team. There's 32 teams.
We can't say that about every single team.
So I can understand how some fans look at it and they want it to be perfect.
You're never going to play your perfect game.
But the idea is to get as close to it as possible.
And listen, I don't think there's anything wrong with, you know,
validating the guys for getting the double you because at the end of the day,
that's the most important thing.
But also talking about some of the things that stand out that are still issue.
For instance, you know, in the red zone, hey, they were two for five.
I mean, they show that they can move the ball down the field,
but it's about getting the ball across the white strike.
They need to score more and not have Will Lutz kicking field goals, first and foremost.
Then there's the penalties that Cody referenced.
You can't have drive killers and drive extenders,
which takes you out of field goal position or when someone gets a great play,
it's now pulled back because there's a penalty.
The other thing is third down.
You're 4.11 on third down.
What that means to me is that, hey, when everyone looks at time of possession and say, well, hey, the defense couldn't get off the field.
You know how difficult it is constantly playing defense, having to stop some of these elite teams.
And Cody just talked about it.
When you look at Trevor Lawrence, man, he was dishing.
He was throwing into tight windows.
He was making, like, you know, great throws.
Sometimes great throws and great routes are going to beat great coverage.
I don't care if you have PSU or you have Riley Moss.
But the idea is to point out these things.
And I'll end on this.
We were here last year.
And I was saying the same things that there are certain things about this team.
They need to show up.
And there are people on the thread, you know, just kind of Nick Fergus, a wet blanket.
And then those things started showing up later in the season.
And then I just sat back and say, listen, I told you so.
If you don't fix them now, they're going to,
prove to be problematic.
That's all I'm saying.
Sarah?
Yeah, no, I,
you know what?
I'm sorry, I've got the butter in hand.
Nick, you know what?
I think you and I both will.
We need to both not read the comments because,
you know what?
We're both getting slammed in the comments.
Yeah, get these two little,
get those Chiefs loving dweaves out of the comments section, man.
It's all good.
A bunch of dweeps.
It's okay.
I mean, everyone's the title to have their opinion.
everybody is yeah and you know what opinions i've been i've been told are like uh well i'm not
they haven't they all stink everybody's got them and they all stink where's those
doer wipes when you need them where's them where's them there you go but i i appreciate
the sentiment right i get it and i understand the sentiment of like hey this is where the broncos
they have to be better because this is a championship caliber team so you hold a championship
Chalibers, you know, team feet to a fire, right?
And you say, hey, like, this is what has to be done if you're going to be a true
contender in the AFC.
But we have seen that the Broncos rise to the occasion against a lot of really good
teams now.
I mean, quite frankly, like last year, they got the brakes beat off on by Jacksonville.
That was the only blowout loss of the year.
And then they go and the playoffs and they beat Josh Allen.
And they like, look, look at Josh right now.
Everybody's wondering how the heck the Broncos beat Josh Allen.
And I'm sitting here saying because the Broncos are a freaking good football team, people.
Like, yes, they're not a perfect football team.
Just like there's no perfect roster in the NFL, very rarely are you going to have a perfect game in the NFL?
And I know Josh Allen's had probably a couple of those to start the season.
He's had a couple of good perfect football games.
But the Broncos as a team, they are just, they're just, they're always going to be there for the most part.
I know not against Kansas City week one,
but they're just one of those teams that's like,
like Anilos said earlier,
the cream rising to the top.
Do they need to be better in the red zone?
Absolutely.
Do they need to have fewer penalties?
Absolutely.
Could they give up a few less deep passes on second and 20
or first and 20 or whatever it is?
Yeah, like let's do that.
Let's do those things.
But they rose to the occasion in week two
when to the point that was made earlier,
really nobody thought that they were going to be able to do that.
And so I think that it's a testament to this team's mental resolve.
They're just understanding that they are a good team.
And it feels good to get this victory,
especially after all the heat that they took last Monday night.
Yeah, I think it's just like you wish it wasn't so frustrating sometimes, right?
And it's like going back to what Sean Payton said,
like this tale of two halves.
Like if they play like they did in the second half every single game for all four quarters,
like we're loving life.
It's awesome.
Right?
And it's like, I think people want so bad.
And I know they haven't won a championship.
But just like, just like looking at the bills, just dog walking teams, right?
Like, I think that's what the Bronco fan kind of craves.
It's like maybe just give me, like, not a stress-free game because I don't think there's anything it's such, you know, anything that is stress-free when it comes to winning these football games in the NFL.
But like, there's points to the first half of this game where you just like want to rip your hair out.
It's like, is Davis webbed the right play caller.
That's a terrible interception for Bo Nix.
Like, what's going on here?
What's going on there?
And then the second half comes around and it's like everything's okay, right?
So it's a roller coaster ride.
That's the best way to explain it.
This Broncos team last year, so far this year,
and the two games is the definition of a roller coaster ride.
I will say, like, there was a point.
I know there was a point here specifically about,
I would say in the first quarter, even in the second quarter,
I'm like, can Sean Payton be patient anymore at this point?
Like, I was starting to feel that way with the way the offense was flowing,
the penalties, just the inconsistency, you know,
the delay of game penalties that you're getting,
you know, it's like,
can Sean Payton sit back and be patient
with Davis Webb in a situation like this?
With the team and with the players that these guys have right now,
is this something you can just sit and afford to be patient with?
I was thinking that.
Like, honestly, I was during the game.
Well, hold on for a second.
Before you go to break,
I want everyone on a thread to kind of know this.
And Sarah, you didn't get this aspect of the game.
But what Cody was talking about as far as some of the mishaps
and people questioning whether Davis Webb is the guy
because they were running a lot of swing routes.
They were not pushing a ball down the field.
It seldom do you hear it and then power field, right?
We got a little taste of it last year,
but the fans were getting restless.
And a couple of booze kind of rang out, right?
Oh, yeah.
It got bad for it for a moment.
Luckily, Riley got that interception
because if he did not, oh boy, it was about to get worse.
Well, look, and here's the other thing.
We'll hit a break right after this is like the teams.
I know Super Bowl 50 was like a defense oriented team.
Right.
Like the best versions of the Broncos have always been like these offense powerhouses, right?
Like with Elway and TD and Rod Smith and McCaffrey.
Then of course the Manning era, which, you know, Super Bowl 50 was a defense first team.
But that era, I think, is more so defined by record setting offense.
It's like the Bronco fan to a certain extent is accustomed to like that high octane offense,
excuse me. And the defense is great. I know Nick's shaking his head, but like it got to,
it's true, right? Like when you think of like the best Broncos teams of all time, like you're
thinking of that late 90s, Elway, you're thinking of that 12, 13, 14, 14, 15 round with Manning.
So that's part of it. At the end of the day, a wins a win. And part of the unlocking this high
octane offense, which we're hopeful for is Jalen Waddle. And boy, oh boy, did he have himself a few
mile high moments today. Let's take a quick break. We'll come back. We'll break down
Waddle on the offense right here on your lockdown Broncos, Squacho.

Okay, welcome on back into Locked on Broncos Squatcho.
Reacting to the Broncos 20 to 13 come from behind one score victory against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
I know that was a big stat that was thrown around on the offseason about some regression
when it comes to winning games that are decided by one score.
The Broncos are now 1 in O in that department here tonight with their win.
And we'll talk about Jalen Wallet, just a couple of stats here to throw out the Broncos.
I mean, look, man, like I thought Jacksonville's offense, obviously,
the first half was great.
And we'll talk about them in the second second or in the upcoming segment, excuse me,
but the Broncos nearly doubled them up in total yards.
392 total yards of offense here for the Broncos.
Bo Nix and the offense combined for 288 passing yards.
They rush for over 100 yards, which you like to see as well.
The penalties are certainly something that they need to clean up.
But I think the two shining stars, no disrespect to Nate Atkins with a touchdown,
are Jalen Waddle and Jonah Coleman.
Let's start with Jalen Waddle, the Broncos prized offseason edition,
eight receptions for 138 yards, a long reception of 49 and targeted 10 times here tonight,
an average of 17.3 yards per reception. Mr. Waddle was phenomenal today, fellows.
This is why you went out and you got him. This is why you traded a first round pick for this type
of player. I understand Monday night was very frustrating and disappointing because three targets
specifically. You know, it's like, wait, you traded a first round pick to go get a guy.
You're only going to get him three targets doing so much of it changes based on what the defense
does, right? You get different looks, zone, man. But I just felt like there was a concerted effort
to get Jalen the football here, especially in third down. There was a,
even one point two where I don't think anyone, I don't even think Bo Nix, and Sarah said this in our
postgame show, Bo Nix's not used to having someone who was as wide open as Jalen Wada was on that
third down late in the game that helped them. So just a game changer, inside, outside, put him in the
backfield, slot. I mean, it doesn't matter at this point. Jalen, they caught him in specific times.
They caught the Jaguars defense and man, and Jailen made him pay. Yeah, I don't like this whole idea
in concept of putting speed guys in the backfield.
I think that limits them and it gives the defense somewhat of an advantage
because from a defensive standpoint, you can see what's coming.
And as long as the guys behind the line of scrimmage, he can't really hurt you.
But seeing Jalen Wada, once again, this is where the fans that in Power Field were getting
a little restless because they didn't bring Jailen Wadier to here to just dump off passes
him in the flats or use him as a decoy running those swing routes.
you want a guy like that running vertical.
Like before Waddle came here, it was Marvin Mims.
And Marvin Mims wasn't utilized as much.
But you can see there was a concertive effort to run the ball in this game
and get Waddle the ball, you know,
because they had to hear all the noise, all the narratives,
because everyone was talking about it.
Nationally, they were talking about.
Locally, they were talking about it.
So the ideas that they had to find a way to feature these two guys.
And the only sad part about it, guys,
is that we didn't see Jaylon Wado actually get into the end zone.
But we saw him on a lot of creative plays.
Plays last year that we saw a lot of number 14 actually running the deep overs.
Now that person has flipped Rose and now with 17 and Jaylon Waddle.
I couldn't love it more, honestly.
I mean, when you look at that week one game, the contrast here in week two
where in week one, one catch for two yards on three targets.
I mean, it was terrible.
It was just an absolute.
embarrassment with the way that they got him involved in the offense in week one. And I understand
like guys get covered, blah, blah, blah. No, get your top playmaker the football. And they didn't do
that for Jalen in week one. And they course corrected in week two. I think honestly,
short of them hitting the ground running with Jalen Waddle, week one and just like immediately
getting off on the right foot, that horrible game might have been the best thing to happen
because it forced them to sit there and look and be like, okay, we can't let's,
that happened ever again. So it only is going to happen one time. And I've been saying,
I think this week, all week, like minimum eight targets per game for Jalen Waddle. He gets 10
targets in this game, eight catches, 138 yards, averaging over 17 yards per catch, just outstanding
stuff. And it did over the course of this game help open up the run game for Jonah Coleman in the
fourth quarter, the threat that Jalen Wadle presented to the defense. That on second and 11, you don't
think the Jaguars were worried about what number 17 was doing on his side of the field.
Jonah Coleman is busting it up the left sideline for a 12-yard game to seal the victory.
And that's, that brings me to my, my one thought about the one-score game stuff is like,
not all the one-score games are created equal because the Broncos could have ran right into
the end zone on that.
It was, I mean, for all intents and purposes, it's a one-score win.
But man, they, they were running away with this game, literally at the end of it.
And that's why I think this is something.
to build on offensively, not just say, flash in the pen, or not just say, hey, they caught a string of
good luck or, man, it was out of the norm. I think they definitely have something to build on.
Like I said earlier, this is what you wanted to see from the very first snap of the season.
Unfortunately, that wasn't the case.
But in the second half against Jacksonville, even a couple of drives in the first half didn't end well,
man, you saw this offense moving the ball and those explosives back with number 17 as the focal point.
Let me pose a question to you guys really quickly.
Sorry, Cody.
Why do you think it took for the team to have an embarrassing moment
and only getting Jalen Wado three targets in Kansas City to have this turnaround?
Why?
Does it have to take this in order to get them to change their mind
when we talk about how brilliant these guys are as play callers and play designers?
Why would it take that long?
See, I think it's just the mystery of week one, right?
I mean, obviously, going against the Chief's defense, you have an idea.
You know who the coordinator is, right?
You know what he likes to do, but they did have some changing up of the personnel.
They had a lot of their main guys back.
But the challenge is, how are they going to try to counteract some of the things that
new play caller Davis Webb was going to do, right?
And I also think, too, Davis got in his head a little bit.
He even made mention of it, too.
There were some things, he said, I wish I would have gotten some plays I wanted to get
too faster, right?
Or some of my favorites.
And I've learned that sometimes you've got to go to your favorites.
You don't have to think or overthink that maybe the right opportunity.
going to come up at some moment. If you feel confident about something, you got to go out there
and do it. I just, and it was a slow start. And you could tell Davis was frustrated because
here's the thing. Both was interception. That's not on Davis Webb. I thought that was a well-schemed
up play. You feel like you get the cover zero look. The nickel corner ends up dropping back and gaining
depth on Cortland Sutton on the corner route there. But what you're also frustrated about is
your guard and your center on the third downplay on third and gold. They don't even move when the
ball. Like everybody else is moving. They're stopped. And all of a sudden,
J.K. Dobbins is gassed and he can't get anywhere. That's not on Davis. I just think, you know,
where Davis could probably be better, in my opinion, is like when you get to third and three,
third and four, I'd like to see less empty sets offensively going forward. I think everybody in the
fan base certainly would as well. But I think in the second half, we started to say,
okay, now you can be complimentary. Run the football, throw it. And so much more manageable when
you're not third and 10, third and 15. The penalties offensively subsided in the second half there.
That was a big reason. But that's what really.
really hurt them. I would say more than anything against Kansas City. So I just think that's how
the game plan unfolded week one, the mystery of not knowing. And now it's just trying to figure out
the learning curve. I think for a guy like Davis. Here's a question. I have. Sorry. Sorry,
Daniel. Do you guys think after two games like Cortland Sutton, we don't, we haven't got a chance.
Maybe Tuesday we'll talk about this with the Broncos kind of, you know, paying up front all of
Cortland Sutton's future bonuses that are pro-rated and things like that,
the two interceptions that Bo Nix has thrown this season came on passes to Cortland Sutton
in which Cortland gave less than ideal effort.
Let's just put it that way.
Okay.
I know Bo didn't make the best throws either.
You know, Delane basically ran Cortland's route for him in week one.
And then here in this game in week two, I sat there watching this game and I thought to
myself, man, that was a really dumb throw by Bo Nix.
And then I watched two receivers in the late window bail out the quarterback making a very,
very identical throw.
One in particular, a Raiders no name wide receiver who came down with basically the exact same
play.
So I'm not trying to be a Bo Nix truth or anything like that, but I do think there's
something to be said right now about the fact that maybe equal blame is out there for Sutton
in terms of the ownership that needs to be taken.
for some of these interceptions happening
because you're a six four receiver going up against a five foot 10 slot corner
who's basically just waiting there for the ball.
And I just don't think,
I don't think Cortland is showing the explosiveness we need to see.
I don't think he's showing the dog mentality at the catch point that we need to see.
I feel like maybe there's, I don't know, is there,
I'm maybe reading into it, making him out of a molehill,
but Jalen Waddles that dude now.
Jalen Waddle's like, hey, he comes to town, 10 targets.
Let's go.
Well, Cortland was the guy who, remember against New Orleans two seasons ago, said nothing for a first half of getting zero targets.
And Bo Nix was like, dude, you need to tell me when you're not getting targeted in the first half.
Like, I want to get you targets.
So Cortland's been this guy who threw it all through the highs and the lows with this team has been a team player.
And I don't know.
I'm not saying that he's deliberately showing poor effort, but I am saying that we're not seeing his best.
and I think that that came across against both the Chiefs and the Jaguars.
I think we need to see more of the season play out.
I don't think we can come to these conclusions this quickly into the year.
I think it's worth noting, and I think you did an excellent job of that.
So the one thing I could say to, and Cody, you were probably with me in the post game.
Cortland was one of the happiest dudes in that locker room.
Yeah.
Talking up Jalen Wattle, talking up Bo Nix.
So like if what we're saying is what we're seeing body language-wise on the field,
That's not translating to what we're hearing when the cameras are on after the game.
But I don't think that's not what Sarah's saying.
He's not saying that we're writing him off.
What are you saying is that on contested throws, fight for the ball, right?
Show a little aggression because, yeah, quarterbacks are not going to always make perfect throws.
I don't care who you are.
But if you find yourself in a situation where that was a 50-50 ball, those are the balls where you figure that Colin Sutton being a big wide receiver,
he's going to go up there and he's going to take it away.
I thought he was going to mason.
Be totally transparent.
I thought he's about to reach over and just take the ball from it.
But if you can't do that, make sure he doesn't come down with the ball.
I think, Sarah, I don't want to talk for you, but it seemed like that's what you were kind of trying to get to, right?
Yeah, yeah, for sure.
I thought, that's what I thought for sure, watching that play back and seeing other similar plays
happening in the same window of time, I felt like Cortland didn't give enough on that particular
play. And I would say the same could be said of that Kansas City rep where he was going up
against Monsour Delane. And it just seemed like he kind of gave up, you know, gave up on the play
when the ball was in the air. Like, I don't know. I just, I don't want it to be the case. I don't want,
like, I want Sutton and Wadle to be a duo. I don't want this to be a thing where it's like, well,
finally we got, you know, Waddle in the mix and he's bringing the explosives. But now it's like,
Cortland Sutton has taken this massive step back.
That's not what we want.
We want to see court be dominant at the catch point.
We want to see him go moss these defensive backs.
I think he could have on that play, and he didn't.
He was either late to react or he was slow to react or he was slow to get his break on the ball.
I just didn't like that.
It's easy for me to say, I'm sitting there in my living room watching this piece of pizza in my hand.
But you know what I'm saying?
it's just like it's tough because you want court to be that guy.
Can we also, I got to give a shot at the 303 off road in the chat because he brings up a point that we have not brought up at all today.
Troy Franklin had a hell of a catch.
Oh, man.
That was nice.
Like Troy was balling.
And, you know, I think we also got to give some flowers to Evan Ingram as well.
Evan came up with some tough catches, including that really, really like low.
No, that's the thing.
It was one of the biggest high turning catches of the game.
It came at a crucial moment.
And it was almost to the point where it's at the ground.
But here's the thing.
I don't want to hear anything.
Evan blocked his ass off in this game as well, too.
I know he had a lot of me.
Oh, we remember.
Oh, I mean, I called him out too.
Oh, I'm just saying.
There's a lot of trust here.
It's one game.
You need to be more consistent because Mike Shanahan and Bill Parcell will tell you the same thing.
You can do it one game, but can you do it for 16 to seven times?
17 game.
That's what we're talking about.
Come on.
One catch for 17 yards.
Watch out.
Evan Ingram has arrived, fellas.
Evan Inger has arrived.
One catch for 17 yards, boys.
I wish you understood the context of the game a lot more, my man.
But it's okay.
It's all right.
You just tried to low bro me.
No.
Because you are a little bro.
You're younger than me.
No.
I'm going to break.
I'm going to break.
I'm older than you.
Matt Terry here from the Lockdown Lions podcast.
You know, life insurance is one of those things.
You don't really think about until you have a.
reason to. For me, it really hit home when my father passed away over 20 years ago. You started
thinking less about yourself and more about the people who depend on you, making sure they're
taking care of no matter what. That's why I like ethos. They make getting life insurance simple.
It's 100% online, no doctor visits, no needles, none of that. You can get a quote in seconds,
apply in just a few minutes and even get same day coverage. And honestly, that's huge because life
gets busy. You can get up to $3 million in coverage, and some plans are as low as just
$30 a month. It's just one of those things that gives you peace of mind knowing your family
is protected. Take 10 minutes to get covered today with life insurance through ethos.

tuning in as well. You guys are all the best, and thankfully we're having a good time here
tonight. We always have a good time, but at least we're talking about a victory is the point
I'm trying to make as the Broncos get to one-in-one with their 20 to 13 dub over Jacksonville.
Also, what's going, like, what's up with the Chargers?
Man, they're charging.
I can smell them from Omaha.
P you, bro. Yeah, dude, they are.
That's a problem. Rate, I mean, I can't say anything positive about the Raiders, but that's a surprise.
A little bit.
Are we buying it?
Are we buying what the Raiders are selling?
Or is this a blip on the radar?
But here's one thing that I consistently said on their show.
Like you expect at some point, like I liked the Raiders off season a lot.
Like their floor is going to rise.
And obviously, like this is two games in.
Like I'm not expecting them to make the playoffs or anything like that.
But they can't just continue to be like the laughing stock of the NFL like every single.
I mean, what's like to be.
Challenge them to.
They might be able to.
I mean, even Cleveland.
Like Cleveland one day, which was crazy.
The early parts of the NFL season, I feel like, are always crazy.
How about the Saints, too?
Saints be Baltimore.
I've been high on the Saints, guys.
Me too.
They're good.
You know what it comes down to and everything that you guys talking about?
It's efficiency on either side of the ball.
But more or less, you know, offensive efficiency.
Can you move the ball when you needed the most?
You know, you may stumble in the first half,
I can have, but when you need it and you got to have one of those got to get it moments, right?
Can you go get it?
That's what we're seeing, right?
We're seeing that there's a lot of parody in the NFL and a lot of the preseason projections
of who's going to go to Super Bowl, who's going to be in the playoffs, who's going to do this
within the division.
Now all of that, man, is just kind of a hodgepodge right now because you're not sure.
You're not really sure because I didn't expect the charges to come out of the gate like this.
And then when you're talking about the Raiders, I know everyone was down on the Raiders because I know we live in Broncos country.
But one thing I know that that Mike Shanahan's system and the fact of what Clint Coelbe at can bring with with the guy that he's familiar with and Kurt Cousins, that's a team you don't want to really sleep on.
Yeah.
We'll see, you know, how it plays out.
And obviously they'll play them twice this year.
Let's get back to the Broncos here real quick.
I want to talk about their defense, man.
I think one guy that I know I was high on, I'm pretty sure we all.
is Riley Moss.
And Riley Moss had himself a game.
And obviously, I mean, Alex Singleton's
probably public enemy number one amongst the players
on the Broncos right now, but Riley Moss was catching
a lot of strays after that
game in Kansas City. Obviously,
we'll talk about the interception.
And I forget who the receiver was, but he had that
sweet. Parker Washington. Yes.
On the past breakup, on the out route.
Was that or was that Brian Thomas
June? I got to go back and watch. I think it was
Brian Thomas. I think it was Brian Thomas.
Everyone was talking about the interception.
In this game, talks.
talk about getting little brood.
Brian Thomas got little brood many times in this game.
Yeah, I mean, that's the thing is like the interception, obviously the play of the game.
But like that pass breakup on the outside on the sideline was phenomenal, man.
I thought Riley Moss had himself a redemption game.
Don't forget.
I thought Jay, Jay Kwan too.
Yeah, they almost both had interceptions.
Riley could have had two.
Like those are ones.
I think when you look at it right, because was it the J. Mack one?
I think it was the J. Mack one where he dropped it.
It was a pick, right?
But it comes up as a P-B-U.
And then Little Misses the field goal from 54 yards.
Like that was a very important swing as well.
I've been on the record saying,
I don't understand the Riley Moss hate.
Look, it's almost like when Gary,
it was like Garrett Bulls early on his career holding number 72, boo!
That's a great.
But that's why, Cody?
I didn't like, I didn't like the illegal contact call against him necessarily, right?
Especially with how the referees were letting the other,
like the Jaguars DBs play against Cortland Sutton and those guys,
I was like,
you got to be kidding me.
Like it's just,
it was imbalanced.
Moss didn't tackle well in the first game against Kansas.
I think we can all agree on that.
He was out of alignment on a couple of plays,
including the 60-yard touchdown.
I felt like for a guy who said,
I'm going to bounce back.
Riley Moss told us out in the locker room this week.
He went out there and he played,
you know,
and he always goes by the model like hard to kill.
We're hard to kill.
That's what he says about this team.
And same with Alex Singleton.
I got to give a lot of props to those guys.
Also, Vance Joseph deserves a ton of credit in this game as well because of the in-game adjustments.
There was one play that was called out.
I believe it was Brett Coleman on Twitter who pointed out the fact that the Broncos gave Lawrence a man coverage look on that interception by Riley Moss and then dropped into a Tampa 2.
And so Vance is in the bag, man.
Vance is doing his thing.
The pass rush was on point from the first drive of the game.
And I know that they, you know, got bested a couple of times.
But that strip sack that was wiped off the board by the illegal contact.
I mean, that was nice.
And what was a beautiful play?
B begging for all off season.
Strip sacks.
Hey, if you get to the QB,
freaking take that ball away, man.
Nick Veneto's like,
bet I'm on it.
So he did that.
And I love to see that.
And I love to see that Vance's unit was,
they were out there tackling well in this game for the most part.
It wasn't flawless,
but it's never going to be right.
But you had a way better showing.
and you imposed your will against a team that I think everybody in the NFL world thought that Jacksonville was going to be able to come into Denver and do the exact same thing that that Kansas City did to the Broncos D last week and that Jacksonville themselves did to Denver late last season.
I think everybody thought this is going to be another bloodbath.
Broncos defense is washed.
Why did you bring back all these players only to get absolutely destroyed?
I mean, that's what the perception was and they changed the narrative.
you got to, I mean, that's, that is hats off.
Like Malcolm Roach, tons of great reps in this game.
Zach Allen, dominating force in this.
Uwazerike was on the bottom of a pile of one of the sacks of Lawrence that got called.
But I mean, it was an effort from the entire unit from the front to the back,
although I do take issue with Hufanga's delay of game.
I mean, come on, man.
You don't, you don't got to do that.
The other thing, too, fellas, and I know they beat the Jags today, like,
Trevor Lawrence, like, you use the word, Cody, like, that dude was surgical in the first half.
And, like, the one thing that I was talking about on the radio and I brought it up to you guys when we did our Tuesday squad show is Trevor Lawrence's last nine regular season games leading up to this match.
I mean, the dude was playing like an MVP, like an S-tier caliber quarterback.
And in the first half, man, like some of the windows he was zipping these, like the, it was like on a line on it.
Even falling backwards with pressure.
Like, he's just thrown with anticipation.
Like they got a good team.
That Jacksonville team's good.
Yeah, they're good.
I think them losing Travis A-chan is obviously tough, but two,
that guy runs hard.
I mean, but they use a committee approach, right?
They use Amir Abdullah, Chris Rodriguez.
Trevor can use his legs.
I thought they did a good job of making sure Trevor couldn't run the ball with his
legs specifically in this game.
It felt like with all the pressure, it felt like Trevor got sacked more than twice,
but it was only twice.
Q. Robinson, which can we, I don't want this to sound like a hot.
take at all. I just feel like Q Robinson. Oh, don't say it, Cody.
opposite Nick Benito. I feel like there's, there's just more juice there.
I think for, and then Joe said it. He said it. I think he can come in as a rotational guy.
Oh. Well, Cody, you said it. You, you said it, but guess what? I don't think it's a hot take.
No, no, it's not a hot take, but you're absolutely right. And I bet you, they're talking about this in the building because
Even before this whole thing happened with John the Cooper,
I'm sure that was a conversation based on what Q did last year.
I mean, he's a big, long, rangy guy.
And ideas that all you need more time.
So it's not a hot take.
It's just the fact of you seeing something and believe in what you're seeing.
15 on one side, 51 on the other.
Those have literally said as much.
I mean, he was like, you know, there's times the last couple of years.
I wish we had more snaps or more, you know, ability to get these guys more play.
you know, and get them on the field. And so, you know, that was one of the conversations that we had is like, could Jonah Ellis, could Q Robinson?
Could one of these guys step up? And obviously we'll see, you know, what happens here with Jonathan Cooper is that entire situation still, you know, kind of working itself out. But.
I don't want to, I don't want to, yeah, I was going to say, I don't want to say that Jonah Ellis played bad. I just feel like at times, I feel like the combinations of rushers that Denver has, like specifically on the field, I feel like you have to have a couple of guys that just have the stylistic play. Like, I think with Jonah, Jonah, I think could be more.
of an edge setter, though I feel like a couple of times today they got to the outside edge on his
side or he didn't squeeze it down tight enough. Once again, that's just reaction to what we first
saw. I got to go back and watch the tape. I just feel like from an energy standpoint, what Q brings
as a rusher and Nick brings as a rusher, I want those guys together at the same time, where I think
you can still have what we saw work last year, Dondre and Jonah in that rotational role. That's what I think.
You know what, Cody, I'll put this in the perfect metaphor for you. That's like,
Dom Torero in the black t-shirt, right?
They go hand and hand.
Yeah, they go hand and hand.
You can't have one without the other.
Yes, there you go.
I love it.
You know, it's always the muscles.
It's always the arm is extended straight on the steering wheel,
just so, you know, the bicep could be flexed.
I only live my life a quarter mile at a time.
Oh, my gosh.
What is a Ronco squad show without a fast and furious reference?
I love it.
Let's hit our final break.
We'll come back.
We'll put a vote on the show.
A couple of closing.

Obviously, we want to just keep it focused on what we saw here tonight.
So we'll do some of that on Tuesday, fellas.
But I think just to kind of bring it back to where we started, right?
Like it was in a way, right?
It kind of felt like this Broncos team, and you guys might disagree.
Like, at least I thought like their back was against the wall.
Like just kind of knowing the stats.
Like imagine where the Chargers are right now.
And their schedule is just as brutal as the Broncos.
over the next four games.
And the fact that they go 0 and 2 against the Raiders and the Cardinals.
I mean, oh and 2 is 0 and 2, whichever way you slice.
So the fact that the Broncos were able to avoid that.
And again, beating a team that is really good.
Look, I expect the Jaguars to be in the hunt for the playoffs
and potentially make some noise in the postseason.
I'm a big fan of Liam Cohen.
Talk about Trevor Lawrence.
I like Tootman a lot.
Their defense and their pass rush with their run-stopping ability is really good.
I mean, this is a very quality win in a time where you, for lack of
better phrase, just, like, really needed it because, like, I would have, I mean,
I'm always happy to do these shows, but it would have been, like, so depressing to come on here
and be like, oh, they're 0-2, they've got the Rams coming up on Sunday night football, right?
So it was, but I'll say this.
Big exhale moment.
I will say this, right?
Like, Sarah and I have been doing this.
We've been covering a really bad, like, when the Broncos were really bad.
We've covered it.
Broncos country's gone through it.
You know, I think one of the things, too, is, like, had they gone Owen, two,
it's easy to hit the doomsday button.
It's easy to hit the panic button,
even in a win.
Like there's always things that obviously the team can correct and improve on.
I always think approaching things from, okay, if this is the problem,
okay, what's the solution, right?
And the solution is not always fire this guy, trade this guy, get rid of every,
like that's not the solution.
But like what is the solution that you can come forth with in terms of trying to figure out
what's going on at the offense?
Is the solution in-house?
Is it realistic?
Is it small, measurable, attainable, right?
Smart goals.
talk about setting those, you know, so I think getting into that, it's great to be at one-in-one,
but I think we can all acknowledge, hey, the offense, I mean, I don't know against Sanford,
I mean, against the Rams, we have to see what they look like in week two, but they don't look great
in week one, but you can't afford a slow start, especially as some of these other teams start
to find rhythm.
You've got to find that rhythm sooner rather than later, because what?
It's L.A. It's then on the road at San Francisco who looks like a well-oiled machine right now,
and they're healthy, and then you got to go and play the chargers, which, who knows what
that game. Can they find the rhythm by the time that goes?
My point is, you don't want to be here at week five going on the road to L.A.
and saying, you know what, the Broncos have to find their rhythm.
You don't want to be in that position at that point.
So I think that I think the solution is what we've talked about.
It's really trying to get the run game going, committing to it.
And obviously, avoiding penalties because the penalties are the number of thing that's
hurt this offense the most.
Should we do some game balls here to round out the show?
I'll start with Sayre.
Go ahead, my friend.
for a game.
Well, let's just give one right away to a guy that we haven't been able to talk about a ton
because it's been a full show at this point.
But Jonah Coleman for the way that he ran the ball in the fourth quarter,
when the Broncos called his number, man, he responded in a big way.
And it wasn't even just running the ball, which he did have a run of six yards
and two 12-yard runs on that four-minute drive for the Broncos as they closed out this victory.
but also pass protection, catching passes out of the backfield,
and just kind of bringing that presence of a three-down back.
I was telling Cody, as we recorded,
our instant reaction post-game show that I don't recall the last time we saw a Broncos running back
that showed the three-down abilities that we saw in the fourth quarter from Jonah Coleman in this game.
Sure, the box score says 10 carries 39 yards.
It's not going to blow anybody away.
He's not going to be getting the scepter from Kyle Brandt,
if they still do that.
He's not going to win FedEx ground player of the week.
But he showed us that he can be running back one for this team.
And I think that's the biggest takeaway is that you have somebody.
We're wondering,
as Dobbin's going to be able to stay healthy,
is RJ Harvey can be able to round out his game?
Jonah Coleman's like,
hey, just call number 20.
And he gets to the end zone.
He does the mile high salute.
It just seems like it's written in the stars for him right now.
You know what's interesting.
And Cody,
you probably know this more in depth than I do because I don't remember the exact quote.
Didn't J.K. Dobbin said that he was going to do something for the media if he wasn't healthy?
If he misses any games. He said he piqui promised he wouldn't miss any games, which he didn't miss a game like in this context.
So Sunday night football. But he did say, he said, I'll buy everyone a drink if I miss any games.
So hopefully if he doesn't miss the Sunday night game against the Rams, that is.
still be intact. But if he misses because of the hamstring, which soft tissue injuries are very
tough to overcome. And it's too bad. That's too back. Look at R.J. Harvey. Yes. So we expect that
Jonah Coleman is going to get a heavy workload. And if you listen to Coach Payton talk about Jonah
Coleman. You could just close your eyes and watch the Sesame Street bouncing ball. And you can see he is
really enamored with this guy. He referred to him in his post-game pressers. He doesn't really see him
as a rookie, right?
Based on the things that he's doing.
And that's a very powerful thing for a head coach to say about a young running back,
a running back who's going to get a boatload of carries on Monday night,
you know, when Aaron Donald and the Rams come to town.
So I like this kind of fourth quarter, Denver Broncos.
The first three quarters, I don't like that offense.
I don't like that team.
But the fourth quarter team, oh, man, I absolutely love them.
more than I love an Eclared donut right about now.
Right?
You know, it's not good to eat the Eclared donut at 9.30 p.m. mountain time on a Sunday night, right?
I know, Cody.
I know I can't eat it.
That's why I tossed it out.
Right?
I like that.
I'm going to give Jaylen Waddle, obviously, I'm going to give him a game ball,
eight catches on 10 targets, a buck 38.
You just see a little bit of everything.
And I think what we saw from him, too, the inside the slot on the outside.
I can't wait to see him more in the backfield a little bit.
And I think that's like when Marvin,
Sims comes back. They can do some really cool stuff with both those guys. I'm excited about it.
Real quick, too, about Jonah Coleman. The one thing I don't want to see happen with him,
JK gets healthy, RJ gets healthy, and his back to just not doing anything, like back to not being used.
That would be the worst mistake I think that this coaching staff can make. In my opinion,
Jonah has earned the right to have touches going forward. I think you have to go with three running backs now.
give jk and jona the primary touches in terms of the run game
RJ can come in and passing down situations
plain and simple yeah i like it
i like it for what it's worth jalen wattle actually did receive a game ball
here tonight Sean Peyton said in this post-game press conference
should I give one to Evan ingram what do you guys think about that yeah yeah you should
redeem yourself it but no I'm giving it what I want you to go apologize to him in a
locker room this week too what wait maybe you give it Evan ingram a game ball
No, I'm giving it to Riley Moss.
I was just joking.
Riley is saying.
I'm like, come on, man.
He had a great play, though.
No, look, and just real quick on Evan Enger, I'm like, I have high hopes for Evan
Ingram.
I just want to see more of it. That's really all it comes out.
Yes.
Like, I think you could be a really nice part of this team, and I've liked what I've seen
from the blocking, and the one reception for 17 yards was nice.
Wait, what?
And he had a touchdown last week, too.
Anything.
Don't forget.
Don't get amnesia.
Like I said.
AP, I see what you did there, though.
Right, right?
Shout out to SpyPlan.
Spy plane's in the chat live and rather like, we're on the right side of the screen.
We're exactly where we need to be.
See, Anilla went right back to the one reception with Evan Ingram.
Yeah.
And that 17-yard reception was so dang important.
It was a hundred percent.
I'm not.
Okay, better catch, better catch.
Troy Franklin, Evan Ingram, better catch.
Troy Franklin for sure.
Evan.
Evans was better, dude.
Troy's was one-handed.
I mean, if style points up probably Troy,
I think degree of difficulty,
like the way, how low that throw was
and just Evans' focus, which folks, I think we
sometimes we forget, like Evan, sometimes
last year would drop those types of plays.
No far or not the case.
No, and I know I sound a little sarcastic,
and I'm honestly just busting some balls here with the fellas.
Like, I truly do have high hopes,
And I hope that Evan Ingram becomes a really dynamic part of this offense.
Like it's all just, you know, having fun and, you know, just talking a little shop here on the show for conversation sake.
But I really do think that if they unlock Evan Ingram, man, like it goes towards everything we've been talking about.
You pair that with Jalen Waddle, right?
Getting Sutton in the mix more.
I mean, Evan Ingram should very well be a very important part of this offense that pushes them to that next level on that side of the ball.
But yeah, I'll give my game ball to Riley Moss.
I thought just that interception that he had was the definition of a game-changing play, a guy that's caught a lot of flack.
from fans at times over the last year or so.
I've always been a big Riley Moss guy.
I thought he had a great camp.
Obviously, he was not mutually exclusive to the rough game in Kansas City,
although him and Alex Singleton, you know,
tend to get a lot of the blame for how that game went out,
at least on defense.
So I think at the end of the day, man, Riley Moss game ball loved what I saw from him, fellas.
Well, I'm going to give Davis Webb one.
What's it, Cody?
Someone's going to give Davis Webb one.
I know we just got an interesting thing shared in our group chat,
unless you're going there.
First of all, 20 points?
I'm giving
Benz Joseph a game ball.
I'm not giving Davis Webb a game ball.
No, no, no.
No, I know.
Based on what you guys just sent to the group chat, though,
I think that statistic is a little interesting.
So for those of you that aren't,
Sarah sent it into our group chat that we have.
And it says here,
Broncos on Sunday had nine players
who had at least one play of 10 plus yards.
The best in Broncos history is seven players
on the 2013 team.
Obviously, not even close.
This offense is nowhere close to that one.
But I like the fact that,
you had multiple players involved in the explosives department, which how many times last year?
Does that require a game ball? That just means ball distribution.
No, I also think maybe the problem at times trying to distribute the ball to too many people
like are trying to give everybody touches. Maybe that was a problem for Davis in week one as well.
But pretty good. Somebody said in the chat, Davis gets tennis ball.
I love it.
Okay. So here's my last game ball, Vance Joseph, because I
know he wasn't presented with the game ball
in the locker room.
So my game ball goes to
fans Joseph and the entire
defense. So.
Well said. Look, I think this was
equal parts,
clutch offense, equal parts
defense doing what they needed to do
to help, you know, get this team to win.
It wasn't like they, I think the defense said a lot.
I think the offense had some good things and good spots
and away we go. I mean, that's, I think to bring it back,
I think it was Sarah who started the show. Like,
it was team-centric football, right? It was a
team win tonight across the board.
That's players and coaching staff and the fan base included.
It was loud out there.
Garrett Bowles in his post game press conference was talking about how that's one of the
loudest experience he's had at Empower Field, which is certainly saying something
considering what happened last year.
So yeah.
Love that.
Love that.
You got anything else here, Mr. Gork?
No, man.
Like I said, I enjoy doing these shows.
For some reason, we've had two weeks in a row, just the worst toxic trolls you
could probably think of.
They've all been banned, thankfully.
but my goodness, it's good that football's back.
This is what we've been waiting for all year.
Two weeks in and hopefully more good times to roll here on the squat chill.
Yeah, no, it is the absolute best.
We will be back on Tuesday.
So make sure to stay tuned for that.
We'll do some closing thoughts and just review a little bit more once we've had some time to digest this win from the Broncos here this evening.
And we'll take a look ahead here to the matchup against the Los Angeles Rams,
which of course is in prime time.
on Sunday night football.
