you've been around for a lot of those years as well yeah it's been a few i mean
I'm on one was it we we determined Cody 21 yep I came on I'm nine years so I came in one year after
Locked on started and they're like hey we like this guy and they've kept me ever since for some
reason I have no idea why but here we are love it no it's a great milestone man and obviously
like I'm grateful to be part of it I love that next a part of it here on the locked on Broncos
squad show and uh you know not just 10 years but here's too many more right here on your lockdown Broncos
squad show locked on podcast network in general
shout out to all of our everyday or shout out to all of our listeners comment through subscribers
you guys are the absolute best okay we've got a loaded really quick i just wanted to say in the
last 10 years do you want to know what the number one most commented thing is at lockdown broncos
the number one most repeated comment of the show i wonder what it is is i i have a bunch of exclamation
points well it might that might be contending at this point however the number one comment was actually
something that I'm pretty sure I commented once upon a time that man Cody sounds just like
Adam Schaefter.
I mean, that's the comment that I've seen more than any other throughout the throughout the
years like, dang, this guy sounds just like Adam Schaefter.
And then now I, once I said it, then I started seeing it all the time, like the car
that you drive.
So yeah, I mean, Cody gets that all the time.
The Adam Schaefter impersonator is, no, Adam Schaefter is the impersonator of Cody
The way I see it.
Yeah, it's crazy.
I would say I would be rich by now if I had a, you know, a dollar for every time I've heard that.
And here's the crazy thing.
Like prior to like all the craziness, like last year was actually the first time I met
Adam Schaefter, talked to him in person.
And it is crazy a little bit sometimes seeing.
I feel like he talks slower.
Like if I had to do an impersonation now, I'm trying to think, let me, let me pull up an
Adam Schaefter tweet real quick.
And we'll do an Adam Schaefter retweet.
in his words, and we'll see where it's at because I feel like he talks slower.
I feel like I have a lot of energy, you know, and that's not a shot against Adam,
but I just feel like I'm faster-paced here when we go.
Those expressos you drink in the morning.
Well, I drink two of them, so I'm ready to rock and roll.
I mean, like, Bo Nick said it best yesterday.
You know, I'd be full go right now if they would let me.
I mean, that's kind of where we're at here.
But basically, and of course, when you need to find a Shepter tweet, it's hard to find.
Okay, former Browns and UFL wide receiver kick returner,
Caden Davis, signing a one-year deal with the Chicago Bears.
So there we go.
You could make a Frank Caliando career for yourself.
Like Caliendo has made a living doing these in person.
I don't know if I want to do that, though.
I just, you know, I want people to be like, yeah, oh, yeah, you know,
Cody work, you know, there is.
I think what Shepter hangs up, I think rap sheet is taking over for him ESPN.
I think that's kind of like the long-term plan.
So I like it.
Also, Ferg, you know this.
from your time when Shepty was at the DeVos Post.
You know, there's a certain price that, you know,
the insiders pay to get to where they're at.
And I don't know if I ever want to pay that price.
So, yeah.
Well, when I first arrived here, my agent told me a couple of things about Denver.
Never crossed Mike Shanahan and get on his bad side.
Also, beware of a Denver reporter because if you tell him anything,
it was like telling Mike Shanahan himself.
And that reporter was Adam Schaefter.
Wow.
A lot of people don't know that about Shephty that he started his career.
You know, one of his first big breaks was at the Denver Post.
And, you know, he still does local radio stuff here.
He's, you know, always kind of been associated with the Denver community in one way or the other.
So, you know, who's after rap sheet, though?
Cody, could be you.
I don't know if I want to be an insider.
You know, I feel like you got to sell your soul a little bit.
And to be honestly, the insider game is very brutal.
But there are a lot of pretenders on the insider game.
There's a lot of insiders that are on the outside.
So it's just a crazy world.
do we live in. I just don't want to do that. I feel like I build really good relationships with
players and coaches and I have a lot of off the record conversations like stuff like that. It's like if
it's off the record, I want to preserve that. I don't ever want that getting out going somewhere else.
And I think for me at this point, it's like I want to bring fans more in particular closer to the
action without there being these crazy hyperboles around it. It's like, hey, like this is actually
what's going on at practice. You know, this is what this player said. If it's something that I'm able to say,
I just, I think the insider game, I've seen it first hand.
I've seen how it works.
It's a very dirty game.
I don't want to get involved in that.
I don't care about breaking news.
I just want to cover football and, you know,
happens to be the Broncos the best of my ability.
So, and that's why we are here, folks.
But, Cody, you're not about to take off your Scooby-Doo mask and you're someone else.
It ain't coming off yet.
I mean, I tried, man.
You're thinking the sun, too, the sun and the heat that we've had the last couple days of practice,
just my face would melt if I had a little Scooby-Doo mask on.
So, no, it's good.
10 years, 10 years.
And I think, you know, a million more.
I plan to do this till I die.
So, you know, let's rock and roll, baby.
Truly the definition of it every day.
Amen.
I mean, I'm going to live up to it, too, by the way.
Here we go.
I love it.
I love it.
All right.
Well, we've got a good show today.
I think we've got to start with backup quarterbacks.
You know, that's the big news in Broncos country.
I'm just kidding.
We got the big news about Bo Nix yesterday.
from Sean Pay.
So I'm happy to talk backup quarterbacks like I really am.
But like yesterday, like it always feels like football season never ends, right?
But like yesterday, just seeing Bo Nicks at the podium, getting the update from Sean,
seeing the footage and the pictures of Bo out there on the field for mini camp.
Like it starts to kind of feel real, right?
And obviously we found out today that the progress will cancel their final day of mini camp.
I know part of that is due to moving into the new facility,
which is like the Taj Mahal of football facilities across the board, which is incredible.
But, you know, we're essentially going to go on about a six-week hiatus here after today's practice until we get to training camp.
And then obviously, you know, the offseason program closes, get to training camp.
It's all about ramp up for preseason and regular season all after that.
But obviously, Bo Nicks, the biggest story from yesterday and I think just the entirety of mini camp.
And guys, I mean, I don't know about you.
Let's just take a step back big picture.
And I was watching the stream.
And I know, Cody, you were there.
That to me was a, and I don't know if it's because he hasn't talked to us in a while.
or maybe he's just becoming a little bit more comfortable with the media.
Like that was probably the best Bo Nix press conference I've seen.
Like I thought his personality was showing a little bit.
He was excited to be there.
I thought he looked a little bit bigger as well.
Like maybe he put on a little upper body weight,
which I think is a good thing too.
But it feels like talking about Scooby-Dumass.
Like maybe the first time we've seen Bo Nix kind of be,
I don't want to say his true self,
but he came out of his shell a little bit yesterday, fellas.
Yeah.
It was nice to see.
Sassy Bow Nix is what we call it.
Yeah.
You know, he was asked a question about, you know, is there any concern over your mobility?
And he goes, you know, my concern is that I say my ankles is as good as new.
My concern is I'm going to be even more athletic or mobile.
So it's just like, all right, you would like to see it.
But I think, you know, for Bo, I think the challenge with him coming into the NFL is like rookie year, you don't want to come on too strongly, right?
You know, there's a lot of like, I feel like, I think to not only try to prove like why they picked you, why they drafted you, but also proven to yourself that you belong.
And I think sometimes if you get too much into the personality, I think from an athlete's standpoint, maybe that's where Beau was.
And then last year, I think, Bo just really kind of started to see, like, how important it is.
I think for everyone to hear from him from time to time or get a C-Assad from, especially after his injury, he called his own press conference, which was, I think, important at Zoom call.
And then just seeing him there, like, he was just kind of like unhinged in a good way.
And it was like, hey, like, this guy's got a great personality.
He's willing to be open and honest, but he's also willing to joke.
Like, you need that.
Look at you like Peyton Manning.
Peyton Manning, there was times where Peyton was serious,
but there's time he's cracking jokes.
And you need that, I think, in today's NFL, I think, more than ever versus just
being too serious or too robotic.
Yeah, no, I'm with you.
And ultimately, I think that's going to come with the territory, right?
Like if now you're going to, you're another year older, another year wiser.
And I think, you know, let's call a spade of spade here.
Like coming into the NFL itself is intimidating, I could imagine.
But coming into a storied organization, an organization that has been star for consistency
at the quarterback position post Russell Wilson.
And again, let's be honest.
You're like Sean Payton's probably a pretty intimidating guy
to be around until you build that relationship
when it's an X as and O's kind of football perspective.
So I think like it to me,
obviously we'll get into what both said yesterday.
And he had a lot of good things about his future with the Broncos,
how his ankles healing up,
a little spat he had with a kid on the playground,
which I thought was an awesome interaction.
But that was my big takeaway, fellas.
It's like, again, I don't know if it's kind of like that first day
of school vibe for him because we haven't heard
from him in a while, but like he just seems to be comfortable.
Like that was my biggest takeaway.
And I know it's just words and it's just a press conference,
but like I think he became comfortable with his play on the field last year,
but I think he's becoming even more comfortable as QB1 of the Denver Broncos,
at least my vibe from yesterday.
It looked like he graduated to another level of charisma in my eyes.
Like when I'm watching and listening, the way that he's responding,
the wit off the top of his head, I mean, really just flowing.
feeling good and speaking confidently about the second procedure, even going so far as to say,
like, you know, he basically said I was so far ahead of schedule in my, after my initial ankle
surgery that I was like, let's take care of the bones first right now because I don't want to do
it after the season and I've got time and I'm going to be fully healthy by the time training
camp rolls around. So, you know, I think that the way that he spoke about things, the way that
He articulated his process this offseason, his confidence, wanting to be, like you said,
Anilo on the Broncos for a long time and wanting that long-term stability as long as they'll
have him, right?
I loved hearing what he had to say.
I loved hearing the fact that he's, you know, back out there running seven on seven at practice,
as Cody and I talked about for our episode that we recorded for tomorrow, really just, I mean,
that dark cloud that was kind of cast over all the excitement of the off season by what,
what's he going to look like when he comes back?
How limited is he going to be?
Are the Broncos going to try to conceal anything?
I don't know.
I mean, obviously, Bo Nix kind of just erased all of those concerns and he did it in his own
unique way, which I think makes it kind of special and sort of a momentous occasion
of where now everybody in Broncos country has that wind back in their sales, even those
people who said all along, oh, yeah, it's no big deal.
He's going to be fine.
Like, there's still that little bit of doubt in the back of your mind.
Like, well, what happens if he's not the same?
guy like we're still asking those questions as of i mean cody when did you ask that was that last
week or two weeks ago you asked sean that i think it's a fair question you know and to wonder like
is his mobility can be the same that's his superpower sean has said it we've seen it so i really
loved what he brought to the table and that scene with the kid sounded like something straight out of an
adam sandler movie like that sounds like a like a perfect setup for an adam sandler character hey
my dad says your your ankles are crooked and then you know adam sandler throws
a dodge ball at him or right in the face, something like that.
Well, here's what I'll say about Bo.
For me, we're seeing
Bo as usual.
The only thing is that we hadn't heard from him in a while.
So that's why things look like they're much, much larger
because remember, there was once upon a time we saw Bo Nix
on the field saying something to Sean Payton,
almost like, hurry up, get the damn plays in.
Like we've seen Bo Nix kind of bow up.
A young Bo Nix bow up against,
Sean Payton. So now we're just being reminded of the type of person that Bo truly is.
And remember, when Coach Payton said something about his ankle, Bo didn't take too highly to it.
What did he do? He called his own press conference to kind of clear the air.
So this was the first time we were hearing for Bo in a long time and just a reminder of the type
of player that the Broncos now have at the quarterback position. Now, when you think about what
Russell Wilson was before and say whatever you want to say about Russell, but Russell was more on
a passive side of things.
And Bo Nix isn't.
I mean, he's a calm down-the-earth guy,
but we've seen him once again in games.
Let Sean Payton have it.
Hey, Anilo, Cody, we've been at those games
where the time is winding down.
The personnel is coming in slow.
And Bo is, hey, man, come on,
give me the damn play.
So for me, it is that same,
Bo. But just with a little
lemon twist. And what I say the lemon twist
is that now he's a father,
right? It's something
about when you become a father and Sarah, you know this, and these other two guys
that figure that out when it happens to them, your life changes.
It's no longer about you.
It's more about your family, that child, and making sure that they are secure from
protection standpoint and protection from financial standpoint.
So we saw more of a mature bow, a guy who's ready to spread his wings, and dare I say,
if something doesn't happen, and Davis Webb, Sean Payton gets to play in late,
he's going to say something, he's going to be more vocal about it.
Yeah, and I think it also, I agree with you kind of on that personality trait perspective,
but also like when you just think about it, like, I don't know what the comparison is to make,
you know, but it's like if that situation ever arises, right, like, Boe probably has
enough confidence in himself to be like, okay, like, I can do this on the fly.
Like, here's what we're going to run.
Here's how we're going to do it.
And away we go, right?
And ultimately, I think the maturity level of Bo Nix has gone up a ton.
And again, I don't want to go too crazy on one press conference.
but it was just definitely something that I noticed,
probably as much as the words that he spoke
is he just didn't look like a new man.
I think the way that Sarah put it was perfect.
It just looks like he graduated to another level of confidence
and everything that kind of comes with that ultimately.
So we shall see what the future holds for Bo Nix
now leading up to training camp.
Let's hit a quick break.
When we come back,
let's talk about what we saw from Bo Nix at mini camp this week
and what it means for the Denver Broncos moving forward
with training camp rapidly approach.

Be sure to check out that Every Day Club, Cody and Sarah, do an excellent job with that.
Okay, back to the Bo Nicks conversation, good little monologue there on Bo and the maturity and all that kind of stuff.
But what did we ultimately kind of see from Bo on the field? I know Sean was talking about how we look good and this and that.
It's also like the first time that Bo is going to be able to get really acclimated with Jaylon Waddle.
kind of in the offense, Davis Webb, new offensive coordinator.
I mean, Cody, you were there, kind of give the listener here a little background
on what you saw from Beau over the last couple of days.
Yeah, I mean, obviously, day one, it was just quarterback drills.
It's going through and, you know, working on your landmarks, three-step, five-step drop,
you know, working with the running backs in tandem,
showcasing play action stuff, handing the ball off,
making sure your mesh point between a QB and the running back are on point,
and then group work with the wide receivers, throwing routes on air,
you know, down in the red zone or the end zone area.
as well. And even on the long side of the field, come back the other way, just trying to get timing down.
But really, I think today's practice is probably like the huge leap. And Sarah and I are actually going to dive deep into this more on tomorrow's episode of the show.
But he upgraded to participating in seven on seven. And on his very first throw of the day, he finds R.J. Harvey for a touchdown from about 20, 24 yards out, a well-placed throw there. And then he connected with Marvin Mims and Troy Franklin on the next two plays on routes that they ran respectively.
just nice to see him getting a majority share of the reps there.
I mean, it was to the point where he got four reps and every other quarterback got two after that.
So he got the bulk share of those reps there in that seven on seven period.
So huge steps forward here for Bo.
Well, I think I would say that, Nick, you can kind of speak to this.
Like, if he's participating on seven on seven, like, is there another step for him to necessarily take?
I'm sure it's just more and more reps and all that kind of stuff.
But like as it pertains to like mini camp and training camp activities, I know the pads aren't on quite yet.
but like that's about as much as you can do at this point given where he's at injury-wise as well.
Yeah, and I think this was more so to quiet the stomach rumblins of those in the media
who have been constantly focused on what does foot look like?
Will he get hurt again?
Who's going to be the backup quarterback if he were to get hurt?
So it was a way of showcasing both because yesterday, we didn't really get a stance to see a lot of him
because they did a lot of their work before we actually got out there from a media standpoint.
But today you wanted to send everyone off with a boat of confidence, right?
So no one goes into the offseason thing and like, well, we don't really know what to think about
what's going to happen with Bo Nix once the team comes back.
But also keep this in mind, Bo hasn't participated in a lot of the offseason program, right?
So he's just been standing there watching, but this gave him an opportunity for him to get out there
and for everyone the first time see Bo, you know, from a media state,
standpoint orchestrating what Davis Webb hopes to be a productive offense of this season.
And everyone wants to vote of confidence.
And known as though you have Sean Payton was a former quarterback.
You have Davis Webb who's a former quarterback.
Everyone, everything is built in this NFL is to kind of placate to the quarterbacks.
So you want to make sure Bow has a sense of confidence as he's rolling into the offseason six
weeks before he does anything else where we actually would be able to see him from a stress stamp.
point and seeing what that foot actually looked like.
So to me, today's practice was just about Bo.
Just trying to let everyone get a chance to see him so they can write their articles.
They can say that Bo is looking fine.
He's going to be well and ready for training camp.
But yet, fellas, we still don't know that because I won't really know that until I see
him moving around in team's activities where you got Jonah Ellis or maybe Q Robinson
coming off the edge and Boe really has to move.
I think that's fair.
And let me ask you this, though.
Like Sean Payton came out the other day and said he'll clearly be ready for training camp, right?
Like Bo is talking about like how he's ready to go and everything that kind of comes with that.
So yeah, I'm sure there'll be kind of a learning curve, for lack of a better phrase,
when he gets out there and he's got pass rushers coming at him.
But I guess the question is, like, are you taking what we've heard from Sean and Bo at face value?
Not me.
I mean, look, I'm from Miami, but I like that show me attitude, right?
Like Missouri.
and show me state.
I want to actually see it.
And I think everyone wants to actually physically see it before they can believe it 100%.
Now, what I can tell you from a player standpoint, no matter what,
we always think that we're ready to go mentally,
even though we're not.
Cody can attest to this.
He's had injuries before.
If you asked him, even though he knew that, man, I need a shot.
I need a break.
He's going to say, I'm ready to go.
And of course, Sean is going to say that because you want everyone to know that.
you want everyone to feel that.
You don't want to go into these next six weeks hoping and wishing and we don't know.
And maybe Sarah's wife will come up with another photo of the guys on the trip of Bo Nix's foot.
I don't know.
But this is a way to kind of ease the stress that Bo is going to be okay.
I think it's fair.
I think it's fair.
And ultimately the jury's kind of still out, right?
But I think we're getting good signs about where Bo Nix is at.
And ultimately, I think that's all Broncos country could really ask for at this point in time.
I mean, Sarah, kind of what do you make?
make of the situation right now.
Well, I mean, I think like Nick said, this was an opportunity for all the reporters and
writers like me and Cody to get our articles out there and say, hey, like, Bo looks good out
there.
We're seeing all the video footage.
People boots on the ground are seeing Boat throw a touchdown pass in his first rep of 11 or
seven on sevens or whatever it was, right?
I mean, this is the hype that is going to carry into the deadest part of the offseason.
And that bow looked good at OTAs.
He said that he was already ready to go.
And so that's what we should expect coming into training camp, right?
But I think, I mean, to everybody's point, like, and to what I even said earlier,
in the back of your mind, you do want to see him run around out there against past rushers.
You do want to see him out there having to do what he does best, which is make plays on the move,
right?
And so I don't know that it's, I think it's shifted from being maybe like a doubt that that's
going to happen to like, all right, now that's, that's what I want to see next in order to continue
to kind of climb this ladder towards comfortability, because ultimately, as we were discussing
before the show even got going, like, we know this season really hinges on Bo Nix, even though
Mike McGlinchy said, I'll stack this roster up against any other roster in the NFL.
I think for an extended period of time, if they needed, they could win some games without, but like,
ultimately, we all know this, that this is true of any team in the NFL.
If you lose your quarterback, you're screwed.
Like, that's just the case, right?
And so the Broncos are in that same boat as everybody else.
And I think that maybe it's misery loves company,
but what quarterback at the top of the league right now doesn't have that.
I mean, you could name any number of them and say, well,
Lamar's been dealing with injuries.
Joe Burrow can never stay healthy.
Patrick Mahomes coming off a major injury.
Justin Herbert was wearing the Chubbs Peterson hand last season.
And like there's so many different injuries going on with every quarterback in the NFL that he liked that one.
I mean, it's true, though.
I mean, he's out there.
He's got the big hand.
He's like, you know, okay, shake your hand and it falls apart.
But that's where I'm like, okay, I just want to see him take that next step up the ladder, right?
As opposed to maybe a month or so ago, you're hearing, oh, well, Beau had a second procedure.
Okay.
Well, that's kind of nerve-wracking, right?
I mean, like, that wasn't supposed to happen.
So then it casts some doubt.
But now we've seen him on the field and we've heard him speak.
So that's shifted from being doubt to like, okay, let's keep climbing.
I'm surprised Anilov didn't even respond to that.
I mean, am I the only one?
I can let him talk.
I mean, must not be a happy Gilmore guy.
I mean, are you?
Yes.
I mean, you got no response at all.
Nothing.
Wow.
There's three other guys here.
There's three other guys here.
You guys.
For a guy that, you know,
It was big into golf now as of late.
You know, you figured you get the reference.
Yeah, you figure that.
That's what smelling salts does to the brain.
Oh, my God.
Here we go.
Now it comes full circle.
Now I get it.
God forbid.
I'll send a picture.
Here's another thing, too.
I think there's a lot of good conversation as well going on, you know,
obviously in the live chat as we're talking about this.
I think there are a lot of narratives out there, too, that, you know,
we also need to address regarding this team here.
You know, and Daryan's having a good conversation with everybody here.
But people are talking about, like, you know, the Heim Butler edition and obviously Sean Fresh Jr.
Like, what does this mean for the Broncos?
My dog is killing me on this episode, folks.
I apologize to hear the squeaking toy right now.
But there, you know, a lot of people are like, oh, what does this mean for these guys?
Here's the reality, folks.
It means very little in the grand scheme of things.
Hakeem Butler is taking over Michael Woods spot.
Michael Woods got hurt during O.T.
and so he's going to be a guy who's going to come in and get an opportunity.
Sean Fresh Jr., I think the value is like, yes, he was a good punt returner in a UFL.
He can play corner for you.
He's just going to be a depth spot there.
But, you know, none of these moves were made by saying, okay, hey,
well, like this guy's going to be signed because, you know, Marvin or this guy or the other,
I think that these guys have hard pass to the roster.
And that's just a testament to where these guys are at right now.
I want to get your guys' thoughts on that.
But also I think Marvin Mims, I think there's this misconception.
And Nick, you're there.
at, you know, with me at practice, there are a lot of people to say that Marvin can't run routes.
He doesn't have, he has no route tree.
That's not how the Broncos have used him, but I think that right there is he's not just this one-trick pony.
And we see it every day in practice.
The problem is we're not seeing them use what we're seeing at practice in the games, which
maybe that changes under Davis.
I'll say this, man.
There's been a lot of things said about Marvin.
And one of those things, like you said, Cody, his route running.
But if his rock running is an issue with him going into his fourth year, that's on who, right?
I like the thing that's on coaches.
And then also, to me, to be negative against Marvin, man, just like, man, are you watching these games blindfolded?
Because every time they put him in the game, when they put him in the game, there's always a big play.
The problem is that we haven't seen it in a large abundance of plays.
So when we look at where Marvin is right now with this big question mark on the expiring deal,
I'm going to blame a little bit of the team and the scheme and the play callers for what we haven't seen from Marron on a consistent basis.
Now, I will say there are certain aspects of Marvin game that he needs to improve,
but I still will remind people, guess what?
And when you're looking at Y receiver room, there's only two guys in that Y receiver room who can call themselves pro bowlers and Jalen Wado isn't one of them.
He should be, though.
That's crazy.
That just shows that the process is so flawed.
What did you guys make of Sean Payton's quote, though, about Marvin?
I mean, I thought it was really interesting, honestly, the way that he worded it,
and especially the more you think about it, he said he doesn't need to convince us,
because that was the question, right?
What does Marvin got to do to convince you, blah, blah, blah.
Well, he doesn't need to convince us is what he said.
He said, I feel like each week when we go into game planning, we're always talking about certain
things and his name, I know, comes up from me. That last bit right there is the interesting part.
It's like, Sean's not getting overruled when it comes to involving certain players. We've seen,
and I call these fabricated touches. We've seen fabricated touches for Lil Jordan Humphrey.
We've seen fabricated touches for Pat Bryant. We've seen fabricated touches for Troy Franklin.
We've seen fabricated touches for Cortland Sutton, R.J. Harvey.
You name it.
I mean, everybody.
But Marvin, who seems to be the guy that, okay, he caught fire in the second half of the 2024 season, right?
It was when he had his big run in the second half.
I think he finished second on the team in yards after the catch or maybe even first on the team in yards after the catch, despite not being used hardly at all.
And then all of a sudden, you're like, all right, going into year three, we've got it clear.
Like, all we need is for Marvin to get more touches.
as Pat Bryant comes into the mix, all of a sudden, Marvin's an injury replacement again.
And this is where I do the Brian Winhorse thing with the two UFL guys.
And I'm like, now why would they do that?
Because why do you bring in the all-UFL punt returner?
And, you know, I know he's a slot corner.
You're loaded at corner, but you bring in the UFL, you know, all-UFL punt
returner for the position that is filled by an all-pro.
I mean, how many other all-pros on this team have had guys signed at their
position to come in and compete.
Like, I don't know.
I mean, I don't know where that's happening.
So this is where I get into the tinfoil theory.
And I agree with Cody.
The battle to the roster is uphill at best.
I mean, for Hakeem Butler, 30 years old, he's kind of been the quadruplea baseball player,
not good enough for the NFL, too good for the UFO.
I get it.
This is like his last shot.
But he was also the first UFL player signed by an NFL team.
And the Broncos went out and were like, hey,
we are going to win the bidding to get Hakeem Butler to Denver.
And then they give him freaking Terrell Davis's jersey at practice.
I'm like, what the heck's going on?
And then you bring in the all-UFL punt returner right after Marvin changes agents in the middle of OTAs.
And I just think, once again, we know the Broncos weren't going to do anything now because they would have to face the music to the media.
But now you've got six weeks to think about everything that just transpired and how you're building out this team.
Who's going to be around?
Who's not?
And that includes players like Marvin.
Jonathan Cooper obviously now is a major question mark.
And maybe other players that we're not thinking about because I do, I know, Michael Woods injured,
bring in an injury replacement.
But to go get the UFL offensive player of the year, when you have Dondray Tillman on your team who came up from the NFL, very, very interesting to me.
It is. I was going to say, to even add to that, too, like we caught up with Darren Rizzy last week.
And one of the things that Rizzi said to us specifically was, you know, now like with the modifications of some of these rules, like it allows them to look at guys who they feel like have good return skill sets, whether it be at the college level, whether it be guys who are free agents.
They really look at like, what can this guy do?
And look, I think in today's NFL, the more you can do, it's almost kind of like this industry.
the more you can do in this industry, the harder it is to like, you know, replace you.
You know, you're more likely to get something if you were a Swiss Army knife.
And so to be able to play on defense.
And I've been paying attention to him because he's been wearing number, I think it's number 37, if I'm not a mistake.
He's been wearing number 37.
I mean, he's got tight, tight skills to the football, especially when playing, you know, the receiver.
He does a good job getting in phase securing, you know, his hand, you know, and FERG, you know, this is a former DB coach and the DB yourself,
getting your hand around the hip and then bringing your ball side hand forward to knock it away
in case you miss the deflection.
Well, now you have an opportunity to go there and make the tackle even if the guy makes the catch.
But I'm watching him in these return games.
And also like in the special teams drills with Darren Rizzy.
And there are things that I like about him, not necessarily just as a returner, Sarah,
but like in terms of kick coverage.
I think that if you can go out there in the preseason, let's say you got these three
preseason games, let's say he's on the roster, and you go out there and you make plays
and you're doing this consistently in training camp practice,
you are going to make a case for yourself to be there.
Because think about it from this standpoint, too.
Who do you want returning?
Do you want Michael Bandy returning punts if Marvin goes down?
I don't think people collectively would agree and say, yes, we want that to happen.
Even though I think Bandy, once again, he had them off,
but there were times he came in and did some serviceable things.
But you can't risk that.
Like if you were losing a key player in that element,
you need to have someone who can come in.
I'm not saying, look, you're not going to find an all-pro
return guy that's not going to, you know, return much.
Like those guys aren't out there, but you need someone that can catch the ball,
more importantly field before you.
Remember the years we were praying that the Broncos find a guy who can return punts
after like the Trinden Holiday thing.
Like they went through everybody that was fumbling the ball.
Jordan Norwood fumbled the ball.
And to the point, we're just happy to put Jordan Sunshine Taylor back there.
And all he would do was just catch him.
We're like, man, he would just got a guy who can catch the dang ball down there.
That's how far we've come here.
Like Marvin is an absolute luxury right now.
It's like I don't even know what the comparison could be.
Let's say you go to, I don't even know, your favorite breakfast joint.
And it's like, you know, do I want pancakes?
Do I want waffles?
Well, I'm going to go to the place that gives me both.
Well, guess what, Marvin is the pancake and waffle that you're going to have there.
I mean, because you can't go wrong with either one.
I don't know why I'm going on a food tangent right here.
Probably makes no sense.
People listening probably what the hell are you talking about, Cody?
I have moments like that.
Trust me, I ask myself the same damn thing sometimes.
Cody, let me throw something in that because I know the ideas that with Sean Fresh
coming in.
so late, it's not going to give him a massive opportunity.
And I'm not saying that because of his skill set in the USFL, all of a sudden,
that just kind of puts him over a lot of people.
But you have to really take that into consideration because here's what I know about the NFL.
It's all about staying power.
What gives you the ability to stay?
The more things that you can do, and they pay you the same amount of money for it.
So when you look at Fresh, even though he's 5-8, 173 pounds, you brought up a guy who was
really small, but he excelled at what he did.
And that was Trenton Holiday.
And I'm not saying this guy's trend in Holiday.
I'm not saying that he's even Devin Hester.
But you have to acknowledge the skill set because being a returner, a punt returner,
not if you player can do that.
So even though he's a corner, you got to think, okay, well, maybe you can play him
in a nickel because he's not a big, big guy.
But we have to see if he can play in that slot because you got, I mean,
you got to have some brass ones to play in the slot because you're not only just a
corner, but you are a byproduct of the line.
lineback accord to as well. So if I'm Chris Abrams drain, I'm thinking about this too. Maybe when I
come back, I'm telling Rizzi, guess what? You know what I did in the offseason with my six weeks?
I learned how to catch punts, right? And even though you may not think that this impacts
Marvin Mims, but this may be the Broncos playing head game saying, Marvin, we know you change
agents. We know what you're trying to tell us. Guess what? We see you. Right? This is the way that
they're saying, we see you. But now, will this motivate you?
Marvin because Marvin already has been, you know, the questions have been asked.
Well, they added Jaylon Wado.
So what does this mean for you?
So now you add another returner.
So what I'm hoping that Marvin gets really pissed off.
He comes back in six weeks and he tells them the kisses, you know what, and he just goes out and he balls out.
I don't see that from Marvin.
I don't see, Marvin's such a down.
See, see, see, see that's what I thought too.
But see, I went to a practice early in this week where the alumni were only the ones there.
And I saw a different Marvin.
I love it.
I saw a different Marvin where Marvin was like, hey, he went after guys physically.
I looked at Rod Smith was like, I mean, is this the same person?
So Marvin knows.
Marvin is tired of people stepping on his name and saying what he isn't.
and the team bringing players in trying to force him out.
Trust me, this is a different Marvin Mims.
I love it.
It's an interesting conversation.
It really is.
I've got a wrinkle that I'll add to that as well.
Why don't we hit a break?
We'll come back to do just that right here on your lockdown Bronco squad show.
All right, you guys, real quick, let me say about our friends over at Ruggiat,

All right, welcome on back into your locked on Broncos squad show.
Just want to put a bow on the Marvin Mims conversation.
I think you guys really said all that needs to be said.
But like, you got you got to be.
be ready to go up to 36 hours, bro.
Share this photo in the text, man.
Yeah, it's uncanny.
I mean, it really is.
When you're talking about the Chubbs Woodhand versus Justin Herbert,
whatever he had going on underneath the glove last year.
That kind of looks like my hand, doesn't it?
Fresh off of Ruggia Reed, too, man.
Crazy.
You know, I've got to have fun.
I'd be full go of.
let me.
By using that later on and see what happens.
There you go.
There you go.
Sun goes down.
You never know what's going to happen.
All right.
All right.
All right.
Put the ball on Marvin Mims.
What were you going to say?
No,
I think you guys said everything that needed to be said,
but also like isn't this part of the reason why he got a new agent?
Right?
Like,
I mean,
that was a big conversation.
I want to say that we had a couple of weeks ago, right?
And, you know,
maybe this is more fuel to the fire and this and that.
And ultimately, like, I know you saw what you saw, Nick, as it pertains to Marvin in his practice session.
What was that last week or earlier this week?
Yeah.
But I don't think, like, this is now a story, right?
Like, that's kind of how.
I mean, I think it always was a story.
But when you bring it a guy, I'll be it from the UFL that specializes in what Marvin Mims does.
Like what Marvin Mims as good as or as much potential as he has as a wide receiver.
And as much as we want to, you know, bang the door down for Marvin Mims to get more involved in the offense.
And it's like he's made his bread and butter as a kick return.
So when you bring in someone that's the best at their job in a different league,
like this is just going to be a story until it ain't.
Like that's kind of where I'm at on this one, folks.
And I think ultimately like there's a reason why Marvin made an agent change, right?
And who, I forget the name of the agency right now too.
But like this is like the notorious agent.
Athletes first.
Athletes first, right?
You know, and so I think that's just another little wrinkle to add into this conversation.
I just, I mean, I just don't think like for Marvin, it's as much of a story.
is I think we all sometimes might think it might be here.
Like Marvin, here's the thing.
Marvin changed agents because he wants to be here in Denver.
And his current agents weren't even initiating conversations with the front office.
You know, for Marvin, he wants some, some, some,
some, at least some assurance of some potential security here going forward,
especially considering that this is a dude who's done so much for this offense.
He's been one of the clutch players that they've had on the team,
one of the best returners in the entire NFL for three straight season.
But also on top of that, he's also taking some shots.
thoughts to the head. You know, and so for him, he's at a point where he just, like, I want someone,
like, you want an agent who's going to fight for you, right? Like sometimes guys sign with an agency
and at first they sell like, you know, we're going to be your biggest advocate. We're going to do
this, that and the other. But then it's like, wait, where am I on the list of your clients that are
seemingly a priority, right? Like Marvin, that's, Marvin wanted to be taken care of it. And he found an agency
one of the best right now that's out there that is willing to go out there and fight for him.
And when you see it, it's not because they're like,
I'm just not happy.
It's like, hey, my agent's not doing what I hired him to do.
I'm going to go find someone's going to do it.
And that's where it's like, for Marvin, it's serious business.
And I'll do respect to fresh junior.
He's not on the same level as Marvin, not even close.
But you know, you need to be able to have guys who are capable of returning in the event,
something were to happen.
Or if Marvin's, you know, after this year was not with Denver,
I don't think it's going to be him.
I think they got a lot of options right now that they're looking.
But I also think going forward in future drafts, I think this is going to change.
Because of the kickoff rule, I think there are going to be a little bit of a highlighted emphasis on guys who have returnability.
And if there are guys that are very, very good at it, they're going to take a look at it, at least, especially with Darren Rizzi.
It's one thing he said to us last week.
Those guys who are returners, they have value.
And I know some people when they talk about Marvin Mamm's like, oh, no, he's just a one-trick pony.
But I'm going to tell you, you know, back in my day, I'm going to give you the names of, of,
three guys. And you guys tell me what you think. I think about Josh Cribs who played for Cleveland.
Cleveland. I play. Devin Hester and Dante Hall. Those are the returners that I face as a player.
Those guys were considered one-trick ponies in their own right, but they were game changes.
They could swing momentum in your direction by setting up the quarterback in the offense on a
short field and understanding what the NFL rules are now from the far as from the kickoff standpoint,
point. To me, those are points, right? Just think about, there were several times last season
where Marvin Mims set the Denver Broncos up to get points, right? And you think about Will Lutz.
Will Lutz, I mean, he should be given like Marvin Mims flowers every single day because he set
up a chip shot for him, right? Yeah. And there were two games last year that Marvin Mims definitely
helped the Denver Broncos. Thursday night game at Kansas City and the home game, again,
Kansas City. He took the ball past midfield or at midfield. Those are points, right? Now, if you
were to tell me there were any other players on the Broncos roster who can do that for them,
I'll sit here and listen. I'll wait. Well, remember, there were people that wanted PS2 to return
Ponce at one. No, my freaking goodness. Please, I was like, why? Like, that was just that epitomized
the Hackett year, just like the level of stupidity that we heard from.
the world.
God.
Here's the thing that I look at too with this whole, you know, the conversation around
Marvin.
I look at a couple players.
I know Darien mentioned Jalen Naylor in the chat three years, 35 million total money.
We know the Broncos were interested in Jalen Naylor in the offseason, but he hasn't
returned any kicks or anything like that.
I look at the Rashid Shaheed situation going from New Orleans to Seattle and how much money that
trade made him.
Not to say the Broncos are this year.
version of the Saints by any means, but I don't know that Rashid Shaheed is getting three years,
51 million if he doesn't do what he did in Seattle, especially down the stretch last season,
in the playoffs, showing what we're talking about, that he can be more than just a return
specialist, which we saw in New Orleans, right? But he really highlighted that in Clint Kubiak's
offense there in Seattle. And he became a very rich man as a result of it. I think he got 20 million
and guaranteed money.
And so Marvin has to be looking at that situation,
which we also heard Sean Payton say it's important to bring this up
regarding J-Quan Macmillan,
who is also eligible for a new contract.
Sean basically told everybody,
like those contract discussions don't happen until around training camp.
Like,
and that maybe they could happen here in the interim and the in-between,
right?
I guess I don't know when they start,
but like as far as any potential frustration on Marvin's part
of getting the conversation going,
I don't think there's anything from the Broncos end that's saying, hey, like we've been sitting here waiting at the negotiating table for your agents to get their butts up here and figure something out.
I don't think that's the case, but I do think that there's enough out there from guys in that tier of player that really Marvin has to decide, am I going to be able to make Rashid Shahid money by getting traded to another team?
Or am I willing to take Jalen Naylor money to stay in Denver and continue being what I've been, which is a.
elite return specialist and semi-used offensive weapon that comes through in the clutch over and over
again, right? I don't know. What is he really wanting? Because you put a lot of zeros in a guy's
bank account. I mean, if you throw an offer at Marvin Mims right now, let's look at the guaranteed
money. Jalen Naylor's contract. He got $23 million in guaranteed money, $18 million fully
guaranteed at signing. If the Broncos came to Marvin before camp and we're like, we'll give you the same
exact deal three years 35 million 23 million guaranteed is Marvin turning that down and say no trade me
somewhere else and risking getting less cavante turpin great example three year extension base value
of 13.5 million an additional 4.5 million of performance based incentives it brings that value up to a
total of 18 million dollars a cavante turpin deal my look Marvin I don't think is looking to make like
Rashid she had money, though I think it would be nice, 100%.
But that would have to be a promise in there, not only from like, do you think a team would
give him that money considering how inconsistent they've used him offensively?
Now, if they figure, here's the thing, if they actually find a way to use him and use him more,
like Sean even said it to us this week, like every week we go into a game plan, the number one
thing I'm thinking about is, how can we use Marvin?
What can we use Marvin with on this?
If you can promise that as a play caller and you can feature Marvin a lot more
in that established role.
That's going to give Marvin leverage as well.
And I think there's going to be balanced to that.
That is the question here.
But I think Kavante Turpin's deal is probably a good baseline for that.
Because realistically, what is it, 13.5 million?
You can make $4.5 million in incentives.
Well, guess what those incentives would be, hey, you make the Pro Bowl, you make an all pro.
Here's this.
Here's 2.4.
Here's 2.2.
Like, there's ways that the Broncos can maneuver around this to where,
not only is going to be good for them, but it's going to be great for Marvin as well.
So I'm curious to see where those conversations even start and where they obviously evolve into.
Well, let me throw this into the conversation.
So Sean said every week Marvin Mam's name comes up, right?
Which I would like to think that it would.
Someone's suggesting, hey, man, we need to get Marvin more involved.
Now, at the end of the day, who signs off on whether those plays are implemented or the scheme is kind of put out there,
to showcase Marvin, right?
There's only one person that makes that decision.
And here's what I know that is, it's crazy.
Once you see how the sausages made in the NFL,
it would change your mind and you might not want to eat it.
And what I mean by that is that teams have the ability
to highlight whomever they want to highlight
and take away snaps from whomever they want to take snaps away from.
And you may think that a team would never do this.
And I'm not accusing the Broncos of doing this,
but I've seen it happen.
Right? I've seen it happen before. A guy is on an inspiring deal. So, you know what? How do you lower his value?
You don't really give him that much touches. In my day of playing, Sean Alexander, who played for the Seattle Seahawks at the time, had a bonus in his contract based on a number of rushing touchdowns that he received.
You know, they have people inside the building who capologists, who keeps track of these things.
And guess what? When he was right to about to hit his bonus, they took him out of the damn.
game. Now, I'm not saying that this is what the Broncos are doing in Marvin Mims, but you can look at it and say, well, he's not being utilized the way that he should.
Is that all on him? No, it is not. And by him not being utilized in that way, on the open market, you are already devaluing him, right? Because teams will go, why will we trade for him? But I tell you what, there are two teams that I believe that his numbers will go up if you were ever traded.
to these teams. You know, those two teams are, the San Francisco 49ers and Sean McVeigh and the
fighting Rams. Those two teams will find ways to utilize Marvin Mims skill set.
I thought you were going to say Buffalo, too. I'd throw Buffalo in there as well. Why not?
Our good friend Joe Marino emails me every year and says, hey, what do you think the Brock's
would think of afraid here for like, you know, send Marvin here to Buffalo for this. I was like,
not happening. They ain't going to do that. But also here's another thing too. I don't know,
like the incentive side, if that's how
Sean operates, because what have we learned historically?
AP, you and I, stop barking.
You and I both sat next to Emmanuel Sanders
at Radio Row, and he said, one thing I love about Sean is he knew I had,
I needed this many catches in order to get incentive.
You know what he did?
And first half you said, don't worry, I got you.
And he got him all those catches.
Now, Troutman was a little bit of a different story
because Troutman was not going to come anywhere close to that.
But I don't think that's going to be the case here with Mark.
Yeah, no, it's a fascinating conversation.
And ultimately, we'll see what happened.
I'll leave you guys with this on the Marvin Mims discussion.
Did anyone think they were going to cut Tim Patrick?
Did anyone think they were going to trade Devon Bailey?
Those were two curveballs in recent memory.
I also think the value of Marvin is far different than those two guys.
And I think his new agency speaks volumes about the situation as a whole.
I think athletes first is just to put a bow on it, Cody.
Like you talked about, you know, engaging with the Broncos.
I think athletes first is going to have the conversation with Marvin about, hey, we're going to get you paid.
Are you comfortable if it's maybe not here?
Right.
I mean, ultimately, we'll see what happens.
A lot of time between now and then.
I think we're all hoping that Marvin Mims, though, ultimately gets a contract extension with the Denver Broncos.
Okay, let's hit our final break.
When we come back, we'll put a bow on the show, a couple of mini camp standouts and a little bit of a recap here as move forward towards training camp.
All that more when we come back right here on your locked on Broncos squad show.
All right, you guys, real quick, let me tell you about our friends over at Odu.
The best organizations know that success isn't just about talent.
It's about having everyone work towards the same goal.
And that's true in sports, just like it is in business, guys.
I mean, look at like Sean Payton and George Payton, right?
Like, obviously George comes before Sean, but like the Broncos don't really become what they were last year without the efforts of both of these guys.
And now the fact we just saw them both get extended and how that's where.
working wonders for the Broncos and ultimately we're all super optimistic about what the Broncos
will be with the tandem of George Payton and Sean Payton and eventually guys like Bo Nix
getting a contract extension as well and running a business shouldn't feel like you're trying
to connect a bunch of systems that were never designed to work together.
One app for accounting, another for inventory, another for sales, and somehow none of them
talk to each other.
That's where Odu comes in, guys.
Odu is an all-in-one business management software that it brings every part of your business
together in one powerful platform, from sales and accounting to inventory and marketing,
everything works in one place, helping your team move faster, stay organized, and focus on
growing the business instead of managing software, guys. Be sure to check them out.
It's a great, great organizations win because operations matter. Just look at the Denver Broncos.
They've got a great one-two punch with Sean Payton and George Payton.
The Nuggets, to be determined. The avalanche, to be determined. The Rockies, what's going on
with the Rockies. But the Broncos are a great example of how this all comes together.
And that's why you should get O-D-O-D-O-D-O-com slash lockdown. That's O-D-O-O-O-O-D-O-O-D. Be sure to check out our
friends over at O-Doo. Be like the Broncos. Be like the Broncos. Be like the Broncos.
All right. Welcome on back in to the program. It is your Lockdown Broncos squad show
winding down here on this Wednesday, June the 17th, making our way closer and closer to
Broncos training camp. Of course, the news came out today that they are not going to do their final
day of mini camp, which is, I guess, not surprising. I know part of the reason why they're not doing it is
because they're moving from the old practice facility to the new practice facility, which, as I said
earlier in the show, is like the Taj Mahal of practice facilities as it pertains to professional sports.
So today is essentially the last time we'll hear from the Broncos. I know there'll be some, you know,
player camps that they do off to the side. So you might hear from like Pat Sartan and a couple of
different guys here and there, but in a team sense,
last time we'll hear from these guys for about six weeks.
Cody, you were down there, Nick.
I know you were down there for some OTAs and some Mitycamp stuff as well.
I mean, talk to me about some standouts.
Like we've talked a lot about Bo.
We've talked a lot about Marvin.
But maybe who are some guys that are maybe not talked about as much that maybe
deserves some shine from what they did over the last couple of weeks?
Well, I'll give an offensive and defensive player and I'll see where Ferg is at with
his.
I'd say offensively, Evan Ingram, just, you know, seeing a lot of feature of him,
which has been good after playing a career low in snaps last year.
I mean, I think collectively,
there were some issues with not only just the play calling.
I think the usage. And on Evan's side, there were some drop issues as well.
Not all those drops were on Evan.
I think, you know, Bo and him needed to continue to work on that chemistry a little bit together.
And then defensively, I'm going to go to Red Murdoch.
The seventh round pick, I feel like he is flashed.
He's looked fast instinctual.
He doesn't think too slowly, right?
If you have to think too much at linebacker, you're going to look lost.
He doesn't look lost one bit.
Those are two guys, I would say, have stood out to me.
Well, I would say offensive defense start with offense first.
Jonah Coleman, he looks the part.
I mean, he's well built and put together.
And he just showed a lot of attributes that made the Broncos want to select him
and why Broncos fans should want him to get more play in time.
Because there was one time, I think it was a day ago yesterday.
He caught a pass.
It was a little thrown behind and he was able to reach behind him and pull it in.
I'm not going to say it was like, O'Dembeckham-like.
But being able to be able.
to, I guess, contort your body, still pull it down and be able to get your shoulder.
I mean, we're going to see a lot of that for him this season.
But for me, man, it's Jonah Ellis.
And I know, like the team said, well, we're going to move him to inside, then we're going to
move him back to outside.
I'm glad that they're just kind of getting him on the field.
And this is the kid that you can move anywhere on the field, and he's going to make stuff
happen because he's upset about what happened last year when the Broncos lost to the Patriots
lost to the Patriots, and he lost to his older brother.
So he's really upset about it.
But, I mean, to see his level of get off.
And what you see from a lot of players, especially at this particular position,
you can see that he's growing into it.
Think Nick Benito.
When Nick Benito was here his first year, he wasn't an all-around player.
He was just a third down specialist.
But now he's developing into a guy that you can leave on the field for all three downs,
even on fourth down if you need to.
But Jonah Ellis, man, watching him,
him come off the edge. It was scary because if the Broncos quarterbacks were opponents, man,
a man, I'm saying a couple of hell marries for you because he's about to put you in the dirt.
I love it. I mean, he's been one of the players that has been highly talked about this offseason as well.
And ultimately a guy that I think is, we're all hopeful, kind of blossom this year with the Denver
Broncos. And obviously, we'll ultimately see what happens with John and Cooper. Like if Cooper,
depending on how that plays out, right, maybe some more opportunities for a guy like Jonah Ellis as
well. And ultimately, like, this is a guy that you can't really keep down for too long in Jonah Ellis.
Like he's going to, if we progress like the way that we're talking about, like as Nick just
mentioned, like he's going to break through eventually. So we'll see what happens with Jonah Ellis, man.
But yeah, I think Reda Murdoch's an interesting name. I think Evan Ingram, like that should get
Broncos country optimistic because I think, you know, maybe one of, if not the most disappointing
Bronco relative to expectations last season was Evan Ingram. So we'll see. But Sarah, you got any
closing thoughts before we get out of here, brother?
Well, imagine how much better
the Broncos offense can be if they do
get the version of Evan Ingram that
they signed up for last year and
that Evan gets the role that he signed up
for as well. And you add
Jalen Waddle to the mix and you properly utilize
him as well as improving and upgrading
the running game. I mean, I know
that's a lot of ifs and I know there's a lot of
like, whoa, this sounds good on paper.
But like if those things do happen,
which isn't out of the realm of realism,
I mean, this
offense is going to take off in a big way. I mean, Luca Evans posted a really good stat
that Bo Nix had, I can't remember what the stat was in terms of the pass attempts within five
yards, but it was like one of the lowest average yards in the short pass attempt range,
which means essentially the Broncos quick passing game as an extension of the running game
also wasn't working. So I think you have guys who can get that going and get that aspect of the
Sean Payton offense going, drive starters. You've got players who are
able to start drives for you, utilize those guys.
So that's what I'm really excited about hearing what we've heard.
I think the Broncos are in a good spot.
And I'm really excited about what the offseason brings.
And I'm fascinated to find out now that we're entering two weeks left in the month of June,
Sean Peyton said, check back with him at the end of June as far as what the roster is going
to look like.
You guys know me.
I love to put on the tinfoil hat.
We'd love to see now the Broncos have gone through OTA's mini camp, what adjustments
to the roster are they going to.
to potentially make entering training camp and getting some guys playbooks out before they have
an opportunity to compete.
Love it.
Love it.
We'll ultimately see what that training camp roster looks like, what the roster itself looks
like following training camp.
And I mean, here we go.
Full steam ahead now.
I know it's a little bit of a low period, but like you can feel football really getting
back in the air here.
Excited to be at training camp.
Cody will be there.
Nick will be there.
I'll be there.
And we'll have you guys covered all throughout the next six week low period.
And then, of course, when we start really wrapping up for training camp preseason, regular season, and all of that good stuff.
But for Cody Roach, Sarah Bedinger and Nick Ferguson, I am Anilo Piro.
Thank you guys so, so much for tuning in to the program.
We'll be back at it again here in a few days on your lockdown Broncos squad show.
Make sure to hit that like button and subscribe button on your way out the door.
We'll talk to you guys soon.
Peace, y'all.
Under this guy.
